Best Butterfly Experience

By Gordon R |

My wife and I have been to many butterfly houses and gardens. Butterfly World is by far the best experience. Kids and adults will have a ball and learn about nature. It is pricey, but worth it.

Wonderful place to relax

By nursebec |

Such a sweet, relaxing, magical place. The layout of the exhibits was easily accessible and didn’t take long to see all that was offered. The butterfly and bird areas were so enjoyable. We just didn’t feel as though the $35 admission price was justified for such a “small” place but considered it a donation to a worthy cause.

Butterfly experience!!!!

By Marisabel R |

My daughter loved it!!! .....ans a happy child... Even happier parents. Great place! Totally worth going.

Enjoyable

By Jaye B |

Would like to say a big thank you to Ryan Small for making our visit to butterfly world a very , informative, fun, and enjoyable experience, both for the children and us adults, everyone was catered for , and despite the shortage of butterflies this particular day, Ryan certainly made up for this in entertainment value, as we all left happier than when we came in.

A Tropical Paradise

By FloridaTraveler503 |

Amazing experience! The butterflies are stunning, the tropical gardens are lush, and the birds are like none that I have ever seen. So beautiful! All of the employees were extremely friendly. The gardens are meticulously maintained. It really felt like we were in a tropical paradise! We will definitely visit again.

Fantastic Experience

By Ohewett |

We took our young children (3 and 5) in Feb. It's such a calming experience to walk through the habitat with butterflies flying everywhere and classical music playing in the background. My children loved spotting different species of butterflies and were thrilled when one landed on them. We also paid to feed the Lorikeets, which my children were slightly scared of but also very intrigued (the adults loved it!). The cafe is small and doesn't offer much (pre-packaged food) but the staff who worked there was awesome (thanks Amani!). He was super accommodating to our family (our daughter has a food allergy). The gift shop has a lot of souvenirs. There is also a nice playground and great place for a picnic.

It's a Cool Place

By Jerry B |

Hundreds of butterflies all over the place. Plus 2 aviaries. And this weekend its $10 to get in, a substantial savings. Butterflies would land on people. Great photo ops. People with very expensive cameras were there. Just a very cool experience especially for the kids.

While away a few hours for lots of $$

By Name81 |

It is a nice place to while away a couple of hours. Certainly interesting butterfly’s and perhaps more so if you have never travelled to see them in natural habitat. VERY expensive and so I suggest you decide how you want to spend your money before paying to get in here.

Don’t Miss This Experience

By Mrs. C |

My husband and I visited Butterfly World today and I can’t begin to express how much we enjoyed the environment. Beautiful gardens, colorful butterflies, relaxing music throughout the displays, hand feeding the lorikeets and checking out all the unique iplants and wildlife was well worth the drive. Don’t miss the gift shop at the end of your visit… It displays a variety of unique gifts well within anyone’s budget.

very cool park along with tradewind...and japanese pagodas!

By Jamushi! |

you will love coming around here if you like butterflies.
alot of other interesting forms of wildlife along with it.

take yourself to a nice outing around and you'll have a good time!

Site of interest

By Alex Côté |

Admission is quite expensive for a family, the place is well maintained and it is interesting! In addition to butterflies, birds and plants are in the spotlight.

Wonderful!

By Amariarin |

The experience of entering the butterfly garden with many types of colorful butterflies around you is hallucinating! It worth every penny. I thought it was pricey but now I understand why. Don't miss the experience!

Worth a family trip.

By Valerie S |

Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, especially for children. To see and interact with the many variety of butterflies, the gardens, flowers and animals definitely worth the money. Interestingly, you can also buy plants and trees for your garden, at a good price.

Noah's first visit

By Vuhdayle7 |

I brought my son Noah to butterfly world and the experience was amazing my son screamed at the butterflies the whole time, but he warmed up to the birds he even held one. I will recommend butterfly world to as many people as possible. Excellent experience!

Wonderful

By Ronni S |

I've been going there every year with my daughter and granddaughter when we come to Florida. It's just so calming and beautiful. My granddaughter can spend hours in the butterfly section and then it's on to feed the lorikeets and check out the birds. Our visit to Florida wouldn't be complete without coming here!

A little pricey but great for the family.

By Davidkul |

Very well spent 2 hours. Entertaining for myself, my son and 3 year old granddaughter. Friendly staff, clean surroundings and a nice relaxing stroll through some beautiful gardens. Highlight was my granddaughter feeding the lorikeets. Restaurant had a decent selection of food for this type of attraction. Overall a little pricey but still worth the trip.

Beautiful but hard to get around

By akurtz21 |

Good entertainment for the price. Took my two year old in a stroller which made it difficult to get around because of all the doors. Clean and takes about 90 minutes to see everything.

Exquisite

By Philip2009 |

Words cannot express the wonder of being surrounded by little flying creatures everywhere. Poetry in motion. Not sure there is anything like this anywhere. 1st time experience is an amazing memory. Hint: put your iPhone on slow-mo video for some extraordinary images.

So many butterflies!

By JessiAnn85 |

Butterfly isn’t huge for the cost but it’s a cool experience. It’s the perfect amount of time for kids. The butterfly sanctuary was my favorite. There are so many types of butterflies. It was definitely the highlight. As you continue through you’ll see birds and plants. You can feed lorikeets. Make sure to have some cash for the food.

Wonderful!

By Tanna W |

What a wonderful exhibition and experience! Tons of butterflies, able to feed birds, beautiful flowers, so peaceful. It was an amazing experience.

Love the flutterbys

By W4425SWstevenh |

The gardens are beautiful and butterflies are numerous. It is definitely worth the money to take in all the beauty. We enjoy trying to identify the butterflies and birds. Then the plants must be identified also. We want to plant a garden to attract more butterflies and this place is great help.

Butterfly World

By 387indy |

Beautiful gardens for our beautiful weather, its December and the temperature is 80 degrees. Its very relaxing with all the plants and butterflies. They have multiple butterfly enclosures, lots of displays and information on butterflies. I have bought more Milkweed seeds, and planted and shipped to relatives, than I have bought Tomato seeds. They also have bird aviaries. you can feed the Lorikeets.

Butterfly World is worth the drive!

By Paul Miller |

I have been to many Butterfly tourist thing to do both in the US and Latin America. Butterfly World was one of the best setup that will please adults and children of all ages. The variation of butterfly’s was not as great as other facilities. But it made up for it with a variety of birds. a moving bridge over a pond. The staff were all friendly and represented the nonprofit well. I understand the need for signs to educate the guests with such rules as do not collect dead butterflies or touch live ones, but the signage was overkill everywhere you turn.
Butterfly World is a valuable addition addition of things to do in Florida

Great Attraction

By Bruce L |

I’ve been to several Butterfly attractions and this is outstanding. More butterflies than I’ve seen in other places. There are beautiful birds in the aviaries. Examples of local plants and hybrids from local botanists. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

A pleasant afternoon

By CFeenstra |

Although pricey, this is a delightful place to spend an afternoon. LOTS of butterflies, fascinating flowers, pretty birds and a wonderful gift shop. It is clean, neat and very well done. You can even feed the bright green lorakeets.

Lovely place

By Mk31 |

This place never disappoints. The indoor and outdoor displays are gorgeous and well kept, there are plenty of florals, animals, butterflies, and natural beauty to look at, and it is simply a relaxing excursion. I feel fortunate to live close by.

Beautiful but very hot

By Irina K |

Great place for kids to learn about the nature and insects. A lot of different butterflies and rare plants. Also they have some spiders and scorpions.
There is not much indoors, therefore it's very hard to enjoy and take your time on a hot sunny day. Our kids became cranky very soon. The cafe is outside as well, so not many options to cool down.

Nice and informative

By Popiel62 |

Very pleasant place to stroll around surrounded by the beauty of the nature. In addition to just peaceful walk with some gentle classical music in a background, the place is very informative. Butterflies, exotic birds and plants... Almost two hours of a time well spent.

A Walk in Beauty

By Sharon S |

Butterfly World is beautiful, especially the birds. We also appreciated the bug and butterfly museum. The displays were impressive as well as the video capturing the development of a butterfly
Our only disappointment was the butterflies there weren't enough. Maybe they were hiding due to cold.

It's more than butterflies

By 243Furby |

Not only does Butterfly World have a very good collection of butterflies it also has a substantial bird aviary,a good collection of flowering plants and a bug zoo . The butterfly house and bird aviary are in separate buildings and are attractions by themselves. The flowering plant collection and bug zoo are just added bonuses. There is the mandatory gift shop which has a nice selection and a plant nursery with a variety of items for sale.

It is worth the trip to Coconut Creek just off the Florida Turnpike.

Love this place

By Caffeinatedinnd |

Highly recommend! Great staff, beautiful facility. The generations visited together, we all found something we loved.

Butterfly World with friends in March 2020

By Janet P |

It was beautiful. The area with the butterflies was small but had a lot of beautiful butterflies. The enclosed area for the birds was small.
It was ok but for the price of $32/each and then we got a Vet discount which brought the price to $26/each, it was a waste money.
I wouldnt go back for the price

Butterflies butterflies butterflies, birds, bugs & flowers!

By trip4kc |

Butterflies butterflies butterflies, birds, bugs & flowers! 1st set your GPS to avoid the toll road! We visited the park in August, so be sure to dress accordingly for the FL sun , don't forget comfortable shoes, & sunscreen. Bring an empty refillable water bottle to be able to refill at the water fountain, near the entrance. Bring your camera/phone fully charged & come enjoy the butterflies, flowers, feed the birds (bring xtra cash for nectar) & checkout the bugs. We spent a few hours there, taking pics, feeding birds & had the unique experience of hundreds, if not thousands of butterflies.

Wonderful to Be At

By glendq |

We went before our cruise and it was closed due to colder weather and the butterflies not being awake enough to enjoy.
They still let us use the washrooms and tell us about nearby places to go instead.
When we returned from our cruise we were able to visit and enjoy this lovely place.
Staff were amazingly friendly and polite. The place was clean and well kept and the butterflies and birds were plentiful and colourful - delightful.
My 2.5 year old granddaughter did really enjoy the visit as well as her mummy and us grandparents.
Thank you.

Blue Morphos!

By Teresa F |

Wonderful place, not crowded before noon.....birds, butterflies, and friendly people! Loved the zebra finches and Blue morphos butterflies!

Go in blooming season

By esm321 |

The grounds were beautiful and I'm sure even more so when the flowers are all in bloom. We really enjoyed the exhibit of the rainfall and all the butterflies. Our toddler was very entertained by them and kept watching all of the butterflies as they flew around him. I was able to get some awesome photos of butterflies - there are lots of photograph opportunities. We were able to snag a 50% off deal, otherwise, it is on the more expensive side. I do believe they have a deal to get a pass to visit several attractions, so that might be worth it.

Awesome Experience

By rrac8337 |

I would recommend Butterfly World to all - everyone should enjoy this experience - all ages. The butterflys are flying everywhere. Beautiful music is playing and there are seating areas throughout the area. They are wonderful to watch. Take videos and photos - it's amazing. Bring some $$ to feed the lorakeets that are housed in another area. This was a great treat. We really enjoyed the place and recommend that if you are in the area, you should go.

I you plan to go in a few months - go to their website and get on their email list. We received a great coupon for $10.00 off each ticket, plus you will be given the latest information about what's happenng.

Pleasant afternoon with the butterflies.

By Mrjason5 |

If you want a 90 minute relaxing experience, this is a good place to visit near Pompano Beach. You walk through a butterfly enclosure and can take pictures of the exotic varieties. They you can visit a bird enclosure. The highlight of the visit is feeding the Lorikeets' (think big parrots) who will eat nectar out of your hand if you buy a $2 cup. Our kids were grown, but its a good place for kids.

Butterflies Everywhere! Beautiful

By SUE H |

We were not disappointed with our return visit to this attraction. The butterflies were plentiful and the setting is still very nice. They were playing Christmas music throughout the butterfly section. We also enjoyed the birds. A great place for photography!

Great butterfly photo ops

By Roam822540 |

Expensive for an experience lasting an hour or two, but we saw lots of amazing butterflies. There are benches throughout, where you can feel surrounded by the butterflies. The is a building with mounted displays; fascinating.
I didn't walk through the bird enclosure; didn't need that experience.
The gift shop is full of butterfly-themed items.
I would consider this more of an adult activity, unless your child is really into nature.

