Fiance and i found this place yesterday --the whole gardens was spectacular but this was just magnificent.

It's a little bit of a drive away from Central Ave and Bathhouse Row and historic downtown Hot Springs....but it is completely worth it! Simply lovely, inspiring and beautiful. Entry to the accompanying Garvan Gardens is $15 per adult, but there was no cost for visiting the Anthony Chapel as it is technically outside the garden entrance and exit. It was one of the top highlights of our visit to the area.

Went to a Christmas concert and was not disappointed. Sound resonated wonderfully. Beautiful setup and reverent atmosphere.

Having seen most of the large cathedrals and mosques of the world, I found this lovely jewel breath taking in its simplicity and sense of stillness.

This church building is absolutely amazing. Free to see, just a short walk from the parking lot! If your in the area, you must take the time to visit. Beautiful!

Beautiful stop, the chapel is breathtaking, and the trails are worth walking. Overall we enjoyed the beauty all around.

Beautiful chapel, but not worth the 1 1/2 hour wait we had to get closer to it. (We couldn’t go inside.) A bridal couple took photo after photo long after their guests had left & while a crowd of tourists waited to go closer to the chapel. Call ahead to ask if there’s an event that could prevent you from seeing it or go on a weekday/morning.

Nice detour which provided a lovely walk through the woods. The chapel is unique and not crowded. Admission is free but one has to pay to see the gardens. Enjoyable visit.

We loved the unique architecture of this chapel. It looked much larger on the inside than it did from the outside. This chapel is used for weddings and made us want to remarry right on the site. The glass walls made you feel one with nature.

The chapel is exquisite both inside and out. The architecture is amazing. Good to know...you do not have to pay admission to see the chapel. It is outside of the botanical gardens. Just follow the signs.

If you see the intro pic then you can mark it off your list of things in life to do. Unless you are wedding venue shopping not worth the visit. Even when you combine it with the garden (tree garden) right next to it, it’s still not worth it.

This chapel is worth the visit. It is beautifully placed amount trees and forest-like surroundings. There is a small waterfall nearby and plenty of other things to see.
I could see how this would be an incredible place to get married. We loved the view and contemplated on God’s openness and beauty.

Anthony Chapel is in Garvan Woodland Garden near Hot Springs. The gardens are signed from nearby roads. The chapel can be visited from the parking lot without paying in go into the garden, but the gardens are very worth a visit.
Access to the chapel may be blocked when there is a wedding in progress. Schedules can be checked online.
The glass and wooden structure compliments the woodland setting perfectly. A place for prayer and quiet contemplation as dappled shade falls through the glass.
We travelled this way to see the chapel and were not disappointed.

Absolutely gorgeous! To the right of the entrance to the Garvin Woodland Gardens. It is also well air conditioned for a break for a hot day.

i am not a religious person but this building is STUNNING!!!! it blends in like it belongs there and lets all the light in. just beautiful!!! DO NOT MISS IT - regardless of your beliefs.

Saw this at night when I went to see the Christmas lights. Spookily beautiful...a definite must-see!

You can visit the chapel without entering and paying for admission if you just want to see the chapel. It was so pretty. However I highly recommend the entire gardens. You will not be disappointed

I can't say enough about this place. It is truly breathtaking, I could sit forever just taking in the beauty of this chapel.

Located in the woods by Garvan Woodland Gardens, the Anthony Chapel is an amazing structure of glass and wood. One of several scattered around the country, it's clear glass walls and soaring ceiling make it seem much larger.

This was beautiful site to see. It's free if you don't go into the Garavan Gardens.. Was just breath taking and inside it was air conditioned. I would love to get married here. Just beautiful

This was the only highlight of my trip to Hot Springs. If you are in the area, this garden and chapel are definitely worth your time and money. Do not miss this chapel. It was closed the day I visited so I could not go inside but I could look through the windows and it was still beautiful.

A free attraction next to the wonderful Garvan botanical gardens. You cannot miss this. Be sure to make a photo with your sweetheart at the altar.

The chapel is very interesting. There was a wedding rehearsal there to it was difficult to see because the security person tried to keep us from even approaching the chapel. Looking at it from the outside was nice.

My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary by renewing their vows here and it was wonderful. A very beautiful accomplishment in architecture and design with fabulous scenery.

Great place to have a quiet moment while at a serene setting. I would love to remarried here, but lbam already married!! Maybe how renewal!! It is an architectural wonder and is just lovely!!

What an amazing place. Just absolutely beautiful!!
Do plan on going if in that area. Plan on spending about 3-4 hours. The grounds around the area are amazing when foliage is in full bloom. The Chapel itself is beyond amazing! Amazing artwork at its finest! Very peaceful and quiet place to sit and relax and say a prayer.
Be sure you go arrive when they first open. It gets extremely busy on weekends and the walk form parking can be long as well as the entrance line backs up for hours!
So worth the trip!

We didn't get to go inside the church as it was being used for a private event at the time but it was lovely from the outside and we explored a bit of the surroundings. I would highly recommend a visit!

This was absolutely beautiful and worth the trip up the mountain and the hike through the woods, for

I've seen pictures of this before but always thought it was an open air chapel due to the way it looked in the pictures. However, there is glass in the "open" spaces and it is air conditioned.

Anthony’s Chapel was even better than my expectations! Two young ladies broke out in song and the acoustics were great!

You can't go inside do to covid, but you can see all you need to from the outside in about 2 minutes.

I'd envy those who have a chance to marry here. It's peaceful and romantic. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls bring the forest inside the chapel. Sitting inside a sense of peacefulness enveloped me. A must-to-visit place

I think this is a must do in Hot Springs. We found out that you do NOT have to pay to get into the gardens ($15 adults) to see the church and bell tower. The path is to the right of the gardens entrance off the parking lot.

Part of Garvan Gardens, but worth the trip. Gorgeous architecture. It's a popular wedding spot, so it's closed if there's a private event.

This 60 ft high, one level chapel is nestled among the pines and near Lake Hamilton, features floor to roof glass walls and flagstone floors. It was designed by the same men that designed Thorncrown Chapel in a Eureka Springs, AR. A popular wedding venue, it is part of the Garvan Woodland Gardens complex and is not to be missed. There is also a carillon just down the walkway from the chapel.

A must-do if you visit the area. We loved the gardens. We walked most all of the paths in about 2 hours or so. Take your time and enjoy!

This is very similar to Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs as both are mostly glass and nestled in the woods. This is on the grounds of Garvin Gardens, but you can visit it without paying entry to the gardens.
It is a lovely setting and so peaceful. Periodically you can attend concerts there, but it is good for reflection and quiet moments. The architecture is fascinating with spectacular lines.
I think Thorncrown Chapel may be prettier in its lighting and setting, but this one is worth a visit. Both stay very busy on weekends with weddings.

Garvin Gardens located off of Carpenter Damn road on the outskirts of Hot Springs is an unexpected jewel in an otherwise broken down town. Anthony Chapel is located within easy walking distance of public parking. The chapel, with it's perfect use of wood, glass, and stone emerges out of a dense quiet forest blending in with the environment in an awe inspiring contemporary architectural design. With light filtering in through the trees, it is a beautiful peaceful respite and open for both public and private use. The chapel and surrounding area, with lovely waterfalls and flowers, is a very popular place for weddings and special events. There are also peacocks strutting around to appreciate. This is truly a destination spot in the autumn, also, amazing decorations for Christmas and Easter (with special attractions & activities for children). I can't even imagine visiting any place outside in this oppressively hot humid bug infested region in the summer season. Thankfully, Anthony Chapel is air conditioned.

