A beautiful shopping center right downtown Salt Lake City. Great space with a lot of character. Has a nice assortment of stores and places to eat. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the waterfall or people watching. The transit stops right in the middle of it. Another must if you are in Salt Lake City.

City Creek is an architectural marvel. It has to be to join in with the other marvelous architecture surrounding it in downtown Salt Lake City! The use of water, and rocks and plants in the outdoor portions is very eye pleasing and appealing. The variety of venues for both eating and shopping seems amazing--especially because they appeal across the monetary spectrum. There is something for everybody regardless of how much money you can spend.

You can enjoy City Creek regardless of the weather as well. You can stay mostly protected from snowy cold outside and in baking hot weather the rocky streams give the illusion of coolness. The views of surrounding downtown are quite nice from the sky bridge crossing from the Eastern section to the Western side of Main Street.

Pretty cool mall! Good shops, although not a ton. Feels like you are outside when you are inside with the river and pond running through it. Would be awesome in the summer when the big doors are open creating a big breezeway. Tons of activewear shops

By Julissa426 |

The environment here was beautiful. There was plenty of shopping and food. Also the place was laid out nicely, including a skybridge over the street that gave a fantastic view of the mountains and many water features, one of which puts on a display at the top of each hour where water and fire both dance to music. Enjoyed it!

I'm not sure why anyone would have created this huge downtown mall, and I don't see many people with shopping bags in their hands. Few people seem to actually shop here, but it has other interesting things going on. The Apple Store give classes, and fountains a fun to watch. But frankly, The Gateway down the street appeared to have many many more paying customers with very similar amenities. City Creek took care of that and the Gateway is no more. Now there is this huge mall with very few customers. Oh well, I don't pay for any of it, but is a curious place. I don't live in SLC, but I do enjoy going there when I am in town as I love the Apple Store! I also enjoy a couple of their sit-down restaurants.
All in all, it is close to where I stay downtown and is a nice break from the meetings that I attend when I'm there.

Beautiful place to shop and a great place to eat! I love the waterfalls and rock features! The only bad thing is the large amount of homeless people! They have security guards, so that helps me feel pretty safe, but it is still unsettling.

The City Creek Center has become a routine place to visit in the city. Whether you are big on shopping or just want to stroll around and enjoy some of downtown Salt Lake, it is the ideal fit. You can come anytime during the year as the ceilings retract for good weather giving you both the outdoor and indoor shopping experience. It can be romantic when you out on a date and want to go for a walk or shop before or after dinner (parking validation is always nice). It is also a fun place to take the kids to see the dancing waters and fountains, or by visiting the fun stores like the Disney Store. It is pretty central to a lot of dinning, but also has many within the center. Going in December is a great way to see the Christmas lights of Temple Square, and in the summer, it is a great place to cool off from the heat. Our whole family's yet to be disappointed. We love it and certain you will too!

There were a lot of restaurants and good bars to go to. We ate at beer hive and the food was okay. Then we went to the green pig and each had a drink and the dj was playing some interesting club music that I liked.

By Derek D |

This is a nice mall. Retractable roof for the seasons, ample parking first hour is free ypthen you pay but parking fees are reasonable.

By Cauleen H |

Sure, the grounds and building itself are beautiful, but it is a mall for rich people with lots of money to blow. If you are middle-class to poor, don't even bother going. The shop owners ignore you and everything is priced WAY too high.

Participated in a workshop with my 17 year old daughter. Our "silversmith" Breezy was a high school junior, younger than my daughter. The workshop was supposed to last for about 3 hours, we were done in less than 1.5 hours because Breezy did most of the work, everyone else was just starting the welding. During the session, Breezy told us what to do but not WHY we were doing it. We had to use something called "flux" but she couldn't tell us what it was and what it did, just that we needed it. Breezy also spent quite a bit of time helping her boyfriend with his group. I was very disappointed. Also, we were never offered the opportunity to stamp our work - we realized this later in the day. Our rings are beautiful, but disappointing because we didn't really make them.

If you do this experience, I recommend asking for an older person to work with you ("older" meaning out of high school!).

This is just another fancy mall, but it did bring in some retailers that had never been in Salt Lake City. I found it rather sterile, but it is more open than the malls it replaced. Wandering around was a good way to kill some time, but I can't see going back here on future visits. If you're in the area, wander through, but don't go out of your way to visit.

By LostInTime |

This is a shopping area. It is very well designed and very clean. It’s pleasant and shady and relaxing. A nice place to walk around.

By trackywebb |

This mall is situated right in the middle of SLC, with a tramline station ideally situated in the middle. There were plenty of stores to choose from. It was covered, but light and airy. There was a pretty stream running through with fish in it.
Pleasant place to visit after our city tour.

By maureenmiles |

This place is really neat. Lots of places to walk to and stores to shop in. It's a good place to go with a friend!

By ChiquiMonster |

I live abroad and when I travel to the U.S. I typically like to get somewhere where I can cram in a little high-end shopping. We were spending the week in Park City and I took a day to go shopping. My understanding is that this is the best mall in Salt Lake City but unfortunately it was disappointing - I think there is actually better boutique style shopping in Park City than in downtown Salt Lake City. The Nordstrom is the high-end anchor and it was probably the most low-end Nordstrom I've been in. And besides Sephora there wasn't much else that really drew me in. My friend and I saw everything of interest between 10:00-1:00 and we were prepared to spend the whole day. Before you go, be sure to look up the list of shops to decide if it's the right place for you. It's a nice facility - attractive, clean, safe, empty. Just keep you expectations in check.

I visited the city creek center in search of some high end clothes and shoes because I couldn't find anything like that in Wyoming which is where my job is for now. So I drove 3 hours to visit and I didn't find everything I was looking for but it was still worth the drive. Very scenic and clean. They do have a good selection of stores and some high end items at Nordstrom. When I did find the parking garage it was pretty easy to find a spot. The first 2 hours are free so that was good. They have escalators all over the place to get you from level to level. There is good restaurants here as well not just food court places but also a Brazilian steak house. Overall this was a good place to shop around at. There are many other things surrounding this mall as well.

By lcampbell7 |

Love this mall..The area is so pretty I wish we had one like this at home!! Lots of stores to choose from and nice to walk around!!

By Tony A |

The place to shop and hang out if you're in downtown Salt Lake City. A mix of typical upscale mall type shops with a foodcourt and a few individual restaurants. Also has an expandable roof based on the weather.

By Grant S |

From the very beginning I liked City Creek Center. It took a while for me to sort through why: Not only do they have high quality shops but also the space is very inviting and restful. A stream just outside the Apple Store?!! 👌🏼. Water features near Nordstrom 😊. But I never realized the power of this space until I started to sit in various places and do a mini time-out in the midst of shopping. Shopping can at times be confusing for me. The sit helps me restore my balance.

By Jotum |

This is an open air centered mall covering a couple blocks. It has a food court, many regular restaurants and lots and lots of shops ranging from the upscale to more simple shops. It is a popular place to eat, shop, or just hang out. It is conveniently located right next to Temple Square.

By DRJ469 |

Great selection of stores - some high end, some trendy. Atmosphere is amazing- beautiful setting- relaxing place to hang out. I visit often.

By Ccari01 |

We came across the City Creek Mall while walking around Temple Square. It was a big beautiful shopping center with stores that can match any high end mall.We were looking for souvenirs/merchandise unique to Utah or Salt Lake City.We found Everything Utah and Albion. I bought two pairs of earrings at Everything Utah.I left one of my own earrings and did not realize I left it at the store until we were back at our hotel. The lovely lady at Everything Utah had it ready for me when I went back the next day. My daughter bought active wear at Alboin, which is SLC-based and LuluLemon.Parking was free for the first 2 hours.

By Kimitaka Sho |

A shopping mall in the heart of Salt Lake City. Unlike the suburban malls, it's not that big, but the open-air arcades, designed for daylight, are beautiful, and it's fun just to wander wind shopping. There is also a playful stream running through the area.

By Danny L |

High End shopping! Porsche, norstoms, godiva, allen edmonds, restoration hardware, great food court! Kids play place!

By ParisNakitaKejser |

Really nice shopping center, it is easy to get the time to walk in there, you can quickly smoke a lot of money since there is so
A lot you will buy if you are shopping :)

Nice decoration around the center which you can enjoy to look at :)

By Davina J |

If you have visited Temple Square, City Creek Center is just across the road. It is mainly covered in with an atrium-like roof which makes it very light and pleasant to walk through. It is also warm which was much appreciated on a cold day. There are two levels with escalators and lifts operating at both ends. A small stream flows through the centre with a waterfall on the outside at one end. There are a variety of shops with an entrance to Macy's. If you need to eat quickly and want to please the whole family, the Food Court, located outside, is a good place with a variety of well known outlets. Alternatively there are some restaurants within the shopping mall.

By AJG35 |

Quite an extensive range of shops in this downtown area. Large food court area. Well designed indoor and outdoor areas. Certainly worth a visit.

By Patty M |

Views of the mountains, cool fountains, lots of stores and restaurants. Beautifully landscaped. Closed on Sundays

By Simone |

We always love stopping in at this mall. So very lovely. It brings nature & shopping in the same location. Much variety, both stores & food. Lots of seating. Was very relaxing being here.

By Tony d |

This is a world class mall. There is a Creek running through the mall, a waterfall and a roof that closes, which is a blessing in bad weather. Premium stores, well maintained, great location, a definite value add to down town salt lake.

By paws0810 |

We currently are hanging out and having lunch in the area. This is our second time here in a few years. Went to Temple Square had lunch and subway everything is delightful clean and wonderful

By today1111 |

Not worth going unless you like upscale shopping. You have to pay for street parking. We parked at underground parking. We were there maybe 1hr and we didn't have to pay. We did get ticket near the stairs and scanned it on the way out. It was about 3 pm.

By interviewtraveler |

City Creek is a beautiful outdoor shopping area in downtown. There is a nice mix of stores, including some upscale ones. It is fun to walk through and see all the aesthetics in play. The water features are especially neat. Of note for those with cars, there is 2 hours of free parking in the parking garage underneath, and you can get a 3rd hour free with validation from certain restaurants. Pretty cool!

By Nurunesa |

On my recent trip to Salt Lake City I visited City Creek Center which was in walking distance from my hotel ( Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown Salt Lake City). The mall had lots to offer .. awesome variety of stores, big food court as well as other sit down food establishments. Great location too - right across from Temple Square.

By TrickTrackBully |

Rather expensive but has a great architecture which is worth seeing. Nordstrom and Macy's are there. Also Salomon, if you need some good hiking boots.

