This place really surprised me. Not 100% sure what I was expecting, but I can say I was really surprised. The place is really, really well done and just beautiful. It only takes an hour at most taking your time. So it’s small, but perfect even during a rainy day or when you need to take a short break from life and see what one man can accomplish.

This rec center reminds me of a WW II era museum. It houses lots of military memorabilia that families have donated. Be sure to go through the meeting rooms as they are filled with items.

As a Veteran it is outstanding. Many military items. A lot of information on Presdent Eisenhower.. must see when you are at The Villages.

This place is the dream place for anyone in the military or who knows anyone in the military..so full of information and pictures,,so relaxing and fun to see and visit

Outstanding especially for Veterans! Rec Ctr displays artifacts from just about every conflict that USA engaged. Note the captured Japanese flag from WWII. Lots of Vietnam era artifacts. Uniforms on display belonged to veterans that live in The Villages. A must see if visiting The Villages.

Residents of The Villages have donated military memorabilia to decorate the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center. It is truly like a museum - with military uniforms, old war-time correspondence and newspapers, personal documents and photographs. It is very interesting and well worth a visit.

Great exhibits add to the character of a beautiful building. Allow time to stop and read the information on exhibits from WW1 through today.

This center is a tribute to America's Heroes - the men and women who have served our country in the military and made our country the best in the world. My favorite display is the flag of Japan that was captured and signed by the men who captured it during WWII. It appears that the decorations were all donated by individuals unselfish enough to share them with all! The Eisenhower Center also has rooms that The Villagers use for many of the various activities available to people who live in The Villages. It's a must see on a visit!

Stopped in with 10yo daughter and 7yo son. Spent about a half hour walking around looking at pictures, documents, ship and plane models, and lots of uniforms. All branches of the military are represented.

History through memoribilia contributed by the residents. No place like it. Absolute gems. Artifacts from air man shot down over Germany and, held captive. Japanese flag captured on Iwo Jima signed by the survivors of that platoon. Dozens and dozens of war time pieces from WW1 through Gulf War. Many items unique only to this place. It should have a brochure that more completely describes each item.

Beautiful presentation of what it means to be an American and a Veteran. It takes more than one visit to see it all. When I visit I feel humble and thankful for all those men and women

This regional rec center is not to be missed. It is beautifully decorated - check it out at Christmas time! A lot of the military treasures & memorabilia was donated by people here in The Villages. It is really very interesting. Allow at least 30 mins if not longer to peruse all the rooms. Not to be outdone, the active exercise classes held there are fun, fun, & fun. Come as a Village resident or as a guest, you won't be disappointed.

Patriotic and do well fine. Uniforms on display I understand we’re donated by former military members. mementos from their life in uniform.
There is a large hall where dance lessons and parties are held.

Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center in The Villages, Fl, is amazing from the minute you approach outside with the Armed Forces Memorials to inside the building from the floors to the ceiling. Many families donated war memorabilia that is displayed on the walls and will bring tears to your eyes. And in typical Villages style the decor is photo worthy. It is an experience not to be missed.

Beautiful tribute to our military. Like a museum. Every American would enjoy all the displays some dating back to the Civil war.

Went over to Eisenhower Rec Center on a rainy day for something to do. I was truly impressed by the memorabilia and artifacts. A great collection and a great tribute to those who fought and help defend this great country of ours.

Very nice place to visit. A lot of old pictures and memorabilia from the Villages residents that were donated. A must see.

What a Honor to all of those who served and are serving the country. Lots of military history on display. My younger kids were really impressed. As was I.
Nice place to relax and get out of the Florida heat.

Wonderful history of WWII , in the Brownwood area of TheVillages. Easy access from US301 and Florida 44a.

An exceptional collection of WE II memorabilia... mostly donated by people who live in the Villages. Very nicely done, easy to follow, and a good capture of what life was like if you were a Soldier in WW II. Don’t pass it by ... you might learn something!

Of all the recreational centers in the Villages, Eisenhower is the best. The military memorabilia is impressive and knowing that most of it was donated by veterans in the Villages makes it special. Don’t miss visiting it.

What makes this recreation center so much different than any of the dozen other centers is that most all of the decorations are donated by the residents of The Villages. Each item represents the sacrifices of all our military. It is not a museum but a living reminder of the cost of freedom. The staff are professional and assist The Villages residents in meeting their recreational needs. The center, including restrooms, are always well maintained. Thanks to the staff and volunteers that so well maintain this tribute to America and it's people.

One is hit first by the service uniforms looking down at you as you enter the foyer. The many personal pictures on the walls of service men and women during WW2 are exceptional. I loved seeing the original painting of Eisenhower's! Did not like that they showed his WW2 girlfriend's picture nearby. Why? It was WAR. Very clean beautiful center.

This place is a definite must to see. The whole place is full of US Military memorabilia all collected from The Villages, FL veterans. When I first walked in I could not believe what I saw, every room is full of photos, documents, uniforms from all branches of the services.

Every imaginable tribute to Eisenhower and our military . Local contributors, with footnotes, and interesting military type items.

This place was very impressive of all the Details of Photo's of went on in our History. This included from the beginning to current. The person who did this was quite a photographer and it is quite a site to see!

Absolutely beautiful and well appointed. Corvette club was there with their beautiful cars.
To make it more interesting they have a nice display of my former home - The USS Eisenhower CV-69!

Anyone visiting the Villages should go here, and they should all take their grandchildren. This is a magnificent collection of donated materials by people who have served our country. It is heartwarming, patriotic, and inspirational. Very beautifully designed.

Probably the best show place in The Villages. Lots of history when you walk through this place. Of all the Rec centers I think this one is the most impressive.

Interesting knowledge. Some of the stories you read hits the heart. I recommend visiting and taking the time to view all the details.

It was very fun stopping by here to see the wonderful facility and the activities. The history of the place makes it a quasi museum visit for those who love history.

One of the many wonderfuly decorated recreation centers in The Villages,Fl.
The Eisenhower depicts our military history in a great way. We always take guests to see this building.

The historical displays of American Presidential memorabilia is excellent and the patriotic decor is inspiring. We also enjoy the recreational activities and the cleanliness of the facility. My wife and I are both swimmers and enjoyed the use of the lap pool. Motel pools are never designed for lap swimming and we find this pool perfect for our fitness routine.

Totally surprised and pleased. I am retired military and I found some items donated by ex-military people I know as well as a photo of the first ship I was on in 1960. Facility is bright and clean and staff is great

This rec center is literally a museum of military effects that have been donated. The walls are filled with memorabilia. The design and furnishings are absolutely amazing!

Eisenhower rec center is for every one to. If you are a vet, you will see many pics from WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Gulf War. Actual vets in the Villages donated their own pics. There is so much for us to be thankful for in just viewing all that from the vets here and honoring those that gave all they had to give.

We were on the Trolley tour and The Eisenhower Center was mentioned. We visited and were amazed at the wonderful display of so many stunning donated items of that time period. One could spend a lot of time going wall to wall and room to room viewing the keepsakes.

We went for the museum feature of the center. Many donated photos and actual items from various conflicts the US has been through. Large recreational rooms with the memorabilia adorning the walls. It struck me as funny that a group of women were engaged in Mahjong at several tables as we walked through (well, it is a recreation center). I was disappointed that the items did not have any history associated with them -- they simply had a plaque saying "donated by so-and-so." Even so, very nice.

