We watched a great hockey game here, the sound and seats allowed a great experience. But I am very surprised to see they made no effort to do basic recycling; that many fans consuming beer adds up to a lot of aluminum that could be diverted from the landfill and generate income for the arena.

Just attended the ufc fight night poirier vs gaethje, what a beautiful arena ,staff was excellent, food and drink very pricey ,but excellent fights had a great time ,and poorer got the knockout in a wicked fight

Was here for baseball spring training and was eating at salt taco and saw the gila River arena and was able to get hockey for a game. Had a good time and had good seat second level behind the goalie. Good food and easy to walk around the arena. Big plus is restaurant across the street so you can eat before or after game. Had a very good time and lots of stuff to do in the area, movie or football stadium.

I attended the Post Malone concert with my children and appreciated the fact that they set up apparel sales outside so it wouldn't get too crowded in the halls inside. The lines were still long inside for apparel but not as bad as it could've been. Only downfall, was that the escalator situation at the end of the night got VERY dangerous. People coming off the escalators were crammed into backed up crowds and people were falling over and tripping on each other. Better planning needed to get people out of the arena.

Had an event there over the weekend. The staff and security team were awesome. They were very helpful and guided our team in anything we needed.
Parking was easy to get it and out.

Every time the Winnipeg Jets come to town, there are about 10,000 Canadians that show up in the Jets Jerseys for the game. Since the Coyotes and the Jets have had a long franchise relationship, it’s easy to see why this has become a very friendly rivalry.
The facility is nice. Ample parking, very nice staff and courteous security people. The food and beverages are typically priced for hockey games...so stop looking for deals, there will never be any, anywhere.
It’s a fun atmosphere and the Coyotes Fans are all about having fun. No one gets real serious. And I’m sure the neighboring bars and restaurants love it when the Canadian teams are in town.
We love the whole outside Bar Village, complete with a nice relaxing area around a fountain. But if Party is what you want, then this arena has what you want.
Tickets for excellent seats about 11 rows from the ice are a deal at $100, all in.
A very enjoyable experience....and maybe even a better deal than in Canada!

The hockey fans are great and friendly, the beer is cold, and washrooms are clean. Don't be afraid to come early to enjoy the festivities outside.

Seats are very small and cramped. Stair well very very steep. Scared me to walk down. Some one need to listen to the vocal, was very hard to hear words that were being sung for the loud music.

A lovely arena! This was our second trip here and the security measures have really tightened up. No pocket knives allowed! We had to make a trip back to the vehicle but we appreciated their safety measures.

The Gila Arena is in my favorite entertainment center in Glendale which we always visit when going to Phoenix or surrounding area. We felt we had great seats for a decent price ($65 ish) and probably would have been fine in the nose bleed section. The pic was taken from our seat. You can eat at a nice restaurant in the center before or after the game, even do some shopping, an outlet mall is nearby across the parking lot (walking distance). The arena had the usual basic foods and beer. When buying tickets the site shows you the view you will have from your seats. All seating charts should provide this. We had a great time!!

This is a really nice arena! Very clean and easy to navigate. But what makes it for me is its location. It is surrounded by several restaurants and bars.

I wasn't overly impressed with the arena. The game was good, but there is nothing special about the arena itself. We were here for a Coyotes game.

This venue was close enough to our hotel we were able to walk. The route we took, put us right by our section!! Our section was close to bathroom and snack bar. The venue was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

We were leaving Phoenix and had late flight so caught a Coyotes game. Was so fun! Was a great location easy to park and great restaurants all steps away. Great venue!

I recently saw a Coyotes game there and it was quite fun. Easy arena to navigate built in a mall like setting. Easy parking and you can park for free too. A nice place to see a game.

Surrounding the stadium is the Westgate area with hotels, shopping, and restaurants. It’s a cool area if you’re from out of town and wanted to go to a game and stay close. We pulled up to the Coyote game and had a very reasonable valet option so we walked right in. It was the first hockey game we had taken our kids to so the staff at the stadium gave them personalized certificates to commemorate the experience - really cool! The game was a lot of fun, the music kept the energy up and my kids dancing, and we explored a lot of the arena during the breaks. We had a great time!

what a great arena! It is shaped like a barrel cactus. Lots of sitting area for hockey games. The Coyotes are quite the team, we cheer them on when we come to Arizona.
Exciting news in the arena.....there is the First Tim Horton's coffee shop. If you like hockey and a Timmies...this is a great arena to watch it, especially when a Canadian team comes to town.......

Attended Tim Magraw and Faith Hill concert, great seating and excellent sound system. Would not want to sit more then half way up on the sides.

Decided to attend our team the Wild here. Have not attended a game anywhere for years but arena seating seemed very cramped compared to a baseball park. Easy in and out and free parking. Seats were upper deck but good view. Would maybe spend a little more for lower seating next time. Cooler than expected need a good jacket.

This is the second time I have been here. First was for business in a suite for a Coyotes game. They won so that was cool!!! Very nice suite. Clean, Good staff, comfy seats and food was good as well. That was May 2021. June of 2021we went back with friends for the UGC 263 event. Best event I have ever been to! Done right in all ways!! Big thanks to Shane, Jared, and Andy for always taking care of us when we are in town. We will be back to see you guys soon. We will keep traveling to see events at this arena!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

I attend a sporting event here that was not hockey and was very surprised on how good the seating is. Every seat has a clear line of site to the area floor. There are not obstructed seats in the house. Very will designed.

This Arena and the University of Phoenix Stadium are close together. They share a large pedestrian mall (Westgate Entertainment District) filled with restaurants and shops. It's well lighted at night and very crowd-friendly. The Gila River Arena was clean and the flow of crowds was well organized. Hockey tickets were easily obtained online and very affordable. We parked close and the $10 fee was deducted from our meal cost, hence free parking.

Had trouble finding our car park but I don’t think that’s the Venues fault! Friendly staff. Bag searches and a metal detector at the door. Very large arena. We went to see game of thrones (the orchestra) but I take it there are a wide variety of events. Friendly staff helped us to find our seats. Only thing was it cost $11 for a glass of red wine!!! But you do expect a high price when they have a captive audience.

The arena was easy to get to and find parking. I made the mistake of eating before I arrived. The arena has a good selection of restaurants outside and next time I will eat there. Unless you buy tickets close to the stage The seats are average.

We are a family of 5 visiting Arizona and decided to see a hockey game. I had called the coyotes ticket office and was given a thorough explanation of all my seating options. We chose premium seats, second row, that included a buffet at the suite level dining. The seats were really great, it was a lot of fun to be so close to the glass and action. The food was fine but lots of options and ample seating. We sat at a table with our dinner but then at a counter that overlooked the game for our dessert. We all thought it was worthwhile to have the upgraded seats and food option. Other stadiums we have been to have also had stadium snacks like popcorn or pretzels etc included at the buffet but this one did not and it would have been nice to have. The area around the stadium has tons of restaurants, shops and an outlet mall. We stayed at a hotel near by and were able to walk over.

Last minute decision to go to the Coyote vs Golden Knights Hockey game and had an Awesome Experience from the very FAIR ticket price for seats 15 rows from the ice for
$65 … Great concession variety and good arena environment … clean restrooms and helpful facility staff … definitely would repeat on next visit during Hockey season ...

Plan a full day to get to an event here. It took 40 minutes to go 3 car lengths. Who ever designed the traffic flow in and out of this arena should be fired.....seriously. Parking was equally worse. The only saving grace was the concert -Trans Siberian Orchestra- was phenomenal. I truly will more than likely never go back to this area, unless I carve out a full day first.

I recently saw a major concert at the Gila Rivera Arena and have no complaints. I received good helpful information from arena employees when needed. The arena itself was very clean and they have plenty of food and drink concessions areas throughout. I will definitely attend another event at the Gila Rivera Arena in the future.

I’ve been to several concerts here and love this place. Lots of parking but typical congestion when thousands try to leave at the same time!

Comfortable seats, great sightless and modern facilities. I've visited 24 NHL arenas and this was one of the better ones, aesthetically. However, it's WAY too far away from the downtown core and virtually inaccessible via public transit (a 25 minute cab ride or a 2 hour bus ride - both options suck).

We attended the 2/15 NHL game between our hometown Montreal Canadiens and the Arizona Coyotes.
The complex in which the arena is located is nice, having lots of restaurants and bar options for patrons to eat and drink beforehand.
The result is that the offer outside the arena is a much better (and cheaper) one than inside the arena.
Who wants to pay $12 for a small beer, when you can get a larger one outside for $3,50 ?
The layout of the concourse is also weird, not being a smooth-circular concourse but having some odd corners and empty spots. It honestly feels like the layout of a concourse of a rink built in the '80s or '70s (reminiscent of the Quebec Colisee or Uniondale's Nassau Colisseum). This is unconceivable for a relativelay new arena. It feels old, dark and unattracting to walk on the concourse.
As for the bowl, it is alright. The jumbotron is, too, a bit of an older era. New technology and bigger screen are available, so it could be time for an update.

Awesome seats, great Entertainment, Hockey game Great, Flyers Won! Typical food, lots of spots for food, lines not too long, great Night!!

Great stadium, seats were awesome and comfy! Had a blast and right in the middle of the entertainment district. Leave time to grab a bite before event.

Bought the tickets and a Parking Pass months in advance for a Coyotes Hockey Game. I would recommend buying a Parking Pass- but only a $15 one; you will be close enough, or a short walk from the Parking Lot. I can't see paying $20, to be very close.
More on the Parking,at the end of my review...
The security and guest service people were very helpful, and made sure you were going in the right direction to your seats. It was very cold inside, the air conditioning was on full blast, we were feeling it blowing in the backs of our necks, and had to leave our jackets on. A fan sitting one section over from us had on a hoodie, with a knit hat on too- really- indoors should be more comfortable ! I might add, it was 57 degrees outside...
The concession stands were good, lines were a bit long though as if they didn't have enough people working them. We had the Wetzel's Pretzels Bites, which were good, but we found a few raw/undercooked pieces in our bags. The drinks and hot dogs were good. We stopped at the Team Shop as we were leaving, and bought a few keepsakes- overpriced, but good ! (You are better off buying keepsakes on-line, less $$$...) The Security, Guest Services, and Parking Lot personnel were very good as we left; getting everyone out,and on their way. *A note about Parking- the Arena is located next to the Westgate Entertainment Area. There are at least 20 restaraunts, pubs, and other attractions to take in. If you arrive more than 2 hours before game time, you can park in Westgate, for free- this is to encourage fans to come early, and have a drink/meal before the game, or event. At 2 hours or less, before game time, they will charge you $10 for Westgate Parking. We bought a Parking Pass for $15, in Lot "J" ,on-line with our tickets.Lot "J" is closer than the Westgate Parking Lot; but the choice is yours ? This was a good experience, if the temperature was warmer, or more comfortable I would have given it a 5 of 5.

Nice arena. Could use renovations but was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and there is plenty to do nearby.

