Zac Brown Concert

By John A |

Went here for a Zac Brown Concert. Overall the experience was okay. Concessions were a little pricey 6 bucks for a water was a little much. Bathrooms were clean even with the size of the crowd they had. I’d go again.

Liked this venue!

By Jaimee S |

It was clean, updated, good seating arrangement. Security was ok, though I think they could have streamlined it... At the gate we went in, they had ONE person checking the tickets (I think for authenticity...), three people checking bags, and lots of people scanning tickets. Could have definitely streamlined this process using more than one person checking tickets... it took quite a lot longer than it should have. Wouldn't say the sound quality was the greatest through the microphones at the concert we went to, but I blame the sound check guy for that... Nice facility overall.

Porsche suited

By Carolina Félix-Colón |

Got invited to one of the Porsche suites at Citi field, it is great. The view is amazing from the suite, the food is ok and they have beers and wine. Nice experience, great atmosphere.

Another great day at the ballpark!

By Jody J |

What a beautiful stadium! All of the workers are pleasant and so helpful! Easy to get to! Pay a little extra for reserved parking. If you park in Lot B, you will be glad you did. Hardly any wait and you will be on the highway in no time. 38,000 people and we were on the road in less that 10 minutes after getting in our car!

Great Stadium for Baseball

By Andrew O |

Its a great stadium to watch a game!! Great sightlines, very good food selections and lots of food vendors. Easy access from the highway. Prices are decent. A place you must visit if your a sports fan!!!

Changes Are NOT Always Better

By NYC Edge |

Visited Citi Field recently and I noticed quite a few changes from last year. First, the good. Patsy's has taken over as the pizza vendor from Two Boots. In my opinion, an upgrade as I am a big fan of Patsy's. Second, there are more Mr. Softee vendors throughout the stadium (need I write more?). Third, there is a brewery back where Mikkeller's used to be. It is now Ebbs. If you want to place to hang out before going into the stadium, it's good to see a place back especially since McFadden's is gone.

Now, for the changes that are swings and misses. First, Mama's of Corona is gone. For those of you that did not even know that there was a Mama's of Corona is Citi Field it WAS in the right field corner -- WAY IN THE RIGHT FIELD CORNER - in the Market place. Always felt Mama's was getting a bad rap being here. Not many people knew it was there. It needed and deserved a better location and I hope management brings Mama's back in an area with more foot traffic so people will know it's even in the stadium. Second, in the 300 level, there used to be a window for fans to watch the feeds from various games. That has now been covered over with brick. Reason? No idea. Were the replay and video people being bothered by folks peering in? Finally, leaving the stadium. For some reason not all exits are ALLOWED TO BE USED BY FANS. Example, in the center field food court there is an exit above where McFadden's used to be that now has security telling you NOT AN EXIT! Are you kidding? Why not use all exits to ease crowd control in the stadium? You used to be able to use this exit in the past? Why is this NOT AN EXIT? Open all exits at the end of game. Makes things so much easier at the end of night.

Didn't miss Shea

By Grayhare |

It has been a long time since I went to a game, Citi Field is impressive, Wasy to get around, plenty of food choices and very entertaining compared to the old days at shea.. The only cons i could see is the board with the scores of other games is on the upper levels and at times the sun makes it hrd to read and if you are sitting on the first base line the scoreboard is not easily seen but the big center field screen is in view. It is alot more intimate feeling than shea was. All in all a really nice stadium.

First time!

By Keith G. |

Has opportunity to bring some colleagues to see the Mets play San Francisco, and the day was perfect. Arrived at the field early and had opportunity to walk around, and the parks amazing. Great layout and plenty ty of concessions. Ww had good seats and good view. Overall a great experience and gals we had chance to see a game here.

SATURDAY NIGHT GAME FOR PRIDE

By keliiraeta |

LGBT Network hosted an event for pride night. It was subtle but a great atmosphere overall. I am a flushing native but had not been since it was Shea and I absolutely loved it. We sat in the promenade reserved seating which seems to be far up on the map but it was actually a pretty good view.

Fun place to watch a game

By Michael R |

Full disclosure: I’m a Yankees fan but I don’t hate the Mets! The park is very clean and there are a lot of fun things for kids to do st the game There is a mini Stadium where kids hit a wiffle ball and run the bases Adults can try to hit off a batting machine
Near main entrance there is a Mets museum which is nicely done The food isn’t bad either

Let's Play Ball!

By therichastill |

Citi Field is the home of the New York Mets. It is found close to Flushing Meadows and is next to Mets - Willets Point subway station. This is on Line 7 and there are regular trains running to Manhattan from here. There is also a very large car park for those who prefer to drive.

The stadium is pretty big and impressive.

Very nice

By Potomac_11 |

Very modern and well-designed stadium. Short and safe walk from the subway. Saw the Mets play baseball here and enjoyed the experience.

Despite how the team plays, Citi Field is fantastic.

By KneeNine |

One thing about Citi Field that stands out above everything else is how it just keeps getting better and better every year. It feels like the people in charge are always doing more to improve. Concessions, accessibility, parking, cleanliness, staff, every time I go there (and I’ve been going to Flushing for Mets game since 1984) Citi Field gets better and better. Staff is plentiful, from ushers to cleaning staff, to security to parking lot attendants, it’s easy to get help finding your seat, quick service for a beer or snack, or buying a program or team hat. Constantly redesigned, landscaping around the park, and quick lines into and inside the building make it a blast to enjoy. Even when the team stinks it up...

Nice Stadium.

By Heather K. |

Very nice stadium. Some friends and I got some decent seats for about $50 dollars, they were on the visitor side, about 5 rows up from the field. I walked around the stadium and I could see that any seat, even standing room, would have been a great choice as the stadium is very open.

Lots of expensive food and drink choices, as with any stadium, but the environment was great.

Subway is literally right in front of the stadium to catch the 7 train to Manhattan, perfect!

Great Clean Ballpark

By gjp220 |

We took our grandson to college for
orientation and saw the Mets were home that night. We took a chance and showed up and got GREAT seats in the Club section. Wonderful game saw two homers with great fan participation. Food and souvenirs were priced as expected. Great night with surprisingly well behaved fans!
Let's go Mets!!

Poor managerial decisions!!!

By Coachpete34 |

I recently attended the Pink concert at Citi Field. Everything was great until the concert was over and it was time to leave. My wife and I were there with our 4 kids, and of course they had to use the bathroom before we headed home. As I was taking my 2 sons to the bathroom, I noticed that there was a line of women outside of the men’s room. At first I didn’t think too much of it, so I took my boys into the bathroom. Once we entered, there were mobs of women waiting to use the stalls in the men’s room. My boys were shocked, uncomfortable and I was super angry. I went to speak to a worker and they said that they were allowing this because they were trying to get everyone out of the stadium and that there were so many more women than men there. This is absolutely unacceptable and mind boggling. Why this was even thought of is absolutely absurd!! Whoever was in charge that night needs to be spoken to about this poor decision.

NY Mets Game!!!!!

By Lakeisha O |

Really enjoyed the game and the armosphere at the stadium. The pastrami is sooooo good. And the drinks are good and strong. If ever in NYC around Baseball season you should definitely try to get tickets

Subway series NY vs NY !!

By DannyWasserman |

Excellent game between both New York teams last week at Citi Field was amazing. Great and easy access, great food at the Food court where they serve Pastrami sandwiches and Mr. Softee ice cream. The seats had an excellent view and the game was so exciting. We took an Uber there and got right in and out. No problems. They have plenty of gift shops to pick up some items.

Nice experience

By Lapinoloco |

First baseball game ever! Really nice experience, loved it. And special start of the game as it was 9/11 22nd anniversary, we had really good seats, had nice hot dogs and french fries (it's just a shame you dont have high tables to eat, either on your seat or in the stairs). And really easy to get there and come back there from Times Square, direct subway, about 30mn for less than USD 3.-. Go Mets go! ;)

Drove from Philadelphia

By Ed G |

Saw a Sunday game Phillies / Mets and drove from Philadelphia. Mets fans were friendly. I thought it was an uninspiring stadium but my Mets fans friends said it's worlds better than Shea. I drove and parked, taking the Verazanno Narrows up and the GW back. Parking is simple and it seems like each exit dumps you directly on to the highway that will let you take either bridge on the return. I think it's like $10 extra in tolls if you take the GW but the traffic flows easier that way.

If it wasn't for the fact that I took my son and dad (and it was a Sunday) I would have driven to Secaucus and taken the train to Penn Station then the LIRR.

Awesome Ballpark

By ebone2112 |

Great place to see a baseball game from every vantage point. Ale sure u make a visit out to centerfield, great for the kids. They have a mini whiffleball stadium, dunk tank ps4. Plus a huge Jumbotron so u don’t miss any of the action. Parking is pricey $24. Food selection is great and make sure u check out the Jackie Robinson rotunda and the mets museum.

Great Ballpark but Terrible Venue for Soccer when NYCFC Occasionally Plays Here

By TravelingSoccerLoon |

Great ballpark. Easily accessible by public transportation using the 7 train that stops right at the stadium. Nice food options inside. However, awful place for a soccer game. NYCFC had to play here when Yankee Stadium was not available. Configuration simply does not work with many seats far from the field.

Lovely "Old Style" Ball Park

By joe s |

This Park has more character than Shea and harkens back to the days of the old Ebbetts Field. You really feel like you are back in the day, thanks to the " retro style".
The Park doesn't end at the outfield fence either, there is Shea Bridge and a fast food promenade beyond. You can actually walk the park in a complete circle. There are different areas with different themes and price ranges but in general the seats are more affordable than Yankee Stadium. It's easy to get in and out of the stadium and elevators are available. The management should do more to control vendors prices however.Seven dollars for a Dog, Really? If you bring three kids to the game hot dogs will end up costing you more than your seat. Parking should not cost more than your tickets either ($25). If they made the food affordable & parking $15 they'd probably sell enough more tickets to make up the difference. I love the fireworks but the amplified rap music between innings is unbearable. Please bring back the old fashioned Pipe Organ music.

Great stadium; great time!!

By KennyKaye |

Went with wife for 1st time last Friday. Been a Met fan 50 years but never had great seats. Decided to go large - 16th row behind the plate. Great view. Seats were oversized and padded. Waitress service. Next time need to see the Mets Hall of Fame but had great time in restaurants and Mets store. Beautiful retro stadium. deGrom wins game - strikes out 13 in 7. It don't get much better. Will return again WITH similar seats. Got spoiled!!

Amazing night cheering on the New York Mets!

By Jack M |

Amazing experience being able to watch the famous New York Mets play at Citi Field!! Had a wonderful night topped off by the Mets beating Washington! Getting a taxi home was a bit confronting though, the drivers are kind of aggressive and we didn’t know who to trust! So we booked an Uber which turned out to be a great move as our driver was a Queens native and gave us lots of insights as we drove back to Manhattan. Highly recommend getting out to Citi Field to watch the Mets play!

Citi Field Mets Game

By alexisgrullon |

This stadium is build very unique. Great parking lot space and very affordable on average $25 for the game which is connected to stadium and allows for easy walk into park and lot. Ton of food options inside and they have Shake Shack which I recommend for a good burger or shakes.

Slow Train

By Gary W |

Apart from the abysmally slow train journey, our trip to Citi Field was enjoyable. Entry to the stadium is quick despite bag and body checks, the seating is wel marked and staff are really helpful. We opted for the $43 seats which were comfortable and provided a good view. There are plenty of food and beverage stalls and an excellent merchandise shop. If prices are too high there are plenty of cheaper options being offered outside the entrance.

Great To Be Back At the Ballgame

By NYC Edge |

Went back to the ballpark a few weeks ago and was so glad I did. While we could not attend any games in 2020, it was great to be back at Citi Field this year.

If you you go try to get tickets with access to the Piazza Club (in the 300 Section behind home plate). Great place to grab a bite and a beer before or during the game.

Of course, Shake Shack in the center field pavilion is one of my favorites.

It is a shame to see that McFadden's and Mikkeller Brewery did not make it. Maybe when things get more back full swing, something will open in one or both of those spots.

Missed it.

By R_Journey |

Horrible staff on WWE day. Just the worst. Bad guests anyway. Paid for the WWE package and everyone got a bobble head anyway.

Magical Place otherwise. The fan reactions are amazing. The store was a bit scary. Ferris Bueller was there.

Fun day at Citi Field

By Anthony C |

Like always it’s great to go to Citi Field. Even if our Mets lose the game. Wish they would win!!! Lol

Extra innings in the rain

By Kathy P. |

Watched the Cubs take on the Mets in June 2018. It was humid all day into the evening then the game went into extra innings and it started to rain. Longest game I have ever been too. But worth it. Look forward to another visit.

Horrible to Purchase Concert Tickets

By joe g |

Horrible to Purchase Concert Tickets.. The worse experience in my life buying tickets for BTS concert. Over an hour and half of verifying and freezing. I would never buy tickets from Citi Field Ever Again unless Michael Jackson came back from the dead and performed there, then maybe I would consider buying tickets from them.. I am literally, very mad right now, tickets went on sale at 4 pm, we were in the waiting room since 3:30, 4:25 pm, we were able to get through, then, it was nothing but verify and freezing, verify and freezing, I can't recall how many boats, cars, roads, street signs, etc, I had to verify.. You should have let Ticketmaster sell all your tickets because you guys are HORRIBLE

A great experience

By Clare P |

This is great stadium and it was a great experience for our first baseball game. The hall of fame was great to look around, everyone was really friendly and it was reasonably priced.

Still A Gem - And Now With A New Reason To Visit

By NYC Edge |

Went to the Mets home opener and got to see the new Tom Seaver statue unveiled out side Citi Field. The statue is right outside the Jackie Robinson Pavilion next to the Apple.

The next time you come to a game at Citi Field you must see this statue. It is a sight to behold.

A nice stadium in Queens

By Joe K |

A unique stadium in Queens where the Mets play. A great rotunda greets you when you enter the stadium. It's a tribute to Jackie Robinson. Plenty of food options and great site lines when you visit this stadium. A must visit for all baseball fans.

First Data Club Experience

By BKH1991 |

Leaving a review because someone asked me too on here, i'm a Yankee Fan but i'm a huge MLB Fan. I've been to Citi Field more than 30 times since it's open but i've never sat so close before. i bought tickets to watch the Nationals vs Mets, i bought the tickets on Stubhub for a great price. i went To Citi Field and went into a special entrance for these seats, these seats included Free Food and Beverages all over the ballpark. You can order from your seat the food or if you wanna walk around to the concession area you hand them your ticket and they scan it and then you get your free food. They also have an area behind home plate where they have burgers, hot dogs, nachos and popcorn where you can eat for free as well. It was such a great experience and i'm hoping to sit there again in the future because it was so awesome.