This recreation center is in a league of its own. The interior decor is outstanding - photos and memorabilia from all branches of the service from WW1 through Afghanistan.

The Villages has a number of these rec centers but they all pale in comparison to Eisenhower. As you walk up to the entrance, the seals of each military branch are displayed outside. Upon entering, you can view the military uniforms when you look straight ahead.
The beauty of this rec center is the wonderful memorabilia donated by our Veterans. A Japanese flag from Iwo Jima and telegraph messages from the 1940's are amazing to study. Be sure to visit each room in the facility so you don't miss out on other artifacts.
I would allow yourself at least 20 minutes for your visit. You will not be disappointed in your tour and you will leave feeling a renewed sense of patriotism.

Interesting displays of military memorabilia. Some of the rooms may be open but have activities taking place in them. Displays are well laid out and it's interesting to walk around for an hour or two.

While visiting The Villages for five days, I visited the Eisenhower Rec center three times. The first was just to tour the place and admire the memorabilia. The other two times to play tennis on their two courts. My wife took a pool aerobics class one time and pickle ball the next. A. Very friendly group running the place and all the residents were helpful and welcoming! Worth a visit just to see all the military mementos!

It was beautiful. All the old articles from soldiers, their medals, pictures, everything was so impressive and beautiful. I would definitely go there again.

A great collection of military mementos.
Most donated by Villagers. They cover all of the conflicts we fought.
Dont miss this.

This really is a “must see” while visiting in The Villages. Great collection of WW2 memobelia. Possibly one of the best collections.

As thw name is a giveaway, this rec center is dedicated to the men and women that have and are serving in tbe US military. From floor to ceiling this center is perfection. A display of military uniforms is high up on a balcony in full view as you enter. The flooring is different woods and tones that is carried throughout the entrance area. Each of the game/meeting rooms ate carpeted in patriotic red, white, blue and gold. All the rooms are named for WW II admirals or generals.
The flowers planted outside under the flags of all service branches are also red, white and blue

This is an amazing rec center My husband is a Vietnam Vet I feel the pride that he feels walking into this building I really do love the experience It is something thet everyone shiould enjoy

Be sure when having company you visit the
Eisenhower Recreation Center
This center is a special tribute to our military and families....
Breath taking ....

We came by for an martials arts themed event and loved the venue. Much more space than we anticipated and very clean. The staff are very friendly too!

This is a recreation center that is open to all the people living in The Villages, FL. Besides exercising, ping pong, yoga, Zumba, cards, Bunco....etc. this is a very special place we take all our guests. There are actual letters from those who served in armed forces. Everything was donated and authentic which demonstrates all the sacrifices people endured to give us our freedom. It is my favorite place in our friendly home town which now has 120,000 people. This is museum quality archives that you will enjoy.

Very nice facility with very nice appointments collection covers much of the Military with special to President Eisenhower. Don't miss this very nice center!!

Their beautiful creation center doubles as a beautiful military museum. Most of the memorabilia has been donated by Villagers. There are so many pictures, letter, medals and much more. Be sure and stop in and plan to spend at least an hour.

Outstanding Tribute to our military. Young and old will enjoy the extensive history that lies within its walls.

My husband and I were there twice. The second time we took another veteran with us. It is an amazing place. There are so many donations of memorabilia and uniforms from all the different Armed forces and wars. It is a beautiful, commemorative building.

One of the best places to take guests to view what Villagers have done and donated to this special rec. center. Unique and inspiring.

It is more like a museum of Americana items.... beautiful. We took our DC visitors there and they were impressed. Go there with family and friends.

Best of the recrational centers!!
Great collection, memorabilia, tribute to US armed forces. I am grateful for the donations that families have made of their loved ones' items, medals, uniforms. Reading the letters from servicemen and their families makes it real. I think everyone, especially the young generations need to see this to realize what it took to make this country great.

In one of the recreation centres of The Villages this museum is very interesting. Most items are donations from residents which makes it personal. There are lots of pictures as well as uniforms and other items.

Visiting friends who live in The Villages, they recommended checking out the Eisenhower recreation center. It's much more than just a rec center, since they have dedicated meeting rooms, numerous exhibits, and is almost a museum, since there are many military retirees and veterans living in the Villages, and many had contributed mementos of their time in the military.
There were numerous pictures and some formal photographs, medals and other decorations, uniform items, and interesting mementos that brought back memories of my time in the Army Artillery and some of the posts where I had been stationed in the US and overseas.
There is just so much to see, and we were told they were hiring a professional curator to help organize and display the exhibits.

If you are into military you will have a blast!! Most exhibits were donated by fellow Villagers & there is something new at every turn!

This beautiful center isn’t a museum but almost all the displays were donated to Eisenhower Center by our multi-generational veterans who live in The Villages. This 55+ community adores their military “heroes” and this center really shows that respect. Great care of artifacts from every war are displayed in an interesting and first class way. Open to all every day, no charge.

This is recreation center that's been decorated with Veteran Memorabilia. It is a place where residents of The Villages, Florida go for games and entertainment as well as for the memories of time served or of friends and families time served for their country. It uses Eisenhower as its main character and theme. The decorations are phenomenal as well as the decor. What Great History and FREE. Spend and hour, waste a kleenex!!!

We take all of our visitors on a tour of this rec center. What a treasure chest full of personal memorabilia from world wars and related times. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing place to see. If you like walking down memory lane regarding all things military, this is for you. I spent an hour walking around the entire facility and I could've spent two hours easily. There are photos, uniforms and all things that will jog your memory. Don't miss this during your visit.

I was born and raised in the fifties, Ike was the only Republican my Mom voted for. Our milk was delivered with waxed removable tops, the top inch of the milk was cream.
The Good Humor man prowled through our streets ringing his bells and my sister used roller skates with a key. That is what I think of when I tour the Eisenhower Recreation Center. When our guests visit us we bring them to the Eisenhower Rec Center.
If you like war memorabilia, the real stuff, this is the place to spend some time. Our neighbors, our friends all donated their time, photos, uniforms, ration kits and stories.
We each have a story to tell but these men and women tell their stories through their sacrifices and experiences. If you love America, if you stand when the anthem is played, if you honor our soldiers, sailors, aviators, and warriors visit the Eisenhower Recreation Center.

Local veterans have donated a wide variety of military memorabilia. Each room focuses on a different era or branch of service.

This recreational center is decorated to honor the military and US veterans. The Villages has attractively mounted and framed many personal military mementos donated by Village residents and has them displayed in the many rooms and hallways of the rec center. It is well worth a visit to examine and read all that is there.

My husband and I were SO impressed with all of the displays. He is an Army veteran, his mother was a WWII WAC, and his father was in the Navy. My father was a Coast Guard vet. This exhibit would be enjoyed by anyone. There is a great deal of history, with contributions from area veterans.

If you are patriotic this is a must see. Memorabilia from all branches of the Armed Services beautifully displayed. Lots of places to stop for lunch.

Took our adult granddaughters to see this excellent exhibit or President Eisenhower's accomplishments, plus memorabilia from World War II and a tribute to the armed forces. Highly Recommend.

Great place to check out. Lots of military items to see. You can spend sometime here.If you are interested in military you will enjoy it.

