This is a well maintained park with a nice pond with ducks, Although there are signs no feeding the ducks many children were laughing and running around the pond to see the ducks. Some benches around the pond and a carousel for your enjoyment.

Every small town in America should be so lucky to have an historic park like Congress within it's city limits. This 17 acre park is idyllic with beautiful gardens, fountains, mineral springs and a small stream that flows thru the property. The historic (1870) Canfield Casino is here as well as a carousel and a war memorial built later in 1932. The history of the park is very interesting and should not be missed on a trip to Saratoga Springs.

A lovely park smack in the middle of Saratoga, with mineral spring fountains bubbling up, benches to sit on.... just opposite the Visitor's Center- a perfect spot for looking over brochures and planning your time here. Also a great place for children to run and play, and for adults to rest their feet and enjoy the bird life and greenery.

Victorian architecture, gardens, an antique carousel, pathways to walk, what more could you wish for to help you to relax in the middle of the hustle and bustle of even as lovely as a city as Saratoga? Congress Park answers all of your wishes when it comes to a place for relaxation, calm and a joyful experience.

The park is right at the beginning of the strip of restaurants and shops and has a lovely old fashioned sign. There are several water features in the park and a lovely war memorial.
Also located in the park are three of the open springs in the area (another one is located right outside the park). Make sure to bring a cup to try, but don't be surprised at the metallic tastes. One is fresh water and you can fill a bottle.
The park also has the old casino which is now the historical society and a charming indoor merry-go-round that only costs $1 to ride.

Just an all over nice place to be. Friendly atmosphere. Lots of shops for skinny people but unfortunately the shops don't Taylor to the average or larger sizes.

What a beautiful park with so much greenery and history. Even had a few of the different springs for you to sample. Much check it out.

Amidst all the hustle and bustle of downtown Saratoga Springs is the lovely Congress Park, a great place to relax and rewind by one of the ponds with ducks. Big kid at heart or have the kids, ride the carousel in the park. Canfield Casino, an historic 1870s gambling casino named a National Historic Landmark contains a fun and entertaining museum. It is now not only a museum but also a place for weddings, festive parties or movies: Seabiscuit. Adding to the fun 'Spit and Spat'. Picnic in the park? There are plenty of restaurants nearby that will put up a delicious picnic.

I pretty Park to take a long walk or simply relax in. Duck pond, statues, beautiful trees and flowers. So peaceful.

If you are looking for a nice relaxing walk while learning some history this place is for you. I enjoyed a walk through Congress Park viewing the various springs and monuments and watching the ducks on the ponds.

We spent most of our time following a hawk trying to snatch dinner from the numerous ducks in the ponds and streams set in the landscaped lawns. It was the end of great foliage, so even though the ducks were still winning when we left, we had a pleasant late afternoon there.

Beautiful fountains, landscape, ponds, and several springs. Most taste nasty from the mineral water. Some say the water has great health benefits.

Music on track "dark days" Lots of fun. Lots of families there. Benches available, but you can bring a chair.

Congress Park is a quaint little Park located in the main part of town in Saratoga Springs. Pretty to see but since it's small it's only a quick walk through. There was a jazz band setting up to play one night when we were there - didn't get a chance to hear them but the concert was free. I understand there is also free Shakespeare in the Park during part of July as well. The Park is not worth a special trip, but nice to see if you're already in town.

Congress park is a nice place to stroll and take a break. It fits with the mansion district of all the Victorian wooden mansions in Saratoga

Congress Park is not the kind of park with swings and slides, but it is a beautiful Victorian park with curated plantings of trees and other botanical features that is restful and lovely. The creek and ponds are full of city ducks; they want your picnic, but don’t let them have it! The ducks waddle around downtown Saratoga, stopping traffic in a cute way. The park features a vintage carousel and a beautiful building/museum that harkens back to Saratoga’s heyday as the Queen of Spas. There is ample shade and room to play. In July, look for the annual Shakespeare in the park offering. Parking can be a challenge, but an afternoon spent reading or throwing a frisbee in Congress Park is a great way to get to know Saratoga Springs.

Smaller sized park right off the Main Street. Several fountains with mineral spring water to sample. Stop at Visitors Center across the street on Broadway to get info about the park and springs. They will also give you small paper cups to sample the mineral springs.

Located in the center of town, beautifully landscaped features an antique carousel, fountains the historic Canfield Casino and several water features and a war memorial. The park is perfect for a leisurely stroll, letting the kids play or just watching the ducks. It’s also a nice place to take a break from all the downtown shopping.

Very nice to sit and read.old time carosel ride that the children will really enjoy.a number of great resturant s within walking distance

This is an historic place. Makes you feel like its the 1800s. Don't be afraid to try the spring waters.

Set in downtown, this is a nice park to visit. Take a walk, have a picnic, relax and enjoy nature etc. This park has much to offer - - history, grass, trees, flowers and landscaping, ponds, fountains, mineral springs drinking fountains, walking paths, ducks, statues, carousel etc. Photos are available online. Enjoy!

Gorgeous, calming, peaceful to walk around or sit and relax... mineral springs... classical carousel.

The landscaping is so beautiful. My nephews enjoyed the duck, water and the old time Carousel. Only $1.00 to ride.

This is a very lovely little park, not to be missed. We are new to the area and have been playing tourist and are delighted with the natural, small town places to go. The park closes at dusk but is one of the nicest areas for an early evening stroll after dinner.

Congress Park is center stage in Saratoga Springs..Concerts..weddings..walking with the kids or just lounging around....just a great way to spend some time away from the traffic and crowds... has restored carousel and casino museum...kids will like the ducks best!

Congress park has always been a place of serenity. Just a beautiful place to sit and feel the peace of the sanctuary.

A great green space with lovely gardens and ducks in several ponds. We loved the new hatchlings. Beautiful houses around the park to enjoy. The history museum was closed but the building was beautiful.

Historic Congress Park in the heart of Saratoga Springs is certainly worth a visit. It features 2 mineral springs (bring your own cup for tasting). There are monuments, and statues. There are beautiful flowers and large leafy trees. There are many ducks. There are lots benches on which to rest, read and relax. There is a magnificent carousel, a treat for all ages. There is the Canfield Casino which houses The Saratoga Springs History Museum. The natural beauty of this spot is enhanced by the meticulous care provided by the staff who are part of the Department of Public Works. No wonder this spot is so popular with tourists, as well as locals.

I have lived in Saratoga for over 15 years and this park never gets old. It is like something out of a postcard. Well manicured and truly beautiful, the iconic springs which were here for decades have also been preserved in case you want to load up on some water to preserve your youthfulness. Would definitely recommend visiting! And just steps away from B'way, a main walking strip in Saratoga Springs.

Enjoying strolling through Congress Park with my friends and trying the spring water.
Once you finish with the park, you can go straight into the main district to shop the unique stores, many geared to horse racing. Plenty of good restaurants too.

Clean and enjoyable park setting- lots of great picture opportunities- lovely ponds- ducks- the carousel is a must- $1.00 rides- very relaxing- lovely landscaping

This is a beautiful little park that is decorated nicely with statues and fountains. The walking paths are all interesting, and there's a beautiful carousel that can be used in any weather

Lovely park and carosel. Ben and Jerry's up the street. Public restrooms nearby. Very nice park. You can usually find free parking, but we had to pay $8 on a concert night.

Spent some time enjoying the WWII memorial and feeding the ducks. Great location for a peaceful respite in the town itself.

We took a quick walk around the park upon our arrival into town for the first time. It was a nice, clean park. Since it was a bit chilly still, the ponds and fountain were still drained. They have an indoor carousel, which is cool. Would be nice to see it in the Summer.

Very well maintained park with many natural spring fountains. Taste the waters of each as they very greatly in taste. We took small paper cups with us. Be sure to ride the carousel. Unbelievably it is only a dollar

This park is great. Beautiful paths, buildings, carousel. If you're walking from the track to town, or vice versa, don't take the sidewalk - stroll through this park. You won't be disappointed.