Great day at the ballpark

By Tshak1 |

I am a life long Mets fan, and it was my first time taking my 3 kids, wife and parents to a Mets game at Citi. My wife doesn’t like baseball. She had a great time as did everyone else! The Mets won and degrom pitched great but the food from shake shak to the momofuku chicken sandwich to the pomme frite fries and the soft serve ice cream... awesome for all. The kids had fun at the kid zones and it was super clean and very entertaining to walk through the Mets store and the museum. Great day for any baseball fan!

Mets Game

By LeeTrotman |

First visit to see Mets play, and the field was designed to look like the old Ebbets field in Brooklyn. Not thrilled with the design, but the amenities are adequate and the gift store is nice. Seats are in good condition and this stadium is small so it feels more intimate.

Great Stadium!

By Joe R |

Great place to watch a game. Lots of great seating and some pretty awesome restaurants here. It’s a beautiful stadium. Wherever you walk around, you can watch the game!

Nothing like a beer and a hot dog. The best place to get that and watch professional baseball is at Citifield

By S M |

Easy to get there, centrally located. Parking is expensive.
Seats are comfortable. I prefer to sit under over hang to avoid elements of weather.

Excellent

By C K |

I booked a surprise for friends from Ballpark website, cheap tickets $25 and we had such a great visit. Our first ball game and would highly recommend going. Atmosphere amazing, you need ID to buy beer.
We took train from Penn Station - track 7 think these were around $13
Very family orientated and will definitely book tickets again & the Mets won - topped the night off

Good Site-lines. Close To The Action. Plenty Of Food Options.

By KosherTraveller2011 |

Went to see the Yankees play the Mets at CitiField. This ballpark has a lot of good things going for it.

For starters, the seats here are close to the field. It has the potential to give the Mets a significant home field advantage if the team could ever give the fans something to cheer for. The right field porch has the feel of the previous Yankee Stadium. There are both indoor and outdoor viewing spots for the game.

The amenities here are a positive. The bathrooms are clean and the lines weren’t too long. There are many food options for lunch, or dinner. The Kosher booth has hot dogs, knishes, sausages, some deli sandwiches and hot pretzels. Pricey, but convenient.

Parking is both expensive and a bit of a hassle on busy nights. The trains are a healthy walk from the stadium. The LIRR station is probably 12 minutes by foot. And trains don’t run all that often, particularly after games end late. Also, I found that there was a shortage of escalators and elevators for older and disabled fans attending the game.

Overall, CitiField is a notable upgrade over Shea Stadium in terms of modern conveniences and personality.

Beautiful place to watch some baseball

By Aida P |

I last came here for opening day of the Met's baseball season. Stadium is so easy to get to on the 7 train. Stadium is exactly what a baseball stadium should be. Great views throughout, great places to eat and drink and a great fan store. Love my Mets, and love Citifield.

All American Passt-ime

By conqueror-wyrm |

We visited Citi Field to see a Mets game and did find it a bit unfriendly for tourists to navigate. Although we got to it easy enough (7 train from Times Square), there was nothing on the outside to explain where to pick up our pre-purchased tickets. The queue to enter was pretty massive too due to bag checks so make sure you arrive at least 45 minutes before the game.

However, once inside, the stadium itself was pretty incredible. The rotunda inside included a Hall of Fame museum, gift shop and plenty of places to buy food (mostly hot dogs), snacks and drinks. While everything is a bit expensive, it was a lot of fun. We found our seats easily and were very comfortable during the game.

Staff were always friendly and approachable and we really enjoyed the fireworks display after the match, though I understand that there is not one of these after every match. Certainly worth a look if you feel like taking in a sporting even while in the city.

Also, if you're not familiar with baseball, please note that games can overrun massively. Would recommend attending an evening game so this does not eat up your day - the 7 train does at least run all night!

Decent Stadium.

By Brian L |

Let's get the elephant out of the way. What prevents this place from getting five stars is the location next to the airport. After a while, the constant taking-off of planes at nearby LaGuardia gets a little old and annoying.

Otherwise, I thought this was a nice stadium. Not the best I've been to, but certainly not the worst. You can ride the rails directly there, and it's just a short walk. Our tickets were in the 400 level, right against the edge and the views were great! In general, from walking around, it seemed like all parts of the stadium had decent views. The food options seemed plentiful and good, lots of beer choices, the bathrooms seemed to have short queues, and the fans were really cool. I suspect their AL counterparts are not the same.

14 of 30 (current) stadiums visited.

Best Stadium

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

This is the place to watch the Mets play. So many different choices for food. Many different options for beer. Field level section 104 is the best place to watch a game!

Great stadium

By Linda H |

A fantastic experience to watch the Mets play (and win) in this beautiful big stadium. From the metro station you walk straight to it. Places on the first ring and above are even accessible by escalator. Disabled people are also taken into account, there are special places for each subject. On each ring there are lots of food outlets and stalls where you can watch how hard you throw a ball. If you can't see it from your spot, screens are everywhere. A super experience!

Great stadium

By Maltipoo16 |

I’ve been to a lot of baseball games and stadiums, and citi field is on of my favorites. The Mets are very fan oriented and give back to their fans with many promotions and games that go on during the game. Citi field also has very good food. They have shake shack, do, wowfuls, and many other things all inside the stadium. Great place to watch baseball.

Amazing

By stuart w |

Amazing stadium and place to watch a baseball game. The facilities are excellent and access, exit, field of vision are all very good. Brilliant way to spend a day

Dead and company concert

By J M |

Third year in a row. Citifield is a very nice ballpark. Typically these days you can find great seats easily.

Quiet Visit

By Ethan G |

I visited Citi Field when the Mets was on the road, so there wasn't many people. I was able to enjoy the landmarks and statues that the stadium had to offer at the time. Unfortunately, only the outside of the stadium and the Mets store was open since there was no game. Also, public commutes to there is pretty convenient as there is a subway and several buses near the area. It is a very nice venue.

Where the Food and Parking Are Better Than the Ballpark

By Jonathan R |

I just attended my second game at Citi Field, for the Yankees-Mets Subway Series. I thought a number of the concourses, even with the crowds moving through them, felt dark and confining - certainly other ballparks such as Yankee Stadium, Marlins Park, and even older parks like Camden Yards feel more open and spacious. I also dislike the architecture of the center and right field areas, which lack flow and visual appeal. The look of the field from the outfield toward home plate is much more impressive (see photo).
I did find that concessions’ price points were lower than I’d have expected for New York (and that I’ve seen lately at Camden Yards and Nats Park), and there are just some New York delicacies you won’t find in other parks (such as the “Pastrami Foot-Long Hot Dog” in the photo). And even when I arrived late for the game, I was pleasantly surprised that I could get into a general parking area within a block of the field. I’d willingly go there again to see a game with friends, but I expect I’ll still find the park’s architecture off putting.

Wonderful Day Out to see a Baseball Game

By Ronnie B |

One of the Must-Do's for us was attend a Baseball Game - so we pre-bought our Mets tickets and had a great day out at Citi Field.
Great views; incredible atmosphere; friendly and helpful staff; plenty of food and drink choices and a well stocked merchandise shop.
With good Metro links, this was an easy day out and well worth it.

Great Field

By Silk G |

Awesomeness great field , great place to be ! Great fans ! Very clean , surprisingly most stadiums aren’t that clean !

Great stadium!

By Jack |

I went to Citi Field to see an NYCFC soccer game. The stadium is very clean and organized. There are many food vendors and bathrooms. Every seat has a good view of the field and there are multiple levels. I highly recommend!

First class experience with the Mets!

By DennisOK |

I'm a long time Mets fan but live far away. I came for a Fri/Sat/Sun homestand. I stayed at a hotel about a mile away and hopped on the 7 train and was here quickly. Great atmosphere outside the stadium with fans. Security check to enter the stadium was smooth. Then lots of interesting Mets memorabilia in many different shops. I sat in 3 different locations for the weekend and all had great views. Very large portion sizes of the food options. I will be back! Let's Go Mets!

Great stadium!

By Michelle M |

What a wonderful place to bring a family or have fun with friends. The energy of this stadium is unmatched. Graphics are fun. Staff is so friendly. Not a bad seat in the house. Concession stands are varied, something for everyone. Parking wasn’t bad hut traffic after a game is pretty rough. Loved every minute here!

Home of the Mets

By LVRealtor89052 |

You have to see a ballpark everywhere you go. Nothing better than baseball on a beautiful September evening. The stadium was pretty empty but ushers were at every isle and wouldn't let you move seats.

Family night

By Passiontravelphoto |

Had a fun family night sponsored by a school. There’s nothing like going to a stadium and watching the game live. You get the whole experience.

Just enjoying the game

By tony a |

I am and always will be a Yankee fan, but my family and I enjoy citifield. It has lots to do for the kids and adults. You can watch the game from any part of the stadium.
Center field is where the kids can partake in different activities while adults can sample beers of the world.

Good ballpark and easily accessible.

By aces11 |

The food service was extremely slow at the pastrami sandwich vendor. And very expensive. The product was excellent, but I don’t that it was good value for the time and money. The ballpark was very nice. Clean and easily navigable, although we were told that the escalators get shut off immediately at the end of the game??

nice stadium!

By chelsea |

very updated, lots of vendor options, 24 oz beers 14$, not many bad seats for the size. 7 train drops you right off. i went for a concert not a game. security process is a little lengthy and they prefer you don’t use mobile tickets.

Fantastic stadium & experience

By PuzzleSolver855 |

We visit baseball stadiums as a hobby and this was our last in the US (Toronto next year). It was our favorite on this fall trip, easily beating out Yankee stadium and Philadelphia. The stadium is of course newer which helps. The amenities are fun and we took a train from Brooklyn to Manhattan then out to Flushing (1 1/4 hours) and it let us off right at the entrance. Super nice! I liked the energy from the fans (possibly going into the playoff season bolstered that) and nobody around me was drunk and obnoxious. I would recommend it to all.

Mets vs Indians

By IanNugget |

I went to a game with my uncle, in June, and saw the Mets play the Indians. I hadn't been to the ballpark in at least 2 years and I am a huge fan of the Mets. I missed the field and I missed the feeling of being at ballpark. Fans are so nice. They would give you high fives. It is a great place to spend your day.

Mets

By WillM8741 |

This is a great stadium. It is very fan friendly. There is something to do for all ages. I go here a few times a year and always have a good time. They have great food. You should check it out if your in the NY area or are a baseball fan who wants to check out a new place.

Nice Ballpark

By WhereintheUSisMikey |

We went to the Mets game and had great seats. The Phillies were in town and have never been to Citi field only Yankee Stadium new and old. We got some nachos in a baseball helmet and Sausage and onions which was very good. It was also free T-shirt night so the stadium was giving away Pete Alonzo T-shirts.. We took the Subway from times square and it drops you off right in front of the stadium which is nice. I still like Yankee Stadium better but Citi field was very nice.

Worth a visit to experience the baseball!!

By MsKMs |

We visited Citi Field to watch the Mets vs Minnesota Twins. This was an evening game...it was very very cold, but the atmosphere was great and we loved the hot dogs!

Best Ballpark Since Ebbets Field

By John S |

I saw many a game st Ebbetd Field as a kid and Citi Field is the only other N.Y. Stadium that offers that same homey feeling. The staff throughout are friendly and helpful and the various food stands are excellent. Add to that the Mets themselves and it’s a great day for you and the kids. I admit it’s more expensive than Ebbetts used to be and thus I can’t go as often but with Cable and homemade snacks it makes the seven times a year we go all the better...

Great Ballpark and fun atmosphere

By Indah Edlightz |

We visited Citi Field to watch a game vs Nationals and although it was rain delayed, we had a great time. Coming in from Manhattan, it's not a difficult or long drive. we took an uber and it was worth it.. The ballpark is new with really good food outlets and good options for drinks. We walked around the stadium and all the seats have really good site lines.. Great open stadium with fun atmosphere.... not a lot compares to Queens' fan out there.. some colourful characters for sure. One of the best parts of this stadium are the views outside of the ballpark.. LaGuardia is just across the road and planes are constantly flying in the background and on the other side, you can see the best skyline of Manhattan. Great Atmosphere, great seats, good food and drinks.. and actually an easy way to get in and out of the ballpark. Definitely a fun time.

Great tour.

By NorthStar25231733801 |

Did the stadium tour here.
Was given a really good detailed tour.
Also made very welcome from the staff.
Can't wait to go back and see a match.
Let's go Mets.

Great show

By Chris |

Great show. Very american with lots of activity before, around the stadium and between the rounds.
We took the subway 7 from Time Square to the Citi Firld stadium. Easy access and good security.
The stadium is great with many restaurants, however at least double price!
We paid 58€ for 1 naschos, 1 plain hotdog, 1 hotdog with pretzels and 3 cokes!
We had tickets on 516 so even if high up we saw very well. Unfortunately only shadow here and a cold wind even on a sunny day, I would book on the other side(s) next time.
A good family day.

2018 vacation.

Well worth a visit! Let’s Go Mets!!! The Subway is quick and easy way to travel from Manhattan to Citi Fields.

Birthday Celebration

We rented a suite for a birthday celebration and from initiating and having the celebration, we were treated amazing. The managers, reps, attendants were all accommodating. I can't say enough about awesome this experience was. We were visited by Todd Zielle, who signed autographs, posed for pictures and spent time speaking with everyone. Mr. Met came by to take pictures with the kids. Our attendant, Sheila C. was amazing. They accommodated our special diets without hesitation. I was very impressed.

Nice play to watch a game

By Autumn M |

I am not a Mets fan, but I enjoyed watching a game there. There are plenty of food and drink options.

I went here to watch games - May 2018

By Tigeriffic69 |

I was lucky enough to be able to watch 3 games here on my trip to NYC. The stadium is nice, and has plenty of food choices, and toilet areas. I enjoyed my freebies, of a t-shirt, a star wars bobble head, and a plastic baseball bat. The atmosphere was at its best on the Sunday when it was "family day". This stadium is literally next door to the subway. During the game you could see aeroplanes flying above the stadium, and you could see part of the Manhattan skyline, and bridge. Beautiful scenic photo opportunities.

Afternoon baseball game at Citi Field

By Larry W |

This is a great field to watch a game. It is wide open and yet has a cozy feel to it. The bathrooms are all very convenient as are the concession stands. Elevators provide easy access to numerous places around the field. We were very happy that our seats were in the shade, because the temperature was in the 90’s.

