The best multi-day music event since Woodstock.
It has it all and then some.
This is GREAT.

A one-of-a-kind experience!

By Adlai |

I’ll make this as brief as possible. Coachella is an amazing festival, a truly massive undertaking, that gets bigger every year. It’s staggering the amount of people that come down for this event.
Despite its size, it has remained one of the safest, best organized, and best executed festivals ever. There is a huge police presence, as cops from every corner of California come down to get overtime working traffic and crowd control. It has brought economic vitality to the city of Indio and the surrounding Coachella Valley, and the event works very closely with the very affluent neighbors around there in La Quinta, and the Empire Polo Club itself, observing strict noise curfews and ensuring nothing gets too out of hand. It’s very well run, to say the least.
The venue is beautiful, and when there’s not an event there, you’d never know that the serene green lawns host hundreds of thousands of people wandering around at that location.
Accommodations close by get booked way in advance, with even the most sleazy and horrible dive motels charging up to $400-$500 (not joking) if they even have a vacancy, and trust me, every hotel/motel will be filled to capacity during those two weeks, without a doubt.
So unless you go in with friends on renting a house or sharing a room close by, you can certainly stay as far out as Desert Hot Springs or Palm Springs, as they run free bus shuttles from many locations on a loop to and from the event, or you can take Uber/Lyft. Check Craigslist or other sites for deals as many residents cash in on the event and will rent rooms, or spaces, or even their house during the event.
Other tips:
•Absolute must: Bring bandannas or surgical masks for the dust!!! They have water trucks driving round spraying, trying to mitigate that, but the parking and surrounding is all basically sand and gravel, and once all those people stampede in and out, combined with the ever present wind, you’ll quickly see why this is a must! (I would skip sandals too for this very reason)
•VIP passes and parking is a joke: Save your money, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that these passes don’t amount to much. They don’t entitle you to anything that special. Nothing great about seating and nothing great about parking!! — Everybody has to walk, and walk A LOT! The VIP parking pass maybe puts you maybe a 1/4 mile closer to the entrance, from which you still have to walk a ton more just to get in. It’s a huge festival spread out over a gigantic area. So you’ll be disappointed if you think you’re a ‘VIP’ and having to huff it like the masses. So be prepared to do A LOT of walking!
•After the event traffic: Holy hell, after both weekends there is an epic Monday traffic nightmare on the 10fwy westbound! Trust me, if you can zip out late Sunday night or delay your departure until way late Monday evening, or even until Tuesday, you’ll be grateful. The entire day Monday, the freeway will be a parking lot for miles and miles and miles, as everyone pours out of there.
— Have fun be safe and enjoy yourself!

Went for the first time, and had a ball!

By lhamilt77 |

Admittedly, the only thing that brought me to Coachella was Beyonce. We popped for VIP passes and had a blast. Pro tip: You must visit the Rose Garden to go to the Rose All Day booth for the delightful beverage, Frozet...yum. We listened to music, drank, partied, and had a ball. Happy to have finally had the 'Chella experience!

BEST MOMENTS EVER!

If you like music, Coachella festival is one of the best on the world.
so many different kind of artists, every concert is aprox 1 hour, and then you move to other stage, and next to other. every hour are different concerts in 5 stages and you can choose what you prefer to see. the entrance is very easy, there are maps in some points of the festival, also u can ask for help. The water points for refeel water are nice.

the kind of music depends of the year, but at most it was electronic, pop, indie and reggaeton. i was at week 2 April 2019.

if you are taking an Uber to go back home you have to walk a lot, but also you can stay there at camping.
In my case we get an airbnb in palm dessert golf camps and it was like 10 minutes by car to the festival.

Take a jacket for night bc is windy and be prepared to be up many hours for 3 days.

i saw kids there but always with family bc its a festival, there are ppl drinking, so if you are going with kids, of course they can enter but its responsability of the parents.

BEST EXPERIENCE, music and organization are amazing! ppl is very gentle and party ppl!

