Clearwater Beach is another beautiful Gulf Coast Beach. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Family friendly as well. Inflatables near the pier are perfect for kiddos. $35 for an all day pass the kids had a great time jumping, and sliding…swimming in the ocean and playing on the shaded playground. Also, sunsets on Pier 60 bring in local artisans selling some great unique items at fair prices. We truly loved it. The reason I give Clearwater 4 stars instead of 5 though is due to the amount of litter on the beach. I’ve been to Ocean City, VA Beach and Myrtle…and this is the dirtiest beach I’ve ever been to. It’s really sad. People just pack up at the end of the day and leave behind all their trash. Plastic cups, bottles, diapers, and beer cans. Unreal that people are that nasty and lazy they can’t even pick up their own trash when they go. Other than that Clearwater Beach truly is awesome and gorgeous. And a lot of fun! Clean up your trash people!

Great manicured sand beach.
We went to the North end with our dog. Great clean beach. Easy access, parking is stupid high, but no fee to use the beach, so….
Enjoy

Capturing amazing memories with splendid Florida Sunset scenery for families, friend, couples, solo any occasion!!

My favorite beach in the eastern US. Clean, peaceful, gentle & relaxing. Look forward to every trip.

in my opinion the best beach on Florida's Gulf of Mexico coast a must do for anyone in the Orlando area

Gorgeous white sand beach on the Florida Golf coast. Very busy and crowded in the second half of the day. Easy to walk from hotels and it does not have reserved/restricted access or restricted areas near hotels, so, you can walk "for miles" on the beach.

How close the Hotel was to a short walk to the beach where you can rent a cabana very reasonably. You can get supplies and food to bring at the store directly across from the hotel.

Visited in July 2025 – very disappointing.
I visited Clearwater Beach in July 2025, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The beach was extremely crowded, traffic was heavy, and parking was a real challenge. The sand was dirty, covered with seaweed, and there was an unpleasant smell in some areas. Walking along the shore was uncomfortable due to the amount of sharp shells. I also saw several people openly drinking alcohol on the beach, even though it’s supposed to be prohibited.
How could this possibly be voted the best beach in the U.S.?
I definitely won’t be coming back. Not recommended

Water is blue and sand is powdery white.. kids were so busy playing in sand, we had to pull them out of the beach and drag back.. good experience

Front desk staff were helpful. Balcony room on the “quiet side” of the building overlooked the gas station below. Room was dated. Staff placed lots of emphasis on the outdoor entertainment space. More of a party vibe than resort. Not for me.

The best beaches, to see the best sunsets. If you are in the area you cannot miss visiting it, you will want to stay and live.

It was definitely colder than we had expected. Beaches were beautiful and clean. Stayed at Hyatt Regency and it was a wonderful hotel other than their pool was freezing. Great food, wonderful people. We enjoyed Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island were amazing! Very relaxing place.

Is a beautiful beach clear water and white sand but the worst part is full of people that don't care about other smoking ciggaretes and tabacco. The beach is full of childrens and babies but the smoke don't let you enjoy a clean beach air. Like they don't allow alcohol should not allow people smoke or make a beach for smokers like there is one for nude people. If you have a family member with health condition you can't go because is bad how the air smell. People don't think about other this days.

The water was amazing and beautiful and the weather was perfect. Parking is trouble some, but keep driving around. Do not pay a lot for parking, but make sure you pay to avoid being towed.

Majestic but overdeveloped Florida beach with pristine, floury white sand, lots of people (some attractive, some not so much), and few if any swimmers in February. Water temperature here was like Maine in the summer. I found the vast open beach area quite nice from the point of view of vast open beaches, but it was almost a prerequisite given the number of people.
The sun was beaming, and we walked and walked from one end to the other. (Part of this is because we had to park far away. As such, parking at Clearwater isn’t so simple that a caveman could do it.) There was also an extremely long pier that drew us to within its confines, but little did we know there was actually a nominal toll to get past half way. What a crock! Does everything have to be commercialized? Plus, not everybody walks the beach with cash. The other downside of the pier is its highly restrictive entrance that forces beach goers to walk an additional 100 yards in the sand. A gate on either side prevents walkers from joining part way.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of vendors, bars, and semi-fast food restaurants to drink pina coladas or grab a tex-mex meal with an ocean view.
Best part about this beach is its sand. If you ever imagined yourself digging your hands (or feet) into a box of wheat flour, this is the place!

Always a great choice. The water is great. There are always people to set. By Hurricane Milton was not 100% but this beach always meets

This beach was horrible. Someone was playing very loud music with a loud speaker. The lifeguard stated as long as it was not derogatory they could play the music despite how disruptive it was. Everyone around them left due to the music! Awful experience 😭

I have visited many beaches in FL, but so far, I like this one the best. Calm water, clean beach and nice soft sand.

One of the most beautiful beach in Florida. White sand, warm water, very few waves (safe for kids), lifeguards, parking spaces (all paid but plenty) and lots of bars, restaurants and shops near.

Arrived around 9:30am with my family, plenty of parking although very expensive for the day ( until 4pm ) it was over $20+.
Headed to the beach, amazing white sand, sea was warm, some good waves and plenty of areas to set up.
One down fall is the cost of hire for sun beds / chairs and umbrella/ tents… over $100 for 2 tents and 5 chairs. Go to a store and buy your own, it’s much cheaper!
The food and drinks are expensive as well, again another $100+ gone.
Other than that, lower the prices and it would be amazing

Next time you visit Disney or universal. Clearwater beach is a must if you have access to a car. It’s around 89miles from the Disney.
The water and the beach is really clean

Fantastic beach, just watch out for sticker bushes near the entrances if you're barefoot! Went when it was raining but the water was actually warm so it made for a great time.

Lots of highway, utilities, and hotel construction. Very high hotel room rates. Several restaurants with similar menus; turns out they are all owned by the same corp.
Shephards beach “music” Friday and Saturday nights is stupid loud. Can be heard and felt by residents blocks away.
Long drive to any public golf courses worth playing. $80 each player was as cheap as we could find.

Tori rented me a bike. It was great! Had so much tooling around the beach! She was so fun and friendly. Thanks Tori!

Was very busy, but seemed like a nice area lots of sand, water and seashells for a beach. Beach was clean and well kept I walked barefoot the whole time with no problems. Not bad for a swim beach.

There is something for everyone at Clearwater Beach besides the beach, including numerous restaurants, good music at various hotels and restaurants, plus the Jolly Trolley to take you around the beach. As a local, I love going there as much as possible to relax, and especially Shephards Resort for dancing. There is also Pier 60 with a lot of vendors displaying their wares.

If you are looking for a nice and clean beach in Florida, I would recommend Clearwater Beach! It was a really pretty and clean beach There are also fun things to do in the Clearwater area, and lots of cute shops!

Clearwater Beach is hopping. Volleyball nets, Pier 60, vast white sandy areas, beautiful water, all types of restaurants along the beach and on the other side of the beach at the marina side. Lots to do and see. Beware, parking can be difficult to find anytime of the day or night March - September.

Beautiful clean and expansive beach. Most hotels have cabana/chair/towel rentals-some have beach volleyball courts. Many restaurant options with seafood, sandwiches, burgers, and drinks.

The beach is very beautiful with white soft sand that is so fine. There are plenty of places to eat or shop. Parking is a little tricky though.

Deep sea fishing on the salt cracker boat with captain Mike and Doobie was absolutely amazing, so very friendly and informative to us Brit’s who had never fished in the ocean before

One of the prettiest beaches I have ever been to. Just took my 4th trip down and plan to be back in the spring.

I briefly visited Clearwater Beach as a kid. I got to come back here with my wife almost 35 years later. It is beautiful and a very fun place to visit. The beach is absolutely beautiful.

Very beautiful beach with blue water and tons of seashells!! The drive to the beach is just breathtaking and marvelous, it’s definitely a place you should add to your bucket list

Very busy beach and very expensive to park. It is beautiful, but to go in for a day trip was difficult. If this is your thing, I'd definitely recommend spending the money and staying at one of the hotels in the area.

The most softest, whitest sand you will ever feel between your toes - sublime, like baby powder!
A beautiful wide& long beach with crystal clear water.
Too chilly for me to swim in at this time of year & only there for a day/night stop on our Florida road trip but a wonderful beach to walk upon.

If you’re looking for night life.. This ain’t it. This place sucks. The only good thing about Clearwater is the beach and depending on your hotel, could be a total buzz kill as well. Despite being white sand, these beaches are not taken care of and are filthy by the end of the night, littered with trash, fireworks, and whatever else you can think of. Don’t even get me started on the fare. It’s awful. If you want something outside of bar food, good luck. This place blows. If you come here, stay confined to your hotel, your beach access, and bring plenty of food and snacks. Because ain’t sh*t else edible here. The beach is the only thing worth coming here for.

What a beautiful place to go. Lots of thing to do for the whole family. Teens and small children. We hopped on board the little toot to see some dolphins. They are truly awesome. We also went and had a great experience at the Clearwater aquarium. Little sad that Winter wasn’t there but still had a great time

We love beaches, we love ocean and sand, the sand here is almost baby powder. Its easy to walk on and doesn’t get hot like most beaches. Its groomed and clean! There is so much to do and see as well as restaurants within walking distance of most condos and hotels. Its beautiful here!

Amazing White Sand Beach, lots of public parking and Public accommodations. Park all day and enjoy the Water, Sun and picnic areas.

Clearwater beach is amazing! Small town but tons of things to do! Great for family vacation!
We spent a few days, but planning on coming back next year! So many accommodation options for all budgets!

Awesome beach with nice and clear water! Wonderful shells, nice pier you can walk. It costs 1$ per person but it’s nice to walk out and have a view! Nice restaurants, bars and shops around the streets!
We parked at a public parking 461 Mandalay Ave and the price was good - 3 $ per hour!

I have been coming to Clearwater for over 20 years. My favorite hotel I have stayed at is The Edge. The new h and Gulf are beautiful . The sand is white and powdery. The water color, clarity, and calmness varies. I find summer to be the most tropical but check red tide reports if coming in the summer. So many great places to eat, shop, watersports, Clearwater aquarium, etc.Overall, great vacation spot!

A very clean and welcoming beach with white sand and plenty of shells. Sunsets views are amazing. Enjoy the sandbar.

