It was a very pleasant moment ! All the staff of the brewery is very friendly ! Having access at the backstage and the VIP room was a great moment !
And off course... The Brooklyn beer is always awesome !
Thanks to all the staff !

We visited the brewery for a tour and it was brilliant, I've visited a lot of breweries and this one was very good. The actual bar area is very cool and has a great selection of beers.
It's in a nice area of Brooklyn with a lot of cool bars and places to visit.

Great your with great Beers to gaste. John, our host, was amazing. So passionate about what he does.

Great tour! Great guide!
Surprises included ;)
Not that easy to find if you re not familiar with the streets of Brooklyn.
Good English Level recommanded.
Can’t use cash to pay for the tour.

Carlsberg don't do brewery tours but if they did it would probably be the Brooklyn brewery one... Amazing! Friendly staff. World class beers. Awesome venue!.

We went to the Brewery to go on one of the Brewery Tours and had an amazing time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, you could see he had a passion for what he was talking about and that allowed us to learn a lot. It was great getting to see the brewing and fermentation rooms and gain an insight into what goes into the beer. The tasting session was fantastic, and my partner (who “doesn’t like beer”) found 3 beers that she loved! Overall this was an incredible experience and getting to unwind in the bar afterwards and try several different beers was a perfect end to the tour.

We visited this local icon for a friend's birthday celebration and were LESS THAN IMPRESSED!
There was a 20-30 minute wait just to enter the premises, and then once inside, we had to wait in yet another line to purchase beer. (While in THAT line, security was constantly barking at the crowd to "move up, stay close"... Totally detracting from the 'enjoyment' of our visit). Once we reached the counter, we had decided on the TWO choices we were allowed to make... Only to discover that they were out of SUMMER ALE, but just hadn't bothered to remove the sign 😔.
The ONLY positive thing I can say... The cost was reasonable : $6 per 12oz, but only on select drafs.
My husband (the beer connoisseur) said it best : ONCE and DONE!

We visited The Brooklyn brewery for The love of Beer. Felt welcome, Staff isfun and helpfull, they know their business. And The most important thing: Beer IS exellent!

This is a must if you love Brooklyn beer. They have a shop as well and also non alcoholic beer which was delicious . Great place to visit

We had the most amazing tour with Steve. He had a ton if interesting bits and pieces to share, and such a welcoming attitude we ended up having a great time throughout. We also appreciated the brewery bar afterwards with a wider selection of drafts than usual and discovered some new favorites.

Great tour, guided us through the beers and gave a great insight into the brewery's history. Would definitely recommend for any craft beer enthusiast.

We have been on this tour 2 times before, and there is always some new beers to taste. Our guide, James, was very enthusiastic and gave us the best tour by far. He really made our visit a great experience. Thank you James, and hopefully you will be our guide the next time we visit NY and Brooklyn Brewery.

Small batch tour was perfect to look around brewery. It includes one can of beer and free samples during the batch tour. You can taste the different types of beer. The tour guy was so enthusiastic and fun! He made this tour much fun! I would love to visit again. And We got beer glasses after the tour!

This is my second time visiting. They are awesome! Great vibes, great beer, great people! Will definitely come back whenever we have a chance!

I went to the brewery tour together with three friends and it was very fun! It was informative, and you also got to try quite some beers.
I would really recommend this experience

The beer tour was great! Sloane was a great guide and kept it interesting! The variety of beer is great as is the atmosphere! Worth the trip!

Looks like this place is still popular, but in my opinion they have really screwed it up. We've visited every other year when we travel to NYC and have been here four times now. When you have to wait over an hour for a beer (more than double the time it took us at the One World Observatory), there is a problem. I understand about waiting to get in on a Saturday afternoon, but once we were in the door it was 35 minutes before I had a beer in my hand. The "old" system of buying tokens for beers was far superior to waiting for the understaffed bar tenders to deal with payment.
Most of our wait was because there were only two bartenders actively working at the bar. They definitely were not in a hurry and were chatty with friends, etc. There was a "security" person trying to cram people ahead into the line when his time could have been much better spent pouring beers! Would have made the line move much more efficiently than whatever he thought he was doing.
We were with friends who were there for the first time and were a little embarrassed about the time we spent when we had a full itinerary. The beer is decent and the place was busy - so maybe it's my problem, but never again!!

Interesting tour made fun by James. Not too long and plenty of tastings offered. Nice welcome from lady at reception/shop and immediate beer offered was a great start. Ordering beer via phone was a bit odd when the bar is literally just behind you but it worked well and drinks arrived almost immediately! All gender bathrooms need some more thought, not a great experience when urinals are behind a curtain in the one block.

Amazing host, very knowledgeable and welcoming. He showed us the whole process and gave us 3 great beer to taste

Tour was insightful and the beer tasting was great. Joe was a really good tour guide and made everyone laugh. We had 4 beers to try during the tour all great and some of them exclusive to the tour. Deffo worth doing the tour.
After the tour we stayed in the tap room and got some dinner recommendations from one of the other bar staff members which turned out to be also really good. Can’t remember his name unfortunately but I do remember he was a Brazilian guy.

What can I say, we loved every minute of it! The atmosphere is just friggin' awsome! We did the tour with Timothy, who is hilarious by the way, and found it very interesting, he even posed for a photo with us two randomers! Haha.
The beer token thing is great too! $20 for 5 beer tokens and a great selection of small batch craft beers to try and then drink! You could easily spend all night here, and rack up a hefty hole in your wallet (which we werent complaining about), and possibly a massive hangover too! (Luckily we didnt get one!)
We would highly recommend this place, as well as the Naranjito orange tasting beer and the 7.2% Sorachi Ace beer, both at 1 beer token each, or the Black Chocolate stout for 2 beer tokens! 🍻
Cheers guys!

Ellie was an exceptional guide and made our brewery tour interesting and fun. And the beers we tasted were amazing! Definitely recommend.

Nice and interesting tour with a friendly and engaging guide. Our tour included some tasting of different kind of beers.

Went to Brooklyn Brewery today and had a free tour of the facility. Tours run every 30 minutes. Enjoyed hearing the history and how to make beer. Guide was great and knew a lot. After tour you can go into their beer bar and enjoy many of the beers. Definitely recommend a trip but it not an all day event.

Really interesting tour. Friendly staff. Cool little place and great to try the differents beers while walking round.

Great tour with relaxed vibe and entertaining guide. Informative, but not overly in-depth. For enthusiasts and noobs alike :-)

Decent sized building in Williamsburg.
Good range of beers on offer with a number of guest beers available.

I enjoy a Brooklyn Beer so decided it would be worth the trip out to the brewery to find out more. We were not disappointed and found a nice bar in a really nice and peaceful area of the city (particularly having spent several days in Manhattan). The tour around the brewery was alright although it was quite small and there wasn’t a huge amount to see. The real highlight, however, was being in the tasting room. Our guide talked us through the history of the brewery and the beer and the logo, all of which was very interesting. Certainly did not leave thirsty and felt for the price it was worth the visit.

The guides were well spoken and knowledgeable - and it was a fun and different way to spend the evening.

Came over from the UK during September 2018. Booked this tour for my husband 60th birthday. We were welcomed given a free glass, tour was great, guide knew his stuff. To end we got pull a pint of beer at no extra cost 10 out of 10

Very fun tour, learning the brewing magic and drinking good crafts.
Plus a gift at the end of the tour.
I loved.

I loved the free tour so informative. Good beer and food, nothing to complain about. Get there early as it gets packed.

Great Day! Great Variety of beers exceptional hospitality...go for the tour and stay for lunch. You can BYOF or they have a good snack menu.

Great fun tour - made very enjoyable by an interesting and engaging history of the brewery by the tour guide - would highly recommend

Very interesting, short introduction into brewing beer and a lot to taste! You can see how brewing is done live

Amazing tour, great stories about how the brewery came to life, not just how they make the beers.
Speaking of beers, there’s an amazing selection on offer at great prices. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming and the bar has a great vibe.
Only criticism is if you don’t like beer this place ain’t for you. Sounds obvious but what I mean by that is there is only beer on offer...but they are some of the best beers you’ll have. Try some of the vintage beers that have been in bourbon barrels. Out of this world.

Very cool beers out there! You can join the tour but also have a homebrewed beer. East IPA and Defender IPA for instance! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere and very reasonable prices too. Support you local brewer folks!

The tour was informative, the beer tasting was great fun. Rachel, the host, was excellent. Thanks for a great experience, we loved it!

Staying in Brooklyn for a week and invested in the New York Pass to make our sightseeing a little easier.
Through the app you can claim back a beer to the value of $6 at their onsite bar.
Loads of beer on offer and it’s free so everyone wins!
Heads up not a lot of choice for soft drinks or alternatives.

