A beautiful stretch of beach loaded with shells and shark teeth. We will definitely be back!! Beautiful shaded walk to the shore right off the parking lot. Great spot to watch the sunset.

By Rentner |

The beach is a little bit away from the other beaches and quiet. Parking fee is 3 $. Restrooms available. Access to the beach on the left side of the restrooms via the picnic -area. Long walks possible, clean beach, very calm.

By WILLIAM W |

Beautiful beach with ample parking (always come early) It's a clean beach and worth walking for a while North to get a better spot.

By Steve R |

The beach is uncrowded ,loaded with shells and sharks teeth and is a bit of heaven. Unfortunately it is in the forgotten south end or Sarasota county who have been extremely slow cleaning up the road after Hurricane Irma. Not to take away from the beach itself but the county would not let the partial road closing [so easily repaired] take so long on Lido or Siesta Key.

We had a great day at Blind Pass beach on Easter Sunday. It was breezy with big waves that we figure worked up all the sharks teeth. They were easy to find with enough for everyone! Nice sandy beach. Free parking. Restrooms building and outdoor shower off.

By Sheila Klescich |

Wow! We found so many shark teeth. Make sure to bring a Florida snow shovel with you so you can sift for teeth! There are so many shells too! It’s a beautiful beach with plenty of parking! The beach is just a short walk from the parking area. There are beautiful photo location and public bathrooms.

By ja000128 |

Great spot for shelling. One of the quieter beaches of the area. Good spot to go to when the weather is nice. Englewood Beach is often fairly crowded so this is a great alternative.

By bda1975 |

Not a well groomed beach by any stretch but you find lots of shells and sharks teeth on the coastline. Good parking lot and bathroom facilities. Nice walking paths.

By Matt |

Non-touristy, semi-secluded beach, perfect for relaxing by the water. Free parking is a great perk as well.

By Rick S |

There is plenty of parking and washroom facilities. Unfortunately there art no lifeguards and the walking is on an angle making it not the best for walking. The swimming was excellent and we even witnessed a manatee.

By 115jane1 |

I was disappointed this trip to Blind Pass. The beach was very hard to walk on and the bath houses were closed with only portable toilets in the parking lot,The gulf of Mexico is just so blue and beautiful that is what made this visit so decent.

By John K |

We visited on New Years Eve 2017 with a family friend and my wife, having an incredible time. The drive to the park was incredible, lush greenery the entire route that demanded you slow down and enjoy the drive. Arriving at noon we found a large parking lot maybe only 25% full, clean porta John's, and an easy walk to the beach. Everyone we encountered was relaxed and the beach was much less crowded than those of Venice or the main Englewood beach. Neither of those two beaches were and but showing our friend the area beaches, a noticible difference in the size of the crowd could be seen. Shells and shark teeth everywhere, not as many conch shells and Venice bit plenty to do for everyone. The showers and head here do not appear to be finished yet so plan ahead and be prepared for sandy feet and beach towels on the car seats. Overall, a great, clean beach.

By ksfabry |

great beach area with plenty of free parking. Beautiful area especially if you want to watch GORGOREOUS SUNSET

By PuntaGordaDan |

This is my favorite beach! The parking is free and it is less crowded than the other beaches. The beach is more natural than the others. The newly remodeled restrooms are also nice. I can always find shark teeth when I go!

By Cruzinaround63 |

In between two towns is this nice beach. Blind Pass. Seems to be a popular beach to visit. Spent a couple of hours here. Parking is close and there is a lot of it.

By lacroixmusic |

We didn't want to pay at Englewood Beach so we drove down the beautiful gulf road to this quaint beach. It was late in the day and parking was free and easy, just one or two people were there and we had it to ourselves. Red tide made it impossible to swim. We left shortly after arriving because bugs were biting.

By Mark A |

We spent the afternoon at this beach including a nice walk collecting shells and shark teeth. Parking is free at this beach. Nice aqua colored water with small peaceful waves.

By Happywintertraveller |

There is a huge parking lot, but many of the spaces are far from the beach. We suggest that you drop off one or more members of your party and all your beach "stuff"' near the restrooms and then park your vehicle. Resist the temptation to park in many of the spaces that are marked "NO PARKING". We have seen vehicles that are parked in those places getting tickets or being towed. Bring food and beverages. This beach is also a great place for finding Sharks' teeth and for watching the sunset.