Beautiful butterfly sanctuary

By livelife h |

This place was very nice nostalgic. Beautiful views with butterflies flying everywhere. Then they have a lorikeet section where you can have a bird land on your hand and eat nectar out of a cup. They also have a bug house and a cafe with a nice gift shop

LOVE this place. Surreal and Relaxing

By Debbie S |

Butterflies in their natural habitat as you walk amongst them. Just Beautiful, they land on you. Classical music plays as you enjoy this bit of nature. Also, a beautiful aviary house with unusual, lovely birds, that we would otherwise, never get to see.

Loved it

By John L |

Both me and my girlfriend loved it. This place is so relaxing and peaceful, Great for children and adults alike. The staff was so friendly and helpful ! I did see people touching the butterflies even though it clearly states Not To, So please pay attention.

greatly improved from years ago

By leo t |

this is so much better than it was years ago, expaned greatly to include the butterflies, exotic birds, plants, bugs, etc.
plan on spending some time here-IT IS WELL WORTHWHILE!
kids will love it
plenty of butterflies, also birds
well laid out walks, bridges
sort of expensive, so look for discount coupons on line

Butterfly World, Fl - A Beautiful and Educational Experience

By Anabella C |

Absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful experience for family, friends, a groups of any age. If you are looking for an experience with both education and beauty, this was perfect; the variety of butterflies and scenery displaying the wonder of Florida's flora and wildlife is incredible and enjoyable especially within the spring to summer months when most butterflies and other botanical wonders thieve. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful, peaceful and well thought out attraction.

By edecarmine |

Carefully planned exhibits accessible to all. Children and adults can enjoy the plantlife, the butterflies and the beautiful birds. Staff is readily available to answer any questions about the exhibits.

Beautiful place - but a bit pricey

By IBMer |

$25 apiece (after AAA discount) is a bit pricey, but the butterflys were great and the music was real music (classical) not the noise that passes as music almost everywhere else in the USA. I agree with one reviewer that the rose garden is underwhelming, about 5 plants - but the hanging, blooming vines and the other exhibits were nice. Everyone in our party from the 10 year old to the grand parents were pleased. We spent just short of two hours here.

2 hours of interest

By western u |

I think you have to pay for parking if you come here on the weekend. We got free parking on our Thursday visit. It seemed kind of expensive, $30 for an adult. They said the average stay was about 2 hours. We were close to that. If you want to just sit and watch the butterflies flying around, I think you could enjoy more than 2 hours here. For a $1 you can feed Lorikeets They had a neat bug and butterfly museum. I like the soft hymns playing in the background. This was a unique experience and I am glad we spent the money to come here. The gardens are nice.

We didn't buy anything at the gift shop, but they also have snacks stands too.

So many butterflies

By MelG8 |

We loved this experience. There were so many butterflies flying around us and they were lovely. We also were able to feed the laurakeets but if you don’t like birds landing on you, this may not be for you. The bugs were also cool in the bug zoo and my kids learned a lot throughout the day.

Be one with butterflies!

By MaryAWhite |

My sister and I visited. This was my 3rd visit and her first. We enjoyed it so much. There is no experience quite like being inside a butterfly habitat - the georgious creatures flit in front, over and around you. I was able to purchase pupas so I will release butterflies into my home garden.

Love Butterfly World. This visit the greenhouse

By Shellqueen2014 |

We have frequented often. It’s a great place peaceful, uplifting. Serene music as you wander among the butterflies. One time I wore lotion and attracted many butterflies - they landed on my legs. I was like the pied Piper with children wanting them to land on them. This trip windy cold day not good for visiting the exhibition but my goal to purchase butterfly plants. The manager of the greenhouse was available and I had great chat about butterfly gardening. He was very helpful. They offer classes once a month but I felt honored to get one on one attention.

Worth the high price

By Nomad |

Worth the high entrance fee. This place has a density of butterflies so impressive as to provide a unique experience not found in other butterfly enclosures. The path leads into other aviaries containing various exotic species of finches and canaries with displays of orchids and other plants. Another separate building had displays of both mounted rare insects as well as live captive species of insects in glass tanks. Chairs and benches in the aviaries allowed one to sit back and appreciate the solitude.

Nice park for walking, biking and kids

By Denise F |

Like to go there biking, nice to do a picnic at the lake. Beautiful, calm place. They also have a playground for kids.

Lovely place, super friendly staff

By Madhu K |

We went on a rainy day and the super friendly staff gave us a rain check. We were able to do another day when it was sunny to truly enjoy the butterflies and birds.

Escape to a Land of Butterflies!

By Danielle |

Where do I start?! In the beginning of the trail, there were a variety of butterflies that you don't see everyday. I loved the little birds (finches and parakeets) in their natural environment. The map they provide informs you of what you will see. Such a great place to bring your children as a mini family field trip! 😊

Natural beauty

By Jim M |

Lots and lots and lots of butterflies!!! The habitat and environment are very well maintained and beautiful. The gardens are full of amazing blooming plants and the aviaries are quite nice as well. Take a camera and allow 2-3 hours. you can do it in less time but you'll miss something. Speaking of which, don't miss the Bug Zoo located in the museum.
This is South Florida. It's hot. Stay hydrated. I don't think they allow outside food or drinks, but there are a couple of cafes. A couple more misters would be beneficial.
Butterfly World is a bit pricey but we were able to get discounted tickets. Also, this is located in Tradewinds Park which has an admission fee as well. I believe it was $3 for the car.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience and very well worth it.

Wow!!

By Bendenicked |

Such a beautiful, tranquil place! From the birds to the flowers to the butterflies (and ok, even the creepy crawlers), they were all amazing! Used up alot of memory on my camera for sure. Also a great disc golf course right outside. Even had an armadillo greet us on one tee!

2nd visit

By marko1Oldham |

Love to come here, butterflies are lovely, they even land on you for a kiss, quite expensive entry but all for a great cause, the butterflies, other birds on show etc.

Lots to see and enjoy

By Gloria H |

We had a very enjoyable visit. My two granddaughters(4 and 8) both had lots of fun seeing the butterflies, flowers, displays, feeding the birds and walking around. The grounds were well kept and lovely. They also had a lovely gift shop. The admission was a bit pricey but we did get a discount for AAA membership.

What a beautiful world!

By kurtzb |

What an amazing experience! Not only butterflies but birds and bugs! Truly enjoyed our visit.....would go again without question.

Relaxing Vacation

By S G |

My uncle treated us to this beautiful destination. The gardens provided pops of color and the butterflies were gorgeous. We encountered exotic birds and insects. This is a great place for adults, young and old.

Beautiful

By 262Blondy |

Went there twice with kids. A very pleasant visits. Beautiful butterflies and flowers. Good spots for pictures, take your cameras. Feeding parrots spot. A big fun with the kids, as the birds are eating from your hand. Small kiosk with refreshments. Nice shop with souvenirs. Outside there is a park and big playground for kids to play, plus picnic area and beautiful lake. We enjoyed.

So many butterflies

By Fran C |

Butterfly World is a magical place, chock full of butterflies and also many interesting birds. If you are in the Pompano Beach area it is well worth the visit. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and then sitting in the enclosure and watching the butterflies go about their business, even landing on us for brief moments. A tranquil experience. There are so many colors and varieties - you will be amazed. I also want to thank the person working the desk when we arrived - they were welcoming, friendly and helpful which enhanced our time there even more.

Best butterfly exhibit ever

By terriznp |

Walk among beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds! The exhibits are full of beautiful flowers and mosses. The entire place is afeast for the eyes and so well done.

Lovely

By Marti R |

Windy, rainy day but still lots of active butterflies and birds. Manager offered us a pass to come back. Since I am currently raising, rescuing monarchs, the lab area was interesting.

Colorful Picture Taking Abound

By Tony E |

A fascinating kid-friendly, family-oriented place to visit! Lots of butterfly, plant and flower, bird, and insect species on display to learn about and observe! Take lots of pictures and ask lots of questions. Very knowledgeable, friendly staff! Definitely on list to revisit.

Spectacular Butterfly Adventure

By Caribtraveler |

A must see if you remotely enjoy butterflies!!! Takes you to a new level of enjoyment!!! I initially thought it was a little pricey at entry $72.00 for 2 addults and 3 children 6, 4, & 1. But once through the doors it seemed as if it was a bargain! We were given a self guided tour map that easy to follow. They do offer group tours and listened in on a few. Informative and fun! The butterfly aviary was our girls favorite...butterflies flew all around you even landing on the girls! A mini rain forest, gardens, a vine maze, a swinging suspension bridge, and a hands on bird encounter with Lorikeets were other highlights!!! They have seeds, and live plants that attract butterflies for sale along with a moderately priced shop. Of course Grammy bought a few gifts! Did not try the cafe but looked busy. Woukd have lingered longer if only the kiddos could have lasted. Don’t miss this...we’ve been driving by this place for years and decided to check it out...sooooo happy we did!!! We’ll be back!!!

Unbelievably overpriced for what you get

By marion J |

This is so over hyped. It consists of fairly small enclosures with butterflies and even smaller ones with birds and that's about it. Oh and a bug room. Yet it charges almost 30$ entry. Totally unbelievable. There is more room dedicated to the gift shop than to the butterflies. My local town has a better butterfly display. We spent less than an hour . I highly recommend you go to the
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center instead. Amazing place. It is rescuing turtles and healing them before releasing them. ( Free but please consider leaving a donation as they do such good work.)

Pretty cool place for the kids to see

By Les K |

I took my wife and kids there. The butterfly area was nice. The kids loved feesing the birds. The bug museum was interesting but small. Overall it was a great time and would definetly do it again.

Butterfly Bliss

By AMMSoFL |

Extremely relaxing hour spent in the company of winged things.
I really enjoyed the immersive experience of the butterfly enclosure and the finch enclosure. I could feel my stress just roll off of me. It's a place to unwind.
Parts of the "world" were closed off, as expected in these times, but I could still feed the lorikeets, which I totally enjoyed.
Even though it is extremely hot here in south Florida in August, I was there in the morning and there are shady spots, and one display had a mister. (I would love more of those!) So, I was pretty comfortable during most of my hour+ visit.
During August, they are running a half-off admission special, and so I was lucky to take advantage of that while enjoying a bit of bliss.

Just Amazing!!!

By Darryl K |

If you love Butterfly's and Birds, this is a great place to stop in southern Florida. See 20,000 butterflies and spectacular gardens at the largest butterfly park in the world in Coconut Creek.

Beautiful magical place

By Catrice L |

So amazing love the atmosphere. Butterfly’s are amazing. And so many birds and bugs and beautiful plants an flowers. A little pricy. It the staff will give you a discount if you ask and they have coupons out that you can get a head of time as well. Loved it so much

Nice place to spend a couple of hours

By vince353 |

Great place to learn about butterflies & other insects. Lots to see in exhibits & around grounds. The staff was friendly. Gift shop had a great selection of merchandise. Would visit again in the fall/ winter.

A close encounter with fragile beauty

By TravelerFromStamford |

The thought of a thousand of butterflies moving without stopping all around you might be frightening for some, so if you are in that category, this is not the place for you. If you, however, like the butterflies, you will get tremendous pleasure just observing the non-stop movement of stunningly colored little creatures.

In addition to the butterflies, the exhibits also include a couple of the aviaries with small and colorful birds, and the nature walks. You should allocate between and hour and two for visiting the butterfly world.

Note that there are different types of ticket discounts, including AAA (15% off).

Definitely recommended.

great place for little children

By readingbeaver |

we went there for some beauty and rest and relaxation. It's a very low key place with plenty of benches and soft music playing. It is great for small children. It's fun to watch the butterflies fly over your heads. there are some beautiful birds and you can can pay extra to literally have the birds eat right out of your hands.

wonderful experience

By jdsharob |

I took my 17month & 6 month old granddaughters to butterfly world and they both loved it. They got up close and personal with both butterflies and birds. They even loved the reptiles. Even my husband and son-in-law loved it and they didn't want to go.
It is expensive but we felt it was worth the experience. Will be back next year.

More than just butterflies

By moontracker |

My boyfriend and I spent a romantic time with the butterflies and all the other animal attractions at Butterfly World. There were also lots of families and the kids seemed to be having a ball!

Pricey but different and young kid loved

By Lauren P |

Paid $77 with a discount for 3 of us. So it’s definitely not a cheap spot but understand that it’s a sanctuary and they have bills to pay to keep it going. We were there about hour and half and went through the butterfly place twice. So it’s not huge but really lovely to see all the different butterflies birds and bugs. My 4 year old loved it, especially the feeding the bird experience (that was an extra $2). Overall good given my kids age but must be interested in this type of stuff of I wouldn’t waste your time.