I sent them this email. I have yet to receive a response.
To Whom It May Concern:
On Saturday August 19th, I Ricky and my fiancé Kat had intentions in enjoying a wonderful date night at the Monster Truck Event at Desert Diamond Arena.
We had tickets in section 108 row T. While going to our section,108, I noticed it was cut off by seats and it would be too dangerous to just over so we decided to sit in row U.
About 15 min during the show 108 staff member “Donnette” requested to see out tickets, as we were in another Patrons seats. Totally understandable. I explained to staff member that I thought it would be dangerous to hop the seat so we just choose to sit here. She then said for us to jump over the seats and as I did, I happened to spilled $33 + Tip in drinks. I explained to Donnette that this was my concern with sitting in those seats. My GF, Kathlyn, requested “hey can we get our drinks replaced due to being told to jump over a seat which was very dangerous.” She responded that “ill could see what she will do.”
So, I’m sitting in my seats, which are now soaked from 2 full drinks spilling while my girlfriend had chose not to hop the seat and just stood behind me, in the isle, as we were afraid of another incident.
Donnette returned with Deb, her supervisor. Deb explained that she would not be able to reimburse us for our drinks that “I could go to where I bought them and that maybe they will reimburse you.” You and I both know that’s a cop out and that I would’ve never had a chance to go to one of your stands, and ask for two free drinks. My girlfriend requested that maybe if she went with me and explain the situation that they would be more inclined to provide us with spilled drinks due to your staff member telling me to do a dangerous act, in which cost me to spill my drinks. Deb reported that she would not help with that. I then requested that if she could assist me by having someone clean this up, where the drink spilled, so that we don’t have an accident, and potentially injure ourselves. She then immediately and unprofessional stated “ if you injure yourself it is not our fault”, my response to her was “actually that if I injure myself on this property it is your fault and I will make sure to mention your name “Deb” I then proceeded back to the concessions to repay for my drinks that I had spilled. Your supervisor frantically chased me down and followed me calling security against me for making the statement that I would use her name. She stated that “you will not mention my name.” “You’re not mentioning my name.” Then she proceeded to follow me to the concessions radioing security, every section that I walk past. While I was just simply going to replace my drinks. Keep in mind, I was calm, respectful, and not causing a seen by any means during this whole duration of your supervisor harassing me while trying to enjoy a date night with my girlfriend at your establishment.
Deb continued to follow me requesting security as a pass every section. I then decided to just wait for Security to arrive in hopes that they would understand that I am a not intoxicated, that I am being extremely calm and respectful, and that I have been mistreated by their staff.
The security that I spoke with was Doug and Justin. There was also a handful of security and police officers off to the side, waiting to jump in in the event that the conflict became worse. They stayed off to the side as I was obviously was not causing a scene or doing anything besides trying to replace my drinks.
Doug (security) took my story, he heard me out, then went to speak with Deb. Justin and I just talked while Doug was speaking to Deb. Doug then came back to me and reported that there’s nothing he can do. That they will not replace my drinks. That he suggest that I “just go back to my seats and not let us go on and ruin my night, which was a threat by your security member “Doug." Deb had already ruined my night at this point. I had already missed an hour of the event, due to Deb harassing me and unnecessary involving security. He then came back to me and stated “ I have to take her side because I work with her and she’s a supervisor.” That is just embarrassing that this is how your arena operates. I then requested if they would at least clean up the area where the spill was. Justin (Security) ask what section and area and reported that he would have someone clean it up.
As a Vice President and owner of a behavioral health organization. I train staff to treat my clients with respect, but most importantly to de-escalate, not escalate situations. Deb, obviously could use some training and learn that we are customers. I was never rude, or raised my voice to her. I simply requested a compensation for my drink, and to have somebody clean up the spill, so that no one would get injured. I was extremely respectful. I just wanted to enjoy a date night with my girlfriend, which was ruined by your supervisor “Deb” who is obviously untrained, uneducated and does not know how to De-escalate situation’s. Only make them worse.
I understand that it is hard it is to find a good help these days. I’m not writing this so that Deb gets fired. Unless she has had other incidents in the past, in which you may want to write her up and consider a demotion or termination. My only request is that you do write up this incident report and bring this up to her and please train her and your staff to treat your customers with respect and to not escalate situations. We pay good money to come to your arena to have a good time. We should not be treated as I was treated last evening. This night could’ve gone completely different. I could’ve fell. I could’ve been seriously injured and Desert Diamond Arena would have been liable. Then you would have received a more formal response from my business partner and attorney Tom. Thankfully, no one was injured. The only injury was the loss of over priced drinks, the loss of me being able to enjoy a good date night with my girlfriend and enjoy myself at your arena.
I would appreciate an investigation and take this as a matter of an incident report of what happened.
I would also appreciate if anything can be compensated for ruining half if not most of the show that we paid for. This can be reimbursed through payment or we would gladly except tickets to another event that we may be able to attend. However, more importantly, I would just appreciate if you could educate your staff, especially supervisors as somebody could get seriously injured, and your arena will be liable.
My contact information is below, please feel free to reach out to me via email or call. I do expect a response from this and will follow up if I do not hear back. The way I was treated last night was completely unacceptable. I will attach the pictures of row that I was requested to hop over so you can see where my seats were and how dangerous it was for me to climb over. That these were the seats I was told to climb over, by your staff. In the event that you choose to reimburse me for missing the show. I had also spent $90 on beverages. In which 35 $ was spilled.
PS - no one ever arrive to clean up the spill which is another embarrassment on the training of your staff and your liability.
Section 108 / row T, this is a picture from the aisle four the section 108 this is the seats that your staff told me to climb over.
I included a picture of the seat I was asked to climb over.

Quality rink with lots of ticket opportunities to watch the NHL coyotes! Look for game promotions for ticket deals! And go early to experience the stores and restaurants next to the rink. Free parking with a short walk!

It was really easy to get there and get out of there with our car. We caught a game between the Coyotes and the Canucks. Even if those two teams were out of the playoffs race, the show was great. The arena is very nice and we had great seats for a great prices. For 65 US$, we would almost sitting beside the ice. For that prices in the big markets, I am not sure you can even enter the building! If we are ever back in Arizona, we will go again for sure... if the team doesn't move!

We were in the area for Spring Training and decided to catch a hockey game the one evening that the Coyotes were at home. We do not have hockey near us, so it’s always a treat when we are able to catch a game. Lots of nearby parking for $10! You can’t go to events anymore and have parking that cheap! Easy to find for the out-of-towers. The venue itself had wide concourses and plenty of food options. We did not eat there - food and drink is pricey, but that is expected. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

both my husband and I are blind. We did this as our big gift to each other this year for our wedding anniversary at the end of the month. Everyone there was excellent! they helped us with our food, our souvenirs, anything else we needed. They were just willing to check on us and just make sure we had an excellent amazing evening! I would highly recommend this venue and if you have a disability they will be willing to work with you

We attend a game every year during spring break. Very cost effective & wonderful entertainment. We will continue to attend games when in town.

I went to my first Hockey game here for a girls night out and we had a VIP booth. My experience was amazing. I had such a great time!!!!! Only downfall is the drinks and snacks are a little pricey.

My first experience in this forum was in a muse concert, followed by a coldplay concert. The place isn't small but it gives you the cozy feeling and you feel even closer to your favorite band, the location is very centric and easy to locate.

My wife and I were in Phoenix for a work conference and I convinced her to go to the Coyotes game skipping a group dinner (priorities) Arena was awesome!! good food, great sound, great view, huge video boards, but it was cold as hell in there. My wife ended up buying a blanket just to stay warm. The people that sat behind us were from Chicago and they were all bundled up with gloves and everything and said that is the norm for this arena. So, if you go to a hockey game dress warmer that you think you will need to :)

We took in a hockey game and had great seats on the 2nd level front row. The arena is really nice and has lots of space to walk around to check out the vendors. They even have a Tim Hortons for us Canadians. I would recommend bringing a jacket though. We found it to be very cold sitting in the arena, I think I even put my gloves on! LOL The whole Westgate are is really nice. Take in one of the restaurants before a game, great atmosphere!

The nicest arena I've ever been in - it was completely full, estimated 20K people, and very clean and orderly, even the security checkin was smooth, and the doors opened right on time. Would definitely attend another event there. The Westgate Entertainment Center where the arena is located was awesome.

Attended Ace Comic Con here with my daughter. Nice facility and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked the lemonade and pretzels.

We have been to hockey arenas all over the world. This place really rocks. Great fans great atmosphere, good food, convenient venues and nice people. Decent team (at least on this night), and we will definitely return. You can save money by calling their main number, rather than going through the web site, (480) 563-7825. Great fun!

I went to my first ever hockey game to see my beloved Maple leafs play the coyotes. The venue is beautiful however be sure and wear warm clothes as I was freezing. It may be a different temperature for a concert or other event as the ice helped make it cold. The food was great lots of selections and the staff were all very very helpful.

I love going here during spring training and taking in a couple hockey games. Great facility!! Keep the coyotes here!!!

Attended a concert for the first time since this became Desert Diamond Arena and name change must mean nothing or let's make it worst. First off parking you pay for parking but the employees just standing there not doing anything to help traffic flow, signage was confusing. Employees need to at least do their job. Bag policy is different than all the others. Employee outside was short with people & not very helpful. Bag policy should be the same as all the other event places. No ushers to help find seats & if you have not been here before it helps to have people to ask. Womens restrooms were not stocked with toilet paper if the doors open at 6:30pm why is there not paper in half of the stalls by 7pm. Sound system was not the best most of the concert you could not understand what was being sung. Sound was bad before but now worse. The jumbo Tron could be used as screens but nope the tiny screens where being used & not in a good way. Just when you thought the City of Glendale could not care about this arena, they make it worse. Desert Diamond should be ashamed to have their name on the building.

Us four Brits enjoyed our evening at the Gila River Arena, even though the Arizona Coyotes lost!
This was the first time any of us had been to a US sporting even, so we were delighted with all the razzamataz and enthusiasm inside, as well as the impressive array of reataurants, bars, etc, in the surrounding area.
Easy access, good Uber rides, such friendly fans near us, good merchandise shops.
An excellent night out.

Ordered a double shot of TITO'S VODKA. The scam includes a a large rim fake double-shot holder . I was charged $45 for what the cashier & the bartender insisted was a double shot for two (2) drinks. Yes, I was the FOOL who purchased!
Take my advise, don't be fooled by the "Cheat Shots"!!

As a hockey fan from the northeast where you pay $75-$100 to sit in the nosebleeds, I love going to southern hockey cities where the fans don’t know anything. They can’t sell tickets and you can get So close for next to nothing. Sat in section 121, in the corner, six rows from the glass, for $35. Seriously. These are $250 in any real hockey city. I saw Tampa Bay versus Coyotes. First place team versus last place team. Great game, great view, great price. The arena itself is way out in Glendale which is a pain in the butt if you’re staying in Phoenix, but the arena is surrounded with this weird Disneyland-esque manufactured entertainment district with tons of restaurants and shops.
The downside is that it just didn’t feel right - didn’t feel like NHL hockey. For one, you could walk by the arena and have zero clue that there is an NHL team inside. There were no posters, no banners, no promotional type materials displayed outside the arena - nothing that I could find on the outside of the rink or in the courtyard between the restaurants and the main entrance that said anything about the Coyotes or hockey in general. It was really weird. I also went looking for a souvenir shop inside and the best I could find was a little booth with a few T-shirt’s and hats.
Overalll, it just seems like they really put very little effort in marketing or promoting their own team. No wonder they have no local fan base and 75% of the seats were empty with the BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE in town for the night.
The airport shuttle driver said it best the next morning when I mentioned I had gone to the game the night before .... he said “The radio stations in town give away Coyotes tickets as contest prizes. 1st Prize is one Coyotes ticket. 2nd prize is TWO Coyotes tickets”.
I feel bad for NHL players who end up in this team. No local pride.

When you plan on attending a coyotes game especially if you are from out of town, inquire about the special packs for the games. Usually they are on weekend games or less popular teams but they are well worth it. We managed to get a Pepsi 4 pack which was 4 lower bowl seats( at end) and 4 hot dogs and 4 Pepsi for around $200. Great value and great seats to see a NHL hockey game. The arena is amazing and atmosphere is what you make of it. Our family had a great night out.

I went to see the Eagles. Beyond excited to see them again. The staff was selective on the people permitted to snap photos. Some staff members were sweet, yet not sweet enough to my recommendation to view anything here.

Went there several times to see the Coyotes play. Always have a blast and after there is so much to do in the Westgate entertainment district. Often i would go get wings.
As for the arena it was as you would expect from any sports arena it was in good shape no bad seats although there are better seats. I will keep going here as long as the coyotes play. i would also come see other events here as well if they had them.

Only complaint about this arena is the smallish seats. Great view from everywhere....you can always buy a ticket as the box office just before the game as th place never sells out...

Pretty decent arena, I have been to nicer NBA/NHL arenas, but this isn't bad and parking was easy to get in and out. However the arena is way out in Glendale and for an NHL team I think it's ridiculously too far out of town.