We made a stop here on our way out of town and were so glad we did. This chapel is such a beauty in the woods with its glass, wood and stone features. I've never seen anything like it. I did notice that some of the features were ala Frank Lloyd Wright. We did not see the other structures related to this one such as the bride's hall and we didn't even see any signs for it. We wished we'd had more time to visit the Garvan Gardens.

Don't miss the Anthony. It is just beautiful. It is one of a kind and I would visit again. Very restful.

Anthony Chapel is Wood and Glass Beauty, one of the most beautiful Chapel I ever seen. The Architectural Design is flawless. It a must see when visiting H.S.

Although I am not one for botanical gardens, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Anthony Chapel and the gardens. This chapel is so interesting and unique and I could not wait to visit! The area surrounding was green and beautiful! I wish that I could attend a wedding here, it was a magical location.

What a beautiful chapel ! I'm sure it is a glorious place to conduct weddings, baptisms and more. The architect did an excellent job in deciding just how tall to make it, without feeling overwhelming, and how much of it to be "see-through" and still consider the beams of wood as walls. -- It is part of a Garden, but you can see it, without paying and going thru the garden.

My husband and I loved visiting Anthony Chapel. The wood and glass architecture blends beautifully and majestically into the landscape. We will return on our next visit to Hot Springs.

We did not get to go inside because there was a wedding in progress. This chapel is in the Garvan Woodlands which was absolutely beautiful

Absolutely beautiful. The chapel was closed due to COVID restrictions, but you could still look through the windows and tour outside. Want to go back when we can actually go inside it !

Beautiful place included in the Garvan Woodland Gardens tickets. After touring the gardens on a very hot day, entering the Chapel was refreshing. You can get to the Chapel from either the parking lot, or front entrance to the Gardens. A two block walk.

Anthony Chapel reminds me a lot of Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs Arkansas and is just as pretty. Anthony Chapel is next to Garvan Gardens (which charges an entrance fee) but you can visit the chapel for no cost.

Such s beautiful and tranquil place. This is a great place to go when looking for something quiet and comforting to do. Walk through and enjoy the beauty.

I posted the same review for the garden, as they are intertwined: I’ve been to many botanical gardens, and this isn’t the most grand. It’s more like a nature reserve. But there are a lot of neat bridges, architectural pieces, and bodies of water. Pretty koi pond with HUGE fish. Fun sculptures.
The Anthony Chapel is beautiful. Built as a joint venture of inside and outside/wilderness. A must see. Peaceful & quiet place of reflection if you can visit at the right time.
The staff were kind and super helpful. Entrance into the garden proper is around 20 dollars, but the chapel and bell tower are free.
Plenty of parking. Lots of places to rest. Fairly accessible for the disabled.

We stopped here first thing in the morning. GORGEOUS! You can just walk in and sit for a while. Or sing. The acoustics are AMAZING. It’s like you just blend right into the woods around you.
Absolutely the highlight of our visit to Hot Springs

Beautiful architecture that blends into the surrounding trees. Even though the chapel is enclosed in large glass windows, you feel like you are outdoors. Definitely "one with nature." I can only imagine how beautiful a wedding would be here.

The entire park was gorgeous! There are many trails to take and explore, but the Chapel was the highlight. It was open to walk throughout the day we visited and I could have spent the entire day soaking in the calming atmosphere of the Chapel.

This Chapel is stunning! The glass walls make you feel like you are sitting outdoors. It must be beautiful in the spring and summer with everything blooming! An absolutely perfect setting for a wedding!

This was worth the short drive and walk. Perfect place for a wedding or service. The wood and glass architecture are amazing with the wooded background. Definitely should visit.

Beutiful chapel, beautiful architecture! We loved the chapel, the bell tower and the gardens. Highly recommend.

There were 3 weddings in this chapel the Saturday that we visited. Thankfully we got there between the last 2. I enjoyed the tower and landscaping in the area nearly as much as the chapel. Absolutely beautiful - and they allowed dogs (outside the building of course) on the trails! Enjoyed the afternoon tremendously and intend to go back for the botanical gardens ( dogs also allowed!)

Just returned for a short vacation in the Hot Springs area. One of the highlights was to visit and view Anthony Chapel in the gardens.
It was a wonderdul day with perfect weather. However there was a wedding being held that early afternoon. Due to this, there was a guard stationed at the top of the pathway to the chapel and closed for a block of time.
I understood and while disappointed was able to see the beauty of the chapel from a distance and also got to see the bridal party heading down.
The area around the chapel was peaceful and sat on the small stone bridge to enjoy the small waterfall.
If the chapel is the highlight and you really want to see, ask when buying a ticket if a wedding is going on. If so, expect at least three hour block where you can't get near the chapel.
Went solo and pricing was reasonable. Discounts for vets, first responders, etc are offerred. If large family or group can run expensive. If you have a hard time walking, there are limited golf cart tours for $30

One of the highlights of a trip my wife and I made to Eureka Springs, several years ago, was a visit to Thorncrown Chapel. When I was planning our recent trip to Hot Springs I came across a photo of this building and it confused me a bit. I thought there was only one building like this in the world. I was wrong. As impressive as Thorncrown is, this one may be even more so.
Fay Jones and Company created another masterpiece that is like the icing on the cake of a visit to Garvan Woodland Gardens. Even after what seemed like miles of hiking marveling at the rest of this area it is definitely worth the short stroll from the parking lot to experience it.
In fact, you can visit this chapel without having to pay the admission fee for the rest of the Gardens and its only a short drive from Hot Springs.

Such a beautiful chapel. There were 3 weddings the day we were there. You don't expect to see something this exquisite in the woods.

It is a very nice small chapel. Just be the lake. Surrounded by trees. Will be a great choice for wedding.

Beautiful, if you love architecture then you will most definitely love Anthony Chapel.
It’s A MUST when you’re in Hot Springs or just passing thru, and pay the entrance fee and enter into Garvan Woodland Gardens and see all the beautiful tequila things Garvan had to offer, you will revisit at each of the changing sessions, they have them
All covered.

I attended a wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous! It felt as if I was sitting outside because of the large glass windows. I wish I'd have had more time to wander through Garvan Woodland Gardens while I was there.

The chapel alone is worth the trip. However, we spent another hour walking the grounds. We didn't see it all but we loved what we were able to view. Perfect place for photogs - there was an amazing shot every five feet.

Really well done and quite beautiful. The grounds are very nice. It would be a very nice place to get married i"m sure.

Most fabulous place. Plants, flowers, well manicured, plants native to the area everything in balance. All seasons are represented

very beautiful and serene place. Natural wood beautiful ceiling and floors; you need to know where you're going as it's tucked back in the woods!

Beautiful setting. Beautiful architecture. The outdoors is brought indoors. So glad I saw this work of art. Easy parking in May.

Beautiful tranquil views of the woods from this incredible chapel. The architecture is breathtaking. The surrounding gardens are immaculate.

Glass and wood Chapel set amid towering trees. Breathtaking !!! Made me want to get married again to my bride of 25 years.
Located at Garvan Gardens. Wheelchair accessible.

A wonderful and beautiful glass and wood chapel. As nice as the famous one outside of Eureka Springs. A true monument to the architect.

