Lots of places to ea5 and drink and shop, a happening place in the evening, lots of good music. Eating is surprisingly reasonable, although parking a bind

If you want many shops, restaurants and hotels then you should live on Collins Ave or very close to. But it varies depending on the area. Near South Beach there is many nice shops and Hotels on Collins Ave.

We just got back from a long Weekend trip, when we arrived late Friday we were looking for a place to eat and walked up and down Collins Avenue because we didn’t know where anything else was. There were a LOT of cars
and Scooter’s racing very fast up and down the road. We were there for three days and saw very little police presence I think this had something to do with what’s been going on in the country lately. There was a police presence on the beach but not much anywhere else. There was a lot of garbage on Collins Avenue! My wife and I tried to avoid walking on Collins during night, we did not feel safe.

A parallel block to the beach, one block away. You can find a restaurant with your eyes closed. Expect to see a wide range of tropical dressed people on the exposed side. Only two lanes wide. The budget hotels are on this block.

Collins Avenue is a major street in Southern Miami. It is parallel to the Atlantic Ocean and is a go to area during the day and especially at night because of its restaurant and bar scene. It has a few night clubs and good restaurants for a nice experience in a very busy city. A few very trendy hotels on Collins avenue like; Delano Hotel, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, The Ritz Bal Harbour, The Dream Hotel to name a few. Collins Avenue is definitely a must when in Miami.

Busy area. Great for people watching. Lots of hotels, restaurants and bars. It might be noisy if you are on the southern end of collins.

The South Beach area up to middle beach (41st street) is bustling but after that its just high rises and hotels with six lanes of traffic (you can see the boats on the intercoastal). After 63rd, it picks up a bit, then boring till you get to Bal Harbor though the shops are not on Collins.

A must see, great time with our little cousins, first time in Miami for them they loved the shops and looking at all the luxury cars up and down the strip

Collins Ave has one luxury hotel after another. We stayed at 1 hotel which was the perfect location! Just a few blocks to Ocean Ave and everything in between.

Another not to miss place when traveling to Miami Beach. Just the perfect mixture of Art Deco and contemporary buildings.

It’s a long long street of hotels restaurants and bars and the buzz of supercars driving up and down the street. People watching, happy hour and sunshine. Slightly quieter than Ocean Drive.

We spent 3 nights at the modern 6080 hotel in South Beach and for $350.00 per night we thought we were going to have a great time. But much to our surprise the only person who could speak English was our front desk host. Our toylet wouldn't flush. The water in the shower was just luke warm. No heat in the room. The maid and the maintenance man couldn't understand english.
My advice is to think twice about staying at this property.
Next year we are going to stay at the Hilton just across the street. They have hot water and flush toilets.
Sad for a beautiful property.

Shops, restaurants, condos. There’s a mix of big hotels–some classic and others more modern. The hustle and bustle of a big city in a tropical location. You can walk or drive

Whatever you want you will find it here.
The different styles of architecture will blow you away.
The big hotels such as the Fontainbleau are amazing to see.
Take the S bus from Lincoln Road to Aventura Mall for $2.25 and you will see so many different neighbourhoods and lifestyles.
There are plenty of good places to get off and eat such as Surfside.
Bal Harbour shops are lovely to stroll around.
The Bass Art Museum is also on the Avenue.
An iconic street!

So much to do and see!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE spots in Florida. Great restaurants, shopping and people watching

I drove from South Beach to Aventura along Collins Ave over Thanksgiving weekend and was surprised by the lack of traffic. It was a nice, scenic drive and only took about 30 minutes

Collins is a great for SoBe shopping and to hang out after the beach or as an alternative to the beach.

Excellent lower prices properties and short walk to free trolleys on washington and one block from ocean. Lots of Art Deco hotels on this street. Lots of good people watching. Sad to see so many homeless however. Never felt unsafe.

collins Ave is definitely the place to go day or night. Totally different at night time, but fantastic shopping, walk out , eat and people watch.

Nobody coming to Miami, can skip Miami Beach and nobody here can skip Collins Avenue. It’s a charming neighborhood, filled up of great views of boats and landscapes. How can you miss the view to the millionaire section on the other side of the water and not think about the memory of Miami gangsters story of mafia. It’s a historical monument. Just stroll around!

nice area to have a hotel on.
better a short walk away from Ocean Drive though as it is a very busy place at night

This road is full of eateries pubs and food place of all nations. Also found Halal Indian food but unbelievably expensive. There were some affordable places also unlike ocean drive

RIDE THE FREE TROLLY ON COLLINS AVE .CITY TOUR FOR FREE GREAT FUN or ride the bus for $2.25 from one end of Collins Ave to Aventura MALL .LOTS OF FUN YOU CAN SPEND TO THREE HOURS GREAT SHOPPING.

I love taking a walk from the hotel down to all the shops. There's a nice mix of souvenir shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. I am surprised at how many of the stores close at 9pm, especially since the street is so busy with tourists trying to spend money.

This is the main drag through Miami Beach and so can get congested with traffic. Some good examples of Art Deco architecture. You don’t need to make a special trip to visit it as you can’t avoid it!

We strolled along Collins Street many times whilst visiting Miami, South Beach. Lots of shops and restaurants along the way. So many cool Art Deco buildings on this street. Make sure you travel up here at night to see the hotels all lit up.

The publix on Collins ave is my favorite they are very clean organized staff is super helpful the cake is the best I absolutely love Publix cake Publix has everything your looking for from fresh produce to hot coffee they also sell wine

Very beautiful avenue worth knowing. With many stores. Very close to the beach.Bad parking but you can walk in some places.

The street is one long stretch with lots of Lots of restaurants ; clubs - bars; and hotels. All types of food can be found on that street or dude streets. Lots of public parking if none in the streets. Good place to find a place to eat

Condo was nice an spacious, location was great, staff was very helpful. Close to the beach and it walking distance to alot of amenities. I would definitely consider coming back to this Condo again. This would be the place to be.

If you are into partying and nightlife, you will enjoy it. This is not a kid friendly place. Seems like every other store is tobacco or alcohol related.

The palm tree lined boulevard immediately gives one the full pleasurable sense of being on vacation in Miami!

Everything you need while on your trip is on Collins! Banks, food, spirits fast food, its a connection between shopping and beach

Came here has a kid and remains pretty much the same. Great varied stores. Now multi lingual and a melting pot of different countries. Lively and colorful with pretty good pricing. Fun day trip and close to most too hotels.

Driving down collins Avenue gives you the proper feeling of How Miami Beach developed into such a powerhouse of tourism. The buildings are more historical ( and with more hotels) on the South side of Collins Avenue, while they tend to become more modern (and with more condominiums) on the North side..

Stroll down here and realise that you will never be this well off! The hotels have friendly and large guards, the prices will be way too high, the cars are serious money. The street is a joy - grab a coffee at Joe and the Juice and watch the world go by.

Our hotel was on Collins Avenue and we literally did not have to drive anywhere! Are hotel had a restaurant on the first floor but we we also surrounded by several dining options. There were clothing stores nearby as well as the beautiful beach!

Love this stretch during the off season without the super crowds
Plenty to see and eat and with the beach right across the street you cant beat it.

It was neat and clean, well connected with Linchon street with free trollies ,which was a great asset to toursists as we saved money on transport. Large number of hotels are located in this avenue.

Collin’s Avenue is a great place for hotels, restaurants, and shopping. We walked for a couple miles stopping in store and enjoying the warm weather. As we were heading back to our hotel it rained, warm and refreshing.

