A well maintained walkway and relaxing stroll to see the waterway and birds. Next to the cemetery. We enjoyed it.

Finding this park was a nice surprise. It is very easy to miss. Go past the intersection that the GPS tells you it is located. We walked along the boardwalk and into the disc golf area. There’s water access in at least one portion of the park and we enjoyed the parade of crabs along the shore. 🦀 The views are beautiful.

We took this walk, not knowing what to expect and were so pleasantly surprised. This board walk runs along the old cemetery out to the water. The views are incredible and the little park at the end of the boardwalk is a great place to fish or just sit and enjoy. The azaleas were in bloom and the color was beautiful. We even walked through the cemetery when we finished our walk and were awed by the old grave sites. Some of them dated back to the 1800's! Well worth the time and a great bit of history to explore.

Great place to watch the ducks and water birds. There’s a little bit of trash here and there, unfortunately like almost anywhere, but you can’t pick this up as it’s off the boardwalk.

Can't believe what a great walk this is. Along the water which gives you a perfect way to get a lay of the Cedar Key land. We also were able to spot places to fish which was our main objective.

This park is difficult to find but worth the hunt. Long boardwalk around the marsh. Quiet place to watch nature or bring your disc golf. Interesting walk through the cemetery.

First of all we drove past it due to tucked back signage at the tiny parking area so be on the lookout. We entered via the narrow boardwalk which was 1200+ feet along the water with some nice views. We saw some birds far off in the distance so bring your binoculars. At the end is a disc golf course (currently closed) and a "fitness trail". Unfortunately we never got to try the outdoor equipment due to a few children using it as a playground. Maybe some separation between fitness area and play/picnic area would help. We then wandered through the cemetery area to get back to the car. It was the best part. We saw ospreys and old tombstones and beautiful old shade trees,a nice way to end our visit.

Nice but very short walk,Park is small not much to do, not much cover so be ready for lots of sun.Pet friendly.

Very relaxing walk with beautiful views. My husband and I always visit this place when we visit Cedar Key.

Nice walk through nature. Saw many birds. Great view of the Gulf. Big mossy trees in cemetery. Very nice kept Boardwalk.

We drive through and walked some of the gravesites that appeared old. We also thought the family plots were interesting that they had different last name s. We didn't walk the trail since I didn't have my motor cart with us. We were more interested to see the dated tombstones which tells you the age of the area 1886.

We took a walk thru the cemetery and saw a mix of final resting places. 3 that stood out was the Rebel grave , the Gulf War Vet and Jimmy "the Greek " grave. all are local heroes. It appears the grounds could use some help. The Boardwalk along the cemetery is nice. It is best to go when the tide is in. You can see bird and butterflies. Parking is tight

Nature and beauty. We enjoyed visiting the cemetery and honoring the graves of brave solders that served in our military.( men and women ). The trees are beautiful.
Head out on the board walk walkway to the park. It has recently been updated with frisbee golf and a excersize path. We were not bothered by bugs 🐜 as posted by another review- a lot of birds. Have a relaxing time here.

We drove around the cemetery instead of walking out on the boardwalk. As we drove we could see much of the boardwalk but I think it would have been better if we walked.

We were our tooling around on the bikes and rode through this. There's not a lot to do here, and it's free. Need I say more?

It was a nice walk through the town's history--many interesting grave markers, from highly decorative and engraved slabs to modest mounds marked with shells. The graveyard is surrounded by a boardwalk through the marsh, and lots of wildlife pass through the area.

There is a nice boardwalk that goes along and over some of the water and mangroves. Then you go into the park proper and can take a few various paths and walk through the cemetery. It was very interesting and a nice, easy walk. Very enjoyable, very quiet.

We always look for local cemetaries. Love walking around and checking out the dates, to see how far they go back. We also enjoy if there is a certain, "creepy" factor. This one does. Nice walk with gulf breezes throughout.

