Luoping's specialties, the "Three Yellows" and "Three Whites," are turmeric, honey, and rapeseed oil; ginkgo nuts, sweet potatoes, and white lilies. Water pipes, embroidery, batik, five-colored flower rice, bamboo and wood crafts, and Buyi clothing are also popular with tourists. The county town and the Jiulong Waterfalls, the Little Three Gorges, and the Duoyi River scenic area are home to numerous small but diverse tourist shops, primarily honey and rapeseed oil. Luoping's honey is pure and flavorful, with leading brands including Yunling, Luokang, and Luoyue. Local rapeseed oil, free of chemical bleaching treatments, remains of authentic quality. Local Buyi clothing, lingjiao (Lingjiao), and egg buns are also available. If mushrooms are in season, take home a few pounds of Luoping chicken longan.
Spicy chicken noodles are made with spicy chicken as the sauce and eaten with rice noodles. It is delicious and convenient. It can usually be eaten for 3-5 days. The spicy chicken sauce will not go bad for ten days or half a month.
Luoping small yellow ginger is fine and delicate, with high oil content, delicious color and rich aroma. As early as 1958, The dried ginger blocks made from Luoping small yellow ginger are the best among dried ginger products.