I was first struck by the quality of Collins Avenue, meaning that it appeared mid-to upscale in terms of the standard of living, sanitation, traffic and travelling support. Overall, its a nice place to be. What stands out is that there is a large marina type boat dock which really adds to to aesthetics. But again I want to single out the homeless for the attention of anyone in authority who might be reading. Even in my own Caribbean country, this is an issue, that you have these persons who sit in the bus shelter with their world possessions in a suitcase of a card board box. They are a sanitation/hygene issue and you cannot have anice store front with a man sleeping on the pavement in front. (Lo siento). But its not all buildings. In addition, the river that runs along side Collins Avenue means that you have a river type setting on one side and the wide open sea on the other. Also there is a free trolley that traverses the avenue taking you like to the Walgreens was someway down, or to a Publix and other places like Ace. So provided that you are there long enough to familiarise yourself with the routes, you will be A-OK. The hotel concierge can be quite helpful here for out of towners. Mind you the trolley can be a bit rowdy: while there, a Hispanic passenger raised an uproar over the number of people on the trolley, thinking that the driver was overloading. However, he appeared to be ensuring that the bus was full to capacity.
I would like to mention the bus service. There is a pretty efficient bus service, which we used to get to Aventura Mall ( separate review) cost- US 2.25 one way. This was a low cost sight seeing trip along the expanse of the avenue, since you get a pretty good look . I recall seeing buses to downtown and the airport. So hey!! depending on your baggage, you can get to the airport for as little as $2.25 since I understand that all rides on the bus are $2.25.
Have a good one.

Nice street with nice restaurants and cafés. Less trendy than ocean drive but very nice. The free trolleybus takes you up and down the street if you are tired after walking one way.

Hop on a trolley bus and tour the entire Collins avenue northbound .. Come back and take up position at one of the many bars and watch the passing traffic and cars .. A hive of activity and something to do all day. It can get noisy but is always colourful.

Almost like a super small city in a city, all on one street. Lots of buildings you'd want to take photos of, lots of places to eat and drink as well. Even saw a really old super nice Mercury! A pleasant walk that makes you forget about the hustle and bustle.

my daughter and i went shopping along collins avenue there are many different stores and places to eat. enjoyed the walk

Collins Avenue was absolutely buzzing tonight as we went to Jose Andres' Bazaar for dinner. I can't ever remember seeing so many tourists in the heat of August but there were hundreds and hundreds of them. There are quite a few parking garages around so don't let that put you off. Lots of great shops and restaurants of all different price ranges to choose from and terrific people watching!

Very clean and surprisingly quiet road. High-end shops at one end and nice Art Deco buildings serving as hotels.

Just there after Super Bowl weekend. Sparkling clean beautiful beach and many fun restaurants and bars.....but very pricey!,

Collins is now a gauntlet of people sipping gin and juice while smoking their favorite blunt. It was even "Shady" in front of the Ritz Carlton where large groups of people would loiter all day while selling their "Product".

It really is a long long road but certain sections at the South beach end are busier and the road and pavement is narrower as the road continues Up towards the north it gets much wider. There are hotels and bars galore along this road with a few shops too. Bars along the roadside and busy especially near the intersection with Lincoln road. So many nice places to stop for a drink of something to eat.

We bought a lot of souveniers here, as it is cheaper than in Ocian Drive. There are a lot of shops. It is not so crowded and colorful likce Ocean drive and no bars and only few restaurants.

Based on others reviews, I picked a hotel on Collins Ave. I found instead of being in a shopping area with lots of restaurants and things to do, I'm instead in the middle of high rise condos and hotels. While I have direct access to the beach that the family likes, we're miles from the shopping areas. We did visit a couple of spots along Collins Ave. when down in South Beach. They are the normal collection of stores you would expect to see in an outdoor shopping mall type of setup, especially near a beach.
Parking in the area is a challenge and subject to heavy traffic in the area, so plan time to visit this area that includes logistics, not window browsing.

This was our first time to South Beach and we didn't know that Collins Avenue was going to be as entertaining as it was. Between the continuous parade of exotic and expensive cars was the eye-popping parade of outrageously outfitted people. Hmmm, time to update my wardrobe? Find an outdoor cafe, sit back and enjoy the show!

- Parallel to water sea along the all South B. in-between water front & Central "Washington" Street ... Can find all in & around
- FREE Trolley (06-24:00) ride in & around ... Also Public bus transportation (Ticket = 2.25 $) to AirPort + D.T. + Ft. Lauderdale + ... in /Close

Collins Ave has to be one of the main attraction streets. It has everything from food, nails salons, hair salons and so much more. You’re guaranteed to find what you need here

Beautiful, but at the same time noisy avenue that is a symbol of Miami Beach. If your desire is to sleep at night, do not take a room that leads to the street.

Sketchy, low budget low class travelers have overrun Collins Ave. Food and drinks are way overpriced and it’s just a tourist trap. Beaches and boardwalk are nice. Stay away at night. Stay south of south beach closer to the park but, better yet, head to the keys to get away.

Love this place, I come at least once a year! The shops on Lincoln Ave are amazing and and I love the walk along south beach, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I am here. It’s very laid back and feels safe enough. My favourite hotel is the Loews and the restaurants are really good too.

Collins Avenue used to be a place full of lovely boutiques, cafe's, restaurants but now the shops are gone, many establishments are empty.

Lots of boutique hotels and restaurants to eat from. Great variety of cuisines. Central Miami where all the action is.

This avenue is one of the main of Miami Beach. It has many hotels, shops and restaurants for dinner or breakfast (e.g. Grand Café Miami).
It's a block above Ocean Drive, right off the beach.
Take a walk and then take the car and follow it from South Beach to North Beach as it crosses the entire stretch of Miami Beach.
Well top!

Went during spring break with the kids. Lots of stuff going on. Tio busy for bicycles so we rode on the beach board walk. Kids loved seeing all the exotic sports cars. As busy as it is, the traffic moved pretty good.

this is the main drag for miami beach it runs for miles. a plus is the trolley that runs along the street with various stops. in most places this is one way so plan on your location. i stayed on collins ave and it was very handy for getting around

We stayed on COLLINS AVE, we enjoyed it emensely, so many ART DECO buildings each unique in style and built. We viewed so many bike, motorcycle, tours and walkers alike. Always enjoy visiting and staying on COLLINS Ave.

Collins Ave is a great place leading to so many other HOT spots. Remember to go out with plenty of time to not get caught in the crazy traffic. Do not complaint about it just leave early and get to your destination in one peace. Love Collins Ave where you will see fashion, food, listen to excellent music, and see all kinds of flamboyant people.

Shopping, restaurants, people, clubs, energy, and fun. Collins Avenue has lot to see and do in the morning and evening hours. There are many places to eat, and shop for beach clothing, and souvenirs, or you can just people watch. There are many hotels up and down the avenue. It is must see street if you are in the area.

Our hotel was on Collins Avenue so we spent a good deal of time walking around. It is a vital street in Miami full of famous hotels, restaurants and businesses.

This avenue has a long stretch, going from South Beach, passing through Mid Miami Beach and reaching north of Miami Beach.
Along the beach there is everything, such as hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, ice cream shops and residential and commercial buildings.
It's parallel to the beach.

With easy access to places in North, Mid, and South Beach, this avenue is quite convenient. Nice to see the high rises, and access to the bay.

The spirit seems to be here. Lots of restaurants bars and clubs.
You can walk this street but it seems it’s all day but especially an night crowded. To do a cruise ride with the car could be fun even for the kids.