The chapel is inside Garvan Woodland Gardens, which is a great place to spend the day. The chapel itself fits perfectly into its forest setting. The wood beam and glass construction is stunning. My mom loves architecture, and she went nuts over this building.

This place is a hidden gem. It has one of the most beautiful chapels I’ve ever seen, hidden in the woods, there are beautiful gardens, streams, views of the lake all around. Very well maintained (except bathrooms were all closed, at least the two in the back half). Cost is $15 to visit, but will not charge if you are going to only see the chapel, but it’s worth the $15 to wonder through the gardens. I would love to see it in the spring, the place is full of azela bushes.

This is a must do if you are in the area. Enjoy a walk in the Gardens and some time in the Chapel. The chapel has the most peaceful settings, it’s great for photos or reflection.

Plenty of parking and a short walk to the Chapel. The chapel wasn't busy when we arrived around 4 pm on a weekday and we got some beautiful photos.

Amazing structure in beautiful woodland setting. Great place for weddings. Garvin Woodland Gardens is a peaceful retreat from stressful travel and technolgy.

Very similar to Bella Vista’s Cooper’s Chapel. Both incredible wooded chapels. At the entrance of Garvan Woodlands Gardens and a definite stop. There is a fee to enter the “Gardens” but the chapel is very close to the outside entrance and no fee.

I have traveled extensively throughout the US. This is one of the most beautiful sites. It's a must-see when visiting Hot Springs. I would recommend visiting at dusk. Its speculator when lit up.

My sister and I once visited while a couple was there planning their wedding. It was fun to watch. I have not been to an actual wedding there, but I can imagine it would be quite lovely.
It's also fun to visit with kids, especially young teenagers, any time of year. It's not part of Garvan Woodlands Gardens itself, but a combined visit to both places is great, especially during the Christmas Lights event at the Gardens.
I've visited the chapel at least four times, and one great thing about it is that it's always different from the time before. Time of year and time of day or evening creates a varied environment.
Another great feature is the carillon tower nearby, which plays a hymn every hour on the hour. (Or at the Christmas season, a carol.)

Beautiful work of art! Worth the trip to the Garvan Woodland Gardens. Visit during the week and you may have the place to yourself.

Beautiful building that gives you the feeling of being outdoors. What a marvelous place to hold a wedding or any worship service.

wedding going on so we couldn't go in but very pretty setting. we did take lots of pictures on the outside. We walked around through the area and enjoyed seeing the gardens.

The only thing missing was the ability to enter the building, due to the the COVID restrictions. Would love to come back and tour the inside of the chapel.

My wife and I thought it would be nice to visit renowned chapels for each of our anniversaries since our wedding was in a famous chapel. We were not disappointed! E. Fay Jones (architect) has created amazing works. I am an architect and I was was truly impressed by the beauty.

All i can say is WOW! If you go to Hot Springs this is a MUST see, it is beautiful and so serene and peaceful.

I'm sure this place is beautiful, however, we didn't get to see it. We decided to stop at the chapel on our way home. The hours online say it's open at 9 AM. Unfortunately, they do not open until 4 PM. Obviously, we couldn't stay to see it. Update your hours so others don't waste their time as it is about a 30 minute drive from downtown Hot Springs which is where most people spend their time.

Unfortunately closed due to Covid but you can still appreciate the beauty of this place. Just awe inspiring.

This is a beautiful, easy accessible chapel located next to the Garvan Woodland Gardens. It’s free to visit with plenty of parking. The architecture and views are amazing. I could sit here for hours, if close by, don’t miss this gem.

Breathtaking......I have seen many pictures of the chapel, but until you experience it for yourself, words can not explain it. A MUST SEE....included in the Garvan Woodland Gardens.

We did not expect it to be this beautiful! You can feel God’s presence for sure!! Simply stunning! So peaceful! We did not do the walking trail that you have to pay for since it was a bit chilly. But beautiful surroundings as well!

An event was occurring, so we could only walk nearish. (Side note: must be strange to have so many strangers walking nearish to your wedding.)

Very nice architecture but I was unable to enter the chapel as I have on previous visits. There was a sign on the door stating that it was closed but gave no reason why.

Very serene & peaceful. It was closed so we didn't get to go inside. I's at the Garvan Gardens and its a must see also. Beautiful. Altho not a lot was in full bloom yet.

We loved our visit. The architecture on the chapel is outstanding. The gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed walking through the park, well kept and clean.

We visited the gardens and couldn’t wait to see this chapel. Even though it was closed due to Covid and we couldn’t go inside we still could admire the structure and beauty of it. The sitting is peaceful and quiet.

Anthony Chapel inside Garvin Gardens is a must see place in Hot Springs. It is beautiful with its unique craftsmanship and peaceful atmosphere.

It is hard to describe this beautiful structure in words. A must see for anyone traveling to Hot Sprimgs.

My brother was married here on April 3, 2021. It's a beautiful venue and sparkling clean.
They were quite strict about social distancing inside the chapel and limited guests to 85 because they block off every other row. The only improvement I would make (which is too late now) is the addition of restrooms for the bride/groom and wedding guests. The closest restroom (in the groom's quarters) was locked and we had to walk all the way back in heels to the restroom at the entrance. It's a minor inconvenience so no big deal.

We were in the area the 2nd week in Nov and I can't say that is a great time to visit the gardens. You know not much I. The way of flowers to been seen. If you are close by stop and take a few minutes and see it for yourself.

Beautiful chapel with amazing views. Very nice and peaceful. Everywhere you look, there were beautiful views of God’s country. Would be a great place for a wedding. We did not have time to your the gardens, so we took the short walk to the chapel and left, but I’m sure the gardens would be great to tour.

So unusual and majestic! Fits in with the trees and landscaping. Weddings are popular there, so if you can't get in, go back the next day like we did!

Its a piece of artecturial history. Its very quite and very spiritual. we went at almost sun down and it was very hard to leave

It is a beautiful place! feels like you are sitting outdoors when you are inside. Gorgeous! Check out the bell tower that sits off to the side some what. And the gardens around it are beautiful to walk through, there are some small hills but I had no problem.

I would not have gone out of my way to see this but it was part of Garvan Woodland Gardens. It is apparently a popular place for weddings and I could see why after viewing it. The Chapel is beautiful and serene. It is surrounded by gardens which offer multiple staging areas for the perfect wedding photo. There is also a Bride and a Groom building. Hopefully there is not a wedding in progress should you want to view it. This part of the Gardens is free to view.

We stopped by the Anthony Chapel during our evening visit to Garvan Gardens Christmas lights. The chapel is awesome, especially lit up with lights at night. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to HS ... during the day next time!
We could definitely tell that it would be an excellent place for a wedding -- for what that's worth. Really, really pretty!

We loved this! So beautiful it was one of the highlights of our trip! My boyfriend and I were very very impressed. We sat on the pews and looked around in awe.

This place was incredibly beautiful. When the sun hit all the glass this place lit up. Go as the sun is shining down on it an before it gets busy to really in all the beauty.

This has to be one of the finest architectural renderings for the setting anywhere. A Frank L. Wright lesson well-placed.

If your at the Garvin Woodland Gardens, it is worth the short walk to check it out. It is beautiful.

The Chapel is located on the Botanical property, but not actually in the Garvan Botanical gardens. You can see the Chapel at no cost. The simplicity is just beautiful. You can go inside and take all the photos you want. It's worth taking the time to see the Chapel even if you don't have time to go thru the garden. If I'm correct it closes at 5 or 6pm.

