Baylor University is doing well financially if one can make an estimation by the condition of its campus. You won’t miss the fact that it’s Baptist in background as there are “inspirational” Bible quotes etched into buildings and sidewalks. The stadium is enormous and well kept. Buildings are well labeled for a walking tour if you’re up for it. This is one of the only stadiums where you can not only park and tailgate but you can also put your boat in the small man made lake and “boat-gate”?
Baylor also features the Mayborbe Museum for those on tour of the area. Highly recommended.
I would estimate an hour or two meandering around campus at the most with the museum being extra. It is rather close to downtown for lunch after.

In answer to the person who wanted healthier food options at the baseball game, there is a grill at the end of the concourse on the home side. It does have a grilled chicken wrap and fajita tacos. The ballpark itself is beautiful and is located on the River. Note: the concession area closes down at the 7th Inning.
The Softball Park is across from the baseball. It's fun when both are playing to walk across from one to the other to catch some of both games.

We are soaring this afternoon after sharing in the experience of the Baylor University Theater Program’s performance of GODSPELL! It was truly electrifying. We couldn’t identify a “favorite” of the 17 performers because each one was incredibly talented and added a unique dimension to the show. The live band was tight and blended well with the onstage performers and the set and tech aspects of the show, although simple, were superb. Kudos to a job well done BU Theater!!

We spent the week touring Texas college campuses with our son. Baylor truly rolled out the red carpet for their prospective students and it was the best tour in TX!

My husband is a Baylor alum, so we had to come take a look at this beautiful university. If you have time, at least drive through the campus. Funny, my husband kept saying, "Looks better than when I attended!" ( over 20 years ago! )

We have a young friend attending and she loves it. Nice Baptist school, that is expensive, but has nice scholarships.

The buildings, river, and bridge and picturesque. Worth a drive through. I imagine Fall would be beautiful.

This place is so beautiful. College is out so there was not alot of bustling and hustling around. It was pleasant to be able to walk around and see the beautifully manicured grounds. Don't forgot to go see Lucy and Joy the Baylor Bears in their habitat on Campus. They are very well cared for. It was a nice experience.

The Baylor campus is a nice place to walk. There is a creek that runs through campus that is available to see in the middle of campus.

My family visited Baylor last year for a campus tour with my rising senior. We had already toured South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, VT, Tenn and Texas A&M. Baylor was by far the best tour, nicest people, most beautiful campus. They really treat you like family from the time you show up until you leave. He has since been accepted and will be attending this Fall 2024. His academic advisor has been there every time we have a question with an immediate response either via email or text. And he visited the Charlotte area, and we were able to meet him in person. When you think of what a great college experience looks like, it's Baylor. Being private, Christian and conservative were all pluses for my son and his interests. We are delighted and thankful that he chose Baylor and are so excited to see him go, learn, grow, thrive and excel as a Bear this Fall!

Many beautiful buildings that have unique architecture. Obviously a University with character and love for the community.

Took to freshman for a tour of Baylor. Girls loved the college. Lots to see and do. They will decide in a year if it makes the cut.

A beautiful campus on the Brazos river. Opportunities are endless with sports and marina. A very nice size school with about 14,000 undergraduates. I was impressed with the students, friendly and happy and polite. The campus has a Baylor Family all inclusive feel.

We love the Baylor and Texas hospitality!! Campus is beautiful considering it is located in an arrid area of Texas. The facilities are "A+" and we are hoping to hear the professors live up to the same rating. We visited campus several times and loved the layout and amenities that are provided the students.

My neice goes to Baylor so we were excited to check out the campus. I was disappointed to see so much garbage in the streams entering the campus.

This is such a beautiful campus with so many great spots for pictures! The educational opportunities are outstanding. If you ever have the opportunity check out the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative, located just north of McLean Stadium, a STEM focused facility that is AMAZING!

This college is huge! The buildings were red brick and historical, with massive spires on many. The mascot is a bear, so the college houses 2 black bears on campus. Story has it that they come out for every game and the students love it. The stadium is massive. Quite a site.

