We arrived soon after they opened. We started at the gift shop to get information. The service representative there gave us a very passionate explanation of what they do there and why the animals and birds call this home. She was extremely knowledgeable. There was a large group of 2nd grade students assembling for a guided tour. We followed one of the groups and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the guide's explanation of the exhibits . These people love what they do and it shows. We also walked the nature travels and enjoyed the entire experience. A great place to spend the morning. Please make a donation while you are there. It will be well spent!

Love this place, I have been many times. Because it is outdoors I would recommend bringing water, a hat, and applying sunscreen before your adventure! Busch wildlife runs completely on donations, and is free to enter. Enclosures for the rescue animal residents are always improving, and they will gladly take in any injured or sick animals you find in the area. Would recommend for kids and adults alike, a wonderful experience for the whole family!

Great place to see animals you don't get to see just anywhere! Staff is very.nice and knowledgeable. Free admission all they would appreciate is a donation to help care for the animals. Super clean!

This attraction had a little bit of everything- wildlife, static exhibits and live seminars. Although the place is not very large, it still took well over an hour to see everything.
There is no admission charge but I was pleased to make a donation. The gift shop is staffed by volunteers who were knowledgeable and nice.

While visiting Jupiter for a couple of weeks we had one day that started out drizzly and cooler. A local resident @ Starbucks suggested we visit the sanctuary. We drove right there! Very sweet ladies in the welcome area/ gift shop shared the history and philosophy of the BWS and encouraged us to explore! It's free to enter but there are a few places where you can leave a donation. When you see the extensive property and the multitudes of species in residence you will want to contribute! We saw a large school group of children who were enjoying a guided tour! It was a great way to enjoy the afternoon. Plenty to see but not so overwhelming that you need to put away an entire day. You can have a great time in an hour or two as well!

Reminds of when I was a kid when I went to the Detroit zoo although this 8s much smaller was a beautiful place to visit met nice people and the staff were awsome will visit again

We visit Zoos everywhere we go but this was the best little park we have found in Florida! It's free but we made donations throughout the park. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the animals seemed right at home in their natural habitat. Loved this place and would visit again!

We didn't see all of the grounds as we were caught in a rain storm. The outdoor trail was nice and we saw some interesting birds turtle and what was possibly an alligator in one of the ponds. The bears and cats were interesting, but they looked unhappy and bored. I would have liked to see the rest of the place and will probably return when I am in this part of Florida again.

We love Busch Wildlife! Not only have we visited dozens of times, but both my children have had birthday parties there. Make sure to catch their wildlife presentation, you will not be disappointed and the entrance is free!

If you love animals, and love supporting places with rescue animals this is the place to go. Quaint and small, but a nice place to stroll to absorb animals.

If you're in the Jupiter area, plan to visit the Wildlife Sanctuary. They have a lot of different animals. We've never seen so many ACTIVE turtles before -- check out the pond. We liked how they had an alligator and a crocodile displayed side by side so you could see the differences. Of course, our favorite were the panthers.

Thru winding sidewalks and visually seeing many different animals and birds.A
Fabulous flight cage for many eagles recovering from injury., beautiful Florida
Panthers, numerous bird species, turtles and otters.. Volunteers and guides are around to help share information. Take a picnic, stroll and enjoy the surroundings...wonderful
Gift shop .. Donations are accepted for continuing support... it’s free... 🌻

We went during the rain and still had a nice time. The staff were friendly and it was really cool to see all the animals. Love that they accept animals and do everything they can to rehab and release them. The ones that are unable to live in the wild are kept on property.

Great place to bring the family with a wide range of animals from panthers to bears, and owls to Eagles. And... It's free! If you enjoyed yourself leave a donation. Also, if you find your self with a animal that needs rescue, bring it to them. Every week day at 3pm there's an educational animal show as well.

This is an excellent place to bring your family over Spring Break to see the animals at this sanctuary.

What a lovely zoo & a great place to bring small children. It has a lot of Florida native wildlife including the Florida panther.

This is not a zoo this is simply a sanctuary where animals are rehabilitated before being released back into the wild. Animals that are indigenous
to this region of Florida. They offer summer camps to the local children and have many things for them to see and learn. When we were there they had a bear, a puma and many small animals. There is no charge to tour the facility. You do not need to spend all day there but it is worth stopping by.

This is a great place to go to see different animals being rescued and taking care of it's also great to support local businesses that are trying to do good.

The people here ate doing some great work with local wildlife and rehabilitating them to release them back into the wild. If they can’t get them back out there they keep them here to live and be taken care of. The facilities are nice and shaded. There is no charge but they do accept donations. There is also a gift store to help their work. The grounds are well marked. There are a variety of animals to check out. Bears. Panthers. Gators. Various birds. Bobcats. All in a tranquil setting. I believe they have different programs that would especially be great for children. I imagine there are times when it gets very busy but I was here on a weekday around noon and it wasn’t too bad.

Came here with my mom. Loved every minute of it. I wish more sanctuaries did this. We stayed for the show, which was very informative and fun!!

I have a pass so I go more than I might without one. It can get very hot due to less wind. It's on the intercoastal facing Jupiter Island and near the state park.the little museum is good for 15-25 minutes and money goes to a good cause. Unless a school bus is in the parking lot you will be in low population density. Most people buzz right by the place. It's a one and done for most people but again well worth the one.

My granddaughter had her birthday party at Busch Wildlife on a Sunday. The park is closed to the public. She and her quests had the park to themselves. The staff gave an animal show that was fantastic. So much better than the bowling alley or Chuckie Cheese!

This place is a treasure. The BWS folks do such important rescue/rehab work, and created an uncommonly beautiful visitor experience. Kids will LOVE this place, and adults will be surprised by how much they learn. I love walking the boardwalks around the cypress swamp & getting up close and personal with native Florida wildlife.

My friends in town took the baby raccoons that they found, to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. It is great to know that there is a place that will help any helpless animals, injured or homeless.

Place was nice for kids to visit. Love the fact that they do what they do. Wish the gift shop had been open, it was muddy going back to the bears and panther exhibits, wear good shoes.

There are not enough amazing things I can write to get anyone to understand how spectacular this place was. I have been to wildlife reserves before and the experience was nothing compared to this. The whole family was able to hold more than one or two animals and the animals were varied. The people who give the tours are so knowledgeable and work with the wild animals in ways I have never seen. If you are around the area, this is a must!!

I took my father who is 70+ years old and my two children (ages 7 and 9) to this small wildlife sanctuary. The grounds were very nice and it offered a great experience for each of us. We saw bears, panthers, cougars, alligators, crocodiles and various birds and small wildlife animals. There is no formal dining area or any place to get food other than some snack assortments at the gift shop (all merchandise was extremely affordable...no outrageous mark-ups!!). There were ample picnic areas if you choose to bring in a picnic style lunch. Our visit took less than two hours to complete which was the perfect time frame, especially during a Florida summer!! It started to thunderstorm with heavy rains but that didn't prevent us from ending our visit. They have many covered porches next to many of the exhibits and all the pathways are covered with overhanging trees which provide shade away from the hot sun. Check out their website and try to revolve tour trip around some of the cool activities they offer (alligator feeding).

Had an awesome time here on a Saturday. Many families with small children were there. No admission price, but all donations are encouraged. Funds from items purchased in the gift shop also support the facility. Numerous birds, bear. Bobcat, are on display. Interaction exhibitions are also scheduled, so be sure to catch one. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

These guys manage to do amazing work on donations and a small budget. It is a perennial field trip destination, so go when it will not be crowded with school buses.
Generally lots of animals to see and those under their care are well kept. Some cannot be put back in the wild, but they do a great job of education.
They'll also help you with a domestic critter incident if they can, at least they'll tell you what to do if they won't take the animal into their care.

They don’t have a huge amount of space but they do a lot with what they have. It is important to understand they are here for the animals first and foremost but they look after their visitors well. Take a look I advance to see what they have planned for activities and you’ll be able to take advantage of the time you are there. They don’t charge but donations are appreciated.

This animal hospital makes for a nice walk in the woods. Its here for animals and fish that have been involved in incidents and harmed. Its here to get the animals back into the wild. Its nonprofit so needs your donations. Animals that you could see: Florida panther (or cougar), black bear, fox, otter, skunk, deer, eagles, wild turkey, alligators, crocodiles, and snakes.

Smaller than the zoo, able to spend more time and get closer to the animals. Free (we always make a donation). They have educational shows. The kids love it. Most of it is shaded, so not too hot.

A lovely spot to go with lots do. They even have a great zoo that kids can pet animals as well. It is geared nicely for your ne'er folks and it is done nicely. Everyone smiles and it is must to go place with kids.

What a lovely little animal sanctuary. Well maintained and staffed. The bears, bobcats and panthers were especially interesting. Also a lot of birds and some nice natural areas to wander thru. This is a donation only facility and one that everyone should support.

An animal rescue park where injured or abandoned animals are rehabilitated to be released or kept and cared for. Clean, educational, interesting and fun. Come and bring your kids.

If you like animals this is a great place to visit for families and adults who appreciate the people who work to rehabilitate the natural wildlife. Takes about 1-1/2

The grandkids and I have been here several times and have donated supplies for their hospital and brought a few box turtles and sliders in need of new homes. No set entry fee this sanctuary relies on donations and hard working volunteers. Groups are welcomed and a great setting for a kid party.