By Jennifer0527 |

Beautiful place. The sunset is just perfect to watch from there. We found around 500 sharks teeth in one day. ( dont forget your sifter)

By Gae M |

Love love love this beach. Quiet, beautiful sand, clean. Great place to find sharks teeth. Will return over and over.

By Julie D |

Enjoy! Relax! Soak it all in right here! A simple way to enjoy the sunshine Florida has to offer! Parking is plentiful and the outdoors here are just perfect for the family!

By Joe E |

It'll be worth the wait to see this beach return after Hurricane Milton. Pristine sand and nearby services.

The entire Key was hit... but they've reopened parking and beach access.

By Scott K |

We went here on two separate occasions. 1st was sunny and 84. The 2nd overcast and a strom front was moving in. Enjoyed both times. Found a handful of shark teeth, which my daughter thinks are very cool. Nice beach and bathrooms are clean.

By Victoria C |

We spent the day at Blind Pass Beach and we had a blast. Beautiful beach, lots of shells. We had fun walking and looking for shells and shark teeth. It was a little crowded right next to the parking lot, but we walked for a while and there was hardly anyone next to us.

By Andrew C |

It's a good beach, with lots of free parking opposite and modern bathroom facilities. On sunny winter days, parking can be difficult. Hardy surprising, its a good spot.

By Karin G |

We picked a great day. Crystal clear water, clean beach and tiny waves. It was a totally enjoyable day.

By Briggsbuddy |

If Charlotte County invested in a beach comber it would help and maybe help make it a little easier to walk on if they brought in some sand.

Too many people, hard to walk on, and noisy from music.

By MnLmyer |

This was our favorite spot for the beach while staying in the general area. Parking is across the road, so be prepared for a little hike to get to the water. The restroom facilities were clean and very conveniently located to the beach! We enjoyed the water, and also searching for unique shells and shark teeth..

By Erin |

Love it here but it gets busy. Best to go early as the parking can get a little hectic. If you walk a bit in either direction it gets less busy. Great place to find sharks teeth. We go every year.

By BAR845 |

Manasota Beach is a bit better with a nicer, newer bath house. But has become too popular. This beach offers an alternative with a bit more avaivable parking. Very crowded but if you are willing to walk up the beach about 10 minutes there is plenty of room. Bath house is a bit used and the family rest room was plugged up. Manasota Key has the best beaches but have become busy. Go early to get parking.

By No-Central FL |

We visited during the December holidays. Others have posted about the large free parking lot across from the beach. Even though the beach was crowded on this first warm day after a chilly Christmas Day, there was still plenty of parking.
Sharp drop at waters edge. This is Something I’ve been seeing on many Gulf and Atlantic beaches the last few years. It makes it it more difficult to stroll. I guess more frequent hurricanes are making this beach change. Yuck.

By smm1779 |

This beach is beautiful, clean and not crowded. Maybe if t was the time of year, but very few people on beach. There is SO MANY shells. There is even bushed in which people hang shells-very pretty. You can walk all the way to the pass (about 30 minutes). Sunset was spectacular!

By Ellen A |

Blind Pass Beach was so nice. You didn't have to worry about having credit cards to pay for parking; how fun is that? There was plenty of parking instead of driving the parking lot. Much better than Englewood's main beach. It was clean, quiet, and I can't wait to go again.

By Gregg W |

Free parking if ya dont mind a bit of a walk restrooms and wash stations parking lot is rustic no food.

By Lynndzs |

Parking was very close to the beach which is nice when you are carrying a bunch of stuff. The beach was clean. Tons of shells on the beach to sift through. It was windy and rough the day we were there so harder to do any shelling in the water. We had plenty to choose from on the beach. If you have tender feet - I suggest some water shoes as the beach is full of shells so a little rougher on your toes.

By c m |

great place for shark tooth collecting, not crowded, surf much calmer than venice beach, no where to eat close by

By Mike A. Hague |

This beach has a large parking lot and is short walking distance from the lot to the beach. The beach is clean and narrow. During the winter months can become crowded but other season not so much. I like Manasota and Casperson better for shelling and sharks teeth but they have more traffic during the high season. This beach can be less crowded when not n high season and you can easily fish in the surf.