Great tour and tour host. Went through the whole brewing process aswell as samples of beer and the best way to try a beer.

What a find in Brooklyn. A wonderful tour of thw brewery with samples of their brewing. Very informative. Well worth it

Williamsburg is abooming area! Reconstruction everywhere, nice cute Shops, new places, ... and the brewery right in the middle.
If you love beer, you will love this place. We didm´t take the tour, just had some beers in the nice bar. It was worth coming.

This is not your average technical and very historic brewery tour. Instead, you get a can of the signature Lager in your hand before the tour starts, and by the time it’s finished, you’ll have had three more great beers from the newest variants the brewery has to offer. In between all the beers, you’ll learn about the process of making beer, how to drink it properly and the charming story of how the brewery began. All this told by young, cool, friendly and nice guides. When the tour is over, I recommend everyone to stay at the brewery’s own bar to check out the rest of the beer selection.

Pleasant brewery where you can taste different types of beers. Relaxed atmosphere, the room vast but looks more like that of a canteen rather than a pub. There is a corner where you can buy gadgets.

Do the tour, drink some beer, eat the snacks. It’s good fun and the people are friendly. The salsa and chips are worth it.

Interesting hearing about the history of the company, Joe did a great job talking about the brewing process and it was fun trying the small batch beers.

We waited outside in the cold to get in this place and once inside, had to get in another long line just to buy beer. We got two flights so had 8 beers to try. If we had wanted more, none of us were wiling to get back in the beer line but we are glad we stopped by.

I booked this before we came to NY. Was easy to get to on the subway!
Loved the tour, and also the beer you got during it. It’s great they have a huge bar for drinks after. The merchandise shop was also great we came away with quite a few things!
Would recommend

Tour guide was great. Really knowledgeable and engaging. Fascinating building. Enjoyed trying new and different beers. Loved getting a beer to start and walk round with! All staff were super friendly.

Brooklyn Brewery offers inside tour with a 4 beer tasting. After 6 pm the bar also open for the external customers.Very friendly and nice place, it also offer merchandise and retrogames, while you tasting theri beers. For the drinks they only accept tokens that you could buy at the entrance (the deal is 20$ for 5 token). Higly recommended also for a non -loving friend.

Booked a tour on a whim the day prior. The tour was okay as far as tours go but our guide was informed and had a good sense of humour making it an enjoyable experience. The samples were more generous than other brewery tours I’ve been on so if you like beer this is for you. The 4 beers samples were all delicious and different. The tap room was lively with plenty of seating.
Also...don’t plan to drive here. As I said...the samples are generous.

A little short tour. But the tour guide was excellent, interesting stories and good knowledge about the brewery. The beer was good too 😊

I enjoyed the tour and several kinds of beers in brooklyn brewery.
I wish I could drink more kinds of those beers in my country(Japan)
(As I know,we can have 1 kind of brooklyn brewery's beer in Japan)
ブルックリン ブルワリーでは見学ツアーと、たくさんの種類のビールを楽しむことができました。
日本でも色んな種類のブルックリンブルワリーのビールが飲めればいいんですが。。(知っている限り今は一種類だけ)

The Brooklyn Brewery has quite a large selection of beers. The brewery is rather open concept with plenty of seating. I was there on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 and the place was busy. Highly recommended making the trip from Manhattan. There is free wifi as well.

Nori was a great guide. A lot of insight into the beer making process and he made it fun. A lot of beer to try and we would recommend it.

Craft beer brewery in Brooklyn
Went on a Sunday, good beer and a free tour of the facility
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff
Have been on a number of brewery tours - Hyde’s Anvil, Manchester; Tuckers Malting, Newton Abbot; Theakstons, Masham; Black Sheep, Masham; West, Glasgow. All good but none with the USP of a chandelier - remember to ask why....

Interesting tour with great tasting. Not expensive and try the Sour beers. Highly recommend to go with friends.

Our guide was very good and knowledgeable, told nice stories about the brewery and its beers. It was a bit disappointing to be served first a whole can of Brooklyn Lager - which is absolutely the least interesting beer that the brewery makes (something I would never buy myself). But when the tasting started we were served also two interesting small batch beers. 45 minutes seems a little short for everything we tried to do. But all in all, a nice experience! Something for people who are interested craft beer want to do when staying in Williamsburg.

If you like beer would thoroughly recommend the Brooklyn Brewery tour. Good fun and you learn how beer is made and the history of the brewery. The atmosphere is great in the bar afterwards. It was nice spending time there after the tour and listening to some fab music, with another beer of course!

Great free hourly tour! Wasn’t very long but you got to learn about their beer making process. The lady doing the tour was great.
The bar is huge with great choice of beers! Yum!

Great time, great summary and tour of the facility and the products and also a great time drinking with friends.

Great tour focusing on tasting rather than a too in depth "how to make beer" tour, best I have been on. Getting a can to take round with you, multiple tasters with how to taste notes etc. great guys there all with sense of humour and interaction. For the price too we were surprised at how much beer you get given and a free glass also! Best brewery tour I have done in the world. And the beer there is superb! Wish they shipped more to the UK!

Great place to visit and sample some tasty beers. The tour took us through the brewing facility and covered the history of the brewhouse. Many thanks to Quinn our guide.

I went to the Brooklyn Brewery, which Kirin also handles in Japan. It was quite a walk from the nearest station and bus stop. I had applied for a tour in advance, but I arrived too early. When I arrived and checked in, they gave me a can of beer. I felt like I wanted a draft beer.
After waiting for a while, it was time for the tour. It was a typical tour, so we saw the manufacturing process, and then we had a tasting. But there weren't many of them, so if you want to drink, you can drink slowly in the hall after it's over. The surroundings didn't seem very dangerous, so I walked back to the station.

Had a great time at the Brooklyn Brewery. Having attended a number of brewery tours before I knew roughly what to expect. William, our guide was very passionate and knowledgable about the brewery and the beer, and the bar area was a fun place to hang out and meet other staff members after the tour. Thanks again guys!

Trip was great fun. Tried some experimental beers and learnt about the process and history of them. Our host Dan was really knowledgeable and made the tour super fun.

My family and I went to Brooklyn Brewery for a 45 minute tour and had such a good time. The guide was likable and made it very interesting, the beers we tasted were very diverse, and we both learned about the making of beer, the brewery’s history, and how to really taste beer the right way. A must if you love beer and want to have a fun and exciting experience! Would go again, and will definitely recommend.

Very knowledgeable guide in Leo he is super passionate about the company and very informative. Beers were great and it's a very cool location. Highly recommend!

Dan was a fun and informative tour guide. We really enjoyed his story telling as we learned the interesting history of the brewery and it’s owners. After tasting several beers, we will no doubt be Brooklyn Brewery customers for life now.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable but kept everything feeling very digestible and easy to understand. Lots of interesting details and great to taste some of the more experimental beers.

Great tour and tasting of the beers on offer. Staff were knowledgeable and happy to help.
Great sample of beers across the range of Brooklyn Brewery products.
Loved the Brewery only Beer!
Will visit again, if not on the tour, simply to drink the beer!

I've been at several breweries. Some are as simple as a counter and someone pouring small samples. Others focus on their tours. And still others are really more like social gatherings. Brooklyn Brewery does tours but I wasn't able to schedule one. But it is definitely a social place. I went on a Saturday night at it was packed with a bunch of millennials. When you arrive at the door, you'll be given the chance to purchase tokens. These tokens are redeemed for sample pours. Most are one token. Others are 2 or 3. I recommend the five tokens for $20 instead of $5 per. The tokens go fast. The I recommend the East IPA and the Dark Chocolate Stout.

Yeah.
Finally at Brooklyn Brewery.
And it didn’t disappoint one bit.
The Small Batch Tour was interesting (even though we were only two people).
The beers are great, but that comes as no surprise.
Would recommend this place to anyone who likes beer.

Both fun and interesting. The tasting of beers was nice, and we all got to keep our glass. Highly recomended to beer-lovers but also fun for those who dont like beers as much.

You first have to show ID and sit for 10 minutes in order to queue again at the bar. They we're out of wooden boxes in which they serve samplers. Had to go with large glasses. Had a hazy IPA. Beer was OK. Service was fast and a bit rude. Didn't like the vide of the place although people seemed to enjoy playing board games. Maybe due to the high noise volume. The place just felt unpersonnal and touristic. I wouldn't suggest doing a detour to visit.

Nice tour in an relaxed atmosphere. With information at an easy level, understandable for everyone. Perfect with the opportunity to buy food from the food trucks outside and bring the food with you.

