The Flowrider really is Epic. The best maintained flowrider ever, So much fun. The staff is exceptional and the flowrider community is the best.. Epic also has areas for kids, a lazy river and great slides. It is good for birthday parties.

I took my daughters and their two friends and they all had a blast as there is plenty to do for the younger and older ages. We would never have gone for the ordinary prices but I heard about a homeschool special on mondays (call ahead to ask because it's not advertised and could end anytime.) For $14/person. I would have given it 5 stars except that the small locker cost $8 and the food was not good. The place had more employees than it did patrons! I loved the fact we never had to wait in line and that I could spot my kids easier. The employees were wonderful and the place was very clean. They even have surfing. Bear in mind that the wave pool is closed in the cold weather as it's outside. I also liked how they gave us a $10 game card included in our entry. I would have liked a lounge chair and for the place to be easier to navigate, but overall we had a blast and was worth the 45 min drive!

Arrived at 9:30 (park opens at 10) and we were 3rd in line. By 9:55 when they opened doors - there was a huge line! We went through security - no problems.
Went to scan/check in - took a bit. We brought my daughter’s friend who had a printed ticket. They wouldn’t let her in until one of her parents sent a pic of their DL. (Be prepared - you need an ID that matches last name on ticket AND the card used for purchase). We go in and head to lockers.
Locker machine is down and only takes cash. Husband goes to ATM and pays $4 to get $20 out - for the $12 locker. He tries to pay with cash and it only excepts exact amount. Heads to snack bar and asks for them to break a $20 - at first they refused but they finally did it. Got the locker.
From 10-12 ish - crowds were decent and we pretty much did everything the park offered. For $59 a ticket - we expected more. It did get extremely crowded.
Lines to get in remained long until we left at 4. Checking in takes such a long time. Hubby and I joked about wanting to be the Operations Manager and whipping that place into shape.
Food line is long and takes a long time. We brought a cooler - parked close and ate lunch in car. You can leave and re-enter.
For us, it was a one time experience. Experienced it but won’t return. Also two slides of the few were not operational.
I have read bad reviews about lifeguards - but we witnessed serval jumping to action to help folks - and help lost children find parents. Kuddos.
If you are a Grand Prairie resident - the $39 entry isn’t too bad.

Very good experience!!! Commya was very helpful with our first visit there!! Go try it out you will not be dissatisfied!!!

Our kids had a blast! They didnt want to leave! We will definitely come back when we’re back in town! Good food! Can’t believe they were serving POUTINE!!! As a Canadian who misses this staple, I was sooooo happy to see poutine in the menu! The only down side is that they have one small concession stand. The line to get food was sooooooo long!

It was way too crowded. We were constantly bumping into people. The lines were too long. I went on the surf machine and practically drowned because I was stuck under the blow-up separator. Not only was it a painful experience, but the water pressure almost blew my child's pants completely off. I did not enjoy our time at all. I do not recommend going there. It is too new of a place that doesn't know how to handle that many people.

This place is all around amazing it is very family oriented and fun for people of all ages. The kids love it. You can also just sit and relax while the little are in the child pool. They keep very close watch on everything they have lifeguards everywhere so it is a safe place. I would recommend a visit to everyone who visits the state of Texas

We visited Monday, March 19. Got there at 9:30 and we were the first ones at the door! The manager at the door was so nice and helpful. You go in and they check your bags, then you proceed to the front desk- two lines for those wanting to purchase tickets and those that have vouchers, tickets or season passes. We were able to ride rides multiple times before hardly any others got inside. We also got a table to put our towels and things at. We used a locker to leave our items with money in. There are body slides, slides with flat mats and slides with tubes. There's not a whole lot of tubes for slides and lazy river but we only had to wait a few minutes later in the day. There's a kiddy play area, a pool with ball hoops, lazy river and a surfing ride. It's warm inside and water temp good. Lines for food were super short at 11ish but were getting long after 11:30. They have pizza, burgers, fries, special fries with brown gravy and cheese curds, nachos etc. We enjoyed the cheese pizza, special fries and ice cream. They have a separate line for Dippin Dots ice cream. There is an arcade with prizes. The gift shop has flip flops, water shoes, bathing suits for kids to adult, tshirts, sun glasses, etc. The manager at the arcade prize area was so helpful and nice. All staff were friendly and helpful. Arcade, lockers and food areas take credit cards. There's an alcoholic beverage area as well but you can take the drinks to other areas in the water park. Cabanas had 8 chairs, covered table and had what looked like waiter service. Not necessary unless you're not early or need to have a large group space. Looked nice just pricey. We had an umbrella table so didn't need sunglasses but some other seat areas were bright. We were offered a golf cart ride back to our car when leaving (nice and unexpected). We got our tickets through our partner hotel even though they were sold out online. We had an awesome time! Great experience!