By Hisham Bafakih |

This center, is responsible for bringing back LIFE to downtown Salt Lake City. For a long time, Crossroads Plaza and ZCMI centers were both just simply DEAD. These two shopping centers took place at what is known as CITY CREEK now. They were the two main centers there. And that whole area was totally outdated and expired. City Creek is really nice. Tons of shops. Tons of restaurants. From your normal food court type of food to actual fine dining. There's plenty of parking. Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Location is key here because you can walk around the area and check out a lot of other things. It's close to many other main landmarks and attractions to both residents and visitors from out of town. There is also a nice gym for all you fitness fanatics. So it has just about anything you need from a shopping mall EXCEPT a movie theater. And the other main thing that I don't like, is that it is CLOSED ON SUNDAY. That just seriously sucks. Many people work during the week so they can do things with their family etc on weekends. And you have a whole center closed on their day off? Wish they would have it open everyday of the week. Other than that, great place.

By Scott K |

Another review said there were shops for all budgets but I didn't find that. Very pricy and same ole stores. The water fountain was cool, but other than that nothing to write home about.

By Debbie W |

This is a beautiful addition to downtown Salt Lake, may different stores to pick from, in the summer the dome can be pulled back to enjoy the weather and sunlight. Water and nice pathways with fountains. Lot's of restaurants to choose from, park in the bottom for two hours free, not sure if this is everyday or not. Drawback.... Not open on Sunday!

By pdge2501 |

This shopping center is definitely worth a visit, ideal when the weather is bad, there are so many great shops that invite you to linger. There are countless delicacies in a large footcourt, a beautiful garden with a small waterfall and the parking garage is very cheap.

By bukagirl |

What a design it harmonizes with the area.
Love the fountains and streams.
Nice stores and cafes a great area to hang out and shop.

By Sam B |

Convenient and free underground parking available. Spacious walkways with beautiful stream flowing through. Many great shops and several good restaurant options.

By Magali M |

I like the food, and the stores are awesome! It has a Macey's which is even better that's my favorite store.

By LAW64 |

Pleasant shopping mall. Good food court. Macy's is located in a beautiful historical building so it is a shame that it has gone downhill as a department store. Very near Temple Square. Tram stops outside it.

By Bel H |

It was nice to walk around here. It's quite a pretty place but not cheap. We were lucky to get some good shoes at Salomon and a Ray ban at Nordstrom (which was cheaper than the sunglasses shop there).
I'm not sure why there weren't many people walking around but it was nice to not be out in the cold.
There is also a good food court to have a rest after walking around a lot.

By Sharimc68 |

I grew up going to a mall that use to stand on this property and this new outdoor/indoor mall is awesome. It is some much more family friendly. The water show is great. Sit and have lunch next to a waterfall. All kinds of stores to shop.

By lovesballet |

Built in 2012, City creek with its trout stream running through the middle is a fun place to meander and shop or people watch. Many restaurants anchor the center (Brio, Cheescake factory ) and lots more on the outskirts to choose from. If you stop at the Customer Service desk and tell them you are from out of town you receive a small "passport" size book of coupons- most are not very practical but the food ones are great. At 7pm for about 5minutes at the Nordstrom side there is a fountain and light show that is neat to watch. The ceiling closes in the evenings but is open air during the day. A fun place to spend a few hours.

By FLGrams |

We stopped by the City Creek Center in the evenings to relax and unwind at the end of the days og seeing the sights of SLC. The fountains are programmed to music and are so pleasing to watch. During the day they are preformed on the hour. The best show is around 9:00 and incorporates water and fire. Don't miss this!

By Bruce H |

This downtown Salt Lake City mall is centrally located and has many great stores like Nordstrom's and Utah Woolen Mills. There is an extensive underground parking area, which is the best way to find parking when visiting downtown restaurants and the various Mormon sites located nearby.

By HoleySneakers |

If you're looking for a scenic, unusual shopping mall experience that is still practical and family friendly, this is a great choice. It's an outdoor mall in the heart of downtown Salt Lake with a retractable cover to help deal with inclement weather. The architecture incorporates pretty and relaxing outdoor spaces, centered literally around City Creek, which runs through the middle of the mall's "canyon" of buildings. There are some interesting shops to appeal to a variety of tastes.

By flight000 |

Wow, this place is great, huge, indoor areas that feel like your outside, air conditioned, a creek that runs through it and tons to see. Even if just killing time and strolling our actually shopping, this place is great.

By Sherri S |

Very classy and beautiful mall. Right in the heart of downtown and near other attractions. Great place for shopping or to grab a bite to eat.

By Gailybird |

The developer did the job right! There are old renovated downtown buildings connected with several levels of walkways across 2 streets. The creek menders through it and there are many outdoor areas to enjoy including a fireplace if you do not wish to shop. The stores and restaurants are all of nice quality. Enjoyable time. Even my husband liked it and he hates shopping.

By peterballantine |

City Creek is like most other malls with all the different stores like Nordstrom's kids rack and everything else that you might find in any mall across America. They have a few restaurants at the mall that you can go to eat at. The only trouble is that this mall is closed on Sundays and is basically the main go to place downtown so what's a tourist to do on a Sunday since they can't go here get a bite to eat or just look around which I find very disappointing.

By Enjoy2travel |

A very classy mall with a lot of high end stores. But it's a good place just for walking. At one of the ends is a large food court.

By Troy H |

Lots of stores in an open situation with fountain and very scenic and nice area. Great place for nice pictures and very clean.

By traveladdict3500 |

Nice architecture. Lots of nice shops. Large food court with airconditioning (very important in Salt Lake City where it was extremely hot when we were there). Unfortunately not very close to a Trax Light Rail station (we used the Temple Square station).

By Andrew T |

This is a shopping mall, but just walking from one side to the other looking at all the fountains is a great way to spend a few hours. It is an actual creek that runs through the middle of the mall with lots of fish in there. Are nice days the roof opens up so you can enjoy the sun.

This mall does offer higher end stores to shop at and very few of your regular mall type stores.

By chaslin19 |

We visit SLC periodically to do genealogy at the Family History Library and are very impressed with the City Creek Center. It is a huge mall complex with two anchor stores, Nordstrom and Macys and a plethora of small retail stores. It actually has a small creek running down the center! It is open until 9 every night, BUT, because it is mormon owned, it is closed on Sunday! The center also includes some good restaurants and a large food court, but the restaurants also have outside entrances so they can be accessed seven days a week. It also has plenty of parking.

By Judy T |

What a wonderful surprise to see high end businesses (Tiffanys, Nordstrom...) across the street from Temple Square! This shopping area is one of a kind-it has a retractable roof and a man made stream with live trout! This is a great place for shopping, but also a wonderful place for families with children as the stream and bridges are easy to keep an eye on little ones. We found that the trout are fed at 10am on Saturdays. If you go to the information booth, they will give you some food to feed the fish! We also found that dogs are allowed in the mall!

By Jun L |

A modern shopping complex with a semi outdoor and nature feel. The running stream along the walk and the artistic water fountains are a delightful atmosphere. With popular and local brands that will surely interest visitors of all ages. Parking was free for the first 2 hours which is a winner for visitors in the downtown area. This shopping complex is also adjacent to Temple Square. This is a must visit when in SLC especially during early evening.

By Crystal S |

We were able to spend several hours at this mall, eating whatever each of us wanted, and taking up our time with something for everyone. It was a great way to give everyone in our party something they wanted.

By BigD_CA |

This center lives up to its name with a neat creak running through the middle of it. Part of a major downtown revitalization, they've really done a nice job of creating a place where you can shop and also enjoy you're surroundings. The vendors are varied and have something for everyone.

The kids especially enjoyed the water effects. Some visitors had their kids playing in the water effects, so bring a towel and change of clothes if that is your plan.

The food court was the largest I've ever seen and offers chain food and local options as well. Once complaint about the food court is that there is only one set of bathrooms and while they are very nice, they really should have another set on the opposite side so you don't have to walk all the way to the other side. Lines can be long at lunch, so I don't think it's a great option for a quick lunch, unless you come on a slow weekday. Not all shops validate, so be aware of that if you are parking in the garage structure.

By Olivia W |

I come to this lovely mall almost every time I visit Salt Lake. I love how easy it is to find parking so I can start shopping as soon as I can. I love just walking around and window shopping (which is what I do most of the time when I visit). I usually shop at Papyrus, Express, H&M, and Macy’s when I need something because I do not have these stores back home in my mall. The food options are amazing! The food court is the bomb dot com! They have a great pizza place and Chik-Fil-A. Cheesecake Factory is right around the corner and it is always delicious! When I come down to Salt Lake and I do not have time to visit this lovely mall, it ends up feeling like I never even visited SLC. I truly love this mall!

By Blessed2Bmarried |

We enjoyed strolling this unique property of shops and restaurants. The layout is designed with movement. There is a "creek" flowing down the center and the path goes in and outside as well as up and down levels. LOVED going through Restoration Hardware Showoom and window shopping at Tiffany's. Ended up shopping at The Gap for the grandbabies.

By Tally4Me |

This is a must see mall. I don't usually put the mall on my to see list when I visit cities. However, this one is one of a king. It is so beautiful that I was happy I took the time to visit. Additionally, it had a good variety of stores as well as two major department stores, Nordstrom and Macy's. There is also an Apple store. Dining options are also good from Nordstrom Grill to Cheesecake Factory.

By D0dge51 |

This was a great Mall to visit. It was a mixture of great shops and eating places and it was only opened in 2012. Very clean and tidy, but unfortunately not open on a Sunday, so visit outside of this time. Open till late.

By jgbtravels |

We utilized their parking garage to visit Temple Square. With the first 2 hours free and $2 for each additional hour was a bargain. If you have ever parked your car in NYC or Chicago you know what I’m talking about. Then there’s this amazing mall with a creek that runs through it. It’s attractive plus it’s across the street from Temple Square so what’s not to like?

By sunseedco |

This our second visit to this mall. We ate the most delicious sushi at Mr. Sushi and shopped at Macy's. The price of the sushi was very decent and so were the clothes. You would find good bargains than any other place and most of them are high or decent quality. The mall is beautiful and the landscaping around it is rarely seen anywhere else. There were few homeless people but they did not bother us (if you think this mall has a so-called "problem") you should to Vegas). The only problem we encountered here is 100-degree heat, which is fairly common in SLC on a summer day. In short, we loved the mall and SLC.

By 2000Denise |

I rarely spend vacation time in a mall--I generally assume they have the same stores and selection at home. But thanks to other reviewers, I thought this place sounded really unique and worth a visit. Glad we did. The fountain shows are at 7 and 9pm, and the 9 show has fire, so it is slightly better, but either is fun. Several places to eat, and the cleanest mall I've seen.

