Yes, it’s a kids location. Not geared towards adults in any way. However an adult who likes kids themed entertainment may enjoy it.
It’s clean, lots of life sized fiberglass sculptures of moderate airbrushed craftsmanship. It’s well maintained and very friendly. Be sure and catch the tour show in the back of the park. Dog friendly.

A bit in the middle of nowhere. If you are enroute to Tampa and want a distraction for the kiddos, this is a reasonable stop.

No great restaurants nearby and no food on premises. They do mention you can get pizza delivered. I didn’t risk that.

We spent the day there. Left for a bit to get lunch and came back to finish. The activities including live shows and gem excavation were the highlights for my kids.

Good for one visit, if you are in vicinity.

Bring water bottles, there is a water fountain in the gift shop.
Soda vending machines sprinkled around only take $1 bills and 20 oz soda bottle is $3!!

I had passed this place for years and my wife and I decided it would make a fun weekend trip for our 4 year old Grandson, he had a blast! Lots of Dinosaurs, Presentations, a Fossil Dig, Cave tour, animatron Dinosaurs. He was go go go from the time we got there until we left. Great way to spend the Day and very affordable. we spent about 3 to 4 Hours.

In Florida you can go to the Disney Parc’s or crocodile watching, but you also can do as a alternative Dinosaur World.
Lots of parking space and easy access.
When using the coupon, from tourist magazine or download from the site you get 2 dollars of per person.
The showed dinosaurs look real and with the trees around it’s if you are in the film set of Jurassic world.

For kids they have an show where kids can haunt for fossils and they are allowed to keep some.
Than there is an interactive show with real paleontologist who tells about t-Rex founding in the US.

The play area is fun for kids to lose some energy. At the end they have an minerals search river you pay 6 dollar extra and you can take all the minerals you find back home.

The drive from Orlando is 52min but more than worth.

We should have listed to some of the reviews. Pretty expensive for what it is. The kids did enjoy the mining portion, and walking through it--but not really a lot to see. The gift store has a mostly things you can buy at Wal Mart. It is clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

My nephew, his wife and kids were down in March and we all went to Dinosaur World. The kids loved it and were so excited to see all the exhibits and to dig in the sand like an archeologist! They also mined for gems which they loved! A nice little place to spend the day.

I don't usually expect to find interesting roadside attractions just of the interstate, but this was an exception. Was travelling with 3 children under 10, and planned on spending a couple of hours, ended up spending over 5. The park is pretty low key, with lots of trails for walking, the dinosaur models realistic enough, and placement in the landscape is well done. There were a number of activies for the children to become involved in during the day, a large playground, and ample covered picnic areas. No food is served, but we were able to bring in a picnic and enjoy the weather while the children played on the playground. I seemed that a local pizza place had steady business making deliveries as well. Having driven by the place and seen the signs for years, I was glad I stopped, and had an enjoyable day out with family.

If you have a child that loves dinosaurs this might be an okay place to kill a few hours. It’s literally a lot of dinosaur statutes with informational plaques and a show or two. I thought it was overpriced, but I’m also not obsessed with dinosaurs. I also thought it was from the 1960s, but it was actually built in the late 90s, which makes the place less kitschy. Meh.

By Donna W |

The kids will love this place and it isn't very expensive. They have some great exhibits and also gem mining for the kids. There is a bone dig and a playground for them to burn off all that energy. There is an area that may be a little too realistic for the tiny ones but the older kids will enjoy the whole park.

As a resident of Florida for a lot of years, I've lost track of the times we passed this place on the interstate and laughed about it being a silly tourist trap. More recently, we talked about how we would go if our kids ever decide we need grandchildren (no rush, apparently). Then, we just did it one Saturday. It's like a giant outdoor dinosaur museum. The dinos do look a little bit manufactured, because, well, they are. But you get a great flavor for their size and appearance, how they lived, who was mean and who ate plants, etc. It was definitely worth a one time trip at any age and more frequently with children.

By Judith L |

We arrived and passed through the store to get our tickets. Upon exiting the ticket and store area, to the right are the restrooms and the museum. The museum is a filled with real fossils and there is a section with four or five robotic dinosaurs that move their heads and some move their feet. We walked all the paths to see all the different dinosaurs. The paths are enveloped with tall trees and large foliage to keep the sun off the paths, which we really appreciated on a hot and humid Florida day. They had an area where some docents did a little game, and also a cave where kids learned about the different types of dinosaurs. There was even a pit filled with sand and brushes in a bucket for kids to explore and find a dinosaur skeleton. The area is immaculately clean, no trash anywhere. The foliage makes you feel like you are back in the dinosaur age. There is a large play area for kids ages 5-12 and an area for younger ones, so that helped make the day fun. One thing to note, there is no food sold on the premises, so you will need to bring a picnic, or go early and eat lunch at the next exit, which is what we did and then came back. We found only two coin operated drink machines. Discounts for seniors.

By Molly G |

It's all pretty shaded with easy paths for a stroller. Life size replicas of dozens of dinosaurs! This place would have been heaven if I were 10 years old.

By Maryna G |

You can't miss this place. Not only there are signs for the exit there are also huge dinosaurs standing along the road. You go in and leave through the store so if you are with kids be ready for that. When we were there it was super hot you will need lots of water for those days. There are lots of real size dinos there and some instalations are a little silly. Some are really nicely made some are not so much. The museum has some real bones and claws which is pretty cool.... Overall it's a fun, strange place.... Great for kids...

We brought our 5 and almost 2 year old and they had so much fun! We were so impressed with how well kept the grounds are and how beautiful the plants and boardwalks are! They do a great job with the upkeep. Kids loved all the life size dinosaurs and the amazing playground area! Also has a great gift shop. Definitely recommend this place to all families with little dino lovers!

By DJ102298 |

We drove up while in Venice and my 5 year old son was over the moon happy!! The large size dinosaurs and the plaques with facts are awesome. The Gem Mining was fun I suggest getting that as part of visit. They are very friendly with the gems. The paleontologist/cave was a cut informative activity. And of course the gift shop .....

By RJ K |

It sucked,I would never take my son there again, nothing like it's advertised as .I don't want to say anything else

By daddyxl |

So first day of 2019 and decided to take my wife here. We have never been and I have been by it for 30+ years! It was fun and educational! We spent a couple hours looking around...if we had our grandson it would have been better.

By Slee547 |

Great park for young kids! All of the dinosaurs have been recently painted. The walking trails are mostly shaded which was nice! We will definitely come back again.

By erinm512017 |

Nice little park with a playground, a show, exhibits, gem mine, fossil dig and trails to walk. The staff is excellent and the gift shop is absolutely huge for a park of this size. Not everything is open due to covid-19 but they have lowered their price to make up for it and it’s still a nice few hours spent outside.

By shadowasher123 |

Perfect day trip for our 2 and 4 year olds, their parents, and a senior. Lots of space to run and explore, and plenty of huge dinasaurs with descriptions. Kids love the interactive spaces and we loved that there were no rides or gimmicks!! Playgrounds were great to start and end our day. Very well laid out.

By Shaun B |

A pretty cool.place for families and children. A nice sized playground for kids of all ages. We did the fossil dig which was fun, but our little one was more interested in playing with the sand.

The museum is neat and there are loads of dinos to see and learn about.

The gift shop has just about everything and you're more than welcome to bring a lunch and cooler with drinks nnkn kas to have some lunch. Picnic tables help with that.

By Ian B |

While not cheap, we found Dinosaur World to be surprisingly entertaining and educational if you take the time to go to the shows and to walk around looking at the museum and displays. Yes, the dinosaur statues are cheesy and could probably do with some updating, but the information given was interesting. The paleontologist shows were great for the kids and they contained some good information. Our kids (9 and 13) even enjoyed sifting for fossils. You do need to do everything to justify the price and overall the attraction is geared toward kids under 12. Was an enjoyable day and beyond what we expected for a roadside attaction.

By garyDallas_Tx |

I wasn't too sure what this attraction would be like but I was very impressed. The park is small and just right for young kids. Lots and lots for them to do. A great way to spend a few hours. The Gem Dig was the highlight of the day.

By Brad B |

I wasn't impressed. For the price of admission you'd think they'd offer more. There are no animatronics., All dinosaurs are plaster. I have to say it looks neat to have dinosaurs tucked into the woods. Nice walking trails and very clean but left (multiple times) feeling ripped off.

By Otonabee |

3 adults and 3 kids. Visited on a cooler day. Access after exit off of I4 was not easy, I didn't see a sign, just assumed the road to turn on. The displays are nice. Clean. Parking is good. Buildings are good. Playground was nice. Digging for fossils. Walk through the forest. Several shows, they were entertaining for the kids audience. Had issue with entrance fee, I was the only one who qualified as Florida resident, had tax bill, but others needed photo id which was left at home. Great discount for Florida resident 50%, disappointed couldn't use it more.

By BillyG |

Great day with great exhibits. My Dino loving 4year old loved it. Even our normal grumpy 12 yr old wants to go back and visit again.

By USABelgie |

We have two kids of 4 and almost 7 and both loved the place. The park is very clean and the landscaping is well done. In fact I wish there be more plants and trees signage. The dinosaurs are well made and each one is good explained. Mike did an excellent job in the exploration cave and made the stones and fossils real for our kids.

It's a great park, very much worth a visit if your kids are into dinosaurs

By AJ F |

Not really near or in the middle of anything. Which means it's usually not overly crowded. Lots of room to let the little ones loose a bit. Nice quiet time spent with the family.

By mnolmsted |

It was a nice walk through the park with the dogs. More fun if we had a kid with us. Our grandson would have liked the tour.

By Robin L |

Our T-Rex loving 2.5 year old loved Dinosaur World! It was enough to keep her attention and the playground was very nice at the end of the walk. We stayed about an hour which was enough time to check everything out.

By Candida H |

This was self paced and very informative! Very reasonably priced and it looked very much as one would imagine the 'age' to have been. Fossil and gem finding opportunities were available. There was seating, shade, misters, bathrooms and vending easily available. The shopping area is full of cool things and great selection of shirts and hats. The dinosaur and animals of the age told a story and made each one memorable and amazing.

By Angelo |

I find this to be a bit overpriced for what it is. Pleasant to walkthrough. Plenty of shade trees and such. Just a bit high in price.

By Shelley B |

We visited here after seeing the cheesy looking dinosaur on the interstate on a previous trip. My boyfriend and I expected a cheesy, jokey kind of place, we couldn't have been more wrong. Don't fooled by that t-Rex, this place is actual done very well. The grounds are well kept, and the models are actually pretty cool and placed amongst the vegetation, so kind of fun spotting them. We did the 'cave tour' and actually learnt a thing or too! And the small museum has lots of fossils and some animatronic models. No cafe on site, so take some food. Little children would have a ball here!

By Okie_Snowbird |

Yes it's a bit cheesy, but we all enjoyed the big dino statues. It was a pleasant walk around the grounds learning more about dinosaurs. For our little one, it was Dinosaur Train in person. Don't miss the anomatronic dinosaurs in the indoor museum. They had a nice gift shop with very reasonable prices.

By Nancy C |

We're both in our mid-60s but decided to go to this "kiddie" attraction to experience some Florida kitsch. We were very pleasantly surprised to meet and talk with some paleontologists, uncover "bones" with brushes in a huge sand pit called the Boneyard, dig for fossils (we found shark teeth, ammonites and stingray teeth) and "mine" for gemstones in a sluice. The fossil dig comes with the price of admission for kids 3-12--for everyone else, it was $2. The mining experience costs between $8-40, depending on the amount and value of gemstones you might find in your bag of dirt. There is also a quite well done museum with interesting artifacts and some animatronic dinosaurs (don't expect much...). For food they have only vending machines, but they offered us a menu from a nearby pizza/sandwich place that delivers to the park. We took a break from our exploring to enjoy our delivered lunch at one of the many picnic tables. For us, it was fun experiencing an attraction we've driven by many times. For those with kids, it's affordable and has enough variety in activities to keep the under 10 set happy for hours.

I took my kids (all under the age of 5) to the Dinosaur World and they had a great time. I went during the week and we got there early. The shows had different times available allowing you to walk through the whole place without a problem. We took tons of pics and the kids enjoyed all the educational information. It wasn't too packed when we got there but since it was a school day, there were a lot of kids arriving in buses during the day. Good family place and fairly cheap.

By Ashten B |

Kinda disappointed everything looked very unrealistic and they only had 3-4 dinos that moved there heads and made noise. It was pretty expensive for the experience we spent an hour or so there definitely wouldn’t come back. If it was like 10 bucks a person then maybe but 70$ for two adults and one child definitely not worth it.

By huntsaway |

I was born and raised in Tampa and subsequently passed Dinosaur World on I4 hundreds of times thinking it was a silly interstate trap. Fast forward to now with my dinosaur loving almost 3-year old and I could not have been more wrong! It was clean, well kept, shaded and filled with great hands on things to do for children to do and see. It was incredible watching my son see the big dinosaurs! We do not live local anymore but would definitely go back. It is great for him to run around with very little trouble for him to get into. It was very hot as we went in August, but luckily it was a cloudy day and the trails had lots of tree coverage, but I would recommend going when it was cooler. We only spent a couple hours and while we didn't do everything we were satisfied especially considering how hot it was. If you want to stay all day definitely bring a cooler with lunch and cold drinks as there is a lot of great picnic areas.

By sandra s |

This park has really expanded over the years. Brought my grandkids now my great grandson loves to go there. He knows a lot of the names and he is 3 1/2 years old. I can't say them but he can. You can picnic on the grounds, great gift shop. He was impressed with the baby dino the staff had in gift shop. Excellent Value you can spend the day with the new playground area. A lot to do for the money.

By elleshocking |

I love dinosaurs, and my fiancé and I went there this October as I've heard all about it! Wasn't disappointed, it's around $16 for adults and we were there a good few hours. It's bigger than you think, full of model dinosaur with explanation plaques for every one. There is a small museum full of fossils and some animatronic dinosaurs. There is a playground and a fossil dig for children which looked very good, also a gem pit and geode fracker which cost extra if you want.

They do have staff wandering around to answer questions. We did a tour of the cave, and the guys there were knowledgeable and great at engaging the children in our guided tour party. If dinosaurs aren't your thing, the scenery is beautiful and the plants have their own info boards.

There isn't any food on site aside from a vending machine and chocolate in the shop, but you can get food metres away on the highway and I've been told a pizza place does deliver to the park. Loads of seating and you can bring your own food unlike the theme parks I've been to in Orlando.

I loved it, good for some retro fun!

By ashman |

Visited dinosaur world with my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son. They really had fun, particularly the fossil dig and sifting for gem stones. The park is very well maintained. It’s defiantly geared to small kids. Overall a great time.

By LiLi2squared |

It was a nice visit.. Something different. We took lots of pictures with and of the Dino's watched an archeology talk and walked all over the park. It was a good place to walk, have a picnic and a great place for kids to learn about Dino's.

By JimDeBerry |

Dinosaur Wold is reasonably priced and in between Tampa and Orlando.

lots to do in the Park. See many Dinosaurs, pan and have fun.

