A nice Tour and group dinner. Great wines. Wonderful grounds. Great for business or personal parties.

Started our recent trip to Napa at Bell Wine Cellars for the sensory tour. It was phenomenal. Bell is a small, family owned winery, with outstanding cabernets. They use a blind tasting to help you develop your sense of smell and taste. We were able to apply the skills at each of our next tastings which heightened the experience. Maggie was a truly exceptional host. Looking forward to our next trip!

We had a tasting and tour and this can not be beat! We had the lovely Joann take us around and show us the vineyard and explain the wines which were amazing. This was paired with cheese as well and we had a private room. We could have and should have spent all day there!

We did a trip to Napa area with our sons & their girlfriends. They had visited here before so we all went for a wine tasting. We ended up buying some bottles & enjoyed the time we spent. Maybe next time they will be doing food pairings too, they were in the middle of getting area set up.

We wanted the Sensory Experience but it was not available, so we did the Grapes to Glass instead. Regina led us on a tour around their facility and out into the vineyard. The setting is beautiful and the wines were great. Regina answered all of our questions and helped us better understand the wines and the wine-making process. The bocce court was nice so the wine and bocce experience might be a fun option too.

Joe hosted my wife and I on a tasting. He was a blast. He walked us around a bit and talked the two of us through our tasting for about 45 minutes total. The vineyard is beautiful and the wines were delicious. I would strongly recommend for anyone in the Yountville area. We made a reservation on their website.

My niece and I had spent the previous day in Calistoga. We were on our way back to San Francisco, I had looked for small wineries to visit. This is wonderful!!! Lovely grounds, lovely cheeses, great service and pours. I am not a Cabernet fan.... This is the best I have EVER tasted!!! If you want what could be one of the best experiences at a vineyard... Make your reservation now!! Enjoy!!!

I’m so glad that we made it to Bell Winery. The location is stunning, the wine is excellent and the same can be said for the service. Our host, Darren was charming, fun and taught us a lot about wine. If you’re looking for a fantastic personalised wine-tasting experience in Napa at a place steeped in history, look no further than Bell Winery. Highly recommended.

A group of 4 women went to Napa for a 40th birthday. We took a wine tour and this was our first stop. Amanda Lusk was upbeat and enthusiastic about her work. She provided a great overview of the vineyard and what they produced. We felt spoiled by the cheese and wine sampling. The winery is a cozy place that is not pretentious but still delivers a quality wine. Thank you for welcoming us into your "home" and making such a good first impression!

We had a great experience at Bell Wine Cellars. Our host, John, was knowledgable, friendly, and interactive. We did not have that same experience at other wineries we visited. John taught you about their winemaking process and used such great metaphors to help you understand the process. He was entertaining and you can tell he was very passionate about the wines! We would definitely go back to Bell Wine Cellars!

These were the best wines we tasted on this trip. Our host Justin was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines are sublime. The tasting is by appointment only, but we didn’t realize that. Even though we stopped in randomly, they took excellent care of us.

We had a private tasting with Maggie. It was very educational and informative. She had an impressive knowledge of wines. We were able to try most of their selections. We also had a short tour.

The wine room was literally in their storage facility. It was an impressive set up. The private tasting area was also excellent. The wines are simply fantastic.

Good wine, good staff. Not far from the freeway so stop on by.

We were taken to this small winery as part of a golf/wine tour. Such a lovely welcome from Joann and a delightful tour from a lady who has acceptional knowledge and keeness for her wines. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with cheeses to complement.

My boyfriend and I spent a week traversing Napa and Sonoma counties the first week in February and Bell was one of our favorites from the entire trip. We booked a grape to glass tour and it was the best tasting experience we had! John was our gracious host and he greeted us at the tasting bar with a taste of the Sauvignon Blanc when we showed up for the tour. John made us feel as if we were one of his friends that stopped by to learn more about the vineyard. He entertained all of the questions we had for him and gave us a truly enjoyable experience. I would strongly suggest stopping by if you happen to be planning a trip to Napa. You will have to make a reservation, but definitely look into the grape to glass tour! If you are lucky, John will be the one to guide you around the facility!

loved this winery. After visiting the big boys, like Sterling, Beringer, the Castle, etc., we checked this one out per our concierge at hotel, and it was great. Such a personalized tour and tasting and not-snooty instructions. I would only do family owned small wineries now if I go back. Also, as a bonus, I think their chardonnay was excellent, and I'm not even a white wine drinker. It had a creamy aftertaste which I thought was unique and almost dessert like but not sweet-very hard to describe. Also I loved one of their merlots, it was a perfect blend of spicy and subtleness. This is a little gem.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Wine and Cheese pairing. This was our second visit to Bell and we had a wonderful time! The Clone 6 is by far my favorite!!

By CraiginBend |

My wife and I visited Bell last week and were hosted by Elise. The estate was smaller, relaxed and more intimate than the larger more visited venues, which is a plus. Elise spent over an hour with us, we sampled a very nice variety of wines and we particularly enjoyed the lightly oaked Chardonnay and Merlot, and took a couple of bottles of each. Elise is a charming host and tolerated our "early learning curve", which was the point undertaking a more intimate tasting such as this. Probably the best wines we tasted on the trip.

(Sadly some idiot with a bike ran into the box while I was loading the car at the hotel and broke 2 of the 4 bottles - an opportunity for lessons in anger management).

If there was a definition of a perfect wine, this may have been it. Bell is a boutique winery and doesn't mass produce and it shows. They pay attention to the detail of the wine and quite honestly, this may have been the best wine we had during our entire Napa trip. I would come back here time and again if I lived closer. If you are in Napa, get an appointment and check this place out. Be prepared to spend $150 for a bottle, as this is a boutique, small winery that has far less volume going out the door, they do charge a bit more. The tasting is the same as everywhere else, the standard $20.

By JSH3537 |

We got to Bell as they were closing. But they were so gracious and Darren did a tasty for the 3 of us. So knowledgeable and down to earth. Wine was my favorite of the whole day, who knows it may up being my favorite of the whole trip.

Great small winery if you’re in the area.

By stacygroff |

We have been Bell fans for a while, so naturally visited in person while in Napa. We had an incredible private tasting. The cheese pairings were excellent (aged gouda, humboldt fog, and some other "interesting" cheeses). Sadly they are not making the Sonnette blend anymore, but due to the closeout we were able to stock up on it for a really great price. The Clone 6 cab is one of the best cabs out there IMO. Our host was personable and engaging. Sandra even pulled a bottle from her library for us to try alongside the current release of the same wine. We will definitely be back.