This park includes a small beach area for swimming and fishing as well as a fitness trail, port a potty, play area and a boardwalk walking or biking trail that starts at the cemetery and wraps around a beautiful wetlands marsh. We took the boardwalk trail and enjoyed viewing all the water and wildlife. If you want to visit the beach area, it is a little overgrown to get there so I would check it out first before relying on a day at the beach. My review is for the boardwalk trail part of the park. We also drove through the cemetery itself. I would highly recommend taking this trail as it is so breathtaking with a few benches along the way also. It is a very peaceful stroll indeed.

Board walk to point. Possible place for bird sitings. Some exercise equipment- nice views. Walked back through cemetery. Some old gravestones. Nothing special here but something to do.

We heard about this park so we decided to check it out. I was surprised to see so many activities around a cemetery to be honest. It was a beautiful place! The trails were great and the outdoor fitness equipment was a pleasant surprise. I love the artsy and laid-back vibes of this island. A walk thru the cemetery was very interesting to see all the various dates going back to the 1800s. It even had some good fishing spots. I can see where this would be a favorite among locals.

We only got to walk around in the cemetery part of park because it was just too darn hot. If you enjoy neat old cemeteries then you will really enjoy this one. So many very old and unique gravesites. Will definitely be back when the weather is permitting.

A step back in history with grave sites and a board walk through local family resting places. Some of the founding families can be seen in some very old monuments and headstones.

We wanted to see if there was a sand beach in this area and there is just a small area that is really more for fishing. This park has been recently developed and if you are looking for somewhere for a run or exercising, they have made it fun for that. Of course there are always the beautiful views of the area. It is right near the cemetery and we also enjoyed walking thru that and reading the names and dates of this very old and picturesque cemetery.

Neat, clean, relaxing ...... "FREE" big eyes for sight seeing ..... plenty of flora and fauna to see (Sea) !! Fantastic workout equipment and a challenging disc golf course !!

Absolutely loved this park!!! We even visited it several times within our vacation. They have a walking trail completely around the cemetery. There is an exercising park there as well that overlooked the ocean canals. Beautiful....a must see!!!

Great little park with walking trails....
Old cedar key history very peaceful setting...we enjoyed it..

Very nice afternoon walk. Went after several days of rain. Once you get off the boardwalk there is a fitness trail with workout devices. Benches to sit and look out at the back bay area. Saw lots of different birds.

Very well-built walkway over the wetlands. Lots of birds to see. A very pleasant walk! A quaint park at the end of the walkway.

Good to take your dog to, walk over the salt marsh and along waters edge on boardwalk, next to the cemetery. plenty of seating along the way. The city could come in and clean up the marsh better as there were old boats, and storm wash there.

This was a nice little area overlooking the water. Wooden boardwalk is great to walk around. The cemetery is quiet and peaceful. GPS took us down the wrong road. Look for the sign on the side of the road. Family enjoyed the walk.

Enjoyed driving through the cemetery then took a walk along the boardwalk - very relaxing. We did see some birds along the way.

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of this place.nice view of the water.its a good walk through a saltwater habitat

If you've been to Cedar Key before then you know it's not a typical Florida beach town. There's no wide shorelines and crystal clear waters....but there IS a lot of wildlife to be seen. I saw the sign for Cemetery Point Park when I was visiting over the weekend and expected maybe a few benches overlooking the water. Was pleasantly surprised to see a very long boardwalk over the marsh leading to a nicely groomed park. On the boardwalk you could see an Osprey nest with both parents perched nearby on a stag tree. That alone made it worth the stop for me!

Neat little park with a frisbee golf course!! Has a kayak LANDING. NOT a launch! Nice idea for a break to stretch your legs or use the portable toilet if you have been paddling for awhile.

We had a fine time here. As you'd expect, the boardwalk runs parallel to the cemetery. We did explore the cemetery, and there are some very old and historic gravesites there.
The park itself is clean and open. There are exercise stations, disc golf goals, an open area, fishing, and a random dinosaur skull smack in the middle of the place.
It's a nice area to see wildlife and take photos.

