The 4.5 miles of continuous sidewalk is Bayshore Blvd., you can rent a bike, the weather is just perfect. Their are some of the most beautiful older and palatial homes, then when you look downtown you see a great skyline. If you look at the water you have lots of birds and sea life. Then the Tampa Riverwalk is 2.4 miles of paths and parks. Water Works Park has its children's 'splash pad' and that bubbling natural spring goes into the Hillsborough River.

a great place for a stroll or a jog or bikeride. See the view of the bay whike getting some exercise.

By Brenton Worthy |

We drove down this street and the view is amazing as well as all the house's that line this street. Lots of old classic architecture along with some newer homes.PLEASANT

By hseibold |

We brought bikes and skateboards and bought lunch at the grocery store - set out on a great walk! Beautiful views! benches everywhere to sit and drink... found a playground in Hyde Park walking distance to where we were and it had a bonus spray park!

I'm a fan of Bayshore, it is a nice, long sidewalk. The major downsides are the frequent smell of some sort of sulfur by product. This could be a sewage scent, or possibly some agriculture byproduct. I'm not sure the source of the smell, but it is awful.

There is really no retail or food service along this pathway, so there is not much to do but walk, bike or rollerblade.

A rare dolphin sighting is nice, but this walway pales in comparison to St. Pete's waterfront where there is dining and shopping.

By sixthcents |

I love Tampa Bay and I always look forward to taking a walk along Bayshore. You never know what kind od sea life you will spot. It is not uncommon to have dolphins follow you. There are tons of things to do in Tampa. Make sure you take some time and enjoy a stroll down Bayshore Blvd. and take in a relaxing walk by the water.

By Fabiana79 |

We never figured out where to park and walk along the boulevard, but we drove down it every day to and from the place we stayed at. Even though it was a roundabout way, we enjoyed looking at the lined-up mansions on one side and the water+Tampa skyline on the other.

By Jim B |

Beautiful walk. The sidewalk is 5 miles long and runs along the Bayfront. Beautiful homes in the neighborhood and pleasant walking conditions.
Even got to spot a small Ray in the water!
We did a little over 3 miles and it was very enjoyable.

By FamTimeFL |

It is really fun to go on bike rides on Bayshore. However, I would recommend going early in the morning because it is cooler and less crowded.

By John A |

certainly take the time to walk Bayshore Blvd when in Tampa. It is a very pretty walk with breathtaking view

By Dan P |

I really enjoy driving down Bayshore on a daily basis. It makes me feel good about my commute. I love the views, and if you catch it at the right time of day, the sun is spectacular!

By Yanella P |

Could not take my eyes off the water, saw a school of small manta rays...lots of birds, the water was clear. For a weekend, the bike trail was not crowded. We rode to the pier and had ice cream treats. There's a fast-food restaurant and a water-park for small children.

By fiamma11 |

This area has changed since last I visited, and I think for the better. Beautiful water with lovely vistas. That alone pleases me but there is much more to do.

By tvbednar2016 |

It was a great way to enjoy a beautiful walk. However, parking in the days following the Gasparilla parade is nearly non-existent. Need to park by convention center along the Riverwalk to start your outing.

By Jeff C |

We had a condo in Hyde Park and walked to the convention center each morning. A 20 minute walk along the beautiful Bayshore Blvd. It was a great start to the day!

By 244chuckl |

Not really sure this would be on Things To Do. Skip it.

No appeal to the drive, nothing spectacular about the houses, the water is black and gross and I see no reason why anyone would go out of their way to drive this. Waste of my time.

By Rojo49 |

Bayshore is a beautiful street with a multipurpose path running south and west from Downtown Tampa. It is a favorite walking, running and cycling location for residents and tourists. It runs around the west side of the Bay with views of the bay and the beautiful houses facing the bay. You can reach Ballast Point Park and it's amenities at the southern end. Good for people staying near the University of Tampa and Downtown Tampa Hotels.

By Mariellen C |

We moved to Tampa in May this year from New Hampshire and are so thrilled to be living in this lovely neighborhood. Leaving the five months a year of brown snow behind, the four-mile boulevard is a treasure! Our balcony overlooks Old Tampa Bay and Bayshore Boulevard is better than Central Park, New York! The median is considered a "linear park" and is maintained beautifully! There are walkers, dog-walkers, baby-stoller walkers, lone runners, packs of runners, in-line skaters, scooter riders, bicyclers, tri-cyclers, incumbent bike riders, and pirates galore for the Gasparilla Parades. You'll never find a better place to inspire you to leave your car behind and take a hike!

By Marvene813 |

If you're wanting to keep in shape and watch a beautfiul sunrise or sunset this is the place for you.

By Cambria5 |

Our daughter lives three doors off of Bayshore at the north end. It has a beautiful and well-tended miles long walkway between the boulevard and Hillsborough Bay. A

By stevenfw |

Great views of the bay and downtown at night. Great place to bike ride, rollerblade or jog. Parking is on side streets. Watch out for speed traps too!

By UMBlueMitten |

We enjoyed a more leisurely walk than more exercisers along the route but it was a great view and glad to find free street parking so we could get out and enjoy some warm weather before heading up north.

By travelbymyself2016 |

The best place fro a Bicycle or Run day either with freinds or by yourself. Even take your little puppy pet and go for a walk as you please.

By Delana G |

This is such a great place to walk, run or ride a bike. The views are very pretty but the street is very busy.

By Dan M |

We love going to bayshore to take bike rides.. You have a nice view of Tampa Bay and beautiful houses to enjoy while doing your thing. .

By gini d |

Beautiful drive, great views, beautiful homes and amazing neighbors.Nice drive into downtown Tampa.
Nice shore line sidewalk to walk, stroll or run upon

By Matt P |

The views are amazing. We took a quick walk here while we were in Tampa. Wish we had more time to walk it.
The drive around is just amazing if you are not the driver. Old Mediterranean mansions on one side of the street and a gorgeous bay view on the other

By Harold R |

This beautiful waterfront venue is perfect for the jogger the bike or the fisherman or anyone else just wanting to get a beauty from Tampa Bay .
Running from downtown Tampa all the way to Ballast Point and McDill Air Force Base wide sidewalks and plenty exercise stops make this a must see in Tampa.
The Gasparilla parade uses Bayshore as its route to pirates, floats and fun.
So come on out!

By sandramonty21 |

This is a great place to walk, ride a bike, run or jog around and see the bay. As you walk you see most of south Tampa and downtown.

By Frank C |

We really enjoyed the linear park, it was a great place to walk with many sights to see. It was close to our hotel.

By Jamee S |

Great place to take a long walk or bike ride. Not a lot to seat but you could easily walk to nearby restaurants or just park and get some fresh air. Not a lot of opportunity for shade so be prepared for sunny Florida days

By ggourmet5 |

An excellent and beautiful long stretch of boardwalk for biking, skating, roller blading, etc. The scenery is beautiful in that area.

By Lindsey M |

Whether you are visiting or live in the area Bayshore is worth checking out for the view.
If you are active, bring your running shoes, bike, roller blades, and some water. You have miles of paved path to use. Along the way there are exercise stations to utilize. Or you can just take a stroll or drive it. Nearby you have a bunch of local eateries. I usually park at Ballast Point Park to access it on our bikes.

By tennisk2017 |

Just moved to the area and love jogging down Bayshore after work. Have had issues with cyclist and groups of kids on bicycle almost running over me and other joggers. Still a beautiful place to run.

By bassmama45 |

This is about a 5 mile paved area that is great for Biking, Walking, Running. It is set up with fitness equipment and also rental bikes. The only problem is parking. You can park at Ballast Point Park or there is a paid parking area at the east end of Bayshore. Beautiful, Scenic and Relaxing! Just Enjoyable. I do the Biking!

By auntaudge |

Can be a beautiful place to take out-of-town guests on a ride to see Tampa area. People love seeing the homes along the way

By Mary Katherine |

Bayshore is always very clean considering the number of walkers, runners, bikers, and rollerbladers who are out and active on the walkway every day. The ocean view is beautiful and the atmosphere is fresh and clear.

By Bucsfanz |

My friend just moved into a condo on Bayshore Blvd. The views are amazing and it is a really nice place to walk/run, etc. The area is very clean and safe.

By Karen C |

This is my favorite road to travel into Tampa when I can. Images of horse carriages and women in long dresses with parasols come to mind as I look out over the water lined by a turn of the century concrete railing. A side walk partners with this railing and many people can be seen walking and jogging along it. On the land side you will find magnificent homes of the same era in all their glory. Beautifully manicured lawns and each with unique architecture. Go back in time for a Sunday drive along this scenic route.

By Tim W |

I love going out here for the beautiful views and scenery of downtown Tampa and the Bay. Usually is not too crowded... Unless it's Gasparilla anyway.