By Engin S |

We visited Dinosaur world today with our 9 year old and 18 month old...both had fun...no rides here but dinosaurs on display and a good old walk...place was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful

By Nancy U |

While driving back from Tampa we always past this place. Finally I just had to stop. I was with my teenage daughter and at first said she was too old for this place but as we walked around she really enjoyed herself. I know she was as she was taking pictures of the dinosaurs with her phone too. It was a beautiful day and the attraction is very well maintained and has nice paths to walk along. We were only going to stay an hour but was there for two hours. There is plenty of tables for a picnic lunch but we went to The Hut which was great too. A nice afternoon in Plant City.

By JackieNPaul |

If you like dinosaurs or have kids who do, you'll at least like this place enough to feel you didn't waste your time. There is a lot to see around the path and activities to do. Plus some shopping if you like that. This would probably be a cool place to have a birthday party.

By Roz M |

Visited this park with family including a two year old and while it was interesting to see the variety of types of Dino's the actual exhibits were a little underwhelming. It was a good walking experience however you need to take water with you and snacks for young children as there is no place to purchase along the route. Would it go back, no one was enough.

By vickey b |

We loved what was available to see but some attractions weren't available due to hurricane Irma damage but still enjoyable especially for my 3.5 year old son who loves dinosaurs of all kinds he really loved the fossil dig and finding a shark tooth and sea enchant bone fragments. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to share the prehistoric life.

By Mary G |

great place for my dad (age 75) to take my son (age 4). My hubby thought it was cheesy because the dinosaurs look like they are made of paper mache and nothing was "exciting" to him but he still enjoyed the day. Both my dad and my son loved it! The park really brought out the inner kid in my dad and my son thought all of the dinosaurs were so cool and it wasn't scary to him like other dinosaur exhibits were the figures come ti life and growl. My son liked the fossil dig. Went during peak time of spring break and it wasn't overly crowded.

By douggie85 . |

We did this spur of the moment. My wife and I went with our 2 1/2 yoa and 8 month old. Our oldest loves dinosaurs and seeing her face when we arrived made it worth it. The park had a lot of life size models which is pretty impressive to see the real size of these creatures. I would pass on the fossil dig but the gem wash was cool. It was not crowded and clean. Staff very friendly. The place is fun and informative. You can bring your own lunch so that is a plus. There is also a playground for kids to play on. I would recommend this place for dinosaur fans. Bring bug spray and sunblock.

By Mark L |

Having driven pass this on the I4 a couple of times, finally decided to take trip to visit the park. With two boys aged 2 and 5 they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves, just be aware of how hot it gets in the sun and you have drinks

By Ritesh Patel |

the park is awesome for children but entree fee is little high, $16 is not worth for that park. apart from that very good for children.

By Kate D |

Dinosaur World was awesome! The grounds were very clean and it felt much more like a walk through the woods or 'botanical garden' than just a themed park. Lots of shade and it was so neat to see the near life-size recreation of dinosaurs in their 'habitat'. This is an outdoor experience in Florida, so sure, it got a little warm, however, just another part of the experience considering the temperature in the Cretaceous! I was also very impressed with how well-done the "Paleontologist" visit was--the performances were engaging while still informational--some really great science communication at work. Not all the statues were 'anatomically correct', but it made this park feel a historic too, harkening back to its inception and dinosaur-loving sculptor owner.

By joannehill07 |

I bought a $50 toy and brought it back due to pieces being glued in the wrong place . the second toy i picked had the same problem, when i went back to the shelf to look at different toys you can see them glued back together not in original packaging or falling apart . 95% of toys on shelf are broken and over priced; excluding the stuffed animals . i waited in line for an employee to call me to their register but they were talking and giggling instead .

By kimsoapa |

Had a great time with the kids here this weekend while visiting friends! Just enough activities for to tire them out for the day and not to expensive!

By HJBTravels |

My husband and I took our 3 year old to Dinosaur World for a trip during summer vacation. He is obsessed with everything dinosaur so this park was absolutely perfect! It was clean and spacious and had nice attractions. We seen some pretty neat things, gained some education about dinosaurs, and did a fossil dig. There is a gift store, picnic bench areas for breaks and lunch, and vending machines. Only downside was there was no place to order food at the park but we did bring snacks and there were restaurants close by.
Overall a great trip and good for younger ones.

By Lmg2004 |

I just had my sons 4th birthday party and it was amazing. The park was clean and staff was amazing. Thanks to Mrs Jan who helped me during the birthday party booking process as well as Sabrina who was extremely helpful on Saturday to make some last minute changes. The whole staff were so accommodating. My son had a blast and so did our party guests. This is a true hidden gem in Plant City.

By Pabon F |

Good for small kids, nice and safe fun place! a little pricey but fun to enjoy... would recommend!!!

By skyvoid |

We didn't expect much based on the somewhat cheesy T-Rex you can see from the highway, but we were more than pleasantly surprised by this attraction. The grounds are very pretty, there are TONS of different kinds of dinosaurs on display, and everything is very well cared for. In addition, there is fossil digging and gem mining for the kids. Our four-year-olds loved every second of it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the museum is small, but nice, and the gift shop is extensive. Tickets for our entire family of four were less than a single ticket to Disney, and we could have spent nearly as much time here. Of the many non-Disney attractions we have gone to in the Orlando area, this is one of the only ones we would likely return to.

By Jacana |

We have driven by this attraction between Orlando and Tampa for years and I always thought it was probably a little on the hokey side....so I was very pleasantly surprised at how well done and nice it was. We have two grandsons ages 3 and 6 who are very into dinosaurs an thought they might enjoy it so off we went. We bought our tickets online at ReserveOrlando which gave us a discount of a few dollars on each ticket. We noticed that the lady in front of us had some type of coupon in a brochure but i'm not sure where she got it. Being from Orlando, we usually don't frequent the tourist areas and don't come across the tourist brochures very often. The park itself is really pretty with very tropical "Jurassic Park" type of foliage. The dinosaurs themselves were very nice placed well amid the trees and plants. There were signs in front of all of the dinosaurs indicating their names and information about them. The paleontologist was really good and the talk wasn't too long do the kids didn't get bored. They loved searching for fossils and were allowed to keep three of their finds and also were able to keep the gems they found when gem mining. We had a little picnic at the picnic tables and the kids enjoyed the nearby playground. The only downside was that it was about 98 degrees out and about 100% humidity which was probably why there weren't too many people there. The grounds were well kept as were the restrooms and the gift shop had a nice but reasonably priced selection......it's a must for your little dinosaur lovers!!

By car24jg |

This is a place we should have gone to in the fall. July in Florida is way too miserable to walk around in a wooded area in our humidity. After heavy rain the day before you can see the water in the air. That aside the kids loved it. The employees are pleasant and the place is reasonably maintained. The prices at the gate are OK, but there are coupons available. There are also web sites that sell admission for a discount. Plan on a couple of hours at a minimum.

By Sweetdreams37 |

Cute park you can finish in three hours or you can stay longer if you do the kid activities and playground. Bring you cooler with lunch ,find a table walk around and enjoy most of the path is shaded. The have a small museum up by the gift shop with ac and some moving 🦖🦕 dinosaurs
Nice gift shop to buy your gifts, also you pay for your tickets there or show your online tickets they have wrist bands so you can go to your car and come back on that same day. Lots of camera opportunities too.

By Alicia C |

We recently visited with our 2 small children ages 4 and 8 and we loved got lots of good pictures with dinosaurs, which my son is obsessed with. The kids loved the fossil dig, gem mine and cave tour. Overall it was a great trip with the kids for the money.

By travelingstar55 |

We've been driving by this place for 20 years and always thought it was just some cheesy Florida roadside attraction so never bothered to stop. Boy were we wrong. Upon a suggestion from a friend we took our 3 & 5 yr old grandsons there and we pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. Beautifully landscaped and very clean it has 2 playgrounds, one for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. We did a fossil dig, which was included in the price of our general admission tickets and walked around the entire park on the lush boardwalks. We also packed a picnic lunch since there is NO FOOD SERVICE. We'd rather bring lunch than pay high prices for poor food anyway. Overall the boys had a good time. We spent about 2.5 hrs there which was the appropriate amount of time for our 2 little ones. It is also pet friendly

By sspoto3 |

We took our 2 year old Dinosaur lover here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it! There are so many dinosaurs scattered through the park and it was really fun spotting them along the trails.
The museum has some really cool fossil pieces in it, but I was surprised that they didn't have a full skeleton anywhere. I kinda expected there would be at least one. The animatronic dinosaurs were neat, but it is really dark in that corner and a little scary for little ones.
The fossil dig was horribly crowded and chaotic but it was really fun for the kids. The "fossil" chunks are tiny but it is fun to dig in the sand for them. You can only do this at certain times and they can dig around for 15 mins before deciding their final 3 fossils to keep. I think it would run smoother if it were open the whole day like the gemstones.
We purchased a couple of the gemstone/arrowhead bags to bring home but haven't gone through them yet. It doesn't look like there is a ton in it, but they are reasonably priced so I would recommend giving it a try there.
The giftshop was nice and well worth a look through. There seemed to be something for everyone. Prices weren't horrible.
We ate lunch at the next exit up, but there were tons of picnic benches if you wanted to bring your own lunch.
I highly recommend stopping here, and we will definitely go back!

By Jjanen |

Great visit with Grandma and my 6 yr old niece and 8 yr old nephew. Great attraction for all ages. Bring water if coming in summer. Best to go in cooler months however. The finding gems in the sand was the best part.

By rere2016 |

Three year old grandson enjoyed his visit and the grounds are kept nice. The gem sluicing was a huge hit.

By Lorna T |

Just visited Dinosaur World with my daughter and grandsons. I was very impressed. The park was very well kept. The exhibits were well done and included signs giving each dinosaur’s name, along with pronunciation, and a description of attributes and lifestyle. The Dino gem mining was great. All the kids were excited to find their treasures.

By Alicia D |

Nice scam, what is called throwing money out the windows! Run away!
We just went with the family, expensive outing for what it is, 10 plastic dinosaurs poorly maintained and posed in a parking lot!

By Martha D |

Not much to do.
Only statues
Would not recommend
Nothing to do in there
The park is not small but can be walked in an hour or so

By Donna B |

We were looking for dog friendly places to stop on our trip to give the dogs a chance to stretch their legs a bit, this was great because it was something we could also enjoy.
The dogs enjoyed the sights and smells while we enjoyed reading about the dinosaurs and mining for minerals. It's a hidden gem in a state full of flashy tourist attractions.

By JenniferTX |

So much fun!!! We had a birthday party for an 8-year-old and 10-year-old. We had 24 guests including 14 children and 10 adults. The children played and played on the playground for an hour. They loved the bone yard (uncovering fossils), the gem mining and the fossil dig. The excavation cave was super informative and entertaining for the kiddos. Thumbs up to all the paleontologists! The park was clean, spacious, well maintained, and the greenery lush. We had Nick’s pizza delivered for the party. The party pizzas were HUGE! 2 pizzas fed our party of 24 with a quarter of a pizza left over! We also brought in fruit and drinks (water and juice boxes) for the kids. A great afternoon!

By K. C. |

Dinosaur World, Florida near Tampa is worth the drive! We spent about an hour exploring the immaculately maintained park - and another half hour on a big playground. Due to covid several of the exhibits were closed. Masks were worn indoors and on playground (5 and up). The park is a big circular nature trail that we rarely encountered another family (arrived 1st at 9am). When we were leaving more people were arriving, but the layout made social distancing easy in the mostly 1 way paths. Highly recommend a stop if you’re out this way or want a quick mini vacation.

There’s picnic tables at front and rear of park to bring lunch. Water fountain for dogs, too.

By Taylor P |

This was the coolest little Attraction! We stopped off for gas on the way to Clearwater and saw it across the street and figured we would wait out the rain there. I am so glad we did! It was affordable and just as much fun as any other activities we did in Florida including universal studios! Lots of activities and meat things to see. Just make sure to bring big spray!

We took our two dino loving boys here and they were in absolute heaven. The brochures and website do not do it justice. There are tons of life size dinosaurs in natural-looking settings, a couple of interactive shows/experiences lead by knowledgeable "paleontologists" (whether there were actors or actual paleontologists, I don't know. I can't imagine a paleontology degree is terribly useful and maybe working at a dinosaur themed attraction is a way to pay the bills). At any rate, they were very entertaining and threw some jokes in for the parents as well. The fossil dig was fun and free with kids admission. The gem excavation is a little price but we still did it and the kids loved it. There's also a great playground and plenty of tables and seating to picnic (no food is sold in the park but they welcome bringing your own). Worth every penny if your kids love dinosaurs. I had a good time, too!

Fun for the kids, a little pricey! Many interesting areas and fun for the little ones!

Convenient parking and helpful staff...
Will recommend!

This one was on our list because I thought my grandchildren would enjoy it, and they did.
It’s quite a large park with many hands on things to do- some for free and others you can try for a fee. Both granddaughters tried everything they came across. There are dinosaurs throughout the park in many different settings so you learned as you walked.
It was a very hot day and there are shady spots along the way thankfully. We learned a lot during our adventure here and felt it was worth our time.

My son loved this place. He really liked the boneyard and mining for gemstones and looking at all the dino types. An awesome afternoon. Also shout out to Cecelia, a worker there, who was the nicest person ever!!!

By SL21872 |

Have driven by so many times we finally decided to take the grandkids. Got a good deal on tickets for 2 adults and 2 children.
Easy directions, opens at 9:00 am, we got there by 9:30 am.
Huge gift shop, friendly staff, immaculately clean, 2 nice playgrounds, fun dinosaur activities, interesting museum. We had a great time, about 80% of park has shade or shelters. The playgrounds are out in the sun.....I would imagine in the heat of the summer the children would not be able to use due to sun and heat of the playground equipment.
We enjoyed the walking trails and all the dinosaurs.
The only negative was there were no food items for sale, just some drink vending machines. So bring snacks for the kids. We did 2 1/2 hours and it was just enough.
Ideal for kids 4-10 years old.

was not impressed with this place for the price I paid.

I took my 4 year old nephew for his birthday and paid almost $40 for just the two of us.He loves dinosaurs so we were excited to go.

He likes the digging for fossils and mining gems so that was cool.
Other than that he was bored. The dinosaur statues were not that great and it was wayyy over priced for what you get. At least make the adults cheaper since we are just walking around.

I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

By CharisseT91 |

I took my nephew who loves dinosaurs & we had a blast! Park is a perfect size for small children so they don't get too tired from walking too much. Had nice activities for them to explore & discover.

By Dionisio d |

Went here on a whim and I got to say the place is great for small children. It’s a lot of fun for all ages but geared for small kids.
The price to get in is very reasonable and for additional price includes digging for dinosaur bones and gems.
This place offers different paths featuring different dinosaurs species and special exhibits as well. The place also has a museum as well sell providing different exhibits and robots at the end.
Overall, the place has a lot of value and very entertaining for all ages but especially for young kids. Highly recommend if you have the time.

By abbie k |

This was a great stop for my kids during our Florida trip. Even my non-dino-loving kids were thrilled. There is a lot to do. There's a museum,a fossil dig, a dino trail, and a cave tour. Staff were super animated and personable when interacting with kids. The best part was there is a huge playground and a shaded picnic area for parents. Our kids had hours of fun just playing there. You could easily spend a whole day here.

My only complaints - they should have more food offerings throughout the park.

