Luoping is the primary settlement of the Buyi people. Northeast direction: the direction of Luoshuitian, Jiulong Waterfall Group, and Jinji Peak Cluster, one of the travel and photography routes.
Southeast direction: the direction of the Shiwanda Mountains, Duoyi River, and Lubuge Small Three Gorges is the main travel and photography route.
The Luoping Rapeseed Flower Festival typically begins around January each year, with the flowers typically blooming after the Spring Festival. Generally, the rapeseed flowers bloom until early April. Pay attention to their blooming timing: early warmer weather leads to earlier blooms, while later warmer weather leads to later blooms. There's no specific date; the blooms vary from year to year, so pay close attention to online information.
From January to April, the weather in Luoping is still quite chilly, ranging from 10-16°C (62-74°F) with a significant temperature difference between morning and evening. Wearing a fleece jacket is recommended. Also, women are advised to wear brightly colored clothing to create beautiful photos amidst the sea of rapeseed flowers.
Luoping's overall cost of living is very low, with food, transportation, and accommodation all very affordable.