By PattyF58 |

What a gorgeous beach with lovely sand and water! We even sifted and found shark teeth! There is adequate parking and it is easy to find. We thought it was great that they had restroom facilities available as well. We will definitely be back!

By Gert K |

Clean beach, relaxed environment, a lot of parking space, easy access and a lot of fun on a sunny day ... do not hesitate, this is a must visit when you vist the Gulfcoast

By Tom P |

Blind Pass Beach is in Sarasota County and offers an ample beach, a lot of free parking, and renovated bathroom facilities. A bit crowded at public access points but if you aren't carrying too much you don't have to walk very far to find a place less densely occupied to plant your self. Looking for shells and shark teeth is fun, more efficient with a wire basket on a pole, and bring a plastic bag to put your "finds" in. Englewood Beach to the south charges for parking, it is in Charlotte County. Manasota Beach to the north end of Manasota Key is also in Sarasota County and has free parking and pavilions, for groups, in addition to a nice beach.

By broggy57 |

Free car park across the road from the beach, as others have said it’s easier to drop people & beach equipment off next to the restrooms then find a parking space as it’s a large car park. Long fairly narrow beach can be very busy near the entrance so worth a short stroll to find a quieter spot. No cafes etc near bye so bring refreshments. We had never heard of the fossilised sharks teeth before so we asked some locals who were very eager to tell us & show us about them. Plenty of people using the scoops to find teeth but as some locals had told us it was fairly easy to find them anywhere on the beach just by sifting through the sand. We did & have come back to the U.K. with around 50....all fairly small ones.

By 2kayak |

Free parking across street from the beach. Large beach with lots of small shark teeth and shells. Great for watching the sunset and sometimes pods of dolphin.

By stacey w |

Beautiful ! Saw a manatee and dolphins. Love the sunsets ! Have only been to Venice once and this is already one of my favorite spots to go!

By Theodore E |

This a great out of the way beach with plenty of parking, showers, and restrooms. Clean and lots of shark teeth!

By jastine |

We had planned to go to Englewood Beach, but it was closed. So we drove along the coast until we came to Blind Pass Park. It is a small beach with lots of free parking. They were renovating the restrooms/changing rooms, so we had to use porta potties. It is not far from the parking to the beach. There were not a lot of people there. Shells were everywhere on the beach and coming in with the waves.. We found sharks' teeth washed up on the shore. There were nice waves for using a boogie board. We returned here 2 days later and the waves were not as high, nor were there as many shells on the beach. So if you want to find shells and sharks' teeth, you have to be there at the right time, probably after a storm. We enjoyed this beach very much.

By RandGP |

Good parking and free across road from the beach. Toilets and showers. Some great shells following Hurricane Irma which by the way has washed away about a third of the road which is now closed at this point

By lgraysto |

Quickly becoming my favorite beach in the area. Just returned from watching my first sunset from a beach in the Englewood area. We were only there for a couple of hours and spent the last half sitting and watching the sunset. Walking around the first hour we found around 15 shark teeth. Nice facilities and easy, free parking.

By will |

much better than other public beach. parking free fishing pier, vast beach where people like searching for sharks teeth and shells.playground, kayak launch etc etc..

By Robyn S |

Right now bathrooms are under construction so you have to use ports potties located in the parking lot across the street. Hurricane Irma damaged road to beach making it difficult to get there. Also the storm made the beach thin, not a lot of room. Once all the repair work is complete sometime in 2018 it will again become a great place for shelling.

By junemagpie |

We love to walk in the mornings on this beach. So peaceful. Lots of birds - you can see them having breakfast. Plenty of parking.

By Danielle B |

Picture a little quiet beach, with beautiful blue-green water, and sunsets worth spending every night watching. Tiny perfect shells everywhere you look. No lifeguards, but also no-one to "watch over you".

By Raye |

It was awesome. Not too crowded. Waves were fun that day. Found sharks teeth. Kids had a really fun day. We didnt want to leave...but will be back!!!

By Galleywench100 |

Busy yet clean beach with restroom facilities and good free parking.
Lots of shark teeth collectors about.

By Emily S |

Lots of shark teeth, shells, and spots to sun bathe. Nice to have bathrooms on site. Great afternoon here.

By Lita H |

We love this place, very relaxed, free car parking, toilets and showers, highly recommend, great for shells and shark teeth

By Moved2Texas |

I drove down Manasota Key Beach road and found Blind Pass Beach. It is a fairly remote beach that has restrooms and free parking. This beach has lots of shells and sharks teeth. It is a great place to muse by the ocean!