By brylin2015 |

Walking down the Boulevard is a great safe place to walk, run or ride a bike. It's great for exercise with a great view of the city.

By Benrod6969 |

This is in the land of the uber wealthy and parking is limited. They will have you towed if you infringe on their Holy Lands. So your warned. But the beauty of Tampa Bay sure does shine there. Great place to see the beautiful people. The love to show off here.

By Gracey2383 |

If you are in Tampa Bay just drive down Bayshore. The view of the city is beautiful and you can walk, run, bike ect. I drive this to work everyday and this makes my day amazing. Sunrise or Sunset! Don't forget it's free!

By jnzl777 |

It's a nice strip to exercise on. If you like to run/rollerskate/etc., this strip is perfect to do so. You have a view of mansions and the bay while you exercise. Great. It is a lot more fun to visit during Gasparilla weekend, especially if you get invited to one of the mansions holding a party.

By Mackenzie C |

I ran 4-5 miles a day on Bayshore while visiting Tampa, and I saw a dolphin one day! It was very cool. Keep your eyes out on the bay while you're exploring!

By etteb35 |

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 plus mile walk along Bayshore Blvd. The homes on the other side of the street are beautiful and the walkway along the water is quite long. There were many people walking, jogging and biking while we were there. We saw many fish jumping out of the water as well as a couple of dolphins playing.

By Andrew S |

Going to Tampa was a very pleasant surprise. When you plan to go to Tampa you don't a beautiful city. The coast line goes on for many miles. When driving in Tampa you can't help but want to drive towards the coast to see a vast beautiful ocean and shoreline.

By Jo D |

Longest continuous sidewalk in world! It is a fabulous place to walk, run, bike, rollers kate and believe me you won't be ALONE! Great place to walk and see some historic tampa houses prices in the millions! Really is a pretty cool site to see

By Elizabeth H |

Longest sidewalk in America!!! The best place in Tampa to walk, run, bike, skate, have a date, watch fire works and dolphins jumps and dance and of course where the pirates come in!

By RickMIusa |

A great place for a walk or a run.....lots of big money houses, nice architecture, and it is always hot hot hot.....

By bud942018 |

Let me tell you the best place to be this year on January 26 is Bayshore Blvd. It is the most beautiful area in Tampa to watch the Gasparilla parde. So many areas around Tampa to park.

By Timezone Travelers |

We love to stroll and people watch along the boulevard. The breeze (if you're lucky) is refreshing too.

By NCNEWLIFE |

We ran on bay shore in all our races (4) over the weekend. Beautiful homes and beautiful views. We also drove down too great views and beautiful homes and townhouses.

By Debbie M |

Beautiful view of waterfront and homes. We only walked about a mile but Bayshore Blvd is very popular with bicyclist, runners and skaters so,you need to be aware of sharing sidewalk.

By Rania_MHA |

this boulevard is great for a walk, run or balding up and down.... now parking is a challenge but once you are there it is worth it! Also, if you enjoy looking at luxury homes, this is the perfect location :-)

By NeilNunz |

Bayshore Boulevard and the adjacent neighborhood are a feast for the eyes. So many beautiful, large and quaint homes that will inspire you to go out and make more money so you can buy one. It looks like something out of a Hollywood movie or a postcard of Americana culture. I could drive around it for hours.

By Angela R |

Bayshore is a beautiful trail that is right next to the bay and some amazing south Tampa homes. People are always outside on the trail doing some kind of physical activity. If driving, go the speed limit! People tend to speed on the road. I would start off at ballast park, then head over to Hyde Park Shopping area for a lite lunch, and then walk over to bayshore to walk off the meal.

By rmarti17 |

A very long walkway by the water with great views of downtown Tampa and Tampa Bay. Lots of fit people running/biking by you as you leisurely enjoy the walk. Take a walk under the oak canopy to the adjacent neighborhoods to see some of the old Tampa residences. You will feel like you are up North and not in Florida.

By LisaBrock |

If you love the beauty of the outdoors, the water, and the beauty of older and palatial homes - this is a gorgeous walk, run and scenic route drive. And very near the end - there is a WONDERFUL park called Ballast Point. Good for people watching, taking advantage of our gorgeous outdoors and giving kids a place to ENJOY - at the park I mean. Bayshore is too busy to let kids roam!

By Lukic_Alexander |

I love how the Tampa community encourages the public to be active and the Bayshore Fitness Trail is a perfect example.

The beautiful path hugs the shoreway. You can spot Derek Jeter's mansion on Davis Island and the other homes are a sight to see. The Fitness Trail has different landmarks to stop at with pull-up bars and sit-ups. There is also hubs for the Coast Bike Share that I rented. I pedaled all the way to the Tampa River Walk which is also a must do while your in Tampa. I think the bike rental ended up being about $15 bucks for 2 hours and it is very easy to use. If your visiting and want to do something active while you are here, this is a can't miss.

By Cory W |

A lot of people run or walk here. Down side is there's no shade anywhere. If you go when there's not much traffic is very nice. But during peak traffic it sucks. Way too loud. Also don't go when is low tide, smells horrible!

By MikeH_Tampa |

With an amazing view, you can sweat, exercise and even check out the city backdrop at sunset! Always busy with locals and tourists !

By John L |

I regularly longboard down bayshore. It's always relaxing, I often find myself pulling out the headphones just to enjoy the sounds of the water.

By Reesa D |

We decided to take a walk on this beautiful walking area after lunch. It is at downtown and near the Bayshore Mall.

By jshoafy |

Lovely scenic drive for viewing skyline of Tampa reflecting on the bay and gorgeous old homes on the other side of the street

By rtgepd1 |

We went to a friend of ours home on Bayshore and after eating lunch decided on a walk. We headed down toward the hospital and after 20 minutes headed back to the house. The traffic was more under supervision it seemed and slower than our last visit but I’d have to assume it was due to the tragic accident in the area recently. But nonetheless a beautiful walk, exquisite views of the Bay and a quiet surrounding area which made for a perfect day!

By G2655BWgaryk |

Bayshore Boulevard is a very nice street to see Tampa Bay. The speed limit is 35 so keep your speed down as the Tampa Police patrol this area. You can walk, roller blade, run or bike along this roadway.

By Gary M |

Amazing for walking, jogging, biking or skating. The sidewalk runs about 10 miles without a curb and you get the benefit of beautiful water views on the bay side and some of Tampa's most beautiful homes on the land side.

By Petit P |

Bayshore is the best place to take a walk, stroll, skaye, run your bike and just enjoy the landscape and enjoy the Old South Tampa House' architecture and gardens.

By Lisa G |

Long expansive stretch of walkway along the bay with a great view of the ocean on one side and mansions on the other.

By Kevin W |

I have lived in and around the Tampa/St Pete area for most of my life. I remember my parents driving along Bayshore Blvd as a young child. And I still make it a point to visit it by car occasionally, especially in the evening or when the sun is setting!

By wimi7985 |

If you want a beautiful view of the Bay, an uninterrupted sidewalk to run/walk on, and great landscaping with large upscale houses as your backdrop, definitely check out Bayshore. The scenery and no traffic on the pedestrian path makes your workout, much more pleasant!

By shawsdolphin |

The best way to really enjoy Bayshore Blvd. is to either walk, jog, bike, or skate all or part of the three and a half mile contiuous sidewalk.
Beautiful homes, unbelievable sunrise, luscious landscaping are all you have to look forward to.
The biggest negatives are the stifling heat, and occasional rotten egg smell the water emits.

By HelloKittyTravelPro |

Whether you walk, run or cycle this lovely sidewalk, this is a splendid way to see this exclusive part of Tampa. You will pass some large old houses, contemporary apartment buildings and my old high school! There are few places to stop for water, so carry some with you. It gets very hot!
Despite claims that Bayshore Boulevard is the world’s longest continuous sidewalk, sadly it is not. The Malecón in Havana is slightly longer, but the longest is actually the Rambla in Montevideo, Uruguay.

By Marcia D |

This walk is in the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest waterfront walkway. Whether you walk all the way south to the pier or all the way north to downtown, every inch is enjoyable. You're greeted by friendly people who are enjoying exercise and scenery.

By Stwarrior23 |

It is a really nice place to just walk around, there is a parking lot on the far end by the hospital and publix, and after 6 you dont have to pay for parking. But nice place to just walk or ride a bike

By Laila H |

Bay shore boulevard is just beautiful with expansive view of the water and the marine life. A great place for a run or a walk with a superb view.

By Americanflygirl |

I was lucky enough to run Miles for Moffitt Cancer Center on Bayshore Blvd! Amazing Views! Great area to walk, run or bike along Tampa Bay! Beautiful homes and great sidewalk along the water!