The beach has tons of seaweed. There are very small waves. I thought i could walk out past it but it only got worse. It is a very crowded beach but we went on a Saturday in June. I also found it is not a good beach to look for shells. I found Treasure Island beach to be much better.

We love the beach so I can't rate it a one star but wow, has it changed in the ten years since we have been here last. It is so built up and there are so many people using the one small stretch of sand. We were so excited to go back, never again. Way to many people to even enjoy yourself.

We went to Clearwater Beach. The sand and water were beautiful, and the staff in gift shop were friendly. We look forward to another visit.

Loving life in Clearwater! Come see us and enjoy one of the best beaches in America. While you're here soaking up the sun, don't forget all the other great things Clearwater, St. Pete and Tampa have to offer.

The white sands and blue water were awesome but definitely not worth the hassle. Parking was atrocious and cost $8 an hour. It probably took me an hour to find a place to park. None of the restaurants will let you park there even if you buy they're very expensive food. The beach was also elbow to elbow and the blue water was literally peppered with people. I wish I had gone to honeymoon Island or Indian rocks.

Must experience. The all you can eat buffet was awesome and good. The all you can drink bar was amazing. I really liked the mixed drink. My first one I thought was weak. After having two I realized it snuck up on me like a ghost. This was an amazing boat ride.

Loved the beach, walking around to different shops and restaurants. Everything within walking distance. They also have a trolley to take you around. Pier 60 has a little celebration at sunset. Vendors set up along pier at that time.

Clearwater is not for me. My friend and I were going to stay in St Pete’s Beach but the hotel we had booked had massive construction going on so we stayed in Clearwater. Im sure in season it’s happening but in June, not so much.
Lots of police around and it felt somewhat seedy.

Excellent beach, white sand, crystal clear water and good temperature. There is a Rental Service of sunbeds, umbrellas and / or a kind of tents that are very good. In the surrounding area it has all the necessary services. The sunset is spectacular.

Watch on parking here....... If you back in to the parking spot, you will get a ticket for $25.
There are some signs up about this, but nothing near where you pay for the parking, so make sure you are looking for this. There were a number of people who had tickets on the windshield.

Everything that we needed was located within walking distance. The beach is awesome - our favorite in the US. Many hotel options, food options and great walking around the beach area.

Did the sugar and sand festival on the beach. The beach itself was packed with people. Parking anywhere near the beach is a pain, get there early. I did not see any free parking.

Beautiful beach with awesome sunsets but way overcrowded during the holiday weekend, wish there were not so many umbrellas and tents, surf shops and small market around the area, trolley available that takes you to Madeira and St Pete’s beaches

I booked the Little Toot Dolphin Adventure Boat to go Dolphin Watching (through Viator) where we were lucky enough to see Dolphins out in the wild. Parking was easy and convenient in the multi storey but quite expensive. Lots of stalls on the pier with homemade souvenirs and the sea is the warmest sea I have ever stepped foot in! Beautiful sunsets and lots of nightlife.

White sand beach. Been to other beaches and the white sand here is sublime. It is a beautiful beach and great destination.

Beautiful beach with good structure, there are good public bathrooms (free); public parking (paid per hour); shower at the exit of the beach (free), option to rent sunbeds and beach chairs!
Difficult to find vacant and beach very full! Various places to eat!

My favorite beach in the USA ! Great restaurants, bars and live music up and down the road. So much to do in this beautiful beach town !

Captain Memos Pirate ship was amazing. Great ride, great crew, and great experience. The White Sands beach area is so beautiful and the water so clear, we didn't want to leave. And Poke Havana restaurant was so delicious 😋

Amazing, beautiful, powered sand. Beautiful shops, including hulk hogan!
Weekday visits are a lot quieter if you’re able to do that.

We've been to Clearwater a couple times during the months of May and June and the water is calm on most days. Sometimes it is windy and choppy water though. There are several great seafood and southern cooking restaurants up and down Mandalay Avenue. There are lots of cabanas to rent both near the pier 60 or up north. We have seen manatees in the water while viewing from the pier 60. It's worth paying the dollar fee to walk to the end of the pier. We loved Crabby's Dockside restaurant as our favorite in Clearwater. We also enjoyed the Palm Pavilion, and Bait House. We stayed at Pier House 60 and the Courtyard by Marriott on a few occasions in May and June. Both were great hotels that include a breakfast. The Marriott has a shuttle that takes you to the nearest beach.

Great beach town! Loads of entertainment and restaurants! Well maintained beach and lifeguards to make this one of the best beach vacation you could ever want!

What a lovely chilled place Clearwater is , super casual, friendly people and beautiful beaches, easy t access all the various beach fronts, bars and restaurants

Beautiful sand and warm water! The beach wasn't crowded and was very enjoyable. We rented a cabana and 2 lounge chairs for $45 til 5pm. We were near Pier 60; parking was on site and walking distance to shops and food. Highly recommend breakfast at Beach Shanty Cafe! The pier gift shop had concessions and beach items for sale. The pier bait shop was open that you can rent fishing gear until 7pm.

All good. Sun beds and umbrella $40 until 5pm. Not bad I suppose. Parking was hit and miss, parking at holiday inn $20 per car

The sand is beautiful and the beach is clean. The water was to warm and way to many people. Treasure Island was less crowded with cooler and clearer water.

Clearwater was the nicest, cleanest beach we visited during our vacation to the Tampa area. Remember your sunscreen!

Great beach for little ones, however very crowded. Great views and just a great place to visit!! Best beach for kiddos to play.

If you find yourself in Florida, then you should definitely visit this beach! The sand here is the most stunning, fine and white. From the hotel window overlooking the beach in the morning it seems like there is snow outside. Every time I catch myself thinking about this)) The water here is much nicer for swimming compared to the ocean. On the beach you will be offered umbrellas and sun loungers at a very reasonable price. In general, you definitely need to visit here!

We drive every year are 2019 for 4 months to Clearwater Beach . It's wonderful there. We have found a private accommodation for 1200 dollars a month diereckt behind the bridge when you drive in. You can do anything they like there. Lots of possibilities. Every day in the evening private lap on the Pir60 ride there and you are infected by the beautiful Strad and live there. Lothar, Ingrid and Poodle Pegy.

This beach was beautiful we stayed overnight. Is an hour and a half trip from Orlando. We enjoyed the beach very much, parking was easy and we rented a sun shade . We will definitely go back if back in Florida!

If we compare it to Miami Beach it's a 10 now if we compare it to any other beach in the Caribbean it's a seven. The plus point is the white sand and the sunset on the sea which is unmatched. Then the water will not expect to see a turquoise ocean but rather a green one. Undoubtedly if you go to Orlando it is the best beach in your vicinity but I repeat lower expectations regarding seeing a Caribbean beach and sea. As for the number of people it is always preferable to go from the pier to the north because there are far fewer people than from the pier to the south where it is in high season literally next to each other as if it were the Argentine coast. That's why if you want quiet walk a little further north. There are countless resorts that are two or three blocks from the beach and most were very well so you don’t need to spend a lot of money on large oceanfront hotels because it doesn’t make sense.

The beach itself, and adjoining sea are among the finest anywhere, but the Waikiki level development and crowding pretty much destroys enjoyment. You will pay handsomely for parking.... that's if you can even find any. Thousands of umbrellas, most of whish have views of..... other umbrellas. I can only imagine going back if I could go midday, midweek, during low season.

We’ve been wanting to visit Clearwater since 2001 and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely busier at the weekends but the sand was whiter than any beach I have ever seen and the sea as warm as bath water. Not to mention the stalls and street entertainers on the pier in the evening. Loved the Clearwater vibe.

The Clearwater Beach trip was great. We celebrated my fiancée bday. Stayed on Coranado which is on the beach. Hyatt Regency was our hotel which is next to the Wyndham hotel and near the Hilton. I can’t speak for those two hotels, however they were also busy based on so many people wearing their “door key” branded wrist bands. Hyatt also has these wrist brands. Overall, Clearwater Beach Island was great. Clean streets, great restaurants, great people. We booked a reservation at “Chute ‘Em Up” parasailing which was awesome. Friendly staff, clean equipment from the dock out to dock back. Recommend a 10 star trip at 46 years of age. Things to do for infants to elders.

In June we were in Clearwater Beach, I must say, never in my life have I seen a more beautiful beach. The white and soft sand is second to none. A real dream. Just too bad we couldn't spend more time there

Yes the beach is very nice but I got a $25 ticket after paying 6.35 on the app because I backed my car into the spot. I later searched for the sign as it was not prominent around the lot and found one located right where you would not look if you were looking for pedestrians or other cars exiting as you enter the lot.

We were there for the first time in 2005 in Clearwater Beach for 4 weeks ,we were so excited that we then drove every year until 2024 for 6months always to the same address . This year it will only be 10 days. Our landlady Beverly died at 97 in September and on 29.9.24 the Haryken came and destroyed the Appartmends .Now we fly over again to say goodbye to our 2home.

Clearwater Beach! What were you thinking? Why did you destroy what was once a classic pristine fun beach. You can’t even see the beach anymore. So you let big business come in and over build every square foot of sand. Really sad. There’s not even any beach left! The “Sea Captain Hotel” days are gone forever.
What a sellout. Such greed.

Beautiful beaches. We walked a couple of miles north on the shoreline until we reached a virtually deserted area with a beautiful sea and a rich birdlife

My girlfriend and I visited Clearwater for the day and were very glad we did. We are now considering a future holiday in the area as it was so nice.
The cabana’s are available on the beach at a cost, personally we don’t think these are too expensive and are well worth getting but be aware you cannot pay with cash so have a bank card available. The same goes for the main car park.
The beach was beautiful, very clean and in a great location and a lovely place to visit for a chill out day with lefty of decent shops and amenities around.

I love Clearwater Beach, it has always been a great vacation spot and the sand is soft and white. Many things to do there and love Sand Pearl Resort!

Love Clearwater Beach - they keep the beach clean, a lot of opportunity for boat excursions, good food, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Everyone is friendly!! November and December are great times to vacation!!

Clearwater Beach you never disappoint cannot recommend highly enough great beach lovely sea great eats places, always feels like home

Great ahi salad and pizza! Ordered carry out and took it to the beach. Very efficient. The whole family definitely recommends it!

Spectacular sunset at Clearwater Beach after a wonderful couples professional photo session with BE Jazy Photography!!