Peaceful Recharge

By Erin R |

I’ve been to Butterfly World several times with family and friends, but my latest trio was solo, right when it opened. It was an absolutely beautiful way to start my morning, as I arrived right when the opened. There were less than ten other visitors walking around, and I felt like I had the whole place to myself.
Being able to see the stages of caterpillars to moths and butterflies was a great into, and I was able to take my time reading through the information provided. Once I walked through several sets of doors, I was immersed in an amazing assortment of butterflies, so many sizes and colors it was incredible!
Hummingbirds, and other small birds fly freely, and the grounds house stunning flowers as well.
Everything is labeled, making it easy to identify everything you see. Next, was a bird aviary with striking birds farting around. There are so many unique flowers, it’s really a unique experience for visitors.
They have a bug Museum with examples of species from around the world, and a room filled with creepy crawlers that will kids will go crazy in!
The also have plants for sale, do butterfly workshops, have a snack bar, and a gift shop that’s got everything butterfly-related you could ever think of!
Classical music playing the entire time, I was able to enjoy a truly peaceful morning, and look forward to returning.

Fun activity

By Sharon F |

We visited over our vacation and it was a bit pricey, but the entire family enjoyed them self the staff was great and my teens and 5 year old all had a great time

Lovely butterfly's

By Laura G |

But expensive the birds were nice, it seemed like there were more butterflies last time i came.I brought my 87 year old father, and he was glad there were benches.

Beautiful Butterflies and Birds on a day too cool and windy for the beach.

By JDavis |

Butterfly World has colorful and interesting butterflies to walk among. There are many varieties of birds and plants, also. It was a beautiful way to spend our extra day before our cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. We needed a car to get there. The paths were easy to walk and people with walkers and baby carriages were also able to enjoy the most of the experience. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, but not too crowded to enjoy. It has educational displays, plants for sale and a nice gift shop. We had some individual pizzas that were mediocre from the limited food choices. I recommend this for families, friends, or individuals who enjoy being with butterflies and birds in enclosures. It was a very pleasant day in the 70’s with wind. It could get very hot there with the enclosed areas.

Photographer heaven

By Pat S |

I loved butterfly world. So much so I convinced my wife we should buy an annual pass even though we don’t live here.

We probably spent an hour or more in one section filled with butterflies surrounding us. Only to go to the next section where i spent another hour taking pictures of small birds that were literally just a few inches away. Let’s not forget the lorikeets and macaws!

Beatiful butterfy pavilion.

By lindamzard |

The butterfly pavilion was a beautiful place to visit and see butterflies. The insect room was well done as were the birds. The overall park isn't very large and you can go through the exhibits as many times as you want to. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I used my AAA membership card for a discount. Don't forget to ask for one when you buy your ticket.

Much more than butterflies (although there's lots of them, too)

By The Pidge |

Looking and feeling not unlike a pavilion at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park, the name "Butterfly World" is a bit misleading because there are also two aviaries, a lorikeet feeding area, insect exhibit, and many tropical gardens. Of course there are butterflies as well- probably more than you'll ever see in one place, licing in a stunning outdoor enclosure with elevated viewing areas, lagoons and waterfalls. It's comprehensive and impressive.

My only complaint is the price point- a little high considering a visit can't be stretched much beyond two hours, and many will likely have had their fill in less time. Still, this is not to be missed if you're a fan of any of what Butterfly World has to offer.

If you love butterflies, you'll love Butterfly Word!

By ButterflyLady68 |

After you park your car and start walking towards the building, you will be serenaded by beautiful music, which immediately puts you in a calming mood to enjoy the beauty you are about to see. I love their mission to preserve butterflies from all over the world. I love the fact that children can come and see the work being done in the lab without going into the lab via the full glass windowed wall as you stroll towards the aviaries. Everything is labeled, so you know what you are looking at through the window. Beside the butterflies, there is also a Hummingbird Aviary, an Insectarium, a Butterfly Museum, a Garden Center (to purchase plants) and other points of interest. This place is fantastic for a school trip as it combines education and interaction with live butterflies. My Mom lives about 7 miles away and every time I visit her, I always stop in the gift shop to buy something. The some of the items you can buy in the gift shop are jewelry, coffee mugs, plates, educational books, music cds, tote bags, clothing, tee shirts for adults and kids, aprons, butterfly displays under glass, kites and other assorted items. They even have a children's corner with lots of items that kids will love. With the exception of the tee shirts, I find the clothing to be pricey. The only draw-back is that if you visit on the weekend (Sat or Sun) you have to pay $1.50 at the gate to enter Tradewinds Park in order to get to Butterfly World. If you visit Mon - Fri, there is no gate fee.

Just wonderful

By joelsavitch |

Admission price is a bit steep but considering this is not a crowded attraction and they use the money to keep the place going, I would consider it fair. It is not a Disney World type of attraction but it is very beautiful and educational. There is some walking involved but not too much.

Typical butterfly enclosure

By SBRavens |

Definitely not “butterfly capital of the world”. This is not to say it was bad but it is hyped up. We enjoyed our time there, saw butterflies and a few birds - Australian Gouldian finch was beautiful- felt so hand painted! But I would try to get/wait for discounted tickets to visit

Sightseeing

By Judi S |

Lovely ambiance but very expensive there were thousands of butterflies flying all around us. There are coupons and discounts available don’t forget to use them

worth the trip and cost beautiful

By pacmanek |

Very nice place to visit and interesting, so nice and clean even though there are so many butterflies flying around, all the different sections with the birds etc were very interesting. Found it very interesting the safety precautions they have in place to all the different butterflies, birds etc stay in there own places. the grounds with the flowers very beautiful

Was a little disappointed.

By Susan M |

The birds and butterflies were beautiful. I just think it was a bit pricey. I would not go back because it was over $100 for three adults. You can probably walk through everything in one hour.

Disappointed ☹️

By jan c |

We love butterflies. However, we traveled 2 hours for a very average experience. If it were not for the discounted price I would have said “terrible”.
The people helping out were very nice.

Nice local attraction

By 7continents1972 |

Look for 2 for 1 deals, not worth full price. a little more investment in the place and they could generate much more traffic. Forget the cafe and have lunch elsewhere- completely microwaved!

Beautiful attraction

By Rolland C |

We went to the Butterfly World with the family and our grand kids. The place is amazing, butterflies fly around you as you walk through the outside exhibitions and they even land on your head, arm and shoulders. The kids loved it, they have thousands of variety, some are very rare and they have them. They also have an inside crawlers exhibition inside with some amazing species that come from all around the world.
Great place to visit with the family and friends.

Wonderfully wonderful!

By Alan Ira F |

Thousands of the most amazing butterflies, birds, and plants! I was entertained and educated. 2 hours of gentle and beautiful views and memories!

Butterfly World

By Benjamin K |

Butterfly world was a really relaxing experience for me. It was nice to relax with nature. You could sit on a bench and read a book, or just watch the butterflies fly around.

Very Disappointing

By Salty Mermaid 1 |

I have been to many Butterfly places (Cancun, Key West) and this Butterfly “WORLD” was extremely disappointing!! There is basically ONE enclosure for butterflies and ONE smaller enclosure for birds. My husband and I went around 11:30 am on a week day, so it wasn’t crowded at all and we spent about an hour and a half there. There was another building that you can go into that has insects and butterflies on the walls explaining them and the counties that they come from. Which was informative (liked that part). But this place was very small, so I don’t understand why they call it WORLD!? The one in Mexico should be called Butterfly “WORLD”, this should be called Butterfly “TOWN”! I will say it was very clean and well taken care of tho. But I would not waste my money and time on this considering it is approximately $30 per person!! They do give military and AAA discounts too tho.

Beautiful!

By Elisa D |

We enjoyed our visit so much! The aviaries each had something special--my favorite were the birds, especially the lorikeets! The attendant gave me a cup of nectar and I was able to feed three lorikeets at the same time. There is a warning sign to cover large moles because the birds might mistake them for seeds! I love nature sanctuaries and recommend this one highly!

Read reviews before visiting!

By Karen L |

I really enjoyed Butterfly World, complete with the serene music playing in the entrance, as you pass the flower beds. They have their butterfly sanctuary (my favorite part), as well as chrysalis viewing, a bug museum (my 7 year old's favorite part), a cool moving bridge (over water) to walk across, lorikeets to feed, some smaller birds to look at, a couple of large Macaws, a cafe, a garden center, and a nice gift shop. The "right kind" of person could spend all day here. They have benches you can sit on in the butterfly area, so one could theoretically bring a book, and sit with the butterflies all day. The "wrong kind" of person is going to be upset at the price ($55 for one adult and one child, as well as the $3 entrance fee for admittance to the parking area - and don't forget the $1 butterfly identification book the kids want), and walk through the entire place in 1/2 hour. The type of person who should Not visit is the one who lets their kids ignore the signs asking they please do not touch or pick up any of the butterflies. I witnessed two mothers stand by watching as their kids tried grabbing them out of bushes, scooping them out of the air, and pulling on their wings. If this is you, please consider taking your unguided children to the free playground across the parking lot, instead. All that said, it took us 1 hour to see everything to our satisfaction (including the gift shop). We have been to other butterfly sanctuaries that are much bigger. I am glad we visited this one. But unless I find time to grab a book, and sit on one of those benches, I don't feel the need to visit a second time.

Over-priced

By John S |

We were told when we entered that because the day was not sunn y and warm there may not be as much butterfly activity, and they were correct.
Around $35 per adult for entry was very steep when, even at a slow pace, you can walk the entire park in less than an hour, including when you stop and look at exhibits or watch the butterflies flitting around.

Excellent place dor a family

By Jfor87 |

We loved it. We went in the fall so the heat and humidity weren't an issue. But there are enclosed places with A/C in case you go in the hot months to cool off in between sections.
plenty of variety of birds, plants and butterflies.

I do have to say, we think it was good because we went in a 50% off original price promotion. Had we gone at full price I think I would have tought the experience is not worth 32 a pop

Wonderful relaxing place to visit with the whole family!

By FarAway06301169002 |

Wonderful place to visit great for the whole family! Beautiful butterflies and birds. Worth a visit!! Best time to visit is in the morning.

Beautiful Butterfly Exhibit!

By Lynette58 |

We enjoyed our afternoon at Butterfly World. It was very hot the day we went, so suffocating in our masks. The exhibits were great. So many beautiful butterflies and birds. I would highly recommend!

Totally worth going!

By Leily Santa |

Please go! This was the highlight of our trip. What an amazing and magical place. Side note, the cafeteria could use some improvement.

Amazing Time

By Beverly M |

We spent the morning here and we loved it. The butterflies were amazing. It was really neat to see all the birds and flowers as well. We would defiantly go there again.

Step into a tropical fantasy

By Lyric Clearwater |

Wow! Calling it Butterfly world doesn’t do justice to the beautiful botanical gardens and many species of tropical birds also on exhibit. To walk among the incredible varieties of butterflies and flowering plants and birds brings calmness and joy. So worth the visit! Save your food money for a nearby cafe or restaurant, though. Only a small choice of cheap burgers hot dogs and ice cream on the grounds.

Pricey, but neat experience

By Matt G |

This butterfly garden and aviary is huge and a fun experience. The price is steep for a one time visit, but the birds and butterflies are beautiful. Probably wouldn’t go back a second time but it’s a nice one time trip.

Great time

By Ginger L |

Just loved the butterflies and birds in there natural habitat. So beautiful with many benches to stop and sit and just watch and relax..the butterflies are beautiful.and the birds are equally beautiful.. a place for couples and families..will definitely be back..

Great place for everyone

By Arlance22 |

What a beautiful place. The many species of butterflies as well as the birds and tropical flowers. The lovely music was soothing as well. Lots to see and experience for all. Benches for resting.
My family and I became members since we love it so much.

Butterflies everywhere!

By Audrey A |

After 40+ years of living in the Fort Lauderdale area, and only being 10 minutes away, I finally made a trip to Butterfly World. The butterfly enclosure is amazing with butterflies flying right in front of you, and even landing on you. If you don't want them to land on you, definitely do not wear green. There was a little boy about 6 years old that wore a plain bright green shirt, and he wanted to take it off because there were several of them on him! The exotic floral garden was also nice with the one of a kind Jade Vine from the Philippines in bloom. They also have 2 giant staghorn ferns and many variety of birds, some that you can feed (if you buy the feed). However, I don't think it's worth the standard admission price of $29.95 for adults and $21.95 for children. I heard most people stating the same...so make sure you get a discounted rate.

Beautiful place!

By Keysgirl1223 |

This is a great place if you love nature, butterflies, photography. It’s a small facility packed with plenty to see. It’s a bit on the expensive side. The guided tours are informative.

