We went to Amalie Arena for many concerts and sporting events. The arena is easy to get in and out of. The people working there are very friendly. The sound is good for the concerts. We have always sat at the side of the stage and love those seats. Parking in the Garage was easy to get in and out of. You should arrive a little early to get parking in that garage. Parkside Grill if fab for a gourmet but buffet dinner.

Went to a hockey game and seat was in the upper 300's section. The pitch to get to my seat was very steep and I had an issue standing up in my row because I felt that I was falling forward. If you have vertigo or have an issue with heights this section may not be for you. In addition, because of the pitch, the heads of the people in the row in front of you will obstruct the ice/court.stage (see picture). There are plenty of restrooms so no wait. We parked a 10 minute walk away so we would not have the backup getting out of the garage after the game. The nearest garage fills up early.
Construction is the area continues. $16 for a beer so we did not have any food or drink inside the arena.

I took my daughter to see the Tampa Bay Lightning play the Montreal Canadiens on Jan 2, 2020. We had seats in section 115 Row V. Great seats watching the game. Seats are not designed to sit for a long time, somewhat cramped. And when people need to get past you to their seats, even with standing up, there's barely room for them to get through. I would not feel comfortable sitting in these kind of seats if I was up in the third tier (cheap seats).

Great parking facilities & security surrounding this arena. I was struck by how immaculately clean & modern this place was.

I've attended 55 Eric Church concerts at venues across the country the last three years and Amalie Arena earns the award for worst experience EVER. Signs were unclear about which lines we should stand in. A friend asked an usher and because we were on the floor, sent us to a particular line. We were in line for like 30 minutes (and at the front, finally) when they said they had a "medical emergency" told us we had to get in another line, and abruptly closed the doors. We went to line right next to it and when we got near the front, a security guard came yelling that no one could be in that line unless they needed a wheelchair and elevator. (Mind you, we were in that line for quite awhile as well). We finally got in yet another line and made it through the doors. Once inside, we asked where we needed to go at the guest services area. She looked at our tickets (floor seats) and looked lost. Said she wasn't sure. That if we were in the Pit (GA) we needed wristbands. That she thought we needed wristbands to get on the floor. But she wasn't sure. So we go get in yet another line (literally hundreds in line) and wait ... finally, I went down to an entrance and asked another usher who told me that if we had floor seats we did not need wristbands. All told? We arrived at the venue at 7:25 and finally got to our seats at 9;05 pm. (Anyone who knows anything about Eric Church knows he doesn't start until 9 even if show start time is 8 ... he started RIGHT as we got to our seats. So I can't comment on concessions or bathroom lines b/c we didn't have time to check anything else out.

A total mess. The best venue ever? KFC Yum in Louisville. If only everyone could just ask them what their practices are.

I won't attend an event at Amalie again.

Amalie Arena has been my favorite place to go to when there is a specific concert that’s comes to the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This time it was for a Lightning game against the Montreal Canadiens at the beginning of April. The same great service that my mom and I have experienced for a concert or performance, we got the same great customer service during the lighting game.

Amalie has a wonderful fan experience. We love attending the Tampa Bay Lightning games a few times a year.

Went with family . 10 of us altogether. We had an amazing time !! We had great seats and Disturbed really put on a good show. In this moment was also there but honestly... i wouldn't watch her again for free. This has been my favorite Arena so far. Beer is very expensive...i think we paid around 16 a beer. The sound quality and set up make every seat a good one. Easy in and out also. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The river walk is sooo much fun .We walked it all the way back to our hotel. Perfect trip.

The arena is awesome !!! We had great seats and had the best time!!! Lots of bathrooms, drinks and snack bars!! The draft beer was cold and delicious. The seats were easy to find and staff was more than helpful!! A trip to remember.

Exciting seeing the hockey game high activity hockey is it should be played, lots of roughness. Plenty of great competition in winning the game.

I love this arena. Every time I go to see my favorite hockey team, the Lightning I'm impressed with the service, cleanliness, and viewing area.

By mountain175 |

Great hockey arena loved the Tesla coils which shoot simulated when the Bolts as the lightening are known score a goal which unfortunately for the N.Y. Islanders was too often. Bottled water large bottle only 4.75 a bargain by New York standards and restrooms were very CLEAN.

By Hackmaster |

The 4 star review is for the venue, NOT the concert! The venue was pretty good, but it had the most expensive drinks that I have ever seen. EVER. Wow.

By Bob R |

When your sitting on the other side of the rink it's still hard to see the group.
Sound system ok but difficult to make the words if you didn't know the music.

The Amalie Arena on Channelside Drive in Tampa is a great event space for sports, music, and much more. I really like the location and atmosphere of the arena and how well it is managed. It is easy to get in and out and navigate everything even at full capacity. I have enjoyed all of the events I have been here for.

By Barry D. E |

While security is always important the arena MUST do better with their screening. Only about 10,000 were at this event, doors opened early, (someone made a good call), yet the show was delayed with hundreds waiting outside to be screened. Our scanner was set so low, the person manning it called a supervisor because EVERYONE was setting it off. I had only a dress belt with small buckle and my wife only undergarments and we both set it off. It was so ridiculous the security person with the wand told us to go ahead without further checking. At our doors, one of many entry points 90 minutes after opening hundreds were still in line at our door alone. The arena needs to get way better at making the event secure in a much more efficient manner. You pay a lot and deserve to see the full show and not be so inconvenienced. This wasn’t the first time the arena was doing this and to be so poor at doing it was inexcusable. Be the first in line or take your chances.

By Barbara D |

It is a lovely arena. The people were very friendly and helpful. Seating in the suites was nice. The cost of food ordered in the suites ran high, but outside the vendors had a lot to offer at more reasonable prices. Noise level high!

Came here with my wife and some family to experience our first ever NHL hockey game! And wow what a fun and entertaining evening! The atmosphere was electric!! A good win for Tampa Bay Lightning too to top things off!!

By Confidence City |

Beautiful building but dangerous floor due to it being very slippery. The staff told us it was due to the ice but there was also some cord connections and it was easy to miss step so focused. We were to entered at 4pm so we arrived at 3:15pm....they were still setting up outside and we couldn't even get in to use the bathroom until after 4. I do want to appreciate Lois, Augie, and Jack who were great and so helpful with our disabled family members.

By Boutip |

Nice state of the art arena located on downtown area. Loads of food and drink options. Nice areas outside for pregame partying.

By Danielle |

Such a fun hockey game being played at the Amalie Arena! I liked how people were seated at least 3 feet apart from each other. Cold arena so it is advisable to bring a comfortable sweater. Beautiful scenery with the trolley cars on the streets. Parking was a breeze. An excellent time!

By Nicole T |

I don't like huge crowds anymore. The Amalie is the perfect size and there are always always great entertainers coming there to perform. We've seen Paul McCartney and recently Blake Shelton. WONDERFUL. Every seat is great.

By Michael N |

Ruined jimmy buffet show. They will lie to sell you seats, very disappointed with their operations. BE CAREFULL OF YOUR SEAT BENEFITS!

By Hue G |

Awesome venue for a variety of sports and entertainment. Comfortable seats. Lots of nice places to nearby and plenty of good restaurants too.

By Marlon L |

Great place, awesome very clean, one of my favorite arenas. Looks beautiful at night. Had a great time

Easy in and Easy out this Arena has all the amenities and plenty to keep you entertained close by!
We have always had a great time when ever we have attended an event.

By Laura P |

Not a bad seat in the house. Been to several concerts. In an area of town that you can do so much before you go to any event they have. Need to see a hockey game next!!!

By G2655BWgaryk |

A fantastic place to watch a hockey game or a concert. Pldenty of parking around the arena. The food and drink selections are great.

By DanNorway |

Family of 4 (two teenagers) watched TML VS NYR 28th of December. Tampa won 6-2👍🏻🏒 We arrived at the arena proximity 3 hours before game and had the time to shop TBL merchandise, eat, watch the show, supporters and enjoy the live music and some beers 🍻 The atmosphere and shows before and during the game was fantastic. We really had a good time, 6 out of 6 😀 Only negative was the ticket prices that was high.

Love the Amelie arena, and love to go see the Lightning here. Beautiful plaza out in front, always some events going on outside, before the events inside. Don't know if there is a secret handicap entrance from the plaza. Lots of stairs to climb. wide and beautiful, but many stairs. Elevators and stairs to the various levels. Very steep stairs in the upper levels. If you are young, healthy and atheletic, you'll love it. Lots of food vendors. Every seat has a great view. That's the best part!

By carlos v |

It's the worst experience I ve had in my life, we bought a few tickest to see the Andrea Bocelli concert and when we got to the event this stadium made arrangements and pulled some of the chairs back then several people we bought tickets to were unseated they didn't warn people that they could make changes. We bought tickets 3 months earlier and at the last minute they made the decision to withdraw a section without letting the buyers know. They don't respect the time that people took to go to the event. They also have a manager who has no experience. I don't recommend you buy tickets for any event. A lot of people say that they do this all the time

By Michelle R |

Attended a Tampa Bay/Vegas hockey game, first time to this arena, great experience. We had an easy time parking and walking to the arena, entry was fine, arena was clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our seats were in 316 section, about as tight as other arenas. Seats gave good view. Food was good. Would attend again.

By A T |

Getting into the arena had us going through two metal detectors and a bag scanner. There were people at the top of each set of stairs directing fans to their seats.

There was not much leg room but the seats did have cup holders. No vendors came down the stairs selling drinks or snacks so people had to fend for themselves.

The scoreboard did not show as much information as some arenas’ boards do. No players’ names or stats could be seen.

By Deanna K |

Attending women’s NCAA Final Four and Title Game.
Restrooms pretty clean.
Arena personnel helpful and friendly.
Stupid rule: No fountain drinks and you cannot keep the cap on your bottle drink.
Additionally, I have a gash in my knee from the cup holders that are directly in front of ones knees with no room between. It is near impossible to stand up without hitting it. Other than that seats are comfortable.
There is lots of construction directly around the arena.

I had a great time at Amalie Arena. Hubby and I flew out to Florida for the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game, and our experience as visiting fans was very positive. We were welcomed by many fans, engaged in fun banter with others, and were harrassed by none. I want to thank all the local fans for being so kind and welcoming!

The arena is located smack-dab in downtown Tampa, meaning traffic and parking is a nightmare. Leave super early before game time to make sure you can find a place to park and get in the arena before puck drop! We were driving from Orlando, and had no idea what to do when we arrived. Luckily, we noticed two Lightning fans in the car next to us at a stoplight, and got their attention and asked them where to park. The guy recommended the Embassy Suites, which had $20 valet parking (cash only). We followed him to the garage and it was super easy in and out, and a short walk that was only a few blocks from the arena.

Getting inside was also efficient and fast. There are security lines with metal detectors and bag searches, and the mobile ticketing makes it easy to keep track of your tickets. Once inside, the arena felt a little dated, but the concourse was well laid out and spacious with tons of food options.

I had splurged on 5th row seats behind the VGK team bench, right by the team tunnel. I was hoping to get some fist bumps, but the arena left a large tarp and overhang that they pulled out whenever the team walked by. What a bummer. It was removed during game play, so no worries that your view will be blocked when the action is taking place.

I was in early to watch the pre-game warmups, which is always fun. The glass here is super clear, it looks brand new. I'm used to scuffed glass, but it was almost crystal clear. The jumbotron is HUGE and has amazing clarity. I wish every hockey barn had a jumbotron like Amalie Arena! The seats were roomy and comfortable, but we were in the "high dollar" lower bowl seats.

The in-game entertainment was okay, but pales in comparison to my home team's arena. We also noticed the local fans were really quiet until about the last 10 minutes of the third period when it was clear their team was going to win. Not a lot of cheering until then, which is something we aren't used to.

