Great tour. Haley knew her history and was as cute as a button. Trinity, our tasting specialist was also very helpful...and fun. The tour is worth it. My hubby bought the Chatt 91 because he liked it a lot. I loved their Old Fashioned cocktail. It was my first, and it was tasty.

Did not do the tour, just the tastings but Billy (at the bar) was very helpful explaining the different processes for each tasting we did. The Chatt Whiskey Silver was a real surprise and we will definitely take some home! The flagship Chatt Whiskey 91 is fabulous too. I was pleasantly surprised by the 99 Rye - much smoother than I expected! Great experience overall and fun to hear about their experimental recipes!

Our tour guide was Hollis; I was impressed with how much he knew. It wasn't just a marketing tour - I really learned about the history and making of bourbon and rye in Tennessee. It was interesting. Trinity and the other servers for the 3 pm 8/21/21 tour were helpful. My group had fun at the tasting largely because of them. And the whiskey is good! A positive experience all around.

Loved the environment as I was traveling with cousins. Trinity was delightful as she educated us on whiskey. Great gift from Chattanooga!

Kaitlan and Jaime where great bar keeps and very good at explaining the whiskeys presented for tasting. I have been to many distilleries and was pleasantly surprised by the lack quality of the whiskey. The he 91 was extremely smooth and for a two year aging Chad more like a 10 year bourbon. Great place for a tasting

Jake and Ethan made this a must do stop! We were too early for a flight tasting but they made sure we knew what we needed to, in order to bring home a bottle of the 111. They were so great answering all our questions not just about the whiskey but about the area! After tasting my purchase I have to say they knew what they were talking about! Don’t miss this spot if you are in the area!

Not a whisky drinker, but when visiting Chattanooga thought it was a good time to try whiskey. The presentation and experience was excellent. Maybe going forward I will occasionally drink whiskey.

Our guide, Kate was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! She answered all of our questions and was passionate about the business and the distilling process. Caleb, the bartender was very kind too! We loved the whiskey and bought a few bottles for ourselves and some for gifts. Recommend the tour and tasting!

A very interesting way to spend part of an afternoon in Chattanooga! Great tour and some very good whiskey being made here! Good history of the company, how they're doing what they're doing, and what it takes to make great whiskey in this day & age. Yes, we brought some home! Special mentions to Hollis (tour), Molly (at the bar), and Ethan (guest relations / bar). A very welcoming staff who really seem to appreciate their customers and are enthusiastic about their company and the quality whiskey they produce!

It is a lovely small distillery. The staff is extremely friendly and really trying to answer all the questions one might have. Katherine was exceptional, special thanks to her. The tasting was fun and the store has interesting things, souvenirs, and whiskey, of course

Had a great time learning about distilling whiskey. Our tour guide Billy did a great job explaining all the steps and answering questions. Then during the tastings at the bar, Sam and Tony were very helpful and informative. All of the staff was super friendly.

A very good friend, Craig Scates advised that if I was ever in Chattanooga, to definitely go by The Chattanooga Whiskey Distillery. I did just that as we were taking our son back to college and were overnighting in Chattanooga. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by Gracie.

We chatted a bit about the distillery and then were able to sample the 91, 111 and the 99 "Rye". Sam, Tony and Gracie hosted with excellent Southern Hospitality. A great experience and I will return with my wife on our next visit.

I was quite pleased with the tasting and walked out with a case of Whiskey to take home and share with family and friends as we are unable to purchase in our home state at this time.

A great tour & tasting....Ethan was terrific....very knowledgeable ..I am a Bourbon fan. This is a really good product. Hollis,Caleb & Dillon were also very helpful. If you live in Chattanooga or visiting..make a reservation. It will be one of the highlights of what Chattanooga has to offer.

We had a fantastic experience touring Chattanooga Whiskey! We spent the weekend doing a section of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and @chattwhiskey did not disappoint. Smiley was an excellent tour guide, and Kat set us up with a great tasting. We will definitely be back!

I don’t even like whiskey, but I loved this place! Emma was adorable and gave a very interesting tour. The facility is small but had a wonderfully creative vibe. Alea was our very friendly bartender who gave generous pours. We had a tasting of 6 different whiskies and got to try a few more. Very cool!

I got to enjoy a flight of the different whisky they offer this afternoon and had an amazing experience. Jamie was super knowledgeable and had the best puns! Cat, Alex, and Kaitlin were so great as well! They were helpful and were super attentive to us the whole time we were there. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in town!

If you are interested in Bourbon especially from smaller distilleries, then I recommend this tour. The staff are very personable and informed. The price is reasonable and they offer a wonderful Tasting afterwards. Don't miss this piece of Chattanooga history.

We were driving down I-24 to Macon, GA and decided to stop in Chattanooga for lunch. Saw that Chattanooga Whiskey was right off the interstate, so we stopped by. Jumped on the noon tour with another couple and got a Goldilocks tutorial on distilling: not too much information and not too brief. Trinity was an excellent guide with her southern drawl and chill demeanor. The tasting at the end was generous and DELISH. They make some awesome bourbon. We left with several bottles. Definitely recommend.

I am new to whiskey/bourbon and had a lot of questions. Our tour guide, Catherine, was gracious and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed learning the history of the industry as well as how whiskey is produced!
When our tour was finished we got to sample 6 different bourbons, which generated more questions! Our bartender, Kate was equally knowledgeable, and let us sample at our own pace. I never felt rushed or like I was in the way.
This was a fun, informative way to spend an hour or so.