Arrive first thing in the morning for the best experience! My family arrived a little after 9am and had no problem parking at the Pier 60 lot. We rented a cabana for the whole day. We left the beach mid day for a dolphin adventure but left our non valuables to keep our cabana spot. For little kids, I would try to grab a beach spot closer to Pier 60 (section 26ish) for bathroom purposes. We were in Section 28 of the beach (per the little entrance signs) and were a ways from the nearest bathroom. We even saw dolphins playing just beyond where we were swimming! Bring some floaties (tubes or body boards) for optimal wave fun! Pier 60 was still under construction so we didn’t get to go out on it. Crazy busy midday but you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble going early!

Clearwater Beach was my alternative to Aruba because I did not want to have to deal with any COVID issues/concerns. It’s a very safe area with plenty of people around. The beach was very clean and groomed everyday by the city. The water is very clean with a bare minimum of seaweed. The water is extremely swimmable (went swimming every day). There’s a varied selection of restaurants to choose from with price ranges from fast food to fine dining. Obviously there are a great number of seafood restaurants and a few very good steak restaurants. There’s outdoor entertainment in the Pier 60 vicinity. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. The weather was perfect save for one half day of rain followed by sunny & warm. Everybody was there to have a good time, hang on the beach or around the pool, eat and drink. Family friendly area with plenty of little kids running around.

Police driving around write nit picking violations but not bothering with actual nuisance issues. This used to be one of Florida’s best gulf beaches. Now it is just an expensive tourist trap with outrageous parking charges, extremely over crowded beaches with unbelievable commercialization and loads of rude Spanish tourists ( maybe not tourists). The people that work at all the businesses are very polite and friendly but the tourists were the worst. There were large groups of Spanish people playing extremely loud music and twerking their fat butts right in front of families with children and the cops just drove by. After spending $400 / night at the Hilton, I expected better. Never coming back here.

Visit in early July with family. Amazing beach with crystal sand and amazing views. Lots of shops and ample parking.
Parking was a bit expensive at 30 dollars a day, sunbed pods were also 50 dollars but I just used our parasol. One thing worth noting is it is very hot and when we went there wasn't much wind.

Great beach for families. Plenty of different activities to do including volleyball, metal detecting, swimming and shell collecting. Would definitely suggest going if you are in the area

What a beauty! Clearwater is by far one of my most favorite beaches ever! White sand. Warm water. Lots of parking. An overload of food near by. Highly recommended. Get there early to secure a cabana if you’re visiting. My family and I absolutely enjoyed a nice shade right by the water.

Beautiful beach with white sand.
In addition to a beautiful sidewalk that accompanies the entire edge to walk. There are bars and restaurants around there.

I love this beach. It is so clean, every morning, I would see the beach being cleaned and staff putting out loungers with umbrellas. The sand was pristine and the water was perfect.

Great beach, We drove from Orlando to spend the day at Clearwater. We parked in the first car park on the right after the bridge going into Clearwater, 390 East Shore Drive, easy parking and reasonable price, Spent a great few hours in Clearwater and watched the sun set, what a lovely site to see, Our disappointment when we returned to the car to find we had a parking ticket for $25, out payment ticket was still in time, on closer inspection the fine was placed on our car 3 min after we parked, would you believe we were fined for reversing into the bay, supposedly you should drive in, the !!!!! warden must have seen us park and rather than say anything waited until we were out of site and fined us, i was always told it is safer to drive out of some where rather than reverse, this ruined our day out, so be warned don't reverse into a parking bay,

Love this beach. It is so beautiful and has so much to do. We love the ice cream and the food around the area is yummy 😋 a great place to visit with the family of all ages

This is the first time I have been on. Clearwater Beach in 40 years, wow it is a great beach these days !

Clearwater Beach is exactly as titled… A Clearwater experience! Absolutely gorgeous beach, lots of shops and eateries, weekend sunset vendors along the pier, sometimes live music, boat adventures, you name it!
I have been coming here for 25 years! It’s changed a lot but is still beautiful! Come and make your own memories here too!

We rented a cabana and two chairs for $75 for the day. The sand was incredibly soft and white. Lots of little seashells at the waters edge. Shops were across the street and hotels right on the beach. The pier has some more night life than day life. Nice beach to visit. Water was a little cold in March. Wasn't extremely crowded during Spring break.

I stopped in on Sunday, by myself as a woman it looked comfortable! Had an order of hush puppies and a margarita and the bartender was amazing. She answered all my questions about the area and made me very comfortable. Even introduced me to some regulars, and made my day so fun! If you go to Saltcracker be sure to ask for Trisha! She will make your day!! Can’t wait to come back and talk with her more!

Clearwater Beach was a highlight of our trip—clean, wide shoreline with powdery white sand and calm turquoise water that’s perfect for swimming or just relaxing. Our family loved walking along the beachfront promenade, grabbing snacks, and watching the sunset at Pier 60, which turns into a lively festival with street performers and vendors. The vibe is laid-back but lively, and everything’s within walking distance—cafes, shops, and restrooms are easy to find.
Parking can be a little competitive during peak hours, but the Jolley Trolley and nearby lots make it manageable. Whether you’re into water sports, people-watching, or just soaking up the sun, this beach has something for everyone. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the Tampa Bay area.

We drove up from Treasure Island for the last day of the sugar sand festival. Huge sand sculptures competition, lots of food and drink, music and TONS of people! After a lot of searching we finally found a parking spot. Only to find the parking meter wasn’t working. Luckily a parking cop stopped by. We found out you can park for free is you have a handicap placard. We had one so we parked for free ½ block from the pier. It was a beautiful day. Fantastic people watching. Loved the sand castles.

Fun time with friends on this beach. I really liked the white sand and the fresh wind. We went to a bar and we had so much fun. After having two shoots I was snucked up but my gang just kept drinking. This was an amazing trip.

Opinions Vary on the best beach in the USA, but this ranks up there as one of the best not only for the white sands and slow sloping shelf allowing lots of swimming opportunities, but also this is almost like a escape from reality. There is one main road in/out so once you are there, everything is walkable (or the Jolly Trolley).

This was my first time seeing the gulf! It was amazing. I was a little afraid it’d be too cold to do anything beach related but I was wrong
Pros:
-Close to several hotels, many having beach access
-Shoreline is easy to walk
-Temps ranged 65-70 the entire time we were there
-Beach is very clean
-Was easy to walk the shoreline
-Sand is beautiful and white
Cons
-Beach is VERY crowded

Your business is not welcomed here. The people here are so rude, from hotel staff to restaurants to shops to bars, even the beach staff that you pay your rentals to. Walkability score is 0. You can see a store across the street but you can't get to it, fencing up everywhere. Walk there and there and there to get here and then back again. Can take you 10 minutes to walk to a place across the street. Never again.

Water was just right for swimming in April. Family friendly and also a blast for well all well behaved college crowd.

Lovely white sand and blue sea! Parking costs around $3 per hour. It's about a 2 hour drive from where we stayed in Orlando, but Tampa traffic is a pain so bear that in mind.

A lovely little town that's out of the way for a low key stay on our anniversary. The downtown area is crowded and overbuilt, so we stayed uptown at one of the smaller hotels, the Palm Pavilion Inn. Our place was pretty much on the beach, no roads to cross, so we enjoyed a walk on the sand, and wife wife loved walking in the waters of the Gulf. There were lots of small eateries nearby, some of them quite good, and downtown is within easy walking distance. A great place for couples as well as families.

Beautiful. That’s all I can say. Absolutely beautiful. There is so much to do. There are shops, restaurants, and walking trails. There are inflatable slides near Pier 60. You can fish as well. There is so much to do. When you get tired or all that you can sit in a lounge chair and look out over that beautiful water. It is absolutely beautiful. The sand is powder white and fluffy. It’s Paradise.

Amazing beach with a lot of amenities nearby and a beautiful pier you can spot a dolphins if you keep searching amazing for me it’s a must visit if you plan a Florida vacation the water is really good is not so deep at the beginning cool for family

I can not say enough good things about Clearwater Beach, as they have something for everyone to enjoy. There are numerous restaurants, venues for dancing, not to mention the beach with soft, white sand, as they rake it daily. If you want to buy groceries or souvenirs, there are plenty of places to do so. Let us not forget the ocean, which is really good for people with children, since you can walk out a long way in shallow water. It has been rated the #1 Beach in the US, and there is a good reason for that. It is worth going to, whether you are a local, or on vacation.

Beautiful beach and great coastal area.can be quite pricey. Very crowded, especially on weekends, . Beach is clean and beautiful, water crystal clear and warm. The only downside is that it's very crowded especially with all the hotels and their cabana and chair setups on the beach. Difficult to find a spot , even at 10:40 am. Parking is expensive and require walking. Prices coincide with any tourist area down south. Although we had a great day, would probably visit other beaches in the area.

This beach is absolutely beautiful! The sunsets are epic. We enjoyed walking the beach and going to Pier 60.

Me and my family love Clearwater. It’s beautiful, the beach’s are great, and it’s clean. Theres something to do for everyone and the area is lively!

Clearwater Beach was one of the most beautiful beaches we saw during our journey in Florida. The sand was like powder and the beach was so spacious.

What an amazing and beautiful beach. It is one of the most picturesque beaches in the world. The miles of sugar sand and the gentle waves of the gulf make for easy comfortable beach and bathing. They hotels, and beach cafes are wonderful and laid back. An upscale beach town with lots to offer.
Watch out for the clearwater beach police - they are thugs. Big oversized bullies with badges. Thankfully, I didn't have an interaction with them, but just watched as they made everyone around them uncomfortable because they were rude and unkind.

The beach has beautiful white sand. Ample parking space. Lot of excellent bars and restaurants within a walk-able radius.

Beach is beautiful and clear but most of all its calm for children to play and swim. You can see small tour boats. Theres plenty of parking especially if you park behind the buildings. They have showers and portable bathrooms at least on the location I was in. They have chairs and small canopy to rent which is a plus for family members that travel with small children. In conclusion this beach is one of the best and my favorite! You will not regret it the visit.

As a Young Floridian and even as an adult I never cease to be amazed at one of the most beautiful wonders of nature, which are most beaches on the Gulf Coast, but especially that of Clearwater Beach! With almost 35 miles of absolutely flat, white sand along with an amazing endless horizon, it is one of favorite beaches. The fact that the waters are clear and passive, makes for terrific wading, swimming, snorkeling, boating… you name it. And one thing that should not be missed there is the most surreal sunsets anywhere. It’s no wonder top travel publications have awarded Clearwater Beach, there are few like it. I am and always have been infatuated with this beach, but there’s even more. There is so much to do on and off the beach with incredible shops, restaurants and bars, not to mention some incredible hotels and B&Bs! I could go on, but you’d do much better in details if you visit their website. No brag, just fact.