I did enjoy their mascot Thunder Bug, so cute and happy to pose for photos with opposing fans. And there's a Tesla Coil in the rafters that MAKES REAL LIGHTNING STRIKES to start each period. It is SO COOL to see indoor lightning!

All in all, this is a friendly, fun arena to see a hockey game as a fan of the visiting team.

This is a nice venue that is very clean and easy to get too. We were able to park right across the street and walk over. The entrance lines moved very quickly and they had plenty of people around to guide you to your seat area. The food and beverage lines moved very quickly and they offered a good selection of food and drink both beer and liquor. The restrooms were very clean and everything worked. The seats were a cramped and we were happy that no one sat next to us so we could stretch out our legs during the show.

By A C |

I wouldn't give them anything less than a five. I did not see any room for improvement. That's not to say that there is no room for improvement, however for the guests to not be at a want or a need for anything or to have to seek out someone for assistance was never a thought. There was always somebody there.

By Averagejoe001 |

Attended a concert here at this fine arena. Clean. Friendly staff. Easy to navigate. Plenty of what you need for souvenirs and food and restrooms. A few negatives for the venue are the very tight space between the rows and that beverages are very pricey. The big warning to everyone at this point in time is regarding the very difficult parking situation. This is not the fault of the venue but the city of Tampa which has so much construction around the immediate area that many of the usual places to park are blocked or torn up and the traffic flow is a mess compared to usual here. Add a bunch of time prior to your event even if you have prepaid parking.

By Jackie Y |

The Amalie Arena is beautiful, clean, and well-lit. Plenty of places inside to eat before and during the hockey games. Staff are polite.

By Dave M |

This is an arena so not much you can say. The seats were comfortable. Plenty of restrooms. Lots of food choices, all pricey.

By Matthew |

Great for concerts and hockey games. The club section for concerts is very under valued. Great comfy seats and less crowded bars.

By CBArnold |

Amalie Arena is a nice, clean venue in Tampa, Florida. The Arena has good, close parking, plentiful restrooms and a nice staff at the facility. Seats are comfy. Food and drinks were very pricy and extremely average at best.

We live in Homosassa and have been here seven years
we have never been to a concert here before
we went to the MercyMe and Crowder concert this past Sunday night
this arena is awesome the sounds awesome the crowd control the security everything go thing was awesome

On our visit to Florida we had to come and see the Tampa Bay Lightening play ice hockey. We had a great time and they won! A must visit!

By P W |

We scored tickets from a reseller out front and ended up with great seats just at the top if the lower bowl at centre ice fro 115@. Fairly easy and quick access to the arena Huge 24 oz beers to go in the free Xl cozy. No glass obstruction and great view of the ice. A great evening as the Lightening beat the Coyotes 4-1, clinched the Presidents trophy for first place and Stamkos took the franchise all time goals leader

By Kathie S |

Never had a bad seat, never went hungry or thirsty, never had a problem finding parking, never had trouble finding a seat and have always had a great time

By Megan K |

The concessions are fresh food, not your typical arena food. The arena was clean. The volunteer ushers are very helpful.

By Richard M |

One of the nicest arenas to watch professional hockey. Clean and fan friendly for all ages. Not a bad seat in the house.

By Dee M |

So disappointed, I thought this would be a Christmas show with updated technology. It was like seeing a heavy metal band in 1985. The jumbotron was not on so you couldn't see from the 3rd floor. And Amalie is horrible seats are so tight and uncomfortable, water is $5 and small popcorn $7.

By JStatler71 |

Went for a Lightning game and really enjoyed it. Please is convenient, but of course you have to pay. We had seats all the way at the top - you could not get further from the ice. Still, we had a great view of all the action, with the scoreboard blocking just a bit of the far goal. It is incredibly loud in the arena, particularly when the game is not actually happening (they stop the music and loud sound effects when hockey is actually being played). I brought ear plugs and that made it tolerable. There are plenty of options as far as food and drink, but bring a lot of cash. A beer is about $18! We parked at the arena, walked down to the Columbia Cafe and had dinner (very nice) and then walked back to take in the game (thereby avoiding going broke paying for food in the arena). Overall a very fun night.

By R. Traveler |

We caught a lightning game and really enjoyed the arena. Some areas were not easily accessed without taking multiple flights of stairs - and there was a lot of construction around the arena .... but the arena itself was clean, accommodating and the staff very friendly.

Seats were upper bowl but still a good view.

By Janna64 |

This is where The Lightning play hockey so if you like hockey you should go see they play in person. The seats are comfortable and good views of the ice. It is a bit expensive but it is live and fun. I've also been here for concerts. They do a good job with music here. The price varies with who is playing but each time I have gone the music has been great. I do wish they had more and better parking

By Bob |

Excellent venue for the hockey game. Beer is $$$$$$. Special activities for Christmas crowd. Parking is good

This review is mostly for those who intend to use the ADA facilities. As a hockey arena this place is fabulous, fun, perfect. As a concert venue, it’s way better than it used to be for sound following renovations made by the RNC Convention. I recently attended the Andrea Bocelli concert with my elderly (87) FIL, and his nurse. My first and best advice is to come WAY earlier than you think you need to and if possible bring your own wheelchair if you need one. The concert started over a half hour late because the audience wasn’t settled. The most helpful usher who pushed my FIL said it wouldn’t start until the arena was 80% or more full. So, there’s a drop off ADA area off Channelside Dr. but NO ADA parking onsite. Closest ADA parking is the Pam Iorio garage across the street. So someone has to drop you off, go park, you wait for them because now everyone’s ticket is on someone’s phone. That night we were told that they have 12 wheelchairs but had 60 requests. Clearly a Bocelli concert audience skews older but this could happen anytime . The ushers are great and kept hustling until everyone was helped. Once you get a wheelchair & an usher, you have to get in the line for the ADA entrance on the ground/ plaza level. It moved very slowly - could’ve been better staffed. We did get to our seats on the floor with about 10 minutes to spare. The usher also politely redirected the 3 ladies that were in our seats. After the concert, you have to ask an usher to radio someone for you to get a wheelchair and wait your turn. It’s all first come, first serve. There’s no reservation system. This is where having your own would save considerable time. Then there was a line for the one ADA elevator. I decided to hire a car service to avoid having to park after dropping them off. That worked out very well - it was pricey for sure, but much more convenient. However, on our way there, as we were stuck in Arena traffic trying to get to the ADA drop off, our driver tells me that usually Channelside Dr is closed off post events to car traffic by TPD to allow all the pedestrians leaving the arena to get out. So he’s saying he’s not going to be able to pick us up in the same (ADA) spot and he’ll be right across the street. Keep this in mind if someone is driving you or if using Uber or another car service. But by the time we got the wheelchair for my FIL, the elevator line was gone and the ADA drop off zone was open - the one bonus for waiting, I guess. The staff / ushers couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. One of the ushers mentioned that while it isn’t advertised so to speak, they will push someone to the ADA Parking in the PI garage across the street. The arena needs to make some tweaks to better serve the ADA community - adding additional wheelchairs would be a good start. Nearby / onsite ADA parking would be great!

By DawnC822 |

We had an awesome tour of the arena - from the Zamboni area to the press box. It lasted about 90 minutes and took you to various viewing points in the arena. We even were able to have our pictures taken on the Zamboni and at the entrance to the ice. Best of all, it was only $20.

By DCRover |

First time at a Monster Truck Jam. It was incredibly fun! Amelie Arena was a great venue, since it is indoors out of the heat (hosting NHL) and is smaller than the outdoors Raymond James Stadium (NFL). We decided to go the day before, so our tickets were in the ‘cheap seats’ in the highest section. Seats were still great with excellent view of all the events, and the Jumbotron hanging above in the center. It would have been different in the huge, hot outdoor football stadium. There are many parking lots around, so that is not a problem. Concessions are few and far between and of course crazy expensive, so just eat before you go. It was non-stop action with different competitions, so really kept all the kids excited. Will definitely go again.

By JordanS8 |

I have been here for hockey and for concerts and I cannot say enough good about it.
Coming from the poorly designed and overcrowded stadiums in Chicago, this place is ideal. Parking to seat is a snap.
Food availability is convenient, seats are comfy, lines of sight are excellent.
We went to see Paul Simon in concert and the sound was great. I had been there previously for Michael Buble’. I will be there again.

By SarasotaandWarm |

Always a fun time. Family orientated . Parking can tend to be a problem unless you have a parking pass in the garage. Lots of traffic but moves well

By TonynTonya |

We went here to do the Bob Seger (and the silver bullet band) concert. When we purchased our tickets back in January, the Amalie lots were already sold out, so we reserved parking through parking panda in the 11 lot a few blocks away. It was a 5 minute or less walk.

Unlike other venues, they opened doors early so we went on in got a drink and went to our seats in the a/c... Seats were a little close but comfortable. We had an awesome view of stage in section 130-D.

The only reason I didn't give the venue 5 stars is the concessions are way too pricey. 17.50 a beer? Food was pricey too, we opted to eat after the concert. Entire facility was very clean.

After the show, us being parked over 3 blocks made getting out a breeze, driving away from stadium. This was the easiest concert to get in and out of we've been to.

And Seger (at 73) rocked the house! No regrets.

By khouse11 |

This venue is pretty entertaining, very modern and has an up to date appearance. Has plenty of good food vendors, as well as plenty of beer/alchohol vendors. They have a Lexus lounge (at the bottom 1st floor), and a Budweiser deck that is located at the top, with an outside view of the downtown skyline. Great location with plenty of places being reconstructed, for new entertainment purposes around it. Channelside is in walking distance and has lots of entertainment and restaurants as well. This is where cruise ships port. Traffic usually flows well before and after events, with plenty of staff and people controlling traffic. Various parking areas all around. This place usually host NCAA Women Final Fours, NCAA men's basketball regionals, home of the NHL Tampa Lightning, Arena football, Shows, Concerts, Cirque Soleil, and Graduations. It can hold up to 21K+, depending on the venue. One of my favorite arena's I've visited, out of 20.

By Jason |

Went here with friends to see the Rays game. This is an awesome arena and very entertaining. I recommended this arena for any venue that is presenting.

By Eric B |

Do not sit in the 300 seats at Amelia arena! Extremely dangerous with no staff support. This is so steep and precarious it defies that it is legal in design. Those that have any fear of heights… just don’t. Those that don’t have fear of heights that’s fine… but it’s without a doubt the most unsafe environment I have ever witnessed!!! See for yourself!! NOT ENJOYABLE in that section. Been to lots of sporting events in cheap seats because everything is so expensive.. but I don’t want to fear for my safety at an event.

By P5_Crazy_Train |

Having never been to the Amalie for a concert before, we had no idea if our tickets would be any good, so I rolled the dice. In a word: AWESOME! This is one of the best arenas—if not THE best—to see a big concert. Our seats were better than I could’ve hoped for, and my daughter’s birthday present (and first arena concert) was a huge success! We saw Panic at the Disco! and it was a fabulous show. The sound was perfect, the setup was ideal. The Amalie staff was courteous and professional at the entrances and concessions. I felt like it was a safe and fun environment for my teenage daughter. We loved every minute!

By Bree A |

Love the outdoor area on the top floor especially. Right on the water shows what Tampa Bay is all about!

By Bryan A |

Was once a kid, and saw a show here of the Rod Stewart tour in 1997.

Was terrific and would love to see him live again.

The curtain fell down and it was a special moment.

Bravo Mr. Stewart!

Always enjoy watching my Leafs play hockey...We go to at least one Tampa/leafs game every year...Great atmosphere...Tampa fans are passionate and also friendly...The arena is very nice...great seating...Will be back again...GO LEAFS GO!!!