We loved sampling water from the various springs and walking amidst the pond and water fowl. There's a very happy vibe in the park that is contagious. Check it out to see what I mean!

Me and my family took a nice walk in the park today during the snowfall. The various springs throughout the park are neat. We all enjoyed playing in the snow.

Such a wonderful, peaceful park to rest or take a walk. We were fortunate to stay close by. I enjoyed it every day, morning and evening.

Worth the time, very interesting. A great place to see. The history is very interesting. The tour guides are knowledgeable and interesting.

This park is very well kept and beautiful. It has 4 different natural seltzer springs you can try. If you go across the street to the info building they will give you cups. The park also has an antique Merry Go round for a small fee.

We love to visit new parks when we travel and we walked our dog Zoey through this park and we all enjoyed the lovely grounds, statues and art like buildings. There is also a carousel but both times we were there it was not working.

I had a few extra minutes and decided to walk through Congress Park. It was a great park with natural springs throughout. And the ducks were nice to the people.

What a beautiful park!! It feels like you stepped back in time! The grounds are just breathtaking! A few of the springs are within walking distance. A great place to photograph!

What a nice centerpiece for the town of Saratoga Springs. It is well worth the time spent wandering through the park to appreciate the landscaping and memorial structures, even a beautiful carousel enclosed in a building! The loveliness of this park is a real tribute to the town.

Great city. Spent week there. Highly recommend walking through Congress Park, History, Racing, Dance & Auto Museums. Horse track fun. Restaurants very good.

Congress Park is a little slice of history in the middle of the city. There is a historic Casino from the late 1800's that now is a museum dedicated to it's history, beautiful sculptures and fountains, Mineral Springs to cure what ails you and 2 beautiful ponds. There's a historic carousel and paths to stroll all the beautiful grounds. You can almost feel the Victorian ladies and gents taking a stroll!

A lovely lovely park to stroll, visit, sit, enjoy. Also, you must taste test each fountain- they all taste different. We were reluctant to try the spring water but after talking with locals and museum personnel- we did and we're fine! Each fountain does taste different - Hathorn fountain packs a punch so be warned. Deer park was okay and the best tasting (as far as I'm concerned) was the Congress Park. Loved this park and would definitely go back again.

So comforting and a place to feel special. Saratogians stop and talk to everyone. It is like living in another world.

Nice walk around. Beautiful sculpture and art. Recommend walking around on streets back off of park to see neighborhood.

It is a small area to stroll in but has lots of greenery, shady areas, benches, fountains, ponds with ducks, a staircase, a memorial, and two sides of parking in the middle of the park on a Thursday.
Nevertheless, it is the perfect place to walk around in after lunch!

Great little park to walk around, picnic, watch the ducks. A couple of mineral fountains are working so you can fill your own container.

This is a large park, with statues, ponds, fountains and plenty of places to sit. It's well maintained and clean. There is a carousel, but my friend and I didn't explore the entire park. I wish I had, but what portion we did see was lovely. I think it would be a great place to have a picnic or to take the kids.

Every trip to Saratoga should include a stroll through Congress Park. The gazebos, the ducks, the statues, Spit & Spat, the fountains, ahhhh. Every time through, I say, I want to live here. So peaceful!

The particular attractions of this modest-sized park are the buildings in it---little pavilions above the mineral springs, as in the photo, a casino and the historical museum, and a charming carousel. I'd call this good and definitely better than average, but not actually VERY good.

Been to Saratoga 100 times but never had the chance to walk thru this park until now.We took our grandson and really enjoyed the surroundings. Very relaxing as we walked near all the water fountains and the tons of geese/ducks. The highlight was a ride on the carousel.

In a beautiful sunny day, visit to Congress Park when in Saratoga Springs is must. Walking and sitting in the park definite gives mind a peace.

This park boasts the only non-sulfur-smelling spring in Saratoga Springs. It is also visible to passers by on the main drag, and is a large enough manicured green space to lose yourself in, away from the hustle of the touristy strip of restaurants and shops.

Beautiful scenes and close to restaurants and The Casino. Plenty of shady areas and benches.
Warning! Do not park near park if sign says NO STANDING! You will get ticket like we did.

The park is a wonderful place to sit and rest, to hear music, share a picnic meal, even have a carousel ride, ot sample the spring waters. It's not a big park , but it's just right for the city and its citizens .

We walked from our hotel to this lovely park. The landscape is beautiful with easy walking paths for any age. The park itself is not very large but worth seeing if you are in the area. There was an historic carousel that was quite interesting as well as some monuments, ponds and fountains

Congress Park is one of Saratoga's gems. It's small, well laid out, and a delight, particularly in the warm weather. It's a great place for break in between exploring Saratoga's main street - and all its wonderful restaurants. You can feel the history of this lovely small city all around you.

The Park is well cared for and very pretty. Lovely to walk around; rest; relax. We also bicycled through it. Buildings and flowers and trees are beautiful. Great atmosphere. Easy to walk to from town.

Wonderful park to just walk and take in nature amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown Saratoga Springs. Be sure to visit the many monuments!

Beautiful park with various sculptures, ponds, and old buildings. The paths are nicely curvy "organic" shapes.

We had the opportunity to visit Congress Park in Saratoga as a photo backdrop for our Granddaughter's Senior Prom. We took some great photos of the kids at the fountains and the wooden carousel.

Beautiful park with tons to see. amazing 200 year old spring water tap. Nice statues and scenery. We loved our walk through it!

This is a lovely little park filled with history and working springs. At each turn it is picturesque. It is easy to walk the whole park taking in the beautiful views. The park is located in the center of town right off the main shopping and restaurant area.

Walking around Congress Park is like stepping back in time to a bygone era of sophistication, opulence and landscape appreciation. I could almost imagine seeing women with parasols and men in top hats strolling on a summer afternoon. There are ponds (with many ducks), well maintained walking pathways, specimen trees, sculptures, a reflecting pool, gazebos and plenty of lawn space. On the day I visited (a warm, late-Spring afternoon), the park was full of people (all ages from teens, families with young children, seniors, couples, etc.) walking, sitting on blankets enjoying a pick-nick or chatting under one of the pleasant gazebos. The park’s close proximity to Broadway is a bonus allowing one to enjoy a hearty meal followed by a most pleasant stroll.

A beautiful park, no matter what time of year. Lovely area for picnicking and photography. Also....I really enjoy the Shakespeare in the Park that is there (free for all who attend) in July.

Congress Park is located across from the Visitors Center in downtown Saratoga Springs. It is a nice place to stop for a bit of shade and break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Saratoga Springs. Plenty of benches, statues, and fountains to check out.

The statues, near by springs, and ducks are not to be missed. Bring some bread and feed the ducks! This serene park is bathed in natural beauty and breathtaking statues. The Victoria carousel is a beautiful reminder of a bygone era! I highly recommend visiting this park and relaxing with your family!

I had some time to kill while my husband was in meetings, and stumbled upon this gorgeous park. It was particularly beautiful with all the leaves starting to turn and fall. I only wished I had some bread to feed all the ducks!

We love strolling through Congress Park. The paths take you around all of the beautiful springs. Our kids love the old school carousel. It is still only $1 to ride. And, there is also plenty of seating around the park.
Definitely worth a visit.

A perfectly lovely park where you can relax, have a picnic, listen to music on some summer evenings (and even plays), enjoy a stroll and watch the ducks.

Nice park with a walking path throughout. There are multiple spots to sit down and people watch or watch the ducks swim. Close to the downtown area and easy to get to.