Clearwater is a parking nightmare. BEWARE, parking enforcement wait and watch to give out tickets. I would guess they get bonuses for how many people they get. It's like they hate visitors. They will get you everywhere. Be prepared for parking citations. Not a very friendly place. All the parking people were rude and or indifferent. The beach stinks and was not pleasant. Storms are daily with lots of lightning. There are better places to visit. Won't return.

This is probably the prettiest beach I have visited. It truly is as nice as any beach I have been to in Hawaii. The Gulf is awesome while the white sand beach is perfect. Please come to visit us.

Clearwater was nice, they need to have more live music along Mandaly Bay but otherwise it was nice. The music was not all that. I would go back but only for a weekend not for a whole week.

This beach is huge, with that soft white sand that is so ideal. The water is always warm in the Gulf... sometimes so warm it's hotter than the air which is crazy. Just behind the beach is plenty of resorts, restaurants, bars and shopping. It's an ideal place for relaxing all day, then partying all night.

Clearwater Beach FL is one of the nicest beaches I have visited. The white sand is not hot on your feet and we enjoyed walking the shoreline every morning. Cabanas and chairs are available for rent -or- you can bring your own chairs. Beware that alcohol is not allowed on the beach. Another really nice feature is the the walkway from Pier 60 along the beach. This is a great beach to visit. Also - beautiful sunsets every evening!

I have reviewed Clearwater Beach before, but not since the devastating hurricanes that destroyed the Clearwater area last fall.
This is my favorite beach in the United States, other than Hawaii. I was anxious about visiting because of what I feared I would find and, to some degree, those fears were realized. However, they were also alleviated to some degree. I will explain....
What makes Clearwater Beach special and unique? Incredibly powdery soft sand. Extremely wide and long beach. Pier 60 with its sunset celebration that includes vendors, buskers, food and more. Incredible restaurants all around. Lots of parking. All things considered, it is within a whisper of being perfect.
My visit today was heartwrenching. The hurricanes were four months ago, but Pier 60 is heavily dsmaged and closed. Buskers came, but with less than 15 people on the beach, they left. Only 5 vendors showed up. The snack bar and gift shop were open but rarely did I see a customer wander in.
So why did I give it a 5 star review? Because the signs of rebirth are everywhere. Most of the people we saw were construction woekers. Evidence of restoration projects are everywhere. The kids carnival is open, even though we saw only one child. Clearwater is working gard to come back. And I believe they will. And the main reason? Those incredible sunsets!! The hurricanes could not destroy them. I will post pictures. Definitely worth 5 stars.

We recently spent four days here and stayed about ten minutes from the beach. The sand is very soft and easy to walk in. We would walk over in the morning and enjoy coffee and a roll sitting on our sand towel then spend a couple of hours walking along the shore. We collected a few interesting shells and were able to walk a long distance. We came back in the evening for sunset and more walking.
One day we paid $25 and rented a sturdy umbrella with comfortable chairs in front of the palm pavilion. It was on the north side and less busy than farther south. We'll worth the price. We could safely leave our towels and come and go all day.
In the early morning we saw tractors chopping the small amount of seaweed and the beach seemed very clean. A lot of people were enjoying the water and there were rentals available of paddle boards, kayaks and jet skis.
We ended up spending 80% of our mini vacation here and enjoyed it very much.
We mostly avoided the crowds during the week.

Just came back from Clearwater beach, we stayed 7 days and loved it!! A few days were cool (60’s) but we had 3 awsome warm days and stayed on the beach.

Our hotel valet was backed up. We parked in a lot next door at 405 Coronado Dr.. We were told by the attendant, who was specific on where we should park, that we have until 8AM. I went to the car at 630AM only to find it towed by CREATIONS, who vultures around the beach looking to tow. The tow receipt says 230AM I actually saw them try to tow and UBER with the driver in it the next morning. That cost $170 in itself. I called the police to file a report. The officer said there was nothing they could do. So, get ripped off parking, get ripped off being towed, then get no help from the police. Do yourself a favor. Go to St. Pete beach instead. They're all in on this scam.

Clearwater Beach is so pretty. The sand feels like kinetic sand. The sunset over the water is beautiful. Pier 60 has live entertainment at night as well as different stands to buy souvenirs from.

Incredible place, extremely transparent, warm waters with few waves, great for swimming in the sea with children, there is a chair and umbrella rental service.

Water is blue and sand is powdery white and soft… one of the best beaches …kids were busy playing in sand, we had to pull them out of the beach and drag back… quite good experience.. the softest white sand I had ever seen with great water that was calm ….the only thing that pinched was that we got so engrossed at the beach that we forgot to enhance time of our parking ticket... I will give more marks to this beach than Miami Beach. It is surely a stop not to be missed and highly recommended for anyone visiting Florida.

Gorgeous white, sugar sand beach! It is clean and family friendly! We just discovered it last year and had to come back this year for some more Clearwater magic! Happy it is just like we remembered it.

We were visiting family in area before going on a cruise out of port canaveral. Went to this beach first time. Had a great time. Beach is very nice. We needed a handicap beach chair and was able to find and rent one. That worked really well. My wife was able to ro get across the sand easily and went right up and stayed right at the edge of water. There are a number of restaurants and some shops along the beach as well. We parked in a parking deck a block off beach. Was well worth the visit.

Really good family beach, white sand, beautiful water. Nice pier area, kids slides, plenty of shopping. Parking lot available, it does get crowded. Beautiful sunset, water is clean.

I enjoyed every minute of it especially the tour guide Luiz. He was very kind and generous with his time. He also offered snacks on the way to the beach and back. He took his time to explain what was going on. I will definitely recommend this day trip.

Great clean beach, lots to do! Water very warm in the summer. You can see manatees and dolphins often. Lots of great places to eat. Just beware of Clearwater PD! They are dirty and will make up charges to get you in trouble! Especially speed coming off the intercoastal bridge, east bound, into downtown Clearwater! The speed changes rapidly from 45 - 35- 30. Be careful, as the Clearwater PD will falsify your speed to make money for the city and get a promotion! They play dirty, so be on the lookout!

Always love Clearwater.
Signs of work at beach which is to be expected in January getting ready for peak summer.
No complaints. Shops, food, beach.
Loungers and wind breakers to hire. Fun couple of hours.
Again the sand is amazing

Went to clear water beach with my 6 kids of age 2-15 so far two times . Def the best decision we did . The sand was white and clean . Water was clear the day we went and very calm. The other day we went the water was Alittle colored and lots of strong waves so I guess you pick and choose the day lol. Both days we experience were great. Bathrooms are accessible and parking is good . We got there both times around 3-4pm and found parking within 15–20 mins . Parking was for us from 3pm-night $22 . They charge $3 per hour . I advise to stay for the sunset for it’s the most beautiful I’ve ever seen ! I advise to maybe go to the end of the pier for the sunset or even on beach is ok but it gets VERYYYY crowded. The sunset is right over the water . After 7pm ish I see they have vendors down the pier to sell things like items . The two times I went we didn’t experience any problems with what the other reviews talk about . Just FYI we drove from Orlando and hit 2 heavy traffics so took us on a Friday 2 hours and 30 mins to get there we left Orlando at 130pm . I advise to stay for the sunset so worth it !!! Expect a lot of people !!!

So I am not sure why ppl lie unless this is a May thing.
The water is murky, NOT clear! Full of seaweed!
It is also feezing cold and smells horrible. Rocks and broken shells everywhere.
Need water shoes to go walk by the water. Once you do, beware you will stink like seaweed and rotten fish. Good luck washing it off. There are issues with water pipes.
Do yourself a favour and go to Miami or Daytona. Yes, the sand is hot there but it is soft and water is beautiful, clear, warm and smells clean.
Good luck if you already booked.

This beach has something for everyone. We came for spring break and despite the water still being too chilly for most of our group no one was ever bored. There are so many shells, sand-dollars come in by the 100’s in the evenings. We walked to the end of the beach and found untouched beach with mangroves. The sunsets are incredible. We were able to snorkel on a couple calm days right off of the beach. We saw lots of dolphins. We definitely plan to come back when the water is warmer.

North beach is just perfect. Drive as far north as you can and then walk. You could find the whole beach to yourself. Beautiful white sand, gentle lapping of the ocean and watching the pelicans diving for food as the dolphins cruise past. Bliss

This is my favorite beach. White sand in September felt good not hot. Gulf was amazing. It rained in the evening during Labor Day week. It gave plenty of time in the morning for beach time. Labor Day week was definitely less people. Very aggressive birds if you bring food.

Great trip for all. Totally recommend this trip and Shawna the driver/ guide was great. The place is beautiful and the beach was clean. Holiday makers were friendly and food at the Salty Crab was fantastic.

Traffic and parking are so horrible it is not worth going for a day.
Yesterday I could not find parking and turned around and left.
The city planners should be ashamed of themselves.

This is a world class white sand beach. Really long and wide plenty of space even if it’s crowded. There’s lots to do just a few minutes from the beach, including pier 60, shops, restaurants, etc.
The traffic getting there is not great, as there’s only one way in Clearwater Beach, and parking can be hard to find. That said, this is a really great place to vacation. Just big enough to have things to do, small enough that it’s not overrun. Unfortunately, things in Clearwater have gotten very expensive, including food, and especially things like jet, skis, kayaks, and parasailing.
The best thing is the amazing sunset over the gulf waters!

Clearwater Beach is the best beach for families in Florida, super safe and great food and lots of activities for the whole family!

One of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Florida. It’s a lovely wide beach to walk- with plenty of restaurants, shops, and hotels right on the beach. Clearwater is a charming beach town.

Awesome Beach Town . White sand .water temps in mid 80's that's clear. Take a long walk on the beach. No car needed. Walk to possibly 50 restaurants? Unwind. Walk to boat rides, dolphin encounters, fishing. Sing the Surfside jingle. Pier 60 is ok. Great for families. It's about the beach

The beach is great, beautiful area, parking is not bad. The only issue was there are no baby changing stations in the bathroom which makes it very difficult for families with small baby's. Changing him in the beach won't work due to the sand so I had to change him in the back seat of my car.

