2 of 408 Best Attractions in Pittsburgh

Anyone who had a bicycle in the 60's and 70's will enjoy the flood of memories that ultimately arise. Well worth the trip to walk through this self guided 2 story collection. Make sure to leave a voluntary donation.

We stopped in to check out Bicycle Heaven and let me tell you it was unbelievable. Even if you are not a bike fan this place is worth checking out. One of the coolest places you will see. To see the history of bikes in one place is just so cool. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if in Pittsburgh.

This is an exceptional visually stunning collection of bicycles. Everything is in pristine shape. if you rode bicycles as a child this would be a fascinating place to rekindle old memories and show your own children what life was like before the internet.

If you like bicycles and memorabilia this place is well worth the visit. Very unique and staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable

Was lucky to have found this highly rated attraction on trip adviser. We are not bicycle enthusiasts but this was wonderful. Floors filled with bicycles and parts. Very well arranged and appealed to the artist in me. No admission fee though we did leave a donation.

You don't have to love bikes to find this place incredible. One could easily spend two hours in this museum. There are two floors and several rooms filled with bicycles of all shapes and sizes, old and new, big and small. I particularly liked the bike that the Monkees rode, as well as the two bikes that were wrapped around a tree after a tornado (see photos). They depend on donations and the money they get from fixing bikes. Pay what you can. (That made me give even more of a donation that I would normally give if there was an entrance fee.) The place is so much fun.

Excellent time capsule! Best suited for bicycle fans....and old-timers who remember these bikes and rode them!
What a joy. Eye candy for days. Relive your childhood and smile.
You can visit many times & still see new things.
Thanks for being here! Loved it! Will return!

Absolutely awesome! A must see. Multiple floors and each floor is different! As a family who thoroughly enjoys going on bike rides it was totally cool seeing all of the vintage bikes and really all of the bikes throughout the years. My favorites were the neon room and the Steelers section!

I’ve lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and I just went for the first time. It was incredible. So many unique antiques. Everything from bicycles to Iron City beer cans to the Beatles, Elvis, and so much more. Craig is the owner - he’s so nice and built this entire museum himself. There’s a 400 foot long toy train that goes around the entire second floor. The museum is free but donations are what keeps the place up and running. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Amazing time capsule of vintage bikes from our childhood, particularly the Schwinn Stingray and Krate line, and 1960's competitors. If you were a child of the 60s or 70s this will be an awe inspiring trip down memory lane. Every possible version and options for 'muscle bikes' on display and zillions of other Hollywood, silver screen, 10 speed, and other custom bikes from wood frame, 40's space ship inspired, to classic sting ray and all of the European and American copies from the hay day of bike slicks, wheelie bars. Bicycle Heaven is a time capsule that legitimately belongs in the Smithsonian Museum. You could spend a week there and not take it all in. The owner and friendly visionary that put this Museum together is 'Craig', a true labor of love. A wonderful and fun place to visit, and my choice for most interesting place to see in and near Pittsburgh.

We planned 2 week 2K mi vac touring NE from Pittsburgh to Buffalo to Niagara Falls to Finger Lakes to Watkins Glen to Laconia to Bar Harbor. First day leaving Auto train to Pittsburgh my wife became very concerned about bike rack to point of stopping and donating our bikes and continuing w journey. We were on 2nd day of trip in Pittsburgh riding our bikes on riverside and ran up on Bike Heaven. Later that am on Sunday Jason (mechanic) helped me tighten rack few minutes later Craig (owner) came out n helped me bungee the bikes for reassurance. Saved our vac. 2500 miles and 2 wks later we were on our way back to FL. I am very grateful to staff of Bike Heaven. Craig n Jason were genuinely reassuring my wife that rack n bikes were secure. This museum and Staff is amazing as town of Pittsburgh. Inner city has small town charm about it thanks to venues like Bike Heaven and their staff.

Such an awesome place! For anyone who has any interest in biking, this is the place to visit! Talked with the owner, fascinating guy! TAKE THE TIME TO VISIT, You wouldn’t be disappointed!🚴🏻♀️

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. The reviews were intriguing, and rightly so. The place is amazing! Don't expect a typical museum. It's much more than that! Go. You won't be sorry!

I have a great experience at Bicycle Heaven. I got my bike repair there and all of the employees are very friendly. Talk to Craig, Henry and Mike and they are super helpful. The price is cheapest out of all the shop I have been to. I will be back for more service. Thank you for being there.

This museum is well worth the time. I didn’t realize there were so many Schwinn bikes. There were versions of Schwinns that I previously had: Continental and Sting Ray. Thousands of bikes! Highly recommend.

HAVE TO visit here if nearby or in area. Bike stuff is awesome but pop culture stuff puts over the top. Free but please leave a donation so they can stay open. Will def be back!

If you are in Pittsburgh, Bicycle Heaven is a must-see. Friendly to those young and old, the massive display of over 5000 bikes blew my mind as well as my sons’. The original bikes used in some of my favorite movies as well as ones I used to ride myself way back when wherever I turned my head, you better be prepared for some reminiscing!

My kids and I enjoyed the unique memorabilia and highly recommend spending an hour or two exploring this museum/full service bicycle shop. On another note, my older son left his cell phone behind only to be discovered by the staff well after we left. I am so grateful to the employees for finding it.

I don't think there is any museum in the world dedicated to bicycles that even comes close to this fantastic...as it's titled...Heaven!

Such an awesome find! And they are OPEN for business. A nice change of pace for our vacation! My family loved it!

Besides an amazing bicycle museum experience, my wife and I visited Bicycle Heaven in order to search for some rare parts/accessories for our restored 1972 and 1975 Schwinn Continental 10 speed bikes. Craig and Henry eagerly took on the task of finding the Schwinn tool kit bag that attaches to the seat back for a more than a fair price. I also was hoping to get the original rear reflector which was rarely on eBay and typically too expensive and/or damaged. Henry was amazingly patient in searching through the vast museum and after I had given up, he came up with a new original reflector part and connector in its original Schwinn package! The owner Craig also gave my a very fair price for this as well. My wife then fell in love with a blue seat from a whole wall of seat choices to add to her 1975 Blue Schwinn Continental.
Then came the real fun of spending a couple of hours exploring this amazing museum and sharing stories with Craig (and the very kind staff). He has an amazing passion for people and their bicycle memories. Even though he was pulled in several directions to help other visitors, he made my wife and I feel very special and appreciated. We will always remember this trip. Thanks Bicycle Heaven!

Wow, what can I say this place is beyond belief. Especially enjoyed seeing bikes from my childhood. The owner is very friendly and if I'm ever back I'm getting that stingray with the banana seat.

This is not your run of the mill museum - this warehouse has every bike probably ever made and then some. This is worth a couple of hours to explore all that is here. Despite the title this is NOT just for bike lovers, everyone will appreciate this.

Bicycle heaven is one place where you see the american bike history and also the origins?! You could live again your childhood when you ride all time! The owner and the crew are nice and answer your questions I'll recommend to visit

We went there today with my little ones and it was such a fun experience!! The staff was very friendly and there was so many interesting little things to look at and so many cool bikes!!

Wow. Every time I stop by Bicycle Heaven I see a new bike on display. I usually visit the museum about twice a year. Once in the summer when I swing by on my bike from the river trail. And once in the winter just to get out of the house. It seems like when I stop by. I see people looking for the bike they had as a kid.

Bicycle Heaven is a must-see for Pittsburghers or visitors!
A gem on the North Side with access if you are biking the trail, or lots of parking if you are driving over.
Once inside you will be in awe of ALLLLL the bikes, thousands of them.. Famous (Pee Wee Herman, ET and Lance Armstrong) but also your heart will be filled as you remember and see bikes of your childhood. I guarentee the bike you road as well as your friends is on display.
Go and Enjoy, Your heart will be filled!

It actually lives up to its ostentatious name! 6,000 bikes under one roof and just enough interpretation through sinage for it not to be overwhelming. I an a ultilitarian biker but still loved it. Defeinately worth the effort to get there and likely an incredible place to find parts. I likely asked the wrong guy but I did have some questions and was pretty much dismissed with the answers and did not try anyone else. Without that experience, it would be a five star review hands down.

Free parking in a gated lot and free entrance to the museum and working bike repair shop. Amazing collection of bicycles and other items in fantastic condition! We met the owner/collector Craig and enjoyed chatting about his fun "hobby" - nice guy and truley passionate about bikes. Great trip down memory lane and seeing unique items that just put a smile on your face. If you're looking for something different to do rain or shine, pop in and visit - make sure to go to second floor to see it all! Vending machine snacks available, a nail salon/masseuse on premise and restrooms. Our 1st time in Pittsburg - We did trifecta tour of Bicycle Heaven, Music museum next door, and Randyland nearby. Fun way to spend a few hours!

If you havent visited Bicycle Heaven, you must add it to your list! You will see every kind of bicycle from every age. There are affordable soveniers for all ages. There are also interesting collections of favorite musicians from the baby booming era. They also have bicycle repair and bicycles for sale.
If you do purchase a bicycle, the Northshore River Trail is right around the corner.

Wonderful!
I saw the description of this museum on WQED. There are thousands of bikes hwre. A trip down memory lane.

If you are into bicycles at all, this is a must visit. So much inventory to look at. It doesn’t seem like much when viewing from the parking lot but there is also a second story. The space is stuffed full! We spent an hour admiring the many bikes and parts galore. Definitely add this to your list when in Pittsburgh.

Was looking for somewhere to go on a rainy Sunday and stopped in. My wife and I ended up taking a huge trip to childhood memories here. You won't believe the number of bikes or the variety, just a cool shop put together by the owner - who was working on the floor on a bike and spent 20 minutes talking to us about his shop. Cool spot.

If you’re a cycling enthusiast or just a fan of history, quirky stuff, or fun this place is a must see in Pittsburgh.
You could spend a week here and still find something you had not seen the time before.