I've been in Miami Beach for quite some weeks and walked up and down Collins Avenue almost every day. It is a lovely street and there's always something to see. The hotels, restaurants and bars make it a fun place to have a walk. Or just take the Collins Avenue trolley which will take you from north almost all the way down south (for free).

Really the heart of Miami Beach, lined with hotels including many art deco gems. Lots of places to eat, often not so good. Shops, mostly for tourists. The long drag.

We love stopping in the fabulous hotels when on Collins. Collins Avenue, also known as State Road A1A, is the main hotel strip and shopping area in Miami Beach and runs parallel to the beach. The Delano is worth a stroll through especially at night with all the white curtains, lobby, lighting and Art deco style. This street is different during the day and is a must see trip at night too.

Stayed on Collins Avenue in July. Would have to say not my favorite place in the world. The beach is ok but the atmosphere in the general area is quite maa. It would not be a place I would be rushing back to. It was very expensive staying here considering what you got. Plenty of flash cars driving by but was actually quite trashy.

Collins Avenue in South Beach is the place to be and be seen. It is teeming with great hotels, restaurants and shops. It is easily accessible from MIA which is a 20 minute Uber ride away

Here is the street where ALL the restaurants, bars, shops are! And the people watching!!!! This is the heart of South Beach and where you want to stay!

A good street to walk down either during the day or at night. It is always busy with lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from and at night it comes alive with the same opportunities to shop, eat or drink but the street is filled with lights and music. There are lots of hotels lining the street - possibly because of its location being so close to the beach.

We drove down Collins Ave to observe and enjoy the architecture of the Art Deco buildings. They are colorful, beautiful and mostly restored. Its fun watching people from all over the world driving and walking, biking, scootering and generally having a great time.

This strip has all that you can imagine, food, bars, clubs. Parking is limited but street parking is cheaper than ocean drive

Nice walk, lots of interesting buildings, restaurants and shopping. Especially nice at night when all are lit up.

Collins Avenue is huge and has lots of shops and restaurants and it is parallels to the beach. If you are courageous or like to walk, I advise to walk tall though this Avenue

This was a very nice place some 20 years ago. Now it is cheap, dirty. In the shops, and we love to go shopping, there are only unfriendly people working which suffer from their destiny that they have to work here

Just like any other street in South Beach, Collins Ave is full of fun stuff to do and see. Also you will find plenty of restaurants and shops to keep yourself busy and entertained.

Stayed on three hotels on this street and loved it. So much to see and do and perfectly placed for the beach, to.shop or for The cruses

Miami Beach is full of activity and life. Collins Avevue is part of the triptych of the central streets of the Florida town, where the majority of shops and restaurants are located. Many public car parks available.

The best way to get up and down Collins Avenue is by the free Trolley Bus. There are plenty of places to stop along the way, and easy access to the beach.

Contains multiple hotels, on both sides of the Avenue, and runs through South Beach to Middle Beach and North Beach.

My Collins Avenue experience goes back to the year 2000 during my trip to the USA I fell in love with this cosmopolitan avenue with lots of restaurants and very close to the famous Latin and Cuban neighborhood always full of entertainment 24/24 in addition to that I remember very much the hotel which is year 60 and 70 which offers an unparalleled immersion and Collins Av is central and close to the Grand Port of Cruises only 20 minutes by bus and do not forget to visit the Miami Heats FTX ARENA room which is on Biscayne Avenue

I like to walk around and look at the architecture. It's a very busy road but plenty of places to stop for a drink or eat

Do not refrain just on Collins Ave South Beach only:
Explore all the real deal of this Iconic Avenue with its Art Deco Arquitecture and Modern build as well. There is nothing better than cruise on a Sunday afternoon to all the way up north cities , Surfside,Bal Harbor,SunnyIsles
Golden Beach,Hallandale,Hollywood, Dania Beach Park.

This street is impressive from the crowded South beach to all the way North with luxury condos and hotels, even if it's walking, riding a bike or a car you will always get a good impression, there's always happening there

Full of choice restaurants and shops. Easy to find just about anything you're looking for. Police EVERYWHERE.

The street has a variety of high end and low end stores. Sara, H and M, Tommy Hilfiger, mac, gap, Steve madden and others can be found here

We walked a long way along Collins and it was well worth the time. Uniquely styled building that have preserved for all generations to enjoy. Numerous restaurants, bars, and night life abound on the south end of Collins. Walking is the best way to enjoy this area. Take your time and enjoy everything.

The trolley is so easy to use and makes Collins avenue a scenic tour in itself. So much to see and places to eat. Trolley stops about every 2 long blocks

Collins has all you need and want and gets you where you want to go!!
Hotels, restaurants, bars /clubs!!
Great main 'drag' through south Beach!

Loved Collins Ave, the Parisian hotel is amazing. Loved the staff, extremely accommodating. The continental breakfast was superb was not lacking a thing. Free WiFi, complimentary beach towels, complimentary water bottles for our entire stay.

So incredible to see how the neighborhood has been restored over the last 20 years. Take a stroll, enjoy the historic Art Deco buildings, now hotels, apartments, restaurants and shops.

Collins has hotels, shops, restaurants and the like. One often sees exotic cars and people. It is mostly a busy street used for getting around.

Lot's of cool buildings that are very different from the skyscraper hotels on the beach. It's preserved in a classical time period. There are lots of little souvenir shops and little restaurants.

So much art deco architecture on Collins Ave. Plenty of hotels and restaurants. Very close to the beach. My great grandparents lived in building on Collins Ave in the 1970s/early 1980s . They lived in a hotel converted to efficieny apartments.

Collins avenue is just behind the beach-front hotels in Miami Beach. We used the free Collins Express Trolley which was really good so long as you weren’t in a hurry. It wasn’t so much that it was free, we would have been happy to pay, but we find buying bus tickets can be complicated sometimes when on holiday.
Spend some time taking a bus one-way and meandering back looking at the properties.

You can easily spend a half day walking around this area. Lots of great art deco buildings, shops and some really good restaurants.

Was here for Superbowl weekend . Place was a hub of activity. Plenty restaurants and small hotels . Lots of small shops etc. Felt safe and friendly.

Collins Avenue is filled with good restaurants and hotels. Lots of fun is awaiting on Collins Avenue

We stayed at Collins and 31st and most days would walkup Collins Ave one way or the other just to go to a shop or a bar. Made a change from walking along the boardwalk or beach path. Nice to walk on the intracoastal side to look at the boats and some of the amazing properties on the other side of the water.

Loved the miami style buildings and colors. Easy to walk to get to great restaurants and shopping. Fun place to stay

We had rent an appartment here in Collins Avenue,.... it is a long road and about 30 minutes away from down town miami,.... there is a trolleybus going all the way, it is free and fun to drive...

Took some time here and enjoyed a couple of cocktails and a bit of shopping. Nothing spectacular though.

Came here for a conference and the area is a mix of high end hotels and restaurants right on the beach, combined with local flavor of the area.

Some blocks have great shopping and nice bars and restaurants near a fancy resort. Some blocks have empty stores and eyesores. The list little art deco hotels are nice on the outside. And there are homeless people on the street by the Ritz Carlton.
As I said, it depends on where you are.

We were off 21 Street so it was a bit of a walk to the shopping district but an interesting one. Plenty of souvenir shops to stop in (if you want any of that sort of thing). Passed lots of little ice cream shops, Italian bakeries, coffee shops, places to eat and drink. Its great just to look at the interesting buildings, cars and people watch. Plenty of branded shops when you get to the shopping part - just depends what you want. We enjoyed just walking round. Nice and clean street with no issues. Worth visiting.