Lovely

By deb372 |

Lovely place loads of butterflies . Bit pricey to get in but they have to keep the place warm and running all the time. Beautiful butterflies there

A great way to send a morning( before it gets to hot)

By Lavenderrose |

An enchanting place to go as an adult or with children. The butterflies fly freely and the sight is awesome. The Aviary Is really a fun place and great photo opportunity. If you are into photography grab your camera and be ready for great photo ops.
At the Park which butterfly world is located you can also find Disc Golf and an Equestrian Center. The Park is on both sides of the road so don’t miss all of it. More to do then just Butterfly world.

GOOD EXPERIENCE...GRAND KIDS LOVED IT!

By Dan A |

My five and three year old grand kids accompanied me to Butterfly World in August 2018, and we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The butterflies were incredibly varied in size and color, and watching them float around was a singular and joyous experience. Truly a must-see attraction!

Still amazing!

By Virginia V |

Second visit was hotter than the first but it's expected and if you know where to stand in the bug a/c building doable without melting, lol. Feedings the 🐦 is fun for everyone not afraid of birds. The Flora and fauna are enchanting and the gift shop has everything except hand fans.

Overpriced

By Giovanna |

When planning our visit to Butterfly World, we consulted the online website which made the attraction seem more magical and fantastical than it really was in person. Although seeing the butterflies in a fun experience, it took less than 10 minute to walk through the butterfly enclosure part. The tickets were extremely expensive for what it was. . This attraction is good for little children and has many different butterflies species, but is very underwhelming when compared to what is advertised online. The map of the park promises an "english rose garden" for example, but when walking through the park, this "english rose garden" is simply 2 roses on the side of a the walk way.

Magical

By EstiJed |

With two youngsters who love nature this was a wonderful way to spend a day learning about butterflies and enjoying their unique beauty.
As with so many similar venues, food service leaves something to be desired, but bring your own snacks and get away from the usual commercial hustle and bustle of south Florida.
Highly recommended!

T&T_Tripadvisor Review_Diaz_2018

By Jasmine D |

I recently went to butterfly world with my mom and my sister only Thursday afternoon. It was easy to find and parking was not difficult to access. When we went, There were school buses by the front that took kids from summer camps there because it’s a great place for kids to be entertained and learn. When you enter your graded by friendly staff that tell you where you are going to want to go and you can also buy a book with all the different biotic creatures that can be found. A wide variety of butterflies can be seen along with flowers of all colors and sizes. Many birds can also be seen and some can even be held and fed. Tours can also be bought to be given a more in depth explication of the different birds flowers and of course butterflies. The exhibit is a little overpriced considering you won’t stay there for that long. The experience was very educational. The Souvenir shop was not half bad. It also was very clean and had good maintenance. I recommend bringing water but there is a little cafe inside as well as bathrooms. Butterfly world is great for all ages and is definitely a must see when visiting South Florida

Natural Beauty

By Joann Q |

This is an amazing experience for adults and children alike. One cannot help but be amazed by the brilliant colours and beauty of the butterflies here as well as the ability to see their various stages of development. I highly recommend this site to anyone interested in understanding nature in a open setting.

Must visit while in Florida!!

By nattyfran |

This was one of the highlights of the trip! Would recommend for all ages. Lots to see on the self guided tour. This was the best butterfly conservatory we've ever been to and will definitely go back if in Florida!!

Only worth admission price if you get a discount

By TruckDriverMom |

Butterfly World is a fun to go to but NOT WORTH FULL TICKET PRICE. If you can get a discount on admission, than it's worth the visit. They have slow-summer month special admission prices which can bring the entry fee down to $15 adult/$10 kid (July specials) or $10 a person fee for group rates (need at least 15 people). It's an okay attraction but nothing amazing, and certainly worth full ticket prices.

OK Visit

By FSR2003 |

The visit was OK, not all that much to see. They recommend 3 hours minimum to see the gardens, butterflies, etc... We took our time slowly walking through and taking pictures and we were done in under 2 hours. There was nothing more to see. For the price of admission it was a bit disappointing. It is not at all set up for visitors on a rainy day. You'll get wet for sure. Bring a rain coat and umbrella just in case. It was something different to do since South Florida is severely lacking in parks/attractions to see. Seems like all the decent parks and attractions are clustered in central Florida (Sadly). South Florida is an awesome area but falls short in things to do outside of the beaches and night life (clubs/bars).

amazing butterfly.

By lalocadr19 |

Went here here, the park has different exhibition within the park, butterfly exhibition, bird, flowers, plants for sale, souvenir shop. The price to enter for adult $31.75 and park does offer veteran discount. Beautiful butterfly flying around it a amazing sight to see. Park does have bathroom, and cafe for food purchased.

Must Visit for Butterfly Fans

By jwdonten |

We enjoyed our visit to Butterfly World. We have been to a few other facilities and this one by far has been the best. The diverse variety of species and the number of butterflies was amazing. They advertise 20,000 on exhibit at any time and while there was no way to count them, it sure felt like that and more! If you enjoy butterflies or tropical birds, I highly recommend giving them a visit.

Worth a visit!

By Nicolle246 |

I loved it, a lot of varieties of butterflies and birds, plant life was also beautiful. Cool place for adults too!

You pay for beauty

By joanzone |

I liked this place but it is a bit pricey. The parking is odd as they charge for each person in your car, I have never seen that before, not a fortune but you still have to pay to get into the attraction. The plants and butterflies are beautiful. It is not a huge area but they made very good use of the space. The gift shop is ridiculous, $60 for a t-shirt and it looked like most of the items came from China. They have many of the plants and trees for sale and I think the prices were good on these. If I lived in Florida I would have loved to buy some of these amazing plants.

Wonderful display of butterflies, birds and butterfly attracting plants

By R H |

There are about 10,000 butterflies in the butterfly enclosure and also a number of exotic bird species in the bird enclosure. You also can look through a window into the lab where they are carrying for the insects as they go through their metamorphous. They also have a nice gift shop with lots of items for adults and children. You may be particularly interested in buying one of the little plastic jars containing a cocoon.

Fabulous Butterfly Experience

By jan h |

Wonderful experience...THousands of beautiful butterflys and LOTS of Interesting Birds. My grandson LOVED it. WOrth the price.

So much fun!! A must do!!

By FloridaLife87 |

This place exceeded all of our expectations. The most butterflies I have ever seen.! The insect displays and zoo were both amazing. They even had many birds that were beautiful. The plants and vines there are too many to name. Definitely a must do.

Great Experience.

By Nspectr |

I have visited Butterfly world on two occasions, with visitors from Canada. Being a snowbird myself, I found this to be very interesting to watch the way butterflies are born and also all of the exotic kinds, colours and sizes of these beautiful creatures. Other than the butterflies, they have a number of exotic birds on site and in one building you can actually stand there and they will land on you to feed a nectar available. Hundreds of flowering plants and bushes on the premises everywhere with plaques explaining all. My only negative on this site is the cost for the visit.

Peaceful beauty

By dej |

Visited here for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was crowded due to Christmas holidays. I think the price is a little high for the park. Alhought they do honor military vets with a nice discount. It only took us about 1 1/2 hours to tour the facility. The butterflies are so pretty and they have real chrysalis to purchase. Nice place to take the family.

Amazing!!!!

By Shu Ke W |

Really good exhibition. Amazing place to take kids to learn about butterflies and a fun treat for all the family. I was encouraged by the beautiful nature.

Beautiful butterflies

By Joel S |

Beautiful butterflies and birds; pleasant background music and settings. Ample parking. But completed the tour, unrushed, in 90", and then felt that perhaps there should have been more offered, given the entrance price.

Magical afternoon

By Joan Katz |

Beautiful. Adults enjoyed even more than the child. Butterflies, birds, well labeled gardens. Very wheelchair accessible. Well worth the hefty entrance fee.

Not a bad afternoon,

By Gary Butler |

This was a place I really wanted to visit, a bit pricey so we waited for our daughter to come over as a treat. I wasn’t disappointed however I also wasn’t overwhelmed. It was great to see a verity of butterfly’s I but would have like to know which ones I was seeing. The birds in the aviaries all labelled up with photos to identify, the butterfly’s? Perhaps I missed it, otherwise very nice. Worth the money... not so sure.

Great place but, sorry, too expensive

By Joe B |

I really did not want to give this rating to Butterfly World because it is very interesting and everyone that works there is very nice. However, the admission price should be half of what it is ($35 per adult). All of the 4 and 5 star reviews you will read are true. The butterfly pavilion, bird aviaries, and bug museum are interesting for all ages. But, for whatever reason, after spending about an hour there, you just feel like $70 is a too much. I could be wrong, that's just my opinion...

nature day

By Kathleen P |

excellent peaceful afternoon
wonderful education facility. besides magnificent butterflies , there is a bird section with the happiest parakeets i have ever seen as they are free to fly

Incredible

By Dr_Kello |

If you are remotely appreciative of natural beauty, Butterfly World is the place for you. We’ve been to other butterfly gardens, but this is the absolute best.

The layout is perfect. You start at the hatching area and then enter the garden. Unbelievable! There are so many different butterflies you have to really take your time to see them all. You will no doubt circle back and observe them again!

There is much more than butterflies here. There are exotic plants and birds all laid out in a beautiful setting. If you have questions, there are plenty of folks to answer those questions. Florida isn’t all beaches.

Butterflys

By Terry T |

Lots of Butterfly’s and fauna.Worthwhile to visit for all ages.Well ran by the staff.Take your time and enjoy the beauty.

Phenomenal Photography Opportunity

By Sandy K |

We love seeing the butterflies and feeding lorikeets. It is best to go when the weather is comfortable so you can really appreciate the experience.

Disappointed

By George sultan |

First of all, overpriced,I agree with previous comments I have seen.the whole setup feels as if making money is the prime aim of this organization.the live insect area had no air conditioning and insects on display were not impressive.the feeding of the birds was also not well organized.the only area which I liked was the butterfly area, but not worth the cost to see that.I would not recommend this place for kids

Enjoyable afternoon

By EL646 |

What a unique experience. Really enjoyed looking at all the varieties of butterflies and birds. Not crowded, and relaxing.

Worth every penny & more

By emmashaw73 |

I spent nearly 3 hours here. I would suggest if u have little interest in butterflies or birds then don’t bother as some negative reviews on here were clearly not in the right place for them. I however found it amazing. A huge array of butterflies to immerse yourself in and plenty of little birds to watch out for. The bug house was great with live exhibits and info on World butterflies. The shop is interestingly stocked and the staff fabulously friendly. I went round the entire thing twice and spotted something different the second time around.

Butterflies butterflies every where...exceeded my expectations!

By Clair B |

You enter the butterfly area and it is quite large and on a sunny afternoon it was swarming with beautiful varied species of butterflies in a dome full of flowers, a cave with mist, banana feeders that attracted some big butterflies, and one hummingbird.
On to see an aviary with gorgeous little birds, a bug house/museum, lorikeet feeding for an extra charge, a nursery of butterfly attracting plants, and an area where butterflies are raised. Pretty, interesting, and fun! The movie on the life cycle of the monarch was particularly interesting.

Relaxing and Educational

By JoyceM411 |

This is a nature center with hundreds of live butterflies, birds and species of flowers, as well as educational displays of every imaginable insect in the world and working laboratories. It is easy to get to and very interesting, whether you are interested in learning the names of the animals and plants or not. Kids love it!

Worthwhile but find a coupon for admission

By jpete02 |

Beautiful and large butterfly gardens with many different and unique species that you won’t find anywhere else. Great picture taking opportunities of the butterflies against the natural rain forest foliage. There is also a small bug exhibit, an aviary with birds, and an orchid garden.

Takes about 1-2 hours to see it all. Butterfly World is located in the back of a county park off Sample Rd. Near the Florida Turnpike.

Biggest complaint is the admission price for what is no more than a half day activity. $32.50/adult and $22.50/child is just way too much for a family of four. There does appear to be many discount coupons floating around for this attraction and they did have a 50% off admission price while we were visiting before Thanksgiving. The 50% off made this a worthwhile visit for my family of four.

Highly recommend spending the extra $1 and getting the booklet, which lists all the butterflies, birds, and plants in the park.

Amazing Butterflies!

By Mary T |

My husband and I loved visiting Butterfly World. The Park was well-kept and the staff was friendly! Mostly, though, the butterflies were beautiful and fluttered all around us. Even the birds cooperated for photo taking. The floral exhibits were colorful and educational. Overall, it was well worth the price of admission as we left inspired by the natural habitat created by Butterfly World.