Bicycle heaven is a must see and I’m not even a bicycle nut. They must have thousands and thousands of bikes. They have bikes from every era and they tell the history of our country by the bikes. There are bikes That have that big front tire and you sit above the tire. They have bikes that were in history. They have bikes that you had as a kid and they have bikes that your parents had it’s just unbelievable it’s wonderful I would like to go again I don’t very often give generous donation but I did hear because history is in this bike shop and it needs to be preserved Must See

My husband and I are from Pittsburgh and were looking for something to do on a dreary Sunday afternoon. I suggested Bicycle Heaven and to be honest, my husband was less than enthused. But as soon as we entered, he was sold. This museum is awesome. You don't have to even be into bicycles to appreciate the huge collection of bikes and all sorts of memorabilia. There is so much to look at and stimulate the senses, it's worth several visits. The owner and his son both greeted us and were very friendly. I am now recommending this museum to everyone I know.

Wow. What a surprise! Loaded with all kinds of bikes! Fun for the bike enthusiast or anyone who has a childhood memory of riding a bike. Definitely make this a stop on your tour of Pittsburgh.

This place is fantastic. Bicycles from every vintage. Thousand upon thousand of bicycles. And other neat stuff as well. A wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Free admission.

You can spend all day there looking at all the different bicycle stuff there. We were riding our bikes along the trail and decided to check it out. Very good time!!!!

This (free) museum is a very unique collections of bikes- it will take you back to your childhood. And the staff is enthusiastic about their collection- two very full floors. Allow about 45 minutes.

Recently started a refurbishment project on a vintage Schwinn and Bicycle Heaven had everything and anything that I could possibly need to complete the renovation. The staff was phenomenal with answering my questions and providing original parts to replace worn/stripped parts from the build. I was impressed with the range of bikes available and will be stopping back down to purchase a bike in these times were finding reasonably priced bikes, or bikes in general is hard to come by. The museum is amazing too, filled with history and some really cool and funky bikes, a great place on the North Shore to kill some time and learn a thing or two about bikes!!!

Worth seeing. Two floors of bikes, but mostly old and historic bikes. Pretty eye-opening to see how styles have changed. And Pee-Wee's bike! Easy to spend almost an hour walking around, but if you want to buy a bike or get one fixed, that's their main business. A little off the beaten track, but worth the visit!

We visited Bicycle Heaven while in Pittsburgh to see Bruce Springsteen. Looking for something to do during the day prior to the show, and wow, Bicycle Heaven did not disappoint! It truly was an amazing place to visit. Over 5000 bicycles with such great historical significance! From bikes for the Beatles and Monkees to Pee Wee Herman and rare Bowden bicycles, it was an awesome experience browsing thru all of their bikes and collectibles. I told my sister and her family to go the day after Bruce and they did and they loved it too! Would highly recommend; plus there is no admission fee (donations are suggested and well worth it!) and no parking fees. If you have an hour or so to spend in Pittsburgh, Bicycle Heaven is worth checking out!

Great time. The owner is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and easy to talk to. So many bike to look at and a lot of memorabilia as well. Would recommend

Went here over the weekend, met the owner. What a range of stuff is packed into this slightly random museum. Bikes from $50 to $50000. Spent a few happy few hours wandering around with my jaw dropped the while time.

We came directly from the airport (from Seattle) and this place was even better than I was expecting. Remarkable collection of vintage bikes that will open the memory flood gates of your youth. I love that it is part museum, part attic, part bike shop. Give yourself plenty of time, because you won’t want to leave.

This is an amazing place. 6,000 mainly old bicycles, beautifully presented. Admission is free (donations accepted). Highly recommend if you are in Pittsburgh.

Bikes, bikes and more bikes. Two floors of bikes of every sort. From wooden-wheeled 19th century velocepeds to a 139 mph record setter and everything in between. I found my first Schwinn, ballon whitewall-tired with the tank horn. Sting rays. Peewee Herman’s cruiser, the Monkee’s quadricycle, a Hopalong Cassidy model complete with holsters and cap-guns. Accessories from every era. You can get your bike repaired too. It was a pleasure to speak with Craig about his collection and be totally awestruck.

If you're visiting Pittsburg and want to see a "one of its kind in the world" museum, come to Pittsburgh's NORTHSIDE & visit BICYCLE HEAVEN. It's the world's largest collection of bicycles! From antique "boneshakers" to bikes used in many famous movies to the rare Bowden Spacelander (they have 17!). BICYCLE HEAVEN has them all. It's an amazing museum for family, friends or couples. You will simply be astounded at their massive and rare collection spanning over two floors in a huge warehouse. Plus...they sell hard to find bike parts and do expert bike repairs. And the museum is FREE!! Stop on by...you are assured a great time!!!!! Free parking too!

Although quite impressed by the collection, I was taken aback by the misleading pricing on certain merchandise (magnets). They are kept in a clear box with $5 stickers on the lid so I picked 2. A young (Asian looking) worker then told me that the price is actually $10 each and I could just give him the money.
There was no receipt for my purchase, so it had that "dishonest" feel about it.
Perhaps they should be clearer AND properly record their transactions?

The place itself is a work of art. Road trip worthy.Gotta see it to believe it. Been there bought the shirt.I will be back.

Make this a must see while in Pittsburgh. Large collection of vintage, fully restored bikes, oddities, collectibles. Expect to spend 2-3 hours. Family friendly.

If you are visiting Pittsburgh or live here, do NOT miss Bicycle Heaven!!!!!! You will NOT leave disappointed!! There is absolutely something for everyone! Make sure you have time to look through the entire museum!! There is a surprise around every corner. The most unique display of bikes and memorabilia!!!! Even if you are not into bicycles don’t let that stop you! I take and or suggest to everyone I know to stop by and they all have thanked me!!!! If you are a bike enthusiast, it’s an absolute must!!! If you are in need of a bike( new or used) it’s a must! If you need a part or a repair, it’s a must!!! Just go see what I mean!!!!! Enjoy!!!

I visited this gem for the first time today. I’ll be completely honest and say that I don’t bike, don’t really have an interest in bicycles or plan to start riding. But this is such a cool museum! Lovely owner and a mind blowing assortment of stuff. Absolutely worth checking out and meandering around in. And I think they’re still saying they’re closed but they are open.

Excellent bicycle mechanic service!!! Always gets the job done right. The museum itself is full of treasures to look at and some to buy. Absolutely Incredible glad we have this here in the burgh!

We just had a great first time visit to Bicycle Heaven. Loved it! Thousands of vintage bikes, bike parts, posters, literature and other bike paraphernalia! I could visit ten times and not see everything. Brought back a lot of good memories of first bikes. I will definitely go back

1 word: Awesome. Allow at least an hour or more to really appreciate the uniqueness of this place. Dont get turned off by the area.

What a gem, and aptly named. I was in heaven. A stunning collection of bicycles, with prototypes, rare, historically important and a interesting bikes. There is something to see and ponder anywhere you look, and small shrines to Pittsburgh sports, Elvis, bikes donated by their owners , and all sorts of things. There are glass cases filled with vintage bike parts from different eras and styles of bikes, and replacement tires, fenders and any kind of replacement part you can imagine. Don't forget to buy yourself a Bicycle Heaven "Oh Shift" shirt!

Regardless of your interest level in bicycles, this place will delight you to no end. Fascinating bikes, other vehicles, and artifacts from all over the world. It is obviously the product of passion and the desire to share it with the world. Seemingly endless things to study, marvel at, and smile at. The owner, Craig, and his staff are friendly and committed to this incredibly cool place. It seems like there’s something surprising and cool around every corner.

Great place, very big collection of cool bicycles - from vintage to new ones. Incredible kind and talkative owner. Regards :)

This place is absolutely sick. Miles of cool collectible bikes and various parts and paraphernalia. Highly recommend stopping in, definitely gotta make it to the second floor. It’s HUGE up there and has a ton of cool bikes!

I grew up in Pittsburgh but left when I was 18. I'm 52 now and went back for a visit back in August. This place is unbelievable. My brother still lives there but had no clue about this place. I saw it online and gave it a try. It's free. Donations are accepted but we couldn't believe how much cool stuff was in there and how clean it was. You will not be disappointed.

Even if you are not an avid cyclist, you will be amazed at the bicycles that they have in this museum/shop.

Awesome! I can’t recommend strong enough. So cool. You can even see the original pee wee Herman bike. One of four in the world.

So many cool bikes - so little time! I want to ride every bicycle A great historical walk through the evolution of bicycles.

We have visited all 50 states and this hidden gem is one of the most unique parts of Americana we have run across. Included among the 6,000-plus bikes are some of the oddest and most memorable rides along with bobbleheads and mementoes. Bicycle Heaven allows everyone to step back in time, reminisce about their best childhood memories and share those experiences with children who are eagerly creating their own memories. It's well worth the time and the hardest part might be keeping your hands off so many bikes. Also take time to meet the owner and chat with the workers -- they're the best. We'll definitely be back.

A bicycle lover's dream! We're in Pittsburgh for a Steelers game and had some time, heard about this place, and it was super neat. It's a little off the beaten path, but the place couldn't be cooler. Bikes from every decade, some super rare stuff that I've never seen before. They had everything from the Beatles bikes to the one and only Pee Wee Herman's. There's so many little rooms, it's a little confusing but that just adds to the adventure. You can enter any room and find a whole other theme and experience. They've got stuff covering all the walls and the whole ceiling, so if you go here, don't forget to look up as well! I strongly recommend to everyone.

This place is incredible!! When visiting Pittsburgh, this is a must see! You will not be disappointed!

Last minute visit to BH before a Pirates game left us wanting more. A really Spielberg nostalgia fest as you see the line of Schwinn Stingrays from childhood -- the Monkees' 4-seater -- early fiberglass bikes and more. FREE! And you are free to wander to your heart's content. It's two floors of American Pickers with a bike obsession.

Amazing collection of all things bicycle. A creative and colorful feast for the eyes. Even if you aren’t a cyclist, it’s a funky fun place to visit. The owner is super friendly.

If you just follow your GPS or smart phone, you might have a little difficulty finding this place. If you type in 1800 Preble, your GPS and smart phone will lead you to a street blocked by a gated fence. The entrance is off of a fenced in parking lot on the corner of Columbus and Metropolitan. The entrance to the parking lot is on Columbus. Once I got inside, I was dumbstruck by the sheer number of bicycles in this place. There had to be thousands of bicycles spread between two floors. There is a large number of Schwinn bicycles and if you looked around you could probably find the one you rode on as a kid (I did, a light blue Schwinn Continental). There are historical bicycles, technology advancing bicycles, bicycles from movies, one-of-a-kind bicycles, and first-of-a-kind bicycles. There's a working repair shop and regular bicycle sales shop. I imagine if you're trying to repair or refurbish an old Schwinn bicycle, Bicycle Heaven would have the original part. You can also rent bicycles from Bicycle Heaven and ride on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail that's only a block away. Don't forget to support the museum by getting one of their embroidered t-shirts or sweatshirts. You can also just donate money. The next time I come back, I'm bringing my friends.

