We saw this bridge as we were arriving into Corpus Christi. Very cool. Driving over the bridge was fine. It's seeing it from afar is more impressive.

By Elizabeth W |

It was great seeing the lights at night. We stood down by the USS Lexington to view them. You also get a good day view on the Lexington.

By booniestx |

The harbor bridge is a must see if you are visiting Corpus Christi. The nighttime view is mesmerizing with the ever-changing color patterns and rhythmic flowing dancing lights. Love, love LOVE!

By Celisa H |

Not really sure how to write a review of a bridge, but we really did enjoy the different colored lights at night! On the 4th of July, they had the lights look like an American flag - pretty cool! We didn't walk the bridge, but we did see some doing that.

By gdewolfe24 |

The lights make it such a wonderful view of the Corpus Christi skyline. So pretty. The colors change some nights and are set to a constant glow others. Really nice as you take in the Hooks baseball games. This won't be here forever as they are building a new bridge so come and see it as soon as you can and take in all of the other bayfront treasures.

By M J |

My husband and I took the harbor bridge from Corpus Christi to Portland. There is a great view of the channel and bay on the bridge. It is certainly a nice quick adventure. The Corpus Christi Seawall is on one side. The other side has long narrow beaches, the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington Aircraft carrier.

By Charles156 |

the lighting on this magnificent bridge was simply beautiful and it changed a lot to different colors and designs. it is viewable from nearly all the hotels in the area,, depending on the location of your room. we have taken sailing tours out into the bay, at night and the lights from that point are very pretty.

By Touring_Tetankae |

Wonderful to look at at night with the everchanging coloured lights. A great way to turn a practical roadway into something special.

By jimmycarter2016 |

I never thought I would be writing a review about a bridge but at night, all lit up and looking over at the bay with the moonlight shimmering on the tops of the breaking waves, there is a certain magical feeling this bridge brings! The view is amazing and everytime we went into town to eat my wife and I looked forward to crossing the bridge just to see the lights change and reminded us of how something so simple could be so incredible!

By Samee Ann |

Super pretty at night. It was fun to drive over too. For sure something that should be seen at night time.

By ernest.jahn.training |

This bridge is lighted with dancing LED chains which change colors constantly. This is best viewed from one of the restaurants on the T-heads at the Corpus Christi waterfront. If you cross the bridge during the day, there are two important attractions on the other side, under the bridge in an area known as North Beach. One is the Texas State Aquarium that just had a major expansion, easily doubling its size. It now has a Caribbean experience with an indoor rain forest aviary. The other is the retired aircraft carrier Lexington. A good chance to tour a famous World War II carrier. The city side of the bridge has an art museum and a natural science museum at its base.

The Harbor Bridge is so beautiful to see at night. I was in Corpus this past weekend for Spirit Fest on Saturday at Whataburger Field. The view is amazing at night.

By Nick Carbó |

This iteration of the Harbor Bridge is going away in four or six years and a “modern” one will be built in it place. The old one had neon colored lighting to make the night view slightly more palatable and now the new bridge will look like a Calatrava creation but a mere imitation. We wait and sea (yes, pun intended).

By McKenna K |

The bridge during the day is awesome but it is even cooler at night! We used to park by the aquarium and watch the lights change colors. Certainly is wonderful!

By Amy_Hewitt77 |

We drove over to Corpus from Padre Island. We had no idea this bridge lit up at night. It was a very pleasant suprise!!! Very pretty! the kids just loved seeing it!!

By David D |

Never seen a bridge with a full scale light display. It was a little odd when driving over it in the rain but to view it from other locations was neat

By LSUTraveller |

Wonderfully lit with "dancing" lights, this offers a great visual experience to travelers and provides an interesting vista to the skyline.

By RAptor |

This is the place to take pics of. At night is magical! Beware the lights go off after 11:59PM. THE place to go!

By meljfair10 |

I have always loved going down to North Beach in Corpus and taking pictures with the beautiful lights of the Harbor Bridge

By PenguinScott |

I am very saddened to hear that, tragically, this bridge is going to be torn down in a few years. I grew up coming to Corpus and have always loved this bridge. I am also very disappointed to see that they have installed a light show on the bridge at night, which, in my opinion, cheapens it with its garish colors and sweeping motions. The bridge is such an architectural pleasure, there is no need for these lights.

The bridge gets 5 dots. The lights get 1.

By Stephan L |

Cool bridge linking Corpus to the mainland (the alternative would involve a very long drive inland indeed). During festive times, it gets adorned with really cool lights. In my experience, it is a mini-version of the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Kinda cool.

By 2SS_SAC |

The Harbor Bridge is a beautiful classic in the port city of Corpus Christi...it is wonderful to see at night and is visible all along the waterfront and from North Beach. It's old and is now in the process of being replaced by a new bridge, so make sure to take a drive over while you still can. A lot of people have been walking over just to experience that unique view of the harbor. Even better when ships are passing under. We'll be sorry to see it go....

By P5_Crazy_Train |

The Harbor Bridge is a beautiful bridge, and it's much bigger than it looks! The changing lights make it so cool to see at night. The kids enjoyed driving over it, but it's a quick drive. You can see it from different spots around the area, but it's not particularly a destination place, just something to see when you're in the area.

By CharlieinTexas |

It has been a while since I saw this bridge at night, from the ballfield. Entertaining, somewhat unique, captivating view. , I have traversed this bridge almost monthly for a while, back-and-forth to Groomer’s, a great place to buy seafood. Don’t know the tear down date, but the new bridge will not have the character of this trusty old bridge.

By mrsgil2018@gmail.com |

It's incredibly mesmerizing to pass through such a wonderful place, put the windows down when your passing by to hear the wind of the ocean!!!

By 9carolyna |

Sad to hear that they'll be tearing it down in the future, it's always been in my memories of Corpus. It was good to get to see it all lit up!!!

By gw0rk |

Driving over the bridge isn't a big deal if you know which lane you need to drive. If you don't know the correct lane be careful, because this is the only area of Corpus I drive where drivers aren't polite.

Driving out of Corpus towards Portland, it's a smart idea to get in the middle lane ASAP. I came very close to rear ending a state trooper who stopped in the middle of the road because a semi pulled off the road. The trooper did not move his vehicle out of the lane or turn his lights on to warn drivers. I would've smacked the trooper if I wasn't paying attention to the vehicles in front of me.

The bridge is beautiful and passengers might enjoy the vista. The driver needs to pay attention because cars cut in and out. Take the exit for shoreline to get a beautiful view of the gulf.

There isn't anything to see driving over the bridge.

By tjmorgan1944 |

A fascinating display with thousands of lights in various configurations that is like watching fireworks all night long. Beautiful night time sight on a spectacular structure.

By FullOfCrap |

The guarded rail walking lane is certainly worth the walk...It overlooks Corpus, the ship channel and the Ship...Building new harbor bridge beside bridge si there is plenty to look at...

By Klayres5 |

No matter from where you spot this bridge, nor the time of day, it is always beautiful. I enjoyed it most from Whataburger Field in the evening, but it is just as beautiful from the U.S.S. Lexington during the day.

By bikinchris1 |

My reltie who live here don't like th elights, feel that they are tacky. We were at a Hooks ball game and I was able to watch the lights come on and I like them. I like how they slowly change color.

By bribecerra186 |

The lights brought happiness to my heart. the warming of the dark skies and lighten of the stars shinning down towards the colorful bridge what an adventure.

By c_szostek |

Very pretty all lit up at night but you better hurry. They are building a new bridge and this one will be torn down

By Ms Muss |

Be sure to see this landmark before it's torn down!! The new bridge is being constructed now!! You can get awesome pics if you park down by the aquarium.