This is a great facility with lots to see. The only problem we had was there was no handicapped parking available, and it was a bit hard to drop off.

Our family always enjoys the day spent at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. The grandkids especially love the gators. Thanks.

Beautiful place with a worthy cause. We enjoyed the shady trail and visiting with all the stories. Cost is free but a donation is appreciated. A must stop. Great for kids and adults. I enjoyed talking to the talking parrot

We enjoyed a couple of hours there where injured or orphaned animals are cared for. Many are healthy but can't be freed because of exposure to humans (such as discarded pets) and could not longer take care of themselves in the wild. The animals are very well cared for by large volunteer staff. We saw playful sea otters, two foxes chasing each other around, birds, some Florida panthers, and bears and much more. There is no admission and a donation is really needed to keep up the good work.

I went to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary with my daughter and my 7 year old granddaughter a few days after Christmas. This is a really nicely laid out and maintained nature and animal sanctuary. The walking paths to all of the exhibits give this a very woodsy like feel. There are lots of animal exhibits and there is no charge for admission. My granddaughter had been there before and still really enjoyed it immensely. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to take children.

Amazing experience to see local Florida wildlife; animals and sanctuary well taken care of. Pro staff!

Nice place to spend time with kids. We were for almost two hours. The girls loved it! We sure we’ll return.

This is a very nice, well maintained animal sanctuary. They have different birds, owls, foxes, bobcats, panthers, bears, and more. The caged areas are a good size overall. I've been to some sanctuaries where the panthers' enclosures were only a fraction of the size. Summer is getting hot, and there aren't any fans or misters as you walk around so I'd bring water, a hat, and a portable fan if heat is an issue for you. I would say 1-2 hours is enough time. We were there almost 2 hours but went slow, reading all the exhibits in the welcome center and looking at all the animals and reptiles. I know they also have shows and presentations, so you'd have to check online or call for the schedule. They have a gift shop that also has a few drinks and ice creams/popicles.
It's donation only. They have a cash or card option.

This sanctuary is definitely worth seeing. It was free (donations appreciated) and you see a lot of animals. The team there is outstanding. They are knowledgeable and passionate about their work. We were there for the end a camp session and the kids presented their animals to the group. They did a great job.

We loved the animals..Would've stayed longer get but rain and mud bogged natural pathways made us leave to quickly! I've never seen a bald eagle up close before. Loved it so much I bought a geode magnet with the Busch name to remember it! Will take my grandkids when it's cooler and enjoy even more! I made a small donation..But will try to do more in the future. My favorite tidbit of info was the story I was told of the rescue of a California Mtn Lion from the Butte Fires last year. They saved the cat from dying a horrible death.

Excellent sanctuary for animals in need, super awesome place to visit, try not to miss if you are in the area.. truly worth the trip and a very good experience as well. A+++++

The wildlife sanctuary is a great place to learn about and see the local animals. They take care of injured animals and attempt to rerelease them back in the wild. This is a great place for kids. No charge, but the ask for a donation.

No charge to get in but across donations. Go through the discovery zone first so you can get back ground in the animals. Specially Freddy the alligator
It's only took us a little over an hour with a child in a wheelchair. Good place for a quick trip.
Believe there are picnic tables for family use and restrooms that are very clean.

I totally recommend a visit to this peaceful and awesome place, it is a win win situation, you get to see and learn about the local animals and they benefit from your donations. Please donate to help this beautiful animals in need.

This place is great for kids of all ages! We have been several times and love it each time! Make sure you wear bug spray!

We took our younger grand kids here and they loved it. They ran from cage to cage to view all the animals.
There is no admission and no parking fee. Go when it cool as it gets hot in Florida.

The playful foxes were cute. Most animals hot and hiding. The shading trees are so green and pretty for picture backdrops.

We took a trip to this lovely sanctuary on a cool MLK day. The cooler weather had many of the animals out lounging in the sun providing us with a closeup look at some beautiful animals. The grounds and animal enclosures were clean and well maintained. This facility rehabs sick and injured animals for possible return to the wild. If they are unable to return for any reason they have a forever home at the sanctuary.

I have been to Busch Wildlife many times with my children from the time they were in strollers to middle school age. I also have gone with my kindergarten class for the last few years. Each time we go we find a little something new and learn a little more about the animals at the sanctuary and their needs and how to better protect them. There is also a pavilion to have lunch and a cute little gift shop. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is a must see! It's a beautiful sanctuary run by donations only so open your wallet because the work they do is admirable and the facility is beautiful and needed!!! I loved every minute I was at this facility!!!!

Really nice place. Small enough to walk around and enjoy with children. A lot of shade and benches throughout. A lot of animal interactions hosted by great staff, all clearly passionate about their jobs. Fantastic for families or taking visitors.

I recently found about this neighborhood attraction. Its located in a shady natural habitat. I was surprised with the amount and species of rescued animals that this wonderful non-profit organization takes care of. The Black Bear Docent was very knowledgeable. Really enjoyed her lecture. I also loved the really cool owl exhibit. The nice thing about this venue is that you can get it and out in a half hour, due to its size.

This place is a fantastic local attraction.
It is ‘free’ to enter although I would hope that everyone who visits would leave a donation to support the work that the sanctuary does.
I took my 2 year old and he loved it.
It’s not a huge place but we still spent most of the day there, revisiting some animals and listening to the staff give talks and displays.
It really is worth a visit

This is a wonderful place for family to go and walk around and look at the animals. It can be very educational if you want it to be. It also has a great gift shop and ample restrooms. Your entrance fee is a donation of your choice and they rehabilitate insured wildlife so how can you possibly go wrong. You only need 2 hours MAX so give it a try and leave a nice donation 😉

Love what they do for the animals! Don't forget that since there is no admission charge to please donate so they can continue to rescue more animals....I highly recommend for little ones. Pair it with aquarium for a full day. They also have picnic tables if you wanna take lunch.

I loved visiting this sanctuary. This was a wonderful experience, you can see the animals are well taken care of. It is a fantastic place to take kids. Entry is free but you can make donations. You cam donate at the gift shop or there are also donations boxes around. No one is hassling for donations. Please donate. I suggest going around 10am so that the heat isn't bothersome. I thought there might be mosquitos but I really had no problem. Not sure if it depends on the time of year. Make sure to stop here if you are in Jupiter.

We love this place. There are a lot of animals to see and it's by donation. There is no pressure on how much to donate, the bins are located all over the park. There are a lot of shaded areas, so on really hot days, it's not so bad. When we have visitors from out of town, we bring them here. I have two teen daughters, ages 19 and 15. If you are a birder, you would love this place.

The Wildlife Sanctuary is worth the drive. We were impressed with the animals, site and the staff. If you can plan your trip to include the 3:00 p.m. amphitheatre show and "get to know" the owl, snake, alligaor and skunk, it is an experience. Kudos to the staff showing their love for the wildlife. Great opportunity to walk about the grounds and ideal for kids. Highly recommend this visit.

Perfect for grandchildren & out of town company because you can stay 15 minutes or for hours depending what you’re looking for.

It is very pretty and serene, we enjoyed it. In our group we had kids from age 3 to 16. It’s a great place to spend an hour and a half, doesn’t have to be an all day thing.

I took my 4 year old geandson as we're looking for places to go during summer... There is no charge... It's on a donation basis... Had a great little gift shop upon entering. All the animals are well kept in nice habitats.. the only thing that was a hindrance was the paths. This is our rainy season to it is extremely wet and the paths are very muddy... We enjoyed our visits and saw alot of different animals... Our favorite were the otters!

Been here once and it was a lovely experience. There is a lot of shade so you don't feel like the sun is beating down on you even when it's hot out. We really enjoyed the barn where you learn about different animals and they let you pet them. They accept donations and at the end of your journey your giving a decent donation because of your experience and what they do.

It's our favorite place in Jupiter! Lots of local birds and animals! Donations only. You can spend over an hour here.

This was a nice surprise. We was looking for things to do and this popped up ok trip advisor as something free to see.
They are a animal rescue preserve. Not really a zoo.
There is so much to see and do. A lot of Florida native animals to see. Deer, birds, alligators, reptiles and other animals. And two bears.
If you are looking for something really neat and free then check this place out.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a great way to spend a couple of hours enjoying nature and the local flora and fauna. Plus you are helping to fund a great venture in maintaining and caring for the animals that have been injured and are being rehabilitated. You get to see the animals close up and all of them seemed very healthy and well cared for. There is an animal encounter and it is entertaining as well as being educational. Everyone we encountered at the Sanctuary were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You want to donate because it is such a good example of where the money is being used. A donation is optional but you will end up giving more before you leave. That is the feeling we got after spending more than two hours here.

Came here with my parents (I'm a 20 something they are 50 somethings). The park is small but we had a great time. You can see lots of animals. And there are tons of birds. It took us about an hour to see everything and we really enjoyed it

This place is great! My family and I have been coming to Bush for years. However we had not been there since they moved to their new location. We went today and thoroughly enjoyed it. They do such a great job taking care of all the animals. They have bobcats, bears, turkeys, Florida panthers and more. Though it’s not a huge facility, it packs a punch. Plus it runs only on donations. We love Bush and will return soon.