Just returned from a hockey game! We had a great evening. Plenty of free parking.
Arena was very clean. Food a bit in the expensive side, but also expected it to be.
It was a very good experience. Detroit Redwings won 5-4,

I went to this arena for multiple Arizona Coyotes games and for the PBR And I recommend any that wants to see a Coyotes game, concert, or any event here to do so

This is located inside Westgate they have many different venues in the air hockey games sometimes a soccer game lots of concerts in the summer and winter they have the Rockets there around November December they have trade shows different types of games arts and craft shows my airplane shows they have many different things in here basketball list goes on and on, it just really depends on the summer or the winter venues but it's always different it's clean it's really nice and organized every time I've been there it's always free parking so come check it out it's pretty nice everything inside you know like food beer wine it's kind of expensive but it's typical let's give it a try air condition it's heated always comfortable temperature inside the bathrooms are clean, lots of security and well organized so you should have any problems

Great game day atmosphere and a beautiful arena to watch a game from. Beer was cold and the seats were comfortable. What more can you ask for?

Too bad this building isn't downtown and close to light rail. The commute during the week is monster killer. The facility itself though is top notch and too bad there is serious discussion of moving the team from here. Ample seat size for my good cushion, leg room ample as well. Sight lines well done. Public areas flowed well during prime time. Slight line for men's bathroom, but I did not see one for the ladies. That's rare. Try Tim Horton's concessions for good food and donuts (famous in Canada and I can see why). Team shop had great selections for Coyotes gear and the purchase line went quickly. Staff on premises all very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed our experience at this stadium and the facility itself I highly recommend. The journey to however is another story.

The noise within the stadium is horrendous! It assaults the eardrums and no doubt injures same by prolonged exposure to that racquet. Then the screen pops up and asks the crowd to make “noise”. .the spectators cannot outdo the piped in pounding and yelling. Awful!

Usually a very expensive spot for an type of refreshments, but with the Tim Hortons, it's possible to have a snack and (non-alcoholic)beverage in expensively.

This is a decent place to take in a NHL hockey game. All seats have an unobstructed view. Seats are not too small. Food choices are ok. They used to have Tim Horten's here but have replaced it with Dunkin' Donuts-no comparison! Bring back Tims! Fee parking for games can be had by the AMC theaters at Westgate. Also it is quite cold inside so dress warmly!

Great Arena. We were up pretty high but didn't get a nose bleed. All the seats seem to have a good view. Even had a Tim Hortons!!!!

This is a great arena. Anywhere you sit is a good seat. Easy access to everything. plenty of entertainment in and around the arena.

Lots of walking, many eateries and lots to do. Depending upon what you have come to see, dress for the event.

Traveled to Phoenix for a holiday and went here watch a hockey game. The arena is OK, but its the area around the rink that was fun. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants to choose from... very active before and after games. The arena has good site lines and decent seats....lots of vendors and never too busy, so service was good....Was a long wait to get into venue, unsure why, as the game was not sold out...Reasonable prices to watch a NHL game....

Attend a hockey game annually at this arena. It is located in Westgate Entertainment Village so that you can come hours in advance for food/drinks. Gila River Arena is modern and we try to locate ourselves on the first level for great viewing. The arena is busy like many arenas. Fun experience.

Nothing great or bad about this area...located near entertainment center for shopping an dining...also pood proximity to lodging.

Flew down to Vegas, rented car to Phx. Couple items for fellow fans. Gila Arena has NO wifi. If tickets are loaded on your phone, ensure you have data plan....they do have staff outside arena to help with data issues. Arena is cold...wish I had worn a hoodie. Beer is $13...there are NO happy hrs in adjacent bars on event days! Arena was only 2/3 full, perhaps an unfair comparison in that I was at Vegas Knights the game before but Gila Arena and area is pretty low key

My husband and I were in town to catch the Minnesota Wild/Arizona Coyotes hockey game and even though our beloved Wild lost, we so enjoyed the Gila River Arena. From the folks taking the tickets to the people directing you to your seats and taking your order - everyone was so nice and helpful.
It’s a beautiful venue. Very well thought out and cared for.
Thank goodness I patiently scoured different websites and found club level seating for one, two, three or four....a small group.
NOWHERE on the Gila River Arena site or the Arizona Coyotes site does it mention club level seating for small groups. It mentions options to entertain clients or larger groups on their site - but nothing about two people wanting to have a great meal, a few drinks and sit in a section with other hockey fans - who enjoy watching the game and not attending a social event.
I kept reading about spending the extra money and sit in the club and enjoy the hospitality, but I thought I either had to be part of a group, pay an exorbitant amount of money to be in the BMW lounge or just be out of luck.
Not until I called the Coyote’s box office did I find the Club level for my hubby and I. John helped me and we had great seats for $98 - sitting with like-minded fans and standing in short lines for drinks and real food.
The experience was wonderful, why is it hidden?

In two words. Good times. Went to dinner at Shane's (great) in the West Gate entertainment district next to the arena. Then on to the Coyotes game (also great). The arena was great (am I repeating myself). We couldn't have asked for a better time. Highly recommended to do an evening like this.

Nice enough arena, but the Jumbo Tron wasn't the greatest. It was too small, difficult to tell who had penalties and fir how long. I've seen better at University Stadiums in Canada. The beer was $12.00 for domestic can. The most expensive I've seen. Aside from all that, it's an OK facility. Easy to get in and out of and convenient parking.

We visited the arena with three other couples for a birthday celebration. Parking was easy and secure. Entry was easy with stub hub tickets on my iphone. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Every area we visited was clean. We sat in the 102 area and enjoyed every moment of the game. Great place to visit, great experience.

Nice arena in the heart of the Westgate Entertainment District. Perfect for hockey games or concerts. Hockey tickets are very reasonable. Food can be expensive, which is typical, but they do offer family deals and a very affordable all-you-can-eat section, great for kids.
The hockey game show itself is lacking compared to other team arenas I've been to, but I think that will improve as Arizona boosts interest and support in their team.

Great stadium! Easy to get to. Been to a few games but really like it as a concert venue. Great views and sound!

Easy to get to. Great area. Good seats. Except for the huge jerk who stood in front, swayed due to his drunkenness, left his middle row seat 5 times to get 5- 20 oz. beers and stepped on toes, including my wifes brand new shoes. Did I mention, this guy probably went 275#.
But the venue was good.

The arena is great for Hockey the games are always a great time and the restaurant selection on the concourse is good. All in all a good time.

a first NHL game for us and we were impressed by the game even though these were not first rate teams. the venue was nice and new and even the 'nose-bleed' seats had a good view of the game.

I had an opportunity to see a Coyotes game at Gila River Arena and visit the BMW Lounge. We had seats directly behind the visiting teams bench, rows E & F (it was a group outing. I had wanted to get a suite for a game for a long time, but it wasn't feasible financially. I splurged a bit to get a group package for 10 for the BMW Lounge, where all you can eat food and select draft beers and wine are included in the price of the ticket.
The food was really good! It wasn't your standard nachos and hot dogs. There were appetizers served in cocktail glasses, assorted chip/dip type snacks, etc. then for the main course, there was prime rib, roasted chicken, various delicious sides, and desserts. We were in hog heaven. After the main course, a period or two into the game, they brought out donuts, ice cream, cookies, toppings, popcorn, and baked pretzels with beer cheese sauce. Between the food and the beer/wine, I really feel like they lost money on us that night. We had some big eaters with us and they were very satisfied with the food.
The seats were incredible, I had never sat that close to the glass at an NHL game before. It was a first for many of us. What made it even cooler was that this was the first time we had ever played the Vegas Golden Knights at home. #HockeyHistory
The group package also came with a parking pass next to the arena, but we didn't use it, opting instead to hire a transport due to the large size of the group (plus the included draft beer/wine).
Overall this was an incredible experience! I hope to be able to do it again some day. I would definitely recommend going this route for anyone looking for a food and drink package.
**another cool thing about the BMW Lounge, is its proximity to the teams dressing rooms. One one end of the lounge (the side with plexiglass) you'll see the visiting team making their way back and forth to the ice, and on the opposite side (open, no plexiglass) you can see and even possibly fist bump the Coyotes. You have to get in there as soon as it opens to get a table on that side though. The lounge opens a couple hours ahead of the game.

We were here for Howl-o-ween! They had 1$ beer, pop and hotdogs as a special. Lots of costumes. Very friendly staff. It's a regular arena. Bring a sweater!!

We attending the Queen + Adam Lambert concert and had a great time. Parking was easy and there is so much to do right next to the venue. We wished we would have researched more about the arena. You can go early and there are several bars and restaurants right next door. There is a bowling alley and AMC movie center. Leaving after the concert was so bad either. The traffic was controlled very well.

The rink itself is one of the best I've been in. Not a bad seat honestly, could be a great hockey atmosphere if people actually showed up. Upper deck was very cold, really could have brought another jacket with the air conditioning blowing straight on you, and the prices for food or drinks are astronomical. It's really a shame that the Coyote's can't make this work.

Beautiful venue with excellent vendors, good food, convenient beverages. The people who apparently work for the arena are somewhat unpleasant to the paying guests. Rude, terse, and abrupt.

Scored some same day tickets to Arizona vs Vancouver and was thrilled to be able to see the game. Very very end of the season, so that no doubt improved the ability to get tickets. Arena virtually in the Westgate entertainment district, so very easy for dinner, game, parking, drinks all nearby. Only disappointment was the Club Red fifth row seats that I purchased were great seats from our blue line to the nearest net, but distorted through several layers of plexiglass to the far net . Several spectators nearby commented that it was "like looking through funhouse mirrors". Several people chose to move further up in the stands to decrease the distortion .

The food choices were great and the staff was helpful and careful about not letting people get into areas that they didn't have tickets for. Great game too.

My husband and I visited the arena for the first time for the Brad Paisley concert. It is a very nice facility, clean and easy to get to your seat. We enjoyed the concert very much. Our only recommendation would be to turn the volume of the mic down some on the music so we can better hear the vocal.

We attended a hockey game and the staff were friendly and willing to assist. This was the first time we visited and found it easy to get around, signage well placed and the facility was very clean including the washrooms

We frequently attend Coyotes Hockey matches at the arena and have sat in the cheapest and the most expensive tickets available. All seats are easy to get to and afford excellent views of the event (cant go wrong with any seat). For this review I attended the PBR Bull Riding with my mom and 86 year old father. My dad is in a wheelchair and so we sat in handicap seating. The seats were excellent, the staff was very attentive and helpful and the event was outstanding. My dad had a blast!

We often go to this arena for various events. The arena is large & had good acoustics. We saw the Fluffy comedy show this time out and we enjoyed the comical entertainment. The parking is $15 but, fortunately we were able to find a free space, not an easy task. The mixed drinks are expensive. We paid over $20 for a Margarita with a double shot. Next time we will have drinks at a more economical locale. Other than that, we had a blast!

Great to see hockey in the desert, they struggle to get fans and seats are inexpensive. Most of the fans seem to come from northern climes and the visiting team seems to have more fans than the home team.
Good production value friendly staff at the arena lots of fun in the Westgate entertainment district around the arena

Recently caught a Coyote's game at Gila River Arena. The arena has great sight lines, easy to get around, and great food options.

Easy to park, easy to enter, all seats have good views and comfortable. Decent food prices. Overall a good place to visit for any event.

Took my daughter to her first concert here to see Billie Eillish. Parking wasn't too bad, but we got there early. Plenty of places to hang around and eat/drink while waiting to get in. Once we got in the doors, it was pretty easy to get around. Not the greatest food vendors/concessions, but decent. Good seats for the show as there really weren't many "bad seats" by the way the concert was set up. Pain in the butt to get out unless you are in the first group to leave.

Traveling the NHL arenas, shocked to see such a 1980's MTV music video quality Jumbotron here. Crowd was incredibly enthusiastic and loud for the few that were there; pretty sure section 121 is the "moms get away..." ya. Value score is HUGE here, can't beat AZ prices other than maybe Islanders, Hurricanes, and Panthers. I think Tucson (AHL's) dinky little convention center is nicer and that's pathetic. Only thing making up for low quality experience the Yotes put on was the BMW Lounge; being able to see either team enter and exit the ice is phenomenal. Try to get tickets in the rows that allow access to it; all you can eat and drink till the start of the 3rd. Overall it's ok, compared to other NHL arenas.. lol.