By Barbara W |

Grab a nice view of Corpus Christi Bay on one side and Nueces Bay by the port. Stunning lights turn on at dark. A source of pride to the area.

By harrison9161 |

Great view. I never really thought of it as an attraction, but I guess it is. I used to live in Corpus and I've been over it many times, but it is still kind of a thrill. If your family is nervous about the heights, stay in the inside lane for their sake. I wish they had a place to pull off and enjoy the view at length.

By noeliae596 |

The lights on the bridge and all of the boats on the T- Heads are great. The shore is very clean and lighted very well

By Yippie-Yi-O |

Be sure to see this. It's gorgeous at night and right by the USS Lexington. Be sure to bring your camera!

By azangi90 |

It was July 4th and we decided to drive over the bridge during fireworks....it was awesome!! and the bridge was lit up and just a beautiful site all around, definitely recommend!

By Tim L |

The bridge has spanned across the waterway for many years. At night it is illuminated by colorful lights. The 4th of July the bridge is lit up in red, white, and blue. It will be ashamed to see it go when the new bridge is built.

By Meet-the-Furkids |

The Harbor bridge at Corpus Christi is somewhat of an icon and obviously you drive over it at some point when visiting. The view of USS Lexington from the bridge is really lovely. We stayed at the Radisson hotel which has great views of the harbor bridge. It’s a great view by day, but even more lovely at night when everything is lit up. Another must see ticked off our list.

By amandamE1062FX |

I love going by there at night especially for my children since the lights are so beautiful and they really like it as well.

By PadreIslander_78418 |

This is the old Harbor bridge, which will be retired and removed when the new bridge is complete. This one though, is special. Locals know, but I didn't see mention of it here that there are walking lanes on either side of the bridge. It is possible to walk across the bridge, in either direction, behind vehicle barriers on a narrow sidewalk abutting the siderails - The views are beautiful from atop the bridge! This activity is NOT recommended for children.

By pamme42 |

We were fortunate to have a hotel that faced this magnificent bridge. It is lit up at night with changing colors. A real sight to see.

By nanarhonda6 |

The Harbor Bridge added excitement to our trip. The children enjoyed seeing the ships out in the harbor as we crossed and I enjoyed taking pictures from various viewing areas.

By Masque2Fer |

This is a great, free attraction to see from the fishing peer in Portland or from Corpus Christi next to the battleship. It boasts a very intricate light show that is spectacular at night or in the morning before sunrise.

By flophillips |

Well I love bridges to,start with but this one is really pretty at night with the lights. Sad to hear it wont be there to much longer.....

By Chelsea P |

We walked over at night just to see all the changing colors and the lit up Lexington. My kids were excited when we drove over it but totally terrified to walk on it. that will be our goal next time.

By Robby G C |

I saw the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge from the U.S. Lexington. I saw that it was attractive.

After we visited the boat we went with our car and drove on the Christi Harbor Bridge. Truly beautiful!

It is very solid! A lot of vehicles go through the bridge.

It is 620 feet.

What a great view from the top!

A must see!

By dggoldfish |

The Harbor bridge crosses the ship channel at the entr y to the port. Oil tankers as well as agricultureproducts are handled here.

By 2-sixties |

Watched lights from nearby restaurant. moved like a wave moving across the arches on the bridge. Yellow and blue lights.

By rexhans |

we did make a point of heading down toward the bridge after dark and it was worth the trip. the bright changing color lights that adorn the bridge lit it up and made it visible even from a distance. worth checking it out if you are staying the night.

By Jason R |

Lived here for 2 years. People are rude, can't drive and have no sense of customer service or personal space. This is one of the worst places I have ever lived. If not THE worst. Filthy. 0 out 10 would never visit again.

By ang116 |

This is a really cool bridge and it changes colors. Depending on where you stay you can see it while you drive or at the hotel.

By ML_ATL2013 |

Color changing lights make this a beautiful bridge at night! The access roads around it can be a bit confusing though!

By Lynn F |

Not alot to say , its a bridge. I wish we could have seen it at night but we were leaving after one day down in Corpus Christi.

By CrankingChick |

This attractive bridge over the ship channel connects downtown Corpus Christi to North Beach. It lights up with colorful LEDs at night. You can get good views of it from the art and science museums on the south end or the Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington on the north end. Construction is currently underway on a new, higher bridge and this bridge will be demolished in 2020. The bridge may be closed intermittently during construction and traffic updates are available online - search Harbor Bridge Project.

By travelingkr2011 |

This bridge is cool to see in the daytime but best at night. The best views are from the Watergardens behind the Texas State Aquarium.

There is parking behind the Texas State Aquarium and at night its pretty busy with people late night fishing. There are also the occasional partiers driving through and hanging out.

By Melinda M |

I had the awesome opportunity to see this during the day and at night! I didn't get the greatest pictures but it was really pretty :)

By hlokty918 |

The light show the city (or whomever is responsible) puts on at night with this bridge is spectacular! I've never seen anything like it (of course I've not seen that many multicolored lighted bridges, but...). You simply MUST see see this bridge at night! In addition, the USS Lexington looks hauntingly beautiful as its awash in a blue light (aptly so as it's the Blue Ghost). Plan on driving across the bridge at night, and if you can, park somewhere down below and get a good look at it. It's a beautiful light show!!!

By Suriel S |

Great illumination and definitely a must if you go to Corpus, the view of the bay from the bridge is awesome.

By Marie S |

We really enjoy the Harbor bridge- Its So Beautiful and Colorful - kids enjoy it as much as we do.💕💕💕 It can be changed different colors per special occasion or holiday. Also in honor of reasons. Love out City by the Bay- CCTX 😊 Especially love it to honor our nation.

By Sightsee770464 |

This is a must see AT NIGHT if you are coming here. It is stunning. We heard they may be taking it down so I hope that's not the case.

By Robert D |

Located less than a mile north of the downtown, the six-lane-wide Highway 181 CORPUS CHRISTI HARBOR BRIDGE over the entrance to Nueces Bay provides access to several communities known as North Beach and at night is lighted in a dazzling display of colored lights. This is a must-see. It is difficult to view the bridge from the distance. A nearby and almost under the bridge vantage point is the end of Harbor Drive or the parking lot of the Art Museum of South Texas.

By Salvador T |

We recently went to corpus to visit our sons and see our daughter's roller derby game. From the American bank center, we had a beautiful view of the harbor bridge. At night,it has different colors of lights and is a sight to see with your loved ones. While driving on it,you have a wonderful view of the city, the bay and the huge U.S.S. LEXINGTON NAVAL SHIP. Must see if you are visiting corpus Christi.

By eugenia27 |

When in Corpus you have to make a trip on this bridge even if it's just for a quick drive. It's such a beauty on its own but at night, it's gloriously gorgeous! All those colors that light up make me feel so happy every time I see and drive over it. It's so awesome.

My picture of the bridge was taken while I was at the top deck of the Lexington. So if you ever want a full bridge shot, you know where to go!

By erickaharris1222 |

The Corpus Christi Bridge is definitely a cool attraction to see and take pictures with...especially at night. The bridge lights up beautifully at night and it is cool to see the ships pass. Our picture was taken from inside the Texas State Aquarium. Fun for the family to see!

By sleepy1492 |

We drove over the bridge several times going to different things in CC. Early morning the lights looked really cool and my teenager even enjoyed the sight. New bridge is being built and dont know what will happen to this one, i hope they keep it just for the view!