Close to downtown nice walking trail and kids carousel plus a nice garden worth the time to do some exploring

We had a stroll on this small park on a sunny day. DuckS are all over the place. On the water and on land. Even baby ducks! Ducks are boldly walking in the middle of paved paths seemingly oblivious to the people all around.
People are feeding the ducks although signs Explains why they should not be. Duck Overpopulation.
The park has a small war memorial updated to the Afghan and Iraqi conflict. Continuous flow of drinking(?) spring water are on a number of spots attesting to the name of the town.
At the back of the dead end of the main road, about a thousand feet straight up from the gate, is a good spot for souvenir photo seekers (on Circular St.) A sculpture of a jockey onboard a horse on a full gallop with the inscription "Welcome to Saratoga Springs."

We spent time walking through the park and sitting on the benches watching the world go by. The park is full of people and also many hilarious ducks. Yes, the ducks are beggars, but if you ignore them they will wander off. The park is well landscaped and maintained. It is a lovely oasis in downtown Saratoga Springs.

Lovely Oasis in downtown Saratoga, features include mineral springs and a merry go round.Beautiful plants

clean park in downtown city...felt safe...pretty fountains...free parking throughout the city....it's fun to ride the carousel and also a memorable experience to take a sip of the mineral water...

This is a choice in stopping and smelling the roses. Great park, statues and ponds, and on some nights and afternoons they have events here. Bands and plays I understand are scheduled throughout the summer months. Anyway, a peaceful and relaxing time will be remembered I'm sure. I loved the time just getting off the beaten track and doing well, nothing. Safe and clean make this a cornerstone of this great community.

This is certainly worth a fly by and a quick visit when in town. Not incredibly overwhelming but, worth a look-see.

We strolled around Saratoga Springs for an afternoon, but the real hit was historic Congress Park. This park is kind of divided into two sections.

Stilled through this beautiful park. Relaxing. Nicely maintained with beautifully manicured lawn and flowers. Ducks and birds were abundant. Plenty of space to bring children relax and or walk your dog. Nice relaxing walk

There are a lot of parks near Saratoga but I always like to visit this one when getting steps in downtown. A great place to relax with a book, or bring some takeout and have a picnic.

This is a lovely park with number of springs. If you stop at the visitor center, across the street, they will you cups to sample the various springs. Locals and tourists alike share this park with the ducks. These ducks are so at ease that they allow their ducklings to stray far from the parents, it is marvelous.

I love Congress Park! It's a beautiful green space in the city. There are fountains and a merry go round. Several years ago I saw a free Shakespeare play but I don't know if they still do that. Great place for family picnics!!

A gem right in the center of the city and the downtown restaurant and business district. Expansive park that offers walking paths and water etc... Well maintained and very busy with walkers and bikers.

Congress Park is a nice sized green park. The main draw for us, was the Springs. We got small paper cups from the Visitors Center and sampled the springs. Each one actually had a different taste.

What a great park in the center of this delightful town. It’s really lovely for a stroll and so special for the different mineral springs peppered around the park. A signature part of Saratoga Springs.

Trying to get the Fitbit steps in while visiting. Even though it is November the park is well maintained and quite nice. Worth a stroll through.

We walked here and spent time sitting and watching the ducks and squirrels and the people. Lovely place.

we checked out a few springs. i'm sure it's prettier in the spring and summer, when the flowers are blooming

This is a lovely park for a stroll. My husband even rode the historic carousel. It was built in 1910 and restored in 2002. He was especially interested in it because he recently restored an antique carousel horse. There are springs where you can taste the water. Unfortunately it began to rain so we didn't get to walk through the whole area. Will definitely take another walk next time we're in Saratoga Springs.

Beautiful park, right in the middle of the city. Plenty of benches to sit and relax under the shade of majestic trees.

A Lovely park to visit and to get lost in
There is a Beautiful Carousel,Duck ponds ,
Winding paths, and , of course, the famous originalSaratoga Spring.

Nice walk, not crowded, quiet, plenty of benches to sit on....I bet even more beautiful in the spring

Nice trails, good number of benches in beginning of park. Pretty with the ponds for the ducks and nice memorials to all the armed forces branches. Doggy waste bags available at beginning of park near carousel.

Just a small park in downtown Saratoga Springs. Good for a 10 minute break. Much better park near the Car Museum!

Visited over the weekend. Lovely green space. Carousel closed. A wedding was taking place and the ducks were out in full force. Nice spot just to sit and relax.

Congress Park is well kept up park. There are many mineral springs that you should try. We also had a chance to watch their play in the park. Definitely a we'll put together production.

Very nice park if you are looking for a place to hang out. The $8 tour was not just ok. If you are looking for some history on the town, it's not a bad way to get it.

Congress Park is a very nice park. There’s a carousel for the children to ride and a pond and stream that are full of ducks including the cute babies at this time of year. Please don’t feed the animals.

The Canfield Casino is the focal point of this lovely park which has many paths, ponds, statues and even a working "Saratoga Spring" for the adventurous tasters.

Great park for a walk and to just relax. The park has a memorial for veterans, which gives the park a special touch. It was a sunny day and the park was just lovely!

Within walking distance of our hotel, we enjoyed a post breakfast walk around the well maintained park with it lovely fountains and sculptures. There was a children's music event happening that was well attended as well as an enclosed carousel. On property is an interesting history museum that is worth the visit!

Very nice park in downtown Saratoga. Large grassy areas with plenty of shade trees and benches, fountains and statues making for a nice relaxing experience. There are also a couple of wells with the famous Saratogoa Springs vichy water.

This is a very nice and quiet park. Was very clean. Has an enclosed Carousel which was pretty. What was cool about it is it appears that the rails of the horses are made out of real horse hair. Interesting.
There were lots of ducks and their babies swimming in the pond.
Nice place for a walk or to stop and eat a bag lunch on a nice day.

This is a nice park to walk through. They have a carousel, covered pavilion and lots of places to sit and just enjoy the beautiful gardens and very well kept grounds

This beautiful park is a nice, pleasant place for a stroll. The well maintained park has paved paths for easy strolling.

The park is very large but they do a good job with directional signs guiding you around the park. We went to see the geyser which is something we had never experienced before.

This is a fun place to visit. I walked it on a hot summer afternoon in July and rode the Carousel. What fun. It's convenient if you are in downtown Saratoga Springs, and free parking is fairly close. I parked in the library and walked the downtown before visiting this park. Love the statuary, the ducks in the pond, seeing the old time drinking fountains which used to be fed by the local springs. Just a nice place to visit.

Grab a tour from the Visitors' Center and really learn about Saratoga Springs and the park. But even without a tour, this is a lovely little park, with plenty of space for privacy.

Loved strolling through this park in the morning. It is peaceful and well maintained. There is great history in this town which is evident in the Park with it's beautiful fountains and statues.

it's a great little park, they have the fountain, places to sit and relax, very peaceful and quiet, the ducks aren't afraid to come up to you and beg for food..

Clean, well manicured and maintained grounds. Not very big, has a small museum which we did not attend and a beautiful enclosed carousel.

A little gem in heart of saratoga! Kids had a blast seeing ducks fountains and riding carasouel. It's a quiet oasis during racing season.

What a gem. Beautiful and open spaces. Statues and fountains. A veteran walkway. The carrousel that opens at 11 in season on weekends (but 1$ tokens at the change machine across the sidewalk but parents of young children needing assistance ride free). Kids love the ducks.

We found ourselves in the center of town waiting for a table at Druthers (a 45 minute wait) and decided to check out the park, which is a short walk away. What a fortunate decision! It is a pretty and peaceful place, with lovely ponds and fountains.

This is a truly beautiful spot right in the center of the downtown area. Lovely statues and Victorian age architecture that really brings you back in time.

We were here just for a few days and were thrilled to find they had a free concert going on when we were walking back to our hotel from dinner. It's a lovely spot to enjoy your after dinner ice cream or coffee that you've bought in town.

Beautiful park with history museum. Multiple duck ponds with Greek Revival music stand in one as well as statuary by Daniel Chester French with a reflecting pool. Also Spit and Spat water pond and a fish pond. Enjoy some Shakespeare in the park or concerts, as well as weddings and fireworks. A function horse carousel in a covered building. Art in the park and craft shows.