By EaglesFan27 |

I love long runs and this is a perfect trail for that. The views are incredible! I did an out and back route for a roundtrip total of 8 miles. The city view of downtown on the way back is incredible. It is so neat being along the bay for the entire run. My only complaint is that the surface is concrete. It does keep it cooler than asphalt, but I was pretty sore the next day as concrete is unforgiving on the body. If you are not a runner, it makes for a good walk, bike ride, or even a drive.

By Robuck11 |

Everytime I walk on Bayshore blvd I feel like I am on vacation. The scenery is amazing and it is such an awesome place to be. I love the tranquility and the view. On a beautiful clear day there is no better place to be

By DocWriter |

Great place to run or just walk; water fountains periodically. great scenery. 7 continuous miles of sidewalk. Worth a visit

By Tacos are good |

Great place to walk or jog. Very few cities have such a beautiful waterway right in the heart of a city. This is a very nice place to relax, walk or jog. PS If you look closely in the late afternoon you can see some large fish in the water. I have seen Snook, Red fish, Snapper, more. Tampa is a world class fishing spot and pretty much wherever there is salt water in Tampa there are fish.

By OlgaM714 |

Driving, walking, biking, still such a pleasant and romantic ride. . While driving you have Tampa Bay one side and a spectacular scene , beautiful homes to dream for on the other.

By Monabhi29 |

Nice long walk . The view of downtown Tampa, beautiful homes , Davis island and water . The long walk can take you to the ballast point park which is another beautiful landmark. The Gasparilla parade takes this beautiful route of bayshore boulevard which is also fun for family.

By Janette C |

Whether exercising, strolling or biking you will certainly enjoy the views around Bayshore Boulevard. You can see the home where Brady is staying, Maddens house and all of the beautiful homes along the waterfront. We loved it!

By happy_in_paris_10 |

This drive is best compared to driving along the bay in Nice, France. Elegant old Mediterranean mansions on one side of the street and a gorgeous bay view on the other. Every trip to Tampa should include at least a short drive on this winding bayfront. When you get to the condominium row, you can turn around, unless you're in the market for a bay-facing home on the water!

By j z |

If you're looking for a scenic place to run/walk, this is it. You will see fish jumping, dolphins on occasion, sting ray tips flapping. On Thursdays, a boating club makes a beautiful photo op across the bay. The City of Tampa has done a GREAT job with this!

By ljsolara |

Friends that we visit in Tampa have a condo at the end of the walk and it's such a nice place to visit. We can't wait to come back.

By Jeroen G |

Not a very scenic boulevard to stroll on, but we found some nice restaurants to eat. And a good bar to get some drinks.

By Marla Healy |

My family lives near Bayshore and they love to run and bike along the water because of the amazing views. A very peaceful place to relax! Their is a Starbucks on Howard Ave that I always frequent with a friend when I visit . It is about a half mile off Bayshore Blvd.Bayshore is a must see if you go to Tampa!

By Karen T |

While visiting family in the area, we drove along Bayshore Boulevard to view the old elegant homes that were most likely built during Florida's boom days in the 40's and 50's.
Each home was situated on a spacious lot facing Tampa Bay. No two homes were alike which made it interesting to see the various styles of homes.

By Robert B |

I walk out there all the time for the past 36 years. Doesn't matter what time of the year, it's great exercise and great for people watching.

By 72darylg |

A unique experience right on Tampa Bay, visit the Marriott, the Hotel is spectacular, the bar is way cool and the service is excellent. Take a walk down the Boulevard, there are a million things to see and do.

By Kim J |

This is a glorious place. The water on one side and grass (mostly) on the other. The speed limit is 40mph and, on the whole, it is obeyed. No trucks are allowed so it is tolerable for an urban linear park. There is no shade to speak of so plan accordingly. If you are lucky, you may see dolphins and/or manatees. The latter are more likely on the river walk through downtown that connects to Bayshore Blvd and currently ends up at Ulele and the springs there that will host manatees in the winter.

By Argentino |

It's a nice walk but too long to go by foot, my suggestion is take the car and drive all way its a nice view.

By Michael N |

One of the longest continuous sidewalks in the country. A great place for a morning run or walk. Great sights along the way to include the Tampa Bay skyline and the beautiful homes of Bayshore Blvd.

By justincarlin |

Whenever my wife and I have visitors from out of town, we make it a point to take the scenic route down Bayshore Blvd to show them the best veiws of Tampa Bay. Gorgeous homes on one side, and the beautiful bay on the other. There is some construction going on at the moment with new condos being built but that won't detract from the bay views.

By Anne M |

My husband and I were visiting friends in the area and they drove us along part of this stretch of scenery that runs about 4.5 miles. I'll be thinking about this beautiful drive, once we get home to wintry weather, and wishing I was back here.

By Phil J |

This was my first time to Tampa and for the big Gasparilla party. My buddy said come on into town, there is a fun parade. Well this is the best party I have ever been to. Pirate ship floats line the street with all their Krews have a big time in full costume.I walked up and down for hrs until the parade started. Just a really fun weekend, I will be back ARRR!!!

By shweedy89 |

Just beautiful, love walking and riding bikes there. You can see the skyline at night which is beautiful.

By John C |

The city of Tampa has done a very nice job of creating this walk way along the bay. One can walk; jog;run and roller blade along this pathway. There was a nice breeze blowing the day we walked this route.

By Jeannine M |

Tampa claims to have the longest unbroken sidewalk in the world at 4.5 miles (7.2 km) long, It is used for recreation and exercise and has a 3-mile bike lane, a linear park. Bayshore Boulevard provides scenic waterfront views of downtown Tampa. Enjoy walking past many large and historic homes across the street from the trail. Bayshore is home to the yearly Gasparilla parade since 1904 as well as other recreational activities. Pirate ship for the parade is parked there all year until it invades Tampa Bay each year late January/early February.

By gourmet Heidi |

Nice view of bay, beautiful restored homes, great gardens, nice drive, drive all the way to the end and the most unusual-- past the condos there is a waterfront park and across a horse ranch. Drive the inside streets for a view of restored homes.Beautiful landscaping, trees and flowers. Free entertainment for the whole family, a must, and quick 30-45 minute tour

By Candy D |

I love walking Bayshore Boulevard. We always take visitors to this area to walk and see Tampa Bay upfront and personal. Just be careful crossing the street as the speed limit is lowered to 35 recently but many still treat it as a suggestion and not the actual MPH they drive!!

By Rschagrin |

What a view of Tampa bay with the most magnificent homes located here. Also a great view of downtown Tampa.

By Darryl C |

We didn't even plan on driving along Bayshore Boulevard until I saw a post on Tripadvisor about it having the word's longest continuous sidewalk. Forget about that record, we were more intrigue with how great the city of Tampa utilizes it's surrounding water. My only complaint would be the issue of parking, which we mistakenly discovered where to do so when it was too late. Even without getting out of our vehicle, it's worth it just to drive along the shore and enjoy the beautiful houses and scenery.

By Louis F |

The views are pretty beautiful of both the houses and the bay. I parked at Ballast Point park and made the short walk to the sidewalk. There was plenty of parking there. There is also some parking at the other end.

By Rosa986 |

Love this area, take every opportunity to walk the entire length. The walk in early am is almost always in the company of playful dolphins.

By thebeachmarkets |

Love this walk! Nice, clean, wide walkways. Beautiful views of homes and the water. Try to make time for this every time I'm in Tampa.

By rossd0306 |

Views are amazing. My wife and I went on a walk while we were in Tampa. Beautiful view of the downtown and Davis island.

By Shannon M |

The view is amazing! Well lit perfect for riding your bike or running. They even have workout stations.

By Larry_O34678 |

Great place to bike, run or walk. You can never have a bad day on Bayshore Boulevard. It's the nicest thing by far that is free in Tampa Bay.

By Brian P |

It seems that each home is distinct and there is a competition to see which property has been maintained the best. As you gaze remember it is a residential Boulevard with local traffic. When I am in the area I look forward to this drive. Make sure you get off the main drag and get lost in the side streets.

By Greg2117 |

This is easily the most scenic and beautiful walking path ever poured(concrete sidewalk). The stroll along the bay on one side is beautiful and to your other side are immaculate homes and restaurants. There are also the occasional workout spots along the bay. Lastly this is a great place to bike and jog as well and see beautiful people getting their fitness on.

By Simone S |

Place full of beautiful houses and a cosy sidewalk to walk overlooking the bay of Tampa.
Quiet residential neighborhood.

By Andrew F |

Working at Precious Smiles Family Dentistry, I love recommending Bayshore Blvd to our patients—it’s one of Tampa’s most refreshing waterfront experiences. Just a quick 19-minute drive from our office, the boulevard offers peaceful views, breezy walks, and an energizing atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day and enjoy the beauty our city has to offer.