VIP experience not worth the extra money

By Fiona B |

The concert on the whole was an amazing experience. I got to see lots of beautiful art, and bands/acts that I like... As I booked the early bird tickets I didn't know what the line up was, and I was a little disappointed at the line up compared to previous years (but that's the risk you take when booking so early). Make sure you have very comfy footwear as you'll do lots of walking!
Highlights were Kanye, Zedd, Khalid, and Gorgon City.
VIP was a complate waste of money! The only perk to the wristband was access to two areas that had a very small selection of comfortable seating, shaded areas, smaller queues for food, drinks, and toilets. I didn't get any better views to the stages than I could have, the front of stage areas were for celebs and artists so no VIP access to those. Also, there was no VIP perks in the camping areas, same toilets/showers as everyone else, same queues for entrance, and same living conditions in general.
Knowing what I know now I would have saved over $500 and had that as extra spending money (very expensive, as expected).
I'll definitely go again, but not waste money on VIP.

Attended Coachella 2014 second weekend. By far the most insane experience!!

Yes it's ridiculously hot during the day and there isn't alot of shade but SO worth it!!!

My advice:
-Take a hat,sunblock and sunglasses.
-Beers are $10 so that's a bit of a rip off.
-Food is pretty good.
-Definitely wear comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet for most of the day/night.
-Stay at a hotel in Palm Springs and don't camp.
-Definitely use the shuttle service
-Try not to take a bag because there's a special line to enter if you don't have a bag. The other lines could take up to an hour and there isn't any shade.
- Don't squeeze your way to the front for a performance. Not worth having sweaty and smelly people all over you and you won't be able to move. Anyway the sound is better from being a bit further.

Most of all... have FUN!!!!!! Incredible weekend!!!!!!

Fun, but too many tickets are sold these days

By rainydayinnyc |

We have gone for years and love it (despite me HATING the heat) but Coachella oversells and it has come to the point where it just isn't fun anymore. Saturday nights are the worst, you can't get from one act to another without serious challenges due to the number of people. They apparently are approved to go to 100,000 attendees or more! It was great when it was 40-60,000 people now it is awful.

Amazing experience!

By rainbow2012 |

What an absolutely amazing experience Coachella was. We stayed in Lake Eldorado which was only a short walk from the festival. I think I underestimated the jet lag and if we were to return (which we couldn't do this year due to covid) I would definitely get to the US a few days before and sleep the jet lag off. The music was amazing - I loved wandering and discovering new artists - there was so much choice.
I would recommend getting the buses to the supermarkets to get out for breakfast and definitely wearing trainers as there is a lot of walking.
It was a bucket list festival!

What dreams are made of!

A friend and I had been thinking of doing a big international festival for a few years now but nothing had actually come to fruition.

We got together about a month before Coachella and noticed that it was on during a period where we could both take annual leave, so we did a bit of research and said to ourselves, "Why not?"

We booked our trip and found some tickets online within the next few weeks. Before we new it we were walking though the gates of Coachella.

Walking into the event was amazing! Straight away my mate and I new we had done something we have always wanted to do! We were greeted with the impressive Ferris wheel, luscious palm trees and bangin' stages (the DO Lab was a favourite of mine).

The amount of people at the event was also an incredible site to see, particularly at night time when the biggest artists are smashing the decks. The music itself was diverse across the three days and we found all different types of music that we thoroughly enjoyed (Tchami was an absolute standout!)

The biggest downside I found to this festival was that they don't promote the use of flags and or anything that identifies other nationalities. For me personally I found it incredibly disappointing when they initially told me I couldn't bring my flag in, but luckily I managed to bring it in and met many other Aussies as a result.

I would highly recommend anyone with a funky fashion sense, into groovy music and into large scale events to give this a go!

Blazing hot, dusty. Shade at a premium. Overrated.