The boardwalk is a beautiful way to view the gulf shore, watch hawks and shore birds fishing. Walking through the cemetery is relaxing and a fun place to have some shade. There's a fitness trail just off the boardwalk where you can get some exercise, and you always meet nice people there. A small picnic/playground area for kids is out near the beach, and there's a butterfly garden that is nicely kept up by the locals.

This is right in town, so worth the drive or rent a bike and visit. Nice birding and the cemetery is interesting (but depressing, not exactly a deluxe place to be buried).

We started our adventure knowing we would see some great wetlands and birds but when you get to the end of the boardwalk there is a great little park. It has things for the kids to play on, disk golf course, table under a shelter, places to fish from shore and an outhouse that was clean. I am unable to walk long distance and was able to take my mobility scooter all the way and it was great. Take the family on an adventure-pack a lunch and take a walk.

While staying in town at Cedar Key I was looking for a nice walk to get a little exercise. Cemetery Point fit the bill perfectly, complete with boardwalk through the marshes, fitness trail and interesting tombstones in the cemetery. Couldn't have asked for a better afternoon.

The walkway at this park is worth the walk. It takes you out over the marsh and has several points where you can sit and look out over the water for birds and wildlife. There is a cemetery that you can walk through although we did not do that.

Don't know how we missed this last year! We enjoyed walking there from Seahorse Landing. There is a boardwak right next to the cemetery entrance that takes you around the backside of the cemetery and ends at the Cemetery Point Park. There's a Disc Golf Course, walking trail and a fitness trail. The water views from the boardwalk and the trails are worth the walk. Then stroll through the cemetery to capture some history dating back to the mid-1800's.

A nice place to stop, and walk kind of above the marshy areas. May freak out the kids a bit, as the cemetery is off to the left (inland) a bit.

We always take our two daughters, ages 2 and 4, and any other family or friends when we come to Cedar Key. There is a small playground, a covered pavilion with two picnic tables, and benches that look out on the backwater. (And, though no one probably wants to talk about restrooms, there is a decent composting toilet near, but not too near). Perfect for a quiet afternoon.

Beautiful quiet walk along the shore. great for bird watching. The cemetery that adjoins it is also interesting for histroy buffs to walk through.

I love cemeteries. I wish the trail had taken you through the actual cemetery. Sad for me. However, there was a very nice boardwalk trail with several areas to stop and sit to enjoy the area. Once you get to the picnic area you can play disc golf, exercise and fish.

We did this walk in the early morning. The boardwalk is very well maintained and an easy walk. WE were able to see many birds on the tidal mud flats as it was low tide. The rosette spoonbills were very plentiful. The fitness trail at the end is also well maintained with signage to help with your exercise routine (it was too hot in July to do this). We walked the mud flats to see all the fiddler crabs and mullet jumping in the bay. We only saw one other couple on our walk, Cedar Key is truly a quite and safe place almost like stepping back in time.

If you enjoy a nice boardwalk & then looking at old cemetery stones, this is perfect. I think we went here 3 times. It's just that interesting, unkempt is part of the charm. Rent a golf cart, explore

Was in Cedar Key on business, but got some sight seeing in. The boardwalk around the area wasn't very intetesting, but just nice to walk outside on a beautiful day. The tombstones were not well kept, but they were still interesting, a good place for rubbings. One of the owners of the Island Hotel was buried there. Easy to get to, lots of parking.

We spent about 45 minutes looking around this old and new cemetery. There are a lot of old tombstones that were interesting and a lot of family plot with several family members buried close together.
I wish the cemetery was better taken care of.

This is a very old cemetery. My husband and I love to visit cemeteries on our travels. You learn a lot about a town's people by how they treat their dead. This cemetery had fenced areas for their family members' final resting place. Very interesting.