By world248 |

My wife and I walk to Bayshore Blvd. and along the water every weekend and always enjoy it. It is very relaxing and the views are wonderful. Also, the homes along the blvd. are beautiful as well as the homes along the side streets. You can park at Ballast Point Park and walk up to Bayshore Blvd.

By Dancer46 |

This is my home town and I can't lie, I have a lot of memories from this drive. It is lined with beautiful old homes from Tampa's history, it's where we hold the gasparilla parade, it's used every day for exercise, and it's an iconic part of Tampa! If nothing else, take a drive from end to end, it's beautiful. Oh, and at the other end if you continue on and stay left when you get to the next two lights it will take you to Ballast Point Park and Pier, another great walk and view of the water and downtown skyline. Enjoy!!!

By marvinscable |

It is a nice way to enjoy a sunny day while getting exercise. Great views of the cruse ships going in and out of Tampa bay on the days there are cruses.

By Frank S |

My wife and I strolled the walk for two or three hours. With our dog. It was a very relaxing time. The dog play area in the water park was extra special as we met several folks with their dogs.

By Claudia C |

One of, if not THE longest walking/biking path in the U.S. Right next to the water on one of Tampa's most visited areas....next to the water on one side, mansions lining the street on the other side.

By michaelc_tpa |

This iconic spot in Tampa is well known to the locals. For visitors, take the time to walk, or run if you're looking for a good route, and experience the stroll along Hillsborough Bay and views of downtown Tampa. An unbroken sidewalk of 6 miles +/-, this is perfect for a great time outdoors in the middle of Tampa. The people watching is pretty fun as well! Worth the time to make your way to Bayshore and take a walk.

By Felix V |

Nice well done job here. Very Clean , nice weather and views. you can get a very nice walk there and very clean air. Love the place

By Edward C |

When we arrived the weather by now was very hot and sunny we could not find a parking place this was due to a lot of road works what we did see was worth the drive

By robyn3399 |

great place to exercise in many different fashions. Bikes available to rent (set up with City to rent prior to getting there), exercise stops, and close to U of Tampa, Convention Center, Publix, and Harbour Island Hotels and southern downtown.

By lesa12342016 |

Overrated place for walking, running or riding a bicycle. Too noisy with cars going by and breathing exhaust fumes. No shade. Better places for these activities.

Great scenery to drive by. The views are astonishing!!!
Only thing I would add to make it really great, some parking places along the way to be able to stop and take some pictures. They only have some very limited space at the northern side. Other than that, great for a drive by!!

By David R |

No matter when I am on Bayshore there is always someone, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. Usually lots of walkers, runners, bikers, people walking their dogs. View can't be beat.

By 7JR12 |

Bayshore Boulevard is a gorgeous area of Tampa worth a visit. There's no place to park along the Blvd if you want to walk except at the north end in a garage in Ibor City. Quite a contrast for Tampa which is, in general, an old Gulf port city and is, except for the Bayshore area, not an attractive city.

By Kev S |

Great to do on a day when the temperature in Tampa is not stuck on hell. Walk, bike, jog, from Davis Island see the beautiful coastline and skyline of Tampa, as well as the bay on one side, and enjoy the beauty and majesty of the beautiful historic mansions across the street. No place to by drinks or food, so I recommend hydrating before walking miles, sunblock, and checking the weather, Tampa is known for pop up rainstorms in the summer. 😁

By Larry K |

A great place to run, walk or bike- right beside beautiful Tampa Bay! Paved asphalt and wide enough for walkers/runners and bikers. Lots of parking on side streets so you can just find a spot and jump in anywhere. Get your workout in early in the morning as there is absolutely no shade on the path ! Also no bathroom facilities available..

By alvaroacc |

Went back , great area for joggers, runners, walk or just go with your family. Close to downtown & Hyde park area

By 522liliand |

The views are amazing, very peaceful, but practical, you can walk, jog or bike while there. or even just go to relax while sitting in front on the magnificent water views

By whittylady2017 |

Enjoy the view of the water and downtown as I run down Bayshore Blvd, sidewalk plenty wide to accommodate, runners, strollers.

By Horse101_129 |

Neat and scenic ride along the Tampa Bay waterway. Great area for biking, walking, sight seeing. Close to downtown area..

By blrtampa |

1st there is no great parking for this area, ballast point park has some parking but it is about 1/2 mile walk before you actually get onto bayshore where the sidewalk is on the water. u can find parking on some of the side streets , you just have to be careful ,some streets only allow parking on one side, but only a short distance to bayshore . there is an empty lo near bay to bay that people park in but not sure if posted for " no" parking .the sidewalk is wide enough for 4 or 5 people across and everyone is on the most part polite .i say that because , there are roller blades, bicycles, runners ,walkers ,and people walking their dogs. the only bad thing is sometimes at low tide . some areas will have a nasty smell , but only for a short distance.. i have seen in the water, stingrays, dolphin, manatee and if no wildlife is around, just looking at the water is great, and if you get tired of that the beautiful houses on the other side , this will make your walk go by very fast.

By Stephen R |

Nice place to walk, jog , bicycle. Close to downtown and Hyde Park. The River, the houses, all provide a nice place to take a deep breath and just relax..

By photoguy_10 |

4.5 miles of great views of Tampa and the bay. A place to see and be seen! Great for walking, biking, running, blading, stroling. Can be crowded at peak times during great weather.

By HD |

A very mice place, beautiful views, well maintained and just a nice place to walk, run or just relax.

By TallahasseeMark |

They say that this is the longest continuous sidewalk in the US. Doesn't matter because the view is spectacular! We walked 9 miles, round trip, and had the beautiful Bay next to us the whole way!

By shirasagi |

Not to mention the stunning mansions along the quay. Beautiful to look at, beautiful to hang out, strolling or jogging, and during more pleasant weather, to just sit and enjoy the view. Not enough benches, and no outdoor cafes!! Someone should take a cue and build an outdoor cafe.

By ams44 |

Very beautiful walk along bay. Always pleasant and always a lot of people walking, biking, running, etc. Always make sure I get out there to soak up the sun, the view and the positive vibes.

By Margarita L |

When in need to go for a good walk this is the place to go, Love the environment and the views are really inspiring. South Tampa has this good vibe for sport and you can feel it in this place.

By John B |

With 4.5 miles of unbroken waterfront sidewalk, Bayshore is the best place in Tampa to be active for walkers, cyclists, runners and inline skaters.

The view of the bay is always nice but look over the balustrade and on a good day you’ll see dolphins swimming right beside you! Evening thunderstorms out on the bay also make perfect Bayshore vistas.

TIP: The northern part of Bayshore can get a bit busy some weekday evenings between 6pm and 8pm as local running clubs turn out to use it.

we just drove along the boulevard..nice view and beautiful houses. people were jogging on side walks.. very good place for a morning walk or evening walk.

By skinsfan0084 |

My wife and I recently returned from Tampa, we were there to look for a condo to buy on bay shore. We spent over half of our trip sitting on the bench overlooking the view of the gulf. WE LOVE this area. If you ever travel to Tampa, please go to bay shore Blvd.

By Brendon P |

Take a walk, ride a bike, go on a stroll with a loved one, roller blade, just enjoy! Its fantastic for relaxation!

By Roger P |

This is definitely a cool place to go for a run, walk or just hangout and reflect. Much to see with the Tampa skyline, TGH, Davis Island, etc... in the distance from Gandy Blvd. You can love it and appreciate it during clear day but when a storm comes through, its a whole other story. Water spouts, flooding, the damnation of the Bayshore!! LOL But it quickly recedes and back to enjoyment. Its a great place!

By C V |

I live right off Bayshore Blvd, and the walk/jog inspires me to feel good and the surrounding homes and water views are just beautiful.

By Tisha399 |

Early morning and evenings are the best time for this. It is a beautiful walk. You can take babies in strollers, rollerblade, bike, etc. The bay is on one side and beautiful homes on the other. After your walk treat yourself to shopping and eating in nearby Hyde Park! We love bar taco.

By TERRAvelista |

This Boulevard runs near the water and is simply gorgeous to look at: you have runners not far from the road, calm waters as if ending into the sky if looking from the right angle at the right time of the day and if fortunate, almost an empty road as we witnessed during the week when we went to the nearby Clearwater beach.

The situation is different though at the weekend, even in a hot April. I would not mind having roads like this in the UK during the week.

By Bob W |

This is a great spot to jog, or walk to get those Fitbit steps logged! And as a bonus, the locals who like to stay fit and get sun are roller blading and jogging. Beautiful people of both sexes, shirtless or in bikinis. Hey! Nothing wrong with a little eye candy while working out!

By LisaD5 |

Beautiful vistas of downtown Tampa and historic mansions. An excellent place to excercise AND socialize!