Fantastic place for all ages ! Too many bicycles to even count. Large train and track dusoended from the ceiling. Fabulous asdortment if music memorabilia. Miscellaneous items from movies. Etc. Pewee Hermans bicycle. Fonzs pinball machine. Etc.

Didn’t know what to expect. I thought I was going to help get a new bike. but this place is awesome!!! Fun for everyone. Can’t wait to go back

We were amazed at the number of bikes in the museum as well as the age of some — all kinds & sizes. Very interesting reading about the style of bikes made during the various decades!! Craig (owner) was there & is very friendly & willing to share his knowledge. Definitely worth a visit when in Pittsburgh!

A maze of rooms on two floors with everything bicycles. Parts & bikes fill floors, walls & the ceiling. There were more bikes & things than I imagined. Free museum repairs & sells bikes. They rent models out for movie & television sets. There were many very old & original models. I liked the Monkey’s quadruple bike the best.
We spent about an hour here, it was a 5 minute drive from downtown, there is free parking in the front & we made a donation at this free museum.

I lived in Pittsburgh for 25 years but just now had the chance to visit Bicycle Heaven last weekend while visiting from out of town, and my husband and I LOVED it. Thousands of bikes, ranging from extremely rare collectibles to ones used in movies to those that are just plain nostalgic (Huffy bikes from the 90s!) A really fun experience to walk through. Admission is free of charge (donations are suggested), and parking is free. This place is pure Pittsburgh: unique, kitsch, the product of hard work and time, and full of friendly people. I’ll be recommending it to anyone visiting Pittsburgh.

This building is loaded with bicycles of all types. Lots of schwinns. Some unusual bikes. Two floors. Give yourself 1.5 hours and look everywhere including ceiling. Curator very friendly

Super super cool museum aaand bike shop! Could spend hours looking around. Tons of art, bikes, guitars and the people are great

This time machine of bicycles is fascinating. You really need to take your time and look at each and every bicycle to see what is unique. In addition, if you are restoring a classic bike, this is the place to contact. Always love running into the owner in a random spot. He will point out some unique fact about the bike that you never thought about. It is a very unique experience and nothing you will ever see anywhere else.

I went back in time to when I was a kid and saw my first bike! What a great place to hang out and enjoy this experience with my grand children. A simpler time. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will return again.

What a hidden gem! This museum runs completely on donations and is one of the most amazing places our family has ever visited. There are so many amazing bicycles through different eras. There are also some pretty famous bicycles from tv shows and movies (including the bike from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure) along with other interesting items that can start a conversation! I cannot stress enough the uniqueness of this museum. It truly is something to see!

Bikes here so many
Every version of Schwinn
It’s worth a trip
Free admission but you can donate
You can even rent a bike
Or buy a bike
You will be inspired

This place is something to see even if your not into bikes! They have bikes from 1890 till the present year. They have a few bikes from celebrities like the Pee Wee Herman bike, the 4 seater bike that the Monkees rode, they have a few Beetle bikes also. I seen several of the bikes that my wife and I had when we were both kids like the Evil Knievel bike, Barbie bike etc. They have a bike that a tree grew around which was very cool to see. They don't charge anything to go through it but I liked it enough that I gave a nice donation in their donation box. The owner was on hand and very friendly as well as the other staff members also. The owner was nice enough to take time out of his day and talk to us and tell us about some the history of the store and the bikes. Recommend Highly!

OMG! We love this place. My wife and I were transported back to our youth. We never ever saw so many bikes, unique bikes, collector bikes, outrageous bikes, movie bikes and even more bikes. Great place and a very engaging and knowledgeable owner. This place made me want to buy parts from the ‘60s (sissy bar, banana seat, butterfly bars, extended forks) to trick out our recreational bikes for our 55+ community in Virginia. This place is a must see!!!

You will only enjoy this place if: a) you love bikes; b) you ever owned a bike; c) you ever had a bike that you wished you owned but never did; or d) you have a pulse. Seriously, this place is amazing. Thousands of bikes - old bikes, new bikes, regular bikes, whacky bikes. Banana seats, forks, handle bars, name plates, did I mention banana seats! Who knew that they still make those!? This is a lovingly curated museum - a must see. Take the time to talk to the owner, too - super nice guy.

Wow what a place! Probably nothing like it anywhere else in the US. From museum quality bikes to nostalgic Schwinn Stingrays they have it all. Fun staff that will talk bikes all day.

A really gem! Well worth the visit, I was amazed to see some famous and rare bikes along with bikes I used to have (but these are in much better shape). Owner/staff so friendly and knowledgeable.

We had the most wonderful time visiting Bicycle Heaven...a treasure for sure. We were able to vivit with the owner and hear all about the 30 years he ahs spent amassing this amazing collection and the creation pof the museum. We actuall went back a secon time to share the experience with our friends that were also in Pittsburgh.

This place was a pleasant surprise! So cool to look back on old bikes and see bikes you never saw before. Kids and I had a great time. Staff was very nice.

Two floors jam packed with bikes! From an early Draisine to Stingrays, they have it all. Friendly staff, cold drinks and a fully functional bike shop included

An incredible array of bikes, components and memorabilia. It's the only place I stopped to see while visiting. Craig is a very friendly owner too!

The museum is awesome. Memory lane for all ages from kids to grandparents alike! You really can’t go wrong with visiting this truly unique museum.

It’s a huge warehouse collection the owner’s been collecting for 30 years. From the earliest bike to the modern ones, especially the 70s collection, it offers wide range of types of bikes. The place is super fun and nostalgic!

Very interesting place to visit on the near North Side of Pgh. No charge, although there is a "donation box" that you will want to contribute to after seeing the displays. More bikes than you've ever seen on one place, many refirbed for sale. You will be glad you took the time to visit.

This place was SUCH a fun surprise! We couldn’t believe the sheer number of bikes and parts. There are thousands! They have displayed the bikes in such a fun way, too! The owner is so nice and has been collecting for 30 years. We had some laughs as well as fun times strolling down memory lane. Our kids 16,13&12 also REALLY enjoyed our time here! HIGHLY recommend adding this to your Pittsburgh itinerary! There is no fee to get in, so be sure to leave a nice donation!

One of the coolest places I have ever visited! It’s completely free (you’ll want to leave a donation by the end), fun to do, and a learning experience. Went looking for a bike to buy and spent 2 hours looking around in amazement. There is no place like it and I’m looking forward to my next visit there!

I did not expect such a great place when I visited. Lots of interesting items to look at with many antique bikes. A hidden Gem to take friends and out of town visitors

Had a great time. It is very different and nice place to visit. Tour is absolutely free. You can find all kind of bikes here and owner of this place is very welcoming and nice.

With most musuems in Pittsburgh costing $20 per person, it was great to find this free display of 6000+ bikes across 150 years of history. My wife and I had a great time here (and we don't ride bikes).

Most go to BH to see the most amazing collection of bicycles !!! What many don't know is hidden in the collection is the most skilled bike Tech in the area, Brian ! I've always felt secure after he's tuned my classic Beast of the East, Cannondale. My hat's off to Mark, Henry and Brian....Keepin us rollin !
THANK YOU .

This museum is a little off the beaten path, but worth a visit. The breadth of the collection is stunning. There is so much packed into a dense space and arranged very thoughtfully. Don't miss the 2nd floor, which is the heart and grand finale! Free entry, but be sure to donate so that this place will still be around for others to enjoy.

Great. Found my Schwinn grey ghost! Amazing collection and owner is on hand to share his knowledge. Can park at messenger and use heritage bike path.

Awesome gem of hundreds if not thousands of bikes and other historical finds. The children age 3 and 5 had a blast.

A lot of fun. Will bring you back to your childhood. Near bike trail. Amazing collection . Something for everyone. Way exceeded expectations.

This place was AWESOME!!! They had so many neat movie prop bicycles like Pee-Wee Herman’s bike, a replica ET bike, a bike from A Man Named Otto, one ridden by the Monkees, one ridden by Viola Davis in Fences and that’s just to name a few!!! The team there is also SO welcoming and friendly. They’re available to answer any questions! Truly unique and wonderful experience!

This was certainly the most number of bikes I've ever seen in one place. Everything from the ordinary to the collectible. It was easy to spend 45-60 minutes walking the place and taking it all in. The kitchy description tags add to experience. Easy location to find and tons of free parking. The shop is a prop source for Hollywood and there's everything from one of four bikes made for Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure to the ones written by stars in other recognizable movies. And lots of reminders that it wasn't your baseball cards you should have implored your mother not to throw out, but your bike!

A great activity for a rainy day. Whether you are a bike aficionado or not, you’ll still get a kick out of looking through this collection. Impressive number of bicycles with a neat history surrounding them.

When in Pittsburgh, you gotta check this place out. A huge, I mean huge, assortment of bicycles, including bicycles used in movies (Pee Wee Herman's is here), as well as bicycles featured in other movies and shows.
You will see bicycles, from your childhood, from other countries and also see some weird stuff too (don't miss the bicycle eating tree).
You can take a few hours in this place or breeze through for some of the highlights but it's definitely worth the trip.

Loved all of the bikes and memorabilia!! Didnt know there were so many varieties. Seen many from my youth.

My son and I went together and thought their collection of bicycles from back in 1880 was so interesting. They have got an example of practically everything that was tried out as the bicycle evolved. So fun. Not a carefully ordered classic museum. But that was the fun part - the discoveries. My son saying, "That was my very first bike when I was a kid!"

The museum is great with all the little themes going on around the place and something there will always catch your eye. Wonderful service and a great place to spend the day!!! and buy a bike ;)

Pleasantly surprised. There is so much to look at, memorabilia and a crazy number of unique bikes. Brought back memories of my childhood 😊
Would not recommend for toddlers.