We had a great afternoon in the charming town of Chattanooga, highlighted by the fun tour at the distillery. Hollis gave an informative, amusing tour, and we enjoyed the tasting. It was a good deal, too -- $15 for the tour and a tasting flight of four whiskeys and small old fashioned. A great way to spend time in Chattanooga!

Visited with my 25 year old son..The tour with friendly and extremely knowledgeable Laura was interesting . The tasting was lots of fun with the friendly bartenders. Purchased a bottle of mint infused bourbon which is refreshing fun drink when mixed with club soda. If you like spicy, be sure to buy the whiskey fire pecans which are an addictive sweet and spicy treat!

We shared the 9 tastings for $18! Someone explained everything about each taste. And ended up buying a bottle!

Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable of the products and share a passion for whiskey. Caleb easily gave one of the best distillery tours I’ve attended, knowing the ins and outs of the Chattanooga Whiskey brand. Molly and Taylor were behind the bar for the guided tasting session, both enlivening the atmosphere and sharing some of their favorite experimental distillations from years past. I wound up sitting at the bar for a bit longer than the rest of my tour group and met Sam, Emma and Dylan, who all bring more character to this little distillery in the heart of Chattanooga. If you’re looking for a place with fine spirits, exciting new flavors, and wonderful people, this is the place to go.

While I was in town on business, my dad and I stopped in yesterday, I would highly recommend this place to any whiskey lover! We had a great tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable (apologies for forgetting his name), and the flight at the end was fantastic! I left with a bottle to bring home to Minnesota and have my fingers crossed that they start to distribute there soon.

What a fun experience! My wife and I have been to a couple of brewery/distillery tours and this was was special for sure. This is a unique disterllery with cool history and a great product. We had a 2PM appointment and we were greeted by Gracie for our tour. She did a great job! I learned a lot. The uniqueness of this distillery is in the experimental aspect. It is the only exoerimental distillery in the US. Very interesting!

Such a neat place right in the heart of Chattanooga! If you enjoy whiskey and distillery tours, put this one on your list. The tasting was also fun. The Silver was a bit strong for me and my wife but everyone has different tastes. The 91 and 56 (Honey) are really smooth sipping whiskeys. Book a tour and enjoy!

Side stop traveling through Chattanooga, Tennessee - Chattanooga Whiskey tour was interesting and humorous let by Hollis, and a tasting flat at the end with great information provided by Javon, Kyle and Will. Totally enjoyed the visit and parking is easy right across the street or in front.

The tastings stop at 7 so we didn’t get to try those :( but an employee there allowed us to sample a few which was awesome! We also got a free birthday sticker.

Had a great tour and tasting experience. Jake was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and Smiley and Ethan made our tasting an enjoyable one. It was just me and my friend on the tour; I would allow 1-1.30 hour for the whole experience. It was definitely worth including in the day trip to Chattanooga.

We walked in late and I asked if we could still do a tour. The gentleman at the counter checked if we could get in and Haley welcomed us to the final tour. She was knowledgeable, pleasant, funny and captivating. I enjoyed the tour and at the end the tasting was run by a lovely young lady whose name I forget but started with an A. She also was fantastic! They are patient and generous with their pours without being too generous. I will always stop by when I’m in town!

First time at this distillery and can’t wait to come back! Our tour guide, Taylor, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and was able to tell us more about the history which I found really interesting! Our bartender, Jamie, was fantastic describing the options we had for tasting and walking us through each selection on our flight! 10/10!!

I had never done a whiskey tasting before and loved doing it here. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to explain the differences in each kind. I liked that they told us about the whiskeys and then we were able to try them at our own pace. It was a great touch that they included an old fashioned with the tasting as well. I picked up my favorite one for purchase by the door.

Had a great tour, but still require masks (mandate has been lifted here). Taylor and Sarah were great. Sarah was very knowledgeable and personable. Taylor made sure that we knew all about each tasting and kept us with water also.

We had Ethan for our tour guide and Caleb as our bartender. It was an excellent tour and we learned a lot about distilling and enjoyed the history specific to Chattanooga Whiskey. Our tour guide, Laura, was full of interesting knowledge and we had a great time hearing about the experimental distillery. Then you move on to the tastings where the bar tender, Sarah, tells you all about the 6 whiskey's you will be tasting. We had a great time and will be bringing guests next time for the tour and tasting.

Sam was awesome! I was traveling solo and saw this place while walking by so decided to stop in. I missed the tour, but Sam set me up with a flight and gave me a taste of the rye, too, which ended up being my favorite!

We enjoyed today a tour from Jamie who was very informative and explained things in a way easily understood. At the end for a tasting of six samples, bartender Kate was equally knowledgeable and good to talk to. This was a fun 90 minutes. Then we bought what we liked.

Alea, Trinity, and the gang (I missed the guys’ names) were great—friendly and knowledgeable and upbeat. I had a great time, and I don’t even drink whiskey. I think that says a lot. It was an interesting tour, and you could really see the staff’s enthusiasm about the distillery and the products. It was contagious. Oh, and my friend, who is a whiskey-drinker, loved their bourbon! We’ll be back.

The whiskey is awful. We tried the flights. Two of the offerings are cocktails. All of it tasted like gasoline or rubbing alcohol. If you really enjoy whiskey/bourbon I would skip this distillery.