By Devon A |

Their tastings are in a wine cellar and it makes you feel you’re a part of it. I love thier wines and the experience its

I can't rave about the Clone 6 Cab enough! I have never had such a good Cab. A MUST TRY if you are in Napa. Besides the amazing wine, this is the cutest little boutique winery. Staff were very friendly, nice tour. The tasting room, winery, barrel room, etc is all in one small building with the vineyards right out back. The wine is expensive, but definitely worth it!

By Jim |

This was a great find. The tour takes you into the vineyard where you can taste the grapes straight from the vine. The guide was fun and engaging. You can expect to be here for about 2 hours. The wine was also very good and the location is great.

By RedMountainAVA |

First off, as other reviews have mentioned, John is an absolutely excellent host. I certainly enjoy tours of wineries, but this tour was made so much better by having him as the host.
First, the group of 4 of us were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. We wandered through the beautiful building and barrel storage with chardonnay, then enjoyed a great education and discussion on the patio and in the vineyard with merlot, syrah, and two clones of cabernet sauvignon. Finally, we were lucky enough to be able to try two barrel samples of cabernet to see the differences that barrel-type makes.
The wines here are definitely high quality and the staff clearly enjoy what they do. Highly encouraged to plan a visit here!

We really enjoyed our tasting time with Darren. We have been to the Napa area about 4 times, but we really feel like we learned something during Darren’s presentation. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the wines. Now my husband loves to air out his wine by rolling the glass on the table. Wines were excellent and sitting under the trellis near the vines was peaceful and enjoyable.

I have been to Napa and Sonoma a handful of times and my visit to Bell was by far my best experience tasting and touring in the region. We made an appointment for an afternoon tour on the weekend (by appt only) and had a private tour for just the 6 of us. The tour offered tons of great information including a first hand look at the grapes on the vines. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great interactive tour intertwined with tastings at the perfect intervals. The wine was very impressive and a few in our group walked home with bottles we can't wait to taste again! Bell knows about the art and science of wine and they share this with visitors in a welcoming atmosphere.

The last time I visited here in 2019, I was impressed. Four years later, almost
To the day, I am still impressed. The facility was completely redone, and this time, we were able to be seated. A great improvement over 2019. I like their w I nes in 2019 and came away with a fair amount of bottles. Over the last four years, I have repeatedly bought their "Scoundrel" in batches of 6 & 12. It is my favorite table wine. The higher end ones do stand out over many of the other wineries. So much, so I joined their wine club. I don't do this as a rule unless I plan to drink more of their high-end wines. I am not a wine expert and do not typically spend over $50 a bottle. I think others will find Bell a great source for Napa wines.

By Texasboe |

Maggie Bernat was FANTASTIC. Maggie had some great stories and thought us so much about wine history as well as Bell wines. She had some cheese pairing for each wine we tasted. it was magnificent. we then enjoyed a catered lunch among the vines. it was great! highly recommend

By Amy H |

Mike is amazing. When we booked our tasting, we had no idea about the expert we’d meet. Mike’s new to Bell Winery but not to the Napa Valley... every question we had about everything regarding wine and Napa, he knew the history and progression. We left in awe of the knowledge he shared. The wines were fantastic of course (which is why we went there) the property is beautiful & the history of the wine maker is unique to Napa. Just book it & ask for Mike:)

By Dashner |

Regina was our host. Demonstrated great knowledge of the winemaking process. Had great tastings and learned the intricacies of each wine. Wonderful experience and great wines

By Allyson M |

My favorite part of our Napa trip! Bell winery is fantastic. We made an appointment for the wine and cheese pairing. We had no idea it would be a private tasting/tour. What a great start to our trip. Lamar was our host and he was top notch. We walked the vineyards, tasted grapes, learned the history and tasted some incredible wines paired with the perfect cheeses. We never felt rushed and it was not crowded. It is just Perfect. Do not miss this winery....

By mdboulier |

Excellent sensory wine tasting experience. Perfect way to start your trip to Napa. They made it about wine, more so than the usual sales pitch. We had a great time, two couples. Have done the regular current release tasting as well which I also recommend. Top activity around Yountville.

By Sarah-Jane B |

My husband and I have been wine club members for 5 years now, and we visit at least once per year! We're never ceased to be amazed by the service and of course the delicious clone 6 wine! We see the Bell's nearly every time we go there, which is amazing since it is amazing to see a winemaker/owner so hands on doing a tour. We love Bell!

By Rich H |

Great wine tasting with Rob. He did an excellent job explaining the various types of wines in a very slow paced relaxed environment. Well worth a visit. We are now members of the wine club!!

By Megan W |

Wonderful to see a winery in action crushing grapes and flushing tanks! The staff is very friendly and the story behind the owner (who made an appearance on our tour) and how the winery developed is inspiring!

By Betsy612 |

Our driver added this winery on the second day after meeting us. So glad he did! Loved the tour, the tasting experience and the wines! We had a private tasting with cheese pairing. It was wonderful!!! This winery is beautiful. The wines were some of our favorites. Had we not already joined the wine clubs we did, we would have joined. We did buy wine though!! Make sure you add this one to your tour!

By Clyde C |

Maggie gave us a private tasting and tour of vineyard and winery. So knowledgable and enthusiastic. Great wine. Had lunch on patio overlooking vineyard. Arranged by Stan Knight Wine Tours who introduced us to owner Anthony Bell. Highlight of Napa trip.

By rmarks2017 |

Maggie was awesome. The wines are amazing and the grounds are beautiful. We were in from Chicago and the experience could not have been better!

By Thomas B |

It was a perfect day. Blue skies, happy people, But most important were the fine wines. #6 did I say #6? Never mind you will figure it out when you get there. So How serious are you about fine wine? Really? Well, this is where you come to find out what it feels like to walk in the shadows of the rich and famous. But compared to the restaurant prices its a fraction for the real deal. THEY DID NOT POUR A WINE I DIDN'T LIKE...A LOT. While I was enjoying my wine I played a few games of Bocce Ball. Outside in the gardens. This is not a stop for wine tasting, it's a destination.

By DJshohan |

We visited this place on recommendation from our hotel in Napa and we were impressed. The intimate, private tasting was really cool. We were able to ask as many questions as we wanted, even stupid ones and we did not feel like they were rolling their eyes at us. The wines were also very awesome. The Clone 6 is an amazing wine, not just the taste, but the story behind it as well. The tasting was in the fermentation room and next to the aging room so you really feel like you're in a working winery when you're there. Do yourself a favor and buy their cellar exclusive wines, you will not regret it.

By Mary M |

Highly recommend this stop on any wine tour in Napa Valley. The personal service in educational wine tour were fantastic. And the icing on top was that the wines are wonderful, complex and interesting, they clearly know and love what they are doing. If you love wine make this stop, you won’t be sorry.

