Amazing and beautiful waterfall. Great place to hike with a great view and a relaxing hike. Must see in Utah

For experienced hikers. however for non hikers view from parking ok, great little picnic spot. Beautiful fall colors

We took the hard way up and I recommend finding the proper path up to the falls. We did it as a team hike and we had a proposal on our team on the hike. It was a fantastic place and an awesome event for us. She wanted to propose to her boyfriend in front of her teammates since they met last year. It was a beautiful place to do it!

I can now say Ive seen the Bridal Veil Falls. I just wish we knew the story that goes with it. It's very serene. Utah is very peaceful and serene.

The Falls were lovely but the walk in the park below was even nicer.
really enjoyed pulling off the road to see this wonder.

Beautiful area for a light stroll or you could be more adventurous and hit the rocks. There is a small playground for the little ones. Also a camping area.

This was a visitors site made accessible by car, and you are able to take your photos off the side of this parking lot quite well. However, we did see many other visitors walking up in the middle of this Waterfall. We could not understand why they would, as the best view is down below...SEE THE ENTIRE WATERFALLS.

We were there is April and the falls were beautiful. However, the big parking lot was still closed to traffic.

Bridal Veil is still a beautiful place, 20 years ago and before the widen the canyon it was much more private, but in the name of progress that is no more. It is still very worth the 15 minute drive up the canyon.

You can park just a short hike away or a short walk away. Good with small children. Stroller/wheelchair accessible. No restrooms in the winter. Portapotties in warm months. Picnic areas along trail and at lower trail head.

Loved the view, although we were a little early in March for great snow melt. Definitely worth a drive thru Provo canyon.

Hubby and I drove into Provo Canyon and didn't have any difficulty finding these falls. They're right off the road and up high, 2 levels at least. We pulled off and parked and found the trail up higher than where most folks especially with little kids were (at the bottom). The hike is easy and short but when you get to the top of the first falls, you need to be able to scramble a bit to get up onto the rocks for closeness and pictures, if you want. We did not go higher than this. There's so much more to see and do in this canyon but this was worthwhile stopping and hiking up a bit.

As of 10/2021, there is construction at the falls - it looks like it will be going through the end of the year. Still nice to see, but it does impact the visit as an FYI.
The falls are a nice side trip from driving. It’s a quick trip from the car from either the viewpoint or from the lower area where you can hike more. The hike up to the falls is hard and risky without proper footwear and probably hiking poles. Nonetheless, you can see and enjoy the falls without much effort.

This is a fun little place to pull off and visit. It's not a huge water fall, but you can definitely take a little hike to the base of the fall and stretch your legs out. Enjoy!!

What a beautiful area and different trails are available for the person (like me) who wants to be on solid ground and also for the more adventurous such as my husband and oldest son.

This was a very nice stop. It was a very short walk from the parking lot so be able to walk to the foot of the waterfall. Very pretty and I would recommend stopping, even if just for a few minutes to get some pretty pictures

It looks different depending on the season. Great place to sit and ponder. The trails up the side can be fun.

A beautiful waterfall that is easy for everyone to see. The walk to the bottom where the waterfall empties into the river is easy for everyone. There is a hike up to the base of the waterfall is not that hard for most people. I would be careful with little kids and elderly.

Along highway 189 northeast of Provo Utah, is a waterfall park. It is signed as Nunn's Park, Bridal Veil Park, and Upper Falls Park.
There is a small parking lot on the falls side of highway 189; a larger one on the other side of the highway, (Nunn's Park.) And there is a pullout along the highway just for viewing the falls at a distance. We parked in the area where there is a short trail to the falls, and walked to the falls. It's about four to six blocks round trip on level ground, and the pathway is paved.
The easiest way to see the falls, though, is at the viewing pullout along the highway further east of these parks.
Even though I live in an area, the Columbia Gorge, where around 77 waterfalls are available, I still thought this one was worth seeing.

Falls were quite beautiful. However we found the hiking less enjoyable than hikes around Park City. Certainly worth the visit if you are close to the falls. However we did not think it was worth the trip from Park City.
The actual area around the falls was pretty crowded during our visit, which also reduced the fun of the visit.

This is the easiest waterfall view in the world - you don't even have to leave your car. Impressive height, I would recommend going in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the waterfall. Less than 5 miles from downtown Provo, it is a quick and convenient excursion. And how did those HUGE trout get into that pool at the base of the falls?

If you have only a few hours in Provo or Orem and enjoy outdoor phenomena, this is a must-see natural formation. The grounds at the base are well developed for your safety and the safety of your children. The pooled water at the base also has a ton of fish for up-close viewing, but don't bring your fishing pole, as fishing is not allowed. There are hiking trails in the area, but most are not suitable for small children.

this is a breath taking view from the Provo Canyon. These are some very beautiful water falls, to be appreciated, on a gorgeous drive down Provo Canyon

I've visited Bridal Veil Falls many times but I finally took the time to hike up the steep trail to the base of the second level of falls. It's not a long hike, but you will need to take a break or two along the way to catch your breath. The views of Provo Canyon and the waterfall make it all worthwhile. The following week I hiked to Lost Creek Falls across the canyon which looks down on Bridal Veil Falls and I got some great photos there as well.

Park closed and limited parking tonally to the falls. Look pretty from the highway. We could not find parking and had to pass it up. Maybe it's just too early in the season

On the way back from Arches National Park heading to Park City, Provo was simply beautiful. I wanted to see a waterfal and this one was my choice as I had enough of hiking for the past 2 days at ANP. Bridal Veil falls was pretty, relaxing and the scenery all around was pretty.
My husband couldn't help himself and with his shoes on, walked up the stoney way up to the waterfall as we had seen many others do. Great photos were made and a small adventure for him.
The water is ICE COLD! Great for my exhausted feet!

We were driving through the mountains and stopped to check this water fall and it was gorgeous during sunset.
It’s only a short hike from the parking along the river on a paved path.
This seems like a popular plans to run and bike around.
I meet some at the falls and said there is a path you can take to hike up to the top and during certain times of the year you can swim in a pool of water half way up. It was to cold when we stopped but I would like to go back during the warmer months.

Caught the river on a cold, rainy day and loved the day. Beautiful and peaceful place to spend the day.

We walked this trail in October. The fall colors are changing and the weather was unbelievably perfect; still warm but crisp in the mornings. The falls were beautiful. Trails are well kept and clean. A must see if in the area.

After spending 2 weeks in southern Utah enjoying the National Parks (and we loved them!), we both admitted it was so nice to see color and water! This is such a short ride outside of Provo - do not miss when in town - your choice - great place to take a climb up to the falls or just enjoy a stroll along the waterside! And...on the roadside!

This waterfall is so beautiful. There is a short hike that will take you to the middle of the falls. It's not long but it is all uphill. Takes about 10-15 minutes is all. Even with the kids taking a break. Well worth the visit.

We came here on our way to a friends place in Provo and were not disappointed. We came early and it was very quiet and not too many people around. I love how you can get so close to the falls and just sit and listen to it. It is so relaxing and calm.

I've been going to Bridal Veil Falls since I was a kid in the 1970s. It's not quite as well kept up as it used to be but it's still a great place to visit. Take a short walk, feed some fish and enjoy the falls. Or, if more daring, try climbing in the area. The falls are beautiful.

The view is absolutely breathtaking and stunning. The falls are worth visiting if you are in the area.

It’s a short walk from parking to the falls. My son-in-law climbed to the first landing where he was able to stand behind the falls. The Provo River is along the path, and there a bridge to cross over. It was definitely worth the stop!

I was in UT for a nutritional meeting. We stopped to see this marvel during a tour of the area. The weather was perfect. The view was fantastic. For an unknown reason, we couldn't get down the road to the base of the falls. Great view from the road.

Bridal Veil Falls is a picturesque falls in the Provo Canyon. It is right off of the road, with easy access parking. There is a bridge to cross over the (also pretty) Provo River. There is a nature/excersize trail at the base of the falls. Beautiful area, and I can't imagine how amazing the falls would be after a rainy year!

Falls lovers must see. Plan to spend some time. No seats at the falls bring your own. Picnic areas nearby. Beautiful stream rushes by.

This is a must see! Pictures do not do this justice. In person it is so beautiful. People were climbing up the rocks to hang at the bottom of the falls. We didn't do that but many were. The water was freezing but it was a beautiful day. We just sat there for a bit and watched. So worth it and it's right off the road so no hiking needed. Just drive right up.

My husband and I did this hike in July and LOVED it! It starts as a nice paved stroll to the base of the waterfall that is easily accomplished. A more challenging option is to hike up the steep and slippery trails that lead to the middle of the falls.

We notice the sign on the drive from Mount Timpanogos back to Salt Lake City. Beautiful scenery right next to the highway. There is a trail up the mountain adjacent to the falls, but one would have to be in better shape than me to give it a try. Go if you can!

We took a "zillion" pictures it was so beautiful. Great drive from Provo to Bridal Veil Falls. Definitely worth it.