Nice but pricey

By atcretired |

We have been to a couple of butterfly gardens and each has their own specialty. This location was nice but we have been to others that knocked our socks off (Key West, Fl). I thought the admission was a little high, but you don’t know the value till you enter. Some of the outdoor gardens were a tad run down, but that’s my personal opinion.

Great place

By Carlos C |

Great place, lots of species to see.
Lots of peruvian butterflies (im peruvian 😁)
It made me change my mind, really impressed

Large collection

By Derek W |

The collection was one of the largest we have seen. The were fewer varieties than we have seen elsewhere and probably due to the outdoor nature of the collection as opposed to others such as Scottsdale AZ, the butterflies are very active which makes photography more challenging. At $29 it is somewhat expensive in addition to the $2 entrance fee

Expensive, but fun one time experience!

By Libby M |

Beautiful to see all those butterflies flying around us! I didn’t think It was quite worth the price. There were also birds and a bug exhibit. We got thru the whole thing in about an hour. My son is just under 2 and he did enjoy It . I would say It was worth seeing, but I wouldn’t go again!

We went back... and it was still as good three years later!

By Victoria O |

Our first visit here had been awesome (3 yrs previous) and our second visit didn't disappoint. Armed with a macro lense we spent hours wondering the gardens amid hundreds/ thousands (?!?) of beautiful butterflies. The areas are well maintained and there are so many gasps of wonder as people walk around. You can buy a guide to help you identify them and the bird areas are also amazing. We will keep coming back!

Neat place, a little pricey

By Susan S |

Took our 80 year old mom's to this attraction. They thoroughly enjoyed the butterflies. There were literally hundreds of them flying throughout the exhibit. Some even landed on us. The staff has their hands full reminding unsupervised children to not chase the butterflies. There are also a bunch of beautiful vibrantly colored birds. The rest of the grounds were nice. It is a very clean attraction. There was a fee to enter the park in addition to the world fee.

Wonderful day out - highly recommended

By hrhpow2008 |

What a fantastic place. The Butterfly house is brilliant with so many different species to see. The staff were very friendly and the cafe and shop were excellent. Allow a couple of hours for a visit.

Beautiful and relaxing

By well-heeled580 |

Butterfly world was such an amazing place to visit. There are atriums full of butterflies flying everywhere and landing on people. We really enjoyed the classical music that was playing throughout the exhibits. There were plenty of benches throughout the park including the atrium areas. There are interesting areas for younger children to enjoy like the Lorakeet feeding area and an area where you can watch butterflies emerge from their cocoons. When it gets too hot, there is an air conditioned butterfly and bug museum to explore. I really enjoyed the gift shop and the plant nursery where they sell plants that attract butterflies to your garden.

Pleasant and informative exhibits!

By Maria_Divina_8888 |

It was nice to take pictures of the butterflies landing on our arms (and my head) as well as feeding the birds. Pleasant experience!

Highlight of my holiday

By Gmittens |

What a beautiful place this is, from the moment you leave the car park and enter the building you are surrounded by lovely music, gorgeous photos of butterflies, and a warm welcome from the staff explaining all you need to know to enjoy your visit. I love all things to do with butterflies, but what surprised me was how much my husband enjoyed the day too. The walkway through the enclosure containing the butterflies flying wild was wonderful and the gardens are well laid out. There is a wealth of information on how to encourage butterflies into your garden, and at the end there is a delightful gift shop selling all manner of goodies.

A little overpriced but brings back childhood memories

By rose w |

I used to go here all the time as a kid. It’s a great way to spend a day with the animals and see hummingbirds, parakeets, and butterflies. It’s a lot more expensive than it used to be but still a lot of fun.

We enjoyed it all

By nowzer |

Enjoyed the butterflies, orchids and birds. Great experience, staff was friendly. Only negative, it is a bit pricey but you can stay as long as you want. Nice gift shop.

4 stars

By CrazFox |

We were disappointed as the $1 guide showed the 7 species of hummingbirds they have, they only have one hummingbird now.
However, the butterflies, birds, flora and fauna were wonderful.
Attached are just a few of the great pics we captured.
The parakeets were an unexpected bonus too!

Enchanting experience

By daniel v |

This was an amazing experience? It sounds underwhelming to see a bunch of butterflies, but there is something captivating about walking into the artificial rainforest and seeing thousands of butterflies of all sizes and colors. My family spent over an hour walking slowly through the rainforest, looking at all the butterflies and being so excited to have one land on you. Beyond the butterflies, there are several fish and reptiles on display that it feels like a small zoo. This is a great place to visit as a family or as a couple.

Great place for kids! Beautiful!

By DaisyMayJ |

We recently went to Butterfly World to find something to do on a cooler day. So glad we found this place! My daughter loved it, especially the Lorikeets! There is so much to see here! Butterflies didn’t really start “waking up” until after 10am so I would recommend not going early in the morning.

Policies and cost....

By Kjetil O |

They close at 17. We arrived at 16, planning for an hour, since we knew it was small. At the counter we were told most of the park close 1630, which was an annoying surprise in itself, since it is a 30 second walk from the far end to the exit. 1615 we where told to leave the park and enter the indoor exibit and gift shop due to nearby thunder. We heard a cople the next few minutes, pretty far away, but after that we were not allowed into to park again, even if we still had 30 min left. They told us they needed to close due to regulations. Strange, since other parks only close the tallest outdoor rides and towers...
They denied any refunds, but offered free admission another day, which was worthless to us since we where leaving Florida the same day.
That said, nice butterflies, but it looked more in the hundreds and hundreds than the promised thousands and thousands... 110 usd for a family of four for 15 minutes was obviously not worth it.

What to do in Ft Lauderdale

By Steve M |

Spent a very pleasant four hours at this beautiful place. Very well laid out and easy to walk around place. Not so big as to be tiring to walk round, but big enough to amply display not only butterflies, but birds as well, including some where you can interact feeding them for a $1. There are very impressive cased displays of butterflies insects from all over the world. Cafe on site with very reasonable prices for basic food and drink.

amazing!

By gwennc728 |

haven't been here in seven years, and while i enjoyed it then, i can't tell you how great this new experience. was. so many new things have been added, as well as a large expansion. the birds were fun, and you can feed them, the most butterflies i've ever seen here at one time. i really liked the research facility that you can look in, and see the crysalises, and butterflies emerging, there are two lunch, and snack stands if you want to take a break, have something to eat, and rest, ample seating is available.everyone who works here is pleasant, and knowledgeable. such a great way to spend the day, for families, couples,of all ages. they have a great gift shop with beautiful, and unique items. it is rather expensive, but it is an all day affair. plant shop on premises to buy your butterfly attracting plants, and the bug house is not to be missed. lots of parking, clean bathrooms, this is a must do!

Whimsical time

By ValLiberman |

Our family of 4 (11 year old boy and 7 year old girl) just returned from our visit with the butterflies. Great clean place with beautifully lush vegetation and colorful inhabitants. Totally worth it with the deal on Groupon.

Have to see

By SunshineLady93 |

Oh my gosh, we are going home in 2 days and don’t have time to see the garden. We ran into a couple who said it is worth seeing and spending time there. They said the butterflies are amazing and the colors so vibrant. The whole setting lovely.

It is the first thing we are going to do when we return. We are going home and try to set up a butterfly attracting garden before our next so fla visit.

Enjoyable day

By Monica P |

I had a very enjoyable day and butterflies walking into the different aviaries for the butterflies and the birds if you wanted to feed the birds that’s in a separate area that’s two dollars they had other museum areas insects and the live exhibits with the frogs snakes and spiders they have a separate area explaining about the butterflies and habits they also had class places where you saw the butterflies in their cocoons and at different stages some of them were already developed in breaking out of the cocoons so all in all it’s a definite good place to visit

Butterfly World

By 387indy |

Butterfly Word is located in Tradwinds Park, they have many exhibits and articles about butterflys. Its the time of year to see butterflys. The exhibit is well maintained, they have lots of parking available.

Great with Discount Entry

By Amy R |

If paying $30 each this would be a disappointment. With a BOGOF entry this is good value and the gardens are beautiful.

We spent about 3 hours and enjoyed the hospitality of staff who answered questions in the lorikeet feeding area and the butterfly area.

There are not good food options here so eat first or bring something.

A Magical Place

By Rena S |

Butterfly World is costly but worth it! Strolling among the butterflies is so peaceful and ethereal. We are truly guests in their world. In addition, feeding the parrots, seeing the bug varieties, and walking around the beautiful grounds is a lovely way to send a few hours. It is truly enjoyable for children from aged 3-103.

To Expensive Not Worth It

By Floridalife |

$29.95 per adult
$21.95 children
Most time spent 1 hour. All outside in metal Avery way hot and no humming birds. Way expensive horrible snack food and staff fake. Butterflies are nice but only saw 10 if that types that makes the 1000s they advertise. Not worth it. Key west , Fairchild exhibits worth money.

Walking into Wonderland

By kby2k |

Always one of the best experiences for all. Complete awesome world to see. Tours or self exploration - total peace and wonderment. Just enjoy!

Butterfly sanctuary

Good tour guide. Very interesting, informative, and beautiful place.
Loved it! Public bus will take you there.

Butterfly world is a nice place. 🦋

By Justin R |

Located off of the turnpike @sample road.... location is easy to get to from anywhere. There are always coupons floating around so make sure to check around ... fun for the whole family.... peaceful and tranquil if you happen to get a day with no schools / day off / etc. if not , it gets a little rowdy some spots. Shoot across the street to trade winds park for a picnic. Playground. And a farm.

Beautiful and Amazing

By HNBISOFF |

The various types of butterflies were simply beautiful and amazing. In addition to the butterflies, the bird aviary was wonderful. A very nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

A butterfly lover's paradise

By BarbyAshley |

If you love butterflies, you're going to love Butterfly World. It only takes an hour or two to walk through the whole thing. I think its a bit pricey for the amount of time you spend there.

Magical

By Gary K |

What a experience! Have never seen anything like this. I am 65 years old and felt like I was in a fairy tale. I expected to see butterflies but not hundreds. Many beautiful plants too. Much to see. Stayed around 2 hours. Staff was very friendly and obviously loved their jobs. I can certainly understand why. Make sure you see it all. When you finally leave if you are really hungry check out FireGrill less than 1mile away. You'll love that too.

It’s awesome

By Kathy G |

Butterfly world is a really lovely experience. There are multiple butterfly enclosures and you can see them up close and they occasionally land on you. There is also a lot of interesting and educational material on the butterflies as well.

There are cool birds to see and feeding the lorikeets is a particular favorite for my daughter and her friends who are all in their 20s.

Great afternoon

Great afternoon, the guy who was working showed us around and was very informative. Also great with the little’ns. Highly recommend

Butterflies, Birds, Buds and a 67-Yr-Old Kid

By deburkins |

A pair of married 60-something’s thoroughly enjoyed our time at Butterfly World today. The writer (the older of the pair) turned quickly into a 10-yr old as we tried to photo-catch beautiful butterflies in mid-flutter (so many of the little buggers simply wouldn’t sit for a shot); fed lorikeets while they covered my arms and shoulders and nibbled my ear (the first landed on my arm as soon as I pulled the required dollar from my wallet - not his first rodeo, I presume); and marveled at the bug collection from around the world (plenty of them preserved, not actually crawling now). We spent a comfortable two hours among the critters, enjoying all the while. Yes, it’s costly (we did find a $3/person discount “coupon” on line). We had a great time, worth the cost!

Excelent joyride for the family

A unique experience for the children & family to get along with nature and beautiful butterflies!
A must-see experience!

Beautiful Butterflies- Excessive Admission Cost

By tikvah48 |

We have made it a habit to visit every butterfly garden we come across.
The wide varieties of butterflies are phenomenal. Visitors also get to see a small botanical garden and an aviary with local exotic birds. It is a nice place for children and the facility is handicapped accessible. There is a snack bar and a well stocked gift shop.
Plenty of ample parking. My one complaint is the admission. The cost of admission is excessive and way out of proportion to the facility, despite the fact that there are coupons available. In addition, you have to pay just get into the park. We packed a picnic lunch and ate in the park- just a suggestion.

Wonderful experience

By grandsgarden |

Ive been to a few butterfly gardens. This one is the most expansive and most beautiful one by far.
The place wasn’t busy so there was no hurry to go through many beautiful gardens where all kinds of butterflies surrounded you. Lots of benches where you could sit and enjoy these magnificent creatures.
There was a bird house as well as beautiful arbors filled with Passion flowers.