came here last year on complimentary tickets, and it was so much fun. I didn't want to leave but my wife made me :(

We took advantage of the Friday evening special. Plenty of parking, but still had a 15 min wait to check-in, even though we had purchased our tickets online. Arriving at 4p, very limited seating for our stuff. Things opened up as the night went on. 15-20 min waits for most of the unique rides. Kids were fine just playing in the splash zone area, rather than waiting for extended periods of time for the slides. The food was sub-par, but we anticipated that. Unfortunately, no outside food can be brought in.
The park is loud, but not too stuffy. The shade is nice, and the atmosphere comfortable. The water seemed clean and not overly chlorinated. We lasted about 4 hours. The park was smaller than I thought, and we probably won't return unless there is an equal or better deal.

Epic Waters was a lot of fun for the 7 year old AND the adults. We spent a solid 3.5 hours playing and never got bored. We got there early (9:15) and they let us in so we got to ride every slide with no line. How cool was that?? We played until noon or so when it got very crowded, left to do other things, and came back around 8pm and finished our night there.
My concerns are safety concerns and I hope that Epic Waters takes care of this before anyone gets hurt. The rides are not adequately staffed. At any point during the day there was just 1 person manning two rides. Often times they would take their eyes off of the slide entrances and walk over to the rail to watch the current slider make it to the bottom. Doing this left it wide open for someone to take off on the slide on their own before it was safe. I would hate to see a small child get away from a parent and take off or something like that. My niece was riding the Prairie Plunge and the staff person never had her lay down. She actually took off sitting up - thankfully gravity took over and it laid her down but that was not a good feeling to see her taking off in a slide that drops 50' where she could have hit her head or something.
I saw people slipping and falling all over the park so I hope that Epic Waters can find a way to make the walkways less slippery for folks.
The locker area got pretty crowded but it was a group of teens that were congregating. I dd see the staff move them along so that was appreciated.
Again, the food was actually pretty good and reasonably priced. The wait in line and the bottleneck the line caused was a bit of a pain but I think there's only so much room at an indoor facility and there's going to be lines.
Would I go back? Absolutely! Do I recommend going to this park? Definitely. I can't wait to see what other developments are in this area. Overall our experience was a super fun one. I hope the safety concerns are addressed and this park is around for a long time. Thanks Epic Waters...the 7 year old says it was her "best day ever!"

Water, water, water! My sisters and I love water park, and this place was so good we went back the next day.

Epic Waters hosted a 3 day event called FlowaPalooza that ended with a surf contest. There were surfers/riders from all over the US. Also the riders were some of the best in the world with several world champions competing in the event.
Epic Water has set a new standard for other water parks to strive for with all the events/activities/food that were taking place during the 3 days of FlowaPalooza. Congrats to ALL of the Staff for being so friendly and supportive of the Flow community.
Michael, Rick, and Robert yall ROCK!

Awesome family fun for all ages. Staff is super friendly with an inviting atmosphere. Slides are super fun and the lazy river is a nice way to relax. The surf simulator looks intimidating but with the help from staff it turned out to be my kids favorite attraction Definitely a must do and worth the price of admission.