By MandaKate80 |

We brought our family here today as a change from our pool/beach routine on vacation. My son (3 yo) is obsessed with dinosaurs, so we thought this we be perfect. Our little guy did, in fact, love this place, however the rest of us weren't as impressed. The dinosaurs throughout the park are neat, but they don't move or make sounds. We paid $70 for admission and had seen everything in just over an hour. Not worth it, in my opinion. There also aren't any restaurants or concession stands, so be sure the pack a lunch if you plan to stay longer. We were ready to leave and get out of the heat!

By u2lemon78 |

Yes. It’s all the extra cheese that you expect to come to a place like this. We lucked out and they decorated for Halloween. So we were able to vote on our favorite Halloween scenes with the dinosaur. Great place for all ages. Take your time and read up on the different dinosaurs. By far this is one of the BEST gift shops. I’ll be coming back in here to get items as gifts for people. It was nice to hear from the cashier that your wrist band is good all day. So you can leave for lunch or a nap, and then come back to walk around some more. We did the basic admission and it took just under 2 hours to cover the grounds. Staff were super nice and pleasant. Bonus: you save $$$ paying cash. Great place for all ages.

Our family of four decided to check out Dinosaur World last weekend. We were pleasantly surprised, the park was very clean and had quite a bit to look at. Our oldest son is three and he had a blast. He was able to walk the entire park with out taking a break. The parks walking paths are paved and great for strollers. I do wish the indoor museum was a little more interactive. And although a good portion of the walking paths are shaded by trees, this time of year is probably not ideal because of the heat. Overall a good little day trip.

By yvem2015 |

We visited with an 8 and 14 year old.
Both had a good time, but you should bring bug spray.

The display is set up great and I think us adults had a better time than the kids :)

By Josh2286 |

We actually were on a longer tripped and stopped overnight near hear to make the car ride easier for my 4 year old daughter and to let her do something fun. We honestly didn't know what to expect before arriving.

We had my 4 year daughter who loves dinosaurs and her 11 year old cousin with us with this visit. Dinosaur world itself isn't huge by any means but it was about right for kids as far as I'm concerned.

The dinosaur walk was neat which essentially leads you on a concrete path through a nice wooded area with all sorts of different life sized dinosaurs with information on each of them.

They have a playground that kids can burn off some energy at and also a small little movie theater area that is nice to help cool off. They also have a little area where kids can blindly touch and feel toy dinosaurs and try to guess which dinosaur they are touching.

We paid for the extra couple things since we were there and wanted to get the full experience. One of these was a fossil dig in which they let you go in with little sand sifters and sift through sand which has all sorts of fossils in it. Its filled with tons of tiny fossils so finding them is no issue whatsoever. Kids actually get to pick through and keep their favorite 3 that they find which the employees will help you identify. My daughter being a huge shark fan chose 3 different shark teeth. The other thing is a gem mining type of attraction in which kids get a bag of dirt and a sifter and they get to sift through the dirt in a running water trough to find gems. They also give you a little guide to help identify whatever you find.

Its a pretty minimally staffed place as far as I could tell and consisted of one lady yelling for a guy any time we had an interaction with an employee to help. I don't know if she was a new employee or what but she wasn't able to help us out with even the simplest of tasks. The employees weren't rude but they were overly friendly and outgoing either like I'd normally expect in a place geared toward small children.

They also have a neat little museum that is a nice break from the heat with some really neat fossils and reading information.

One really odd thing for me was that water wasn't an option in any of the vending machines. I did however after asking find out that the gift shop does have water for sale in there. The gift shop had a decent selection and for the most part was pretty reasonably priced compared to what I'd normally expect in such shops.

It was 90+ degrees when we were there and we spent I think roughly 2.5 hours there doing everything they had to offer and taking our time, which for us was as much as my 4 year old could stand before needing a nap anyways.

We had a good time and enjoyed our experience here, its a quirky little unique place unlike anywhere else I've visited and I feel a great experience for smaller children.

By rara0984 |

Place is very cool for kids of all ages who love dinosaurs. Lots of dinosaurs, gift shop, playgrounds, dino dig, and museum. Biggest downside is probably the price. I think it’s kind of expensive.
It is always HOT in Florida and the place is 99% outdoors so be prepared (water, hats, sunscreen are a must). We would probably visit more if we lived closer.

By Chuck P |

Far better than what we were expecting. Kids loved it, great, well maintained grounds. Lots of dinos placed well in the vegetation. Made our kids’ day!

By LindaThamesford |

My sons who are 9 and 11 really enjoyed the park. Definitely worth spending a few extra dollars for the excavation and mining.

By Wags |

My son and I was on our way to meet up with the rest of our family in the Tampa area where we found ourselves needing to kill a little time. We found Dinosaur World on Trip Advisor and though, let’s see what it’s all about!

We arrive and are greeted with a Jurassic Park type of entrance gate and Dino’s at the parking lot...all very cool!

The cost for adults I think was like $16.75, but one can buy discounted tickets through AAA ahead of time just as well!

The park has quite a lot real estate to it and a lot of dinosaur statues. One can go around the park and check out all the different statues, as we did...or you can take a tour as well. The tour does allow you to see some additional parts of the park that you really can’t do/see if you’re just going it without a guide. We missed the tour by 20 minutes m unfortunately.

This is really a great type of park for younger families ...maybe. I bet going on the tour would make it more fun than what we experienced...it was cool to see, but it wasn’t very interactive as it was just statues...no animatronics or audio type of things...so I bet the guided tour would have created a whole other aspect that we weren’t able to witness.

All in all, we had fun and learned a few new things about dinosaurs. I just wish they had more tours..or make it more interactive somehow would definitely make it more fun! Oh....!

And the gift shop is MASSIVE! Cool stuff there too!

By Gwen B |

My son can’t get enough of this place! We’ve been multiple time and I’m sure we’ll be back soon! Very cool exhibits with a lot of knowledge about the dinosaurs.

By George L |

I had not been to Dinosaur World in over five years. They certainly have improved quite a bit in that time. What was basically a collection of static dinosaur figures has improved greatly with additional exploration events. We first went to the Exploration Cave Show which proved to be quite entertaining as well as educational. The kids got to touch fossils too. There also is the ever popular fossil dig where kids can dig in sand to discover fossils and keep three to take home. The museum and animatron dinos were new since I had last been there too. Plus a playground was also an added bonus. All in all, my three year old grandson loved it.

On the down side, the prices went up. I remember this only costing $7 or $8. The cost for an adult is now $16.95 and for a child $11.95. Still it seemed worth it.

By Lexer75 |

My son had a blast here. He is 4 and a half. My wife and I were impressed how clean this place is. The grounds are immaculate. He had a blast and we thought it was a good day and time.

By Tiziano D |

It's a very entertaining venue, with plausibly recreated dinosaurs, skeletons, and similar. The only downside was that they charged us full price although quite a few of the display areas were closed due to Covid prevention regulations.
Kids will love the place.

By Kathy E |

Great place. Grandkids loved it. Clean and very nice gift shop. There's a dinosaur surprise at every turn. Friendly staff. It would be nice to see a hot dog stand for lunch.

By Mandi G |

Spent a few hours here while on our way from Orlando to the Tampa area. Our family loves all things dinosaurs so we were looking forward to visiting this park. Some of the statues and displays need a little work but overall it was a pleasant walk around to see the different dinosaurs in the natural landscapes. It's pretty well shaded thanks to some tall trees and the boardwalk meanders all over the park. We went to a paleontologist talk, which was neat and our kids did the fossil dig and each took home some shark teeth! The museum has lots of bones and fossils which was cool- their animatronic dinos are also in the museum. There are only 4, so it's a little underwhelming but kids will enjoy it! There's no food onsite, other than a couple of vending machines, but lots of picnic tables if you wanted to bring your own. Overall, if your kids like dinosaurs it's definitely worth a visit!

By AnAmericanAbroadUK |

If you are looking for a place to spend the day with smaller children, this would be a place to do it. The dinosaurs are really cool looking, and huge, and the activities for them are enough to kill a few hours for the day.

I would HIGLY recommend waiting till the cooler months to visit however, because the heat is just horrible, and made it so that the outside activities felt very rushed. Hurry up and get in the AC.

The inside attractions were awesome, but could be frightening for smaller children, as it is dark, and the animatronic dinosaurs also make noises.

Gift shop was well stocked with a good variety of items, and had a nice little clearance table where I picked up a gorgeous ammonite fossil for half off!

I would definitely recommend!

By asnow815 |

Visited with my 4 year old and 21 month old. They had fun playing in the playground area. There is an area for smaller kids and one for older kids. The fossil dig was also a hit.

By Lead2829 |

Worth the drive from Orlando if you have a day to get away from Disney. My kids really liked it. Tons of dinosaur statues to check out. The museum has some neat items that let you know how big or little some of these dinosaurs were. There is a playground also. Takes about an hour and a half to get through including time for the playground.

By Sally C |

I took my grandchildren, ages 4 & 5, to Dinosaur World, it was super easy to get to and the kids were amazed from the entrance to the exit. It was truly much more cool and entertaining than I ever anticipated. It was the best place I have ever been to, that the kids could truly be kids. They could run, holler and be themselves. They have 2 playgrounds, one for 6 and under and the other for a little older children, and they adjoin, so they ended up playing at both. We brought a picnic lunch, which I highly recommend. There are numerous covered picnic tables though-out the pack. They also have many areas and benches to sit on through-out the park. The actual nature part of the park is packed with Dinosaurs in their natural settings, somewhat. It is really a neat walk and very informative and entertaining. The kids had a blast, there was something to see everywhere, even terrordactyls hanging from trees. This is a place you will want to take your time to enjoy and picnic and have fun with the family.

Had a 2nd Birthday Party here! It was great for ALL ages; the young, old and teens! The grounds were clean and beautiful! The dinosaurs looked pretty realistic if I do say so myself! The walking trail in the back was GREAT!! The kids and adults enjoyed the activities available!! Our party set up was at the playground and covered picnic tables (which we had to reserve.) they give you the flexibility to set up your area the way you choose! I highly recommend for all to visit for any occasion!!!

By jagmanbowls |

First visit - after living in Florida for 14+ years I'm sorry it took us so long to visit. We went for a kids birthday party and had the best time. We were very surprised to find the park well maintained - parking lot recently paved and lots of parking. The entry area holds a huge gift shop which is clean and has every gift you could imagine and the prices were very reasonable. The staff is friendly and bathrooms very clean. The park is very large - lots of walking if you wish to do this much walking. The park holds a huge playground area near the picnic tables (covered) for eating or parties. Two neat areas are the mining for gems and arrowheads and the fossil dig area. You pay a little extra for the kids to get a bag of sand/dirt that can be poured into a mesh troff where they get to play in this rapid water troff area that filters away the sand and grif to reveal many gems and/or arrow heads - if you buy a bag you are guaranteed take home prizes from the bags...many stones and many arrow heads! The fossil dig allows kids to take a container and sift through the dry sand and reveal real fossils - shark teeth or rocks - bones - really cool stuff! The park is huge and very educational. If you have a dinosaur lover then you have hit pay dirt here - worth the price of admission for the first time experience and Yes we would go back!
We would encourage the gift shop even for

By Sarah A |

Pleasantly surprised! Well worth the price of admission, but go early before the heat of the day or during the winter months. Definitely recommend.

By G2655BWgaryk |

We brought our kids and they had so much fun! We were so impressed with how well kept the grounds are and how beautiful the dinosaurs were.

By TammyE0713 |

For the price of admission, you get to walk along a winding path outside and search through a massive sandbox for three 'fossils" to keep (per kid, not per person) - you get a little sifter and cup to find shark teeth and fossils. The large statues are everywhere, depicting sometimes realistic scenes of dinosaurs doing what carnivores do. There are a couple of repeats, but unless you read all the plaques that accompany each display, you will just observe the scenes and keep moving. Some of the dinos are in need of some paint retouch, but nothing too terrible. My boys liked the Mammoth area and the Paleontology area (showing how the bones are dug up and grid-lined). Once you have traveled around the park, or even before if you want, you can go inside the little museum that has all kids of real displays including meteorites and fossilized dino poop. However, my younger son ran in terror from the three moving dinos at the end - triggered by a motion sensor - which was weird to us since he is usually the brave one... you can skip the museum part if your kid would be scared by animatronic dinosaurs - you have to exit past them.
On a side note, the gift shop is one of the most reasonably priced tourist gift shops I've seen in a while. You can find geodes and toys and jewelry, all for a price that makes sense, rather than the typical upcharge you might find elsewhere. I gave this place 4/5 rating due to the admission price (like $15) for what you get - but the fossil dig was fun for my kids - and there is also a playground/picnic area. This place is tailored for field trips, but something neat to see for kids. I would suggest checking the weather before going, since this is all outside, and when we got rained on we still had a long walk back to the main building. You can bring lunch with you, and this is also a stroller-friendly park, but bring water if it's a hot day, as you will get sweaty if it's hot - and thirsty. Don't expect to be wowed, but this is still neat for kids who like dinosaurs.

By dbarker101 |

We have been bringing our grandsons to Dinosaur World for about 3 years now. They just love it and they add new attractions from time to time so it keeps them excited. We especially like the laid back feel. You can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day. The admission prices are good and the gift shop is reasonable. We also like the setting, wild Florida, and it is so kid friendly you can let them enjoy themselves without worrying. I will miss it when the boys decide they are too old to go.

By Chris P |

Worth visiting, nice no Disney day. Great price with many discounts available, check online and flyers in hotel.

By AirForceWife03 |

Great 1/2 day trip. Clean and shady. My daughter's favorite part was Dino Gem Excavation...extra cost...but worth it! You receive a bag of dirt and mine it to find treasures. No food...but vending machines available...but you can bring your own food for a picnic.

By Anne F |

Had a blast at the Mammoth Haunt with our 8 yo. The perfect amount of scares for that age. Bar was great for adults. Really loved the lights and decorations.

By Red-Super-Hero |

This is a great place to get a feeling of what life with the dinosaurs was like. We really enjoyed our time here. You have to keep looking around. Some are almost hiding. A great outing for any age. Spend time looking around the gift shop. Lots of neat items there.

By Melinda B |

My 3 year old grandson and I had a great time. It is a beautiful park with much more than you can see from the highway. it is a great activity for preschool and younger grades because one can see everything without getting overly tired.

By sharonsK3907LS |

Our six year old Grandson has had a fascination for Dinosaurs since two, we took him with his mom & dad to Dinosaur World. He was thrilled to spend time talking to two Palenologists (which he has said he wants to be since he was 4). He did a fossil dig, panned for gems, went through many exhibits, nice playground and had a marvelous day (approximately 4 1/2 hrs.). We brought a picnic lunch; several covered areas in which to sit & eat. It was a perfect day & a memorable one for the whole family.

By Christopher S |

Very realistic dinosaurs throughout the park. Great place for children's birthday parties. They have party packages available. If your kids are into dinosaurs, this is a must go.

By tonylisaieo |

We went on a school day and there was a school group there. That’s fine, but the fossil dig is only available at certain time a couple of hours apart. Well my three year old grandson didn’t have a chance to doing this event. I wish when there is a scheduled group they should have a dig at a different time just for them. The dinosaurs were cool and my grandson really liked it.

By KC Gypsy Explorer |

This place was a paradise for my granddaughter who is five and a huge dino fan. We did the fossil dig. Each kid gets to keep three fossils. Gem mining was my fave. Kids get a bag of sand filled with gems. They screen the sand in water and get to keep all the gems. We bought extra bags because she had so much fun. But even one bag is enough for a small bag full to take home. The museum with moving dinosaurs was fun. The park is set up nice for a great hike around. The dinosaurs are huge. Lots of information and fun. Nice playground. The gift shop was super. Restrooms were clean, lots of parking. Price reasonable. I plan on taking my other grandkids for a visit.