This is a tribute to the forces who served in the world wars. As an English visitor I found it very moving. The memorabilia on show was mainly contributed by ex forces families as a legacy for those who served, so I was told, a real tribute and a must see for anyone who values their freedom and democracy. Just love the Patriotic American attitude.

This is not you typical rec center. The Military history exhibition is very interesting. Residents of The Villages have donated or lent personal history items from their time or a family members time in the military or during war time. Excellent way to spend a few hours!

A beautiful building with lots of histouy displayed. I take all our guests here when they come to visit us. They all say they enjoy it and some want to go back again when they revisit us. Be sure to allow an hour or so to look around. Any Veteran or military person or people who like history or had familyh members in the military would like this. Especially if they are an Eisenhower fam.

Lots to see in this lovely building. Beautiful building and many artifacts to look at and a wonderful tribute. Also great activities for the residents of the Villages.

This is an amazing place. What a wonderful tribute to the military veterans of WWII. The displays are fantastic. The military uniforms, seals, equipment and pictures make this feel like a museum but the decor and furniture make you feel at home. Not to be missed if visiting The Villages. There are public events here that my wife and I attended with friends and bought some nice glass decorations. Always something going on in these centers. But Eisenhower is special.

Military History Buffs should make plans to visit this regional recreation center in The Villages, Florida. This facility has what I would call real life history of the military on display on the walls and those items on display were donated by the veteran or the veterans family for display at the facility. There is so much military history to see one would have to spend all day viewing the items if they are serious about military history. Living the Life in The Villages Florida is so much fun and interesting, yall come.

Here there are activities every minute of every day, there is something for everyone regardless of age from crafts to shuffle board to cards to bingo etc etc and the swimming pool is fantastic and most of it is for free

Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center is much more than one of the first-class recreation centers in The Villages. In addition to being a great place for club meetings, parties, and activities, it doubles as a military museum. The artifacts and memorabilia displayed throughout the building were donated by residents of The Villages. The items on display represent the sacrifices of American service members from the beginning of the nation to the present. The developers of The Villages have really outdone themselves in the creation of this impressive center. Even if you have no reason to visit this recreation center for one of the many activities, you should visit in order to view the hundreds of items on display.

Very proud of The Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center. It is beautiful and just filled with Military history, a ton of actual memorabilia articles ...worth going to visit

The Eisenhower Rec Center is filled with interesting military information and memorabilia. I suggest taking a walk through to view all that it has to offer.

This center touches your heart and makes you remember your loved ones who served their country honorably. It has history for you to enjoy. It's beautiful and is my favorite center.

We bring all our visitors to this rec center to see all the memoribla and tributes to our servicemen and woman. Outstanding displays give a glimpse of military life from WW 2 to the present. Well worth a visit for all ages.

The Eisenhower Rec Center is a must see especially if anyone in your family served our Country. The building itself is decorated in a patriotic theme with original WW I and WW ll memorabilia. It is a visual lesson in American history.

Eisenhower Rec. Center is decorated with military history memorabilia donated from residents of The Villages in awesome displays throughout the building. Items such as photographs, uniforms, letters written home, rations and so much more from all branches of the military over the past century. A beautiful tribute to anyone who served in the military and a great history of all branches of the armed forces over the years. No entrance fees, and it is a self guided at your own pace. Air conditioned and come as you are- shorts are fine.

The facility is breathtaking depicting the history of our country and recognizing the branches of services. Something not everyone should see.

We stopped at the Recreation Center to tour the Eisenhower exhibit. Were not disappointed. Very interesting. Only suggestion was that they should put more information about what each item was instead of just the name of who donated it.

This recreation center is one of the nicest in The villages Florida. It contains amazing memorabilia of our history. A large enough facility to hold large groups of people. A bit of a drive for me so I do not attend functions at Eisenhower rec center as often as I would like to.

We always try to bring guests here for a walk around visit. Great for meetings that are military related.

A must see collection of World War II pictures and paraphernalia. The Eisenhower
Regional Center is open to all residents and new visitors.

It was nice to walk around and look at everything inside. BUT, I don't think I'd like to do it a second time.

Eisenhower recreation center is a wonderful place. We love seeing all the memorabilia Villagers have donated for the displays. Every time I’m there I see something I missed before. We take all our out of guests to see Eisenhower recreation center.

Eisenhower rec center is spectacular— especially poignant if you have served in the military. Spectacularly decorated with memorabilia from the various wars and military service, donated by veterans and their families. The monuments out front are a nice touch also— replicating all branches of service. A must see during your visit to the villages.

This is apparently one of the bigger pools in the Villages - with lanes for lap swimming. It is big enough but the water was really warm for laps - probably 86 or higher even though I went early, arrived at 7 AM when they opened.

This is a regional rec center in The Villages, not an actual museum. Usually you need an ID to enter, but they are so proud of this building! Politicians use the large room (that seats over 500) for presentations and meetings. All of the items on display have been donated by veterans, including uniforms, flags and medals. The rooms are named after famous officers from military history. Such a grand building.

You feel like you are walking into the White House! Your first impression is sophisticated, proud and classic quality. A very respectful and honorable way to show respect and honor those who gave their all for their country.
An incredible display of our various armed forces uniforms during WWII. Lots of pictures, memorabilia and stories. Many contributions from those who served and their families.
A special and important place to visit!!!

Everyone should visit this fabulous place. Full of military items. Beautiful place. Only Rec center that does not require a pass.

If you have the chance to stop at Eisenhower Regional Rec Center, please do. I understand that everything in this building under showcase was donated by Village veterans and families. It is an honor to visit and I feel blessed for those who proudly kept me safe. Thank you God for American Veterans!

The Villages is home to this Recreation Center / make shift museum of memorabilia collected by veterans and donated to The Villages to highlight life in the services (especially in WW1/WW2, Korea and Vietnam (but others are also represented). You can take hours reading through and looking at all of the donated items.

This place is a military tribute. Well thought out and appointed with loads of memorabilia from veterans. A walk through here is a walk through time.
Kudos to the Villages staff for doing such a great job on Eisenhower. We take all of our military guests there.

The decor of this Recreation Centre is very impressive! It shines with American patriotism. As a Canadian I enjoy looking at the historical photos and artifacts displayed around the building.

We have our monthly Collierite gatherings there and we have plenty of room for dinner and dancing. They have a stage in one of the rooms so the bands can entertain us. They also provide game rooms and outdoor activities.

Out of town guest, one who served with me in Vietnam. He is a history buff si this was great opportunity for him to view the great collection of military and presidential memorabilia.

This is one of the nicest recreation centers in The Villages. It is packed with military memorabilia from all forces of the military, donated from veterans of the Villages..Very very impressive.

This is more than a recreation center. It is a small museum with most of the items donated by veterans or families of veterans that live in The Villages. If you are visiting The Villages put this one down on your must see list. Beautiful military memorabilia with all branches represented and beautiful decorated rooms that can be rented by residents of TV for a nominal fee. Entrance is FREE!

If you have time stop by and learn some history about a Great American. There are some great artifacts about the president, also thanks to our veterans there are a lot of interesting stuff to learn about serving our country. The recreation center is beautiful and has a patriotic theme to it.