Porsche Suites are nice with good view

By Dik S |

Ball games here are fantastic! easy to get to and easy to leave. Watched from Porsche Suites. Beware overpriced beverages! Food service is for 6 people or more. So if you are a group of two you will need to go downstairs and get your food there. It wasn't the all-in experience expected.

Ball game

By Amazin1 |

Pretty much what happens every time I go see the Mets they lose, however we went with friends and their families l,the kids had a great time the food stands are amazing and as long as the kids had a great time we did as well even though the Mets lost.

⚾ Mets vs. Yankees✨

By tvtowns |

During my time in NY I absolutely HAD to have the ultimate NY experience. I went to a Crosstown Classic! Yes! Mets vs. Yankees for those of you who have no idea what I am taking about. A baseball game is NEVER a bad idea. My bff and I took the train from Times Square to Flushing. It was about a 40 minute ride. Citi Field is gorgeous, very clean and food was pretty good. I have to admit that this was probably the best, most live and energetic baseball game I have ever been to. I was so impressed with the number of fans that came out. Even the nosebleeds were full! Lol. There was also a fireworks show after the game. I definitely recommend going to a baseball game while in NY, definitely a Crosstown Classic if you can. Get there early because lines for food will be long as hell!

Great Stadium

By Cctrvls |

Checking a game at this stadium off the bucket list. Nice stadium, friendly locals. Only con about this stadium was having to wait in line for over 30 minutes just to get a soda and popcorn.

Outstanding.

By TheYelllowDart |

First time visiting Citi Field and completely impressed. Easy enough to figure out how to get to the stadium by car. Well directed. Parking was easy enough to figure out.

Breeze entering the ball park going through security.

Plenty of food options, easily able to find something for even the pickiest eater in your group.

Hard to find a bad seat in the stadium. We sat in section 112 and had a great view.

Will definitely return again.

Great day & food at Mets game

By NJBLUES |

I got free tickets for taking a survey, so decided to go to a 4:10 game (turned out to be a doubleheader). Great view of the field from most seats (if you are under the overhang you may not see the scoreboards).

It's a nice stadium, plenty of room to walk around with views of the field and tons of food choices. Drinks are expensive ($10-14 for a beer), we got the Mule from Jim Beam bar $20 double shot and a take home glass (a bargain at the stadium).

Food wise, on previous visits I was not impressed by Shake Shack or the skimpy sandwiches at Blue Smoke, so went looking for something new. I'll tell ya, I got the best thing I ever had in a ballpark at "Pastrami", a huge overstuffed Pastrami on rye, made while you waited & watch the guy hand carve the meat for your sandwich, it could easily feed 2. And for what you got; a actual bargain at $13.50 (hot dogs go for $7). Go there, you will not be disappointed!! (No time for photo, looked to good to wait)

Fun time, good crowd.

Awesome environment

By ETNfamily3 |

Went to the subway series (Mets v Yankees). Not being a fan of either team we got to just soak up the environment of both fans interacting with each other. This is a very nice stadium. Seating and site lines are good. Concession stands are nice and the amount of food given is ample. The team stores are well stocked too.

Family fun in NYC!

By Tara D |

We drove to Citi Field from upstate. We met our friends there. I was very impressed with this very family friendly baseball park! The parking was very easy and cost 25$ which is a bargain in NYC. We had great tickets and had a great time! There were many activities going on throughout the game that the kids loved! There were plenty of food options to choose from. They were similar in cost to other ball parks. The baseball park is beautifully decorated and well designed. It was easy to navigate. The Mets played a great game, which only added to the excitement! Overall this was a great family activity to enjoy on a nice summer evening in NYC! If you are visiting NYC, do yourself a favor and skip Yankee stadium. Especially if you have kids. The kids will enjoy Citi Field so much more! And it will be easier on your wallet! We can’t wait to go back again!

Pazzesco!!!

By ori |

Wonderful experience in this Stadium where the main show, the match, takes on an almost marginal contour.
A unique and surreal atmosphere all around, cheering, food, spectators.
If you come to NY you can not live an experience like this.

Family fun specialty frugal on price long on memories

By Brandon P |

Incredible comfortable Lounge and restaurant. Best price on seating with restaurant combo. Great choices of bar and grill. Cafe or fast-food. Loved everything about it.

Better go early for easy parking

By Naveed A |

I dont think there would be anyone out there who needs an introduction to this but advise is to early for easy parking and exit late after bitof the crowd clears out of be ready to stuck in traffic trying to get in or out

Plenty of parking

By Jojoman |

After a frightful night at Yankee Stadium, the relatively wholesome, family atmosphere of the Mets ballpark was a welcome treat. And considering it's New York, the parking was surprisingly plentiful. The drive from the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel to the stadium was uncommonly easy.

New Mets museum is disappointing small and not located where fans will see it!

By Eric R |

Citi Field is a great place to watch a baseball game and lots of improvements have been made since it opened in 2009. The new scoreboard is huge and the stadium staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the Mets re located the Mets hall of fame plaques and museum. The hall of fame plaques look out of place upstairs in the JRR. The new Mets museum is too small and doesn’t pay homage to the wonderful Mets memories. My favorite baseball team has let greed getting in the way of paying tribute to the players of yesteryear. The larger team store is nice ,but not at the expense of the Mets hall of fame and museum.

Best Baseball Stadium in NY

By Oscar M |

One of my favorite stadiums for the views, atmosphere, craft beer selections and food choices! Also can get a certificate for going to their first Met game.

Easy to get to - once you know where you're going

By gostartraveler |

Easy to get to, once you know where you're going. Went by car, drove down College Point Boulevard. Just because the sign says "Citi Field Parking" does not mean that Citi Field is located within the grounds of the old Worlds Fair, but rather on Roosevelt Avenue. (No, there's no signs once you enter the WF grounds!) Team store was open for holiday photos with Mr. and Mrs. Met. Real nice and professional set up and assistance, and I found what I was looking for in the team store. Parking was easy, too. Only downside was 1) no garbage can to throw away something (so I wound up carrying it with me throughout the store!) and 2) no bathrooms were open - and I had a toddler with me. They should have at least one bathroom open in the stadium rather than have people walk around the corner to the brewery. Will come back here for a Sunday game because they have kids' activities beforehand. Passport stamp available at Team Store.

Not a baseball fan, but this stadium is great!

By psudino |

To preface, I went to a game with a bunch of friends and family to be social, not to watch the game. Thankfully, the stadium is an awesome building.

The interior is almost like a high end hotel and the staff was very friendly. It was kept very clean and the bathrooms were also nice.

There a plenty of expensive food options and plenty of nice seating areas too.

Overall, a good time for even me, someone who is not a fan of the game.

BTS Concert

By Tpetersengardine910 |

My husband & I surprised my daughter with tickets to the BTS World Tour Concert which she had an amazing time. She along with so many other young women were so thrilled to have the experience of seeing them in New York with hopes of them returning one day. The seats were expensive but worth every cent paid.

Had more fun than I expected to have due to the game actually being exciting!

By Karen W |

Not really a huge baseball fan, but had more fun than I expected to have. More women's bathrooms than one would think. Plenty of food and drink options. Clean!

Nice baseball experience

By Wayne P |

I've been to 115 baseball stadiums, major and minor league. I stayed near there but it appears easily accessible by subway. From a baseball fan's perspective, it had nice sight lines and all the seats looked like you had a good view of the action unlike it's counter part, Yankee Stadium. There were a lot of interesting food choices and I enjoyed their museum. They have a great tribute to Jackie Robinson. It has a view of the airport. I only have only good things to say about it.

Phillies vs Mets

By Tony B |

Considering it had been raining all day and stopped about 10 minutes before the game was due to start, the groundskeepers did an amazing job getting it ready in time. Great place to go for an evening, the Stadium wasn’t full so the atmosphere wasn’t great but still very good entertainment

Home-Run !

By Chris M K |

So, we took the opportunity to see a ball game whilst in NYC, without any prior planning we noticed San Diego Padres were playing NYMets - we'd seen the Padres play in California last season. From the centre of town there are a number of travel alternatives to choose from, the subway, yellow-cab, overland - or UBER ! Im not a rabid fan, or wasn't, of this service but I have to applaud the speed and convenience of the NYC service - from my device I could see the nearest cab being allocated my ride, see it travelling towards me and - well - it was c USD15.00 cheaper than the equivalent ride in yellow.

The stadium is awesome, clean, viewing great from practice;l;y everywhere, the food is varied and I would recommend you take time to scope all the offering before plunging in - we opted for dogs with onions and toppings - it was excellent - albeit a tad pricey. I think you have to accept when you go to an event like this you will be paying a little more for your food - it isn't quality food, it's convenient food as you would expect - and I think that's great - it makes for the whole evening experience.

I found the stadium half full, my 'in the gods' seats were soon swapped for something a little closer to the action and, to be totally honest, I did wonder whether the ball game action was secondary consideration to the advertising placards and enormous screen dotted around the action. I don't see this kind of stuff in the UK or further afield and I guess it is what it is - but 'over the top' I think describes the 'noise' around the game itself. Maybe it's just me but sometimes less is more....

I can wholly recommend this venue - it's americana, I guess it's authentic enough and the family had a great night out !! Well done Mets !

Gotta try the nachos

By KiwiGen |

Booked our last minute tickets via Stub Hub the morning of the game and even though The Mets sadly lost the environment itself was awesome. Everyone was getting into the game, the vodka drink I think was 80% alcohol which kept me nice and warm but the chicken nachos were amazing, I was a little tempted to get the large size in the helmet but trust me the regular size was huge and we couldn’t finish them. Plus the public transport was super easy and cheap to use to get the game, got the #7 line from the city and back again, a little packed but only because the tennis stadium is right opposite and uses the same line.

Enjoyed Mets game

By Jean L |

What a great experience being a Braves fan sitting amongst so many diehard Mets fans. They may not have been cheering for my team, but they were 100% invested in each and every strike, ball, player, foul, you name it. I was in the City three days and was excited to see that the Braves would be here. Thank goodness for SeatGeek and $40 tickets in section 337. A warning about the hot dogs. They are literally twice the length of the bun. And the fries are crinkle cut and fabulous.

Great experience

By hellybell14 |

Easy to get to using the subway. Staff helpful in locating our seat entrance. Great views from all seats. Lots of concessions , no big queues.

Best ball park in the area

By worldtravelerT1820IO |

I am a NY Yankees fan but I must admit that Citi Field is an incredible experience. It was well thought out and has a lot of fun things to do. From driving there, the parking is uneventful which is what you want. They now let you in with the security pre -clearance service so getting in is really quick. Then, once you are in, there are all kinds of food options and beer gardens plus a T-ball field for the kids where they can see themselves on the jumbo-tron. Well worth the visit. It helps if the weather cooperates.

Review of Hyundai Club Seating for Mets as of August 2019

By traveltime841 |

Here is everything you need to know about the Hyundai Club for Mets games - at least as of August 2019. Club itself has plenty of seating and good air conditioing. Soda, water, coffee, tea and snacks available from club opening until end of game - Dasani bottles were great, snacks were not (e.g. popcorn was cold). Pretzels from club opening until end of 7th inning (just ok - a little small but nice and hot). Salad station available from club opening until end of 4th inning (meh). Hot buffet and carving station from 1 hour prior to scheduled 1st pitch until end of 4th inning - I would skip everything available earlier and maximize this as it was superb - favorites were carving station, stuffed pasta and green beans but everything was very good. Burgers (sliders), hot dogs and nacho station from 1 hour prior to scheduled 1st pitch until end of 5th inning - somewhat meh particularly in regards to the sliders, but the hot dog was decent. Dessert from end of the 5th inning until end of the 7th inning - save some room as very good (make your own sundaes as well as nice selection of packaged ice cream bars/cones). Own bathroom in club a plus. Full bar available but not complimentary. You can bring food and beverages including alcohol to your seat (takes less than a minute to get to) but there is no at-seat service of any kind. Three sections in club (we were in first base side club) - nicely elevated to get good view of whole field. Got tickets via Stub Hub - you get all of the above regardless of where you purchased the ticket. Would sit in Club again, but would try to go on a less expensive night if possible

A Review of the Food Offerings!!!

By Richard S |

The food with its variety of clubs and different stands is superior👍
It is far better than Yankee Stadium.
If your ticket entitles you to go to the Foxwoods Club Go, Go, Go.
The seating offers both couches and chairs with tables. There is a bar. I was shocked to see the Top Quality Pastrami sandwiches being bought be persons in front of me.
***It is not an exaggeration to say that my Pastrami sandwich was the best one I have ever eaten***

Awesome Baseball Field

By Kuvasz1988 |

This is one of my favorite places to watch a game. The seats are wide and comfortable The walkways are also wide and provide a great deal of space for patrons. Of course the “show” is awesome in aspects of the entertainment. A must see!

Nice Park to watch a ball game only interrupted by LaGuardia take offs.

By Bill V |

We were there to watch the Mets beat the Yankees in the last game of the Subway series. A polite, baseball knowledgeable, fan base. There is too much visual pollution with the scoreboard games that are supposedly intended to entertain.
A great view of the Manhattan skyline. The ball park had a huge parking lot with tailgating close to the entrance. A great family environment.

Let's go Mets

By CrJim7 |

Great outing with the guys, restaurants excellent, easily accessible from Manhattan and long island, parking can be a bit tricky

Staff is great!

By Matt C |

Staff is so friendly and helpful. Attended on a cool night in April and every staff member I interacted with was super helpful and pleasant.

Great atmoaphere

My friends and I visited the stadium for a Mets game a couple weekends ago and had a great experience. The stadium is in close proximity to subway station. The stadium is clean and welcoming. We felt safe here and was easily able to access our seats.

AWESOME BALLPARK

Awesome ballpark. Came to a couple of games during the 2023 season. Planning to come back. Great concessions and not a bad seat in this ballpark.

City of Dreams

By Edwin Padilla |

I finally had an opportunity to go to City Field. Family from Melbourne Australia treated us to a game on a Sunday afternoon. As a Yankee fan I was very impressed with the design of the ballpark.

We had good seats and a great view, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the crowd engaging, all up, we liked it.
I will be going back next season for the Subway Serves 2026.

Next time, I’ll arrive earlier so we can explore the venue.

Thanks Tripsters

Good Food…Good Vibes

Its OK

By Paul J |

Its clean, the hallways are wide, plenty of stalls and shops full of food and products to separate you and your money. As much as it has the classic ballpark on the outside, this is a sterile and heartless park. Any team could come in and call this home. Ticket prices have started to reach criminal levels. Even as a Met fan, I would say this place pales in comparison to parks like Camden Yards, SF, Pittsburgh, and (I hate to say this Yankee Stadium) Either was its part of NYC...so Lets go Mets

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLPARK

By David P |

This is a great day of night spot when the Mets are in town!! Must on the list of things to do. If you get a chance see about tickets for the Delta Club as the food and service are 2nd to none!!