By Eugene E |

We have been attending festivals for 30 years, and even worked our share before having kids. We still go to a few festivals a year. After hearing the buzz, and with friends who moved to Indio who we had been wanting to see, we finally checked out Coachella this year. We were not overly impressed.
Too many EDM, Hip-hop and rap artists for my tastes, and too few acts who play actual instruments. Of course, the festival seems more targeted at the EDM / PLUR crowd, and the demographics we observed proved this.
Extremely hot (110 degrees F each day) and dusty. It was like Burning Man Lite for LA scenesters. Fergawds sake, keep yourself hydrated and find shade if you can. But there isn't much shade for General Admission attendees. Pro Tip: There is a Cantina with air conditioning. If you need AC, find it! Full bar, too.
VIP attendees get some shade access, chill areas away from the press of crowds,"nicer" bathrooms, and the opportunity for some better quality food and drink vendors. But no advantage on viewing stages. The viewing area for the Main Stage was way to the side in the Polo Stands. This was a deal-killer for me. We go for the entertainment first, fest experience second. So, that was disappointing for us.
There is a lot of walking, being routed from parking to the venue, so be prepared. And traffic getting in and out can be a real hassle, too. But that's typical for most festivals.
The art installations were large and pretty cool (see my photos). Attendees were very friendly as well. Compared to most festivals, this one seemed to attract a lot more international attendees. The buzz is out worldwide on Coachella. You can credit the ubiquitous LA/Hollywood coverage and celebrity attendance for this.
We did not camp so can't speak to that part of the experience.
Overall, it's for young folks willing to brave elements and sacrifice comfort for fun and adventure. We were there once, but it's not our thing anymore.

Desert Trip 2016

By Robertamattar |

We went to Desert Trip with some friends to see The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and The Who. It was Our first time at Coachella Valley and we were quite impressive. So well planned, organized and safe. There were many kind of different restaurants and we did not get big lines at all.
We loved our experience and we are planning to come back soon!

A must

By Emkaloma |

Ive been twice now and contemplating going again. As we are from Australia we have done Lake Eldorado each time and would do it again as you dont need to take a tent/suitable car. We just hire a mini van. stop at Walmart on the way to pick up luxuries (blow up mattress, esky/coolers, camp chairs, lamps, picnic blankets etc etc) and away we go. It is stinking hot, it is crowded but you wont experience anything like it anywhere else. Plan your day, dont forget food and water and rip it up!

Music and Food Heaven

By cvtmuench |

If you're looking for a 3-day weekend festival of a variety of music, excellent food trucks, green grass and an open air party in the desert, then pay the expenses to enjoy Coachella. I went with my husband for the first time for weekend 2 and it was amazing. It exceeded our expectations and met all the hype. We've wanted to come for a long time but finally committed when our favorite band Radiohead headlined Friday night. We went on weekend 2 so the grass was still fairly green but it was lot dustier. I would recommend going weekend 1. Instead of getting the package with the tickets, hotel, and bus pass, we piecemealed it and would not do that again. We could've saved about $700 had we done the package. So for 2018, we went through the pre-sale and splurged on the VIP package which included VIP entrance, VIP rooms at the hotel we chose, and then the bus pass. The hotel we chose is the one closest to the Coachella venue (within 5 miles). Loved the food trucks, felt like we ate more than we listened to music lol. The stages were all spread out so be prepared for a ton of walking. Explore each stage and walk around. So many whimsical prop they used to really add to the experience. Warning: could be really hot, really dusty, and really crowded! So wear comfortable shoes, layers since it can get cool at night, and stay hydrated. Lots of green grass to sit and just chill. I carried a small packable blanket in my small purse which we used for our "picnics" and even took a nap. Cannot wait for our VIP experience this year!

Amazing if done properly!

My sister and I went to Coachella this year. It was her first time going. I think your experience really depends on what you want. I'm no longer a 18 year old who doesn't care about hygiene with the need to be in the mix of it all. We got the VIP package with a hotel room and shuttle passages. We both hate standing in lines and are not the camping type so it worked for us. I found the VIP areas were definitely less crowded, easier access to food and bathrooms and their were nice shaded areas. I'm also short and having little areas I could stand on to get some height was helpful.