Good but could be a gem

By Vin P |

I've visited this place many times and even had an annual membership. It's wonderful the first time you visit, but I wish they would expand (If Tradewinds Park would allow it). We went on a discount day. $10.70 per person, the usual is $30.00 per person plus Tradewinds Park entrance fee (I think was a $1 and change per person). Anyway the place hasn't changed much from previous visits. The laboratory is tiny without much information as to what's going on. The butterfly areas are great with relaxing music. The bird aviary was also nice. I do also like the Lorikeet Encounter. The critters love nectar ($1.50 for a small cup). Anyway I wish they would get with modern times, maybe WIFI with an audio tour. We didn't eat as you can get through in an hour if you keep moving. The food was not memorable last time we visited. The gift shop was pricey but unique.

Something Different to Do

By George W |

Great place to take in something other than sand and water. Butterflies were landing on us and following us throughout the exhibit. The Tropical garden was full of flowers as well as other parts. The walk through takes about 30 to 45 minutes then the Insect exhibit was really informative. All but one Staff were very nice and greeted you along the walk. Tiffany, Rose and Marty were ones who you'd want representing you.

Family Time

By Karen L |

A beautiful place to connect with the nature and learn more about the butterflies. We also saw a different birds such as Rainbow Lorikeet, Cockatiel and Budgerigar, between others.

Return visit

By cgriffith1050 |

We used to visit BW when my children were young, my daughter and I recently returned while in a trip to south Florida, it’s still a Florida favorite. My college age daughter requested to go as she had such great memories. We didn’t want to leave the butterflies but, couldn’t wait to see the birds, bugs and scenery. There was a discount online that you just had to mention to receive, so check out their website before you go.still a beautifully maintained environment. We will be back again.

Best attraction in Coconut Creek

By Arielfl |

Butterfly World is the first attraction I took my baby daughter to when she was three months old. I will always remember how fascinated she was with the butterflies even at that young age. My daughter is now 18 so I guess you can say we have had a long history with this place.Through the years we have seen it grow in size as well as the entrance fee but it still remains the number one best attraction in Coconut Creek.

Butterfly World is located in the south side of Tradewinds Park. If it is a weekend prepare to pay the entrance fee of $1.50 to enter the park.

Once you enter the building and pay your entrance fee be prepared to enter into another world into the butterfly atrium. If you are not okay with hundreds of butterflies flying past your face this may not be the attraction for you. It sounds funny but I saw some people actually freaking out having the so many butterflies near them. If you love them like I do you will be in heaven. They are everywhere! I like to sit on a bench and watch them fly past and sometimes they even land on you. My favorite is the Blue Morpho. It is a boring brown when it's wings are closed but when it opens them up it is the most brilliant blue color. I always love trying to capture a picture of it's wings open. Every inch of the atrium is landscaped to perfection. There are two rooms and the second one has a small cave and a waterfall. If you look closely you will also find hummingbirds in here. You can't fail to get amazing pictures. The only thing I don't care for is the music piped in at a loud level. It was okay at first but the longer I stayed the more annoying it became. I wish they would at least turn it down.

Besides the butterfly atrium there is an outdoor garden, bird atrium, suspension bridge, two cafes, bug museum, and a feed the lorikeets experience. There is enough to see to spend a couple of hours here. I really like to linger.

On your way out there is a large gift shop with many different butterfly and floral items. Most gift shops are only worth a cursory glance but this one has so many great items. It is worth taking the time to look around.

My photography team picked Butterfly World as our latest meet up. It had slipped off my radar as life got busy so I hadn't paid it a visit in some time. My recent visit so impressed me that I applied my ticket price to a $60 membership. I plan on coming back throughout the year to perfect my photography.

So amazingly beautiful!

By TravelingMiddleAgersWithTeens |

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. As a lover of all things butterfly, I had high expectations...and was not disappointed. Entering the first "room" of butterflies was amazing! In a fast-paced world, it was wonderful to have nearly everything come to a stand-still. Everyone in the place was stepping so carefully, being mindful of the hundreds of stunning specimens flitting around us. The sheer number of butterflies was beyond belief! We took many pictures and thoroughly enjoyed this visit. Beyond butterflies, there was also a bug museum (pretty cool), bird sanctuary (also beautiful), and a snack station and gift store with reasonable prices. The entry fee seemed a bit high...until we went in! I would love to return again!

Delightful

By dashbutts |

I wasn't sure when my grandson wanted to go there but it was well worth going to. The grounds were beautiful with many flowers in bloom, exotic birds and the main attraction "butterflys". It was peaceful, relaxing and soothe the soul.

Nice relaxing sanctuary

By Jeff K |

Not only butterfly’s, but also different bird areas. Nice slow pace. Can go from atrium to atrium and return for more viewing to each. Has little lake with bridge. Both small birds, finches and paraquets, and Macaws. Butterfly area has multiple paths. Reasonable priced cafe, gift shop. Nice pictures. Little water ponds with atriums. They also have a little nursery area to buy floral as seen in atriums. With a lot of picture taking took about 2 hrs for visit. Nice day out

Short but Magical Trip

By Bridget R |

We visited on Christmas Eve, and although we arrived late in the afternoon and they were closing early, it was a beautiful experience with butterflies of all sizes all around us. We were able to see a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. Although it was a short trip, it was worth it!

Nice way to spend an afternoon

By Don G |

They've done a good job, maintaining the environments needed for the different species of animals they have there. A diverse amount of birds, butterflies and interesting and exotic plants. It's an educational experience that doesn't feel like your being taught.

A Must

By Gare R |

Considered one of the most visited tourist venues in central Florida. It's classified as the biggest butterfly house in the world. There's a lot of colorful butterflies in fantastic landscaping displays such as waterfalls. Even has an avian exhibit. You can have your picture taken with lorikeets. Small snack shop but a great gift shop. Plants for sale and they breed/hybridize passion flowers.

Wonderful experience - such a beautiful place!

By toddone1 |

This is such a peaceful, beautiful and relaxing place to go - even with youngsters. It has some of the largest gardens and butterfly assortments I have ever seen. There are also a variety of beautiful birds, an interactive Lorikeet feeding area, and lots of exotic plants to see and learn about. Their is also a great insect zoo exhibit which will fascinate many - one of the largest assortments I have seen also. It is a bit on the pricey side - but you can usually find discounts to help with this.

Butterfly World, a nice experience for us!

By CanadianTraveler10 |

Butterfly World has captivated us with its vibrant flowers, charming birds, and fluttering butterflies! It's a nice place for nature photography. The array of vividly coloured flowers is simply amazing. It's a pleasant experience but a bit overpriced.

Magical

By Vanessa D |

Despite the thousands of good reviews, we were still surprised at how wonderful this place is! Yes it is pricy, but you are immediately swept away by the amount of butterflies as you enter. Feeding the birds is a must do- the highlight of our entire family. Smiles and laughter the entire time we were there !

Amazing!

By Laurie M |

This was well worth the trip. It truly was a combination of butterflies, birds and botanical gardens. Loved that we had a cooler day since most everything is outdoors. Very user friendly and easy walking, not too big. Extremely well maintained! The gardens were gorgeous! Lots of photo opportunities. Nice 2-3 hour attraction.

Beautiful Butterflies, Birds & Plants in a peaceful setting

By Kim C |

You don’t get much more peaceful than being surrounding by beautiful butterflies, birds and flowering plants. This place is amazing and a favorite place to go in Florida. Do recommend checking the weather before you plan your trip. Too cold and the butterflies will not fly as much (unless that’s what you want for more opportunities for stills). Also, the flowers may not be out as much. Spring probably has the best blooms. That’s when I went the first two times. Too hot and you will not be very comfortable as the setting is mostly outside. We went in June and it was 90 degrees. VERY hot. Though the butterflies LOVE the heat and were in a major flurry of activity. So there’s that. They do have a gift shop with A/C…so that’s good for a break. There is also a bug zoo of sorts, which also has A/C and LIVE creepy crawlies for the not so faint of heart. (Gold silk weaver spiders crawl the walls unattended - seriously, that’s one room I cannot go in. But all others are caged.). There are also many flowering plants for sale, some even edible. Very tropical setting with beautiful music playing throughout. Very relaxing. It’s good for all ages, though your littles may need supervision as the butterflies don’t know to stay away from curious hands that could harm them. The birds are more cautious, though there are sections where little quail roam freely beneath your feet. They do tend to stay out of harm’s way. There is also a Lorikeets cage and you can feed them. All the animals are wild and do not work on human’s timelines, so that’s something to keep in mind like any location with wild animals. There is a small cafe that serves minimum “theme park” type foods, but if you can bring your own, you can save money and eat in the park, which is where Butterfly World is located. Re-entry is permitted. Prices are reasonable and though they say they don’t offer discounts, I did receive a veteran’s discount because I asked at the time we purchased our tickets. There also seems to always be a $5 coupon available if you’re not a veteran and you don’t have to print it, just mention it to save. No advanced sales allowed and if the weather looks spotty, I’d call to see if they are open. Rain and especially thunderstorms, will definitely cancel your plans. But they do offer rain checks. Over all, if you want a peaceful day in a beautiful place with God’s creation, this is definitely not to be missed if you are in South Florida. They also have annual pass holder deals and a deal with three other parks in south Florida.

Worth it!

I hadn’t been in 10 years but butterfly world delighted. Spend a few hours being overwhelmed by thousands of butterflies and beautiful birds in a lovely setting. You won’t regret it!

Beautiful!

We spent about 2 hours touring the grounds! Beautiful butterflies, birds, and gardens! It was a little spendy, but we found a 2 for 1 coupon! It was pretty empty for a Thursday late morning/early afternoon!

A group of us from a photography club went there for a day's outing.
Got there at the 9am opening.
Not crowded. Started to get busy at around 11 with class trippers and others.
Perfect day, not too hot or too sunny.
We all got some great photos and had a wonderful bonding experience.

Beautiful

By danamc01 |

My mom and I visited here in April of this year. It is very nice. There are lots of tropical plants and lots of different types of butterflies. We spent several hours there viewing the butterflies and plants. I wanted to go to a butterfly conservatory and this hit my mark. It felt really tropical and was beautiful. The butterflies would land on you or right by you,

Butterflys Birds and mored

By Shawn L |

We had a wonderful time. Butterflys, Birds, flowers all on display to interact with. We spent hours touring the beautiful site. The staff is friendly and helpful. The transition from butterflies to birds is a wonderful experience. The interactive Lorikeet display was amazing. They even have a Bug World with bugs from around the world live on display. We went through the site twice before the lightning storm came in but we are planning on going back again soon.

We Love Butterfly World!!!

By Todd D |

I can't say enough about our visits to Butterfly World. My daughter absolutely loves the live 'nature'. The Butterflies, the Birds, and the people. We have been back 3 times this summer alone, and are headed there again Saturday. Thank you for providing such an amazing sanctuary, and putting nature on display perfectly. A+!!!, 5 Stars!!. WELL DONE BW!!!

Family Fun for a half-day activity

By Wyliechattin |

Butterfly World doesn’t disappoint. Be sure to find the $5 off coupons in the local publications as it’s a bit pricey but worth it. My daughter loved learning the stages of a butterflies life cycle and seeing the many varieties in the gardens. The tranquil music, colorful butterflies and foliage are breathtaking. I’d say it’s best for kids 10 and under and definitely adults and seniors, too. Pack a picnic lunch and wear the kids out on the lovely playground just outside the entrance, too.

Amazing place, better than expected

By Scott W |

Kind of pricey so I was concerned but it was great! Cant describe it, its kind of overwhelming one of a kind experience.

Bring your camera!

By Leonard K |

We visited butterfly world with our South Florida adventure pass. Amazing how make butterflies and birds we saw. Highlight was feeding the lorikeets. Well maintained. Friendly staff.

Who knew butterflies were so complex and interesting?

By Fred L |

An extra added attraction on a three-day bus tour to the Keys, I learned more about butterflies than I has in 80-plus years. The tour of the grounds was organized in a cradle-to-the-grave order to trace the development of these beautiful insects. The adults get to show off in separate aviaries from the parrots and smaller birds who are also there. The one problem was a rain interruption, but that was just bad timing.

enjoy butterflies

By L J and Bob |

Good time for adults & kids...Butterflies landed on one ladies head several times...they are beautiful...

Went with children ages 1-13 and 5 adults

By Li L |

Relaxing and Educational

By George W |

Butterfly world is much larger than I expected. The butterflies are plentiful and beautiful with many varieties all flitting about in a tropical setting. But there is a lot more than Butterflies! Tropical plants and flowers, an insect room, aviary, lorikeet feeding and more. Good for kids too.