Excellent brewery tour with Salmo as our guide. Really knowledgable and friendly and made everyone laugh

Cool brewery near our hotel so we stopped by for a flight. Place was poppin’. The beers are good, and place gave positive vibes. It’s pretty big and if you don’t want to be in the main room where it’s pretty vibrant, you can sit at the front of the house upon entry; there are some single/double seats there. Although packed and busy, the workers move fast and there’s never a long wait or a long line to order your beer.
Would definitely visit again when in town.

The tour guide/bartender Dan was very knowledgeable about the process and made the tour enjoyable. And the beer samples were good too.

Went here on the recommendation of one of the front desk staff at the hotel I was staying in. Glad my co-worker and I took her suggestion.
Bartenders were great. The second night we went the bartender wanted to know where we were from since she hadn't seen un in there before. When we told her Virginia, she said first beers are on me. When our bill came, we noticed that more one bill had been comped and we were charged for one appetizer. Appetizers were great especially the nachos that were smothered in cheese.
Bartender definitely knew the beers on tap.
Will definitely be back the next time I'm back in Brooklyn.

I have now been employed by Brooklyn Brewery since May 2018. I am an event ambassador but I live in Jacksonville, FL. I was in NYC due to a trip of mine being cancelled. I decided that I needed to go to Brooklyn and check out headquarters. I have to say that this is the local hangout place. The environment is laid back and there is plenty of hobnob'in going on. They made me feel right at home. There is plenty of places to sit and hangout while having the BEST BEER EVER!! They really know their stuff and will send you on your way with beet knowledge and tasty brews. I highly recommend going on the tour & seeing how it is all done. They truly have an amazing place and everything is sooooooo clean.

The Brooklyn Brewery is a fantastic place to visit if you love beer! It was great to drink Brooklyn Brewerys different types of beer in the beer hall as well as going on a free tour! We love Brooklyn lager and it was a great experience to try other types too and with 5 tokens for $20 it’s not expensive either! Definitely worth a visit to see another more relaxed side to NYC! We’ll be back!

Myself and my girlfriend came along and had a great time. Brilliant value for money and the guy who conducted the tour - Leo - was excellent. Really nice varied selection of beers, and we stayed for a few more afterwards too. Can’t think of many better NY attractions for $18 a head!

Had some great Brooklyn brewery beer at an Artichoke Pizza spot, so keen to visit the brewery. New to New York as travellers from New Zealand. Quite the subway mission plus walking yet got there.
Met at the entrance by staff without any hellos or smiles just instructions to take a table, scan the code and order. He was not happy!
Followed his instructions and ordered our beer. Beer arrived from another staff member that made no attempts to engaged. Ordered another couple of beers and snack food with similar staff response. Felt like maybe we were not overly welcome.
The beer was great without a doubt, yet costumer service was very unwelcoming. Maybe it's just the Brooklyn way?
Bit disappointing. Would have been great to have had a conversation with the brewery staff about the beer they make.

The tour is very great and different kind of beers are delicious. The beer garden is awsome and very friendly. We enjoy our time at the brewery!

What a great place the Brooklyn Brewery was to visit . Lot´s of differend kind of Beers.
Strong and mild, sauer and sweet, APA, IPA, Lager, they do got it all. Great place to spend the whole afternoon. Brewery bar might be a bit crowdy , but how cares: More people, better party !

Very nice experience. Knowledgeable and inspiring staff showed the brewery, told us about the history of the brand and last, but not least, tasting of 4 beers. This tour is only available for pre-booked visitors. Check out the web site for available tours.

Having visited 2 other brewery’s prior to coming here, I was a little the worst for wear. This was still a very enjoyable experience though. Good lively atmosphere. Lots of beer choices. Overall good trip. I’d return here.

Kevin was a great tour guide and, of course, the beer samples were excellent! Highly recommended for beer connosouiers! 🍺

Worth the long lines for entry they run brewery tours every 1/2 hour and then you can move to the bar to try the Ales, they have some really good beers and there is always a food truck at the front door for food
when we were there they had a guy from a local donut operation selling the most amazing donuts, had to try a few. the crowd was young and mostly locals but lots of tourists from all over the world so made for some interesting conversations

Done the tour and it was very interesting and guide had great knowledge. Bar is great and the shop has some good things to buy. I would definitely recommend going.

We went to try the beers in the area, we especially liked two IPAs that we tried, the place was pretty cool with an alternative vibe and waiters who treated us very well.

Visited with my partner and son, beer on arrival so good start. The guide was very good considering he had only been in position for a short time he was very knowledgeable.
Lots of beer tasting as part of the tour and you were even able to pour yourself a beer from the tap which my partner and son thought was great.
If you are a fan of local and craft beers this is the place to come.

Great tour with beer tastes along the way. Joe was great guide and had lots of information to share.

The whole tour was brilliant and really fascinating with some amazing beers .
. Joe was a great tour guide . As a wheelchair user I felt really looked after . Next time I’m back in NYC I’ll be back to visit again !

Awesome tour with nice information fro tour guide. A lot of tastings before, during and after the tour! Worth the visit!

We went on the small batch tour which is advisable to book before hand as it usually sells out but you can book your trip 30 days before you leave , for the sake of £12 you get to taste 4 beers and get a history of the brewery off your guide for the day, you then have a v quick tour of the brewery 2 rooms and then you can return to the tasting room and drink via a token system. Top trip to do in New York

Nice venue, great beers and really good and knowledgable host at Brooklyn Brewery. Best selling Brooklyn Lager is still my favourite, even more hoppy and tasteful than the EC Dahl’s brewery’s version in My hometown Trondheim in Norway.

Recommended by a friend and was a great addition to NYC trip. A great place with, unsurprisingly, great beer. The tour was led by Dan who was fantastic and was relaxed and interesting.

Great online ordering and service. The free tour on a Sunday was awesome. Only 15 minutes but the girl was very knowledgeable.

Interesting story about the brewery, nice guide and great beer. The environment of the brewery is very cozy.

Beer is great, service felt like I was in line at the Post Office. Zero explanation of why tour cancelled. Zero good vibe. Oh well, at least across the street at the pop up they have same beer (and $1 cheaper) with amazing buzz.
This felt like a rip off. Way too commercial and no love to the customers.

The was the last night of a 4 day stay in NYC. Nice way to upwind. We took the subway and it was an easy walk from subway station. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. We tried the basic ale, a brown beer, the Triple burner and a pumpkin beer. All were good - the triple burner was our favorite. Pumpkin was good and more spicy than overly pumpkin which I appreciate. Staff were very friendly and helped us with restaurant recommendations and directions on using bus to get back instead of subway.

I was very excited to know the brewery because Brooklyn beers are my favorite in the world. I loved to know more about the factory and the history, also I loved to taste four types during the visit and bring back the awesome glass! Stay there and enjoy more beers in the bar was a great time for me and my friends. A dream became true! (yes, adults dream withis this!!!)

Great insight into a working brewery, the history of beer production and beer in the US. Would recommend for any beer lo any one that likes beer. You get a fair amount of drinks of very interesting beer and the chance to pour your own.

Fun place, good beer and in a great area. Plenty of stuff to do in the area so get your drink on here and then go walk the neighborhood, plenty of great food to find.

I absolutely love visiting Brooklyn Brewery. The tasting room is very spacious and is perfect place to visit for a casual afternoon of day drinking. Beers are a reasonable $6 per beer and they are fantastic. My recommendation is to try some of the beers written on the menu in chalk. That means they are a limited distribution and hard to find other places. The tour they offer is a quick fun learning about craft beer and the history of the brewery. Best part is you get to drink while on the tour, so buy some beers before to bring!

Great little tour with 4 good portions of beer to taste. Very friendly and helpful customer service beforehand when we needed to re-schedule. Great experience for those who like beer.

This was a fantastic little glimpse into one of the best beers to come out of the city since prohibition ended. Lovely tour guides with great stories about the owner and how the brewery was founded. All told whilst being able to taste a few different beers from their range. Then on a tour of the brewery itself to see how they make it and the people that make it! Finally back to the bar where you can buy tokens to taste more great beer, chat to the employees, visit the shop and have a great game of cornhole! This would suit any beer lovers!

We went on a Sunday for a fun thing to do. The tour was free. Our guide Shawn was fun and informative. We got to see the brew room and the bottling part where kegs and bottled beer is complete. The Tap room had plenty of beer on tap to taste. I recommend the brown ale. Yum!

Great brewery in really cool premises (used to be a jewish bakery). And off course with great beer! Don’t miss the guided tour!

Interesting & educational experience, worthwhile. Kids got to ask questions too. Nice size taste servings, varied brews.

I took the Small Batch tour with a group of friends and had a great time. The tour leader was informative and entertaining. The hospitality was great throughout the tour. The tour ends with a tasting in a private room. In all, a fun experience.