Visited as Scottish tourists to see Tampa Bay Lightning. The atmosphere WOW. The facilities and cleanliness - great. Seats were comfy. Cost of food and drink EXTORTIONATE. $16 for a large can of beer/alcohol soda. Don't expect to park close for less than $25.

By ROSE D |

I went to see Madonna's concert, the experience was incredible, beautiful Tampa and the Arena everything organized, beautiful clean bathrooms

By Steady2015 |

Brought tickets for a Tampa Bay Lightings hockey game for my brother and I, his first hockey game! And what a night it was! The Arena was very nice, just a short walk from our hotel. It was easy to navigate once we went in. Plenty of concession stands with plenty to choose from! We had very good seats which were only three rows from the glass. Much action and plenty of fans. Only down fall was being so close that we couldn’t see the whole rink, so we had to rely on the big screen. All and all it was a great time!

By reise3 |

Had floor seats at a recent concert. Everything was convenient except an unexpected parking mishap. We prepaid for parking through Ticketmaster & never received the mobile pass via email. However, we circled the block while we downloaded the Park Whiz app & were able to access our parking pass that way.

By cableguy4642 |

My first time here.
Went to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Canadians, both in scores and the scuffles on the ice. Good family fun for us and took a picture from our seats so you can see the view. it did cost us about $580 for the five seats( we booked last minute) and the food and drink at the arena were the usual high prices. Parking is on the surrounding streets and a bit hit or miss but the boys new of a good spot only 5 minute walk $25 to park. The arena is very nice, good seats but not much leg room. A good selection of consession stands. The staff were very friendly and helpful, bathrooms good. A good evening out if a little expensive would certainly go again to watch the lighting play

By Tim D |

We were attending a Tampa Bay Lightning game back in March against the Florida Panthers. Awesome venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Great sports building. Lightning won in overtime too!

By Aileen E |

Went to see Barry Manilow and it was the best concert. Amalie was easy to access and enter not to mention getting out. The Tampa police kept traffic moving smoothly. The only thing was $6.75 for a 16oz bottle of Sprite was a little ridiculous.

By lily429 |

We started December 2019 by going to the Jingle Ball...drove up from Jensen Beach to see Sam Smith, Lizzo and Normani. This arena was great, smaller than most, clean, and well organized. The cost of beer was shocking, maybe I am out of touch and it is the norm but I don't remember paying almost $20 for a draught beer at our arenas back home. We did however enjoy the show! Definitely keeping this place in mind for other concerts in the future.

By TartanWanderer |

We came here to see a Tampa Bolts ice hockey game. A lot of fun but not a cheap night out!

Mid level tickets cost more than £100 per person. A beer at the event (which you are obliged to tip 20%) cost about £13.

The place itself is easy to get to on foot. Security and police were helpful and friendly. Clean toilets.

So if you have deep pockets it is fine. I probably would not come back.

By Luann D |

The food is outrageous. $17 for a cheeseburger and fries.
The seats are tight and not that comfortable.

By Christian Soehring |

Parked outside in a 3P lot (lots of parking options nearby).
Attended Kiss concert.
All very well organized.
Clean bathrooms, lots of concessions (high prices). Wifi throughout the arena.
Excelent A/C, sound, seats.

By Elmtree3610 |

Great venue. We were there for Joyce Meyer’s Women’s Conference. Water was $4.75/bottle. Ridiculous. Would go back to the venue.

Built as a hockey venue, it serves its function perfectly: excellent site lines, no bad seats. And plenty of comfortable concessions and seating away from and near the action. HOWEVER, this is not the place for a concert. Its acoustics are non-existent. Its surfaces reflect sounds and create a perfectly-defined environment of noise, reverb, echo---auditory mush. Reviewers are not dishonest, though: I've regularly read of people "seeing" Bruce Springsteen here, "seeing" Jimmy Buffett here, etc. No one--with all legitimacy--has ever claimed to "hear" any of them!

Saw Springsteens concert last night here.
There were plenty of ushers to help guide us and plenty of kiosks to get drinks - expensive of course - beer 16.25 , mixed drink 21 I believe , water 5. Lots of food offerings. We had Chase Club seats and I tried to look up if there were options … but only say hockey extras .
Early on there was also an option to buy tickets 100+ for a buffet with drinks . Actually the Chase club had its own food and bars ( with chairs) much more relaxed atmosphere. We had already eaten standing up by then - but the food looked of better fresher quality . Seats were comfortable and I would definitely get Chase Club section 8 seats again

One of the nicer Arenas to watch a game. Budweiser Garden outdoor patio is a definite plus before the game, and between periods. Comfortable seats, even in the upper bowl sections. Large choice for food options.

By Petewer |

Amalie Arena is an attractive, well laid out venue. Seating is comfortable. Concessions are pricey, but aren't they everywhere. Ample parking in the vicinity. Several good restaurants within walking distance.

By kdpbball |

The arena seats around 20,000 people. There is a great view of all areas. There are plenty of restaurants and varied food and beverage vendors.

We’ve been here for several hockey & basketball games as well as concerts. Our usher, Karen Jo, was excellent! So kind and helpful. We saw The Who, was great! Looking forward to going back.

We went to a non hockey event - 2023 NCAA Volleyball Final 4. We sat in Section 312, Row B, Seats 19-20. We should have known better than to select the 300 section again because we had visibility issues from higher up last time we were there but thought Row B would be fine. The 300 section is steep, has narrow rows, and tight seats. Row B was a challenge since the railing at the end of the stairs is elevated which was right at the net line. Seat 20 is obstructed that way. Seat 19 has to lean forward to see around the railing. When the guy is Row A leaned across the railings, most of the court was obstructed as noted in my picture. They also rotated a spotlight during breaks from under the scoreboard. It would shine right into peoples' eyes. It was awful. Not many lines for food. A hard selzter was S18.50. We ate out of the arena before we came in. Security was quick even with lines and bags. Tickets are all electronic and you self scan to get into the venue. Signage for the 300 section was poor once you entered the arena and some guy was standing there shouting to take the escalators on the right past the Lightning swag store. Take a windbreaker. We brought sweaters and were freezing from the cold air which constantly blew during the match. Parking on Franklin St (0.4 mile away) was $35.

Went to see a concert in the Summer time. Went an Hour early to get in and the lines were not moving. Finally figured out why, the security lines were taking forever. They had all 25,000 concert goers waiting for 6 metal detectors. Next time I go earlier for sure..

By YvettesGirl |

Every seat seemed to have a decent view. The seats, however, are extremely hard and uncomfortable. Sound system was great, along with the dropdown screens. Negotiating streets to get to prepaid parking was a nightmare.

By PatD |

My first time to Amalie for any event. Sound system was GREAT for the concert. Clear, no echo, great visibility where we were. 16K + attendees and easy to arrive and exit. I would do this again.

By ADiStefano |

Whether it's hockey or some other event, this place does it right. Recently saw UFC for first time there...hockey is always awesome! Love the "lightning". Be the Thunder.

By Gerard D |

This is a great venue! Very modern and beautiful! Recently attended a concert at this venue. Easy to get inside, many gates to enter from. Lots of food and beverage selections here. Expect arena pricing. The staff I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful!

By Ginny |

We have gone to many Lightning games and a few concerts and it is always a good time. The only complaint is that parking is sometimes difficult to find and you have to walk quite a way. The other downside is that the police are sometimes impatient and harsh which is not necessary.

We visited the stadium to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey game. The experience of coming in and finding seat, staff absolutely great.
The game was really good. The entertainment in the brakes was good and good atmosphere in the stadium, tampa won the game in the last minute which was great to see.

Unfortunately, went to buy a beer after period one and was told by one person that I needed a passport with me and wouldn’t serve me although I had a driving license. Went and spoke to somebody else who said that I had to have an American or Canadian passport otherwise they can’t serve me alcohol.
Questioned this does this means that any tourists from other countries can’t buy a beer which was nuts, staff really need better guidance as none of them really have a clue what the rules are, including the supervisors who they called.

Luckily, a friend of mine managed to get us a beer with a UK driving license.

Apart from this issue, great experience.

By Andrew C |

Seemed very dark and dreary inside the stadium; video board is strange when sitting on the ends. Food and drink choices are average.

By Alex E |

The acoustics seem comparable to other indoor arenas. The staff was friendly and helpful. The arena was easy to navigate.

We walked, so I can't speak about the parking situation.

By Hampton Gourmet |

We went here when the Tampa Bay Lightning were playing the Buffalo Sabres. Great game because the Lightning won 2-1 in a shootout. Fans are crazy loud. Food is over priced like every stadium. If the lightning are home when you are in Tampa, make sure you get to a game!

By OTR1937 |

I have been to many sporting arenas and this is one of the best.

Family , atmosphere, great security, easy access.

The facility is modern, comfortable and convenient.

I was there to see a hockey game. I would not hesitate to return for another event.

By c22hubb |

We LOVED going to the Tampa Bay Lightning game. The outside of the stadium had things to do pregame and it had some cool statues. I loved the tall lighting bolts that came down in front of the stadium.

The stadium is also really close to Sparkmans Wharf. I would recommend checking this out for a good place to eat before the game as well as a decently clsoe parking spot. There is a good variety of food and nice places to sit and eat.

It was a nice stadium inside. Our seats were pretty high but we still had a great view. The pregame show was pretty cool. I loved the little girl that came out by herself and performed to Thunder.

By Banny9949 |

Pretty solid arena for concerts or games. Biggest complaint is the insane beer prices! Even in St Louis we dont pay near this much for beer. Sneak in airplane bottles of liquor if you can. Haven't eaten here because went to Hattricks nearby for pre concert food and drinks which is an awesome place and very walkable only being about 1/2 mile away.

Working at Precious Smiles Family Dentistry, I often hear great things about Benchmark International Arena—and it truly lives up to the buzz. Just a quick 16-minute drive from our office, it’s a vibrant venue that hosts engaging events, conferences, and community gatherings. It’s a fantastic nearby spot for learning, networking, and enjoying Tampa’s energetic atmosphere.

By JD P |

That said , went to the Outback Kiosk for a beer and a water 21.00 seriously? Why do they have to GOUGE SO BAD! They can still make a ton of money and sell more if they lowered the prices to something fair!! Come on 16.50 for a beer??? Thats a whole freaking case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That really pisses me off. Its all kinds of wrong.....Capital One paid for the Arena for the Jungle ball we went to last night! FLZ93.3 also was a sponsor , they were loud and said nothing about Christmas the whole night, This was a JINGLE BALL!!!!!! None of the lame entertainers even did anything Christmas...The talent was week and annoying, always asking for more noise, ugh One Christmas song from Maria Carrie would have been sufficient as everyone wanted to sing..I was taken back from this gig, disappointing for sure, they should cancel next year.

Went to Amalie Arena to see Trans Siberian Orchestra yesterday. A lot of older people that were walking by our row complained about the steepness, and once it started, it was very dark in there. We were in section 308 and a man weighing probably 230 lbs a few rows above us somehow lost his balance and tumbled down and landed right on my neck and upper back. My husband was hit in the shoulder/neck area and pushed him off. This happened during the 2nd or 3rd song in. I was very upset and couldn’t hardly control my emotions from the adrenaline going thru me so it was very difficult to enjoy the concert. Amalie needs to have some lights in or shining onto the steps as many were coming/going in the dark, which wasn’t safe. Im in my 60’s and there were many senior citizens having trouble navigating the steps. We left before the intermission as I couldn’t enjoy it and was in some pain.

By Tradhunter |

Went to Mercy Me concert and it was a great time. Security was great getting everyone in before the start and there were a lot of people. Even the ushers were great. Concert was excellent!! Great venue.