By Betsears |

My dughter's and myself went here. We had 5 adults a baby and my 2 year old great grandson. We all enjoyed it. They have activities for the kids to do that have to do with the dinosaurs. Really had a great time.

By Dominic A |

This is a great place to bring your kids. Although my group of 3 young adults had a good time too. Decent sized walking areas and lots of dinosaur facts, mixed with statues, animatronics and real fossils. Very reasonable prices and a great way to spend a couple hours.

By ramchandgadde |

This is an educational tour and also having to explore more about Dinosaurs. After went to this we got clear picture of different Dinosaurs lived few years ago. My kid loved it!
I would recommend this tour half day(4-5 hours).

By Sweetdreams37 |

Great place for kids and adults most of the dinos are statues and there is a cute shop. They do have a picnic area so bring a cooler with lunch.

By brapczyn |

We love to take our grandkids to Dinosaur World. It is a much quieter, less complicated place to visit than the Orlando theme parks. Beautiful, shaded areas, koi pond, and life-size, albeit very fake dinosaurs with recorded sounds. Kids can dig in the fossil pit or play in the playground. Smart marketing has you entering thru the gift shop, so be prepared to buy a few extra things as you leave.

By infiniticm |

I've been wanting to go here for a long time, and now that my grandchildren are old enough we made the trip. It was awesome! They ran, they laughed, and they learned. It is by far one of the cleanest, well laid out parks, and definitely a MUST for anyone with children.

By Billy684 |

My child adores dinosaurs so this was a perfect place to spend a morning. The place is in excellent condition. Grounds are very well manicured. The dinosaurs were in amazing condition. Paths were clean and well maintained. I'm a very hard to please customer (you can see my other reviews) and this place did not disappoint. It has a playground too! The animatronics were not that awesome, but I'm not into that so I didn't care much. I'll be definitely coming back!

By Leanna P |

What a waist of money! I was expecting to see the dinosaurs more realistic. They are so fake and boring. No activities, just a play ground for toddlers and some stone find. All of us adults and kids from 12 and under were disappointed a lot.

By Alana M |

We stopped here on the way to Sea World since my 3 year old son asks if he can go there every time we pass it & I always tell him that we'll try it next time. So, this time we actually stopped & gave it a try. It was good for a stop on the way to something else, but I did expect a little more from it. My son and my 6 year old daughter loved the dinosaur statues, the fossil dig, & the Lucky Strike Gem Excavation. My 8 year old daughter was pretty bored & only liked the Gem Excavation. She usually loves science type activities & museums too, so for her to be so bored with the place showed that it wasn't really geared towards older kids at all. After about 2 hours, even my 3 & 6 year olds were bored so we continued on our way to Orlando. I don't think we will return to this park. It was cute, but not worth spending the money to return.

By Fred B |

The experience was interesting but I expected more. The statues of animals were limited, there should have been more. Even though it was the off season, they should have treated guest as it was a peek season. I fond it hard to find once I got off the I-4, no signs directing you.

By bodhi_sam |

If you’re looking for a nice little outing for kids and adults who love Dinos, this is worth a visit. It’s small, but we’ll kept and has a ton of life size Dino sculptures. The cost is nothing compared to the surrounding theme parks and you can easily and leisurely get through in a few hours. We loved it for an entertaining afternoon walk.

By marciamI7142XE |

I really did not know what to expect but what a nice place for children. The exhibits are nice and the foliage is beautiful. The park is so clean. Children play area is top notch. My 3 year old grandson had a blast. I would highly recommend this place.

By mikes302 |

My son gets excited when just reading about Dinosaurs, so we knew he would have a good time. What we were pleasantly surprised about was about how well maintained the park was, and how nice the trails were.

By William I |

Really loved this place and don’t let snobbery stop you from visiting. We used it as a break in between driving from Orlando to Anna Maria.

My son who is 4 loved it

It’s not universal, doesn’t try to be, but if your kid loves dinosaurs they will LOVE it.

Loses 1 star as the eating facilities weren’t back open yet, but overall was good value and a place I’d visit again!

By Scott H |

Plenty of dinosaur sightings and a good reason to get out for a walk. Not too expensive and a great good weather option.

By ThelMita |

Park grounds are well kept and stick to the theme--No need for other. One can take great pictures and learn some historical dino facts but If you expect hi-tech talking robots then this ain't the park for you. Yet; if you are a wanna-be paleontologist and love to learn then this park serves you well. My son-4 yrs old--loved it and was excited to name all the dinosaurs -he also enjoyed the park area and digging for fossils too. The park hours are not extensive and it offers no food to buy other than snacks. Its operation is family owned-as far as I was told- so do not expect hi-tech entertainments here--go to Disney for that. And grab yourself a big bottle of water for the trails are long-mosquitoes are prevalent and it is quite hot in Summer ---a sauna---but I still think that for the purpose of learning and being that the park itself is not jammed with long lines and people-one can surely make a big adventure of it which is surely entertaining nevertheless. I had no problems and enjoyed my visit but I do see how it could be a seen once done that type of park.

By orange5255 |

Its a playground at best and not a very good one , yes you can walk round the Dinosaurs and do a dig and mine some stones but to be honest he wanted to leave after one hour .
nothing is good value and the toys are just a rip off we bought a box of plastic ,containing a Dinosaur and a jeep for $70 dollars worth ten at best .
A waited opportunity I think its clean but no cafe no food etc ,.
I do wonder why in Florida such a poor opertunity exists

By Todd405 |

What a great place! We spent over four hours here exploring, eating a picnic lunch (bring your own food) and doing the various activities. The fossil dig and gem activity are well worth it. The dino displays were great, but we had just as much fun spotting lizards on the paths. If you're looking for a simple and fun outdoor activity with reasonable crowds and lots to do, look no further.

By Cathy J |

The family surprised our 3 year old grandson to visit Dinosaur World. We all had a blast! The place is immaculate, gift shop huge and the playground is great. Vincent had a great time and we can't wait to come back.

By bader330 |

Starting off, having a 4 year old who is a dinosaur extremist he absolutely loved the park and "it was the most exciting day ever!". From a mommy perspective I liked how they had picnic tables so we could eat our own lunch and the marshy "Jurassic"/Floridian vegetation was well maintained. A lot of the dinos look dated (the elasmosaurus and mosasaurus weren't even in the water and looked a little hokey) and our little dino expert wondered why there weren't as many that he was hoping to see. I wish there had been more educational things for him than just running from dino to dino (no little guy is going to sit still for you to read the signs they have...sometimes his questions like, 'what was their habitat' or 'what did they eat' weren't addressed). Some sections of the park are brutally hot and others are so shaded it's a mosquito feast. All the lovely extremes of Florida. Lastly the gift shop...we all know we're not getting out of there without something (by the way, you enter and exit the park through the gift shop) but the reasonably priced toys are cheap and falling apart and the quality ones are exorbitant. We spent $50 just on toys and it was not worth it. But is my little man happy? Yes, and that's all that matters.

By Barbara B |

The price was a bit high for the amount of time it took to cover this attraction. If you are short on time and only have a few hours this is your place. The place is kept up nicely, clean and staff were very eager to help if needed. Exhibits best for ages 5-10 (?) There were some activities for children to do that did not cost extra. Would be nice if attraction offered food or concession in the park. Vending machine only.

Lots of shade for walking and not crowded. Nice gift shop.

By Rick K |

This is a fun and educational place to see and learn about some of the many different types of dinosaurs that roamed the world so many years ago. They have around 150 life-sized exhibits of everything from Wooly Mammoths to T-Rexes to Brontosauruses. The foliage around the park is astounding. They have so many different trees, plants, vines, bushes, shrubs, etc. that you feel like you have stepped back in time while wondering through the paths of the 20 acre park.

One downside is that it is really close to the highway, so there is always the sound of vehicular traffic not too far away. If it weren't for that, you could easily forget you were at a theme park of sorts.

Be aware, they do not serve food here, so bring your own if you want to spend the day. They have ample picnic tables so there are plenty of places to sit down for lunch. They're open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year round and have free parking. Getting to and from there couldn't be easier as they are in Plant City, just off I-4 at Exit 17 between Orlando and Tampa.

Prices are very reasonable and a family of four can visit for less that the cost of a single day ticket for one person at the major theme parks. They also have shows, actual artifacts on display and even a small playground for the kids. The gift shop is amazing with just about anything dinosaur related you can think of.

Give the kids or yourself or anyone who likes dinosaurs a treat and stop by here if you get the chance. I know we liked it and I'm guessing you will too.

Our granddaughter, who is 3 and loves dinosaurs, had a wonderful time at Dinosuar World. The life size dinosaurs were a little scary but also fascinating! She loved the playground, too!

By Sreejesh R |

Other than the I-4 traffic noise, its very calm and cool place to relax a day with family. Plenty of picnic tables where you can relax and enjoy your food (no food court of restaurants available inside.. pack your lunch and snacks with you). Toddlers will enjoy the park very well. the entire walk inside takes 2-3 miles inside the park.

My 2.5 year old son loves dinosaurs and he had a blast here. A bit disappointed that they charged full price during Covid when all their interactive exhibits where closed, but it was still very enjoyable and I love that it's dog friendly. I was also impressed with the exhibit quality, I thought this would be corny but it was great!

By Scott C |

We took our son to Dinosaur World and he loved it so much that he didn't want to leave. We went on a trek to find dinosaurs in the jungle, dug up dinosaur fossils, and sifted for precious stones in a nearby stream. It was a very eventful day!

By ocalatravelor |

While here you feel like you're really back in time. The natural environment is fitting for these dinosaurs. There is plenty to see while you walk under shaded trees. Not crowed or overpriced. They could use more fans, especially on hot days like today. My four grand children loved it. They are ages 6, 7, 8 and 15..

By Josephinejj86 |

My son's school had a field trip here and my son couldn't have been more excited!! He loved the fossils, playground, and all the dinosaurs! The experience with the archeologists was awesome and fun! Will definitely go back by ourselves! Even if just for the playground lol!!

By Amanda |

We have come here the past 2 years we have vacationed in Florida and my son is already planning his next trip. We love the animatronic dinosaurs and we walk the path multiple times. He loves the fossil find and playground as well. We can't wait to go back to add another dino to our collection.

An Awesome place and the most helpful and friendly staff. Cudos to LEISA B. A real professional and down to earth chick. Assisted me above and beyond the call of duty 5 STARS ALL THE WAY 🔅🔴🟥🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖

Excellent customer service in a clean and family friendly environment! We made the very easy drive from Disney for our dinosaur loving 3 year old who enjoyed every minute of this adventure, but our whole family had a great time. The person who checked us in helped plan our day so we were able to get to see all of the scheduled activities and work our way through the park. We were impressed how well kept the grounds were and the activities kept the kids attention. Well done!
Definitely bring snacks and drinks- but we were prepared from reading other reviews.
Thank you for a wonderful adventure!!! I will definitely recommend to others.

Very family oriented. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots to do for all ages. Great learning experience also.

Took our 7 year old here for her birthday. I did not know if she and her brothers and sisters would like it as it did not have rides etc. But they loved it. Dug for fossils, watched the scientist dig for fossils and then dug some more. They had a great time looking for gems too. Birthday girl was free but you better bring proof. Kids had a great time

This is really a great place. First class. It is very well organized, clean and educational for both adults and children. It will take about a half day to see everything, but the time is well worth it. We take our two grandchildren there every year when they come down for a visit, and they always ask to go back again.

By Mike L |

We went there with our three children 7,6, and 4 while on vacation. They all loved it and we did too! Great visuals, interactive shows, lots of educational information, and great gift shop. Also just a short drive from Orlando/Kissimmee/Disney area.

By grammynjc |

Negative was not enough places to sit down for parents, teens, or grands. It is allll outdoors and only a few places to sit down and they were not placed functionally to where the little ones were playing and needing supervision. July was hot. Bring your water and lots of it. The under cover picnic tables all were reserved for camp functions. One trip there is enough. “Been there, done that” kind of thing. The positive was the Dig fit little ones. They were satisfied with what they did. Big gift shop, the water and pop machine outside. Take with on your way through park. Great mastodons and Dinosaur look alikes and fossils.

By LovetoWalk51 |

We visited during a family vacation. The entrance/exit is through the large gift shop, which has a large selection of dinosaur items for the younger set, gift items, fossils, blown glass and jewelry. A paved path winds its way through the native vegetation where you can view over 150 life-sized dinosaur statues – all with signs explaining a few facts. The statues were bright and clean and numerous benches were provided! It was amazing to stand by a huge Stegosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus Rex! There is no food service provided, but soft drinks and water can be purchased from machines. Two large playgrounds surrounded by covered picnic tables was a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch and let the kids play. At appointed times during the day, a fossil dig ($2.00 extra charge), a game show, cave show are offered. There is a sluice for mining gems and you can purchase a geode and crack it open. Feed the koi fish. One spot my two year old grandson really enjoyed was a huge (maybe 4’ x 10’) wooden jig saw puzzle of two dinosaurs. A museum located by the entrance has several animatronic dinosaurs along with a fantastic variety of fossils!

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and peacefulness of the park! I-4 runs along side of the property, but we found it easy to block out the traffic noise through most of our visit. We will definitely return and also recommend Dinosaur World to other families!

By Rotsiefan |

Went here on Father's Day and was delighted to learn that all dads were allowed to enter for free! So good on their management for that nice gesture! (I was told by one of the young ladies at the front desk that they also do this for Mother's Day.)

You really can't miss this place as you travel along Interstate 4. I had actually never heard of Dinosaur World but we passed it on our way from Orlando to Clearwater, so on our return trip to Orlando we decided to pay a visit.

It's apparently set on 12 acres (mostly outdoors) and their are lots of replica dinosaurs (well over 100, I'd guess) scattered about the property. And each of the dinosaurs had cute little informative plaques in front of them to tell you what kind of dinosaur it was as well as a few facts.

Even thought it was a hot day when we visited, it was manageable because a lot of the dinosaurs are located in the wooded (read: shady) part of the grounds. And there are very nicely maintained sidewalks and wooden bridges/railings to guide you around the park. I didn't really expect much going in (despite the fairly high rating on TripAdvisor!) but I thought it was actually nicer than I thought it would be. Our family, which includes a 14- and 10-year-old, spent about 2 1/2 hours here.

Despite the fact that they comped me for Father's Day, I feel the need to take off a point only because the admission prices ($16.95/adult, $11.95 kids: ages 3-12) seemed a little steep for a 2-3 hour visit. That said, it's still a fun attraction to visit at least once if you've got younger kids. Or if you're a dinosaur-loving adult.

By Stasha E |

Absolutely wonderful for kids that love everything dinosaur. We had a great time watching our daughter go wild. With admission you get a cave tour, trivia game show, & fossil dig. It was a perfect day with plenty to keep us busy. If I had to pick a negative it would be to sell ice cream, it's hot!!