By Zaneisha B |

Standing at the bridge at night is scary but so beautiful with all the colors so glad Corpus Christi decided to do this to our bridge.

By MaryShari |

We were lucky enough to arrive on St. Patrick's Day. The bridge was lit up green. It looked like it belonged in the Emerald City. The next two days while we were there, it was beautiful to watch as it changed colors and patterns. We were lucky enough to be in a condo where we could watch from the balcony.

By bacalaito1825 |

This bridge is very innovative and clever considering it is placed at the opening of the port, so it could be used by ships to locate the port. It's cool to see the lights changing at night, and even cooler to drive on it with the lights around and above us. The view of everything around from the bridge is spectacular.

By DMann |

You can see the USS LEXINGTON really well from the top of the bridge. We wanted to see it at night but we couldn’t make it happen.

By nexlevelife |

This bridge ahead stood the test of time. It will soon be going down and a new modern bridge will be up soon. At night the bridge lights up.

By ricklo777 |

Nice bridge to get you to the beach and marina area and it lights up at night and changes colors if Im not mistaken. I believe there is also a concert area next to the bridge which I would like to see on our next trip!!

By Shereen B |

Walk up the bridge in the evening/night, the lights are magical. Go under by port building and park. Best place to watch is at the Hooks game during baseball season.

By Brian T |

The view is spectacular when crossing the bridge, and the sunset was absolutely colorful!! There are places to pull off in either side to go fishing along the waterfront, and bait and tackle shops to outfit you with everything you need!

By DAN S |

We were in Corpus Christi during the 4th of July. There was a fatastic light show on the bridge. I do not know how often they do this but it is worth a visit. If you are just going to the bridge, well it's just a bridge. With the light show it is really something to see.

By EFW2014 |

Huge group walk going across bridge today. The bridge is ok, I guess. Might be better at night but during the day it’s just a way across the water.

By Ben |

The old Corpus Harbor bridge is being replaced, but it is a beautiful example of a steel arch truss bridge. Glad the new one will be beautiful as well. Cable stay bridges are the new standard for bridges of this scale and this will be a very nice example with a row of stays on each side of the two piers, down the center between the lanes.

By BowTiesAreShiny |

This bridge will be one of the things my daughter remembers most about our time in Corpus Christi. We had a lovely view of it from our hotel balcony (The Omni), and she very much enjoyed opening the curtains and watching it change its many colors. She also thought it was great fun to drive over at night; it was one of the first sights she got to experience when we arrived in town that first late evening, so it made an impact. It was built in 1959, and was even featured in Time magazine in 1964 because of its beauty. Sadly, it is being torn down and replaced. Construction of the new bridge has already begun and is expected to be completed in 2020, and demolition of the old bridge will begin then. Be sure to get your pictures of this beauty before then! If you'd like to learn more about the new bridge project, you can google "Harbor Bridge Project", and check out the first listed entry. The site says that they are tearing the old bridge down due to the following: "The existing bridge has safety issues associated with the lack of shoulders, steep grade, a reverse curve, and an accident rate that is higher than the statewide average. The Harbor Bridge also has high maintenance costs and provides no acceptable access for those on foot or on bicycles. Furthermore, the bridge’s 138 feet of navigational clearance, which met World War II standards when it was built, make it difficult for the Port of Corpus Christi to compete with other Gulf Coast deep water ports because of larger ship sizes today."

By monkeybt77 |

The Harbor bridge is beautiful at night! The bridge lights up and the theme of the lights changes frequently with different colors and images.

By anngrin73 |

The Bridge lights are always nice to view and going over it and seeing the Lexington and the water is beautiful.

By johnwesleyharden |

What a beautiful structure, especially at night, when the lights cast a beautiful shadow on its frame. The views are stunning, and worthy of The Body Of Christ. I was truly moved by its simplistic architecture, and height. May the Lady's crown, ( USS Lexington) always shine on her majesty!

By Pam H |

Bridge was a standout in the night skyline! Very hard to get a good picture of it so it is well worth taking a drive over it to just experience it.

By John S |

The bridge connects north beach where there is nothing to do with downtown where there is nothing to do unless you are shopping for a drug dealer.

By debra r r |

Bridge is beautiful, but it seems to separate the seedier side of Corpus Christi from the nicer side. 1st time in the area. We found our original destination to be on the seedy side, so after further exploration we ended up staying on the better side of the bridge at the Omni. It was a beautiful hotel with a balcony and an awesome view of the ocean.

By Solodam J |

We passed this bridge when we're going to the USS Lexington so it's beautiful bridge to see from the ship or the bay

By DavidS050 |

Did not intend to see this site, but passed by one evening and had to stop to take pictures. Beautiful lighting make this a great tourist stip.

By Mj K |

Great walk over bridge! The view is great at night or in the day time, the workout will leave you feeling it! It's all great! Highly recommended!

By DeAnn P |

Always look forward to seeing the light display in the evenings. The view from the top of the bridge is spectacular.

By Jana |

The whole down town of Corpus Christi is apparently going through serious facelift, hotel we stayed had beautiful views of the bay, hotel itself need a remake also. Once city will be finished, it will be beautiful. Will visit again.

By Yolanda K |

Very nice jst to sit on the bay peace and quiet... lighting beautiful ..hotel was nearby great place to unwind .

By KristyandLilyDuchess |

This bridge is beautiful to look at. It changes lights so much. Then on our Friday visit there were Fireworks to the side of the bridge. That was a sweet surprise and amazing view.

By Linda G |

Corpus Christi has done a fantastic job with the lighting on this bridge. It changes colors and it is so enjoyable to just sit on the seawall and watch.

By Houseboat516 |

On my recent visit I wanted to drive over the "high level bridge" as we used to call it before it is torn down for the newer, bigger bridge. It still gives me a thrill to come over the top and see that beautiful view. I always knew I was home when I would drive to the top and see the lights at night.....the sparkling city by the sea!

By John W |

Cool old bridge. Handy from North Beach to downtown Corpus Christi. The light displays at night were very nice! Will it stay after the new bridge is completed?

By P314ZRamberr |

Recently walked the bridge and enjoyed the gorgeous views it provides of the bay! Loved it and can’t wait to do it again!

By Rosemary K |

Eat bridge in a few months will be replaced for a bridge that enables larger ships. Near ride to see the bay in all it’s glory. You can see whataburger field from the bridge. You can see lights and fireworks at night passing thru the bridge.

By Hank956 |

What a great attraction.

The bridge lights up during the night and a part of the corpus small skyline.

It will backdrop the lexington if on northeast part of corpus.

You can actually walk across this bridge.
Drink up your valor and go for it, it is refreshing and THRILLING to say the least.

What a great bridge to walk.....

By JanetScottB |

There is a turnaround at both ends if you change your mind. It's not too high to be scary even in the high winds of the past weekend. Let someone else take in the view if you are the driver.

By Heather9876 |

When I'm sitting anywhere at night with the Harbor Bridge in view I can't help but to start watching the beautiful Light Show! Some people pay to see light shows, but we get to see one for free every night if we want. I love the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge!

By L G L |

The CC harbor bridge has been around for many years and is now being replaced. old style bridge that will be going by the wayside. The view will be different from the new bridge - so dont miss your chance to take one last drive

By garygeorge3 |

Take a stroll along side the USS Lexington where the fishermen stand at dusk and see the lights appear. Behind the bridge from the end of this vantage point you'll see the sunset, you'll also be treated to a wonderful view of the city. The colours seem to dance rhythmically and this has really been well thought out. Just be careful of the uneven surfaces on the rocky wall, and remember it's unlit so you'll need a torch if you stay after the final daylight has gone.