I can assure you that was wasn’t thrilled about traveling to Waco Texas for my sons 6A Div1 High School Football Playoff Game...But it is Texas Football! The game was at Baylor’s MacLean Stadium. WowWow Wow!
Amazing Facility! Beautiful Campus! It’s a must see!! Loved it!!

Baylor is a great place, and has continued to improve over the years. Class of 2004 here. Great environment overall, nearly perfect campus size, and just really great memories from here.
Like many schools, the price has skyrocketed over the years, with my tuition being reasonable , maybe 7k a year . It's no longer even close to that anymore, so the value isn't quite the same.
Enjoy ! Waco's growing every year

I have visited Baylor on multiple occasions to watch my nephew play baseball and have enjoyed the campus and it's facilities. The campus is beautiful and quiet with lots of green grass and areas to walk. A must see is the Bears. They live in a natural habitat close to the school bookstore--which is another must see.

Great campus, lots of history with very impressive programs. Toured many buildings and same some great Bear spirit.

Beautiful campus. They need to move the bears to a wildlife sanctuary and tear down those horrid tiny cages.

Did a self driving tour around and through the campus one early evening with destination of the Baylor Ballpark to watch some men's baseball. Beautiful campus. Arrived at the ball park and a decent sized crowd. Unfortunately the Baylor team got clobbered by Texas Tech by a score of 11-1, but at least there was plenty of action. Fireworks after the game alongside the river but I didn't stay for the show.

We have been to Baylor many times as our sons graduated from Baylor. This time we took our 11-year old granddaughter and visited the Bear Pit--the bears were out--and went to Common Grounds, the favorite coffee shop of students. We took pictures of her in some of the special Baylor landmarks--Pat Neff Hall, etc.

Baylor University dominates the small city of Waco and is the oldest university in the state dating back to 1845. We most enjoyed the gardens and memorials on Founder's Mall which runs south east from Pat Neff Hall (the signature building on campus). There is an interesting short walk along Waco Creek near S. 5th Street. Here you will also find the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat where the two university mascots - Joy and Lady - live and can be seen through large windows into the closure. The massive Baylor bookstore with an incredible variety of logoed merchandise can be purchased is located on the other side of the creek.

We simply wanted a safe quiet place to walk off a few calories. What a beautiful place. It felt safe even well after dark.

Staff and students friendly and helpful. We always like to combine any trip to Waco with a visit to the real Baylor Bears in their natural habitat. Kids would love getting to see real live bears. The campus has many interesting buildings from an architectural standpoint, and it isn't crowded into the inner city like so many other universities. It's in the city but is so spread out, it doesn't feel like the city. Excellent, up-to-date athletic facilities, and some interesting museums on campus. Nearly on campus is the only Texas Rangers Museum which is worth a visit. Strolling around campus gives one a good workout in lovely environs, and it never seems crowded. Exiting from the athletic events is much quicker than one might imagine. Currently have an outgoing, people centered President who mingles with everyone.

Baylor University is a gorgeous campus. We were in town for the Magnolia Silos, so we drove through the Baylor Campus to see it. It is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit.

There is a reason that Baylor’s historic and beautiful campus has been used in movies to depict “Ivy Lewgue” campuses. The campus (especially the central, historical portions) drip with charm and beauty. The endowed flower gardens make much of campus appear as a botanical park. A visit to the renowned Armstrong-Browning Library will have you feeling like you are in Oxford or Cambridge. Add to that the perennially friendly students, and a visit to the live bear habitat, and a visit will be rewarding and enjoyable.

What a lovely campus and this is from a KU graduate! Well worth the time to walk through. The building are up to Texas standards - the biggest and best quality.

I have seen many college campuses, but this is on of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It is very large and seemingly very well maintained. Waco is definitely a College town. The is Baylor pride everywhere.

Our time was limited and we were focused on visiting the Browning library. however, we enjoyed the drive among the univesity buildings.

We enjoyed touring the campus with my son. The beautiful trees and relaxed atmosphere of the school really made us feel good about where he is. He loves his school! Go BEARS!!!