Went on the small batch tour which was lead by Dan - he was an excellent tour guide; knowledgeable, interesting to listen to, and allowed plenty of time for questions and most importantly, samples !!!

The tour was amazing, we tried very good beers and Joe and Leo were great hosts. The place just open at 4pm, don’t try to arrive earlier.

Good beers, good price (6 dollars each one). Perfect for a pit stop while walking around Williamsburg. Enjoy!

Nice, chill and personal service. Really nice and cozy interior design. A lot of great and worth priced beers.
Would go there any time instead of another bar

My wife and I had a great time. The tour was reasonably Priced and we got to try some great beers. The staff are all friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend. There’s a good little gift shop too.

Really informative tour in a very hit part of Brooklyn. Great bar next week. Fantastic beer, they really know what they’re doing. Thanks again.

We were impressed with the space and the beer. Liked the communal seating and there were a wide variety of patrons. While some of us liked the ease of ordering from our phone and being able to pay individually, the others felt the experience was a bit impersonal as they just bring you what you order directly to your table. There is no bar top experience which feels a little odd. If you want to get a recommendation you really have to go out of your way to ask whoever is pouring the drinks behind the bar.

The host was very knowledgeable and easy going. Great atmosphere. Wasn't expecting the tasting session. Great value for money.

Great guide, amazing beer and a really good tasting session. Approx 30 dollars with Uber from midtown. Good bar inside the brewery or a couple of local restaurants close by.

The knowledge and experience of our guide was brilliant, the information interesting, and of course, most importantly, the beer was perfect!

As Belgians we like to visit breweries. For the price of 18$ you get 4 beers. You start with one while you wait for your group. During the guided tour you can drink your second one. The tour isnt big but you get to see a lot. Afterwards there is a tasting, here you can try a Belgian inspired beer (yeey). And to end the visit you get to poor your own beer on draft, you can choose between a IPA and a dark beer.
Great tour and well worth the money. 👌

We had a lot of fun, we learned a lot about Brooklyn, beer and the brewery which was all really interesting, it was great value for money and the tour guide was wonderful. I'd highly recommend this tour!

We did the tour, was lucky enough to be there on a night when they were doing a release for their summer ale... and boy was it tasty. There was live music and a giant flamingo ball pit. Great service, great beer, great experience. If you like beer, do yourself a favor when in NYC, and hit up Brooklyn Brewery!

WE had such a good time on the tour. Our guide was funny and informative and the beer was amazing. We will be back! Thanks Patrick!

We had an excellent couple of hours here. The tour was short but the tasting session was entertaining and tasty. We had none beer drinkers in our party, but they still rated this as one of the best experiences of our trip to New York. Really good value too.

Brewery with attached tasting in Brooklyn, in the Bedford avenue area. Cute and very quiet place, good beer - they produce it - average price from New York a beer about $11, but you are really good.

I recommend going early so it is not crowded and you have a better experience and attention.
A very fun experience.
And spectacular attention.

Tooka free tour of the brewery on a Sunday. They serve no food but there is a food truck outside, where you buy your food and take it inside and drink it to a flight of different beers. 30 minutes tour was perfect and then you just needed another beer!

Decided to head over to Brooklyn to do the brewery tour and we weren't disappointed, Our tour guide James was very knowledgeable and funny. Getting to taste a few beers and a free glass at the end was a bonus, taproom has a really nice vibe to it.

Really good time there, the visit takes almost one hour, and the stories are fantastic! Besides the beer, of course!

Great to enjoy a behind the scenes tour with the enthusiastic guide and get both the facts, the history and the inside insights. Get to try out the test beers directly from the tap in the tap room and also their special brew not released to the public. Great location, great beer, nice brewery and great employees. Highly recommended!

I've been a Brooklyn Lager fan for many years, but this week had a chance to do a small batch tour for the first time and it was such a great experience! Their sour, stouts, and session IPA were true discoveries. Can't wait to go back again! I hope they consider opening a kitchen as well!

Famous brewery in Brooklyn, very nice. It is worth taking a tour of the factory. Very good beers, but there is no food option, just a few packages of salad.

It was a great visit with good beer and a good story how it all started. Not so much about how they make beer.

Perfect amount of people on the tour. Relaxed and nice atmosphere. Knowledgeable and fun guide. Last but not least, good beer.

Tour very interesting - but the beer was out of this world. Especially a barleywine aged in sherry casks.

We went out of our way to visit Brooklyn Brewery and not sure this was such a good idea - the time could have been better spent.
Initial entry - we were interested. The atmosphere and setting were good. We enjoyed a beer while we waited for our tour slot. This was when it became very boring and uninteresting. The tour guide said in 10 minutes what could have been said in 2. We actually cut out of the tour before it finished and left.
The place is much smaller than you would think. Not sure I'd recommend - sorry!

I liked very much the story abd the place of the brewery and the taste of differents beurs. I am dispointed by the price of the entrance for Kids. It should be free for them.

We didn’t realise you had to book a tour in advance, so on arrival, there were no time slots left. However, there is a huge bar and loads of seats to enjoy their full beer selection. The beers are reasonably priced and delicious and the atmosphere was great! The bar staff were slightly unfriendly but we put that down to the fact it was quite busy (still not an excuse though). All in all we had a great time! And if we’re ever back in the area we would definitely return to do the tour.

This is a brilliant tour. We had a great guide who was really engaging and you get to try loads of different beers. It was probably the best value for money excursion on our whole trip too. Highly recommended!

The tour shows you into the workings of the brewery and talks a little science and the process they go through to make the beer and bottle it up, very interesting. You’re then taken to a room that’s by their bar to try more beer and talk about the history of the company which we found very cool to hear about. Our tour guide Shaun was absolutely amazing. He had a really funny sense of humour and let it show throughout.
You can’t argue with the amount of beer we got to taste either and to go away with a glass was a lovely touch. Will be recommending this to friends when they come to visit for sure.

Fabulous and informative tour of the brewery. Tasted some great beers too.
Made to feel very welcome, and then continued to have a couple more beers in the tasting room. 👍👍

Perfect guide. One of the best stops in my visit in New York. Good beer nice staff. Not too pricey. Near Manhattan.

Great tour, great beer, great value! My boyfriend and I went on the Saturday small batch tour and loved it. There was a good amount of information and we liked getting to try beer that wasn't on the open market yet.

We had a great time visiting the Brooklyn Brewery while on holiday in New York. The guide was very nice and funny. We learnt a little bit about beer production and the history of Brooklyn Brewery was very interesting. The samples were delicious and the tap room is a great place to try some more of their beers! Worth a visit.

Booked on to a small batch tour Thanksgiving week whilst in NYC. It is my OH's favourite lager so he was really looking forward to this. The tour and guides did not disappoint. It is not too long and is not so in depth as to bore some with only a mild interest. The tour guides are both witty and approachable if you have any questions after the tour has finished.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting session and tour. The atmosphere in the bar area after the tour where you can stick around and exchange some beer tokens for drink, is great too.

the brewery tour was really great with the details of the process and a beer tasting! i enjoyed it and can only recomment to all!

Overall a very interesting tour and we were given about 4 generous tastings of different beers. Our tour guide Sam was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the brewery. If you don't go for the tour, the place is quite nice to visit and have a drink anyway, and the prices are reasonable. Would visit again!

We visited on a Saturday arriving about 11 45 so queueing outside until opening at 12 00 noon. This meant we were first in line to get tickets ( which are free ) for the 1 00 pm tour. The place gets really busy very quickly so many miss out on the tour and although brief at 15 minutes it is interesting.
If you don't make a tour the bar area is great to spend some time in even so and teer area number fo very special beers available only here.

Great experience in the tour. The staff is very friendly. You have the opportunity to taste different kind of beers. The environment at the bar is fantastic.

Stopped by to check the place out, have a beer, and grab a t-shirt. They control how many people enter based on how many people leave, to avoid overcrowding and killing the experience -- which is nice. Place was comfy and the beer selection good as expected. We didn't do the tour, but may in the future.

Excellent Beer, some types really original and surprising. Interesting too and knowledgeable and helpful personnel.

We have enjoyed beer from this brewery for years in Nevada, but sadly just a few styles. On this trip to NYC, we made the effort to visit the mothership. Not easy to maneuver via the subway - but we did it!
Hubby loved his flight, while I enjoyed a lovely rose’. Had fun buying merch to take home to Las Vegas.
Our server was Alma - and she was terrific.

Loved this. We popped in just at opening time hoping just to sample a beer or two in the taproom but had the chance to join the tour. I’ve done longer tours but we had a fantastic energetic guide who took our small group of 6 around the small brewery and some interesting test beer tastings. We ended with some rare tastings back in the bar - and after ended up in the pub quiz! Brooklyn offer so much more than their favourite lager - I’m a hazy fan and also admire their Special Effects zero. Even the stouts were a feast of flavours. Recommended.