By tlburch51 |

The concert was amazing and the venue is nice. $16.50 for a beer is steep though. Bathrooms are very clean.

By DeniseAndDennis |

Comfortable seats, good concessions, fantastic energy and high def screen in middle of arena is amazing.

By Michael T |

We were on a spring training trip but a hockey game grabbed our attention, Bruins vs. Lightning. First time to Amalie Arena and I was impressed. Didn't seem like there was a bad seat in the place for viewing a game, we were in the 300 sections and had a great view. Everything seemed new and fresh. The usher chatted us up quite a bit and filled us in on everything about the Lightning. The only negative is the long bathroom lines, they were like 50 people long between periods.
Not sure about the parking situation as we took Lyft to and from the hotel. There is a great outside area nearby for food and drink pre and post game. We had delicious burgers and beers post game. And by hanging out there for a bit after the game you can avoid surge pricing on Lyft and Uber.

By lasher129129 |

My wife and I saw TSO here on 12/18/22. We are fans (it was her second time seeing them and my fourth). Amazing and dazzling show! We had great seats. The arena security and staff were courteous and on the ball. Venue is clean and easy to navigate. We didn't have time to grab dinner on the way to the show, so we ate inside the arena, which we knew would be pricey (around $30 for a burger and a basket of chicken fingers and fries). Because of that extra arena inflation, I am giving them 4 stars.

By Jim P |

Great event, great venue, exciting games. GO HUSKIES. Everyone was so helpful and just made our visit to Tamp very nice.

By Deb K |

This was a very nice Arena with a great location if you stay on the boardwalk.
The trolley stops in front of the Arena so we rode it both ways!

By hseibold |

We have been to lightning games
A circus
And several other events
Always professional staff
Good parking on the garage next door or park outside and walk
Fun atmosphere !
Decent seats even from the tippy top
Been several times with my seven children
Various ages !

By LongHairCat |

I was there for the It Works! Conference. Easy access. Great restaurants and bars inside. Excellent four story theatre for plays and hockey games. Accesible by car or the Tampa Streetcar.

By LeRoyTudi |

I traveled from upstate New York to Tampa to attend the PINK concert. The venue was very nice, clean, easily accessible from my hotel. I plan on attending another event there.

By br878 |

My sister got us to tickets to see James Taylor in concert, always wanted to see him perform, it was a truly memorable evening I will always cherish! The venue was not too big or small and we had convenient access as we walked to arena from hotel. James Taylor is truly a gifted performer and his show was awesome!

By JDTravelhome |

Catch a game or event is always fun at the Amalie Arena. For the most part very clean, great atmosphere with the usual overpriced concessions.

By Thomas Brooks |

went to the hockey game Saturday and although the tampa tea, lost it was a nice venue and had a blast!

By The World is My Oyster |

First live hockey game in almost 2 years, and we had an awesome time! There were only a handful of tickets available due to covid, and definitely overpriced. But we really enjoyed our time, with a great atmosphere and outcome.

By Hedy P |

We saw Andrea Bocelli and was very pleased with the ambiance. The staff were very friendly. The food, wine bars and liquor bars were upscale. Not your standard arena fare.

By lauried394 |

Was very easy to get around, lots of bathrooms and places to eat, parking was great! Would highly recommend for games or concerts!

By Reesa D |

We attended a Christian Concert here last week. It is a very nice venue with plenty of restrooms. It also has ample parking. They had concessions open as well. Everyone was very nice with directions and helping us find our seats.

By Moved2Texas |

We visited the Amalie Arena for the Women’s Final Four Championship. The venue is beautiful and the sight lines are really nice.

The food was more outrageously priced than I expected but I assume they were the same prices as at the NHL games held in the arena.

I really liked the large video board above the arena floor- very much like the screen at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. It made it easier to watch when people are standing up in front of you!

I can’t wait to come back again- maybe for a lightning game!

By Jan Y |

Great venue, comfortable and clean seating and bathrooms. Helpful stafe. Parking, not in the parking garage was STILL 25.00, a little pricy but safe. Easy walk to the Arena.

By Beachgirl119 |

I have attended several concerts here over the past two years. Yes, seats are a little tight and not cushioned but provide good views of the stage. The sound system is great. The last concert I attended was Pink Beautiful Trauma. Amazing show! The arena is well lite with easy to read signs. Bathrooms are clean. The staff is so friendly and manage to move everyone through security quickly. The ushers were also great. We always stay at a nearby hotel and walk to and from the arena to avoid the traffic after the concert.

A trip to Tampa was a Christmas present from my wife to me. As my heart is failing we are trying to hit as many hockey rinks as we can. I love the game and played for 35 yrs so we came to Tampa for a game . We had great seats between the 2 benches although we only spent about half the game there. My wife arranged through guest services telling them about my health some special things. Between periods we rode on the fan boni with the Chic filet cow. Then we went to the press box to listen in while they broadcast on the radio. We met hockey great Phil Esposito . Our host Lori was great best experience ever. Its a very nice stadium inside and out . There is lots of parking around the stadium for about $25 the same as in is back home in Detroit.

We decided to go and visit the Amelie Arena to go and see my Favourite Group Fleetwood Mac

What a event 21/2 hours of great music from a Great Group
I though the price of the refreshments were a bit excessive $16 for a can of larger and you could only get served if you could produce an ID or a passport to prove you were over 21( my daughter who did not have her passport on her only a Provisional uk driving licence on her was denied a drink

The Arena was Fantastic

By Dave L |

Easy in and easy out. Traffic moved good and lines inside were also good. Crowdsed during periods, but that happens at all hockey events and arenas. Food inside was good and the beer was cold.

By Cn |

Were there with some friends again and I enjoyed as always.clean and tidy place to go with family also. You can have fun and drinks

By soccereberhard |

I've been to Amalie Arena on numerous occasions, from Tampa Bay Lightning games to concerts to special events and every time was awesome! The venue is beautiful and we love the beer garden outside on the third level where you can eat and relax and see downtown Tampa. They have a wide variety of food and all of the employees are super friendly and helpful.

By Clemente71 |

Located close to downtown hotels and convention center. Plenty of places to eat close by or along the trolley line. Did not catch a live game, but went to the watch party for game 2 of the playoffs against the Rangers. An excellent arena. Great Sound System, Great atmosphere of about 5-6,000 fans who came to watch the game on the big screen. Fans can get very loud-cannot imagine what it is like with a full 18,000. I walked from the hotel, but there was a parking deck close by. They do a good job of making this an event. I can hear the live broadcasts of the game projected on the exterior sound system two blocks away while sitting on my hotel balcony. Has a wide courtyard where they sell additional tickets for big games for you to watch on a big screen. Lightning replication in the cieling when goals are scored is a cool touch as well.

By GlobalGirlie |

We went to the Blackhawks lightning game right before covid hit. The stadium is nice. There are some bars outside that serve food and drinks. The drinks inside the stadium were ridiculously expensive. We got three drinks and it was almost $70. There were a lot of Blackhawks fans at this game :-)

By Ian |

Went to game 5 of the second round against the Bruins. Where the lightning eliminated the bruins. Had a blast. Atmosphere in the rink was incredible. Would definetly come again.

By Rebecca B. |

Amalie Arena hits it out of the park when it comes to fan experience! Whether you are on the first, club or upper levels, event organizers make certain no fan is left out! The staff is super professional, helpful, and welcoming. Plenty of food choices and great areas for gathering with friends. We have never had a bad experience whether attending a hockey game or concert. Convenient to Ybor City and Channelside attractions.

By dcsteve56 |

Great place for viewing an event. The giant screen is a total distraction from the events. The concession costs are outragiously high. Between parking and food the costs were twice what tickets to the event were.

By LostInTime |

I went here with my daughter to see Greta Van Fleet. It’s a nice place to see a concert. It’s a smaller size stadium and they handled the crowd well. Getting in and out was easy.

By Rink64 |

On my lifetime NHL arena tour; after this, I have 2 Eastern Conf, 2 Western and every Pacific arenas to go.
Arena was fairly easy to find even though our GPS died; excellent signage. Parking was very limited. Go really early; we were 2 hours early, luckily.
Inside was bright and clean; opposite of Miami's run down dump.

By The World is My Oyster |

We had such a blast there last night enjoying the Chase Club. Everyone who works there was super nice. Anna and Craig really made us feel right at home. Our bartender Nick was as cool and efficient as he always is. Phenomenal food, outstanding customer service, and great atmosphere!

Went to hockey game via ferry. Great location..good acoustics, seating and big screen..live organist!

By TomD0711 |

Came to see the KISS Concert a couple weeks ago. The arena is great. I prepaid for parking when I bought our tickets. We parked in the parking garage and easily took the elevator down to the first floor. Once outside we bought some t shirts and walked to the entrance to the arena. It's tight there. We got inside smoothly and got some good and drink. Then found our seats and enjoyed the show. It is well set up, and I enjoy coming got sporting events and shows. It's a nice venue.

By Reggie C |

Parking is close and nice freeway access. Food and drink prices are absurd but nice venue. Very clean and helpful friendly staff. After a concert took 15 minutes to get on freeway from parking lot. Thats huge.

By hswmd |

Went out for an evening to enjoy a hockey game with my son and grandson. The arena was alive with excitement for the Lightning Bolts. Staff treated us well and were very friendly. Food was priced moderately. Drinks were very expensive. Restrooms were few and far between.Overal, it was a good experience.

By Kimberly kelly |

Wow. Amalie arena is a great place to see a game. Not a bad seat in the house, but if you can get seats in section 120, it's awesome. Close up shots, Thunder Bug, and the Lightning Girls - all spectacular. The crowds are roaring and the energy in the stadium is electrifying. Love it all. Go BOLTS

By Chantal A |

We visited the arena for a hockey game. Overall I found it was easy enough to navigate, which is nice. Plenty of parking within a few blocks, but you will have to walk. The food is really expensive, so be prepared to pay $12 for a modest portion of average poutine.

By Rita M |

Went to The Cure concert and was seated in Section 319 Row M. Hardly any leg room and very uncomfortable because of the lack of space between rows. I don't know if other sections have more room but those seats were the only ones available to see The Cure. The Cure concert was fantastic.

By TWHillValley |

Well I have a love hate relationship with Amalie. Planning is key with every business and they needed to plan better. It was a Saturday 5pm show for Jeff Dunham. They didn't open the doors (even with a huge crowd of people waiting) until 4. Yeah I know it is standard however all of the people didn't get in until almost 5:30 and the show started late due to this. Not Jeffs fault and not the people who planned correctly either.
We wanted to get in, get a bite to eat and hit the bathroom before we sat down. We were lucky to get through the security check, checking bags and walking through metal detectors (which I think needs an upgrade) and scanned our tickets very quickly within minutes of them letting everyone up the stairs. Plus in that department, minus on the lack of how they screened everyone. Too easy to get things in if you are that type of person who wants to sneak stuff in.

What I like is it is clean everywhere.
From the seats, the eating areas and walkways in and out, to even the bathrooms. Not to forget they have plenty of bathrooms which do come n handy to not have to wait in long lines.

There is a ton of employees around to ask for help if needed and you won't think you need it however the signs they have are hard to understand and misleading. Escalators that bring you up to the 3rd level look like they are Suite only when in fact they are not. Print is small and not very well direct.

Food - HUGE FAIL - Well I highly recommend you eat before you come. They offer a ton of options from many of the best chains around however the price mark-up is ridiculous. I figured the food and drinks would be high but when a bottle of water s $4.25, bottle of soda is over $7 and a can of beer was $17 - YES $17 (I don't drink it however was shocked to see) it makes you say - REALLY! Come on already. You feel like you are getting screwed. You cannot bring in food either. We sucked it up and paid $15 for just a Cuban and $15 for a Steak Sandwich which wasn't even Steak-ums, it was dry and tasted old so over cooked I couldn't chew it. (DO NOT EAT AT OUTBACK there. They are awful in price and nothing like the restaurant).