We came for a college visit with our daughter on June 15th, 2017. It was a informative and educational visit. The campus tour was well done and we loved the trams. The Health Sciences department meeting was very good and Dr. Klausmeyer was an excellent speaker. We hope to have a Baylor Bear in our family next year!

Baylor University has done an outstanding job of beautifying their campus. There are many grassy areas and trees. Everything is well maintained. I had accessibility to every building I wanted to see. Walking between them all was a little tiresome, but enjoyable. We really enjoyed an ice cream shop near the south end of campus.

We stopped at the visitors center and took the walking tour through campus on a beautiful day. The staff was friendly and helpful and we saw many interesting places including the Bear habitat, Library, and Business Innovation building.

Our tour took us through the campus and provided a lot of history: how buildings were erected, the historic fountain; the history of the benches on campus, etc. Wonderful visit.

Enjoy visiting a top-notch University with the added plus of seeing an extraordinarily beautiful campus ! Located along the Brazio River , Baylor has managed to encompass a flowing architectural design throughout the entire campus. The historically significant buildings of old are integrated with a modern touch of present day activity in the overall theme of the campus.the master plan for the student life is well thought out !

We were in town and made this a quick stop to stretch our legs and I was so glad we did. The campus is beautiful and the students were so friendly and helpful as we made our way around. The grounds are impeccable and the buildings are well kept.

Visited friends in Waco, Texas. Of course, we visited Magnolia Market, explored downtown, and enjoyed Baylor athletics events and the Ranger Museum. We had a few hours between lunch and a Baylor basketball game, so we decided to self-tour the campus. Wow! The entire campus looks brand new. It is beautiful. The Science building is state of the art, and the Business building is incredible! We grabbed some snacks at Freshii and ChikFilA (on campus). A student offered to show us the SLC (basically, the gym) where a rock climbing competition was happening. We also saw the Bear habitat- not kidding, two bears live on campus- tennis complex, baseball field, and Marina. We did attend a Mardi Gras fundraiser at McClane Stadium during the trip. Beautiful campus. Those are some lucky students. Being from California, I have to admit, there is something to be said for true Southern Charm. Love the "Yes Ma'am/ No Ma'am"s.

such a beautiful place. Be sure and see the bears den. Also there are little hidden secrets . There's tons of places to eat. You could eat any kind of fun there is. Fuego's is very good and fast to get your food to you. The campus is just beautiful

As an alum, I am biased by the beauty of the campus, but I have not been there for 20 plus years. My return visit to take my daughter to tour was well worth the journey. The visitor's center was the best we've seen out of the 12-15 colleges we have toured. Their hospitality was fantastic - - photo booth, postcards, free tees, popcorn, cookies, waters and hot drinks. We appreciated the tour on carts in the August heat so that we weren't walking the whole campus. The buildings are lovely and the campus has doubled in size in the last 20 years. The tour even took us into the stadium which is truly amazing - - right on the Brazos River. I highly recommend visiting and taking the tour. Even if you aren't shopping for a college, the Bear Habitat is a great stop near the SUB - - Park in a Visitor slot at Patt Neff and walk back by the creek to see the bears playing in their habitat. Two bears are always on campus and have a great place where they play and rest where you can see the mascots.

We are from Arizona and we don’t have universities like this. Baylor is BEAUTIFUL!! We saw the bear habitat but only one of the bears was out. It was nice to walk around in the summer when classes weren’t going on and we could look at the campus.

We were in Waco and just drove around the campus. It is a lovely university. I wish I would have known in advance that they have a good museum on campus.

Baylor is the oldest university in Texas. Its graduates excel in all walks of life, but most importantly Baylor is a Christian institution that started that way and has not lost its distinctive as many other Christian institutions have, like Harvard, Princeton, and TCU to name a few.

We just returned from a trip taking our daughter to join Baylor University as a Freshman. We are thrilled with the University. Even if you're not interested in attending a college, it's a beautiful campus to tour.

We walked around campus one evening to enjoy the fall weather. The campus is full of large oak trees, beautiful fountains and gardens. It is a lovely, safe place for our family.. Come during the day if you want to see Lady and Joy (our Bears).