By Rentner |

Bayshore is excellent for walking or biking. Sea on one side, other side nice villas and the skyline of Tampa. Is a must.
Only the parking is very limited, we parked 1/2 mile away in a little shopping center.

By jabesm2017 |

As a local, I am a big fan, because there is nothing to complain about with this boulevard that is a bona fide attraction. It has 4.5 miles of 10 feet wide continuous side walk...by the bay!!! So, you get to see the marine life right next to you on the water, the downtown and gorgeous homes that are so fortunate to have this majestic view.

You can walk, run, bike or whatever you want to do and yes is free...so go do it...now!

By YearlyVacationer1 |

There was some visible damage to roof tops and shrubs after the Hurricane but a very beautiful road to drive by and gawk at the mansions. There is also a nice walking/running path across from the houses, but would not advise walking it until after the temperature cools. There is no reprieve from the hot sun on the walk.

By BrittStan |

This is a great place for a morning run or a romantic stroll. There's a great view on both sides of you. It's generally a safe area and a popular exercise spot during the day.

By Ray4343 |

This scenic road is the place you want to be in Tampa. Driving, pedeling, walking or rolling along, this is the place to see and be seen. Nearby views, restaurants and hotels.

By TravelSmart3237 |

Nice walk. Beautiful school, Academy of the Holy names. Old Tampa charm. Make sure to bring your camera.

By Melissa H |

We took a walk at night and the views were stunning! You can see all the city lights glimmering over the water it is so beautiful! This is a must if your in the area I want to go back and visit it during the day!

By Chris123app |

I think at one time this was considered the longest unbroken sidewalk in the world, not sure if that is still the case. Great for biking, running, walking, etc... It has fitness stops along the way. When I was in school we used to have to run the Bayshore for P.E. I used to hate it back then, but it is a nice piece of history and has lovely historical homes along the route.

By Elizabeth H |

In South Tampa, it's boast the longest continuous sidewalk in the world at 4.5 miles, and it's 10 feet wide, running along Hillsborough Bay. Great for families, singles, and many people meet friend old and new along Bayshore. Several times throughout the year, big events are held on Bayshore Blvd. You can get up to it by boat, but there aren't any docks for boarding boats. It's a nice place to drive or walk and take in the scenery (several stately homes on Bayshore). There are pretty trees in the media, as well as public art.

By Chelsie |

I only spent about an hour or two on the Boulevard, but it was gorgeous! I'm from Michigan, and went to Tampa in January, so I just wanted to be outside to enjoy the sunshine. This was perfect, lots of people (but not too many), nicely paved path. I was there a few days before Gasperilla, so there was a lot of stuff getting set up & ready.

By lj3efird |

Access by driving and viewing is much safer and easier than trying to park and to visit. Don't park on the drive itself, but use the side streets that dead end into it. Best panoramic view is from Ballast Point Park beyond the south end of the drive (go south of Gandy Blvd.), and from there you can see the entire Bayshore Blvd and downtown skyline of Tampa.

By tommB2758XB |

great place to go for a walk (weather permitting). Morning runs or evening walks are awesome. Good view of downtown Tampa. Some parts not far from Soho.

By Sharon C |

Absolutely wonderful walking path! I went during the day and it was such a great adventure. The path is wide enough for walkers, runners, bikes, and pets. I want to say I walked about 2 miles and there were a few water fountains if you forget to bring a water bottle. Very well-maintained and beautiful walk way. Right on the water you can't really ever get sick of the view. I recommend if you have some time to add this walk/run/bike ride to your itinerary.

By Kathryn M |

The long sidewalk along Bayshore needs to be experienced to be believed. It has been around for a long time but unlike many similar walks in other cities, this one has been improved over the years without losing its flavor. Great place to excercise ... walk, jog, skate, bike. Great place just to sightsee ... beautiful and historic homes, the Bay itself, and several plaques. Whether you are a local or a tourist you gotta walk at least part of this once in your lifetime.

By Misqueen |

The best of Tampa is on Bayshore Drive. I love looking at the homes - many have been there a long time, others are fairly new. Most all are truly beautiful and have a great view of the Tampa Bay. Lots of people bicycle, walk, and run on the large sidewalk next to the bay. It is a lovely drive.

By Donna S |

Driving along Bayshore Blvd. you get to see the major mansions of Tampa as well as the skyline and many other attractions. If you're a tourist it's a must.

By ElleT671 |

You can choose to either walk or bike this beautiful street. Best to avoid heat of the day. For the truly adventurous - walk through Hyde Park and grab a coffee or muffin and then continue your walk. You can rent cycles on the street.

By ShadyHonyBee |

I have lived in Tampa 60 years. Born on Davis Island...just a jump over to Bayshore Blvd.I love this stretch of senic beauty. It is wellworth the drive from one end to the other and back again if you are not from this area. At Christmas the lights are beautiful and cheery. The homes are so unique. If you do make it down here take a little detour on Gandy to Kojacks House of Ribs

By mnmerilee |

Driving down Bayshore Blvd is so soothing, and peaceful... if you walk or ride your bike it is even better! I go out of my way to drive along Bayshore rather than take the highway or other options. It's hard to believe that something so beautiful is in the city!!
Take the time out of your day to drive this area... it takes you into downtown Tampa, which is another wonderful place to visit!! I live nearby and can never get enough of this gorgeous area! Beautiful homes also!! Enjoy!!

By Tisha V |

This is my favorite road to travel on, it's so peaceful and beautiful and relaxing. Run, walk, bike, roller blade. Good for all.

By petermcarey |

Gorgeous place to walk, run, bike, or drive! What a view! Beautiful houses and just a wonderful spot.

By Alice R |

Our son loved walking on Bayshore Boulevard when he lived in Tampa as one of his most memorable afternoons. Now that he lives out of state he often asks about the last time we took a Bayshore Walk along the water. We decided to take a walk with old friends today and agree the Views are great and it is a peaceful walk in the morning, afternoon and evening. A free afternoon to take the time to enjoy the Florida Sun, although it would not be favorable in the Tampa Afternoon Rains. Best way to get valuable exercise, and make the time to talk to old friends.

By Pam G |

The coolest sidewalk! Right on Tampa Bay overlooking the city and Davis Island! Great place to walk dogs, ride bike, jog or just take a stroll! Beautiful scenery and you may be lucky enough to see a dolphin swimming in the Bay!

By Dawsontribe |

Bayshore Boulevard reminds me of Pacific Coast Highway in California only it is nicer. The view of the water is amazing, the homes are beautiful and the vibe is very upscale and friendly. I enjoyed hanging out there. I would visit again.

By Jorge S |

One side has the river... nice. The other has big buildings or a street... nothing much to see and very few places to eat or to rest.
Maybe nicer if you go on a bike so you can explore more... on the car is not big deal.

By joyhallwings |

The sidewalk is EXTRA wide and perfect for Strolling, biking , skaters and joggers. You will see them all! I park in a FREE lot at the south end of Bayshore. If you have kids there is a nice play ground in the park near the parking. Pack a picnic , leave it in your car and take off on what is claimed to be " the worlds longest continuous Sidewalk". The view is breath taking in all directions. The Blvd. is divided with beautiful palm trees and plantings in the median. The 4 1/2 mile sidewalk has mansions and high rise condos on the left and a beautiful seawall and water view on the right. Also in the distance you see downtown Tampa. There are many benches along the way to relax and people watch. If you're an exercise buff you will find workout stations along the way also. The down side,,, if you didn't pack a picnic, there is only one place to stop for breakfast or lunch along the way. It is a dive named Pachs, located on the left about midway. It's in a small office building . It's small and nothing special inside except the food and the people, and that says a lot. I saw the mayor one day and it's always hopping with locals. Breakfast all day and lunch.
Another good thing, there is a bathroom in the building and you still have a couple of miles just to get back to your car. My favorite time to go is EARLY MORNING. If you are of a mind to,, you can keep going beyond the continuous sidewalk and end up down town, or on Davis Island. Enjoy the sunshine! Nice not to have car traffic and stop and go...it's continuous after all.

By Brad4242 |

The long side walk stretches ahead along the Bay. Hot on a sunny day as there is little shade. The breeze makes it tolerable. There are piers and places to stop Long the way to fish or just take in the view.

By bridgesoflifetravels/Mz.V |

The Bouleevard was just breathtaking and there were people jogging and exercising. There were exercise stations and walkers and people with baby strollers. The HOMES were stunning and grand. I enjoyed seeing all of the houses large and super large.

By Ann H |

Walk along Bayshore Boulevard to view the most beauiful view of Tampa Bay and historical southern homes of old Florida along this 3 mile sidewalk. Bring your sunscreen and sunglasses to observe it all.

By usfscuba |

... wonderful place to walk, jog, drive by .. when I have visitors we always swing by. Sometimes the bay is stinky, you never know.