Very nice attraction

By marc seguin |

Very nice attraction where you see beautiful butterflies and birds. An attraction for people of all ages.

MUST GO!!

By DonnaS |

I went here thinking this may be boring. Was I wrong!!
It was amazing!! My husband and I had such a great afternoon walking among such beautiful butterflies and birds. A room where you can feed the Lorikeets-so cool!
Another room full of bugs from around the world . This was something I could do without!
But the rest.. just beautiful!
Really must see. The picture I posted is of the sign out front and it’s exactly the way they describe it.
Be sure to use a coupon. They are everywhere.
Parking is free.
Worth every penny!

Butterfly World had much more to see than I expected. Huge area filled with beautiful butterflies. Then all the magnificent bird areas. The bug museum containing bugs from all over the world was fascinating. A very nice gift shop as well. Definitely worth visiting here for a couple hours.

Anyone with even the slightest interest in butterflies should make this priority # 1, if you are visiting South Florida. The colors and diversity of the butterflies are outstanding.

Plus, the beautiful gardens, colorful birds, lovely aromas from the plants, etc. all add to delighting the senses.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful Mother Nature

By Stephen R |

Took some friends from the UK there and they loved it. How could you not love hundreds of beautiful butterflies flying around you while relaxing music is played creating a zen environment? You're educated on the life cycle of a butterfly as well. The birds, exotic plants and flowers only add to the experience. Great place to have a date with mother nature. There is a café as well.

This is an amazing place for kids and adults alike!!!

By mfmac43 |

I have been taking my grand kids to Butterfly World for years. I also go their to get my butterfly garden plants from the wide selection they maintain.

I could just sit there under the trees and watch the butterflies and birds all day--a truly awesome place!!

Excellent place to go take children, actually for anyone to go. Nature, plenty of beautiful butterflies. Peaceful. Don’t expect an abundance of butterflies, just a lot. Very nice overall.

Stunning and Colorful

By Pamela B |

Beautiful, low key, attraction. Thousands of colorful exotic butterflies. Well organized layout. Nice facility. Fun areas with exotic birds.

Expensive but worth it

By Zasha K |

I was excited to visit Butterfly World, but I didn't realize how much I would love it. This is huge campus of learning and entertainment with so much to do. Our kids absolutely loved it, but all of the adults did too. I would certainly include this on my "must-visit" list when near by. The price is admitedly a little steep, but overall I think it was worth going.

Butterflies

By George H |

This place was excellent. As soon as you walk in there are all kinds of butterflies flying around. My favorite was the blue ones. They also have some birds .

A definite for nature lovers

By John W |

A bit pricey, but well worth it; easily the best butterfly garden we have seen. There are so many butterflies and there is such a variety to 'encounter.' Also, it is apparent that the center is not just an attraction: it appears to be totally dedicated to sustaining the local population of butterflies (e.g., the 'next generation' is on display); the 'bug zoo' is awesome-- entertaining and educational.

Wish I hadn't waited so long to visit

By robertam4444 |

Was reluctant to go since I have a fear of big leaves and there is a tropical rain forest area you must go thru. It is a one way trail thru the facility but you can go thru as many times as you want all for one price. Just get stamped. But everything went fine. The butterfly area is a must see. Hundreds of butterflies flurrying around you and landing on you. Beautiful trees and bushes not seen in Ohio. Large amount of exotic birds too. There is a cafe near the end of the tour for a quick refreshment and a gift shop. If you like the plants in the exhibit there is a garden shop at the end where you can buy some. Just make sure it is hot enough where you live for them to survive.

Beautiful for all ages!

LOVE ❤️ BUTTERFLY WORLD 🌎
A beautiful outting for the whole family.
Gorgeous, educational and lends itself to great picture taking. 🦋
Live butterflies surrounding you and beautiful background 🎶 music.
We went with family ranging from ages 3-95.
We were celebrating 🥳 great grandmother’s 95th birthday as she loves butterflies.
🦢 birds, bugs, some reptiles 🦎, are all here. The butterfly habitat is gorgeous and peaceful. Lots of flowers and botanicals to enjoy.
One complaint: there are beautiful benches in memory and in honor of people around the park for $1500. We wanted to purchase one in honor of our grandmothers 95th birthday but was told that it was no longer available!
Sad 😢

Birthday Butterfly

By LOLO0426 |

Took my daughter for her 5th birthday! This place was phenomenal. What a breathtaking experience. My daughter loves butterflies. She has grown her own since she was little and let's them go at local butterfly gardens. I found this place and am super grateful for it. Natalie was very welcoming and along with Captain they made it super fun. Best luck to them staying forever - the county will be upset if they lost this gem for all to see. We support you and thanks for making a memory for my little girl she will never forget.

Must Experience. Not Just For Kids

By Jerry B |

Kids of all ages will love the experience. It's a one of a kind, must do escape into fantasy land. You'll appreciate remembering movie scenes and in this place you're in a movie set of sorts. Orchids abound. They have an aviary where the birds are beautiful adjacent to the thousands of free roaming butterflies. They say 5,000 to 10,000 butterflies are flying and doing their thing. It's the most amazing thing we've ever seen. Benches for us older folks to sit and enjoy between the walkways. Considering the amount of butterflies, birds, and orchids among the beautiful gardens, you'll gladly pay the price as it costs a little, but hey, forgo the bottle of wine tonight. Kapish?

My daughter loved it!

By Miguel P |

She was there with her classmates and they enjoyed every minute of it! It's a very nice place to get away from all the city vibe and traffic

Surrounded by beauty!

By Brassil B |

We went on Mother's Day.They had a special reduced entry fee for Mom's which helped. When you enter " the world" its amazing. So many butterflies...all different types. The flowers section was interesting..so a colorful.
The birds...beautiful!!! This definitely a must see. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful environment

By Sofia Gomez |

We visited butterfly world for my sister's birthday and it was a great experience. We were amazed by the different plants, birds, bugs, and butterflies. Despite the heat, the staff was nice, and they were open to helping you learn more about the different species.

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon

By Jan R |

As we approached the entrance to Butterfly World, we could tell this would be a first class experience. The park is circular so you don't miss a thing. It's a bit pricey but is well worth the expense. The exhibits are enchanting, filled with beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, not to mention the butterflies and birds flitting all around. The sound of twittering birds fills the air in a very pleasant way. I was treated to a butterfly landing on me and staying put for several minutes as I walked around. The entire presentation is excellent. I could have spent even more time in this very special place.

This is a dreamland come true! Every size and color of butterfly, all flying around you as you stroll through the lush floral gardens and water features. Signs identify the plants and flowers. The butterflies are contained in the structure and not allowed to escape. In fact, as you walk through the screen doors into the bug museum or other attractions, a kindly staff members stands by to gently brush any resting butterflies off of your back. The gift shop cannot be resisted. A gorgeous place with friendly staff.

It was soooooooooo hot!

By hnault |

Go when the FL weather is better! Just make use it is not too hot. my kid was too hot and complained a lot, but the grounds were WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Beautiful

By fiddlestix36 |

This was our 2nd visit and we all enjoyed it just as much. Daughters and myself loved the butterflies and my hubby loved the birds. It is so neat here. I took so many pictures that I can’t wait to print and hang at home!

My favorite butterfly is the blue morpho and it landed on me. I had to wait for it to fly away and it didn’t seem in a hurry!

They also have beautiful flowers. I couldn’t buy one on our trip but plan to look into at home.

If you have small ones, please consider how they will react to butterflies fluttering around them and in their faces. Some kids are totally fine with this but I know when my oldest was very small would freak out about anything that flies.

Great Visit!

By Steven G |

We visited Butterfly World on 02-18-21 and it was such a great experience. There were so many butterflies! You also got to go in with the Lorikeets and feed them ($2 extra per person) if you wanted. The facility was clean and well kept. Highly recommended.

Beautiful

By Raenette G |

I enjoyed the interesting exhibits of butterflies and birds, but we took my 90 year old father in law and not sure he enjoyed it as much. Feeding the Lorekits was awesome and Bug world interesting but creeping after a while unless you love live bugs.
Would think it would be great for kids and really educational. Would go next time in the area with my grand kids.

Incredible. Everyone loved it.

By Alan B |

We were all overwhelmed at the number and variety of butterflies and birds. FOR $1, you can hand feed the birds. Great photo o.o.
Enjoy

Even my husband said he enjoyed it!!

By Jeanette D |

OMGoodness, it takes your breathe away as soon as you walk into where the butterflies are! Reminds you to slow down and take in the beauty that surrounds you. Spend some time in there, you'll see things you didn't notice the first time through. And they are celebrating their 31st year in business!! Very informative too.

Peaceful until the Childern come in

By Zealouzone |

We wanted to visit before they closed down at the end of the month. It's a bit pricey and the location is very small. Def. not a place where you get the most bang for your buck but it is a very nice experience. You can spend hours here especially if you take pics. No tri or mono pods allowed. I was not informed at check-in and I guess someone complained because a staff member came straight to me from out of the sanctuary even though I was in a corner. Nonetheless, I still took my pics. The other parts of the place were not as intriguing and the courtyard left much to be desired. You do have to pay to feed the birds. Class trips should not be allowed for children as they were very loud, rude, disrespectful and had no concern with making sure they did not step on the butterflies on the ground. I mean it takes a level of appreciation to enjoy this place. Childern under the age of 8 may not have that level of understanding yet. Gift shop is very pricey. Do get the butterfly identifier it makes for a fun adventure while you're there. I hate to see this place go as it's a good place for butterfly lovers such as my daughter and I.

Colorful

We had a great time. So many beautiful butterflies. Great display of butterflies from around the world. Super cute gift shop.

Pleasant day with the butterflies

By Dave R |

Went this past weekend with my grandchild, there was a special where the admission price was reduced for both adults and children. Additionally they had two events which I thought were educational for everyone. My favorite was the speaker at the bug house who spoke about the spiders, scorpions, and lizard in their collection. He demonstrated unique features of the animals then proceeded to feed them. Although it was very crowded everyone accommodated for small children by helping them go to the front of crowd. The second event was a butterfly release which while okay wasn’t as enjoyable because you couldn’t hear the speaker, the crowd was just too large. I think the demonstrations should occur twice a day to help keep the crowd size manageable.
They offer butterfly attracting landscape plants for sale at very reasonable prices. We will visit again in the winter when the temperatures are milder.
Tip: while the parking lot is large, when it fills there is parking across the road by the playing field. Discount coupons are available online.

Magical

By Gary K |

Wonderful. Thousands of butterflies and plants. If you have children they'll love it as will you. We spent around 2 hours there. Some walking involved but nothing strenuous. Open air but there are indoor areas too where you can cool off. Staff is dedicated and friendly.

Butterfly world is more than butterflys.

By PaulEcon |

Butterfly world was one of the best ideas we ever had while visiting Fort Lauderdale FL.
It is so beautiful and tranquil and calming. It's amazing! The butterflies are in abundance and very colorful and beautiful. It is also a very nice bird aviary, with many to view.

Butterflies, Birds and Beauty

By happylre |

We visited mid-week in February (75 degrees) and the place was in full bloom. Hundreds of butterflies and beautiful birds. We spent about 3 hours here and saw everything at a very modest pace. My kids wanted to feed to Lorikeets 3 times which took most of our time. We meandered around the grounds as they were so beautiful. The gift shop is full of really pretty things - and I'm not usually a gift shop person. The only negatives were the food quality at the Mariposa Cafe. Stick to the snacks and pretzels and avoid the burgers. They were just ok but met our expectations for a quick bite. I would definitely return here.

Beautiful butterflies. Lorikeet feeding too

By Lritzcracker |

Lovely place!!! Lots and lots of butterflies and birds! Very pretty aviaries full of butterflies and pretty flowers!! Service dog friendly:)

Butterflies & Birds

Great place to take photos of butterflies and small birds. Been there several times. Great for kids and adults.

THE best butterfly exibit...EVER!!

By Janice M |

We've been to other like exhibits but were totally impressed with this experience. There were hundreds of butterflies surrounding you in the Paradise Adventure Aviary. If you are lucky, one will light upon your head or shoulder, but you will be checked to make sure there are no hitchhikers. You could easily spend an hour just in this one area mesmerized by all the activity surrounding you. Be careful not to step on any butterflies that have landed on the pathway. I would allot at least 3 hours to totally experience all the offerings at a leisurely pace. Do not miss the butterfly museunm and bug zoo! This is handicap accessible.

Always amazed

By Donna G |

Kids and adults love this place all year long. We go several times a year. The kids keep wanting to go back. It's very peaceful, beautiful, and educational.