Bridal Veil Falls is really pretty and a fun place to visit for families or couples. However, the waterfall is only impressive when compared to other waterfalls in Utah, it really doesn't stack up to any waterfalls I've seen, specifically in the Pacific Northwest. Easy walk to get there after a short drive up Provo Canyon.

Its a short easy walk on a paved walkway to the falls. We saw young kids putting their feet and playing in the cold mountain water. There are two parking areas. If you pass the first parking area, you can get to the falls by crossing a bridge a short distance from the 2nd parking lot. The first parking lot is the best to park if you enjoy an easy walk to the falls.

We stopped here to break up our drive. It was soo nice. You can walk as long or short as you'd like. Doesnt take too long to get to the waterfall and its awesome! Highly recommend!!!

Great for a quick trip to see a beautiful waterfall, and hang out in a nice, well kept park. Next time I come, we will pack a picnic and some blankets for sure. Many people also bike here.

I love every bit of this place. Bring a lunch or just walk around - enjoy yourself. It is beautiful year round. Worth the drive. Just know that if you are expecting to see a huge waterfall, this isn't the place.

These falls are just off the side of the road, so is easy to see such a pretty waterfall. I visited the falls as part of a bicycle ride into the canyon, but there is access by road. It is a lovely spot to cool off on a warm Fall day. I visited after there had been a small amount of rain, but imagine after more rain the falls would be flowing much harder and be even more spectacular.

We stopped for an overnight in Provo as a midpoint break traveling from Jackson, Wyoming to Moab, Utah. Since we arrive midafternoon, we were looking for something to see. My research mentioned the Bridal Veil Falls in the Provo Canyon. We drove there, and found it easily. There is a walkway, and falls are highly visible. As well, we were in the Provo Canyon and the Provo River was also visible. This proved to be a great unexpected stop on our itinerary.

I drove to get to the trail, and I'm glad I did. It isn't closed despite what the sign says. When I saw the sign that said the trail was closed, I decided to walk down by the picnic area, which brought me right back to the trail. I was passed by at least 60 joggers and many people on bikes. The highway is so loud that it drowned out the sound of the running water, but it was still a really nice walk. They are still working on a bridge but it's full of people enjoying the trail.

One of the more accessible natural wonders you’ll see. It’s just off the highway and an impressive sight to see. A few daring types decided to climb alongside but it is well enjoyed without such intrepidity.

My teenage daughter and I loved Bridal Veil Falls. We enjoyed the hike up to the falls and went a little off path which was fun as well. There was ice at the falls but the trails were easy to walk on.

We stopped at the scenic outlook and enjoyed the view and history of the falls. If adventuresome, you can park or walk down to the falls and then climb up them or just hang in the water at the bottom. Definitely worth the stop. And free!!

We took the steep short hike up to the falls. Lots of loose rock, need solid shoes (Not flipflops, crocs, sandals).
Beautiful to see.

We pulled off the highway and drove through Provo to reach these beautiful falls and at 607 feet tall, she has quite a bridal veil! There is a park where you can stop and walk to the falls but we didn’t have time to do that and went a bit further and pulled off at the overlook. The falls were truly beautiful and the sound of the water running was fantastic! We got some great pictures from the overlook. We could see people at the bottom of the falls wading and there were also people on walking trails leading up to the first level of the falls. I am not sure if the paths continued up higher, but what a beauty and well worth the 20 minutes round trip extra from Interstate 15 that it added on to our trip.

Toward the end of the day when we stopped to stretch our legs. This turned out to be a good choice since the walk was relatively flat and the country side was pretty to look at. This is located near the freeway and you have to get off to the parking lot although you can see it as you drive by. Worth the stop.

This was s perfect visit. It was a breezy 90 degrees at noon. The paved walkway from the parking lot gave a very easy short walk to the base of the falls. The view was breathtaking. Additionally there is a river that runs along the base. I sat by the river on a rock and enjoyed the sounds of the water and birds. Dragonflys abound. If I had a hammock I could have spent the day here. There is also a nice bike/running path. This site is perfect for all ages and is handicap accessible.
The only thing I'd love be to see are picnic benches at the base. Families were sitting in the path eating which limited the space on the walkway.

Beautiful park near by but the area is fenced off very tightly. They are bringing down some structures off the side of the mountain. A local said it would be open in about 5 weeks.

The falls are pretty amazing. It was a little cold when we went so we did not go under the falls but it would be even better during a warmer time. The hike is pretty easy.

Have visited a few times with the family. Great for anyone who wants a short hike or just a stroll on a paved pathway. I would suggest early evening since when the sun starts to set you can get some really good photos. You can drive almost all the way to it or park at Nun’s park and take a stroll down the flat paved trail. There are portable bathrooms onsite at the parking lot. This place is busy on the weekends and holidays and less so during the week.
There is a well beaten path you can hike up to about 1/3 height of the falls. There is a side trail that starts near the foot bridge over the river east of the falls that is not marked, but well beaten and fairly hard to miss. It is right next to a small pavilion with a picnic table. There is basically one switch back on the trail and the trail is short (~1/4 mi). There are a few spots on the trail where the trail has eroded severely and the trailer is small. Not the best for young children, those with poor balance, or those who don’t like heights.
Follow the signs in the canyon to the Nun’s Park exit and then follow the road that leads east up the canyon. You can’t miss it.
Enjoy.

Amazing. Gem to visit and easy to get to. Lots of parking. Easy access to see and get pictures. Easy walk if you want to go closer.

This is one of the most beautiful walk/hikes we’ve been on. Flat, paved and easy for kids and wheelchair. The waterfall is approx 1 mile from the first parking area but you can continue up a narrow rocky path above the falls or continue on paved path and make the hike as long or short as you like. We turned back just past the damn and it was about 4.2 miles.
You walk along the river, under a canopy of huge trees that were just beginning to change colors mid September. Bring a picnic, there are several picnic tables near the first parking area, situated near the river under big shade trees.
Suggestion: go early morning before 10 am for the most shade and fewer people.

Great place to Visit, lots of fun out doors with family, closed during the winter months but a great place to visit the rest of the year

Such a short hike to the waterfall! I have never been able to get to a waterfall so easily in my life. Loved it! Lots of water and easy access for photo ops. This is a must visit if you are in the area. The waterfall can be seen from the highway. There is a parking lot and then an easily visible trail up the mountain. The trail zig zags, so it's fairly easy. Or you can take photos at the base of the falls in the parking lot area. Both are breathtaking.

This is a must see when you are in the area. The falls are pretty from the road or up closer. I’m glad we made the trek!

We were on Alpine Loop Scenic Byway and noted this was just a couple miles off course, so we decided to stop here. Glad we stopped!

While driving Hwy 189 from Heber City to Provo we stopped at this easy market and parked at a concrete parking lot. The walk is short and easy and the falls are beautiful. Truly looked like a bridal veil.

Bridal Veil Falls is a beautiful spot along the Provo River Trail in Provo Canyon. It is a great place to explore and take a short hike. The falls are accessible from the road as well as from the pedestrian/bike path. In the winter you can even watch ice climbers scale the frozen water.
Definitely worth a stop!

You can pull over in a pull off and see is from a distance or you can move to another lot and cross the creek and if you are brave, climb up part of the falls. I just enjoyed the view.

Short scenic drive up Provo Canyon. Plenty of parking. Easy walking to Falls and surrounding area. Bathrooms available. When the river is high it can be very tempting but quite dangerous. Keep a close watch on children. Easy to photograph. Falls can be climbed but only by expert rock climbers.

There are a couple of turnouts where you can stop and get some nice photos. Plenty of water coming down the mountain.

This is a very beautiful waterfalls and is very easy yo get to off of Highway 189. You can either ho into the park which will take you to the base of the falls or their is a scenic overlook off the highway. The drive to the falls is quite scenic as well.

Photo op in the midst of vast amount of spectacular of natural beauty. You really need a photographer and a driver.

With a small trek on a paved trail, one can then climb up an easy dirt and rock trail to the Falls. Pretty to enjoy, it makes a nice little outing.

Whether you just wade in the lower pool by the sidewalk or scramble all or part way up to rocks for a closer look, this is a worthy diversion off of the highway. Shoes with good traction recommended for climbing the falls.

There is a walk of about a half mile to get to these falls through a shaded park, not far from Provo Canyon. There is a little boardwalk in front of them where you can wade but it is rocky. Easy access

Getting on and off the highway to the park can be a bit daunting. I imagine the parking can get full quickly in the summer. Light is best in late afternoon.

This is a nice roadside stop, almost like a rest area. You can see the falls right from the road, but I recommend stopping for a closer look and stretching your legs. There are two parking areas - one easily marked, right by the road, and one that is actually below the first parking lot and accessed from a turnoff just west of the main one. The lower parking lot was closed when we went, as was the restroom there. This is likely because of the large snow drift that was still blocking the stream at the waterfall. Parking at the upper area, there's a short wooded trail at the east end of the lot, leading down to the lower area. From there you can cross the stream on a bridge and view the falls, and you can also hike along the stream. The hiking path actually appears to connect up to the next park east, so it's set up well for a bit of exercise if you're interested.