By Discover17600930928 |

I spent two days in the Shuttle Track City business car and had the opportunity to see around Temple Square in downtown, but unfortunately I was working outside and couldn't leave a great picture. Outlet shopping is good at Outlets at Traverse Mountain, 30 to 40 minutes from the city centre.

By mrsagf |

An unusually well designed mall but with the usual suspects among chain stores and fast food providers. Not terribly interesting for tourists with alternatives. Department stores nowadays analyze and segment their markets and select inventory accordingly. As a result, this was the most downscale and thinly inventoried Nordstrom I had ever seen. Sorry, but true.

By Mikeyveck |

This is an impressive shopping mall, but still, just a shopping mall. I like the creek they made inside this place and the food court had some interesting options.

By Ken F |

Thisbis a unique and fun filled mall that the whole family would enjoy. It is a great jumping off point as well as a rallying location for other Salt Lake City adventures.

By Azelyn M |

This indoor/outdoor mall is fun if you have some time to kill between activities. Tons of stores (pretty much everything you need) and a large food court. Located across from Temple Square.

By Bre B |

It was great to go and wander around and shop. Nothing special as far as stores, main national stores. Expensive for my taste but not for others. Great little Utah items store there.

By Galina T |

We strolled through this open air mall after a lunch in Nordstrom cafe. There are several musical fountains, an open air fireplace and an artificial creek running through the mall. Did not buy anything there, but it is a good place to relax and find a bite to eat.

By Hillary M |

All the major brands and some specialty store collected in one place. This is an outside center with a great ambiance. It's a good place to stroll around, shop and eat right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Spent a bit too much at Athleta but the service was outstanding. There's also a Nordstrom, Sephora, banana republic, anthropologie, just to name a few (so many more). If you're staying downtown definitely stop in and shop around!!

By TarHeel |

I was staying at the nearby Marriott and one of the clerks referenced that there was an outdoor mall nearby. I had time to kill so I went to explore. Actually, it's outdoor and indoor with some nice high-end stores like Tiffany and Nordstrom. I didn't buy anything (other than lunch at the food court) but I got my steps in and window shopped a little. Nice place to shop for those who can afford it.

By JSeattleLaw |

Wow! I haven’t been to Salt Lake City in about 12 years and this wasn’t there when I was there before. It is absolutely stunning! The stores had great variety. The water feature throughout it is beautiful. The place has a lot of seating if you want to sit down while shopping or eating if you grab some thing from one of the restaurants or food offerings. My office is close and I cannot wait to go back and shop more when I visit.!

By B-and-D13 |

Beautiful shopping center in downtown Salt Lake City. Lots of stores. With a beautiful creek that runs through. I happen to have time so I found a great area to sit outside and eat my lunch. Very clean.

By Rebecca R |

A great area to walk around and shop. There are plenty of options, and easy to find parking around the area.

By margusta2016 |

We took or children to City Creek for the afternoon. We loved the layout of the mall. The creek and fish and the outdoor feeling with the glass ceilings. I’m sure it’s fantastic in the summer when it’s more opened up! There are a great selection of stores and the food court has many places to eat. We are the Cheesecake Factory and very much enjoyed that. The parking is right there and very affordable and parking validations are available at many stores.

By Rick-Rozzi |

Came up from Texas to run the local Cottonwood Marathon. After the Race we spent some time downtown doing some site seeing. Wanted to a little shopping and this mall is located right downtown. Parking was easy to find on a Saturday. Most of the usual store are located at the mall, so you won't find anything specific to Salt Lake City there, but if you are a shopper, this is a pretty good semi outdoor mall

By Allison L |

LOVE this mall! Lots of security, and the stores were AWESOME! Something for everyone. We visited and Christmas and the decorations were just beautiful! Also a really great show at the center fountain in front of Nordstrom at 7pm and 9pm.

By Morella |

I visited this place after having been at The Gateway, and I loved it. We were in the middle of a heat wave and this pace has retractable roofs that were closed allowing for the well received air conditioning to flow.

The shopping are is distributed in four main areas as far as I could see. Imagine four "concourses" connected by outdoor/open square areas where you will find gardens and places to sit. All the concourses have a small river with fish and waterfalls.

You will find the usual good stores (Macy's, Nordstom, Ann Taylor, Apple, Banana Republic, etc), as well as restaurants. A separate building has a food court with a large seating area and diverse food offerings (McDonald's, Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, etc).

This place provides a very pleasant shopping experience. It is also well guarded, with security personnel all over the place, ready to assist as necessary (we used them!).

By daqattaq |

Check this out. Shop a bit. Eat a bit. Hang out with friends and enjoy life. Tons of stores for just about everyone. fun fountains too.

By Heath D |

Great shopping area in the heart of Salt Lake City by all the Mormon tabernacle and temple buildings. Parking is free for the first 2 hours and there are a ton of shops around. Although we saw plenty of mall security walking around, be forewarned panhandlers are not shy and will try incessantly to get your attention to flat out ask you for cash. Do not give these people cash. You may get followed to your car. Otherwise, the mall is beautiful with streams of water inside as well as waterfalls outside.

By Connie E |

This is a huge multi level indoor and outdoor mall where a creek runs through it. Many water fountains.upscale stores and an upscale food court. Close to the Mormon temple.over 110+ stores. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory.

By davo292 |

We enjoyed our visit to the Creek Centre. It is very large and contains and great range of shops and restaurants. The kids loved all the fountains and of course the creek filled with trout that runs through the centre

By thehippoguy |

This is a really exciting and modern mixed use area to visit. It is very scenic to walk through and easy to navigate. There is a huge, indoor dinosaur themed play area for the kids by the food court that is really nice. There are even good photo opportunities like by the creek or waterfall. There is almost any type of store you could want here.

By efromflint73 |

Maaan, I wish we had a mall like this in Michigan! This mall was sweet! A great combination of inside/outside walking and shopping experience sprinkled natural pieces of natural art beauty with a stream that runs through it! Again, we visited in summer. I wonder what it would look like in winter, but the layout was dope. I recommend going and visiting. In an age where buying online is king, take the family to this mall. There were some cool clothing spots and plenty places to eat.

Water is everywhere and is the unique feature of this beautiful mall, named for the creek that runs through it. Large and smaller rocks on each side make crossing the stream difficult. Loved it...though I didn't see any fish. Also, the main fountain has music that programs through its cycle and kept me and kids fascinated. A long raised rectangular pool moves curved streams of water along the side. Nothing happens continuously other than the creek, so when fountains start they attract your attention. Wide walkways provide a sense of spaciousness between the buildings on the ground level. A lovely clear stone-filled pool is fed by a small waterfall reminding me more of a mill than a mall, minus the waterwheel. Seating areas, trees and green foliage lend to rest and relaxation. Yes, there are many stores, but nothing I haven't seen elsewhere in upscale malls. The water was the attraction for me, but if I were shopping, this would be a pleasant place to be.

This large shopping center is located in downtown Salt Lake City, very close to the Salt Palace Convention Center. It’s an indoor/outdoor environment with a retractable roof. There is a creek running through it and other pretty water features. I was happy to see several people walking their dogs there. There are poop baggy dispensers for pet owners’ convenience.

There’s a good mix of different types of stores and food options. The food court has enough variety that any group of people could find something for everyone. I did notice the food court wasn’t as clean as it could be, however. Several tables needed to be wiped down and there was a beer can left in a corner.

The City Creek Center in Salt Lake City is a very centrally located, mostly indoor shopping mall with relatively exclusive shops. There is also a big food court. The atmosphere is upscale, nicely decorated if perhaps a bit artificial.

By ERFSU82 |

This is one of the most unique and enjoyable malls I've seen anywhere. With a creek running through the middle and fountains and waterfalls all over, it brings the outdoors indoors, making for a very pleasant place to spend time. Whether you're shopping, dining, or just strolling around, this is a great place to do it.

By Tonymcgrath |

Beautiful lean and safe mall partially outdoors. Love it. Food court has a good selection - good range of shops. Some high quality department shopping.

By turbotrevor |

This is a fancy mall with things like Michael Kors and Kendra Scott. A lot of it is very expensive, but it's a cool place for a walk. It has an interesting indoor/outdoor design.

By LancPAmom |

I like the way this shopping center integrates into the surrounding city and has elevated walkways to avoid traffic. There are lots of different stores and food choices.

By UFPAGator |

Went here to kill time while waiting for my red eye flight after a week of skiing. Perfect place to hang out. Loved the people watching and the fountains at night are gorgeous. There are tons of shops to window shop or to just browse.

By Nick B |

The most beautiful outdoor shopping mall in the United States! Opened in 2012 it has some of the best anchor stores and specialty shops available.

By Stomper81 |

Went to City Creek Center today with the family to do a little walking around and shopping. Had lunch at the eatery. They're plenty of shops to choose from. Good place to just hang out. Only negative thing is the pan handlers.

By Utah-Indy |

Just across from Temple Square, City Creek Center is an upscale shopping center with open air sitting areas, a fountain with a show! And some eateries. I enjoy the atmosphere and know you will too.

By Lov2travelz |

Came to SLC for a conference and stopped in here a few times to do some shopping and eat at the food court. This mall is beautiful! There is a small creek inside with fish and the design is just gorgeous. There is a lovely fountain where you can just sit and watch the water show. Loved it, a must see if you are in SLC.

By LiketoeatCincinnati |

This is a full service mall with stores like Nordstrom and Macy’s. There are nice restaurants, as well as a food court. Parking is inexpensive and near tourist attractions.

By CatharinaApple |

I usually avoid the malls during the holidays because of the crowds, but City Creek does a great job with the holiday lights. The bridge provides a beautiful view of Main Street and the holiday lights. I recommend going at night to see the lights. Variety of stores are great, mostly upper scale stores, so bring plenty of money if you plan to shop. Otherwise enjoy some window shopping, scenery and people watching.

By Owlincallington |

City Creek Centre is an amazing shopping mall, beautiful architecture and stunning water features throughout. You could spend hours here shopping or sit and people watch. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants.
We visited in June and it was a warm day, It was lovely entering air conditioned shops to cool down.

By reno1024 |

We had some time to kill, so we spent a couple hours browsing in the CC Center. There is underground parking--the first two hours are free. The landscaping with a small waterfall, pseudo-creek, fountains is visually pleasing. Large selections of places to eat. Seating available outside.

It's so nice! A great place to walk around and enjoy the nice weather. Good shopping and some nice seating areas. Good for groups

First time in Utah and we stayed downtown SLC. After a soccer game, my son and I went to this place and we absolutely loved. It's such a cool spot to hang out at as well as shop. Definitely different from where we live and we enjoyed it. I loved the set up and how much there is to explore. The views are great too and fun spots to take pictures. We went in the evening time and seeing all the lights, decorations, getting ready for the holidays was really pretty.