By Jack Morris |

Was i town on March 17 2022 and drove over the bridge to see the view of the bay and was not disappointed. Very cool

By timdenchanter |

The bridge goes up on one end and down on the other end. We are still looking for a bridge that only goes up but does not go down.

By Alli L |

Great place to hang out. Open space and great restaurants. Participated in a 5k near the bridge which is really a family friendly place. This area is pretty low key which makes it safe for an evening stroll.

By kmsmolen |

Easy access from the bridge to downtown Corpus, and to the waterfront cultural attractions. We also went to the USS Lexington and easily got back on 181 to get back to Portland.

Wish we could see the colored lights mentioned in other reviews.

By CAHI57 |

Every first Sunday after the First Friday they have an organized walk of the bridge. My first time was this Month. It was great. Think total distance there and back is about 3.4 miles. The weather of course affects this. The bridge is lit at night with colored lights and there are times when it is lit for specific reasons. Like Police Lives Matter all lit in Blue, etc. It really is a beautiful bridge.

By drfixit5 |

Love taking the grandkids out to watch to the bridge change colors. The bridge light show changes to coinside with the season or Holiday

By Daniel H |

I drive over it every day to work. Lots of people do. It's narrow and steep with some tricky curves on both sides. Some people don't make it and this caused back-ups for miles. It is steeper than is allowed by today's standards. It's also easy for the unfamiliar and intoxicated to end up going the wrong way--that always ends badly.

By chlorow7 |

Love passing by it at night when the changing lights are on. This bridge is to be demolished soon due to a new bridge being built. I'm going to miss it!

By Karen K |

I cross this bridge to get to my hotel every time I go to CC. This last time it was the sight outside my balcony. My kids still get a kick out of going over it after 20 years!

By Waynedw |

We just had to drive through it twice. Then we pulled off down by the Aquarium to get picture. Nice idea.

By L627BPjanee |

so beautiful to come about this bridge at night so beautiful. neat experience if you get a chance to drive through it

By Brianna R |

I wasn't quite sure if I missed something or not but I did not think that this was something to go out of my way to see. It is along the way to see the USS Lexington and a few other things in Corpus Christi. Which makes it kind a neat to see. However I would not go out of the way to see it. If you did want to walk a crossed it, it is an extremely long walk so be prepared for that. The day that I was here it was very windy.

By unknown5300 |

We couldn't really find an amazing place to see it, but it was super cool to see all the lights and watch the boats pass!

By Jeff S |

This six-lane, 5,818-foot (1,773.3 m) long bridge crossed 138 feet (42 m) above the surface of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, whose heavy shipping traffic reflected the area’s status as the nation’s sixth largest port. The bridge was built 60 years ago and is due to be replaced by 2021. Its steel through-truss span linked North Beach to the downtown. The Harbor Bridge was readily visible and easily photographed from the art and science museums near the Bayfront Science Park. It was most photogenic when it was lit up at night.

By jbm22017 |

We travel over to Corpus when in Rockport just to see the bridge at night. It's a great light show. Distracting if you are driving.

By bwanderer |

This bridge is particularly so when it's dark and is a fine way to cap off a counterclockwise circle that includes Padre Island National Seashore, a sampling of beaches to Port Aransas, the short car ferry west, and then southwest to this bridge for a nice evening meal.

By greglinmon |

It's a beautiful bridge but at night, with the lights, it's worth the drive over if you are in Corpus Christi. We have two elementary school boys and they thought it was awesome and when you couple these bridge lights with the Lexington all lit and the Texas State Aquarium it makes a great view.

By Dave H |

Check out geocaching.com. Sign up for a free membership and start caching!
When climbing this bridge, the noise of the passing cars and the height of the bridge will give you a buzz! There are always a few idiots who will honk or yell at you.

By brentrourk |

Although the bridge will be replaced soon, itbis a landmark in Corpus Christi, where its changing colored lights add pazazz to the harbor area. See it from anywhere downtown at night or take in. C.C. Hooks baseball game at Whataburger Field, next to the bridge.

By Muhammad Saqib |

Historical bridge that looks marvelous. There is a new bridge construction going on next to it, let's see how that one turns out!

By Tami L |

A must see at night!! Worth stopping and taking pictures. Make sure to take pictures from both sides of the bridge. Each has its own character.

By TERRAvelista |

You can see this bridge in the distance, as you are about the reach the city if travelling from Austin for example and it is a great representation of the city: beautiful, strong and well maintained.

We used it several times, crossing it from our hotel near Padre Island to visit the Aquarium and USS Lexington nearby.

By Jonathan A |

I came down to Corpus with my family and we really like this bridge. At night time we usually go over the bridge to the down town side and park underneath the bridge by a convencion center(i believe thats what it is) and just look at the lights from the bridge. You can also see the aquarium from down there and the Lexington lights up as well. Good relaxing area.

By Kristina M |

It is awesome during the day but at night it lights up! It has several different light settings so it was a light show every night.

By 570jimmyd |

The old bridge still serves its purpose. The new bridge appears to be about 40% complete now. The bottom of the new bridge will be as tall as the top of the old bridge. I can't wait.

By Y8697ZBrebeccas |

There’s a very good view from the highest point. I wish we could of gotten down at some point so that we could take pictures but it’s dangerous. It was nice.

By Emilee A |

My friend and I parked and found our way to the entrance of the walking lane of the Bridge. It's lit up at night, which makes for incredible pictures. I recommend walking the left side, if you're looking at it like you're coming from Portland to Corpus (the water/Aquarium side, not the Port side)
Be prepared for wind, and the railings have sizable gaps. Also some drivers think it's hilarious to honk and scare you, but it's really a great experience.

By anickerson |

We could see the bridge from our hotel room and loved watching the colour changes. Neat idea to add a colourful element to the Corpus Christi horizon.

By garym6800 |

We like to see the bridge at night while eating at the restaurants on at the marina and at north beach. It is really beautiful the way it changes colors.

By john b |

This bride has been around for over 50 years and still looks great. It will soon be replaced by a newer, larger bridge that will start at the crosstown expressway and I-37 interchange and end on North Beach. The bridge is lit beautifully at night and is a wonderful backdrop to the Hooks games at Whataburger field. You can cross this bridge on foot which I plan to do one day in order to take some great photos of the SEA area and the USS Lexington.

By AddisonHollen |

My favorite part about the city. They even have classical symphonies play and link up the bridge to go along.

By Marcy F |

You will be mesmerized by the beauty of this bridge. I think we just stood there in awe till we seen every color!

By Pam L |

We love our Harbor bride with it's changing lights. It is old and due to be replaced in the next few years. In the meantime it's the way to North Beach, The Texas State Aquarium and lots of hotels and restaurants and souvenir shops.

By Z1837KRcathyb |

We made a special trip back to the Harbor Bridge just to see the lights. It was well worth the extra miles!! We sat in the aquarium parking lot and watched the lights for a long time - so beautiful!!! It was so neat to drive over the bridge and see the lights. The two children that were with us were awestruck!!!

By FansofGreece |

The bridge is worth a visit. During the evening it is lite up and very impressive but there is not a lot to see during the day.

By JOHN BERNARD S |

Soon to be replaced, the bridge offers the most beautiful nighttime view the city has to offer!
When coming from Portland across the bay toward Corpus Christi the moment arises when your breath is taken away by the Sparkling City By The Sea!
No one should miss this. Go out of your way to see it. Better yet, walk it!