My son has been dying to go to Epic Waters since it opened almost a year ago. So he was thrilled when we decided to let him invite a couple of friends for his birthday - water park in January! First, I want to be clear that we did NOT choose to do an official party package. Given that it would be 3 kinds and 6 adults, it was too pricey. What I did love was that, just before the Christmas holiday, they offered 2 free passes for every $100 in gift cards you purchased. So a few weeks before his party, we drove over and bought $300 in gift cards and received 6 free passes. We went first thing in the morning on a Sunday and the only confusion was that I wasn't allowed to purchase wrist bands for everyone right away because they weren't all there. The cashier needs to put the wrist bands on the customers. I understand why they do this - if someone doesn't show, that's one less person they can have in the water, buying food and playing in the arcade. I just wish I had known that in advance. Luckily, he solved it by putting the wrist bands in an envelope for us and letting the people come in and retrieve them when they got there (all within 10 minutes after I made my purchase). They also offered a deal on arcade cards - $20 for a $25 card, so I got those for the kids as well. Once inside, we grabbed a couple of tables with umbrellas (glad to have that shade later as the sun, though screened off, was still bright/warm). There seemed to be a good amount of seating, including tables and everything was quite clean. The kids were all 7-8 years old and over 48" so they could go on any slide and the wave surfer. They all chose what they were comfortable with and had a great time. The dads all loved the wave surfer. When lines got long there, the staff was able to put a divider in the middle so that there would be two people going at once, which helped wait times. When it's set up like this, however, you are not allowed to ride standing up. I assume that's why a lot of folks with their own boards were there right at opening - to make sure they got a chance to ride on the full wave, standing up. The lifeguards here, as well as the "regular" riders were all extremely helpful, giving tips to the new riders and even letting the kids go twice in a row if they wiped out immediately. Overall, I would say most of the employees were very friendly and enjoy their jobs - at least compared to other waterparks in the area. The ones at the tops of the slides would explain to the kids what the slide was like so they'd feel a bit more at ease before their first time down. Guards changed out frequently and seemed to be paying very good attention. The snack bar has a much larger selection of items compared to similar places (I mean POUTINE?!? At a waterpark? Score!) Prices there were decent and food came out quickly. The arcade was a nice break after lunch - not too big, not too small, and honestly probably the cleanest one I've been to, with all machines actually working and a good selection of prizes. It did start to get more crowded as the day went on, but never uncomfortably so. Not all tables/chairs were taken. We were there a total of 7 hours and my son loved every bit of it. Even better was that we felt we got a great deal because of free passes. I really hope they offer that deal again. Definitely planning our next visit!

The kids are having a blast on the slides and pools. There’s a recreation center next door and people are fishing on the lake outdoors. It’s a treat to go to a water park in the winter. The place is clean and the staff is excellent, skilled and polite.

My son (16) & I went here for a day trip. We had a great time. Good slides, great staff (happy staff!) & nice entertainment by the show team. We were fortunate to go on the first day that schools were back in Fort Worth so it seemed busy enough but not long queues. We would recommend this place.

We went to book birthday party for my daughter. The booking agent was not there and we were initially told to call a number to reserve a party. We had been told to come this day to reserve a time. We were directed to Gabe. R and the rest was history. He was able to take care of us and get our reservation scheduled with high satisfaction. Gabe was great and I would definitely recommend his services again.

It was fun, and we enjoyed it. However, there was only one place to get lunch at, and the line was LONG. Everything was fun, but it just seemed smaller than a lot of water parks we’ve been to. The kids loved the arcade area:)

We visited yesterday. In all fairness it was Labor Day weekend. We were very excited to go after hearing/reading all the hype. We were sorely disappointed. It started out by having bought online tickets and still having to wait in the same line as everyone else to get in. Then when you get in guess what, you have to wait in a longer line than if you hadn’t bought tickets at all. There was no one at the counter to buy tickets. But if you did buy online tickets you had to wait in another line to have your tickets validated. Why? This is absurd with the technology of today. These days there should be a scanner at the door to scan the tickets, each presumably having their own unique bar code and you are done. So while we had tickets for 10am when the park opens, by the time we got in pretty much all the chairs had already been spoken for.
The layout of the place is awful by the way. The food and bathrooms are located adjacent to one another as is the ramp to the upper level so there is always a log jam of people at that point.
We got in the lazy river which was nice enough from a length perspective it is a bit narrow and for sure about a foot too shallow.
The worst was lunch. Everyone gets hungry so I go to get some food and realize there appears to only be there one place to get food and that line was nearly to the end of the building. By the time I got through the line it was an hour! And I noticed that all through the day the line never really got much shorter. The funny (not funny) thing was about a third through the line I noticed that they do have a second place to get food and no one was in line. (Because the main food line que’s and covers up the location! (And they offer a very limited selection.) so not really sure what the point was.
Food pricing was ok I guess and the quality is about what you would expect. They do have a bar at one end. Prices were quite high so you only wanted to get one drink.
We realized there is a wave pool outside so went to check it out. Frankly it was small for the capacity of the facility. That said, we enjoyed how much quieter it was out there compared to being in the building.
We were disappointed the vendor outside was closed. The girls wanted ice cream but I wasn’t waiting in that ridiculous line again! (Why would you not have everything open on one of your biggest days of the year?)
To summarize, highly disappointed and won’t be back. For a municipal water park it is ok I guess but definitely does not live up to the hype and should not be compared to the great indoor facilities. And frankly for the money we think the Cove in Little Elm is much better.