By Cassie0801 |

Beautiful mall with lots of high end shopping options. Went here 3 times on my visit. Michael Kors store was great. and they have a Tiffanys :O

By Iluvlabbies |

We strolled through the mall after dinner. Lots of fountains and open sitting areas. Anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's.

By Benjamin R |

This excellent design for a shopping center has incorporated the stream of City Creak right the way through it. There is a central atrium feature that can open to the elements, or close for bad weather, that actually allows the river to course through the building. I loved walking alongside, and above on the upper level, where there are shops and businesses, a food court with several eateries, and an overall pleasant exercise with delightful, inspiring vistas, all right in the middle of a downtown area. This is a marvelous place, well though through, beautifully landscaped, and maintained to be a pleasant experience throughout the year. I loved my springtime walk along the stream, and the many places to window shop along the way.

By bst3v3ns |

I always enjoy city creek, it is a very neat intermixing of nature and urban. It makes my 7 yo daughter ask interesting environmental questions. We don't have anything like this in our home town and it pleases me to see her mind being stimulated. I think it is less an experience about shopping and more about the feel of place that we enjoy. Though the Disney store and the Cheesecake Factory are both big hits with the family!

By V4044AXstephaniel |

We enjoy walking around City Creek. There are plenty of shops to visit and food to eat. The area is well maintained and beautiful all year long. The views are pretty of the city and the LDS temple. There's plenty of parking too! We have many great date nights at City Creek and the surrounding area.

By sousoucat |

We spent couple of hours there. Nice shops and good restaurent. Looks a bit European. Parking is free first 2 hrs, then $2 per hour after. You can park, enjoy shopping and visit the temples. All walking distance.

By Stephanie L |

Lost my wallet with my parking ticket. The parking office staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful when I explained the situation. I was only there 30 min so parking should have been free but since I lost the ticket and couldn’t pay they said they would have to give me a citation for failure to pay. Beware shoppers. The parking office staff there will treat you poorly if you lose your parking ticket.

Don't leave Salt Lake City without wandering through this wonderful combination mall-garden-kinetic water fountain and installations, sculptures The running through creek with fish is marvelous.

By midwaytoheaven |

We strolled thru here while visiting Temple Square across the street. There are many brand named shops in the City creek complex along with office buildings and apartments. The walkways throughout the complex have a small "creek" running thru them. Between the east and west sides are joined by a sky bridge.

BOTTOM LINE: The food court for the mall is located on the eastern part of the complex. All the big guys are there including Chick-fil-A, Subway, Jimmy Johns, McDonalds, Sbarros and many many more. Something for everyone here. The creek streams were not running on the day that we were here. The shops here too high end for my tastes. MY OVERALL RATING: 7/10

By Vanessa |

Walked here from our hotel. Is a pretty big shopping centre with high end and normal stores as well as restaurants in this partly uncovered mall. Tram stop right outside and across from Temple Square. Well worth a look around.

By backpacker31 |

Beautiful mall in the heart of downtown SLC. The glass atrium overhead brings in tons of natural light. This, combined with the ground floor river watercourse gives the illusion that you are actually outside. An overhead walkway (glass enclosed) links both sides of the mall. The shops here feature many high end international brands. Whether you come here to shop or just walk around in a natural environment (especially on a cold winter day), I recommend a visit to City Creek Center.

By Jason G |

Certainly is a nice mall in a convenient location. Good variety of stores, although not too many of them are overly unique that can't be found in other cities. In terms of tourism, it's worth a quick peek since it's so close to Temple Square, but unless you're a shopaholic, you probably don't need to spend too much time here.

By Busy T |

A lot of high end shops, but there are also quite a few restaurants and a good food court. The inside ground floor of the Center has a lovely stream going through it with trout freely swimming.

By Gill W |

This indoor shopping mall has all the usual stores but the experience is all the better for the cleanliness of the mall inside and the wide choice of eateries in the food hall. We tried Red Iguana Mexican take away which was just incredible for both flavour and portion size. I reckoned the veggie fajitas. The fountains in the centre are great to watch and the fish in the little streams by the walkways are entertaining for little ones. We spent the best part of a day shopping here and there's always something of interest to see. Well worth a visit.

By gil j |

Beautiful mall. A must see across the street from the Mormon temple. The Salt Lake City souvenir shop has a wide variety at great prices. Nice little side adventure.

By Emilie M |

Love it here, one of my favorite shopping malls to go to and shop. A lot of fast food options and a lot of different stores, love how it's outdoors and you can walk and enjoy the outside. Very clean and friendly place. Escalators and elevators for your convenience. It's right in the middle of beautiful downtown salt lake. I go here all the time. Also like how there is the Trax train station right across the street from it.

By Naoko G |

Underground parking is free for two hours. If you get lost like we did, ask the people at the exit - the gentleman I asked where section D was gave me a ride in the cart back to my car, instead of just pointing me to the direction, which we appreciated very much.

By Ana R |

I certainly loved to shop here! They have great places for buying whatever you need or just want! Also, it good food, lots of great spots - I went to the cheese cake factory and then enjoyed coffee at a coffe shop (i don't recall the name but it was awesome as everything else!)

By Carey S |

We parked under the center, as my daughter and I wanted to visit the Temple Square before heading into the mall for lunch. The center's parking is free for two hours, which was perfect for our needs. After visiting Temple Square (right across the street from the mall), we had lunch at the food court (Chick-fil-A) and spent about 30 minutes walking around the mall before heading back to the underground parking. Two hours of free parking was perfect!

By Patricia D |

What a bonus when visiting Salt Lake City downtown to find this!!! High end stores but you can enjoy even window browsing!!! If you can come back in the evening as they have fountains with lighting!! Did not buy much as Pennsylvania has no tax on clothing, but enjoyed the browse!!!! Many food choices surrounding the center, so it mAkes it a one stop experience!

By Kona93 |

Very clean, indoor/outdoor setting. For me, it's still just a Mall. High end stores abound. Nice views of the city from second floor. If shopping is your thing, you'll enjoy your visit.

By Dr_MikeK |

This is a lovely place to walk around the watch the trout in the brook with upmarket shops some good eateries nearby. Best day to go is Saturday.

What an amazing mall! We found everything we needed. Definitely one of my favorite mall when visiting Salt Lake City.

By Dewi R |

The shopping mall is big and can be enjoy in the outdoor. Great in the summer, probably not so much in the winter. Various stores. Great food court too.

By Esperanza S |

I love this mall, very nice, I would add more stores. Very friendly people. Very good location in front of the temple.

By Rana F |

Very beautiful mall located right downtown. Finding the underground parking was a little difficult. If you enjoy shopping, this is a must see!

By Micheal S |

Every year I return for the holidays to shop and observe the wonderful ambience. If your not in the spirit yet, just go visit city creek and you'll leave feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Easy parking , great stores to shop from and a Christmas atmosphere. I recommend a visit. Happy Holidays!

By HaraEmi |

It was all lit up at night with christmas lights and christmas trees!
I love this mall and we were in Salt Lake City Downtown for a concert. The structure of the building is elegant spacious. This is such a clean and beautiful mall!

By Daniel M |

For anyone in Salt Lake City, this is an amazing mall to visit with beautiful architecture and landscape design, and the perfect mixture of outside and inside stores. You can also see a breathtaking view of the mountains between buildings. A must go!

By trophywest |

It's a lovely mall for the ladies. Lots of clothing stores & odds & ends. Mostly mid range to high end. Most of it is indoors which was good for the snowy weather that we were having. Ladies will spend more time here than men.

By Edgar T |

Nice collection of stores. Attractive architecture. City Creek flows through mall. Trout stocked. Visited Apple and Microsoft stores. Ate at The Cheesecake Factory. Plenty of customers and very safe seeming.

By pb412 |

The shopping center is located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City across from Temple Square. There is a great variety of shops and dining options. My family ate at the food court which had a nice selection of choices for our meal. We spent a few hours walking around the complex. It was clean and safe and a nice change from the traditional mall. Parking was convenient in the underground parking lot. The price for parking was very reasonable. The parking garage was very clean and well lit.

By ciooo |

Have your camera charged up you'll want to take a lot of pictures. If you come during noon you may attend a wedding ceremony

By Lisa B |

This a lovely shopping centre in the heart of Salt Lake City. A very popular place on a Saturday. Some high end shops here such as Tiffanys.

By Greg P |

The City Creek Center seems to be avoiding the mall attendance problems experienced at other malls around the country. The mall looks new and well maintained and has a nice variety of stores and a food court. Underground parking is available and the first 2 hours are free, then hours after 2 are only $2 each.

By David C |

This is a pretty decent mall with a good mix of indoor and outdoor space that can be adapted for the weather conditions. It would be great if Abercrombie and Hollister were here.

By WorldTravelers34 |

We walked through this mostly outdoor mall a few times as it was quite close to Little America hotel where we were staying. It is half inside and half outside. City Creek Center has 110 retailers and restaurants, including Nordstrom, Macy’s, Salomon, N3L Optics, Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors, Coach, and Brio Tuscan Grille. This unique shopping environment also features a retractable glass roof, a creek that runs through the property, a pedestrian sky bridge, and three fountains making it very picturesque. There are some great places to eat (outside on level 2), and the mall offers some remarkable views of SLC.

By heathkp1987 |

We discovered City Creek Center while walking from Temple Square back to our hotel. We were drawn in by the fountains on the north end and when we reached the center with the large fountain, we decided to sit in the shade and relax. We did not shop (well...ok...i did pop into Nordstroms!), but we did grab a beverage at Ebar and sat there for close to an hour, people and fountain-watching, while our son played with other kids around the fountain and nearby splash pad. The fountain already changed patterns periodically but @ 5pm, a speaker announced a special fountain show which lasted 5-10 minutes. Beautiful! Great way to relax on a hot summer afternoon.

By Sophie M |

Was looking for somewhere warm to eat and shop but it was closed on Sunday. Lots of people in town for a convention, you would think it would be open but sadly no. I went back on a weekday, it was a nice mall. It is a mix of inside and outside stores and restaurants.

By AeneasAtSea |

City Creek is no doubt the the best mall in Utah as far as appearance and ambiance are concerned. The waterfalls and creek that run down the concourse are gorgeous. And at Christmastime it's decorated in beautiful ways. But it's not really as fun or practical as it could be. That's mostly because it seems to have been intentionally designed to appeal to high-end customers. Last Christmas we remarked on the lack of stores that were just fun or ordinary, and a store employee told us that was because mall owners and managers had not wanted to attract "low-end riff-raff." But whatever the reasons for store choices, it's clear that most visitors couldn't afford to shop in many of the mall stores. And on several occasions we've witnessed store employees in some of the posher establishments being rude and dismissive of visitors who appear less well-healed than others. So, while my family likes visiting the mall, especially for unusual stores like Papyrus and the Al Rounds studio (and for the great Red Iguana Mexican food!), we are bothered by the possibility that it is exclusionary by design. On the other had, of late some stores have been added that are at least more interesting to visit than the likes of Tiffany or T-Mobile. But Fashion Place is still our mall of choice--not least because it has a much better variety of dining choices, fun stores like Lego and Pier 1, free parking, and it's open on Sunday when City Creek is completely closed.