This place IS NOT closed!!! It is absolutely amazing! So many cool bikes with interesting info available. You could be here for hours and still not be convinced you saw it all. Give yourself some time to check it all out.

My family had a great time checking out this huge collection of bikes. There are some very unique bikes in this collection and the owner was great.

Super great place to support, especially on a rainy or cold day. Thank you for being open until 7pm as we are working from home all day and trying to hit some fun places after work.
Words are hard for me to describe the history under this roof. So just look at my pictures closely. There are about five interesting things to see in each of them.
Lots of history from the 1800s. And lots more from when you were a kid. Bikes, toys, art, advertising, movies, periodicals and more. It’s not just bikes. Lots of great jokes and stories along the way while walking thru this amazing place.
A welcoming smile from the owner and lots of background after that.
Thank you!

I was fascinated the whole time. I guess it helps if you are into biking (I am a bit) but I don't think it's necessary. Lots of different eras represented here (for example the Bowden aerogliders). They have a TON of bikes from the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. I was the most fascinated by the bikes from the very early 1900s and late 1800s (like the 1890s). He had several good specimens with wooden rims and in one case even wooden spokes. Some really old ones didn't have rubber tires but metal around the wood (see the bone crusher, lol). I thought it was pretty fascinating how once the penny-farthing design was replaced with the chain and sprocket design that bikes haven't really changed all that much in 130 years!!! It's really cool to see a bike made and ridder in 1910 that looks at its most basic design pretty much like what you'd ride today. Super friendly owner and staff. Drop and few bucks in the donation bucket please.

Bicycle Heaven is a dynamic bicycle art & entertainment venue... If you're in "the burgh" it's definitely worth the trip! You have to see the bicycle tree and the PeeWee Herman bike...and literally thousands of other cool bikes mixed with Americana and Pittsburghcana!

Must visit, 1-2 hour visit grabs the attention of all ages. Way more than actual bikes, also found VRoom, tree trunks with wheels, costumes, neon, string art and more. Rain or shine this is a fun trip down memory lane.

We weren’t sure when we pulled up what to expect. So glad we went in. Very friendly staff and great bikes EVERYWHERE! Something for everyone!

This absolutely exceeded my expectations!! What a hidden gem. No fee at door- optional donations only. It’s a must do!

A really amazing place, it's filled with bicycle interests and oddities from all around the world. They even found Pee Wee's missing bike!

This is the most amazing place!!! Not only are the employees friendly and knowledgeable they are a treat to listen to! We had such a great time looking at a ton of old and newer bikes! We bought a wonderful previously loved bike and a new bike rack for the car! This place is a must see!

Fascinating and wall to wall history! Be sure to look up and down so as not to miss anything. Notice the beautiful plank flooring on the second floor. Your eyes will alight on nuggets everywhere you gaze.

You arrive at what seems to be (and is) a warehouse. The first thing you see when you enter is rows and rows of bicycles, and you wonder why you came. Then you start wandering around and become enchanted. It's like a PBS special on the history of bicycles. There must be a thousand or more of them, with the oldest from the mid 19th century and some that have absolutely fascinating.stories, often set forth on descriptions attached to them. There's even a real tree that has grown around two bicycles. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, don't miss this place.. .

Surprise, surprises and surprised every step of the way. 2 stories of history, including many unexpected items.

This was a most awesome collection of bicycles that bring back those great memories of our old Spider bikes with bananna seats and sissy bars! My old 10 speed was there as well as our newer style hybrid and road bikes. What a wonderful stop while biking our way around the 3 Rivers Heritage Trail in Pitt. You must visit this place if you've ever ridden a bike!

My wife and I were traveling through Pittsburgh and had a few hours to kill. Saw Bicycle Heaven on Trip Advisor and decided to visit. We had a great time seeing all the bikes and other memorabilia in this store/museum. I was so excited when I saw the first bike I had ever owned - a coppertone colored Schwinn Sting-Ray! I highly recommend this place for both bicycle and non-bicycle lovers. All will enjoy and it will bring back fond childhood memories.

Very cool and different! If you like bikes this IS the place to go! Hundreds and hundreds hanging, sitting, etc. has a Marilyn Monroe and peewee Herman bike. Has many parts for all those of bikes. Is a repair shop, museum, and store. Had couple floors. So much to look at you don't know where to look first. Lots of schwinns. Cool to try to find bike u rode as kid. Little cluttered in some spots so hard to take pics sometimes. Other colllectible items on display too. $15 a little high (2025). Owner very friendly.

Just an unbelievable preservation of bicycle history. Well worth the visit!!! So many rare and interesting bicycles.

Bicycle Heaven is huge and very interesting! It is a must if you are in Pittsburgh and like bicycles.

We has to visit because my husband is obsessed with bicycles (he was riding one when we met and it's his primary vehicle around town). There are many many cool bikes to see, but us non-enthusiasts got bored so we hung out on sofas in the right corner of the second floor. Lol No problem, we relaxed and played on our phones while he explored. This is a really cool place that is FREE and worth at least a quick stop. It just keeps going!

This is a cool museum-like place with retail sales, too. Something for everyone! Check out the entire place and you'll see a lot of interesting history.

It was an excellent walk back in time via bicycles. This is one of the most unique places in America.

This place is definitely one of the most unique destinations in Pittsburgh, and maybe even the world. If you are a bicycle, motorcycle, or automotive enthusiast, it is a "must-see". If you are traveling to Pittsburgh for any reason, visit Bicycle Heaven.
Upon entering Bicycle Heaven, you are immediately immersed in a world of two-wheeled wonders. The sheer scale of the collection is awe-inspiring. It's as if every bicycle ever created has found its way into this place. From vintage classics to modern marvels, the variety is astonishing. No matter your level of interest or knowledge, there is something here that will captivate you.
The staff at Bicycle Heaven are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about their craft. They are more than willing to share their expertise, answer questions, and guide you through the exhibits. Their enthusiasm is contagious and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the visit.
One of the highlights of Bicycle Heaven is the extensive collection of rare and one-of-a-kind bicycles. As you explore the vast space, you'll come across stunning pieces of history that tell the story of how bicycles have evolved over the years. Each bike has a unique story to tell, and you can't help but appreciate the craftsmanship and innovation that went into their design.
Bicycle Heaven is a must-visit destination in Pittsburgh for any bicycle, motorcycle, or automotive enthusiast. With its incredible collection, knowledgeable staff, and engaging exhibits, it offers a unique and memorable experience. So, whether you're a local or a visitor to the city, make sure to include Bicycle Heaven on your itinerary.

Absolutely amazing and fun. Take your time walking through! Even if you aren't a bike fan, there is a lot of history told through their stories.

This is one of the best kept secrets of Pittsburgh everybody's had a bike in their life and I'm sure if they go here they'll find their first bike to their last bike and probably a favorite bike for me the Stingrays and the bones florges unbelievably cool thanks Craig for showing us around

This place is awesome if you’re looking for something neat in Pittsburgh. It’s free to get in, but they really appreciate donations. You can take as little or as much time as you want, but there’s definitely a lot to look at. All kinds of interesting or famous bikes and tons of antiques in cases all throughout the museum. Really creative and colorful space. I’ve had great experiences with the workers and even met the owner, who was super down to earth. Great for anyone into old aesthetics, art, or collections of any kind. 100% worth the trip and I would for sure go again with a different friend or a family member.

You may wonder ... How interesting can a bicycle museum be? Actually - REALLY interesting!!
The bikes are only part of the story. It’s the passion, the knowledge, and the quirky fun of the place that makes it a real gem. The thousands of hours of collecting and restoring - and the human stories that accompany so many bikes a males the place really special. And I’m not even a biker! Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Met the owner and he is so sweet.
(And be sure to check out Johnny Angel’s music museum next door. It includes a great used book collection of unusual titles.)

Wonderful experience with many memories shared with the owner. Great examples of all types of bikes, with an emphasis on historical and design elements. Picked up a vintage Sturmey Archer shifter, and waded through tons of vintage parts. A lady rode in with a flat and it was fixed on the spot. A treasure for Pittsburgh in every respect, especially with a compassionate and human touch. Don't miss it.

you could spend several days at this museum and not see everything, if you appreciate the history of cycling bicycle heaven is a must see.

If you’re in town visiting Pitt, Carnegie Mellon or Duquesne and want to see a little something extra I highly recommend this Pittsburgh point of interest! It’s ten minutes from downtown and a wonderful surprise that has so many items of interest that there is something inside to bring a smile to the face of each person in your group!

We were 4 adults ranging in age from 28-66 and all of us really enjoyed this place! The owner has created such a unique, quirky but very well organized bicycle museum. There are some rare gems in there, bicycles riden by the Monkees and the bike riden by PeeWee Herman. The place is a piece of art and the owner was very kind and engaging! We will go back again! It is worth the trip!

This is my second visit with friends and this is one of the attraction that I bring all my out of town fiends. The collection were just amazing bike collection and super friendly owner.

This place is unique and so interesting. I enjoyed everything about visiting here. Every part of this experience was amazing. From learning about a tons of different bikes and their history, to the signage around the store, to the antiques around the building. I would highly recommend visiting here to see it for yourself. Words can’t even do it justice. The passion in this place is felt throughout the experience and how organized and well put together everything is makes you happy to be there and get to enjoy all of it.

This is the best place ever! My boys loved it. There is so much to see. The owner is so nice. You think you see everything in one trip but you can't. I can't wait to go again. There is the pinball machine that The Fonz played in Happy Days. You can actually play it. Even if you are not a bike fanatic you will love this place. There is no charge to get in. Please visit and donate. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely loved it! So much to see. Awesome for kids as well. We loved the light up rooms. If you love vintage items this is also the place for you!

Great meeting Craig, Randy and Henry.... all 3 very helpful... Henry working on a pick up of reflectors for me, Randy - fixed up few quick items on a BMX frame restore -I'm working - added my back wheel, removed kickstand and loosened bottom bracket... 2 minutes... ... and caught Craig out on the floor asking if everything was ok.... man what a place... the bikes are absolutely amazing... i live 3 miles away in mt Washington..... ill be down there all the time now... for advice , help, purchase and just pure great bicycle experience. Visited 12/6/24: lots of different cool and vintage bikes and memorabilia to see! There’s all sorts of other displays to check out, too. Unique bikes unlike anything else!