By Alyssann |

Great beach!! We collected lots of beautiful seashells, swam and even watched dolphins playing out in the ocean. The waves were a little rough but we still had a great day!

By Gale G |

We love Blind Pass or Middle Beach. There is free parking and never a lot of people. We usually go morning to look for shells and sharks teeth.

By James A |

Came to the south end of the park via jetski and saw many dolphins in the intercoastal waterway. Beach is easy to access

By Abby P |

small little beach but beautiful. can rent kayaks here. always dolphins swimming around. good shelling beach also

By DiverM |

We went here for the first time and enjoyed it. The parking can fill up on a busy weekend and you may have to walk pretty far with all your stuff for a spot. It is a narrow beach so we had walk a ways. We brought a sand flea rake and big sifter to get sharks teeth. We found a good number if them but most were pretty beat up. Parking is free. There is a restroom by the beach.

By wacey |

Drove a long way to get away from the red tide. It was worth it. Lots of fun. Beautiful, safe, great beach and facilities and plenty of parking.

By DMCBMC |

Great beach, free parking and masses of shells with an abundance of sharks teeth ! A bit off the beaten track but worth the visit. Lovely clear water and clean beach.

By ozzie1643 |

There are three main beaches in the Englewood area, Englewood Beach, Blind Pass, and Manasota Beach. Englewood Beach charges to park and the other two don't. In season, Blind Pass Beach would be your best choice to find parking but Manasota Beach is becoming more and popular but a further distance to travel from Englewood. If you have the time I would suggest you travel down Beach Rd. to Englewood Beach and turn right and visit the other two beaches. It is a scenic drive and if you are in no hurry you can see all three. Otherwise, Blind Pass would be my recommend first choice for beaches. All three have good bathroom facilities, with Manasota Beach being the newest.

By Jen R |

Blind Pass had a beautiful beach! The parking lot is a bit bumpy, but not a long walk to the beach like Siesta. You will find TONS OF SHELLS AND SHARK TEETH!!! The water was clear and blue!

By DebW0413 |

Great parking a lot across from beach with restrooms. A favorite place to go to catch some rays and enjoy the water.

By purplekollegegirl |

Our trip was impacted by daily thunderstorms so that is likely what impacted our trip to this beach. The parking lot is sand and had massive ponds of water that you had to cross to park. If you had a small vehicle I don’t think they’d fare well. When we reached the beach the water was basically closed down because it had unsafe levels of Bactria . Yikes. We moved in to Manasota beach just north. Thjs area is rugged and beautiful, the weather simply did nit cooperate much.

By slm583 |

Blind Pass was quite close to our place on Manasota Key and so we stopped there often. A very shelly beach so those folks were there. This is not as big a beach as Manasota Key or Stumps and a road winds along the north portion. There was a huge storm while we were there and the beach got flattened out wide. I have never seen so many fulgurites afterwards! They are lumps of sand and shells fused together with a lightening strike!

By Florida Guy |

Quiet beach, hidden and out of the way from the crowds. Great place to spend the day soaking up sun. Stay to watch the sunset, you get some amazing views and great photo opp as the sun goes down below the water.

By MrTZane |

Our favorite spot on the gulf! Even with a tropical storm brewing, it provided a much needed break. Shark teeth and beautiful shells abound.

By Rosemary B |

Blind Pass Beach (or Middle Beach) is our favorite beach on Manasota Key. The parking lots are very large and free. There is a small pavilion with restrooms and a station to rinse off. The beach itself is VERY clean, the few pieces of trash I picked up had blown in off the ocean. I saw others picking up trash as well so this is not a place full of gross littering slobs!
We went to shell and sharktooth hunt and we had an AMAZING time! My husband found several hundred shark’s teeth and I found and equal amount of great shells. I would recommend getting to the beach early and be aware of the tides, low tide is the best tome to search. I also recommend purchasing one of the SMALL metal baskets for sharktooth gathering. The large metal scoops did not serve us very well I’m not sure anyone should waste their money.
Spread out and get away from the crowd to find the best teeth and shells. Manasota Key itself is about 7 miles long so you can walk the beach in either direction as far as you like.
The parking lot and main portion of the beach start to get very busy by noon. We went early in the morning and came back mid afternoon to avoid crowds. However that is just our preference.
The Great Birding Trail is a pretty nature preserve directly across from the beach with nice wide walking paths, wooden bridges and lookout points in which to view many resident birds. It’s a great way to avoid walking on the busy narrow road to get further down the beach and enjoy nature.
We can’t wait to return!