An interesting place to visit. Tour the various rooms for a look back at the Eisenhower years. Enjoy sitting on the large veranda. When you are finished, there are many restaurants nearby.

I served in the Marine Corps in the 1950’s. We have lived in The Villages, Florida for 18 years, and have seen growth unprecedented for any city in the US. It would take numerous pages to describe the lifestyle in The Villages, so I’ll just zero in on the recreation centers. There are now 36 rec centers which include very large regional centers.
Each center has a special theme which differentiates them. I’ll zero in on The Eisenhower Center which features all military branches. Each room is full of military memorabilia that was donated by Villages residents. It was great for me to see all the USMC gear, pictures etc. I loved seeing the same gear we used in the 50’s. There are displays of every branch’s uniforms from various war times. There are tattered flags with displays describing each situation. The main ballroom has inlaid wood floors that has a huge center circle that displays the shield of The USA. Just walking through there was inspirational. The Villages is just off route 75 south of Ocala. If you’re ever in that area, be sure and stop. You’ll never experience a retirement facility quite like The Villages, nor a rec center like The Eisenhower.

This was a super recreation center in The Villages. The 2 members of our group that were in the military were very impressed and all of us were intrigued by our visit. We loved it. There was so much to see that we will have to return to see the rest of the items on display, as we ran out of time. Go and enjoy.

Hard to believe this is a recreation center. This rivals many museums for content and interest. The best part is that the contents have been donated by the owners of the memorabilia, and it is displayed very well. If you have any interest in the history of the US, and are in or around Villages, FL, it is worth the time. Plan on a minimum of 1 hour to as much as 4 or more hours depending on how much detail you like.

We all loved visiting Eisenhower Center. It is so well planned out with the history we have lived through. Beautiful displays everywhere. Don’t miss this visit. Really.

This museum has one of the finest collection of photos, paintings and artifacts for a combination of a military display and recreation center in an adult community

A glowing tribute to our armed services. From all the different uniforms to the incredible historic communications this center exemplifies American History.Anyone visiting the Villages this is a must see. This venue makes you proud to be an American

This recreation is like a military museum with the majority of the items on display donated by Military families who live in the Villages Florida area. Going to this facility never gets old.

As a previous member of the armed forces, I found this to be very educational and informative. Woman at information desk was very grumpy.

Filled with historical items from the Civil War to Present. You'll feel like you're in the White House or US Capitol.

Nothing but quality items on display, clean, interested to any historian and/or military individuals; current, former, retired.

Our son found a photo of the sub he was on. I ask our grandchildren if they know what the book of stamps was during WWII. They were interested in the ilearning about how we had to have rations to buy things during the war.
this was a great learning experience.

One of the nicest regional recreation centers in The Villages. I was taken there as a guest several years back and now take my guests there. It's like a museum with a lot to look at.
The meeting rooms are excellent and they offer different sizes to match the scheduled event. Many large clubs have their meetings here and there seems to be sufficient parking.

The artifacts that have been donated to the Eisenhower Recreational Center are well worth the trip. The many artifacts are hanging on the walls and in displays throughout the recreation center. It's not really a museum, just a collection of pictures, personal items, and military memorabilia. And it is free.

An amazing collection of memorabilia and a wonderful tribute to our service people. You can spend hours looking at all the items in the collection, then when you go back you see things you never saw before. It makes you feel very humble to stand in the presence of all the service men and women endured.

Have visited every time we have guests. It is a great learning experience with many artifacts donated by Veterans. Great place for adults and children alike.

Absolutely beautiful.
So many historical war related artifacts, it is like a museum with a recreation center.

This place is nice to take relatives who visit, especially veterans. It is gorgeous inside and full of history. It is comfortable and living-room like.

Stop by and see the display of military memorabilia. It's like walking through a museum. Some fun activities were taking place and the sales/greeters were very helpful in letting us make copies on one of their office machines.

This rec center is totally amazing but mostly when you see the men and women life-like statues in there your heart just swells up with pride and you feel ever so grateful to all those who served and gave us our freedom.
There is memorabilia all over and it is also educational.
The rooms are for clubs to meet or games to be played!!!
Each rev center throughout the villages has a different theme and they go all out with their themes.
If you visit the Villages don’t miss this rev center.

This facility is decorated as a museum. Residents of the Villages have donated all kind of military memorabilia. Aside from countless photographs, uniforms displays, and other military artifacts. Add to this, the overall decor of the facilities; carpets, furniture, and more. Simply delightful.

This center was well thought out and is dedicated to all of our military. I has a museum feel to it and a personal touch by residence of The Villages, Florida A nice stop by to see if you are visiting The Villages, Florida

This place makes you proud to have served in the armed services.
Lots of exhibits. Uniforms, medals with a splash of history from the wars and conflicts.

This Regional Rec Center is a must for anyone that is a military or war enthusiast.
Our grandchildren were truely impressed with all the military uniforms, letters and general information. They spent several hours looking, reading and enjoying.

Not to be missed. They have one of the most awesome military collections I've ever seen. And it's all free to see! Was able to revisit some of the most famous moments in history here. Check it out!

I love this rec center and have spent time just exploring the various exhibits. It is a wonderful museum for people interested in WWII and fans of President Eisenhower.

All the main clubs of The Villages have different themes. They are all wonderful and impressive but as a military retiree and enthusiast, the Eisenhower rec center was impressive beyond belief! A must see for everyone! Thank you

Everyone showed see how well the Military has been honored at this Center ! It is amazing ! Must go and see to understand the respect, honor, and intensive displays this center has shown ! WOW !!!

Fabulous place with WW2 memorabilia. A must see when in the villages. Unbelievable that so many artifacts could be displayed in this center. Plan on spending at least an hour to thoroughly look at the displays.

This is one of the many rec centers in The Villages and it is very much worth a stop. A great display of military items and has all the uniforms displayed everywhere. Great stop for any veteran or to just honor our veterans.

This venue is beautifully decorated with mannequins wearing military uniforms.
The walls of the many conference rooms are lined with photos, medals and memorabilia donated by many veterans and their families.
A must see if you are in the Villages.
The building hosts many clubs and meetings every day of the week.

This piece of history is for the person who craves history as well as the novice.
The center is easy to navigate and is filled with memorabilia.

Visiting my friends there where they hosted Christmas party... It is beautiful place... It has lots of history stories with pictures.

Great information of the General and President. Many areas of activity for someone to participate. Many items and information about WWII.

We visited with Family assuming this was just a rec center. It’s more comparable with a museum. The exhibits were interesting and unique.

This rec center has so much history in it especially if you have served our country in the armed forces. I could spend hours just reading the memorabilia.

Tired to point out to the staff at the counter that the uniform displayed on the mannequin was not correct. Was told, they just put it together as they receive them. I explained the uniform was not correct as to what they displayed. Was ignored after I pointed out their error. The beret and special forces crest was not of the correct patch displayed on uniform and the beret was not green, but black. As a special forces soldier, I found the display to be in error, and the patch on the uniform was not a special forces patch. The unit patch was from a infantry non airborne group Other than this error, we enjoyed the building and presentation of history
Will be willing to discuss, respond to my email.

A lovely tribute to our armed forces. The displays are museum quality and leave you in awe of those who have served our country. We did not use the Rec Center for what it offers those who live in the Villages but went just to see/read all the displays. Worth a trip.