Very nice place to visit. Perfect for children as well as adults. Not huge price to get in like many zoo's yet has so much to offer.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary not only is educational, clean, and fun. It teaches everyone how to help out wild life. Our children love the animal shows/information shows, and we love the open air “in the wild” feel. Visiting our favorite Florida bear is always something we look forward to doing. They have animals big, and small! Don’t forget to stop in at the gift shop and grab a token to remember your stay.

Busch Wildlife is a wonderful place to visit with local animals and to learn more about them. They also do fabulous work in rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife. Definitely a good place to support!

Nice way to spend a cloudy and damp Florida vacation day. The volunteers were pleasant and helpful. The park is well maintained and organized. The animals are beautiful and it's an added bonus knowing they are going back to their natural habitats when they heal. This is a donation centered sanctuary, I'd rather donate generously to this than overpay to get into a theme park.

Very nice to visit these birds and animals who are surviving and thriving because of the wonderful people who care!

This attraction is a very nice stop for a family with young children and a nice way to spend an hour or two for couples who are staying nearby and don’t need another afternoon at the beach. I think that the zoo aspect of the sanctuary is what most people are exposed to and I wish it would be possible to see more of the work being done to save abandoned and injured animals. The volunteers are all wonderful people and believe in what they are doing to help. perhaps when the move to new quarters in a year or two we will see a more complete picture of the work being done.

Gave this an average for those that seek zoos and sanctuary's but well worth the visit. Just not up to the top national locations.

Free to go in by donation to the zoo. Very neat place with lots of animals being saved or treated from problems in the wild. They have shows and educational things for the whole. We go twice per year and everyone enjoys it.

I took an injured Egret there that was hit by a car and later found out they x-rayed and found multi broken bones in the leg and wings so they kept him comfortable until he past...
They are moving back to Jupiter Farms and I can't wait to see all the animals in their new habitats...

Took my parents and we had a great time. All they ask for is a donation of your choice...I gave 10 dollars. They really do great things for the animals there. All rescues and they take any injured animals and rehabilitate them.

Is a good place to get close to some of the fauna of Florida. It's sad that they have to be in cages but hopefully they can help educate people about wild Florida. There were a number of empty cages - there was no information to say whether the animals had been rehabilitated or were away for some other reason.

Dropped by with my animal loving wife. Free to visit...they hope for donations. It's very well maintained and houses Florida Panthers, bobcats, birds, reptiles, bears, etc. A great way to spend an afternoon for a small hike checking out the wildlife and how much these folks take care of them.

Interesting collection of animals in need of rehab or temporary shelter and even permanent residence in some cases. Animals are outdoors in pens rather than indoors in cages. I saw a red fox, a pair of bobcats, two Florida panthers each in its own pen, tortoises, all manner and size of birds, deer, wild turkeys, a peacock, among others. There's a serpentarium with about a dozen snakes, many venomous, all from the U.S. I think.
The trails are maybe a total of half a mile or less in combined length I would guess. Easy, shaded walking. There's a gift shop. Admission is free. Donations are accepted. There are slotted drop boxes at spots throughout the sanctuary so doners can drop in some money. I put $5 in a couple of these boxes.
Good for the kids, and adults. A worthy cause. My rating is actually a 4 1/2.

Amazing experience looking at all the animals, and especially the Birds of Prey presentation, where they showed an owl & a hawk to describe these beautiful birds.

Our oldest grandson loves nature. There are so many nature trails throughout along with the many birds and other animals that he was very impressed. The different species of birds, etc., have mostly been badly injured so that they can not be released back into the wild. Or, if they can be totally healed, they are treated and then released. Mostly you are walking through trees and water areas so it is fairly cool even on a hot day. We were there several months ago so I am relying on my feeble memory but I think there was no charge but there is a donation box at the end which is inside the gift shop. The gift shop has a lot of nice items, many books, rocks, etc. most at reasonable prices. It is just a wonderful place to visit.

My recommendation is to visit! I've visited with children, grandparents, and everything in between. This rustic sanctuary has all kinds of animals ranging from cougars to pelicans, to alligators. The admission is donation based, to support their work.

Nice place to go check out with little ones. I would say it can be a little buggy at times so do not forget some short of spray. They work by donation so there is not a specific cost to go. You will not stay for hours but a nice place to walk around.

My family visited the wildlife sanctuary on a rainy day when we couldn't go to the beach. We absolutely loved it! It was drizzling and many of the animals were enjoying the weather. They were out and about, exploring their beautiful habitats. My 7 year old was very excited to see a red fox and peregrine falcon for the first time. The people at this wildlife sanctuary do so much good for native wildlife, rehabbing and releasing the ones that they can and providing happy homes for the animals who wouldn't survive in the wild. The wildlife encounters were cancelled due to the rain, but we spent about an hour and a half enjoying the sanctuary. There is no entrance fee, but please give a generous donation if you can. We will definitely visit this wildlife sanctuary again!

Great place for children and adults! Free will donations accepted. Wide variety of exotic animals including birds, panthers, snakes, alligators and much more. One of the best bargain activities in Jupiter.

I love taking my boys here. They get to run around along shaded pathways to see a variety of local wildlife. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Bring a lunch and have a picnic after you've seen the animals. They have a story time which includes a small animal viewing. It's really cute. If you go, please give a small donation to keep this place accessible to everyone.

This magnificent wildlife rehabilitation zoo is worth a visit and is especially great for children with hands-on wildlife shows every day. Watching a child stroking a baby alligator is precious to behold. No admission fee - just donate! It's worth a trip.

So much of South Florida is paved over, it’s easy to forget that all kinds of animals are native to the area. This animal sanctuary had many birds, reptiles, and other small animals. They also have two large enclosures for bears and panthers. My friend and I saw several school groups but never felt overwhelmed with other people. It would be nice if more staff could be available to answer questions. The sanctuary has a cute gift shop.

This place does a lot of good work regarding wildlife rescue. We have visited often. Nice to take a picnic. Good place to take kids to see wildlife.

Great short visit. We went in morning. Could have been there longer but kids were hungry for lunch. We enjoyed seeing the different wildlife animals and looking at volunteer projects that created the sanctuary. My teens loved looking for the Pokemon hot spots that were through out the sanctuary along with seeing the animals. We loved seeing the Florida black Bears! Would be nice to picnic next time we go. The sanctuary was just down road from great places to eat and sleep. Not far from ocean either!

My daughter and I spent two hours at this small wildlife sanctuary. We arrived just in time for the afternoon Wildlife Encounter program. The two staff members showing the animals did a great job explaining what makes each one unique and why they are important to our Florida ecosystem. Although the animals cannot be touched as that is disturbing to them, the handler did hold them up for photo ops. The goal of the sanctuary is to rehabilitate and release every animal brought to them for treatment (over 6000 per year!). Some animals cannot be released into the wild for various reasons and those are the "permanent residents" you'll see in the pens. There is a variety of birds, snakes, bears, a panther, deer, etc. If you enjoy learning about animals and supporting an organization working to help them as well as educate people, then definitely stop by!

A really nice animal park that rescues and rehabilitated injured or underage animals. It is free and open to the public.

First, let's agree that the work Busch Wildlife Sanctuary does in caring for injured animals is beyond reproach and fully worthy of financial support. The new location has a larger animal hospital to care for injured animals. However, the new location, in it's present state, is underwhelming. Compared to its original location, which we have visited for more than 20 years, it is sterile and devoid of the coziness that made the old location a truly enjoyable experience.
Concrete sidewalks and viewing stations, devoid of shade trees, make for hot and tiring viewing, esp. for small children. The enclosures for both large and small animals offer limited viewing as many of the animals seek covered shelter from the sun. For example, if you have visited the old facility, you'll recall the otter enclosure with its waterfall that the otters enjoyed so much. The new otter enclosure is pathetic.
What bothered me the most was the way donations are accepted when you enter building. Three credit card machines face you with suggested donations in amounts that may very well be greater than some families are willing to donate. No longer is there a cash container for you to decide what works for your budget. And, unlike inviting old complex entrance, there is only one person to watch over credit card machines.
A number of our friends who have visited both facilities have made similar comments. We will continue to donate as we have in the past. Decide for yourself.

Nice way to spend an hour or so, and it's free! Bears, panthers, many birds, small mammals, mostly rescued and hopefully being rehabbed. Small gift shop. Donations encourages. Nice walking paths. Great for kids.

I had a fantastic time here viewing all the animals. There are a large variety of them and it's good to know that the animals are not exploited. Its a rescue facility. They help them and release them if possible. Awesome educational opportunity for children and adults alike.