Enjoynature??

By Robert W |

Took my adult visiting daughter to see this venue, and we were blown away. Free-flying, beautiful butterflys, by the thousands, and-Parakeets that will perch on your shoulder-looking for a handout of the man-made nectar they sell to you to feed the gorgeous birds.
WOW! we had a wonderful time, and were reluctant to leave. very special and different.
Do not miss if you care about things natural!!!

Must See Attraction

By Tony T |

This is a must-see for this area. My wife and I really enjoyed this stop. The place is very well run & has a lot to see. The variety of butterflies is amazing & they have done a great job of being able to let people experience the butterfly environment in a comfortable setting.

Visited with 94 year old Mom

By Ellensvacation |

Perfect for children and senior citizens. Used a wheel chair with 94 year old Mom. very relaxing. Butterflies were beautiful. Colorful birds will rest on your arms. Fabulous to be so close to natures wonders. Just big enough to enjoy without getting too tired. Easy access to parking.

Enjoyable but expensive

By Heather J |

I will start off by saying this is an expensive activity if you don't have the South Florida adventure pass. It is very short for what would have cost me $100 for 3 people. If you want to sit on a park bench to soothing music and have butterflies and birds around you, this will be great. I went with my 2 sons, 12 and 15 and we enjoyed the butterfly exhibit. There are many butterflies flying around and lots of variety, many interesting flowers as well. You can then go into a budgie habitat, they all seemed very timid of humans but was fun to see all the different varieties. The lorikeet feeding was the best part and the highlight for all of us. For $2 you get a small container of nectar and they all fly on to you to enjoy it. There was a museum of sorts with live insects and displays of insects from all over the world. My kids love bugs so this was good for us. Over all we probably spent 45 minutes to get through the entire exhibit. Most of the flowers are available to purchase in their nursery. They encourage you to go around a 2nd time but there was nothing that we really needed to see twice. It was a nice exhibit but just very pricey for what you get.

Great time for all

By Arlance22 |

So many different types of butterflies. The colors were stunning. Beautiful birds, finches, hummingbirds, parrots and parakeets. You can hold and feed the Lorikeets for an small additional fee. I loved the music you could hear throughout the place. A picturesque bridge over water. The kids had a great time. Photographers dream.

Beautiful BUTTERFLY WORLD

By lindadwyer01 |

It was amazing and so glad we went. The butterflies were everywhere and enclosed in protective ares. The setting was beautiful with colorful birds from Australia and the tropics. The flowers and plants were unusual and the landscaping was magnificent. It was a wonderful and enjoyable experience.

Worth an occassional visit

By Pyramidion |

Literally thousands of butterflies at all stages of development. Many exotics as well as more familiar types. Some lovely gardens to explore. Discount coupons widely available in area. Great for youngsters.

Pricy but definitely worth it

By Beachiegal |

The experience was definitely one of a kind. The only dock I give it was the price. There were no senior discounts but we were able to use a groupon to take some dollars off. There were tons of places to visit including the butterfly garden, bug museum, the lab, and a place to hold and feed a bird! This is a great place for people interested in nature of all ages. I highly reccomend visiting!

awesomeness

By Allberto |

Took our 7 year old boy we had a fantastic time. Place is clean, workers are friendly, and best of all beautiful butterflies. Highly recommended, must see with kids. Great half a day trip!!!!

Butterflies and more

By Jesse J |

It's a very well organized experience with birds and butterflies. A very special experience is feeding the Lorikeets nectar that you purchase. The butterfly area is fun and educational. There's also a spider and tarantula exhibition that's sure to be of interest.

Have you ever had a beautiful butterfly land on you?

By perrx |

What a special place, with beautiful butterflies all around. Maybe some will land on you. Their proboscis tickles your skin.
If you buy the South Florida Adventure pass ($50 for adults, $40 for kids) you can visit 4 sites as many times as you want from May to September: Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, Sawgrass Recreation Park in Weston ( 15 minutes from Flamingos), Flamingo Gardens in Davie, and the museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale. Even if you only visit 2 of the places one time, you've saved money.

Gorgeous

By ajcaballero |

Beautiful place to take lots of pictures. A variety of butterflies fly around us, spectacular. The bird section incredible so many birds lots of color and sound, my daughter love this place. Classic and relaxing ambiance and music. Great place to take the kids, parents, grandparents and the whole family. Gorgeous!

Once your visitors are sun burned, take them here

By michael b |

This is often the highlight of a trip for any visitor and I love coming here. It's not expensive, easy to get to, plenty of parking and just wonderful looking at the gardens and of course, the butterflies.

Beautiful butterflies

By jeanientom |

Butterfly world has so much more then beautiful butterflies. They also have beautiful plants, trees, flowers and birds. Great place for all ages

Highly Recommend!

By Trek61086089340 |

We really enjoyed Butterfly World! Beautiful grounds and scenery! It's interesting to see all the different stages of a butterfly. Many different varieties to see, along with a variety of birds. I especially enjoyed their gift shop that has a large selection of unique and high-quality gifts/souvenirs.

Very good, for young and less young people alike - worth the visit!

By giorgio0338 |

To learn about butterflies and then some! They do have a subsidiary (smaller) in Key West. Beautiful flowers, but - especially - the story of how butterflies come to life...

Wonderful OUTDOOR Exhibits!!! However, Pricey and...skip the food.

By Lance H |

Why outdoors in Caps? Because you need to be aware that the place can be stifling HOT!!!!! The place is expensive, just a hair short of $90 for three people, no senior discount. They do have a 15% AAA discount. The Butterfly area was wonderful, but, due to the heat, after 20 minute me and my older aunt and the Misses, were overwhelmed by the heat. To add insult to injury, there is no indoor eating area. The food counter was manned by a person who was going back and forth from the gift shop to the food counter. I ordered there sliders, which were two White Castle Burgers thrown into a microwave for four times the price you would pay at Whiter Castle for, at least, fresh burgers. The gift shop was decent and the staff was helpful. Too bad we did not get to spend more time, it was just too darn Hot!!!!

Great time with the kids...great playground outside too

By Sirmet B |

Great time with the kids...great playground outside too. 2 under 2. Great place for the kids and adults. Great playground outside too

Enjoyed this beautiful place

By Ronda C |

We enjoyed this beautiful place. Admission was a little bit expensive but anything extra once inside was very reasonable. I wouldn’t recommend for really young kids but very enjoyable for older kids and adults.

Very nice, too expensive

By SLELWool |

I really love butterflies, and the chance to walk among them is one I take at every opportunity, this was a very pleasant experience, although at felt the cost was too high, there were other attractions, birds etc. I however was only interested in The butterflies

The magic of butterflies

A unique place! Incomparable frame, with the 🦋! 100% recommended. It was a special day with family and friends! The children enjoyed it very much and have great memories.

Very peaceful

By Abigail C |

There were a lot kids however It was still relaxing. The happiness of the kids plus the atmosphere made it very joyful

Must see attraction

By Lisado976 |

This is a must see attraction if you visit south Florida. They have a significant collection of butterflies, exotic birds and tropical flowers. We went there on a week day and It was pretty crowed. They have a nice little nursery where you can buy some of the rare flowers and tropical fruit trees. Their tropical fruit trees were healthy and relatively less expensive than most big home and garden stores like Lowes and Home Depot. We spent more than two hours there and really enjoyed it.

Wonderful!!

By Diane S |

This place is wonderful. So amazing to interact with all of the beautiful butterflies. Fun place for all ages.

Good place to visit

By Carlos H |

Real nature, butterflies and plants are to be admired, I know it must be expensive to keep the place the way it is, but unless there is a special discount day, to me is a little bit expensive.

Unique Experience

By Traveler2AM |

Butterfly world is much more than beautiful butterflies flittering around in lovely settings. There are many varieties of plants, birds, insects, etc. They even have an aviary where you can take pictures of parakeets perching on your shoulders, arms, etc.

They also have a nice gift shop. There is a place to eat but I didn't look at it.

Captain Sunshine, who was at the ticket counter, was very friendly and informative.

There is plenty of free parking. The only negative is that addmission is a bit expensive.

pretty

By Lesley B |

if you enjoy outdoors plus love butterflies you will enjoy this location clean prety and all natural

Fragile Flyers

By Joanne |

The butterflies are many and even land on a person occasionally. The plants, orchids especially, are gorgeous. There are many posters and displays that will tell about the butterflies. There are even tiny birds of all colors. Also parrots.

We had a docent give us a tour. The information was interesting, when we could hear him. Even with a mic it was difficult to hear. The walkways are narrow and so difficult to all gather close enough to the docent. I suggest you tour on your own and read as you go. There are videos but chairs to view are far too few.

One area had many host plants displayed to show what attracted different butterflies. And there is an aviary also and a gift shop.

Tourist Trap

By beachboy |

Almost 60 bucks for 2 people. not much of a butterfly area. We didn't see much at all. we were in and out in 30 minutes. very dissatisfied.

Enchanted butterfly & botanic garden

By DMVTraveler62 |

We went here during a quick getaway and decided to check out Butterfly World. It was so worth its. We grabbed some coupons from our hotel and got $4 off our entrance fee each. You walk into this enchanted butterfly and botanic garden. There were so many different sizes, colors, and types of butterflies. We felt like little kids in awe. There were also beautiful plants I’d never seen before that were fascinating. We went into the aviary which had the cutest and most colorful birds. They had so much personality. There was an indoor bug museum and bug zoo which was also a nice break from the heat while still looking at some cool exhibits. I loved this and we really enjoyed visiting this place. One tip - go early in the day before it gets too hot. It’s mostly an outdoor exhibit but well worth the visit.

Great place to visit!

By Luv2Ctheworld2011 |

Great day visiting Butterfly World! We loved being immersed with all of the beautiful butterflies. Well done. Employees were very attentive and kind. Will visit again. Highly recommended!

Exquisite Beauty and Science

By Reggie293 |

Butterfly World offers an immersion in nature as thousands of colorful butterflies dash and flit and alight around in a lush tropical setting. We found these gentle encounters mesmerizing - unlike those very few reviewers who reported being able to walk through the place in 10 minutes. If getting to the other side is your life mission, you will miss the point of being there.
We found the informative botanical exhibits absorbing and enjoyed the flower gardens, aviaries (from finches to macaws), museum exhibits of butterflies and moths and gift shop. The staff is courteous, friendly and open to questions. We especially appreciated the educational and science missions of Butterfly World. If you factor these critical missions into the admission price, it is a bargain and one of Florida’s most memorable attractions.

a great place to take family

By Chris_Florida_12 |

A fun place to take children or grand children, or out of town visitors. I do not believe there is anything like this anywhere else. If you enjoy wildlife, it is a must see. You will enjoy a trip here with family and you will long remember your visit here. It is well worth the admission price, considering how pricey the parks in Orlando are!

Butterfly World

By Gail K |

Well kept, grounds and gardens are beautiful, butterflies are different and beautiful. Do not go unless its early morning or in the winter months, we went in sept. and it was extremely hot and made it a bit uncomfortable to walk around in the heat. There is a live bug section (which are kept confined) this proved to be very interesting. I felt that it was a little expensive at 30.00 per adult and 29.95 for ages 3-11. Small snack bar. I bought a pretzel and that was 3.00 plus change. Great place if you can afford the prices for your family

Beautiful nature

By Tiffany B |

Butterflies, birds, and flowers oh my! This was a wonderful experience- I have visited this place 3 times. I enjoy taking photos of nature so please check them out. The flowers are so colorful. The best reason I love Butterfly world is because you can feed the Lorakeets. Bring cash so you can buy the food and enjoy this one of a kind experience!

A little Garden of Eden.

By june252000 |

Butterfly World was suggested by our server at IHOP as it was only minutes away. What a beautiful and serene place. We paid a nominal entrance fee to the park, then $90+ for the three of us to enter Butterfly World. Not cheap but what is these days?! The butterflies were absolutely beautiful, such gorgeous and delicate creatures. There were also birds and other critters about, the scariest of which were enclosed. If you enjoy nature and you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.

Best Butterfly Experience We Have Had!

By Sunnywfb |

We like to check out butterfly and nature type gardens when we travel. Love to see native species and plants in various locations. So far this is the best butterfly experience we have had. Beautiful facility, great location and thousands of butterflies! We literally spent 3 hours sitting and enjoying all there is to see. I must have take 300 pics. We went mid morning on Wednesday 2/6/19 and it was not crowded. You are able to go thru the facility as often as you like, so we went back to the butterfly area and just sat on some benches. There are also birds, insects and various plant exhibits to see. Enjoy!