Having been a fan of Brooklyn beer back home in Ireland, this was a must do for me on my trip. The tour was short, but informative and we got to try 4 beers and see the plant, as well as hang out in the bar afterwards. It wasn't very expensive and beer and souvenirs weren't rip off prices. Our guide Yanna was very knowledgable and clearly loves her job! I recommend this to any beer enthusiast!

This differs from the standard water+hops+barley brewery tour by talking about how Brooklyn came to be a place of brewing, and how this brewery came to be - fascinating stuff.
We booked on an evening tour, sampled four beers of differing types and were then able to stay on and order some more to try in full sizes. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts and lots of anecdotes made for a very interesting evening. It goes without saying that the beers are spectacular.

It's Brooklyn and Beer - you can't beat that combination. The tour was fun and informative. Mike very entertaining guy. All staff were very pleasant. The beer is awesome too. Enjoyed the Brown ale and Oktoberfest especially. Got some great stuff in the gift shop including a tank top for Nancy. Thanks to Chris who arranged for me to visit. He is a very generous guy - appreciate the red carpet treatment.

First of all, everyone was very friendly. James explained a lot of interesting things about the Brookling beer and the story (history) behind it. He did it also in a very enjoyable way. The beers we tried were really interesting. We also liked that the kids could join the tour, because otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to join.

So much fun and lots of alcohol included in the tickets price! Great host and bar at the end, which had food and some of the rarer beers/largers.

Fun spot to check out if you are in the area and the lines aren't too long. Tried to stop here in the summer a couple years back and the line was long and unmoving. Popped in jus about 12:45 on a Sunday and walked right in and got tix for the 1pm tour. Tour is relatively short, but it is neat to get a glimpse into the operation. If you can go during the week, they have more intimate/informative ~$25 tour that I would like to take compared to this free one. Was annoyed that, even on a slow Sunday, they don't offer flights....I mean, I'm a tourist, I'm not gonna be back anytime soon and I wanna try 4+ beers and not spend a fortune or get smashed doing it. Bought some beers to go. Tasting room is relaxed and you can order food from Mabel's BBQ down the street right on your phone and have it delivered. They have events in the tasting room, too...they were doing a sushi making class while we were there.

Another visitor from the UK earlier this week (September 2018). Went onto the brewery tour with a friend and had a great time! Shaun, the guide, was good fun and really helpful behind the bar as well. Atmosphere was good fun in the tap room also!

Great experience on this tour. Dan, our guide, was suitably engaging and passionate about the subject matter. Tour actually showed some things behind the scenes too, which you don't always get.
Best of all, the samples offered were fantastic and not just the core range of beers. 12% limited release stouts? Sure, why not?
Would do it again when I sober up.

Was a great experience. Anselmo the tour guide was very clear explaining and answering all questions.

We attended the free 30 min tour on a Sunday and stayed afterwards to try a few beers in the main bar area.
The tour was great. We were a few minutes late and were encouraged to grab a beer so we could drink whilst walking. The tour host was polite, enthusiastic and happy to answer any questions. He came with a wealth of knowledge.
The main bar area was busy but there was space to move and find a seat. A local jazz band were playing.
Would certainly recommend this to anyone visiting the area who has a few spare hours.

Everything was good tour was great you only get to try 3 different beers. Just overpriced beer to be a brewery $6 to $11 for 1 beer.

The tour by itself was not that amazing, but the experience of being inside one of the best breweries in America, combined with the carisma of the tour guide it makes an amazing experience!

Our experience was wonderful from the doorman, to the man who checked us in for the tour to our fabulous tour guide, Patrick! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. We learned so much about beer! From the making to how to taste AND all the beers were fabulous! The tasting room itself was so great that we stayed 3 more hours after our tour! We made new friends who were on our tour and had a blast. Also had some snacks, fantastic cheeses from Murray’s that were delicious and a great compliment to our beer tasting! We Had such a fun night and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Tourguide Matt was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Location has great athmosphere. Beers were delicious. 10/10 will recomment.

What a nice way to pass a few hours, drinking Brooklyn beers and playing board games! Love the set up with picnic tables, serve yourself beers and board games.

We found Brooklyn Brewery while walking around in Brooklyn, and decided to take a look. Turned out they offered free tours and a wide variety of craft beer for a reasonable price. They even had a Gamecube stand! Only downside were a lack of seating places. A must-visit for beer enthusiasts. Great atmosphere!

Tour was good beer was ok. They appear to be trying to get away from the the staple: lager. But they are late to the party.

Thanks Brooklyn brewery for great beer and interesting info about making beer. We had a really nice time!

Nice enviroment, awsome beer, there is a mario kart arcade on it, nice people around and pretty near Williamsburg Smorgasburg.

Well thought out tour with generous and unusual tastings. Stayed for a few beers afterwards in the bar area - there was a fun atmosphere.

Fantastic opportunity to understand the brewing processes and also test some new beers at the same time

Really interesting trip and you get to drink plenty of different beers.
Had a really good guide called Stevie J who was very informative approachable and very knowledgable

Attended the 45minute small batch tour whilst on a visit to New York. The brewery was easy to find and had a great atmosphere. The booking and arrival procedure were both excellent. The guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable giving a clear understanding of the processes. We tried 5 different beers which was a great selection across the range. At the end of the tour we sat in a small tasting room. The whole tour and tasting lasted an hour in the end but could have been longer with all the information we got. My only downside and this is a personal one is that we tasted a very dark beer called ‘Special Ops’ which the brewery is very proud of and rightly so as the 3rd tasting. This in my view affected the tasting of two further beers an ale and IPA afterwards which were much lighter.
After the tour we retired to the main bar this was a huge area but could find a small seating area. I would recommend a visit and definitely try the various American beers some unusual to a British taste

Unfortunately we arrived late for our guided tour. We were prepared not to be able to participate at all but in the entrances we were met by very nice staff who helped us on the next guided tour. The experience was mucket good and the beer tasted great. we would certainly recommend a visit to the Brooklyn Brewery.

well worth a visit.. rich is history , the whole tour was presented by a couple of knowledgeable, hugely entertaining and enthusiastic employees clearly proud of the quality of the products and the heritage of the company.

I’ve had some great nights at Brooklyn brewery when the bar is open to the general public. Beers are $6 and there is usually a great selection on offer to choose from, with a few limited editions. Plenty of seating, nice atmosphere. Some evenings you’ll stumble upon a karaoke or pub quiz. Nice area of Williamsburg to spend your evening in.

Great experience, good beers, nice venue and a great host in Joe.
Can only recommend getting a tour of this place.

Interesting and not too long guided tour. Comeback early and finish the lager before the tour. Beautiful Håkon Gullvåg painting in the tasting room.

The tour was interesting and you get a few drinks for free (included in the tour price). The staff is very nice and attentive, and you learn so much about the origins of the company. Highly recommended.

it wasn't getting here from Manhattan with route disruptions and Sunday football games overloading subways but it was certainly worth the trek.
From the moment we walked in the doors, employees interacted with you and made it feel like a home town bar even though neither of us had ever been there before.
I had the IPA Defendant and the Lager. I enjoyed both. The staff spoke with us about where we were from and took time to explain the different beers they had.
The brewery had lots of comfy sitting and had a decent size crowd for a Sunday evening.
Last stop was to buy some tshirts. Good selection and actually had all of the sizes available to choose from.
I would definitely recommend this stop and will be repping Brooklyn Brewery on the West Coast

Really great quick overview of the history and production and they are very generous with the beer samples! Well worth a look in a fabulous area if Brooklyn!

The brewery tour and the story behind how the brewery was created and developed was really interesting and funny, worth a visit.

We visited the brewery today. We found the staff unfriendly and unhelpful and more interested in talking to each other than with customers. While I was waiting, one of the staff members behind the bar let off a loud belch which I found both disgusting and disrespectful.
My beer was nice although my wife ordered a drink which came in a can which she didn’t enjoy but that’s a matter of personal taste whereas the staff behaviour isn’t. Before we visited The Brooklyn Brewery we went to The Talea Beer Co. which was a totally different experience with friendly and attentive staff and great beer. If you are choosing a visit to a brewery then I highly recommend Talea as a better choice.

Highly recommend a tour of this brewery. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. You get to try a variety of beers and learn how to properly pour a beer.

stopped here for an afternoon beer
this is a place that I have wanted to visit, I have had the beer at plenty of places and staying in Williamsburg made sense to stop and grab a beer
I had the Munich lager and my pal had the Brooklyn lager
lots of options and even had the game on the big screen

Nice, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who gave us an insight into the brewery and its history. In addition, we got to try a lot of different types of beer.