The facility is clean and lots of life guards on duty. The children’s section of the water park is listed as 5 and under and this is not the case and the bigger kids constantly splashing the little ones. Also, the slides are not convenient to get access. You have to wait in a line for a mat (only like 10 mats for all the slides) long walk after getting mar and have ti climb stairs and then have to give up your mat and get in line again if you want to go down another slide. The lazy River current was nice, however; there was only like 5-10 tubes available to use. $34 a person and no mats for slides and no tubes for lazy River

Really disappointed, kids were bored after 30 mins. There were about 12 tubes for the lazy river and even fewer for the slides, perhaps to prevent social distancing but ended up being bunched up in a line waiting for tubes; so much for precautions. Pool was crowded, wave pool is outside so closed in winter. Food was reasonably priced and ok. Kids said they prefer Great Wolf Lodge, will not be coming back.

We came here for spring break. Was taken aback with the huge crowds once we reached. Didn’t know you don’t have to queue if you had purchased the tickets online. Another setback was the concession area. Far too small for such a large number of crowds. Waited in line for more than an hour and seatings were limited. However, the staffs there were friendly especially the life guards and the first aide staffs. Special thanks to the first aid staffs who assisted our son who had a minor ankle injury during one of the extreme ride. They were attentive and caring through the whole procedure.

Very clean and lots of staff consistently making sure that you have the best experience possible. Never experienced anything like this before. It made me feel safe with my 2 kids! We had a blast for over 5 hours. Highly recommend.

Grand Prairie rocks!! This facility is nothing short of amazing. They have a Flowrider, Lazy river with waves and the staff is amazing. Just bring a towel and flip flops.

I was shocked at the price I had to pay per person, and it was not very fun because it was crowded. Will not be going back anytime soon and upset I had to pay so many taxes to have this built and cant even afford to go!

I just got to say this was an AWESOME event. Very well organize and a lot of activities for all ages. Really loved the Flowrider there!!! Staff there are AWESOME!! Can't wait to go back and ride again.

lines that were not long took a long time to get through and in 90 minutes they were able to ride two attractions.

Got here at 8:30 am to wait in line. Didn't get in and bagged check and paid until 1045. The lazy river and kiddie area are small. Food is decent. Lines are long for lockers. You cannot purchase tickets for others just for those in your group. Not worth the money. Won't come back, would rather wait for hurricane harbor or great wolf lodge.

There is a lot of things that are bad about this place. If you but tickets online you still have to wait in two lines, three if you didn't buy the tickets online. It took about 30 to 35 minutes to get out of the lines before you can actually have ''fun".Not just the lines are crowded, the whole place is crowded too.Which leads to there being no space at all in any swim areas. There is very long lines to the big slides, and even the little slides in the kids area. The swimming areas are not sanitary.I saw a little kid pee right in front of my own eyes.I do not like the fact that the little kid did that.No kids or adults in the play area follow rules.Everybody is shoving and telling people to hurry up.Some kids even stand in the end of the slide where they could hit you.If you are thinking about getting food fast there, that will not happen. You can barely walk around because there is to many people. The only thing I suggest you do there is going to the arcade. That is the only thing I liked there despite the great hotdogs. Please come before you buy season passes, and don't waste your money. This is my opinion for this water park,it will probably be the same for yours too.

I've been to a few water parks and Epic Waters is by far the best water park in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. First off it's indoors. Never worried about the weather. Definitely a family friendly place. The staff are very welcoming when I came in. Life gaurds were everywhere for safety. All the slides are super fun.
For family fun I highly recommend. There's nothing I can say bad about Epic. My experience there is simply fun.

I originally hosted my sons birthday here in February 2018 (less then a month after grand opening). Needless to say things weren't completely running smoothly at this time due to it being brand new still. They did have management reach out to me to "make things right". I can honestly say I have never been so satisfied by a companies customer services as I was with Epic Waters. Kristy was the manager that set everything up for me and Steven was our cabana server. Both of them made our second visit more Epic then we could have ever imagined. By far the best customer service in a company ever! We are already looking forward to our next visit:)

So I went with my friend and it was so fun... let’s start with the price, it’s pretty cheap it is 30$ for a slider and 10$ for a watcher, but there is no time limit on how long you can stay. They have not to many water slides I think about 9 slides, a surfing thing, and a lazy river. The lines range from 2 minutes-10 minutes. The slides are really fun! The place itself is kept really clean, not like other places where bandaids are floating around. They have pizza and much more. As well as a arcade, the prices in the arcade are very reasonable...they have a family pack for 4 and it’s like 100$ and you get passes and pizza and I think cabana. Definitely will be going back!

I took my family here on Tuesday while it was storming outside. The rain didn’t stop our fun! Slides, lazy river, and basketball area was a hit for my 14 year old & his friend, while the little kid area was a blast for my 4 year old. The food court and lockers were reasonably priced. Appropriate amount of lifeguards. I’m not a resident, so it was expensive but worth it! Highly recommend going & we will probably go back for the Friday night special they have!