We stayed at The Edition, which is a five star hotel. The hotel and location did not disappoint. Right on the beach and could walk everywhere. We hired a car but only used it when going to the outlet mall.

The beach was beautiful nice clean beach friendly people we spend all day at the beach awesome sunny day

Lots of shops and restaurants to visit. It's the real avenue of films. It is one block from the main beach avenue, therefore, it is a good option to stay.

Interesting walk crammed with people..lots of cool Art Deco buildings with a mix of shops and restaurants. We ate street tacos at Taquiza. Beach is one block east. Extra parking up 14th about two blocks.

Girasole apts bay 13 was totally under whelming and lacks any sense of Miami charm that was displayed in pictures on the web. The whole apartment was seriously outdated and made no sense from top to bottom. Starting with the bathrooms that smelled of urine and dirt. The floors throughout the entire place were filthy and needed a serious mopping. The kitchen has a stove with a major crack so cooking is limited to one eye. The dishwasher in the wall, 2 sinks and 2 microwaves made no sense at all. The beds were made for children not adults. The living space was also dirty with other peoples hair on the sofa and floor. There is also 2 twin beds by the window in the front room, where the blinds are missing several spaces that make it super easy for the guests across the street to get a good view at night time. Last but not least, the A/C is not working at all. It has a sign that reads that the connection is opposite (the hot is cold and the cold is hot). The A/C never cooled the apartment!

It has everything you could want plus some. Get out here! Great food, things to do like the beach and botanical gardens, did I mention food?

We had a good time on our trip to get away from home for a few days. Me, my wife and three daughters. We learned real quick to stay away from South Beach in the evening times during the spring breakers craziness. Too much weed and craziness for us. But other than south beach, all was well.

Collins Ave is just one block away from South Beach or Ocean Drive. Just about every shop or kind of food can be found here. Very pedestrian and bicycle friendly.

Take a walk along Collins. It’s just so iconic it’s hard to explain. Go see the area and you will know what I mean. To me it’s visually stunning and like walking back in time.

A nice thoroughfare to wander along with plenty shops, bars, clubs, hotels and Art Deco buildings. Pretty busy but lots of atmosphere. It’s also just 1 block back from the beach.

Collins is beautiful. Art Deco buildings, art galleries, eateries, hotels, shops, but it’s a far walk from the foubtainbleu (44th Street) to Lincoln Road (17th) so take a free trolley bus. They run every 15 minutes. Remember it’s the trolley, not the buses! That would cost $4.30

Collins is one of the main drags with hotels, restaurants and interesting architecture. Free trolleys as well as bus service is available on almost every corner. Good hotel location.

I love Collins Avenue for its iconic appeal. Having said that it really does suffer from its own popularity. The historic buildings are lovingly preserved in South Beach portion (roughly below 17th Street), but sidewalks are narrow and make for very awkward stroll. During the pandemic you will be better off walking on Washington Ave which is a bit wider. I wonder if it would not be better for the city to make it pedestrian or residential traffic only to allow for safer and more enjoyable walks. Other than that it’s charming in its architectural appeal, locals who always smile and wanna help, quaint little cafes, restaurants and lounges. Be prepared to spend big even on basics like breakfast, or coffee and sandwich. Trolley runs along and it’s free, but we couldn’t see where it stops or how frequently.
Above the 17 Street it becomes wider, but street life gradually disappears giving way to grand hotels that suck out pedestrian traffic. So in that part of town Collins Avenue changes its style and becomes more of a Florida highway A1A. At 63 Street it splits into north and south bound sections, so be mindful when coming back. You can be very easily diverted onto I-95 or onto suburban streets with many bumps. Many new hotels and condos line Collins Avenue in the northern section of the beach, but they appear to be completely void of life from the outside. So while buildings are beautiful there is little one can stop for unless staying in a hotel. You might want to take bottled water with you in the car.

Great street for strolling on warm days, very walkable. Restaurants and bars scattered throughout. We stayed in a condo on this street and were close to everything, and about 1.5 blocks from the beach!

Nice and sad the old mixed with the new more condo’s than before. A must see when visiting South Miami BEACH, especially if you have been there before

Collins Ave. is full of great hotels to chose from and is full of eateries....where should I go? Oh my... choices...choices...choices...all great ones.

Great place to spend the afternoon. Easy to find and even easier to access. Take the free South Beach Trolley.

Collins Avenue is more than just the name of a street. In fact it's much more than just that famous moniker. It's actually a schizophrenic boulevard made up of many different personalities combined under one generic title honouring a former Florida governor long since forgot but for this reverential homage to his family name.

Collins is quite a stretch across Miami Beach. From north to South there’s tons to do. There are many restaurants and shops and beach front access at certain points. Parking can be difficult. There’s a public bus running along the Ave.

There’s quite a bit of construction being done on the road. The seaweed is out of control, even though the water was warm and therapeutic. It was an overall good stay.

My hotel was located on Collins Avenue in the heart of South Beach. Lovely. Collins Avenue is filled with vibrant shopping, dining, and nightlife options. You can find luxury brands at Bal Harbour Shops. You are within close proximity to the beach and the iconic Ocean Drive. Miami has the highest concentration of Art Deco buildings in the USA. A handful of these are located on Collins Avenue.

The place is dotted with numerous hotels and resorts on one side while a gorgeous looking beach on the other side. Beach chairs n towels can be rented out by paying a premium amount else request it from the hotel you staying at.

Plenty of restaurants, bars and a few clubs. Better stores than Lincoln Rd. Safer and easier to walk

Collins was filled with college kids and police. The stores were great, however it was so congested you could barely enjoy it!

Our last stay at the Eden Roc Hotel - Miami last December 25 - 29, 2018 was astounding because we were not expecting our 'room' to be the size of a suite or even a small flat. There was was even a massive balcony that we never had the chance to use because it was quite windy. In any case, overall our stay was superb ! Will stay there again when we next sail from Miami on Royal Caribbean.

Fun to take a walk when the neon signs are lit. In October the streets were not busy. I was more comfortable walking with my husband than alone.

Great scenery, good shopping!! Some of the BEST hotels are on Collins Avenue. Very clean, quite interesting.

There are a few bars and restaurants near our hotel! Good area. Beach access! We checked out the turtle nests on the beach, and had a walk on the boardwalk.

The avenue runs parallel to Ocean Drive. There is everything...shops (of all levels from basic to extremely exclusive), hotels, restaurants, pubs. If Ocean Drive is the postcard of Miami, Collins is the heart.

Busy, buzzy, lively and many tourists, while walking felt safe, lots of shops, restaurants and bars.

Highly recommend for a relaxing beach day. Our beach server Kyle, and his coworkers were on point in making sure we were happy and comfortable. Nothing was overlooked! Thank you!

This is a commercial boulevard by all standards. It is FL State highway A1A and as such, the traffic is fast, reckless and rude. The stores and hotels are all a little shoddier than anything else in South Beach and one serious word of caution. OBEY the walk or do not walk lights! And, look around the corner as you cross. If you are going to get hit by a car, truck or BIKE, it will be at the corner of Collins and (fill in any street).

Highly suggest that this point of interest in Miami be put on your list. It is an all outdoor walking mall with shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, etc.
Family event and allows pets to accompany you.

The beauty and excitement of this place always draws me back time and time again. So much to see, so much to do, so much good food to eat.