I was there this weekend with my family. I've never seen a collection like this before. Everything is clean and well maintained and the staff are all very friendly.
I was the for 3 hours and feel like I need to go back because I didn't see it all.

There were so many cool bikes to look at when we visited this museum! There's so many unique items here that even if you go many times, you'll always notice something new. The staff is friendly and this is a great spot to check out if you want to visit a museum in the city. Highly recommend!

A Diamond(back) in the Rough in Pittsburgh. A must see if you like feeling like a kid again. Just go and you’ll understand.

Most people have owned at least one bike as a kid, and the odds are very good that you will see your childhood bike (same model, same color) among the thousands displayed in this two story museum. A visit to this “museum” is a nostalgic visit to your childhood whether you grew up in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, etc.
There is a little something for every former (or current!) bike owner here. They have the original MONKEES’ four seater bike from the opening credits of the tv show. They have PEEWEE HERMAN’s beloved 1947 cherry red Schwann racing bike. They have kid’s bikes built to capitalize on the fame of EVEL KNEIVEL, the FONZ, BATMAN, JOHN WAYNE, BILLY THE KID (with a six shooter holster on the front fork!), a STAR WARS Adult Trek Special Edition, a ROLLING ROCK beer brand Bicycle, a HARLEY DAVIDSON bicycle, a BEATLES Yellow Submarine bicycle etc., etc.
BEST OF ALL - the admission is FREE!
Here are the con’s -
We visited on a hot day (mid 90’s) and the a/c was having a tough time keeping the second floor cool.
The staff is likely made up of volunteers, and their people skills are not as polished as the museum owner’s. The staff was not rude, but they were not eager to help us purchase items like tshirts.
If you like tshirts, you might have to ask for help in finding your size. The sales bins were empty of the most popular sizes (M, L, XL). They had the shirts, but they were not put out for sale.
Finally, we had the opportunity to speak with the museum owner Craig Morrow. He was outside in the parking lot, cleaning up a battered child’s bike. This museum/shop is obviously a labor of love for him. He is personable and chatty.
VISIT, BUY souvenirs, and DONATE!

Bicycle Heaven is by far place everyone should visit in Downtown Pittsburgh. This huge museum has 6,000 bikes and so much more to view.
Craig the owner has put together such a wonderful collection for Everyone would enjoy for many hours. Free to visit and free parking very close to Museum entrance. Open almost every day of year. Hopefully able to spend many hours looking at all the Bicycle Heaven has to offer. They sell parts and bike fro every era imaginable
Should be a Must Visit in Pittsburgh

The amount of unique bikes in this museum is astonishing. There's a bike for every type of bike enthusiast. The best part of his collection is by far the Bowden Spacelander, I knew this bike was rare and for him to have so many blew my mind

We found this place searching for things to do in Pgh. Boy, what a great place. Two stories in an old warehouse.industrial facility, so full of bikes old, new and rare, bike memorabilia and related items. It' mind-boggling how many bikes they have. If you want to doe something in Pittsburgh for an hour or two, i highly recommend. You may even find your childhood bike, like I did.
Free more than ample parking, free admission (donations accepted), this is a a no-brainer.

Great museum. So many bicycles. So much history. So many antiques. So much memorabilia. Several exhibits involving musicians. Go without children, since they can't touch anything and that would be too tempting for them.

Enjoyed exploring the museum full of awesome bicycles and memorabilia. It's a work of art! Enjoyed seeing Pee Wee's bike, Beatles bikes, etc. and learning the history of bicycles.

So happy we stopped in! Craig's passion definitely shows throughout! So many WOW factors, be prepared to spend a couple hours there.

This museum is really amazing. I was stunned by the number and quality of the bikes from so many different eras. I saw the bikes of my youth (many many of them) and they looked as though they just came out of the box. You can spend hours here if you want and will never be bored. There were more and more bikes around every corner on both floors of the museum.

Wasn't sure what to expect but was way more then we figured, the museum/ store goes on forever and is a maze of bikes from every year and age range you could imagine. Friendly people and plenty to see.

Absolutely unreal collection of bike memorabilia and historic bicycles. Truly a one of a kind museum worth visiting for bike aficionados and simpletons alike! Lose yourself in the rare pieces and see how biking has evolved over the years. Snag a vintage piece or two while there!

Not sure why this gets such great reviews, maybe I’m not enough of a bike enthusiast. Hard to find North Shore “museum” 2 floors of every type of bike and thousands of bike parts, interspersed with some bikes used in movies and tv along with a lot of kitschy crap. They do sell, repair and rent bikes

If you’re into bikes, this is heaven found. Otherwise it’s interesting. Two floors of bicycles, their parts and various memorabilia. The visit is free but donations are accepted.

This place is hands down amazing! If you are into bikes of any kind or just want to take a trip down memory lane. The amount of inventory they have is incredible. I even got to see the first two bikes i ever owned. It was like being a kid again. Totally worth the trip if you are ever in the Pittsburgh area!

I am not a bicycle enthusiast but it doesn’t matter: this place is not to be missed! It is a delightful way to spend an easy, relaxed few hours completely surrounded by bicycles, bicycle parts but so, so, so much more. This is a treasure not to be missed. You absolutely will not regret going-guaranteed!

This place is incredible. I spent 2 hours there and couldn’t see everything. I will go again and pass along what a great place this is to family and friends

I rolled in from out of town, feeling stressed because I had a little mechanical issue and feared I might not be able to ride this weekend in beautiful Pittsburgh - Craig dropped what he was doing and adjusted my bike (for free)!
Then we wandered around for an hour, smiling the whole time as we discovered one unique treasure after another.
This place is not to be missed! There's no admission so it's the honor system to pay what you can to support it.

This place is absolutely amazing! They have an amazing collection of bicycles, both vintage and new. The owners were very nice and informative. I had to talk my husband into goimg to see this place and once there, he was absolutely blown away by it and has since told so many people about it. A definite must-see!

It was a nice museum to see. Have all kind of bicycles and heard it’s number1 bicycle museum and store in the world. Right here in Pittsburgh!!

We visited Bike Heaven. What a fun, interesting history lesson. I never knew there were so many different types. Well displayed in a fun setting. Highly recommend this for all ages. Free admissions donations encouraged.

The kids really did not want to go and they were arguing still when we were pulling into this industrial parking lot. it was quite different after we open the door. This place really had a lot, a lot of bicycles, most of them old and vintage bikes. There were two bikes jammed inside a tree trunk. We only spent an hour or so, but it was an hour well spent. The place was free, but we donated some money to express our appreciation for such an extensive collection.

This place was so much cooler than I could have imagined. An unbelievable number of bicycles in a warehouse type building. I never knew that I needed to see this- hope to return to rent a bike and ride along the River when the weather is warmer!

Was an amazing experience, so many great bikes. Would definitely recommend a must stop when in Pittsburgh.

Such a cool place. If you had a bike as a child it is probably in this building somewhere. I wish I would have planned more time to look we were here about an hour and a half but could have spent 2 or 3 hours or maybe even more looking around. So many cool bikes and so much history and so much other stuff to look at. I found a bike I had as a kid in the mid 90s and the owner let me look at it and check it out and said he had seen one for sale on Craigslist and sent me that direction. It had already sold but he took the time to personally help me. Very nice man. I included a picture of my childhood bike along with a photo of me as a kid when I got the bike as a gift from my grandparenrs. This visit pulled at my childhood heartstrings and I'm so glad we stopped by.

Most amazing place with over 6,000 bicycles all in pristine condition, many very rare bikes and famous ones too. See Peewee Herman’s bike and the Monkees’ bicycle built for four!

Unforgettable, stellar, dazzling, astounding….just a few words to describe my visit at Bicycle Heaven.
If you are a bicycle enthusiast, you must put this place on your bucket list (especially if you are into Schwinn’s). I will be visit again and again!
The cost for a great experience, FREE!

It has a really great collection! It’s really interesting to see the different specialty bikes they have, and see how they have evolved throughout history.

A unique experience for all ages. Has to be seen to be believed! You could spend hours on the many rooms and floors of rare and amazing bicycles. Also, it's accessible from the adjacent bike trail.

Free (donations requested) lots of old bikes - rare and more common. Only short brief descriptions. If you are not into bikes, probably not worth your while.

My friends and I had an amazing afternoon here. There was so much fun stuff to see! Good for any group, cyclist or not, you will love this place.

If you have ever ridden a bicycle this is a must see. Thousands of bikes on display, many rare bikes.

Beyond our wildest dreams a must see in Pittsburgh! Craig is a stellar guy who has his heart and soul into this place!

I’m a looong time bicycle junkie and collector, and I’ve honestly never seen anything like this place! It is an indescribable, crazy fun assault on the senses! You don’t have to be a bicycle freak to love this place. Everywhere you look there is an eclectic cultural detail that delights! If you are amongst the two wheel afflicted, be prepared to be overwhelmed by the rare and cool. The owner is a super down to earth people person who loves to share his passion. If you’re in Pittsburg and looking for something truly different and delightful, don’t miss a stop in Heaven!!!

Just amazing to see someone’s passion! Not just for bike lovers but anyone who likes a slice of history!

Wow, this place is insane. A bicycle shop and large collection of bicycles.
There were an unbelievable number of bicycles housed here. A bit of a hoarding situation. The second floor was full of bicycles with very little organization or explanation. At some point it went from interesting, to fascinating, to overwhelming.
It's worth a visit to see it all, especially if you are a bicycle fan. An hour or two should be plenty. There is no fee, but donations are welcomed.

I'm honestly not a real bike enthusiast but the pictures online made it look like an interesting place to check out while I was home visiting family. My sister and I were on our way home from the zoo and almost decided not to go but it wasn't far out of our way.
I am SO happy that we made the stop, what a cool and fun experience! It's truly a sight and the way they have it set up makes for a surreal and off the beaten path experience. Henry, who's family owns the museum, was super friendly and great to chat with.
If you grew up in the 80's the fact that they have 1 of only 4 of the remaining bikes (12 total were made) used in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure!!! it's worth the stop alone in my opinion. If Henry asks how you heard of the place, tell him Large Marge sent you lol.
I will recommend this to all my friends, family and anyone that I cross paths with who will be visiting the Burgh and looking for something to do. What a great and impressive collection of bikes and antiques. Plus it's FREE, however I was happy to give a few bucks because it really exceeded expectations. Thanks B.H. I will see you again the next time my lady comes with me to visit!