Beautiful building with many memorable items of military history. Well worth a visit especially for those interested in seeing some historic items.

We visited this center after hearing so much about it from other Village residents and found it utterly fascinating. The memorabilia on display expects your attention and we were glad to offer up our time. All in all we spent over an hour touring the war letters, stories and historical material. What a beautiful memorial to all those who served this country and our flag. DON'T MISS IT!

amazing to see, great attention to detail. The items on exhibit were all donated by Village residents. The playing cards in the room with the shuffle board table are quit something to behold.

Beautiful place to see with many priceless pictures, uniforms, awards. The rooms are gorgeously decorated. The staff very courteous and helpful.

I live in The Villages where there are currently around 88 recreation centers. They are classified as either Village, Neighborhood or Regional. Eisenhower is a Regional Recreation Center. When I have guests visiting, that is the first place I take them. There is all sorts of presidential memorabilia on display, Very impressive!

Our friends from Ohio truly appreciated as they were veterans. The artifacts that people donated were heart warming. There were also many activities going on in many of the rooms so we didn't get the chance to tour everything the rec center has to offer. Another time, I suppose.

Beautiful building. Inside was something else though. Rooms and rooms of items from various armed services including uniforms, metals , swords, guns, pictures etc that were beautifully displayed. This is a must see in The Villages.

A truly wonderful recreation center here in the Villages. Dedicated to Veterans of all wars. We were there recently for Governor Scott's thank you to the veterans who served to keep us safe. Clearly Governor Scott cares deeply about those who served. This is a clean facility with many service uniforms on display and well worth a stop wherever you are from.

It's free !!! Today you don't get a lot for free but you do here. Spend sometime looking at all the 1940's history and Eisenhower inf. Much of the memorbilia was donated by Village residence. Very informative and did I mention it's free.

This regional rec center is decorated with war memorabilia donated by those in The Villages. Each room has military photos and memorabilia to browse through.

Each room and hallway is filled with multiple pictures and real items, especially from WW II, donated by Villagers. Reading the descriptions and details about the pictures and items will remind you of your history or teach you things you may not have known. All of this is free!

Visiting my dad again and picked up our Villages I'd without any fuss. The building is as impressive as ever and all the military memorabilia is certainly front and centre. Very well presented.

If you are in the Villages in FL and have time this is a must seen It is a step into history and a tribute to all who have served/are serving in the military. We take visitors to see this frequently.

Excellent, vast collection of WWII artifacts and souvenirs, most of which have been donated (or on loan from) residents of The Villages who are Vets themselves. Of particular interest to me was the ACTUAL Japanese flag that flew over Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima, and signed by many of the American GI's who took it down, to be replaced by the American flag in the now famous scene.

What an interesting place and a wonderful concept! It is a beautiful building and an emotional visit reading letters and seeing items from our troops.

This is a place where you can spend HOURS. It is a real tribute to our veterans in all branches. The memorabilia is cared for exquisitely.

Toured the building with family. Very impressed with the military items on display. Quite a few uniforms - most on mannequins.

Excellent display of military items from all branches of the military and always take out-of-town visitors to see the displays. Everyone enjoys the center having serve are being from a military a back ground.

This is a beautiful building all by itself. The historical artifacts are fabulous, many donated by residents of The Villages. Especially if you're a veteran or from that era you could spend a couple hours there. It is very well done.

Great to visit for wartime items, which were all donated. Includes pictures, uniforms, letters, etc.

When visiting The Villages this is the recreation center not to be missed. Very educational. It is a small museum with a lot of information on Eisenhower and WWII.

We always tour anyone that visits us to the Eisenhower Recreation Center. It is really more of a museum atmosphere. So many pictures, uniforms, artifacts, all donated by Village residents ! Every room is just full of so much military history, we see something new every time we visit. This is an amazing facility, you must take the time to see this place, then go back again, you will not regret it.

This place can keep you attentive for hours. There is so much History, and fantastic item you won't get bored, and you may learn things you never knew

It is more like a museum than a rec center, it is dedicated to the armed forces. Mostly Eisenhower's time during the second world war but, it comes all military. Most everything there was donated by people who live in The Villages. Everything was done up respectfully ans is museum quality. A MUST TAKE if you are a proud American.

Very impressive . I take all visitors here. It is truly amazing the dedication shown by not only The Villages but the many Veterans who reside here.

It's a rec center for residents of The Villages. I go there every Sunday to play in a table shuffleboard league but always have time look at some of the displays. You can't possibly see all the photos, and read all the wonderful letters, documents & memorabilia. But if you only have a little time, it's still worth the trip.

We love all of the Villages Recreation Centers, but love the decor and memorabilia at Eisenhower. We take all our guests to see the displays.

If you are in The Villages, you need to check out some of the rec centers, it Eisenhower is a must. What a wonderful tribute to our military! Make the time. Go see it!

Knowing we weren’t members or guests of the Villages, we went anyway to see what sounded like an Exhibit about Eisenhower, minus the “Rec Center” part. Found out that very little of it is about the 34th President. Most displays are donated by families of individuals who served during WW2, and of course we admire and thank them for that. But again, very little about Ike, not even an Ike jacket on any of the uniformed mannequins - most of which you can only see from far away because the ropes hanging at the bottom of the stairs prevent you from getting closer. All in all, disappointing.

When we have frienda and family visit us in The Villages, we always make sure this is on our tour list. The building is beautiful and there many displays of military History and memorabilia. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are a veteran. It will reignite your pride in your service. By the way, it's free.

This beautiful center has a magnificent collection of memorabilia from the Wars . They were donated by families to the center. It is worth the hours just roaming through and reading letters. Awards and picture of these brave individuals.

If you are in the area and have not seen it you absolutely must! There will be smiles and tears. It's like visiting a museum. Wonderful!

This center is a fantastic place to visit ONCE. The military displays are incredible but they are seldom changed. Once you have seen it you have seen it.

A very interesting, informative and tribute not only to one of the heroes of the 20th century but also to the servicemen and veterans.
As we were there to celebrate the 90th birthday of one such veteran it was an honour to tour this with him

Fab place dedicated to military memorabilia. Every detail has been thought of and many items donated by veterans.

Very interesting & impressive tribute to the military branches. Amazing that the pictures and memorabilia were all donated by The Villages residents. Very well designed & displayed.

Well worth seeing. A lot of the memobila has been donated by the retirees. The decor that has been done by the Village folks is beautiful. Very friendly environment.

My husband loved checking out the memoribilia at this museum. Look closely and you will see a letter signed by Abe Lincoln.

This recreation center is one of the best on the Villages although all Rec centers are always clean and the help is always super helpful. Eisenhower Rec Center honors our military men & women

We took our British friends to see this teriffic Village's memorial. Each room is filled with history. Veterans and family members have donated precious photos and momentos of their loved ones from many wars. It is so well done and enthralling that we spent a whole afternoon there. When in The Villages, I would highly recommend visiting.

I was invited to attend a group trivia night. The Rec Center is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful and the facility is spotless. If you have the opportunity to go there for any reason, you need to take advantage.

A tribute to the men and women who served in the US armed forces . Plan on 2hours to really see all that is there.

Many of the Villages residents have donated military memorabilia to this center and there are some very touching letters, commendations, etc. to see.