Is a very nice place when you can accomodate, very close to the beach and close to the terraces and bars in south beach

Collins Av runs parallel to the world famous Ocean Dr. It's pretty long, running all the way to Hollywood in the north, in fact it's a A1A highway.
The most famous and interesting part is around South beach where you can find many shops and restaurants, and is always full of people with congested traffic.
The further north you go you'll find mainly apartments blocks and hotels.

Collins Avenue is just one of the many streets and areas in Miami where you can find restaurants, shops, and hotels! Something for everyone!

Collins is miles and miles of endless things to do. It has affordable dining all the way to fine dining. Affordable hotels all the way to to 5 star resorts. Collins has it all, in Miami you're going to spend alot of time on it!

Lots of great restaurants and bars! A lot of action! Great people watching! A little pricey, but that was expected.

Best hotel on Collins Ave ! Awesome pool and activities. Awesome view of the ocean or bay and the food and drinks can't be beat !

Loved the free transportation that Miami Beach provides ! So many beautiful sites and people, great restaurants, and beautiful beaches.

Stay on the ocean side of Collins Ave if you can spring for it. Beach and pools for you and then step out the front for restaurants and shops. All walking distance. We stayed at The Shores Resort and explored the areas of South Beach nearby. Excellent food and great beach to walk on.

When in South Beach take a stroll down Collins to enjoy lots of fun.
Food, shopping, entertainment is waiting.

When I first moved to Miami Beach, Collins Avenue had a lot of great stores to shop at. I went to Zara, Steve Madden and others. Unfortunately, everything has closed and there are drug dealers everywhere now. It's just sad how much it declined.

There are many great shops and cafes, it is always so colorful and lively. You need to walk down the collins avenue.

Fast fancy cars and lots of folks wearing bearchware or less. Some of which should not be wearing beach ware in public

Fun to walk along this street as part of the South Beach area. Lots of hotels, restaurants, and bars which are all in walking distance.

I took a walk day and night. Mixed bag of experience. Great shopping, then tourist shops. Great restaurants then poor restaurants. Be patient and you'll find what your looking for...

Plenty to see and do on Collins avenue.
Take the free trolly bus and explore Collins avenue. Jump on/off as required.

We were based in Collins Avenue so we travelled the length on a number of occasions. Named after a founder prominent resident

if you like looking are rare cars and boats this is the spot ,plus if you like to take photos its for the young and old

This hotel needs major updating! The shower is a death trap with two tiled stairs to walk up into the tub!!! The tub was all chilled and gross. The hairdryer caught on fire and singed my hair. Threw it on the ground ( tiled) and flames were still shooting out of it. The staff for the most part is friendly. The beds were very soft and killed our backs. The shower leaked and with those stairs it was scary! There are no restaurants nearby and the included breakfast cost us $30 each. It was a buffet and they included an 18% gratuity for me to serve myself! Unreal. The drinks were $20 for a pina colada which when converted to Canadian was $29 each! The beach was gross with seaweed and garbage everywhere. I’ve been to a lot of resorts where they rake and clean the beach. I didn’t even go in the ocean which was the main reason we stayed there. The pool was dirty and the water was murky. I own a pool and know that just means it needs to be cleaned. So out of the 4 days we were there we spent maybe 20 min in the pool. That was enough for me! Our ocean view room was the view of the building next door and if you cranked your neck you could see the ocean. The excursion we were encouraged to take was disappointing. The bus had no ac and it was 102 outside. I actually ended up with heat exhaustion from it. The boat trip was overcrowded. The sign said no more than 55 and we counted 68. No safety speech was given and they just drove around and said that’s j los house. That’s Ricky Martin’s house. It seemed a little sus to me but hey I was sitting in a corner trying not to pass out or throw up. Then the bus that licked us up was so broken down looking and smelled so bad of exhaust. And of course no ac. They dropped us off at the office. And when I asked how we were getting back to the hotel I was actually yelled at. The driver was so damn rude I was ready to get off the bus and take a cab back. At least I would have had some ac! But I didn’t I just wanted to get back to the hotel. I was so unwell by that point. Nothing that a lot of water and a good nights sleep couldn’t take care of. But I digress! Please don’t stay at this hotel for a HI I was so disappointed with it. It certainly does not look like any of the other HI I have stayed at!

For and area with so many tourists, hotels, and landmarks, the area is dirty, and dated.
Cannot believe the conditions of the sidewalks, streets, and buildings. I have traveled the world and in many areas I felt like I was in a 3rd world country.
Will not recommend a single woman to be by herself in some of the areas at night (shady). By the way everything is overpriced and substandard!

Most of the trendy hotels are situated on Collins Avenue Miami. The trolley is free which offered free transportation on Collins Avenue. Stroll from hotel to the eateries and to the beach.

a lot of various and different choices for food whatever your mood
pleasant for walking and sightseeing
almost all kind of shopping stores

Collins avenue a so crowded and beutiful place,my wife and I love it,so many stores, restaurant .
We realy enjoy

Very lively.
Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Art Deco gone wild.
Like a movie set.
Loaded with people.
Nice place for a stroll and people watching.

I went to the beach at the Fountainbleu hotel and I was assisted by a guy named Zebedee, He set everything up for our cabana and not only did he do a great job setting up he came back to check on us and made sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything more than he already provided. Zebedee is very nice and i can tell he’s a hard worker! so if you ever go to the fountainbleu and want a cabana on the beach ask for Zebedee.

Worth a wander up Collins to see all the old Art Deco properties. Uber’s easy to get. Don’t drive it. Turns one way at some points

We stayed at a hotel on this street. Lots of fun to walk on this street in the evening. Great people watching, loud fancy cars whizzing by. Very busy -- lots of people walking into the evening! Felt safe

This Avenue has a lot of hotels and ssf ome built in the art deco style. It's worth walking around on to see some of the art deco buildings.

Collins Avenue is a beautiful avenue with lovely be h frontage hotels. The various architectural styles is beautiful. A nice drive.

Don't be fooled by the $100 per night refundable deposit. You won't get it back. They have a $66.12 resort fee that will be deducted. But they never mentioned a resort fee. It's technically not a resort since everything closes at 6pm. (Both pool and restaurant). The beach close at 10pm. And nothing is included. Buffet breakfast is $45 per person. Don't stay here. Only reason I gave it a one start is because it won't let you put anything lower!

Definitely have to walk down Collins ave while in South Beach. Alot of cafes and shops and at night some interesting people

As our hotel was on South beach we stepped out of it on to one of the nicest parts of Collins Avenue. Lovely hotels, a variety of shops and an abundance of places to eat well. Yes it is a little expensive but it is a cool place to be and very enjoyable.

Must walk to stop in the shops.Taste the great Miami flavors
Explore the beautiful town & its core
So much to see & get into

It's the touristy thing to do to walk around and check out the restaurants and stores but it's mostly drunk loud people.

This strip of cozy art deco hotels has become the hang out for cruizers. Cars full of people smoking weed and drinking Hennesy from large open containers in cars. Competing loud car stereos and drag racing. So sad for the restaurants and hotels that are going out of business due to the riff raff.

Nothing particularly memorable aboutour walk down Collins Avenue. Our hotel was on Collins, and that was convenient to Ocean Boulevard and Washington Avenue. I don't know if we'd have made an effort to walk Collins if our hotel wasn't located there.