Absolutely beautiful! It had been raining lightly so the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Got to hear the carillon too.

This one is similar and made by the same person as the Thorncrown chapel in Eureka Springs. It is just so magnificent to see especially since I have already seen the Thorncrown so I could compare the two. This one is just as awesome

This building is awesome with all the glass, metal and stone, it's the most impressive building I have seen in years. There was a wedding here when we first arrived.

Absolutely stunning chapel is part of the Garvan Woodland Gardens which is a botanical garden and part of the University of Arkansas. You can visit the chapel and adjacent bell tower for free. Just double check the website to make sure it is not being used for a private event. Truly breathtaking to see how the sunshine comes through the chapel. The chapel is surrounded by tall trees and gorgeous natural landscaping. Stroll through the pathway to see a lot of ferns, flowers, along with small waterfalls.

This is breathtaking place and is FREE... even though the rest of the garden cost $$$. Def worth a visit

The architecture is inspiring and creates a unity with the surrounding gardens and sky above. The chapel insists on serenity. A stroll down the aisle to the pulpit is necessary for a true experience. Amazing!

Anthony Chapel is an ideal location for a summer wedding. Yes, it has Air Conditioning!!!
Building was packed when our daughter was married there, acoustics were great for music and the wedding pictures turned out great as well.
Would recommend it for a wedding venue, glass on all sides and didn't have to worry if it rained and it was cool inside.

If you want to see how to integrate a building into a woodland setting then this is the place to visit - it is spectacular!
Thank fully there is no overt religious ornamentation here, just a very elegantly designed structure that takes your breath away!

This is simply a breathtakingly beautiful chapel set in the woods! The architecture captures both the natural and spiritual settings. This is a must-see place. It is a short walk from the parking lot, but the path is paved, and those with physical challenges should have little difficulty reaching it.

This is a site to behold. The 60 foot high yellow pine with yellow tinted glass chapel is the most beautiful church we have ever been into. It hosts over 200 weddings per year. If you want to see its granduer you better check its calendar as they do not allow visitors on dates it is booked. This is located at Garvan Woodland Gardens but you do not need to pay an entry fee to visit it.
It blends perfectly with its enviornment. It is visualy appealing even in the wooded setting. Often buildings detract from their environment. This one adds appeal to its enviornment. Inside its windows allow you to feel like you are communing with Nature. The design is genius.
Definitely check the calendar and come visit this Chapel on days that their is not a wedding. We enjoyed seeing it and Garvan Woodland Gardens. A great day!

My husband and I spent the afternoon here. The chapel is truly stunning. The woodwork, glass, and surrounding grounds are beautiful. There is no cost to visit the chapel but it is 15.00/adult to walk through Garvan Gardens.

Beautiful, clean, and lots of nature! We went for a wedding and it was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

picture a 210 acre woodland/botanical garden (largest in America) on beautiful Lake Hamilton which is visit-able any month of the year. Add in a famous chapel and carillon tower and plan to stay for a while. You will not forget your visit here.

Definitely a “must see”! This chapel is beautiful and the architecture is magnificent! It’s right outside the Garvin Gardens and is free to the public.

Excellent side trip during your trip to Hot Springs, AR.
There is plenty of parking that is pretty close to the chapel. There is a very short walk to the chapel but on the walk you will pass a flowing body of water and at the right time of year some blooming fragrant flowers.
The chapel is an amazing work of art. It is gorgeous. With tons of windows, amazing architecture and decor. The sun peeks through the trees and offers a great level of light within the chapel. It is absolutely beautiful. It is as if all the windows let nature in. It is really something to experience.
The grounds are amazing, well kept, and offer great opportunities for pictures.
There was no fee to enter to view the chapel and part of the grounds.

The Anthony Chapel is just outside the Garvan Gardens and is free to visit. It is closed right now due to COVID, but you can still walk the grounds, take in the beauty of the structure from the outside, and view the inside through the many clear glass windows. It is a frequent wedding venue, so you might call in advance to make sure there are no weddings scheduled when you plan to visit. Definitely do not miss this!

It is a beautiful chapel surrounded by beautiful greenery. Due to COVID-19 we were not able to go in but it was still beautiful

I expected something really great but what I found was beyond words. This chapel is so impressive you have to put it at the top of your must do list!

Truly beautiful blend of nature and structure, and I was blown away when I came upon it. I did not know about this church beforehand so I was so taken in by the beauty and setting. The gardens alone are worth visiting and this church itself is something to behold. I also was surprised to find it glass enclosed and air conditioned as I had assumed it was an open air structure too. There was a wedding the day we visited, and I can't imagine how expensive that was but boy was it probably pretty.

The chapel was closed when we were there. The chapel was still just beautiful to see and photograph. The bell tower nearby made geometric camera angles. The gardens around would make an awesome background for photos of any kind: senior, family, engagement, etc.

Do not miss this chapel when you visit the Garvin Gardens area. Awesome is too mild a word. The building rises out of the trees and blends so well, it seems a part of the forest. The design is breathtaking and yet so simple. We felt overwhelmed and at the same time so welcomed by the whole atmosphere. A wedding here would be worth a lifetime of memories

Nice place to visit if you are in hot springs, AR. Its nothing like other chapels you will see in other places.

Went early with young boys & they enjoyed the coolness of the time & getting into the woods a little.
The Chapel is gorgeous, not too far outside downtown & wont take all day so worth a stop

We were there over Christmas break and really enjoyed our time there. When we visited, the park had their Christmas lights display, so we went to the chapel which was decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree and Christmas decorations, and from there we went on the trail to look at all the beautiful five million plus lights. So relaxing!

Chapel is breathtaking beautiful. Tree house is amazing. Christmas lights are just unbelievable beautiful with masterful engineering set up. This is as good as it gets. Don't miss the chance to see this if you can. Dress comfortable and be ready to walk. Every step is woth it.

Nothing like I have ever seen before. This would be the coolest place to have a wedding!! A must see in hot springs!!

Beautiful architectural structure. Very peaceful. The Garvan Gardens on the property looked beautiful, but we did not have time to visit.

Very pretty, spectacular construction, Good for a 10 minute visit. It could be a good place to get married.

Visiting the chapel and walking around Garvan Gardens was a highlight of our trip. Just to see the architecture alone was worth the visit, but that it is set in such beautiful surroundings made the entire afternoon wonderful. Especially beautiful in the fall. We are so glad we went and we recommend it highly.

Beautiful hike and scenery!! Great for a day out to get some fresh air and family time. A must see and my family loved it. Be sure to bring a backpack and some water because the trails are long and it was about 4 hours for us to enjoy everything and take our time through the hike

If you are in the Hot Springs area, you must see this gorgeous chapel. I am so glad we decided to stop. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

The structure itself is amazing but to sit inside and be surrounded by the magesty of the trees truly brings peace to your soul

We arrived at morning opening as we knew there was a wedding scheduled early in the day. There is a beautiful bell tower on the way to the Chapel. Anthony Chapel is set in the woods, accessed by a winding path. We stayed a while to watch the sunlight stream through the glass. It is a beautiful sight to behold.

Loved this beautiful place. First time visiting and so glad we did! Will be back again! Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Amazing structure utilizing the natural elements - glass, pine and flagstone. It is not to be missed. The view inside the chapel to the woods outdoors is beautiful. I would love to hear music in the chapel because i bet the acoustics are fabulous.