Alex was our guide for our personal tour (myself and my boyfriend), he was knowledgeable and engaging during our tour and answered all our questions professionally. Cat was our bartender that had our flights ready for after our tour an explained each flight to us, overall it was a great a tour. My boyfriend and I love whiskey/bourbon and this was our first tour of a whiskey distillery. Of course COVID has limited what they normally do on these tours, but you wouldn't know any different. Would recommend visiting and touring their distillery if you are in the area.

I wasn't sure what to expect. My daughter saw this advertised and wanted to go. I was pleasantly surprised. We learned about the history of prohibition in Tennessee/Chattanooga area. The tour was very informative regarding the process of making whiskey. I never knew there were charred barrels and then to learn the barrels can be used only one time. Questions were asked and were answered. The staff, Caleb, Ethan and Catheryn, were very informative and professional. At the end of the tour we had our flight tasting at the bar. This is where my daughter and I decided what we would purchase. This tour was very informative, relaxing and fun!

Hollis gave an excellent tour. (We were on the 3:00 tour on Saturday, August 21.) He described the history of the distillery, pointed out all the salient points in the distillation process and what kind of whiskey experiments were conducted at the distillery. Hollis was clear and patient. He asked for questions and answered all in a careful, direct way. After the tour Hollis conducted us to the tasting bar, where three friendly bartenders, including Gabe and Trinity, treated us to liberal tastes of four products of the distillery, plus mini old fashion and mint juleps. A fun time all around!

My barbershop quartet had a rehearsal in Chattanooga and we decided to visit, tour, and try some Chattanooga Whiskey. Fantastic tour, Alex really knows his stuff. The tasting was amazing. Thanks to Julia and Dillon, our bartenders. Got to try all the stuff. We all agreed, y’all make the best old fashioned.

Stop what you’re doing and get here now! But... before you come call and reserve a spot for the tour. If you’re lucky you’ll have the most awesome and knowledgeable snow bunny ever named Brit. Brit was a super guide and was able to answer questions and give us some great history lessons. My wife and I have done a few distillery tours and she is our favorite by far and made our trip to Chattanooga. The tasting afterwards was another highlight of our trip. The wife learned she’s not a high malt fan. However, I now have a new bottle that has a permanent place on my bar.

A friend of mine and I dropped in last week. We had Parker for our tour guide and Katelyn (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) for our bartender during the tasting. Both of them were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Awesome to sit and talk whiskey with!
The atmosphere at this location is down to earth. Small but awesome lobby and stave cave backed by a real experimental distillery operation. The sweet smell of mash fermenting and whiskey aging in barrels will keep you smiling the whole time.
If you’re anywhere near the Chattanooga area, swing by this place! It’s worth the trip!

Taylor provided an awesome tasting experience! Definitely bought more bottles of whiskey than we plans and had the BEST old fashion I have ever had.

The history lesson of the distillery was great. Kate was our guide and she was very knowledgeable. She helped us learn much about the process of making whiskey. This was our very first distillery tour but the couple we went with have toured a few distilleries and they said this tour was great.

Jake our bartender was awesome too. We learned some more information and found our favorites during the tastings.

Took a distillery tour with Parker who was so helpful and informative and we learned about the incredible history of whiskey distillery’s in Chattanooga and then Smiley did a flight tasting tour and we learned even more, awesome whiskey made with malted grains, love love love the Cask 111.

Taylor did an outstanding job taking our small group through this distillery’s history, the process, the storage, and the products … all interesting through her easy to appreciate approach. As a one-hour tour, the time passed quickly, while the tasting afterwards, served and explained by Peyton, capped off a fine morning: 4 whiskeys, a botanical and a cocktail made for fine day drinking … we only wish they had a food menu as well; we would have stayed the afternoon! And, we bought a number of bottles from our tasting, at very good value.

Am not much of a whiskey drinker but thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Sara was excellent tour guide and Dylan was fantastic and knowledgeable bar tender!

Went to the tour and tasting on 12/30/20 and had a great time! Kate and Kaitlyn were our tour guide and bartender and were not only knowledgeable but tons of fun and willing to give all the extra info they had on spirits. Wanted to go back the next day! A must do for not only whiskey and bourbon lovers, but for anyone who loves a good drink, a bit of science and some history!

We have done the actual tour a handful of times, but today was just a quick stop in to grab a few items. Got to sample the mint experimental whiskey and it’s like York peppermint in a bottle. Yummy! So, I grabbed that and the hubby grabbed the Rye. We love old fashions. Make this a stop while in Chattanooga. You’ll thank me later.

The bourbon market is flooded and a product has to be really good and crafted for the long haul to be a success. The proof is the tasting and Chattanooga is doing it the right way. The whiskey has reached 4+ yrs of maturity in most cases and both the bourbon and rye are very tasty. They have earned a spot on my bar and I will certainly be a repeat customer.
Glad to support a “craft” distiller that makes a product well worth buying vs. so many other upstarts slapping a label on someone elses whiskey. These folks put in the time and effort and it tastes like it, well done!!

Great time with Hollis learning about how to distill whiskey!! My wife and I would whole heartedly recommend this to anyone that wants to know the techniques utilized in the distillation process.

Smiley was a terrific host. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the whiskey production and profiles. The "experiment" small batches are very interesting and a thrill for the whiskey/Bourbon lover.

