Entertainment Recommendations in Jiuzhaigou

There aren't many entertainment options in Jiuzhaigou, but the more common ones include song and dance performances, roasted whole lamb, horseback riding, and bonfire parties. Among them, the Tibetan Fan Theater's "Tibet Fan" and the horseback riding tour in Songpan are two worthwhile experiences.

Tibetan Fan

"Tibetan Mystery" is a large-scale, original Tibetan song and dance performance, produced by Rong Zhongerjia and directed by Yang Liping. Based on the experiences of an elderly Tibetan woman on her pilgrimage, "Tibetan Mystery" incorporates songs, dances, and instrumental music from various Tibetan regions, presenting a immersive portrayal of daily life, folk customs, and religious rituals. Each song and dance authentically captures the essence of Tibetan culture.

Songpan Horseback Riding Tour

For many people planning a Jiuzhaigou tour, Songpan is little more than a stopover. However, thanks to Lonely Planet's extensive coverage of the route, Songpan's horseback riding tours have become quite famous among international tourists. On Songpan North Street, you'll find the "Happy Path Horse Tour Team" and the "Shunjiang Horse Tour Team," both of which are affiliated. Typically, the tour guide and guest experience is a one-on-one relationship. The guide provides a horse for the guest, while they ride their own. The horse's back carries food, tents, blankets, and other camping equipment. Tibetan robes and raincoats are also provided for guests to protect against the cold. Visitors simply enjoy the scenery on horseback; the guide takes care of all the chores, including setting up camp, cooking, and feeding the horses.

Fee: 150 yuan per person per day, 100 yuan per additional day (picnic and camping expenses are included)