Alsways good

By Micheltravel |

Ofcourse the famous stadium in NYC is Yankee stadium, but if they do play away,, citi field is a good alternative. Easy to reach by subway, baseball is a must do thing when you are in New York during the season. It is simply a half a day or evening out. You go there, drink too expensive beers, hotdogs, nachos or chicken tenders, watch a bit of sports and join the crowds on the way back. Americas favorite pastime

What to do for a local experience

By Ingrid S |

Not disappointed. It is a great experience for show, show and American greatness 🙂. Then for the sport, well we are not followers...so we found it long. But no regrets.

Very easily accessible by transport

Beautiful and clean stadium

By Julia N |

I’ve been here multiple times for Met games. Each time I come, it is clean and well run. The most recent was for another Met game. There are great food choices although lines can be long...expect prices to be high as with any venue of this nature. Bathrooms are also clean. During sunset, I got a great shot from the back side of Citifield. The hardest part is just exiting the stadium but it’s the case with every stadium...crowds, crowds, crowds. I did see a nice area specifically set up for Uber pick ups which I thought was great.

Great baseball stadium

By Grayhare |

Fun place to watch a ball game. Big improvement over Shea. For a day game sit on third base line. Lots of shade

Citi Field

By GoVols79 |

I love going to different MLB stadiums and this was my first visit to Citi Field. We stayed in midtown Manhattan and it was easy to get to the 7 train which takes you right to the stadium. We even got lucky and saw Mr Met before going inside. The rotunda is a great way to enter the park and I found it very easy to navigate. There were plenty of food options; especially on the main concourse level and in the outfield area. Our seats were in the upper deck which still afforded a great view of the action. The fans were into it which makes for a great atmosphere. Exiting the stadium and getting back to the train was easy as well. Our family had a great time seeing the Mets at Citi Field and would recommend it to any sports fan.

nice park

By Mark G |

this park is not huge, cozy, has nice views from almost everywhere. there are a lot of concessions and choices to eat. if you like planes, the airport is next door, get to see planes take off almost every minute.

Great Stadium

By Keesar |

Excellent stadium with reasonable parking. The stadium is clean and excellent for viewing a game. The food is actually very good here in this park. Ticket prices were fair. Fans were well-behaved. An enjoyable day.

Last Minute Decision

By Here and There Wendy |

My significant other and I made a last minute decision to hit up a Mets game since we had an extra day in New York. It was very close to our hotel near LaGuardia and a fun time. Food and drink options were great, but not too happy that most of the vendors closed up during the 5th inning. The people there were quite nice and the game (even though the Mets lost to the Dodgers) was fun to watch.

Amazing Ball Park

By chetnluz |

I've been a lifetime Mets fan and finally made it out to City Field, and it's breathtaking. We had amazing seats, checked out the museum, saw the Tom Seaver statue. It started out as a rainy cold miserable day but cleared up as soon as we arrived. The only downside to an otherwise perfect day was a Mets loss.

Father's Day

By Tracy M |

Enjoyed a game here on Father's Day. Had the pleasure of having lunch in the Porsche club. Great food and service. Stadium is very nice. Easy in and out. Took Subway to and from, very convenient. Concessions were plentiful and lots of choices. Seats were in the 300 sections, had great views of the game. Close to the airport, so planes constantly flying past. Thought this was a nice baseball venue. Enjoyed the game.

It really impressed this baseball stadium junkie!

By orange-u-tall |

Citi Field is the 18th different major league stadium I have been to, and it ranked very high on my list. There is the great design with the Shea Bridge in the outfield concourse area, and the plethora of good food and drink options. The Fuku chicken tenders and fries that I purchased in center field were remarkably tasty.

There are not really any bad seats in the layout and the staff was very helpful with anything you needed.

Nice Ball Park

By Eli B |

I am a die hard Yankee fan who lives in Queens so oftentimes I find myself at Citi Field to catch a quick game. Citi field is an enjoyable stadium as it is conveniently located and has a beautiful design. The ballpark offers a lot of great food as it is keeping up with the demand of the current generation foodies. The food isnt cheap, but no ballpark is.

A fitting home for the Mets.

By Harry A |

I've been coming to Mets games here since they were playing in the old Shea Stadium. I haven't been to many other ballparks in the US, so I don't have much to compare Citi Field to. That said, I love coming here. It's a beautiful park, with plenty of places to eat or just sit. The Mets put on a good show: they always do interactive things with the fans, and are very family friendly. Not much rowdiness, just a wonderful environment to kill a couple of hours with family or friends on a nice summer evening. The park is also pretty centrally located, and easy to get to with public transit (both LIRR and the subway stop right at the entrance to the stadium).

The only downside (which I would imagine is a downside at any stadium or arena), is that parking is a nightmare. Getting in and out of the parking lot is just a disaster. Coming from Long Island, it takes me a half hour to get to the stadium, and another half hour just to get from the highway exit to an empty spot in the parking lot. If you're driving, make sure to leave a lot of extra time.

If you're in NY (even if you're not into baseball), go to a Mets game! They are super fun!

great day!

By Georgann C |

Great day at Citifield/Shea stadium. Pricey starting with parking ($40) but clean and organized.
All the seats are good, so many choices for food.
We did pat La frieda’s filet sandwiches which were amazing. We parked near the exit so easy out at bottom of the ninth. Lots of young families making memories. We definitely recommend it.

Great place to see a game

They did a very nice job with this stadium-- seems like all seats are good- and they had decent food choices too- including SHAKE SHACK-

Great experience

By Harvey M |

Great experience would definitely go back again getting to the venue was easy on the subway. Getting through the ticket gates of security no issues at all plenty of food and drink outlets a good number of team shops. Was guided to my seat first time ever at baseball. Great atmosphere thoroughly enjoyable

Nite Game

By Daniel D |

Nice Looking ballpark. Cons. Nothing to really do after the game unless you want to shop for hubcaps. Stadium is in a real depressing part of town. Prices for food are outrageous. I know this is NY and every thing is high but thet are nuts what they charge and way more expensive than oyher parks around the country. Almost impossible for a family of 4 to go to more than 1 game per year. If you get a free ticket, it"ll still set you back $100 for food. Their concession is from Aramark who all across the country have a horrible reputataion and treat their employees bad. Viewing game is ok, but don"t go hungry

One of America's Best Baseball Parks

By Alex Beene |

After years of primarily going to Yankee Stadium, I'll admit I was skeptical. I went here for the Mets/Braves series thinking I was going to the inferior baseball park in the city. Was I mistaken or what! Citi Field is absolutely gorgeous. The staff in and around the park are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food options quite simply can't be matched; there's such diversity in the offerings you can get for a full meal or a light snack. Best of all, it's very easy to get to via public transit if you're staying in the city. And you should take the subway! An Uber or taxi ride from midtown Manhattan was running $70 on a Monday afternoon prior to rush hour. Just get on a train, budget yourself about 40 minutes to arrive, and when you get off, prepare for one of the best live baseball experiences of your life!

Concert killer

By TheJanvers |

Few venues could extinguish a concert-goer's enthusiasm more quickly than Citi Field. The issues begin before arrival, at least if one has the unfortunate circumstance (or the need) to go by car. The entire venue was surrounded by seemingly needless lane closures, prompting long and slow backups in all directions. Once in the near vicinity the congestion does not abate with the stadium itself ringed like a fortress by police barriers and police who aggressively defend their turf. So expect a long, crowded walk around the perimeter to find the one entrance your tickets may have allotted you. Once that's been located a long, slow line is the next irritant. Stadium safety if of paramount importance, no question. But unhelpful, uninformed, seemingly untrained ushers at the entrances doing little but slowing things down (while scores of people push past in the confusion without having their bags searched) impresses no one and ensures nothing but frustration and a tardy entry. Departure is no better - quicker, to be sure, but considerably more chaotic. Again, police were heavily present, all barking out orders of where not to go (everywhere) and where not to meet your car (again, most everywhere). Stadium venues are never a favorite, but Citi Field takes the cake for an unpleasant experience to suck the fun out of what should be an enjoyable outing. Not at all recommended.

Nice ballpark!

By Fred R |

Citi Field is a very nice with a ballpark feel. Much better than Yankee Stadium, which I visited the night before. Very clean.

Nice new ballpark

By fried003 |

Having been to Shea Stadium several times over the years, there was no doubt it needed updated or replaced & CitiField is the result they decided upon the latter. It's a very nice, clean & spacious facility. There;s nothing outstanding about it, but no awful flaws that I noticed in two visits. The most impressive area I thought is right after entering through the main gate - there;s a cathedral-like entry area with a ceiling as tall as maybe the top three levels. I thought I heard that there was something along these lines at the old Ebbetts Field where the Dodgers used to play in Brooklyn.

What I noticed was the wide concourses, even up on the highest level, Once I was up there, it was spacious. It seemed like a mall food court with tables for those who didn't want to carry their food to their seats. There was also enough bathroom facilities, though the games I attended were far from capacity crowds.

The one flaw I might note are the stream of jets going (out) about every minute. I guess the players don't notice & maybe up in the 5th level I did. Also the speakers are there, so our seats were close to them. Between the two, I found it somewhat loud there. If I ever go back, I'll think about sitting lower.

Otherwise, there's a giant clear video screen, scoreboard, etc. Like every MLB stadium, there's organized joy between each 1/2-inning. Access from Manhattan is a breeze by taking the #7 subway line & there seemed to be a lot of parking around the perimeter of the stadium.

Take the tour!

By Nathan R. Shrader |

Although the game was fun, I suggest paying the $40 for the ballpark tour. It was worth every penny, especially for the chance to sit in the press booth and hang out in the media room. Please do yourself a favor and visit the Mets Hall of Fame and Museum too. I sat in Section 410 and it was one of the best ballpark views in baseball.

Modern family friendly stadium

Was taken by my Mets-loving cousin to experience live baseball with my teenage son. It's a modern, well laid out stadium with good visibility from all parts of the ground. Lots of places to eat and drink, though the queues were long and service times surprisingly slow. Good experience overall, however, topped off with the Mets winning 6-5.

Great place to see a game!

By Brian D |

What a fantastic job they did with the new stadium. There are not many bad seats in the house. Great place to see a game. The food options are great too. Take the train if you can and avoid delays driving home.

Mets and a Win

By gmiker |

The day threatened rain all day, but it held off for the mets vs. Brewers. This was my second time to Citifield and my wife's fist time. We had a blast at the game as we sat right behind the Mets dugout. We walked around the concourse and found a Gluten Free option for my wife. The food was great, seats were great, and the game was great. After the game we visited the museum to get a history of the Mets; the displays were well done and we are so glad that we took the time. Go Mets

Great Concert Venue

By MeadowsValleyForge |

Very nice place to watch a concert, clean facilities, seats are comfy, well organized event and excellent staff.
Parking is quite steep $40, but with very good security. With heavy NYPD police presence & canine units, you are assured of a safe event for the entire family.

Amazing Stadium

By Henry M |

My wife and I took the kids (teenagers) to see the Mets played the Nationals (nice 5-3 win for the Mets). Seats were great, atmosphere electric and food was good. Lots of places to choose for food. We were in section 137, row 5 and we had a blast; saw 2 homeruns land close by. Kids loved the whole experience. We arrived early and parked by Marina east, though would recommend taking public transit if want to save some money; parking is $25 just about everywhere around the stadium. Police did a great job directing traffic (hats off to them). Staff at the park was friendly and efficient. Prices are same as other stadiums I have visited ($13.50 or $14.50 for beer depending on choice). Would love to attend again in future.

Very nice stadium

Beautiful stadium. Nice night out. Lots of food options. Even if your not into baseball, it’s still an enjoyable experience.

Extremely Impressive!!!!

By Michelle M |

Not gonna lie- I’m a Yankee fan, but found Citi Fields to be extremely impressive!!! Prices are reasonable and there is a ton for the kids to do. So many play areas and all very clean! Food was delicious. Definitely one of my kids favorite stadiums- we will be back!!!

Opening day

The ballpark is a friendly environment.. they have actively for the family and kids.. of course they have several dishes to eat or just your regular hot dogs and pretzels and crackerjacks..

Food at Citi Field

By Lizzysmom |

went to Citi Field for a concert. I understand going to an event like that the price of food is astronomical, but the burger pictured had cheese, lettuce and tomato and it didn't have any lettuce or tomato and was the size of a White Castle burger for $20. Popcorn was stale and the lemonade bitter. Citi Field you need to do better. I have been to other MLB stadiums and their food was REALLY good and it makes paying those prices a little easier.

Go Mets!

By streifen |

We booked a tour of Citi Field and were not disappointed.

Located very near to Mets-Willets Point subway station (train no. 7 from downtown), it is easy to get to.

Our guide, Dan, was friendly and being a Mets fan as well, provided lots of info during the guided tour.

Behind the scenes visits were great.

Only disappointment is the Mets Store was closed during this off-season.

Still a must go for baseball fans especially Mets fans!!

Go Go Go Mets!!

Let's Go Mets!

By BossQueenEJ |

Trite but true. For a Mets fan, this place is heavenly. Even if you aren't a Mets fan, it is a nice ballpark. This was a family of 7 adults pilgrimage. We took the #7 train and the excited mounted as we walked towards the stadium; it got really high once we could see the stadium. We went consecutive nights; Friday is when we did most of the looking before getting in line as it was less crowded. The home run apple from Shea is between the train & the stadium; we had to see it. We looked at the bricks outside the stadium and the other points of interest (signage, statues, etc.), walked around all inside the stadium, went to the hall of fame, and of course, the fan gear store. If you are a die-hard fan, arrive to get in line before the gates open. If it is a special night, such as the Syndergaard as Thor bobblehead night (8/4/18), get there about 90 minutes before the opening. We arrived that night before about 4.15 (for a 5.10 opening) and were about 600th in line; there were 3 or 5 lines formed that we could see. The night before, for the t-shirt give away, we arrived at 4.30 and were nearly the first in line. We ate pricey ballpark food but it was very good. Our vegetarians and vegan were satisfied. Our hotdog lovers were happy. You are allowed to bring in a factory sealed water bottle (20 oz or less) or/and a child's juice box; they cannot be frozen. There are water fountains outside the restrooms, so you can refill your water bottle if you need to. Seats at the stadium are good; I don't think there is a bad one for viewing the game. Go prepared with a sweater or covering as you may be hot when you arrive and chilly by the time the game is over. One downside: there aren't enough escalators or elevators for the elderly/handicapped/disabled. After the game, the gates for the #7 train were open, so we did not have to swipe our passes. That was bonus. Train cars were VERY crowded though so be prepared to spring and gently push your way in if you need to keep your party together.