Okay: if you are tired of the impersonal "here's your Chardonnay and pay your 20-buck fee" winery...if you are seeking superb wines from a small family winery dedicated to excellence and quality vs quantity, go, go, go...no...RUN to Bell Wine Cellars. A bit off the noisy beaten path of the 29 and Silverado wine route, just south of the town of Yountville, the personal touch of this smaller winery with BIG wines will make your day!! The Cabs, the Chard and The Big Guy Red are superb!!

By bcstarz |

We stopped by Bell on a whim, as we just had some extra time while finishing up a business trip. No reservation, but they managed to fit us in on a tour within a few minutes. Reasonably priced, and generous with their tastings. Though not an extremely long tour, it was very informative, and a small group. The small group factor - only about 7 of us - made the tour feel very personal. As we were welcomed as an actual guest - not as a tourist, or customer. The wine was not cheap overall, but very nice. Bought a few bottles to take. Recommended for a personal experience.

By Bill |

Bell was pretty good, we bought a few wines and did the tasting, but not sure if I would go back. The place is being remodeled, so maybe it will be nicer then. Our host was ok, tried to be funny at times, but missed the mark. Very polite and helpful though

By Maddie315 |

We ended our tour with Dynamic Wine Tours here with John as our host and it was the highlight of our day! The wine is delicious, the views are amazing, and John was the best part of the visit! He really strives for each person to enjoy their tasting and time at Bell.

By GMH 7 |

This is a hidden Napa gem. Located slightly North of the town of Napa on Highway 29, this is an easy place to work into your schedule, and if you do, I predict you will be very glad.

Anthony Bell, even with a smaller winery, produces a lot of different wines, sparking, whites, and reds. But, the stars here are the big reds. Anthony was one of the people responsible for Clone 6 in Napa, and it continues to be his shining star.

The reds, particularly those based on Clone 6, are breathtaking: ripe, thick, luscious without being overwhelming with either fruit or alcohol. The quality is amazing, and there are few wines like this anywhere else in Napa Valley.

Also, if you like wine history, the story of Anthony Bell and Bell Cellars is compelling and very important to a full understanding of present-day Napa. Anthony is a BV-alum, along with other varied experiences before he started Bell, in 1991, I believe.

In any event, if in Napa, make time for Bell Wine Cellars. Highly recommended!!!

By Bob G |

Took in a fine tour and wine tasting after golf at Silverado Resort. Enjoyed the knowledgeable presentation from the Bell's marketing person...highly recommend!

By Mollie A |

We visited recently while staying in Yountville. We were doing a jeep tour in which we were driven but staying in Yountville you could totally ride bikes here which would be a lot of fun. The tasting was nice as we were out on the patio enjoying the beautiful grounds. Some tastings I assume are given in the tasting room inside but being outside was much more enjoyable. While I like seeing where everything is made it is nice to be outside especially since they have such nice grounds. We did a wine and cheese pairing which was really good. All the wines were delicious. There was nothing that really wowed us here but I did enjoy it.

By Jim Greiner |

Bell Wine Cellars is in the Yountville area but not really close enough to town for a leisurely walk when visiting other tasting rooms in the area. So get in your car and drive about a mile south of town to enjoy a terrific tasting experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We liked it enough that we joined their club. We are looking forward to our first wine shipment!

By Wellness-Itinerary |

When going to Napa be sure to first get your @PriorityWinePass and second, book your 2:1 grape to glass tour at Bell Wine Cellars. The tour was really great and the seated tasting was informed and delicious! My only complaint is that I did not order more wine! The bottles I had shipped, I will covet and save for the most perfect occasion! Will definitely return for a second tasting next time i'm in Napa

By KAVIN926 |

This was the first winery we visited and the proprietor gave us a very interesting tour of the winery as well as the vineyard. It was very educational and he was a great speaker....informative as well as funny. Beautiful place. Wine tasting was delicious as well!

By WhitneyG |

Staff very informative! Great experience an knowledge! The wines here were incredible and the cheese samples given really showed the difference with the wine! We order from here now and love the wine. Most bottles are going to be $200 plus. Out of our Napa trip we love Bell's wine!

By taylorn |

I have to preface that I used to distribute for Bell, so my expectations were high. Wow, did John and the staff at Bell knock it out of the park!! They really know their stuff and give you an in depth tour and knowledge based experience. We enjoyed some tastings that most people don't get to have (clone 6) and he really went above and beyond making us and the other couple on the tour really feel like part of their Bell family. If you are trying to decide on a small production winery to visit, make sure Bell is on the top of your list. Oh, and the Claret is BACK!!!! Thanks again John and all of the staff!!

By becandl |

Our host was Darren and he provided a great introduction to the unique environmental and geographical idiosyncrasies of Napa and history of wine making in the area. The wines were excellent and we left with a mixed case of Clone 4, Varozza Vineyard Cabernet and Yountville Sauvignon Blanc. We highly recommend a visit to Bell!

By Callitlikeyouseeit |

Interesting place. The tasting area is right in the middle of the area where they are filling the barrels. The tasting was good but the presenter lacked the enthusiasm for her products that I saw at other wineries. Other than that, nice stop.

By KerSmith |

Fantastic experience! We did the Grape A-Z tour - we learned new things about the wine-making process, and also much more about the wines we tasted than we have at previous tastings. Our guide, Marc, was very knowledgeable, friendly and took the extra step to bring out wines we were interested in, rather than just a standard lineup. Great value for a fun experience and phenomenal wines.

By Robbra1 |

Awesome tour! Very personal, informative, and laid back. The wine was great and pricing was very affordable for the quality of the wine. Highly recommend!

By Bill C |

Small winery with very personal attention. Joe was great and has a vast fund of knowledge. He made the tour educational and extremely enjoyable. Love their bold red wines. Spent time walking through the vineyards and wine-making facilities. Great area to eat an outside lunch. Fantastic time and spent longer there than initially planned.

By Tom N |

Maggie was awesome and represents this winery well. Her enthusiasm and dedication to detail ensures that each person will have an informative experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Her pairings of wines and cheeses is not only innovative but stimulates further speculation of other food pairings with these wines.

Highly recommend this winery and the wines they produce.

By jmbedwell |

My wife and I and our friends visited Bell winery today for our 5th visit in the last 5 yrs. We love Napa wines and this by far is our favorite to drink but more importantly because of the people that are behind it. No other winery cares more about its guests than Bell. Mr Bell is one of the most humble and caring winemakers we have ever met. We can see it every time we visit. Today was no exception. We spent three hours at the winery and felt very spoiled by Ron (our host) as well as the whole team. They were very generous with the wines they shared with us and took us on a tour of the entire facility. I would never pas up an opportunity to visit and support this small, craft, family winery that makes you feel like you're part of their family when you visit.