I enjoy walking different places to enjoy nature and this place didn't disappoint. There is a nice walkway going around the park where you can view different species of birds and if so inclined, walk the cemetery also. It's a peaceful place to enjoy nature.

This is a new park loaded with picnic area and a small play area for children. One reaches it by walking alone the shore via a boardwalk. It is on the "other side" of a cemetery. The park is a welcome addition to sights in this area. Other than describing sights or the pleasant atmosphere, photos best tell the story. One note, you will need to carry everything in to use the picnic area, or the exercise track and stations. There is a single modern restroom based on an out house design.

Took a walk and golf cart ride through the cemetery. has lots of history here and beautiful old trees with the hanging moss. beautiful scenery

We anticipated the boardwalk would be bigger, but it was just the right size for our travel companions (old and young). We were able to see quite a few birds along the way resting on the marsh, so bring binoculars to get a great view. Ideally, would be a nice spot for photographers to catch some pictures of birds if you have a quality telephoto lens.

Great place for a stroll and/or workout and beautiful views, very clean location, I love Cemeterys in general.

Very quiet lightly visited park with a board walk that carries you out to the natural marsh. Birds and fish abound.

This is a nice quiet place for a stroll and the sites are wonderful. wide enough for wheel chairs. Not many parking spots available, but not very busy

Easy, enjoyable walk on the boardwalk. Saw several various birds along the way. Park at the end of the boardwalk was inviting. Parking is difficult.

Beautiful old cemetery with walking trails, disk golf, exercise equipment. Picnic area. good fishing spot too!

No sightings of any ospreys or owls this time.Maybe it was b/c of low tide.Observed several boats getting stuck in mud flats

Came to this park searching for a geocache. Really glad I did. Excellent water views and a T-Rex head! Whut???

Really, we didn't have much to see. We were there during high tide, the end of March. And other than a nice little walk on the boardwalk, we didn't see may birds or anything else for that matter. We drove a golf cart all the way out to the cemetery and boardwalk and we were honestly disappointed. We drove by during low tide and although you could see more of the marsh, there still wasn't much to see.
Maybe we came at a bad time of year?

The day was hot and humid but the views, clouds, and the sighting of two Rails made this walk a highlight. So glad we walked it.

The boardwalk is a 1200 foot walk around the cemetery. It ends so you can walk through the cemetery on the way back to your vehicle. The cemetery has lots of history in it dating back to the 1800’s.

A long board walk goes along the shore into Cemetery Point Park. The park is small but nice, include a disc golf course and workout stations.

This is actually a nice walk that is not very far from the main town. I would recommend going once at high tide and again at low tide, to see the differences. It is a short walk, but bird watching is great.

We spent over an hour looking over these very head old stones. We found some from the 1830's. A very interesting cemetery if you like that sort of thing. Got lots of great photos.

I almost forgot about this beautiful place. It's a very nice walk on a great boardwalk and you can see wildlife. We were driving around Cedar Key and found this by accident and were so happy we did.

Limited parking!!!! Nicely maintained boardwalk overlooking the marsh. Very peaceful and lovely stroll. Worth stopping and doing.

We spent a morning at this park while it was low tide. We walked the boardwalk to the park. The tide was out and we were able to see many different variety of birds feeding in the leftover tide pools. There is a free binocular on the boardwalk to help in viewing the birds in their natural habitat. As we walked through the park, we were able to enjoy the fitness trail and the extremely well thought out placement of some of the work out equipment for the views while enjoying a work out. The chairs and benches placed through out this little park are charming and the composting toilet is a perfect addition to the integrity of this park. We loved it!

Great place for a walk. Nice Boardwalk. Restful atmosphere. Benches for contemplation. Birds flying around. Ducks and shore birds

This bigger-than-expected cemetery is full of quirk, if you take the time to walk around the gravestones under the ancient oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Take your camera for some memorable shots! Then, to get your steps in for the day, right there is the boardwalk that takes you to ... well, it's a surprise but it's spelled b-e-a-c-h!