BTS Concert

By Katoria T |

Make sure you enter stadium on the side of field as your seat. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THRU ANY ENTRANCE..you are made to walk around until you find your seat entrance to enter.

Fan Friendly

By Roy F |

Great place to watch a game from any seat. Several elevators but only two escalators that I found more accommodating to upper levels. A wide variety of tasty foods from which to choose. Can be pricey as in most sports venues.

Loved Citi Field

By RxVacation |

We all had a fantastic time at Citi Field. We had awesome seats to enjoy the game and the food and drinks were great. We attended another baseball game at Yankee stadium a few nights after this Mets game and Citi Field is a nicer ballpark, IMO. Better prices overall here at Citi Field as well.

Great stadium inside and out.

By chandler810 |

Outside looks like a roman coliseum with beautiful brickwork. Some of the area around the stadium was a bit shady. Inside was easy to get around and find seats. Field and walkways looked clean and crisp.

Fans were super excited to see Ichiro bat and the crowd exploded when he got a hit. The big apple rising up and down a couple of time though out the game was cool to see.

First baseball game

By Lorna M |

Went to see the mets play the tampa bay rays for my first baseball game. Even though the mets lost 9-0 it was such a great experience. The stadium and the game were great! It got quite hot in the sun so the expensive seats we paid for were ditched and we moved back about 20 rows to the shade but didn’t care as it was much more comfortable so my only advice would be if the weather is due to be hot-buy seats under cover, especially if you have kids!

Great place to see a game (and this is from a Cubs fan)

By Scott F |

Had upper-deck seats to watch the Mets take on the Cubbies (sadly, Chicago lost) and can say it was one of the most enjoyable baseball experiences I've had in my many decades of going to games. The ballpark is beautiful and our "cheap" seats had a great view. And if you're an out-of-towner who has any trepidation about watching a game surrounded by locals, don't. The crowd was boisterous, but funny and friendly. Everyone in our section was trading jokes and stories by the end of the game. Food/beverage options are clean and just as pricey as you'd expect. Restrooms were clean, too. And if you like airplanes, you can watch takeoffs and landings at LGA from many of the seats!

One of my favorites

By K_B |

Been to Citi Field 11 times and been to 20 stadiums overall. With that in mind, Citi Field ranks in the top 3 for me. For being in New York its easy to get to, plenty of parking and great seating views. Concessions are better than average and lines usually are at a minimum. I used to love sitting in section 125 row A, but since they extended the netting the section is useless and you feel caged in. Did not like that change at all, gives very poor sight lines. I like that the good seats give you different club access which is very nice on rainy or hot days. Only real negative is theres nothing to do after the game. Used to be a line of chop shops and garages around the stadium. But looks like they wrecked most of them, so maybe they are planning on adding attractions or restaurants around the stadium. Love Citi Field, would recommend. Also going as a visitor fan, i've never had any problems. Tough to say that at the other New York teams stadium.

Great time at a great ballpark

By Marty1970 |

My wife and I recently visited New York to attend the Mets/Brewers series and really enjoyed our time at Citi Field. The stadium is a great new addition to many of the other newer stadiums that have been built in the last 20 years. Seating is spacious, the views are very good, and the staff is very friendly and eager to help. We sat on the third-base side on the first level for two of the games, and behind home plate in the Excelsior level for the third game. All three locations offered a great view of the game. Citi Field also has a good variety of food options and we loved the area behind the bleachers that offered different choices of food from many different restaurants. As with other newer ballparks, it has its own unique features that you can explore as you walk around the stadium.

Great modern ballpark

By Okanagan traveller |

The seats were well priced and the stadium is nice. Inside you can see the Mets Hall of Fame. There are an enormous amount of options for food and restaurants- more than I have ever seen at any sports venue. Go to Shea bridge for outdoor seating and good food options

Good but generic ballpark

By parksenthusiast |

Citi Field is a good place to see a game. The stadium is easily accessed from public transportation; the Mets-Willets Point stop is just a few steps from the park. Our experience was positive on the whole. However, as someone who has visited several baseball parks around the country (Busch, Kauffman, Fenway, Wrigley, old Yankee Stadium, etc.) I could not help feeling that the experience at Citi Field was a bit…generic. There did not seem to be an organic team or fan culture there.

Dead and Company!

By Fluffhead711 |

Great place for a concert! Staff is amazing! Both nights me and my wife were upgraded to better seats! Thanks Citi Field!!!

Good Ballpark Experience

By BigBenG92 |

Great atmosphere, very easy to get to on the 7 train, lots of excellent food options. Honestly, about 100x more enjoyable than Yankee Stadium in terms of area, crowd, food, etc. Mich nicer amenities too. Would recommend a game at Citi instead of Yankee Stadium any day!

Great food and love the stadium

By 960hd2018 |

Always a good time, best sausage hero's and funnel cakes. I just wish the Met's would win more, lol.

Get dropped off right before the game and jump in a can to get the hell out. What a sh@thole.

By Steven H |

No businesses, no bars, no vendors. Just a beautiful stadium plunked down on the absolute HOOD. TRASH. Disgusting. We like to arrive 5 hours early and get merch, sample the food, pregame and hit the bars. Have the cab drop you off RIGHT AT THE GATE as you will likely be robbed. Brewpub on the outskirts of the stadium is closed. Sports bar on the corner doesn’t open until 5 or so. This is an absolute danger to humanity and should be condemned. Ridiculous. I’ve been to 12 parks so far and even Oakland was better. Wow.

Nice stadium

By rayroy |

Went to New York to visit family they took my wife and I to a Mets game. We had a good this was only my second ball game and wife's first. The food and drinks were expensive ( to be expected) so I would eat before going if I ever go to another game but definitely had a blast.

Nice Ball Park!

By newfiebullet2016 |

Had a great visit. A good variety of eats inside the park. Not much in the area around the park, but I felt safe in the area.

Nice ballpark, easy to get to, but nothing too special

By TipperNC |

I went to a Mets game during a business trip to check one more ballpark off my list (which is getting to be about 30 parks now, including many that are no longer in service...sigh).

Citi Field is nice, but really isn’t anything too special. They failed to take advantage of the Manhattan skyline and you don’t really know you’re in NY while you drink your $13.50 Miller Lite can. But the sight lines are good, there are plenty of concessions and bathrooms, and the seats are comfortable. Food prices particularly at the more local specialized places are, as expected, astronomical. I saw $9 ice cream sandwiches and $15 chicken sandwiches to go with the $14 beers. A small Mr. Met plush toy was $25. Welcome to NY!

It was very easy to get to Citi Field - I took the 7 subway train from Times Square and was there in under 30 minutes. And it was like $6 round trip, a veritable bargain. Security was relatively quick. The park entrance is a little strange - you enter into a medium sized open area where you immediately need to go up several flights of stairs/a large escalator no matter where you are sitting. That’s a pretty weird design.

Overall Citi Field is nice and unassuming and similar to the newish parks in Philly, Arlington, Cleveland, etc. I won’t hurry back but I’m glad I went.

Opening Day!

By Macetoons |

What a game...first trip to New York and a Mets game, opening day 2018 and a win. Let’s go Mets! Citi Field staff were so helpful, the concessions delicious and our tickets were the best RF Block 407, Row 1, Seats 3&4 couldn't ask for a better view...

Good park

By PTycz |

Saw Mets beat the braves. Very nice field with great sight lines and plenty of food options. Nice night out.

Worth the trip, even for Boston fans

By Annie D |

My son and I were staying nearby and had a free afternoon. It worked out perfectly that the Mets had an afternoon game.

This stadium is brand new and beautiful. Very easy on-site parking ($40). If you get there early consider walking through the train station and over the pedestrian bridge to Corona Park... maybe a half mile away?... some interesting sights and a good photo op with the "Unisphere".

Anyway, the Mets game was fun to watch, seating was comfortable, and there is an incredible variety of concessions. We stuck to the basic hot dog/cotton candy/water on an extremely hot day but many of the other offerings looked delicious.

If it's going to be hot I suggest getting a seat on the third base side which seemed more shaded. We were on the first base side and melting in the sun! But the game was not sold out and we were able to move into a shaded section later on.

Overall an excellent park and great way to spend the afternoon, even as Red Sox fans!

love the mets!

By eileen c |

Great new stadium that has a great view from any seat. The best seats to me are in the left field section 100's where there is an overhang for shade the last few rows of each section. This is great when it is hot out or for a rain delay. I went to see the 69 Mets tribute and it was a wonderful but hot day. As with any stadium, the food and drinks are pricey but they let you bring in snacks and one SEALED water bottle per person. They cannot be frozen and must be in an open tote or bag, not a backpack.

The better of the two stadiums

By cantesynge |

This is one of the nicest stadiums I've ever seen a ballgame in. The park is clean and well cared for, the food choices are diverse, and the game atmosphere is truly enjoyable. I feel that this stadium is an improvement on Shea and a better venue for baseball than New Yankee Stadium.

An experience worth trying

By Camdenbear |

This is definitely worth the subway ride out to experience. From Midtown get a 7 train from 42nd St, though make sure you get the express marked with a purple diamond, not the local. I have to confess that my main reason for attending was to avoid the tennis, my wife wanted to take my son the US Open and the thought of 4 hours of tennis filled me with dread.

This is where Citi Field came into it's own, when you get off the subway you can take one exit to Citi Field or the opposite one to the tennis, so I could drop her off and go catch some beer, sorry baseball.

Seat wise I booked section 527, way up in the gods but booked for a reason, Citi Field still has two areas for smoking and one of these is located on a ramp behind section 527. $23 for the seat, so very reasonable.

The view from my seat was great, I seemed to be in a family section, not an official family section but everyone around me for about four rows all seemed to be from the same family which made for entertaining banter.

Now the expensive bit, the tickets were cheap but the beers, well that is another story. Bud Lite $14.50 a can, as were a few others, the cheapest beer was Stella at $13.50 a can. Could not work out why Stella was cheaper, turns out the cans are a few oz smaller. There are multiple food vendors on each level including a Shake Shack, though hands up, it was a liquid one. I drink in London in the West End, £11 for a can of Stella??

The game itself was a great spectacle, shame about the result.

Incredible stadium

By Matt T |

Visited here for my second ever baseball game and first at Citi Field. Incredible stadium, especially coming from someone who is used to English league one football stadiums! Very easy to get to from the subway and easy to navigate around. Bought tickets on the day from the ticket office which was incredibly easy with plenty of seats still available despite it almost being a sell out. Picked cheaper seats near the top but still had an incredible view of the field. Comfortable seats with plenty of space and a cup holder on every seat for drinks. Plenty of food/drink outlets around the stadium. Amazing atmosphere which is very family/child friendly. Even if not a baseball fan, I would recommend this to any family visiting as it fills 3 or 4 hours nicely

Perfect choice for ballgame..

By BATMAN & CATWOMAN |

The perfect choice to take in an afternoon ball game and enjoy the Mets and the weather. Try out the Metropolitan for a snack and drink and watch the game from a sky view.

Fab atmosphere and food

By Blonderaisa |

My husband and I went to watch our first live baseball game and the atmosphere was amazing. It helped that the mets were giving away a build a bear teddy 😃. We arrived a few hours early on the subway and enjoyed walking around the stadium and trying to catch a baseball (which I failed at) in the bleaches.

The game was good but the food was amazing. Definitely try the steak sub!

A smaller field than was expected, with fine sightlines evrywhere

By hennybogan2017 |

Henny Bogan Does Citi Field
The surprising thing about Citi Field in Queen’s is its size, being somewhat smaller than I expected for such a large city. My box office man was very helpful and got us into a shady niche on a sun-filled afternoon. Viewing sightlines were very good with not a bad seat in view anywhere. Centre field seemed a bit short at 408 feet and indeed coughed up two quick homers. The wide walkways behind the field soon gave way to slews of fast food joints with lots of alcoholic drinkypoos available. And the planes landing at nearby LaGuardia provided enough diversion for one afternoon. Oh, I hasten to add that the subway stops just outside the field and the other side of the tracks is slated for the U.S. Open in tennis.

Fun place to catch a concert

By Corey B |

Headed to a Dead Show with a few friends. The facilities were clean and I was very pleased there were plenty of hotels within walking distance to the field.

One of the nicer new stadiums

By Ken V |

This is one of the nicer newer style stadium being built today. easy to get to, great food choices, although like everything in NY expensive.

Always great

By wilvey |

Always fun to visit and even better when the Mets win. The stadium has many historical features in a small history museum. You can find the old home base marker for Shea in the parking lot. The food selections are great with a few new trendy options added each year. Last year was cookie dough treats from Do, this year was egg bubble waffles from Wowfulls. Overall a great outing!

Nice ballpark

By Leslie O |

I try to go to as many ballparks as possible. I’m pretty easy to please, but on the other hand I’ve been to a lot of ballparks and can’t help but compare. That said, I think my family’s visit to Citi Field was one of the best ballpark visits we’ve had.

Overall, the atmosphere was great. The Jackie Robinson Rotunda is very nice and provides a special touch to the park first thing when you enter. We sat in the upper level in the outfield and still felt like we had decent seats. Most ballparks can be described as “not a bad seat in the park” and I think Citi Field is one of them. The park was fairly full for the game (against the Cubs) and I received nothing but friendly ribbing from the local fans for the Cubs gear I was wearing. Service in the team shop and concessions was efficient and very friendly (definitely not something found at every ballpark). Even the line at Shake Shack went much faster than other Shake Shack lines I’ve been in. I really liked the nods to Shea Stadium found throughout the park.

Logistically, we took the subway there from Manhattan after being tourists during the day (this was a 7pm game). There is a station right across the street from the ballpark. We knew we’d be doing this and so didn’t investigate parking options very much, but I was advised by several folks (including a local) that taking the train was the way to go.

One other note: The ballpark is near LaGuardia airport. Especially sitting in the outfield, we noticed many planes taking off and landing. I thought this would annoy me, but it didn’t. Maybe I was just in a good mood, but it almost added to the atmosphere. I expected to be annoyed by be distraction and maybe others would be, so keep this in mind.