The general area bathrooms were disgusting beyond belief after the first day. Our goal was to get in and see music. If those things don't matter to you and don't need to be in the middle of the crowd then its great. To get in and see the headliner the first night it took us about 20mins from the shuttle area to get into the grounds. While we heard that it took some people 1-2hrs to get through security alone.

It can get very very hot in this area and camping is terrible during those times. The grounds get very dusty and by the second weekend there is so much dust being kicked up you need a mask/air filter (the grass dies with all the people walking over it). Being able to fully shower and have air conditioning while I was sleeping made my trip much more comfortable. During the day when it was hottest we would see people sleeping in the air conditioned tents because they had opted to camp and it was just too hot.

The people who hang out in the VIP areas tend to be older, you can tell lots of people are there for business and to mingle. I actually found a little area to finish some work in and have wine during one of the sets. Its a common complaint to hear that the people in VIP area "arent there for the music."

I think the price can be prohibitive for many people, lucky this year's lineup had many people that we adored so we felt everything was hassle free and worth it. If certain things don't matter to you the GA passes and camping are more than ok. Just be honest with yourself when you decide what you need to enjoy the festival!

Best Concert Venue

By Michele C |

Lady Gaga was fabulous! She headlined after 11 pm on Saturday evening. 2:15 pm got back to the hotel. If you do not like crowds; do not go to Coachella. Purchased VIP passes and stayed at La Quinta. The hotel was outstanding when handling the arrivals and departures. The rooms and easy access local pools was a hit. VIP: No VIP treatment on the shuttle from the hotel or from the venue back to the hotel. VIP entrance and VIP area to relax in the general admission area. Close access to the stage, however, seeing the performers from the ground is always a challenge. Large screens show the performers. Cocktails were $13. Hamburger and fries was $20. It's very expensive. Water for refillables was supplied free of charge. ADA was paramount, however, the size of Coachella and the sometimes fast moving crowds can be a challenge. There is special seating at the main stage. The walk to the shuttle is quite long. It's a great event. Carefully review the general admission and VIP prior to purchasing as there is not a great deal of difference. If you have allergies, be sure to bring your allergy medicine as the grass (ground grass) gets in the air. If you decide to attend, pay close attention to the timing to purchase tickets and get hotels rooms before being sold out.

Best time of my life Coachella Fest!!!!! Nothing but good vibes, good people ,and great times. Ask anyone and im quite sure they would say the same

3rd year in a row!

By Sid B |

Don't break your back on the line up so much. Go for the experience.
Have a big breakfast outside the grounds (before entering) each morning.
White Guy Pad Thai is a pretty good lunch spot.
Ernst Ice Cream!
Why is everything in there sooooo expensive!?!?!?

Things to bring with you to the festival (don't wait until you get inside. They're super expensive on site.):
A scarf/bandana to cover your mouth and nose. Else you will have black snot by the end of day 2. (Walgreens)
Paper hand fans (local Dollar Store)
Empty Camelbak (Don't cheap out here. Get a camelbak and fill it up twice through the day. you don't want to be lining up for 45 minutes at the refill stations every time your tiny water bottle goes empty. )
Towel (so you can sit down when your legs/knees hurt!).
Sunscreen.
Sunglasses.
Wet wipes.
Toilet paper.
Eye drops.
Hat.
Light jacket for the evening.
Cash.

Keep an eye out for the golden hour, the views are priceless!

Family Boogaloo at Coachella

By Courtbpixton |

Well! the party starts at noon, Buss trip to Indio and Coachella very smooth. The transportation runs flawlessly, from and to the festival. 5 stars. Water going on the bus is a must. Arriving at the venue is seamless. Greeters help with where to go. Through security ticket scanning etc. Also remind you of the way back to your buss, Before you forget from whence you came. Friendly folks every step of the way to the music, food, and art a feast for all your senses! Day time people watching is a 5 star event.
Music was a bit trendy for me, never the less incredible with laser light shows, dancing, singing overall a wonderful experience.
Plenty of food and beverage with a wide variety for the most picky palate.
A great time was had by all the family.
Caveat, over 21 years old. A cell phone for all, a meeting place every couple of hours to regroup, good shoes, hat, sun screen and patience!