This was a very nice tour (about an hour). Learned a lot about whiskey and the origins in Chattanooga, ending with a tasting. Nice distillery and fun and informative guides. Definitely something a tourist should do.

The tour is about an hour long and is very informative about the history, science and barreling of the whiskey. At the end, the tasting was already set up and we got to try 6 whiskeys plus a few extras within reason, as well as their canned seltzer type product. They officers complimentary water, cola, ginger ale etc and also gave 2 chocolate malt ball samples. I really needed the ginger ale as I don’t drink whiskey straight.

The fun thing about this place is they offer traditional (someone as they are experimenting with roasts, charring etc. which enhances flavors) to infusions that almost mimic gin. My husband really liked the clear before it hit the barrel stuff - that’s the unique stuff you don’t find at your every day distillery.

Visited on 9/26. Nice walk through the history of distilleries in Tennessee and what makes Chatt Whiskey unique. Sara gave an excellent tour, explaining the distilling and aging processes as well as the legal battles required for this distillery to even exist. Andrew and Billy led a nice tasting of several standard offerings as well as some very interesting one-off batches (as one might expect at an "experimental distillery"). Good tour for any fan of spirits, especially bourbon.

The whiskey they distill is unmatched! A laid back atmosphere with serious whiskey. Ethan, Laura and Caleb are the greatest!! They know their stuff and they make you feel like you're a part of the family! I highly recommend the distillery tour and the tasting, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

This was a great little distillery in downtown Chattanooga near breweries and restaurants. Ethan's tour was very informative but not too long so we got to the tasting without too much delay. Julia and Sam were are bartenders for the tasting which included 7 samples of the various recipes including their current experimental recipes. We really enjoyed the whiskey and the people on the tour. Stop in to tour and taste or buy a couple of bottles to take home. Highly recommended!!

Great little tour and tasting with fun staff! It’s unique as it’s one of a kind whiskey. You can’t tour the big Chattanooga Whiskey distillery so this is your option here.

My husband and I wanted to check out the making of whiskey and our tour guide just nailed it! She was so informative and fun. And then the generous sampling that comes with the tour put this experience over the top! It was so fun to taste the mixes that are sold publicly but also taste some of their new concoctions. The bartender was great as well and made this so fun and informative!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. We had hoped to take a tour and possibly have a tasting. Tasting and tours are sold together, so you can’t do one without the other. We were not expecting such a large number of people to be waiting for tours. If you plan to visit, definitely book ahead. We were able to purchase some bourbon and take it home with us; we enjoyed it very much.

Hollis led an interesting tour, and Alea did a great job of educating us about the different kinds of bourbon.

This is a great place. Fantastic atmosphere, several whiskey options, great folks working there. You don’t have to do the tour - just sample some whiskey and buy a bottle on the way out. Cheers!

Our guide, Taylor, was enthusiastic, friendly, and (best of all) well informed on the history and whiskey making process. My husband and I lucked into a ‘private’ tour due to COVID restrictions so has plenty of time for in-depth views of the equipment and facility — and Taylor answered every one of our many questions with accurate, informed responses. We were thoroughly engaged the whole time. The tasting at the end allowed a sampling of their regular retail offerings and their current speciality distillates. Sam, our bartender, provided some additional tasting tips for each of the 5 whiskeys in the flight.
We would recommend this as a great way to gain in-depth historical knowledge, with a treat of the tasting to top off an afternoon in Chattanooga!

We're here for the weekend to attend a wedding. My son-in-law and I were looking for an unusual activity. Chattanooga Whiskey was the perfect excursion. Will lead a small group of us on an tour of the Whiskey Experimental Lab and Sam took care of us during the tasting. Both parts were informative and fun!

My son and I visited the distillery on Aug 19, 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Molly, gave us a solid overview of the distillery’s history, production process and innovative approach to develop an evolving range of whiskey products using a small batch still, which when desired can be scaled up on a larger scale still. The tasting consisted of an interesting collection of six currently available products, all barrel-aged on site, including several outstanding whiskeys available only at the distillery. We will undoubtedly return periodically to enjoy new experimental batches. Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery is a must-see experience for whiskey lovers visiting the area.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Chattanooga. Our tour was led by Trinity. She was knowledgeable and fun! Truly a top notch guide through the distillery. Our bartender was Ethan. He walked through the different whiskey's with ease. Very knowledgeable.

My wife and I attended an afternoon tour on a whim. Note that the tour sizes are small right now (6 people) and walk ins are accepted, but you can reserve by phone. Tours are about $15 per person, and they come with a tasting flight.

We have very little whiskey experience but we’re excited to learn about the craft, and this experience did not disappoint. Our tour guide, Britt, gave a thorough rundown of the interesting history of whiskey in Chattanooga. We then had the chance to tour the areas where experimental batches are distilled and kept in barrels. It is a small facility, but Britt did a great job of explaining the process, and she patiently answered our novice questions. The whole thing was interesting and I have a greater respect for the craft of distilling after the tour.

The tasting was predictably the highlight of the whole thing. Kate explained the whiskeys to us, and gave a helpful tutorial on how to get the most out of the tasting experience. I was surprised by the range of aromas and flavors in the flight, and I found myself really enjoying most of the whiskeys even though I never considered myself much of a liquor person. Maybe I’ve just been having bad whiskey!