By Wanna Be World Traveler |

The city creek flows thru the mall with fish for the kids to look at. The end doors and ceiling open wide open when the weather is warm. It makes it a fresh outdoor shopping experience. There is a food court for dinner and snacks.

This is one of our go to shopping place.

By Corinna H |

If you need/want to do some shopping in the downtown area this is a good place to hit. It's like most any other outdoor mall. They've made it look pretty that's for sure, but really it's just a shopping area. Being from Canada, I do love the outdoor malls, as we certainly don't have any where I live. But in America that's far from new or exciting I think.

By WallyBB34 |

I enjoy walking this mall because of its convenience and beauty. I am really not a mall person so don't get all excited about all the stores. There are several good restaurants and my favorite men's ware and shoe stores are there.

By jotibarker |

As visitors to SLC, we had been told we must visit City Creek Centre. We weren't disappointed in any way...there are so many stores here...and not the cheap ones either...there is a lovely feel as you walk around...and it was really nice to see families out enjoying not only the shopping but also the environment. We made a few purchases...more luggage to carry home!! ...but couldn't help, ourselves.

By Von1287 |

This is not like a typical mall where we come from in New York. It is basically open air but has glass over the top as you can see out there’s beautiful lighting they have a lot of fountains and trees and leave done a lot of work with the pavement and etchings in the ground. There are a lot of high-end shops and also some normal stores like Macy’s. We did not purchase anything on our trip but we loved walking around the building. There is a really nice bridge in the sky connecting the building across the street and you can see a great view down main street from there. This is a great spot to visit if you have time and they have a lot of food vendors in the food court as well.

By Gabriel002 |

By far the best I have seen in our travels around the USA. The shops and facilities are so well maintained, the water features are beautifully done and the area is pleasant and inviting. We haven't seen anything like this in any other place we have visited throughout the US. It is definitely the gem of downtown SLC.

By Go2theZoo |

This is the premier shopping destination in Salt Lake City with amazing stores and a wide variety of restaurants. It's beautifully landscaped and has a river with fish running through it. There is a fountain that has shows with music every hour. There is something for everyone in terms of shopping. Some shops include Nordstorm, Macy's, Foot Locker, Disney, Tiffany, Gap, LUSH, Anthropologie, Steve Madden, Papyrus, JCrew and H&M. This is also home to the flagship location of Deseret Book, the local book shop chain. There is a great food court with chains such as McDonald's, Chick-fil-a, Sbarro, Subway and local restaurants with Mexican, Greek, Chinese and Japanese food. There are stand alone restaurants like Texas de Brazil, Costa Vida, Kneaders, Johnny Rockets, Brio and The Cheesecake Factory. Parking is free for the first 2 hours and then $2 per hour after that. Only a few restaurants and stores offer parking validations (Cheesecake Factory, Brio, Macys and Nordstrom) but the parking rates are more than reasonable for the area.

By Ken R |

The Nordstrom's was small with limited merchandise based on what we are used to experiencing.

There were many typical stores and we didn't see any surprises.

The delight was their fountain features. While none of them were even remotely in the Bellagio class they were well worth taking the time to appreciate.

By Gary1097 |

City Creek food court offers a bunch of choices that it seems like half the population of SLC is using at lunch. The noise is deafening and some of the food choices are iffy at best but they have McDonalds, Subway, Chik Filet for main stream and then Japanese, Greek, Chinese, Mexican, Italian (Sbarros). The food is better than the atmosphere. Chik Filet and McDonalds seem to be the busiest of the vendors present but they really streamline the experience so you get your food out in record time. There is a childrens play area around the main food court area which younger children seem to really like. There are adequate and clean restroom facilities in this area but if you can avoid this place at noon you may be better off eating somewhere you can hear yourself think.

By Jen T |

Love this shopping mall. Great stores and a fun atmosphere! And of course Santa is the best in his own little lantern house.

By LolaGo1 |

Located across from the Temple Square, this shopping area is very accessible. There are many stores where one can shop for clothes, shoes, luggages, etc. It also has restaurants and a Food Court that serves ethnic dishes. Chick A Fill and MacDonald restaurants also serve foods and drinks here.

Note that there is a creek that runs at the middle of this mall. There are also fountains which young and old folks can enjoy!

By Judy S |

This is not just your usual mall. It has very upscale stores, but the decor is wonderful. There are streams, fountains, and waterfalls throughout. We went on the advise of a friend and were very glad we did. We did not step into any of the stores (too pricey for us), but we did eat a couple of times in the food court. This mall has a retractable roof and we saw it open and closed. It is definitely worth a stop to see.

By EH6695 |

Great shopping center, partly outdoors partly with roof. We were thrilled and didn't expect such a great ECC. If you have time it is definitely worth a visit

City Creek is a wonderful place to go for shopping or to eat. It is located in downtown Salt Lake City across from Temple Square. It is two stories and go over several blocks. There is underground parking. There is a creek that runs through it and glass ceiling that can be retracted during the winter for snow or rain. We enjoyed walking around on a Friday evening. There is large food court and also several restaurants on the bottom level. Nice place to spend a few hours.

By OregonTraveler9999 |

I was told that this mall is recently remodeled. They have high end stores, such as Michael Kors and Tiffany. It is easily accessible on foot or by taking a train. Depending on where you hop on the train, it can be a free ride. Please ask the staff at your hotel.

I had halted at Salt Lake city on way to Las Vegas. Visited the City Creek Mall with family. Found it distinctly different from various other Malls I have visited. It is huge in size. Even a tram station is there inside the Mall😊 Further the concept of a Creek running the Mall adds to a unique experience.

By Culinaristje |

Yep! Doing! All I can say is a beautifully designed shopping centre. You don't just walk through it quickly. Beautifully designed and spacious. I was very impressed!

By jpkgirl |

Beautiful walking spaces connect indoor mall with all the great stores. Nordstrom anchors one end and a delightful fountain is found right next door.

By James W |

Beautifully done mall in the heart of the city reclaimed from older buildings. Great during the summer, but strolls can get very chilly during the winter. Nice collection of stores such as Restoration Hardware that you don't often see at other malls, with giants Macy's and Nordstrom's as anchors. Tons of restaurants both in the mall and surrounding it.

By MsAvIS |

Good selection of goods. Nice atmosphere. Huge dining areas. Lots of tourists. There is a tram stops right in front of this location. Convenient place to eat and shop.

Nice Mall and restaurants downtown SLC. We ate at Kneaders Bakery, who has the best bread & pastries around! They were really busy but processed orders quickly.
I recommend. Also nice stores for retail therapy!!

By Angie L |

My husband wanted to check out the tech stores which there's plenty of. I wanted something yummy so my choices were endless.
My kids played at the splash pad, watched the fish in the streams, and pet so many dogs.
This place really has stores for all walks of people.
There is musical water fountain show that is really cool. It's right next to the kids splash pad which both water movements played to the music.

Coming back to Salt Lake City after 25 years away I was interested in the changes made to this great city. The City Creek Center is the Best Change I have seen here so far. The Architecture is amazing, the Atmosphere is relaxing, The Shopping although high end is well organized. Well worth the Visit.

By Karen C |

This is a beautiful outdoor mall located right in downtown Salt Lake City. Lots of nice stores and a few restaurants (also a food court). We walked around it 2 days, ate at the Cheesecake Factory and also got ice cream at a place in the food court. It wasn't too busy, there are fountains and a little "creek" running through it. Plenty of seating areas. A skywalk goes over main street. Lots of escalators, elevators and washrooms. There is an underground parking garage (free for the first 2 hours, free for another hour with validation from various businesses) or you can find parking on several streets nearby. We never found it hard to find a parking place in Salt Lake City.

By Rhonda G |

I have never been to a mall with a creek running through the center with fish before! This mall also had a retractable glass roof for nice days and was loaded with excellent shops like Tiffany's, J. Jill, Ann Taylor, etc. While there were a few homeless people outside the entrance, once you got inside it was absolutely gorgeous. Great experience!

By romanshorner |

It is a big shopping mall. It was one of the bigger ones on our US-trip. Most brands are represented. Especially good was the relaxing architechture with the water. Car Parking in the basement available. Free parking under special conditions available.

By Kevin W |

We were here in SLC for over a week. Every day we said we would go check out the City Creek Center. Alas, it wasn't until our last evening that we actually got there. It's a beautiful, two story indoor/outdoor shopping center/mall covering 2 city blocks. It has a beautiful skybridge on the 2nd floor connecting the East and West portions of the center.

Parking is extremely easy, and inexpensive (free for the first two hours!). Over 100 stores. They have a very large food court, which includes a Red Iguana (popular local Mexican restaurant). Parts of the center reminded us of the beautiful shopping mall in Milan Italy.

By WXRN |

This is a neat shopping area close to Temple Square. The underground parking lot is reasonably priced. There are many restaurants. The name comes from the man-made creek that runs through the complex. They even have trout. They do not have any coffee shops because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints owns the complex, and they may or may not discourage caffeine use.

By jesse o |

I only had a few minutes because of where I was parked. Zagg electronics on Main Street left a note on their door saying where they’d moved in mall so I zoomed in, didn’t see them, found external hard drive I needed at neighboring Microsoft store, saw Zagg on the way out as well as Cheesecake Factory and Disney Store.
So, reparked and came back! The architecture, town park feel and variety of stores made for pleasurable and efficient shopping.

By Smckslimmy |

If you are in the mood to shop till u drop then check out this location. Two story indoor outdoor mall that is in a convenient location downtown. Parking is underground. First 2 hrs is free then $2 every hour thereafter. Remember your parking area bc it's confusing if you don't.
Stores that we saw were Lulu lemon, fabletics, Disney, anthropologie, free people, Lush, Apple, and the list goes on and on....
We had our baby boys photo with Santa and they have a great display by the food court. Be ready to pay for the photos$$ and no taking any on your phone.
The food court has chik fil a, sbarro, McDonald's, Cheesecake Factory, a couple of Chinese eateries, Mediterranean, Mexican, and cheesesteak eatery.
Must go but they are closed on Sundays.

By WStatesTraveler |

A nice collection of shops in the middle of the beautiful city of Salt Lake City. There is also a large food court and a P-garage. The Center makes it easy to combine a visit to SLC with shopping, having lunch and parking your car.