Even though the Coyotes didn't have the best season, this was still a great experience. The arena is beautiful and in a good Location in Glendale. Lots of shopping and restaurants within a few minutes of the arena.
Tickets are reasonably priced. Rumor has it they want to move venues to Tempe? Why? Because it is such a beautiful arena. They want more attendance... and no doubt Tempe would be a better location. However, a winning team would probably bring the crowd anyways!
If you're into sports, and feel like making the trip to Glendale, this is for you. Especially after going from a baseball game in 95 degree weather to the cool atmosphere of a hockey arena.
Who would have thought it would be cold in a hockey arena? Haha but seriously make sure to bring a jacket and/or long pants because it's pretty cold inside.

What a wonderful show! But Gila river arena why did you have to charge so much for your drinks? Shows or hockey games... fun place but seriously

This is a new arena with comfortable seats, and a great view for watching hockey from any location. It's surprisingly cold inside, so no matter how warm it is outside, bring a sweater and/or jacket.

The rink is ok and there are lots of food and beer vendors. If you want healthy food eat before you go. It isn't usually sold out so bathroom lineups are minimal. Parking is relatively cheap and getting in and out is well controlled by local police. The area around the rink has lots of action during events. Scalpers are quite a distance from the rink and you will have to look for them. I assume it is illegal.

Here for the coyotes vs Oilers game and decided to come a few hours early. There is so much to do here tons of bars and restaurants! Drink on the outside if you're wanting to beer is expensive inside the arena!

Attended soul to soul concert and thought the facility along with thier staff were very nice and helpful. If another opportunity presents itself, we will return.

This arena is great for a hockey experience. We went on Star Wars night and is was great fun. Costumes were great. Seats are reasonably priced. Concessions are plentiful. Parking is $10 unless you have utilized the outlet shops. Plenty of restaurants in the area also. Definitely visit again.

The Gila River Arena is a beautiful arena but getting to it in rush hour traffic is awful. During the midday you can be up in the area of the arena in less than half an hour. If you go there for a hockey game u need to leave yourself 11/2 hours if your coming from downtown Phoenix. The drive alone will take 1 hour, then if u want cheaper parking it's a little further down the street from the arena. The concourse at the front of the arena is gorgeous, lots of restaurants & bars. If your Canadian you'll be happy to know there is a Tim Hortons coffee consession in the food concourse!

This is a very nice hockey stadium. It is well maintained and has pretty good food. If anyone is coming to Phoenix, I would recommend to stop by for a coyotes game, you won't regret it!

The venue is great for a concert. Great acoustics and facility.
You may want to check if there is a sporting event at the next door stadium as getting into the arena was a mess on Saturday. Major traffic jam. Otherwise, just leave early to attend your event. We sat in traffic for 1/2 hour barely moving.

Wish I could give this Arena a good review, but it's just not possible.
Security caused quite a lot of issues by preventing certain purse sizes to be allowed in at the door. My wife and daughter were lucky enough to just barely make it, but other girls had to get out of line and check the slightly larger bags.
Nowhere on the ticket was a bag size limit written. I blame the arena for not informing patrons prior to this necessity.
This was a Shawn Mendes concert and needless to say he attracts a major female following. Therefore, girls have purses.
And if that wasn't enough of a hassle, the seats in our row were mislabeled for numbers so confusion reigned at the beginning of the concert. We had seats 10,11 and 12. Only my seat had a number and it was labeled 9. The only thing the security could tell us was the last seat in the row was 16. So counting down we had the right seats. But come on! I've never been to this kind of disorganized venue.
Even the lines for t-shirts were ridiculously long. We missed most of the opening act because too few merchandise areas were available.
Don't think I'll take my family back to the GILA River Arena any time soon.

A lot of good hockey games I have seen here. Seats are good most of the crowd is friendly. a good place to watch a hockey game

Hockey Game with my husband. This was our second hockey game at the arena and I still didn't dress warm enough. We buy 200 level tickets and at that kevel the AC is so strong that the indoor temp must be about 50 degrees. My hair is blowing around from the force of the AC. I understand it is hockey and thw rink is ice and needs to be maintained which requires cold, but other arenas I have been in for hockey are not frigid and blowing AC.
The restroom facilities have always been clean when we have been to the arena. I have only had a glass of wine from consessions which was good.
I foresee attending many more events at the arena. Parking is plenty, we had our parking fee removed from our dinner bill. Easy access in and out.
3 stars only because I think it is way to cold in the upper level during hockey. All other aspects of the arena deserve 5 stars.

The Gila River Arena really putts on a Great Show. We had a lot of fun @ the Coyotes/Blackhawk Hockey Game! The Stadium is clean, good seating, great sound and fun entertainment between Hockey play. They also Honored a Military staff person at the game along with loyal fan members. We will be returning soon to another game @ Gila River Arena!

We traveled to AZ to see the Rangers vs. Coyotes. I don't think there is a bad seat in this place. It is great that parking is free for hockey games. Lots of eating and drinking establishments around the arena for pre-game festivities. The area itself does not have good eating options for vegetarians. This is one drawback - do a better job of food service. Also, it is very expensive.

Went to a Blues-Coyote game. Had no trouble buying (on the team's ticket site) lower bowl seats at the end where the Blues shoot twice. Great family deal with 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas. After an easy entry ( i.e. Did not dump my purse completely out!), we needed to go to Will Call to pick up our food vouchers. Our usher was genuinely friendly and welcoming to all the Blues fans wearing our gear in the enemy building. Coyotes fans were polite and very friendly. We never felt unsafe in the opponent's arena. Nice variety of food, clean bathrooms, comfortable seats, good sight lines. Good arena to travel to with your team.

Thanks for putting up with Blackhawks Nation. Hockey is territorial and Hawks fans get that. The service and security at Gila River was top notch.
We live in Vegas where recent events have us all scrutinizing security procedures. While some see the metal detectors and airport type searches as inconvenient, I appreciate the process.
Arizona, you have a great thing going here- dig into this team and this culture. Chicago had some bad years, many many many bad years. You need to check it out to appreciate it, and support it so you can keep it here.
The arena and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and inviting. I’m jealous- big time! Oh and the ice girls are very cute too 😜!
Cheers-

We went for the Game of Thrones concert and had a really great time. Seemed well organized. The workers in the swag store were really great with every ones questions. Big shout out to the guys working valet. They were moving quick and the line moved swiftly.

A good sports location with comfortable seating and excellent site lines. The food and beverage opportunities are good; you won't go hungry.

We enjoyed our game very much, there were plenty of food venders and the prices were in reasonable. The restrooms we kept clean during the entire evening.

Seats are amazing. Perfect views, no obstruction.
They check people in quickly and the crowd after the game dispersed just as quick. Best arena we have been in.

Been to many NHL arenas over the years and this by far is my favorite. Sight lines & Acustics are great. Some of the best. They had a mini Alice Cooper concert between periods on a party deck. The surrounding area of the stadium has many bars, restaurants and other shopping in one central location. Any team building a new stadium should see how Glendale built theirs. Overall a really really great place.

We visited this arena to watch the Ducks play Phoenix. It was a nice arena and the outside is around an outside mall with so much to do. The parking was free which was a plus. It was very clean and the employees were very friendly. My family had a great time.

This was our first comic con and we had a great time here. They had venders throughout each level and it was easy to get to. The security was well placed and we felt safe the whole time we were there. There are a lot of places to eat outside in the restaurant area and even a movie theater. I wouldn’t mind going back to see a game there.

This place is great for Coyotes games but also concerts! Saw Coldplay here and the set up was great. It's big but doesn't feel too big. The acoustics were great.

My visit to this arena/facility was for a national training event that included about 16,000 people. Gila River Arena was a great place to hold our event. It's a modern facility that's clean and well appointed. Getting in and out of the facility is easy and allows quick access to the many restaurants and clubs across the street as well as the adjacent Renaissance Hotel. Inside, views are excellent and unobstructed. Nearby parking is plentiful. I'd certainly be in favor of holding future events there.

The venue itself is good. There is ample bathrooms and places for food and drink. The seats are typical stadium seating. Need to arrive early the security checks going in are slow and inefficient, and be ready sit in long lines after an event as Glendale PD despite numerous years of operating stadium events still do an awful job of getting vehicles out of the parking lot with a good flow. Or it is an intentional thing to get frequent event goers to hit the bars at west gate after events to let traffic thin out. They also charge 10 dollars parking which of course is a discount at a restaurant if you eat pre or post sporting or concert event. If you do that be prepared for long waits or to be there really early to get a seat. Glendale has it set up to make the experience a pain if you don't plan on spending money.

Great arena ! No long waits for food bathrooms and drinks. Lots of fun for the whole family. Try the garlic fries , they are amazing !

We enjoyed ourselves at the Carolina Hurricanes and Arizona Coyotes hockey game. Nice arena - pleasant crowd and a wonderful venue. Canes won - which probably made it better for us. Food is a little pricey - but we had a good time. What was wonderful is the area around the arena. Tons of bars and restaurants - that was a great thing and we are envious of this in Raleigh (I know our Hurricane owner is as well). We will return again.

We were able to take in a Coyotes hockey game, they won!!, and had a great time. The Arena is clean and well organized, I am not sure there is a bad seat in the house. The sound system is amazing for such a large space and even the food was pretty good. The prices were all on the low side for professional sports events so a good place to go and take in a hockey game.

Sound quality at the venue was beyond bad. There are some seriously bad reflections bouncing off of the upper section and ceiling that basically turns the entire show into a muddy mush of sound. Could barely even hear the performer speak normally in between songs. Given the extremely expensive price of the ticket, I would expect good sound quality at a bare minimum. I would not recommend seeing a concert at this venue, which was clearly not designed for musical performances.

Have been to this stadium many times and enjoyed the show. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the stadium is clean. Parking is good and the courtyard area outside is fantastic for meals and fun before and after. Great location

Attended 20 Anniversary game. Good sight lines from our seats. Steps steep to seating row. Experience was not as good as it should have been because we were under an air conditioning vent which blew cold air on us for the entire game. Not pleasant.

We've been to about half of the NHL's arenas for games and this is among the best. Staff is great.
We sat in section 111, center ice, and had the penalty box slightly obstruct our sight of one of the nets, but it was great to think we might be on TV for less than $150 each. (Record the game at home!)
Tips:
--Bring a jacket.
-Come early and pay the $20 to park near the arena. We were directed to a space close to one of the billboards for best location.
-The nearby Yardhouse will have an extraordinary beer list at high prices. It is also crazy crowded.
--Eat beforehand because good food options are limited. We had a very late lunch so we had room for a Poutine ( French fries with layers of choice of meat, etc, and some gravy) at the Smoke's counter near section 120, I think. Avoid hot dogs, we were told.
-Bring a jacket!!

We go to hockey games all the time. Go Coyotes! Many great concerts and shows there also, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Justin Beiber and PBR Bull Ridiing. The employees are helpful and want you to enjoy your time there,

Attended the Coyotes v. Golden Knights game. Vegas crushed the home team 5-1. The venue was a pleasant experience, with good food and friendly employees. Located near many restaurants and the parking was very easy to navigate too :)

Saw Katy Perry show here with my wife. We had a great time at this venue. If you're going to drink, I'd highly recommend buying a bottle of wine! It cost $40 or you can buy a beer and margarita for $36.
Cool spot to see a big star

I don't find this stadium to be very comfortable. Seating is very tight and uncomfortable. The food service was so slow, took over 25 min to get out order, missed 12 minutes of the second period.

Although I'm not a sports person, my wife and I LOVE the Trans Siberian Orchestra and went to see it two weeks ago at the arena. The amount of Employees available and their knowledge made the whole experience a pleasure. Although parking was jammed as there was also a Cardinals game going on at the same time, it was still worth the trip. The arena is clean and friendly as is the whole area of Gateway!

Had dinner at pizza restaurant in the entertainment area first, so was able to park for free. Then walked over to arena to watch a hockey game. Was greeted by cheerleaders at the front and had our picture taken with them. Arena inside was standard like any other arena in North America.