By jerry h |

its a must to go at night the bridge is lite with color changing lights / very neat / we sat and watched for a long time

By jduggan620 |

First time I crossed the bridge was in the 1950s. It was new tall, elegant, and to a kid in a1953 Chevy with his parents very high and frightening. Now sixty years later, the bridge still looks the same, but it's a wonderful convenience, not a fearful object. And it's being replaced. On the Corpus side, new pilings are being driven for the new higher longer larger harbor bridge. Hopefully, the new one will be as elegant as the old.

By Joe L |

A sight to see at night while watching a Hooks game from Whataburger Field! Great view to drive over during the day as well.

By Liza D |

Totally saw this by accident. The bridge is illuminated on certain nights of the week & the lightshow lasts about 15-20 minutes before it repeats. Best viewing area is either by the art museum or the waterfront near there. The lights are on both sides of the bridge, but the road we saw it from seemed too far away to enjoy it.

By John B |

Crossed the bridge several times. Great view in All directions. From our hotel we were surprised to see the light show when dark happens. Beautiful colors. Wow.

By Tim |

This is a really exquisite bridge. The design is quite unique and it is very beautiful. I liked it a lot!

By Kathleen B |

Best viewing for the changing lights is at night. It was very nice to drive over during the day, too.

By annrob007 |

drove over to north beach. was going to go by and see the uss Lexington. we went at at night so there was a cool breeze

By Plainstravellors |

The bridge is amazing to look at at night! If you have a chance to get a room with a bridge view, it will be worth it

By Jill V |

If your in the city find a spot to watch the way the bridge and the light show from it at night! Definitely adds beauty to the Corpus skyline

By travelteacher4 |

I was wowed. I had heard of this bridge but was not ready for what I saw. The six lane bridge is not only lit but the lights change colors as you watch. If you have time sit below it and just watch the show. It is GREAT. A not to be missed sight.

By John A |

The bridge is light up with changing colored lighting. Kind of reminds you of the Bellango Casino in Vegas.

By John E |

Been awhile since I'd been over the bridge to get to USS Lexington Museum. it's inspiring at it's size and structure. windy high can be a bit scary but worth it. would love to see it lit up for occasions. Apparently being built in the 50's it's in the process of being replaced. I noted all the construction at both bases and looked up what was going on.

By Lloyd L |

During the week here in Corpus Christi I have passed over and under the bridge on numerous occasions. I did not realize it was a site! It however is very majestic

By Kathy S |

Loved seeing the bridge @ night, very cool to drive over it. Really enjoyed looking over to see the Lexington lit up in lights as well

By Jimksatx_11 |

We took a Leisure walk from the Omni Hotel, went to the underside of the bridge watch the big ship leave. We were told the story about the new bridge being built which would replace this old iconic Harbor Bridge, which has been a landmark to Corpus Christi area for years must see at night it's lit up with LEDs that change color.

By Trish B |

This bridge is so pretty at night. 950 led lights that change color every few minutes. Can be seen from miles away. Very cool!!

By Barbara48C |

This bridge is stunning. During the day it is traveled by thousands of vehicles and for those not driving, it offers great views of the gulf and their industrial port. At night, it tansforms into a light show. While we were there it was an American Flag light show. It moves and it can be seen from that end of the city. It's also fun to drive over at night. It's quite a beautiful bridge

By Anna_W55711 |

I loved the bridge, as I have a thing for bridges. However, I was disappointed one could not really see the waterway below from the bridge

By 78manuelaq |

This bridge is beautiful and seen from my hotel room, it takes you from the hotels over to the beach and USS Lexington. The drive across it is not long but the sight of the ocean from it is breath taking. Lucky for me I was the passenger and able to take full advantage of it.

By katwoman46 |

If you are in Corpus you need to drive over this bridge. Especially at night. The Lexington is lit up at night and the view from the bridge is beautiful.

By Carlos B |

The Harbor Bridge with its colorful and festive illumination provides the perfect frame and backdrop to the adjacent Lexington museum ship

By texan1228 |

Looks cool at night with the lights but it is built odd to me... old and straight up. Gets crowded when people are getting off work at the plants or something is going on in the area like a rodeo or baseball game.

By Howard T |

The Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge looks like any other bridge during the day but is really pretty at night as it is lit up in a clor that is close to blue green.

By Alicha G |

So pretty to look at at night. My husband and I loved driving over it, it has such a fabulous view. During the day you can see way out across the ocean. At night the USS Lexington is light up beautifully. From the bridge you can't miss the view.

By smzyankee |

This Bridge is Beautiful you can see so much from it. You get all excited from the view of Shore .I've seen people walk up it & Jog in the Mornings .I'm sure you can take stunning pictures from it!!

By Sally S |

We are visiting family in the area and attended a special event below this beautiful bridge. I love to see bridges, especially when they are all lit up at night. This was a nice surprise added to a very nice evening. So pretty to look at during the nighttime especially. It's like having Christmas all year long.

By PsychRN12 |

Its a bridge that spans a large body of water. The bridge itself is huge but that's about all there is to it.

By Yvette G |

Light are changing and look really nice when you on your balcony at the local hotels. We stayed at the Radisson and it looked really cool.

By David Roberts |

Our condo looks over the harbour bridge, at night it is lit up and changes colour every few minutes from red, green and blue. Unfortunately there are a lot of roadworks going on and it looks like some sort of new over road is being built.

By Kenzie H |

I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure why this is an attraction. Maybe it's because I greq up in Corpus Christi. I've always enjoyed looking at it, and while the bridge is cool to look at and drive over, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it. Although, the little beach area next to/under it, is rather cute and would be fun to visit during the day. Especially if you made a trip to the Lexington and Aquarium. If you are in the area, take a gander at it. If not, then don't make a special trip to only see the bridge.

By Tony B |

oh my God it is a beautiful ,breathtaking views from above the Harbor Bridge. we did enjoy the look from one of Corpus Christi's most iconic structures with uninterrupted floating views of the USS LEXINGTON, Texas State Aquarium and the Downtown skyline,

By Jim S |

I like staying at the Omni Hotel in a room with a balcony overlooking the bridge and Lexington. The Lexington is lit up in blue at night and the light show on the bridge is very cool with the changing colors.

By KatRoy |

Moving colors at night can be seen a great distance. Driving across the bridge offers a great overview of the area.

By Stiglitz11 |

The bridge is pretty cool. Architecture is always interesting to look at but it is a bridge across a water way. So you basically drive over the bridge.

By 986madvc |

Enjoy the Harbor Bridge before it's replaced with a new structure. It was great fun walking it as well as driving it. The scenery never gets old with ships, birds, and water views.

By William S |

Admirable architecture, great vistas, mild athletic walk, and the nightly light show is more than worth the price of the 'free admission' (no tolls)!

By Judyvaca |

The changing colors on the bridge are a sight to see. Beautiful against the night sky. A must if you are in Corpus Christi.

By worldtravelsavy |

We seen this bridge on our walk along the beach. Beautiful bridge to the gateway of Corpus Christi with lots of traffic going across.

By BobTomTim |

Another Texas Tall Bridge. Very nice engineering work.Inviting to drive on during the day and very attractive lighting at night.
The bridge overlook some of the attractive places on the shoreline

By paulaangelle |

Every night there's different color lights displayed on the bridge as you drive by. We visited 4 nights and the lights were cute.

By Rebecca Becky C |

It a beautiful bridge. I was scared of it when i first saw it. The bridge gives you a clear view of the USS Lexington. You can also take great pictures of the bridge from the 3rd floor of the aquarium.

By sharjeelcool |

I would personally recommend to all the people to visit this place this place is indeed the pride of the city

By Robby G C |

This is the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge.

The Harbor Bridge is white and it is solid.