Ended both the days spending some time in the park and loved the place. Great place to spend some time in.

A little respite in the city. Just a place to rest, relax or walk. Kids can ride the carousel or duck watch. There are statues, fountains, and shelters. You can access every direction of the city from every corner or side of this park. It's just magical if you believe. Great Pokestops - shhhhhh don't tell.

Such a great city park. A good place to sit on benches, watch the ducks, beautiful flowers and plants.

I went up to Saratoga Springs with the wife for a few days in the fall. We took a walk around the park which was beautiful. Natural springs are all over but watch out for one of them: you got an hour for the purge.

this is a lovely park with fountains and duck pond in the centre of town. It also has a merry go round for the children which is a nice treat after dinner or a long way along broadway. One of Saratogas famous springs is in the park and one is just outside at the gate where the carosel/merrygoround is. Worth a wander through and a visit to the ducks while in town.

This park is gorgeous in every season! Whenever people come to visit, we make sure to take them for a stroll in Congress Park.

This is a beautiful park. There are benches for resting and reading. You can walk through the park to SUNY Empire College and the Public Library. The architecture is breathtaking.

This park is a MUST see! It is right in town , so convenient to stroll at any time. It has everything jam packed in it's small space: Statues , fountains, brook, beautiful landscapes and a carousel ! They even have performances in the evening at times , recently Shakespeare in the park.
Afterwards, walk over to Ben and Jerrys across the street or have some saratoga spring water across the street! It's just a perfect little piece of heaven!!

Very nice park downtown and dog friendly. Nice to take a walk around or eat a take out lunch. They is actually free parking inside of the park as well.

Very nice city park with many fountains and ponds. Lots of ducks. Pretty mature landscaping. We attended a free concert on Sunday night which was lots of fun.

Have a nice picnic, enjoy the beautiful flowers and shrubs. Ride the carousel, it's simply Beautiful. Either way you will not be disappointed.

In the heart of town, it’s a short walk from downtown locales.
The springs are quite interesting as are their posted histories. Definitely worth a visit.

If you need to be relax , you should go Congress Park. This park like a secret heaven ın the middle of Saratoga.

This is a nice park, right downtown and close to the shops and restaurants. It has several lovely fountains with natural spring water, a Victorian bandstand, a pond with lots of ducks, and a historic carousel. It also contains the historic and architecturally-superb Canfield Casino, which now houses a museum and gallery. Good place to have a picnic, take a walk, or try the different spring waters. Very limited parking.

Take a pause from your busy day and walk through this wonderful park. Bring a cup and sample some of the spring waters that flow to the surface. One well is city water but the others are from the springs below which gives Saratoga Springs its name. One spring tasted like dirt and another tasted like rust. I was warned by a local not to drink too much of the spring water as it might stimulate your innards (trying to be polite here).

Congress Park Is located right in the heart of Saratoga Springs and accessible from Broadway or multiple other streets surrounding the park.
The park has beautifully landscaped grounds, including ones, flower gardens, trees, fountains, and a large pond in the center. In the spring, summer, and fall, it’s a wonderful place to just take a walk, ride a bike, have a picnic, or sit on a park bench and enjoy the seasons. There’s even a historic merry-go-round that is open seasonally that I would recommend giving a try no matter what your age.

We spent about an hour roaming through the park and exploring the beautifully maintained gardens and memorials. Highly recommend if you need to kill some time!

Congress Park is a lovely place to wander around with the kids. There are many little things to discover throughout the park. We love the Carousel and the Spit & Spat fountain! The Carousel is $1 per ride and it takes tokens. The park is clean and lovely. It's one of my favorite parks!

As a resident of Saratoga Springs, I quite often visit Congress Park and relax for either a few minutes or sometimes a couple of hours. I always enjoy the beauty and peaceful feel of the Park, but I particularly enjoy watching the many guests marvel at the Park's many wonderful sights.

This is a very pleasant little city park. Saratoga Springs is such a lovely town and this is one of the reasons.

Nice park for a stroll or to have a snack/picnic. Location is downtown and close walk to shops and restaurants.

This park boasts beautiful pieces of art, fountains, and easy walkways. The carousel was not open at the time of our visit.

It’s a nice, small park with several springs but it’s nothing special. It’s a good place for little kids to run around and see the ducks. The carousel is lovely and little kids will enjoy it.

A clean, local park located in the center of town. The peak has beautiful fountains along side historic sites.

Nice place to walk and visit some historic springs. The merry go round was the best!such a historic place

Take a break from all that shopping in Saratoga Springs and enjoy the beauty of this town! This is park is stunning. Loved all the flowly willow trees, nature and the natural spring fountains. Its iconic to stop at each one for a photo or a sip of the famous spring water! Not sure if it really has healing properties 🤷🏼♀️ But it was iconic and honestly, tasted pretty clean!

Small park but very nice to stroll in. Ducks, carousel -- all pretty -- nice place to talk and sit/walk.

Love this beautiful park right in middle of Saratoga Springs close in downtown. Peace place go relax and unwind. Also, taste the natural spring water they coming out the fountains.

Very fun and family friendly there are some of the springs there and is right in/next to downtown Saratoga. If you are looking for a nice stroll of a place to play or relax I would recommend it.

Beautiful park in downtown Saratoga Springs.
Multiple spring fountains.
Spit and Spat.
A beautiful walk away from the crowds od downtown SS.

Congress Park is located across Broadway from the Saratoga Springs visitor center. In 17 acres are three duck ponds with countless ducks, two water fountains, five memorials, a replica of a Greek Pavilion & a working carousal.
The two fountains are the Columbia Spring & the Deer Park Spring, however the water is nothing to write home about, possibly because of water's warm temperature.
The five memorials are:
1.) The Katrina Tarsk.
2.) A six flag memorial to all U.S. military branches-Army. Navy, Air Force. Marine Corps, Coast Guard & Merchant Marine along with a bronze plaque surrounded with beautiful flowers.
3.) World War Memorial Pavilion.
4.) A civil war statue to the N.Y.S. 77 Volunteers.
5.) The Spencer Trash Memorial.
The ducks have no fear of humans, they walk in front of a person slowly, if a mother duck is escorting young chicks the mother will just keep on walking in front of a visitor. There are signs that say " DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS".
Throughout the park are benches along cement walkway. The southern end is the working Congress Park Carousal. If I remember correctly there might be an ice cream parlor, not quite sure.
Along East Congress Street-inside the park-are several NO Parking signs, vehicles will be towed. The street was filled & viewed no towing. Since my visit was on a Sunday, I parked in the lot of the NBT Bank which is next to the visitor center. A center's informed me about the parking & had no problems.
Across Spring Street-southern end of the park-between Spring St. & Foley Lane is 24 hour parking, Right across Putnam St. garage parking. Bottom level is two hour parking with the upper level is 24 hour.
Inside the park is the Museum of Historical Society of Saratoga Springs. Viewed many people just walking, jogging or walking their dog.
A visit is highly recommended.

Restored carousel, summer free concerts on Sunday during July at 7p and on Tuesday at 7p during August. Lovely historic casino and museum. Springs. Pools.

Centrally located in downtown Saratoga Springs. Free admission.
Municipal parking, free, across street. Sample the waters from the different water pavillions. Children and adults alike enjoy the beautifully restored carousel, which is glass enclosed to enjoy if weather chilly. Water surrounded statuary and expansive lawns make this a park to relax or stroll. Enjoy.

Lovely centerpiece in downtown Saratoga Springs. There a monuments and fountains to explore as well as a carousel.

We been here during summer, and love the horse Carousel perfect for kids! Also, there is drinking station for the natural spring waters. It beautiful during all seasons the last visit it was covered in snow!

Great place for walking. Beautiful grounds. Great place for kids and dogs. Check out the Giant Trout in the pond. Also take a walk inside the spectacular Casino.