Hsve been here 4 times so far. There isn't a bad seat, even the ones way up high. Can be chilly (as others have said) but if you own a Hockey Jersey for your favorite team, be sure and wear it and you won't need a jacket.

We have gotten to catch quite a few games over the years this arena has great seat from all tiers lots of give always during games a great surround of restaurants and shopping and tons of ticket options

Very modern facility with good restaurants(fast food but tasty fast food) and sound system for sports and concerts

1st hockey game and they did not disappoint at all, im truly am a coyote fan now... great game and great arena

Well now that Glendale, az is losing the Coyote's to their new home in Tempe, Arizona that's what this struggling arena will be. It's always lost money and will probably continue to do so but it's a decent arena in comparison to Talking Stick arena in downtown Phoenix, but just not as centrally located for most people in the valley. That being said saw the Transiberian Orchestra here on Dec. 26, 2016 and it was a fantastic show with great staging and this arena works well for such a show the floor seats where have reasonable clearance but please don't tighten up the leg room any more than it is. Concessions are as always highway robbery when they have you trapped inside.

Seeing the home team on the road is always fun. Being welcomed in and treated to a lovely arena with great services makes it that much nicer. Great seats, easy access and fun restaurants everywhere.

For my first time I watched a Coyotes vs Penguins game in Phoenix. The fact that a Phoenix Nationals team can’t get Phoenix support from Phoenix fans IN PHOENIX blew my mind. They were all Penguins fans. I was embarrassed for Arizona, that some mindless cult phenomenon for a state they’ve never been to, took precedent over state pride and common sense. Shame on you. I will never endure another Coyote game with so many traitors.

We attended a Jets game at this arena and it was great. There are many beverage options, the arena is beautiful and concourse area is spacious compared to other arenas. We arrived early to explore the area and ate dinner at the Saddle Ranch Chop House adjacent to the arena, which was great for atmosphere but not so great for the food. Next time we would try the Yard House which had a fun atmosphere.

We drove off the highway and right to the arena and parked. It was too easy. $10 bucks and a 2 minute walk and we were inside the arena looking around. Leaving was just as easy. The arena is nice, the concessions are good and the staff were friendly.

This was my second NHL game this season; the first being the St. Louis Blues.
The arena is in the middle of a large entertainment district with movie theatres and restaurants. The is abundant surface parking but you have to orbit the lots to find a space.
Once inside, it is a little difficult to find your seats. It isn't an oval shaped concourse like other arenas but one with many sharp turns. We saw only one escalator so ended up taking the elevator to our seats.
The arena was more than half empty because the Coyotes aren't that good.
We didn't try any of the concessions because like other arenas, the food and drink is way over priced.

We got our tickets for free thru ALS , I thank them much, I wandered at first, our seats were quite high, a joy got to see the whole field and players and watch on the big screen, I would go again,if Seattle was playing.

Gilda River is a very nice hockey rink - but it is a very cold arena!, dress warm! Lots of restaurants and bars nearby! Tickets are very reasonable.

We will never see an event here. They have zero parking Procedures. The large lot 6 had one entrance. It took an hour and a half to get parked. We arrived one hour early for a concert and missed the opening number. For a large city with an arena that will draw many guests one would think they would have a better parking Procedure.

Attended a couple Coyotes games while in phoenix, first games out there I have been to and not disappointed. Gila River does a great job, there is lots of shops, restaurants, bars, a mall across the way, and parking wasn't too bad. can hold lots of people in the area and had lots going on for Coyote fans.
The hardest part was the trip there from where we were staying, traffic was crazy busy and took a lot longer to get there then expected, but once you arrive it is a fun family night out.

Came here for a hockey game and was pleasantly surprised by everything! The entertainment district outside is awesome and a great place to spend some time before the event. Parking was free so that was a plus. The stadium is clean and the sight-lines for a hockey game are great. My only complaint was I guess they did away with the Tim Hortons inside...not cool.

I was there for opening night of this venue and have gone often for a wide variety of events since. It is fine for its original purpose. All seats provide a good view of hockey and they have solved some of their original problems (like customers having to wear winter coats and gloves because the AC was too high).
But it is not suitable for concerts. The seating is very uncomfortable as you are going to be leaning and trying to look sideways for the whole concert unless you have floor seating. I most recently saw Elton John there. I was embarrassed Phoenix could not provide a better venue for his final tour, The big digital screens were either not working or not on (when have you seen a rock concert with no video projection of the performer?). So a large part of the audience could not get a view of Elton or whatever was going in the background behind him. He announced that the mysteries about the song "Daniel" would be resolved when the audience saw the video playing behind him while he played the song. Well, I guess I will go to the grave with that mystery, since I could not see the video.
The food and drink selections for all events are limited, tasteless, unimaginative and overpriced. I always plan to eat before or after an event. The parking is confusing and pricy as well.
I understand the budget problems in Glendale, but paying customers should get their money's worth. I would go to events much more often if it was not such a hassle to do so there.
Most recently

We had a great event at this venue. The arena staff protected the areas that were suppose to be for only our staff. They were friendly and helpfully. The food in catering had a wide variety and they also let us bring in pizza for a party. The event was a success!

A great arena with lots of food and beverage vendors. The staff is very helpful with way-finding. The plaza entrance is energetic and also offer lots of food choices too. I saw Disturbed last night and it was an awesome experience. Great views from all areas of the venue. Special events require paid parking, pre-sale or cash only. Great place to enjoy any event!

Booked the seats on line. Loved the way you could see on the screen the view of the game from the seats you wanted to purchase. Section 105 Row S was our choice and they were great

All I could say is WOWSA!! This place is awesome! Location is fantastic adjacent to a mall with every type of store and eatery you can imagine. The venue itself was amazing for the concert. Great acoustics and easy to get around. Plenty of food and drink vendors all around. Loved this place and can’t wait to return for another concert. Parking was a bit hectic, but for $20 you get pretty good spaces. Just allow yourselves plenty of time.

I had a great experience on my first visit to this arena. At the time back in 2010 it was called the Jobing.com Arena and the Phoenix Coyotes thoroughly beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-0!
My seat was up at the Club Level which offered a different, but amazing view. Drinks were a bit pricey, but I guess one must expect this at events such as this one.
There were also a great deal of tasty snacks and treats to eat.
Will definitely return here in the near future for more games!

Have been at Gila several times since moving to AZ. along with a number of Valley venues.
For sports. all sight lines are great. The sound for concerts competes with single use concert halls.
The staff has always been pleasant, helpful and easy to approach.
The only downside is the small number of events. My wife and I would enjoy attending more events.

Absolutely aweful. Got seats with zero view of anything and it wasn’t indicated as obstructed view. Worse than that, the usher staff and employees were downright horrible, rude and unprofessional. Have never been treated so poorly at an event.

We attending a coyotes game here. All seats give pretty good views of the game. For the die-hard tims fans, there is a Tim Hortons on the lower level. For good value, try finding seats in the upper level between the blue lines - good viewing at a reasonable price.

I am a true hockey lover. This was my first visit to see the Coyotes play. It was a win over the NJ Devils. The arena was easy to find, with a lot of walkable parking. Bonus if you arrive early, there is also an outlet mall within a half mile of the stadium. I can say though that the food in the arena left a LOT to be desired. $12 for a bag of undercooked Wetzel Pretzel bites and a bottle of water. Then when I couldn't stomach them, I thought -you can't ruin a dog! - I was wrong. The hot dog (or Coyote Dog as they call it) was certainly hot. But the bun was so soggy that it was slimy! But all in all I went for the game, not the food and the game was good, the arena was clean and the staff was courteous.

Fun filled arena for all ages at a price that’s affordable and reasonable!!!! Simple Beauty. In need of real fun time? Then look no further than Gila Arena 👍👍👍

The staff puts on an entertaining show for Coyotes games. You can pick up cheap nose bleed tickets from brokers then once the game has started move down to the many open seats near ice level.
A bargain for visiting NHL fans.

This was the first time we had been to the arena for a hockey game and we were totally impressed with the venue. We purchased tickets the weekend before when we were at the RV show at the stadium next to the arena. The ticket kiosk was easy to use, parking was free and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our seats were excellent , arena was very clean and easy to navigate. It was a wonderful evening and we plan to go to more games in the future!!

This is a fantastic spot for this arena. The food choices right outside its doors are great. The signs were all posted and correct. Easy to park and get to. Clean. Friendly security and staff. Clean bathrooms. We came for the ACE Comi con and would definitely return.

Our family is big hockey fans. Since the Coyotes were playing a game while we were in town we had to go see some NHL hockey. The arena is really nice. We parked at the hotel parking lot next door so our walk wasn't that bad to get to the arena. We walked right in to our seating level. The only down side to the night is they don't let you ring your cowbell so leave that at home.

Great place for hockey. Located in Westgate Entertainment District. We came from Surprise and it was so easy to access and park. Get there early enough and there are free parking options for concerts & hockey. Great sight lines to watch game.

Great arena for hockey. The parking was easy. Walk up good. Pretty easy to drive out. Site lines in the building very good.

We out of way from our stay in downtown Phoenix
beautiful area around the arena with lots and lots of restaurants
across the street is that tangers shopping mall lots to do
We had excellent seats and excellent service was interesting to see for us that the Timmys in the arena was the busiest line
game was fun the only problem was it was freezing cold
the girl who was taking tickets had to wear long underwear
All in all a great place to go all in all great place to visit

We went to our first NHL game and had a nice time. The stadium is well lit, and had plenty of vendors. I would strongly advise that you dress in layers as it is quite cold inside the stadium and we were sitting near the top too!! I would definitely bring my winter jacket and wear long pants the next time I attend. Other than that a pleasant experience. I also think that the apparel were exceptionally overpriced although I recognize that these venues tend to be overpriced.

A superb arena that's kept nice and cool, plenty to do and see and great seats. My first time there and well worth the visit.

We come over to this arena several times a year, especially for the Chicago Blackhawks/Coyotes games. It is one of our favorite rinks. The entire complex is great with many restaurants to choose from and lots of activity. The arena itself is very clean, not a bad seat in the house and a terrific staff.
Food is average and beer is pricey but that's typically true of arenas. We have an early or late dinner at one of the restaurants in the outside complex as opposed to eating much in the rink.
For watching a hockey game though, it is absolutely one of the best rinks. Another great touch; at every game they honor a local military person. Really a nice touch.

The arena had a dedicated area for ride share drop off/pick up. The seats were good, even for the nose bleed section. There are plenty of vendors throughout the arena.

Hockey season is just around the corner and this place has great sitelines. Whether you love the Yotes or follow another team, not a bad seat in the house. As for concerts, the sound is solid and again great views of the stage.

The actual arena is fine...but the SEATING is awful. Those were the SMALLEST seats I've ever sat in. I'm 6' and not fat and I BARELY fit in them. Unfortunately for us a 350 lb person sat next to us and spilled over into my seat so I literally had to lean into the seat next to me. I don't usually write reviews, but this is RIDICULOUS. For this reason alone, I will not go back to Desert Diamond

Arena is in A Great place, too much to do, the Games are awesome, Live Hockey, you gotta go! We get awesome seats when get here, great food anywhere you go, great drinks, good desserts

Great arena, a must is do the BMW club, great food and cocktails, plus my 13 year old was in the tunnel fist pumping kaner & toews! Great seats and friendly customer service!

I saw my first ice hockey game here and enjoyed the experience. The coyotes actually won the game and I was able to laugh as all of the fans howled like coyotes..... wooo woooooo wooooooooo woooooooooo!!!!!

My colleague and I attended a match last night and it was a wonderful evening. We enjoyed some excellent food in the fan suite, sat one row from the ice, and enjoyed a great win by the Coyotes (against the Sharks). The arena staff and the players were down to earth, professional, and provided an inviting as well as entertaining evening.

Three Alberta couples attended the Edmontn Oiler/Arizona Coyotes game on Feb 4. The security check took far to long. They need more scanners. We were at the top row in the 'end zone' but view of the rink was fabulous.Seats are pretty steep here so was a bit scary walking down row with othe patrons in the way. Sound was great! Coyotes didn't play well but Oilers played one of thier worst games. Outcome favoured the 'Yotes" but it was an interesting visit to a very nice facility.