This was one of my highlights of my trip to new york, i would recommend this to all beer lovers, tour was certainly entertaining!

Brilliant brewery tour led by Tracy who was incredibly knowledgable and passionate. Great to hear about the history behind one of the world's iconic craft breweries and to get the opportunity to taste some interesting, different beers too. Well worth a visit if you love great beer.....or if you want to see how diverse beer really can be.

Had the Small Batch Tour, not free but definitely worth the price for the individual attention, and the 3 different beers that we were given. Our tour guide Ellie was exceptional, very knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. Brooklyn Brewery is lucky to have her!

Upon entering, we where greeted by Christine, an awesome employee. She answered all of our questions and more. She was happy and appeared to love working at the brewery. She made us feel as if we where apart of the Brooklyn Brewery family... can’t wait to go back!!!!

10/10.
Why? Some simple things really...
* The tour was excellent (Sam was a great, passionate guide)
* Its not a long rambling tour, its all about the beer and you getting involved in it
* You get at least 4 beers to try, and pour one yourself at the end!
* The beer is superb, I couldnt find any I disliked (we stayed on after the tour and had more)
* The general vibe of the place is really cool and laid back
* Very wide selection of beers in many different styles
* ALL the Brewery staff are friendly, fun and welcoming
Personal highlights for me as a dark beer fan were the Capataz and the Black Ops. Expensive, but EXCELLENT (and dangerously strong)
I would strongly advise taking some form of ID with you, sometimes they ask for it (and some times they dont...) so just make sure you have photo ID on you to avoid disappointment.
More than happy to recommend this to anyone (of drinking age!) - im now a fully indoctrinated Brooklyn Brewery Brand Ambassador :-)

Cool site with cool staff who really seemed to enjoy their work. We surely enjoyed the guided tour and visit!

Great tour, accesible location. Would have been nice to get hands on experience of process and vouchers for bar.

The story of how the brewery was founded is very interesting, and was told in an entertaining way by a enthusiastic gentleman. We got to try some great beer, and were taught how to best appreciate them. Plus we got a pair of lovely pint glasses to take home with us!

The tour is short, but informative. The guide that we had was very funny and happy to answer any questions we might have. It was nice to see that he was still very passionate to be working there, despite being there for years on end.
The bar/beer hall is a beaut. They have a great range of beers that I wouldn't have known they even made. Very delicious and a fair price (5 beer tokens for $20)
The location is a bit out of the way if you're not already staying in Brooklyn, but Williamsberg is a nice neighbourhood to stumble around, so its 100% worth the trip

Fantastic indoor atmosphere which makes you feel as if you are actually in a German drinking hall. Beer tenders extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Beer is delicious and they offer great variety on tap as well as great food pairings. Nothing unreasonably priced. Free street parking had me overjoyed. Only thing I would change is not allowing men into the same bathroom as women. As a woman I was in fear and panic that I was going to be upskirted or downskirted by a cell phone once inside the stall.

I went to Brooklyn Brewery with mu husbund because we are beer lovers. Is good to know that to do the small bach tour you must book previouslly.
During the tour, they give you many types of beer, and you can take a beaultiful glass as souvenir.
After the tour you can just stay in the bar with good music and good beer!
Loved the place!

Always have a great time at Brooklyn Brewery, date night with my hubby. I want to give a shout out to Christine O’Connor, she’s a wonderful woman and hard working professional who knows her stuff about the brewery, it’s beer and provides excellent service to their patrons. Will definitely be back!

We got the subway and walked a short distance. Excellent different excursion in NYC. Informative and interesting. Sampling was good also!!

Great tour and lots of fun. Gift shop is expensive but cool. Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

I would definitely recommend this tour if you like your beer! Reasonable price, fun tour, friendly staff and interactive.

I was visiting NYC and decided to do a trip out to Brooklyn to visit the brewery, as I am a fan of the beer and thought it would be a fun activity. I checked opening hours on the website, and it was apparent that the brewery offered a free tour on Sundays 1-6pm, so we decided to go and visit on this day. We got there, and the door was opening and there was a large number of people in the Brew House enjoying a pint. However, the man on the door was extremely rude and told us it was closed. When we asked why, he asserted that a private event was taking place and we were not allowed to enter... Ironically, there was a sign on the wall next to him saying that the brewery was open until 6pm, and it was now around 3:30pm.
I was annoyed, and disappointed that this man did not even apologise. I'm sure we just had an unlucky experience, and if you do actually manage to get inside the beer is pretty good. Customer service, not great... if I would you, I would double check before you go that you can actually get in. In fact, this extends to most places in Williamsburg. The vibe is cool and edgy on paper, but in reality it's pretentious and full of rude people, and there were lots of "private events" on at about 3 roof top bars we tried too. My advice would be to stick to Dumbo.

Really nice place to enjoy with some friends (and alone wich was my case). Good beer, nice people and big lines

Of course it is a bit touristy, but nonetheless a great place to hang out for a casual beer with friends. You seat inside the brewery, on simple wooden tables and benches, great atmosphere. Amazing beer selection, and really extremely friendly and helpful staff.

The tour here was great fun and worth every penny. The guide was great fun and full of knowledge. A definite must do when travelling to the big apple!! It does help that they also have amazing drinks to try 😉 😋.

This was a great tour. We visited with our two kids (15 & 10) as well as another couple. The beer was tasty and the tour was informative. Joe our guide was great.

We went on Saturday afternoon at about 4pm. We queued for at least half an hour to get inside. Once we were in we thought we'd made it but we then had to queue another 20 mins to buy beer tokens! Why?! NOTE: Bring cash as people sell tokens walking up and down the queue, we only had card so had to wait in line. Upon finally getting some been tokens we then had to queue another 20 mins to get served (can be much longer as the queue had doubled by the time we were served). It's a nice enough brewery but it's basically a small beer room on the side. The tour lasted half an hour but didn't go into much detail. You see 2 rooms but don't really get shown anything. Could have been better with a bit more in depth history about the brewery, it has been running for 30 years and been through some tough times but this was only touched upon briefly. Really I would just go to any of the many other beer rooms in the area and not waste over an hour queuing for beer that can be bought in most other bars.

I recommend the guided tour!
The guide was very funny, friendly and wise, making the visit cool and pleaseble

The place is incredible by itself but after the tour inside the brewery and understanding more about the history of the place and the features of some special beers everything turns into an amazing experience!

The Small Batch Tour was the best brewery tour I’ve ever been on! I didn’t realize that Brooklyn Brewery did so much R&D here. It was so cool to hear about their new projects and taste some of the beers being developed (delicious!).

A bar for all! Go here with your friends, family, mother in law and your neigbour! Nice and cosy atmosphere. Fun to see the brewery. When we got here there had been an event with homeless dogs (!) Love it! Go here, just do it!

Don’t go here if you mind sharing a bathroom with all genders. Zero privacy for woman and children. Will not go here again. Plus it’s highly overpriced.

Very good tour with knowledgeable guide. Sampled the beer or course and got the Tee shirt. I would highly recommend this tour

Can absolutely recommend taking the tour, was both entertaining and interesting! All the people working there are really welcoming and cool. Highlight for me was getting to try some great beers you can't get anywhere else, both during the tour and after, in the bar🍻

Really enjoyed this tour all the staff at the brewery were very polite and friendly John the tour guide was great we had a very informative and interesting tour
Sample drinks were delicious
Delighted with our souvenir glasses as a momento of the tour

Thanks to our tour guide Jessie for providing a great tour of the Brooklyn Brewery. Wasn’t sure to expect but it was a great tour and learnt a few new things.
Nice beer tasting session too. 👌🏼

If, after a long walk, you want to drink a beer and rest a bit, this is the right place.
Very simple place with large wooden tables and a very wide choice of beers obviously produced in-house.
You can order via the app and pay by card or directly at the counter by paying in cash.
There is little to eat so it is not the right place for lunch or dinner.

Fun and easygoing tour. Perfect to connect with other travelers. The selection of beers for the tasting were amazing! 100% recommended

Nice tour and atmosphere at the brewery, great beer and guide (James). Good value for money! Will definitely recommend it!

I was visiting the area from out of state, always wanted to come here but I will never come back here ! I drove 2 hours to get to see this place , I’m also a well paying customer everywhere I go so I don’t appreciate when employees are rude at me for no reason . this past weekend had the worst experience ever! I arrived there at 735pm, google shows it closes at 8pm . The guy at the front was very rude and lied saying they close at 6pm meanwhile I saw people walking in when I was looking for parking . This was totally unacceptable and very unprofessional, I felt very uncomfortable and offended. I’ll make sure to tell all my friends not to come here !

As part of a business occasion, a bunch of us came for the evening. We had the opportunity to tour the brewery and sample four different beers.