By Bill P |

This is a wonderful beach with free parking. Located half way between Englewood Beach and Manasota Beach, it has bathroom and changing facilities that are well maintained. The beach has nice sand and is good shelling and lots of fossilized shark teeth.

By paulk0622 |

Manasota is my main beach but gets crowded. This beach is a couple miles south of Manasota, has lots of parking and is a great beach for shells and shark teeth like Manasota during lower tides and great beach for walking during higher tides. I found Blind Pass Beach by chance - less known and less crowded. This beach is just as good as Manasota and a good place to go for smaller crowds.

By Maggie N |

Nature at its best he can launch your kayak swim Watch dolphins Watch any kind of bird you can think of look at turtle nests and just relax so much to see there to relax and behind the beach are many beach bars with live music

By Tripping9900 |

Easy to get to, parking is free and it's a nice beach with great shells.

Parking is not far from the beach, the bathrooms were clean, and we found lots of good shells.

People were spaced out on the beach, the water was warm (some seaweed at first but as you walked in, it cleared up), and the sand in the water was soft (did not need shoes).

We went twice during the week; Tuesday there were minimal people, the Friday before Labor Day was more crowded but still not too bad.

By Charles C |

Pros: lots free parking, clean bathrooms, lots of shark teeth
Cons: lots of people

We came looking for shark teeth and ignored the crowd. We bought a colander at publix before coming to sift s for teeth. Highly recommended. We were just walking along wondering how to go about it when we stopped chat with a woman that seemed to know what to do. She showed us how and as she demonstrated she gave us the teeth she found. Wound up with about 80 small teeth and fragments. Our grandkids will be delighted.

By JenaRN |

This beach has free parking and it's very nice. If it weren't for the red tide messing up the southern Gulf beaches this year, I'd be there a lot more often!

By Reba D |

There was a healthy mix of all ages. We found a ton of sharks teeth. Lots of parking, had bathrooms and a shower, but no lifeguard if that’s a necessity for someone. Drove across the state to visit this specific beach and it did not disappoint. Will definitely go back again.

By EdFoster |

The quietest, least crowded of Englewood's three beautiful public beaches. Walk almost endlessly on beautiful sand, see the best sunsets

By Frank C |

This beach is referred to by locals as "Middle Beach" because it's about half way up or down Manasota Key from either bridge. Because it's a little further to drive to it's often less crowded, especially during high season and/or holidays. Can't find a parking space at either the Englewood public beach of at the North bridge? Try Blind Pass Beach. It's parking lot is HUGE!

The best part is that, unlike both beaches in Charlotte County, parking is FREE.

By Janice A |

Took my daughter there for a change of pace. We tried to go to Englewood Beach, but since parking lot was full and not free, we decided to go down a bit further and stumbled across this beach. We drove to the playground first and then back to parking area closer to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised to find free parking, bathrooms, outdoor shower and picnic tables. The beach was not too far to walk to-just across the street from parking lot and the ocean was just as blue as can be! Very high tide that afternoon, so swimming was not too advisable. No lifeguards either. Plenty of shells to collect and also shark teeth fossils. It was an enjoyable afternoon. Plan to pack lunch/snacks, since there are no stores nearby.

By Ironmummy44 |

Besides the beach and facilities there are docks, kayak launches and a playground across the street from the beach in Lemon Bay. Tranquil picnic areas get you away from on the hustle of the beach. A short walk up the beach and you're pretty secluded. Worth the drive to mid island

By Maggie N |

This was last year it was absolutely gorgeous can’t wait for the red tide to go away and have our ocean back this is what it really looks like

By Thomas R |

easy to get to from town. plenty of parking and beach. Seems today everyone likes sharks teeth. we got over 600 in a few days.

By markristin |

We had a great few days at Blind Pass Beach. Great free parking available and nice changing rooms and rest rooms. We had plenty of space to stay separated from other groups. A lot of shells but due to the choppy water we were unable to look for shells in the water. Would definitely return to this beach.