Had 25 bird sitings on a good day. Saw Clapper Rail and several warblers on boardwalk. Favorite birding place for regulars.

Nice park...trail is on the water. Cemetery has history. It was a nice adventure. The area surrounding the park is beautiful.

What a find. Surrounding an old cemetery is a boardwalk where you walk through the local fauna with beautiful views of the water and small islands. There are benches at the end where you will find a very peaceful reflective place to sit and take in the scenery. There is a fitness walk at the end as well. Great place to walk your dog or children.

Got to see some cool birds! Nice walk and view. Perfect for Nature Lovers. Very old cemetery. They also provide exercise machines and dogs are permitted.

Worth coming out to see!
Was here about 10 years ago and remembered the water under the boardwalk filled with wildlife as we walked above it. Now the water was way out, there were mud flats 100+ yds away from the boardwalk. The boardwalk had tall grass and mangrove bushes under it. I can't say it was just low tide - I think something has changed here.
Still love the boardwalk that leads to newly improved park with fitness trail. There where lots of seats to look out over the water.
There is additional parking across the seat if the parking spots by the park entrance is full. We didn't see the extra parking at first- it's not marked well.

Very pretty spot for a stroll, or frisbee golf! I enjoyed walking through the cemetery and reading the markers. BTW the Real Jimmy the Greek is not buried here, he is buried elsewhere!

Park to left of the entrance and follow the “boardwalk”. A quiet scenic walk along the water. You’ll see wildlife and old partially sunken boats. There’s a fitness course, disc golf course, and a few pieces of exercise equipment that face the water. Walk off all the desserts you’ve been eating while on vacation.

When we stayed in Cedar Key recently, we looked into places to go/see & came upon this park with the wood walkway. We didn't see anything out of the ordinary that day, as it was low tide when were on the walkway.

The trail begins at the entrance to the cemetery, takes the hiker on a boardwalk over a marsh with lovely ad peaceful views of the water and returns the hiker to tour the cemetery and the many former residents of Cedar Key who are resting eternally. It is both serene and peaceful, a wonderful place to walk.

Found this park by accident after visiting state park. Good view of bay with abundance of birds to view.

Moody place to poke around without being disrespectful. Boardwalk and birdwatching. Well-maintained. Port a potty.
Water fountain not working.

This boardwalk is great by foot or by bike. Stunning views on all sides. Do watch out for tiny crabs and salamanders (?) that will be scurrying all over (though mostly out of your way) as you walk/bike through this.

My Wife and I were spending a week in Cedar Key. We had brought our bicycles so decided to ride from Dock street around the Key. We found the Cemetery and noticed the boardwalk. We locked up our bikes and walked the full length of the boardwalk. The views were unreal! Looking over the water in the Bay, hard to describe how relaxing it all was. A great way to spend some time. Would we do it again? Without a doubt!!!

Cedar Key is one of the safest places I have ever been. When I walk the board walk it is so nice to know that I am safe. I can enjoy the incredible water views. Do some stretching exercises, take some photos, go fishing, have a picnic lunch and I know I am safe. I can walk the board walk during the day or at night when I can't sleep or need to clear my thoughts and I know it is safe. Not many places in this world you can say this anymore. Cedar Key is a simple kind of place where people still watch out for each other.

An opportunity to get out into the heart of Cedar Key landscape. a nicely maintaned boardwalk skirts the water giving you a glimpse at wildlife. A park that includes a frisbee golf course is at the end. Don't forget your bug spray. Lots of no see ums.

Old Cemetery with a lot of history! we walked around and took the walkway around the area. and was told by locals that to go find Waldo! so we did i will not give it away but if you go and want a good laugh and have a sense of humor you will be pleased. we enjoyed seeing the history and scenery around this area!

Limited birds this time of year but nice walk! Ospreys and osprey nest in park. Old cemetery interesting.