We wanted a nice dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday and chose STK in Miami Beach. Unfortunately, at the last moment, our babysitter cancelled, but we had our hearts set on dining at STK, so we decided to go the "take-out" route. I know, the thought of fine dining via take-out is scary, but we were very pleasantly surprised by our experience. The Tuna Tartare with the taro chips as our appetizer was amazing. My wife, who's not a meat eater but even on HER birthday doesn't deny me a great steak, chose the Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle. She said the pasta was perfectly al dente and the flavor profile was on point, with just the right amount of truffle flavor. Often times the truffle flavor will overpower the rest of the meal, but that was not the case here. I chose the Delmonico and I am still salivating over the perfect char on the outside of the steak, while the internal temperature was cooked to my desired medium rare. I cannot wait to go back for the full in-restaurant dining experience. Thank you STK for a great dinner. Also the Manager Fred Cabrerra was amazing extremely attentive and touching all the tables like a conductor at a world famous symphony!! Handsdown one of the best experience I've had into 2020 and I really needed it. I can't leave out Gabriel my server his recommendation and attention to detail made us feel at home and welcomed!!

My earliest memory of Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida, was in the early 1950s when my vacationing parents took a drive through the area--at midnight. I was amazed at what I saw...street performers and musicians entertaining an endless stream of tourists and locals in a lively atmosphere that you would expect to see at noon, not midnight. Collins Avenue hasn't changed much since then. It remains a major thoroughfare in South Florida, a road lined by palm trees, fashionable homes, trendy restaurants and nightclubs and five-star hotels running parallel and one block west to the Atlantic Ocean in Miami Beach, Florida. It also runs through the glitzy towns of Surfside and Sunny Isles Beach to the north, which didn't exist at the time of my last visit. Named for John S. Collins, a developer who completed Miami's first bridge in 1913, the Collins Bridge that connects Miami Beach to the mainland across Biscayne Bay. Today, Collins Avenue is home to many historic Art Deco hotels, including the Morris Lapidus-designed Fontainebleau and Eden Roc. Between 41st and 62nd streets, Collins Avenue is known as "Millionaires Row," a reference to Indian Creek, a private island adjacent to the boulevard that is occupied by a few billionaires, including Latin singer Julio Iglesias and Ivana Trump and Jared Kushner. For a change of pace, the annual Miami International Boat Show occurs on Collins Avenue.

Very noisy rooms. You can hear everything going on in the rooms around you and on the street. We didn't complain as we read the reviews and knew that some people also thought it was also noisy but we didn't realize how noisy. Next time we will choose elsewhere so we can get some zzzzzz.

It’s a lovely long avenue with beautiful hotels, resteraunts and lovely cars driving up and down and the people are awesome. What a lovely place to be.

This avenue is longer than you think and in the heat you will need to stop and have a drink. There are so many stores, which are ideal for shopping for all budgets. A lot of hotels and impressive houses are also along this avenue which make for good sightseeing as well. A popular place for people to stay.

If you stay on Collins Avenue it’s a very busy street. People walking everywhere. Wall to wall hotels shops bars and restaurants. A few galleries and museums. Buses and the free trolley running up and down all day, motorbikes, skateboards, bicycles and all manner of people posing in their jeeps, super cars and convertibles.
It’s very clean, often windy, as you are one street off the ocean, but a Miami landmark not to be missed.
If you like noise, and busy streets this is the place to be in Miami.

skip ocean drive and go down Collins instead....just as many restaurants and easier to navigate....great to see all the other hotels and do some shopping

Colin's Avenue is very attractive walking and driving street, near the hotels and .parallel to the beach. It's very busy area and had lots of shopping and restaurants there.

Nice walk. Many different shops and good photo opportunities. This is one of the main streets so there are also a lot of hotels here as well

I felt very safe walking down this street and although it is full of hotels and shops it still offers a nice walk. also the Free Trolley passes from here making it convenient if you get tired.

Nice location one block from the beach, but I wouldn’t consider this the spot for young kids. It’s a lot going on and a very fast pace environment. Small kids have to be very careful because there is a lot of movement going on.

Lots going on but the traffic is chaos - far busier than my last visit.
Be prepared to not find a parking spot and be frustrated driving around. Suffering from its own popularity

plenty of places to eat & drink along here also the main place to catch a frequent bus to downtown S or 120

Just arrived back very disappointed with this hotel room was very dated but worse of all are balcony overlooked very noisy fan heaters which we could here in the room all night and we certainly couldn't sit outside thought a hurricane was on its way it was that noisey they called this a complimentary upgrade!!! Only because nobody else wanted it! We complained as soon as we arrived about the noise the receptionist was very rude and said would get back to us but never did keep away from this hotel. In need of massive refurb.

enjoy the collins avenue with free shuttle bus and hop on hop off and drive e.g. till 72 street and go eating at Manolo: they have the best price/performance relation: big quanteties and good quality...becuase of that it is often crowded and you need to wait sometimes 15 min to get in

Corey and Jeorge were the best employees here I loved it I’m coming back ! Great service food and drinks were amazing

It’s a must if you’re in LA . Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the view. It’s extraordinary- every single person should go to LA and see it

This is a great place to stroll through whatever your age 1 to 100 year olds can have fun all amusements shops and eateries were of a high quality .
It is a mix of international drive come blackpool it can be as expensive as you wish just looking around is fun as many of the big shows spill onto the foot paths . The avenue leads down to the falls be aware its a good climb back up.
If you want soft drinks etc slip into side streets you can save 2 dollars per bottle .

A pretty well traveled road with heaps of hotel condominiums and restaurants. It worked really well even during Peak hour

Some people say that, if visiting Miami Beach, Collins Av is a must have...and above all is where to stay. I personally found it a disgraceful place, noisy, loud, chaotic with no appeal as had expected to find. He did remind me some kind of colorful circus...there is no class nor elegance at Collins Av. I reckon it is a must see...but I think it too much to consider it iconic as some people say. And that is a pity...because there are some very nice buildings and spots that are perhaps undervalued...and do instead deserve more attention and relevance.

Lovely area especially seeing the yachts berthed. Lots of shops and eating places which would satisfy any taste.

You can find just about anything on Collins Ave. From expensive ethnic restaurants to fast food, boutiques, ice cream, jewelry, hotels, drug stores and there is a FREE trolley to take along Collins Ave & beyond...oh and wait till you see (and sometimes hear) the exotic cars!

I love shopping on Collins between 7th Street and 5th Street but some of my favourite shops are closing down such as Victoria’s Secret. It’s more quiet than Lincoln Mall and the shopping experience is therefore more relaxing. Some good shoe bargains at the Steve Madden outlet and a very good H & M store.

Collins avenue runs parallel with Ocean Drive, hence being a bit more away from the crazy area and has lots of hotel that are supposed to be quieter. My partner was about to book such a hotel but I persuaded him to chose great views over the ocean, Ocean drive and Miami from our tall hotel rather be woken up every night by drunken people returning from Ocean Drive.
There is also a supermarket close to the intersction with 2nd avenue, if you are based near southern part of Ocean drive, where you can purchase your drinks, fruits, icecream etc but do not expect much conversation if you do not have basic Spanish. The second place you could buy the above would be at Wallgreens in Ocean Drive.
As Collins avenue is a rather long road, we took it from north near Aventura mall, as we came south to our hotel, the northern part is a wide road with lots of tall buildings and rather elegant, only transforming itself into an Art Deco area in Ocean Drive part.
Quieter, equally beautiful, in the southern part - this is the place for you though if you sleep and snore even through a tornado.

There's a variety of restaurants that cater to everyone from people on a budget to splurging on a meal.

Nice to walk around after dark. Lot’s of sundry shops and restaurants. Good place to see women in bikinis all hours of the night. Lots of restaurants.