By S R |

We loved our stop at Bell. Fabulous wines and a stunning winery. John was a wonderful guide and taught us so much about the wines, the winery as well as the winemaking process. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and bought a few bottles to take home with us. The only disappointment is that they don't ship to Canada

By Heidi D |

My husband did a great job researching wineries to visit. Our first stop of a 3 day weekend was Bell Wine Cellars. And they set the bar high for the rest of the weekend. Outstanding wines. Can't wait to order more! This is a favorite we will order wine or visit again and again and again.

By Pam T |

We loved this winery and our tour guide. She was extremely informative and attentive. We loved the wine and even purchased some.

By FAL_10232010 |

My wife and I stopped here as our first stop off a full day with a driver. We took the tour and did a tasting here. The tour/hostess was very knowledgeable about the winery and their approach, as well as general approaches and some history of the Napa Valley itself. The setting was beautiful and the wine was great! We definitely will be going back on our next trip to Napa!

By smvail90 |

We had an extraordinary time at Bell!

Jan is one of the best hosts you will find out there. So passionate for what he does, and that really shines through.

This was our first stop of the day, and it was the best experience we had. We learned so much in the short amount of time we had and even got to taste the grapes and raisins.

So appreciative of the time Jan spent educating us--we will definitely be back in the near future!

By mcisaac5 |

A lot to learn at this vineyard!!! Sit outside and enjoy the wine! Very interesting tour and a great wine! Meet the owners and travel with them!!!

By Micah |

This was the second winery our group visited and after 5 more, the experience here was unanimously the favorite! Mike was our host for the tour and his passion for wine and love of Napa Valley set him apart for the other tours. The way he explained each wine and the history was fascinating and really helped you appreciate what you were tasting! The wine was also delicious! I will definitely return to this winery on my next visit to Napa!

By Monty H |

We heard about Bell Winery Cellar from our limo driver and were fortunate to be accommodated with short notice. We had a wonderful tasting experience hosted by Sandra Bell. We were definitely wow'ed. It was so interesting and educational to have her explain the wine making process and then step outside and have Anthony Bell personally walk us through the crush process while they were in the middle of it. Truly a lovely couple who have a passion for what they are doing and enjoy sharing that passion with the public. Their love for wine making is evident in their wines, because they are all great! Thank you again for the great visit. This is a must visit!

By Matt K |

We have enjoyed Bell Family Winery immensely. The wine is delicious and accessible at many price points. We visited in February pre-Covid and had a great afternoon with Jan. He is very personable and knowledgeable. He can go as deep and technical as you want all while mixing in entertaining stories and history. A few weeks ago, we caught back up with Jan for a Zoom tasting. It really felt like we were all in the same room. Lots of laughs and awesome wine. I would highly recommend this format if you can’t get to Napa.

By CtNoname |

Welcomed by Maggie as we exited our car- she had 2 glasses of wine in hand to greet us with her warm welcoming smile and infectious passion. She gave us tour of the vineyard along with a history overview. We had a private table set aside with cheese plate as we sat looking over the vines I felt I was in heaven,- the place is gorgeous and the wines fabulous- we joined to be club members!

By Jennifer S |

We made a reservation and Joe took great care of us. We had a personalized wine tour and learned about the Science and business of the industry. It was great to get the behind the scenes detail of wineries.

By Rich H |

Had the private tasting here and it was outstanding. Maggie was awesome. Fine wines, cheeses & beautiful grounds. A beautiful hidden gem!!

By LisaSMC |

Bell was truly an amazing experience-one of the top tours we've ever experienced! Jan was welcoming, engaging and so informative. He truly made our trip the very best experience! We learned so much from Jan and had a great deal of fun! Bell definitely takes pride in hosting its guests and makes the experience wonderful! The tasting room is beautiful as is the outside patio/ vineyard! We can't say enough about Jan- if you get the chance definitely make an appointment with him! What an amazing ambassador- it was as if we'd known him for years and he truly educated us on many different varietals! Now the wine- wow!! Smooth, delicious and reasonably priced. We got to taste from the barrel and tried many different clones! We visit Napa every year and this was by far one of our all time favorite experiences! A must if you value exceptional wine, great company and a one-of-a-kind experience!

By NandJRose |

The selection of wines were great! Our personal tour guide was Elise; She showed us the vines and explained the process that makes Bell wines so unique! She was great to talk to and was a fountain of knowledge! They offered a very nice Wine and Cheese pairing. Will definitely be returning!

By dutchmanBangkok |

Was part of a "Bike and Winery" tour where we had no control over what wineries we visited. After visiting one winery, which will remain unnamed, that served the wine in plastic cups and pretty much ignored us we came to Bell Wine Cellars and had the complete opposite experience. The guide was willing to answer any questions, was not in a hurry, treated us as real people, and took us out among the vines to explain what was going on in the entire process of wine production. Apart from the really amazing wine the care given to invest in anyone coming on a tour should be noted and valued here. Along with Joseph Cellars this was the highlight of our time in Napa.

By Junie O |

We were recommended by another wine cellar in Yountville, to visit Bell Wine Cellar, and I guess that says it all!

Staff was friendly and especially the lady who hosted us during the wine tasting session, and she has good product knowledge of her wine.

Recommended: There is a beautiful courtyard outside the wine cellar, by the vineyard, great for photo-taking, or simply taking in the fabulous sights of the blue skies and the green landscape of mountains and vineyards..It's picturesque!!

By delaneydj |

We found a bottle of Big Guy wine in a liquor store before our trip to Sonoma. We decided that we liked it and wanted to check out the winery. We called and made an appointment the next day. We did the full grapes to glass overview and it was a great first stop for folks new to the tasting process. It was a private tasting along with cheese pairings. We learned a lot and walked away with some great bottles of wine!

By Katherine8183 |

We loved our tour and tasting at Bell Wine Cellars. Maggie was our hostess for the tasting, which was just my husband and myself. We sat outside on a beautiful day, overlooking the vineyard. Maggie was very knowledgeable about the wines and the vineyard. We even met the owner, who is from South Africa. He was a very humble man, who has produced delicious and award winning wines. Don't miss this small artisan winery!

By RandKtime |

Bell Wine Cellars is truly second to none! If you have the opportunity, please make a stop to tour the winery and taste the magnificent wines. If your really lucky you might get to have Darren do the presentation of their wines. Darren is not only extremely knowledgeable but was patient with any and all questions we had. I can’t say enough about Bell Wine Cellars. Wow! What a treat.