Very disappointed, after visiting this so-called most beautiful beach in the United States. Already I find it not very pretty environment with buildings around. Then it must be specified that for three months, the water is cloudy like mud because of the strong heat and humidity and plankton, which is in the water, conclusion, we do not even see its feet, it is really not at all pleasant and far from the turquoise waters that we can see in Miami or in the Caribbean

Very clean Beach! Safe and clean. The sand is so fine it is so soft! Did some shelling and “swam” with dolphins and manatee! Fun experience!

Wondferful beach, crystal clear water and nice amenities close to pier 60. Lots of restaurants, parking hard to find and lots of traffic so give plenty of time to get in and out of this area

One of the best beach I've visited. Area is super clean. Only issue I had was finding parking space since since I visited during peak season.

This beach is the most beautiful beach I have seen in Florida so far. The sand is white and well groomed. Trash is picked up. No sign of it at all.
We definitely will be back!

Having visited Clearwater Beach many times over the past 35 years, a recent visit after nearly 20 years was disappointing to say the least. All the character of the resort has been lost. High rise hotel chains dominate the beach front and block the rest of the resort. The price of restaurants (more chains) and bars is eyewatering. Obviously the beach is still beautiful, but crowded. One noticeable thing missing is the wildlife - very few birds have braved the concrete jungle. Such a shame. A trip further down the coast to St Pete's Beach - hardly changed at all. Leave Clearwater to the rich.

Great beach not too crowded. Many places to walk around and see. Love the beach view restaurants next to boardwalk.

Its is actually a beautiful beach and I love the area.. Other than my horrible stay at the hotel I thought this was a great experience.. Lots of great restaurants on the beach too.

Nice place but i could have a peace of mind there, so crowed, expensive, couldn't find any parking for 2 hours and the will give you a ticket for parking just for a few minutes. The are plenty of out beautiful places with none of that.

What a spectacular place for a sunset !! White powder-like sand. Very soft. Walking the pier with ice cream is an adventure in itself. Cover ur cone, or a bird will swoop in and snatch like one did to me. This is a beautiful beach worthy of a weekend getaway !!

This was our first time coming to Clearwater, been all over the rest of Florida. By far, this is the most beautiful area. The white sand beaches are beautiful. On Clearwater beach there are many hotels, quality restaurants and shops. The walkway along the beach is clean and winding, lots of crosswalks to make this pedestrian friendly. Pier 60 is a nice area you can walk out on the pier. We’ve found traffic in most parts of Florida to be very busy, here you can stay and don’t really need to drive anywhere. If you do need to go into town, it’s pretty easy to get out of the area by car. Everything is down within walking distance in this area. The nicest part of all this is how clean and safe this area feels, we would go for morning and dusk walks, lots of people, families, couples etc. We had a great holiday here and will definitely be back.

We loved Clearwater, its city, its trolleys and its beautiful beaches. We enjoyed walking along the beach collecting shells. There is a super cute pier where you can go to the point and watch the dolphins jumping along the side of the boats. You can also watch the pelicans fishing or take photos of them when they perch on the railings. There are many options for nighttime activity such as pubs and bars. We would definitely return.

This beach is beautiful, great white sand, close to many places to eat and souvenir shop and the pier. Parking is handy when you get there early enough so don't delay when going down for sunset.

This is by far the worst beach we went to in Florida! Overcrowded and overpriced for everything! I would just go down the road 10 or 15 miles and all the beaches that way are 100% better!

The city is definitely in its re-beautification era. All the major hotels and restaurants are open. The beach is as beautiful as ever. 5+++ can’t wait to go back again next year. Saw several dolphins while relaxing in the warm Gulf water. The beach really crowded on the weekends so prepare for that. Ive left reviews for this beach before but it was especially important to do so after the storms.

Trash everywhere on the sand. It's a nice and cheap place. I would recommend if you don't have extra cash for Miami Beach.

Very long, deep beach with sand that seems to be made of talc.
Needless to say, you can't not go right away. There are numerous paid parking lots nearby as there are numerous refreshment points for a quick lunch / dinner / aperitif. The beach is nothing short of deep and really long. Go there and you won't regret it

We love Clearwater Beach. It is a nice, deep beach with plenty of soft, smooth sand. The gulf waters are very gentle and clear. This is a wonderful beach to visit!

Not much can be said that hasn’t been said but beach is SO clean - they clean it daily - sand is the softest I’ve felt - like baby powder - and doesn’t get hot. We had waves one day and no waves the next. Had a great time.
Would highly recommend visiting the Clearwater beach rec center - they have a pool with a slide and basketball hoop for just $5 a day, They have three tennis courts- basketball courts and Pickleball courts and you can borrow paddles and nets. So friendly and clean.

Talcum-like sand, short walk to water, fyi- $35/day- chairs & umbrella, $45/ day for cabana & 2 chairs; set up about 8 am, lifeguards walk around to collect $, take down about 5pm, across from the Hyatt is a snack stand & bathrooms, area to wash feet

Hurricanes Helene and Milton have impacted major damage on Clearwater Beach, Pier 60, some restaurants, shops, and hotels. Many hotels are open but Gulfview Motel on the Beach is currently closed awaiting reparations. Other closed stores include Pelican Pointe, Waves, and both Celebrity stores. The Sandal factory is now out of business. The shops in the first floor of the Hyatt on the Beach are boarded up. Two of the local Frenchy's beach group restaurants are boarded up for now: Frenchy's Off the Hook, and Frenchy's Cafe. The many eateries that are open display huge OPEN banners. Street parking is open, but the machines are down and payment is via app only. The main public beach parking lot is completely destroyed. One small area of the beach is open with beach umbrellas for rent, but most of the beach is closed, in restoration process. The public concession stand is severely damaged. The area near the entrance to Pier 60 and the playground is open, but teh Pier is closed. Even though several stores and eateries are closed, people are out enjoying the open areas. Debris has been piled up out of main streets, making it easy to walk and enjoy the places that are open. This is a good time to visit Clearwater Beach with fewer people and a more relaxed vibe, part of the beach open as are many hotels and places to enjoy.

The sand is a dazzling white. Too bad that, like almost all Florida beaches, it is surrounded by an endless array of hotels

Great beach. Clean beach.
Friendly people
Just not enough parking
There are lots of parking lots but hard to ever find a spot

Stayed at the Gulfview, which is very good, staff is friendly, location excellent. Only thing is the place is a little old, but who stays in their room?? Pool and hot tub is a bonus.
Blinkers steak house was FANTASTIC! Food was ahhh amazing, all the staff was friendly and personable.( Btw it's not a beach
Clear Sky Cafe is rated as #1 for brunch for a good reason- highly recommended!!

We go to Clearwater beach several times a year...but we get
there around 9am for better parking options..also handicapped parking is free with placard or license plate for handicapped..
Beach is always clean..lots to do in the beach area .

Best beach town I’ve ever been to. I’m ready to forgo all other vacations to repeat this one over and over again! Everything is in walking distance, beaches are big and beautiful, nothing was overly expensive.

Thé beach was beautiful, clean and full of amazing shells. You are able to rent water sports equipment on the beach or cabanas from the hotel that backs onto the beach .

If you like extreme heat and humidity, July is definitely the time to visit lol. It was entirely too hot for me to enjoy the beach and on the weekends it was WAY more packed than I was when I visited in February.
The beach is beautiful as ever, but one thing I did notice that I wasn’t a fan of is it’s COVERED in trash and tons of homeless people sleeping on the beach. This wasn’t the case when I came back in February.
If you visit during the weekend try to get there early because parking is horrible (I stayed at a hotel within walking distance) and plan on sitting next to someone. I walked all of Clearwater beach up to North Beach and it was completely packed.

Clearwater Beach is top rated beach in my book That's why I moved here!! Sugar sand, clean and safe. Parking in Clearwater isn't free and hard to come by - this is the only negative!

If you’re staying in a hotel or condo on the beach, it’s great. Otherwise, if you are required to drive and park at Clearwater Beach, it’s aggravating. It’s extremely crowded all the time.

My favorite beach. Just a wonderful place to be. So much to do and see. Beautiful white sand, clearwater and warm water. What more could you ask for. Just ❤️ it

I was very impressed with the area even during Spring Break. It was polar opposite of what I’ve experienced at Panama City.
The Police in Panama City are mean and aggressive and initiate conflict with tourists.
The crowd in Clearwater was very friendly and family oriented and there seemed to be zero need for additional law enforcement.
The beaches were pristine and the water was so perfect. There were a lot of shells for collecting.
I saw quite a few birds but very little marine life actually around the beach. I’m sure that is due to the chaos in the water from so many guests. Further out on the pier people were catching fish.
They had a very nice set up on the beach with large inflatables for the kids.
The best surprise for me was that even during Spring Break and on a weekend the traffic was very manageable: In the past at Myrtle Beach and PCB etc the strip takes an hour to traverse. Here it was very fluid and the delay on my GPS said about 6 minutes delay.
Parking was a little tricky so we paid $20 to park near the beach in a hotel.

My family and I spent 2 days at this beautiful beach. The powdery white sand is awesome. It's very clean and lots of space to relax and take in the sights.

A long, beautiful beach with a fishing pier, lots of restaurants, hotels everywhere. A great place to spend the day walking and hanging out on the beach.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites and loved the view. The beach is below you and oversees the harbor and Gulf. Lots of beach to walk on and lots of shops and restaurants along Gulf Blvd.

Easily one of the best beaches we’ve been to. The sand is cool and soft. The water was pretty clear and warm with relatively calm waves. We even saw some fish swimming near the shore with our naked eye.

Clearwater Beach has clear, beautiful white sands, perfect for a day at the beach. There are plenty of seating options along the beach. However, if you stay more than two days, buying beach chairs at Surf Style is cheaper, whether you can take them home or leave them at the hotel. Make sure you get there early to get a good seating location. Food options are also decent - there is pizza, burgers, and ice cream all close by. The beaches close by are also worth a side or day trip. If you come to Clearwater and don't go to the beach, why are you even there?

Great Sandy beach - not a lot sea shells, but that makes it easier in the feet. There were tents with lounge chairs available. Great for sand castle building. Beach was great!!! We stayed about 3 blocks off the beach. There was two shootings at night on Main Street during the week we visited, one deadly. I believe it was gang related, but beware at night. Would hesitate taking family back. Plenty of police patrol.