Awesome bike museum and shop. So many bikes. Really loved all the vintage Schwinns and seeing the really old bikes with wooden rims. So cool. It was well worth the drive from Richmond VA to check out.

This place had tons of bikes to display. I found the displays overcrowded. I appreciated seeing all the old bikes but would have appreciated more of a curated display to the cram them all in approach. The visit was free but I would have paid for a more curated experience.

We highly recommend a stop at the Bicycle Heaven Museum. We were complete blown away by the sheer number of bikes in this collection and there is a little bit of history too. There is a 4 seater bike the Monkees rode, Pee Wee Herman’s bike, the Fonz’s bike and so much more. If you ride or just rode as a kid, this is a must see stop when you’re in Pittsburgh.

An absolutely wonderful collection of everything bicycle. Brought back wonderful childhood memories, shared historical and pop culture through the eyes of the cycling industry, and tapped into my ongoing love of riding and touring. Highly recommend!!!

A can't miss when visiting Pittsburgh. This free (donations accepted) museum, bike shop, art exhibition will amaze. Located less than 10 min from downtown with free parking, friendly staff, and thousands of bikes and parts arranged artfully with music and other design elements. Don't miss this 1 of a kind treasure.

Bike Heaven is a wonderful place to go to! The owner is super nice and friendly, as are all the people who work there. Such a fun and interesting way to spend an afternoon. An amazing way too see some cool American artifacts. Not JUST bike stuff! Seriously, such a cool place.

My husband and I stopped today and are so glad we did. You could look around for hours and hours at all the awesome bikes. Highly recommend! Be sure to give them a donation too! 5 Stars

This cavernous building holds the history of bicycles. Its such a diverse, fun and amazing collection. Donation only.

Yes they are open! This place is such a unique experience! My girlfriend and I came to Pittsburgh for a small getaway and were trying to find things to do during our stay. We saw this place online and decided to give it a try. It was a great time even if you don't like bicycles! There are some cool and rare bikes that you will probably never see anywhere else. We also got to meet the owner and he was a really genuine individual. This is a FREE museum and I recommend a visit!

The store and museum are free to enter. The displays were so extensive I GOT LOST in the building! What is housed here are items from United States history that may otherwise have been lost. The main attraction is vintage bicycles; thousands of them most of which are for sale. Along with the bicycles are custom made rooms housing magazines, guitars, autographs, shirts, trains, and vintage electronics to include record players, lava lamps (that work), and even antique boat motors.

Unbelievable! Several Floors of Bicycles and Bicycle history. Greg Morrow the owner grew up around the corner from me in Ben Avon. He was a little younger but I would run into him lately at the Post Office shipping a bunch of bicycle parts. I did not know he had this museum in Manchester. There is no fee and you do a self guided tour. I can't even begin to describe the unique bikes and displays he has. Every floor is crammed with bikes. He has 4 seater used by 1) the Beatles & 2) the Monkees and 3) Pee Wee Herman's Bike . You just have to go there and walk around. you will not be disappointed!

As soon as you enter Bicycle Heaven you realize that you are in for a treat. Every where you look, there is something that catches your eye. On one wall there iOS the Bowden bikes, on an other there is a bone shaker from 1863, and then when you look up it is a ceiling covered with bikes and bike memorabilia, and that is just the first floor.the second floor is five times bigger and every bit as much fun as the first. Whatever kind of bike that you are into it can be found here. An awesome experience.

I do not consider myself a bicycle enthusiast by any means- I really enjoy riding them but that is about it... BUT WOW- Bicycle Heaven was absolutely awesome! The shop and museum are stuffed to the brim with an amazing collection; the world's fastest bike, bikes from famous movies (Pee-Wee Herman's famous bike being the most well known!), new and even futuristic looking bikes, old antique bikes, any kind of bike you can imagine! I would easily recommend this as a place to check out on your visit to Pittsburgh- it is absolutely worth your time!!

I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying a visit to Bicycle Heaven. They sell and repair bicycles, but it's also a huge museum and antique shop. The owners and staff are down to earth, caring people. I was unable to navigate the stairs to the second floor and their elevator was out of service, so they made sure I had a place to rest comfortably while my husband check out the remainder of yet. They have the Monkees' Bicycle as well as Peewee Herman's. There is also a life size cut out of Captain Kangaroo which was my favorite thing. Whether you like to poke for antiques, love bicycles or just appreciate a vintage feel shop, you will be pleased. There is plenty of free parking in the lot right outside.

Very very kool place. Much more then just the koolest bikes on the planet. Memorabilia, repair shop parts bikes for sale. Can easily spend hours there. Free. They ask for donations. It’s pleasure. Great stop for bikers on the trail

Great place! So many bikes and more, all in one place. ET, Peewee Herman and more. Definitely worth a visit while in Pittsburgh. The Monkees bike is there too!

This place was amazing. Brought me back to my childhood of riding bikes. So much to see from floor to ceiling. 2 floors filled with bikes, parts, memorabilia and history. What a great gem.

The number of different bikes from way back to current was just so fabulous. It was so amazing to see a wood tire rim, the different bike designs, and what worked and didn't work. Owner was friendly and informative. Definitely want to go back. Highly recommended.

Large variety of bicycles. Some nostalgic rides like Pee Wee Herman's bike.
Very helpful staff and an extensive knowledge of different varieties of bikes. I highly recommend this venue for a visit.

Such an interesting and unique shop. We were amazed at how many bikes there where, and so organized. Highly recommended!

Amazing place to visit. So many things to see. Historical and fun. Also, educational and relaxing. Great way to spend some time.

We had a fabulous, unexpected visit here! The staff are so knowledgeable about all of the bikes they've collected and repaired. The space is wall-wall-to bikes , bike parts , and other random pop culture memorabilia. A true gem in the city of Pittsburgh that's off the beaten....literally. You can take the bike trail right up to it if you want! Anyway, this is a must-see stop for the whole family , bicycle geeks, hardcore cyclists, and anyone that has memories of their first bike.

Every time I visit I see something I didn't the last time. My favorite bikes to see are the ones the tree grew around. Definitely a must see for anyone visiting Pittsburgh

Crazy number of old bikes jumbled together in huge warehouse. Kids and adults had fun wandering through the collection. Was hoping for more of an actual store, but enjoyed the museum and picked up a great T-shirt.

Nestled in an unassuming warehouse behind the UPS facility on the north shore, this full service museum/shop/sales experience is nothing short of stunning. Rows of bikes, and stories to go along with them, make the museum experience worthwhile. Be sure to see Pee Wee’s bike, Cool Hand Luke’s parking meter and the tree that grew “around” bikes on the second floor.
Repairs are clearly being performed on a large scale, and while I was there I heard four people come in to pick up a bike. I can only imagine the super cool mix of newer and retro bikes that come out of the shop.
If you have some free time, or are in need of a new bike or repairs on your existing bike, you should absolutely stop by and check them out.

An incredible eclectic mix of bicycles and bike paraphernalia. It was like going down bike history lane! So cool! If you’re a bike lover, don’t miss it!😊 🚲

I loved this place! Anyone who has ridden a bike would love this place. First- IT'S FREE! But that is NOT the reason to love it. A phenomenal and funky selection of bikes from the 1800s going forward. Quirky bike stories, one of a kinds, crazy exhibits, and just general funk. I spent over 2 hours here and could have spent longer.
It's an easy bike ride up the trail past the stadium, plenty of parking, and just lots of fun. I will go back on my next trip to Pittsburgh!

As we were a few minutes from the Mattress Factory on this side of Pittsburgh it was easy to pop into the Bicycle Heaven Museum. This is the world’s largest bicycle museum and repair shop. It sits in a 7000 square foot warehouse and is cluttered with over 6000 bicycles.
Many of these are rare, antique or were used in movies and TV. Admission is free but they do take donations. They also sell and rent bicycles. Allow about an hour to stroll around.

If you love bicycles you have to visit this place. They have a great collection. One can find models that you won't find anywhere else

We had a great time exploring Bicycle Heaven. I lived in Pittsburgh years ago and never knew it existed. Great thing to do on a rainy day. LOVE IT!

This is an especially good rainy day activity in which you can lose yourself for hours, but it would probably be better to stay a couple of hours each time and come back fresh, because you will definitely notice new things on each visit, whether they were here before or not. Of course you can shop for vintage bicycles or have your own repaired at various places in the two story museum/shop. Even the rest room here is an experience! There are historic bikes, "celebrity" bikes and "not" bikes, as well as fun and whimsy.
I left wondering how they can possibly keep track of all the unique displays and parts, but I did notice quite a bit of helpful signage.
It's worth going to Pittsburgh just for this.

This place has an amazing collection of bikes through history. A lot of nostalgia looking at bikes from the 70s with banana seats and baskets. Teenagers enjoyed it. No ticket price (donations appreciated but no pressure at all - just a tip jar) or parking fees. We spent about 30 minutes there.

Prepare to have your mind blown away! Really amazing collection, both fun and historic. I learned a lot and had an amazing time there browsing through the collection. The owner was super friendly and truly passionate about sharing his collection with others. The museum is free, and accept donation. It’s a cool place to visit even for non bike enthusiast.

More bicycles in one place than I have ever seen in my life. Overall very cool. Staff were super nice and friendly. Kids had fun running around with us looking at things and both rode the coin operated horse before we left. Would visit again super fun.

What an amazing little place this bike museum is. An incredible collection curated with love and in pristine condition. So many sparkly Schwinn banana seats took me right back to my childhood.

I have to say this place has so much potential to be a great bikes museum, but they simply treat it as a warehouse. Just dumping hundreds of bikes together is not a museum. I have to say, this place really has high potential to be a great fun museum.