Our VIP tour of the Brooklyn Brewery was really amazing. We loved the place and the tour was quite comfortable and we really enjoyed tasting the awesome fresh brew. We even got free caps as part of the tour, which was really cool. The brewery is well maintained and the area around is seems very arty. You must check it out.

If you're in Brooklyn and you are a craft beer geek this is a must go to stop! It opened at 5 on a Thursday night and we got in there at 5:20 and there was already about a hundred and fifty people inside. I have no idea where they came from but the place was packed. You have to stand in line to order beer from one iPad register. So either buy two beers for yourself or buy one beer and get right back in line and by the time you're done drinking it you can order your second one. They have lots of beers that are not sold via distribution to other areas of the country so it's nice to sample those. All pints for $6 unless otherwise noted. Friendly staff. They had a few snacks available for purchase. Some nights there are food truck options. There is a gift shop where you can buy all sorts of things Brooklyn brewery related.

I went on the tour with my husband as part of a visit to NYC. This is something interesting to do and great fun. Great for beer lovers and wives of beer lovers.

I participated at the small batch tour, during the week, so I did not have to queue or wait long, I only got there a few minutes before the scheduled time. You only have to pre-book through the site, it´s easy and worth!

We stumbled past the brewery by mistake and ended up signing up to one of their tours after 5pm by chance. We lucked out big time and had a tour by Mike who was extremely knowledgable and incredibly passionate about all things beer, especially the Brooklyn brewery. I was impressed with the value for money, as we paid around $20 each but got a free beer glass and around 4 different beers to taste, many of which were either full size or half pint measures which I thought was really great. You can stick around in the beer after and there's a gift shop too for any beer lovers who would like a memento. a real highlight of our trip!

Went on the recommendation of friends who had been on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour. Went as a couple and my wife is a confirmed wine drinker and she really enjoyed.

This is a cool brew pub in an old warehouse in Brooklyn. Great micro beer selection. Free tours are available.

We went on a Sunday for the free brewery tour and to make sure we got a freebie we arrived at noon just as the brewery was opening- 1st in line! The brewery tour takes approximately 30 minutes and if you are hoping to learn how to make beer you will be disappointed. What you get instead is an entertaining explanation as to how the Brooklyn Brewery was formed. Chance to buy the various BB beers- all in all a good
few hours out.

My partner & I did the tasting tour which was fantastic. It included a tour of the distillery (which wasn't much) and four included beers each. This also included pouring your own beer at the end of the tour. Had a great time. Great atmosphere to just even visit and have a beer.

Have now visited twice whilst in New York . The brewery is brilliant , the beer is brilliant , the staff are brilliant , what more can I say?

Awsome! Great guide and great beers. This tour is a real catch, and a good ground to start from in exloring the neighbourhood and its many local brewerys and bars.

Recommend this to everyone. We went on the small batch tour and had a great time. And the bar is lovely with alot of fun beer, and great music!

When you are done circulating on NY’s beaten path of Times Square and the Status of Liberty, it is time to actually learn about the real cool thing the city offers you. Brooklyn is my favorite borough with its art scene and cool restaurants. And among the top things to do there, the tour of the Brooklyn Brewery stands out. The place is cool and you will learn about their history, manufacturing process and will get to sample some of their most exclusive beers. After the tour you can just hang out at their bar to try a few more beers. Kids are welcome to the tour and get craft sodas to enjoy.
Really a must do in Brooklyn!

Fun to know how to brew beer. The length of the tour was just right. Got 4 beers and a gift glass for each person. Reasonably priced considering the quality of the beer. Def coming back when they move to the new place next year.

The price is affordable (I bought it over the internet and it was very easy).
The tour is super cool and very explanatory and it includes 4 wonderful beer tastings and at the end you still get a beautiful glass as a gift.

Having come across Brooklyn Beers in the UK and visited Heineken FIL and i thought we would see what Brooklyn Brewery had to offer. Using the subway we made our way off Manhattan and arrived just as the line was forming, dont forget ID as you may not get in. The bar opens at 1200 and the first tour is at 1300 so there was plenty of time to sample a few of the beers that they make. I tried Bel Air Soul which was a citrusy lager but very tasty, a drink i would call dangerous as it like sipping fruit juice but more potent. The tour was amusing and informative and several beers were purchased for transportation back to the UK but not all made it back. If you didnt want to take the tour you could just sit back and have a fun afternoon drinking beer with your mates

Fantastic knowledgeable and passionate people. The tour was more focused on the enjoyment and drinking of beer. The beer was amazing and we got to keep a lovely souvenir glass. I think I’ve now been converted to a saison drinker as these were the best saisons I’ve ever tasted! If you like/love beer you need to go on this tour!

I like the place. The concept is cool...cause there are several restaurants that deliver to the brewery. However, I don’t like the beer and I don’t like the fact that you have to buy wooden coins to purchase beer. I always go home with a few that I never remember to bring back.

The whole tour and experience was excellent. Good seeing the beer being bottled and lots of samples during the very informative tour. The Tap Room was great too and proved very popular and would have loved to have stopped there all night!
The only downside was the gift shop which wasn’t very big at all. Compared to the Samuel Adams one at their Brewery in Boston it was very poor so perhaps something they could improve for the future.

Came for the small batch tour, 30 people on the tour and we got to learn everything about Brooklyn ale from the lovely bartender( name slips my mind) got to taste 4 different beer (8 actually as my girlfriend doesn’t like beer ) winning. And he explained all the beers and how to taste and smell the beer. 😀. It lasts an hour, and then you have 3 hours to drink beer. You have to buy beer tokens. $5 dollars each or 5 for $20 each beer cost 1 to 4 tokens depending. Opening hours are 6-9. 5-6 for the tour.
A lot of fun if you like beer.

The visit in the Brooklyn Brewery was amazing. When we arrived they offered us immediatly the first beer. Then, with other boys and girls, the visit started. They told us about the story of the Brooklyn Brewery, the methods of production of their beers, how they bottle their products and in which countries they sell them. After that we tasted other three beers and they give us the istructions about how we could do that, in the way that we could appreciate all the characteristics of the product. It was been a fantastic tour and experience for me and my friends. I recomend absolutly to join this visit.
Thank you Brooklyn Brewery!!!

The staff at the Brooklyn Brewery were incredibly helpful and allowed me to sit down rather than stand in the queue due to the fact I am on crutches. The tour itself was very informative however it was a little difficult to hear what was being said if not stood right at the front.
It was fairly short so I would have been slightly disappointed had we paid for it but overall it was an enjoyable time.

Free brewery tour with some interesting parts.
Did tend to go on a while and got a bit boring after a while. But in general I liked the visit and the staff were friendly.
Beer was average.
Come to Britain and we shall show you what proper beer is!

The tour was interesting, inexpensive and not too long and highly entertaining. 3 tastings and then 2 options on tap. Didn't leave sober, that's for sure. 😁

I've been there now 4 times - 3 times on tours. Every time it gets better and better. As a native Brooklynite, I'm so happy to see my hometown brewery improving year after year. The new bottling line looks amazing!

Beers are great and if you have the chance for a tour, it is a must! History behind it, beer process and everything is so interesting. Even for soft beer drinkers like me. Thank you!

Had a great time visiting the brewery. The tour is great and very informative. It was great to learn about the history of the Brooklyn Brewery as well. Great atmosphere in the bar afterwards. It would be a great place to work as you can see how much the staff enjoy working there. Will visit again next time we are in Brooklyn.
Tip: head over to ‘Best Pizza’ afterwards!

The tour was interesting and informative around Brooklyn area. Furthermore all the staff I encountered were amazingly friendly and helpful.

We went here for a tour, I was expecting a fairly long tour, the brewery is actually quite small, the tour lasted 15 mins. You are here more for the beers. The tour is very good and basic. Nor booking is needed for the tour.

This is by far one of the best brewary tours ever!! Very fun and friendly staff and great beer always make for a fun time but this tour also has up to FIVE tasting on the tour and a free glass at the end of the tour. Stay after the tour and have some flights on options not tasted during the tour and order the BBQ from their neighbor, some of the best chicken wings I've ever tasted.

The tour of Brooklyn Brewery was a real plus. Tasty beer samples and good explanations of brewery history and the brewing process were provided. Highly recommend. A very enjoyable hour or so.

I like the beer, the venue itself is like an average small brewery inside but it does have Mariokart 64 so an added bonus. I'd probably give it 4 stars were it not for the tokens you have to queue to buy...to then stand in another queue and exchange for a beer. I can only assume the purpose is either (1) to get people to buy stuff from the gift shop after they've had a few beers and/or (2) they don't have a licence to sell beer so sell tokens in exchange for free beer.