One of the new Stadia that is people pleasant

By Marvin G |

City Field is a far cry from the old Shea Stadium. The only thing left standing is the Shea Bridge in outer right field. As you walk up to the Stadium from the Flushing line, you are engaged by a giant statue of Tom Seaver. Upon entry into the stadium, you are surrounded by memorabilia of bygone days encompassing names like Stawberry, Stengel, Piazza, Gooden, Koosman, etc and the Miracle Mets of 1969 and 1986. We had seats along the first base line in Row 16 with access to three clubs. With all of the food kiosks and stores selling swag, who needed them. We did venture up to the Piazza Club to catch a view of the NYC skyline from the stadium. The score board provided us with statistics on the player-at-bat and team that I never even knew existed.

We ate to our hearts content with my grand nephew attempting to outeat what the Shake Shack had in their larder. He tried without success; but, that kid could really pack it in. Dan liked the Premio sausages, while I stuck with shawarma at the Halal stand. There certainly was enough variety in the offerings to satisfy everyone. Also, the staff kept the bathrooms clean and there was virtually no litter on the mezzanine floors. It was a pleasant afternoon and my Mets beat Pittsburgh 8 – 3. What more could you ask for!

The only downside was a breakdown on the Number 7 and we were forced to vacate our train at Corona Ave., wait for three more trains to pass before we could get on another heading back to Manhattan. That’s New York for you.

Great night of baseball, but not all hot dog stands are equal

By MO_Mule_Rider |

We went to Citi Field for a Mets game Saturday evening. The stadium is amazing, our seats were good, but not all of the hot dog stands cater to vegans or vegetarians. I went to the stand closest to our seats (section 141, near the Shea Bridge), and the menu listed veggie dogs and veggie burgers. I tried to order two veggie dogs, but I was told that all veggie items take at least 20 minutes. The cashier couldn't explain why a menu item at a concession stand would take so long, so I walked away, not willing to give them any business. I continued to walk away from our seats towards home plate, and I found another hot dog concession that listed veggie dogs and burgers. Rather than be disappointed again, I was ready to order pretzels and other items, but I asked the cashier if the 20 minute delay for a veggie dog was accurate. She gave me a puzzled look, so I explained that's what I had been told at the previous concession stand. She told me that I wouldn't have a wait as they were generally ready. I was a satisfied customer.

Concert Venue Experience

By Natalie P |

Location as a concert venue was disorganized and congested. No signs with directions were posted anywhere, parking lot was full before announced time of parking, we were directed away from the venue and ended up doing a loop driving through town. At the rotunda entrance it was a free for all with lines everywhere and no direction as to which line was for what. Show was delayed due to weather which is understandable, but communication was lacking. Space did not accommodate crowd well, bathrooms were in horrendous condition. Suggest parking across the bridge in the Sky view mall building. Easy in and out parking there with short walk to stadium.

Badly planned customer experience

By Rob7142 |

Went to a midweek game sat in the upper deck and never saw an usher or security person during the entire game. Went to shake shack for dinner, and the line wrapped through all the ropes they set up. It was at least a 30 minute wait, same for bbq or Mexican. I know the Mets stink this year, but if we came out to see the game we don’t want to waste time on a huge food line. There were many food stands closed, which added to the lines.

Great Experience and Great Win

By Mr Robbs |

I am an Oakland A’s fan so when they came to New York I had to go to the game. Despite being to New York City many times it was my first time driving in and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Our seats were about ten rows behind the A’s dugout and the view was amazing. The food was very good throughout the stadium and the overall experience was amazing. Plus the A’s won the game!

Stadium Number 22

We traveled with a large group of baseball fans on a baseball tour of several MLB stadiums. We definitely enjoyed our visit to Cit Field. The game was good (most are) and the food was also very good.

No reason to move the Hall of Fame & Museum

By John F |

I took the Citi Field tour yesterday. Got there 15 mins early like the ticket says & them proceeded to wait another 45 mins for it to start because our tour guide never showed up & apparently, no one in that building knows who or what is going on in there. Eventually, Justin from Events showed up & gave us a tour. Justin was fantastic & I must say that you have an incredible employee on your hands. None of this is his fault.

What happened to the Museum? I understand that the team store was cut in half when the previous incompetent owners made the hall of fame & museum space & I understand expanding the team store to the size it previously was, but what happened to the museum? You crammed everything from the museum to a hall closet in center field & the rest scattered around the stadium? And the hall of fame was scattered by the escalators by the main entrance? Really? You would think the Fred Wilpon still owned the team.

I must say, this was a bad job. I would expect better from an owner claiming to be a Mets fan first. It just goes to show that no matter who owns this team, they will always get it wrong & this team will always be second rate.

NY Mets vs. SD Padres

By Roger W |

Citi Field is home to the New York Mets. We attended the game against the San Diego Padres here. The stadium is located in Queens and can be visited by subway. We had a hotel in Flushing and could walk to the stadium. The stadium is relatively new and the atmosphere was good. As a baseball fan, visiting the stadium was of course a great experience.

Lovely baseball stadium

By 12: |

Friendly atmosphere. Nothing like sporting events back home, the fans sit together and get along very easily. There’s lots of expensive food stands around the field, large variety but a little bit lack lustre food.

Not a Mets fan, but this is the best park in the MLB

By Maltipoo16 |

I’m not a fan of the Mets, but I live in a Mets family, so the majority of the baseball games we go to are here. I’ve been to 5 other baseball parks so far and none come close to this park. There are so many different food options, a kids playing area, adult corn hole, and the organization gives away so many things to the fans. By far the best park in the MLB.

Great venue!

By outlaw1261 |

We were completely blown away by the stadium. Great view from any seat. Comfortable seats with leg room. And the amount of different food and drink choices is as good as it gets. Staff and security were friendly and helpful. And like most professional sports events, expect to spend some $$$$. Nothing is “reasonably priced “ it’s all pretty expensive but the quality is good. We had a great time!

Highly Entertaining!!

By simpr2018 |

Enjoy the mets play, full of energy the crowd is awesome and the fans are truly the best in the world!! Great food all around the stadium too

A great American Culture experience.

By TONY M |

We basically visited just to experience a baseball game which we don't know much about. As a venue compared to other large venues in Australia (Flinder's Park Tennis, MCG Melbourne, Suncorp Brisbane) we found it very well organized especially considering the size of the venue. Queues for entry and food worked well and the train only a very short walk away.

Home of the Mets!

Great stdaium with a great atmosphere! Nice place to hangout with the family, including kids and watch quality baseball! Easy access by metro. Totally worth it!

Love this stadium

By Marimou12 |

It’s my favorite stadium, so far. (Only been to 7)
It has an intimate feel and each personnel was helpful. (I need lots of help). Our seats were in the Excelsior level and were excellent. Now the Mets just need to step it up and win more games this 2018 season. LGM!

Nice ballpark!

By Kevin B |

Full disclosure, I'm a Yankees fan. However, my wife and I love all things baseball and our goal is to visit all of the ballparks. Citi Field was our 15th park and it's honestly a great ballpark. Getting here was super easy and the subway brings you right outside the park. We came for a Mets-Yankees game and it was a really fun atmosphere, lots of heckling, but no fights and just a good, fun rivalry. Drinks were great and they have lots of options, which was a good thing since we had a rain delay and had time to kill. The real standout here was the food and this was some of the best ballpark food we've experienced. My wife loved her lobster roll and I absolutely loved my porchetta sandwich. Ours views of the game were also great and it's a very nice ballpark overall!

What a stadium!

By S4Laa |

This was our first visit to a baseball game so were unsure on what to expect. Having been to many a Rugby and Football stadium I was impressed by the amount of space, food and drink outlets and the overall ease of getting around. Cup holders are such a simple thing but not something we have in UK stadiums. The food and drinks are expensive but very convenient. We were disappointed with the food quality but perhaps we were unlucky.

A wonderful place to watch a wonderful team. There are numerous food choices, from Mac and cheese to fish to your fav pizza and chicken nuggets. The bathrooms, even when the stadium is full is not too bad. The seats are a bit squishy - as in if there is a big boned person next to you then you will be squished. There is a lot to see in the stadium, do swing by the hall of fame.

mets game

By Carolannhut |

we had a great time the stadium is beautiful and well throughout out. You can view the game from all over no obstructions in the way. Would like more eateries on the higher level of better food choices.

Day at the park

By Michael B |

One of the best and most family friendly of all mlb stadiums. Always something for the kids to do in centerfield.

Newer park with an old school feel

By Aud E |

I have visited 15 of the 30 MLB parks. This one ranks right up there with Wrigley in terms of atmosphere in the neighborhood. The fans and staff were beyond friendly and the true New York accents made my day! Easy to navigate the park, groups food at decent prices. Highly recommend.

Great experience

By Sam |

Great stadium. Food is expensive but the options are endless. Seats all have a great view. Fun atmosphere in the Sunday afternoon sun. Would definitely repeat

Mets!!

By Miguel M |

A great place to watch the Mets. Prices are reasonable. Easy access from parkings. Didn't order food since wr were tailgating. Been there before in Suites price for a big group was reasonable. Food was great!!!

First baseball experience-loved it

By Always Reviewing |

We were desperate to see a baseball game, as we are from England, and don’t see any baseball. We were welcomed well by the staff who were helpful in getting in and finding seats. We enjoyed the food and drink that was on offer. We had a brilliant view! Family friendly and very enjoyable!
LETS GO METS

The Mets

By pamelamF2120IY |

Great park. There are free activities on the main level( dunking tank batting for kids). The only bad thing is the Mets did so poorly...but ya gotta believe.

Good time at Citi Field

By saturdaydiner |

I'm a Phillies fan and went to a Sunday game in late September that is huge in the Mets race for a wild card spot. At the same time the just needed a win to clinch the division a week early. A tough 2-1 loss for the Phillies, and while I had a little trepidation being a Phillies fan in packed Cuti Field, no worries. The crowd was great, the stadium was electric and the sausage and peppers were great. Friendly service too.

Ugly billboards and feels oversized.

By John D. Lin |

Feels aesthetically off with all the billboards and too spacious inside. Food is expensive of course.

Great ballpark. Feels close to the game

By Nicholas V |

This ballpark is great. Seats are so close to the action and it’s always a fun time watching the Mets.

Baseball game

By PamS |

We decided that a baseball game is part of NYC so we went to watch Tampa Bay Rays vs New York Mets. I even bought a Mets t-shirt which made me feel part of the team.
I have never watched this game before so I had no clue about the rules. Just sitting there and watching it was good and the atmosphere was good.
The stadium was large and had a lot of facilities to buy food and drinks.

Great place to see a game

By TODBMASIPC |

Citi is a great place to view a game. In a nasty neighborhood, but security presence is high and it is very safe.

Citi Field Pilgimage Site of 2015 World Series

By MiguelitoRichmonHill |

Finally visited Citi Field in Flushing, Queen, NY with my wife for a late season game with the Marlins visiting the Mets. My previous Mets visit was at old Shea Stadium.

Citi Field was a friendly and still-new venue to see national league ball. It has great site lines all around the field and you can see the action while walking all around the park. It has comfortable seats, plenty of rest rooms and it was really easy to buy food and drinks at this late-season game. Fan information is excellent with out of town scores displayed at all times-the way it should be. Advanced stats were shown on the scoreboard. They have started a strict admissions policy of no backpacks which is a pain in the tail in today's world.

When you walk in the main rotunda you see pictures of Jackie Robinson (who broke in near here with the Brooklyn Dodgers) and his career-which broke the color barrier. This is a very nice tribute. The Met's ongoing recognition of the Dodgers and Giants (previous NY teams who left just before the Mets were created in the early 60s).

The Mets' Hall of Fame was just OK. You almost think Tom Seaver was the only great ballplayer in Mets history. I would have liked to have seen more exhibits-its really just an extension of the gift shop. It would be good to see more info about all Mets playoff teams. Food was good-not as extensive as some other stadiums but there is plenty for people with different dietary needs. Staff was extremely friendly.

It's very easy to get to the ballpark via the #7 train or Uber from local hotels. We came on the subway from Manhattan and it took around 40 minutes. Traffic around the stadium is pretty messed up from my limited experience. Like it's predecessor Shea Stadium, it's right next to LaGuardia Airport and the Billy Jean King Tennis center-site of the US Open.

We loved our visit and were glad we didn't have to smell the Yankees while we were there ;).

I like this sports field - the Mets

By LeviY |

This is a great sports place to go in nyc area.
It is very clean and has multiple functions.
The MTA and lirr stations are both in front of its main gate. The transportation is quite good.

New York Mets v Cincinnati Reds

By The_Wanderer1992 |

My brother and I went to a New York Mets game on a Friday night. The field is directly across from a metro station. We had a great view from our seats. It was a fun game with lots of songs and entertainment. I thought 2 seconds of songs constantly playing was random and annoying. The Friday night firework show was exciting. Our food was nothing exciting. No vendors sold anything in the stands.

Intimate ballpark perfect for any event

By yyjRob |

Built with the fan in mind there are no bad seats. Safe and easy to get to via subway. Food was surprisingly good especially pastrami sandwiches.

METS Vs Washington

By chriskj2015 |

I visited NYC to celebrate my bff's birthday
Her husband bought Box Tickets for us to see the Mets vs the Washington Nationals.
This was a nail biting, action packed game.
I was a novice and couldn't believe the loud screaming and energy in the Stadium.
There were tense moments when we were sure the Nationals had taken an insurmountable lead, the METS came back and took the game!
Truly thrilling .

Breakfast options needed for early entry on day games!

By Maltipoo16 |

The stadium is very nice and they have excellent clubs/lounges that are included with select tickets. The concession prices are extremely expensive and when early entry for a day game is around 10:30, it would be nice to have a breakfast option. We resulted in fried Oreos, as no one had time for breakfast before the 5 hour drive to the stadium. We enjoyed the seats and the food options available.

Amazing stadium

By JUDE F |

First ever baseball game as on holiday and was easy to get to via subway from Manhattan roughly 30 mins. View from seats excellent and atmosphere brilliant real family feel to it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and drink excellent too with lots of choice.

Wonderful venue

By hopejudith |

Baseball is alive at citifield
Wonderful food choices
Great seat options
Staff is uber helpful and polite
Now they only need s winning team

Great place to attend a game!

By Oliver A |

I’d never watched a game of baseball before in my life. The stadium was really easy to get to by subway.

We weren’t sure on where to go to get in but each staff member we spoke to was really friendly and helpful! We also got a free shirt upon entry!

The stadium itself is very impressive and after watching the Mets take on the Detroit Tigers, I can now say I’m a new fan of baseball and will be following the Mets as much as I can!

Met's game

By Dewayne P |

On-site parking available for a cost. The stadium itself is really cool. I took the tour, which I highly recommend. All of the ballpark foods you could want, plenty of shops, and great views throughout.