By Awc123 |

Our group of six had an 1pm wine tasting and all had a blast with our Napa native host. Elysse was great hope that I remembered her name (short hair gal). They were a little short handed that day but being the ability to relax and enjoy was great. Bell is top 5 in my book, love Anthony's wine.

By Jordan R |

First of all I just wanted to say that if you are in the Napa Valley and are truly looking to learn about wine this is your go to winery. My wife's maiden name is Bell and so we thought it would be fun just to stop in to take a photo by the sign. We were wandering around the entrance and John happened to be out and about and he welcomed us in and gave us a phenomenal tour of the property and an in depth tour of the barrel room and the wines themselves. Truly a memorable experience and something that my wife and I will tell others about for years to come. Such a genuine experience and I'm happy that we learned so much!

By Katie T |

Beautiful winery and amazing staff! We had a private VIP tour and tasting, paired with cheese. It was led by the very talented, Elyse! She was so great, catered to our knowledge (or lack thereof) and took us on a comprehensive tour of the winery and walked us through explicitly what we were drinking and how best to drink. Plus the cheese was amazing!

Would definitely recommend this cute boutique winery to everyone! The wine was delicious and the staff/atmosphere was equally as great!!

Our B&B had made reservations here and the Hospitality Mgr. met us as we approached with glasses of "Sparkling Blanc de Noirs, North Coast". It was excellent! We were then invited in to meet Sam, our wine tour guide who brought us outside to the edge of the vineyard to discuss their wines, what grapes they use of their own and from other regions, and how the vines are tended through the seasons. We were then brought inside to see the barrels and into a beautiful tasting room! On a chalk board on the table was a welcome sign with our names and also a small cheese & cracker tray each to pair with our wine tastings. How charming! Medals were displayed everywhere for awards for their wines. Sam brought out several tastings that matched our preferences in wine. Oh, and note we received a 50% tasting fee because of an agreement with the (wonderful) Hennessey House B&B who had made our reservation. We liked most of the wines but really fell in love with their "2015 Merlot Estate Yountville Napa Valley Wine". We were limiting ourselves to a max of 2 bottles per winery for our wine box on the plane trip home, so we bought 2 of the Merlots. However I truly have "Buyer's Remorse" for not having tucked in my suitcase that Sparkling Blanc, but my husband wasn't sure how it would handle the flight. Would definitely include this winery on your visit to Napa Valley!

I visited the winery, which was pretty easy to find, and encountered their friendly staff. The place is quaint, and the tasting room is right there amid the vats and barrels. The wines were way above average. Of course the clone 6 blew me away, but the cab was also spectacular. I went home with a Chardonnay which was wonderful. I'll never forget this place.

Went here with my girlfriend for our first trip to Napa. Was a great experience touring the grounds, learning about the different grapes and the wine and food pairings were great. Worth a trip if it's your first or 30th time to Napa or Sonoma, just to learn about the grapes and have a great tasting experience. Definitely worth the trip.

My friend and I have been to Napa for 6 years and it's our annual trip. We always visit different wineries and this year we had Bell Wine Cellars on our trip. It was a beautiful day in late July and enjoyed the ambiance at the winery. Not to mention, my last name is "Bell" so it was most appropriate for me to taste all the wines. The white wine was my favorite and we ordered some bottles. Definitely worth adding to your itinerary of wineries in Napa.

My husband and I found this winery years ago and loved it. We joined their club and visited what was then barely a trailer used for a tasting room.
We were excited to share this winery with our friends during our last Napa visit. We were also excited to see the beautiful building that now replaced that old trailer. We walked in. We were not acknowledged except for one worker who asked if we had an appointment. We did not, so we were told that they were filled for the day as she continued to walk away from us. No one suggested that we come back another day, etc.
So, now that their winery has taken off, they can turn people away and treat potential customers rudely. We will not go back!

Randomly stumbled in searching for Sav. Blanc 1 yr ago and discovered some of the best Cabs in Napa. Bell has become our favorite place to bring friends and family. Everyone in the tasting room is great, but Jan is our favorite - fun and knowledgeable and funny. Wines range from moderate to expensive but worth every penny - approachable now but can age for 30 years - spectacular reds that will bring you back again and again.

We are wine club members here, having joined a year ago during a fantastic visit. This trip we brought friends of ours along so they could experience for themselves the wines we enjoy sharing with them at home. It was a great visit and one of the couples ended up joining, too!

Jan was a fantastic host, describing the winemaking philosophy and practices of Bell with such enthusiasm - he made our group feel like we’d made a new friend. And then he began pouring....I had to leave midway through the tasting because I was not feeling well but my husband and friends stayed and had a wonderful time. They learned a bit, laughed a lot, and really enjoyed the visit.

It was fun to bring friends to the winery whose wines we look forward to receiving via the wine club.

We consider Bell to be one of our favorites - both because of the quality of their wines and the fun, relaxed tasting experience. It’s on the outskirts of the heart of the town of Yountville making it ideally located. Especially if you’re staying in town you should plan a visit.

Visited Bell Vineyards yesterday for a basic tasting. John was our host and was a really nice guy, knowledgeable, personable, yet not in any way snooty. Brief tour was just the right length, and the tasting included most of their whites and signature reds. We've been to Napa a few times before, but were so impressed we joined the wine club!!! Thanks John, n go Saints n Raiders (I'm a Saints fan, John's a Raiders guy)

This was our first stop on our tour of Napa's wine country, and we loved our tasting experience and tour with Maggie at Bell Wine Cellars. She had incredible knowledge about wine, and we left feeling much more knowledgable and ready to tackle Napa. Signed up for their wine club and also purchased a few bottles, and we are really looking forward to receiving our first shipment.

By Lauren V |

While our first visit was lackluster due to some unusual circumstances, this visit certainly made up for it. It's clear Bell is meticulous with their wines and if you enjoy bold, interesting reds, it's definitely worth a stop.

By Michele R |

Small boutique winery and this shows in their wines. Wow. We wanted our experience to last and we became wine club members.

By Daniel D |

We booked a winery tour and tasting at Bell's Winery and Cellars for our trip.

When arrived our guide John was waiting outside for us and he made us feel like VIP's from the moment we set foot on the property. This experience was so much better than we thought it would be!

1. John was passionate, knowledgeable, and extremely personable. We felt like friends by the end of the trip!

2. The vibe of the winery was great, it puts you at ease and it's such a comfortable, tranquil, and welcoming place. It was really cool to see the different clones (like Clone 6), the barrels, and where the magic happens!

3. The wine was the best we had while visiting Napa and Yountville. Their Sauvignon Blanc was light, refreshing, buttery, and the best we had the whole trip. The Cabernet Sauvignon was out of this world!