Beautiful and historic park. My dog really enjoyed the walk throughout this park. The spring water is very smelly when you get close to it, but it plays such an important role in the history of Saratoga.

This park is right in the center of town. It's a lovely place to stroll, rest and sample the mineral waters. There are Greek statues reminiscent of a.grander era and a carousel from the 1890's. Worth a visit.

This is such a great park. It has lots of history. There are great photo ops. There are several springs in the park so make sure you bring a bottle or cup to taste the water.

Have been to Saratoga Now for Every Season & this Park is Gorgeous any time of the Year. Although Summer is possibly my Favorite when all the Ducklings are Hatching & Everything is in Bloom.

Nice and clean and good for a walk with the family. There is also a carousel, definitely a plus with kids. The carousel is lovely and restored.

A nice park to visit and you can taste the water the different fountains. Great for a picnic lunch but watch out for the squirrels they will want a bite. Do not miss the Historical Museum in the Park area.

This park is right in the heart of Saratoga Springs. Very beautiful and right across the street from my son's new apartment. Beautiful flowers, ponds and paths.

A great quiet park that is relaxing with a good walking path with flowers and statues. It also offers mineral water from 5 of the Saratoga Springs in fountains that are constantly running.A must visit if you are in town.

A lovely small park in the main street (Broadway) in Saratoga Springs. The Visitor Center across the street will provide a plastic cup so you can sample the "waters" from several of the natural springs fountains.

Date of visit: Saturday July 8th
Our first stop in Saratoga Springs was to the Visitor information centre (across the street from Congress Park), and the lovely ladies there advised us to check out the Park.
We checked it out right away.
The park is gorgeous, well landscaped, beautiful gated entrance. The park has a lovely walking trail to explore it all. There are a number of sculptures, ponds, and a creek running through it. The main attraction is the Spring water fountains that many tourists come to to try the natural spring water that the city is famous for.
There is a carousel within the park that was carved by Marcus Charles Illinois. As avid lovers of carousels, we wanted to take a ride, but the carousel is cash only and we didn’t have any cash on us.
Plan to bring cash if you visit so you can ride the carousel.
The Italian Gardens at one end are beautiful and have a number of statues.
There are bird houses throughout the park.
This is a gorgeous first stop when you visit Saratoga, but don’t forget to check out the Saratoga Springs History Museum on property as well. This park would also be a great location to enjoy a picnic lunch.
There is parking inside the park – but it is limited and very tightly monitored. If you park in a spot that is not authorized you will get a ticket within minutes of parking.

This park has healing Springs, ducks, sculptures, museums, fountains, a carrousel, labels on the trees, walking paths. It’s delightful.

Quaint little Victorian park with duck ponds, mineral water fountains, historic carousel, bandshell built in a pound, museum, and lovely walkways.
Nice place to spend an hour under the trees.

We hit the springs in the State Park, High Rock, Congress Park and a cross from the Lincoln Baths. Fun for all Two adults and Two children, we had a great time.

It is very Beautiful the park is so nice to walk through in the summer time. They also have a Carousal for the kids. For different times of the year the have activities for the family.

Nice historic park to walk located on the main st to walk enjoy some beautiful statues, including one sculpted by Daniel Chester French who also sculpted the Lincoln Memorial Statue in Washington DC. There are benches, no picnic tables and lots of lovely ground to spread a blanket There are mineral spring water spigots under pagodas and a fabulous old merry-go-round. Not a huge park, but a nice little break stop

Lovely park, not too big, with a classic carousel (beautiful hand-carved horses), easy walking paths, museums, etc. right in the middle of town.

There are fountains where you can taste the mineral spring water in this lovely victorian park. Nice monuments, pools and a carousel. Also the ducks, don't bring food for them it';s illegal to feed them .

Wonderful place to visit.I will always come back Nice to see the duck .You can play chess on the tables by the side entance

The carousel, fountains, walking paths, and springs are delightful. We enjoyed watching the weddings too. Beautiful flowers, trees, and places to relax make this park a great place to relax.

We enjoyed strolling around the park, the weather was good. Sat a while, nice to see a few artists painting the scenery. Lots of ducks!!

The park is located in downtown Saratoga and is great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. There are a few active mineral springs that have been attracting people to Saratoga since the late 1800s.

At the advice of the information center, we entered the park which is directly across from the center.
Good place to walk and relax and encounter town folk and tourists.
The first spring in the area is in Congress Park.

We just did a quick stop to checkout one of the springs. The water at this one is very tasty! We were very disappointed the visitor center was not open due to covid...still...

Two of the many natural springs in Saratoga Springs, can be found in this park. While the owners of these springs charged by the ounce for their healing waters, you can now sample them for yourself.
It is interesting to note the difference in mineral content and taste of the water produced by these neighboring springs. Thes neighbors are within a hundred feet of each other.
There are several fountains and monuments in this little oasis in the middle of town. Plus ther is a small duck pond with a fountain of a duck, wings spread, spitting water straight up.
The paek is well-patronized by mothers pushing strollers, young familiees, couples and your average tourist, like me.
There is also a beautiful carousel in a glass pavilion. It was not open this early in the year.

Congress Park is one of the crown jewels of Saratoga Springs. There is a stream going through the park with ducks. Fountains with water from the underground springs flowing out. There is a monument dedicated to the Union army from the Civil War. At the edge of the park at Spring Street is an old carousel. It's only $1 a ride. We went around twice. Tomorrow, we will visit this park again!

This is such a lovely little park and a beautiful place to take a stroll through on a warm day in Upstate NY!
Congress Park is right off Broadway, so it is conveniently located near all of the shopping, bars and dining on the main drag. It's not all that big, if you are in a rush you can see it all in 20 minutes. It's free and worth a stroll through.
I grew up in the area, so I'm a big fan of Saratoga (especially when it's not track season). This park is extremely popular for engagement and wedding photos.
I lived in the Capital Region for 30+ years and spent a LOT of time in this city. Today I learned that there is a Saratoga Springs History Museum right in the park (by the Canfield Casino), that's something you could also check out if you are here and want to learn more about this historical area. It's fairly inexpensive.
Canfield Casino is also located in this park. The casino is no longer a casino, it's a wedding reception venue for the affluent residents of the Capital Region. I went to a wedding there YEARS ago, the glass in the ceiling is beautiful.
There are spigots throughout the park where you can sample the water, I don't remember being a fan of the taste though.
If you have kids with you, it's worth a visit to the covered carousel that is located in the park.

After stopping in the visiting center, we found there was a walking tour across the street at this park. What a beautiful place to take a stroll. We learned about and tasted the springs (yuck!), watched actors rehearse for Shakespeare in the work, saw a lit of ducks and their ducklings...along with many families and couples. There is a carousel located in the park... Across the street from the Canfield Casino (which I'd part museum/ part wedding reception area...with a lot of history!) On the other side of the park. If you're out to picnic, just want to stroll through, would like to take a ride on the 100+ yr old carousel ride, this place is for you. There's a lot of history there. I learned a lot of fun facts through the walking tour.

Very relaxing and pretty park with carousel, fountains, flowers and benches to seat and take in the beauty and reboot . Very Scenic place for pictures.

Great place for a walk. I would think every season has something new to offer. Look forward to going there in the summer

This was a beautiful park that was a great stop during a trip to Saratoga. Lots of plant and animal life and a quiet place that everyone seemed to enjoy. I highly recommend a stop if in the area.

Congress Park is beautifully maintained and has lots of flowers and gardens and statues. The carousel is in the middle and there are some water features. It is a great place to walk and work off some of Saratoga's great food.
There is a visitor's center on the Broadway side of the park and the volunteer was helpful, friendly, and informative. ( Alas, the free tip sheet did not help us win at the track.)

