Most accommodations in Quanzhou are concentrated in downtown, where the main tourist attractions are also clustered. Wanda Plaza, Wenling Road, and other areas are the most convenient. However, Quanzhou is small, and a taxi ride to almost any tourist attraction costs less than 20 yuan, so don't worry about a hotel's poor location. If you're flying or connecting, you can choose to stay near the airport in Jinjiang City, which is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Quanzhou. Hotels cost around 200 RMB. If you're looking to visit the beach, staying in Shishi City offers convenient access to the Gold Coast. Shishi is also not far from Quanzhou, about a 30-minute drive away, and a taxi to downtown Quanzhou costs about 40-50 RMB (taxis are generally not metered).