By Rene S |

THisis a beautiful downtown 'in-city' location with many stores and beautiful walking areas. One of the best around that I've seen. Restaurants and various people watching is a must. This is a greatway to add to your SLC visit and give some of the shoppers and galleria folks something for themselves. Try Brio!

By Richard S |

I am not much of a shopper. With that said, I felt compelled to write a review of this shopping center. What a absolutely unique environment to shop in. If the people in your party want to go shopping, and you are contemplating just staying in the hotel room. Do your self a favor and go out and enjoy the scenery, architecture, and just a truly unique environment. I didn't go into any stores, and still had a great time! Plus, the first two hours of parking is free!

By Samuel R |

I walked in and was greeted by the most friendly staff ever my favourite staff member was definitely Tako he helped with everything I needed

By Wildflower01945 |

This is a beautiful place. The stores are mostly normal mall stores but the bridge and water installations are worth the visit. We sat on the glass bridge for a while and looked at the mountains, the trolley, and the people walking across the bridge. My visit was in March and I was told the bridge is opened to the sky in warmer weather. There is a stream and a large fountain that are also works of art.

If you found this review helpful, please press thank below.

This is an upscale indoor/outdoor shopping and dining complex that spans a few blocks in downtown Salt Lake City. With fountains, waterfalls, and streams, it's a nice and relaxing place to spend some time. There is a large selection of upscale stores and great restaurants. It's especially nice during the Christmas holidays with the whole place decorated and lit up.

By chris c |

So, if you are in downtown Salt Lake City you have two main options for shopping, the older Gateway shopping centre or the new City Creek centre. City creek was refurbished ( excellent job) and reopened a couple of years ago and has now completed filling all of the shops. The selection is good and you can get everything you want , so prepare yourself for a few hours of walking around. The centre does not open on Sunday's however is open till 10 pm on Saturday so if you want to have a look around I would suggest , go to the city creek on the Saturday and gateway on the Sunday and you will have it covered.

High end shopping anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's and built by the LDS in 2012. Nice fountains and spread out over several city blocks. There's a good food court (ample choices) and a Johnny Rocket's and a Cheesecake Factory. Nice stores but very upscale. I could not find a decent drug store. The Vx was closed by 5 Saturday and the Rite Aid on Main Street had lots of troubled people in the store. A couple of caveats- everything is closed on Sunday at City Creek, even the department stores. And along Main street (if you don't take the skywalk connecting the malls), there are many, many homeless people. These aren't your average homeless people who are typically sleeping. Over three days, I witnessed 3 confrontations with mall security or people on the streets. I was approached aggressively by men and women alike who wanted money or "help and many appeared to be addicts or under the influence of something. It was very uncomfortable considering this otherwise nice area. Locals tell me these folks were recently kicked out of Pioneer Park and this is where they landed. Kind of kills the experience. Do stop and see the mall though. Bring your wallet.

This is a great place to stroll or take a break during Salt Palace conferences. We love to shop Macy's, we love good food, we enjoy a beautiful outdoor setting to relax and we found all 3 here! The Asian food restaurant was really good for lunch (sorry forgot the name!)

By mini |

We went to City Creek Center in Salt Lake City. We did some shopping at their stores. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. There is both parking on the street as well as a big underground parking garage.

By Ryu |

After visiting the Temple Square, I went across the street to the City Creek Center opened 2012. All the essential stores like Apple Store, Microsoft Store, and Salomin are there along with the two anchor department stores, Nordstrom and Macy’s. The roofs open when the weather is good. It has got a spacious food court and I had Original Philly at Great Steak. By the way, City Center UTA Trax Station is close to the mall, actually on the Main Street that goes between two mall buildings.

By Helen A |

The variety of shops in City Creek Center may interest some people. We looked for Apple phones and furniture, here. The outdoor walkway is quite pleasant, featuring a lovely extension of City Creek which runs from Memorial Park, through this shopping mall! Kids enjoyed playing with leaves in the creek.

By Olivia Y |

This has to be one of the most beautiful malls I have ever visited-- it has several picturesque indoor and outdoor waterfalls and streams that are absolutely stunning! I visited during the week of Thanksgiving, when everything was decorated for Christmas, which made everything even prettier.

Not only is this place gorgeous, it is quite spacious, with numerous stores and restaurants that include everything from local small businesses to beloved franchises. It is located across the street from Temple Square, so the location couldn't be more convenient for those wanting to explore downtown Salt Lake City!

By Jane E |

Love me some Lululemon! This shopping center is a beautiful outdoor theme with gorgeous water features and splash pads.

By IcePick |

Over the top security. Don't stand in one place too long... Get your shiz and get out with your integrity. Or just stay home and skip the confrontation.

By Karen T |

My hubby and I came here to kill a couple of hours before our flight. This is a huge upscale mall. The grounds are well kept, clean and easy to get around. Since it is in downtown Salt Lake City they have underground parking. The first 2 hours are free. There are a few restaurants plus a fast food, food court. If you are ever in this neck of the woods, I would recommend this place. It is also within walking distance of Temple Square.

By Steveage |

Maybe I'm just turning into an old guy that likes to sit and watch stuff, yes, I am, but this is one GREAT place to do that! I love the fountain, it's huge, it's free. The water is synchronized with music (at times) and there are actual flames mixed with the water shooting up! I just love this place! The rivers running through the entire mall, there are fish swimming around! Who planned this!? The shops are cool, we've bought many an item, Pandora, H&M and others, the prices can be outlandish in some stores, but there are decent deals to be found.

By Jennifer S |

Went looking for some fan sports jerseys. So lovely, clean, air conditioning, & easy access from parking. I was impressed the the parking reminder cards they have for you to take so you remember which floor & section you are on.

By Kathy G |

The Christmas tree, fountains, wreaths and stores are beautiful! Every store you can imagine. Nice indoor and outdoor mixture.

By colleen h |

The mall is very pretty. It was a little hard to navigate but other than that it was great. We ordered grape leaves in the food court and they were fantastic.

By Mathias Kamp |

For a mall, it is extremely beautiful. Has a creek running through it and is easily the nicest outdoor mall I have ever been to. I cannot attest to the quality of the shops, because I just went here to look around.

By tazzrian |

I've visited many malls. Mall of America is just an hour drive from my place. But this mall is not like any other mall you'd see. Not crowded, and spacious! You won't even know that you're strolling in a mall area! Temple Square is also right across the street. You can do meter parking and stroll around for an hour or so.

By TheBuick |

A very pleasant and refreshing shopping experience. There are many stores and eateries; and this mall is so clean and well kept that it doesn't seem real.

There are fountains, a small water fall and trout AND the ceiling rolls open on warm days. Wow!

Stop by the information desk for some pretty cool deals and discounts!!!

Owned and operated by the Mormon church.
This is where their tithing goes. The Mormon church has more money per capita than any other religion.

By worldtraveller872 |

This is definitely one of the nicest shopping malls I have ever been to. It's actually more than a mall, since it's an open air shopping area. Everything is beautiful and there are also some great restaurants including an excellent and great looking food court. There is a great variety of stores. Its nice to go shopping or even just to go for a walk and lunch or dinner. It's also by a TRAX station, which is a light rail system. Nice fountains too.

By paws0810 |

Eat, shop sit and people watch, spend money and enjoy this great clean nice mall. Lots f stores to chose from and a great food court.

By Sam N |

Surprisingly good shops and restaurants. Nice atmosphere and good walking around areas. We liked the art pieces. Couldn't find the dinosaur there but would have liked a little harder if we had more time.

By rockcole |

This is a large outdoor/indoor mall with plenty of places to eat and shop.

If you need a break from touring this is the place

By Rachel M |

First, I love the location of City Creek! It's right by Temple Square, and in the heart of Salt Lake City. I also love that it has very convenient parking for a good price. The customer service is always so helpful and nice. The creeks down the center of the mall are beautiful with several trout in the creeks as well, and although it's indoor, it feels like you are outdoors. Plenty of stores, restaurants, and lots of fun! Hands down favorite mall in Utah.

By kiwi_choccie_11 |

This was an amazing shopping experience. The idyllic stream running through the entire complex and many fountains made it feel very tranquil. Could have spent much more of the day there easily.

By 1Wisetraveller |

The shops at this mall were disappointing - I did not even get good service at Macy's or Nordstrom's - but the food court was great. Lots of variety, good food, and plenty of tables.

By travelc1908 |

Great location across from Temple square, great shops and even better restaurants. What's not to like! This well planned mall is also beautiful to look at with a real flowing creek running both inside and out. This mall is cut up into 3 main sections on 2 floors. I visited when it was blistering cold, so it would have been nice to know that there was an upstairs bridge that connects the 2 main sections so you don't have to walk outside if you don't want to. I take that back, there are several stores and restaurants that are only accessible from the outside, even though they are connected to the mall. Starbucks, H&M and Brio tuscan grille to name a few. There is a large food court on one end, a big Apple store, Macy's and Nordstroms. We walked from our nearby hotel, but there is also underground and valet parking. There is also a train or tram system that runs between the two main sections. One thing to note, like all major cities there are homeless people sitting about outside. Some of them keep a shivering dog with them to pull on your heart strings. A very sad situation when it's freezing outside.

By Ken K |

My wife and I wondered the shops tried on clothes sampled the food court and had a wonderful time at places like Porsche design and Macy's.

The secret is the valet parking by the cheesecake factory. For five dollars you can have your car right there ready to go when you return.

By Annie O |

This is a lovely shopping center in the center of downtown SLC. So close to convention centers and Temple Square. It has lots to offer in every season. You could spend hours and hours visiting lots of shops and lots of variety--tech, clothing, books, toys, shoes, sporting goods, games, jewelry, candy, etc.

And there are lots of great restaurants--high end, fast food, home style, fresh, organic, ethnic, etc.

By travelinjep |

Walked through here to shop and get a bite at the food court where there were lots of choices. Very pleasant on a Saturday afternoon. Nice walking and good shops. Lots of variety for food choices.

By wfs74 |

Besides the many shops, stores, and places to eat, it's worth the visit just to walk through the place. The shopping is on two levels and there are escalators and elevators conveniently located. In good weather the roof collapses for an open air experience. Running through the mall is City Creek complete with fish. There are several levels of parking underneath the mall with elevators and escalators to the main mall level. There are good restaurants plus a food court and a wide variety of stores.

By Auntiemame1946 |

Best way to describe this place is WOW!
It was just beautiful with fountains, all types of shopping-both high end and bargain, lots of food options and places to sit and relax. Part was "open air" and part was enclosed.
Would definitely go back if am ever in SLC again.