The chapel was closed because of a wedding being held. We were able to take some pictures outside. If the church is why you plan to visit, call first before coming.

This visit was done at the same time as our trip to Garvan Woodland Gardens. It is free to visit the chapel which is in the woods and overlooks Lake Hamilton. It is a great example of model architecture.

A unique structure that is simply breathtaking. Just a frame with glass windows encasing this marvel in the woods. I highly recommend that anyone in the Hot Springs area visit Anthony Chapel.

Beautiful setting in the trees - a delight for anyone needing a moment of reflection or to plan a wedding ceremony

Amazing place for a wedding! Completely understand why this chapel is close to all those that brings you in with its natural beauty.

The chapel is incredibly beautiful and the surrounding gardens are lovely as well. We were disappointed that the Chapel was closed for a private event (it appeared to be a wedding rehearsal), but obeyed the sign requesting that no one enter. Not everyone was so polite. Despite signage, we were shocked to see people just walk in on a closed event, one man even took in his (large dog). Don’t be those people. Read the signs!

Great experience and outstanding exhibits, fish, flowers wildlife, atmosphere, food, easy access and reasonable

The chapel was not open to the public for entry. We were still able to approach it for pictures. The chapel and matching bell tower were stunning in the afternoon sun. You can reach the chapel from the parking lot outside the main entry point to the gardens.

ST ANTHONY CHAPEL: One of the most grand chapel i visited here in Hot Springs Arkansas USA. I’am just a solo or alone when i came here, because since its’s fall Season, one of my most favorite season and less people mostly go out because it was cold.

This is a beautiful chapel at the Garvan Woodland Gardens. You do not have to pay to visit this chapel. It is absolutely gorgeous and worth the short walk to see!

This was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place. We weren't able to go inside due to a wedding event. Definitely recommend to see this!

Wow! What a surprise! This chapel is absolutely stunning. It would be an amazing place to have a wedding for sure! Also another short walk is a beautiful tower which are the chapel bells…we didn’t realize what it was until they started going off. Both are an easy walk from the gardens/parking lot and worth a visit!

Anyone that’s rating this anything other than five stars must be daft. This thing is an incredible architectural masterpiece.
The chapel is made up of mostly windows but of course some wood as well. The building is unique in every way - shape, size, lighting, construction...
It’s very quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by Forrest it would be the perfect place to connect with the spirit. Hands down best this is one of the most unique and lovely attractions I have ever seen. If you’re in or around Hot Springs, it’s a must see. We drove from Little Rock just to see this and the gardens and it was worth the extra travel time and every penny spent.

The chapel is peaceful and beautiful. A great place to pause and enjoy the view. Follow it up by a stroll around the gardens.

We thought it would be more of an outdoor (open air) chapel - it's not. It's an enclosed building with lots of glass. We were traveling with dogs (not allowed inside building), so we didn't go inside. It is in a nice setting.

beautiful, peaceful, and great place to consider (count) all you blessings. Also would be a GREAT venue for a wedding.

It is a cool chapel and worth the visit but call ahead because we just happened to catch it between two weddings. If they have a wedding, you can’t visit. Also they holiday hours too so call ahead

Stunning in the middle of the woods. This chapel is like none I’ve entered. The suspension, the glass, the humble alter cross all leave you to reflect in awe!

We recently attended a wedding at the Anthony Chapel. It was just beautiful and so serene. The weather was on target with the sun shining through the glass. Busy day for the park, but the parking arrangements were well taken care of. We appreciated the attention to detail

You will always remember any wedding you go to at this Chapel. It is more glass than wood and the high arched wood framing so finely done it does not hide the woods and lake from inside the chapel

The is a must see when you are in the Hot Springs area. We came as a large family with six children and everyone loved seeing the Chapel. It sits back among trees so splendidly.

What a wonderful chapel! Built by a student of Frank L. Wright ( if your a fan ) . We visited on a Sunday and was able to enter and take photos to an empty chapel. They primarily have weddings and holiday service there. The grounds are calming with stone pathways and bridges over a trickling stream . Be sure to see the Garvan Woodland Gardens, but you can visit the chapel and bell tower without paying to enter the gardens.

We had seen pictures of Anthony Chapel on the internet, but wow, you have to see it to believe it! One of the most picturesque chapels I've ever visited in my life!

I was so surprised to find this lovely chapel nestled among the trees of Garvan Woodland Gardens. Mostly made of glass, you feel as if you are sitting in church in the middle of the woods. This wonderful piece of architecture provides a lovely and peaceful setting. I loved it! Admission to the chapel is free and there is plenty of parking, however, they also do weddings here so if there is an event you cannot go to the chapel. Do not miss this if you are in the Hot Springs area. It is truly worth the trip.

Beautiful building. Well integrated to the natural woods. Lovely gardens nearby
Take a stroll and enjoy the amazing views of Garvan Woodlands Gardens next to the chapel

We went on a trip to Arkansas. They had two wedding back to back, so we were only able to slip in to view the chapel for a few minutes. It was worth waiting to see. It is breathtaking inside, and a nice place to snap a sweet photo or two.

We enjoyed visiting the Anthony Chapel on a recent trip to Hot Springs. The location is magical and the building looks like it's from a fantasy movie. Would love to experience Sunday service there.

Beautiful facility and just absolute tranquility! I could sit there for hours just looking at the amazing scenery.

The architecture of Anthony Chapel is breathtaking! We didn't walk the whole gardens just the chapel. It is a must see!

We visited the Chapel after strolling through the Garvan Woodland Gardens. The whole grounds are beautiful and well worth a visit.

Visited with family and it’s refreshing for all of us to be out and feel the nature after how many months of staying home especially with the kids being on virtual school. The architectural designs of the chapel, children’s playground and etc. is a bonus. We had a good hike, breath the fresh air, and a nice bond with my family. It would be great if the chapel is open to at least to pray intimately since it’s my daughter’s birthday that time and we can also see the features inside the chapel. Overall it’s one of our best experience traveling Midwest.

The chapel is a must see. It was closed to visitors inside , put since you can see thru it, it was still amazing to see.

Such a lovely place. A must see! Peaceful walk and beautiful architecture! When we arrived a singer was practicing for an upcoming wedding. Acoustics great!

Super cool chapel in the middle of the woods. This chapel is truly unique. Glass walls and 50 ft ceiling.Happy we aere able to see it.

A special place to reflect on what He has given us. Attended Sunday service here and as the musician said, some feel closer to God here, and I'd have to agree. An amazing place in so many ways, mesmerizing as my girlfriend stated to her family.
So worth a visit.

Visiting the chapel was OK. There really wasn't much to do other than look around the chapel, which is very beautiful. There just isn't that much else.

Weddings here are picture perfect! Just like the Thorn Crown Chapel in Eureka Springs AR, the structure is breathtaking. You do NOT have to pay admission to the Gardens to visit the Chapel as it is outside the main building. Easy stroll from the parking areas.

Must see when in Hot Springs. What a peaceful and beautiful chapel in the forest. A nice little surprise to find this little gem.

When we went, the chapel was locked due to COVID, however, you could see the beauty of the chapel from the outside and its view of the surrounding woodland scene. Even if it is not open, it is more than worth the short walk from the entrance of Garvan Gardens to see its beauty.

I can only imagine how beautiful it would be for a wedding—any time of year. The quiet of the woods and lake, the bells, everything comes together to complement the artistry of the chapel. This is a must-see.