Great views to see!

Everybody like that Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge

A must see!

By Pat Y |

Beautiful light show on bridge. Make time to sit on seawall and watch lights on bridge. Ballpark near bridge is a great family attraction

By dg2014jg |

I’ve always loved the architecture of this bridge. We were on it today and reminisced about how many times this bridge has symbolized Corpus to us.

By Mj K |

For many years our Harbor Bridge has been the focal point entering our city from the north. now is the time to take a photo with it in the background before it is too late. History and Corpus Christi is due to change in two years time. Our beloved Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge will be torn down as our new bridge goes up. Our new bridge will be twice as high at almost 200 feet. But our forever loved Harbor Bridge will be no longer. This is your time in history to take a picture with it before it is gone. You can take a picture of it in the daytime or you can take a picture of it at night when they Light It Up. Or you can always do both.

By Karen G |

The lights are fascinating to watch at night, especially from the 20th floor of the Omni Hotel. This is a real icon for Corpus Christi.

By Armando V |

Not the best bridge, but it's done it's job for over 60 year and if you haven't seen it up close, come by and visit us cause our new one is being built as we speak, then you can come visit us again and give us your opinion as to which one you like better.

By USAhappytourist |

The harbour bridge is a magnificent illumination art piece. Stroll the beach and enjoy the light show!

By Thomas A |

They are about 1/3rd done with the new super bridge, at night the lights are great. Cant wait to drive over the new one !!

By Linda C |

We were unaware of the lighting done on this bridge after dark, until we returned to our hotel one evening! What a lovely bridge! I would like to have found a good place to take pictures of it.

By Jim B |

Upon crossing this big bridge the first time in 1963 it was breathtaking and remains thus today. Although this bridge is truly stunning today it is scheduled to be replaced by 2021 with and even larger and much longer bridge. The lights in the evening are used for many occasions such as Christmas, July 4th and every holiday and other events. The new bridge is a suspension bridge an the free spans scheduled to be nearly a quarter of a mile upon completion with the bottom of the new bridge matching the top of the current "High Bridge" It will be a world class show piece. Come now and see it as it is then come back when it s completed and enjoy the World Class bridge.

By MOONTX99 |

The bridge is a must see! They usually light it up in different colors at different times of the year! Cool to see at night

By JoeSchlambe |

When in Corpus, I make it a point to drive across it, turn around, drive back, just for fun.
Be sure to take a look at it at night when it is lit up.

By freqtraveler354 |

So the best place to view this attraction is right outside the Omni Hotel and at least stay on the fifteenth floor. Not only will you have a perfect view of the bridge but you will see the USS Lexington, Texas State Aquarium, and many other attractions Corpus Christi has to offer all in one spot. If you have little ones I highly recommend driving thru it at night to get a close up of all the beautiful lights just dont wait to late as I believe the lights all go out at midnight!

By trouthook69 |

Never knew it lit up at night. Provided interesting view from my hotel room balcony. Otherwise just a bridge.

By Μαρία Κ |

Just as impressive in the morning and in the evening. Don't miss it. Nice point to enjoy the sunset.

By pnkgirl27 |

This bridge photographs so beautifully during the day from the angle by the history museum. Very charming

By Rusty Bell |

Corpus lights up the bridge so at night she's even more beautiful. I remember when my kids were little we'd drive up under the bridge and wave to the ships as they came in or out of the harbor. With the new bridge being built I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to enjoy her.

By George E |

Nice bridge except for the "fluxuating lights".... Not going to be here much longer. Building a new bridge

By Phil J |

Once the sun goes down, this is an amazing sight, as lights along the entire structure of the bridge slowly turn colors in a seemingly random and never-ending sequence of neon colors. Visible from a large area of Corpus Christi. Sitting at a Hooks game at Whataburger Field, this is sometimes the most interesting thing going on.

By Karen W |

It is an awesome view at night. Changes colors constantly. The american flag wa a bonus. We viewed the bridge from North Beach.

By Rich B |

This bridge is a for sure beautiful bridge day or night but its just plain old beautiful at night. You have to drive it both directions to really appreciate its beautiful design and at night, the beautiful lights that light up that whole area. For the Premier view at night go over and park near the Lexington and get out and walk around a bit. Amazing.

By Kylie S |

The bridge itself is very pretty. I'm not too fond of driving on big bridges but staying in the middle lane helped a lot!

By Paul S |

safe way to enter the Corpus Christi downtown area with a great view of the harbor / ship channel and Whataburger field

By ashleyberg1997 |

The first time my boyfriend and I traversed over the bridge, it was a bit terrifying since we both have slight fears of either heights, or the ocean, so I would not advise looking down if you are one of these people as well.
Night time is when this baby truly becomes a gem to the city as lights begin to dance and shine from its massive frame. You can get amazing views all over North Beach, as well as on the USS Lexington.

By Corpuz |

Visit at night time and just hang around at north beach and watch the ever changing lights of harbor bridge! Then pass by it too and it's so nice to look at!

By Melanie L |

We drove over coming into town, but left town before daylight and drove over this beautifully lit bridge. What a wonderful thing for the city to have done, lighting it up.

By casagtraveler |

By day, the bridge itself is impressive, winding high enough to clear the oceangoing freighters in the channel.

By night the light show on the bridge is mesmerizing. It won't occupy your entire evening but it's well worth pulling up to a good spot on the North end of downtown or over by the Tecas State Aquarium to watch the show for a little bit.

By raelee8 |

A nice bridge that gets you to the North Beach area. At night it is lit in many colors that change constantly. It is very beautiful to see.

By djbjconstruction |

absolutely beautiful to see at night, best spot is from the texas state aquarium parking lot, we took some great pics of the lexington from there also lit up at night

By Vacationer |

A pretty large bridge with tankers and tugs traversing the channel. Gives the passenger something to see.

By debraleatacker |

We were in Corpus 3 nights and it did not light up at all. Who does that? Especially on a holiday weekend…..

By mustange781 |

I went on a family vacation this summer on the fourth of July and we were able to see this beautiful bridge. It was lite up with the colors of the flag and it looked absolutely beautiful. My children and I loved it

By codys188 |

It will be sad to see this bridge go but it is cool what they have done with it. The lights on the bridge just give the city that extra cool feel. My girls love driving over it and getting to see on the tourist stuff below.

By Rocio Luper |

Is a nice experience, pretty view. Watch out for pelicans, drive with at different times , the views changes from AM to PM.

By phong5637 |

Beautiful light show at night with colorful changing lights. To see it, you need to be near the aquarium side of the bridge

By toomuchtravel |

See it before the new bridge is built and this one is demolished. Great views (if passenger) of the area.

By mytripsAJ |

While visiting CC we decided to check out the Harbor Bridge Lights. This really is a beautiful sight. Apparently there are many who think the same because not only were there individuals and couples there, but also families. It’s what you make of it. We parked at the art museum. The lights around the bridge management parking area were a little in the way. I’m sure there is another locauto Park and take photos, but we still made it work for us. Just go for a stroll there and enjoy the view. It’s quite lovely.

By txpackerfan10 |

Drove over the bridge and right out the hotel. Can see a lot from the bridge. Light up at night too.

By jesfire415 |

I have lived in Corpus for many years and this bridge is a landmark in Corpus. I've been going over this bridge many times and have even rode my bike over the bridge. It offers a fantastic view of the port both in the day and at night. The bridge will be replaced and it will be sorely missed

By cdavenport62 |

I have been working in and around Corpus Christi for several months. My first night-sight of the bridge was from What-A-buger field. I thought it was a great backdrop to a great ballfield. The bridge itself offers great views of ships, the water, and Corpus. It is a fast bridge with lots of space and smooth travel. But it's claim to fame must be seen at night. Worth seeing the changes in colors and shapes.