This place was full to the gills with amazing displays. Not just bicycles but movie props, historical pieces and lots of 60s & 70s memorabilia. We had a blast. Left a donation because it was so good. Employees are friendly as well while fixing customers bicycles. Had a Blast

My son said Bicycle Heaven was his most favorite visit when we were in Pittsburgh. They have huge collections of unique bicycles, way exceeded our expectations. Craig is a very friendly owner and his son Henry (Chiến) is super nice! We enjoyed our visiting at the museum. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful place, incredibly knowledgeable owner, so many gorgeous and fun bikes to see - from wood wheeled bikes to one offs made by Volvo, Bowden models, bikes used in movies (e.g. ET), fastest bikes, so much going on.

This place is amazing! Traveled here from Ohio and it was well worth the trip! There is so much to see and they do a great job on bike repairs!

Hidden gem. This was certainly a highlight of our trip. Very welcoming staff, and the largest and most interesting collection of bikes I’ve ever seen. Whether you are into bikes or not, you will find this place fascinating - well worth the visit!

Awesome museum! You can walk there for hours and each time you will find something new what you missed before. This museum for any age - kids, teens, adults. The museum needs more room for exposition but remember they are funding by donations - no tickets (so don't be greedy ))). The stuff are making great work collecting all these bicycles (and not only bikes). Thank you!

As a cyclist it was fun to see all the different bikes from the 1800’s to present. Interesting to see the changes in the bike just in my lifetime. Enjoyable. Worth the stop.

My husband likes bicycling and has gotten me a bit into it as well, and I knew I should take him here while in the Pittsburgh area. This museum has so many different bicycles to see -- we were both amazed. One of the coolest here was one of Pee Wee Herman's bicycles from "Pee Wee's Big Adventure." Beyond bicycles, it also has a lot of vintage collectibles including old movie posters, Elvis merchandise, Beatles merchandise and so on and so forth. This museum is free.

Today, I bought a bike. I did that at Bicycle Heaven because they don't sell me something just for the profit or commission; they sell me something because they've got experience, knowledge, professionalism, and (most importantly) a genuine caring and enthusiasm for everyone who walks through that door. If you're a regular, best believe they know your name and your bike. You can buy a bike somewhere else if you'd like; but I'd rather buy one from Bicycle Heaven

place is a "must see" for all cyclists and others who grew up riding schwinn bikes. the owner Craig is friendly and knowledgeable

Bicycle Heaven is INCREDIBLE. I can't recommend it enough. Even if you don't have any interest in cycling it's a very cool space to explore. The sheer number of bikes is mind blowing.
As a cyclist and lover of bikes though it stood out as a really special place to visit. Getting the chance to see some extremely old and rare bikes was such a treat.
The staff are extremely friendly and it's a great atmosphere. I loved it so much it makes me want to visit Pittsburgh again just so I can explore it longer.
I'll cherish the piece of art I got while there and the photos I've taken.

I was taken aback by how many bicycles the Haven has. There was so much to take in that I went back a second time before leaving town. The collection of bicycles is second to none I have ever seen before. The collection is fantastic in terms of diversity and the condition of the collection is amazing. It could be mildly overwhelming at first to take it all in. I slowed myself down and started to read the well-written information cards that are on various bikes reflecting their lineage. I went back a second time to take some pictures of the collection. This is when I had the opportunity to interact with the proprietor. He is FANTASTIC! He was busy but was more than willing to entertain my question and even bring insight into various bikes that piqued my interest. A true gentleman. On the next visit to the "Burgh", I for sure will make another trip to Bicycle Haven because I feel 2 trips are not enough to take it all in.

The name says it all. If you like bikes than this is the place to be. Free to go in, spend as much time as you want. You can be busy here for 20 minutes or well over an hour, depending on how fast you walk and look and read ( some bikes have a bit of history). No doubt about it- more bikes/parts here than anyplace else.

If you like bikes or if you like history maybe both this is a great stop. We made it a family outing and struggled to absorb it all. Friendly staff and plenty of bikes spanning the ages.

It was AWESOME!! We bought an older bicycle, the whole experience is amazing and it’s so cool seeing everything and all the bikes! So many cool and unique mikes that you can see!

Bikes Bikes Bikes. Old to new and other cool stuff. 2 floors of bikes and it’s free. No admission fee. Great for the family They do ask for a donation But worth the time to walk around

When my boyfriend told me he wanted to go to a bicycle museum I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. Every nook and cranny of this place is covered with all things bicycles - floor to ceiling. Literally. I had to explore the museum at least five times on my visit and it still wasn't enough to take in all of the interesting items that have been collected over the years and displayed. You do not need to be a bicycle lover. Be a fan of nostalgia, and reminiscing about your own first bicycle and feel like a kid again.

Walking around this museum/store is an incredible experience one-of-a-kind you have to do it you’ve never seen so many bicycles and bicycle paraphernalia in your whole life

Rolling Rock Regional Beer Bike 1952 Era Schwinn.
Recently, I purchased a 1952 Schwinn Crusier, Rolling Rock promotional single crank bicycle. I tooled around my neighborhood; this smooth riding bike looks great, its mint condition turned a lot of heads.
Craig Morrow did me right, he was very informative on the bike's history. Craig is an interesting and personable person as are all his staff; they make you feel at home.
Every trip to Pittsburgh I visit Bicycle Heaven and the Museum for the vast collection of bicycles from all eras, Hollywood, movies, TV, the military, you name it it's there. Craig has stories that go along with the display bikes.
Bicycle Heaven has equipment/accessories for any kind of Bicycle you may have as well as scale models of collectible bikes. I've purchased three collectible models and want more, there's a wide variety.
I highly recommend a trip to Bicycle Heaven for bikes and equipment and enjoyable visit to the Bicycle Heaven Museum; it is a must see for kids of all ages.
A Bicycle enthusiast.

Craig was super helpful and personable, he made sure we were accommodated even when one of us were too short for the regular rental bikes. 10/10 awesome museum, nothing like it elsewhere in the world.

My wife and I were biking along the 3 rivers when we saw a sign advertising “Bicycle Heaven”: bike vintage museum and repairs, and decided to drop by. All bike enthusiasts must visit this shop and museum. You will not be disappointed. I would guess that they have over 500 specialty vintage bikes on display and about the same number of used bikes for sale.
Everyone knows that bikes are currently in short supply because of COVID-19. They are not on short supply at this shop and are reasonably priced. They make repairs on the spot, if possible. Very friendly and helpful. They made a repair to my wife’s bike in under 30 minutes.
I highly recommend a visit to this shop.

Such a cool place. As a life long avid cyclist it was so much fun to wander through all this history collected here. Museum is free, but donations are much appreciated. There is also some very cool handmade artwork for purchase.

Wow. I am a BMX guy from the 80's and 90's. This is your place. If you had bikes, loved bikes, sold bikes, gave away bikes this place is for you. I saw even bike I ever owned and every bike I ever wanted to own here. Free admission since it is an operating shop as well as a museum. I'll drag my kids here for sure. I drug my wife here on this trip and she actually thought it was cray how much STUFF is here. We will be back.

We found Bicycle Heaven on TA and we were totally enthralled! So many unique and special bikes, accessories and all manner of bike memorabelia from all decades (centuries too!)
As Pee Wee Herman just passed away, it was especially wonderful to see one of the four bikes used for his "Big Adventure" and I loved the obvious flower tribute that had apparently been placed there when his passing was announced. Many, MANY other wonderful bikes etc to see, and all without charge with a request for donations.
The owner's obvious love for all things bicycling, as well his lovely, intelligent thought-provoking and quirky sense of humor throughout his shop and museum made my day! What a find!

Great Place and so so cool! So many cool bikes and overall an awesome place to go and just look around. We bought a bike from there and it was very neat and the owner is amazing and nice. Great place to go!

I had so much fun! Their bicycle museum must have thousands of bicycles. Every nook and cranny had something fun to explore. We rented bikes and road around this area. There was plenty of space to ride and cool industrial buildings. I will definitely bring my kiddos next time.

4000 plus bikes...old,new,rare....very very cool!!!great for kids and adults of all ages! I could have spent the whole day there. Owner very nice and great to talk to.

While I'm not sorry I went to Bicycle Heaven, I wasn't as thrilled as most of the other reviewers. To me, it was just a really crowded space with lots of bicycles and other (mostly) junk. I'm glad it was free.

Called heaven for avid cyclists or bicycle enthusiasts for a reason, millions? You can spend days, weeks or months trying to see everything! Lots of history to show and share. Very good time, well spent.

For such a vast array of bicycles & memorabilia, Bicycle Heaven was surprisingly well curated. It was so enjoyable and nostalgic that we stayed for longer than expected. The owner was on site and refreshingly affable. I 100% recommend going there while visiting Pittsburgh and remember to donate heartily because there is no entrance fee.

The museum exceeded my expectations. I was concerned that my partner would be bored but she loved it, too. We spent almost 2 hours there. Some great nostalgia and so many bikes that I've never seen or even knew existed. Free parking and free entry, but please donate generously as this place is a treasure that deserves support.

My husband loves bikes of all kinds so visiting Bicycle Heaven was a must! I am so glad we made the stop as we were leaving Pittsburgh because the entire family enjoyed the impressive selection of bikes and memorabilia! At every turn there was something fun to see!

Amazing bicycle museum. I have never seen such a verioty of bicycles. I actually found the bike I had as a kid. Sears screamer 5 speed

Whatever your expectations are, it is more than that. They have one of four of Pee Wee Herman’s bikes... they have a hop-along Cassidy bike, a 3-decker bike , the Monkees tandem bike, multiple 1800s bikes, a Beatles bike, etc, etc, etc. it’s two stories high, with lots of side alcoves and lots of rare bikes stuck between other bikes.
If you see nothing else in Pittsburgh, your trip will be worth while.

Bicycles, bicycles and much more. A working bicycle shop and museum who would have "thunk it". As you walk through the museum among the literally thousands of bike there are antique toys everywhere. The Monkees' bike for 4 is on display along with PeeWee Herman's bike and many antique and prototypes. Craig has done a service to Pgh with a museum the is fun for all ages.

Staying with friends in Pittsburgh they took us on a long bike ride, at the end of which we came to Bicycle Heaven. If you are a keen cyclist, it certainly lives up to its name. Amazing collection of bikes. Sadly we didn't have much time to fully explore it.