Enjoyed an NHL game here Dec. 23. Seats are comfy, food, drinks, souvenirs available. There is entertaining programming on jumbotron throughout the game -saw a couple get engaged! Parking can be tricky so get there early. Westgate area, where rink is located, is very inviting so plan a pre or post game meal at one of the many pubs/restaurants in the greater complex.

We went to see a Coyote game. The facilty was very clean, the security goes through your purse prior to entry. The security people were really nice. The prices for food and drink are high, as expected, We were seated in the nose bleed section and we had a great view of everything. It was chilly, so bring a jacket. We had a great time.

I always love coming to this place. You can't beat the overall atmosphere. We saw Blake Shelton and Friends. The sound quality and screen viewing was fantastic. And they really have their act together how they get you out of the parking lots.

Went for a hockey game. Coyotes vs Pens. Didn't seem like there were any bad seats. We had a great view of the game and were pretty far up. Not the most food choices of any arena but plenty. Beer prices were a little less than we have paid in other cities. Nice place.

Went to one of the last hockey games not too long ago. One of the biggest problems was.....Parking!
The problem is that the arena is located in the Entertainment District which make competing for parking a premium. With other types of entertainment going on and especially on weekends (Fri-Sun) parking is at a premium! So if you go to the arena for ANY event make sure you get there in plenty of time as parking can be hard to find.
Now, that being said, The stadium is typical of any hockey stadium with the exception of whom ever is in charge of the in between "music". Ok, I'll admit, I'm an old guy. I use to go see the L.A. King play when the Great Gretski and Luc Robitaille were playing. They had music then but wasn't bursting the ear drums and extremely loud like what's going on at Gila River Arena! We actually had to get up and leave as the "head banger" music was just too much! So if you go, make sure you take some ear plugs!

I'm not a really big fan of the NHL but have been to games in Tampa, Vancouver and now Glendale. The recent Chicago game, with more Blackhawks' fans in attendance than home team fans, was well worth the price of admission. I sat at center ice, first row of the balcony above the suites and was able to see everything perfectly. The arena itself is a great hockey venue, seating 17,000+ I was glad I wore a cashmere turtleneck and down vest as the arena temperature was quite cool for an Arizona resident like me. I was also glad I brought along a pair of drugstore ear plugs as the music and/or sound effects are blaring. I was treated to a good game. The Coyotes dug themselves a hole very early but mounted a spirited comeback and almost came away with a win. The fans, at least around me, were polite and into the game. I parked in an arena lot (Lot G) just a short walk to the arena for $20 and coming and going was no problem. There are many food choices within the arena; I went with a Papa John's personal pizza & Diet Pepsi ($15) and was satisfied. I had a great overall experience and truly hope Coyotes' team support remains strong and the franchise remains in Arizona forever. One thing to note: if you're attending on a weeknight and coming from out of town, give yourself plenty of time because of the awful traffic.

What an awesome venue for our group of 13,000. Great sound system and central stage. Convenient to local lodging and restaurants. All of the Arena staff and vendors were helpful and focused on customer service!

This is a good arena to watch hockey games. The concourses are wide and are easy to get around in. The concession areas are plentiful and the prices are comparable to other areas. The fans, for the most of it, are respectful to fans of the apposition. Great scoreboard. Easy access parking. Lots of bars and restaurants just outside the area.

Watching a Concert At Gila River is a delight. Just the right size to attract top named not not too large Lots of eateries next to it. Easy in and out. You gotta love it

We visited here to attend a Winnipeg Jets vs. Arizona Coyotes game. We had been shopping before hand, so we were in Shorts and Tank Tops... I would not recommend that! Other than that, we had a great time! Buy your tickets ahead of time, they are cheaper that way. We even got to see our Winnipeg Jets win! :)

We had a really good time watching hockey here. Food was fine, parking $$$ but easily accessible. Lots of energy in the stadium.

Overall, I had a great experience for our convention. Really big location, the screens were also a plus, snack as any other place was overpriced (but I was expecting it). The only think that was inconvenient was only one side was open and with such a large crowed it took some time to get in and out. Other than that, restaurants and stores at Westgate are very convenient.

We went to the TSO concert here Dec. 26th 2016. We got to the Maryland exit from the 101 half an hour early, then spent the next half an hour waiting in traffic for 4 blocks trying to get into the parking lot. The hangup seemed to be a large quantity of arrogant people who hadn't prebooked valet parking pulling into that lot thinking they'd use that service, only to be turned away, because that service had been sold out over a month prior. We then had to wait for each of them to uturn out and rejoin the que. Getting into lot G (which we'd prebooked) and getting parked was pretty speedy. We then had to wait 15 minutes to go through the metal detector. We walked to our seat as the first song was playing. I was excited to have floor seats on the asile 32 rows back... but floor seats are a series of 15 inch wide folding chais that are attached to one another with no spacing. I booked the asile seat thinking I'd have more room because I could kick my leg out. The reality was that nobody's butt is under 15 inches, and the spillover of each person from the middle of the row outward nets folks in the asile seat half a seat. I literally could only have one cheek on the chair. I told myself I'd figure out how to seperate the chair from it's row at the intermission, but there wasn't one, so I kept trying to shift around uncomfortably for two and a half hours. Concert itself was pretty good! Can't say I'd have been willing to pay so much more for a floor seat If I'd have known what I was paying for. Next time I'd shoot for front row arena seats.

This was our second time attending a concert at this venue, and I gotta say it was a great experience. From the security officers at the entrance to the employees inside, everyone was very nice. Being an experienced concert-goer, I knew the drill: certain size purses not allowed, which is a small price to pay for being safe! Once inside, the workers were busy tending to people, answering questions, cleaning and ushering. The facilities were very clean, A+ from me.

Easy access from the 101 and plenty of free parking around, not too mention a lot of restaurants, bars and entertainment all at the same spot !

Recently took my wife to see Hall & Oates/Tears for Fears at the Arena. The venue is fine and not overwhelmingly large. We had folding seats on the floor and a good view of the stage. Hadn't been to a rock concert in a very long time and was a bit surprised by the price of tickets and the price of refreshments. To an extent I understand the ticket prices for good seats, but $30.00 for two draft beers seems a little steep.

Very good stadium, with fantastic employees helping everywhere. Very courteous and professional. Good concession stands. Excellent access and parking.

Watched a regular season ice hockey game here between the Coyotes and the Sharks. Man did the Coyotes roll over San Jose. They beat them 5-3!
Loved every minute of it!
I really do love Gila River Arena and its layout. It's one of the best arenas for sports. I've never been to a concert here however.
Won't recommend buying any concerssions - water costs $5 and beer cost $10. But this is the norm everywhere!

Great arena to catch a hockey game, we were able to get seats on the 3rd row and see the visiting Penguins.

Had a chance to see the coyote game. The atmosphere was very energetic despite a small crowd. The news is we were able to get excellent seat at a very reasonable price. The game was very competitive and the quality of play would suit any hockey fan.

We visited for a Coyotes NHL game against the Dallas Stars. The stadium was easy to get to & easy to find a park close by (although it was $20). We walked straight into the entertainment/dining area outside the front gate and it was buzzing, and not too crowded - I can only imagine on football days though it would be very crowded here. There's plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the entrance.
We walked through security and had our tickets scanned all in less than 2 minutes. As soon as we stepped inside, we had someone trying to help us locate our seats and the staff all throughout the stadium were excellent. The main merch store had a wide variety of Coyotes gear, typically priced.
We had good seats (about 7 rows back from the glass) but it felt as though there weren't really any bad seats in the arena.
It's a very nice, easy stadium and if we were Phoenix residents, I'd easily be back here often.

Had front row end seats to The Cure. Security didn’t do crap the whole time when all the drunk people came and pushed me and my family out of the way throughout the entire concert. I even had some drunk girl stick her hand on my face when I asked her to please get out of our seats. Security eventually escorted her out, but it took them forever. Every time I went to use the bathroom or get a drink, I came back and our seats were taken. We had to fight off the people ourselves to get them back. Even then it didn’t matter because new self-entitled people would come and shove us out of the way again. A few different people came and actually moved our belongings from our seats to sit in them while we were standing. It got to a point where we just left because it was just too frustrating and getting too aggressive to have any fun. Apparently, the security people they hire are just people that want a way to see the concert for free AND get paid for it. They don’t actually want to do any work. Total waste of money on what I hear was a great concert. Would never go back here to see a concert.

Have attended several concerts here. Plenty of parking on all sides/approaches. Staff has always been well organized and courteous. Seating is comfortably spaced and pitched. Concessions are plentiful but of course the prices are always a little overwhelming. Nestled in the Westgate entertainment district there are an abundance of dining and drinking options both before and after any event.

Great place to watch a game, good sound system and big screen. As all hockey games a little on the chilly side. Uses electronic tickets, sort of miss the paper ones

We went to see the Arizona Rattlers play in the Arena Bowl. It is normally played at the Talking Stick Arena, but it was hosting a Mercury game.
The venue was nice, but the vendor prices are really high. Be prepared with a full wallet.

Outstanding sight lines for athletic events. I was there for hockey and the experience was perfection.

We were visiting Phoenix and decided to take in a Coyote's hockey game. We purchased our tickets on ticketmaster and then bought a parking ticket for the J lot for $15. We got there a few hours early so we could walk around the Westgate Entertainment Center which has a lot to offer before or after the game. We had center seats in the upper tier that was excellent because we could see everything so well. I would suggest dressing in layers as it is chilly in the arena. We were lucky that it was an exciting game; the Coyotes won 7-3! It was also so much fun to HOWL and watch the monitors for audience surprises. Getting in and out of the arena was a breeze. The only problem we had was both of our tickets did not show up in the app and we spend about 20 minutes at the box office where they had to look them up, however all the staff was helpful and friendly.

Gila River Arena was celebrating their 20th anniversary when we visited. For an older stadium, it was pretty nice. There were lots of food options, ranging from typical hot dogs and nachos stadium food, to a poutine place, and a beef brisket stand. The seats we had (nosebleed seats) had a good view as the seating was arranged in a rather steep angle. Note that the seats were quite narrow though. The one part of the stadium that clearly shows it's age is the scoreboard hanging in at middle ice. Based on the resolution it's clearly an antique.

We were in town for the weekend and had planned on attending a hockey game since our Golden Knights were playing. The facility is in a good location for visitors staying at nearby hotels and walking to the arena. Not super huge crowds either.
However, you get a big one star for the policy about no purses/handbags. I think it is sexist at its worst and I was shocked and disappointed that I could not bring my bag with such trivial incidentals such as my wallet with ID, hairbrush, cell phone, glasses, etc. Really? I do not have a problem with any venue/arena running my purse through a metal detector or looking inside, but to ban the purse policy to only a smallish wallet size. Only one one pocket if I had wanted to use it for placement of my personal items.
And that brings me to the outlandish policy about wearing a mask. Some employees wore a mask, most didn't and I only saw about 10 fans wearing one. Utterly the worst of the worst enforcement. Wake up Arizona, it's NOT over!
Music was way too annoying and loud. The venue is decent and seats were great!

We rented a box at Gila river arena and enjoyed the coyotes vs oilers game. Nice box with seating in and comfortable stadium seats below. We had a stocked fridge and entrance and exit was easy. Plenty of expensive food and drink options as par with other stadiums. The service was awesome and we enjoyed the game! Washrooms closeby and smoking patio on the level below. Nice place!

Bright, clean and friendly staff. What is there not to like.
So sad they can’t get a full house. and sad that other cities that would support this team so well are I. The outside looking in.

We had great seats ($100 USD) and enjoyed the game and atmosphere BUT were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the stands and seating area. Within Sec. 114, Row N -Seats 1-4, seats and seat backs had sticky spills on them as well as seats around them and the floor and metal joining sections were littered with popcorn and food bits before the game started. How often are the seats washed and floors cleaned? This area requires more than sweeping. Regardless of where you sit in the arena, this should not be happening. Thank you to the arena staff for giving this your attention.