It's small but amazing. Donation only, no admission. Their goal is to rescue and rehabilitate to release into the wild. The animals on display are permanent residents because they can't be returned to the wild for one reason or another. Demonstrations are hands on and up close and personal. My 7 & 10 year old animal lovers were in heaven. Great way to spend a few hours and not break the budget. Another plus is it's very shaded by large trees so you're not roasting in the hot Florida sunshine.

this sanctuary is donation only to walk through.Donate! these folks take care of many hurt wild animals, its a great place. clean and perfect size, an hour is all you need

The animals were well cared for and most were housed in expansive living areas. Perches, tunnels, climbing towers and more offered shade, height and view to the bears, cougars, otters, foxes, and more. Many volunteers kept the paths and pens clean and smell free. Signs offered facts about the animals and colorful donation boxes gave visitors many opportunities to help and support the organization. A child's birthday party on site was a great idea to offer publicity for the refuge. Special evening activities can be booked and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

What an enjoyable walk through nature amongst God's creatures. The animals seem to be well cared for and thank goodness rescued from what may well have been a fatal outcome otherwise. Thank you for doing what you do. I hope as people visit this place and enjoy a day in nature, they remember to contribute in the 'donation' boxes along the paths. I was surprised they didn't charge any fees or ask for any donation upon entering the sanctuary, which makes it even more important that we voluntarily contribute as we enjoy this awesome place.

Need a cool place to entertain kids for a few hours? This has animals that have been rescued locally. See all the local favorites in a small, shaded environment.

We LOVE this place. It takes a couple hours to walk through. They have a variety of animals that are easy for everyone to see. Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, fox, bears, panthers, deer, turkey, turtles, otters and more. The walkways are not paved. Knowledgable volunteers. Great place, runs on donations.

I am not a fan of zoos but this is an animal rescue. They saved and released 5000 just this year. It was pretty hot walking around but most is in the shade which helps. Great place to take kids.

This is one of the best animal sanctuaries I have been to. All of the cages were clean and the pools were blue instead of murky green. We went on Halloween and the animals had pumpkins in their cages. The walking paths are clearly marked so you don’t miss anything. Takes about an hour to see it all There is no cost to go but it is a non profit and donations are greatly appreciated. A great way to spend an afternoon.

love to visit, they have so many animals, & birds, even eagles, who have been hurt, & are recuperating here, to be released if possible. always something new to see. great hiking trails, oh yes, & some bears last time we visited. a perfect day for young & old alike. educational, & also instuctive on the kinds of animals we do not purchase for pets, as they have some exotics her that were given up. everyone forgets that these animals are wild. love the turtle pond, so many of them. the volunteers are informative, & will advise you of what to see, & proper behavior among the animals, also feeding times. subsists on donations, so be genrous as it can't be cheap to house, & feed the critters. all creatures in natural habitats if possible. a nice visit in a somewhat natural setting

Great to see the work being done to rehabilitate so many animals in distress. Set in a rustic way with shady trails and lots of native flora. The sanctuary operates on donations and does not charge for admission. Visit and help them continue their mission.

Yes the place is free to visit, but they do work on donations! If you chose to come here you probably already figured out that wildlife is cool! This place makes it easy! Super clean, wide walkways and paths, nice enclosures good cross section of local fauna! Plus you get to walk thru actual wetlands. Butterflies, birds and free roaming wildlife everywhere! We even got to see a local wild gopher tortoise to walk across the picnic area. Snakes, birds, alligators, crocs, panthers, hawks, kites, parrots, panthers, skunks, bears and many more all amazingly groomed and kept! Well done staff and volunteers... the grounds are magnificent! Great for kids too! Nice store also.

Fun and free. Take a look at many indigenous animals in a friendly, not too crowded environment. Not too much parking.

This small zoological park is a sort of sanctuary where native Floridian animals are sheltered, cared for, and displayed. Everything from wild turkeys to Florida Panthers to bobcats, foxes, deer, alligators, turtles, tortoises, armadillos and on and on is to be found displayed in a very pleasant, park tucked away in a quiet corner of Jupiter. Donations are requested, but I've never had to pay a fee to enter on the many occasions I've visited. This place is kid friendly, but plenty interesting for adults, too. Parking is free, as well. A great place to spend a very pleasant hour or two surrounded by native Floridian wildlife in a thoroughly non-commercial setting. And oh, they are bears, and bald eagles, and river otters, and snakes, and exotic birds and more...

This place is a hidden gem! It runs completely on donations and what they do is amazing. I felt safe as everyone wore masks. The staff presents shows throughout the day and it's educational for homeschooled children. They have a great variety of animals and information on each one, I saw so many creatures up close. I really enjoyed my experience, it takes about an hour or so to complete the self guided tour.

Went for the first time to toddler story time! It was great and free! Kids get to interact with two animals after the story is read. Toddlers are kinda all over the place but it worked! It was a gated area so they couldn't get too far! After the story time we went around the park and it was wonderful! It was earlier in the morning so all of the animals were awake and some were being feed! Really cool to watch! Just be sure to bring your bug spray, mosquitoes were rampant!

They had a show with some of the animals. You could even touch some of them. They have an alligator and crocodile. Bald Eagle exhibit which was nice. Overall great place to visit.

My mom and I stopped here while I was visiting for the holidays and despite there being a school field trip there as well it wasn't crazy busy or overwhelming. It's a small place with a variety of animals - personal favorite was the two foxes changing and pouncing one each other. There's no entrance fee they just request donations to keep them open to continually help animals. Great way to spend some time

Good visit of animals that are native to the area albeit that they are injured in dime way. Great staff interaction with the animals. Clean area. Animals look well cared for. Good walking trails and parking.

This is a low-key, family-friendly destination, a few minutes off Route 95 in Jupiter. Funded entirely by donation, there are a suprising variety of animals who call the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary home, from bald eagles to bears, alligators to owls. If you'd like to get up close and personal with the animals, check the sanctuary's website and stop by during the regularly scheduled Animal Encounter presentation or the alligator feeding time. Parking is free, but was a bit of a challenge midday on a Saturday in January.

Snake exhibit is cool and scary, great bird residents especially the owls. Loved the bears, panthers and gators. Go,you will like it.

Such a wonderful experience. Schedule a tour. So much to see and learn especially if you love animals. And the story of the beginning of this sanctuary is wonderful!

Free and just a lovely place to spend my lunch hour at the picnic tables then take a walk around to see the animals. It is so peaceful and if you wish to leave a donation you may.

There are many enclosures with local wildlife. The staff is very knowledgeable and will answer questions about the animals. An excellent opportunity to see these beautiful creatures up close in a controlled environment. There are several informative sessions throughout the sanctuary.

Can't believe I've lived in S. Florida for so long and this is my first visit here. Attending a birthday party for our 5 yr olds friend which is being held here. Great place to see animals of all types and even better knowing this organization is rehabbing them because they were injured. Only animals we didn't get to see were the bears and panthers as they were in their enclosures during our visit.
There is no fee to enter but there are donation boxes out to assist them in continuing their efforts to rescue wild animals.

This is a wildlife rehab facility. Some residents are permanent due to injuries that prevent them from being released. There is a lot of shade on the walkways which is nice on a hot day. You get relatively close to the animals. There are attendants walking around with owls and snakes for a close up encounter. It is primarily for animal rehab and secondarily for the viewing public. There is no entrance fee, so remember to leave a donation.

Regardless of age, Busch Wildlife Refuge is a must see. There is no admission fee, as it relies on donations for support. Be generous. The animal enclosures (several built as Eagle Scout projects) are (or are being renovated into) animal habitat oriented. You can also donate to individual animal enclosures. There is a wide variety of animals, ranging from snakes to bears, Florida panthers, otters, large and small birds including raptors and water fowl. It is not a petting zoo, but a very well organized and cared for sanctuary. More importantly, it is educational. Our grandson enjoys going every year. Plan on spending at least one hour. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is a gift shop that offers a wide range of items, the best being educational books on native Florida wildlife. Plenty of free and Disabled parking.

This is a beautiful place go visit. Free to get in- you can donate if you want. Many animals including a tiger an bear. All saved animals and they take such good care of them. A little smelly- but to be expected since they all live there. Nice place to visit. Small and quaint but great animals to look at.

We stopped by Busch Wildlife one afternoon since the waves were too turbulent that day. They had many species of birds and other wildlife. I would suggest going down all the trails so you don't mess anything. Also, be sure to give a donation so that they can continue their great work.

Great place to learn about and see Florida wildlife. Takes about an hour to go through.
Special programs offered - check their website. Donations are accepted.

Nice place old spot was better more shaded areas. To hide from the sun not so much in the new location still a nice time and a good place to see and learn about animals

The facility is a bit dated, but there is lots to see, don't miss walking up to the wetland area to see all the birds traveling through the area.

Visited with a friend and 2 teenage girls. We loved seeing all the animals there that had been rescued. Some we got to learn about how/why they were there and wish they would post that info for every one. Interaction program was good but a little long, especially for little kids.

This is a must visit for adults and especially kids. You will see and learn about native wildlife in a spacious location. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Bears, birds, alligators, snakes, panthers etc. are all included in this sanctuary.

Plenty of both small and large animals to see that have been cared for by this fine organization. Don't miss the bears and panthers.

Someone recommended that we visit the sanctuary during our trip. There isn't an admittance fee, just donations. We really enjoyed ourselves. It's great that there is a place that will take in rescued or injured animals.

Great place to visit and teach kids about wildlife and nature. Interactive and educational shows daily.

What a great place to take children They can see animals that have been rescued and saved. Not large but very nice.

Wonderful caring staff and a sweet area to visit the animals I believe they have saved over the years.

