Yuewang Tower

Yuewang Tower was originally built by Li Zhen, the eighth son of Emperor Taizong of Tang, when he served as Governor of Mianzhou. Construction began during the Xianqing reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang. Its grand scale and splendor, at a height of 100 feet (ten zhang), made it the tallest of the four famous towers of its time (Tengwang Pavilion is 90 zhang, Yellow Crane Tower is 60 zhang, and Yueyang Tower is 30 zhang). Hence the saying, "Yuewang Tower is majestic, Yellow Crane Tower is grand, Tengwang Pavilion is talented, and Yueyang Tower is elegant." Yuewang Tower was damaged and rebuilt several times. A fire destroyed much of it in the late Tang and early Song dynasties. Extensive restoration efforts were undertaken during the Yuan Dynasty and a further reconstruction during the Ming Dynasty, but a fire there completely destroyed it, leaving only the Yuewang Terrace. The restored main tower stands 99 meters tall and has 15 stories.

126 Cultural and Creative Industry Park

The 126 Cultural and Creative Park formerly housed the former 126 Electronics Institute No. 9. However, with the development of Mianyang Science and Technology City, the production facility gradually relocated to the industrial park in the High-tech Zone, leaving behind numerous old red brick buildings and various pieces of production equipment bearing the marks of their time. Artists have since gathered here, establishing design studios, photography studios, cafes, and bars. The strong industrial heritage and rich cultural heritage have attracted significant attention.

Xishan Park

Located west of Mianyang City, Xishan Park boasts enchanting scenery, a destination visited and sung by literati and poets throughout history. Xianhai Tourist Resort

Xianhai Lake, also known as the Chenkang Reservoir, is a large reservoir within the Fuzi Canal of the Wudu Water Diversion Project, known as the "Second Dujiangyan." It is also Sichuan Province's oldest national-level water conservancy scenic spot. Designated a provincial-level tourist resort in 2015, it boasts excellent water quality, a vast lake, and lush vegetation. Xianhai Lake specializes in water sports and recreation, integrating exercise with nature and allowing visitors to enjoy a close connection with nature. Dakang Town in Jiangyou City has a large lily cultivation and breeding base. In recent years, they have also developed a scenic spot dedicated to lilies. Currently, the "Bai Nian Hao He Love Valley" boasts over 1,500 lily varieties, covering over 5,200 mu (approximately 1,000 acres). Doushan

As a young man, Li Bai visited this mountain and inscribed the timeless quatrain, "The woodcutter and the farmer, entering and exiting the painted screen."

Zitong, steeped in history, was an early settlement of the ancestors of the Shu Kingdom. It served as the northern gateway to the kingdom and a key scenic spot along the Shu Road Scenic Tourism Route. Known as "Confucius in the north, Wenchang in the south," Zitong is recognized worldwide as the birthplace of Chinese Wenchang Culture. Qiqu Mountain is Zitong's most famous scenic spot, making it a key scenic spot along the Shu Road Scenic Tourism Route.

Two Bombs City

The Two Bombs City Scenic Area was formerly the site of the China Academy of Engineering Physics, my country's second nuclear weapons development base. After the institute relocated to Mianyang Science City, it became a popular tourist destination. The area boasts over 160 buildings, all imbued with architectural features from the 1960s and 1970s. Sixteen academicians, including Deng Jiaxian and Wang Ganchang, worked and lived here, and seven Soviet-style villas remain well-preserved. The numerous historically valuable and unique sites and artifacts offer a glimpse back into a vibrant era.

Qiqu Mountain Scenic Area

The Qiqu Mountain Scenic Area is located at the southern end of the Jianmen Shu Road, bordered by the Bayu Three Gorges to the east, the magical Jiuzhaigou Mountains to the west, Mount Emei to the south, and Jianmen Mountain to the north. The scenic area boasts the Qiqu Mountain Temple, hailed as a "museum of ancient architecture"; China's largest pure ancient cypress forest, hailed as a "living fossil forest"; the Ancient Shu Road, comparable in size to the ancient Roman roads; and the Wenchang Culture, symbolizing "blessings, prosperity, longevity, happiness, and wealth."

Luofu Mountain Hot Spring Tourist Resort

Luofu Mountain is a steep mountain, perpetually shrouded in rising vapor and shrouded in mist. Its 12 towering peaks occasionally appear through the clouds, earning it the name Luofu Mountain. Yaowang Valley

Yaowang Valley is located on Yaowang Mountain, bordering Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County in Mianyang City and Jiangyou City. This area is rich in traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, with centuries-old medicinal trees dotting the mountains. Legend has it that Qibo, the founder of Chinese medicine, and Sun Simiao, the Medicine King, both resided on the mountain collecting herbs and treating illnesses. Mountain residents have long held the custom of offering sacrifices to the Medicine King Bodhisattva, hence the name Yaowang Valley. Jiuhuang Mountain

Jiuhuang Mountain is 68 kilometers from Mianyang, 170 kilometers from Chengdu, and 230 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou. The eastern route of the Ninth Ring Road passes through the scenic area. The area boasts natural wonders such as alpine caves, cliffs, and primeval forests. Its rich and diverse ecological resources offer picturesque scenery year-round.