By Larry T |

Wow! City Creek Center takes up portions of two blocks connected by a sky bridge over Main Street. The mall is located across the street from Temple Square on one side and the Salt Palace Convention Center on another side. This is Salt Lake City's premier shopping and dining destination. It contains 110 stores and restaurants. Most restaurants offer outside dining. There is a large food court. We ate in the food court on our first night in Salt Lake City. It is a great place to walk through seeing the fountains and statures or just sit on one of the benches and people watch. City Creek (which runs through the mall) gives it its name. The creek runs both indoors and outdoors. It is very attractively landscaped. There are plenty of opportunities for photographs. Be advised that the stores and restaurants are closed on Sunday which was a surprise to us.

By southerncaligirl72 |

We came to Salt lake to visit our son but were hungry after our flight. We were downtown and found this nice mall. Parking lot leads into mall. Lots of stores and inside is beautiful. Very strange layout and quite confusing to navigate. Especially looking for food court. Overall a lovely mall and must see if your downtown. Plus first 2 hours are free in parking structure.

By Yolanda V |

Lovely outdoor shopping center. Nice shops and good eateries. It covers multiple blocks.
It goes over the street further, so just cross the street outside. Varied offer in shops and restaurants.

By Micheal S |

Just like every Holiday Season this place is a great way to get in the spirit. The Christmas lights are perfect and the decorations are wonderful. Great place to get your holiday shopping done. It can get a little crowded during peak hours so try to go early.

By Belinda Eva M |

Great place to shop, eat and spend a little time. Great rest areas... To enjoy the fountains... The good weather always helps.

By nsawyer74 |

Several months ago I went to this location. Service was great, food was ok. However, there was a time when i went in with my friends, we observed a young, white blonde guy who apparently was one of the cooks, made an obscene hand gesture with a purple glove. The middle finger of the glove was inflated and pointed towards a female customer at the entrance of the store. Very childish and unprofessional.

By Nathan D |

I'm not usually a fan of shopping, especially shopping malls but this place is pretty cool. Everything is so clean. It helped that we went during the Christmas holiday and the whole mall was decorated accordingly. Lots of great shops and places to eat. With Temple Square just across the street, you can easily spend the whole day in this area.

By tracycC1699IU |

I was disappointed with the quality and selections at Macy's and Nordstrom's. I've been to them in LA and they fell short here. Good toy store and Van's store. Visited Apple and Microsoft and nice that both are here (husband is a gamer). Most of mall is clean and pretty; LDS church did a great job w/renovations several years back. Not a lot of clothing for plus-sized, almost 50 y.o., gals like mel though. Just sayin'...had $$$ that I did not spend because of that fact. Also, wish security could intervene w/the obviously professional pan-handlers that flank the crosswalk between the 2 lower sections. Very uncomfortable when they jump in your way w/their signs and w/obviously rehearsed speech...or are sitting w/a lot of expensive luggage and chain smoking cigarrettes.

By Ronald B |

This was a surprise and a great spot. We usually do not like food court places, but this seemed to be our best prospect. We gave Bocata a try and loved it . The chicken salad was filling and delicious. The sandwich I had was great, very zingy, tasty. Worth a visit!

By Jollyshandy |

This is a very good shopping mall with many shops and dining options, we were able to get most of our shopping needs in here. The variety, the parking, the whole landscape upkeep is top notch. The cafeteria has many dining options available and it has the variety. We will come back again.

By AdelchiLatina_Italia |

A large shopping center developed in width rather than height.
Lots of shops of all kinds and a Food Court where you can eat a bit of everything.
Convenient direct entrance from our hotel (Marriott City Creek) to the shopping center.

By Emily |

I love the variety of shops and restaurants. My kids love the splash pad and water fountain. They created an amazing atmosphere. I enjoy the outdoor feeling, but it’s enclosed when it’s crazy hot, or bad weather. It’s clean, parking is pretty easy and the location is great! Definitely a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat.

By royalbluedolphingirl |

Even though you can visit all day, my favorite time is the night life! With all the lit up fountains, especially the fire and water dancing fountain that is just amazing! There are so many places to eat from fast food to elegant, romantic dining. And of course don't forget the shopping! Two city blocks of stores, stores, stores! It is open to the sky in a lot of it, but in the winter there are fires burning every where! Its just a stunning place to be!

By BatGuano30 |

Unlike most malls today, this one looks thriving with few empty storefronts. Good food court and the place is dog friendly. You might make a new four legged friend.

By Brent B |

City creek is a beautiful addition to the calm and clean of downtown Salt Lake City. Some upscale designer shops and departments allow shoppers to find items they formerly had to get in larger metropolitan areas. There is great dining and nightlife nearby as well.

By KGC307 |

We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor layout with water features, natural elements, fish and enclosed skybridge. High quality stores including Anthropologie, Nordstrom and Louis Vuitton, across from Temple Square.

By Ntrekker |

Located right across the street from the Convention Center, this is an excellent mall with lots of light and lots of stores and restaurants. Popular with the local crowd as well, food court has great local restaurants. Very clean and efficient and very friendly. I love the creek that runs thru the mall and the rainbow trout!

By Suzi S |

We visited City Creek Center as part of our short stay in SLC. The center is located 5 minutes' walk from the temple and from our hotel (Plaza). This is a beautiful mall with a pleasant shopping experience and excellent shops. The fountains show was very nice as well.
We had a pleasant time shopping there and we strongly recommend!

By mini |

We enjoyed returning to City Creek Center - which is close to the Mormon Tabernacle and downtown area of Salt Lake. Its a great place for shopping, and restaurants. There is also a large size parking lot there - for a fee.

By goblin54 |

Not a huge mall, but anchored by Macy's and Nordstrom. There are two separate areas connected by a Skybridge at second floor level. There is a food court in one part.
A fountain is the centrepiece of one side and short shows to music are given on the hour, which was the only unusual element.

By DE7313 |

Every time I visit Salt Lake, I love going to City Creek Center. The fountain show and all the shops & restaurants are wonderful. It's a great place for a stroll, window shopping, eat or to shop!

By DisneyFan30 |

A beautiful new mall. It's huge. you'll need a map to find your way. Outdoor type mall with river running through it and waterfall. Lots of upscale stores. Smaller Nordstrom anchors one end. Kind of sad though, when I was child ZCMI and the multi-level Desert Bk were part of the trip that our family would make to SLC. Things have changed.

By Scott Failmezger |

Lots of shops to shop in and great landscaping with creeks running through the mall. One of the nicest malls I have seen.

By clowjung |

This mall doesn’t have any designer stores. It’s nice to walk around and enjoy the little stream going through the mall.

By ThomasEMM |

The City Creek Center is located downtown Salt Lake City and offers a nice variety of shops and restaurants. It is a kind of open shopping environment which could make it less comfortable on rainy days, however, I did not experience that. Also, the SLC Apple Store is located inside.

By Tristan R |

Right across the street from temple square to the North and next to Salt Place convention center to the West. Most of the West side of the mall is clothing & retail stores, with most the East side featuring the majority of the food establishments including a food court. The East side also features a two level outside courtyard. The underground parking offers a large amount of spaces and as of this writing is free for the first 2 hours of parking with a $2/hr charge for each additional hour upto $20. They do offer free parking upto 3 hours if you have receipts from some establishments within the mall.
Something to note for trips to Salt Lake is that the mall is closed all day Sunday. Also, if taking the train, the City Center Station stops right in the middle of the mall on Main St

By Nikijames |

Love coming here to shop. Great stores. I especially love Sephora and the lovely staff there. Parking is easy, good restaurants and eateries. Very pretty decor. I just love it.

By Jessica P |

This beautiful mall is unique in that it is intertwined with downtown SLC. There were a lot of great shops and views through the glass walkways.

By Nate C |

This place has all the stores, very visible security and is very clean. The landscaping is really nice and interesting and just about anyone can find something interesting here.

By Ruby H |

The architecture of this place is fabulous! I only wish we had more time to explore. It’s a huge, indoor/outdoor type mall with some of my favorite stores. It’s got loads of parking and the ambiance is great. They also have a pretty good food court - I recommend Bocata. This mall is a must see!

By L D J |

This is a great outdoor mall with an inside galleria mall feel. They have an amazing food court with an vast array of restaurants to choose from. They have endless stores to meet your shopping needs.

By ndvillanueva |

One of the best malls we've been to in the Northwest. We always have to spend time there when we visit the city. So clean and easy to get to. Great parking underneath (free for first 2 hours!). Tons of food choices. So picturesque! Friendly staff at all the stores. We love this mall!

By logapluslogb |

One of the most beautiful shopping center I have ever been - a small lake, trees with mountain as the backdrop. Being a foreigner, you can also get some discount coupon! Nice place to chill in a beautiful city.

By Greg C |

A mall is generally a mall...however the cleanliness here like virtually all of SLC makes it special. Also, you can tell that this mall was basically 'created' out of existing old buildings, surely revitalizing and transforming this area of downtown. The bridge across the street connecting the two halves is a nice touch. Nice selection of stores and such. And most importantly during our visit in July was that the mall was a VERY nice oasis from the 107 degree temps outside!

By joycefsm |

Great place to roam around and shop. Most of my favorite stores are here. Great ambiance. Resto available in this center. Go there this Christmas season. You will love it!

By Pher Travel |

City a Creek is a great mall to enjoy during the Christmas season. Great variety of outdoor stores. Enjoy the Christmas decorations and the creek with trout running through it. Of course there are some stores that are busier than others for families like Apple, Disney, and Microsoft.

By TomDyerMenorca |

We attend a Convention in Salt Lake every year and usually end up in City Creek at some point. A great selection of stores and places to eat. Very clean and friendly staff

By Kim L |

Everything seemed very clean, neat, safe. All kinds of shopping experiences were available. Nice food court with your kids play area. Wheelchair Accessible. Bring your walking shoes if you’re on foot.

By Monte D |

We were visiting for nine-days in June 2017 to do Family Genealogy research in the Family History library. The shopping mall was just across the street from our hotel so it was convenient for a quick break or a bit to eat. We ate in the Nordstrom Cafe which was excellent. I highly recommend the french dip sandwich and also the strawberry shortcake dessert.
We went in H&M which has very reasonable prices along with a few quick peeks into some of the other stores. The water fountain area was very nice

By Tony d |

When I heard about this development, I had my doubts. Once it was built, I was pleasantly surprised and frankly, it has gotten even better with time. It has an awesome mix of stores, modern and classic architecture, natural and man made beauty. It has a roof that opens in warmer weather, trout in the creek and a really cool waterfall. This is a must visit. The parking is free for the first hour making it easily accessible.

By scotiajim |

Had no idea what this was until I walked in, and then my jaw dropped. A mall with a retractable roof and a view of the mountains? Yes, please.