By Chris M |

Having been born and raised in Tampa I have always loved Bayshore Blvd. It is timeless. As pretty today as when I was a little girl.

By Miriam H |

Super cool area to walk or ride a bike. It does get very hit and there are no areas of shade on the walk. You can exit into a neighborhood for shade.

By Janice G |

This has been said to be one of the longest continuous sidewalks. I am not arguing the fact but I do know it is one beautiful walk with the bay on one side and high end homes on the other!

By mirgold59 |

everytime we are in Tampa we go crusining down Bayshore. Super clean and right on the ocean....we see dolphins while driving!

By Marcia D |

We live on Bayshore and pinch ourselves every day at how nice it is to walk outside our door and enjoy the beautifully-manicured area, and healthy, friendly people enjoying the outdoors1

By ChampagneChels |

It's s lovely trail and inmost days you can see some awesome birds and perhaps even dolphins. It's worth a walk run or bike.

By Sylvia P |

Awesome view on 7 mile stretch concrete-walk along Tampa Bay safe for running, walking, bike riding, dog walking, baby strollers. Periodic water fountains; no toilet facilities. The Colonnade Restaurant is the only eatery where you can eat a delicious meal and look out at the bay, watch the people go by on the concrete walk way across the boulevard. I went for a bike ride during the weekdays along the entire stretch and have never had a problem. Beautiful view. I've also eaten at the Colonnade and have had delicious gluten-free meals at reasonable prices.

By Hartmut P |

A place for walkers, bicyclists, runners, and more. Excellent place to do your sports. One one side of the street the great and interesting houses, on the other side the Bay. You are in between!

By CindyOak |

I have been to countries where people defecate in the street, portapotties on construction sites and music festivals, have worked in dog kennels, visited waste water treatment plants, and have had sewer line failures at my home.

Never have I been assaulted with such a stench as I was on April 5 2018. I didn't don't know such a stench could even exist without coinciding with sirens blaring, hazmat suits donned, and immediate evacuations of all living creatures. WHATS UP? Strongly recommend avoiding unless you figure out that this environmental catastrophe or superfund site has been remediated.

Forget about swimming or fishing - not even safe to breathe.

By Barrie D |

totally best place in the area to live! the houses are lovely, the local area is great to bring up your children and the place has the best schools in florida!

By KimmieKakes |

Gorgeous views of downtown Tampa and the historic houses along Bayshore, there is also a pier with a park, splash pad, and horseback riding.

By Alex F |

Maybe by car, walking or running this is a beautiful boulevard to take. I regularly take this route, even a longer way to my destination because of its beauty. Unfortunately no place to park unless you drive into a side street and are lucky to find a place to park.

By CaseyfromBoston |

A nice walk with great views of the water, city, nice houses, and so on but, in the end it just that and no kind of great "experience." Do it if you have some extra time, but OK to skip it if you have other specific interests and things to do.

By Dale S |

From the Brorein Bridge to Gandy Blvd - about 4.25 miles of very wide sidewalk - you see Tampa in a unique way. Hillsborough Bay on one side, fabulous homes and high rise buildings on the other side. Looking across the bay, the skyline of Tampa continues to shift as the semi-circular walkway shifts your view. But the real delight is seeing the other people of the walkway - bicyclists, ranging from Tour de France skills to folks who have just rented a public bike. There are runners ranging from marathon level to beginner level. Rollerbladers - some swooping along the walkways like ballet dancers to others struggling to stay upright. Then there are walkers - old & young, singles/couples/families - some fast, some slow, many with dogs. Candidly I pity those who travel the walkway with earbuds, listening to music. Why? First, you won’t hear the bicyclist and runners who announce they are passing you (so you don’t get hit). But, second, more importantly, is to take in the sights and sounds of people (and cars) along one of the most beautiful sidewalks in the world. I have spent time in almost 30 countries and Bayshore Boulevard is my favorite walkway.

By Iam_Simonsmith |

Bst place for running in Tampa, and for children for some walk or rollerskate. Be careful because of the hot-get some water with u!

By Root_Beer_Doug |

Can’t ask for a more beautiful place to cycle, run, or walk. I rented a shared bike for a lovely 10 mile ride along the bay south of the Tampa Convention Center.

By dandapatioman |

This is the best place to walk, run or ride bikes in Tampa. Pleasant on the Bay setting on one side and on the other homes with gran architecture to admire,

By Superhero Family |

While going to school in Tampa I ran Bayshore multiple times during the week. The view is great. The sidewalk is huge so bikes, runners, walkers, etc aren't bumping into each other. You may even find left over beads from Gasparilla!

By froglag |

We walked on this trail a couple of times while visiting the Tampa downtown area. This area is very beautiful with a great walking/ biking trail. While walking we saw a porpoise surface so that was our highlight of the day hike. Beautiful area to stretch your legs, Enjoy your hike...

By stan764 |

Bayshore Blvd walkway is a treasure. I walk it several mornings a week, usually prior to 7am. Today I saw dolphin, many pelicans and seagulls. I also used the exercise equipment the city installed along the walk.

By Michael D |

It is always fulfilling to feel that calm presence within when you drive along this beautiful scene. Makes you feel great to be alive.

By markq3 |

A pleasant way to excercise, often see fish jumping and the occasional dolphin....probably why the fish are jumping. Also a lovely walk

By Sonia W |

A great stroll along the boulevard, beautiful homes with so much history and restaurants to choose from. Our friends met here for a walk while watching a tremendous sunset wndrinks afterwards and the evening was complete.

By kafdmd |

I bike the trail 3-4 times a week. Great experience and sometimes the dolphins will follow you down the sidewalk.

By Jelena J |

Beutifuil views, nice houses and lanscaping . Many nice bars and restaurants along the shore. Great place to run, walk or drive by

By tubeaudi0 |

Great place for walking, jogging, sightseeing. Exercise spaces are located along the walkway. Stunning views of Tampa Bay and surrounding shoreline.

By Ben1ottawa |

Walking distance from Le Meridien hotel. Located on the water front, with places to seat if needed. Nice view along the way, showing great architecture.

By gj0hns0n67 |

Beautiful stretch of sidewalk and road. Good for walking and jogging and just enjoying the outside and sightseeing. Will definitely go again.

By Michael1952 |

Went for an early evening walk. Did not walk the whole way but the walk I had was fantastic. You have the beautiful water that you are walking by and the roadway has a lot of large, beautiful homes along the whole way. If you like to go for walks and are in Tampa you have to walk Bayshore.

By Bianca Rios |

It was a nice run/walk outside, but the whole time it smelled like rotting seeweed :/ maybe its better on other days but it SMELLED the day i went

By jeremy f |

Beautiful local views, workout areas and running path... And yes, it really is the the longest continuous sidewalk in the world. The month of February brings the local Tampa tradition to this scenic roadway, with a parade including pirate floats, an invasion pirate fleet and LOTS of beads, bands and beers!

By Trail133850 |

Its stupid that this is even an attraction, there is no parking along this road & nothing else there. There are side roads but need permit to park..no place to sit even if you find parking. Strictly walking. Can't even go in the water.

By Anujjjjjjj |

An amazing walking trail, and a great place to run. You will see runners all around. The view is just amazing, i go here to run almost 3 times a week. A must visit in Tampa

By Ken V |

I travel this road 5 times a week. No trucks are allowed on it. Super view of the bay. Longest sidewalk in the world. Great for running walking biking etc.

By Rosa0463 |

Bayshore blvd is less of an attraction and more of a place to walk run etc. Once a year the city celebrates gasparilla here and it’s a big celebration . One weekend for kids the next for grownups . That’s in January or February great to go to! So much fun !

By Stefano T |

A beautiful promenade that allows you to make walks on foot, by bicycle or on skates. It is located a short distance from downtown and allows you to spend a few hours of relaxation. The only problem is the continuous passage of the machines in the parallel road which creates a lot of noise. I am a travel agent with a group for a tour.

By MaKayla D |

Stopped by bayshore boulevard to check out the beautiful homes lining the water while we waited to get hungry for dinner. Decided to rent some bikes and ride south along with water. Beautiful views and a fun way to kill some time.

By GlobalGirlie |

The houses on the street are so beautiful. It's really nice because you could walk right along the water and people will be rollerblading by you and it's very pretty. And across the bay is allegedly where Tom Brady lives in Derek Jeter's house. If you go from the downtown area and go to the end of where the sidewalk is, there's free parking by a park over there.

By Amos C |

I stayed for a week a few blocks from Bayshore Blvd. I rode my bike over to Bayshore and then rode up and down Bayshore. I also ran a few miles on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is very wide to allow people to pass each other. There are bike lanes along the rode. The views of the city is excellent as well as the atmosphere of the bay.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because, for some reason, there is about a 1 1/2 mile stretch on the south end, going south, that does not have a bike lane.