I had the fortune to attend the Desert Trip Rock Concerts and the location, venue , sound, food and organization could not be better: easy access, large parking spaces, plenty of bathrooms and thousands of places to choose from while enjoying the best rock bands of the planet.

Music Festival

By Nuno R |

An experience never to forget, being one of the five largest music festivals in the world, it was unforgettable!
2010 was a very good year, wasn't the best ever but it was enough to never forget those four days of feasting and music.
I was lucky to see Gorillaz, Them Crooked Vultures, Death Weather, XX, MGMT, Faith No More, Jay Z, She and Him, Gossip, Vampire Weekend, etc.
The atmosphere is unbelievable and for any music lover is mandatory to come here at least once in your life, I intend to repeat ;)

Good times

Minus the heat and disappointment of no Beyoncé, I had a blast.I would suggest anyone attending stay HYDRATED and pack lightly.

Fun But Way Oversold

By Mike N |

I'm an admitted Coachella newbie, and quite a bit older (58) and less drug addled than the typical millennial hipster concertgoer but I have a few things to say about it. Obviously, the 2017 show is over, but you may be reading this to get a sense of what to expect in future shows. Be warned.

My gf and I went to Desert Trip last fall (2016) and had a fabulous time. The artists were great and the show organizers did a fine job with infrastructure and security. We had VIP tickets and VIP parking, both of which turned out to be solid, though expensive, investments . Sadly, that Investment did not pan out so well for the "regular" show this year. The VIP wristband was still handy, for sure, but the VIP parking was near worthless, especially at exit time. The VIP wristband is best for getting you in through a better entrance and security. The VIP areas inside the grounds are also handy, but far from luxurious (There is an oasis of sorts toward the back, which was actually a minor godsend.) VIP wristbands do little or nothing to get you closer to the stages. You can often get a better view in the GA areas. VIP parking does less than nothing when it's time to leave. After Gaga ended around 1:30AM Saturday, we wandered back to our car, and proceeded to sit in bumper to bumper traffic in the dirt lot for over 90 minutes, just to get to the street! Nobody was directing that traffic mess! Nobody. Friday and Sunday nights weren't much better.

Coachella is gigantic, and the promoters pack every square inch with stoned Millennials. It's far oversold even for its huge size. But there's definitely stuff to do. The huge art exhibitions alone are a reason to go. It's hot. We were there the first weekend and actually had pretty good weather. No major dust storms. Maybe 90 degrees. The sod they put down in some areas is still vaguely intact. Food and especially drink are very expensive. The craft beer barn was nice to have around, but was usually packed. Apple Pay was very convenient to use and sped up the lines. Some of the brews and food were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Figure $100 to $200 per day for sustenance. People have written lots of survival guides about Coachella, so I won't repeat that stuff here.

Some, actually all, of the EDM tents are an accident waiting to happen. I realized, in the center of the Sahara tent (more of a giant quonset hut) during Empire of the Sun, that if someone even fainted in the middle of that packed crowd, they could die. There would be no way to get them out and no way for medical staff to get in. Access to the individual tents is not regulated or monitored, and with the degree of ticket overselling, probably should be.

Sounds like a lot of complaining, I know. We actually had a great time, and most importantly, saw a lot of superb bands making awesome music. Despite all of the concerns above, we will go back, keeping an eye on the crowding, of course. ;-)

Cares About the Experience

By Jordan Morningstar |

My husband and I got to attend the Coachella Valley festival grounds for 2023's Power Trip.

The grounds are HUGE! It was a little confusing the first day, since our shuttle driver got lost. However, there is security everywhere directing traffic and people running their pimp'd-out bikes to run people from shuttle/parking lot to the grounds entrance. There are bathrooms and water stations everywhere! It was very well set up for making sure everyone was taken care of.