By shesmiles2004 |

My 3 year old child LOVED this and talks about it a lot. They have tons of true to size dinosaurs hidden and nicely places throughout the jungle inside, and some grazing in the open on small plains. The gift shop is super fun to look at, and nicely kept, You walk in through it and leave through it. I would have given it 5 stars if they had food there. 4 stars for the experience without food. WARNING: They do have a carnivore section of dinosaurs eating other dinosaurs- my 3 year old would have preferred to avoid that. Overall it was a great experience and the staff is very informative. They recommended the PBS Dinosaur Train show for my toddler and she LOVES it! This is a fun experience and a must do if you're near it. We want to go back!

By kimberly b |

We took this trip while in Orlando, Fl. It was about a 45 min drive to get there. We arrived at 9am and it was almost empty on Memorial Day. Our kids were 7 and 9 at the time. Both my kids loved the place. It was rather corny at the end but my son loved reading the signs and trying to identify the type of dinosaur. The tall plants and trees helped provide shade during the extreme heat. They were also doing maintenance on the property while we were there. There was no place to eat so bringing snacks and drinks would be a good idea. They had picnic tables to sit at. Loved that they let dogs in. There was a bridge that had fish swimming beneath. My kids liked feeding the fish so bringing quarters for the food machine would be helpful. Staff was really nice and friendly. It would be a great day trip for anyone to go to.

By Faith |

Was cool to see the dinosaurs but for the price, we were expecting more, it's really only for young children and the adults (the more expensive ticket) were bored quickly.

By Dartagnan C |

If you have small children who love dinosaurs this is the park for you. But if you are looking for animated displays or animatronic characters stay in disney. There are great photo opportunities everywhere. Small children will love this place. You can bring a picnic lunch and food if you'd like. Definitely recommend this place as a little diversion to all the parks in orlando. You can spend a good two two and a half hours there and get some fantastic pictures.

By johnluriejr |

5/8/21 - Beware, over 1/2 the attractions are not open!!! There are no signs to tell you this except for a 4x6 laminated to the counter posting in small print they fail to mention after charging the admission fee. They draw no attention to it and hope you miss it amongst the screaming children with you. It was a sad event and I am sure these 'closed' areas could have been opened if they had staff but thanks to unemployment, no one wants to work and therefore they are lazy to have a fully operational attraction. Sorry folks, but you deserved this review

By DMP |

We have lived in the Tampa area for over 20 years and thought some silly attraction. We now have a grandson
4 1/2 who has always loved dinosaurs. So we took him not expecting much. We were very wrong! The first time we took him he was just over 3 yrs. We are still taking him.
He stays with his Ama and Ampa weekend every month. He starts talking about going when he I pick him up.
So, we go every month( buy annual pass)
We are getting a little burned out but we will keep going as long as he wants to.

They have this huge puzzle which is my only criticism.
They need a new one....very very worn to say the least!

By carolyn b |

That we would spend about an 1 hr, nope we truly enjoyed ourselves, took lots of pics of each other and the giants alone, great for locals or tourist.

By teensytheclown |

Low key and interesting. More than just large Dino statues. Mini golf included, several play areas, a “train”. Most interesting was the Doom area to the right of the entrance especially the guide. Museum also worth taking your time to explore. Nice souvenir shop. Plan on 2 hours but if your kids are into dinosaurs you could be there much longer. No food but several picnic tables.

By Shelby |

This was our second visit to dinosaur world, and I can’t express accurately how much we love this gem. My children are definitely Dino kids, and tend to enjoy Dinosaur World just as much (if not more) than the big Orlando theme parks were typically leaving when we stop by Dinosaur World. The value of what you’re paying is insane, we’ve been twice and still haven’t covered all that the park offers in activities. They have life sized high quality dinosaur replicas spaced EVERY WHERE through out the park, but that isn’t all: state of the art jungle gyms, digging locations, gem sifting activities, a VERY interesting museum with top notch fossil replicas, and a gift shop that is a must see for any little dinosaur enthusiast. I think the park would benefit from having food available (or if they already do, I didn’t notice).

Worth taking an entire day to walk through. The plant life on site is one of a kind, and always impresses the amateur botanist in me and my partner.

By lanagy999 |

My 6 yr old grandson loves Dinosaurs, so he loved walking around and looking at the giant Dino’s. Had our 8 yr old grandson with us to. He liked it. They also liked the gemstone mining. It’s a cute little place. Has a few activities. It’s basically a park where you walk a path looking at all different types of Dinosaurs.

By Tommy G |

This is a great place to spend about 4 hours if you do it all. Clean park, cute shows, great landscaping, nice people. It was some quieter fun educational time time with my wife and 10 year old. Lots of hands on activities.

If you have 3-5 year old kids, they will absolutely love it no questions asked.

By Bron1303 |

We saw this place on the side of the Freeway and turned around to go for a visit with our Dinosaur obsessed Grandson. What a great time we all had. The Dinosaur park is really laid out nicely with a lot of thought and detail. We bought the full package for G the Exc pass he got a lanyard as a souvenir. The train ride was excellent. It’s been his best time on the holiday so far !!!

By Betty M. M |

Been there lots with dinosaur-loving kids. Great Trails, habitats, facts, great signage and exhibits. Recently took my 14-month grandson on a whim. He's far too young for exhibits, but the trails, sound effects and giant Dino's were good for hours of outdoor, unfettered fun for us both! Plus, best toddler playground I've seen. It's August so I picked a cloudy day and used LOTS of sunscreen. Don't go on a full sun day with little ones. There's a lot a shade, but this is Florida! The misting jungle walk was extra fun! Don't pass this up with kids--way beats Disney, etc.

By Ani R |

Amazing place! Outdoors, shades along the walk paths, nature all over, enough places to rest or snack, It was clean and the dinosaurs statues looked great, in general very well maintained. The gem mining, the fossil dig, the playground everything was fun. We had a blast. My daughter (8y.o.) loved it.

By lynn |

We finally stopped after driving back and forth many times from DeLand to Tampa. Walking up, made me feel I was in and episode of Jurrasiac Park if it had opened and...and well you know the rest. This theme park is very clean and the dinosaurs look great. there are plenty of things to do for kids and great family time. The staff was very pleasant and it had plenty of room for birthdays. Probably the only thing I could say, is maybe clean some of the fallen moss off the dinosaurs and twigs. Otherwise, we had a fun day and it is an amazing place to spend the day with children.

By Not_Me9 |

Not enough animation of dinasaurs. Museum boring. Fossil dig closed. Several stages throughout park, no events held. Only interaction for kids was the gem mining.

By aricka G |

Took my 5 year old and a friend with her 3 year old. They loved it so Much and it was a lot more than we expected (we spent 3 hours there and they didn't want to leave). Fun playgrounds for them (mostly shaded and covered picnic tables). Long trail with lots of dinos (complete with sign and facts about each).
And the excavation ticket is worth it for the little ones.

By mfavour |

If you are a dinosaur lover or not you are going to love this place. My family and i are over the moon of this place. My son didn’t want to leave this place as it was so educational and owe inspiring to him and the me. My wife who is not into this stuff after the day said “this was a good attraction to see”.

By Emi W |

This was our second visit here but our children were very young the first time we went so we visited again. Our kids are 13, 11, & 8. They enjoyed walking around and seeing the dinosaur statues and they liked the train ride. I think this would be our last visit because it's a little too young for our kids to go again. There is a ton of information about dinosaurs and the statues are pretty cool to see the differences. My husband and I enjoyed the museum at the front with all the bones. This is definitely a great place to check out at least once!

By Anita D |

Dinosaur world was a nice way to spend a day outside. The dinosaurs were huge in relation to size. It was hot but they have a lot of shade. I think it is cool that you can have birthday parties there. They have two different playgrounds at the park, one for small kids one for bigger kids. Make sure you check out the museum. WARNING: Snakes are on the pathways sometimes

By Darleen S |

It’s great for young ones who love dinosaurs. Some of the dinosaurs need repairs, that even my 3 year old grandson noticed. He still had a great time and asked when he could go back

By SierraGuillen |

We enjoyed our visit. December weather was 75-80 degrees. We had a 4 and 6 year old and 15 year old. They all enjoyed it. Some families brought food and had little picnics. Its more for kids 10 or younger. Drinks are available to buy. Parking was easy. Restrooms were clean.

By Cheryle57 |

Great place for family time! Easy access - located right off the interstate. No grill of snack shop on location, so pack a lunch - they have plenty of picnic areas.

By Louis F |

The place is larger than I thought it would be. they have a huge gift shop with a lot of cool things geared for all ages. There are a ton of dinosaurs throughout and a lot of educational information. There is a lot of stuff geared towards children but adults can be entertained as well.

By A H |

Went to Dinosaur World in Plant City, FL for our 3 year old granddaughter's birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The park is very well maintained and clean. We got there about 1:00 p.m. which was plenty of time to do everything at the park (which closed at 5:00), including a fossil dig at 2:00 p.m., gem mining, playground activities, cave explorations, and a walk among life size dinosaurs tucked throughout the woods. Signs with dinosaur names and information are posted by each . There is also a dinosaur museum with real artifacts for adults who love this type of stuff. There are plenty of picnic tables in the playground area and throughout the park. The only downfall I saw was the park did not offer any type of food. It did, however, have vending machines scattered throughout for drinks. If you plan to have any kind of gathering you may want to call the park to see how to reserve a picnic table, and bring plenty of food and drinks for the day. Would definitely recommend this for a family day trip!

By Leona M |

I finally had the opportunity to take my grandson, who is all about dinosaurs and already proclaiming his desire to become a paleontologist, to visit the Dinosaur World. The excitement he had as he seen each dinosaur in its habitat surrounding and reading the dinosaur's facts placard was a clear indicator that this place was the absolute "coolest" for kids to visit! The view from I-4 does no justice for this hidden treasure. Due to the pandemic, the prices have been reduced and some areas (i.e. playgrounds & fossil digging) are closed. However, there are a plethora of dinosaur displays to see!

By ndw78 |

Saw this via trip advisor recommendations & so glad we went along as weather wasn’t looking grand for Orlando. It only took about 40 mins to get there but traffic was heavier being the weekend so 25/30 back

The park has so many dinosaurs in the habitat it looks brilliant

We spent 2.5 hours in there and saw everything at a nice pace

You can’t go right next to all the dinosaurs but there are plenty of interactive exhibits for the children to play in. Including puzzles and fossil digging

They don’t have a cafe/restaurant so take a packed lunch. There’s plenty of covered seated areas

By AutumnSky16 |

My Husband and I took our girls, ages 2.5 and 11 mos, to check out Dinosaur World. I admit I was nervous about it being too scary, but our 2 y/o LOVED it and is now totally into Dinosaurs!

I gave it four stars because the majority of this place is just walking around looking at dinosaur statues hidden amongst the vegetation. However, there are LOTS of fun photo opportunities and our daughter had a great time "spotting" the dinosaurs. This seemed to be more exciting for slightly older children - I overheard a few happily naming the different dinosaurs on sight. There were also signs that gave you more information about each one.

The dinosaurs throughout the park do not move or make noise. There is a small museum with one "scene" of moving dinosaurs, but that is all. There are several other activities you can add to your visit for additional fees. We did the fossil dig and it was well worth the extra $2. Children each get a chance to sift through the sand looking for fossils. They can gather up as many as they want and then get to pick their favorite 3 to take home with them.

Dinosaur World also has two dinosaur themed playgrounds, one for younger children and one for older, that both my girls enjoyed immensely. The park itself is very clean and well kept.

A couple things to note:

1.) They do not sell food or drinks inside the park, except for vending machines. You are allowed to bring in outside food/drink and they provide several well kept picnic areas throughout.

2.) There is an area for "mature" audiences. Somehow we missed the sign for this and wandered in there. It was not unreasonably violent or bloody, but it did seem a little much for a 2 y/o IMO. There was a larger dino with a smaller one hanging by it's head from his jaws and several eating the innards out of another with mild blood. Again, there is a small sign and it is not overly bloody or gruesome, but if your child is very young or sensitive to these types of things, I would suggest avoiding this small section.

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by our visit to Dinosaur World. We had a wonderful experience here and would certainly recommend it to other parents, especially if you have a dinosaur enthusiast in the family!

By DaisyMaroun |

We visited Dinosaur World in July 2016 and had a lovely time at this place. The fees were very reasonable and the children enjoyed the activities inside. Definitely recommend!

By 2Woofs |

Immaculately clean grounds and shop. Superb signage and education. Covid restrictions have interactive portions closed, yet because it IS outdoors it was a something-to-do-during restrictions destination, plus we could bring our dog. This is a time machine escape to your childhood when dinosaurs roamed the earth fantasy come true. Even in the Florida heat the gorgeous jungle vegetation keeps you pretty shaded. We very much appreciated not only the dinosaur history identifications, but the foliage information as well. The park offers the range from "ooh look at the big dino!" to deep paleontology data and fossils display. It exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning.

By knbarry2012 |

Not much to do, and it’s just statues in a swampy area. Fossil dig was sand and some random sharks teeth and shells. If the price was cheaper than maybe it would be okay to do, but for the cost I’d say go elsewhere.

By John J |

We gave our three kids a bunch of tourist brochures to pick out what they wanted to do today while in Tampa. Our kids are 6,5,and 2; and were super excited. The park did not disappoint, with the big favorite of sifting for gems. Good place for a low key relaxing day with the kiddos.

By sammyraez |

It was on the pricier side but is a must-see if you have kids. They have military discounts, $2 coupons, and other discounts available. There are TONS of statues and information for each dinosaur. There was a neat little fossil museum as well. The gift shop had TONS of real fossils, gems, and other trinkets to buy. We spent around 2+ hours total.

By ggreen19 |

My husband and I took our 2 boys (ages 4 and 2) to see dinosaurs. The boys had a great time looking for dinosaurs along the path. My husband and I enjoyed learning about dinosaurs from the paleontologists. It was a warm day but there was plenty of shade along the path. I was glad the dinosaurs did not move since that likely would have scared my boys. It was not crowded so we didn't feel rushed. Overall we enjoyed the afternoon and learned a lot about dinosaurs.

By saver1 |

it was fun..educational.. exciting... learn about dinosaur..dig for fossils..go mining.. see shows.. walk thru nature

By blountmatthew1 |

Driven by this place 100 times and I’ve always wanted to go here. Was finally given the chance when my nephew had a birthday party here it was everything that you would imagine a dinosaur themed roadside attraction would be. One of those places that you’ve gotta check out at least once in your life. The fossil dig was pretty cool the kids are allowed to dig up and keep small fossils and shark teeth. There’s also a pretty cool museum which also is one of the only air-conditioned places on the entire property. I would say the only downfall is how extremely hard it gets and the surprising lack of shade or fans. Other than that it’s a great place for kids and adults!

By Jeff H |

We took our 3 year old Grandson to see the dinosaurs, we thought it would pass a few minutes of the weekend We was wrong we spent several hours walking the trails letting him play on the kid sized playground.

By Amy H |

We took our daughter on 19th June for her 3rd birthday, she was free of charge after showing proof of her birthday. We had a great morning, she loved the dinosaur models as did we and her 14 year old sister! Plenty of picnic benches for your own lunch (we had planned to eat in Lakeland after visiting) large gift shop, we bought her some dinosaur goodies. All in all had great fun and would highly recommend.

By Helen G |

My husband and I went to Dinosaur World to see first hand if this would appeal to our grandsons. What a perfect find for us. It is an excellent destination for kids and adults and very kid friendly. It is a well cared for and beautiful habitat filled with wonderful adventures and lots of dinosaurs of all sizes from the tiny to the enormous. There are live shows, hands on activities for kids, helpful and knowledgeable staff members who are present on the grounds to answer questions, and there is lots of learning going on for all ages. We spent hours there and wished we had brought a picnic. The picnic areas are spotless, the playgrounds are totally fun, the hunt for fossils was filled with energetic children. There was fun around every corner. We highly recommend this adventure to all!!