We are very glad we decided to stop by and do this tour, and we consider it one of the best experiences we had while visiting Chattanooga. I recommend it if you have any sort of interest in the history, making, and tasting of whiskey or alcohol in general.

We went on the tour and tasting at Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery today. Ethan, our tour guide, was friendly and so knowledgeable! Kyle, the bartender, was also terrific. They both answered everyone's questions about whiskey, bourbon and all the varieties we tasted. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour (or more)! I highly recommend!

This is a must if you're ever in Chattanooga! Caitlin was our tour guide and she was extremely passionate and engaging! Really enjoyed this tour. After learning about the history of the distillery we headed to the bar for our tasting. Smiley was an amazing bartender!

We visited the distillery as a birthday gift to my husband, who loves his bourbon and is pretty knowledgeable about it. He has been on several distillery tours, and knows the process pretty well. He was pleasantly surprised by Katelin! She taught us both so much, while at the same time keeping things fun and interesting.
This is a pretty small distillery, being experimental, but is obviously run by people with a passion and love for what they do.
I'm not a bourbon drinker myself, but my husband says it is his new favorite brand. He was pleasantly surprised by the experimental batch he tried with his flight, and bought one to take home. They also made a great old-fashioned that I even liked!
He was so impressed that he is already planning to go back with our daughter, who likes bourbon as much as her dad does.
If you enjoy distillery tours, and love bourbon (or love someone else who does), this tour is a don't miss!

I'm a big bourbon fan but appreciate Tennessee whiskey: George dickle, Jack Daniels. We did the tasting. Very informative. Lots of options. Not a huge fan of their products but I appreciate what they are doing. Would recommend this experience.

Chattanooga Whiskey is one of the best brands doing it right now! Their unique products aren't comparable to anything else on the market. We came in to the Experimental Distillery for the tour and tasting. The tour was good really cool to hear the history. Being the experimental side of things their production is pretty small at this location. The tasting however was excellent. I've done several tastings at very well known distilleries. With those you usually get their most basic products and things their trying to sell... So you're really not getting to know what that brand is passionate about. At Chattanooga this is not the case at all. They offer you pours from the best of the best they have to offer. Including one offs and even finish you with a batch made old fashioned! It was such a nice touch. Jenna at the bar was so kind, Knowledgeable, and accommodating. She, was a great addition to our tour. I highly recommend Chattanooga Whiskey!

Had a great time on this tour. Took about an hour and had a tasting at the end. Staff and bartenders were all very knowledgeable about their bourbons and more than happy to answer questions. Although I am not a bourbon drinker I had a pleasant experience and my husband was more than happy to drink my samples! Would recommend this for a couples trip or friend outing.

This was a different type of tasting than what we are use to experiencing. We entered the place and had to pay in advance the wait to see if staff was available. When we were seated, out flight was ready. The service was great, we tried the different whiskey and then left.

My wife and I came here to attend the tour. IT WAS AWESOME! we learned about the historical importance of this brand of whiskey and got to learn the process it was made. The tour guide Laura was very helpful in answering our questions about the process the whiskey was made in. At the end d of the tour we had a tasting with Katelyn who was able to walk us through on the different pallets of the whiskeys . GUYS MAKE MULTIPLE VISITS OVER THE YEARS!!! They change two of the whiskeys during the tastings depending on what they are experimenting with! And last but most least the shop in the front, we were helped by a Man named Jamie who was super helpful and kind. From the Staff to the taste of this memorable/historical whiskey this is an amazing experience I would not pass up when visiting Chattanooga.

We really enjoyed going on this tour, learning about the history but also the process of how Whiskey is made. From the process to the types of barrels used, a great deal goes into distilling quality whiskey! The guides and bartender are all very knowledgeable and able to answer all of the questions. The tasting was very generous and the bartender was able to provide suggestions if Whiskey isn't your favorite. Very reasonably priced and great fun!

Boyfriend and I got the flight experience. Ethan and Kyle were great! They answered all our questions and gave us a cool overview of our flight. 10/10 would recommend for a quick stop

The Tasting was great! Laura did a great job on the tour and Trinity and Jenna did a great job explaining the differences of each of the whiskey tastings. The tasting was well organized with some of their selections you can always get and some that only are sold there at their store and then they finished it off with an old-fashioned which was fantastic! I was there with my two sons who are over 21 not teens and I bought each of us a bottle of our favorite whiskey that we tasted.

The story of the company was my favorite part. The tasting was the favorite part for my wife. If you are a whiskey fan you will enjoy learning how they 'experiment' with small batches.

Kind enough to seat us after tasting had begun. Girl behind counter spoke too quickly but gave us a paper with all the info written. Pretty interior with spaced seating inside and patio. $15 tasting fee was very reasonable. Good variety in the tasting. Street parking only.

I learned about Chattanooga Whiskey at Appalachian Liquor store in Ellijay GA. Edition 111 was so smooth I bought 11 for gifts and one Rye. My wife suggested we call for a tour and one was available at noon the next day. Kaitlyn was trained in Spirits and very informative. History and Production of experimental whiskey weekly was explained with great entertainment flare. After the tour, we tasted the products and one taste cocktail. Batch 111 is still my favorite. There were generous pours too much for us at noon! I recommend the tour!

This is my new favorite distillery in Tennessee! Katelin is one of the best tour guides ever, and Jamie just elevated the visit with his tastings!! Super friendly staff, and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. And their experimental whiskeys are pretty amazing too.

