Introducing Qingdao

Qingdao is located at the southern end of Shandong Peninsula. It is an important transportation hub in the eastern coastal area of China and a major port for overseas tourists to enter and leave China. Shinan District: The central and western parts of Shinan District are the old city of Qingdao. Shinan District is a gathering place for scenic spots. The iconic attractions such as the Zhanqiao, Xiaoqingdao, May Fourth Square, and Badaguan are all in this district. They are not far away, and many places can be visited on foot.
Shibei District: It consists of 17 characteristic streets. You can shop at Taidong Pedestrian Street, drink beer and eat clams at Beer Street, and look for traces of Qingdao's development at German-style street...all showing the Qingdao style.
Development Zone: Huangdao District, commonly known as Qingdao New City District, not only has a rapidly developing economy, but also has unique natural and vivid coastlines such as Golden Sand Beach, Silver Sand Beach, and Zhucha Island. To reach this district, you will also pass through the longest undersea tunnel in the country - the Jiaozhou Bay Undersea Tunnel.

Best time to travel

Spring, summer and autumn. In spring, Qingdao Zhongshan Park is a sea of cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms on Sanming South Road are also unique, quiet and intoxicating. Autumn is the season for seafood, crabs and shrimps are in season, and you can eat whatever you want. The golden sycamore trees in Badaguan make you feel like you are in Paris, France. Summer is the golden season for seaside tourism, such as the Qingdao Beer Festival and the Fashion Festival, which are all attractive. It is also a good time to enjoy seafood and many other delicacies.

If you go to Qingdao in spring, you should keep warm and windproof because the sea is windy. A thin sweater with a small jacket or a shirt with a thick jacket is a good choice. July and August are summer vacations, which are suitable for swimming. However, there is more rain in July and the temperature generally does not exceed 30℃. August is Qingdao's sauna month, with the temperature at 30-32℃ for nearly half a month. You can bring a swimsuit, wear breathable clothes, and do a good job of sun protection. The temperature difference gradually increases in autumn. Wear single clothes in September and October, and two pairs of pants in early November. Wear a shirt and a thick jacket as the top.

Qingdao's consumption level is in the upper middle level in China. A bottle of ordinary Tsingtao beer is generally 5-6 yuan, and seafood such as mantis shrimp is generally 25-35 yuan per kilogram. Therefore, during non-popular times such as the National Day Golden Week and other major holidays, for a general self-guided tour, except for the expensive accommodation and tickets to a few scenic spots such as Laoshan, 600-800 yuan is basically enough for one person to travel for 3 days.