Love it!! Place is clean and restroom are clean and parking is great! Make sure u get a parking pass. And make sure u bring a clear bag and not a big bag.

Nice indoor arena, great for concerts, food and bathrooms, clean, positive staff, good security, had a blast

I was here visiting my cousin and decided on going to see a hockey game, this arena is awsome, great location surrounded by multiple bars and restaurants with a great family atmosphere. The employees working
at the arena we’re friendly and they have a great system for allowing people into the game which was fast and efficient. There were many great food choices within the arena with a wide selection of beverages as well. This place is very well kept and I will definitely be back when visiting

Visited the Jobing.com Arena (now called Gila River Arena) again back in 2014 and saw 2 Coyotes hockey games. The first was against the San Jose Sharks, which the Yotes lost. However in the 2nd game against the Dallas Stars, they played much better and won that game. Couldn't really remember the scores as it was such a long time ago. Loved the warm-up music and also songs that played within the Arena.
Will definitely return again, the next time I'm in town!

We attended the Champions on Ice performance in Glendale that proved to be up close and personal of several world champion and Olympic winning ice skaters for a two hour show, Sitting in the first row, we could really see the 13 skaters perform their synchronized dance routines. I have a whole new appreciation for the art of ice dancing! The arena itself is very well designed and offers a relatively intimate setting. (Being in an ice rink on a 100 degree day is great!)

Great seats and easy access to concessions "bar" and restrooms. Cool and well ventilated. The whole complex is great for a fun night. Party at the restaurants and bars and then crash at the hotel.

we went for a company event, service was nice it was very clean people working in security were very nice as well, i like this area. food options weren't bad either

The arena itself was nice but the better part is the Westgate area just outside the doors of the arena. This place is full of life and has lots of bars and food options. Wish we would have known about this area before game day and we would have hung out here a couple more times. Highly recommend having a hang out in the Westgate area and watching a coyotes game.

We attend numerous events here during the year. 40 plus hockey games and other concerts and events. The area surrounding the arena has numerous restaurants and retailers in the Westgate area which are within walking distance to the arena. The service you receive is courteous and respectful and we are always able to find parking within steps of the building.

Great venue to watch a hockey game, or catch a concert. Most seats offer descent views, you need to choose your seat carefully on the second level during hockey games, or you will not be able to view one goal. Parking is easy, and food options before and after the game are numerous in the Westgate area.

Came in for the Kings/Coyotes game. Arena is beautiful, staff is friendly and attentive! Will be back next season no doubt! Food in the suite was excellent!

My brother and I visited the Gila River Center on Dec 16, 2017. The arena is nice, Traffic into the game was not bad at all. The arena is clean and modern. There were ample restrooms and vending locations. The prices seemed reasonable as well. We had seats in the Club Section about center ice and 20 or so seats up. We had a great view of the game, which was an exciting game which the Pens won!

Parking for the 330pm show on Dec 4th for Trans-Siberian Orchestra was the biggest cock-up I've ever seen for a venue. It took us 90 minutes to find parking, and we missed an hour of the show. There was no control or guidance for the traffic flow. The attendants were not adequately trained or told how to guide people once lots were full.

We've been to both Coyote games and concerts here. Views are pretty good from wherever your ticket lands you. The upper tier may be a little steep for some. A decent selection of food choices as well.

Absolutely love the Gila River Stadium. The fans are great! The staff are great and friendly and I would rather see my team play here than at home in Vegas. I am even coming back here to root for the Arizona Coyotes, that is when they are not playing my home team. I figured why not? It's not far from Vegas and the place is an excellent getaway for my husband and I. Right next door to the Renaissance Hotel where there too is one of the friendliest staffs I have ever seen! Looking forward to seeing our Host /Usher Denny again at the Gila River!

My wife and I recently spent a week in Phoenix, the main point being, 4 games at GRA. Two Coyote and two Roadrunner games.
The arena is located by the freeway and is easy to reach, its also right in the middle of the Westgate development which offers numerous food/drink and shopping options.
Inside the arena, there are soo many shops and food outlets too you wont be dissapointed.
Sightlines are fantastic from wheere ever you sit. We were upstairs in the 200's for the NHL games and in Block 109 for the Roadrunner games. In both locations we had amazing views of the ice!
Amazing arena and fantastic staff!

Music too loud. Had to leave. Everything blended together and ears ringing
For days.
The footprint center has the best sound
Never again

It was New Year's Eve and one of the things Canadians like to do is watch hockey, knowing this I purchased tickets in advance.
Winnipeg Jets were in town. The stands were half filled with Jets fans and Arizona fans. It was almost like a home game for the Jets. The atmosphere was great! The arena s designed well; the seats have a great view of the ice surface. Sound carries very well, you can tell when the puck hits the goal posts or cross bar.
There was even a Tim Horton's for Canadian fans! it felt just like home.
The Jets fans left disappointed.

Was here for a business event; two days 11 hours each day...and a third of the food vendors weren't open!!! If not at 9 AM, when was Dunkin going to open to sell coffee and doughnuts, for three hours of Saturday night hockey? UNBELIEVABLE! On a plus side, the venue staff was friendly, polite, and very helpful.

As a Vegas Golden Knights hockey fan I was excited that I could get seats by the glass for cheaper than the tickets in Vegas. It made the experience really awesome.
There seemed to be a lack of sufficient rest rooms, but the food choices seemed pretty good and the staffing was friendly.
I liked that there were a ton of places to eat and drink right outside the arena, too.

Great venue and the Coldplay concert was jaw dropping! Only downside were the very long, slow lines to get adult beverages and the even longer lines to get concert merchandise. 2 of our friends really wanted concert tees, but the lines were so long, they didn't bother.
Acoustics are great and it's a nice, intimate arena.

We always sit in the “Casino” seats and sit at the bar area to watch the game. Drinks are brought to you and the view is good

Watched the last Coyotes home game. A great arena for viewing hockey ( I've been to 22 other NHL rinks). All the staff were above average friendly. Outside the rink is an entertainment area which has many restaurants of all venues. Parking can be validated at restaurants in certain parking lots ( A little further 10 min walk from the rink). In the arena lots you can park until 3AM qhich allows you to enjoy after the game.
A great venue to go either before the game of after ( we ate after)
One thing...the arena was freezing ( more than the average stadium). Recommend bringing a light coat or sweater....not needed if you wear a jersey

Yes this is really a large venue. It was pretty good getting around. especially the parking. I expected a lot more congestion but it really went thru nicely. Only one point in minus of the arena and it is this. Please bring a blanket with you. It is extremely cold. It is Arizona and i expected a little more warmth.

This review isn't specific for the Gila Arena, which I've been to a few times for hockey, the arena is great. This is for anyone planning to buy food while they are at an event.
I went to the Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers location in the Gila Arena while I was at the Coyotes game and ordered the All American Burger as I was craving a cheeseburger. I am not from the USA but I visit about once or twice a year. One of the things I love about visiting America, is the American burger. And this was a monumental atrocity. Firstly I had to pay 15 AMERICAN dollars for it. The bread was dry, the patty was tasteless, the tomato was soggy and the lettuce was old. It was one of the most disappointing things I've put in my mouth and believe me, I've put a lot in it. In short, it was probably the worst burger I have ever had and that includes a burger in Thailand with questionable meat.
Because even a week after eating it and telling every one I could about how bad it was, I feel like I should warn others. However if you're looking to overpay for a terrible burger, then this place is for you.

Solid venue with cheap prices for tickets hockey is great there is not a bad seat in the place and m normally not a lot of people you can sit in the upper section and move lower on games there are no crowds happens a lot during the week this is actually encouraged
Sound is great for concerts too
Park for free by the movies and walk across the entertainment center

On December 26, 2016 we took my wife's family to the Gila River Arena to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We had pretty good seats in section AAA row 14. This was my 2nd time seeing TSO, but 1st time at Gila. The experience was very good. The staff and security was professional and friendly. We all enjoyed the experience. Job well done Gila River.

My first visit to this arena was to see Queen with Adam Lambert. The concert was great and the acoustics were good. The view of the stage was excellent. We then saw a couple of hockey games and enjoyed it so much that we bought Coyotes season tickets. They added some new food options so you aren’t limited to nachos and hot dogs. For the home opener, my wife had a poke bowl that was very good. The fish and veggies were fresh and the price reasonable for a sports event. I had a carnitas bowl and was satisfied with the taste and the portion size. The have a large selection of beers and wine. I will try most of them before the season is over.

Came to Scottsdale for a visit and the Calgary Flames were in town. There were a lot of AB and Sask fans in attendance and yet a lot of empty seats. The seats were very comfy and plenty of space for your beverages. Glad I went to the game. Parking next door was $20.

Had a great time at the Hockey Game. Parking was easy as I prebooked. Still lots of parking in the area at local restaurants and hotels.

Nice location close to eateries and major roadways. Uni Phoenix Stadium located near by. Shopping close also. Area is a nice venue, hockey crowd with good concessions. Views were good throughout.

We loved the arena and area it is in. We are from El Paso so it's not often that we can come for a concert and see a NHL game!

They had security streamlined for entering the Arena for a sold-out concert. Good assistance in helping us find out seats. There are numerous restaurants within the shopping center right next to Arena, but know that most, if not all only offer limited menus on Event nights and reservations are a good idea.
All seats seem to be good at the Arena, although am not positive that they don't change the location or layout of stage, based on the event. Bring your own water bottle - they charged $7.00 for a water bottle at the Hugh Jackman concert!

Went to a concert here recently and enjoyed the full experience.
Parking was reasonably priced and plentiful. There are a lot of places to eat right outside the venue so in the future we would skip the food inside because it’s not that great and expensive
Great employees, very friendly and helpful. Seats on the floor were comfortable and the sound system was fine, no complaints.

Attended a Coyote game with a friend and had a great time. Easy to get to, affordable parking that was close to the venue. Multiple options for dinner before just outside the building. Friendly staff helped us to our seats. Fun night, glad I went.

We were there for a Canadiens/Coyotes hockey game. I am sure my Canadien fans outnumbered the Coyote fans. Loved the Tim Hortons kiosk. Wish Howler did not pound his drum just behind us we watched the game. I thought we had been shot at.

Couldn't find our seats, and ushers weren't very helpful. However, once we found our seats, the ushers (3 different ones) asked to see our tickets THREE times! Appreciate security, but went a little overboard on this. I guess you don't like people that wear apparel of other teams.

I’ve been attending events at GRA for many years, primarily hockey games, concerts and occasionally other events. During the past week January 2-January 6, I’ve attended 3 hockey games and since the start of hockey season this year I have more than noticed the exceptional customer service attitude. Whether it’s greeters, security, food and beverage or ushers they have all stepped up another notch. You make a paying guest feel valued.

My wife and I came here to see Brad Paisley in concert. We had a fabulous time! The Arena is large enough to accommodate big-named stars, yet still feels homey enough for all to have the sensation that they are a part of the show.

We watched a Arizona Coyote hockey game here and they put on a good show at a good price. The food and beer is very expensive but thats normal. Nice building and a good show.

Saw the 3pm show of the trans siberian orchestra. Was awesome Great show and lights and songs perfect

It is very easy to access this venue from any part of town. There is plenty of parking and you can enjoy a meal or beverage at any of the dining venues that are next door to the arena. The arena itself is clean and its a great location to watch a sporting event or a concert.

I have been to the Gila River stadium a couple of times - once for a hockey game and most recently the Tears for Fears concert. The venue is definitely conducive for playing (and watching) hockey games as well as holding concerts. The seats we had for the TFF concert were in Section 113, first row, which is on the right side of the arena when you're facing the stadium. From our seats, we could still clearly see the stage and the band. There also were two large screens on either side of the stage so those seated relatively distant would be able to see stage closeups. The acoustics were very good - I could hear the music and words very clearly. The arena helps in creating an atmosphere that gets people to truly enjoy concerts.
As for hockey games, I usually have been to stadiums where there is not necessarily a bad seat in the house and Gila River is no exception.
There is also a good number of choices of food and drink vendors, from pretzels and beer, to hotdogs and alcohol, you are likely to find everything you usually find at football or baseball stadiums.
The location of the arena is very strategic, with a lot of great parking (indoor and outdoor, some of which are free), retail shops, and restaurants, making it very conducive to spending almost the whole day before attending the concert or game. Its no wonder that very popular acts are booked in this venue!