Baseball: nah... Citi Field: yeah!

By mvanroy |

Second time I tried baseball but the game could again not convince me. I also had the feeling that people were not really paying attention to the game. A lot of eating, drinking but especially talking. Maybe because it was still early in the game?
Was it worth the experience? Yes sure! First of all, it's a nice stadium with an impressive entrance. View was good for the middle balcony. The beer tasted good, but the nachos and especially the toppings could be better. Left the game before the end... Five minutes walk to the subway station and back to Manhattan.

Mets game

By Andres72423 |

Best ball park in NY period. We may not have the best baseball team in NYC but we do have the best stadium. Not a bad seat in the house. The dining options are plentiful and for the most part they are good. Obviously expensive but it is what it is. Now if the team played as good as the stadium looks we would be fine. Regardless-Lets Go Mets!!!

A truly unforgettable experience.

By Ned Godfree |

An amazing experience. We watched the Mets v Giants game and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food looked delicious and all of the events were incredible - all the lights and fireworks dazzling us between every innings. I highly recommend - an unforgettable night.

Porche Grille @ Citifield

By drefinnej15 |

Had dinner here before the game. We had Delta Silver tickets for the game which gave us access. Paid a little extra for the tier seating by the window with great view of field. Buffet was better than expected with good service, but very expensive. I would dine here again though.

GREAT VENUE

By Genevieve D |

Citifield is a great ball field. Plenty of good food so when our Mets are losing we have something else to look forward too! Certain tickets allow you into certain Clubs which is also very nice.

Great Visit

By Cardinals23 |

Despite my team losing today we had s great time. Want to give a special thanks to the parking lot attendant by the VIP parking lot....he went above and beyond this afternoon.

Idiots

By Zachary B |

When entering, They make people throw out their backpacks, even if it is minuscule or has been searched thoroughly. You cant even pick it up later, it goes in the trash. Even when we emptied it out and put everything in our pockets, they still did not allow it. We had to walk around for 2 hours with loaded pockets and heavy coats, losing things. Its ridiculous because people bring bags and purses and nobody cares. It’s annoying af to even walk around here. They scan your ticket at every corner and ask where your going. If your seat is not directly infront of the entrance, they will make you go back inside to the nearest entrance. For example, we entered in the wrong place and the guy pointed us to our seats, which werent far, but made us go around. If you go somewhere that is even the slightest deserted, you will get screamed at. And the stadium itslef is like a maze so i dont know how they expect people to not get lost. The staff that tell you where to go always mess up and never know where anything is. When you ask, they will just make up a random direction and be unhelpful. Go Yankees!

Family with adult son

By John K |

I still miss Shea Stadium, and as the years go on the over priced events make it difficult for a young family to enjoy a baseball game

$25 parking
$14 beer
Overpriced sandwiches

Truly amazes me how American past time has become victim of commercialism, overpaying ball players, and putting out a sub par team. Very few owners care about a championship, it’s about revenues

For a person that loves the game, and has been to endless games when I was kid growing up in Flushing, I was at the park most Saturdays now I don’t rather spend my money elsewhere

Baseball is rubbish

By Thomas B |

Not impressed. Having never been to a baseball game was eager to come and give it ago. But was in shock of the prices of the food and drink. I’d go as far to say it’s criminal! Charging people $8.25 for a bottle of water is shameful! Furthermore, a pint is $15! So before you go make sure you’ve remortgaged your home and prepare to watch yourself to watch 10 minutes of sport over 4 hours!

Beautiful Ballpark

By George J |

Great place to watch a game and since the Mets aren't as in demand as the Yankees, it isn't quite as expensive. It's not perfect, the area surrounding the stadium is an eyesore. All in all though, I recommend checking out Citi Field.

Greg & Katherine Alleyne Harris New York Mets (MLB) game experience At Citi Field.

By Greg Harris |

Citi Field, the home field of the New York Mets, is one of the most gorgeous baseball stadiums of Major League Baseball (MLB).

My wife and I have attended multiple New York Mets baseball games at Citi Field and we have enjoyed each of our experiences at the stadium.

The seats are quite comfortable and provide fans great access and views of the Mets players and the baseball game.

My wife and I found the food selection to be tasty and superb, appreciated the support and service provided by the stadium’s staff, and we also enjoyed visiting the New York Mets Hall Of Fame & Museum.

All in all, my wife and I had a wonderful baseball experiences at Citi Field, and look forward to the day when the threat of COVID 19 ends and when Citi Field opens it doors to fans again.

Great Food

By Brandon |

A great stadium. The food options were a bit pricey but they were VERY good! The filet mignon steak sandwich was unlike anything I've had at any other ball park. Club tickets got us access to 3 different clubs and they were all air conditioned with very few lines for food. Definitely worth it.

this is a grear stadium - you can even see parts of the old worlds fair out the windows

By motherJo |

a must= if you like to cheer on the ny mets this is the home stadium- I love going there and looking out the window with a remnant of the old worlds fair. the food is the best too- there are certain clubs inside you can eat at depending on your tickets. pat la frieda steak Sandwiches are the best and I love the sushi

Disgusting guidelines

By KJD |

My small bag, that CAN be worn as a backpack, was not allowed because “no backpacks at all”. Yankees, Giants, Diamondbacks, White Sox, Rockies, Bay Rays, never was the small bag a problem. Until today at the Mets.
It wasn’t made clearly that backpacks (look-a-likes) are not allowed and when I was waiting in line and spoke to an employee from citi field, he said NOTHING about my bag. No, you can wait for a long time in line and then 2 important people tell you that your bag cant be taken inside.
I think there may be lockers, but you have to pay for it and I’m not entering the citi field with my sanitary towels and tampons waving in my hands. Dear Mets, follow the guidelines of the other stadiums and don’t treat people that pay 100 dollars like sh**t.

Amazing ballpark

By StephenCross |

Citi Field is the home of the Mets baseball team. It’s a great stadium with lots of food and drink concessions and overall a great experience.

Great (first) experience!

By Bob E |

As a Tourist one has an obligation to visit at least an 'All American' event. American football season hasn't started yet, Ice hockey and Basketball end of season, so baseball it is! Enjoyed it through the 8th inning, saw three home runs, had hot dogs, peanuts, ice cream, large coke's and some more stuff. Every intermission/change there was something going on, so never a dull moment as we had expected..... THAT was a nice suprise!

Great night out

By Sam I |

We had a fantastic evening watching the New York Mets. Tickets were about $15 and the atmosphere was incredible. A great way to spend an evening. 😊

Intro to Baseball

By Mark |

Fun and safe trip to first time baseball game. Subway journey from Times Square was easy, busy, pretty quick and safe. Picked up cheap ($24) with good views up on 5th tier. Food good, but service slow. Family all loved the experience, but got a bit cold towards the end of the game. Overall, definitely recommend for 1st time visitors as a safe, fun, entertaining event which always had something happening...even if the Mets didn't win!

Great Stadium!

By STLDood |

My husband and I are touring all the MLB stadiums (part of his bucket list). This was stadium #20 for us out of 30!
It's a beautiful stadium! The entryway to the stadium has a wonderful tribute to Jackie Robinson. It's extremely well done.
There are free things for the kids to do around the stadium, which is nice.
Food is average and over-priced, but that's true of most all the stadiums.
Very comfortable place to watch a game.

Let’s Go Mets!!

By Andres72423 |

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best baseball stadium in NYC. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The concession stand are plentiful and you have so many different options. There is so much to do when you visit the stadium. The food is actually pretty decent but be prepared to bring the brinks truck. It is expensive, but you are at the ballpark. They have television screens everywhere so you won’t miss a play if you are not in your seat. They even have a section for the kids to play and have fun. Let’s Go Mets!!!

Experience spoiled by Alcohol policy !

By Gerry S |

Just visited from the UK and saw the Mets play the Philadelphia Phillies. Experience spoiled as unable to buy a beer and a hot dog as we didn't have American ID or our passport with us. ( Who takes their passport to a baseball game ? ) Wouldn't accept our UK driving licences. I am 68 and my son is 28. So beware if visiting from UK take your passport with you if you want to buy alcohol.

Great Sunday afternoon at the Mets

By Daniel W |

Coming to America you have to go to a baseball game... right?

Well I did anyway and I was not disappointed. Despite the mets not winning, it was a great afternoon doing something different and experiencing new things

Great stadium and atmosphere.

By Sunlover092 |

Me and my family arrived half an hour early and we soaked up the atmosphere. It was are first time there. It was a brilliant game and Great chants and great atmosphere. Stadium was very clean and lots of options for food.

Great food, great ballpark

By ekelleman88 |

I prefer this ballpark over Yankee Stadium. There is a wide selection of food. I suggest the mac & cheese with brisket that is served in the centerfield area. I would also suggest sitting in the 400 level. The tickets are not too expensive but you are not that high up. There are only 4-7 rows of seats in the 400 level meaning there won't be too many people walking up and down the aisles, and you will be right by the concourse when you want to grab a bite to eat or go to the bathroom. The Mets Hall of Fame was a nice place to visit (I'm not a Mets fan but I still enjoyed it) Also, outside the ballpark is the home run apple from Shea Stadium.

Nice new park for the Mets

By Claudette C |

This was one of our stadiums on a recent baseball bus trip. I still call this park “new” as it was my first visit after closing Shea stadium.
The entrance at center field is impressive with the large pictures, quote from Jackie Robinson and a large team store. The home plate of Shea stadium and original apple are displayed outside the stadium. In addition they have some “Mets moments” on the walk surrounded by memory bricks. It provides a nice story if the team.
There are plenty of food choices ranging from standard ballpark food to more healthy options. There are touches if Shea stadium incorporated into the design like the bridge out on concourse outside center field.
The park itself is conducive to watching a game. Seats are all turned to face home plate for easy viewing. The scoreboard is large and has everything a fan needs to know to monitor the game.
There is a small museum right by the team store that houses their World Series trophies (1969 and 1986) as well as information about team greats like Tom Seaver

Great ballpark

By Maltipoo16 |

This ballpark is one of the favorites that I have visited. The games are so fun and there is always something going on. The food is excellent but can be pricey. Great for kids, as they have a kids zone with batting cages and a wiffle ball field. There are multiple giveaways during the game and t-shirt tosses.

Subway series

By Sunset92 |

We were there for the Sunday night Subway series game. I've been a Mets fan my entire life, but lately I do not go to the games because I am not happy with the way that they are running my team . I was given the tickets as a gift. I was afraid they were going to be swept and to my surprise they won.

Go Yankees

By Foothillbilly |

Well they lost. A nice new stadium for the Mets. However prospects are limited getting there. The 7 is 666.

Easy subway ride to Citi Field from Midtown

By Razorfish |

My wife and I attended a Mets game this past summer with my daughter, son-in-law, and three grandsons. Citi Field is a beautiful stadium. I went to from our seats took some photos of the sunset and planes taking off from LaGuardia. It is easy to reach the ballpark on the subway from Midtown. Just before game time a big shower of rain hit, which delayed the start of the game about an hour. We only lasted into the fourth inning because the kids were getting tired. It was good to see a Mets game at Citi. I enjoyed our visit.

Porsche Grill @ Citi Field

By Fenners_in_Bermuda |

I recently attended a Mets v Diamondbacks game at Citi Field and this was my first visit to the stadium. I have to say I was very impressed with this modern stadium and security and entrance to the stadium were very fast and efficient. There were plenty of staff on hand to assist with directions and answer other questions. As I went to find my seat, one of the staff looking at my ticket (bought on re-sale through TicketMaster) informed me that I also had access to the Porsche Grill, Foxwoods Club and the Jim Beam Club, which was a bonus.

I watched the first 3 innings and as it was a hot sunny day, I went up to the Porsche Grill which was fully air conditioned. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant area were nice and spacious with great views out to the field to keep track of the action, along with plenty of screens so as not to miss anything.

Prices were reasonable and the buffet food was very good. I met some lovely people in the bar and it made for a nice refuge periodically from the heat. I will definitely try and ensure I have access to the Porsche Grill when I buy my ticket for my next visit.

Great baseball experience

By phvi2617 |

Citi Field is a really great place to take in a game. The stadium itself is beautiful, particularly the grand Jackie Robinson Rotunda. It was a little tricky making my way to the upper deck, but overall it was open and easy to get around. There are a nice variety of concessions and it's a fun atmosphere in general. Getting to and from the ballpark is super easy from the subway, with a station just steps away from the home plate entrance.

Nothing really memorable

By SuperM0n |

We went to a Mets game at Citi Field as part of our tour of all of the MLB ballparks. It's fairly new and the main entrance rotunda was pretty, but there wasn't really anything memorable or outstanding about it. For us, it was a middle-of-the-road ballpark. On the plus side, it is super easy to get to. We took the subway from Brooklyn during rush hour ($2.75 one way), but other than being a little crowded, it was a breeze. The Mets stop is a short walk, on the other side of the parking lot. We left at the bottom of the 8th, so it was easy to get a train back. On the negative side, after waiting in line at a hot dog stand for 10+ minutes, when we finally ordered, they told us they ran out of hot dogs. Really?? At a ballpark? The cashier said they wouldn't be ready for another 10 minutes and told me I'd have to go to a different stand. I would have waited there rather than stand in another long line, but I wasn't going to argue with her, so I left.

Another plus was the Mikkeller brewery, housed in the stadium building, but with outside access only. It was fun watching all the decked out Mets fans.

METS WIN!

By jon_ryan024 |

Love the stadium, I'm a queens kid at heart. Been to many citi field games. The new stadium is just great, you can see the game from anywhere you are. They got tons of things to do. The vibe is crazy. Especially when the mets win haha def gotta come here

Great experience

By berchik78 |

Had a great time watching the mets take on the yankees. First time going to citi field and it was pretty fun.

Love Citi

By Glenn Corbett |

Second and third time there. I would rather go to Citinthan Yankee Stadium. Great open air park. Food has become more expensive over the years but still better than the other park. Straight shot on seven express subway from Times Square 42 street

Visting game

By 2Spigs |

The stadium is a nice stadium and the prices are generally cheap which is always a plus. Two big complaints is when its windy the concourses are constructed to be giant wind tunnels. Also they have a program where people go around and you can order food from them and have it delivered to your seat. These people are constantly walking the aisle and are constantly in view paths. Numerous people complained of this issue at the game i was at. The stadium has great views from the seats when people are not in the way.

Concert experience at Citi Field

By john13213546 |

I did not go for a baseball game. Instead, I was there for a concert. So far as stadiums go for concerts, the food options were actually quite good. Foot traffic flowed and the staff were abundant and helpful. The one real drawback is that the floor/general admission area was either alcohol or water. There weren't a lot of options down there if you weren't there to get drunk.