This was really a Great Park, Very nice monuments in it , there were a few of the famous Saratoga Springs in the Park for tasting and the casino is a history Museum in the Park ($10 Admission for the Museum). Park was designed by Frederic Olmstead of Central Park Fame. There is a Carousel for the Little Ones

We walked through the park to and from town and were in awe of the cleanliness, beauty and architure in the park.

Day trip to Saratoga and went into this park that we have driving past for years. even in the early spring (before the flowers started blooming) it's a beautiful park. It has 4 natural springs there that are nicely housed in little gazebos, fountain display, statues, ponds, creeks and even a carousel.

This was my second visit to Congress Park. Love this park, it's so beautiful! Definitely a must see while in Saratoga Springs. Bring a blanket and just relax.

If you want a peaceful spot to think, read, enjoy the ducks or watch children run about, this is the place.

A great place for photos and kids can feed the ducks that are in the ponds and ride the antique Carousal. Located in the center of town, this beautifully landscaped park features the historic Canfield Casino museum and many of the famous springs that made the area famous.

I'm sure we didn't even get close to seeing everything, but I was there for one specific reason -- Spit and Spat. Unfortunately, Spit and Spat was not operational, but the rest of the park was still nice and very pretty.

Well kept. Friendly residential and shopping district surrounding park. Rich in history. Tried all of the fountain water. I feel rejuvenated! Take a walk, think, don't think, decompress. Then explore the rest of the area for food and drink and shopping.

Bring a packed lunch and a blanket and enjoy the park as you have a bite. Centrally located and nice landscape.

What a beautiful park. Love tasting the water. My daughter called it "stinky water". Great history and beautifully landscaped.

Congress Park is a wonderful place to have a wedding. Last Sept. we went to my cousins wedding in the park. What wonderful pictures were taken with all the beautiful backgrounds of the park.

Such an easy park to navigate, walking paths, open areas to picnic. Lots & lots of ducks. Monuments and mineral springs (for tasting) in various areas all easy to spot. One of the fountains was not on, but there was water in the pool. The other fountain was pretty and had some seating nearby, even a cute bridge over running water.

What a beautiful park to stroll through, have a picnic, take your kids on carousel, watch the ducks, read or watch a play.

For a small area there are a lot of great things to do on Congress Park. Public parking on Spring Street leads to a walkway where you first see the carousel an absolute must to ride a horse and first photo op. A few steps towards the Circular Street side of Park brings you to Spit and Spat fountains a great historical area as well as another photo op. Follow the path around to see statues, benches to take a relaxing stop and then leads to Canfield Casino..make sure you go in and see museum. Two separate ponds welcome local ducks and various birds. The Veterans memorial has names of local Saratogians who served our country. All summer long there are plays, bands, etc in the evenings for entertainment. And the steps leading up to the back of the Holiday Inn have a love story attached (just ask a local). On your way back to the entrance at Spring Street take the high path to see the Spirit of Life statue and another gorgeous photo op. As you pass the statue a small path to the left leads to clean public restrooms downtown. Enjoy

I travelled 130 miles to come see the parks and gardens around Saratoga Springs. Yaddo Gardens was rather nice. But when I got to Congress park, I went in, wasn't very impressed. Quickly went in from the main road onto East Congress St. North, and parked along side the road like everyone else. I saw a quick opening on the left, so I parked on that side, but facing the opposite direction, being that I just pulled straight in. I didn't think it would be any big deal since it was just a park. Got out and strolled around for about 10 minutes and came back to see an officer writing out tickets and placing them on the windshields of multiple cars. Around 15. The tickets were for parking on the wrong side of the road and illegal parking. The only signs along there were for "no standing". nothing more. I received 3. 1: parking illegally(must have been blocking an entrance, but wasn't), 2: parking facing the wrong direction, and 3: vehicle inspection expired(10 days prior). I had an appointment at the car dealer the following week to remedy 2 recall issues, so I had to wait till then to get it done. just 10 days out of expiration. I have had tickets for expired inspections before a few times, but the officers would always let me by if I had the car inspected within 30 days. No chance here though. they wouldn't budge. They collected a lot of money that day. From unsuspecting tourists. Parking tickets, in a PARK, and not on a main street. If you go through the gates from the main street, you are now in the park. Bad enough that I didn't bring much money to eat and I knew I couldn't eat in this town because it was high dollar. So in trying to save money, I still had to pay the price of a full meal, in the form of traffic tickets. It wasn't worth coming up here for, unless you like to walk and walk some more, or spend money. By now, also, the race track was done for the season so I couldn't see any race going on. would have made it a little more worth my while. maybe. Seeyatoga. Won't be back. Much nicer places to visit elsewhere.

Nice, clean park. Benches are available and fountains are planted at various areas in the park, they spew spring water which tastes quite good. You can fill your water bottle if you bring an empty one. The park has amazing landscape, absolutely beautiful.

This park is very pretty with a lot of unique things inside. It has the Saratoga Springs History museum, spring water fountains, carousel, and beautiful gardens to walk around. Highly recommend strolling through this park!

Congress Park is a great place to go for a walk right in downtown Saratoga. They also gave a fantastic carousel that is lots of fun for the grand kids.

During our visit to Saratoga, we were lucky enough to lean about an evening free concert in this park. It was terrific.

Easy walk from Broadway shops and eateries. Kids love the restored carousel which can be quite busy in the summer. Often plays or concerts free some evenings and we were there for the 4th of July fireworks. Kids love to chase the ducks and adults stroll around the fountains and sculptures. Plenty of open space to throw a frisbee and the old casino is a popular spot for wedding receptions or parties. Not much of secluded walks in the woods like there is in the state park and parking can be an issue. Recommend parking in the lots near Ben and Jerry's , buy an ice cream and eat while people watching in the park.

Lovely little park, easily walkable, lots of benches and quiet spots.
Were there on a 70 degree day. Lots of families with little kids enjoying the ducks.

Congress park was walking distance from our hotel so we went to the par twice as it was so nice! There are many fountains (with spring water) and a couple of ponds with great views.

Lovely place to walk that brings you back in time. Everything seems to slow down walking along the meandering paths while you admire all the greenery and history of Saratoga Springs.

I enjoyed taking photos of the Springs since I came to "take the waters" during my spa weekend getaway. There is also a beautiful carousel in the park.

If you like walking through history, take a self guided, self paced walk around congress park. The visitor center has maps and will even give you cups to be able to sample the free mineral water that the springs are famous for!

Plenty of room to spread out with a blanket and spend some outdoor time. Statues and benches. A small lake. Dog friendly (unless your dog doesn’t get along with ducks). There are walkways and paths. There is a carrousel but obviously closed during current restrictions.

Love that place. I can take a leisurely walk right from visiting the Art Center, check on my kids playing frisbee, take my grand-daughter on a ride on the carousel (followed by an ice cream cone at Ben & Jerry's), watch the fancy crowds attending a fancy event at the Canfield Casino, or simply sit and enjoy the sun.

Well maintained park, with a pond full of ducks. Park also has a casino museum. You can walk around it a few times for cardio, or relax and have a picnic. Close by shops and restaurants

We signed up for a 90 minute tour at the Saratoga Visitor's Center. There were 4 couples on the tour and our guide was very informative and interesting. We learned a lot of the history of Saratoga Springs and enjoyed the park. We are planning to return to visit some of the buildings.

Nice park for couples or those with young families. Beautiful gardens and paved pathways. Historical park with natural springs to see.

We love visiting Congress Park, it’s a walk through history and so pretty and lovely, even in the last few days of winter before spring pops. It’s just a few feet off the Main Street and a little oasis of nature.

We often go with family when we want a quiet walk, and some shade. It can be a great place to relax, and enjoy the good weather. Always well maintained, and scenic.

Congress Park is located right on Broadway in beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs. During the summer, there are craft exhibits & on Sundays, music in the evening. Pretty place to just walk out & sit.

It's a small little park. Nice for a quick walk.. close to ben and jerrys so you can get ice cream and hangout in the park.