By DannyWasserman |

This bridge takes you from Corpus Christi to Port Aransas and vice versa. Nice high rise bridge that spans over the CC bay. Great photo opportunities.

By 1955chevy |

It's a bridge that gets you from Point A to Point B. The lights at night were nice to look at. What else can you say?

By tlyons001 |

When in Corpus Christi take the time to cross over the Harbor Bridge both during the day and at night. A true panoramic view of the city and especially beautiful during the evening with all of the city lights in view.

By n0rmalyndaz |

I have never seen a bridge of this size change colors. It was beautiful. I didn't know Corpus had two bridges. It's a beautiful city. Don't underestimate it.

By ms-happygolucky1 |

This bridge is cool to go over in the day. It's pretty big and cool to look down over the bay. At night, you can see it from the distance and the lights change. I don't think I'd recommend driving across town to see it, but if you're over in that direction, it's worth checking out.

By memaw1148 |

Anyone who has ever lived in Corpus Christi knows the awesome feeling you get coming into Corpus and seeing the harbor Bridge!!!! It is especially nostalgic when coming in at night with all the lights on!!! You know you're home even if just coming back for a visit!!!!!! Dearly love the Harbor Bridge!!!!!!

By CoastWhisperer |

If you aren't driving, this is a fun bridge to go over because the view is so nice. The bridge is high and steep, so tankers can pass thru underneath. The height makes for good viewing day or night. At night, the City lights up the bridge with LED lights, which are festive and pretty.

By Annette L |

The bridge is quite impressive to see for someone who hasn't traveled to many places with a bridge this size. It is even more amazing by night with the light show it delivers. We had a room at the Omni that allowed us to sit on our balcony and watch the light show and see the USS Lexington. Loved it!

By roelskm |

Really pretty at night. We went to a Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game, and saw tge bridge light come on during the game. Really nice light show.

By Lanaia W |

you can sit at the many places to eat around the bridge you can see the lights from far off they change lights often.its just a beautiful light show.

By hassler6666 |

This is a great looking bridge at night as it changes colors. Impressive to say the least. I hope the new bridge is as great as this one as it will be much larger. Love to drive over it at night. Will miss it,

By Lynette B |

My favorite thing to do when I travel is to return home over the harbor bridge. You always enjoy the view at the top and it is very welcoming. They are getting ready to replace it in the next few years due to age but with the lights on at night it is just really nice to see.

By BedCab |

It’s a beautiful bridge and a landmark. They light it up at night and it’s gorgeous to see. Incorporate it into your visit at night and you won’t be disappointed.

By The Guts |

I love going over this bridge with the ocean of water underneath us.. and the lights at night are beautiful.

By b31s |

It brought back many memories, it has a wonderful view of all the bay area, especially at night you can see the lights from the industrial area.

By Cherie S |

The Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge was beautiful to watch at night. The blue and purple colors are a must see at night. During the day we drove across it and it was smooth not scarrey.

By Joenader@gmail.... J |

I heard this bridge gonna have to be rebuilt at some point. It was great for us to see and check it out. It drives over water which makes it extra fun fod kids.It also light's up at night. Really cool to see at night for sure.

By Stuart H |

Besides the cool views when traveling over this bridge the night lighting is awesome, and unexpected. I went to a baseball game at nearby Whataburger Field and the bridge is right there; it was fantastic watching the light show as backdrop. Style points to Corpus Christi!

By Gina L |

We went to the little park under the Harbor Bridge and watched the tug boats bring in the tankers and barges loaded with oil, etc. Was neat getting the pictures of how close the ships came to touching the bridge. They are building a new bridge and going to tear this one down to allow larger ships into the harbor. So go soon. Neat activity for free to take kids to --remember ships might not be docking.

By rm-R2D2 |

Visiting from LAKELAND, FLORIDA, and to see this bridge at night is so cool! watching it from the Whataburger Field and it was lit up , my kids loved it!

By Arthur E |

The lights on the bridge change colors all night long. You can see the bridge from miles away. It is right next to the baseball field, What A Burger Field and also the Aircraft Carrier Lady Lex

By DrAnju Rahul |

It's a great view atop this gorgeous piece of art.You can see the shoreline and the majestic USS Lexington atop it.

By hbaker9 |

Really neat bridge to cross over and see the sights. You can see the USS Lexington from here too! They light the bridge up at night, and it's really neat to see on the skyline!

By Jutta P |

Great overall picture with the skyline in the background. Directly and parallel to it, another or the old bridge is probably being repaired / restored. There are also some pieces missing in between.

By Teresa Y |

it's a bridge with lights,,,, pretty at night from a distance ... not what I consider an "attraction"

By Windy_Al |

The view is amazing on the way up, must pass by once at day and once at night if you are in the city.

By Avery G |

Would have loved to see the night display because the bridge is amazing. Go later in the day after the morning fog clears for the best view.

By Jethro F |

This has to be one of the prettiest bridges in the nation when it's lit up at night. The USS Lexington is permanently moored to the right as you're looking at the picture and she's always lit up in blue at night since her nickname was "The Blue Ghost" (given to her by Tokyo Rose during WW2 because she couldn't be sunk and kept coming back). It's such a shame that Corpus Christi plans on tearing this beautiful bridge down. 8^(

By Wayne R |

Our hotel right by the bridge. At night the bridge would chnage colors at night. This was a very impressive sight to see.

By caredfish |

Out of our hotel room we could see the light show on the bridge, The first night it was pink for breast cancer race and the next night it was red, white and blue. So spectacular.

By Tawnya M C |

When we went to the Lexington with the boy scouts we had a wonderful view of it from the flight deck.

By nicole c |

It's a great view to see at night especially from the beach. All the different colors of the bridge are a nice touch!

By carlos r |

The Harbor Bridge at night is so beautiful! Definitely one of my highlights of my trip to Corpus! I found myself driving back and forth just to be able to see it up close. Not to mention, its lights up in different colors which are a plus! Recommend it seeing it at night!

By Cheryll D |

I have been over this bridge so many times in my life since I was young. I had never stayed downtown so had never seen the lights at night. Our balcony faced the bridge, and we were so amazed at the different lights. This fresh look at the bridge was delightful! Thank you Corpus Christi for this landmark.

By tmfb1984 |

First time in Corpus and the family went to see the bridge lit up at night. Great ambiance with the USS Lexington also lit up.

By 1105Nadiam |

I was told by 2 people at the front desk that you can walk across to the other side , NOT true. You can't. There is a small ramp behind the court house with a sign saying Harbor bridge and you will get to the end of the ramp to the bridge and then there is another sign saying (no walking) . There is no walk way on the bridge on both sides .
You have to take the bus across or drive yourself. No bicycles either. No side walk at all unless you want to walk with the cars on a freeway? You have a bridge a view from the Marina below

By stephinc2017 |

Very pretty bridge lit up at night. They also light up the USS Lexington so it is all quite a site to see.

By Roxie |

Use this bridge on a regular basis between Portland and Corpus Christi. The lights on the bridge coordinations to the seasons. Usually the drive is smooth until there is a wreck. If that happens, be prepared to sit tight for awhile. From the top of the bridge, you can see the Lexington lite up at night.

By Cory M |

Took a drive to downtown corpus while on a business trip to be pleasantly surprised by a light show. The only downfall is I couldn't find a really good place to watch it up close.