Great Experience! Called a couple Bike repair places that said it would be 3-4 Weeks to get my bike looked at. Craig took us right away and fixed my bike on the spot. Super friendly and looking and their collection of bikes while we were waiting was truly amazing. I highly suggest Bicycle Heaven!!
-Mike

Love the history you can explore in this unique atmosphere!! One can meet owner, Craig Morrow and learn interesting facts!!!!!! One can purchase a new and or used bicycle!!!! One can rent one too!!! You can also get your wheels serviced here!!! Fun place to go... do not miss this in the Burgh!!!!!!!!💕💕

If you ride bikes you need to go and see this place. Absolutely amazing place with an enormous number of bikes in immaculate condition ranging from wooden bikes from the early 1900's to mint condition 1980s BMX bikes. It's simply incredible to see such a collection on display. Definitely worth a trip.

Never knew I would enjoy a bike museum so much! It is an amazing place,. Brought back so many memories, and learned things I never knew. Did you know there are bicycles worth up to $100,000? Also very pleasing aesthetically to walk through this museum. Great way to spend a few hours downtown.

By far one of the best museums we have ever been too, the quality of the bicycles in this place are unbelievable and the displays are superb. Craig took the time to talk to us and I even managed to get some rare parts for some of my bicycles. If you are in Pittsburgh and are into bicycles in any way then this museum is a must. I cannot rate it highly enough. 10 stars.

Amazing place. Even if you’re not into bikes, just the beauty of the place is worth a visit. Room after room of bikes, bike parts, memorabilia. No required admission but be sure to bring some cash to put in the donation jar. Museum must cost a lot to keep up and to rent such a big space.

This was a great spot to see unique bikes, it really is a museum. There were so many and totally worth a stop! My kids liked the black light room and the E.T. bike.

Come over from England to see my cousin and she suggested coming here and so so so glad I did. Would highly recommend coming here even if you're not into bicycles. Will definitely be back again

Huge collection of all sorts of bikes and bike related paraphernalia, spread out through several large spaces in an old warehouse. All sorts of unusual "one-offs" - Evil Knievel bike, banana seat tandem, fiberglass bikes, antique crankshaft bike, seat powered chain drive bike (pedals stay still, serve as platform to push seat up and down. A little off the beaten track, but still less than 10 minutes from downtown (by bike!) - probably about the same by car. Worth a visit if you are at all interested in bikes or bike riding.

So fun and bicycles EVERYWHERE lining every single inch of space! I bring kiddos and individuals with special needs here. It's a great time! Thank you shout out to the staff, Henry! :)

Spent a few hours one Sunday afternoon here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Quirky, interesting, surprising, and neverending. Lots of bikes, memorabilia, and unique stuff. The psychedelic room was awesome!

What dazzling, delightful surprises this unsuspecting warehouse holds. Collections of thousands of bicycles dating from the early 1900s to present including bicycles ridden in ET, by Pee-wee Herman, by The Monkees (a 4-seater!), and so many other treasures! There are even miscellaneous items like the pinball machine played by the Fonz in the Happy Days series.
Put this on your list for a special treat when visiting Pittsburgh!

AWESOME!!! Bikes from 1880. Anything and everything. Super cool collection. Also has a bike shop and repairs as well and rentals

This is truly Heaven! Such a fun place. You don’t have to be into bicycles to be absorbed into the experience of Bicycle Heaven. There is so much to see take your time and look at everything, don’t move to fast you might miss something awesome. You will not be disappointed.

Great place to spend an hour or 2! Off the beaten path but well worth the effort! Brings back memories!

All I can say is "WOW" What a fantastic collection and Super Nice Folks Too!
We had a great ride over - rented bikes from The Golden Triangle - and discovered so many wonderful nooks and crannies - Bicycle Heaven was the Top!

Whether you are a bicycle “nut” or not, this stop in Pittsburg is a must! Here you will see every aspect of bicycle history from its late 1800s inception, through all of its variations over the years, to present day. It’s the only place I know of to see multiple examples of Schwinn Krates and other rare “muscle” bikes, numerous scarce Bowden bikes, well-equipped middleweights and heavyweights, and endless desirable bicycle parts and accessories. Besides covering every brand and style imaginable, other items of interest such as the Peewee Herman movie bike and non-bicycle miscellany are shown on the seemingly endless two-story display. Don’t miss it!

So many bicycles. Couldn’t imagine how interesting and enjoyable this would be but Randy at Randyland recommended it and it was worth the walk. Rare bikes, connections to pop culture, nostalgia, technology, sport, history, all with great signs explaining significance of special bikes. Easily spent 2-3 hours and would go again. Don’t miss this.

A truly unique museum experience, it’s hard to take it all in during just one visit. You don’t have to be a bicycle lover or even a bicycle rider to enjoy this amazing collection. One of the coolest places we have ever been!

Helpful staff, very knowledgeable, a good collection of bike parts. Beautiful building and awesome bike a must see for all ages of the family!

Bicycle Heave is must see. An epic collection of bike related history. If you think it is all in the first room which seems overwhelming don't stop, go upstairs.

Such a fun and unexpected gem. I've been here a number of times by myself and with family. Every time I find different I have seen before, somehow.

I highly recommend visiting and supporting BICYCLE HEAVEN! The owner and the employee’s are welcoming helpful and knowledgeable!
Be sure and plan on spending some time there sssssO much history and culture to see and learn.
Least of all... very clean bathrooms 😉
Unimaginable experience!

We were AMAZED at the amount of bikes, variety, age and timelessness of this place. It’s totally incredible! We want to go back, hard to see it all❤️

I was mildly interested in going here, but with a friend who insisted. Man, I am glad we went. It was so crazy! The variety of bikes! All kinds of designes for all kinds of eras!
Super worth heading there but in hindsight I wish I had donated more.
You can feel the love that went into this place. A must-see!

Pittsburgh has unlimited things that a person could get into over a day or weekend. One place that does not get enough attention is Bicycle Heaven.
It's conveniently located, locally owned and operated, and has some of the most welcoming and inviting staffs I've ever met (Zach, thanks again for the amazing tour!).
It may be because I am a huge bike person, but I got lost in this place. So many cool things to see, and there is honestly something for everyone in here. Ever seen a tree grow around a bike? You will here. Wanna see a humongous collection of bobbleheads? This is your place.
And it doesn't stop there. Bikes are for sale, you can get repairs, tshirts, all kinds of fun stuff. And as I mentioned, the staff is warm and welcoming.
I also have no clue how I got this far without mentioning admission to the museum is COMPLETELY FREE. Please donate though, they run a great place and are a Pittsburgh gem. Don't visit the city without coming here.

Very interesting shop to visit. This is both a business and a museum. They have literally hundreds of bicycles - and every bike accessory that you can imagine. The upstairs is mostly museum and should not be missed. they even have a bike from the 1800's. We spent about an hour here and had an enjoyable time.

Wow! What a collection. Worth the stop. Hard to see every thing in a wheelchair or with mobility issues.very tight aisles and half the collection is upstairs.

Cool spot so much to see. Walk down memory lane.
Johnny Angels next door is cool too. If your looking for vinyl to add to your collection take a look. Both Free museums so make sure you give a donation.

My girfriend and I only had a few hours to explore Pittsburgh while on a roadtrip. We both love to bike and enjoy seeing unique/vintage stuff. I have to say this was well worth the stop! Craig and the staff are super friendly and have an amazing collection of bike related items to keep all ages impressed! Would highly recommend supporting this hard working shop!

We stumbled upon Bicycle Heaven in a unexpected cascade of events, and feel so incredibly grateful we did. You don't need to be a bike enthusiast to fall deeply in love with this place. The history, nostalgia, humor, and awe of this place is the stuff every city adventurer, or family memory maker, or internet influencer is looking for!

Having worked in bike shops for 10 years and raced for 5 . I had to see this collection of bikes. Plan ahead and have lots of time , it will take hours to see it all. I was blown away seeing the collection, ( I worked in a schwinn shop) and the amount of banana seat bikes is huge. I was able to buy a skip tooth chainring as a memento of my visit. Highly recommend this place. You will not be unhappy you made the trip. I live near Phila and it was a must see when I was in Pittsburgh for 1 day.

I stopped by because I was out on the trail with a mechanical issue. The manages of Bicycle Heaven went above and beyond to help me out! They even took some time out of watching the end of the Steeler's game to make sure I had what I needed. They were very generous with their time. I had the chance to enjoy the museum a bit as well - I would love to come back again!

Amazing! Very eclectic collection of bicycles and other memorabilia from 50s-70s. A bicycle lovers dream and a must see for anyone who has interest in nostalgia of any kind!

A place that has every bike know to man. I found my first bike from 73. A must see for riders and a great nostalgic tour of the bikes of your youth.

Bicycle Heaven is such a cool and unique place! It’s part bike shop, part museum, and it’s packed with thousands of bikes—from vintage classics to super rare models. Walking through feels like stepping into a time capsule of cycling history, and there’s so much to see. So many photo ops too throughout the place.
The staff is super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. The owner is also so nice and it was fun chatting with him.
Even if you’re not a big cyclist, it’s worth a visit just for the experience. It’s fun, quirky, and totally one of a kind. Highly recommend checking it out!

Incredible museum, so much to look at you can spend all day there, family safe environment and friendly staff. They even have events and swap meets where you can buy a vintage bicycle of your own.

Bicycle Heaven has an amazing collection. It's a must do stop if you are in the Pittsburgh area. I even found the Schwinn 5-speed bike, with the banana seat, that I had as a kid growing up in Philadelphia in the '60s

My wife and I were on a motorcoach (bus) trip from Illinois and our tour company chose this as one of our stops. I can only say DITTO to all the "Excellent" category reviews. Before we arrived at the museum there was a little indifference to visiting it but when we got back on the bus the response was very positive.

BH has so many bikes and other interesting features that your eyes didn’t stop moving and your fingers kept pointing. It was 2 stories with room after room of parts, pieces and wholes of the biking world. Owners who donated their bikes included a story of their bike. Other bikes had their own stories that BH included. It was a free tour, but definitely wanted to donate after seeing all of the blood sweat and tears that went into this amazing place. We bought two shirts to help in that endeavor. Owner came out and took our picture and talked with us.

So many bikes! We love this museum! You could spend days here and still find something you hadn’t caught the first times through. Very, very cool!
You have to go if you have any interest in anything bicycle - He has it all!!! Room after room of fantastic memories of your bicycle years. Must visit if in town