Seats - I am not one to go to events due to I hate crowds and value my personal space. With a newer arena in general you figure they would give you at least some room to move your feet. Some other newer arena's I have been to, I have been much nicer seating. These tickets were last minute for a birthday and I sucked it up and found seats with only a railing in from of us. Which helped since we were on level 3. The row behind us keep hitting the back of our seats. I know it wasn't their fault specially when they had to get up so people could go by them. Not much room to walk.

We had a good time, laughed our buts off and shared way to much personal space with over 10,000 people during flu season and the height of Coronavirus. It wasn't all bad however they could have done things so much nicer for everyone. Even the way or lack of the areas to buy merchandise could have been done better.

Overall, would I go back? No time soon and if I do, I will plan a head much better. Upgrade my seating would be a deal breaker!

By Jim T |

The concert itself was amazing. The staff seemed somewhat disorganized. Only half the restaurants were open which made no sense since it was a sold out event. Seating is pretty comfortable. The traffic situation made it seem like this was the first time they were hosting an event. 45 minutes to go .5 mile. We paid fro venue parking but could not access it due to road blockages. Would avoid in the future.

By Rebecca F |

Attended the Madonna concert earlier this month. My daughter left a jacket at the arena and we were not able to go back in to retrieve it. I contacted Lost and Found and they were kind enough to locate the jacket and mail it back to us at no charge. Included was a handwritten note from Cathy at the arena. Wonderful customer service!

By C9487RUangelaj |

My teens attended the Jonas Brothers Concert on August 10th. They got there early so parking easy however the later you arrive the farther away you have to park. Once in line to get into Amalie Arena the pedestrian traffic was easy to maneuver and find your seats, restrooms and merchandise tables. Great experience!

By Holly @ LoveAtFirstSite.blog |

We were there twice this week. Once for a packed Pentatonix show and two days later for a hockey game. Both were amazing experiences. We aren't from here and haven't done many games or shows in the past, so to have such great experiences with our kids is magical. Great venue. Quick security and entrance into the events.

By Michele |

This was our first time at the arena. It was easy to get to and access from parking lot. Good security from the police on the streets to entering the arena. The vendors were polite. We can't wait to go back!!

By Nancy L |

Nice arena. Easy to get around.
Drinks are expensive here! Not too many choices but if you look around you may find what you are looking for. Never been in a bad seat. Lines can be long for the ladies room. Tends to be cold inside. Sometimes can be hard to get an uber after events due to the crowds.

By Chris C |

Been to several Lighting games. Great Site Lines! There really isn't a bad seat in the building. Lots of parking all around the building. Concessions are overpriced but there are a lot of great options.

By Beachbenz63 |

Recently attended the Elton John concert and opted for the concert club upgrade. The food and service could not have been better. Well worth the extra cost for an excellent meal, drinks, and amazing customer service. Use of the spotless restrooms was a pleasure also.

By Michelle K |

The arena is in great shape. The employees were friendly & always helpful. The event was well managed. We’ve been to many of these & this was the best ever.

By Margaret H |

Worst seats Ever! I purchased seats in section FL2 Row 18 for a Concert. I thought how bad could they be it’s right in the center and several sections behind it and it’s on the floor so it should be pretty good. My daughter and I are 5’3” tall and with everyone standing we were unable to even see the performers, maybe an occasional glimpse if you could see between peoples shoulders. Very Disappointed and feel like I wasted a lot of money for nothing .

By Michael O |

Time for him to retire!... Voice is half of what it was at one time... the few songs he did do were average at best... they fluffed up the show with distractions... who were ok but not worth the price we paid for 20 minutes of Andre!

By Leslie T |

Ok, one knows that food and beverage prices in sports and event venues are going to be high, but $18 for a beverage? I took my granddaughter to see Disney on Ice — already expensive — and even the cotton candy was $18. The Tampa Lightning Bolts Hockey Team plays there so they have a built-in audience for that.

By Manuel P |

Low-grade food, very small servings do you have to wait in line for each category. I paid $55 to go eat before an event I got charged $10 more for an event fee. They served pieces of grouper smaller than 2 inches across, thin slices of fatty steak they probably weighed about an ounce and a half. Total disappointment, total rip-off.

By calvinm917 |

This organization puts on a great product for the fans of the Lightning and all NHL hockey fans. Great game day experience.

By Lisa Marie |

Everything seemed fine arriving to the arena for a concert. My husband being handicapped we purchased 3 seats in the Wheelchair/ Handicapped section so he could have plenty of room. The arena seemed understaffed, not one staff member ever checked our tickets nor the area we purchased to sit in. We ended up with at least 20 different people standing behind us and crowding around us, even to the point to a person with a heart condition was almost hit by other people in row ahead of us, as they used it as a pass through. The situation was frustrating to say the least. We ended up leaving before the concert was even over to avoid any other situations that could have ended up worse. Not sure if we will ever attend this arena again.

By Emily G |

Tampa is a beautiful clean city and the walk to the arena by the waterfront is unique and beautiful. The arena parking ranges from what I saw $12.00 to $25.00. Many wonderful police officers on duty and the arena service staff is excellent.
I ordered loaded nachos and for the price they were ok. They need more flavor and less onion and no black olives. Use a taco flavoring in the meat - would be better - I think.
Lots of nacho cheese was good. I would get something different next time to eat. My Drink was $15.00 nachos around $12.00.
The seats in the arena are very close to each other but comfortable. Love this arena lots of great fans, restaurants, drinks, and great Hockey Players love the Organist too.

By 31HomeGames |

The home of the Lightning is terrific hockey arena. The location in downtown Tampa on the river walk is great. Inside, the lower bowl sight lines are really good. The concourse areas felt spacious and not overly crowded even at peak times. Lots of energy in the arena with the boisterous Lightning fans.

By Lee Ann J |

Good sized arena to attend a concert in. Outdoor beverages set up prior to concert with friendly staff.

By Shawna G |

The arena itself is easy to navigate. Some of the ushers are not the friendliest, when trying to find our seats we were spoken to like little children even after she sent us the wrong direction. There to see Twenty One Pilots and Awolnation, the acoustics were great and our seats were comfortable.

By Melanie A |

I’ve only been there to see the Tampa Bay Lightning games, but it is a great venue in a good location! Lots of nearby parking at reasonable rates—-look around for prices. Many good restaurants within walking distance.

By ParisgalChicagoIL |

We had an easy walk from the Marriott via the Riverwalk to this modern arena to watch our team, the Nashville Predators, defeat Tampa in overtime. Great food choices, clean facility, friendly staff.

By JayZ863 |

Anyone that ever comes to Tampa must go to a lightning hockey game if the team is in season. It’s a mind blowing experience.

By Steven C |

My wife and I are Andre Rieu fans and have seen his show a few times at other venues. We purchased parking at the Arena in advance via Park Whiz for $16.14, which turned out to be a good choice as we were able to park adjacent to the Arena and walk right into the venue without crossing streets or going a long distance. (Be sure to have your proof of purchase handy as you are asked to show it prior to entering the parking structure.) Getting into the Arena parking was a nightmare due to heavy construction taking place all around that part of town and due to various police and other personnel that had lanes blocked without signage and which were giving rather confusing and conflicting directions. Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the venue as the traffic in the Tampa area was very heavy on the way to and all around the Arena. If you need to eat prior to your event, there is the Firestick Grill inside the Arena that you must pay for and reserve in advance. However, at $60 a head for a fine dining buffet, I recommend dining elsewhere unless you want to splurge for a special event. (The food and service were excellent. There is also a Cigar City Brewing restaurant adjacent to the Arena on the west side that may be a better option but I recommend reservations if possible as they get packed.) The Arena is a nice venue however, you may or may not be happy with your seating if you are attending a concert. For our concert, we were seated on the main floor and it was difficult to see the people on the stage at times due to others seated directly in front of us on the same level flooring (and of course with their damn cell phones rudely raised above their heads taking video so no one behind them could see.) So, if you are attending a concert, you may want to explore getting a seat near the front but off to the upper right or left side of the stage so you are seated above the floor and the seating is inclined so your view is not obstructed as much. They have large screens so you can see some of what is taking place on stage close up and the sound system was very good with no feedback or problems noticed. I would recommend this venue for a concert however, I highly recommend you do your research in advance so you have the least amount of issues possible getting into and out of the area.

This was the second year in a row we took our grandchildren to the Disney show. I have also been to several Lightning Hockey games. This arena is great. We had box seats for the Hockey games and they was fantastic. We’ve eaten at a couple different restaurants and the food was very good.

By Jennifer I |

We visited this place to see the Tampa Bay NHL team play. Very nice arena with excellent lighting, sound and visibility. I must warn you tho, the price of food is extremely high, so it’s best to eat before you go. The arena had a great selection of food to choose from though. The only reason I did not give the review 5 stars is because the seats were dirty. I do plant to return to this arena and I highly recommend staying at the Marriott Waterside, which is right next door and a very short walk.

Went to Amalie to see Paul Simon. Arena was easy to access, had parking withing walking distance. Seats were comfortable. Acoustics were very good. Parking garage cleared quickly after the show and we were on the interstate very quickly.

By Phil |

Very nice arena... Watched the Tampa Bay Bolts play here... And have also seen Adam Sandler in concert. There is a parking garage RIGHT next to the arena... Cost $10 to park.... First come first serve... Not bad considering allot of the surrounding lots are $20+ for special events (ridiculous)... During the hockey games, they have a mini Tesla cool in the ceiling that creates their own lightning for when the Bolts score... Pretty cool!!

Came to see Fleetwood Mac . Terrible access outside ( traffic) . Finally got dropped off by Lyft driver and had to wait in very long line to get in. Upon entering got to our level and had to squeeze in to our uncomfortable seats and no leg room. After the show we had to go about 1/2 mile to unsecured , dimly lit spot designated as UBER Lyft designated pick up spot. Very inconvenient!

I don’t know how other seats are there but the 300 level seats were terrible. The acoustics that night were terrible. Don’t know if that’s inherent to Amalie Arena or that was the band.

Overall made for an unpleasant experience.

Visited whilst on vacation from the UK and wanted to watch a Hockey game so dragged my wife along (!) to watch the Lightning beat Columbus 4-0.

The arena has great atmosphere, the facilities are a high standard and the staff are friendly and efficient.

We too advantage of Parking Panda and parked nearby in the multi-storey car park in Channelside.

Security upon entry to the arena was thorough but quick.

We both had a fantastic experience and would definitely go back again.

One downside: price of drinks inside the arena. yes I know these places always charge more but $16 for a can of beer???

By architect1013 |

Enjoyed our first visit to Amalie Arena. We were extremely impressed with how clean it was. There are several food choices throughout the building. Good sight lines and small enough to see well from any seat. We look forward to attending another event here.

The lightning play here and before each game there’s cool stuff happening out front. Big viewing screen outside. Great party deck. Big venue for concerts too

By Nick K |

Amelie Arena is a very well run machine. It is well-staffed, clean, and offers a consistent experience for sports fans. There are always tons of pre-game festivities, including live music and appearances by the Lightning cheerleaders. Sports fans will get a consistent, positive and fun experience visiting the arena.

Recently my daughter and I camped out and attended a Twentyone Pilots concert at Amalie Arena. The staff at Amalie Arena went above and beyond to provide round the clock security and even provided lunch, and donuts for the "campers". The security stageside was also top notch. Everyone (Mark, Mark, Wes, Anthony, Greg) were friendly, professional, courteous, and interactive. The arena, bathrooms, and grounds were clean, the sound was amazing, and the show was perfect. I highly recommend Amalie Arena.