By WanderingSailor78 |

Bike, run, jog, or take a leisurely walk along Bayshore Boulevard and Tampa's Linear Park. Exercise stations are dotted along the way. Sit along the shore and watch sailboats racing off Davis Island, dolphins, rays, and the occasional manatee. Where Bayshore Boulevard is four lanes and divided by Tampa's Linear Park, it is well lit. But that doesn't stop you from looking skyward. Some nights you can see the International Space Station flying silently horizon to horizon. Bayshore Boulevard is host to charity walks, runs, and the famous Gasparilla Parade. There's always something happening on Bayshore Boulevard.

By TravelerforBees |

It is hard to enjoy the view of the bay with speeding cars flying by at high rates of speed. I suggest you park on a side street and walk the sidewalk to enjoy the view.

By Chaitanya |

Great walk to see the views of the waterfront of Tampa.
It is similar to waterfront views of other cities. If your already in the area, it is worth spending some time to just enjoy the fresh air and water views.

The area was busy and everyone was having a nice stroll out. Nice place to spend some time, to enjoy the sunny weather and just have a relaxed afternoon.

By Sandra C |

This really isn't a place to visit, but a great drive to/from the downtown area. Exceptional homes to view along the way.

By nabeab |

Beautiful early sunrise bike ride along this beautiful bay. We enjoyed this very much, there is a cycle trail along and there are runners, walkers along enjoying the beautiful weather now. Around 8 miles one way.

By 2tired2choose |

I love Bayshore, you can bike all the way to the Riverwalk, the fitness trail is a wonderful workout, taking a leisurely stroll has awesome views. You won't be disappointed!

By Patricia M |

Nice walk along Bayshore Blvd is great. Lots of activity of walking, biking, running going on. Always very pretty site.

By 'saac&mama |

Why is this a place to go? It is hot, with no shade, and is directly next to a road, so you get the "benefits" of exhaust. But it's apparently the longest such sidewalk in the world, or something like that, and people seem to like to run/skate/bike on it.

By Jamie W |

I love walking around this area during the morning time and at evening times before darkness comes around. Very short distance away from Davis Islands, Tampa General Hospital and other businesses surrounding this area. Very beautiful homes, condos and culture.

By James C |

This area start near MacDill AFB in South Tampa and run to downtown Tampa. You will see multi-million dollar homes, the inner Tampa Bay, and on the eastern side there is the longest continuous side walk in the world. There are also a couple of neighborhoods that have been dedicated to fine restaurants and boutique shopping. Each year Tampa hosts what is know as the Gasparilla Pirate Fest. It includes everything from a foot race to two parades. One parade is for children and one if for adults.

By Keithdoesnttravelmuch |

This is a must do drive while you are in Tampa. The road wraps around the bay and the houses along the road are amazing.

By THOMASFROMDAMASCUS |

I never realized that the Bayshore Boulevard was so long! It is over 5 miles in length and affords two great views...the first of Tampa Bay and the outlining islands, the to see the beautiful homes along the Bayshore Boulevard!

Both are so great. I highly recommend you drive slowly along this fantastic Boulevard.

By DONNA CONNER |

It is really beautiful to take a drive down this Boulevard to see the water and all the nice houses. There is a side walk that run's right along the water and you see people walking, skating, jogging, riding bikes. You will really have a good time seeing it.

By Paul C |

The boulevard is wonderful. Great walkway all around and beautiful mansions and apartment buildings that line its path. Great place to stroll.

By S m |

This is a wonderful place to run, walk, or bike! It is scenic and you can't lose your way. There are parcourse stations along the way and they have been refurbished. It is a safe place to enjoy because there are always others doing the same. Be sure and mind trail etiquette--staying to the right of the path so others can pass.

By TPATOO |

Great for walks, jog, bikes and sitting by the Bay. Beautiful homes as a backdrop and the Tampa skyline across the water.

By kmsfas |

Great place for biking, walking and fishing. I try and get out as much as I can. Great water views and a peaceful relaxing place.

By lovegoodfood549 |

i stay on davis islands when i travel to tampa, so i travel the bayshore several times a day and the view is magnificient! -always look forward to driving there

By s0phiepaul |

it was a lot fun and satisfaction for me and my family. A lot thing to do in Tampa. We will go back soon.

By P5_Crazy_Train |

Beautiful drive, lots to see. The Bay is pretty and the houses along the boulevard make it a pleasant drive. The traffic can be a problem though. Wish we could’ve found a place to park so we could’ve walked along the wall for a little while. Pretty.

By tikirawker |

Bayshore is scenic and enjoyable. I highly recommend renting a city bicycle and going for a ride. My personal preference in Sunday mornings a nice ride with a detour on Howard Ave for a couple adult beverages and brunch. If you stay too long you can always Uber home as there are bike returns everywhere.

This is the place to visit while you are in Tampa. Bring your running shoes or bike and enjoy 10 miles of sidewalk. You'll see people walking, running, strollers, etc, etc. The view is spectacular. Keep your eyes open for dolphins or manatees. This is also the place where the annual Gasparilla parade takes place. If you like being outdoor, this is a place you will always remember.

I used bayshore to walk to the aquarium from our hotel, it was clean and great views, you could see dolphins and bat rays in the morning. Just beautiful.

By mercedessummerwell |

In my opinion, this is a beautiful drive as it reveals gorgeous homes and mansions most of which have been there for many many years. Driving Bayshore at night is even prettier.

By sumonesvaca |

Drove out Ft. MacDill exit and really enjoyed our drive, it looked like a great place to take a walk or jog.

We love the Bayshore area and enjoy the visits. We do miss the Colonade as this was one of the great draws.

We had quite an extended stay in Tampa and were in the area of Bayshore Blvd. Even though there is a lot of traffic on Bayshore, it was still a pleasant walk in the evening. Most people were walking but there were people on bikes and rollerblades. There is also a one-mile section for exercise stations. The homes along Bayshore are beautiful and we enjoyed looking over the rail as the crabs and fish.

The family attended the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion this year and we chose to stay on Bayshore blvd to enjoy the parade. We took up a position by the Davis Island Bridge to await the floats, the pirates and of course the beads.
The views of the waterfront were excellent, the crowds were impressive and we all had a good time. Lost a star due to lack of bathrooms - average wait time was half an hour for the portalets.

Love driving the 7 mile length day or night. There are many glorious views from many directions. Every time in Tampa I love going there

By mdfloyd322 |

We enjoyed driving along Bayshore Boulevard. Lovely classic homes and a beautiful view of the bay. I hear it's crazy during Gaspirilla!

By Bradley H |

Great place to walk run or bike right along the water, some really interesting homes with lots of character along the ride. Also may high rises as well.

By richard s |

Many older well maintained homes. These are now all over one million dollars each. Nice drive only a couple of miles, many outdoor restaurants nearby.

By differentname |

Take a walk, allegedly on the longest sidewalk in the world (who is going to challenge that?)..... 10 feet wide and 4.5 MILES LONG. Benches, scenic views, photo opportunities and water. Take a run. Bring a towel and get some sun. Breathe the air. Say hello to someone you don't know. That someone might be the person you'll spend the rest of your life with.

Tampa... you've created a beautiful thing....

By the way, the Bayshore Boulevard and long sidewalk is not the Tampa Riverwalk... which is a horse of a different color, a separate and distinct entity.

Bayshore is the crown jewel of Tampa with sweeping views of Tampa Bay. A great place to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

By CatalinAlbu |

Highly recommended for a walk, run, jog, power walk, with a great view. Very friendly fellows, nice water fountains. Make sure you also take a walk to admire the houses. Wear sun screen, of course.

By Patricia S |

We used to live about 4 blocks from here. It is a great waterside "park". Nice for taking a stroll and exercising as well.

By EmilyCo23 |

I love working out on bay hore it is breathtaking from sunsets/sunrises to the foggy mornings it is all beautiful. Excellent place to workout

By Antoinette L |

Absolutely beautiful views. Great place to go for a nice and easy walk, a jog or cycling. I recommend taking time out to visit.

By Flowerchild1964 |

We got turned around when looking for parking in downtown Tampa. This is just a stone's trhrow from downtown. The homes are beautiful and the community is well maintained. There is plenty of room to walk or jog. No signs of trash or debris anywhere. Chances are good you can see animals in the water.

By TravelVidaa |

Bay shore Boulevard is a beautiful scenic drive. It would be better if there was parking somewhere.

The boulevard runs in between the Bay and million dollar homes. So it's difficult to pull over and enjoy the view .

Lots of people running , biking , walking alongside the bay.

I wish I could say more but........

It was a great drive

By Joan W |

This area is exquisite for walking or jogging or just enjoying the stunning view. If you are visiting, you really do not want to miss this beautiful area.

