Don't forget to bring back two bottles of Shaoxing aged wine after buying these. With over 2,500 years of history, Shaoxing aged wine has won numerous national awards and is considered a top-tier liquor. The fennel beans from the Xianheng Hotel have also become famous, thanks to the character Kong Yiji in Lu Xun's novel.
In addition, Shaoxing's famous handicrafts include: Shaoxing lace, Muben satin, black felt hat, etc. Local specialties include Shaoxing fermented bean curd, Shaoxing Pingshui pearl tea, Shaoxing duck, Zhai Damao fragrant cake, Ding Daxing rice cake, etc.
Shopping in Shaoxing is primarily concentrated around Jiefang Road City Square, with Jiefang Road being the most convenient.