Another beautiful Florida beach featuring the glistening white sands and warm waters of the gulf. Clearwater is the big TOURIST BEACH in the area and almost impossible to visit on the weekend, even an overcast Sunday in May; it was impossible to find public parking spot within a two mile radius of the beach. So we returned on Tuesday— and found a dip in the shoreline to sun and take in the scenery and reduce the high winds. It was impossible even to wade in the choppy waters this time. Most people aren’t aware of how common riptides are in the gulf— I recommend you watch your swimmers closely and always swim near a lifeguard station. There are a lot more shells in the sand than Pensacola Beach which can be uncomfortable getting back onshore.

The environment was amazing‼️ Extremely clean beach‼️ Everyone was just enjoying the white sand and the clear and perfect temperature water‼️

The combination of sun clear waters and the white sands make this beach one of the best if not the best in the world we enjoyed it very much much

Awesome and clean/clear beach! A must see! Only beach I’ve ever seen better is Bahamas and Anna Maria. Loved the soft sand and clear waters. Can’t beat it.

Stayed at dockside met one of the owners she was nice. Upon entering the condo it smelled musty as though no one had stayed there for some time. No problem we opened windows and doors. I cleaned the kitchen and the condo. There were roach motels everywhere I was worried so I cleaned more. The night before we were to leave we forgot to put our car sign in the window of our car 10 minutes we went down to do so and the car was towed. 170 dollars later and cab fee we got our car back. Constant noise from construction throughout the day also road noise no quiet time. Staycation is my recommendation.

Excellent place for family with young kids (like mine). White sand beaches with shallow depths and warm water. Big drawback is the lack of parking.

We went to visit Clearwater beach and it really is a spectacular place, very clean beach, fine, very white sand, a long strip of sand, calm sea, everything very organized, you can see many shells in the strip closest to the water, which shows the richness of marine life and water quality. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.

We attended the Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival 2022. The sand sculptures were so detailed and lifelike. If you have the opportunity to attend, then do so. Adults are $12 for entrance to this most amazing display of sand art.

Beautiful beach. Lots and lots of people which is to be expected because it is Spring Break. Traffic was not as bad as I have seen it here. Parking was available, just be prepared to walk several blocks.

Great beach, family friendly & safe. Water was beautiful beach was clean. I enjoyed all the people out and about at sunset and later enjoying an evening on the beach

We stayed n a lovely condo with our own pool and beachfront on Gulf Blvd a mile or two south of Clearwater Beach. We went over the bridge to Clearwater Beach area three times: once for Publix run, once for dinner and another time to attempt to go to dinner. So done with that zoo! We ended up coming back and eating at a great place in Indian Rocks. As noted in other reviews the congestion, no parking and a gazillion people make ClearwaterBeach a no go for us. We located a Publix and restaurants south of us that avoid all this craziness. We love the area where we’re staying but they can keep Clearwater Beach.

It is a great beach, white sand and warm water, are the best. The people are very friendly and the places to eat and drink some cocktails are spectacular!! Highly recommended.

The beach is very nice, and the available accommodations are very nice alongside the beach. The water was perfect. The people there are very welcoming and nice, and there is also good fish. There are nice restaurants around the area that specialize in serving seafood, such as fried shrimp and well seasoned crab.
My favorite part of the beach was being able to catch crabs, whether they're walking along the shore or hiding in holes.

The most soft, warm sand with clear warm waters that stretch for miles… just the perfect beach retreat.
Expensive parking…. Hotels are generally well located and good choices of restaurant options

The beach itself is very beautiful, but it was so so crowded. The water was actually HOT, like a drawn bath. To rent chairs it will cost you about $50 for the day. To park, about $40. Too many people for me, and too many high rises on the water. Not exactly the vibe I was going for, but its somebodies vibe because it was as crowded as can be. We took a lot of day trips to other areas but they were crowded too. Its also hotter than the surface of the sun. if you like being creamated, you will like Florida in July.

Though lots and lots of intermittent torrential downpours, the beach was amazing. Weather was decent and not too much traffic.

The ride up to Clearwater was beautiful. My family enjoyed looking at the scenery while traveling up there. We made it to Shephard’s beach resort and use there valet parking which cost $10 all day that was definitely a plus. Then we walk to the beach which was behind the resort and it was breathtaking. They had a live band, they had tiki bars and plenty of places to sit. My kids love the water it was clean and not cold it was perfect. They also have jet skis that can be rented my family also enjoy them it was great!

Predatory pricing -- bring lots of money or go elsewhere. Clearwater charges extortionate fees to park anywhere on Clearwater Beach. The beach is public below the mean high water line, but Clearwater has made it impossible to get there without spending $20 to park. People tend to stay on the stretch near the hotels in the middle to south of the island, but the best beach is towards the north and on Caladesi Island State Park (now no longer an island, but conjoined with and accessible from Clearwater Beach) -- the City eliminated all public parking from the north end of Clearwater Beach at the behest of the rich property owners there years ago. The beach is obsessively patrolled by police tearing around in ATVs (you may not operate there). Yes, if your idea of a good time is being fleeced for the privilege of plopping down in the sand under the watchful gaze of many cops, Clearwater Beach is the place to go!

I would visit this beach again, it's clean and there's so much to do here. I loved it and had fun all through

The sand is a fine, white color. The beach is wide and the water nice for Gulf. Nice and long for good walk or run. The one thing that surprised me is that the sand was packed down on most of the beach. I look forward to squishing my toes in the sand and found this part a little disappointing. Didn't expect that! But still a nice solid beach with lots of amenities along it.

Clearwater Beach once a pearl among the most beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast, which was known for its legendary sunsets! Meanwhile, almost everything on the seafront has been demolished and replaced by large hotels, parking garages and other concrete blocks. The place is literally bursting at the seams, reaching the limits of its capacity! On weekends there are regular long car queues that torment back to the beach and evening. Those who are lucky even get an overpriced parking space! Within the week there is normalcy again and sometimes you can still guess old charm of this golf region !

Lived the extra wide and white sandy beaches in Clearwater. Busy but not too crowded with lots of room for kids to run around and multiple showers located near parking to keep the sand out of your car.

Excellent destination!!! Great weather, lots to do, many great hotel options, white sand beach is so beautiful. Lots of restaurants and retail all around the beach. Many options for various levels of activity - as desired, something for everyone.

Clearwater Beach is known for its white sand. It's much whiter, softer and finer than normal sand and, incredibly, doesn't get as hot as normal sand and you can walk on it with bare feet. The sea is blissfully warm and the views are great. It was much busier than I had expected and there was quite a lot of noise (cars revving, music, people) but that's kind of expected. There are quite a lot of people on the beach and you have to pay $20 for a sun lounger. Facilities (restrooms and showers for feet) are plentiful. Unfortunately the pier was closed for refurbishment.

At least 80% of sandy beach area is consumed by permanent rental cabanas and umbrellas. This should not be on a public beach. Never saw this anywhere else. City management is to blame. Little to no beach by waters edge is open. Behind the cabanas you can’t see the water. Never coming back here.

Wonderful beach with food options nearby. There is a bathroom also. Parking is challenging so go early. This beach is very built up compared to when I first started coming here in the 90s so be prepared to be surrounded by people. The beach is still clear, except after storms where sediment then moves around until it settles again. They do their best to keep up with erosion. However, one of my friends who lives here says that after Hurricane Milton did a lot of damage. My advice would be to check google maps and also ask people who live there before you go whether the area of your choice has been rebuilt yet. Some areas take longer than others. Just keep this in mind. The sand is pleasant to step on. You can see wildlife, sometimes dolphins and beautiful are the sunsets.

Thanks to Southwest Airlines, our flight on 29 Dec 22 was cancelled, thus we didn't travel to Clearwater. We had a non-refundable New Year's Eve dinner cruise booked on Starlite Cruises, a reservation at the Wyndam Hotel and a rental car with Budget.
As soon as I knew we weren't going to going I began canceling reservations. Through texting I was able to let Wyndam know about the situation, and a kind rep took care of canceling our reservation. Fortunately we still safe from paying a penalty, but I appreciated the customer service I received from them. I cancelled the rental on line, knowing I would have a $50 cancelation fee on my pre-paid car. I was pleasantly surprised to see my payment, minus $50 promptly refunded to my account, as well a subsequent refund of the $50!! So nothing lost there.
Finally, Starlite Cruises. I had emailed them to cancel, so our spots could be used by someone else. Was aware of the no refund policy, but explained why we had to cancel. The next day I received a call from a very nice woman. She told me my $440 was going to be refunded! I was so thankful, as that's a significant amount of money to lose. I will absolutely give all three agencies my business when we reschedule a trip to Clearwater.
As for Southwest, they have reached out to refund tickets and give bonus points. They really screwed up, it was the perfect storm, but I'll still fly with them. Look forward to visiting when my husband gets past knee surgery!

A beautiful place to visit and in which to enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches and crystalline and very warm sea ... a stop not to be missed and highly recommended for anyone visiting Florida.

What a wonderful stretch of fine sugar beaches.
All the beauty of Miami Beach without the trash people on the beach ruin it for everybody else.
The beaches were clean folks were truly nice and the beautiful Boardwalk.
Plenty of nice restaurants close by.
Well worth your time

I have visited Clearwater beach several times for vacation but this was our first time staying at the Springhill Suites. This was the best experience that we have had based on their professional and courteous staff. Our housekeeper Margarita was outstanding!

Beautiful white sand back with all kinds of activities. Plenty of different restaurants and shops along the road.

We have stayed in Clearwater Beach for the last few years during the month of March for the Phillies Spring Training, renting a 3 bedroom condo and having numerous family members visit throughout the month; unfortunately this will be our last.
Overdevelopment: We stay at the South Beach where 1 new large hotel has gone up (AC Marriott), and 2 new large ones are under construction, 1 being 15 stories. This will not only block views of the Gulf unless staying at these hotels and it will flood the area with around thousand people and cars, in to what is already a congested beach. Walkway right at the beach between 2 construction sites is narrow and unlit at night.
Beach: has been overrun with cabanas and umbrellas (pictures attached). They take up the majority of the beach space, leaving little beach in the front or way in the back to place personal chairs and umbrellas. The cabanas are set up every morning whether rented or not. To enjoy the beach you have to get there early to claim space or rent, which is not conducive for lengthy rentals.
Security: Spring Break has gotten rowdier, including a shooting at Surf Style where someone was killed. I have witnessed scenes of rowdiness all along the beach without a Police Officer in sight. I am sure the Police are doing their best, but I don’t understand why there is not a physical police presence walking around or on bikes. We did not feel comfortable numerous times just walking around.
I understand that the development and beach utilization falls under their financially driven business plan, but Clearwater Beach has lost their direction as a family friendly location. I can no longer recommend it as a 'go to' beach.
If I come back to the area I’m moving on to a different beach.