Visitors should be informed that they aren't allowed unless they are the village residents. The reviews are good but the center is not accessible to visitors. We were lucky that someone in the village square told us about it so we did not waste our time.

On a recent visit, we stopped at this rec center. It was amazing and exceeded our expectations. I particularly liked the personal letters to the servicemen. Kudos to all of the veterans and family members who donated the memorabilia. Don’t miss this one!

Gives honor to veterans and Pres. Eisenhower with displays and pictures. Well done and eye catching.

A must see for anyone who has ever been connected with the military in any way. Warning. Can give you goose bumps or bring a tear to your eye

This rec center is not the ordinary rec center. It is full of military history very tastefully done.

Very interesting to see with all the artifacts and history. Every room has something different. Plan on spending a few hours if you want to read everything.

The Eisenhower Rec Center is full of military memorabilia from Eisenhower's era, but not limited to Eisenhower himself. Several rooms and hallways are adorned with pictures, plaques, weapons, and more displayed in a polished and dignified way. Not just a rec center, but also a bit of a museum. Worth a visit for sure.

Like walking into a museum. You enter into a space displaying all the uniforms of the military. As you go through each room you see all sorts of memorabilia from back to at least WWI. Photos, personal letters, government letters, flags, awards, etc. etc.. A must see when you visit The Villages.

If you are interested in the history of the US military you wouldn’t want to miss this collection of memorabilia and photos which are on display here. Set aside several hours to enjoy this display of military history

This Rec Center is a must see for one and all. It is like a museum - has wonderful displays and the staff is very welcoming.

This is truly an amazing place to visit. Especially if you have been in the military. Just go in and walk around. It will take at least 30 minutes to see it. We so not live in Villages.

Very interesting and well done dedication to our armed services and history. If you are in the villages you must see this

Not a museum, but the halls and walls are filled with veteran's personal memorabilia you won't find anywhere else. This regional Recreation Center is an active recreation facility in The Villages, FL. It is dedicated to the armed services of the United States. While the facilities are often filled with residents going about their active social and athletic endeavors, history is there, in every room, in every open hall or sitting room. Open daily to residents of The Villages and their guests, thousands have already visited just to look, and read, and remember those that have served. You will swell with pride to be an American.

MOst beautiful of all The Villages Regional Rec Centers. A fine tribute to our men in women who have served our country. Incredible to look at, better to participate in!

This recreation center was furnished with donations of family heirlooms. Many prized momentos were shared so we could remember and enjoy. Not to be missed when visiting The Villages.

Have company? Anyone who is a veteran? Too hot or rainy to do outside activities? This is the place to go. An amazing display of memorabilia from all wars and a great education for the younger generations to learn the cost of our freedom. Don't miss it. Great for all ages! We take all our visitors there.

Can you envision receiving a letter that your son was missing in the war, then receive a letter that he was found , then receive a letter that he was coming home? These letters are just one of many stories that are part of a great collection of war memorabilia at the Eisenhower regional Rec Center in The Villages, FL. These types of incredible attention to detail are the reasons why The Villages has grown to be the premier place to live.

Outstanding collection of WWII historical artifacts and displays of uniforms, weapons rank and unit badges, pictures, etc. Worth a visit. Allow at least an hour to go through all the rooms

Great Visit. Loads of Military memorabilia on display. Really a place to roam around and see everything.

Eisenhower Center is a must do to all who live in or visit The Villages. It is. A building designated designed by The Villages & supplied by those who fought the wars that allowed our freedoms today. Don’t miss it. It will tug at your heart. Plus it is free!

Looking back at serving in the Military, brings back memories that cannot be forgotten. No , I was not involved with conflicts in the 40 or 50 But to many the realization of putting together this exhibition is totally inspiring. Thanks to everyone who had the forethought and courage to allow this landmark to exist......

We visited this rec center last Sunday. Saw this on the website and being prior military with Memorial Weekend it was a must see location. As soon as you walk in you will be impressed. Each room has memorabilia, uniforms, pictures and artifacts that are impressive. Brings back many memories. Place is beautiful! It's free to go in so if in the area check it out.

When I was walking through the Eisenhower Regional Rec Center while visiting a friend who just bought a home in The Villages, I thought I was traversing the floors of the Pentagon. Every room was pristine with walls covered in military photos, medals, pins, and other historic and memorable artifacts. I could have spent hours going from room to room just perusing the objects and photos. This is a must-see if you respect our military history and are visiting The Villages.

Well worth a visit, very attractive building with lots of interesting memorabilia.
One could easily spend a couple of hours looking around the place.

Although all the Regional recreation Centers a beautiful and each is different, This on is exceptional. Not only is it beautiful insider and out, but the displays inside rival any top notch museum. The displays and pictures and memorabilia on the walls are all personally donated by veterans, or their families to this display. You can spend a few days reading and admiring each item displayed.

When you walk in, you almost want to salute. It is such a tribute to those who served in our armed services. The walls are covered with memorabilia from all the branches of the military. Remember it is a rec center but it feels almost like a museum. Thank you to all who donated items to the center for our enjoyment of browsing and thanks to all who have and currently are serving our country. May God bless the USA!

A must see at the Villages after you go through and see all of the items you will know why we respect the American Flag and our Military

No visit to the Villages is complete without going to the Eisenhower center! There are over 10,000 beautifully framed and displayed.Residents contributed the war related articles. I take all my guests there!

A beautiful tribute to all our services. Nicely arranged and very historical. If you read everything you'll be there a long time.

Lots of historical stuff
Nice place to visit on a rainy day
The person running the front desk was not the most pleasant when I asked questions but maybe she had an off day

This is a beautiful structure, inside and out. It has the usual swimming pool and various courts, but what makes it stand out is the interior. It is a memorial to the armed services. Nearly every wall is filled with memorabilia from soldier's service, all beautifully presented and preserved. You don't want to miss this.

If you get a chance to see this remarkable recreational center, be sure to stop and look at the spectacular display of military memorabilia.
The stunning display of donated World War II and Eisenhower era uniforms, medals, letters and associated items on multiple walls and rooms is a reminder of the sacrifice by those who served our country.
A visit here is a must when in The Villages.

This recreation center is also a military museum. The amount of historical materials is astounding, but the setting is like a living room. The event areas are beautiful, and carry out the patriotic theme.

BEAUTIFULLY decorated and so much historical information, complete with artifacts & authentic clothing! A lesson to be learned! Always clean. Several meeting rooms. Members and guests only. Free WiFi, various classes/meetings, pool & physical activities offered for members/guests.

This is a beautiful place. They have amazing pictures; memorabilia/letters - medals. It's a very unique experience...

All my guests that visit us in The Villages, I take them to the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center... What a real life Tribute to our armed forces... The Replica, appearing to be real life men and woman in uniform, takes the breath right out of you.. and the history of photos, letters and memorabilia, are phenomenal... A visit to The Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center, makes you so proud of the Untied States of America!!

Not your traditional rec center. You can find bits of history inside this beautiful building. Flags, pictures, uniforms amongst the many items.

The exhibits, rooms, framed memorabilia are so impressive. If you like history, this is a great place to visit. It honors our military from WWI to Today. There are many personal letters, commendations, diaries and attire from past and present. What is so impressive is the fact that a private organization put so much emphasis and investment in building and decorating this place to honor our fallen, active and inactive service persons.