By Casey |

Beautiful beach with lots of shark teeth. Nice and quiet too... I go there every day when possible. This is definitely my number one place to be. It takes away all stress.

By Just me |

Beautiful beach and rest room facilities. Very clean. Ample parking. Remember sunscreen and a bottled waters. You’ll want to be here shelling And shark tooth hunting for awhile.

By Ksandyrn |

Great little beach that is not in a tourist trap. Parking was fine, restrooms were clean. Outside shower to rinse off in. Will definitely be back.

By Linda Susan P |

This is more of a locals beach since the facilities are more primitive. It is beautiful. No picnic facilities, just a beautiful beach. It is never the same twice. The wind and waves change the sand and beach from day to day.

By Czaplicki |

Views were great, lots of shells to search for, not crowded for our January visit with temperatures in the high 60s. Even saw a couple large turtles. Highly recommend a visit!

By Reba H |

Great safe area to take family and friends. Clean bathrooms, great picnic, beach combing, fishing, sunbathing, and sea shell collecting!

By Jeffrey L |

Awesome place to visit and see! This place is a must when in southwest florida though it has limited parking and some times there is a wait I must say it's well worth the wait. As a florida resident I say go and see it for your self an mabe you'll see me there too!!!

By TravelLife19 |

Great place to enjoy a sunset. Nicer on the south side of the pass, but not advising to swim across from the park. Ripping current during ride change which can make is a sweet spot for snook and tarpon.

By Retired to travel |

Last beach day this month and it didn't disappoint! The water was the prettiest we've seen all month and we went to several beaches. I was hoping to find some sharks teeth but not today, still had a wonderful day!

By Dayton S |

This is by far the best beach on Manasota Key but don’t tell anyone. There’s plenty of free parking and plenty of beach to stretch out if you don’t mind a little walk away from the pavilion.

By Diane |

Lots of great beach and good shell hunting. Nice to just play with the kids, bring a ball to throw and to get a suntan. Many families come to this beach. Restrooms are there also and a faucet to clean shells or sand off your feet

By cool_teacher590 |

This is a long beach with a huge parking lot (which is free). We actually preferred this beach to Englewood Beach, which is the one closer to town. This one is a bit more remote, and if you're willing to walk a little farther from the parking lot, you'll have some space between you and your neighbors. Even during spring break time, which is when we visited, it wasn't too crowded. We did get there pretty early (9:00 am) to be sure to get a parking spot, and there was PLENTY of parking at that time. We saw people coming and going the entire day, so I think parking here is not as much of an issue as it is elsewhere. The services here are more basic, and there aren't any restaurants or shops close by, so that's a trade off. Anyway, the water was a beautiful blue during our visit. There were tons of shells and we found lots of sharks teeth, too. I highly recommend this beach if you're visiting this area. It had a great family vibe, and we really enjoyed it.

Here's a hint...if you walk down the nature trail from the parking lot, you can cut across the road to access the beach. These aren't official access points, but you can see the social trails that have been made by other people. There are signs that say, "No beach access," but it's there. We took one of these on the way back to our car and it was so much easier.

By bill31Maine |

Smaller than fiesta key but very quiet with a lot fewer people plenty of shells for collectors.....during winter you may have to wait for a parking spot

By O T |

I'd give 5 stars but don't want the word to get out LOL. Free parking in a big lot. Sand bar warm water. Long walks to the south.

By csb14 |

Blind Pass Beach has course sand and a fast drop off. Not good for families with little ones. The restrooms are being remodeled so there are only port-a-potties. No lifeguards. We did meet a fella down there who gave us a lesson in finding shark teeth. He had found many, many teeth that day.

By Caroline B |

It was the fact Phyllis beach with gentle ways that you could walk for miles. You could pick up shells and sharks teeth. Has bathroom facilities and ample parking. However the road runs a rate along the back of the beach .have not been there since the hurricane understand some of the road washed away not sure about the beach.

By Elizabeth B |

Quiet, clean, lots of parking a bit of a drive once you come over the bridge on Manasota Key but worth the scenic drive

By David M |

Great beach but has been somewhat inhospitable because of the red tide and fish kill but this weekend the red tide let up and it wasn’t bad. Water is still browned than normal.