This place is free (only ask for donations) and great for the family. They have a ton of animals here and they even have shows talking/teaching you about animals and even allowing you and kids to touch them. It's a fantastic place to take the family. Please donate if you can as that is how this sanctuary is funded.

For local and visitors Busch Wildlife Sanctuary has a large variety of birds and animals that have been recued and rehab back to life. They provide a great service to the community.

We really enjoyed our visit here. My 2 year old had a blast and was ooh’ing and ahhh’ing at everything. The staff was very nice and they were open to answering any questions. I’d probably go back if I’m in the area again.

Small rehab that receives about 5,000 animals a year. No fee to enter, operates on donations. Nice place for children.

This wildlife sanctuary is great! We were visiting from the west coast of Florida and decided to stop in for a couple of hours. Free admission, although they appreciate donations. Wide variety of animals to see. We loved watching the raccoons and bobcats. The black bears and coyotes were napping, because it was hot (middle of the afternoon). We also attended the 3 pm program in the amphitheater, which was a great presentation by a knowledgeable employee. We got a close look at a screech owl, touched a skunk and learned all about crows. Very interesting. Most of the paths are shady, so it's not too hot there. If you have an hour or two, this is a pleasant place to visit, for all ages.

It's a gem in Jupiter Florida. Plan at least a couple hours to walk the whole place. Possibly call ahead for showings. Has an information/gift store. Restrooms are available and clean.
Most of the animals are rescued, but very well taken care of. Exhibits are clean and the staff does a great job maintaining them. Staff very friendly and willing to answer questions. It's FREE.
I recommend you visit and share your experience.

If you like to visit zoos you will definitely enjoy Wildlife. Everything from Bears, to birds and reptiles with a great walking path and rest stops. There are parrots, owls, crocks, eagles, hawks, turtles and more. It's free along with free parking. Both the kids and adults will enjoy all the animals some of which they probably never saw before except in a magazine or the movies. They do have donation boxes but no one is pressed to donate in any way. All these animals and birds have been injured in some way and can no longer survive in the wild. I was most impressed with the Eagles and Owls. Well worth a trip and it's free!

Animals in distress need help, and Busch Wildlife Sanctuary provides this help. they have just completed an expansion of the grounds and this place is worth a nice 3 hour visit.

This place is a hidden gem. First, they rescue wildlife and it is amazing to see black bear, eagles, birds of prey, gators, snapping turtles , otters, parrots, raccoons, panthers, bobcats, etc.
Not only is it a kind place that saves animals and the focus is release after rehabilitation.
We cannot underestimate the value of their service to our community.
People of all ages will love!!! 3 pm each day they have an animal show. Mondays at 4 they feed gators. They have a great spot for birthday parties etc- bring your camera.

Love that they rehabilitate and then release. Bummed a bit cause not a lot of animals. Just means that our furry, winged and amphibious friends are home

A great place to spend a part of your day enjoying wildlife in a natural setting. Educational signs and exhibits help you learn about the animals. A gift shop is on site. There are some areas where you are able to feed the animals. A great place to take your children. Donations are welcomed.

I️ was very impressed with the upkeep of the sanctuary. The workers seemed to be busy cleaning and caring for the injured animals during my whole visit. 4 large bald eagles acted as the highlight for us. Many birds, turtles and bears and panthers all active. Donations accepted in gift shop and along the tour.

Free, or make a donation to support the sanctuary- amazing trails and all the animals u would expect to see. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Convenient to the highways and plenty of parking.

They have a wide assortment of animals. The exhibits are well done and there were many animal visitors too.

If you are in to nature and learning about your environment and how to care for it this is the perfect place. They are a part of the community and do a magnificent job plus, are present at a lot of local events. It's all about awareness.

Yes this place is a wonderful place full of animals and great place for kids to run free and get some energy (cause thats what ita all about am I tight moms?) I would spend about 2 hours maybe 3 here cute gift shop friendly staff and ALL OF THE ANIMALS ARE RESCUED! FInd a zoo that helps more than it hurts... anyway this is a cool place to visit even without the kids! It's got beautiful trails and you really feel like you are in old florida here! GREAT PLACE TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY OR PICNIC! Lots of shaded areas to sit!

Very well done! Non profit helping injured animals. Donations accepted, and so affordable! You should definitely check it out.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary - we were there when they were feeding the alligator & crocodile - and enjoyed watching the birds vie for the fish! This really is a great facility - we especially enjoyed the Bobcats and Cougars (Florida Panther). We had just recently seen a wild Bobcat up in Stuart - who knew Florida had Bobcats! Adults and children certainly would enjoy their visit.

Walked around all the exhibits. Very well maintained walking trails. Takes an hour for 2 adults, I imagine long for those with kids. Signs tell names of animals. Everything looks well cared for.

Free and really good. This place is really cool. Laid out very nice. Very informative a d it's fir a good cause. Definitely recommend

I have to say that the animals you see, are the animals that CAN'T be released to the wild which I found sad. They are protected in this nice facility. Thank goodness many other animals get released back to the wild. We saw a demonstration with reptiles which was very good and part of that demonstration, by Rebecca, explained the odor that occassionally wafts through the amphitheater area.

The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a small local habitat for injured animals, but a big adventure for youngsters. My 4 year old grand-daughter loves visiting here whenever she visits me. She especially loves the presentations given where several animals are brought into the audience to touch & enjoy. Never thought it would be fun to touch a skunk, alligator or a snake, but it is a wonderful way to introduce wildlife to people.

There is so much going on here since I visited a few years ago....
They are expanding and making the critters they have rescued even more at home. There is a wild animal hospital, too.
They have a little gift shop....
Give them a call to check on feeding times to really see them come alive!

This is a great place to bring adults and really great for kids as you can walk the whole property in less than 90 minutes. of nature and to view Animals too! only COST IF you choose is a monetary donation! make a donation to assure it will remain a local attraction! I Will definitely return with friends adult and friends with kids too!

It was such a nice visit, my sons loved toll learn about the animals and how they care of the rescued animals.

The Sanctuary allows visitors to view a wide variety of animals and learn about them. These animals include but are not limited to black bears, birds, small mammals and alligators. Many of the animals there are unable to be returned to the wild due to injury or illness and are therefore great tools for educating the public about their species. It is a must see if you are in the area and only takes about 45 minutes to walk the entire area and see all of the animals.

We visited Busch Wildlife Sanctuary during the morning, soon after they opened. Entry is free, but donations are suggested, and there are donation boxes located in several spots throughout. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable in introducing us to the Sanctuary and the animals there. The tour is self-guided, and you can take a leisurely stroll around the enclosures. There is a variety of animals to see; the bald eagles, otters, foxes, and panthers were cool, but my favorite was the parrot who said "hello?" roughly every 8 seconds. I would definitely recommend the Sanctuary for visitors of all ages (although I can't speak to how easy it would be to push a stroller or a wheelchair along the paths).

We love this wildlife sanctuary, such a good cause and great place to visit. Great that you can donate whatever you want to particular animals. Shame the gift shop staff/volunteers are rude and unfriendly as that's the main source to raise income for the sanctuary.

Had plans for my birthday that fell through and remembered driving by here so we decided to stop in. Very glad we did! It was a great sanctuary, very large and a huge variety of animals from bears to bald eagles to panthers. We had a great time seeing the animals, many of which had been saved from injury or other circumstances. There was a show with local kids showcasing some animals that was very informative and enjoyable.
As others have said there is no entry fee, but they do exist on donations from the public alone. So I was happy to donate to a great place for animals to call home.

Wildlife sanctuary, it's free but needs donations for operations. Located in small area, has shady trails, boardwalks through different habitats, enclosures with different birds, alligators, bears, deer. Located at Loxahatchee River District water treatment facility.

Not far from the beaches in Jupiter Florida, this Sanctuary makes an informative and enjoyable visit. Young volunteers made presentations to visitors and really enables us to get up close and personal with some interesting creatures.

This place is a little small. You can tour all the various animals and birds in about 20 minutes. But if you time it right, they have an animal encounter presentation where you can get to know more about the animals and birds and snakes, etc. up close and personal. That is at 3pm each day I think and on certain days they feed the alligators at 4pm. They also have picnic tables and there is plenty of shade so it makes a fun family outing.

A really nice place to spend a couple of hours, would definitely recommend a visit if staying in Jupiter.

One of our favorite places to take visitors. Many birds and animals not able to live in the wild.
Good for all ages.
From the Florida Panther to the parrots a fun place to explore.

A great place to see native wildlife and some exotics up close. Their hospital staff of Angels tries to heal sick and injured creatures and return them to the wild when possible. They don't charge for admission but if they did it'd be twenty bucks or so...so please visit and make a generous donation. Great place to take visitors and kids. Almost all of it is in the shade, could spend a couple hours, maybe more w kids.

Very cool walk in the park. Cool as in temperature - completely shaded and temperature seemed dramatically less than surrounding area. Cool as in all the animals in a great setting, even had a presentation by a naturalist about a variety of their animals. Cool as in it was free - they accept donations and we gave significantly. What great way to spend a few hours admiring and appreciating nature.