When you walk in, you're immediately greeted with mannequins that are dressed in a service outfit from every branch of service. As you walk around, you'll see a number of historical artifacts donated from residents including one of Eisenhower's briefcases. The Villages really outdid themselves this time!

This Rec Center gives me chills each time I enter. So many reminders of the men and women who fought for our freedoms.

If you know someone who has been in the military or you have served, they will really enjoy seeing this..and it's FREE!

An excellent display of our military history with personal items, letters, telegrams, pictures and artifacts, all supplied by residents of the Villages.

Sure didn’t see this one as being anything but another sales office, but, pleasantly surprised at the amount of historical artifacts tastefully displayed. Obviously, highlighting the former President, it’s worth an hour or so to wander around and view the memorabilia.

The Eisenhower Rec Center is a beautiful place to visit, filled with military memorabilia from The Villages residents. It reminded me of visiting the Hall of Presidents at Epcot. We had a lot of fun with friends playing table shuffleboard. There is so much to do at the center, you just need to check out the daily calendar and join in by showing either your resident or guest pass. Great place to visit.

Treat yourself to the high quality and interesting memorabilia at the Eisenhower Rec Center offers. Many military museum like pieces with stories behind them- many donated by Villages residents. Check out every room as they offer themes and info. Friendly staff- great place to visit by everyone!!

Decorated with military uniforms, pictures and other memorabilia donated by residents this is a must see for veterans and their families or patriots. All branches of service are well represented.

Military uniforms on display. Very nice for the entire family to visit. Some of these rec centers are very creative and some are old and need a make over.....such as O'dell.

Its a small center - but interesting to see all the memorabilia. Kid friendly - and free. It is worth stopping if you are in the Villages

Our favorite Recreation Center to take our visitors. Memorabilia from various military abounds and everyone is amazed by the way it is beautifully displayed. Truly, a museum dedicated to the military.

I’m a Veteran and my visit to this Recreation Center brings back a lot of memories of my service in the Navy and Army. It’s like a museum with much memorabilia that was donated by Veterans from all services.

This is a recreation center in the Villages, Florida. Visitors are welcome and there is no charge. People enjoy walking through the entranceway and 5 rooms to look at the military memorabilia on the walls and shelves. Most items were donated by families who live in the Villages. The amount and variety of items is very impressive, and I’ve heard more than one visitor comment that this building holds more than most official military museums. This building can be a one hour walk through or an entire day spent delving into history. The tours are self guided. Bring your reading glasses as some of the information under photographs is in small print.

The Eisenhower regional Rec Center is a must see while at the center. Lots of great information and history there.
Plan and definitely look at all the displays and valuable information

Had a wonderful visit there. Many of the local residents have donated personal memorabilia.
It was very interesting and amazing to see some of the photos and artifacts of yesteryear!

The Eisenhower Center is worth the trip just to go through the military displays, but all of their activities are top notch. We particularly like the instructors for the bone builders class. There are many, many more activities - too many to list.

This is a very interesting place. It has much memorabilia from the armed forces. It brings out the patriotism in the individuals that visit.

I am a military history buff, so when a friend from The Villages suggested going there, I jumped at the opportunity.
The displays, memorabilia and information available there is amazing. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. I found it fascinating and will be returning when I have more time available.

I was most impressed by this collection, as all the items were donated by local residents that had served in the armed forces! Awesome presentation!!

A must see!
The multitude of items shared by Villagers is heart wrenching.
POWs, letters, awards, gear, portraits.
Pride of the USA

The recreational center shows more like a museum than anything else. It's clean and attractively decorated.

The building itself is an interesting setting for this mini-museum. It contains a large collection of military artifacts and vintage photographs, mostly from the World War II era.

Well worth the visit. My mom took me here because I enjoy history, and it did not disappoint. Rooms full of memorabilia from the early to mid-20th Century, focused of course on Ike's career in the military and the White House. Well curated displays. If you're in the area and like history, I highly recommend it.

This recreation center in The Villages, FL is much more then a place to play. It is a museum (free to the public) that is well worth a visit...or maybe multiple visits. There are pictures and artifacts from every U.S. military conflict back to WW1 and stories to go with many of them.
Eisenhower is a functioning recreation center...but it is oh so much more! Don't miss it if you are near this amazing retirement community.

If you are in the area of The Villages, this recreation center is a must see. This is similar to visiting The Smithsonian.

Planning on moving there next year. So much to do!! Everyone we met was so helpful and informative. Everyone should be able to find activities they enjoy.

Beautiful facility with room after room of war memorabilia, documents, pictures of war related events, plus a memorial to Ike in the form of personal effects, pictures, etc. Problem is that there is no commentary or explanation of what is on display - usually just a small plaque naming the donor of the display. Too bad - if you were not a WWII vet, it would be difficult to place the contents of the memorial in context.

The staff at Eisenhower is superb. The work they put into Government Day was evident and I think everyone was very pleased.
Great Job!

Whenever we have company, the one place we always take them is Eisenhower Rec Center... so much to see and it's beautiful...

If you have served your country in any branch then you are represented here, if you go to the villages this is a must stop for you, no matter your political affiliate. Its all about serving. Thank you

From pre-revolutionary flags display through memorabilia from recent wars, the story of sacrifice by men and women fighting for and maintaining our freedom and the freedom of many countries is well told and documented in the many rooms and display cases of the Eisenhower Recreation Center. All on one floor, leisurely browsing 9 am to 9 pm is available free to be enjoyed by all ages although younger children under 8-10 may be bored. It is located at the south end of The Villages near Paddock Square which has several good restaurants, interesting shops, the 8-screen Barnstorm movie theatre, and live music for dancing 5-9 pm 365 days of the year unless extreme inclement weather prohibits for safer reasons.

I have been here many times and I still have not seen everything You can find some great flags from the war, unifirms,,original picturesamd metals all donated by veterans from the villages. Very inspiring. My kids and grandkids enjoy it too

An outstanding, impressive display of our many armforces uniforms and the individual meeting rooms brought pride of those men and women honored by the names of our many heroes.

When you go to Eisenhower Rec Center, you don't need to go to an activity. Just wander through the hole place. It is all filled with donations of military memorabilia. Take your time or come back!

Eisenhower recreation center is not just a recreation center in the villages...It’s like a mini museum. The Decor is all World War II memorabilia, much of it donated by villagers themselves, it’s a beautiful place to go to if you are in the area.
Anyone visiting the area can get in to check it out.

This is a private recreation center. It is very well done. Didn't have enough time to go through all of the memorabilia. Most has been given by the residents of the private community.

This is part of the Villages and serves as a community center for residents. Public is welcome to come in and look around and its amazing to see all this material in one building. One room I was impressed with was full of chairs with the presidential seal on the backs. Must have been over 100 of them. Volunteers everywhere to answer questions and residents of The Villages were there doing different events that are offered.

This recreation center has actual wax figures of people dressed in uniforms from our many branches of the service. There are also many documents, including paychecks, and pay schedule etc. it is so interesting if you served, ...and if you didn't!

The experience is breathtaking and so inspirational. What these men and women sacrificed for our freedom is a constant reminder to be thankful for. We shall not forget. Should be shared with all who visit.