By Shannon F |

We was on our way back home from a very long drive and seen this place and decided to stop and check it out. It was a great idea. I was with two crazy teenage girls who thought I was trying to torture them by stopping to see dinosaurs. However, as you can tell from the pictures they had a blast. There was a lot to see. Not too much to do but look and read about them but it was a good break from being in the car. It was affordable also. I will be taking my younger children soon. If you haven't been Id definitely stop and take a walk around the path!!

It is rare when you find a dog-friendly attraction, and one that involves Dinosaurs…well, we are sold.
This is a large park full of dinosaur sculptures and other creatures that are often thought of as dinosaurs but are not.
While there is always an element of educational experience in these places, I found this place to be really good on the education factor. There are signs in front of every statue to let you know what it is you are looking at, where it was found, the time period, what it ate, etc. It also dispels myths and misconceptions about dinosaurs that you may have learned from movies or TV.
They have a ‘meet the Paleontologist’ cave, where two guys educate kids (and adults) on different aspects of dinosaurs.
There is a section of the park that is dedicated to the carnivorous dinosaurs, and they do not shy away from the brutality and gore of what would have happened. This is very cool, as it is very representational, and unlike what you see at most other parks where the depictions are sanitized.

This is a really cool place to visit, well done, and highly informative.
Grounds are well maintained, and the paths are easy for anyone to walk or stroll down. This is very mobility friendly.
There is plenty of on-site parking and a huge gift shop.

My son had a field trip to Dino world and they had a blast, great park! It was easy to find and great place to bring kids!

By Bob19512014 |

Grandma & Grandpa met our son and his family here. Nice, free, easy parking. We entered thru the gift shop. That is also where we ended. Even with the rain and lightning, everyone had a grand time. We brought our own drinks and snacks so it was not an expensive outing.

My husband and I decided to surprise our 5 year old son with a visit while we were on our Disney vacation. He absolutely LOVES dinosaurs. This place was great!

Most of the exhibit is outside on very clean and well-kept sidewalks. The dinos are amongst the trees to make it seem as if you are walking through an actual Dino world. There are several large maps to help you find your location and navigate.

Our son got to excavate and keep three of his finds, a fun activity that was included in his base ticket. There was also a cute little presentation/show by the "paleontologists." There is a small museum that houses some cool fossils, and at the end, a small experience with an animatronic Dinosaur.

All in all, it was a great experience! Everything was clean, and the staff was helpful and nice. We brought our own sandwiches and ate lunch on one of the many picnic tables spread throughout the park. Our son had a blast! Yes, most of the dinos are not to scale, but for a family of three to get admission for half the price of a single Disney Park ticket, the drive, the experience, and the memories my son made are well-worth it! We will definitely be back!

By lindat131 |

Thoroughly enjoyed Dinosaur world. I think it’s more fun with a child but certainly you can enjoy if you don’t have one, I loved that it was dog friendly.

By jake Y |

My husband and I got to act like kids again. Dinos everywhere!! Beautifully laid out for a stroll. Dinosaurs were a bit kitschy but that was part of the fun. Lots of places to sit and eat too.

By Brad W |

We took an adventure to Dinosaur World for our 4 year old on his birthday. We really didn’t know what to expect other than what we saw from I4 every time we passed by. Since he is in that Dinosaur phase, this stop was a no-brainer. The price is great and the park itself is wonderful for little ones. There is a museum and playground for the kids to learn and play. There is a dinosaur bones digging area and plenty of places to have a birthday or picnic. They encourage bringing your own food and drinks too. No WiFi (you really won’t need it) and the staff is very helpful and polite. There is a gift shop as well. I couldn’t find much about this place when planning this trip but I took a gamble and I’m glad we did.

By Dennis S |

Lots for the kiddies to do. More displays added since last visit. Two criticisms. Pathway doesn't have a logical direction(or it could be I'm stupid). Pets on leashes that are obviously not Service Dogs. I don't want a German Shepherd wrapping its leash around my leg and then walk between my legs. This happened to a friend I was with!

Would have been 5* if they served food, drinks and/or ice cream. It’s Florida. It’s hot. People want/need water (soft drinks) and would spend more time and money for such a feature. Maybe even if they made a deal with a food truck type situation. They do warn you that they don’t serve food or drink on the website but…

Great experience and really worth the time. Staff were all very friendly and experienced (maybe even over educated?? We went down some rabbit holes).

Really nice souvenir shop for kids and adults.

Will be back.

My son had a blast digging for real fossils! Nice park with dinosaurs throughout. Also a playground for kids to blow off some steam.

By Vickie T |

My grandchildren love dinosaurs so went to check this out. The dinosaurs are life size! There is so much to do. Sift through the sand for bones, watch a dinosaur game show, play at the playground plus walk the trails to see every dinosaur imaginable! You can bring a picnic lunch. The kids are asking when we are going back. Reasonable price and great for all ages. Enjoy!

My 4 year old son is a dinosaur fanatic and was completely enthralled by Dinosaur World. So much to see and do.

You could see a lot of thought and research went into the layout, positioning and care of the facility. It was not crowded when we went but there is so much to do in different areas I don't think you'd have any delays or lines if it was.

The playground and fossil dig are two good areas for kids 3 - 8 years old.
It isn't just fun or entertaining, there is quite a bit to be learnt.

We will be back.

I passed this place many times on route 4 but never stopped beause I thought there wasn't much here. Then I got stuck in a traffic jam and thought I spend some time and wait for it to clear. I was impressed to find this a very attractive well groomed and well cared for little theme park. It is run by a Sweedish Family who love Dinosaurs. There is a huge gift shop selling every thing to do with dinosaurs, models, toys, pictures, books
etc.... It is a dinosaur lovers delight. There is a lovely little nature trail to stroll on that is populated with scale size faux dinosaurs.
There are also many species of live birds and other wildlife calling this little park home. If the weather is too hot you can duck in the small museum that features exhibits and fossils. There is a Cave tour that takes place on a limited schedule. You can kill a half day here by bringing a picnic lunch to eat at the covered picnic tables. You won't be paying Disney Prices either.
I payed only $15 for a pleasant afternoon.

Great place to visit for any kiddos that love dinosaurs. There are many different dinosaurs to see and they are placed within an environment that would depict during their existence. Most of the walking paths are shaded by trees which is great on a hot Florida day. There are different picnic areas where you can enjoy some resting time. The gem excavation area was really nice. I felt the bags were overpriced as well as their gift shop but it seems to be really fun for kids and parents alike. The Fossil Dig area was closed during our time, not sure if it will be opening back up. The Museum has nice artifacts and there are some animatronic dinosaurs that are okay for kids. They could really do with an upgrade to be more realistic in my opinion.

It's very easy to get to the location and there is ample parking. We would definitely visit again since my son loves dinosaurs.

A great place for the kids to run and explore and learn something. Our 4 year old and 2 year old loved it. As the 4 year old named the dinosaurs, the 2 year old trailed behind him.

This is a wonderful place to go and take your kids maybe not the real young ones. I would wait till cooler months

By Anna G |

We visited Dinosaur World on a Saturday with two small kids ( 3 and 5). The kids absolutely loved it! the life-size dinosaurs were impressive. The gem finding and fossil digging activities were very entertaining for the little ones. The vegetation was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the playground a lot. I personally loved the layout of it and the overall theme. Very creative and photo-perfect! I was surprised there was no food for sale. There was only a vending machine with beverages. There is a picnic area, but you need to bring your own food.

By Denissa J |

Took my grandson to visit and he had such an amazing time. He is 1 1/2 and was so mesmerized. Every turn he found his favorite dinosaurs. He loved the fossil dog and the entire experience was well worth every dime. A must see.

By Elana R |

We took our two and four your old and they loved it! Prime age for kids I think. They are begging to go back—- way bigger hit than Disney if you can believe it. I loved it as a parent. Very chill vibe. Lots of old Florida kitch and nature. Kids ran around and got out a lot of energy. A win for families with young kids. BYO lunch and do the gem dig too. It was a highlight. All the negative reviews here are confusing me. Maybe it’s not awesome for older kids but if you’re young or young at heart or just like nature it’s a win.

By Ellie Wilk |

I went with my 10 year old nephew and 4 year old niece, they both seemed to enjoy it. Teenagers may get bored, unless they are really into dinosaurs.

By jenasjade |

My husband travels quite a bit and has passed by this attraction on a few occasions. Since the family was visiting Orlando (about an hour away) he wanted to take our dini loving son for a visit. I was pleasantly surprised! we went on a perfect fall day when the temperature and no bugs. The place was well kept, the dinosaurs were static but they were life sized, some being VERY impressive. There is a trail that you follow and can leisurely walk amongst the dinos reading the facts and enjoying time spent together. There is a skeleton garden and exploration cave at the middle of trail. The fossil dig was part of the admission and our son had a nice time with it. There is plenty of seating, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy!

By Teyiona M |

Very educational for all ages. You can do a fossil dig and mine crystals as well. Love how the park incorporated the natural wildlife.

By ejmoller |

We visited with our daughter and two grandsons (7 & 4). This really exceeded my expectations. The kids had a great time, the four year old most of all. The “shows” were very good and the actors quite professional and enjoyable. The statues (for lack of a better word) were quite well done, as the many pictures we took attest. Plenty of places to sit and picnic. A very nice playground for the kids too. Dog friendly and water stations about. Plenty of restrooms. The adults enjoyed as did the kids, but the most fun was had watching the kids. It was enough and not too much. Most of walking area was in shade. The souvenir shop was quite nice and pretty reasonable. I would recommend for any family in the area with kids under 10.

By disney s |

the reviews had me a little worry I was going to waste my time and money. But it was , lots of fun the kids loved the mining , seeing all the different characters was great and we took so many pictures , the fossil collecting could be a little better but besides that it was a great experiences. one tip don't pay for the mining in the front you can get a better deal once inside.

By Charlestontourist58 |

Easy to find right off the interstate. Easy parking. Nice gift shop. Very nice staff. Perfect for our 2 & 5-year-olds and enough to keep the adults interested too. Clean and beautifully maintained park like setting with winding paths through the "rain forest" and dinosaurs in staged setting around every corner. Plenty of information signs about the dinosaurs you are viewing. A few presentations to catch. The archaeologist talk has hands on things for the kids. We didn't catch everything due to the rain but we saw a lot. A couple bucks extra and the kids can "dig" for their own fossil and they get to go home with a tiny bag with a treasure in it. Large playground area just to let loose. Plenty of picnic areas so bring your own food and drink. Bathrooms throughout the park. Wheelchair friendly. The Museum is interesting for the older crowd and has much to read about. Learned a few things I did. A couple animated dinosaurs at the end of the Museum walk. They growl and such. Kids were fascinated by them. They do have rain checks if you miss out on too much due to a long storm. I know we will be back again as it is not too crowded and there is more to see.

Great spot for young children or for adults if passing by. Extremely clean and lush landscaping. Sent 2hrs.

By Frank11177 |

It was perfect for dinosaur loving grandkids. Everything was very clean and the dinosaurs were lifelike and very interesting. The park "paleontologist" excellent and he put on a very good show.

By retrocraze |

Fun day for little ones under 7 or 8, any older and I think it would not entertain as much, unless they are really into dinosaurs. It is nice and shady for the most part since dinosaurs are in a forest scenery (I thought the greenery was very pretty), so makes it an easy walk and not as hot as going to the typical theme parks. Also no lines! At entrance, upgrade to the dig and the panning for gold, these were the highlights for my daughter and we enjoyed seeing her do both. Plan on half day there and that should suffice. I am pregnant so we wanted something low key with not a lot of walking nor heat, but still entertaining for my 6 year old daughter and this was perfect!

By autumnsousa |

My 5 year old and 2 year old LOVED it. Absolutely worth the money. We got a bag of gems, my 5 year old went fossil hunting and even though it was hot, they have fans and misters all around the park. Playing in the water was my 2 year olds favorite part!! Would definitely go back!!

By Bernice S |

If you have little kids they will have fun. They can see a lot of different dinosaurs and the have 2 playgrounds. They have a boneyard for them to play and a fossil areas as well. Overall a nice stop. You spend around 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

By lja5209 |

We are FL residents and have been to DW multiple times. The staff are always nice and professional and normally it’s a great time in a park that isn’t too big. Covid seems to have kiboshed much of the fun.

Their mask rules are nonsensical... on the website it says mask required indoors (which is fine) but when you get there they are also required at the kids play areas and the lucky strike section. I was standing in the play area with only my two children and the security guard (who was very nice and almost apologetic) asked me to pull up my mask. He said while I was on the concrete path it was fine to not wear it but in the mulched play areas, they must be worn. So breathing the same air but being in the mulched area means you need a mask?

We paid extra for our daughter to do the fossil dig and gemstone activity, to get there and find out that the fossil dig is one of 5 exhibits closed. I can take my kids on a nature walk for a lot less money. We won’t be back any time soon.

By ashcatash |

I'd always seen the big dino statues on the side of the road, and I finally got a chance to visit today with my husband for our anniversary. To be honest, I was expecting something pretty cheesy and goofy, but it was actually extremely well done and quite educational.

First we watched a paleontology show, then mined for gems and broke a geode. We walked the many trails looking at enormous dino and mammoth statues, and went in a museum with an impressive display of fossils. I learned a lot - like the dinosaurs that Speilberg called Velociraptors were actually a different breed. He thought kids couldn't pronounce the real name very well, so he switched them.

Overall, the park was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back someday when I have kids of my own.

By Aqua2201 |

We went here with our 3 year old who has recently started taking a lot of interest in dinosaurs. Along with the tickets you could purchase activity for kids for extra $$. They have fossil digging and dino gem excavation which is basically mining for gems. We took the later one and our toddler enjoyed it a lot plus we got to keep the small gemstones. Do know the activities happen until 3pm only so get there early if you want to do both. The park is good with great dinosaur and mammoth sculptures/exhibits.
Its about 20-30 minutes drive from tampa.
They also give you a tour called exploration cave show which includes explaining about paleontology and looking at some fossils. There is an area called boneyard where little ones can take a brush and clean the fossils. It was kind of cool for our toddler to do this activity.
There is no cafeteria so remember to bring your own lunch and have a picnic. They do have vending machines for beverages and maybe a few options for snacks. Do visit the museum and walk till the end where they have created a cool dino exhibit. Our toddler was a little startled but enjoyed it too.
All in all if you have young children this is a good place to visit. The little ones will NOT be bored.

By HooverElaine |

We brought our two year old and he had a great time running around the trails and playing on the playground. We bought a two dollar ticket so he could dig in the sand (fossil dig) for 15 minutes. The attendant was quite rude. Must have been having a bad day!? The museum was closed for cleaning which is odd since they should do that when it closes at 4:30. I was told that happens often. Gem mine was also not running which didn't effect us but another girl was very upset about it. My son didn't notice any of these cons. I would take him again because of the great time he had running on the trails and the playground. Also another plus is the picnic ares were nice and clean!

Well as a resident of Plant City I've watched it come and go from old owners to the new ones .They have worked really hard to make this a better attraction but I have to tell you this would best for kids probably 10 and under .No rides not anything like that and the park is rather small.Me personally-I believe the price is to high so good luck if you go hope you have a good time.