This place gets lots of love. People have wedding photographs taken here. As you are traveling west turn off at the first sign. Proceed though the intersection, this is a remnant of the old highway and park at the second or third parking lot. The first one is always full. The next two are convenient and there is a footbridge next to the base of what once was a cable car building. If you do this in the afternoon you can park across the road, in the shade of the mountain where there is always plenty of room.

Beautiful falls! We went over the holidays and it was really busy, but we were still able to climb around the falls. There is a observation bridge but the kids wanted to climb up a little ways. Prepare to get your feet wet at least! There was an ice cream truck parked there too for the kiddos afterwards. We spent about an hour here and it was Great trip!

There are many Bridal Veil Falls throughout the US and abroad. This one is located in Provo Canyon between Provo City and the Sundance Ski Resort. It is a easy hike from either of two parking areas. It is a very popular location and very crowded on most Spring -Fall weekends. It is part of a trail system that is paved that extends from Vivian Park to the Utah Lake State Park (15.2 miles, Provo River Trail).
There are trail systems that take off the paved trail and up the falls, but I would only recommend that for experience hikers/climbers with proper equipment. People do fall on the upper trails that result in the need for rescues and/or death. Almost all of those problems are caused by inexperience or improperly equipped hikers. My analysis comes from serving over 15 years on Search and Rescue for the area, and being involved in rescues from this exact location.
This is a beautiful area with great vistas. My feeling is Bridal Veil is a small part of the overall beauty of the area. I would only go there if it is part of a larger plan to hike more of the river trail, or drive the canyon. Don't go just to see the falls.
This is a popular location in the winter for ice climbing. Definitely only for the brave of heart, and very experienced.

We stopped here on our way to sundance to hike and take pictures. I could have stayed for hours. Beautiful waterfalls. Great hiking - wish I would have had my fishing pole. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful falls. I would highly recommend it If you were staying in Provo area. It is just a short drive up the canyon

It's was so beautiful! I'm glad I got to go visit. I just love sitting and watching the falls there is plenty of parking space

This waterfalls is only a few miles into the canyon from Provo, alongside a major divided highway. It is surprisingly high. There is a Bridal Veil Park, but a little further east is a sharp turn-off labeled "View Point" (or something like that) that goes to a below-road-level parking area, with explanatory sign, that provides a good view of the falls.

A nice paved walk in the Provo Canyon. Easy to do and about 20 minutes. Always pretty busy. Nice in all seasons.

Bridal Veil Falls is beautiful. It used to be a great adventure as well when the tram carried you to a restaurant and nature trails which were several hundred feet up a very steep ascent. It was magical. I hope they rebuild it some day. For now, only 4 stars because it was so amazing when it had the tram and was a travel and activity destination.

Bridal Veil Falls is a fun place to take the family for a picnic. Nice, walk along a shady, paved trail, next to the Provo River.

Beautiful! Nature is calling to you so, drive by, stop for pictures at a pull off or hike up to get close and personal! Whatever you like, just do it!

Gorgeous hike and the view of water, water, water. Love it with my dog! The falls are lovely, but my favorite is just walking along the rushing stream.

This is a staple for the locals and is very family friendly. You can make it a short quick trip or you can hike the trail for miles up the canyon along the Provo River. *Please do not let your kids play near the water during the snow melt season!

We had heard that the falls were closed. Funny to hear such a thing. What, they turned off the water flow? Nope, evidently years ago a fire destroyed a structure at the top of the falls and they decided to demo it back in April. We headed out to do the Canyon Loop drive which passes by the falls and to our delight we discovered that falls were open and the water was definitely running! LOL!! There's a really lovely park and path that runs along the base of the canyon that is beside a surging river. The river was really flowing, snow melt perhaps. Huge falls, you can climb up to the lower level but be prepared with proper footwear as the trail is steep and has lots of loose stonesl. It was getting late so we opted to skip the climb. Definitely worth the stop!

Loved going to Bridal Veil Falls! The Falls is located in a beautiful park area that is a perfect stopping point for a lunch. We decided to hike up the falls and it was refreshing. It was a little challenging but we all made it up safely and decided to head down the trails on the side. Definitely worth a stop if you are nearby!

This was a nice and easy hike, although a bit hot. Easy paved trail to the trailhead, then a challenging climb up a rocky path. Worth doing

Mom and I needed to venture out. A local suggested this area. It was not a bad drive, we just went at rush hour so it took a little longer. The area has parking and a short walk to the Falls. They can be seen from the road, too.

I had business in Park City, but had an afternoon free between arrival at SLC and my evening meeting. A quick stop at Bridal Veil Falls was the perfect way to break up the drive. There was a nice boardwalk up to the falls which let me get out and stretch my legs for a very short walk. Worth seeing, but I don't think I could spend much more than the 30 minutes I spent hear. There were people climbing the rocks near the falls and children were splashing in the basin at the foot of the falls, so others were clearly making a day of it. It was beautiful but not enough to do or see to entice me to stay.

A must see and be sure to take the hike to the upper falls for the breathe taking views and picture opportunities you will only get from there.

This area has a natural beauty about it. The water falls are spectacular not only from below, but from closer up if you want to hike up to the upper levels to see them. Even on a hot day, you can feel the spray of the water against your skin and it is just stunning to sit and enjoy the peaceful feeling that exists there. It is quite a popular place, so parking can be difficult, but if you choose to go, you won't be disappointed. The stream down below is pretty as well, and nice to dip your toes in to cool off. All in all, this is a great afternoon adventure to take advantage of.

Truly a sight to behold, when in the area be sure to see this. I think it compares with any waterfall we saw on our trip thru Yellowstone

Beautiful waterfall. Hard to find the area to park for the trail... need better signage, otherwise you find the lookout from above only.

This is a beautiful place to stop. I loved how easy it was to hike from parking lot to the falls. The water was crystal clear clean. It was fun to see all the kids wading around. Beautiful day and walking, bike path great!

Bridal Veil Falls is an excellent evening walk with that someone special. It is beautiful. You need to watch the bikes and the skateboards however. They are often too fast and in areas that are meant for walkers only.

Our friends suggested we do a short road trip from Park City to Bridal Veil Falls this summer while we there for a baseball tournament. We loaded up the 12 year old boys and drove the 45 minutes out to the waterfall. Boy, am I glad they suggested this little gem!
The parking lot is easily accessible and the waterfall is a short walk from there. The waterfall is absolutely stunning and the pictures don't even do it justice. The boys had a blast putting their feat in the water and hiking up a little bit to get some pictures. The rocks are tough on the feet and the water is extremely cold so water shoes would have been ideal but they toughed it out and had a blast doing so.
I highly recommend this short little stop...and even the drive out there is stunning. Utah is one of the most underrated scenic places in the US. Loved our little adventure to the waterfall!

The falls are very pretty but tough to get access to since the trail to the falls and the parking lot are closed due to construction which is expected to last several months.

Relaxing walking trails along the river. Grassy areas to relax, and areas to BBQ or picnic. Falls were beautiful, and it's a nice hike up to the base of the falls. We didn't go all the way to the top. That looked much more intense of a hike. Something for everyone. Enjoyed the afternoon here.

Right off the scenic byway is a great smooching spot called Bridal Veil Falls. Just a quick stop on your way to remind that special someone that they are special. Great place to offer a surprise ring.

We stopped with the family as we drove up Provo canyon. The walk is easy enough for all ages and fitness levels, unless you want to hike up by the falls. If you decide to hike up by the falls make sure to have sturdy shoes as it is very steep. And be ready to get wet just in case. There are a few benches along the main path in case you want to sit down.

This is a little out of the way, but on a highway and easy to get to. It was summer and not much water flowing down but it was very pretty to see.

Of Utah waterfalls, this one you can drive right up to, so the little ones can enjoy them. A bit crowded most days that takes away some of the magic. Best way to reach for more mature folks is to cycle up Provo Canyon to it and get some exercise, then continue on up the river another quarter mile and enjoy some good nature.

We drove to see Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. This time we were there Fourth of July weekends. Many people were hiking to get a closer look. The falls are scenic.

A beautiful place to stop, hike and take photos. There were a lot of people there, but it wasn't overwhelming. It's lovely spot. Good place for families to share in the beauty of nature.

Bridal Veil falls never disappoints. You can either walk or ride your bike on the Provo River trail or park nearby at Nunn's Park to go on a short, easy hike. Great for families and there are fun picnic areas next to the river. Highly recommend this. Just a warning though, on Saturdays or generally in the summer, parking can be a bit crazy sometimes.

Short drive from Provo and so beautiful. Right off the highway and you can even walk right up into the falls. Worth the drive for sure. Stop to tube in the water too!

I love these falls because they are literally right where you park. You can walk along the Provo River or just enjoy the falls. Easy to get to and free. No hiking required.

I pass this on my walk on the Provo Parkway trail. Most of the people are hear for pics and sometimes are in the way of the path. The dogs seem to love it though for a cool drink in the stream's cold water. Worth a check out for sure.