Loved our sons Senior visit here! Gorgeous campus with great landscaping, a bear habitat, beautiful buildings, monuments, and scripture scattered on the buildings/walkways, etc. Really nice dorms, large bookstore that looks like a Barnes & Noble with tons of Baylor gifts and other items, lots of food options. Staff for the visit was friendly, courteous, helpful, and informative. The Visitor Center is beautiful and welcoming. Even if your child isn't considering Baylor for school the campus itself is worth the visit!

Ran through Baylor in the Silos 1/2 marathon, and toured it on the Waco Tours. The grounds were immaculate, the buildings were stately, the "Garage Mahal" was unbelievably big! Wonderful campus!

Went to Baylor with little preconceived ideas, but boy was I impressed. People were nice, sports facilities were awesome, and campus was gorgeous.

We just did a drive around the entire campus. It is beautiful. How lucky the students are. They are the largest Baptist college in the WORLD! Also the Stadium was INCREDIBLE! Wow!

Loved our visit to Baylor...the lazy Baylor bear that we saw was laying on his back with his feet propped against the wall...so cute...Must be his "off season."

We toured the Baylor portions of the campus. In a single sentence, Baylor is an exceptional University providing a wide range of academic support, athletic facilities and our visit was worthy.

It was a fun place to stop and take a picture...and we are glad that we did...but it was not at the top of our list of places during our visit...but it is a beautiful campus.

Baylor University has a beautiful campus: 1) Architecture: old world red brick with white trim in the Italianate Villa and American Victorian styles. Old Main (1887) and Burleson Hall (1888) each have five spires; Pat Neff Hall (1939) has a gorgeous bell tower; Memorial Residence Hall (1930); Student Union Building (1947); Morrison constitution Hall (1955) all carry the old world theme started in the 1880’s. 2) Outdoors: beautiful old oaks (some with porch swings!); small gardens; water fountains; statutes; sidewalks, brick pathways, etc. 3) The two bears are located near the Student Union building and are always fun to see so take a peek and see what they are up too! 4) Other: Museums, Chapels; Libraries; Concert Halls; Athletic Fields, etc. give one much to explore and enjoy. Of special interest: Browning Library and Mayborn Museum.

Lovely buildings and beautiful grounds. Great sayings on walkways
and buildings. We got to tour one of the dorms which are more like furnished apartments. Lots of personal safety attention like alarms that can be tripped by students all over the campus. A beautiful stadium for many of the sports.

My husband and I attended the WV/Baylor baseball series in March 2017. The facility was very easy to get to and parking was plentiful. My only suggestion to them would be to add some sort of healthy food to their concession stand menu.

just here for testing. Small group great coach. Met some wonderful people. comfortable building A/C alway good. Right off I35.

You must get off the Interstate and drive by this campus. The buildings are incredible!!! So many designs!!! The grassy knolls are just so clean and green!!! The stadium and ball fields are huge!!! Try this site!!!

Beautiful large campus with lots of buildings for each faculty, very large that it looks like a village, ultra clean - everywhere we went, beautiful sports facilities for softball; baseball; tennis, a very attractive campus!
It definitely makes me want to go back to school!
It seems so peaceful!

Just drove by the campus several times and viewed the very pretty buildings and all the dorms available. Campus was very nice.

Baylor's campus is undeniably beautiful. There are dozens of benches to sit and relax on, monumental buildings to wander around, and seven fountains to enjoy up close. Most buildings reflect similar architecture, with red brick being a popular feature--even the parking garages match academic buildings! The bear habitat is also very fun to visit. Students are friendly and willing to give directions to lost families and individuals. Baylor is a definitely a place to visit if you're passing through Waco.

We were in town for the Silos District Marathon and outside of Magnolia, Baylor was a must. It’s so beautiful and clean. We enjoyed getting to watch a Baylor Softball game and enjoyed walking around all the athletic grounds. The Bookstore was stocked with apparel that would appeal to all 5 members of our family. We didn’t pay attention to actual books since our intent was mostly stocking up on BU apparel to take home to our families. Lots of reasonable deals too on the apparel. Everyone on the grounds, in the bookstore, and at the athletic venues was so polite. A truly wonderful place to visit.