By solofishergal |

First time here. We have driven past this beach a few times to reach Manasota Beach but after reading some reviews on here, we decided to stop here first. We are very happy that we did. We stayed very busy and entertained searching for shark teeth. It was a very productive day. The beach is being revamped/under construction but there is still plenty of parking- -parking is free.
*We visited on a Monday*
There is no lifeguard on duty.

By Caleb P |

Nice clean beach. Not overly crowded. Free parking. Crowds were not obnoxious. Water was clear and warm.

By peggydixon |

Beautiful beach, gorgeous sand and water.....shells and sharks teeth are easy to find. When we were there it wasn't too crowded like some beaches can be. Very natural but with lots of parking and outisde showers to wash the sand off.

By woobie51 |

Great place to spend the day frolicking in the Gulf of Mexico, lying in the sun, taking long walk at the water's edge, and looking for fossilized shark teeth.

By CanuckEventPlanner |

Easy, free parking right across the street. Sand was great. We settled right in and caught a beautiful sunset.

By John D |

Such a hidden gem. A little secluded, but very clean, lots of parking and tons of sharks teeth. We visited Vince beach today as well and outside of the fact the Blind pass has no food the beach is so much nicer.

By UPNorthguy41990 |

Arrived earlier in morning and the beach was quite sparse. In two hours the four of us likely found 200+ shark teeth and loads of other great shells. Restrooms very accessible as well.

By Shannon F |

we visited yesterday, 6-12-18 and the beach had dead fish all along the shore. Smelled horrible from the dead fish. We are hoping to go back in about a week to see if they are gone. It is otherwise a beautiful beach.

By Merle V |

Blind pass beach is still beautiful in it's normal state. Non-commercialized, beautiful place to fish, walk, swim, or look for sharks' teeth. Be sure to lock your car, though.

By June |

Best place on earth! Could walk for miles on this beach. It's a pretty drive to get to this beach as well. A place I will visit every time I vacation in Florida.

By Angelique L |

Very nice beach area with lots of area to spread out. Wave action was crazy the day we were there due to storms moving through the area. Needed to be careful of rip tides. Would definitly try again when in the area.

By Laura V |

Took us a while to get parking. We actually tried Stump Pass, then Manasota Key Beach and then a second time back at Blind pass before we were able to park. The beach was beautiful and we love to collect shells which are abundant on this beach.

By Gary S |

I have been reading and watching videos on this beach for years. This last weekend we flew from Houston to Orlando for a few days.
We decided to make a quick run to the beach to see if we could find some sharks teeth.
We spent just under 3 hours at Blind Pass Beach and found lots of shells and sharks teeth. It lived up to the hype. I hope to go back when i have more time. Incredible amounts of fossilized sharks teeth there to find.

By BobVDE |

Tried to park at Englewood beach meters. No luck, full. Was driving towards Manasota key beach when we came upon Blind Pass Beach. Parking lot is free, and bigger than Englewood. Decided to give it a try. Lots of people, but lots of space too. They are doing some renovation to the washrooms. But they have lots of portable restrooms. Found a dozen shark teeth in the sand. The area is known for the shark teeth, and lots of people were using strainers, but we were just using our eyes. Why bother going anywhere else.

Had an amazing day at Blind Pass Beach! Found an amazing amount of sand dollars in the ocean. Just make sure to put them back in the ocean!

This beach is just further down the road from Manasota Key. Everyone looks for sharks teeth and you can’t go wrong. Right now they are fixing the bathrooms so they have porta potties, but their clean though. The beach is really pretty and relaxing. Not as busy as the one further down.

Stopped at blind pass beach on our way south from St. Petersburg. Easy to find, lots of parking with a nice pavilion with clean good bathroom and outdoor shower / foot wash.
A shell collectors paradise. Many people collecting shark teeth, not too hard to find ( even for beginners ).

Headed to Venice to "get some" teeth. 1st time stopping at blind pass. They are currently doing renovations so bathrooms 🚽 are inop and ports potties are currently being used. The parking was decent and the beach 🌊 was flat calm. Spent 3hrs collecting teeth and enjoying a beautiful day at the beach!! Think I prefer Caspersan Beach for privacy but blind pass was productive 👍🙀😎

decent area, just too many people, fair drive down the beach, but just too many people for our liking. Tight parking that seemed to always be full, have no idea how you would go here in season

Been previous years and like this beach and of course you get the changing area/rest rooms as well which are a benefit.