This arena is in a great entertainment area. The staff were all very polite. Food in arena was ok. Toilets in ladies bathrooms dont flush very well

The Inner Squad training camp game held in the Gila River Arena was exciting and entertaining. We always enjoy events held at the Gila River Arena, which is spacious, clean and has great food. We find that parking is easier if you go a little bit early. The Gila River Arena is surrounded by a variety of restaurants that offer a wide selection of meals, and entertainment before entering the Gila River Arena.

What a place! Great seats and a fantastic game between the Sharks and Coyotes. Easy to get out off and very quick.

We had a great time at Gila River Arena! We love to watch the Coyotes and enjoy the food especially Tim Hortons hot chocolate! My husband likes to have a beer! It is a great experience and highly recommend it!

Bought VIP tickets to concert. We were lined up in an uncovered area at 9am on the East side of the arena to receive our wristbands. We were not allowed to bring umbrellas into this area. The temperature was in the 90s. There was free water in this area however anytime someone would leave the line to get water they were yelled at by the security guards “stay in line” “do not leave your spot”. We stayed in this area until 1pm when the wristbands were finally handed out. I have a second degree sunburn on my shoulders & arms and yes I was wearing sport sunscreen. We were dehydrated and exhausted from standing in the sun for 4 hours. No one should be treated like this - no reason.

I love going to hockey games at the arena. The seats are fine and the concourse is wide enough to handle a large number of people. The food is great but expensive. Parking is expensive, but not too bad. It is nice to be near the Westgate Entertainment complex.

Easy access to arena from all directions. Can spend time in the area before the game... eating, drinking, and shopping nearby. Parking paid for by restaurants if eating before the event. Wear a heavy shirt though......arena was very cold! Good views throughout the arena!

I've attended many hockey games here and have always found the arena to be clean, easy to get around inside, and the staff helpful. It's located next to a large entertainment district, so there are many choices for food in the area. The concession selection is on the poor side, so I would definitely recommend eating before you get to the game. Ample parking and easy access off the 101 are also nice qualities

Visiting the arena for the first time was exciting. The seats of the arena are comfortable with nice legroom. The sound system was outrageously wonderful, plus the graphics added so much to the excitement of the game. I Highly recommend.

This arena is way out there but we enjoy going to games when we are in Arizona.
The mall and restaurants around there are nice to do before a game

We took our kids here to watch two hockey games as part of our winter getaway. Brittany at the customer service was great to deal with! Our tickets were good seating and were well priced. If this is your kids first NHL game you can report to the customer service desk and they will give them a "first game certificate" The whole atomosphere around the rink with all the restaurants and bars was great.

Attended a concert at Gila River recently. When choosing seating on-line, it was unclear how steep the levels were. We would have chosen something closer to a walkway had we known the upper level seating isn’t user friendly for people with mobility issues. Also, the acoustics weren’t great at the upper levels. Often times we could not understand the words to the music.
The venue itself is reasonably clean. The entrance process was efficient & finding help to locate seats was not a problem.
The venue itself is conveniently located next to the Renaissance Hotel and is also within blocks of restaurants & retail shopping.
We’d visit this venue again, but would utilize mid-level or lower level seating due to the acoustics & would also choose accessible seats close to a walkway.

Who knew it was going to be 95 degrees in the middle of March?? The cool air of the hockey arena was a welcome blast of cool air. And the hockey game was pretty good too. The Coyotes beat the Avalanche and we had a great time. The arena is really nice and situated in a shopping district with some free parking and lots of paid parking. We paid $15. I liked the area in Glendale that it is located. Everyone thinks they have to put a pro team downtown and stuff it into the smallest hardest to access area in the city. Take a drive, enjoy the scenery and take in a game. There are hotels and eateries aplenty nearby. Not to mention the football arena for the Arizona Cardinals is right across the street.

Casino is to much fun i love all the different games and the way the parking is so easy to get to the staff is friendly and the whole vibe is amazing

Fun place to watch a game. Lots of hippe and great places to eat. Very cold inside, I usually just wear a t-shirt to games but glad I brought jacket to this arena. Apparently they have to keep inside temp at 59 degrees to keep ice in good shape.

Awesome sports complex with lots of food and drink choices. There is also a movie theater. Beautiful fountain. Good places to hang out before and after games.

A great arena to watch an NHL game. Too bad it was only half full. I know it's the home team but the relentless coyote howl was a bit much. Beer are really expensive too.

Decent choice of restaurant and food and drink choices. Overpriced as far as all the add-ons to the ticket price. Seats are the typically uncomfortable ones. But overall it’s just as good as any other arena.

It's great to have an arena in the West Gate area. Lots of hotels, shop and eateries in West Gate. Staff is excellent and the arena itself is excellent.

The arena is a great place to see a good concert, as well as the hockey games. Not a bad seat in the place for a concert really. Okay, well maybe on the ends by the stage, but that's it. They had a great sound system in place for the Soul 2 Soul concert.

Great views from every seat in the Stadium, Glendale couldn't keep the Coyotes there which is a shame. The Goldwater institute had no problem shoving $450M to the losers at the Diamondback Stadium but $150M to the Coyotes wasn't in the stars. Typical Arizona wanna be Conservatives, double standard for everything.

Complaints about where this arena is problem is it's right across the street from the Cardinals football stadium. While I understand the Cardinals play most of their games on Sunday getting to this Arena during the week is a bit difficult you just have to plan for it. Once at the arena you will find the employees there to be very friendly and helpful in the arena is immaculately clean.

Was my first pro game, huge hockey fan... watched the Coyotes lay smack down on the Knights.... was a great game and really nice arena. If I’m back will go to another game for sure.

Attended a professional hockey game. Sound and video were dazzling. Food and drink lines a little sliw but the gift shop had something for ecery budget. Modern and family friendly.

I can't speak for any other events except for the hockey game I went to but it was COLD!! I have been to 15 other arenas for NHL hockey game and can't remember one being that cold. It was okay. Been to better arenas for games. So if you are heading here for a game make sure you have a sweater.

Great venue with friendly staff. Have been here for various concerts and sporting events and never had a bad seat. Being right by Westgate and Tanger Outlets makes it convenient to grab a bite before a event or shop afterwards to let traffic die down.

A good hockey game for the locals & Coyote fans, but rather a boring game as Toronto did not show up! The actual facility looks impressive from the outside & when you first come into the arena but be cautious. The facility lacks proper washroom facilities, so standing in lineups for over 10 minutes is not uncommon. Has too many food stations, put in more washrooms! Most people eat before game time in the Entertainment District where the food is cheaper & better quality. The facility lacks proper escalators, especially when exiting after the game. Would be concerned if there ever was an emergency & you had to vacate quickly as there is not enough exits. The actual seats provided a good view of the game but there was a very cold air blowing on your back, was actually colder than being in the far northern reaches of Canadian rinks. The actual temperature outside was a chilly low 50's falling into the low 40's, so the air did not need to be that cold for the ice conditions. Surprised that with all the Canadians & Northerners in the area & with the local fans if there is many, that the game was not a sell out? Prices are reasonable for the game compared to other cities & there is lots to select from. They charge an extra $5.00 to actually pick up your tickets rather than having them mailed if you have enough time or sent to your phone? Why?

I attended my first NHL game and my experience was exceptional. The game itself was exciting, but the arena is definitely first class. Seating was comfortable and ease of moving around was quite easy. Lighting effects were bold and sound was exceptional. While for some the sound level might be 'annoying', it is what is to be expected at any sporting event; be it college or professional.
I found free parking at the AMC Theatre parking lot. This was according to signs posted in the pay areas. It was 100% legal, easy and close.

Visited the Gila River Arena (then Jobing.com Arena) for the 2nd time back in 2012 for a playoff game between the then Phoenix Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks! The atmosphere and energy was so intense! You could just feel it everywhere! Though the Blackhawks won, I still enjoyed the experience of a playoff game here. Chicago went on and lost the series anyway! Ha ha!
The fans were very entertaining and passionate. Will definitely comeback to support the Coyotes in the future...hope they do make it to the playoffs again soon!

This was my first time actually inside the Gila River Arena. I was here to cover a boxing event for a news media outlet and as far as a venue, it gets a good score for me. I look at the big picture, parking, accessibility and seating. Parking was a breeze, the arena is located within Westgate and whenever I go to Westgate, I park on the east side of the complex, it's on this side you will find easy parking. The arena itself is home to the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Club, but they have other events like concerts and such. I was seated with the media on the floor, but I did ask a few spectators what they thought and they all said they were pleased and had a good view of the ring and the action at hand. I did go up to the main level for a peek and confirm the view down below was good.

I have been to a few NHL games in Ottawa and Toronto. This rink was spectacular. It was easy to get to, free parking and absolutely spectacular inside and out. Wow. What a place. We were in the 230 section and had great seats. The rink was not very full. Arizona fans love their Coyotes! Lots of families and lots of fun entertainment. They even had Tim Horton's on the 2nd level. I was very happy to see them.
Bring a sweater as they keep the arena very cool. We wore shorts and t-shirts and were glad we brought sweaters. I had heard some people at the resort were we are staying, talking about the game and that it is cold inside. I kind of smirked thinking it can't be that cold. We Canadians don't find it cold. Well. Haha. It is cold. Bring a sweater. It is the coolest NHL rink I have ever been in, but it is also the first rink that I have attended in shorts and T-shirts. Great place to see your favourite NHL team.

Enjoyed a Coyotes hockey game here. Bought seats at the box office the night of the game and sat in the 200's. Great view for $40.00. Only problem was that they ran out of hot dogs and pizza by the start of the second period. Guessing they miscalculated just how many 'Canucks' would show up to see the Oilers beat the Coyotes.

This is one of the great new locations to watch a hockey in USA. We enjoyed the food, beer since we sat in a corporate suite. I am thinking this is a nice arena for concert or stage venues if the University Phoenix is too big for. Too bad the City of Glendale has been messing with the team so much they might move & be going go to a new arena somewhere in Canada or USA. Westgate still needs the arena along with the stadium to survive & grow!

This is a very nice arena for a Hockey game in the Phoenix area. Make to sure to bring a jacket or hoodie, it gets cold inside during a hockey game. Great views from every seat in the arena, short lines for restrooms, food and beer.

Excellent event center. Took Uber from hotel to arena. No problems encountered. Would certainly go again but have to spend night up there it is too far from home.

I had a fantastic experience today with the absolute nicest most friendly ticket booth attendant in history at the Gila River Arena. He helped me turn a mobile ticket which was having trouble being pulled up online, to a hard paper ticket. This guy deserves a huge raise. One of the best customer service experiences in my life. Thank you sir. I am sorry I didn't get a name. You are the best in your field hands down.

A great place to watch hockey, not a bad seat anywhere. Tickets are reasonable for most games (except when the big names come into town).

The arena is great, easy to get around and the food is excellent and several new items to chose from. The new jumbo Tran screen makes seeing the games very easy and the staff is super friendly. Really enjoy the hockey games and have been a season ticketholder for several years

This venue is really nice. Parking is easy and employees are friendly and helpful. We had VIP seats and elected to try the buffet. Unfortunately the food was not good at all especially for the price. Next time I will get a hotdog downstairs. Full bar upstairs is nice! I will defiantly be attending more events here!

The arena is beautiful and still looks new (not a lot of use). We saw them play St Louis and both teams didn't seem to want to be there. Staff try the best but there was no atmosphere at this game. After 6 years straight of going to see the Coyotes we have taken it off the agenda for our weekend get away.

This is a great hockey venue. You are close to the action almost everywhere. I would avoid upper level end seats as they have a lot more rows than the sides.
I had the pleasure of attending 2 hockey games during my stay in the Phoenix area. Although the Coyotes lost both games, the atmosphere was excellent. It is also an easy arena to get into and out again at the end of the game. And lots of other forms of entertainment in the area. Nice time.