Baylor has a beautiful campus! Handsome buildings, colorful landscape, and polite students. The business building is amazing.

We really, really enjoyed driving around the Baylor University campus. It is a BEAUTIFUL campus and much, much larger than we thought. They have a bear habitat right next the the Student Center on campus. We walked through it (no admission fee) and saw the 2 full-grown female bears sleeping in their little man-made cave through a viewing window. They have a nice habitat for them, which we were happy to see. This is a nice little aside while on campus!

I was at Baylor to see my niece graduate! After the ceremony we went to a couple of other spots on the campus for photos. We commented to here how well the grounds were kept and how nice the buildings and how nice the landscaping is. She took about an hour and gave us a quick tour of the campus....very very nice.

One of the most attractive campuses I have ever seen at a university. Very clean and pristine. Great location to downtown.

A beautiful university to visit. Elegant buildings. Great history. Would recommend it to all visitors. Go Baylor Bear!

Originally I had no interest in seeing the university but we initially saw it on the Waco Tour.....they were able to give us the history of the University and we actually went back on our own to walk around, see the Baylor "Bears" and visit the huge Bookstore. I give the area an A+

This campus was beautiful! We had not even heard of Baylor till we visited Waco. We were glad it was part of the Waco Tours. It gave us a better appreciation of the buildings on this campus. Plus we had the bonus of seeing the "Baylor twins" walking on campus .... these girls look exactly alike, dress alike, and walk in step:-) It put a smile on our face!

Located right beside I-35, Baylor University is the main attraction in Waco. The school is beautifully landscaped with traditional brick buildings. It has excellent academic programs with a Christian environment.

Enjoyed our time on campus! My almost college age granddaughters enjoyed too! Love the Baylor Bridge- they light up at night with Baylor colors.

Beautiful, modern campus with musuems to choose from and a beautilful new McLane Stadium to see, tour, or go to a game!

It's a lovely campus, well worth seeing. The museums are great. Visit the bears (really live bears).

I took my son to tour this campus. With the help of the Waze app and signs, I was able to easily find the visitor center and parking lot. Our first appointment was with the department head which turned out to be the smartest decision we made for the day. It was on the other side of the campus and students were genuinely friendly about helping us find it. We were able to meet with a Junior and Senior student who spent over an hour telling us all about college life at Baylor and answering our questions. The college tour was typical (everyone thinks their school is the absolute BEST) and the dorm tour was very helpful. The grounds were being groomed while we were there. We swung by to see the live bear mascots but they were not out. The habitat, though small, looked nice. I would be very happy if my son chose to attend this campus!

This is a very pretty campus for walking around. Common Grounds is nearby for your coffee fix, and there were lots of flowers in bloom when we went!

Check out the university if you have the time. Students were so friendly and made my daughter feel at home. The bear habitat was beautiful. The bears Lady and Joy were a delight to see.

We stopped to see the bears at their new habitat(New to us..it use to be a pit). There was ONE bear out to watch and enjoy. I was told the other was inside asleep. The bear habitat is near the Baylor bookstore. It is FREE and well worth checking the bears out. When we finished with the bear we strolled the campus for about an hour. This is a very large campus with lots of open spaces. Beautiful buildings, Wonderful open spaces. There were no students on campus at the time of our visit was it was very peaceful and quiet. All the buildings were closed, so we just toured the grounds. Wonderful campus.

Family member has attended the university for almost 4 years now and the teachers are the biggest standout. Very kind with a personal touch has been the experience with most of the teaching staff. Visually a beautiful campus and pleasant to walk through. Go for a tour and enjoy the history and campus even if you are not looking to attend college....it will make you want to go back to school.

Very nice campus and look forward to my future at Baylor. Great programs and staff members, very friendly.

Stopped in while looking at area schools for my son. A very warm welcome with his name on the screen and many pleasant people who work for this department. ALL the staff was on their game and knew the campus and history to a tee. Like the layout of the campus and it DID NOT appear to be jam packed with students. Hope my son give this school some serious consideration. It has my vote.