4. Lastly, it was great learning about the history of Mr.Bell, I think it helped you make a connection with the vineyard, we couldn't wait to get home and watch decanted (They are one of the wineries on it)

Highly recommend the experience and John is the best! Make it one of your stops while in Yountville

We visited six wineries on our most recent trip to the Napa area. Of those, Bell was by far one of our favorites. The property is absolutely gorgeous! It's beautiful, relaxing, well designed, professionally run, and just a pleasure to visit. Both the building and the grounds are spectacular. The wines are outstanding, and we made a large order to be shipped to our home after our visit. The Clone wine is especially wonderful. The best part of our trip was Elise Suttie. She was assigned to be our "guide" for the day. I have personally been to the Napa area for three week-long trips in the past two years. We always experience the finest resorts, dining, and winery tours. Twice I've visited the area with a professional sommelier, and taken a private appointment-only tour of some of the best wineries in the area. Elise Suttie made our experience at Bell Wine Cellars one of the best afternoons ever. She was professional, yet fun. Informative, yet relaxed. She is incredibly bright and witty, and obviously just a "people person". She poured absolutely wonderful wines for us, and offered a selection of cheeses, as well as giving us a quick walk through the vineyard, and taking some lovely photographs of our group. She never rushed us in anyway. Her knowledge of the wines and pairings was extensive. We were blessed with a simply wonderful afternoon. The wines of Bell Wine Cellars speak for themselves because they're some of the best in the area. But having Elise as our guide for the afternoon made the trip to Bell unforgettable. If you are in the Yountville area, I highly recommend a trip to Bell, and perhaps you'll be lucky enough to get Elise for the afternoon as well.

Myles gave us a great overview of the winery at Bell. Bell winery is a reason we enjoy the smaller wineries to visit and learn their secret. Recommend stopping and asking for Myles or Darrin to give you a history of the winery.

By Raanesb |

Any wine tour is kinda fun, so it's tough to give a bad review, but overall, this was fairly unimpressive. The wine was good, but the tour wasn't super educational, and not overly fun. Thankfully, they do give you a little snack. Overall, the experience was ok... but forgettable.

By Eets1 |

Went to Bell for a tasting and loved it. The wine was outstanding and Dan, who gave us the tasting, was dynamic, friendly, and so informative. Great story teller and really made the tasting special for us! We bought a few bottles. It was great!

By Clmsongrl02 |

We took a wine tour and this was our first stop. At the end of the trip this was our favorite! Jan was phenomenal and very informative. The wine was the best I have ever had. My only regret was not buying more wine than I did! If I ever make it back out to Napa one day Bell will be top priority!

By Lauren V |

Did we even go to the same winery as the other reviewers? We scheduled a tasting appt, but the experience seemed a bit disorganized and so we were awkwardly waiting before the tasting, during the tasting, etc. The merlot was the standout for us, though I'm sure visitors will find a favorite among any of them. We don't really see any reason to return or try the wine club.

By Adam S |

I had never heard of Bell (I have been to Napa numerous times). I was very impressed with the knowledge of the employees and the time they spent explaining the different grapes and processes of the production

We even spent time in the vineyard- even the 100° heat didn't dampen the experience

The cabs are outstanding. We were fortunate enough to taste the Clone 6 - that alone makes the trip worthwhile Expensive but worth it.

I would recommend a trip to Bell

By Donna R |

First trip to Ca. and this was our first tasting. We had a private tasting with Joe. He was great and so was the wine. We bought a bottle of the red and enjoyed it later in the week. The pairing with the cheese was great too. I could get used to these visits.

We had a wonderful driver, Brian Sayles, who started our morning with a visit to Bell Wine Cellars and Vineyards. Afterwards, we compared every wine we tasted and every tour to Bell. Maggie was so friendly and knowledgeable with her pairings of cheese and wines and her background on Bell. It was the ONE and ONLY wine club we joined and our first shipment will arrive tomorrow! Fabulous wines!

By Amy L |

We had the most fantastic Grape to Glass experience with Darren! He is such an engaging educator, and his passion for wine is contagious. We learned an enormous amount about winemaking and terroir and how to properly taste. Bell makes some excellent wines, and we were so appreciative of the expertise and care with which he guided us through them. We joined the club and also took home some bottles of our favorites. Highly recommend this experience -- ask for Darren to be your host!

By Cruise Girl |

Simply Amazing. We did the grape to glass tour and it was well worth it. Yan was fun, charming, and knowledgeable. He keeps your glass full as he tells you all about the vineyard. The winery is beautiful and you start out looking and hearing about the vines. Afterwords you move inside for an incredible tasting of the most amazing wines (and cheeses). Highly recommend visiting here if you love big reds.

By Haley P |

I visited this winery with 10 friends at the end of a log day of tasting - and it was absolutely a perfect cap to the day! Our sommelier, Joe, was super knowledgable and kind and we loved him! He gave us a tour and a thorough lesson on everything we drank.

Wine was high-end and delicious.

Would highly recommend!!

By chichiSouthCarolina |

This truly was the highlight of our Napa Valley experience! We chose the Grape to Glass intimate, private, personalized, and very educational tour. This tour also included about 5-6 pours as well as a barrel tasting and cheese pairing. This is a small family run winery. We were treated like royalty! Always been a wine white drinker until we came here. They won me over with their merlot. We happened to get a 2 for 1 that made this exceptional tour a great value. Over a week, visiting 13 wineries, small and large, this was by far the one that stood out.

By kwagmeister |

My husband and I visited ont he advice of friends who are big fans of this winery. What great advice that was — we joined the wine club and also brought home a few bottles which we could not leave behind.
A visit here is best made with an appointment. That way you will be assured of a good experience. We were lucky to be with another couple who are also winemakers, so learned from them, too. We began with a sparkling wine outside on a beautiful day, followed by a Chardonnay and a visit to the vineyard. Fabulous.
Then it was inside to the barrel room which was fascinating. We never realized the importance of the barrel, its provenance, and the ‘toasting’ which adds so much to the wine. Wow.
Finally we were able to taste some exceptional reds and even sample from the barrel. Fantastic.
What a fun visit and our host could not have been nicer. John knows his stuff and his passion for wine just made the visit.
We heartily recommend a visit - and if you stay in Yountville you are just 5 minutes away. Cheers!

We were told about the winery and made a reservation for a tasting. We did not know the history of the owner and winemaker going back to 1977 in Napa and with years at Beaulieu, an early leader in Cabs. We had a 1 1/2 hour tasting with just us and one of the 16 full-time staff at the winery We sat at a table outside with view of Mt Veeder next to a table where the owner couple was having a leisurely lunch. Great wines and lots of fun.