The zoo is small, but great for little ones to get up close to various species of animals and birds. Paths are mostly unpaved and could get muddy after a good rain. Only takes about an hour to see all exhibits. Would recommend.

This is a donation only Sanctuary which is a great place. Injured animals get rehab here and the place is kept awesome by volunteers and staff. Please DONATE as you enter and then when you leave as it is the best and cheapest place for a day visit in Florida. All ages will enjoy. PLUS, a super worthy cause!

We really enjoyed the visit at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. We will come back again when our Grandkids come for a visit.

Our grandkids love our regular visits here. They have learned a lot about our native animals and birds. The displays are clean and professional. The animals appear healthy and well cared for. The facility is just the right size, not overwhelming to see it all. Recommend a visit, and be sure to leave a donation to support their work.

Lovely display of mostly Florida wildlife. There are bobcats, panthers and black bears in one section off by themselves and lots of birds and eagles, turkeys and hawks in another. They had deer, skunks, opossums and raccoons in another area. The animals all looked contented, well fed and taken care of. It's a nice shady place to walk and view the animals. It is a free attraction but donations help to take care of the animals so it is suggested.

There is some really great work going on here. A lovely and caring environment for all of these special animals.
Hurt or wounded animals are brought here and rehabilitated and hopefully they can be released back to their environment but if not then they become the centers ambassadors which is really special.
You can see these animals are so well cared for. This is a place to visit for an hour or so and seeing the special animals that are here.

Busch Wildlife is certainly worth the visit. If you have young children, even more so. Many of the animals and wildlife have been rescued and nurtured back to health. The zoo is simple, clean and well kept. The cages and animals well cared for. It is apparent that people who work there do so because they love animals. If you want, you can pack drinks and a picnic lunch and make a day of it. There are also timed educational presentations, and some you can participate in. Easy to get around so, grandparents, think about taking the grandkids. I have been many times and enjoy it each visit.

This is a great place for anyone who loves animals. They accept donations, but entry is free (please make a donation if you go).
There are so many types of birds & owls, a croc, a gator, black bears, panthers, & more. It is clean and easy to navigate. You are up close with most of the animals.
This is a perfect half day for families with kids. I went with my husband, and we were glad we were able to fit it in.

It's great to see the variety of fauna that exists in Florida and the wonderful people that make such a great effort to save all the injured and sick birds and animals that otherwise would not have survived.

A very pleasant walk for a good cause. The animals are taken care of by great people and such a great walk around this property. It is nice to see animals treated well and rehabilitated. Love how peaceful it is there!

Busch sanctuary is a great place to visit with kids on the weekends. The staff does an excellent job of rescuing and helping injured animals that are brought in. You can tour the grounds and see some of the rescued animals and support the sanctuary with much needed donations!

My husband, son and myself went to visit in May. We really enjoyed seeing all the animals! Thank you for everything you do for them ♥♥♥

First of all, this place is free! It's a wonderful little place to view lots of rescued animals in their outdoor enclosures. Lots of pretty walking paths, ponds, wetland viewing areas....just a lovely place to spend the afternoon! I 100% recommend this place, and noticed plenty of kids and parents stopping in,I would too if I lived locally. Another cute gift store and opportunities to donate and help the rescue cause. Loved it!!!

See lots of animals in their natural habit, especially wide variety of birds. One nature path takes you through heavily wooded area. Beautifully rustic.

Wonderful way to spend the afternoon! This quite little sanctuary is off the beaten path and well worth a visit. The facility runs on donations and is FREE and open to the public. Beautifully located in pristine natural Florida surroundings. Follow the trails around to see all the native species stop and feed the turtles or see a demonstration by a member of the park. Don't miss the river otters (our favorite) or the ever favorite Florida Panthers.

An impressive place the does important work of rehabilitating injured wild animals. Place is clean and the staff are knowledgeable- discovery center is impressive. A hidden gem in palm beach county.

We've lived here for over 30 years and ALWAYS suggest that out friends and family go to Busch Wildlife. Over the years it has gotten bigger and better and is a great place to go with children or animal lovers of any age. Nice and shady, it even isn't that bad in the summertime heat. Even though it is free, please consider leaving a donation!

Whenever we have company from out of town, this is one of the places to take them. It's amazing how well they take care of their animals. They also have an educational hour under a tiki hut where they bring out different wildlife. They discuss the individual animal and bring some of them out to the audience to touch. Best of all, it is free...but donations are very much appreciated.

Great place to stroll through the animal exhibits. Set up really nice and the cost.... just donation boxes by some of the exhibits . Well done Busch Sanctuary!

Went on Sunday and it was not very busy. We did go in the afternoon after we did a few other things in the area that day. Some of the animals were not active because it was hot, but majority were out for viewing. A donation is all that is required to enter and well worth it. You can scan the QR code to find the animals story and the reason they are at the sanctuary which is really nice.

This little spot is a wonderful place to take children. It's a very special place. It's also free to the public.

I'll admit that I'm not a zoo type of guy! For me wild animals should be free and not cooped up in a pen! However......
This is not your stereo typical zoo, I believe that all the animals were either injured or the previous owners had them confiscated.
The staff here are knowledgeable and I found them friendly enough.
If your children like animals, then what better way to experience them up close. It's set in a very nice wooded area with a trail to follow.
My personal favourite was Wizard....the name of a particular panther! So regal and powerful. You'll also see eagles, turkeys, peacocks, alligators, raccoons, skunks and a whole managerie of animals.
Donations are not enforced, but are very welcomed.
Enjoy!

Beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed our visit very much. Bear, panthers, Fox, and many other animals and birds. Nice place for a walk. Free. Voluntary donation. Definitely worth the trip.

This place, and the work they do is priceless. Great animal sanctuary that not only serves as entertainment for those seeking the zoo experience, but it also serve as an educational place for children and adults alike.i love it

We always like getting an up close look at the FL. Panthers and bobcats. This small but very informative santuary has alot of animals, snakes and birds that have been rescued. Thank you for taking care of the wounded and orphaned.

Great place for a nice hike especially with younger kids. It's like a mini zoo in your own backyard! Wonderful work they do helping animals & teaching us about them.

Enjoyed walking around seeing the animals in the evening time in their habitat. Very informative learned a bunch of new things.

Nice place to see rescued Florida wildlife and learn about the animals. Good for children and families.

Great place to have picnic and walk around the trails. The staff does such an amazing job helping to rehabilitate all of nature's wildlife.

The volunteers and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are Florida panthers, birds, crocodiles, turtles, foxes and more. It's a great way to learn something new, enjoy nature and relax.
Everything is well taken care of and they have informative sessions which vary every day.

We took a walk thru the Sanctuary.
Admission if free,donations accepted.
All the wildlife are indigenous of the State of Florida.
Nice Bear,Panther,Bobcat exhibit.
We also enjoyed the Eagles.
Clean exhibits,nice peaceful environment

This is a great place to go with family! All the interesting animals that are native or residing in Florida! Educational and fun! Unbelieveable that there is something this great and FREE in Palm Beach County, FL!!! Be sure to leave a donation though! Totally worth it!!

Great place to take the kids to see Florida's wild like. The kids love seeing the alligators, Florida panthers, bear ect... They even had a place where they talked to the kids and let the pet a baby alligator, skunk, and a turtle. They also do a night event once a month and the do a campfire with s'mores. It only cost $10!!!

We had a terrific time there. We saw all sorts of animals. There were many places to sit and cool off in the shade. We did not want to leave we had so much fun!

Loved seeing all of Floridas different natural wildlife. Some I knew about some I didnt. I love going to places like this because they do amazing work to help save, animals in florida.

This is a great place for the whole family! Great for the youngsters they have a petting area. The adults will like it also they have bears,Bobcats ,Florida Panthers , Eagles and lots of snakes! And I believe you just have to donate to enter!

There is a QR code to scan to get more information about the animal and why that particular one is there which I really liked. It isn't a big place so you can walk through without spending much time or you can stand and watch the animal for a bit and take more time which is what we did since it wasn't crowded. The presentation we attended had someone walk around with 3 critters (alligator, opossum, and owl) and although we couldn't touch them we were able to be close.

Great way to spend an afternoon. The Bear exhibit is our favorite! Its free, they run on donations. Lots of nature trails, animal exhibits and live nature shows too. They're closed Sundays though.

excellent exhibits, right in the heart of the city but hidden, wonderful pavilion demonstrations, well worth the trip

The Sanctuary was such a nice place to visit to see wildlife and learn a thing or two. It is not a traditional "concrete" type of zoo but rather a walk thru nature. All the exhibits are clean and very well labeled with information for each animal. I walk with a cane and I felt very comfortable walking around and thankful for benches near just about every exhibit so that I could rest and enjoy some one on one time viewing the animals. And make sure to not miss the 3:00 show where you can get a very close up view of some of those that live there at the Sanctuary. Thanks for such a nice afternoon!!

This is a small but important sanctuary for wildlife. Allows the public to visit and see the birds and animals that are either being rehabilitated to be released back into the wild or those being treated to be kept in the sanctuary because they could not otherwise survive.

This place is ran on donations alone! Please support them and donate what you can! Very clean and well kept. Check out the black bears, turkeys, deer, cats and turkeys. They have a small gift shop.