Anthony Chapel sits back in picturesque woods. The architecture is so beautiful and the bell tour was beautiful. Short hike from the parking area. I would go in the morning often closed to guests in the afternoon for weddings.

absolutely awe inspiring and the gardens are sensational..Peaceful, feels like you are one with nature.

What can you say about something this beautiful in the forest. It was lovely, peaceful and well worth the stop to see it!

So many windows to let the outside in and natural light for great wedding photos. There is also a venue for bridal party to get ready and a separate one for the grooms party

Breathtaking, and wonderful. Came with my church family and we got to sit together and say a prayer and enjoy the glory. Would come back anytime.

Wonderful visit, gardens were stunning as well. Worth the trip out to see this place. Fun for the entire family and a nice gift shop.

It is an incredible building because it simply blends with the forest. We were only able to see it from a distance because a wedding was taking place and we really able to take pictures. Still it was impressive to see.

If you are visiting Garvan Gardens, do not miss going to see Anthony Chapel. If you live in the area and have someone getting married, encourage them to have the ceremony here.

This is one of the things I wanted to see when we visited and the chapel did not disappoint. It is so pretty and the light shinning in made it even better. Would definitely recommend visiting Anthony Chapel

This chapel is a beautiful addition to the community of Hot Springs and the gardens. It was peaceful and surrounded by well tended grounds.

The Anthony Chapel was the most beautiful structure I have ever seen. It would make the most gorgeous wedding venue. The section outside is free, plenty of parking and so much shade

You should visit this Chapel....is a great place for weddings, etc.
The time of year we visited was really HOT & Humid...the Chapel gave us a bit of relief, on the inside- it was air conditioned!

Was at the gardens and me and my friend stuck our heads in here! After respectfully walking up to the front of the chapel and realizing no one else was there we belted out some songs from the steps up front! Great acoustics! Just beautiful being out in the trees. Great spot.

Beautiful building in a beautiful environment. It also has great acoustics. A must see if you go to Garvan Woodland Gardens.

It is a beautiful Chapel! It is made from glass and wood. The area surrounding it was well cared for but natural surroundings. I was there with a small group. One lady in our group shared her beautiful voice and sang a couple of snogs. Her husband is a Cowboy Poet and he performed two of his poems. It was a very moving experience. The chapel is close to gardens.

The chapel is only one of the many beautiful places that Garvan Gardens has to offer. The chapel is glass and wood and you feel like you're sitting in the woods. I've been here for a wedding and musical performances. It is an outstanding building and worth the trip along with all the flowers and trees and other items in the garden.

The Anthony Chapel is a sight to see. It is a different direction from the parking lot than the main gardens. If time is short, go there first. The gardens and treehouse are also great, but this is amazing.
Due to Covid, the Chapel was locked. Walk all the way up and look in the windows. I took this picture from OUTSIDE. The light coming in the Chapel is beautiful through the trees.

Apparently you can only go in to see it while it is dark. So if walking the trails and being in nature is what you want to do you are at the wrong place. They will not allow you to go on unless it is for the Christmas Lights.

WOW, I’m so glad it was raining and we had to kill some time before we went mining for crystals.
We loved this Chapel. What a setting for a glass building and you feel outside in the forest, yet your in an architectural wonderment

We were so disappointed! Not only did we pay for the Garven Woodland Gardens thinking we had to in order to see the chapel only to find out we didn’t need to. Also, we rearranged our day since this didn’t open until noon to make sure we could go in. It seems they could put a calendar online for days that it’s closed. What little we could see from a distance was beautiful.

I have visited the Chapel several times over the years and it is stunning no matter what time of year. Concerts during the Christmas season are especially lovely in this setting.

Walked Garvan Gardens in the beautiful fall weather, ending at the chapel. Waterfalls, lake views, azaleas, beautiful floral area (even for fall!) Stunning!

Beautiful architecture that blends in really well with nature. Recommend going at a time so you can view it during the day and night.

Pictures do not do the beauty of the cathedral. In person it took my breath away. After a walk around the place the Cathedral was where we rested in the ac. Felt great to cool off in such beautiful architecture. Would be nice to catch a church service there. I can imagine singing and hearing the natural reverb of the church A must travel stop if your in hot springs

beautiful setting and building. Gardens available for tour in this same area. Wouldn't travel here to see this only but if in Hot Springs it is a definite relaxing stop.

Beautifully designed chapel in the middle of the forest. Would be an unforgettable place to get married. Lots of glass to let light in, comfortable seating, stone floors. Stunning!

Absolutely breath taking. Unimaginably peaceful and tranquil. My girls sang a hymn while they were inside.

Anthony chapel located next to Garvan Garden at 200 yard distance. During our time of visit we were right on time the chapel allows back visitors due to the private event. The capel was one of its kind, on all woods and glass.

Beautiful place. University of Arkansas does a great job with the whole grounds . .Garvan Woodlands Garden is part of this and well worth exploring.

Or cabin is across the bay, we here the chimes every hour. The Garden is a must see if your in the area

If you are a lover of architecture, nature or just beautiful things, this is a must for you! The chapel is absolutely gorgeous, set in a serene wooded setting and it blends perfectly with the landscape. The architecture is simple yet intricate and it really is a wonder to look at. So glad I stopped here!

A delight to visit. Be aware there are no public restrooms available. The”welcome center” person said the only available restrooms were inside the park for $20 entrance fee.
Enjoyed the drive & scenery around.

Amazing architecture. Truly breathtaking. I am so glad we stopped by to see this chapel. It was something to behold and made you feel like you were outdoors even when inside the chapel.

This was definately a pleasant surprise. A very beautiful chapel in the perfect setting. Would highly recommend seeing.

We stopped by first on Saturday at around 5:30, we were told by a security guard that the chapel was closed for a wedding. A pretty big bummer since this was to be a quick trip and then move on. We ended up spending the night in Hot Springs and going back first thing Sunday morning. It wasn’t very busy because we got there as soon as the park opened. We got some great pictures of the outside and then went inside. We sat at the back and just took it all in, it was very peaceful.
I would suggest not going at all on a Saturday and early any other day. By 11:30 the parking lot was full.

Stopped by the chapel while on the lights tour at the gardens. This place is simply magical. You must go see for yourself!

This structure, surrounded by trees, allows the natural light to settle through the many panels of glass which construct this beautiful little chapel. This is the place to be married.

Beautifully built chapel in the middle of Garvan Gardens. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see. The chapel is quiet and serene and set in a very picturesque location. Definitely worth the visit.

This chapel is awesome in it's beauty and construction. The walls are steel and glass. The angles really set off the artistry that was involved in it's creation. The building was open and open for casual waundering about.

Anthony chapel and Bell Tower is very nice and beautiful scenery and great views. Nice stroll to get and from church, Area has lots of nature and neat bridge and small waterfall area, on good paths, can see church and Bell Tower for no charge which makes it worth it. Good parking and well worth your time to stop

We went in February and really enjoyed this peaceful paradise. Spring was just starting there so, not many crowds. It was not clear where to pay for anything, we got in for free. Definitely worth a stop.

On the grounds of the botanical garden. Hidden in the tall trees you will find this beautiful structure.