The sound was amazing. I have attended outdoor festivals before in the midwest and things can be muffled by weather elements (rain and wind). Not at Coachella, the sound system sounded amazing outside of the festival grounds the same as sitting in the stands.

The videography is set up so well that you can see the performance from anywhere in the stage area. No matter if you're standing or sitting or in the stands, you get a personal experience!

There is so much to see and even activities to do in between gigs (huge ferris wheel). I was surprised by the fake grass covering the grounds, but it makes sense.

Only for the bourgeois class.

By Vinny02126 |

Not for anyone that's not rich or from a rich family. Even after spending tons to go, everything is priced worse than a movie theater.
If you're not there for social media exposure, don't contribute to the elites money grab.

Amazing

By Evan Neunuebel |

This was my first year going to Coachella. Let me tell you it was amazing. I loved the vibes, atmosphere, and the people. I had went to Weekend 2. Downside to it was that there was little to no celebrities, and after parties there. It was god awful hot also. I would recommend going to weekend 1 if you legit want a very lit weekend. But my overall experience for weekend too was amazing. I got to meet one of my favorite celebrities outside of Coachella at another event during that weekend which was Nyjah Huston. I'm definitely trying to go next year, I can't wait for tickets to go on sale again.

Hope it wasnt a once in a lifetime trip! Simply amazing!

By Daniel C |

the weather, the beautiful scenery, the music all made this an unforgettable trip. Downside? drinking zones..... Why cant you take a beer to watch your favourite act? thats a big no no.

Coachella 2019

By Nicol E |

I bought Coachella VIP tickets as an early bird, so at the time I didn’t know what the line up would be but that was a risk I was willing to take given that previous years line ups were amazing. I wasn’t as impressed with this years line up as previous years but they still had great artist. This was my FIRST musical festival ever. I enjoyed being able to see many artists in a short amount of time & the location of the festival is beautiful. It does get cold at night so I would bring a jacket at least & it was windy so something to protect your face from all the sand. The food and drinks were very pricy, the cheapest beer i saw was Heineken for $8 i believe with everything else ranging from $16+. Food was about the same $13+ and I’m talking $13 for just a side of onion rings. However, I expected it to be pricy. (given the thousands of people out there though, I definitely think they could make some price point adjustments.) definitely wear comfortable shoes because the parking and stages can be so far from each other. The staff however, specifically the outdoor staff & staff at the entrances were extremely rude. Asking them for directions on where to go was like if we were asking them something offensive. They’d yell at us and tell us to keep moving or shrug their shoulders and ignore us and just point to keep moving. We had to ask five staff members in a row for help before one of them were nice enough to help us. My review is mostly in regards to the VIP experience, which personally I think is a complete rip off in comparison to general admission. This may be my first festival but not my first concert. At bare minimum, VIP in general includes at least everything in the ticket options below you, for ex: GA w/shuttle passes. We were not allowed to ride the shuttles as VIP because we didn’t have a shuttle pass. We weren’t even given preferred or closer parking to the entrance which in all honestly has to be at least 3/4 of a mile away. They have people in bikes with carriages offering to take you to the entrance for $20 each way. Once in the actual event, there are only two “VIP” areas. These spots include a few shaded areas, some different food options not found outside in the regular food courts& very limited seating. You still have to sit on the floor like in G.A in most of it. The areas aren’t even close to any of the five (can’t remember specifically) stages for premium viewing of the artists. In fact, if you’re in G.A & make it early to be in the front rows of the stage you have a way better view than any VIP member in a VIP area. The VIP areas allow you to view the performance from a far distance with the only benefit of not feeling like you’re being pushed around in the crowds during a performance. There are no air conditioned areas and the restrooms are still porter potties. You’re not allowed to go back stage either. You’re not even given a water bottle for free. No tshirt or anything. Knowing what I know now I would most
definitely have just gotten a regular G.A ticket as VIP was literally useless with the only pro of slightly more comfort. As I stated earlier, the concert was cool but to be honest I don’t ever think I’d return to Coachella again after this.