We were in Jupiter visiting family and went there right at 3pm which is when they close, but the worker opened the doors for us and the kids who are from 3-8 years old. She not only let us in she showed us around and even let the kids touch the snakes and alligators, it was an amazing experience and I want to thank the amazing workers there again.

What a wonderful surprise! We had some extra time to spare before a Spring Training game at Roger Dean Stadium. This looked like a nice place to walk around. We were all pleasantly surprised at how big it actually was. The facilities are very nice. Not a lot of animals, but very cool to see everything they had. There is no admission charged, but donations are encouraged. Nice gift shop with fun items.

We take our young grandchildren every year when they visit. Smaller than a zoo and animals are easy to see for young children. Daily lecture for children to learn and pet animals. At each animal station there is a donation box so I bring a lot of "ones" for them to put into their favorite animal 's box. Store has great tee shirts and hats.

A great place for all ages. Go at your own pace and enjoy every animal.Kept very clean and a great Staff. So much fun.

For the Jupiter area one sees much diversified wildlife from birds to snakes, alligators and big cats..

Please people to go to work for the animals. The center is getting larger and larger, and that proves how well they're doing and how much the community appreciate that wants this place to keep going for a long long time. My father and I decided to check this place out while we were in Jupiter for a few days and we were very pleasantly surprised. There are numerous interesting animals that are local to florida, including bears, pumas, bobcats, and much more. It is very interesting to see how many of them have ended up there and are being rehabilitated. All the sights of a zoo without the crowd or noise, which allows you to appreciate the animals even more. Definitely recommend!

When an animal or bird is in trouble in our area "WHO DO YOU CALL"....BUSCH WILDLIFE !
This FREE/Donations accepted, Sanctuary can be enjoyed by folks of all ages. Over the years it has grown and improved. Picnic area is available as well as an interesting shop.
We have visited many times over the years and will be taking our great grandson soon.
I highly recommend this Jupiter attraction. Remember it is Free.

We used to live in Jupiter and when my children were young we would visit Busch Wildlife at least a few times a month. When we come back and visit my husband and I always stop for a visit with the animals and a trip to the gift shop.
The gift shop always has some unique buys for an animal lover of any age.
It’s a great place to visit with or without the kids. Don’t forget to leave a donation when you visit, the refuge depends on them to continue helping and caring for animals.
*the Busch Wildlife Refuge will be moving to a larger location in Jupiter; the scheduled date is March 2023.

Great for people of any age. Well kept and great staff! Thank you guys for making such a great place for the animals and people!♡

This is a great place to take the kids for an hour or so and you can't beat the price! We have taken our kids there many times.

Getting off I95 one morning I saw a Great Egret sitting on the off-ramp in the middle of the road not moving as cars flew by I stopped and called Busch Wildlife they asked if I would bring the bird in so I wraped it up in a towel and My friend and I drove to Busch Wildlife to drop the bird off, I called later that day to find out the birds injuries were to extensive and he had to be put down at least he got a decent burial

The Busch wildlife sanctuary outstanding collection of Florida animals including black bears, bobcats, Panthers, alligators, crocodiles, and all manner of birds.
They also have a great park and walking trails. The whole family can enjoy this park be sure to leave a nice donation. Enjoy

Brought the kids here and they really enjoyed it. Its beats them sitting in front a video game! They learned about creatures and respect them.

Loved it! It was so much fun. The kids learned about the animals and water distribution in a very interactive way. This was better then any zoo we have been to.

They take great care of the animails.and tghey have great shows.Plan ahead so you can see them all.
Spend the day there if you can

Wonderful place to take the kids and guests for up close observation and to get educated on our Florida Wildlife. Please remember to leave a nice donation to support this amazing rehabilitation center.

What a great place! It was donation only so an inexpensive animal viewing alternative to a zoo! A few spots that weren’t completely “baby proof” (what place is??) but we found it safe to let our two year old walk close by us and enjoy the animals. It was almost all shady too which was great.

This place is great to see and learn about animals. There is often a demonstration with owls, snakes, skunks, etc., which is interesting and allows people to touch certain animals. The only downside is that the sanctuary is located near a water treatment plant, which sometimes smells a bit like sewage—I think I've noticed the smell 1 out of my 3 visits.

We visited here and it was a very informative place to see all the good work they do in saving wildlife that were either injured or abandoned or in need of help in any way. The place was clean, the animals appeared to be well taken care of, their accommodations were large and the place was clean.

A wonderful place to visit with children or anyone. It provides educational documentation beside the exhibits with some animals local to our area. My only advice is to really use good insect repellant!

The facility is a really neat place to go and see local wild life. They have bears, cougars, panthers, all kinds of native animals.

One of my favorite places to go and to take visitors. It’s like a small-scale zoo with a personal touch. Don’t miss the afternoon talks at the education center where you get to see and pet all kinds of animals and birds. A real treat!

This place is a real Gem. We go often and always bring our out of town guests.
This is a working wild animal rescue/rehab/and long term care facility, open and free to the public (please donate, they are a non profit charity)
Busch is excellently run, with many volunteer opportunities, Florida Wildlife are rescued, rehabbed, and most of the time returned to the wild. Those that are injured beyond being returned are cared for as residents. The displays are thoughtful and generous. This place puts most zoo to shame

Although small, this wildlife sanctuary is a nice place to visit. The smell as you get out of your car, is not from the wildlife center, but from the nearby sewage treatment place.
The rescued animals are easily visible which is good for kids and the variety of animals (and birds and reptiles) are local to the Florida. The ranger and volunteer programs allow an extremely close up view of several smaller animals and reptiles, and you can touch them. We had no children with us but we enjoyed this small place very much.

I've come here every year (at least once) while visiting for over 10 years. Such a cool place with or without kids. Its like a mini zoo but only local animals and VERY up-close.

This place does such a great job helping the injured animals. A fun place to bring the kids or the adults!

A small reserve to help rehab animals. Nice variety of local fauna. Large enclosures. They range from snakes to bears, cougars and alligators. We went on Monday afternoon when the feed the alligator and crocodile at 4PM - they eat fast! A good trip with kids.

Finally got to see a Florida Panther! Also happened to be in the area when one of the volunteers was returning a Great Horned Owl to it's enclosure. She stopped and talked with us for a few minutes while we were able to view him up close - so grateful to get this experience. Would stop by here if you have some time and want to see some amazing wildlife...did I mention the Bald Eagles we saw...awesome place!

Wildlife rehab center in Jupiter
Great tour
Wonderful for kids and for adults as well
Free entry
Bears, panthers, eagles, otters and alligator, crocodiles and much more

Observe many of our Florida animals that cannot be returned to the wild because of some mishap or human mistake. The primary focus of the center is to care for and release animals back to the wild.Very informative in their special classes geared to young people.

If you live in Jupiter you visit once a week, if you are visiting you should take a stroll in this beautiful paradise for our wildlife. You can bring a pick nick basket and eat under the pavilion which provides many tables and seating. There is no food nor drinks available. They have 2 pubic bathrooms which are very clean. They also have activities for children at specific times so call ahead for info, including summer camp. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the wildlife. Please stop by the small store by the entrance, there are very nice things to choose from. They welcome donations as they are a nonprofit. You will love the serenity you feel as you walk through the trees that provide shade as you walk through the trails. Comfortable shoes recommended because your walking trails that are filled with mulch. A must visit if you come to Jupiter! If you live or visit Palm Beach County and encounter wildlife that is injured please call them and they will send an experienced volunteer to pickup and take to their hospital. They will rehab. Hope you get to go you’ll enjoy very much.

We went to revisit our friends at the zoo, the Bears. Beautifully kept animals and very educational. Zoo is ran by donations so dig deep.

I have been going here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. They take great care of the animals. I LOVE the bears and Panthers!! We like to take the path past the bears and walk up to the two lakes and sit at the gazebo. You can see several birds, turtles and if your lucky, a gator. It is free to go but I always bring 20 worth of smaller bills for my girls to put in the donation boxes. Truly is a must see.

Very interesting place. If you want to learn about the wildlife of Florida this is the place. Staff mostly volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Animals are always great.

Always a great experience. You can go there and it takes a donation of your choice to enter the premises. Family friendly. And very educational. A must when you visit Jupiter, Florida!

We've been her numerous times. We love coming here to see all the animals. They are close so that small children are able to see them. This place runs on donations, so please bring cash! We bring singles and our child feeds the boxes along the trails.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit with the whole family or just for a quiet solo walk through as you visit all the indigenous wildlife here. I've visited several times and I recommend it to all my friends and family who haven't already been there. Where else other than in nature can you see indigenous wildlife like panthers, eagles, white-tailed deer, hawks, etc.? I've also taken a red shouldered hawk there for rehabilitation and they kept me updated every step of his recovery and release. Love what they do, love the park.

I visit Busch WIldlife Sanctuary every opportuinity I can. It is set in beautiful surroundings with lots of trees to help shelter form the heat, and the paths are very nicelylaid out. The staff is ddedicated to assisting animals and often rescues animals in distress. Make a donation to insure this precious community gem remains in business.

What a wonderful place for all animals that have been hurt to be able to live their life out peacefully.