Before making visit to the church seen few pictures and get recommendations. But while we reached to the garden and specially to the chapped. It was wow 😮.
I must say that I’ve seen many architectural beauty around the world and this is one of most beautiful architecture in hen it comes to blend with nature and surroundings, either you’re an artist or not. It does not matter. This is one of highly recommended place to experience “ yes experience the surrounding/space/ and Ruth of the space/breath”.
Admission free so no worries.
Free public parking available but make sure when u visit so do check open/close timings.
We spent an hours and it was time freezing moment.
Recommendations:
All terrain sneaker must wear, get glass of water and snacks.
Do check weather before making your plan.
Great place to experience.
Enjoy your trip.

Such a beautiful place to visit! I saw the pictures of this online and I really wanted to check it out. I didn't realize it was at a private paid garden attraction, but the chapel was accessible for free.

Pictures don't do this chapel justice! Our daughter recently got engaged and they're considering a wedding there! The Garvan Woodland Gardens there are gorgeous too! And we got to handfeed a wild peacock strolling the grounds!

The chapel as well as the entire campus is well worth a visit. The Chapel,a Fay Jones project is an evocative design and a lovely expression in the use of wood framing in forming a wonderous naturalistic interior environment!

Stunning Chapel, out of a fairy tale. Surrounded by lush greenery makes this place more magical. Free to enter chapel, but $ for the garden

I had seen pictures of the place but it is still jawdropping when you first enter! It is the kind of place where you imagine Disney princesses get married! Absolutely worth a visit.

Beautiful building in a grand setting. The building is designed to fit into the forest and it does an excellent job. It is one of those chapels that you want to be quiet in because it is obviously a place of worship.

Really something to see! All glass & wood!
Like you are outside when you are inside!
I can see why people would want to get married in it. But it was closed the day we were there not sure if it was becuase of Covid or not.

You don't discover these things without trip advisor! My wife and I, traveling from New Jersey followed our GPS right to the chapel. It's actually part of the Garvan Woodland botanical gardens, but no fee is required to visit the chapel. After a short walk from the adjacent parking lot, you'll come upon the massive structure smack in the middle of the forest. My first though was that this must be where Snow White got married with all her woodland friends in attendance! From pictures one thinks that it's on open church, but it is indeed closed as sunlight and shadows fill the climate controlled chapel. This is a uniquely constructed edifice with comfortable seating offering one time for individual reflection. Don't miss seeing and hearing from the massive bell station located near the path leading to the chapel.

Beautiful venue! Great place to have a wedding. Only downside was being rushed out of certain places. Other than that- totally recommend!!

It was raining and the pavement was glossy wet, intensifying the colors of the flagstone. The Beauty of the area, the view coming around that corner....I’m sure God loves this church. My husband and I made the trip to see this spectacular place, and it was so worth it....I could stay in here forever.....

The chapel is awesome. Just so wonderous. Beautiful. Pictures don't capture the elegant chapel. You would never expect it to be so beautiful.

What a beautiful place! My husband and I enjoyed this so much! We would definitely go back!! Amazing!

The architecture of this chapel was something to experience. Having nature just outside the windows of this peaceful place is indeed a place to experience God!

A perfect compliment to Gods Church- mother nature’s beauty!
An ideal setting to have a wedding for those who want a church wedding but be surrounded by nature,

This part of the garden is free and it is beautiful. We went early and it was not closed for function and we were able to go inside the chapel. Also great AC as it was a hot day. Not sure how often they clean the glass, it is spotless and it feels peaceful they you could see the surrounding green.

This is in the Garvan gardens, but does not cost to get in just for the chapel. Absolutely gorgeous chapel!

If you are in Hot Springs, do visit the chapel. It is part of Garvan Woodland garden. To visit the chapel you don’t need to buy tickets. The architecture is amazing, inside it is quiet and so peaceful to spend some time.

Beautiful setting, beautiful structure. There was a lot of crap stored off to the sides that could have been hidden or screened.

A truly beautiful place. There was a wedding going on when we arrived so we explored the grounds a bit until it ended. So grateful that we did! The chapel was lovely some of my favorite pictures where taken right outside the door.

We're planning to get married here in June. Absolutely breathtaking building surrounded by lush greenery/flowers, other interesting structures, and oodles of waterfalls!

This is a very pretty venue or place to visit. Parking is pretty close to the church so the elderly should not have much trouble walking to it. Unlock the park that is next to it it is free to tour the chapel and bell tower. One-of-a-kind structure for sure.

If you are a Godly person you will love it here when I walked in this open air chapel I felt calm happy and bless to have found this place a good place to take your kids turn off the phones all the phones no jumping no running no screaming just refresh and be still. To the readers of Trip Advisers Reviews I hope you enjoy .I have heard there have been a few proposals there

This is a beautiful place for a ceremony or worship. The acoustics here are wonderful also as my choir performed Christmas music and even a bass voice like mine Carrie's well here.

The beauty and serenity of this chapel are well worth the trip. There were 10 in our group and we all enjoyed seeing this wonderful work of art

My wife had been telling me she wanted to go see Anthony Chapel so we visited Garvan Gardens and saw the chapel. What an amazing structure. Beautiful and peaceful. AND, for those on a budget.... it's actually free. They will close to the public when they have an upcoming wedding. Definitely worth seeing

We were disappointed that the chapel is temporarily closed. Probably because of Covid-19. We saw 2 peacocks on the side of the chapel.

Anthony Chapel is breathtaking - such exquisite architecture, nestled in nature's beauty! A wonderful place to just forget the world and its worries for a little while. I highly recommend visiting Anthony Chapel (and Garvin Gardens!)

A short walk through the woods takes you to this beautiful chapel. The setting is perfect and peaceful. Unless you knew about this place, you would never find it. It was definitely worth seeing.

This is a beautiful chapel. I have never seen a glass chapel and probably never will again. We only visited the chapel but would like to see the rest of the Gardens when the weather is a little cooler. I can see this being a great location for a beautiful wedding. They have nice separate buildings for the bride and grooms.

I couldn’t think of a better place to have a wedding. Stunning views in an all glass and wood Chapel

This is architecturally inspirational. The glass chapel in the woods is something to be felt, it can not be described.

This structure is amazing. I discussed this structure in my Intro to Fine Arts class when I cover architecture. I was so excited when we were in the area that I could come visit and there wasn't a wedding! The grounds are part of the gardens but you can come see the chapel without going to the gardens.
It really does make you feel part of nature with how it's built and how you can see out in every direction.
There is plenty of parking and the chapel is only a short walk from the parking lot. If you want to visit the gardens, there is an entrance to that.
If you enjoy architecture I would encourage you to visit. Just know that if there is a wedding, it is closed off, so your best bet is to come during the morning and during the week.

If you enjoy visiting beautiful and uniquely designed churches, this review will likely resonant with you. We are frequent travelers and are attracted to buildings with appealing architectural characteristics. So, as we planned our trip to Hot Springs National Park and learned about Anthony Chapel, visiting the chapel became a priority. The architects are renown for the “sustainable design” of the chapels they have designed around the country. Anthony Chapel is perhaps their “finest” chapel. The aesthetics are undeniable. It's nestled in the stirring natural beauty of the Garvan Woodland Gardens and the design ingeniously compliments the surrounding environment. When I first saw the chapel, I recall the surreality of doing a “double take” before realizing I was looking at the chapel. Its soaring vaulted wood ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows present the serendipitous illusion it’s all part of the surrounding forest of tall trees. An amazing feat of sensory perception I thought, as my eyes caught the sunlight cascading through the trees and the celestial rays penetrating the windows enveloping the interior of the chapel and bouncing across the wooden pews and vaulted ceiling until finally settling in the trees on the far end of the chapel. I would recommend the chapel as a “must see” for everyone visiting the Hot Springs area. Admission is free but public access inside the church is prohibited due to COVID-19 safety precautions except for weddings and other special events.