Being from Michigan I am no stranger to beaches. However I am not much of a water person but absolutely love this beach! Been here several times and always have a place to park and not too many people around. Note that most of the time its in the off season but I hear it can get pretty packed during the busier times of the year. Quiet beach with loads of sharks teeth......just leave some for me next time I'm in town :)

Beautiful beach with more shells than I've ever seen anywhere! Water is clear, and the sand under the shells is fine, pale grey. Bring a net bag to put your favourite finds in, and don't forget your flip flops or water shoes - those shells can be sharp!

This beach is my favorite place to find shark teeth! They finally finished the public restrooms here and they are very nice.

Have been to Blind Pass beach many times. Always a good spot to go. Disappointed though that the bathrooms were closed. Free parking is great and its a short walk to the water.

Absolutely love this place, plenty of free parking but not so much that it gets to busy.
No shops or bars so bring all you need, safe swimming loads of wild life, and good shore fishing. Then back to the White elephant pub to eat and drink, also a good tackle shop coming onto stump pass.

I like this beach best because a). No pay b) easy access from car to beach and c) fewer people. Also if you are so inclined the back side of the parking lot is expansive which is not apparent from a drive-by. More importantly the back side has easy access for kayaks and SUPs to Lemon Bay. My new fav. Interesting vantage point for sealevel rise effects and beach nourishment.

Recommended from 'snow birds' we drove to BPBeach on a Sunday afternoon.
Parking was across the street, free, and plentiful, with several choices under shade trees.
The bath house was under construction, and so there was an assortment of porta potties in the parking lot, and a single outdoor shower tower across the street.
There is a short walk across the street and to the beach area. If you have a cart and/or cooler with wheels, use it! And bring plenty to drink (no fresh water avail.)
The beach is quite expansive, offering a vast selection of choosing "your spot." The sand is soft. You can easily see where the tides have risen and fallen by the lines of shells along the beach. I would definitely recommend wearing beach shoes to walk over these areas. You can always kick 'em off in the sand!
Best of all - sharks teeth every single sift! All different sizes and shapes - and fossils too! I even found a few right at my feet, on the sand, under our umbrella!!
We'll return, after the bathhouse construction is completed.

Peaceful, not crowded farther down the beach & many lovely seashells. The color of the ocean, was an incredible blue color. Arrived early in the morning & stayed till noon.

We went on a very windy days so there were a lot of waves and blowing sand. We had a nice 40 minute walk. There were a lot of shells washed up on the beach. Not many people. We enjoyed the ride through the canopy drive to get to the beach.

Lots of shark teeth hunters are here but there is room to walk and room to set up chairs and umbrellas. If you are here for sunset you’ll get a lovely view. I like that they offer free parking.

This beach has free parking! It is a bit of a drive from when you first cross the bridge to the island, but worth the scenic drive. you will want to bring beach chairs since it would not be very comfortable to sit on beach towels since there is sand everywhere. If you go in the morning or at night you will run into less people and less heat. There are plenty of sea shells to find and if you're lucky a shark tooth.

Great beach for spending time. Not a ton of people but as with most things, the afternoon does get busier than the mornings. Easy to get to and yes, it's true - the parking is free.

Another unspoiled, beautiful SW Florida beach. Great for kids. Wide sandy area. Crystal clear water. Just a little slice of heaven.

We visited Blind Pass Beach for the second time. Each of the beaches that we've visited had good aspects, and Blind Pass is no exception! The beach was easy to access, clean, and the people on the beach were family friendly. The shells and shark teeth were in abundance and the water was awesome. Parking was ample, and they were working on the facilities there when we were there, so that should be an upgrade when they're completed. Definitely plan to return there when we're back in the area.

We stopped here and again, it is a primitive beach. There are some facilities at the entrance, then you can walk down to the beach. We saw no concessionaires. We had to walk across the street from a big shell parking lot that was packed. But when we got there, the beach was not terribly crowded. Again, pretty steep for walking and the surf was fairly stout. But it is a perfect place for swimming, shelling, and enjoying the day.

Excellent beach with free parking, can be busy so get there early. The beach is nice for sea shell and shark tooth collecting and the sunset is awesome.

Nice place to watch a beautiful Gulf of Mexico sunset, especially if you like to avoid the more crowded touristy spots. Free parking and clean restroom facilities.