Extremely disappointed in this venue...tickets showed concert beginning at 7:30 pm. We entered venue at 6:30 pm and were in our seats by 7:00 as most people. It was a Thursday night. KiSS did not take the stage until almost 9:00 pm making us miss two hours of the concert as we had to leave and catch a hotel shuttle due to my handicapped son. We paid a lot of money for our tickets.

By Shawn R |

it's a hockey arena. That part is good. Not a fan of the total grid.lock on level 1 between periods. Tough to navigate.

By Peter R |

As a Bostonian, the bar was set pretty high for my expectations at a hockey game. First, there was ample parking 2 1/2 hours before the game and a bargain at $20. Thete were several restaurant choices within walking distance of the arena. We chose Holy Hog for BBQ. Despite the sellout crowd at 19092, the lines moved right along. Section 229 was affordable with great views, good access to restrooms and beer ($16.50 for one 24 oz can). The optics and music and crowd were exemplary. The Lightning are of course the best in the NHL and they showed why. Only took me 12 minuted to drive the 5 miles back to our Marriott which absolutely amazed me. An OUTSTANDING evening!

By Pat M |

Was in Amalies Arena twice recently and what a great experience. Beautiful facility, very well designed for the 17,000+ people that were in attendance and all the service staff were helpful and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit.

By Lacie R |

Great spot to catch a concert - great acoustics!

My favorite act I've seen here is Aerosmith but ... anyone you enjoy will be great. :)

By turtle_lvr63 |

Missed the first quarter of the 1st game of the Women’s Semi Final game because the security did not have their act together. I can’t believe this arena only has one way in, and funnels everyone in through this one stairway. I felt like a herd of cattle, they had an express lane for people without bags, but you couldn’t get to it if you wanted to because of the crush of people. And it was so hot, because there were no lanes, people jostling to get through, utter chaos.

By upstate2 |

Went to see a musical event and our tour group placed us all on the top tier. Without exception worst seats ever. Bad acoustics had the sound bouncing back and speaker feedback throughout. The top tier seating was shallow on narrow steep levels for each row. Knees pressed against seats in front of you and the threat of tipping over and falling off the narrow steep levels to levels below.

We watched the facility “hosts” struggle to move around the section themselves and working hard to keep customers from falling as they worked a hand over hand approach on any object to get to their seats.

Over the concert we watch +20 people leave.

Talking to three different facility employees as we moved around the facility- all shared that the top tier seats are the worst in the place and customers regularly leave mid event because of them.

Think we will look for events at other venues.

Went for a Tampa Bay Lightening hockey game. Clean, easy to get around. Lots of staff to help with directions. Food inside is VERY expensive.

By Abert S |

First time at the arena and had a very good experience. Sound system was terrific, seating was great (we had floor seats), and enjoyed a snack and drinks before show at the various stands. The cuban sandwich was terrific. Prices for drinks and food were super expensive.

By Ken V |

Great place to see hockey games and Monster Truck events. Parking is typically bad in the poorly planned downtown area. Don't go there to see or "hear" a great music concert becasue as Frank Zappa famously said "It sounds like it was produced in a hockey rink" Inspire of the crazy parking, you can take your family there and know they will be safe coming , going and during the show or game - not something true in big city big box venues.

By kiliswifey |

We sat very high up, right in front of the radio booth. The very was still spectacular. I highly recommend watching a Lightning game here. The only critique is the concessions food was way overpriced even for an arena. The 20 oz. Coke was $6 and the soft pretzels were $9. Otherwise this place rocks!!!

By mslagel |

So far have seen The Who, Rod Stewart and Bob Seger. We live in Orlando so, it's a little bit of a drive. 90 miles as the crow flies, a million miles a the uninformed human drivers litter I-4. The seats all seem good. The acoustics have always been good! The alcohol is a little pricey, but hey! aren't all arenas? I will go back there again!

By The_1st_IslandDoctor |

Anniversary night out with friends. Absolutely an awesome show!!!! It will bring tears to your eyes and high-fiv’ing strangers.

See my review of Lexus Lounge at the Amalie Center.

By RxDive |

Went to a Jo Koi (comedian) show and seated in section 308, row M (in the nose bleed section, it was a last minute ticket purchase). Very narrow rows with no leg room - knees pressed against the seats in front. Straight backed seats. Had to stand up several times so others could get in or out. The stage was set up at the opposite end so if not for the large video screens we would not be able to see anything. On the plus side, very clean venue. many bars (very pricey libations) and restrooms. Helpful event staff. One suggestion for those who are not familiar with the downtown Tampa area (especially at night) is to arrive 30 minutes early to find parking and to walk to the Arena. BTW - security screening for weapons was done (metal detectors).

By drichmond99 |

was a great NHL game, seemed that the Visiting Maple Leafs brought all of Canada with them, Amalie Arena was easy to get around, enjoyed some pre game drinks at Cigar City Brewing, good times.

By Pete H |

Arena was great. Very easy to get to and very easy to get out of. Sell out crowd made it a lot of fun and also being Star Wars night it was pretty cool for my son.

By kingsley e |

What a great night watching the Bolts who won in a penalty shoot out . Great view , fabulous company .

By redenius007 |

Went to see Transiberian Orchestra, were so far up we could not see anything going on upon the stage, it was quite a farce. This is too big a venue to have a show like this. I would not chose to view a show here.

By The World is My Oyster |

Went to see the Habs and Bolts play a few weeks ago and really had a blast! The atmosphere was electric the entire time. We also really enjoyed the Chase Club Lounge where it was all you can eat and drink. Totally worth it as the food was awesome and the staff amazing!

By Cheritaylor |

Great arena for hockey. The technology used for the arena effects are astounding. Great entertainment for the whole family. Food and beverages a bit pricey.

By Irene B |

Great location, good quality sound, comfortable seats and helpful staff. Queues for merchandise were long but well monitored. Access to and from the stadium was well managed. The free street car have a stop outside which was very convient. So leave the car at home, avoid the extensive roadworks and construction nearby.

By natnat876 |

Fun time for the SEC tournament! They had a big screen set up outside for everyone to watch even if they didn’t have seats inside. Great atmosphere for the basketball crowd.

By passem86 |

Very secure and very helpful staff. I do wish there were fans or something as the concert was sold out and got very hot very quick.

By Mark T Lhenny |

Fantastic facility, security and comfort are obviously a priority a wee tip, make it easy for yourself and prepare for airport style search before entering, don’t have pockets full of loose change.

Parking charges near the stadium appeared steep for UK visitors $10-25 nearly. However plenty of street parking in meters nearby 75 cents an hour and free after 6pm. Our parking total €1.50.

If travelling on a budget, street park and grab a hot dog at City Market Eats , N Morgan Street . The Bolts won when we were there so we had the added bonus of 50% reduction on official merchandise hats afterwards.

The stadium is awesome , if from UK think SSE Hydo or MEN Arena, however they don’t come close.

By PriddisCouple |

We have half season tickets for the Lightning and great club level seats in Section 215. We enjoy the easy access to the concourse between periods and the diverse (and good quality) beverage offerings. Food offers are also diverse but they could use more heart healthy choices. All in all always a great experience going to a game!

By Nadinebuell |

Always a good time at the Arena. It's easy to get in and around.
Have never gotten a bad seat, all give a different perspective!
The only thing I would say, is bring plenty of money, concessions are CRAZY expensive...

By Hsquared01 |

It is crazy that we could not send our 15 yr old to a line on her own because the arena does not accept cash for purchases, even to buy one soda. Puts profit over people by making you order everything through a kiosk with a credit or debt card (at least on the 100 level where we were)

By jenjen40 |

Amalie is a wonderful hot spot, whether it's a concert or hockey. It's easy parking nearby with reasonable rates. Easy flat hike on sidewalks. Easy out as well. The location is right on the water and offers a beautful view and if you prefer, you can boat to the events. I recommend going early and eating nearby overlooking the water.
The arena is about twenty years old but in great shape and a lot of friendly help available to help guide you to your seats. The entrances are well staffed and going through security was pretty quick each event I've attended.

By Maddie C |

Growing up in a suburb of Detroit, I never thought I would be a Tampa Bay fans. Flash forward to this hockey season, and I have both Andrei Vasilevskiy and Ondrej Palau on my fantasy hockey team! Throughout the fantasy season, I have become a huge Bolts fan, and I was incredibly fortunate enough to be able to experience a game at Amalie Arena. My experience was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible. We never had to wait in long lines, got in and out quickly. Our seats were comfortable, and with a t-shirt and jeans I was not cold! Prices at the shops were reasonable, and the shirt that I got is nice quality. I definitely will be going to Amalie Arena again! Go Bolts!

By Shannon D |

Attended our first hockey game on a visit to Tampa. Everything was electrifying (pardon the pun). The outdoor area near the main entrance is awesome and so much fun. Gets you excited from the very beginning. Arena is state of the art and very cool. So much to look at. It was a great game and the energy from the crowd is awesome. If you're ever in Tampa definitely try to check out a Lightning game. Go Bolts!!!

By Jennifer L |

I called the Arena about a concert I wanted to attend because I need handicapped seats. There were only 3 seats in the middle of the row where me and my husband wanted to sit. I was not able to purchase the 2 seats we needed because it would have left one open seat. That is the section we wanted to sit in and the employee on the phone refused to sell us the seats. I think this is ridiculous we should have been able to buy tickets to the show. The concert it tomorrow so it isn't like there is still lots of time for someone to buy these seats. What horrible customer service.

By Alexa |

Great Arena to see hockey games to concerts. The hockey game experience is amazing. The seats are also good from almost any view.

By RaccoonGuyUK |

I have been to this arena twice now as a visiting fan to go and see hockeys games against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Access to the arena is pretty well organised with multiple close by car parks, easy drop off for taxis and no lines to get in. It does flow reasonably well.

The entry/exit staff were very polite, as are the 50/50 people, attendants inside and food outlets.

The food choices are good, expensive (but aren’t all nhl arenas, and the entertainment was not bad at all. I would say the sound system though, especially when up in the nose bleeds (as we were the first time) isn’t for everyone as it is soooo loud and literally makes your whole body vibrate/half deaf by the time you leave. I’d recommend lower levels seats to avoid this as much better the second time.

I guess the biggest disappointment is the amount of drunk and unruly people there. On both occasions (sitting in different spots) we were continually subjected to drunk fans, shouting abuse at players, swearing, making comments about hockey that showed they clearly weren’t fans and also hurling abuse at visiting fans (thankfully not us directly but people close by).

While you expect some stick as a visiting fan, which is fine btw and part of the game, I don’t expect drunken slurs and abuse. The security staff did absolutely nothing about it and so the poor people being abused just left in the end.

Very disappointing all round and probably one of the worst arena experiences I have had.

By Yvonne S |

I am on oxygen and have trouble walking any distance. I was able to use an elevator to get to our level..it was a few steps to my seat. Not bad at all. Our seats were great! We did not eat or drink anything from the many venues to choose from..unfortunately we ate before we arrived...big mistake! Order in room service. Don't. Leaving the arena was a bit more than what I had planned..we made arrangements for Uber ( 80.00 for parking no thank you!).the only problem for me was having to walk to the designated uber pick up..I had to stop to breathe a couple of times..I would suggest uber..trying to get out of there was a nightmare. Would go again though..

By Mooshe31 |

Convenient with lots of hotels and bars around it. Home of the Lighning Hockey Team, you will enjoy the game even if you done have tickets by watching the big screens outside!!!

By Ramona |

This is an awesome place for concert venue. The place was packed but did not feel crowded. The staff was amazing!!