Enjoyed the drive around this historic cemetery. Especially enjoyed the boardwalk over the water, parking on the left as you enter. Didn’t have much time at the the park itself, but plan to return. Great setting with numerous trails.

We parked our bikes at the entrance and had a very nice walk through the park utilizing some of the exercise equipment and taking a few excellent pictures.

Nice place to go for a walk on the boardwalk, frisbee golf, or a bit of fishing. Just a nice place to spend a little time in the peace of nature.

My husband and I took our two dogs for a walk around the park and really enjoyed walking right along the waters edge. We also took a walk around the cemetery and saw several interesting headstones.

This is a very tranquil board walk through the mangroves and alongside one of the local cemeteries. It ends with a small park where you can also play frisbee golf. There’s a place where you can fish as well and have a picnic. Definitely a lovely place just to get away from all the tourism

Walked down the wooden walkway and was very upset to see all the wooden boards from fixing parts of the walkway floating in the water. Them came to one of the viewing decks at the end and all the nails were rusted through and the boards when stepped on came up. Need some repairs for sure.
Did enjoy walking back through the cemetery and looking how pretty some of them are maintained.

My husband and I went to CPP alone to fish but it's a spot for families. Nice park with a pavilion, benches and park. It's a nice beach area looking out to the channels and cedar key. We saw tons of dolphins. Keep in mind it's pretty muddy once you're in the water but you're not sinking to your knees or anything. The boardwalk to it is long for some but it's a great view. The parking isn't the best, it's small.

We are staying on the South end of town so Cemetery Point is our half way point where we walk it and turn around.
They due have a bathroom but it’s not fit to use. I don’t know who is responsible for cleaning it but it needs attention.
Other then that there are some great view and variety of birds to see.

The cemetary itself was an interesting conglomerate of headstone designed, some even looked like above ground caskets. The park had stations for frisbee-type golf which seemed a bit quirky. The long boardwalk along the water was the highlight for us.

A lovely place for a stroll! Sweet boardwalks and views. If one is interested in a work out, there is some outdoor equipment to use.

This is a nice activity to do. You can get close to the spoonbill birds, go fishing, exercise, etc. Be sure to go during the day, to avoid the no-see-ums and watch for fire ant mounds!

This was al ovally ½ title walk out to the end of the park giving one a beautiful view across the mud flats back toward Cedar Key

Nice place for bird watching and there were people fishing along the shore. Fitness trail and cemetery with old headstones there.

In addition to the wildlife, there is a nice trail to follow and exercise equipment is available along the route if you want to stop and do something besides walk. Great water views and an osprey eating a fish.

The walk was interesting, and the fitness equipment you find along the way is an inventive touch. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip over there.

This relatively new park offers a long boardwalk with a great view of the Gulf for birdwatching, a frisbee golf course, and a fitness trail. It's a very quiet place to relax.

What a great park that has wonderful views and trails. It is small but it’s still a gem. It does include and exercise trail and a small frisbee golf course. It also provides for places to fish.
One of my favorite aspects is that it’s attached to the town cemetery which also is a great place to walk through and to see the individuality of each gravesite.
I strongly recommend that you visit Cemetery Point Park while you are in Cedar Key. You will not be disappointed.

We always visit this spot when we are in Cedar Key. Nice boardwalk and park. Great birdwatching! Dogs welcome. They even have a bowl in the park at the water fountain. Poopy bags at the entrance to the boardwalk. And oh, benches along the way to stop and watch or rest.

Was fun walking around this little boardwalk area. There are fishing spots from here and there is also a small par cours trail that looked like it would have been fun had we been prepared for it.

We rented golf carts and toured around the island, detouring through cemetery point park. It's pretty interesting to see grave sites from the 1800s and how the park is laid out. Beautiful big trees, hills, easy to manage.