Brilliant stadium

By GLASGOWTRAVELLER_8 |

Really enjoyed our visit.

Good views of the game, great beer and good atmosphere.

Despite a complete idiot of a woman serving at the craft beer stall who was an attention seeker and went about things in a haphazard and infuriating manner it didn't spoil the enjoyment too much.

Plus the Yankees won!

A nice stadium though. Would go back.

Cool

By Scott8446 |

Drove past here and it looks very nice. Plan on visiting to watch some baseball in the future. Can drive past on the way to the airport and take pictures at the stadium.

Pirates beat the Mets.

By Sku58 |

A lovely walk to the stadium, with a real comfortable feel to getting into the stand. excellent food at Citi Field.

Take me out to the ball game!

By Lauren T |

Attended opening day with friends, getting to the field was so EASY!
The food offering was endless, all employees were very friendly and knowledgeable.
We will be back

Great Baseball Team

By J B |

I recommend watching baseball to visitors from outside the USA. Such a local pastime!
Citifield is a great ground and I’ve always managed to get tickets online easily. The website even shows you the view of the pitch from your seat which helps when choosing tickets. It’s easy to get to by subway and has a good atmosphere.

Great night at the ball park

By Andrew T |

Really easy to get to on the #7 train. Beautiful ballpark with great modern facilities. Great sight lines from 300 level. Security is really tight but quick and efficient. Just like every other MLB park, food and drinks are too expensive. Would recommend over Yankee Stadium as a venue (setting aside the obvious historical import of the Bronx baseball temple).

The Baseball Experience

By StuartP |

Citifield is the preferable place to watch a baseball game in NY. However, management still cuts corners in providing services to its patrons as the concession stands are not handled very well as they move very slowly and as in most stadiums the products are very over priced. There are maintenance items that are not taken care of and you just don't get the feeling that ownership really care what we think. Yankee Stadium has their own set of problems but at least ownership is making a legitimate effort.

Go and visit!

By bartmechelen |

We went for the Mets - Nationals game to Citi field.
Absolutely a amazing stadium.
Good food, good crowd and super baseball night.

Nice stadium

By Dillon X |

This is a very nice stadium located in Flushing, Queens with convenient connecting train Service to NYC Subway and Long Island RailRoad

Great ballpark.

By LLG1371 |

Visiting NYC and came out to see Citi Field on the last game of the season. Got to see not only a beautiful ballpark but also see Noah Syndergaard pitch a complete game shutout. Very easy to get to on the subway, nice museum where you can see their 2 World Series Trophies and other memorabilia.

Oh, those marvelous Mets!

By Vance D. |

The New York Mets’ Citi Field is about as good as it gets for the post-Camden Yards ballparks. Made of brick and steel with wide concourses plenty of architectural details and designs evoking Ebbets Field and the Polo Grounds, from NYC baseball past. Especially, the Rotunda entrance is a tribute to Jackie Robinson, while never a Met, the seminal figure for all modern baseball. Hall of Fame Mets banners decorate the outside of the stadium on one side and current players flags fly across from them forming a boulevard-like welcome whether you enter the park in Right or Left Field. Inside there are three tiers, with five levels plus the required luxury suites, bleachers and SRO. There is not a bad seat to be had. We love that the Shea Stadium favorite, the ascending Big Apple - new and improved - which does a turn for every Mets home run. The Field is oriented in NW direction so no shadows, save one light structure, covering the playing field during a day game. Located at one end of Flushing Meadows park, Citi Field is an exceptional improvement to this long popular “green space,” in Queens, NY.
Naturally, Nathan’s hot dogs are required being NYC; wash it down with a Blue Point Toasted Lager, a local micro brewery, making big waves in the BigApple.

Citi Field a great successer to Shea

By tullio7 |

Citi Field is a wonderful successor to Shea Stadium home of the Mets and Jets since 1972 Prices are high, but not as high as Yankee Stadium.Sit lines are better. There is a Pepsi Porch for the fans and the "Great Wall of Flushing"" is a nice way to bring the teams old time fans back. Concession are is ok with a great variety of choices.

Great baseball experience!!

By JP-in-MD |

I drove up from New Jersey for a Sunday game and was able to get to the stadium without too much traffic. I had pre-purchased parking on the Mets website, but it would have been easy to purchase at the lot if you arrive early. I had great outfield seats except they were in the sun so the usher allowed me (and everyone else in that section with seats in the sun) to move up a few rows to the shade and fill in empty seats. The view of the game was excellent from all areas of the stadium and there was a bonus view of the NYC skyline from the kids area and the upper levels.

My ticket came with club access, which was really nice on a hot day. Since I arrived very early, I was able to sit in the air-conditioned club and have lunch before the game started. There was a really nice view of NYC from the Foxwoods Club and it had more food options than the main concourse. I would recommend finding seats with club access if you can.

Although I chose to drive, subway access was very convenient so would be an easy way to get there.

Great View from Every Seat

By fictionfire |

I love Citi Field! Every seat has a great view of the field, and the food is awesome. Let's go Mets.

First baseball game

By H-DUFC |

Easy to reach Citi Field from Midtown on the 7 subway train. Takes you right to the stadium. Lots of places to choose to eat and drink before and during the game. We sat in the 4th tier and the view was great. I’m not a baseball fan and this was my first game but it was a great experience that I would do again.

Beautiful Park for the Mets

By Dianne |

What a great improvement over the Mets last park. Take the 7 train from Times Square (7th and 42nd), 5th Avenue, or Central Station to Mets/Willets point Station, get your tickets and enjoy.

Unfriendly Ushers

By mikea168 |

Once again purchased seats at field level and ushers making it impossible for kids to get balls signed. Yelling at kids when players came over. So far Citi field has the worst ushers out of all 17 stadiums I’ve visited.
The park has convenient public transportation and easy access around the park.

An Amazing experience

By LondonLad64 |

First time trip to a baseball game. Subway journey was from Times Square and was easy but very busy. our tickets were on the 5th tier. Good beer and food but the service was slow and the staff were very rude. An Amazing experience, pity the Mets didn't win!

Excellent Stadium

By JDtravel4fun |

We were on a tour of major league ball parks across the country and this stadium is one of the best. The seats angle toward the in field for great viewing everywhere. Great selection of food but a little on the high side… but then this is New York! Nacho’s at the Goya stand is great. The pastrami sandwich at the food stand by section 124 is off the hook. Ask for the extra cut off scraps and they will load up your plate of tasty pastrami. Good beer selection. The large corridors makes it easy to move around the park. The score board was fantastic.

First time to a ball game

By Julianne D |

When visiting America, it is a must to go see either a baseball game or football game, we were lucky that it was baseball season while we were there. We purchased our tickets months before arriving as we wanted good seats, tickets were a little expensive but this was our first baseball game. The stadium itself was a lot bigger than what I thought. There were lots of places to get food and drinks, a souvenir shop and bar's with restaurants which you could only use depending on what ticket you have. We didn't have to wait to get into the stadium, security check was quick and efficient, then it was up in the lift to where we had to go. We arrived early so we had a time to see what was what. The attendants were very friendly and took us to our seats. We had great views, bedhind the opposing teams area. It was a good day out and I recommend going if your there at the right time.

Love this place

Always a friendly wholesome atmosphere. Greta for everyone of all ages. The food is great and the team keeps this place hopping. Been to many stadiums, this is the best.

Awesome Stadium Design

By GeoffChing88 |

Very impressed with Citi Field, superb fan experiences! Had a chance to check out Porsche, Foxwoods, and Delta Clubs.
Porsche Club offers buffet ($40 additional) with bird's-eye view.
Delta Club has a nice Sports Bar Feel with seats right behind home plate.
Foxwoods Club has walk-up order and open seating, but feels a bit separated from the stadium experience.
I think the designers nailed it realizing that a variety of fans desire a variety of experiences.

Tough place with child with dairy allergies

By M R |

The absolute worst with a person who has dairy allergies. Either workers don’t have a clue about ingredients or all their food—-even hot dogs and popcorn has butter —or that was what we were told. So frustrating to an adult who is trying to find something for her child

Excellent Stadium Tour

By Phil M |

Amazingly, we found ourselves in New York for four nights, in the baseball season, with both teams on the road in California so we had to settle for a tour of Citi Field for our baseball fix. We had booked but arrived late due to problems on the Metro but the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and simply moved us on to the next tour. We thoroughly enjoyed what was an interesting look behind the scenes and I even got to make a call to the bullpen.

A NYC Fave!

This is one of my favorite places in NYC. I have been here numerous times for concerts, shows and sports events; especially the US Opens. I have lovely memorable of this stadium. It is a New York Fave.

Let's Go Mets! ⚾🧢

By The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳 |

I am a lifelong fan of the New York Mets. So was my dad and grandfather. Our family has had so many wonderful memories at the old Shea Stadium.

There are so many different eateries in this massive ballpark! There's really something for every palate. At this game, I did not eat but many people were getting Shake Shack. I had a few Budweisers during the game. The gentleman selling them was incredibly nice and remembered our seats. The seats were incredible on the field level. The third baseline is my favorite area to sit. It is my favorite view at a baseball game.

Citi Field is my favorite ballpark. It was designed to create a perfect baseball experience.

Brilliant

Went to watch Met baseball game. Great arena. Well equipped. Clean. Toilets spot on. Staff really helpful too. Thank you.

BTS concert

By Chalita J |

Went here on 10-6-18 for a BTS concert. I have a few things to say. The Citi Field staff were really nice. But the GA line could have been a bit more organized because it took me literally over two hours before I could even got in. The security that was hired for the event was rude. I understand that they needed to be firm but the way they talked to a lot of people who did nothing wrong was so uncalled for. Also, trying to catch a ride back to our hotel was a nightmare. They said to use stadium parking to get an Uber but when we went there, there was no designated area for an Uber pick up. Every time we asked someone, they kept saying they don’t know. My group had to walk about a mile up the road just to catch an Uber, mind you this was at 11:30 at night in Queens. Anyway, I just hope it’ll be more organized the next time they have a concert there.

Homerun From This Braves Fan

By Mandy W |

We visit as many ballparks on our vacations as possible. Fortunately our flight landed in time for us to catch the Mets, and my beloved Braves. Citi Field, the staff, the fans, the entire experience was top notch. We had so much fun, and it felt the energy and love for the team the moment you walked in. I would absolutely go to another Mets game...Braves or not.

One of best MLB stadiums out there!

By Bryant R |

Biased as a NYer but this is one of the most fun stadiums in the country. Not a Mets fan but have nothing but admiration for the fanbase. Citifield is often voted as the stadium w the best food and that is still the case. This yr has a lot of fun rotating options in Taste of Queens. There are a lot of great local options. Believe it or not, the sushi (I know, in a ballpark) is delicious. We also got our first look at the Piazza Club (available to folks w 300 level tickets). Nice little oasis of calm in a bustling stadium. If you’re a ball fan or just curious about a fundamental part of NYC, swing by Queens for a visit!

"Crummy" and "sketchy" neighborhood? Not quite

By Jack G |

My wife and I have been going to Mets games for several years. We stay in Corona, the community where Citi Field is located. Are there a lot of WASPs (which I guess you can categorize we are) residing there? No, large population of Hispanics and Asians. We've walked to and from the Park Side Restaurant at night. These are family neighborhoods, and we've always felt safe and never threatened. We are respectful and are treated likewise. Don't know where the "crummy" and sketchy" analogies came from by the one writer, but we haven't experienced it. Like any other urban area, I'm sure there are streets one wouldn't walked down alone at 3:00AM. We've had positive experiences in the community.

Nice park, typical New Yorkers.

By Flying_Donkeys |

Very nice stadium with plenty of very good food options. Sadly we had the stereotypical loudmouth New Yorkers behind us jabbering about Fning this chick and, their Fning workout routine. Every 6th word was an F bomb and they even threw in the C word for good measure. The stadium advertises a nice family environment, but clearly don’t follow up on that, since the vendors were getting a kick out of the guy screaming “I need another Fning beer” at them. We left in the 5th inning. To bad, was a great night for baseball that was ruined by those knuckleheads. Also, no privacy dividers between the urinals. So if you are really lucky you can have a wonderful conversation with a super drunk dude while you are peeing. Extra bonus!

Mets is always a good time!

By Angela R |

Citifield and the Mets truly know how to create a fantastic experience! We had a blast at the July 2 game, which is no surprise since every visit is a good time. The atmosphere is electric, and the fans really know how to rally behind the team.

And let’s talk about the food! Those spicy sausages with peppers are a must-try – so delicious! Sure, it can be a bit pricey, but it’s definitely what you’d expect at a ballpark. All in all, it’s always a great time at Citifield, and I can’t wait for the next game!

Quality MLB park

By dlivin0601 |

Easy to get to by public transportation. IRT 7 line Hudson yards to Willets Point Citi Park station. Thirty minutes from NYC. Long Island Railroad Port Washington line to Citi Park station. MTA bus 48 from Main Street Flushing.
Ball park has various times to open the gates. All gates open one hour prior to game time.
Best ticket value 300 section. Nice lounges open to fans seated in the 300 sections.
Great variety of foods from numerous vendors. New York Pastrami on Rye is sold from a dedicated vendor. Two sit down restaurants located outside the ticketed area of the park. Open before and after games. Ball park location is great for those who are adventurous and like Chinese or other Asian foods. Flushing is one subway stop away. It is within 20 minute walking distance.

Go to the Ball Game!

By BadgeyBoy |

We’re not huge Baseball fans, but wanted to experience a ball game, culture etc…. On our family of 4 holiday in NYC. We were not disappointed, Citi Field & the Mets were great.

Firstly it’s easy & cheap to get to via the Subway from Midtown & Baseball tickets are not overly expensive, with lots of options dependent on where you want to sit. If you are not sun worshippers, get tickets in the shade (Google it). The stadium is on the flight path, so a delight to watch the planes between pitches.

The stadium is great, modern & safe, we had great interactions with real fans. Lots & lots of catering & beverage options, it’s not cheap but embrace it. Plus lots of merchandise shops.

Check the bag policy ahead of going (backpacks not allowed) & take ID as you will be carded if buying alcohol. Evening game was great, as you could watch the sun set.

We loved it, family of 4 (teenage daughters) 3 of whom had never watched Baseball before. Do it!

Good ballpark

By Shane W |

Good ballpark, but most seats in the sun for a day game. Walked the whole stadium and didn’t seem to be a bad seat anywhere. Pastrami sandwiches were great. Beer was cold.