Gorgeous place. Stills the sole. Really worth the trip. The Chapel is easy to access and enjoy. The surrounding gardens are great too. Not as elaborate as some larger botanical gardens around the US or Canada, but very nicely done and enjoyable. Very glad we made the visit. Easy to do in 1.5 to 2 hours.

This is a fun side trip. This is in the Garvan Gardens and seeing the Gardens is a must see. There was a wedding when we were there so we didn't get to go inside.

Absolutely amazing must see...... we totally enjoyed our visit and was able to cool off from the walk the water fall and the peace while we walked was worth the whole trip..

If you’re hoping to catch a glimpse inside the chapel on your visit, be sure to check if there are any private events going on. There were weddings all day when we arrived and weren’t allowed inside the chapel. We were able to catch a glimpse from a distance.

The Garvan Gardens were wonderful. Unfortunately the chapel was closed due to COVID. The structure was beautiful from the outside but we could only peer inside the windows thus the 3 star rating.

This very impressive structure is located in Garvan Woodland Gardens on the grounds of the University of Arkansas. A very beautiful, peaceful, restful place to reflect and take as much time as you need to quietly reflect and pray. 1st stop was the carillon tower, spectacular in its own right; the carillons chimed while I stood in the center of the structure. Then a short walk down the beautiful flagstone walkway takes you to the entrance to the Chapel. It looks very unassuming; but as you approach you begin to really appreciate the size and grandeur of the structure. The huge carved wooden doors open to a vast, cavernous chapel that is quite humbling. The flagstones are used thruout for flooring; everything else is glass and wood. Respect for it's presence is expected. And humbling. The Chapel has been used for weddings and so much more. There were just a few other travelers there when I entered; we all recognized the need for quiet and reflection. And, yes, prayer.

we arrived late in the afternoon, not enough time to tour the gardens. but you don't need tickets to visit the Chapel. when we were there, there were only three other people stopped by. it gave us all the time to take good pictures. we returned the next day for the gardens.

The most beautiful place we visited on our trip. We were amazed at the beauty of the place and the location. We sat in wonder inside the chapel and enjoyed the serenity. The music playing in the background heightened the enjoyment.

The Anthony Chapel is amazingly beautiful. The craftsmanship and setting is something to behold. I would go again.

well worth the visit .. just a short walk from the parking lot to see this womderful building ... not hard to find and is free to visit

Probably one of the most beautiful and most peaceful sites in Hot Spring. A must see!!!!! The architecture is amazing! The wooded area, the springs flowing in front and the lake picturesque behind it is beyond words!

Gorgeous.
Breathtaking.
Perfection.
This place is worth the trip to see.
Go in the morning to avoid crashing a possible wedding party.
Enjoy the stone/metal/glass and surrounding nature.

Have seen it many times from the outside but once inside it's amazingly huge and beautiful. Take your time.

Christmas light decorations in the park, Anthony Chapel is located at Garvan Gardens it’s a beautiful walk through with all the Christmas lights to decorate it well worth it.

Aside from the heat, it was a very nice park to take a leisurely walk and see some beautiful gardens. I liked the streams and koi pond.

We viewed the Chapel after going through the gardens. The plants were beautiful to see. They have done a great job in making the gardens.

Indescribable beautiful chapel. The arches and glass walls frame the nearby woods. Stepping inside, we were all reduced to whispers. I can’t think of a more beautiful place to have a wedding or a baptism

If you are a fan of Franklin l Wright, you will definitely love this chapel. Part of the garden tour, make sure you check it out along with the carillon tower. Modern, use of nature.

Such a gorgeous space. We got there right after a wedding and we got to witness an engagement happen outside the chapel (unrelated to the wedding.) It was awesome! You don't need to pay for the gardens to do the chapel.

We joined the gardens and every visit I stop by this magnificent building. Plenty of Weddings are held here as it is so spectacular

This striking chapel is set right in the beautiful woods. It was worth the drive. It is separate from the Garavan Garden with no entrance fee and it's short walk from the parking lot.

We were visiting Garvan Gardens and walked over to the chapel. There was a wedding that day so we couldn’t go in or get too close. I recommend calling ahead to ensure you get to go inside. Very pretty.

We visited during a busy wedding Saturday, but were allowed to go inside and take photos between events. Breath taking.

flowers were not blooming so this stop made our visit to Galvan gardens, just check first to make sure not closed for a wedding

One of the most beautiful structures I have ever seen. Peaceful, woodland setting. Chapel is all glass with a wood frame. Can visit without a fee. There is a fee to tour the gardens. Located just a few miles from Hot Springs National Park. A beautiful place for a wedding.

We just happened upon this beautiful place by chance! My husband and I were in hot springs for our anniversary and someone in town had mentioned the Christmas lights trail. So we decided to check it out. This little church was absolutely breathe-taking at night lit up! And the walk through Christmas lights were equally as beautiful. I would highly recommend for couples and families!

This chapel is gorgeous. It's very tranquil. The area where it is located is very beautiful in general.

Loved this chapel. It was our main reason for visiting the gardens. I recommend checking the wedding schedule when planning your trip. We started out trip through the gardens by going through the exit to see the chapel. Welcome center staff we wonderful.

Nice little hike but so worth it. I recommend anyone taking the time to set and enjoy it. For the architecture, spirituality, or nature.

This Frank Lloyd Wright inspired chapel (done by a student) is a quick drive from Hot Springs. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. The chapel itself is very pretty - it would be a great venue for a wedding - however - those who are physically challenged may have difficulty getting around as the sidewalks curve and change elevations. The grounds themselves are beautiful - talk a walk around to see them. I'd recommend that you go when it is cooler - less than 90 degrees. There is plenty of shade. We went when it was in the mid to upper 80's and it was warm but not overpowering. It would also be a good venue for photos to be taken for a variety of occasions.

We visited the chapel very early in the morning and were the only visitors. It was a magical experience to see the light and shadows in the chapel in this peaceful environment.

Anthony Chapel is gorgeous and blissfully scerin place to visit and worship. It would be a wonderful place to hold a wedding. Be like a fairy tale. The church is located right by Garvan Woofland Gardens. If you have a green thumb you must see this place. Also you can capture beautiful photos. Located over by Lake Catheryn, Hot Springs Akansas.

Beautiful and unique chapel. It is set in a very beautiful wooded area. It was a nice place to visit (free) and beautiful scenery for my children to walk around.

The chapel is absolutely stunning. Wonderful quiet spot for prayer and meditation. Beautiful views of fall colors

I went for a wedding. It was incredibly beautiful. And a bonus...the bridesmaids' and grooms' changing areas were generous and comfortable.

Simply a must see! It is one building that melts into the woods. Fabulous! If you haven’t seen Garvan Woodland Gardens, you really should.

Was there for a wedding. Absolutely beautiful no matter how many times you visit ,you never get tired of seeing the beautiful architecture

This is a must see if you are in Hot Springs!! Absolutely breathtaking ❤️❤️ It won't let me load my pictures but trust me it's worth the trip and if your planning a wedding consider having it here 😍
Very interesting place to visit. Would be a great place for a fall wedding. My wife and I enjoyed hiking on the trails.