By NWestpha |

My wife and I went with a group of six other friends. We visited six other wineries during our trip and this was far and away the best one. I learned about them from the documentary 'decanted' and was impressed with the vintner's desire for excellence with his wines. The tour was very informative, and our guide was as close to a professional camera man as you can get. Most importantly, we got to taste their delicious wines. Clone 6, enough said.

By r k |

We visited this small, boutique winery on a perfect day!! Crush was just beginning and we were part of it!! Standing on the wine pad in the back, we watched the grapes being processed and the beginning of some beautiful wines were soon to begin. Gretchen put a whole new spin on the wines, history and process of Bell. Her knowledge of the
'whys" and "wheres" was outstanding. A lot of chemistry background, but for the lay person to understand, was her forte. We walked into the vineyard, briefly to taste and see the grapes and canopy still waiting for the right time for picking. Our tasting occurred inside the cool, tasting room..it was a sultry 99 degrees outside!! Would recommend this experience, as they are interested in your learning about their wines, but not pressing for a buy. Their total wine cases are small but delightful for many a palate....

By michael f |

Went to Bell wine cellars largely based on a recommendation from another winery and the overwhelming positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We did the grape to glass “ experience “. What a disappointment! We knew something was amiss when our guide rushed us through the wine making process ( which we find interesting no matter how many times we hear it ). We were turned off by our guide disparaging the previous winemaker at the winery. I was particularly turned off by the fact that our guide was having us taste wines that she made!
Wines we tasted were okay but were waaaaaay overpriced. We bought a couple only to avoid paying the fees for this mediocre tasting experience.
Only positive I could find was that our guide allowed us to taste all the Cabs Bell winery offers.
There are so many NAPA wineries that offer better experiences at the same price point. I hope Bell winery’s new winemaker produces better wines if they want to charge $150 plus for their wines.

By Lola J |

Bell Winery is an excellent winery to visit. Maggie is phenomenal & a welcome breath of fresh air of energy. Ron who completed the sensory tasting was extremely knowledgeable. Both are the best. Best of all is we believe that Bell is one of the top wines in all of wine country. We are part of club and would highly recommend joining and visiting. Anthony and Sandra Bell are such wonderful people.

By dolamroth |

We were referred here and it turned out to be the best winery we visited. Great people and good wine.

By Shane M |

My wife and I wanted to express our gratitude for the hospitality shown us on Saturday. From Jan greeting us curbside, to the amazing tasting Gretchen have us, we truly were in awe. We continually revisit this experience over and over again. And, of course, the wine was great. The Chardonnay was arguably the best wine we had on our trip. Thanks again for giving two lovebird parents a taste of paradise.

I visited Bell Wine Cellars with friends as a part of our limo vineyard tour, and it was the best! Our guide was immensely knowledgeable and so sweet. I lived in the Bay area for a couple of years in the 1980's and have visited many times since, and of all of the vineyard tours I have ever taken, this was the best. I learned so much about the process. We tasted numerous wines, including the award winning Port, and I got to taste the (also award winning) sparkling wine - both were outstanding. Go - you will love it!

We recently had some time in the NAPA Valley to enjoy some wine and learn about wine making. There are a number of very prominent wineries and some smaller wineries. Bells is a smaller winery but very well done and the wine is excellent. Our hostess was Maggie who was wonderful. We pressed her on some of the technical aspects of the production and she was very helpful and witty in her responses. The tasting area was very enjoyable and comfortable. A great choice of a winery to visit, call ahead and ask for Maggie!

We visited Bell winery with Napa bike tours which for us was the perfect way to go wine tasting as we were new to Napa and wanted to visit some winery gems rather than just the giant commercial brands.

The cycle company provided a light lunch that we enjoyed whilst tasting their fabulous wines on their beautiful patio. We loved Bell winery and their fantastic wine. We were hosted by John who made our visit very special and informative.

A big thank you for making the extra effort for our Birthday celebration :-)

On a tour of CA, my fiance and I made this our first stop on our Napa Day -- and we would recommend it 100 times over. As 20-somethings who know that our wine tastes have evolved to the $10-$20 grocery store range, but little else, we were a little worried about finding pretentious wine snobs who would turn up their noses at our lack of wine education. We could not have been more wrong (and happy about it!) When we arrived at 11:30am, we were taken out to the show vineyards with a pre-tasting taste of white wine! Our host was amazing -- he answered all of our questions, showed us the vines, and taught us a LOT. When we went back inside for our tasting, everyone was friendly, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable. Out of all the wine we sampled here, we enjoyed almost all of it, and ended up shipping 6 bottles home. If you're trying to decide where to go in Napa -- stop here! You won't regret it!

By ArkieFoodie |

We went here based on a recommendation in an article in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. It is a very small winery with small production. Our host was knowledgeable and entertaining. Both the tasting and the wines are expensive -- in fact, some of the most expensive wines we tasted at the 30 wineries we visited on this trip. But we enjoyed them immensely, and we ended up buying a $150 bottle of cabernet (and that was not the most expensive one we tasted!). The tasting fee is $40 per person, and reservations are recommended.

As an Irish descendant, what better way to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day than visiting a winery. This was our first wine visit. It also was a morning tasting. As our first visit we probably spent as much time here learning about the wine process. As we went on they all seemed to be the same, so it is the grape, blend and the barrel that makes the difference. I really enjoyed the wines here and we split a case with friends to ship back home. I will say that the setting, as someone else said was in the process of remodel, was not as nice as others. However, that did not effect the taste or the expertise of the guide. Again we enjoyed, but there were better settings.

Bell worked at BV for many years and did huge amounts of research and work on what are called the 'clones'. Wine Geek Talk for the natural mutations that take place with vines producing new varieties. He knows how to grow great grapes and it shows in the wines. The tasting is in the winery surrounded by tanks and its a great experience. We have a good video of it on the Amicis Tours site and you can also find it in the Napa Valley Wine Tour iPhone app from Sutro Media. Everytime I've been here my guests have loved the experience.

By RnR101 |

Had a fun, informative tasting. We love their wines.

By Andrew H |

We scheduled the Grape to Glass tour and tasting during our recent visit. One other reviewer wrote that they were not well received without an appointment. Well, duh. Bell is small and family owned. They do not have extra employees hanging out waiting for walk ins. Make an appointment. It is well worth it. Our group is partial to reds and Cabs in particular. However we all agreed that the Chardonnay was the best we had all week. I am not a big fan of Syrahs but loved this one. The Cab Reserve was excellent. Easily worth the $95 price tag. But the Clone 6 is in its own class. At $200 it is not overpriced, albeit for special occasions only if you have a budget. Best tour and tasting in the valley. Make an appointment.