By milkmaid85 |

We had a good time window shopping at City Creek Center. The mall has plenty to see as you walk from store to store. It was quite hot out, however, and I was told they sometimes close the ceiling (really?) when weather calls for it. I'm not used to the dry heat so maybe that's not when the weather calls for it?

I was a bit astonished at the number of wide open doors on the different stores with blasting AC cooling the entire earth. I hope that the mall gets on board with being more eco-friendly very soon. It's a lovely mall but definitely not environmentally friendly.

By SpnGrl670 |

This was a great mall, with only high-end stores. Nice place to bring the family, and great selection of restaurants. There's also a food court with a kids play area on one side. Close to most major hotels downtown so it's a nice, safe walk when the weather is nice outside.

By elleoa |

This mall has many different kinds of stores for different budgets and it has a little river that runs through it. It's a pretty location to take a stroll and shop around.

By David B |

An upscale shopping center sitting across from Temple Square. A convenient spot to park (2 hours free when we visited) when downtown with its cool underground garage. Fountains and water features make for an interesting visit.

By QuietTourist |

This was a well appointed modern hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived late but they let us into restaurant which was closing. They called us a cab to airport. They gave us directions to sites and described them.
The restaurant like all hotel restaurants was overpriced but the service was extremely friendly and the food above average. They also let us split entrees saving us money.

By Simone |

We love walking through this place. It’s perfect for any time of the year, any weather. The creek running through the center is just lovely. Enjoyed by all ages. Outside has waterfalls & fireplaces & beautifully lit trees. Every sort of dining available, from casual to fine dining. Classy stores.

By Carol G |

Upper end to lower end shopping experience. From Tiffany's to Forever 21, just about anyone can find a store in their price range. My favorite aspect of this mall is the meandering City Creek with trout near the Macy's entrance.

By Angie B |

Large open air mall. Has a creek and lots of cool fountains including a splash pad for kids. Typical mall stores but excellent atmosphere. Close to temple area.

By PlanBsocial |

When the girls want to shop here, it could be worse. Plenty to see and do to survive a shopping day. Find the albino trout...coolest find of the day. The Apple Store is another good stop - read the news on a big iPad maybe watch a game streamed online. Oh, and always spray on a lot of different colognes at Nordstrom.

By Shlomi s |

This is a very big and modern mall
Many stores and places to eat
Parking in the garage under is free for the first two hours
Definitely a shopper heaven!

By amber1127 |

City Creek is a great shopping center for the holidays. The candy windows at Macey’s are fun with intricate candy arranged in holiday designs. There are many restaurants and a food court. We favor Cheesecake Factory, Blue Lemon, and Bocatta. Many shops the kids enjoy such as H &M, Forever 21, American Eagle, Disney, Apple, Alex and Ani, Free People, and the list goes on. Shopping is open air so doesn’t feel overwhelming but is also warm with streams and ponds throughout. Decorated with lights and displays. Next to temple square to see the lights and reflection pond. Can fill the whole day with fun. Marriott City Creek is on-site as well for an overnighter.

By flipper0211 |

The mall is nice. It provides an outdoor and indoor areas. The store selection provides a wide variety brands, contains a limited amount of luxury brand name stores to other commercial brand stores. The food court is small and limited in selection.

By gravesnloudon |

We visited City Creek Center specifically so I could shop at Louis Vuitton. It is a beautiful shopping center with a great array of shops. I could have spent all day if I had been alone 😉 Everything was clean and I loved the way it is set up. The parking wasn’t the most ideal and I hate paying to park when I am spending money shopping. However, I suppose that’s the way all downtown areas operate. No photos from my trip, but I recommend visiting City Creek if you enjoy shopping.

By AndyB5542 |

This is a enclosed shopping mall. They have the usual clothing stores. The fountains in the middle are very nice. We walked through it, so it's worth a quick stroll.

By CoCo K |

This is a nice mall. We like to come here for the fact it's not just a mall. There are nice decorations to see and makes for an interesting walk.

By OAKSFO |

Beautiful urban mall. Retractable roof. Fountain show twice nightly, I think 7 and 9pm with "flames" coming out of the water. If you are there anyway, try to catch this. This mall was 2 light rail stops from our hotel, was upscale, and we found it useful for the food court. Great amenity.

By Lukas |

I just came back to Europe after visiting spectacular Utah once again. Stopped by Salt Lake City (as I've done in the past) and visited City Creek Center. This "mall" is fantastic! Very beautiful, lots of good stores, nice restaurants, huge indoor parking facility, and very close to the beautiful Temple Square. Everyone was super friendly and they even offer an awesome travel case for free for out-of-town visitors in the information center. Highly recommended!

By Lee45900 |

The City Creek Center is an absolutely must see destination during a visit to Salt Lake City. The complex is huge with major department stores, unique shops, and restaurants. And, a river flows through it! The only thing lacking is a movie theater.

By Teakwo23 |

A beautiful mall, especially during the holidays. Stores are a little on the high end side. The Christmas lights were breath taking.

By Marjolein A |

Great shopping mall. Clean spacious and very hospitable employees. Nice foodcourt with loads of choices from fastfood to Indian etc.

By Remco M |

Nice shopping mall for when your looking for clothes and food. I could find some nice things here, like souveniers and clothes. Its not an outlet

By Route66travel |

Across from the Temple Square is the City Creek Center with lots of stores and places to eat. A bit different mall with stores & eateries inside and outside. Some of the buildings are historical also. Just across is a rail stop. So after doing tourist site visits at Temple Square, go shopping or eat at City Creek Center.

By Carlosperuano |

As everything in Salt Lake City, City Creek is a quite place.

Macys, Apple, Nordstrom, have big showrooms and stores. It is a pleasure to shop in this mall.

By CADreamin |

After attending a show at the Megaplex, we walked around the outdoor mall there -- the 'mall' with no one there. We were told to go to the City Creek Center to have a much nicer shopping experience. City Creek is right across from Temple Square and does have a nice, little man-made creek. There are some restaurants and a number of well-known stores off the main walkway (Macy's, Apple, etc.). I was surprised that this outdoor/indoor mall was also sparsely sprinkled with shoppers. Yes, there are a number of people that appeared to be less fortunate, asking for money; however, that seems to be the 'norm' in most large cities.

By FlyAaron |

Right in the center of downtown Salt Lake City is this upscale indoor/outdoor mall. This is not a very big shopping area but it does provide a variety of stores and restaurants including Macy's as an anchor store. Parking is free for the first two hours and $2 per hour after that.

By Trip Volunteer |

Nice local. A shopping area with many high end shops.
Good shopping options and good variety for lunch and dinner. The Mood is very beautiful and you will be able to take lots of photos!
I recommend. Parking is underground.

By ChubbaHill |

What a beautiful space. Spacious, clean and comfortably layed out. Strange as it may sound, it was actually relaxing, almost soothing, to walk the mall.
Small streams and ponds with fish, lots of lush greenery, not noisy and even the typical "mall" environment felt subdued in favor of a layer back vibe.
I wish I was in town longer, I'd certainly return.

By JuniorMazzagardi |

The City Creek Center is a wonderful place to walk and shop during cold days and really nice place to walk and shop in hot days.

By sydneybmp |

A beautiful, modern embellishment to SLC. It is a higher class mall, so there are not many cheapsie-flimsy stores, which is nice. I particularly enjoy the unique stores found here and the set up of the mall. It is a LOT of walking so be weary of that, many of the benches being decorative stone slabs and not cushions. Which is fine for teenagers/young adults, but elderly people may struggle.
There is a beautiful creek that flows throughout the mall with fish to watch which is always fun, and the whole mall is nature based with a retractable glass roof.
The only downside is when walking from one end of the mall to another, if you are not on the 2nd floor taking the skybridge, you'll have to cross a street where a plethora of homeless people beg. Its hard to give to just one when there are so many around and its hard to avoid them as they are often right in the walking path.
Christmas time is a MUST.

By GlobalExplorerZ |

Great stores, great food, great condos, great location, great transportation, great views, ... great place to live and shop

By Tom GJ |

This in Salt Lake City for me one of the cleanest citys in the US. I have to pull my hat down 5 stars for the whole city

By Harold W |

Well this place has to rank as one of the finest and best kept in the entire continent! I realize it is now a quiet time of year but "you could eat off the floors!" Bathrooms are clean clean clean. As is the entire facility. Accessibility with lite Rail is ideal. Top quality stores. Enjoy!

City Creek Center is truly appealing and houses some of the most upscale stores in the world, including Rolex and Tiffany, sandwiched between more traditional department stores like Macy's and Nordstrom. The Cheesecake Factory is perhaps the largest restaurant, with Food Court offerings for those in a rush. The outdoor fountains are an eclectic mix of artful water blended with more traditional ones. It would be a great place to hang out with a book or just meditate.

Nice shopping center and a daily good size. There is parking under the street and is reasonably priced. I like how they have both indoor and outdoor parts of the center, as well as walkways above the streets. There are plenty of stores and food choices to pick from.

Unlike most shopping malls, CC has a food court with terrific options at moderate prices. We ate at the Osaka Japanese stall, and got the chicken and shrimp special, which comes with white rice, steamed veggies and a generous amount of both teriyaki chicken and grilled shrimp for under $7. It even comes with a complimentary glass of ice water. Other options include Italian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Mexican, and several American standards.

A creek runs through it. Stylish, modern, mostly open air Mall. Vast variety of shops, something for everyone. Go take a look.

You name it, they have it, right here. Covered walkways, but abundant sunshine. This is a great place to visit, and the fountain and stream running down the center add a nice touch. Look up and check out the retractable roof.

Great place to shop and dine. Just steps from the Convention Center. A gem in Downtown. Nice stores and restaurants. Love the architecture and views from the city. Very romantic at night. Loved it. Will be back every time visiting Salt Lake City.

A very particular shopping center, elegant, with an internal garden from which also a stream runs inside, in the middle of the shops. All well maintained, which in Italy would be unthinkable. The whole city is well-kept. Congratulations!

We visited this twice during the week we were in Salt Lake City. Great shops and excellent restaurants. We especially enjoyed eating at the Cheesecake Factory. If you love chocolate, I highly recommend their "Tuxedo Chocolate Cheesecake." I really like their iced tea.

On multiple occasions I have witnessed dogs urinating on the indoor bushes lining the creek. I've also seen canines defecating right on the floor! This is a shopping mall, not a dog park!

Had a good time headed to this mall that spans a good-sized area for shopping in the town centre of Salt Lake City. From luxury brands to local brands, food variety was good which included Cheesecake Factory, where the cheesecake definitely was the star of the show and absolutely delicious.

Do head over here for a spot of shopping and eating when in town.