They charge hidden fees that make the place quite expensive. Tried to cancel due to the hidden fees and they charged me $320 to cancel a charge I never authorized in the first place.
Go elsewhere.

I need to return this road is long and catered to every one taste. You can't be hungry. Needs some new clothes simple forgot to bring something it's all there. When will be my next trip

Apart from the lovely Beach Cafe which we highly recommend there are no other outstanding eating places.
There is a supermarket which is worth a visit.

When staying in town for a conference, Collins Avenue is where it all happens.
Most of us found lodging in Collins Ave, and Loews was a second hub with a great pool and a bar area that certainly got a lot of use by conference attendees.
Plenty of brilliant restaurants and bakeries available when going for a walk and ocean views from some apartments.
Walking distance to conference facilities too.

We walked this strip a few times while visiting and it's just a fun place. You meet and see some fun people. Did a little shopping too. Of course I did.

We stayed at the nearby little Villa Italia Hotel and walked Collins Ave looking for s dinner spot and a little last minute precruise shopping. It is a clean , pleasant Ave with a tropical look.

Our hotel was located on Collins Drive. There is a free trolley that takes you up and down the strip. Lots of great shops, hotels and restaurants.

There are great buildings with nice architecture along this street. There are many shops and restaurants as well. Some lovely palm trees and nice landscaping at many hotels.

You must drive down Collins Ave. It is lined with beautiful hotels. One is more beautiful than the next. There are very large modern structures and some older more Art Deco looking places. It is a long drive. There are sidewalks if you want to walk. You also could walk along the beach side. There is a walking path and parks to sit in.

Walked the strip early Monday morning to see what was happening. Passed by bacon bitch and went into rainbows found a crazy discount on some shoes. We stayed at the marlin so most times we sat outside and looked to see what Miami had to offer, just enjoy the breeze. This strip had a lot to offer too hotels, bars, clubs, and lounges.

I am not sure why people go shopping like they do when they are on vacation, but if this is what you want to do in sunny SoFla, then this is a good place to do it I suppose.

Primo market and Cafe offers great convenience at 39th and Collins. They have great Cuban sandwiches and empanadas as well as a great backery. It the cleanest nicest small convenience market I have been to. The staff is very attentive and fast. They have tables out front to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the go.

This is the last streets before the beach from and span the whole of Miami beach front. Lots and lots of stylish art deco buildings and a nice area. Quiet. There are some restaurants in it

Had spent our first trip at Blanc Kara. South of 5th. Very chill. Quiet. Second trip - north of 5th. Entirely different place. Like switching on a light. Crowds - jubilant boarding on more than that. Age difference is noticeable. Collins - a street that offers more than one vibe. Choose accordingly.

Definitely a lot to see as this is a very popular area in Miami beach. Shopping and restaurants ar your fingertips.

This street is just with full of shop. I like the style and how it is looks like. You can find many restaurant.

I really liked this avenue. We were in a hotel in Collins and really liked the surroundings. It has everything and is a very beautiful place

This location is full of beautiful people, beautiful cars, along with beautiful weather living a beautiful life....

If you love the hustle and bustle of the city, then this is the street to be on. Our hotel was right on Collins Avenue so we spend countless hours exploring the street and checking out the different places to eat and hang out. If you love people watching, you'll definitely see all types of interesting characters. It was fun.

Another great place to see Art Nouveau architecture. Much busier than Ocean Drive as Collins is a main road with many eateries and shops running down it. The northern end has some large 1930's hotels. Probably more varied architecture than Ocean Drive. Look out for Essex House which resembles a cruise ship.

My wife and I made plans to stop here fro an overnight rest before driving to Key West for several days. At arrival we did the valet parking. Then into the front desk to check in. We were greeted by Mitch the GM. Great guy and made small talk during check in, a staff member came by the front desk to speak with Mitch and also spoke with us and offer to even take us up to the room. The entire staff are so warm and friendly, take seem to take great care in the job and greeting other guest.
We ran out for a late lunch then returned to head up to a roof top pool, at arrival it was great no one but us, surprising. They have music playing to relax to and we notice a bar menu. So we called down to place the order and the gentlemen states that they don't normally bring up drinks or have a service for the pool but offered to bring us ours. Outstanding service, that evening before heading to diner we stopped back by the lobby bar and Martin ( Bartender ) was still working so we had a few drinks at the bar before heading out. He recommended several places and he nailed it.
The rooms are spotless and the decor is awesome, so modern...... We would like to think the entire staff for job well done, and the outstanding service they showed us.
When in Miami we will return here for sure, great location.

If you wish to enjoy peace and quietness this is not the place to be . Music very loud, Park rangers using golf carts running on diesel, Bouchers Brothers who run the chairs concession on the beach driving as fast as possible, the sirens on and every equipement running with a motor and creating pollution that you could not even imagine. Florida and Miami Beach havea long way to go to be nature friendly.

Like stepping back in time to the art deco days of The Great Gatsby ! One building and hotel lobby is neater than the next . Also along Collins , alot of authentic cuisine available such as pizza and beautiful Italian bakery , Rosetta - the goodies displayed in their storefront window will surely stop you in your tracks ! Looks like a pretty healthy lifestyle here - you can walk off your almond tart while soaking in the sights :)

We walked mainly in the North side of Collins Ave. from 64th street up. You can catch the trolley to see North, Middle and South Beach, it's free! There are many restaurants of different ethnics, say Columbian, Cuban and so forth. Many souvenirs shops too! Access to beach and parks. Lovely!

On Collins Avenue you will find most of the nicest hotels in Miami Beach, Bars, stores and will be entertained by the people passing by, not to mention that the beach access is super close.

This street has a lot of great restaurants and hotels but it is very overbuilt, as is much of Miami Beach, but I still really liked it and it is worth a visit.

People everywhere, crappy drivers and incessant traffic. Not the best place in the world unless you have time to kill.

Collins was a block from my hostel so I spent time up and down the trolley route. Drivers were very helpful. I felt safe during the day and early evening.

This is my favorite strip and the perfect location. I love that you are in the heart of south beach. The famous W where I love to stay. The beach, the strip and the nightclubs all at your fingertips. You are 10 min walking distance to Lincoln Rd and Ocean Dr.

Definitely worth visiting and taking a walk here Stores and a lot of Cubans talking Spanish. Go here

when we visit South Beach we stay on Collins Avenue by 17th Street at the Hotel Marseilles - middle of everything and you can walk almost everywhere on the strip...restaurants are pricey but the food is great wherever you decide to dine! Go and have fun...lots to do on the strip!

Collins Avenue, partly co-signed State Road A1A, is a major thoroughfare in southern Florida. The road runs parallel to the Atlantic Ocean in Miami Beach, Florida, one block west. It is busy area.my hotel was in Collins Avenue and I enjoyed walking in this area.
It safe area,There are many resturants ,shops and hotels in this area.It might be noisy if you are on the southern end of collins. You must see in Miami beach.

This was such a great location! Just a 1 minute walk to the beach, and loved the restaurant connected to the hotel that was open until 11pm! The staff was friendly and location was clean. The manager was very nice and helpful.

Never again! Homeless people everywhere, garbage everywhere, no decent shopping! Not a place for children or teenagers!

There's everything to be had on this Avenue. From shopping to food. The stores are wonderful with great deals and the food is awesome. Night life is truly alive and the place felt so safe. Walking in a strange place was not overwhelming as the people I crossed path with were very welcoming. I'll revisit this place again without hesitation.