Baylor University which sits right in the heart of Waco has some amazing brick buildings that are incredible to see. A very beautiful campus indeed.

Take the trolley for a tour......and don't visit in the month of July. Hottest ever day of year. Building are stately.

I went to school here, so I may be biased. But I think this is the most beautiful university campus n Texas. The brick architecture is beautiful. The bear habitat is also fun to visit, where Baylor's 2 live black bears live.

Visited the Baylor Club two weekends in a row for happy hour with family and friends. Very nice club. Memberships are offered. I went as a guest of a member. Complimentary shrimp is offered every Friday in the bar. As a member, drinks are 1/2 price and food ordered on the menu is also half price. Guest can also run a credit card and get the half price options. I like a shaken martini and truly enjoy the delicious shrimp! They have different appetizers each day of the week. Super fun atmosphere!

Old, great buildings, nice place to see, Waco is not that big, But is great to see, enjoy a walk, just minute fron downtown in car

My husband and I have three Baylor degrees between us, and if we didn't venture out to the campus now and then, it would be easy to feel like the lush and gorgeous campus is for "others" and not for us, even though we are graduates. Locals and visitors alike need to treat themselves to a stroll on campus and take in the numerous historical markers and beautiful landscape. Having grown up in Waco, moved away, and now returned, I'm happy see that people are finally "getting it"... Yes, Baylor is a private school but it's a point of pride for Waco. Baylor brings in ALL MANNER of positives into the city, but it's not just for the acadamic among you. Stroll the Bear Trail, visit the Bear Pits on campus, check out the Bookstore and just take in the excitement and buzz that is this local Big XII campus. Whether school is IN and happening, or on break and quiet, Baylor is a place for the people of Waco to check out when possible and appreciate for all the beauty it brings to Waco.

This has to be the most pristine campus on earth ! So clean and stately looking ! Baylor has it going on !

Just got back from Baylor Premiere 4/7/18. I highly recommend to parents and college bound student to go. You will get to see Professors in the Major's your son or daughter will be interested in, tour the campus. The very start Registration, Opening Session, Information from the Professor you child may have, eating lunch in one of the four dining halls, seeing the dorms to so much more. We all were in AWE! Baylor is breathtaking and when you hear the passion the Professors have helping the students achieve their goals for the future, the sports facilities and more - you know God is truly blessing this University and those that attend. If you are looking for a solid Christian College that your child will grow spiritually and mentally and be prepared for what the world will give you - Baylor University's staff will provide this and so much more.

We just drove through the campus but very beautiful. The buildings are really lovely. The stadium is huge. School was out when we went there but I could imagine what it feels like with the students bustling about campus.

We drove through the campus. It's very clean, looks very modern, and was quiet because it was summertime.

Campus is clean and all people were nice, but too dark at night for our liking. Not feeling comfortable to walk around at night, but students seemed not to mind so must be safe

We went to see the Baylor Bears. So neat. It was super cold, but they were still out in the open so we could see them. Worth the stop!

We've been on our college tour and Baylor by far has showed us the best tour. The students were so happy and energetic, they were very proud of their school. The hospitality was great. The school grounds was well taken care of.
I wished I would've toured when I was preparing to go to college myself.

We enjoyed walking the campus of Baylor and visiting the Bear Exhibit or Bear Park. The campus is beautiful and architecture amazing. The grounds are beautifully kept as well as the very nice Bear exhibit.

After we visited the Market at the Silos we cruised around the Baylor Campus. What a beautiful campus! The entire campus and athletic facilities are exceptional. Such a clean and beautiful campus.

Went to the Baylor vs. Wichita State game today.
Ferrell Center is a great place to watch hoops.
The crowd is enthusiastic!
Garlic sausages are a swish!
Excellent pre-game briefing!
You will grin
And there is noting to Bear!
Cause Bear Hoops is growling good!

I nice campus to visit and explore. Take an Alum and have them show you the ins and outs. We also liked the bears.

Baylor is an amazing academic environment. In addition, the entire city of Waco supports the students
Beautiful university
Be sure and see the Barret-Browning library. Wow!! The stained glass is amazing, let alone the rest of the architecture and artifacts.