Our tour guide was very friendly, explained all the process to produce a beer and you taste four different types of beer

Great tour.
Thanks to the kind lady who took us round and showed the process of how they make this beer.
Great beer hall and better selection of beers too! Some unusual brews to sample.
Great vibe.
Thanks guys

Absoultely fantastic tour from start to finish. Our tour guide was great and the beers post tour topped off a incredible experience.

Booked the small batch tour at Brooklyn Brewery and had such a great time. Not only did we get to learn about how the various different Brooklyn Beers were made, and the history behind them but our tour guide Sam was also exceptional, made everything easy to understand and fun. Will definitely be recommending to others!

Just the right amount of information and the right amount of beer. We‘ve had a great evening! Easy to reach location from Manhattan with the L train. Afterwards we went to Katz‘s Deli in Manhattan.

Things you will never fine in the stores. Just a chill relaxed vibe no rush no fuss. And great swag. Proudly wear the logo everywhere.
One thing might make it better and that would be flights. But not complaining I mean I gave it a 5 rating.

Jessie was our tour guide and she was fabulous. She was knowledgable and really engaging and made the tour fun. She was full of facts and a really nice person. The tour itself was interesting and fun and it was great to try some beers too.

The tour was short but really interesting and informative. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. We got to try several beers all of which were really tasty. Was a great value tour. Nice bar area to try some other beers after the tour, many of which never get bottled and sold generally. We treated ourselves to a few bottles to take home too.

Best craft beer in America. The tour is an excellent way to learn about the brewing process. The variety of beers in the bar is awesome. Try them all!!!

Went here with my husband on a Sunday afternoon, we did the tour and sampled many of the beers available - we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes beer.
Our tour host was great and very knowledgeable which some brilliant tips of beers to try afterwards - the stronger beers are brilliant if a little dangerous, we certainly left rather tipsy!

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Really fun and energetic atmosphere. The free tour of the brewery is not very exciting, but the lady who toured us was fun. The beer we tried was very good; certainly ask for a taster if you're unsure of any beer.

We went for Brooklyn Brewery for a guided tour and had a amazing tour with a cool and funny guy. First we had a beer in the bar then we joined the guided tour. For me who doesnt drink beer it was awesome anyway

It is a matter of taste which you choose. We took a tasting, so four beers in small glasses. So your own choice. We sat at long tables. We didn't like the music and it was loud like so many places in New York. Everyone started talking louder or should we call it shouting.

Great time, awesome facilities, pro and funny guide, good tastings and the best smell you ever feel .

The best brewery tour we've ever been on. The staff made the tour really fun and interesting. Getting to try the experimental beers was really cool as well as getting an unexpected free glass at the end! The merch on offer was great as well as the selection of beers available to try in the tap room. We also stayed after for drag bingo which was incredible!

Nice tour. I wish we could look a little bit more into the production area itself. But our guide was very good, very talkative and informative which made the whole experience very cool. You also get a few beers to try and a BB glass a souvenir. For the price of 18 USD I can definitely recommend it!

They don’t take reservations or allow people to hold tables, so if you’re coming with a large group make sure you get there together.
We were celebrating a birthday so we brought our own birthday cake and the staff was able to politely provide some Extra plates and utensils. They have merchandise for sale and there are ample food trucks outside. They allow you to bring the food from outside into the brewery for consumption. There is an ATM available as well. They have a few old school video games in the brewery to utilize. There are many bars nearby so this is a good place to day drink or begin a night. Didn’t see any TVs so possibly not a place to watch sports

Love the beer already, had a fab time at the brewery. Didn’t do the tour but had a few tasters in the tap room and got some fab merch! Would recommend for all craft beer fans!

Tasting room has beer you can’t find anywhere else (small test batches etc). The tour is a great way to meet people and try a variety of beer. You get a free glass too!

Really enjoyed the tour of Brooklyn Brewery. Quin, our guide, was highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Thought the experience great value for money. With so much to do in Manhattan and Brooklyn I wondered if it would be a good use of my time and I can honestly say it was. The area the brewery is in is worth exploring too.

We were treated to a lovely tour with John. It was very informative and we were so glad that having only landed in JFK at 2pm that we managed to get to the Brooklyn Brewery for the 6pm
Your

An atmospheric place and very nostalgic since the brewery sells beer all over the world. A great selection of beers. Friendly staff.

Really helpful & friendly staff & most importantly great beer!
Staff helped to rebook us as flight delay meant we would miss our original tour.
Has a chilled friendly vibe like it’s your local

Warm ambient, nice people, very interesting explanations, great flavours of the beers that were served for tasting...

This was not only a place for good beer, but a place where you can take a tour, see how they make their beer and find out some awesome history! There were many samplings- and large ones at that. The process of producing the beer is very interesting, and the beer is really good.

I've seen and drunk BB beers from my local, Charlotte, beverage store and always liked their beers. I was excited when I was in Brooklyn and was actually able to go by BB and tour/ taste their beers. Housed in, what looks like, an old warehouse, BB offers tours and a sitting area where you can drink and socialize for hours. They have a few vendors that offer food as well as some snacks they sell.
It's always good to go to the actual brewery to try their 'hidden gems' that are only available in the tap room.
Overall a great experience, the tour was really fun but once you've been on one brewery tour you've seen pretty much all of it.

If you like beer. I’m mean if you really like beer, not the big chemical formulated national mega brands, but beer with authentic flavors. This is the place for you! It opens at 5 pm and the line started forming at around 4:30. If you want to go for the brewery tour, best make and advance reservation. I like beer!

Great way to see craft beer in production and new product development and to go home with brewery glasses.

Didn't do the tour just went in to sample the drinks. Had to wait around 10mins to get in as very popular. Nice little souvenir shop as you go in, with a good selection. Great atmosphere around the bar and well organized by the staff for waiting to be served which prevents people cutting in line. Nice tasting beers and not badly priced at $6 per beer 330ml but that's New York.

Having been a fan of the Brooklyn lager for years it was great to visit the brewery and learn more about the company. Really insightful, friendly and passionate hosts. Great tasting session and tour of the facility before ending with a few drinks and some cornhole! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something a bit different or out of the hustle of the city! We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and then got a cab..perfect!

Beautiful location (moving in 2025), entertaining talk. You are greeted with a beer and given glasses as a gift. Highly recommended.

Brooklyn Brewery is a small brewery compared to how popular it is. They have a large tasting room with a great variety of beers to try. We are use to the lager only, so we had no idea they had so many different types. My husband was very impressed with the few he did try. They do not have food other than chips so eat before. The brewery offers free tours that last maybe 20 minutes. Not a bad thing to do while drinking a pint. If your a fan of craft beer, stop by Brooklyn Brewery for a few.

I booked a guided tour through the brewery website for my husband, an avid beer drinker. We’ve visited several breweries around the world and can say this was one of the best! Whether it’s because it’s smaller and more personal I’m not sure, but it was informative and, for the price you pay, great value for money!
We had a tour of the actual brewery then a sit down session whilst being given the option to try a variety of beers. The group size was perfect and Brandon our guide was helpful.
Definitely visit!

Everything in place. Great craft beer! Very nice lighting. Simple online-ordering and fast service. Loved it! If you are in Brooklyn, worth giving it a try!

We booked the tour as we were heading over to Brooklyn anyway, and as we had the NYC pass it got us a free beer at the Brewery. The tour was great, our guide Tracie was brilliant! The sour beer was ... Interesting! And I still can't decide if I like it or not! I even got to pull my first pint! Highly recommended, as great value for money.

We didn't go for the tour, just tried a couple of beers. The beers were quite good, and the way it works is quite hassle-free (you buy tokens at the entry so that when you get to the bar, you don't need to fumble for dollar bills), but at the end of the day it's just a huge, noisy barn, and if the day is nice, it's just not that much fun to hang around inside.

Excellent beers on tap and a fun place to hangout with friends/family. We picked up BBQ at Mable's Smokehouse and brought along a game to play. We had a great time and we also loved the music they played.

The small batch tour of our favourite brewery didn't dissappoint. Very friendly tourguides, a tour with a very laid back feel, great beers to taste, would definitely recommend.

A group of friends and I visited this brewery for a few drinks during our trip to New York. We didn't do the tour so I cannot rate it however, we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the bar. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. There was a wide range of beers available and we enjoyed the ones we tried. You are allowed to sample any of the beers before you decide which to have. There was a good crowd in on the night, there was a good atmosphere and the music was rootsy and good. We were allowed to order in food which was a great facility. We all had a favourite beer and we are determined to find them in the shops as we enjoyed them very much. All in all recommended for an evening out in Brooklyn
Amazing!
Cool neighborhood and really good tour! Sam was an amazing guide with so much energy and knowledge! And the beer was good too!