By Marcus S |

I did read about Bell winery on TripAdvisor, so I planned to pass by on the way bay of our bicycle tour. Sorry that i missed the small print on "by appointment only" but we were welcomed by a very friendly staff and also met a German country man who did an outstanding job of introducing us to the winery and did a perfect explanation on the different wines. Highly recommend to visit this place ( please make an appointment upfront). The winery , the staff and especially the outstanding wines are worth it!!! thanks for having us 👍

My husband and I visited on a Monday in September and had a wonderful time. Darren was our guide, and he was fantastic! He took time to take us outside to taste grapes and customized our tasting based on our affinity for cabs. We’ve been to Napa 5 times and this was definitely one of our best experiences. The wine is incredible... we bought one bottle to take home with us, but I’m sure we’ll end up ordering more. Their cabs are pricey but worth it!

Among the wineries we toured while visiting Napa, this was by far the absolute best. Missing Bell would have made our trip, average. The wines were outstanding---which does not seem to be complementary enough. Plan for an exceptional experience. Victoria, ever so welcoming, gave us a window into a world of elegant artistry that could only be created by a craftsman/family with a true love of wine. We look forward to enjoying these wines in our home & among friends. So pleased Anthony Bell's gifts (& tremendous diligence) could be shared through such lovely wines.

This would be a great way to start a trip in Napa. We got a very intimate tour of the facility, and overview of how the wine itself is produced and then got to learn more about the winery and the area from our tour leader Scott. There were only two of us and he spent 90% of our time at the winery with us, answering all our questions. It is a great small scale facility to add to your trip

By GoHawksAnkenyIowa |

Darin was our guide and it was only the two of us with him. He did an outstanding job telling us about the history of the winery and taking us through the flights of wines. We were impressed with each of the wines we tasted and the platter of cheese that was part of the tasting.

He brought us to the barrel room and we learned about the barrels. We had a tasting out of the barrels. We walked out to the vineyard and tasted some grapes.

Overall we were there about 1 1/2 hours and learned a lot about wine and the process of making it. The wine we tasted was outstanding.

By Valorie B |

This winery specializes in “artisanal” wines and was my favorite in a day of tastings for a couple different reasons. First because our wine host, Elise, was a true joy and understood that we love to learn about the wines besides just drinking them. Second, because the tasting included cheese! So we got to learn about new cheeses, which we also love, along with the wines. We started by taking a look at the vineyard and seeing how the new growth was occurring, along with taking some pictures. Then we moved into the tasting room that is really beautiful done and has sliding glass doors that face the barrel room. The room is obviously custom done and has an elegant feeling without being stuffy. We loved the wines and ended up buying a case. I also bought a decanter that was hand-blown by a local artist, as it matches a set of glasses I got years ago. The highlight of the day was getting to do a barrel tasting, which is something I have always wanted to do. Highly recommend doing a tasting here and ask if Elise is available.

wonderful wines. great cheese and wine pairings. they have fantasic cabs, and petit syrah. again, orderd 3 cases what more do I have to say. will get more in the future

By Lynn H |

We spent five days going to many wineries. Our car service recommended that we go to this small boutique winery, and we are so glad we did. Elise did a fantastic job of teaching us about the wine making process, toured us around herself, and even took us into the vineyard to take a first hand look at it. It was wonderful. We then had a wine tasting paired with heavenly cheese. The wines here are outstanding. After five days of wineries, their wine really stood out. I highly recommend including a stop to Bell to your plans.

John was an amazing host - knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. We had such a great time at Bell Wine Cellars and the grounds were incredibly picturesque!

By Brett L |

This smaller winery is outstanding. Great wine tasting with knowledgeable staff. Wine is not cheap but is amazing. Totally worth checking it out. All wines are top notch. Would definitely come back here.

By Daniel P |

Bell Wine Cellars is a nice hidden spot in Yountville, the epicenter of Napa Valley wine and food culture. They make excellent wine and the tour of the operations is a great chance to ask questions about the process and their own approach to wine making. It is well worth a visit before your French Laundry dinner or after your Ad Hoc brunch.

By Jamie A |

My husband came to Napa on our honeymoon and we visited Bell and did the Wine and cheese pairing. Melanie was our host and she was absolutely incredible! I felt like we were all best buddies by the end of the tour. She was very knowledgeable but also very friendly and patient with us as we asked questions. The wines here are incredible and the tasting fees are waived if you purchase a bottle, which we did of course! I thought that was a lot considering we had the cheese to go along with it. The grounds are beautiful, we definitely could of stayed longer and will return to Bell when we visit Napa again. Thanks Melanie for a wonderful time!

By 1GiantsMSo |

We had a small tasting for a group that was hosted by Maggie Smith and she was fantastic. The wine choices were superb and the cheese pairings added to our enjoyment. The tasting room is casual (set among wine barrels) and a perfect setting for enjoying Maggie's information about the winery and the wines. It is very convenient to Hwy 29 and the Vintage 1870 exit. Be sure to get information about the Clone 6 wine.

Our favorite in the valley!! Jan is a great host. Lots of energy and a great passion for wine. Anthony Bell has done an absolutely amazing job over the years in his pursuit of great wine. I highly recommend Bell!!

By MamademAr |

Great tour and tasting! Even got to eat the grapes! Nice selection of wines! Got to see the process of winemaking from the grape crushing to the vats, then stored in the barrels!

We loved the eccentric and knowledgeable tasting guide, the peaceful setting among the vines and most of all the wines which packed a punch!

Since Lucille Ball stomped grapes 40 years ago I've wanted to give that a try. What a wonderful event. Hopefully, you can go next year. The wine and foods were excellent. The band played fantastic music and the grape stomping was a hoot! A great value. Fantastic wines. What a wonderful day.

We visited Napa for a quick day tour in September 2013. Our tour driver took us to Bell for the intimate setting and friendly people. We were greeted by Amanda who gave us a tour and answered our questions about the wine making process. She was so sweet!! We then moved on to tasting. All the wines were good, but the Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 was our favorite!! I loved it so much I joined the wine club. This place is definitely worth a stop while visiting Napa Valley!

By Tracey O |

Darren was our host. He was very informative about the Vineyard, the area and the wine itself. Beautiful afternoon with beautiful scenery

By Pansy Hughes |

What a great wine tasting experience! I took the recommendation to visit from a friend who is a Bell Wine Cellars club member and most definitely did not regret it! Rob greeted us upon arrival with a taste of Sauvignon Blanc for us to enjoy as we toured the wine making processes before being seated for a tasting experience that definitely pleased our pallets. It’s a small batch winery offering selections that you won’t find in stores so I recommend you join their wine club if you want to enjoy them at home. Their indoor tasting rooms are being remodeled but we enjoyed our tasting under the wisteria vines of the patio area offering great views of the property.