By Aabbie |

Overview:
Parking was good. Ticket prices were fair. Seniors tickets costs less. Variety of life size Dinosaurs shown in their natural wild setup along with some plants from Dinosaur era. Small museum tour showing real dinosaur bones etc was awesome. Plenty of Picnic tables under the shade. Children play area for kiddos. Other activities such as Gem mining, finding bones and interaction with paleontologists(i think those guys were really paleontologists). Tour start and end at gift shop. This does deserve atleast one visit if you are in Tampa or maybe in Orlando area or passing by.

Concern:
Only concern was that this attraction is next to a highway with constant humm sound coming from vehicles.

Tips:
You will need 3-4 hours to visit this attraction.
Come early and beat crowds and heat.
Washrooms and vending machines available. (Not a lot of walking).

Dinosaur World is a very casual, relaxed place to spend 2-3 hours with young children. It has wooded areas with paths and lots of shade to take an enjoyable walk while learning about dinosaurs of all types and shapes in life size proportions. A favorite area for my grandchildren is the Boneyard. This area is an oversized sandbox under a roof with seating for parents.

The park does not have a concession stand but guests are welcome to bring their own food. There are several picnic tables. There is a nice souvenir shop with a great variety of dinosaur items at reasonable prices.

Year passes are available at fair prices. I live 20 minutes away and it is a great place to take the grandchildren to play. The playground is very nice. The park is well maintained and clean. The staff is friendly.

By Sharde |

If your kid loves dinosaurs you made it, it’s essentially a trail in a circle back around and the statues are huge, I personally wish some would move or there would be some sort of interactive features, but once you enter you’re welcomed by a little park and two areas where your child can dig for fossils and the other is for gem mining. It was cute

By jmashgirl |

Wow! Just WOW! My family was pleasently surprised with this gem of an activity. My boys are ages 5 and 9 and they loved this park.

We took a break from the larger parks in Orlando and drove to Dinosaur World in Plant City and I am so glad we did. It was worth the drive. I have heard that some people did not like this park because of the simplicity. I believe that is is what made the park so wonderful! I liked the calming and peaceful atmosphere. I feel like my family had so much fun walking the trails and talking to each other. The landscaping was amazing. The employees were very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. There are plenty of activities for the children to do (fossil finding, gem finding, and outdoor play area, sand box). The bathrooms were some of the cleanest public restrooms I have ever seen. This is not an all day event. I would plan on staying here about 3 hours.

My only complaint is the mosquitos in the trail area. Bring bug spray! We had to buy bug repellent bracelets in the gift shop and it cost us $10. The did work though - no more mosquito problems!

By Amanda C |

My 4 year old had the time of his life running through the "jungle" and seeing his favorite dinosaurs. Also the ability to dig for fossils was great as well. I was a little disappointed there were no actual rides here, I thought there would at least be a few, but it's more walking, sight seeing, playing/digging type of place. Definitely a great stop on your way to Disney if you need to stop for a few hours and stretch your legs- or if you have a super dinosaur lover, like I have haha. 😎

By Cindy B |

We took our granddaughter to visit the dinosaurs. She loved it, she is four. You can dig for fossils, rocks and sharks teeth, she had so much fun. They also have a mining area where they get to mine for rocks, she also loved that. The only are we didn't enjoy was the Cave area where they talked about fossils and the different dinosaurs. It was hot, loud and hard to hear what was going on. We would skip that area next time. There was a trivia show but she would have been to young to enjoy that area so we skipped it. They offer drink machines but no food available there. I did notice you can have birthday parties there and reserve picnic tables near the play grounds.

When we were leaving she wanted to know when we could come back.

By Luv2TravelNEGirl |

I wasn’t sure what to expect at this place and have always seen it driving by on our way from Tampa to Orlando. When I found out we get half off with our mosi membership I figured we would check it out. It was an enjoyable day. Staff was really nice and helpful. My son had the “wow factor” response to first seeing the big dino replicas but quickly got less interested in them. But that was ok cause there are other things to do. They have a nice playground. One side is better for the little ones and the other for big kids. They have an indoor museum with a few animatronics and some fossil displays. There is also a fossil dig site which is an extra cost but my toddler enjoyed it. It was very busy at the 12pm time (it is a scheduled event so plan accordingly) not sure if all the times are that busy or just more so at noon or because it was a holiday so maybe just a busier day in general. But there are plenty of fossils for all and each child is only allowed to leave with 3. They are small pieces but my son thought the tooth he found was cool. They also have a mining area that costs extra. You get a bag of dirt and sift through it in the water and pick out the gems you see. My toddler really loved this but it is a high extra cost. But you can get a small bag of dirt as low as $7 I believe it was then it goes up from there. We did a middle of the road cost-wise one and found several gems. You get to keep the gems and a identification card to know what gems you found. So a nice souvenir and fun experience. You can pay for it right at the mining location rather than upon entry at the gift shop so that way you can see more of what it is and what you get for the cost. I was a little confused just reading about it on the sign while paying for admission. They also had a machine that cracks your own geodes which was also an extra cost and we did not do this. They have a dino game show at certain times but we did not do this since I thought my son sounded too young to enjoy it. My toddler really loved the boneyard dig site which is an area where kids can use brushes to uncover bones and was included with admission. The cave paleontologist show was not something that my toddler would behave for since he has a very little attention span but it sounded informative and interesting for a little bit older kids from what I got to hear before leaving. Other than that it’s lots of walking around a natural exhibit with boardwalks and waterways (there are places you can get fish food to feed the fish for .25) and lots of large dino models with placards giving information about the Dino’s. If your kid is a dino lover they will love it and if not it’s still a decent outing for a family to spend time together outside. There’s also a huge souvenir shop and lots of picnic tables to eat your lunch. We packed a lunch since they do not have a place to get food on the premises, just some packaged snacks at the gift shop. We went on a nice cooler day in January which was perfect cause I imagine in the summer in the Florida heat and humidity walking there would be brutal since it’s 90% outdoors. Although there is a lot of shaded areas. Overall better experience than I expected and we are glad we checked it out.

By Mareen P |

We had a great time exploring the grounds. The kids were able to dig for fossils and go on a cave tour.

By JenCat20 |

We visited with discount tickets and had a great time. The dinosaurs had just been cleaned and they looked great. The shows are so much fun for the kids and they really do make it a great place to spend a half day. There is a show in the TRex make sure to stay for a special surprise!

My 6 year old son had his birthday at Dinosaur World. What a great choice All in attendance loved it

By Alesa M. |

My husband loves everything about dinosaurs and had been wanting to check this place out ever since we moved to Florida in December 2018. Well, a year later and we finally found our way to this place. The grounds are very well kept and the statues are entertaining. They also have a really interesting museum with extra information about the fossils. Overall, we probably will return. Also, active duty military get free admission year round and according to their website direct dependents get $1 off of general admission.

By TheAdventureTravelGuide |

I had driven by this places dozens of times and rolled my eyes. But when my nephews wanted to go, I did. And I was pleasantly surprised. They were 5 and 8 years old and had a blast. It wasn't bad for the adults either. There were plenty of interactive areas and we all learned a lot about dinosaurs.

By SunAndBeachSeekers |

We went with family that was in town and it included our two nephews, ages 6 and 10. We were very pleasantly surprised. Great facility that is very well kept up. Lots to do. We ended up being there for 4 hours and could have stayed longer. Much larger than what you would expect from looking at the outside. Even the four adults really enjoyed this.

They do allow you to bring food in and there are several picnic table areas in the shade. Check the schedule before you go as far as the free activities they offer. Our nephews really enjoyed the fossil dig.

Great time and highly recommend.

By Kristan J |

Not all of the exhibits and activities are able to be open due to COVID-19, but we were very impressed with the cleanliness! Everything was nicely landscaped and well maintained.

By Christina L |

My 5 year old had a blast! The playground was very nice and clean, and had lots of picnic tables nearby. The dinosaur statues were neat, and each had a plaque nearby with the name of the dinosaur and information about it. The indoor museum had fossils to look at and some animatronic dinosaurs at the end. My son enjoyed the museum so much we went through it twice. The gem mining cost extra but it was worth it. The fossil dig was also fun- my son found a few shark teeth.

By Daniel C |

Dinosaur World is different from other dinosaur parks because the jungle environment makes it look like you are actually back in time. Some statues might need to be repainted, but to me, it doesn't matter. I still like the designs of each creature, even though some might not be realistic. This park is a good place to spot nature, too.

By Skip W |

We took our 5 yr. old son to Dinosaur World and he didn't want to leave!!! It was an excellent family outing. Very reasonable in pricing. Plenty of picnic tables for lunch. On this visit to Grandma's house we took him here, Legoland, and WDW, and when asked what his favorite place was, he said, Dinosaur World, then Legoland. Not joking!

By jttravelstheworld |

My son loves dinosaurs so this was a can't miss opportunity. It was pretty cool to see the dinosaurs in the forest scattered around the park. There are activities for the kids and there are paleontologists working in the park to guide some of the discussions and answer questions, so I thought that was pretty neat. They do not serve any food or drink inside the park (there are soda vending machines) so don't come here too hungry.

By rufinova |

I got really interesting of this place, as it looks unusual, not in every park you can see dinosaurs.
So there are a lot adventures:
1. Free parking
2. You can walk with dogs 🐕 in this park ( there is no any additional charge for this service)
3. There are many different dinosaurs 🦕 🦖

By Allison D |

We took the kids here for a field trip for my daycare and it just wasn't as good as excpcted. first of all this is florida, and an attraction you would go to in the summer and there was only like ONE water fountain, our kids were dehydrating. also, its mostly just dino statues, nothing awesome. the coolest part was the kids get to dig for "fossils" and keep them.

By Litl Miracles P |

Its a bit hokey, but a well loved place that as been there FOREVER. A landmark of sorts. Off the beaten path a bit, but right near an exit, and a lot of love has gone into this place. Keep in mind its a mom and pop sort of place, a tourist attraction BETWEEN major cities. We have cows, starwberries and we have dinosaurs. Beat that one Orlando!

By Pauline B |

We called here on the way from Orlando to the coast, a nice 2 hour stop off, we had lunch at the winery 1 mile down the road, okay food.

By AdrienneJsk |

Took our 2.5 & 1yr olds and they had a blast! A nice easy walk for kids to get energy out while looking at some cool dinosaurs. Ended the day with playing at the park after having our lunch. I don’t understand the bad reviews; were people shocked the dinosaurs were fake? The only thing I can say is I wish they had a nice green space to sit near the play areas. It’s shaded picnic tables on concrete so not really the best for littles that want to crawl around. Otherwise it was great! We upgraded to annual passes so we can bring the kids a few more times and after a couple of visits it pays for itself. If you have an imagination, love dinosaurs (and have realistic expectations) you likely will enjoy it.

By gary s |

My six year old is a huge dinosaur fan, so this was a must! A great day out was had here.
Plenty of parking, clean toilets, ample shaded picnic tables, and of course lots and lots of dinosaur statues.
Bring a picnic, as no food is sold on site. Drinks available via vending machines.
A fossil dig in a sandpit is included for the little ones, with the chance to take home a few favourites. There is also a short talk which gives a nice background of information for the kids.
Every staff member we encountered was marvellous! One lady made quite a fuss of our boy, which he loved.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this attraction, it really is great for families with little kids.

By skipandlulu |

Think the Flintstones and B movies about prehistoric times and you will be in the right mindset for Dinosaur world! We loved it. The property is hidden off a side road so it jumps out at you when you first see it. Some of Florida's roadside attractions have seen better days...not Dinosaur Land! The park is immaculate, everything is in great condition with a very well stocked gift shop and other amenities for the travelers. It is worth the time to get off the freeway and wander the back roads. Thanks for making us smile!

By marybeil |

Visited as a way to entertain my 3 yo and 7 yo while waiting out a hurricane on the east coast. What kid doesn't love dinosaurs? However, it was pricy for the 3 of us for what you get. A walk in a beautiful park with life size dinosaurs. We also did the fossils dig (girls only got to keep three very small fossils) and listen to a paleontologist talk about different types of dinosaurs. No food provided, but you are aloud to bring your own. Over all a good experience.

By JimsGem |

This is a great place for younger children. Any child over eight or nine would probably be bored in a short time. I do think that having the dinosaurs in the museum roar is not a good idea for younger children. Everyone of my grandchildren were frightened by it. I would recommend this place to any parent or grandparent, but look for specials as it is a bit expensive if you have more than one child over three.

By BeenThereGoingSoon |

You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy this park. The place is amazing. The dinosaurs look real in their settings. There is enough to do in a day, but not so much that it tires you out. Bring the kids and enjoy this natural place. You can bring your own lunch and have a picnic as they do not serve food.

By RayJ383 |

This is a great place!
I was not expecting to enjoy our visit. I thought it would be a throw back to the "Olde time" Florida attractions.
Shame on me!
Dinosaur World is interesting, very well maintained and thoughtfully landscaped.
From the gift shop through the children's playground and into the park itself we enjoyed every minute. The staff are very friendly and professional.
The heat got to us after a while so we're going back again in the fall.
Even if you're not into dinosaurs the park is worth taking a leisurely stroll through.

By plumbeatrice |

This attraction is of the type we folks don't see anymore. We have been visiting with our children and grandchildren for years. There is a huge sign and two Tyranosaurases along the highway...they "announce" the place. Exit the highway here, and, park in the sizable lot. You enter through the gift shop. Fee is very reasonable and well worth the visit. Inside, there is a world forgotten. Giant Dino's "wander" through a natural habitat (park). You follow the paths to see some of the most incredible Dino's of prehistoric times. There are activities for the kids ( although the attraction is not just for them). They can be part of a "dig" and may find a pice of prehistoric bone or petrified wood. There is a water sleuce activity (small fee) where children can "pan" for prehistoric rocks and bones. The attendant will explain their findings and bag them for safe keeping. The museum follows a timeline of the actual Dinos and is well worth a look. These are only a few of the the treasures you might find here. Don't get the idea it's only for kids! Its magic will make you a huge fan. Don't miss it!

By Lori S |

Teenager and 6 year old really enjoyed fossil dig, gold panning and running away from the dinosaurs (who didn’t move). Lots of nice walking paths.

By Dickie M |

Super clean and friendly informative staff. I'm 66 and I enjoyed it. Great for kids. Only downside is that the poor dinosaurs have to listen to I-4 traffic all day. Put it on your list.

By Kendra H |

This place is definitely worth a trip if you have (young) dinosaur enthusiasts in your family.
We bought the excavation ticket for our daughter (6yo) which includes a train ride (at least one adult must also purchase a ticket for this at full price, though), a fossil dig with 3 included, and a gem sifting bag. She enjoyed these extra activities and they rounded out the visit with some added interactivity. There is also a playground, very small splash pad, very small mini golf course (which is free due to it being tiny) and museum (although we didn't go in here due to my daughter finding animatronics very intimidating). The outdoor dinosaur walk-through was great! The boardwalk is clean and well-maintained and fits into the landscape well. The dinosaur statues are huge and very impressive with bright paint and descriptive signs.

We stayed about 2 hours and easily saw everything we were interested in. You could probably spend longer here with very young children or adults who wanted to read every sign. It was a great activity for a morning session before it got too hot. You won't regret visiting!