This is a nice local wildlife sanctuary! We loved all the local support and the idea of donation boxes all around the park for kids to put their donations in! They have a nice variety of animals and well-designed areas to observe the animals. There is no entry fee, it was nice to see a sanctuary that is well supported by the local community in addition to visitors.

A great place to see some of Florida's natural and exotic wildlife. It's a great nonprofit organization that helps rehabilitate Florida's wildlife.

I visited with my senior parents. It was an easy walk through the gardens and along the trails. The animals all seemed well taken care of. Staff was able to occasionally stop and give us some information about the animals. It is a nice facility and I am glad we visited. I really loved all of the turtles!

A very worthwhile experience. Top-notch facility with dedicated staff. Our family really enjoyed the information the preserve provided. We learned a lot about Florida wildlife. Would recommend to families!

A must see...panthers, black bears, alligators, etc. Fantastic wildlife rehabilitation program...great experience for entire family. Donations are accepted to help the sanctuary continue their good work.

And we found it to be very interesting nice. Would definitely recommend it. Donations are accepted and needed to keep the place going. Especially good for young children.

Wonderful time with the grandchildren. Also very interesting for adults. Kept the kids occupied for hours, amazing. Great cause

Well maintained attraction that would be perfect for the family with children looking to run out some energy! Just enough to look at and spend 1-2 hours. Nice gift shop too. It is free but donations are encouraged

This Sanctuary exceeded my expectation for a rescue center. The care of the animals is evident wherever you look. But also evident is their need for more funding to care for the animals that cannot return to the wild due to their injuries. This area is worth a trip or two.

This place is always such a great time.
My boys love it and they learn something new every time.
You must get a trash panda shirt.

This place is awesome. It's an animal sanctuary that is entirely held up on donations. It's a wonderful place for the animals, and it's awesome that there is a place for people with a tight budget to check out. I love it here, especially the wild cats and tortoises!

This is an inexpensive family friendly activity. You can view many birds, alligators, deer, skunks, turtles, bear, and more. We really enjoyed feeding the turtles in the turtle pond. Most of the animals are rescued from the area. This is not a full zoo. It is well shaded. There is no cost to get in, but donations are accepted/encouraged. We spent about 2 hrs here.

This was a neat sanctuary with a good variety of animals. Paths were clear and it only is donations to visit. Wish the visitors center and gift shop were open the day we came by.

Nice park with good admenitys. Walking area good with plenty of unspoiled sights to see ,.....good place to bring the kids

great place to take the kids! Very helpful with injured animals. We found a Pelican on the side of the road and took it here for them to nurture it back to health

If you want to learn about the wild critters that live in FL, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary does a great job. The place is clean, well run and informative. (Make sure you attend on of the free orientation sessions, the 20-30 minutes go by quickly.)
The only not so pleasing part is when you go to the "lakes" on the wilderness trail and see they are the cleaning ponds for the water treatment plant...(you may also get a whiff while listening to the orientation lecture.)

i died on yes pok iand didd like tghe animals very cute love yes my daughter liked it and was very fun good yes time

A great place to meet up for an afternoon visiting a sanctuary that house Florida native rehabilitated animals that have sustained injuries preventing them from being released. These pictures are just a few of the inhabitants.
At 3 pm we went to the amphitheater to hear young sanctuary students discuss an animal that lives here.
Its donation based entry. Lots of great work goes on here. They have a nice gift shop...think Christmas or birthday gifts.
Masks 😷 required.

As a Jupiter resident I visit the sanctuary often. It is free, but donations are appreciated. You can see many different animals and volunteers are always around and answer questions. It is educational and fun for every age. Bush Wildlife is always available to help insured local animals in need. I recommend to all my family and friends to visit the Wildlife Sanctuary. You may also find a unique gift in their little gift store.

Lots of local wild life in a very nice setting...also rehabilitates wildlife for later release when possible.

Awesome place my kids loved it!!!! Definitely will come again!!! Don't forget to leave a donation of u can!!!

Fun, Interactive place for Animal Lovers. Make a donations and you can peruse the property to see bears, skunks, bald eagles & otters!

An enchanted tropical forest of Florida wildlife. Winding wood chip trails take you past deer, panthers, bears, bobcats, foxes and many other animals and birds. We have been taking trips through the preserve for over twenty years! Always amazed!

Busch Wildlife is a wonderful place to visit some local and a not so local wildlife, Most of the animals have an interesting story behind them. Busch Wildlife has done an amazing job rehabilitating injured animals. BW is a fun place to take your children as well as the whole family. Once you go to this great little sanctuary, you'll find yourself going back again and again.
There is no charge but donations are deeply appreciated. There are different locations where you can leave something to help Busch Wildlife continue to care for the less fortunate animals that find their way there.

Stopped by to see the turtles and learn about their habits, what they eat, nesting, etc. Very informative. We saw several sea turtles that were recuperating from various types of injuries and illnesses. There is a small museum, a nice gift shop and the outdoor pools where they house the recuperating turtles. Learned quite a bit about the various types of sea turtles. If you love turtles, and have an interest in their habits and how you can help support this sanctuary, then by all means, pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed!!

Almost every native Florida animal is represented in this sanctuary. Some are prepared for release, but others are permanent residents due to injuries. Staff is friendly and helpful. Animals are spread throughout native vegetation and there are walking trails. There are different shows each day at different times. There is a nice picnic area, but no food available on site. Also, thee is a very extensive gift shop.

Fell into this place thru the internet and was pleasantly surprised. Not huge, trying hard to do their best and serve animals. Some are rehabilitated and released and others ane not that lucky, but remain there. I felt a little bad for some of the inhabitants and their enclosures, but this is not a zoo, it is a Sanctuary. Very different. Don't go expecting it to be a zoo. And the people wandering around who volunteer are very happy to tell you the animals' stories. Ane the alligator was an added bonus. There is a nice place outside to eat so bring a picnic.

This is a nice place to spend an hour or so just off I-95. It is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Certain times of the week are dedicated to special activities. Well animals are released, some never leave the sanctuary/preserve. The trails lead through a wooded area where you can see everything from snakes to bears and Florida panthers.

Great place to spend an hour or so. Very well laid out with boardwalks and nature trails. This is a chance to see animals that have been rescued but are unable to return to the wild because of their injuries. No admission but donations are greatly appreciated

Recently brought my 5 year old nephew for a visit. After a few steps, realized flips flops not the best foot gear for him so we put on his sneakers. Exhibits are great and we truly enjoyed walking through this sanctuary and seeing all of the amazing animals. He had never seen bears before so that was a highight, but he also really enjoyed the colorful birds. Despite the heat and humidity, the sun was not blazing on us and it was pretty pleasant for FL in the summer. Be generous with your donations -- this is a great place for both kids and adults.

I dare say that this is a lovely one-stop location for a zoo and an animal rehab center. If you are looking for something fun, exciting, nature and animal-loving centered, then you definitely want to add this to your list of places to visit while you are in Jupiter. It's tucked away, yet in the heart of everything. It's right off the I95, so if you have a little or a lot of time, make this a must-see for your entire family. There is so much to see and quite a variety of animals there, with the option for petting if you plan well and plan ahead! My family, including grandparents, middle-aged parents, and young children, absolutely enjoyed this excursion.

Great for the kids and people who what to see real wild life.. great layout and plenty of room. Parking and access is very easy

What an Amazing Place , They do such a wonderful job with all the Animals And The Florida Panthers Were Beautiful, They Take Donation, so please donate

We visit here frequently. It keeps getting bigger and better with every visit. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. My 7 year old especially likes the birds of prey and the bears. You can feed the turtles! Free admission but we always leave a nice donation.

Came to the sanctuary to see all the animals, Beautiful place to explore and surprised
they had really nice walking trails.
Would definitely go again with family & friends. Love the birds, bears, cougars, snakes, etc.
You can bring a picnic lunch and eat there.
Highly recommend going with children, family and friends.

We just recently visited this place and I would not recommend going by any means. The staff we’re completely rude right from the start. They acted as if any questions we had were an inconvenience. They yelled at my 2 year old multiple times because she was making animal sounds and it was inappropriate. I will never go here again.

This place is a hidden gem for a fun and very educational afternoon! Takes donations only and all funds go directly to the rehabilitation of animals that were injured (or other reasons) and can not survive back in the wild.

Our grandchild loves coming to see all the animals here. It is always a fun outing for us all.
Paths are stroller friendly and there are picnic tables to enjoy. Educationally informative, or just relaxing. Free to visit , donations are welcome and much appreciated.

Busch Wildlife Center is a great place to go to see and learn about the wild life that lives in Florida. They take in abandoned, sick or hurt wildlife and nurse them back to health with the hope of returning them to their natural habitat.

quite the variety of animals for kids to see up close. good signage and educational information throughout the sanctuary. great for kids, even young ones 1.5-2 yrs old to walk around. best part is that it is donation only.
Free wildlife attractiin
This is a local attraction which allows one to see a variety of animals at no cost (though donations are appreciated). The sanctuary is placed in a natural setting amongst lush vegetation and next to a mangrove/swamp area. There are some interesting animals which can be seen including panthers, owls, turkeys, gators and snakes. They have some educational shows during which the animals can be touched/petted. It only takes about 1-2 hours to see everything. There is a nice gift shop there as well.