Had higher hopes for this distillery tour. Our tour guide was nice, but not confident in information. Able to walk to the basement where they keep the barrels. Ended the tour at the bar for a tasting. If you don’t have time to stop here, you’re not missing out.

We arrived just in time for the last tour of the day along with another couple, so the group was small and I got to ask many, many questions about the process, times, temps, their sources and where the unwanted material goes and so forth. It is a small place, so it’s easy to comprehend what they do, unlike some of the larger distillers we saw. Our tour guide was very engaging and obviously liked his work. The tasting after the tour was informative too, they seemed to thrive on banter back and forth, so yeah, we had a good time.

I visited Chattanooga Whiskey during my bachelorette weekend. Laura was an amazing tour guide, she was nice and so informative. I’ve taken a lot of distillery tours before but Laura really made sure to explain why Chattanooga Whiskey was unique and special.

We also did a tasting with Molly and Jenna and telling you that they rocked would be a massive understatement. They were informative, friendly, and so amazing! They recommended great places to visit while we stayed in Chattanooga and were a great team. Even if you’re not a whiskey fan you’ll enjoy this tour and tasting experience.

This was a very fun and informative tour! I learned a lot about the differences between types of whiskey, and our guide- (last name Smiley?) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The bartenders pouring the tasting flights at the end were also super knowledgeable and made the experience sweet. Perhaps most importantly, they gave us recommendations for dining nearby because you surely wouldn’t want to drive after all that tasting!

We really enjoyed our visit. We decided to do a tasting, $18 to sample 7 whiskies, and me and my wife split it. The bartender did an excellent job of explaining each type of whiskey before we tried them.
The bar area is a nice place to sit, sip and relax, We didn't have time for the tour....
They also have an outside seating area. Cool spot!

This is our first time to Tennessee/Chattanooga. Our first instinct was to google Tennessee whiskey and the most excited search result was the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery. Let me tell you something... If you like whiskey GO TO THIS PLACE! Their 91 whisky was liquid GOLD and on top of kickass whiskey you had two KICKASS individuals that made the whole experience click. Ethan and Trinity were super knowledgeable, super sexy, and super cool. GO SEE ETHAN AND TRINITY! Don't wait, go do yourself a favor and go SEE THEM NOW! I have thoroughly enjoyed the products from CDC for a while now but yesterday was my first trip to the mother land, let me tell you here and now if you're on the fence deciding to go or not... DO IT! Everyone my group encountered was PHENOMENAL, Jenna was so great walking us through our tasting and Emma was so sweet and helpful up front, Ethan and Javon were so great as well. I truly can't wait to bring more friends back by to hang out again.

An interesting short tour, featuring the history of Chattanooga whiskey making. Ethan was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, and open to questions. It was interesting that this location is an experimental recipe venue. Caleb served us at the bar and we had more tastings than I came expecting. Silver, 91, 111, Rye plus two cocktails. Definitely worth the cost of the tour.

We had a great time. There were 12 in our party an Hollis, our guide was great. He answered all our questions. Afterward, Lea, our bartender gave us a tour of the whiskys were were tasting, along with 2 cocktails. Great experience.

I’ve wanted to do a distillery tour for so long….. I’m really glad this was my first experience - Sam was a brilliant guide and very thorough in his explanation of how the process worked. It’s such a small distillery but so interesting. The batch of tasting whiskies at the end was also a fabulous experience - I wasn’t fond of the 2nd one but after the 6th I went back to the 2nd and it actually tasted fabulous! Top marks to all the team - please give this small distillery a try and you won’t be disappointed.

We walked in to a friendly face of Molly. She was also our tour guide. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. We got back upstairs with Sam who told us all about our samples. He answered questions like a true pro.

Stopped for a flight tasting, Haley and Caleb were great! Loved the atmosphere of the building. Loved the Rye. Will visit again.

We stopped in after reading the reviews and hoped we could get in on a tour. Thankfully we were able to! Our tour guide, Halley, was great! It was her first tour but she did a great job and answered all of our questions. After the tour, we sat at the bar with Taylor and Sarah. Taylor did a great job explaining the flight. We aren’t huge hard liquor fans, but it was nice to try different liquor and see it come to life in cocktails. Only negative was that when I looked on the website about reserving a spot for the tours it said to call, which I did several times and no answer.

My wife and I spent an hour at Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery recently and had a ball! It was both informative and entertaining … and let’s not forget delicious. Our lead guide, Hollis, was knowledgeable and self-deprecating while our bartender Sam answered any question we threw at him. We highly recommend the tour as it’s a little informal and less pretentious that you’ll encounter in a larger commercial distillery.

Jake and Parker did a great job and the whiskey is delicious. Great way to spend an hour or two in Chattanooga!

I love getting pleasantly surprised! It might be a smaller distillery than I'm used to touring but the experience was bigger and better! Julia really knew her stuff and gave our group of 6 a very personable and fun knowledge filled tour and very patiently answered our questions! Then when we got to the tasting part Tony took over over hosting us. He was very interactive with us, very knowledgeable about each whiskey we sampled and truly wanted us to have the best experience possible, which we did. My only regret is that we waited so long to try this place out!

We had a wonderful tour on a rainy day. Dillon was able to answer all of our questions and shared a lot of great historical information about the distillery and Chattanooga in general. We finished with a great tasting at he bar with Ethan. He described each of the whiskeys and shared recipes info for cocktails as well as food pairing. Great little distillery with done great whiskeys.