If you are visiting Provo, you can see these falls even if you only have half an hour free. And if you're heading past them to another destination, it's still worth it to stop and take a look. On an unusually cold fall morning, with the sun on both trees changing colors and early-season ice, it was spectacular.

We did the short walk to the lower falls. Lots of dogs and kids. It was nice. Then we walked a mile or so north on the main trail and the headed on the trail upwards to the higher falls. Not that well marked as where to turn off. There’s a small cement building at trail head with some graffiti on it. The path was a little rough but not too bad. Very pretty. We went early and there was nearly no one on upper path. A large group was coming up when we went down.

Gorgeous. Places to picnic, scenic walk. The falls are magical. If you can walk up to them and stand under the water or even in the mist its wonderful!

Easy access to bridal veils falls. There are places to have a picnic close to the falls. Also if you like to hike, you can get really close to the falls to feel the breeze and take great pictures.
If you want to take it up a notch, the Provo river is right there and you can raft or tube down it for a fun filled day.

It was a nice beautiful hike. Good place to enjoy with family. Good for biking, picnic and outdoor activities. We enjoyed it!

We stopped here for a short fun hike for about an hour to see the area before heading to our main destination. It was worth it, beautiful view, relaxing to sit by the water & listen to nature! Hike took maybe 30 minutes. A little rough in some areas. Take the trail to the right at the base, near the bridge, go left at the fork, it’s safer! Don’t climb the loose white rocks! If your trail doesn’t look like my pic then you’re on the wrong path to the falls. No signs to guide you to the waterfall. Temp outside was 102 yet the water was freezing! Snow cone stand in the parking lot, worth what you pay, generous amount given. Good fun!

The falls are beautiful year round and there are multiple ways of enjoying them. 1. You can see them clearly as you drive by on the canyon highway. 2. You can pull into a parking right off the highway and take some time looking at them. 3. You can take a turnoff on to the old canyon road and drive in to a parking lot next to a bridge that crosses the river to get to the base of the falls. (I know the old road is accessible up-canyon from the falls, but not sure if it meets up with the current highway down-canyon from the falls. It isn't well marked. If nothing else watch for an almost hidden turn off after you pass the falls.) 3. Take the Nunns Park exit and pull into the parking lot right there. It is a short walk along the river to get to the falls. 4. Once you get to the base of the falls on the main trail, you might want to hike a short distance to the base of the upper steep drop of the falls. The head of this trail is a short distance up-canyon from the falls right off the main trail. The whole experience is very family friendly. One warning -- just because this is very accessible does not mean the area is free of safety hazards. The river is swift in this area. Keep ahold of your children when you are near the river. The trail is also frequented by biker, boarders, and runners. They are supposed to walk through this area, but don't always. Just be aware. It is a very beautiful place.

You can hike from the parking lot to the base of the falls in 10-15 min. Some rocky parts. Fairly steep, So many people there. Because of all the snow this year the falls are fab! This really is not a true hike just a short jaunt up the hill. Nice bridge down below to watch and to play in the run off. No charge... Provo canyon is beautiful and right up the road..... Sundance! Second stop for sure...

This was a nice side trip. Once our gps got us to the correct destination. It is right off the interstate! Plenty of parking. Many locals had children playing in the water, some adventurous folks were climbing a small trail up to the falls.
Waterfall in one direction, snow caps in the other. My fav!

Right off the highway for amateur hikers. Really nice walking trail along the Provo River. 600' falls with a switchback trail to the top that takes a little effort and courage.

We like to go to the falls on Sunday afternoons in the Summer. It is cooler up the canyon and the water and views are spectacular. There is a nicely paved trail along the Provo River. You share the trail with bicycles and skateboarders. It is 10+ feet wide though and easily accommodates foot and wheeled traffic. There is a much more challenging hike up to the falls. It is rather short (20 minutes up to the lower falls). But there are places where my fear of heights makes it scary for me. My teenage sons have no worries. There are often families having picnics in the nearby park with picnic benches. A very nice place to access nature with others.

This is right of the highway. Stop by for a look or take the trail to the falls. Easy parking, and easy sidewalks. We did not hike to the top. But this is a beautiful spot to stop and take it all in. You will not be alone, usually fairly crowded.

It’s nice to get out of town and into the canyon. With paved trails and the river beside it, it’s nice to get to the falls and hike beyond.

The falls were nice, but the paved hiking/biking trail was really nice. It goes for miles along the stream. Close to Orem.

I come here every time I am in Utah. This last time it had been about 2 years since I visited and boy was it crowded! It was Memorial Day weekend so be prepared for the crowds during the holidays.
I did not climb. It's steep and there are falling rocks so please be careful. But i've seen people of all ages come down from the Falls. Great fact. There used to be a restaurant on top and you could use a cable car to get up there. The remains of the cable car is resting in a parking lot.
The Provo River runs right through the area and its also a great site to see. Nice family place to visit. It's free and the views are amazing. Great place to take photos.

Absolutely beautiful site. We viewed it from the pull off on the road. It took our breath away. Very nice story that goes along with the falls. It is written on the sign in the parking lot.

The waterfall is beautiful. It is accessible by multiple parking lots even one across from falls accessible by bridge. It is also has a bike and pedestrian friendly path. Kids can play in shallow pool at base. There is a hiking path starting at west parking area to access the upper falls (we did not go).

still a nice place to get out. Better yet you can go down the river on tube or raft. We did it through High country rafting.

Went here with a group of families. Kids from ages 5-17. Everyone was able to make the hike up to the falls, but on the way down some teens had gone higher than the trail says is allowed and one of the children almost was crushed by a falling rock.

Found it in guide book ( I have good ones) andf it was busy on a Sun. Wonderful bike/ped/dogs! paved trail. didn't do all 14 miles or I wouldn't live to tell about it..

Stunning views for photos, easy hike, pack a lunch and take a picnic. There are a variety of places to walk or hike. You can walk on a blacktop flat trail that goes from the canyon all the way to Utah Lake, or up to Bridal Veil Falls, if you do hike up the Falls, be careful, while the hike is easy there are loose rocks and you can slip easily...

Beautiful falls. Nice walking path and easy to get to. Lots of places to take pictures of scenery. A must see if you are in Provo!

Bridal Veil is a pretty waterfall but it's also super popular. There are always crowds of people around it. We didn't do the hike up to the top. You can see it well from the bottom so it didn't seem worthwhile to tackle the steep ascent. The Provo River Trail that runs by it is an enjoyable walk. There are some picnic tables in the area.

The short walk on the way to these falls is a lovely stroll - plenty of room for roller blades, bikes and strollers

It was only 15 minutes from our hotel and well worth the drive to see it! Took several photos and loved the cascading water fall!

it is the best place to go with family and to talk a walk. and it is also beautiful to and it is fun to feed the fish there to

These falls are lovely and right along the road so you don’t even have to get out of your car if the weather is inclement. There is plenty of parking in a few places also walking paths along the stream which are lovely. There is also a trailhead there to hike more off the beaten path.

This isn't Niagra or Angel Falls, but it is great way to cool off and get a hike in. Even though the waterfall is narrow, it is still beautiful.
There is trail head on the left side of the falls that will take you take you mid-way up to the falls. It is an easy way to get up and down. My husband and I tried to hike up from another area thinking it was a trail, but it ended up being steep trek.
The is plenty of parking and a restroom at the parking area.
This seems to be a popular fieldtrip for kids during the week, which means heavy crowds. But I'm sure weekends and the summer are busy times too.

If you are in the Provo UT area, Bridal Veil Falls is 15 minutes off the freeway or from Provo, BYU or Utah Valley. There is a thin spray of water falling several hundred feet - all year round. It truly appears as a Bride's veil as it gently sprays down the canyon walls. If you are stopping over in Utah Valley, it is well worth the few minutes it takes to see this beautiful site.

very nice hike for anyone of all ages!
my wife and i with my daughter 9 months pregnant and husband went for a stroll to help baby along. the trail to the falls is paved.

This is a fun place to stop by to spend an hour or so just hiking around. There are a lot of people who picnic here and spend the day. For me it is a short excursion destination.

The cascade is striking and is close to the mouth of the well-known Provo Canyon, so it's closer to the city than other hiking sites. You can hike up the left side of the falls for ten minutes (a brief steep incline), to see another perspective of the falls.
This is the nature site to visit if you don't have much time, or on your way to other hikes deeper in the canyon. Because of its popularity, its typically packed at the foot of the falls. You can follow the paved trail to the left (if you're looking at the falls) for a walk of ~2 miles.
One Provo native told me that the falls were named for a Native American bride who dove down the cliff to her death when she found out that the man to whom she was betrothed had been killed. I'm not certain of the origin of this tale, but it does add an extra element of excitement to the visit.

Part of the scenic route from Park City all the way to Moab, Utah. Magnificent falls amidst a stunning fall foliage background....a must see..... We actually stop over to see the Falls again coming back from Moab to Park City....

Bridal Veil Falls is lovely and quite scenic when you are driving through Provo Canyon. You can photograph it right from the road or you can pull down into the parking lot and get a much better view. Many people elect to hike up to the bottom of the falls to take pics or hike even further up for outstanding photos. For those who are unable to walk up the steep incline you can still get outstanding photos!