By Judy B |

Great venue with “Thunder Alley” for fans outside the stadium. Music, food & great team spirit. Exciting to witness playoff hockey & prices for tickets are within reach of average people. Very moving tributes to veterans prior to game & anthem always sung by a member of the Armed Forces, very emotional & inspiring. Only downside is the location which has very heavy traffic & complicated to find parking but well worth the effort.

By Kristen b |

This was our first year visiting this event. We are a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 boys age 13 , 10 and 4. This show was a hit. Even our oldest said he enjoyed it ( teenagers can be iffy) . The dinosaurs were great and the actors were on point. They followed the story line of Jurassic world the movie which was great. We have visited this arena many times in the past and it's always easy to maneuver. Pay for parking in the garage ahead of time to save you walking distance . The arena is always clean and the staff are polite . It's a bit pricey from the other venues we frequent, but that's to be expected . Overall , it was a great event in a great venue.

By Sunnywfb |

Went to see the Blues and Lightning game on 2/7/19. Blues Won in OT. But what a neat arena. Clean, open and easy to find your seat. Local's were nice and there was some neat things to do there. I think I'll have to come back. Great Experience!

By efischer850 |

Very nice arena, decent (but expensive) food options. The speakers were very loud for the announcers. We had noise reducing ear muffs for our infant but wish we had brought some for our 4 year old.

By Kathleen P |

Went to a pre-season hockey game. In just one bathroom visit, I had to go to 3 toilet stalls before I found one that actually flushed. Two hand soap dispensers were not usable, do to some mechanical defect. The odor of the bathrooms wreaked into the hallways, giving Amalie Arena the smell of a putrid lift station.

Overpriced, mediocre at best food vendors.

If you go to a hockey game, bring your sunglasses because the newly added even brighter light message boards will give you seizures.

And smoking is now banned, and there is no longer a smoker area outside the arena. If you leave to go smoke, you will not be allowed back in.

By JoanRose254 |

Lower level seats very cramped, barely any leg room. 2nd level is better. They will not allow you to even bring in a bottle of water so they can charge you $4.50 inside. Food prices high and quality low.

By snowhiteheather |

Perfection. Clean, safe, staff is amazing, well organized.. never let's me down. Plenty of good choices and restrooms.

By Dana M |

Really nice arena. Great effects - love the tesla coils. Have to give it a lower rating because my team lost there. Decent beer selections. Visited for Stanley Cup Final Game 1 and getting in was efficient and well organized. Have been to baseball playoff games before and they were atrocious compared to Amalie. Easy to access and to navigate.

By Karen J |

The area and staff were great. Lots of places to eat and drink, bathrooms ran pretty smooth. Uber drop off area is close to entrance … however my husband is 6ft 5 and I’m 5ft 10 and thicker than a snicker. We don’t expect to go places and sit comfortably- but we were in actual pain sat in our seats. My knee is heavily bruised from being wedged into the seat in front of me. The cup holders in the seats don’t allow for you to sit with your legs in the widest part of the seat. Also seat width is tight… if you’re a larger size person please take this into consideration. I have been in the club seats at the arena and they are great, but general admission- they just cater to small people.

By bran |

I love this place for hockey games! I have not attended a concert though at the arena. For hockey, you can’t have a bad seat! If you want an even better seat, spring for the Chase club! Staff inside and out of the building are always friendly, helpful and just awesome to chat with!

By MSCarter |

Easy arena to get around in as the signage is good. Staff working was very helpful in answering any questions visitors might have.

By ZKnight |

Overall an awesome place to be at. Very well organized, plenty of food choices. Drinks are on expensive side though, especially beer.

By jerzieskye |

We attended a women’s conference here with Joyce Meyer in October this facility was roomy clean and great seating.

By Cathy F |

Here for the NCAA Final Four. Everything is fine except for the women restrooms . With all those women coming and going there was no attendant . Trash running over … toilet paper all over the floor . Ran out of paper towels . Very disappointed for such a high visibility event that more attention wasn’t given to the women restrooms.

Excellent place to see the Tampa Bay Lightning!!! We were gifted seats at the Tampa Bay Lightning game and it was phenomenal!!! Don't know much about the game but it was wonderful watching the excitement and action in person!!!

By J.R. Rosa |

I've attended two different concerts in the Amalia Arena this month (The Who & Journey). This is the first time I've been to this place. It has lots of parking all around it. I had no problem finding a place. If you want to come early, there are a ton of restaurants in the area. The facility was clean and signage was helpful. Restrooms were plenty and easily accessible. Food venders offered plenty of variety. The only complaint is that I bought tickets in the very upper cheap seats. They are very steep and walking down the isles is very dangerous and unstable. I will definitely return, but will also never go that high in the seats again. I will need to pay the extra cost to ensure my wife and I feel safe.

By Ray M |

While this venue is perfect for playing hockey, the acoustics for the arena are pretty poor for concerts. Traffic is miserable and congested in this seemingly ongoing construction area. Add extra time for travel during events.

By d0rable1 |

i have traveled to Tampa several times to attend concerts at the Amalie Arena and have never had a bad seat. Acoustics and views are well done. The arena is clean with several bathrooms and refreshment areas.

By STEVE |

Attended this arena to see Alan Jackson performing. Easily accessed and staff were very helpful. We got great seats and comfortable. Alcohol seemed very expensive. However, the concert made up for that and the ambiance was friendly. Would attend again for a concert. Well done Amalie.

By hiddenvacation |

Reaching Amalie Arena is currently challenging but once there the experience is remarkable especially when the superlative Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team is the attraction
The Channel area where the Arena is situated is currently smack in the middle of a massive construction boom and it takes some careful navigation to reach the destination and locate parking. Water Taxi seemed to be our best solution for a recent visit. The resulting benefits from the current construction will create a highly desirable synergy for the area and the general populace
The elevated energy is unmistakable even from the perimeter around the Arena. Good vibes from the seats are effortlessly created started by the boisterous reception the fans give their excellent team even in pre game practice. The thumps of support during the action are resounding and the stratified level of performance by the team as it marches to perhaps another Stanley Cup is only appropriate.
Between periods of action the clamor in the inside hallways and outside hospitality decks anticipate yet another good result.
The fan base at Amalie Arena is firmly committed to this superlative team and the audible atmosphere is a treat for visitors.

Amalie Arena is a great place to watch a hockey game. The sightlines in the entire arena are good, even in the higher seats. Very well organized and family friendly.

By bethydollar |

First of all this arena is impressive. No matter where you sit you have a great view of the ice. The Bolts, Tampa’s hockey team is excellent. The game was exciting. The visuals and screens enhanced the play. Seats were comfortable. Food was good. Go you will have a blast!

By Anujjjjjjj |

We went to watch the Hockey game here, A lot of concerts also happen here A very neat place, well maintained and super clean. The atmosphere in the hockey game is unbelievable, the Tampa Bay Lightening fans are just amazing. Would highly recommend it

By Edwelsh |

We went both nights to the Women’s Final Four. Sold out both nights, but getting in and out were easy. Seating was nice, comfortable and well marked. Food and beverage stations were all around, but they only served beverages in the plastic bottle and they unscrewed the lid and kept it. Really?!? The overhead scoreboard video screen was smaller than we are used to but nice. Met a lot of nice people and would definitely go back.

By Simone D |

What a nice surprise the staff was here compared to the Barclays in Brooklyn. Tampa knows hospitality!

By James Docherty |

Huge arena (20k capacity) with even our seats in the gods offering a great view of the rink. Easy to get around and find your seat, less than fifteen minutes from door (and security check) to watching the game. Plenty of concessions offering food, drink, and merchandise at pretty standard arena prices (about $6 for a 20oz Coke).
The cup holders, a great addition! Other arenas take note!

By Michael B |

Great time watching the hockey game. Great atmosphere, great set up outside before games. Lightning games are always a fun time.

By onlaydoc |

Nice arena, lots of helpful staff and easy access to variety of concessions! BUT they make Madison Square Garden look cheap! $14:50 for a pretzel? $16.75 for a draught beer, 10.50 for a bag of popcorn? Veggie burger $20+, hamburger almost $20. Relative bargains are a nice sausage and pepper on a roll for 10.50 or 7.75 for a good hot dog. Plan on a C-note for two to eat and drink(two beers, two wines, food and snack)

By ipamsl |

I was there for the first time for a Bob Seger concert. Bought tickets way in advance. Not knowing how large it is, our seats were so high that I could not look down while walking up because it is so steep. I could hardly see the performers. And the advertising flags hanging from the ceiling blocked the view of the monitors. If you go do not get the last couple rows at the top!! And they were not inexpensive either.

Amalie Arena is the perfect size to see either a show or a sporting event. All of the seats offer a great view, even the seats at the top. Whether you go to cheer on the Lightning or to see a comedian, this arena offers good seats with great views.

Coming from the UK I love watching Ice Hockey unfortunately due to the time difference it's not possible to watch so coming to America (Orlando) I was super excited when we booked our holiday with a car. We used Stub Hub to order tickets to see Tampa Bay. We drove to Tampa and I have to say the city is beautiful we got down early so we could take a look around. The Stadium is beautiful and the buzz around the place and fans was electrifying. we was very lucky the first game of the season against another Florida team. we found staff helpful and friendly the food around the stadium was great and the fans was so friendly and welcoming I'm now gutted to be back in the UK I wished we had stayed in Tampa longer and got to see more matches.

The show we saw saw was superior. The music, and the light, laser show was very impressive. Now, the HOWEVER. Your FOOD PRICES are just STUPID!!!! Folks, IF your prices would be LOWER, You would sell more, Folks, this is not rocket science!!!
Guess this a old arena, cause the seats, are just terrible. Many of the seniors around us were worried bout how steep it was getting around.

By Sandy W |

The Arena is terrific. I go to the Lightning games. Lots of space to walk with many options for food and drink. Comfortable seats w great sight lines . Easy access parking.

Terrific arena.
Clean, spacious and comfortable seating. Fan friendly.
The floor numbering doesn't make sense in that it doesn't correspond to your section number. If your ticket is for section 212, your elevator stop isn't the second floor. Ask for directions. Ushers are glad to help.
Yes food is expensive.

I am a season ticket holder with the Dallas Stars, but I could not pass up a chance to watch the home team play when in Tampa all week. Like Dallas, the arena is really close to downtown so getting there was easy. I was with a bunch of business friends who had reserved a bunch of seats up on the second tier. Unlimited food and drinks! And this was NOT stadium food. I had oysters on the half shell, scallops, and stayed away from an incredible looking desert table. The staff could not have been friendlier. And the Bolts won their 9th game in a row so everybody went home happy. Would LOVE to go to another game there.

By Rmonterzoe |

Saw the Lightning play here last week. Parking is kind of a pain so recommend getting there a bit early. Food is very good though a bit pricey. Plenty of choices for beverages including full liquor bars. Always a plus when the Bolts win.

By LWRFL |

The staff at the Amalie really know how to run an event! We were very impressed how they kept around 15,000 people moving while entering a concert, and still did security checks. They even took the time to tell you to enjoy the event! There's plenty of food and drink choices. The whole place was really clean - especially the bathrooms. The sound system and lighting excellent. Will definitely attend other events here.

Been here for quite a few concerts - parking is easy and easy access to arena. Staff are always pleasant. Very clean

Tampa Bay Lightning games and the concerts are a blast, but you will need to get to the Arena early to park close. The parking garages are expensive. There are outdoor lots in the vicinity that require short walks.

Inside the arena: outstanding sound system, clean rest rooms, lighting is state of the art. Concerts in the Arena are outstanding. Even the "nosebleed" seats are great.

Go- enjoy- have fun!