We actually went to see the park and ended up enjoying the cemetery. Some locals have left some really cool items on some of the graves such as cut bottles with glass flowers on top. Some graves are above ground. Very interesting to look at the age of some of the graves. This is worth the little drive out of town.

Nice to visit if you are staying on Cedar Key but probably not worth a drive from the mainland. I did love the boardwalk and saw several bird species including an Eagle.

There is a graveyard adjacent to the very long boardwalk. We rode through the cemettery which had very old a pond quite new stones. The boardwalk extends quite a way out over the marshes. It was very hot the day we went there and decided to not walk very far on the boardwalk.

We visited this area by golf cart knowing parking has room for only a few cars. We walked about 2/3 of the way out on the boardwalk. There were several places to stop along the way.
The cemetery has some beautiful flowering trees which could be viewed from the boardwalk.
In the cemetery There were some very old burial sites and some modern ones. I would bet the flowers would be beautiful most of the year. Worth a visit while in Cedar Key.

A lovely, tranquil boardwalk leading to a scenic and relaxing area where you can meditate, picnic, fish, dip your toes in the Gulf of Mexico. Along the boardwalk are some seating benches and trash bins. At the end of the boardwalk are signs for different stretching techniques to limber up or cool down. Native trees, plants and mangroves encompass the beautiful surroundings. If you seek simplicity and natural beauty this is must see. Great for birding and taking photos. Great spot to set up an easel and paint a memory, go for a jog or a leisurely stroll. Bring water and mosquito repellent just in case.

We enjoy the serenity and peaceful ambiance of cemeteries allow us to look for old ones everywhere we visit. Cemetery Point Park is not just the graveyard though, there is a fit-trail, a nine-“hole,” frisbee golf course with an excellent view of the marshes surrounding Cedar Key. Opportunities for fishing and birding from the park are also available

The park consists of walking through a marsh, on a wooden boardwalk, alongside a cemetery which explains A LOT of Cedar Key’s history. Once on solid ground, their is an exercise circuit, some platforms to fish and a wonderful, serene view of the bird life. I highly recommend this place.

We stumbled on this while driving around Cedar Key. This is a board walk that goes out through the mangroves and around a historic cemethary. We saw some people that were there bird watching which there were a lot of. The board walk is in very good condition with several sitting areas along the way. At the end of the board walk is a disc golf course that is well maintained. The Cedar Key cemetery next to the board walk is also interesting with grave markers back into the 1800's.

This was a really nice spot. There is a beautiful walk on a boardwalk that takes you out into the lagoon with some very pretty views. There's the cemetery itself. Then the little park at the end of the boardwalk is super cute, with pet accommodations, a frisbee golf course, another short boardwalk, and a John Muir sculpture/architecture (my favorite bit, don't miss it).

We walked from the visitor center in town to this park, which has a nice boardwalk, clean restrooms and a fitness trail. We went at the wrong time of day/tides to see much bird activity, but it was still and enjoyable visit. Low tide is the time to go.

We walk every day we are in Cedar Key, and this route is one of my favorites. It is quiet, calming, and a lovely place to "chill" and enjoy.

Debating whether the boardwalk over the marsh at the edge of the bay or the interesting tombstones were the highlight. I spent an hour just wandering through the cemetery, then found the entrance to the boardwalk. Pick a cloudy day.

This park is a very good place to visit. It has a nice boardwalk and observation deck, picnic facilities and a fishing area. We took advantage of the fishing area and were very pleased with the results. Do need more parking.

We enjoyed riding our bikes along the long winding boardwalk into the park. Nice views of the water, and an excellent place for a picnic.

Cedar Key obviously has no code enforcement because one passes through some horrendous developments to get to this peaceful end space for locals. Reading the markers is fascinating; some are genuinely heartwarming, others frightening in their violent gun-toting rhetoric.

I liked the boardwalk and fitness equipment overlooking the bay at trails end. I didn't go through the cemetery so I parked immediately at the entrance.