All Good

Been to Coachella that past several years and love it every time. Sure the traffic getting in and out of the festival sucks, sure its hot, sure its windy sometime. Good music, good atmosphere, good vibe, good all the way around.

Daughter took me (Mom) to Coachella!

By momlew |

This was our first time to Coachella and they exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and had the opportunity to walk the entire facility to make ourselves aware of our surroundings.

The food, water stations and technology of using their website for lost and found incredible.

The music performances were amazing and on point. We had to leave early Sunday to catch our return flight because we did not have the lineup before purchasing our tickets. We went to their app and streamed the performance live bopping our heads at LAX like we’re there!

I found new artist to follow and download as well. Will return with more family for sure. The cook street shuttle service amazing!

Thanks Coachella 😍

Coachella 2018

By Kat K |

Coachella 2018 was definitely a bucket list trip. To begin... I was gifted an artist guest pass with 5 of my female friends. This allowed me to experience Coachella in the most bougie way possible lol. The artist lineup this year was great! Beyonce of course was my fave act with The Weeknd being a close second. The artist guest passes allowed us access to an area “higher” than VIP. Premium viewing to the left of the stage along with access to the areas by the artist trailers. I got to watch the concerts amongst the stars which was a great experience seeing everyone being “regular”. Bathroom options were trailers with flushable toilets and sinks. Food options were great but the lines were loooonggg and food was pricey. I had sweet and sour cauliflower with rice that was to die for. Plenty of free charging stations and areas to sit if you needed to. My Coachella experience was great but i definitely believe it was a one and done type of vacation.

Festival in the Desert

By Maddy & Me Travel the World |

As a seasoned festival goer, this one, while fun, didn’t not rank high in the greatest music experience. The venue is HUGE and unless you’re VIP (which thankfully we were), you’re in a massive field with a 100,000 of your closest friends battling the limited port-a-potty’s. That being said, who wouldn’t love Southern California in May. 40 Degree weather, super great people and fantastic food. We rented a villa in Palm Springs which cost us 100 a day in Uber drives to/from the venue. IF you’re looking for local hotel accommodations, book in November or you’ll be SOL.

Coachella....Bucketlist

By Ilovetoeatandtravel1 |

Coachella is like nothing else!!! Great music, awesome food, and great people! It's an unforgettable experience everyone should do! If you're in your 20s, 30s, 40s you must do a music festival at least 5 times in your life time. Life is about love, making good memories, experiences and lesson learned. You get that at Coachella! Although I want to go again, My Bucketlist is far to long. Enjoy Coachella.

Greatest music festival

Safari is the way to go if you can afford it

Wow, we have been before and we had a blast. We got super spoiled when we did the Safari Tents this last year and loved it. The tents were a bit hot (even with AC) and you have restroom/shower trailers but other than that, it is top notch the whole weekend with golf cart service, front row for most of the stages, backstage and artist access and yummy food. Loved it and it will be the only way we will do Coachella from now on.

Beyonce Great!

I attended last year and had an excellent experience even though Beyonce did not appear due to pregnancy. I met a lot of fun people that are pure music enthusiasts. The cab ride from the airport can be a little costly so put aside your pennies. Beyonce is appearing this year and I am excited about her appearance and the fact that the news is out that Superblackhair.com is the source of her luxurious locks! HUGE kudos!

Excellent Venue

Excellent venue. Very well run. If you love music you have to attend this venue. We bought tickets when they were released but waited a few months before booking rooms. Big mistake as there are a few festivals in a row the rooms book early in advance. Recommend that you book rooms ASAP. We also got the shuttle tickets to and from the venue, this was excellent service. We did not wait long for buses but I recommend you try to get rooms at one of the drop off and pick up sites.
Once the line up was released we went thru the times and stages to ensure we did not miss any of our favourite artists. We noticed that prior or after the music festival most of the bands are touring the area, so who we could not see we ended up buying tickets at a local venue. So keep an eye at your local venues....