Amalie is an outstanding arena to view events, especially Tampa Bay Lightning games. There are no poor sightlines. Lots of good, diverse foods available for purchase. Parking is plentiful with reasonably priced lots within walking distance.

Love this arena comfortable clean wonderful experiences w concerts friends love going to hockey games here

Went for a concert. The seats were comfortable in section 101 row V. The concessions were super high. It was very hot outside and the water was around $5.00-6.00. They KNEW we would all buy it because of the heat.

Super clean. Very cold. Easy to park in the parking garage. Food within walking distance. I ate at Taste in Embassy Suites

What a performance by JT , and the concert set up was amazing ! The venue features a lot of great concerts , and sporting events. It is a great place to take the family for a fun day or night out.

Home to the, TAMPA BAY LIGHTING, every seat is a good seat for all events , with a view of the water out side, good parking all around. tack in a game have fun.

By elmame |

It was extremely well staffed . There were no line and everywhere Inwent a staff member was there to ask if I was okay and if I needed information

By SEADOGGG |

Nice venue in beautiful downtown Tampa. Make sure you go to furies live before hand that is where all the action is. They REALLY need fans at the entrance, you will roast if it is busy.

By Cece |

The staff at the Amalie Arena are amazing! From the parking attendants, to the ushers to the concession stand employees, everyone was over the top great!!!

No able to handle crowds at security and gate A. People passing out waiting after security area. So hot and slow. Worse than Disney

By VanillaAce |

Great outside gathering area with food and beverages to gather before an event. Also a beer garden to socialize during and after the event. Parking is conveniently located next to arena. Concourses are easy to navigate and all seats have great sight lines.

Visited for a Lightning game just this week—
EXCELLENT.

Everyone was polite, efficient. Obviously it was PACKED and they opened the doors a few minutes early and as hoards of people made their way in, it all went very quickly, despite the crowds.

They gave out loads of swag.
It was pride night and there were rainbows about and I didnt witness any hate or intolerance.

Restrooms were clean both times I visited. Condiment areas were clean, none of the trash was overflowing or anything like that.

Excellent, as far as this sort of venue goes for a sporting event.
Lots of good & bev options. Prices were outrageous but that's just how it goes at these things.
10 bucks for a pretzel
10 bucks for popcorn
you get the idea.

But overall, very well done. Would go again and probably will.

Really a great venue to see a concert. We stayed at the Embassy Suites which is within walking distance by anyone's standards. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food of course is way overpriced so try to eat beforehand. Nothing very close as Channelside is in a redevelopment phase. Good sound and good seating choices. I won't post photos of the Bob Seger concert out of respect for his wishes. Great show.

We went to see the Scorpions and Queensryche in September.. The Arena is very nice, spacious, and very well laid out..

I was in Tampa for the December 28th hockey game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Montreal Candiens...my favorite team. I can honestly say that I was thoroughly impressed with the arena and the setup that the Lightning ownership has setup for their team and their fans...it was a great experience. The Amalie Arena is conveniently located in downtown Tampa and close to the cruise port which means a variety of dining and parking options are available. It also offers many convenient and cheap transport options to shuttle fans to the arena. Family friendly atmosphere throughout. I bought "good" tickets for the game since I was treating myslef and sat in Section 218, which is in the Club seating area. The seats offered a great view of the ice from the second tier and had the bonus of exclusive food and beverage options behind each section. Although my team lost the game...all of the fans were courteous and had genuine affection for their hometown Bolts. The ownership and community has done a great job with this team...similar to experiences I have had in Nashville and Las Vegas with two premier hockey franchises. I will definitely come back to see more Lightning games at Amalie.

Amalie has taken on several different names in its history and advancements along the way. Concerts and sporting events are awesome here with the Lightning games being my favorite. I love Amalie.

Great concert venue. Other than it being terribly cold it was a comfortable show. Food and Beverage was priced like every other event.

Phenomenal NHL experience. Old school organ. Staff is helpful and friendly. Phenomenal atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Paul Simon was our third concert this summer. We loved all 3. We sat on the floor once, the back nose bleeds and the club section last night. Very clean place. Prices are laughable. Don't plan on drinking much. It's like 16 bucks a beer. We got 1 bottle of water and called it a day. You will not like this place if you are really tall or over 175 pounds.. I'm short and skinny and it's tight in any section. If you are heavy you will literally be wedged into any seat in the house. But it's a great venue and we'll be back.

We were very impressed at the area in Tampa. The place was full of Canadians cheering on the Maple Leafs. The Leafs never disappointed and pulled out a 4-2 win. The 50/50 was for just over $30,000 and the popcorn was hot and fresh. Parking was available across the street for $9.00 and it was a quick left turn onto the interchange to Kissimmee. The area has a very large rectangle score clock with full HD. Great evening at Amalie.

Went here for the Lightening game when staying downtown Tampa. What a great arena this is. So nice and lots of great food and beverage options.

Our first time at the Amalie Arena as we are new to the area. We sat in Section 130 Row H. This is a nice arena, terrific visability, but the seating is extremely uncomfortable. The seating is low and tilts slightly backward. I would liken it to the height of a very low toilet. Low seat height made ascending and descending from the seat a real challenge when guests seated to the left or right of you needed to exit the row. Seated in the chair my knees touched the back of seat in the row in front of me, there is minimal room between you and the seat in front of you. I am 5'8" tall my husband is 6'1".

By Khrista G |

The game was great! The beer prices are for the birds. $17.50 for a tall boy of beer. That is outrageous!!

By Shawn R |

Typical hockey arena. Nothing stuck out as extraordinary. Concourse felt overcrowded at times. Exit signage could be better.

By Cynthia F |

Came to this arena to see queen they forgot to state the seats were obstructed view which is wrong. I have been in venues all over the country and Tampa is the venue that had pulled this stunt

By BDZTravels |

We visited Amalie arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, in my endeavor to visit all NHL arenas. I parked at “Morgan Lot,” formerly known as “the green lot,” and had a simple time getting in and out. (May have been in part to the 9-2 shellacking the lighting experienced by the panthers as well.) Either way, as we crossed the street to the entrance we waited in a pretty long and disorderly line to enter the venue. All patrons had to walk up a large flight of stairs, and with people elbow to elbow, I could easily see this being a huge safety flaw. There wasn’t any great signage to where you needed to go until you got to the bottom of the stairs. No security enforcing orderly lines or anything. Just a mad free for all. To their credit though, the lines went fairly quickly.
Once inside, the lightning have a very ample sized team store. If you’re interested in a game puck, they sell them at that team store AFTER the first period ends. They will not sell them to you even 1 second before that period ends, so plan accordingly.
We went to their Italian venue and got a meatball sub and chicken parm sub. Both were overpriced and very pedestrian. It would be nice to see toasted bread with these sandwiches for better taste and quality.
We sat in section 128, and at over $250 per seat, felt very cramped. As an out of town FLA panther fan, I was very happy to see a 9-2 crunching by the panthers, and surprisingly enough, there were many other panther fans there! Lightning fans are sore losers as they started chanting “no cups,” in relation to the panthers. That may be, but you guys got your butts kicked and the panthers will be happy to do it again in the playoffs. We also purchased their souvenir popcorn bucket, but unlike other venues that have the same thing, Amalie Arena and the Tampa Bay Lighting are cheapskates by not allowing free popcorn refills, and charge $35 for it. Do better! If these seats weren’t free from winning them on VividSeats we would not have paid the money for it, because even though the price of these tickets match the price of seats in the furthest row of Madison Square Garden, these ticket prices are not family friendly and I would not return for those prices. But these teams are not really trying to attract the average American, they want the richer people and richer families it seems. A rich, entitled, sore loser fanbase. To their credit though, most people didn’t leave until the 8th goal. Pens fans and Flyers fans would have started leaving after the 4th or 5th goals.

The arena cheaped out on the public address system. Announcer may well be talking in gibberish, not understandable at all. All video and live “talkers” were inaudible. The music and sound effects were great. Overall a great venue. Amalie...fix the PA system!

By fiensiferum |

This was our first time at this arena. It was very clean and lots of choices for food. The seating was comfortable. Walking distance of many hotels. Good amount of police and felt very safe. We can’t wait to come back.

By Michelle D |

Seats are way too close! 25,000 people packed in like sardines! No social distancing, and no wonder Florida has high cases of covid, Better wear a mask atleast if you go there for an event.

By Chris M |

I have been to several event here and they are always safe and secure. From Disney to the Circus always Great!

By Rod K |

We watched an ice show here and the arena was about 40% partitioned off to accommodate the show. Plenty of food vendors, nice clean restrooms, and easy access for wheelchair bound patrons make this a wonderful arena for many uses. This is modern with super score boards and lighting. The seats were more comfortable than we expected too and parking was a breeze.

By Kevin M |

Very entertaining place to watch professional hockey. We have been going there every year for several years, when we are in Florida. Always are than satisfied with the entertainment value.

Wonderful arena. We had booked parking in advance. Entertainment in advance of game outside. So much fun going to a hockey game in warm weather!

By CanJam67 |

As a fan of the visiting team the staff were super friendly and helpful. Tampa fans were also good natured. Food choices are many and the staff at food courts were also amazingly friendly. Nice rink to visit with a super fun atmosphere!

I am basing this review on a once only visit whilst on holiday to see Ice hockey game , and comparing to Tropicana field where we saw Baseball a week earlier.

Access to the arena was easy and we chose to park at ybor Centro and take the free teco trolley..

The build up to the game was great with music, dancers and a countdown before the doors opened.
All of the staff and stewards were very helpful and all thanked us for attending, with one steward taking time to show us what to expect inside the arena before it filled up.
Our seat was great and we enjoyed the game, unfortunately Tampa Bay lighting lost on this occasion.
The problem we had was with the food and drink in general as it was very expensive. $7 for a bottle of coke and around $4 for a bottle of water.
Food was also expensive, we had a small plastic bag of popcorn which was very poor quality and mostly contained unpopped kernels. Double barcardi and orange was around $23 , in Madeira beach this cost around $5.50
As a result of costs did not eat anything else here
Compare this with Tropicana field where a refillable souvenir soda was $12 which we shared , and popcorn in a baseball hat at $11.
Why so different between stadiums?
Felt sorry for regular fans who pay this every week, such a shame as we had money to spend but saw no value in spending it here

Most arenas only have vendors selling food and what not but A PDQ?! Yessss I love that so much! I pigged out! Also GOOOOOO BOLTS!

By Danna |

We really enjoyed the foodie eateries in here! Beautiful building! Public washrooms in free water available. A night market as well.

We went to the Fleetwood Mac show on Monday evening. Great clean , safe and well organized concert. Keep up the great work Amalie Arena.

Amazing venue not a bad seat in the room. Been there for this concert and a game and not once disappointed, only thing is the app to use never works inside the building, and they did charge me 2 times for the same thing, not worth my time to dispute it, I definitely will never use the app.

By flyfishh |

Let’s me start to say, what a concert!
It was The End of the Road Tour for Kiss!
We had a great time.
Not our first time here, but always impressed with this place, alway very clean and accesible.
Plenty of places to eat and drink, keep in mind food and drinks are kind of expensive, but once again this is normal for all this type of events.
Examples; Beers 16.00 I had some tenders with fries and payed 17.00 I know is a lot but I guess is part of the event.
Bathrooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
Will definitively go again!

The arena is great and the personnel very friendly and helpful. All concessions are pricey when compared to other venues I have been to.

Ok... Amalie itself is ok. Most ticket prices for anything there is sky high. But do Not try and park there. It is a nightmare. Park in Ybor and take the trolly to the aquarium. Or get an uber walk half a mile towards Ybor. It will save you over an hour of the parking nightmare that it is.