I took my two boys 3 and 7 to a picnic to the park and then we hiked up the trail to the falls. There was quite a bit of garbage around the picnic tables and they were very filthy. I know it's in the canyon but I've seen cleaner picnic areas. There are Porta potties but they were completely full and needed emptied. Had I known that was the only choice for a bathroom I would have turned around and went back into town to a gas station. I would think with how many people visit there they'd have flushing toilets.
Now the hike to the falls was great. The trail is paved and it is not a hard hike at all. At the falls they have built a walk way where you can sit and put your feet in. It is very shallow and the kids can wade in the water. There is a little pool where you cannot wade and there are probably 5 huge fish in there. They were so fun to watch! It was so beautiful to see the falls coming down the cliffs. You could go up and eat your lunch at the falls if you'd like. I will go back again. I will just make sure we use the bathroom before we get there.

It's an easy hike, paved, boring and tame. The water falls from high up, and then comes down, as per gravity's dictate. Tall and pretty, good for a family hike on a nice day, or for a run, or whatever else you want to do on a paved trail.

These trails were so nice and just surround by mountains, streams and waterfalls. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Plenty of shallow water for kids to splash in or take on a challenge and climb the bottom portion of the waterfall. We could have stayed here all day.

We were here in January amidst the snow so this was quite the adventure. Due to the snowy roads there was not much parking. The walk to view the falls had been cleared (somewhat) but it was worth the view to travel this icy path. I'm sure it would have been better in a warmer month.

We were there in mid September and the falls were beautiful and the Mountain View’s were amazing, we were a group of 10 friends and had a great visit

Headline says it all; it is conveniently located from I-15, 15 minutes tops. As others have said, you can see it from your car, or take it to much higher hiking levels. As the falls are in the south east direction, photos ops would improve if you can make it there later in the day. No charge, plenty of parking.

Easy hike to the base of the falls, paved trail that could be used by all ages. The hike to the top far more difficult.

In route from Moab to SLC, we took a brief side trip in Provo to see Bridal Veil Falls. I was beautiful and flowing rapidly. There was a trail to hike with took you to the middle part of the falls, but we were interested in getting wet. There were lots of other smaller falls coming down the cliff as well. We continued our drive up the mountain for 5 more miles to see Sundance. There are multiple restaurants at Sundance, but we were focused on SLC, so we looked around briefly and then continued our journey. The Falls and Sundance were worth the diversion in our trip.

A few minutes out of Provo.
Lovely paved walk to the base of the falls. Steep trails to climb up the mountainside (about .2 miles) to get to splashing water.
Worth the little hike and a splash of water.

A beautiful falls in Provo Canyon, right off Rt 189. There is free parking and the falls are a short and easy hike from there- a toddler could do it. The falls are pretty, but high up- looks like you can climb up to them for a better view. I didn't do that, as I was in business clothes. If you're in Orem, it's worth the 15 minute drive to see these falls.

Bridal Viel Falls is one of my favorite, laid back hikes. The hike is paved and has little no elevation change. It is very wheelchair friendly. Along the trail there are old mining carts that kids can pose with. Once you get to the falls, there's an area where you can play in the water. You can also hike up to the top, but it is dangerous, and people have fallen and died. But you don't have to hike up to the top, it's only if you want to. It's a great waterfall, would highly recommend going if you have any spare moments in the day :)

Might have been better after a good rain, but when we went in September of 2018, it was pretty dry and not very spectacular. On the upshot, it was better than the Great Salt Lake fly trap.

Bridal Veil Falls can be seen from the highway. There's a very nice park with walkway next to the river. Thanks to an earlier post I knew I could drive right to the falls and park. Lovely walk among beautiful fall colors to get to the falls. Primitive toilets, serve the purpose if needed.

It's all paved, so you can ride you bike, or even take someone in a wheelchair. There is the option of going higher up the trail (that isn't paved, and a lot harder) if you want. Really fun family outing for all ages.

This water fall has a long path of rocks that are able to be climbed. All my kids made it up (7, 9, 11, 13) with little difficulty. It was one of the most beautiful water falls I've seen. Well worth the trip if you're in the area.

So beautiful. Such a fun day, we climbed the Bridal Veil Falls, and then hiked about a mile up to see the hidden waterfall. Great workout and worth it for the cool pics.

We really enjoyed this visit. Great parking, great scenery, good shopping, food, visiting. etc. It was a fun time and I enjoyed my visit. I will go again in the far future perhaps.

It was one sunday in june when I decided to go a little drive to Heber city. It was amazing... and half way to Heber there was this fall.
I climbed up from the fall, you have a change to climb or to walk from the road up and see the fall really close. I recommend to everybody how is in UTAH to visit this place. You will not regret ;)

I've passed through here twice. I definitely need to spend more time here. There's walking, hiking, & cycling. It's absolutely gorgeous here!

Take a walk ride etc to Bridal Veil Falls. It is a great way to get out of the heat in the summer and change of scenery in the winter. A trail starts at the mouth of the canyon and goes all the way to Vivian park. Bridal Veils falls you can hike around it, picnic or camp in the area. Up the road you can tube down the Provo River and drift down past the falls.

Bridal Veil Falls is visible from the highway. By stopping, you can park and walk a short distance to get up close. The base of the falls is shallow, and a great place for kids to play. There is a bridge where you can sit and relax. It is great for a short visit or picnic, but doesn’t provide much of a hike.

Always a beautiful site. Even in the dead of winter this is a place of beauty. Lots of parking with large turn outs

Wish I had more time to actually drive to bottom and not just see from road. Saw people not only at the bottom, but there were those climbing up beside the falls.

Bridal Veil Falls is beautiful and runs all year. There is a trail to get down to an area where you can feel the spray. There's also a parking area that provides good photo opportunities slightly above the falls. It is particularly spectacular in the autumn. Ice climbers are frequently seen in the coldest months of the year.
There is a short, easy, trail that leads to the base of the falls. You will also find a pool of fish there that can be fed with pellets. No suitable hiking trails are available above the first tier of the waterfall. Several hikers have fallen attempting to go beyond the designated trail. Signs are posted cautioning against hiking off-trail.

Have been to Bridal Veil many times but this was the first with my kids. We all had a good walk down the trail to the falls and enjoyed our time their. Autumn is such a great time in Provo canyon.

We did the short walk from the parking area to the falls. We did not try to climb to the top of the falls. Nice views of the falls and the river.

Short walk from parking and a gorgeous view. What more could you ask for? Definitely go see the falls. They were beautiful.

We took our young grand children on this walk to Bridal veil. Very pretty. Make sure to wear clothes to get wet in because you won't be able to resist.

Coming from the south, Provo/Orem, parking can fill the small lot quickly but there are several other lots farther north/east. From Heber the same applies in reverse. A short walk to the scenic photo spot or an easy climb to the bottom of the first falls is nice.

Along the highway there is this beautiful waterfall to see. You can walk the path for miles. On some parts bikers and pedestrians are separated from each other and on are other parts not. Expect lots of families overhere. Parkingspace enough on several parkings.

We stopped at Bridal Veil as part of our scenic auto tour from Park City, through the Guardsman Pass to Midway and Heber City then down to Bridal Veil Falls before heading west to Sundance and Provo. It was beautiful and totally worth the stop. We were getting hungry, so we walked from the closest lot to the falls but it looked like there was lots of trails and picnic areas to spend more time there.

This was absolutely beautiful; one of those sights that leaves an impression in your memory. It was easy enough to find - you can see it from the road, and can park right in front. There is a short hiking trail that leads you up to the middle of the falls, where the upper falls pool before cascading to the lower falls. I was panting and climbed up the last rocks on my hands and knees - my 12 year old daughter skipped up like a mountain goat, laughing at me, so it really depends on your fitness level how challenging the hike is. But, the view and the cool mist definitely make the hike worth it!

We've driven past these falls for years and have "been gonna" hike them forever and finally did. the trail head is marked, but not really well. Look for the sign that said narrow and steep. Also, getting down there isn't the clearest either. There is a viewing area that you can hike down the the trail head from, but if you drive up provo canyon road a little further (a mile or two I guess) there is a turn off that cuts down along the river and comes back out on the other side of thr river from the trail head. Park near the bridge! theres a turn around/parking lot a little further down right under the base of the falls, but then you have to go back up to the bridge anyway to get across. Its wasn't hard for me or my son, but I wouldn't call it an easy hike. it is kind of steep and it is narrow. the entrance section of the trail head is probably the trickiest. All that said, there were plenty of old people and little kids that made it up, so its completely do-able. its slippery up top on the rocks, so mind your step.
Lastly, if you're like us and have driven past forever and keep meaning to get to it, stop waiting, its worth the time.

The scenery is beautiful any time of the year but especially in the fall when the trees turn to brilliant colors. A nice place for a leisurely walk or bike ride, away from the noise of the traffic. Great photo opportunities.

Picturesque Falls....nice walking path...many folks there when we visited. Recommend stopping, not a very involved trail. Family friendly.