Historic and has artwork that includes a statue by Daniel Chester French and a landscape design by Frederick Law Olmsted, among others. The Canfield Casino ( now a venue and museum), several mineral springs and a duck pond are also there. The Spirit of Life Statue , the memorial for Spencer Trask, is a beautiful sight to behold. There are other treasures including a carousel and the Spit and Spat fountain to enjoy.

This park is good for walking with many different nooks to explore. There is a lovely Italian garden with sculptures, a nice carousel in the summer, a Greek temple with free natural sparkling water, and a Roman style war memorial. Plus the old casino and the Spencer Trask memorial statue with a reflection pool. Kids love to feed the ducks too.

Lots of benches, paths, and fountains. Great place to relax and watch the waterfowl. Maybe get an ice cream from Ben & Jerrys around the corner and enjoy it in this park!

It was rainy and cold on my visit, but the park is beautiful even then. Between the carousel, sculptures, museum and fountains, there is plenty to see.
Be alert for low flying ducks!

We enjoyed walking around in the early and late morning! Beautiful sculptures and greenery! We enjoyed watching the interesting colored ducks; I have never seen black and white ducks. We also enjoyed tasting the three different spring waters.

This park is so well maintained and absolutely beautiful. Very hard to find parking nearby though. Activity - wildlife - History - reminds me of of the past before cell phones. Refreshing ! Plaques are everywhere describing attractions. Best part is it's FREE to walk around there. Really is peaceful and worth the time. Rich with history and informative if you take the time to read all the plaques. We did and still do every time we go. This is one of my favorite things to do when I visit this historic town.

Congress Park is in the center of downtown Saratoga Springs and is a beautiful place to spend some time. Lush greens, a Merry Go Round, ponds with adorable ducks and beautiful art work it’s a place all the locals adore

Nice place to rest your feet and enjoy the historic carousel and peaceful setting. Good for families with young and older children.

Enjoyed walking around the various springs and taste the different types of spring waters. Nothing much else to do.

We enjoyed this parked we had been shopping in the neighborhood and it was a very hot day the park was a very nice visit to cool off there are also many beautiful fountains and gardens there also there is a must see museum just around the park we enjoyed our time

Beautiful Sunday Stroll in the park followed by breakfast at Sweet Mimi’s. Made for some great pictures. Weather picture perfect and highly recommend a visit to this park.

Congress Park is a lovely place to take a stroll, relax, and take in several nice views of gardens and sculptures. The old Casino sits in the middle of the park. There are great stories attached to it and there are often special occasions held there.

Congress Park is a lovely park on Broadway. Even though it is on Broadway, while there one may escape the downtown area. Children will enjoy seeing the ducks too.

The park is not huge but beautiful. Quite walkable with interesting vignets tucked here and there. Peaceful.

We bought subs and made our way to a couple of benches near the pond. The ducks were plentiful and they sat all around our feet. The itty bitty babies were adorable. There are "Please Do Not Feed the Ducks" signs which we respected. A great place to bring little kids!

Historic Park right opposite the Visitor Centre with various monuments inside. At the centre they gave us cups to taste the water at the mineral springs. A quiet haven in a busy place.

Impecable landscaping and seating options make this a lovely place to visit and rest in while visiting Sarasota. Its also a good photography venue. The gem in the crown is the old Carousel which you can ride on for about a buck. The woman Attendant was super friendly which made for a good experience as well.

Gorgeous nature to walk around and take in, including mineral springs and check out the old school carousel!

With the quarantine in effect, should you decide to stroll along this perfectly lovely park, please do so when no one is around. It's a nice place to take a run or good walk and enjoy the trees and fountains. It's a great place for the public-when this dust settles-to listen to concerts/plays/etc. Wonderful for the whole family.

Nice little walk, right in downtown Saratoga. Historical Canfield Casino is there. A nice series of fountains if you dare to try the water. The Spirit of Life statue looks beautiful and shiny now that's its been restored. And some days there's a carousel open.

Congress Park is located in the middle of downtown Saratoga Springs and we love it! It's a favorite of locals of all ages. Just go and I know you'll love it.

Filled with history, beauty and enchantment. This park is located in down town Saratoga Springs and has plenty to offer every family.

Walk through Congress Park and enjoy the fountains, the ducks, the monuments. Be sure to stop and see the Night and Day Vases. Don't leave without a ride on the carousel!!
Picnic on the lawn, watch the many brides and grooms that come for pictures! Breathe in, relax, enjoy one of many music events or plays in the summer, then go take a leisurely walk down Broadway! Oh and don't forget to taste the Springs

Historical park that has several springs, monuments and haunted casino. Very clean and well kept. There are several homeless folks that are harmless. The historical horse carousel is here too.

Historic Casino Park...springs, art, historic casino, etc, middle of Saratoga Springs...great place for kids

Beautiful park for a stroll and for duck watching. When we went, we spent a good thirty minutes watching all of the baby ducks.

ducks and ponds, horse carousel. leisure walks History. centrally located in town. Children love to feed ducks

We did not spend enough time exploring the nooks and crannies of the park but many monuments and pathways. There are several fountains and water spigots to sample the various waters of the local springs. I will let you decide which ones are better (or worse) than the others. Bring bottled water if you do not like metallic tastes :-)
The houses surrounding the park are also worth gazing at.
We did not get the opportunity to visit the historic Casino.

This is a wonderful City Center area. You will enjoy walking, visiting the SS historical Museum, or viewing/riding the historical Carousel. Get out and EXPLORE!

Walked the dog here and sat down to read under a tree. Very calming atmosphere. Saw the casino building and flowers, and ducks in the ponds. They were setting up the outdoor stage for Shakespeare’s in the park while we were there. I highly recommend this park for a relaxing afternoon.

What a BEAUTIFUL park. Pretty small, but so well maintained and interesting. The statues are pretty and the water elements just gorgeous. What a nice park to wander through, run through or just to rest your feet.

Congress park is an enjoyable park in the heart of Saratoga with events at various times of the year. Parking can be a challenge since it is onstreet parking.

Such a gem in saratoga!
Going to the historic springs are one of my favorite things to do! Stop by the visitor center for the full map!

This is the perfect place to just stroll around and enjoy a perfect park- carousel and all. Stop by the fountains and fill a jug or your water bottle with Saratoga water

Whether looking for a walking trail, a bench to sit on, grass to spread out and relax on, a shady place or sunny place, a quiet place or a place to people watch, all is found here! With an excellent location convenient to public transportation, a gorgeous carousel indoors, and places to explore nearby, this is a perfect place to visit or to come to as a relaxation between other locations.

Great place to stroll. Love the antique merry-go-round. The town does such a great job with all of the flowers. I love to bring a book and relax.

Another good place to taste the mineral water. Well worth the time to walk through. Many places to sit and enjoy the park.

A lovely place to relax and enjoy a late spring day in the heart of Saratoga Springs .There a children's carousel and a fountain plus numerous benches to sit ,relax and feed the ducks .

Interesting park with a Carousel and art and Museum of an old Casino. They offer a Ghost tour as well.

Beautiful park with many springs in the middle of town. It’s very walkable with free parking. There is a museum too, ponds, war memorial.

It was walking distance from our hotel, nice park to visit. Pretty flowers and pounds, nice walk trails.

Congress Park has always been a great spot to bring the kids and/or pets and take a walk. It is just such a nice area and the scenery around the park is fantastic. The kids love going on the historic carousel and they really enjoy watching the ducks swim and walk around the park. There is plenty to see if you walk the grounds or you could throw a blanket down and just relax for a while. It can be a nice, fun spot to go when looking for something cool to do without the bells and whistles of the track or nearby amusement parks.

This park is in the heart of town and has many springs easy to access and explore. Next time I'll bring a cup to try each spring!

We attended an Equestricon reception. This was the first event of its kind and this was a beautiful venue. Many attendees who were local said they have attended weddings and receptions here and all had favorable memories. A beautiful setting inside and outside.