What a beautiful place to spend your holiday. Beautiful beach, nice boulevard and beautiful sunset! This is the place to go when you visit Florida!

I visited Clearwater Beach with my young adult daughter in April 24. Overall it was a great trip. It was a bit larger and more city like than I had anticipated. Going to the beach and eating are definitely the main attractions. Which we were fine with as we wanted a low key relaxing vacation. There are tons of restaurants- varying in price and cuisine. Every meal we had was delicious. I heard the Aquarium is very nice but did not go. Walking around Pier 60 was fun as was the sandcastle display. There are stores along the main drag, mostly surf shops and a few nicer ones. We stayed at the northern end of the beach which was quieter than the main hotel district. We had decided to rent a car as we flew into Tampa and didn’t want to deal with Uber etc. I’m glad we did as some of the restaurants we went to would have been a hike. Clearwater Beach is said to be “walkable” which it is if you want to stay in one area. We enjoyed the freedom of having a car as well. One of the days was misty and cloudy so we went exploring down to Madeira Beach ( St John’s Pass was awesome) and St Pete Beach ( Clearwater Beach is the winner hands down) . Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future.

The beach is beautiful! Pure white sugar sand, well maintained and with great places to clean off. There are small cabanas you can rent for shade which is great. There are a ton of shells on this beach.

Beautiful beaches and excellent restaurants and bars. Frenchy's blackened grouper sandwich was delectable.

Magical, a dream place with white sand as flour, clear and hot water, very hot. Sunsets are beautiful, amazing... shops quite expensive and hard to find to get food for affordable prices

The sunsets are picture perfect... Plenty of space on the beach so there’s not much crowding. Parking isn’t great. Avoid the main road in peak season

Every morning chairs were set out and all was ready to go for each day. The boardwalk was beautiful as well.

Loved this beach. Not busy, lots of chair rentals available. Loads of shells to collect! Nothing like sand under foot and those soothing ocean sounds!

I've never been on a beach with such beautiful, pure white, soft sand. The whole beach front and promenade was immaculately clean including the public restrooms. Fantastic day out. Apparently the sunsets are spectacular but it clouded over sadly so we missed out on that but had a walk along Pier 60 looking at the craft stalls.

One of the best beaches in the States with super soft sand and warm water. Hire 2 sunbeds with umbrella for $40 which is a little pricey but needed.

It’s so so so beautiful and serene and hectic at the same time. There was restaurants, tours, benches, stores, and shops. I recommend it.

Absolutely stunning beach! You can take your own or rent chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable price and enjoy all day!

Went to Clearwater November 9th for business. Not a good place to visit anytime soon. They were hit hard with the hurricanes. Places are rushing to get back opened, so they are doing a poor job of rebuild. Some restaurants that were opened smelled like mildew and mold inside, definitely trying to cover smell with air freshener. Places in higher levels that are open, were able because their kitchens were on 2nd or higher floors. However, these places are short staffed and take well over an hour just to get a drink. Since food options are limited this is where the few travelers go to eat. Watching the beach sand get sifted , I couldn’t believe the amount of debris coming out. Sidewalks pretty much have everyone’s inside of their home out on the sidewalk. I was there three days and never saw one cleanup crew removing the bulk pickups. Lots of construction going on, so if your looking to relax in peace and quite this is not the place. Street lights are laying on the ground and pitch black at night walking around. Feels like a war zone. Very sad.

I really liked our travel agent Bonni she was so helpful! We learned so much about Clearwater beach and many other places and events in Florida

We were here 3rd/4th July and surprised how lovely it was. It was not that crowded and I loved Frenchie's on the beach plus the ice cream place.
I do recommend getting a place on the beach or walking distance. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn a block away. It is more pricy but sooo worth it. You can walk to the beach and the restaurants/shops nearby.
The beach itself is fabulous. My kids were so impressed.

the softest white sand around with great water that was calm enough to get in. Parking was available and we had a handicap tag so parking was free.

After storm deby, the beach was a mess. It was NOT at all a CLEAR water beach but a very dirty beach. All the showers were drowned in water. It was a first time experience and a horrible one. We drove from Tennessee to Florida for it.

This is such a nice beach! We went just for a couple hours, but we enjoyed them. The sand is nice and the waves were moderate. The only thing is, that the beach is very crowded. So if you go on a week day you might have better luck finding a spot.

Wonderful beach white sand a.Pier wonderful that you can take several photos and see from the sun.
Sea sweet beautiful promenade wonderful for walking.
Several restaurants bathrooms on the beach.
There are several activities during the day .val a.pena enjoy a beach there.

Beautiful beach, white sand, warm water. Beautiful hotels on beach but walkways on every street to beach. Not enough public bathrooms. Lots of private hotel beach areas. Touristy stores on street. Carnival on main Street park. I'm sure the Hotels on beach are pricey.

Don't forget to see Pier 60 for the sunset and vendors and playground. And use the Jolly Trolley - extremely reasonable to use for the entire day.

This was our second trip to Clearwater Beach. We were short on time on our first trip, so spent a full day this trip. The beach is absolutely amazing. Long, wide, and powdered sugar type sand. Fantastic. The water is beautiful and outstanding.
Pier 60 at the beach is the scene of nightly sunset celebrations with vendors, artisans, food, attractions, and a kiddie park with inflatables and a playground. There are also street performers. Tons of fun! Oh, and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
There are several great restaurants only steps from the beach, as well as lots of shopping. The only down side to this beach and area is a severe lack of adequate parking.

Always amazing at Clearwater Beach. If you want the Caribbean feel without the hassle go here. This is our second year going to Clearwater Beach and we absolutly love it.

The sand is very soft and the water is clean and cool. Fun area to walk around with many bars and restaurants. It was very busy at the end of July. Plenty of public parking as well. Great for families and couples!

We always make a stop to Clearwater beach when visiting the Florida Gulf Coast. It's one of my favorite beaches around.

As far as beaches go, Clearwater ranks bottom on my list of ones to visit.
The place is always crowded and full of noises kids who leave their garbage everywhere. The pier is short and not very much room for fishing. Plus they charge a lot more than any other pier I've fished from, that's why I didn't stay there.
The shells are mostly broken and not much variety.
I would pick honeymoon island state park, Destin, Appalachia cola, Walton, Navarre, gulf shores, Perdido key. Just to name a few that are miles above Clearwater.
The only good thing was the pirate ship we saw.

Upscale beach vibe. Very popular and busy with many hotels and restaurants. Large, white sand beaches heavily touristed. Traffic. Parking can be an issue especially on weekends. Lots of activity on the beach. Go early! If you are looking for a secluded spot maybe try a different beach either north or south of Clearwater.

Plenty of chairs available for rent. Large, white sand beach. Great for walking, swimming, and just laying on the beach. Plenty of activities available for a price all along the beach (wave runners, kayaks, paddle boards, etc).

Very busy but clean nice options for food. Great spot for a vacation. I like how easy it is to drive around to the local areas.

White sands' sail boats and beautiful blue gulf coast. a tropical experience. Love it. So nice we will be moving there.

The beach is very clean and well groomed but the water is far from clear. You can barely see 2 feet in front of you. Also there are a lot of broken shells on the beach. Wear footwear or tread lightly. The beach is very crowded so you have to go early if you want a place to sit. There are better beaches that are not as overpriced.

Clean waters, beautiful! We could see dolphins.
And a busier beach. I went on a Tuesday and it wasn't even Spring Break anymore and the beach was full.
But it's really worth knowing

Beautiful! Clear water and our kids had an amazing time! Make sure to take your sunblock and beach umbrella or canopy for shade. Overall great beach time!

During our Orlando holiday we drove here for the day to escape the theme parks. We arrived about 10am. (Over 2 hour drive, problems at Tampa) We parked easily next to Pier 60 which is very central and got a lot more busy within a couple of hours. Parking from 10-8pm cost around $30 which is pretty standard around here. We hired a couple of beds with an umbrella ($35 until 5pm)
There’s a lot of shops, restaurants and hotels around.
Beach was immaculate and lifeguards are all along the beach. It felt quite safe and well maintained we found great places for both breakfast and evening meals.
There is a great feel around the early evening and a fantastic sunset.
I would recommend and will visit again maybe staying overnight to break up the driving.

One should enjoy the atmosphere. Kick back and put your toes in the white sand or take a dip into the clear water. Also, a true must: take a jet ski tour on one of the many companies that offer the service.

Honestly, it's one of the best beaches if you want to just chill and swim. It's very relaxing and you can enjoy many benefits. The sand is soft and the water is clean. Look forward to it everytime I go to Florida

worst place ever silver sand resort clear water beach fl no one there to assist you no one to answer the phone tried to cancel no contact person to talk to very poor management I would not recommend this place to any one stay away pay a little more you,ll have a much better time it took me less than 10 to tell myself im not staying here

Loved this beach! Took my grandson who is 7 for a mini getaway before school started back. Clean water…queasy to find space and we even found parking for $24 for the day with access directly to the beach!

The beach is nice, the family atmosphere is great and all but these rich stiffs don't know how to party. No dancing places anywhere in Clearwater and all there is to do is shop, eat and lay around at the beach. Holy he'll you bunch of rich idiots don't have a clue what life is about.

Mandalay Avenue area. We visited Hogan’s store. Easy parking. Short walk to the beach for beautiful sunsets. Restaurant food from Hogan’s Hangout was so Delicious (we got a chicken quesadilla and the mozzarella sticks which were to die for) great family time pictures. The water was so warm that we stayed until late in the day. Just watch out for the seagulls who are stealthy creatures who seem to recognize the good smelling food from the Hangout.

As a wedding planner for Cherished Ceremonies Weddings , I can review this beach from my own perspective. Clearwater Beach is a busy beach, lots of hotels and attractions, lots of things to do. As far as hosting a beach wedding on this beach, they allow 6 specific spots where you can celebrate your beach wedding. There are two spots that we favor because it is away form the main crowd, a little more secluded at sunset, and any size beach wedding can be hosted here.