By james1972 |

Well worth the extra for the dino gems as our two little ones (6 and 4) enjoyed that. The staff are friendly and welcoming, some of the dinosaurs look a bit tired but all in all well worth a visit with under 10's. Probably not suited to older kids.

By HiThisIsMyHair |

This place is so clean and the staff is super nice. It's basically a winding trail with dinosaurs along the way. The statues are very well kept and some are even in battle with other dinos. Each has a plaque summarizing each dino. Theres several interactive thing to do like a fossil dig, and species puzzles. The playgrounds are very nice and they recently added an awning that makes the playground more bearable during the summer. There is a small museum of animated dinos. Dog friendly (except in the museum) and have plenty of water spouts for dogs. No concessions, only vending machines. You are allowed to carry in your own food and drinks. My 7yo and 4yo are obsessed with this place!

We had a great time. The boys loved it here. We ate lunch and made a day of it here. It's a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. The boys want to come again

For Fathers day we went to Dinosaur World off of Interstate 4. When traveling I-4 everyone passes this place and the majority I'm sure say maybe someday we will go to this park. It's clean, informative and a fun visit. Store has lots of items for children & adults. No Food, but there is picnic tables, No Rides which is fine... But Lots of Dinosaurs as you walk through the park. They do have programs for birthday parties. Thus mostly for little kids, but I enjoyed it as a Senior Kid.

I thought this place was gonna be a nice little place to take my son, boy was I wrong. I loved it. he did too. it's way bigger than I expected. I would like to see the animatronics to be a little larger but the scope of the attraction is cool. it's a good walk with the family, unplugged, and conversing, eating a picnic lunch, chilling. no rushing no lines watching kids (and adults) marvel at these displays. I will return to this attraction.

We were pleasantly surprised! We were expecting a run down tourist trap, but the place is immaculate! The grounds are really well kept and everything was super clean. Unfortunately parts of it were closed due to COVID, but we still had a great time with our 3 year old. He really enjoyed sifting through the sand to find the gems. We will definitely be returning, hopefully when everything is open!

If your wanting an enjoyable day out away from the hustle and bustle of the larger parks try dinosaur world. The children, a boy aged 6 and girl 8, loved it. We took a picnic and ate at the many tables provided. There are interactive attractions, loads of lifetime models hidden around ever corner, there is a children's play area,a museum and a shop where things don't cost an arm and a leg. The family left feeling happy and refreshed after a slower paced day out.

This place really exceeded my expectations. Lots of hands on activities for kids like geods, fossil digs, and cave exploring. There are outdoor dinos, an indoor interactive museum, and big playgrounds. Everything is well taken care of and manicured. Gift shop is massive and stocked. Could pretty easily spend an entire day here.

I was a bit skeptical at first. We went anyway. It was a super relaxing time. I enjoyed the walking and reading about the different dinosaurs and where they were found. Yes, adults enjoy it along with children.

Spent a couple of hours walking around the paths, learning facts about dinosaurs and playing on the playground with our grandson. The bathrooms and other areas are clean. You are welcome to bring food (no onsite concessions) and use their picnic tables in the shade. Fun activities for the kids and a nice gift shop. We bought the annual pass for $35...well worth it!

I have driven by this attraction for years and never thought much of it. However, during the Covid-19 time, we were looking for things to do so we took a trip to Dinosaur World. We were absolutely blown away by both how big the property was and how dinosaurs were actually out for our kids to see. The place is so well maintained and we felt safe in regards to the overall guest count (Covid-19 related). We will be back many more times as my son talks about it all the time!

Went to Dino World on a Monday with a sassy 10 yr old boy. The dinosaur fiberglass sculptures were a tad hokey but we actually enjoyed the variety of dinosaur types and little plaques about each dino. The paleontologists who talk through the dig and excavation process were good (Go Stevo!). Spent just about 2 hours but would have been more if our boy was young enough to want to play on the playground. Pay the extra for the excavation package for the kid. Rock panning was fun and we god a lot more cool rocks than expected, more than at other places we've done that kind of activity. Gift shop was huge and prices were fair, even bought myself a hand blown pendant necklace priced very reasonably. Would go again with any other family members visiting the area. Google for discount coupon...I was able to find about $3.00 off per person by prepaying on a Tampa tourist site

This was much better than I expected. Overall, it is well maintained. There were a few parts that were closed, but I didn't feel like we missed out on anything. I would go back!

So this place is pretty simple. It's got a dinosaur playground, tons of large dinosaur statues, and ~3 interactive exhibits. The staff was great. If you've got a small child who is obsessed with Dinosaurs, this place is amazing. If you don't, this place would be pretty lame. Over a year later my five year old still asks to go back, she loved it, so I loved it.

Our LO is 3 yrs old and loves everything dinosaurs. We were excited to find this gem during our travels to another resort. A short drive and we arrived to a beautifully clean and well-landscape park. The statutes are well-kept and entertaining. My LO enjoyed the fossil dig, bone dig, and toddler play area. There is also a bigger kids play area too! Some TA reviewers felt it was a bit overpriced but I guess it’s relative. We’ve paid more for park entrance fees and received much less. Our LO was genuinely thrilled and excited!

While we have been to Dinosaur World multiple times before now, this was my first time as a chaperone to an area school's field trip with the kindergarten class.

Let me say, I was extremely impressed with the ability of the facility to handle a hundred children ranging from 4 to 6 years old while providing education.

There is a huge bus area for loading and unloading, and, while we only needed 2 school buses, it made it very nice to have a designated spot to do so. This gave us time to put everyone in lines and make sure we had the lunch coolers.

While in line, the staff went through and gave everyone wristbands to facilitate entry, and several staff members engaged the kids and adults alike with humor and knowledge.

Upon entry, we did have times for activities, such as the fossil dig, Exploration Cave, and Triviasaurus Rex. Each of these were designed with children in mind, so none of them, excepting the trivia, took more than 5-10 minutes each, thereby keeping the kids engaged. The fossil dig allowed them to keep up to 3 finds, and Exploration Cave let the kids see and touch actual fossils. I'm positive this was a once in a lifetime experience for some of them. Triviasaurus was a very good "test" of knowledge, complete with an animatronic dinosaur.

One of the smaller playgrounds was undergoing renovation, but the larger playground easily supported everyone climbing, jumping, sliding, swinging, running, and screaming, with no injuries, and the attached lunch area didn't cause any friction points during lunch.

At no time was the staff "hovering" providing minute-by-minute instructions; they let the kids explore on their own and make their own discoveries.

I was impressed before, and this just confirms the facility as one of the area's best-kept secrets. For having giant dinosaurs just off of I-4, that is.

This is the perfect place for a 2 year old that is in love with dinosaurs. Plenty of things to see and the animatronic dinos were super cool!

I took my sons here while we were staying in Tampa over Spring Break. Wow! This place is very clean, well kept, the staff is nice and knowledgable about dinosaurs, and there is a huge playground at the end. After all the crowded places we went in Tampa, it was nice to go somewhere that wasn't insanely crowded and enjoy it. The cave tour was probably the best part for us. We'd love to do it again sometime!

We have passed by this dinosaur off the highway for years. Finally took the grandsons. They loved it. Inexpensive, lots to see, interactive. Great place. Make sure you bring snacks and water. Really a great gem in Plant City.

By Dwayne M |

This is a great for kid. It is in a great place and their is lots to do,I would come back They have a sop to

By Ed L |

What a delightful visit this was. And it was the least stressful theme park we have ever visited. Our kids are all under the age of 9, and it was perfect. Lots of kinds of things to do. Not too crowded. No pressure to buy food or gifts - they encourage pick-nicking - and we did. Nice playground. The staff treated us well. I would say the age range for this place was 2-9. We did the whole park with a lunch break in 3.5 hours.

If your kids are 2-9 and you don’t want to spend a lot of money, this place was fun. All the huge dinosaurs are delightful.

Pulling into the parking lot our 3 yr old grandson shouted "That's a Triceratops! That's my favorite dinosaur, that's my favorite dinosaur!!" That's how the day went. Many more dinosaur statues than I ever expected in the Florida jungle/gardens. Beautiful setting, dinosaurs displayed well. No food on site but they allow bringing food and enjoying the several playgrounds and picnic areas. In the 95 degree heat, we took advantage of this a couple of times. If you come in summer, bring water. It was a thrill to participate in the fossil dig and keep three authentic fossils. The fossil museum was quite interesting, especially the animatronic dinosaurs at the end, though their roar was a little frightening for the 3 yr old. One part of the walk displayed several dinosaurs eating others and I heard several comments from kids about the blood. Could be frightening for some little ones. The gift shop had a great selection of souvenirs including the usual T-shirts and tourist things, but also authentic fossils that were fascinating. My recommendation to Dinosaur World would be to install more misting stations throughout the park.

Clean, orderly, well maintained, awesome staff - great fun for the kids who are in awe of dinosaurs. Our party was ages 2 through 90! All of us enjoyed the 3 or 4 hours we spent there. The day started off with a fossil dig for the kids who were allowed to keep 3 fossils they found in the sand.
There are life sized dinosaurs everywhere and each has a plaque with the name and interesting facts about each dino. There are lots of great views of authentic looking dinosaurs for the kids and one display shows dinosaurs in a fight, and the results of the fight - gory - BUT there is a warning sign if you don't want your kids to see that - thanks to that sign, you can avoid it if you'd like. There is a fun game show that you can participate in. There is an educational show that engages the audience and is lots of fun. There is a huge dinosaur dig the kids can take their shoes off, and get in the huge display and brush off the sand and guess which dino it is under the sand. Very nice picnic areas all through the park...and and awesome playground that is well maintained and lots of fun for the kids... along with a couple of museums we did not have time to visit. There are lots of picnic areas through the park, but we didn't realize it. I highly recommend this - it was money and time well spent.

Had my children's birthday here! Lots of shade, fun things for the kids to do - Dinosaur Egg Hunt, Fossil Find, play ground, shaded and covered picnic area. Clean and beautifully landscaped.

I surprised my 8 yr daughter with an afternoon trip to the other "DW" in Florida! She/we loved it. We drive down from Jacksonville & when she saw the t-rex along I4, her face lit up!! We spent about 2 - 2.5 hrs here. We missed 2 or 3 of the show's since we didnt arrive until 2pm. The gem mining is fun & I purchased a geode for my daughter "slice" open st the gem mining station. she was thrilled. The dino dig was so so in my daughter's opinion. We could have passed on that, good for younger kiddos. The park doesn't offfer/sell food, but has tables for you to bring food in. They do sell drinks via machines. The walk through the "swamp" to see the dinosaurs is nice. They offer a little info plaque on each species. Over all, not a bad place. Just only a few hours to walk through it. So have something else planned before or after your visit.

This is a great place for kids and adults alike especially if you love dinosaurs. The recreations are amazing, the cave has an actual paleontologist who gives a presentations about fossils, the museum has some informative artifacts and a pleasant surprise when existing. They have a germ dig and fossil dig if you pay the uncharge which is $18, the kids loved it.There is a huge playground for kids under 12, there is plenty of picnic tablets enclosed in a 2 different sheds, there is vending machines throughout the park which takes cash only (exact amount which is $2 for drinks (coke products no water )and $1 for pringles chips). Drink plenty of fluids because it is all outdoors except the museum, you are allowed to bring food and drinks (but no food in the cave area). Half the park is in a jungle type setting. The souvenir shop has plenty of offerings and there is an ATM inside if you need cash. It is conveniently located off of I4 in between Tampa and Orlando but closer to Tampa area.

We took our grandsons ages 5 and 7 here this summer and they loved it! We were impressed with all the life-sized Dinosaurs around the property to view and the ones that actually moved! The boys loved the fossil find in the sand and they were especially excited to be able to pick 3 to take home with them. Another area had a large dinosaur under sand they had to find by brushing sand to find the whole skeleton. They also enjoyed shaking for gems in the water trough. That one cost extra but it was worth it. We loved that we could take a picnic lunch to eat to get out of the sun for awhile. All in all, a great place to have fun and learn about dinosaurs.

Took my daughter and two grandsons to this wonderful dinosaur park. My 3-year old grandson was beyond fascinated and excited to see the wide variety of dinosaurs in various settings within the park. They did the fossil mining (for gems) and fossil dig (for bones and sharks teeth) for a minimal cost. The park also has free activities for the children, whisk away sand to discover dinosaur bones and other hands on activities. The gentleman at one of the hands Ins stations was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great facts with the visitors. They have a ‘birthday party’ pavilion if you’re looking to have a birthday party with your little adventurer. There’s a playground - two areas, a koi fish pond (currently no fish in the pond I’m assuming due to freezing temps) and a small splash pad that was block off for the season. We will definitely be returning.

Once we found it, it was enjoyable but our GPS took us way out of the way to get there.
It's quite pleasant, mostly outdoors so, weather could be a problem.
Plenty of dinosaurs and plenty of exhibitions with lots to read. Lost of walking but in a very pleasant environment.
Best suited for the under 12 crowd.

By Jessica N |

The walking tour is pretty cool, but reminded me of a rest stop. I don't believe I'd pay that much to go again, but for a one time stop on the way to the beach from Disney, maybe. It was mothers day so I got in free, which made it much better. There are no food options within the "park" and only a subway in a gas station down the road. The gift shop is big, but nothing to make me want to buy anything...It's not an area I'd spend much time in otherwise.

Took my 5 and 7 year old granddaughters here on a day trip and didn't know what to expect! This is a wonderfully magic place-took me back to my childhood when this was the prevalent type of Florida roadside attraction.! They ran and played and used lots of energy. Some exhibits and activities (such as the fossil dig) were closed due to COVID, but the playground was great fun for them as was strolling along the paths and looking at the dinos. They are lifesize so HUGE! Great activity for children into dinos or who love the outdoors! They were quite excited about 'panning' for treasure. Interesting museum too! Ultra clean throughout and picnic areas scattered throughout the park! They loved the little bag of fossils given at admission. Very large gift shop with a variety of cool items!

This is an amazing place for small children who love dinosaurs and have a great imagination. And I loved it too for a day of fun.

Brought my 2.5 and 1.5 year old children. They had a great time playing and looking at the dinosaurs. My 2.5 hasn't stopped roaring. Every employee was friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Very nice place especially if you have young children. It was close to the Hampton Inn hotel in Plant City, so I decided to visit and I was very impressed.

By bso54 |

Took the 2 grandkids here last week and I had as much fun as they did! I was SO impressed. This place is sterile-ly clean, everything is kept up to perfection, there is a clear sense of pride by the staff in the quality of this place. The 2 shows we attended were cute and fun.

Best of all:
- there are NO lines like at Disney

- NO crowds like at Disney

- NO outrageous prices like at Disney

- NO fee for parking like at Disney

- NO entitled parents and triple wide strollers used as battering rams like at Disney.

If you are a kid at heart and sick of Disney, this is the place for you for a day of fun and light hearted humor and a bunch of dinosaurs.

By stefernie1234 |

This place is great for younger kids since it is full of standstill dinosaur statues. They have two dino-themed playgrounds (one for younger and one for older kids). I have been many times and even on the busiest days, it is still a calm and peaceful trip. Walk around the park, take your time, no lines. Just enjoy being outside and letting the kids get excited to see the dinos! There is no food for purchase in the park so pack a lunch. There also isn't fast food close by off the interstate, so plan accordingly. Also, the gift shop is huge and priced well! We love this place!