Nice park located across from the main shopping strip. Well taken care off. Several fountains (with mineral spring water) located throughout. Some parking available in the park. Overall nice for a 15 min walk.

The park is nicer by side closer to town, the backside by Holiday Inn is dirty and the cement stairs are steep. They need to cut the grass and pick up garage so ducks are not walking through it along with families.

We loved strolling through the park, watching the large crowd playing Pokémon Go, and watching the ducks with our little. I would definitely recommend this park for family photos as the scenery is impeccable.

Congress Park is a great place to walk around. Visit the Carousel if you can. They often have something going on. Or just continue out of the park to see the beautiful Saratoga Architecture. You can just walk down all the streets and find some gorgeous homes. Just down the street are the famous homes of Diamond Jim Brady and Lillian Russell.

A beautiful place to collect yourself and enjoy a well-cared for park. Clean, pleasant and helpful workers who provided advice on parking and tourism sites. Tastes mineral spring from fountain, saw war memorials, Triton garden, Italian statues, lovely landscaping, and angel in front of pond. Horse carousel rides for $1! A child's dream!

A lovely park. Springs are the unique feature, with 4 or 5 there and some with unique taste. Check out Hawthorne spring, opposite the carousel, if you're curious to sample carbonated spring water that's very alkaline and salty.
The trees and lake are special, too.

This is a very beautiful park in downtown Saratoga, with pretty gardens, fountains, and statues. There's even an indoor carousel which, unfortunately, was closed due to Covid 19. There were also very interesting bird houses scattered about the property, including one of the White House.

There is limited free parking. The kids and I stopped by to explore the park and ride the carousel. A great way to break up the day while exploring the area. The carousel is a dollar per person and adults are free. The kids loved it. Glad that we stopped by.

Beautiful place to visit while in the area. Unfortunately the carousel was not operating when we visited.
If you are adventurous, bring a cup and try all the different springs. The flavors vary WIDELY.

Congress Park is very historical as well as beautiful. Seenthe Spirit of Life statue, Spit and Spat blowing water at each other, the War memorial and just enjoy walking around or sitting on a bench. Great for picnics. Oh, and there is a great carousel for the kids.

Walk the whole park and just welcome its quiet serenity. Plenty of ponds with ducks and a carousel. Local Museum is on the property also.

This is a large park with lots of greens and in winter, with the snow covered grounds, this place is very beautiful for a stroll. It is a nice peaceful break from the busy downtown area with some nice historical buildings on the grounds.

This is a beautiful park located in the downtown area. The signs are very helpful in understanding the history of the area, and you can even taste the water if so desired. I just wish that the city would take maintenance a bit more seriously.

This is a small, relaxing park right next to downtown Saratoga. There are ponds, a few of the famous mineral springs (though now one only pumps city water), a war memorial, and an antique carosel that is the last of it's kind in working order that you can still ride on the weekends. A great place to spend an hour or two while exploring Saratoga.

We visit Saratoga Springs every summer and had never frequented Congress Park. Usually we stay at the Gideon at the State Park a few minute car drive away, but this time we stayed two blocks off Broadway. Being active and having a 2-year old who likes to be out, we walked to beautiful Congress Park almost every day. During the day it was so quaint and had that historic feel. It had one of the Springs where you could drink from as well as an abundance of manicured landscape, i.e. flowers, greens, streams, etc. Our son absolutely loved the carousel which we went on every night before our dinner (they closed at 8pm) and one or two times during the day. At 1$ a ride, less than the other carousels we have been to at Zoos, Greenport, etc, it is very affordable and really gives you that throwback, cute townsy feel. So wether you want to walk and hold hands with your significant, push your two year old in the stroller, drink the freshest water on earth, catch a free dusk concert on the lawn or ride one of the last carousels in the US, this is a great stop for you when the food and shopping in town needs a break.

this is one of the nicest places in Saratoga Springs. How amazing to have a park right in town!!! If you are lucky, you may see a wedding at the Casino. Yes - it really was a casino back in the illegal gambling days of Saratoga Springs. There is a museum there which is worth the cost of admission. It tells a great story too. There is alot of places to walk around, have a picnic, meet up with friends, take the kids. There is a place with fish, a pond with ducks that also honors our military. You can buy a brick as a remembrace of someone who has or who is serving. One thing NOT to miss - the carosel. The antique horses and carriges are beautiful and worth the small fee. It is glass enclosed for bad weather- but its great. Take a look at all the statues too. The Spirit of Life, Spit and Spat, the greek sculptures are just wonderful. It is easily accessable from all sides so find a parking spot and take a stroll around the park. You never know what you may discover.

When you're in Saratoga and you need a break, you could just relax here. Some people sunbathed and some brought food. It's pretty low key. If you need a break it's good for a stroll and there are plenty of benches.

Saratoga feels like it stepped out of the 1950s small town America, but without that horrible feeling that time has passed it by. This park is a great example. Beautiful fountains and places to sit and relax.

For the First Night activities city provided bus service. After the fireworks, plenty of buses to get everyone back to hotel.

Very quaint park in the city with nice ponds and ducks. Enjoyed seeing so many people enjoying the park each day we were there.

Congress park is a lovely little park right in downtown Saratoga Springs. On a nice day, it's a great place for a walk. Very kid and dog friendly with large open grass area as well as a couple of ponds with resident ducks.

We had family in town for a 60th birthday week. Needed to get outside was a nice day. We walked all around and looked at the grounds. The park was very busy but didn't feel crowded. Great spot to visit.

Lovely park with an antique carousel, fountains, and the horse and jockey statue, for great photo opportunities.

This park was designed by the same designer that designed Central Park in NYC. But on a smaller scale. The detail is gorgeous and the Spit and Spat fountain reminds me of gardens I have seen in Italy. Dont miss the Spirit of Life on the Broadway side of the park.

We decided to park and listen to the band for the “free” concert in the park. It was only an hour from 7pm -8pm. Being older the music didn’t appeal to us. Our complaint was a member of the band talked too much. It was scheduled for an hour and he seemed to like to talk entirely too much. But, it was free. We sat in our car and relaxed after a long day of sightseeing. The Congress Park is magnificent and has so much history. We are looking forward to attending the next concert.

We waled this charming park and found it to be so amazing . The history is well kept and the ground are very clean and well groomed. the ducks are not a bother they stay close to the water and just enjoy the people as the people enjoy them . the fountains all tell a story and the canfield casino is historically beautiful and I can understand why they hold so many events in the building. We were there on a early Saturday evening and they had a live shakespeare play going on and that was a packed house as it was free and so much fun . the park is a great breath of fresh air to take In anytime of the day as it has much to offer the community . The park has a beautiful merry go round for families to take a ride on or a couple looking to add more romance to there memories of the park. The landscape is so well kept and the pride that goes into the upkeep of the park and the history of the park shows . If you are in Saratoga for a visit please take some time to visit this park you will love it . we plan on visiting it again in oct when we return for another visit. Thank you saratoga for a wonderful visit.

Every year I get to visit this park with our nephew and niece... Great scenery. The kids love the ducks and the merry-go-round. Soothing and relaxing.

Always nice to take a stroll though Congress Park regardless of the time of year. We make sure to bring a camera!

Wonderful little park in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. A great place to go and relax, maybe read a book, or just chill. Very clean and well maintained, there are two duck ponds, walking paths, and plenty of benches. Saturday evenings in the Summer, there is always some kind of free show going on. Bring a chair and enjoy the entertainment. Right now they are doing a series of Shakespeare in park plays.

I was staying at a nearby hotel and had some time to kill before returning to the airport. This park was a great surprise! Lovely park, lots of statues, beautiful carousel, fountains, really nice. I walked several loops around it - it's not big - just big enough. Also loads of people around, so safe at least during the day. (I travel solo a lot and you never know!)
Anniversary
Loved this park. We went geocaching here and had a fun time walking around the park. A must do while in Saratoga Springs.