A must if going to Miami Beach seeing all the life from restaurants to shops and the amazing Art Deco buildings

Only restaurant and beach no shopping around here very limited stores but nice place the food was good , Chinese restaurants were always closed or just pick up food

This is probably one of the more famous streets in Miami Beach the late Arthur Godfrey immortalized. There are many tourist shops here where one can buy postcards and maps as well as noticing the number of retired people who live here.

Loved walking down this road, it had so much to see. So saw so many expensive cars driving down the road. Great vibe

We stayed on the avenue to 2 nights before we went on a cruise. Hotel was small, but nice. We did the open top bus, which picked us up outside our hotel, and then drove down nearly all of Collins Avenue. So much to see and do, and only a few yards from South Beach. Well worth visiting

This is a good street to walk along to admire Art Deco buildings, particularly at the South Beach end.

Art Deco buildings. Get your camera out. Pretty to see during night time. Lots of dollars in this area

There are tons of beautiful and interesting hotels all along Collins Avenue, in addition to cafes and stores and places to hang out. We enjoyed going into lots of the famous hotels, seeing their lobbies and pools, and just wandering around.

I hear from hotel about shopping.
They said, here’s good shopping area. But I think so so.
I saw the A/X,UGG,....not so many.
ホテルの人にショッピングについて聞くとこの通りを勧められましたが、あまりショップが無く今ひとつでした。
暑いしモールに行った方が良いと思いました。

Great architecture, so much to see. All types of folks out and about. My son loved seeing all of the expensive and exotic cars that were around. Nice hotels and restaurants everywhere.

Our hotel was on Collins Avenue and atmosphere of the avenue was great. Plenty of nice hotels and restaurants.

Mostly residence and hotel buildings take place in this avenue. It is a very long way, it basically covers the whole Miami beach from south tô north, including the acesses tô all islands. Nice avenue, you can find any kind of store here.

Great location but nothing compared to the service! The front desk staff was on top of it my entire stay there. There was even a wedding party that Mother Nature wanted to have her way with and the AC Hotel staff was all over it.
Maria was incredible, efficient and effective at coordinating many request and needs all while making suggestions to make it better. In a world or declining customer service, AC Marriott on Collins Ave is completely different. Superstars of customer service and I will definitely be back!

You are in the city and one street away from the beach. The best of both worlds. This a major artery to the various sites from Lincoln Road Mall to Ocean Drive. There are many stores and paharmacies situated on this Avenue. It is an ideal location to access Ocean Drive if you stay at an address close to 400 - 1500 Collins Avenue.

Another main street of South beach but has a bit calmer vibe than the eccentric Ocean Drive. Plenty of cool shops and restaurants to check out for a change of pace.

Collins Ave is busy -- you get to see many restaurants, stores and Hotels. I would recommend you walk the path behind the hotels along the ocean front instead.

Staying here pre cruise and was actually quite liked it...had loads of sights to look at with the lovely beach on one side and the river inlet on the other side of the hotel with the big boats to look at. There’s also a tram that runs up and down Miami Beach/Collins ave and ocean drive which is a easy and free way to get about.

Loved Collins avenue, a lot of streets, restaurants and shops! you can go from here to Lincoln Road with the Miami Trolly for free, take the blue one and if you have doubts, ask the driver, they're nice and kind people

It is a busy street with many hotels, shops, and restaurants! Location is convenience. Not far to the beach! At night, full of lights!

You have got to take like a whole day to walk down, if possible, the entire collins ave! It’s a lovely (long) walk, lots of hotels to look at (Art Deco like), lots of restaurants and cute bars, lots of shops of all kinds; from the 20th down you’ll find more popular spots like local shops, bakeries, nail salons, drugstore stores and touristic stuff.. from the 20th “up” things get a bit less pedestrian so to speak and shops more upscaled as well! Love the multi brand ones by the way! On Collins you see lots of tourists and all kinds of people but the vibe is just great like everyone appreciates living or visiting Miami Beach - which we all should indeed! 😉

The avenue where to go in Miami
Full of restaurants, fashion stores, public gardens and everything.
It's must in Miami.

There is surveillance video throughout the complex, including one outside the door of the room I rented. It has a spectacular view. I really like being there.

There is so much to see and do. Beach access is a half block away, with a boardwalk or wide paved path adjoining the beach, going for many miles. A free trolley shuttles people all along Collins Av. Lots of hotels, resorts, shops. And restaurants.

Strip is nice with plenty of hotels, clubs, bars, attractions and it's one block from the beach. Very busy area with a whole lot of action. Very nice area.

Of all the places I’ve been in the world I’ve never disliked somewhere as much as this area.
The area is grubby and tired and certainly not what I was expecting from Miami (I obviously didn’t do my homework!)
We were meant to stay for a week but lasted less than 24 hours
I’m sure some people love it but it certainly wasn’t for us. We were travelling with 2 teenagers who felt very uncomfortable and unsafe being there.
It’s an overpriced but low quality area
Please do your research before visiting to make sure it’s for you

Choose hotel on Collins Ave (1500-1700). It is close to everything. Runs parallel to Washington Ave & Ocean Drive, cross street Espanola Way & Lincoln Mall. Walking distance to tons of restaurants, the Beach, Shopping district, parking, etc. It's a win win.

Collins Ave has become seedy and feels unsafe at night. The crowd is lawless and makes visiting nerve wracking and not pleasurable. Where are peoples manners? The city needs to step in and clean things up before this is irreversible. The Beachwalk at night is dangerous and we were approached closely multiple times even during the day. Bongs and lots of open bottles hard liquor on the beach.

Collins is where a lot of the hotels are and close to the beaches. Some parts are great some parts look ok. the area by the 19th street was best and lower streets.

Collins runs up and down ( from north to south ) all of Miami Beach and is lined up with hotels, shops, Bars, Night clubs, restaurants, apartment building and such. Its a wonderful street to take a walk any time of day or night and simply do some sight seeing. In some areas you will see both the ocean and the inter coastal waterways with the small boats to the mega yachts passing by.

Zebedee was such a great help, because of him I really enjoyed my day. He was very helpful and came to check up on me and all my friends! He got everything we needed and was generous. He should most definitely get a raise because how hard he works!

I've been to Miami about five times now, and have always stayed on Collins Ave. Lots of shops, nice hotels, restaurants and shops. Everything is within walking distance.

This street is very fun to walk along. Lots of shops and restaurants along the way. The people watching is the best!

I spent a week on Collins Ave in June 2021 and the city is moving as usual with great foods and shops. The beach is always available during open hours. There is a bit of construction going through Mid beach but the hotels and locations are worth a bit of traffic. Please don't hesitate to visit the beach this year.

Really nice to walk along here to take in all the beautiful buildings and Hotels,,also great choice of places to stop off at, for coffee, drinks or bite to eat,as your meander along to the shops.
Lots of little stalls selling jewellery and hand made goods, for those of us looking out for gifts.
You certainly see some amazing cars, and beautiful people.

Another main street in Miami Beach - Collins Ave offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Parking can be a bit challenging if you don't look into it beforehand.

You have many streets in Miami which look simular. This you can remark about many USA coastel towns. The architects a century ago put effort in desiging buildins. All over Miami Beach nice examples of the Art deco style can be found. Walk, look around and enjoy!!!

Allens Avenue is a pretty long and busy street. On the south end there is some shopping. Zara H&M Armani Exchange Adidas etc. hotels restaurants etc. I normally stay on 39th and Collins where it’s quiet located a block. Away from the actual ocean. 🤘🏾
Walking offers so much more than driving this road. Lots of art décor buildings spilling over from Ocean Drive and lots of high end shops interspersed with good tourist bargains.