Fun place to go and try different whiskeys. I did not pre-register for a tour and they were sold out. Fortunately, I was able to sign up for a tasting and learned a thing or four about whiskey Emma (and Billy).

The whole tour is amazing. Short and all the cool info about whiskey and Chattanooga whiskey co. Andrew and Julia were amazing guides and hosts.

For less than $15 you get good value on this tour. With that you get a six-shot flight at the end of the tour sitting at the bar. The group was manageable when I went. Not a lot to see but the tour guide (Peyton) explained their operations well. The main distillery is a mile away and this is a store front where they started the business and still do the "experiments" there. This place would be fun for a bachelor party outing or with about 4-6 friends needing to kill about an hour in downtown Chattanooga. Need to book tour online but I did it same day and it was no problem.

My daughter bought me a tour of the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery for my birthday and we visited on February 19th while COVID restrictions were still in place. That said, we were treated with a personal tour by a fabulous guide, Catherine. Catherine was genuinely excited and knowledgeable and really made the tour fun. She was also very patient and helpful with our questions.

The tour itself was just the right blend of history, science and methodology and lasted about 30-40 minutes or so. At the conclusion of the tour, we were treated to a very generous tasting of all of the whiskey that we had just learned about. Aside from the whiskey being excellent in and of itself, having the tasting at the end was a great way to recap all that we had learned and apply it practically to the whiskey itself. To do this, we had an excellent “flight attendant”, Jamie. This young man was very knowledgeable, personable and continued the “tour” while we tasted with some very interesting insight about all of the scents, flavors and textures of their wonderful whiskey. Both Jamie and Catherine were stellar and a huge reason why we enjoyed the tour so much.

I’m short, I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting the Chattanooga area as well as for those living in and around the city. It is a fascinating tour led by knowledgeable and talented guides. We had a fantastic time!

Very interesting to visit and learn the whiskey -making process. Small group (10-12), so you can ask lots of questions. Then, at the end of the tour, you get to taste many of their products. This was where I discovered I am not, nor will I ever be, a whiskey drinker. We had Alex as a tour guide, and Jenna and Ethan as bartenders. They were all very attentive and kind. Entire visit about an hour, but worth the price of a ticket.

Fully enjoyed our tour of the experimental distillery. Sarah was so amazing and was just full of life and information about this amazing company and brand that is looking to change the way things are done not only in the bourbon industry but also in Chattanooga.
After the tour was the tasting. Jamie guided us through tasting the silver base, 3 bourbons, and 2 cocktails. The bourbons were great by themselves and the cocktails, an Old Fashioned and Mint Julep, were some of the best simple cocktails we've had in a while. Thank you for a great time on our wedding anniversary staycation.

After following the Tennessee whiskey trail for a while we were excited to have some bourbon at a distillery. Chattanooga distillery has some amazing bourbons and of course whiskeys.
The tour was small and the guide personable. The tasting was awesome.

We were with a small group tour lead by Hollis. He did a great job walking the group both through the processes involved in making bourbon, but also the drive from the founders to make whiskey distilling legal throughout the state. Afterwards, Emma served us a whiskey flight in the bar. She too had a great knowledge of the product and did an overall great job of serving the group!

My wife and I had a weekend away in Chattanooga. We planned this around Christmas and it was easy for us to book by phone. We were met with Katelynn who is not only Whiskey passionate but certified in spirits. All of the others were exceptionally helpful and guided us through our taste testing adventure.

These people know their stuff. Explained the whole process of making whiskey, fermentation, aging, what grains to use and experimentation. Sam was excellent explaining about the tasting at the end of the tour. Julia gave an excellent tour. We really enjoyed ourselves. My husband really liked their products-we took some home. It is thoughtful of them to provide recipes to use their products. It was one fun way to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We'll stop again when we visit relatives in Alpharetta, GA.

Landon, our tour guide, was very informative and engaging. Went into the cave on tour not knowing what to expect, and came out having learned so much within that two hour span.

We booked a tour at the distillery while visiting Chattanooga. It is located in town across from the old train station and close to hotels. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and made everyone welcome. Our tour guide was very good, explaining the history of whiskey making in Tennessee and at the distillery. We were able to see the process and the barrel aging area. After the tour our group was given samples of the various products and explanation of each sample. A nice touch was the discount for purchases made after the tour.
I would recommend a tour of the distillery to anyone interested in distilling.

Taylor, Jamie, and Caitlin were all great in giving us a tour, explaining our sample flight, and making the experience fun. Unfortunately, the bar area seating is very limited right now, but I definitely recommend taking the brief tour and sampling at the end. Will return.

We had an amazing tasting at Chattanooga whiskey. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Jaimee, Aleea, and Haley were fantastic and informative.

When you go to a distillery, you typically tolerate the tour while you wait for the tasting. Recognizing this, the Chattanooga Experimental Distillery tour includes a quick recitation of the history, explains the brewing process, shows the stills and barrels, and then it's on to the tasting room. There, you get six pours of the established whiskeys and two "experimental" bonus pours. All of them have different flavor profiles and bouquets and this all costs just $18/person.

We had a tour of the distillery was hosted by Caitlin. She was very informative a lot of fun and we actually learned quite a bit and enjoyed the experience immensely. After the tour we got to do a tasting with Caleb . He was extremely informed very helpful and made the experience well worth our time. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody.