By Journey_Gal70 |

The bridge isn't huge, like the Brooklyn bridge of Golden Gate Bridge, but it definitely offers great bay and city views during the day, and a constantly changing light display at night. I rated this bridge as 'average', overall, because it doesn't take too terribly long to cross.

By Cindy C |

I love this bridge. Traffic pattern aside, I hate that it is being replaced. There is a walking aisle along one side of the bridge, a bit challenging on the uphill for some, but has one of the absolute best angles for getting a shot of The Lex.

By Jhurd6 |

We went at night and really enjoyed it. We parked and walked around for a bit. Colors changed and were very pretty. Nice place to walk around after dinner for a few minutes, we parked near Hester's and the art museum where they had additional water fountains. It is free and you are able to get a nice unobstructed view of the bridge.

By MNM1011 |

Love driving over bridges and this one is no exception. On one side you can see ships in the harbor. On the other side you can see the U.S.S. Lexington and the North Beach area.

Love that there are things to do right around the bridge!

By Diane1437 |

We stayed the night at the Omni and we had a wonderful view of the bridge and the Lexington. The lights on the bridge are mesmerizing! We sat outside on our balcony for an hour watching the lights. The Lex in lights is hauntingly beautiful.

By ArmoniB |

We drove by several times several times and enjoyed the city.
If you are walking or driving you may come across this bridge and many great places in the Corpus Christie.

By Yolanda R |

Gorgeous view. Really nice and the lights are wonderful. One of a kind. Don't leave Corpus without seeing this bridge. One of the attractions I enjoyed the most.

By Charles S |

A bridge has been at this location since way back to the mid-1800's when the first wooden bridge was erected. The current bridge was built in 1959 to carry the busy US 181 from CC to North Beach spanning the ship channel to the Port. The LED lighting display on the Harbor Bridge was added in 2011 and is an attractive feature. The bridge appears to change its shape with each color change and is visible for miles around the surrounding area.

We arrived at Corpus Christi with perfect timing. It had just got dark and the bridge was fully lit. It made the drive across fascinating. What a welcomea

This is very worthwhile taking in while in the area. Recommend taking the time to go see. Easy access.

By eaterofallthingsgood |

there are several places to eat at night so you can watch the bridge change colors . some of the lights were out

By Dan R |

Did not have a room facing the bridge at night. I was able to take many picture of the bridge at night which were fantastic .

Take a drive to North Beach and enjoy the trip across the bridge. It is lighted at night and beautiful... make a special trip at night to enjoy it. North beach is close and fun!

..to only be torn down and replaced in the next year or two. They spent millions of tax dollars to sandblast, repair and paint a bridge that didn't need it to begin with... Another fine example of mismanagement/CORRUPTION on behalf of Corpus Christi's elected leaders. Leaders that drive automobiles that cost twice their yearly salary 😎

Not working, half the lights are broken. It’s a shame, it’s a nice area to hang out at night, but it’s run down.

Cool looking bridge, architecture was stunning and modern. Does look out of place though, right in the middle of industrial area.

By Nostalgiyeah |

This is a refreshing sight to see, particularly during the night when it is charmingly lit up.It does look nice during the day as well but the night view trumps that because the bridge lights up with different colors. The bridge connects the downtown area to the North Beach side. The aircraft carrier USS Lexington can be seen looking out of the bridge when driving.
There is ongoing construction just adjacent, of what seems to be a new bridge to replace this one.

Its very romantic. Go at night bout 9:00 pm the wind is right. The water is right. A good spot for lovers of all ages

Our room faced the bridge. I never got tired of sitting on our balcony and watching the bridge turn colors all night!

I have the good fortune of living in a condo overlooking the harbor bridge, Lexington and Corpus Christi bay.

Very pretty with all the lights on not so nice in daytime to much construction going on and traffic but nice view

Bridge is imposing structure during the day, lit-up colorfully at night. Excellent photo shoot opportunity.

This bridge is a piece of art. During the day, it offers amazing views of the ocean. At night, the bridge is amazing to watch the colors it changes.

is pretty but I didn't walk through it, I crossed by car it to get to the USS lexington a little dirty

I was with a group that hated to drive across this bridge due to its height, but it never bothered me. Drove across it several times. Smooth ride, but be sure to know what lane to be in for the exits that come at the bottoms. Viewed the bridge from both the baseball field and Shorline Blvd. Great views in the skyline. Saw the moon rising through the bridge while watching a ball game.

It's main purpose is to connect North Padre Island (any everything north of CC) with Corpus, but that is boring. Go to a Hooks Game for the best view, especially since most of those games are at night with the hot temps. The bridge will change color all night long. I love baseball, but others will certainly be entertained anyway!

A great walk if you want to see the port from high up. A little scary on the way up. Don't Look Down. 1mile walk. Take the city bus back to town for75 cent.

First of all it's a visit to beautful Corpus Christi on the bay that will be
required. You will find numerious fantastic attractions which I won't
list here in Corpus Christi, but readly available on Trip Advisor.
I just feel you will be totally amazed
with a new bridge that is being built right next to the Harbor Bridge.
It will be a new wonder in the near future for people to cross, but the
construction itself at this stage of construction is something you will
want to see. Oh! the Harbor Bridge will remain open until construction
is finished so you will be able to view the construction as you drive
over Harbor Bridge. al

We went to a semi pro Hooks baseball game and while the game was fun to watch, the real treat was being able to view the lighted, colorful bridge from our stadium seats.

This bridge was absolutely amazing to see when lit up at night ! It looks scary to drive over as it’s 2 nd highest bridge in Texas but we drove over it several times and it was nice to see different things each time

Amazing views of this at night from all angles the bridge lights up and is such a great light show, wow!

The city of Corpus Christi did a great thing when they added the lights to the bridge. It's added a nice backdrop to a beautiful city.

I have read many reviews about the bridge and they are right, it's a sight to see. The bridge itself won't be there for much longer as a new one will be built. This older bridge, which was built in the 50's will be demolished when the new one opens for service. (Btw, the new bridge will have lights as well). The bridge is currently lit up by thousands of LED lights which were installed just a few years ago. Because of LED, it has the ability to change to many colors. Something that is not talked about much is the fact that it can be customized. A regular person can submit a request to have their color stay on during a particular night(for a fee). All in all, if you are already in the area, make it a point to drive over it at night, as it does offer a really good view of Corpus Christi Bay, Downtown, the Port, the Lexington and more! Enjoy it while it is still here.
A word of advice: if you drive over it when it's very windy, have a steady hand on the steering wheel as the wind will push against your vehicle. This is specially true for larger vehicles. Corpus Christi can get very windy.

We enjoyed watching the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge colorful lights from our hotel window. It really spruces up the harbor at night and draws attention to the USS Lexington sitting next to it.

Texas is a very large state with alot of exciting things to do. Good food and drink. Everything is easy to get to and when needed there is plenty of great people who are willing to help for free. 😱😍

This bridge is soon to be replaced with a new one and it's in need of replacement. It is cool to see it lite up at night, especially with all the different colors.

By Gchenard25 |

regular bridge during the day, but at night the lights come on and give you a light show that is beautiful and reflects off the ocean

By Sandy H |

Over the last 40 years, at one time or another, I have driven over this bridge. I have never taken the pedestrian sidewalk and not sure if one even exists but I believe there may be one. In the last few years, they added colored lights to it at night, which makes it even better.

By AusTexNatalie |

If your town was cooler it would have a bridge like this too. The light show is great and they even customize for special occasions and holidays. They light it blue and green for special TAMU-CC events. It would be cool if you could walk across the bridge but there appears to be no pedestrian access, too bad.