It helped that we had perfect weather but the beach and whole walking path was so perfect! We always felt safe, there was plenty of beach to lounge with a beach towel and it was so enjoyable to watch everyone having a good time.

A picture book beach - fine, white powder sand, very wide, with plenty of space even for larger amounts of sun-hungry. We were traveling with beach towels, but it is also possible to rent umbrellas and loungers. Right behind the front row hotels are cafes, restaurants and shops to round off the beach day perfectly. Pure holiday feeling!

Beautiful beach, very wide. Lots of space, but fairly busy and party crowd. We had a wonderful time enjoying the beach and the gulf water. Parking is REAL expensive so looks around. The day at the beach was wonderful and packed with people having great times. we will return

Well, if it wasn’t for the Florida rain we would have had a perfect day!! We got a coach here from Orlando - it’s a long way (2 hours) - and the main reason was the beach and the dolphin boat. (Turns out we got closer to dolphins at Discovery Cove). The boat trip in the Gulf of Mexico was great though, a chance to sit down, get some cool breeze and relax. We did see dolphins swimming in the wake and got to nosy some amazing houses along the coast. The captain and mate were very friendly. However, when we arrived back at the beach, we chose some deckchairs and lets just say it’s a good job no-one ever arrived asking for payment! I’d say we got 30 mins sitting in the sun before it lashed it down and didn’t stop for an hour when we had to get back in the coach. The beach is beautiful. White sand as far as the eye can see, warm water which stayed warm when raining and some lovely shops and cafes. Just be prepared for it not to be 100% sunny on your visit!

Love Clearwater, has so much for everyone. Went to the theater on Thursday. Diana Ross and her daughter was wonderful. Its so easy to get to.Clearsky restaurant.. love downtown.

Not very much to so with kids, nothing for kids....just an old park dirty and updated. Prepare to spend from the moment you park(min $30) , beach chair $45/day, not mentioning the fact that they kick you out at 5 pm... not mentioning this in the begining...), water is not as clear as the name , full of algae and muddy. Better value elsewhere and not wort the trip if traveling with kids.

My husband and I went to Clearwater Beach for a few. Unfortunately, we forgot it was spring break and found it to be extremely crowded. The beach is beautiful and the water is clear. The parking is very limited especially for the handicapped. We will go back making sure it’s not spring break!

We have never been to the Tampa Bay Area before. We got back from a cruise and decided to spend a few extra days. One day we went golfing and the other day we went to Clearwater Beach (highly recommended by the locals). Obviously this beach is NOT the Southern Caribbean 😂 but it was VERY nice for an American beach. We also found over 80 sand dollars!! They were everywhere!

It's on point, the place to be when in the Tampa area , plenty of tourism. Located about 20 to 30 min west of Tampa. Alot to do, from dolphin tours, to jet ski and boat rentals rentals, restaurants and hotels on the beach, etc.

We really enjoyed walking a long stretch of this beautiful beach. It definitely lived up to the reputation of Gulf Coast fine white sand beach beauty. So clean, not sure if it is always this clean, or it is the result of hurricane recovery/cleanup efforts.
Lots of restaurants and hotels along the stretch. A wonderful place to spend a day, or many days to immerse yourself here.

Do not come here for a party or to be around any cool people. It’s a weird hick Scientology town!!!! The white sand is nice but Fort Lauderdale is way better with some culture. There is literally nothing exciting to do besides the beach. This place can be done for families. But if you have tattoos everyone acts like they never seen any.

The beach was awesome. It was clean and lots of sand to walk around on. The water was quite nice as well and even cooler than normal.

A lovely clean beach with white sand and warm sea. Great for families. Spectacular sunset views. Recommended

Beautiful beach. Powdery white sand. Head South for a quieter spot. Parking is difficult and expensive.

The beach is huge, very shallow far into the water so perfect for spacing out. It wasn’t crowded at all when we went and there’s tons of shops, parking and amenities right off the beach which makes it a great spot for swimming, eating and spending the day. Highly recommend.
Caution to not go July/August when it’s overwhelmingly hot.

Beautiful wide beach with soft sand. There are cabana's and lounge chairs available for rent. There are also public restrooms available. There were lifeguards on duty while we were there. There is the pier and so many restaurants, all within walking distance. Lovely.

Very loud city and surroundings! Constant siren police and firs trucks, cars playing loud music you can hear for blocks and loud mufflers you can hear for blocks hard to hear the people you are traveling with in a car unless you keep windows closed in home and car. Weather is nice

Visited here 12/8/24 with family whilst on holiday . We got there about 9-30 am so could park easily. For five hours it was $15 and you can pay on an app. There are restrooms near the beach and a cafe near pier 60 where we parked . The sand is immaculate and the beach rents out cabanas and sun beds with umbrellas . We got a cabana at $50 which had two sun beds .. this is not that bad for the whole day . The water was a bit murky due to the recent storms and we did see a shark fin not far from the surf in the morning so clearly they are out there .. overall I like this beach and it’s a good place for the kids and adults alike.

A little busier than the more southern beaches, but spend a day for sure! Not great for little kids but tons to do around the marina and the beach is pristine. Great restaurants! Love this side of the state!

I’ve been going for 40 years and I’m done!!!! The gang banger’s have showed up and at night it is not safe I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff the last couple years and I’m not going back. It’s so sad there is a certain group of people the ruin everything!!!!!

A long stretch of beach on both sides of the Causeway. We took a drive all the way to the park. At this time of the year, mostly people fishing or just laying out in the sun.

We stayed at a hotel within walking distance to the beach which made it very enjoyable. The sunset was beautiful. The sand is soft. We also enjoyed Pier 60. They have vendors each evening around sunset. It was nice to shop and walk along the pier. The beach and pier were very clean. Loved it!

Clearwater used to be a good place to go and vacation but there are so many people, you can’t get near the beach there is blue umbrellas for rent everywhere $35.00. The cabana’s are $40.00.
The cars and motorcycles revving their engines and their exhaust are so loud. They play their nasty music so loud. These idiots scare the kids. Cops do nothing. The restaurants are overpriced it’s a tourist trap. We paid 16.00 for 2 ice creams in a cup. It’s sad for residents that actually live close that’s trying to have a staycation.

A fantastic and pristine beach with beautiful sand and no beach hawkers. Enjoy peaceful walks or just listening to the ocean, or collecting shells.

We have always loved this beach but it was super crowded for a weekday and the water was murky due to the sargassum. We had to pay $35 for parking which I was not happy about. I likely won't come again for that reason. There are nicer beaches with free parking closer to where we stay in Venice.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Good parking. Nice bartender. Would return if back in the area. Close/walking distance to the beach.

The sand at Clearwater beach is soft and white; the water was nice; wavers weren't too high; lots of shells along the water's edge; we went late afternoon so the sun wasn't as intense and we were able to watch the sunsets which are gorgeous; only part that was tricky was parking; rates range $20-$40 for beach parking at private hotels and parking lots; it was difficula to find public parking at $3/hours, especially on the weekend

Very disappointed with this visit. Parking was a nightmare, most payments were via the app which as an overseas visitor wasn’t any use to us. Someone mentioned the machines were out of order due to the hurricane, but that seems a bit far fetched. When we finally found somewhere (and that in itself was a nightmare) where we could pay cash it was $3 an hour, when in January it was $1 an hour. Quite a price hike for unsuspecting tourists. Place was absolutely heaving and quite a lot of places closed, including the pier, due to hurricane damage (obviously that can’t be helped). We only stayed for a short time before heading off early to the airport for our flight home because it was preferable to sit in Tampa airport for a few hours than to fight our way through the crowds and spend a fortune on parking. Maybe we’ll try somewhere else to spend our last day next time we visit Florida

Beautiful beach to go with the kids and family. It is usually overcrowded and parking is a nightmare. Beach is overcrowded with rental chairs. Not a single palm tree in sight, just rental chairs.

Lots of big hotels and condos Lots of beach activities lots of people. Lots of restaurants. Nice sugar beach and great water. Unfortunately it was storming. No point of staying at the beach

UK - USA
We absolutely love this place, the sugar white sand, the warm gulf waters, the Tiki Bars on the beach, the abundance of restaurants for breakfast, lunch & Dinner.
The sunsets - oh they are beautiful 🥰
Ron Jon’s Surf shop, Surfstyle & Wings .
We buy our beach chairs from either surfstyle, wings or CVS - take them to the waters edge & just relax looking out into the ocean, it’s heaven & cheaper than paying for the hotel’s cabanas or beach bed !
HOWEVER… this year all the above was still 100% true BUT the cost of everything was more than double what it was on our last trip before lockdown.
$7 - $10 for a can of deodorant!
$5 for a bag of potato chips
$15 for a margarita(drink)
$12 for a box of plasters
$10 cheapest shampoo
$30- 90 for a beach chair
seriously, that’s just scratching the surface- we have spent on average $100 for 4 breakfast daily & that’s not in a hotel
lunch has been about $130 and dinner - well you can guess !
I’m now only 5 nights into a 10 night stay and having to budget on our annual family holiday.
Shopping for clothes & trainers was done on day 2 - that was another example of how much everything has increased, we won’t be going shopping again!
So be prepared folks - bring your toiletries, bring your old beach chairs and anything you can get in the case .
It really shows how cheap the UK has become when it comes to buying goods.
Still we don’t have these beautiful beaches & warm sunny days - you’ll still have a wonderful time just come prepared x

Way too busy of a beach for me. I love the Gulf, but there were just too many people there.
I checked it off my bucket list, but will not return.

Beautiful scenery housing condos and beaches around this area. Lots of storefronts and things to do. Enjoyed the beach, shops. Boarded the Starship. Very nice trip

Clearwater beach is one of the best beaches in Florida. Its long and takes about 2.5 hours to walk from the bottom to the top along the shoreline. The bottom half of the beach runs the boardwalk and residential areas and the the top half is along a nature reserve. There are A LOT of shells along this beach. We even saw a dolphin just feet from the shoreline. The sand is very soft.
The bottom half can get busy on weekends but there is plenty of space and parking. The pier is nice. The food along the boardwalk is great. Check out frenchies and crabbys.

Be careful! Crossing the street to get to the beach is quite risky for pedestrians. Clearwater Beach is very busy.
Beautiful Beach
beautiful beach but be prepared for a large number of people, and parking is limited so get there early. plenty of restaurants and shops !! great food, beautiful beach.