Spent the weekend in Chattanooga and on Saturday we visited the Chattanooga Whiskey Distillery downtown across from the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel. The distillery has a great history and great product. The facility is very clean. The tour is very informative and taste testing the flight was amazing. I suggest the 111. Take some time and go enjoy this Chattanooga destination.

Fun tour and tasting. Took the late afternoon tour before dinner and it was perfect way to start the evening. It's a smaller distillery but the info given by our great guide Jake was informative and interesting. At the end we had a great chat with "smiley" the barkeep doing the sample tasting and got some great tips on other things to see and do in the area.

Stopped in to purchase a bottle of whiskey and ended up purchasing a 3-pack of their best sellers. The time was late and only had a few minutes. Will visit again when in area.

Had a great tour, just the two of us like we were VIPs. Great story, interesting to learn about the process on the tour and you get a tasting at the end. Katelyn was a great tour guide.

Chattanooga whiskey has a tasting room on Market St across from the Choo Choo. They charge for a tasting, but if you ask they’ll give you a splash for free. Very good, high malt whiskey.

We had an awesome tasting experience with Haley! The whiskey was pretty good too! This was our second experience visiting this distillery.

Excellent and interesting tour, full of the science and history behind both Chattanooga whiskey and whiskey distilling in general. The tasting at the end was fantastic. My husband and I were going through Chattanooga on a trip and decided to take a tour of the distillery. Taylor was an amazing guide and Smiley was an excellent bartender. We have been to several other distillery tours and this one is by far the best! If you're in town do it!!!

Five of us were in town for a long weekend and saw this tour and tasting advertised somewhere. We went and had a really good time. It was fun, informative, and the tour was just the right length; not too long, not too short. Then we had the included tasting flight of five different Bourbons. It's definitely worth the tour fee. We went back the next day and bought sweatshirts, spicy bourbon pecans and Bourbon coffee. Taylor, Julia, and Ethan were our guides and helpers and bartenders and they were fabulous.

Great for the straight whiskey lover. If just a causal drinker of whiskey consider splitting the flight with a friend. It is a lot of whiskey! Be nice if they had some food or something to soak up the alcohol too. Staff nice and knowledgeable.

We had a great visit here. We did the tasting with Will. He was so nice! He took time to answer all of our questions and make our time spent there enjoyable. Would definitely go back.

We are from Missouri, where distillery’s are pretty unheard of (beer and wine!) we were in Chattanooga for our Babymoon (expecting our first child in three months) and thought this would be a great addition to add to our trip!
So glad we did it!
It was just my husband and I on the tour.
Jamie conducted our tour, trailed by Alex. Both very knowledgeable and didn’t make it weird that we were the only other two people with them.
We had some good laughs and learned a lot.
At the end of the tour, we had Parker as our bartender for our flight experience (my husband drank mine too LOL)
They kept everyone who was experiencing the flights distanced apart and although being at a bar with 6 feet between you and the next groups is truly odd, we still mingled with the people around us and the bartenders.

Even off the tour, Jamie and Alex continued to entertain and educate.
Definitely a great time and will be back again !!

He took his time speaking and always ask if we had questions. After the tour you get to taste 5 of their experimental whiskey’s they made. Our bartender Caleb provided us details of all 5 of the whiskey’s and what they were made from and about the taste. Very informative. Thank you Jake and Caleb for a fun tour and tasting!

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ethan and tasting with Alea. Ethan explained the history of alcohol distillation in Tennessee, the whiskey making process and the difference between whiskey and bourbon. Alea led us through tasting 6 of their whiskeys, how each was casked and flavor notes. Very informative and a lot of fun!

We were just around the corner having lunch and had some time to kill, so we popped in for tour and tasting. Our tour guide Laura gave us an excellent history of the distillery, and the associated laws for distilling whiskey in the state of Tennessee. Then she explained the distilling process in a detailed yet easy-to-follow manner, particularly the nuances with malts and other ingredients and what requirements go into designating a whiskey as bourbon. She was very friendly in answering questions and didn't dwell too much on anything, which kept the tour moving efficiently to the best part - the tasting. When we arrived at the tasting room, Hollis took the lead and walked us through the tasting. The Silver whiskey was something I hadn't seen before at other distilleries. Both the 91 and 111 proof batches were smooth and had unique character. Hollis also poured a sample of their Experimental Barrel 157, which was unique in its own right and also very good. To boot, they also mixed up an Old Fashioned, a Mint Julep, and a take on a Gin & Tonic with the Silver whiskey. What a great addition to the tasting program. In all, this visit is one I'd recommend, and would repeat next time I'm in town.

We arrived a few minutes early and Brit was very welcoming and gave us a bit of info before we started our tour. Katelin, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very patient to answer our questions. At the bar Alex explained the various pours in the whisky flight which helped put all the information we learned on the tour to the finished product. We purchased a bottle of the experimental amaro and look forward to serving it for the holidays! We will absolutely be back the next time we visit Chattanooga!

This distillery tour was awesome in the fact that it was so contained. Everything on two floors of a small downtown building. Went through initial fermentation, distilling, and barrel aging, with an expert who broke it all down for us. Learned so much, and then finished it off with a generous flight of six different pours. Tour awesome, tasting also awesome. I had so many questions...all answered. Highly recommend.