Cedar Keys is quite remote. This walk (enter by cemetery) takes you over the marsh ending at a frisbee golf site. OK/Pretty but not worth h driving all the way out just for this.
If you do come get gas before leaving "civilization". No gas stations between Donnellan and Cedar Keys!!

An elevated wood walkway through the tidal marsh. Good for birders and others who want to get a view of the marsh without ruining their shoes! OK for kids and people with limited mobility. Great views of the salt marsh and shorebirds.

This park is Unusual as it is based around an old Cemetery w/ a Beautiful Boardwalk! The Boardwalk on the left side has marshes variety of trees, flowers, saw huge spider w/ a web nestled between 2 trees. Saw the gulf on the right varied w/ benches w/ a couple lookout points to see the town and homes across the gulf as well. This leads to a fitness trail, w/ a couple portable Portable Toilets a sign tells ya what’s further on your pathway. 1 place was closed for renovation . There was another lookout area on the sandy beach area to see fish birds and the like. You can go thru a pathway around the gateway back to the cemetery to hike the trail up exploring it but be respectful of it as well.. There is also a heart trail we tried the bicycle, skis, and a treadmill.

Lovely little park with a fitness trail that I used. Would be a great place for a quiet picnic lunch too. Has a restroom, and binoculars to view the bay. I enjoyed the park and went every morning of my Cedar Key experience.

I've been going to Cedar Key for several years now and just now writing some reviews about it. It's one of my favorite places to go. I enjoy the Island and have a few of my favorite haunts, and this is one. I love riding a bike or running and exploring the Island. This is a short & peaceful little Boardwalk to do. It is very calming and I've never run into many folks on it, so if you're looking for a meditative place to go...with a little wildlife observing, this is a great place. I have also included it in my 'runs' and if you're a little more active, there are quasi work-out stations (not the best, but there nonetheless) when you get off the board walk area. I've also seen some folks fishing back there too. I also have enjoyed the little cemetery beside it - with some older gravestones from a time gone by...if you have a curiosity for that sort of thing.

A boardwalk over the marsh with great vistas. Good place to watch birds. Morning and evening likely better than midday, when we visited. Still, plentiful egrets and herons. Fitness trail for those who are so inclined.

This was a great walk along a boardwalk. Gorgeous salt marsh views. We didn't fish, but there seemed to be some good spots along the trail after you get off the boardwalk.

Amazing walking trail. Worth a stop but if you do not like to get bitten by mosquitos and do not have spray then do not make this walk. Lots of wildlife saw a blue heron, pink spoonbill to mention a few birds. The boardwalk is a great place to see nature.

This was my favorite thing to do in Cedar Key. It's a decent park with diverse options including - who knew - a disc golf course (short, small, but good for your intermediate and short game). The views of the mango-ey Gulf were very nice. There is a little birding area. A cemetery next door added a lot to my experience. It's always great considering your own mortality. I found graves from people born before the Civil War.

A nice boardwalk with seating along the way leading to a lovely simple park and beachy area. A few picnic tables. Signs showing you different stretching techniques. Good for morning birding. Egrets, ibis, ospreys are just a few of the birds you will see. Simple family fun. Great for photography fanatics. Bring binoculars, water and maybe bug spray too. Cedar Key the best place to be.

We really enjoyed our quiet walk and time looking at the cemetery. Many of the grave markers were from the mid-1800 and the designs were interesting to see.
The board walk over the grasses was well made and provided a pleasant view of the estuary. If you enjoy quiet and new sights, it is well worth the short drive.

This is the perfect spot to watch and photograph birds. During the winter months there are usually Great Horned Owls nesting in the cemetery and it's safe to say it's hard to visiting without seeing multiple Osprey.
If at low tide, the marsh behind the cemetery will be loaded with birds for your photographic pleasure
This was a very interesting nature walk. I would have liked more signs explaining the nature and history during the walk, but what a great way to experience the natural habitat of Cedar Key!