Always a beautiful (during warmer seasons) place for exercise, picnics, relaxation, hiking, biking, boarding, walks, and pictures.

This is a beautiful hike from top to bottom. Definitely worth the trip. The location is amazing and makes it a nice hike in any weather.

Bridal Veil Falls is a Provo classic destination. Locals frequent it regularly, and all visitors need to make sure and stop by. Great (and very easy) trails throughout the area, and plenty of free parking.

Stunning views I went on a Friday and at the base of the falls there were a ton of people but the view of the falls and mountains are absolutely gorgeous

I just viewed the falls by pulling off the highway. There is also a trail you can walk to get up to the falls. Either way it is spectacular. I was able to take some pictures as I was in the area on business.
These falls are just a few minutes outside Provo and very easy to get to. Not to mention the surrounding mountains are gorgeous.
No reason not to go!

This is a really cool waterfall. It is hard to get very high because it is steep and there are lots of rocks. There were tons of people that had waded across to start going up. It is worth it to see even if you don’t get out of your car.

This is a beautiful waterfall located right off the freeway. You can park right off the shoulder and take a quick stroll over a bridge to get to the falls or take a 10 minute hike. If you choose to hike, the path is well paved and very easy to do. (Watch out for people skateboarding down). The trail is lined with trees on either side and benches/picnic tables scattered throughout the trail. There are are also portable toilets in the parking lot. The falls themselves are gorgeous. You can take pictures from the trail or climb up from the side or get your feet wet and climb straight up.

Really quick (and completely paved) "hike" to gorgeous falls. Kids really enjoyed it. Fabulous stop just off the highway.

This is a great place and free. Bring some good shoes that you can hike the falls with. You can get to the first level pretty easily and enjoy the cool mist from a magical water fall.

Between Provo and Park City Utah. Paved path along fast water stream. Bikes. Dogs on leashes. Gentle elevations. Single waterfall area. Rest of hike very scenic except highway noise from other side of stream. We walked about 5 miles in and out.

Definitely worth the trip. We used our GPS & input Bridal Veil Falls which took us to a parking lot very close to the falls. If you're not looking to walk a lot, this would be a great location to get a view from the car or take a short walk. I do know there is another lot nearby which would be about a mile round trip walk on a paved path. Everything around the falls was also beautiful! Highly recommend.

This is a 15 minute or so drive from downtown provo. There is a parking lot & paved relatively flat path to the falls. There are lots of greenery & tables if you want to bring a picnic.
It's a 5 minute walk to the falls. It's very scenic & you can stick your feet into the water or climb up some of the rocks in the falls. Looks a little treacherous though so have proper shoes if you climb.
Overall once you spend a couple minutes looking at the falls you find there's nothing else to do/see.
It's a nice little stop but it only takes 30-45 minutes of your day.

This is such an easy falls to access. We parked in the lot just off the highway and then walked down to the area below the falls. There is another route in but we did not see it. The area is well maintained. The legend of the falls was poetic.

Easy walk along your choice of two trails. You can see parts of old mines. The trail is very pretty which follows along a park and river. Yake a picnic with you and enjoy this beautiful place. Very family friendly.

This was a beautiful waterfall with an easy walk to see. It had a nice area to view from and small area to play in the water. There is also a nice bike and walking path if you wanted to take a longer trek.

Short easy walk along a raging waterway. When you get to the falls it really is quite special. Kids can wade. Don't recommend climbing alongside the falls. Looks kind of dangerous to me. Good photo op.

This is a highlight for the Provo area to see. You can take a short 1/2 mile walk to the falls from the parking lot. There are picnic tables to stop and eat at. If you have children, be careful of the fast flowing Provo River that are near some of the picnic tables, especially in the Spring. The falls have a board walk where you can stop and take your shoes off and soak your feet in the water (beware-it's cold!). There is a trail that goes around and up to be nearer to the falls on the mountain side. My children have taken this and liked it. The falls are stunning! There are a few smaller falls to the East and West of these falls too, but not easy access to them. You can see them well from the road though.

We drove out to see the falls but the road is closed due to the avalanche. We drive past the falls and then park. We walk a mile to the falls. If you take a left at the bridge you Caen walk along a shaded path. It is worth the walk.

My wife and I absolutely love taking a nice evening stroll through bridal veil falls. It's a short and easy walk to go through with other hiking options. We've had a picnic at the top of the falls, which was a fun and beautiful place to be!

Stopped here on our way from Park City to Thanksgiving Point. We parked in the parking lot right off the main road- be careful pulling in and out as the main road is 65 mph. We walked about 1/2 mile or so to reach the falls. It was fairly busy with lots of people at the base. There were also some people that climbed up towards the falls. The trail to the falls had some spots with picnic tables so would be a nice place to stop for lunch.

This hike is good if you're just wanting to do something that's pretty quick and easy. It's definitely good for families. Although, it's not a very pretty nor glamorous hike, at least in my perspective. Worth doing just once.

Ample parking and easy access. Very easy walk with beautiful view of waterfall. On our way to Sundance, nice place to stop and stretch the legs.

The drive thru the canyon and he falls was amazing well worth the drive from Salt Lake. The falls alone will be worth the time.

A short walk from the parking lot brings you to a very nice waterfall. It's a little cooler near the falls which is nice in summer. Parking area and trails were a bit trashy. Nice for a quick stop.

A local wonder enjoyed by the commuter and the tourist. Stop to take a breather from the hustle of the city. Roads are busy but well patrolled and safe as could be expected for mountain modern travel

Stop at the designated lot and walk 1/4 mile to view the falls from the base. On Trip Advisor directions and TA geo-pin: be careful, this review is not about the same place. Not certain what TA has pinpointed- maybe an upper elevation trailhead access, and perhaps another reviewer can enlighten. Small children and adventuresome teens will want to jump down about a foot and explore the base rock area, mostly wet, and then make their way upwards past the “at your own risk” sign. Bigger rocks slipperiest; father holding baby slipped getting down to rocks and it was a near-disaster!

It's worth the stop, a pretty falls. We walked up the path but there is also a very close parking lot. Very popular!

Great little hike! My kids enjoyed feeding the fish as well. Family friendly environment but can get busy on a Saturday.

The waterfall is adjacent to a 13 mile paved trail that runs by the Provo River. It’d be so fun to bike the whole thing. Waterfall is stunning and easy to get to - a steep short trail will get you up there but you get as close as you need to for beautiful photos with an easy short walk from your car. A great quick stop could be even better if you have time to walk along the river path. Highly recommend.

Right off the highway, with hiking trails, pedestrian bridge over the Provo River. Readily accessible by bicycle also.

We walked up the trail for about a mile. Not far from the parking lot you can walk to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. Beautiful! The path goes in for miles. Lots of bikes, joggers and walkers. Just be mindful of others on the trail.

Beautiful waterfall. There are actually two. Upper and lower. About a quarter mile from each other. Weather was warm. Very crowded, but we did go on Labor Day weekend. People having fun. Everyone was nice and polite. There was even an ice cream truck.

The falls are beautiful any time of year. The fall and winter are exceptional. It is up a canyon and easy to travel to. The winter experience is totally different. The fall freeze over and often you can see Ice climbers on the falls.

I had heard of this and truly never understood why the name, now I do, when the water is flowing well from the melt off, it looks as delicate as a bride's white veil... must do... nice little hike to get back to it... do plan for the short walk... it is not right at the parking lot, you have to take a short hike and worth it... kids loved climbing pretty far up the rocks...

when driving to Sundance/ParkCity or simply in the area, Bridal Veil Falls is a must stop for either a quick stop at the upper parking lot or a hike further down. well worth your time

This hike is awesome cause it is just a nice one day Sunday type hike. I have done it multiple times and it always is so enjoyable.. Go as high as you can for a little more adventure

wear your water shoes, you can climb most of the way up, or just stay at the bottom and play with the littles. Either way, refreshing. Easy to get to,park right across the bridge or park a little further down to enjoy the 10 minute hike.

Park at Vivian Park and head up to the falls. Take some quarters and feed the large Rainbow trout in the little pond, sorry, no fishing there. The trail is paved and although a little steep in places, it is a great walk. BUT watch for the Bike riders.

This amazing site did not require a trek up mountains or a mile walk along a trail. It was as easy as taking and exit and parking the car to take a 50 step walk to see the waterfall! The scene was beautiful!

This is a must see if you drive Provo Canyon. Easy access and very beautiful. There is a turn out on the highway or you can park and walk to the base of the falls.

Although I grew up in Provo only 10 to 15 minutes away from bridal veil Falls after being away for 21 years I forgot how absolutely beautiful that waterfall is and it amazes me that more people are not up there or how close it is to the city if you are visiting Provo I highly recommend visiting broad of the falls and you can actually hike up to the falls but be careful the hike is slick in some places have fun

Bridal Veil Falls is a beautiful view in a convenient location. Either walk up the paved walkway for an easy stroll, or go off the paved path and hike up to the bottom for an even more beautiful view and experience.