By Chang C |

It is a place with the most beautiful views. Perfect for the sun time. The area is very clean and peaceful.

By kcexcavator |

bikers, joggers, dog-walkers, walkers; just a nice place to take a walk or move your body a bit... Also, during Christmas time you can see all the beautiful real estate along the boulevard and the side streets decorated and lit, after dark. Nice place to visit, if in town.

By Terry G |

The place to go if you love to run or bike. There are always people out doing all kinds of out door exercising. Nice way to see the large houses that line the road.

By BillUsma74 |

The sidewalk is wide, there is at least one set of fountains, but the view is the deal. Wonderful old houses on one side and the bay on the other, it works all day both directions. 3-5 miles no issue can’t say about longer. Truly a treat for city runners.

By jwcook01 |

What a beautiful part of Tampa Bay. The drive is so scenic and give you a chance to see some big beautiful homes along the way. Lot's of walkers and bikers. It's a fun and beautiful area to visit.

By BrakiWorldTraveler |

I've read somewhere this is the longest seaside boulevard in the world. Didn't really measure it, but it was a long, very long drive passing by beautiful homes and gardens on one side and Tampa Bay on the other.
There's a walking, jogging and cycling path just by the shore, but I didn't see many using it, probably because it was almost noon on Florida sun.
It was great cruising the blvd at low speed with AC on and great music admiring the surroundings.

By Dan H |

Such a well manicured and maintained walking path (with bikes...even if there is a bike lane....but for me bikes lanes are unsafe) with beautifull homes, bungalows, mansions and condos lining the boulevard! It's safe for all genders, male, female and not sure! Lots of lighting for the evening stroll or run.numerous benches and streaching stations etc...
Stay down town or on Davis island...and walk the walk of life on the Bayshore Boulevard!

By Teegra2015 |

I love to ride my cycle up and down this boulevard, it is so nice. you can ride your bicycle, jog, or walk. have nice wide sidewalks and beautiful houses on the opposite side.

By J H |

Walk (run or bike) the longest sidewalk in the world. Beautiful views of water, birds and gorgeous homes. You can even walk in toward Hyde Park area and see more homes of various sizes and there is a charming village. Every time we visit Tampa, we do this walk, we never tire of it.

By Celling |

Very lovely run. If you get a little further down outside of the city it becomes much less congested and a whole lot nicer. There is very limited parking in the very nice area but it's well worth it.

By Katgo0528 |

We went to an event at the Tampa Women's Club across the street so we took a little walk to see the bay. This area is beautiful. You could see the sunset and water right from the venue. It was amazing. Would love to come to this area for a bike ride or a walk sometime.

By csb14 |

When visiting family in Tampa I always try to get down to Bayshore to run along the bay. Beautiful scenery and paved/cement walkway.

By JewelShine |

This boulevard just goes and goes for what seems like forever. I finally got worried about the time and had to turn back. It was fun to gawk at all the beautiful homes along the way. Riding along the bay was beautiful and refreshing.

By Mooshe31 |

8 miles of beautiful sidewalk with Tampa Bay on one side and the best homes in Tampa on the other side! Great place to exercise!

By jpmaui2020 |

I believe I read that this is the longest walking/running/biking path in U.S. It is a very wide path for many activity seekers to enjoy. You will see some incredible homes on one side and great ocean sites on the other side. Worth going on during your trip to Tampa.

By tmail54 |

Great area to just walk or jog. Bay view(s) at sun rise (bring your camera) are breath taking!

The night views are beautiful!

By Lisa T |

From Biking to skating to running to walking to enjoying the beautiful and exciting parades...This is the place to be.

By WineDineandPlay |

My wife has driven and walked along the Bayshore Drive many times, but I have only seen it once. I compare it to other waterfronts that i've seen around the world, and as the old saying goes, seen one seen them all. There are some beautiful homes along the drive, great views of Tampa high rise buildings, and some nice restaurants as well.

By 200marcr |

The longest sidewalk inthe books, breathtaking view of incredible mansions, the pirate ship is parked there and you get a great view of downtown

By Benion |

If you are looking for a place to get in your steps, it is hard to beat this area that hugs the bay. Since there were not a lot of nearby bars or restaurants to stop and relax, this would be an ideal place to focus on your walking or running exercise while in town.

By Tara N |

Bayshore Blvd. is lined with beautiful homes on one side and the water on the other. This is a great choice if you like to run outdoors and enjoy the scenery.

By maryjanepomorgan |

Have lived in Tampa all my life. Bayshore Boulevard is a gorgeous walk to take for a leisurely stroll, a bike ride, rollerblading, roller skating, or walking the dog. If it's a beautiful day, it's a beautiful walk. It's great for runners also with stretching equipment, pull up bars, etc. There are a few places to sit and enjoy the view on the beautiful Old Tampa Bay side.

By Jeffrey M |

This is one of the best places in Florida to roller blade safe fun beautiful homes water and people really the hub of Tampa for recreational fun times .

By Raffaele P |

Probably the best walk close to the water in town. Perfect for jogging, skating or simply walking. It's also quite close to Downtown.

By amaya5763 |

Good for a quite walk in the morning really nice view and weather, good to go jogging also, just really nice place

By Tampatraveler5714 |

It's a real pretty place, wonderful breezes blowing off the bay. You don't want to visit on rainy days!

By Cultura D |

Just enjoy a good walk in a day of breeze and warm weather! It’s just nice to walk through the park or to drive it’s surrounding streets... enjoy beautiful houses and landscapes, a nice sunset or morning stroll is really amazing! It’s another good place in Tampa Bay to visit with the family and friends!

By 225cliffordk |

This road that lines Tampa Bay goes from downtown all the way to MacDill AFB. The sights (both people and grand homes) on the route are terrific. A very nice drive that I make sure to take with visitors.

By Shawn_Smith1 |

It was nice until the runners came out. The runners don't care if you have children walking with you, elderly or if you are sight seeing, they feel that Bayshore is for them. Other than that it is a great view of the bay.

By aaronsilverman |

Great drive along the bay to view the water and amazing houses. Highly recommend it if you like water or housing architecture.

By Bilawyer |

I live on Davis Island, located in Tampa, Florida. Bayshore Blvd is one of Tampa's gems. Don't forget to take a walk or rollerblade on this sidewalk. Then drive down Howard Avenue for food, coffee or a drink.

By Kris H |

The drive along Bayshore Boulevard offers one of the best scenic views of downtown Tampa along with its row of elegant million dollar homes that line the boulevard. Our only complaint is that the boulevard offers no parking for visitors that wish to stop and take in the scenery as well as a few memorable pictures.

By TravelBug |

This pathway is 4 miles long and is very nice to run, walk, bike on, except for the stench. Over the past 10 years the problem has grown from just a section at Bay to Bay and Bayshore to the entire stretch from Bay to Bay to Gandy, and sometimes from Bay to Bay up to Rome. Those of us who live here have contacted the City about this to be told its "natural" no it is sewer runoff and is so toxic it will gag you on your morning excursion. Crossing Bayshore can kill you, be sure all the cars really do stop at those pedestrian crossings, often drivers blow through them. Exercise extreme caution if you plan to ride a bike in the "bike lane", drivers here will run you over in a second. Living here I now avoid it most of the time and run other places and bike on the Pinellas Trail which is awesome.

By livinglocal-latest |

Bayshore is so picturesque! On a warm sunny morning, it is lovely to walk along the bayshore sidewalk for miles. Many people will be there running, walking or cycling. A few original mansions are stately overlooking the Bay, with several newer style mansions in between.

By monarch_chrysalis |

We spent a beautiful afternoon biking the walkway along Bayshore Boulevard. The walkway is wide with plenty of space for bikers and walkers, a beautiful way to see the impressive homes along the boulevard and also enjoy the water sights. You can easily connect to the River Walk.

We love to take friends to Bayshore and show them the beautiful water and gorgeous homes. It truly makes Tampa a fantastic city.

We stayed at a condo at the Lands End a week ago. It was awesome! Beautiful place. Our condo faces the the boardwalk and inlet area. There are a couple of restaraunts that have live music and food/drinks that sit on the other side. We could sit on the balcony at night and listen to the music. Every morning we seen dolphins coming through. We even caught two manatees sneaking through the inlet area. So cool!! We stayed at 7467 Bayshore dr, #304. Newly remodeled and beautiful. Perfect amount of room, very comfortable! There was construction going on on the outside of the building while we were there, but the inside is completely furnished and finished. Easy elevator access. Garage was easy access. Great family area, treasure island has a lot to offer! Very chill community, slower pace, businesses close earlier than expected and open later than expected. That would usually be annoying but we were on vacation, so it mad us slow down and enjoy!! Go check it out, we loved our time there. Before I forget, the main beach is clean, soft, comfortable. Not crazy busy!!