This is an attractive and well maintained facility which offers gathering space for various programs and meetings. For the casual (none-resident) visitor, the mostly-unmarked exhibits are upscale “I love me” presentations celebrating service in WW II and Vietnam. No explanation is offered; Korea and other activities are ignored; and there is no coherence. Otherwise, it attaches itself leech-like to well-known WW II officers.
Interesting half hour only because the exhibits reflect what some considered the high point of a life. Also nice restrooms!

This is a museum of war memorabilia, with displays of items donated by Villagers. It is most impressive and you can spend hours here. As you walk in, you see each branch of the armed forces in uniform.
We take all our friends who come to visit, and it’s humbling to watch them identify their unit or their ship or their uniform in photos. It is impossible not to be moved by the sacrifices made.

The items available for review from General Eisenhower are wonderful. Pictures and other items from WWII are priceless and let me see glimpses of my father in that war.

This is where we take all our visiting guest. It is so beautiful and such a wonderful tribute to not only President Eisenhower but to our WWII veterans. I love all the memorbilia donated by Villagers who served in WWII.

Very beautiful recreation center. If you haven't visited yet you should especially for veterans day tomorrow.
A must see.

This site is a must see for fans of Ike, and everyone should find something to capture their interest whether it be staying active and involved in your community, personal fitness or just to browse through all the wonderful historical photos, articles and letters and other memorabilia of Ike and those who touched his life. A warm, inviting reception area with period furnishings, a wealth of info for the inquisitive visitor or researcher. Recommended as part of your tour. Community schedules and events available there

This is a Wonderful tribute to all our Service men it is a Must See. They have so many picture, item all contributed by Families.

Always impressive but attended a group tour for Vietnam Vets conducted by retired Col Harry Lumpkin who shared his personal role in organizing and selecting the memorabilia for the Eisenhower Rec Center. The back stories were interesting and informative. Quite a project and proud to have it in The Villages. Wish we could have spent a whole day there. 🇺🇸

The Eisenhower recreation facility was built by The Villages as one of a number of similar
buildings for the purpose of providing Village residents with outstanding facilities for social interaction - games, lectures, meetings, instructional events, etc., etc.
Eisenhower is a memorial to General Eisenhower and the WWll era.
The many exhibits are wonderful mementos of that era and were all donated Village residents and/or their families.

The artifacts and memorabilia donated by Villages residents have been thoughtfully and beautifully displayed in multiple rooms at Eisenhower Rec. Center. A very moving and patriotic experience all our guests enjoy visiting. This is a wonderful tribute to our armed forces and veterans, many of the displays showing the bravery and sacrifice of our military men and women.
We have visited multiple times and there is always something that I haven't seen before.

Fantastic place, is more like a museum than recreation center. Many things to do there.
Many military things to look at. Lots belonging tp Dwight Eisenhower.

Our friends at the Villages suggested a stop at the Eisenhower Center. Had a very interesting visit seeing all the the pictures and items on display from the wars our nation fought. Several rooms have a theme and most interesting reading the letters from our troops to Mom and girlfriends Back home. Myself being a veteran it ment a lot to see a place delicates to the best military and its leaders. Nice place to visit will try to see it again.

The Eisenhower rec center is in my neighborhood of The Villages. Great place to both live and visit.

A patriotic look at all arms of service. Send some time viewing donated items and pictures from residences and visitors alike. It's easy to loose track of time and spend a whole day there, complete with awe and goosebumps.

This recreational center honors the Military from WWII and beyond. All Military groups are honored with past uniforms, medals, photos and memorabilia. The recreation center offers various classes, rooms for social events and spaces to just remember those who have served.
The decor is reminiscent of the White House. Truly a beautiful venue for meetings, weddings, or any other occasion.

I came to tour, and was not disappointed. There are also many fun recreations to take part in, including table shuffleboard.

Whenever we have any friends or family that have served in the military, we tried to make sure we take them to see the display at Eisenhower. It’s such a wonderful tribute and very interesting to see all of the memorabilia.

The Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center contains many objects and pictures of world war solders, generals, and other actions related to past time military events. It has spectacular displays of uniforms of the day and associated events and articles.

the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center is stunning, and it celebrates all of our armed forces. The displays are educational and breathtaking. I feel honored to be an American there!

Room after room decorated with patriotic memorabilia donated by residents of The Villages. Open to the public.

Very interesting place with alot of historical things to see and read. Went with friends from out of town and all of us enjoyed it and would return.

Don't ever miss a chance to visit here.
It's just amazing! I live here in The Villages and have been several times. Never gets old. The memorabilia is unbelievable!

A wonderful center to take friends to especially if they or their family are veterans. It is like a very well done museum. Most displays have been donated by Villagers that have served. There are several paintings and personal affects donated by the family of President Eisenhowers valet. Very interesting, you can spend hours looking and reading everything. Hi

Every time I have family or friends in I take them to the Eisenhower Rec Center. It’s educational and so moving to see what residents have donated. It’s a blast from the past. Both my dad (National Guard) and Uncle (Navy) truly enjoyed wandering around this place filled w history, memories and dedication to family, friends and country. It brings tears to my eyes to share in these memories.

Have visited this spot several times with friends when the come into the area... always enjoy walking through and reading the articles, etc

Always enjoy coming here-they have wonderful seminars, and the museum itself is so worthwhile. They do a great job.

EIsenhower Recreation Center is one of many located throughout The Villages. As a regional center, it is among the largest. Numerous well organized exhibits throughout the center present a wide variety of military memorabilia, e.g uniforms, photographs, historical articles, etc. Anyone interested in military history or just history in general would find a visit to Eisenhower fascinating and well worth their time. There is no charge for visitors.

A visit to the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center for me was a trip back to my service as a Marine. The exhibits cover times long before my 72 yrs and then up to date.
Donations from private clubs and person makes the different rooms a must see.

All of the regional recreation centers in The Villages have a theme. Eisenhower has a very well done military theme. If you are a veteran you should walk around the walls and see if you can spot your unit, the type uniform you wore or maybe even your own picture.
This is worth a stop or something to do on a rainy afternoon.

As we rode around the Villages with friends, we stopped here for a visit. It is a wonderful place with much memorbilial of the many wars, including WWI, WWII, Korean and Vietnam. Pictures and collages are of real people, actual ships, battles, etc. It is so nice to remember our heroes of the past, especially in this day and age. They died for our country and they are all true heroes. There are people around who can answer your questions. What a wonderful place to visit. God bless America.

Terrific place to visit while in The Villages. This is a Regional Recreation Center with original artifacts from veteran servicemen and women.

The recreation center was dedicated to the veteran. Many veterans living in The Villages donated personal memorabilia to be put on display. The Villages did an outstanding job of displaying the artifacts while preserving the functionality of the meeting rooms.

This place gives you a proud to be an American chill! Seeing all the service memorabilia the life-like statues is really educational. You don't have to be a history buff to really get into reading and looking at all they have. Very well done!

This is a good place to cool off in the heat of the afternoon and spend a half hour looking at all the displays on the wall. You can also rent this place for events.
When you are visiting the Villages, or already live here, please visit the Eisenhower Recreation Center. It is a wonderful learning experience. It pays homage to the branches of the United States of America's military, which great photos, memorabilia and artifacts. The exhibit is beautifully done and definitely worth a visit (or two)