Easy to get to for the whole, family. Kids and adults loved it. Fun place to visit while driving through Provo Canyon

This is worth a stop and parking is available. Walk across the bridge over the Provo river and walk the bike path to the falls cascade down the mountain.

Cool little walking park. Places for picnics. Short walk to the falls but there was some construction happening where some parking lots were shut down. Does not get much sun in the morning so can be chilly. Heavily used

Bridal Veil Falls is one of the most beautiful attractions in Utah Valley and especially in Provo Canyon. Always good for a good nature walk with the kids and grandkids .

What a beautiful place. But like much of Utah, construction and the destruction of nature reigns supreme. This canyon has been hammered repeatedly over the century in the effort to divert ever more water, and it shows. But what a great trail! After a long day of driving, it was a relief to take a long walk and hear the sound of water flowing. I just hope they finally finish all the work soon.

Other than the fact that we went on Labor Day (along with everybody else trying to squeeze in one last summertime outdoor activity), it was a fantastic visit. Even with the unusually large crowds, the trail never felt crowded, even with walkers, joggers, cyclists, and long boarders all sharing the paved path.
The falls were lovely, and some dared to venture up the side of the mountain to be closer to the falling water, others soaked their feet in the pool at the bottom, and most just milled around enjoying the scenery. The falls are fairly early in the hike, and you can continue for quite a ways, nestled between the mountains with a river following the path.
The views were amazing, with ample opportunities for photography. Plenty of places to rest along the way, and lots of grassy areas near the bottom parking lot for picnics and such. Hiking was not grueling, because of the long, easy grade. Lots of families and dogs, and just minutes away from Orem and Provo.

This is a nice waterfall right off the highway and no entrance fee. There are picnic tables and barbecue grills in the little park nearby as well as a paved biking and walking trail. If you're a bit more adventurous, you can hike up a dirt trail for 15 minutes and feel the spray on your face. That trail is narrow in places, though, so be careful. If you go on a summer weekend, expect crowds.

My brother and sister-in-law took us here on our honeymoon and it was the perfect trip. The view is just breathtaking, there were snow cones on site being sold, you can walk right up and get into the water coming down from the falls.

Love these falls. The sound, the spray, and the atmosphere make it special any time of day. Without the falls, the canyon would not be so scenic.

It has a couple of fire pits you can use, and is great for walking, running, or long-boarding. The incline isn't too steep, so it's pretty idea. Just watch out for other people that might be boarding late at night.

Maybe we visited too many waterfalls and this one was strong at the beginning of April but we were not very impressed. We have a nice walk from the parking lot along Provo river, took few nice photos. If you would like to get some good ones too, plan to visit this place afternoon when sun goes to the West and waterfall is all under the sun.

Lovely falls with an interesting legend, which is retold on a historical marker near the upper paring lot. Wonderful photo-op.

Beautiful waterfall to spend an hour or two. Not much to do except relax and enjoy nature and the waterfall. Worth the trip if you have never been.

Wrong time of year to visit. The canyon has several water falds, all of which were down to trickles.

It's a short stroll from the carpark to the falls. The falls are nice and in the area are some good roads for walking or cycling. It's a good detour when you are in the area.

We visited the falls late afternoon when it was cooler. Only a short distance but steep hike to the waterfall. Path is challenging in places so strong footwear is recommended if you choose this route. Beautiful waterfall and well worth the climb. Great photo opportunity. Recommended!

Over the years I've been to these falls over 50 times, over all seasons. Regardless of month or time of day they are always beautiful. In the winter when frozen they offer world class ice climbing, and as such have appeared in a variety of extreme sport documentaries. Bridal Veil Falls never disappoints. Fun first date... can be romantic.

If you're a serious backpacker/hiker, you will be disappointed with this hike/walk. It is a paved trail with a slight incline for about a half mile to the falls which is right on the path. The area below the falls is an area that people just sort of hang out at including kids and moms looking for a break.
If you're looking for an easy hike after being on the road for several days and still recovering from food poisoning, but want to get some fresh air and see some beautiful aspects of Utah, then this hike will be perfect for you!
Either way, nice little walk and the falls are lovely.

If we had driven the interstate from Salt Lake to Provo we would have missed it! Breathtaking - and the sound from the rushing river below is wonderful. So glad we found it! You don't have to climb it to enjoy it.

This is a really nice place to take your kids. There is a shallow pool at the foot of the waterfall that they can safely walk in. Water shoes are recommended. Hiking up the side of the falls is great for ages 10-12 and over. Just don't expect any solitude.

The walk from the parking lot to the Falls is less than one half mile along a very pleasant path with no substantial rise unless you walk the bike trail. The Falls are really 3 phases of one tall waterfall and a great place to just rest and relax.

You can pull into the parking lot at the bottom of the falls for a view looking up or to climb up to the mid-point of the falls. However, the view from the pull-out on the main highway gives the best view with no effort at all! Don't miss it! And don't forget to turn around (back to the falls) to see the beautiful mountain scenery.

We took our youngest two up to Bridal Veil Falls to do a little hiking. The water was pretty low flow in August, but the falls were still gorgeous. We love walking the paved path along the river and the boys enjoyed feeding the trout in the pond below the falls.

No hiking needed to see this gorgeous view. Parking right next to the falls. But we hiked up the hill to see the falls from a different angle. If you go that route it's very steep and the path is not always clear or easy. But if you have the nimbleness of a goat you'll be fine :)

Driving back to hotel from Wasatch and stumbled on this beautiful waterfall cascading down the face of the mountain. There are upper and lower viewing areas and a trail up to the falls for the more adventurous.

When traveling from West to East, we always go via Provo and stop here for the natural beauty of the Falls and surrounding area. So scenic, serene, clean and quiet enough to hear the awesome Falls. Park area still closed this time, but when open offers, picnic area, trails, and rock climbing. A bit down the road, the fishermen were trying their best to land trout. A fun, relaxing, freebie while traveling and well worth the stop.

We just stopped at the upper parking lot to have a look at the falls. They are beautiful as a bridal veil, and easy to see with very little effort. It is a lovely area for hiking if you want to get closer to the falls. Worthy of a visit.

This is a really high falls and unlike its namesake in yosemite valley this one lasts all year round.Parking for photos is easy about halfway up provo canyon.

Beautiful short walk to some very pretty falls. Lots of families enjoying outdoor time. Can walk up into the falls as well. The opposite view from the falls is pretty amazing too. Makes you think about how long this planet earth has been here. Worth the stop and the fresh air!

Nice walkin path that connects two parks where we saw a nice size cave, plenty of wildlife, n of course Bridal Veil Falls. It's a MUST to climb to the top of falls. U will get ur sneakers wet n best to climb where the water flows. The side paths r a bit slippery. U won't b disappointed at the top.

Great trail and easy access and great for kids and grandparents! Picnic area just up the road and east access! Love it 12 months of the year!

You canot miss this waterfalls. You need to view it from a distance and up close. The parking can be limited, but worth it.

The falls wasn’t as grand as I expected. Maybe it had been a dry summer. Yet, not sorry we stopped. Beautiful views and great photo opp moment.

If you don't stop you can still see it from the highway. We got to see it twice a day going and coming from Sundance Resort and it never got old. Right now it has lots of ice on it and is a wonderful view. I am sure it is quite the view during the other times of the year, especially after a rain fall.

We stopped by at the highway pull off and took pictures. This truly is a very nice waterfall. REcommend tht you visit in the afternoon so that you get nice lighting on the falls. There is trails that allow you to walk up along the falls if you are so inclined.

I was lucky enough to be in town in Salt Lake City when it rained so I rented a car and drove 50 miles to view this beautiful triple decker waterfalls. The ride to Provo was less than an hour and afterwards I decided to go "Hike the Y".

Stopped on the road side to take photos, didnt go to the park. Wouldve stood there longer to enjoy but cold out :-)

This is a beautiful falls, that is right off the highway. There is no need to hike to see it if you park in the middle area, unless you opt to hike up to the mid point and enjoy the cool mist. After our long hike up to Bells Canyon Waterfall, this would have been a much easier choice to start with!!! The only con; it was a really busy spot! It was hard to get a good picture because there were so many people in the water.

We live close to Bridal Veil Falls and take family members and friends often. We have hiked the falls on the trail - easy hike and good for children. We walk or bike down the trail at least a couple of times a week. Pleasant, shady trail.

There is a small parking lot and short paved trail to get to the falls. The kids love to walk the trail. They had trout at the base of the falls and little vending machines to buy fish food. You can hike up the falls on a short trail if you want to get wet. Beautiful in the fall or winter when the temps get below freezing.

We visit here at least once a year, and it is always enjoyable. The temperature is a little cooler in the canyon than in the valley below. I visited with a friend from out of the country, and he had never seen anything like it before.
Bridal Veil Falls is a pretty waterfall. Not a lot of water comes down, but it comes down all year, and there is a nice pool at the bottom. There are nice picnic areas nearby.

Bridal Veil Falls is right off the highway. There is ample parking and there are bathrooms. You only have to walk about 5 minutes to get to the falls and it's along a paved/packed dirt easily-traversed path. Once you get there, yes, there are lots of people also enjoying the view, but there is plenty of room to spread out and get pictures. I dipped my feet into the water and was surprised at how cold it was in early September! Some people were climbing up the sides to get closer, and my husband tried, but he said it was not that safe (and he's pretty much a daredevil!). It is truly a beautiful view of some of the best nature has to offer.

This is a lovely little spot on the route of a scenic drive. We went on a Tuesday afternoon in June and it was packed with people.
It's a fantastic spot for photos if you carefully frame your shots. There is a little wading pool area where kids can play in the cold water.
It's a little bit of a walk from the parking area, but it's not bad. There's plenty to see on the way.
It's worth stopping to see!

My friend group has gone on this same trip to prove for three summers now. We did not make it to bridal veil fall this year, but we did go the first two years. It is so beautiful. There are some nice hikes to do there and great places fo picnics. If you are from arizona like myself, it can be a bit on the chilly side so plan accordingly ( ie. Bring a light jacket). 10/10 would recommend

My friend and I decided to take in some of the local sites and drove outside of town to see the famous Bridal Veil Falls. I didn't imagine something as grand as Niagara Falls but thought it would be big enough anyway. We almost drove past it without noticing it. It is a cute little falls that creates a small stream down the side of the mountain. Very quaint. There are a lot of neat little walking trails and it was really nice and quiet. I just imagined something a little bigger is all.

A beautiful highway-side waterfall that cascades down majestic geology with plenty of picnic, walking, wildlife viewing and fishing nearby.

On our way to SLC airport from ST George we stopped to see the Bridal Veil Falls. We exited at Provo and went past BYU Football stadium. The falls and the creek below were rushing water which suprised me for August. Nice road stop to get out of the car for 15 minutes. Several people walked half way up the falls.

It's so easy to get right up to the falls. The kids can clamber about the water and rocks, it's easy to access from Nunn's park and is situated along a great running/biking trail.

It was short hike but incredible waterfall to enjoy. We were able to go down tha falls and take pictures. The trail was easy. Very lushly.

Bridal Veil Falls is definitely worth a look, even if only for a quick stop. I parked in the parking lot at the bottom while it was still dark. The falls are illuminated with artificial light overnight, but watching the sunrise through the valley is an incredible sight. The parking lot at the bottom gives you a great view of the falls, the valley, and some of the large snow-capped mountains.

This is an awe-inspiring, spectacular waterfall, well worth a visit. There is a viewpoint with plenty of parking just off the highway, or you can park at the trailhead and hike to the waterfall.

You may find this place amazingly beautiful in the Fall; however, Winter is also beautiful. I often run from my home to these falls. I have grown up with this feature and I certainly try not to take it for granted. Waterfalls are always amazing to view. And with an easy access to them, why not stop for a few minutes on your way to Sundance or Park City?!

We had a lovely 15 mile recumbent trike ride to bridal veil falls. The Provo parkway trail led us right to the falls. The fall colors were breathtaking. I could not stop taking photos. There is a trail leading up to the falls, but as I was wearing bike shoes and am 74 I chose not to do the hike today. But if I had been better prepared I would have given it a try.

Great spot to take the kids and grandkids, and also walk, bike, skateboard, or run up and down the paved trail, for several miles if you want.

A short walk on a paved path leads you to the base of the waterfall. It is a lovely waterfall and a must see while in Provo.

Getting to the falls is a short drive up Provo Canyon. Pretty, simple, on the way to Sundance. From parking, it's a very easy hike (walk along a paved path). Well worth seeing.

We stuck to the paved trail and got to the waterfall quickly and easily. I love waterfalls and seeing this one was a lovely treat! It’s a double waterfall with one at the top trickling down to form another waterfall that flows to the bottom of the paved trail! We wanted to walk higher up to another waterfall but a sign was up that said “closed” so we decided not to go even though many people were (I’m starting to think that the closed sign is always there and it wasn’t actually closed to public) but that’s okay! Just means I get to experience the other waterfall another day!

This icon of the Provo Canyou is always a delight with smooth wide asphalt walkways allowing any human mode of transportation. Ice and snow were already adorning the landscape when we were there.

Bridal Veil Falls is a great little hike. Along the way we saw a number of families with wee ones and pups. We were there in the middle of summer for a wedding, so in other words, it was HOT, like really hot! This little hike is great, because you're rewarded with a nice cool waterfall. I'm sure we spent more time sitting and wadding into the bits of water than we did hiking up and down. It has beautiful views. It's not really far from civilization so the drive is not long! If you get the chance, go and enjoy the area!

I freaking did it!!!! YES! The fur baby and I made it on a sunny and warm afternoon from SLC. We headed out a bit later in the day then we planned, but decided to go for it. The drive was approx 45 min.
We arrived to a large Parking lot with a bathroom and parked right in front of the falls.
There’s a lot going on here even on a hot summer day. Hiking. Biking. Running. Dog walking. Kids on field trips. Grandparents doing their thing. And alot of tourists and locals alike enjoy this spot
As a former resident of SLC I only have experienced this from the irking lot in the fall when there was the gondola team thing. Since taken out
This was the first time my princess got in the water by herself! I was so happy with that! We sat for about an hour enjoying the view and chatting with kids and other adults and dog lovers.
There was no fee to enter or park (unlike many of the other stops that we made that day). The water was clear and freezing but that was perfect for the hot day.
Bring your sunscreen
Towel
And some food and water
Plan to stay a while and enjoy the amazing view

I live here in the area so I have been to the waterfall many times and I have seen many changes to the facility where it resides. To be honest, it is fun to be up close and hike up to the falls, and I would recommend you do that for sure, but, I prefer to view the waterfall from the lookout point on the main canyon road. There is a pull out. The location of the trail at the water fall has you really close. This trail is a paved road traveled by bikers and walkers etc. It is usually busy and you are really close. You can feed some fish at the pool at the bottom and you can also take some dirt trails that lead up to the base of the falls. You may not know this but it is dangerous to go to the top of the falls, many people have had to be rescued and I hate to say this but there have been deaths because it is confusing up there and you can get into some sketchy areas. In 2017, in the fall, when the leaves were changing it was a spectacular view. Enjoy.

There were several families hiking up the lower portion of the falls, but for people with limited mobility it is a must! The falls are on the road just outside of Sundance and there is a parking area conveniently located to stop in and take photos if you choose not to take the short hike to climb the waterfall itself. Truly a majestic find!

Very easily accessible water falls from the parking lot. Very busy location when it is warm. People try to climb the falls. I am surprised more people don’t slip and fall and break some bones. It was too crowded in the summer to take any nice pictures. But the kids enjoyed being splashed by the mist at the base of the falls.

We enjoyed hiking this trail. Our pictures in front of the falls are beautiful. Gradual ascent/descent with rocky terrain. Couple sharp turns with steep drop off if you fall, but I thought it was an easy, comfortable hike. Because we went on a cold morning, it was a bit slick as we neared the waterfalls from the spray of the water freezing a bit. We walked a bit slower in that spot and all was good. We really enjoyed this area.

But we also like the nearby parks which are good for a picnic with frisbee or other games. We have also done family bike or scooter rides, leaving somebody at the grill in the picnic area. This helps to pass the cooking time. The scenery is GREAT, which is why we like this place.

Great afternoon trip to view the falls. We were in awe of the beauty and easy access to the falls. Good for a quick trip, but better if you have a couple of hours to explore.

There were several ways to access these falls and they were lovely. The locals helped us find them, but really, it was very easy. There was a place for adventurers to get closer and climb up. It was fun!

The falls are cool and all but because this is right off the highway, there are way too many people. I would prefer to hike up to Timpanogos or Stewart Falls off the Alpine Loop. Avoid on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, way too many people.

Excellent view. Short drive from Provo, UT. Best photography in the afternoon due to sun angle. Upper level parking off highway 189 offers a great view.

I was in the area for business and I asked the locals what could be some of their recommendations to see in the area. Bridal Veil Falls was one of them. I am so happy I got to see it. It is a beautiful magnificent view on the both sides of the road and the story behind it is an amazing sacrifice love story. If you are in the area, please do not hesitate such a stunning view that Utah has to offer.

Bridal Veil is a great place to be alone, or share with others. the wonder of nature, the beauty of Provo Canyon, and the surrounding improvements for walking are really inspiring!

Lovely little trail and a lovely little waterfall. It was gorgeous, even in the winter, and the water still flows while the area around it is frozen. The hike through the snow isn't too arduous, and the view is very pretty.

The view of the falls was great, it was right of of the road with the ability to drive right to the base of the falls.
A nice stop on the way up the canyon
This a nice spot to stop on the way up to Sundance or Heber. The falls can be seen from a rest stop or you can park in a lot and walk along a bike/walking trail right to botton of the falls. If you're up for it, there is a parking lot at the mouth of the canyon. Jump on the trail with a bike or run, walk, jog to the trail. This is one of my favorite places to go in Utah County. I have biked to the falls, walked from the parking lot to the falls, and stopped at the rest stop off the road. Either view is stunning. One thing...people hike up the side of the falls. I, myself, would never do it and I would never recommend it.