We went on a Saturday and had purchased tickets in advance, which I recommend because there was a waitlist to get in. We arrived around 11 am and it was already full. The tables and chairs were all taken. Cabanas were already rented but they really don’t appear to be worth the money. There is a TV but it’s insanely loud that I don’t see how you could hear it. There were no lay down loungers for littles to take a rest. Just a plastic table and plastic chairs. They serve food and alcohol. Line moved quickly at concession for the food and they will deliver it to your table.
The place was just too packed to be enjoyable. I have teens and also a young child that’s 4. The teens didn’t like it because the lines were so long and the Flowrider was completely taken over by large group of young adults (and a few older ones too) who were drinking and riding. This completely made it unusable for just about everyone else. The pool area was too rowdy for my 4-year-old to safely get in, plus it’s very small so when teens are playing basketball there isn’t much room for anything else. The lazy river was fine until a huge band-aid floated by us. Gag. Forget about getting a tube for the lazy river. There are about 7 tubes for 1000 guests to use. The kid area has 3 little slides but the place was so packed with no adult trying to keep order and utter chaos. Once a large group of about 80 (not a joke) kids piled into 2 tables next to us, with 4-5 adults, and started taking the chairs at our table, we were done. Rudest group of grown women I’ve met! Entitled jerks.
Max capacity, I believe is 1000, and you can expect that it will definitely hit that. It’s a great idea by the city and I’m sure an excellent money maker for them; however, it’s just too small for that many people. The lifeguards are not very attentive and one had a full leg brace on so not sure how she was going to be helpful in an emergency situation.
There needs to be someone enforcing basic rules for those that don’t understand them. Capacity needs to either be lowered or someone isn’t actually doing their job and keeping track of people in and out.
The pics make the park look much bigger than it actually is.
We won’t go back. Mark it off the bucket list but not something worth returning to. If you live in the area, then go, but we traveled quiet a distance for it and definitely let down.

Go on less crowded days and this place is a gem to be at! Good price with coupon. Went for surf flowrider and it's a double! Good other rides too.

We have been to a lot of water parks. Both bugand small. This park offered discounted prices online. Actually only a few dollar differance between the water park ticket price and the combo boulder park pass. We elected to wait and purchase are tickets at the counter to see if they offered a Military/Veterans Discount. As we usually choose repeat business based on this support. We found out that the price at the counter is significantly higher even with their Military/Veterans Discount. Should have just stepped outside and bought the tickets. Anyway. Once inside. We realized the place is small and layout was not well utilized. So not a lot of rides. Then we went outside. Probably the smallest wave pool we had ever seen at any park we had been to. We were there so we were going to make the best of it. Ee decided to set up our stuff on the loungers outside. Cause it was loud inside. Then we went to lazy river. As we got in we realized how small that was and only oe way in and out and stuff includding gum was floating in it and it had just opened. Ok. Well we were making are way around when we noticed my son and his friend calling us trying to let us know they closed outside for lightning. That was at 10:45. 15 minutes after they opened. We had to get someone that was not rude. To let us get our towels and refill cups. At that point a lot of rides were closed cause they go outside. We waited until 1:30. They never opened the doors. We finally gave up. The place was so overcrowded. No rides so it was person to person in lazy river. My son and his friend said they wanted to leave. That has never happened. My advice. Save your money. Go to Kalahari in Round Rock, or Shlittterbaun in New Bruanfels or Galveston. Do not give this sad place the satisfaction of somehow calling itself the best.

This waterpark was excellent! Tons to do! Even an arcade. They also food and adult beverages available. Highly recommend!

Brought my teenager and a group of his friends for the day and was very surprised by the level of service. I was a bit worried when I read not outside food or drinks, but to my surprise food, drinks and adult beverages were fairly priced and good food. Micheal the GM was greeting customers and walking the park. It was good to see a manager in action. Thanks Epic Waters for some great memories!

Absolutely the worst water park ever. Paid $70 to get into a mid water park when I can pay $60 to get into a water park x3 the size in MISSOURI. Then paid $20 for a SINGLE burger that I waited 30 minutes and still am waiting for. Worst experience ever. Would rate -20 if I could.

We purchased our tickets online for a Monday visit. When we got there shortly after opening time, but still had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes. There were only about 6 to 8 families ahead of us, the line moved extremely slow because they only had one person working. I'm not sure why you are able to purchase tickets online if there isn't a separate line.
It was very clean and a nice facility in general. However, despite it not being very busy, the lines for the slides and food were extremely slow. There was only one person working the top of the large slides and he was running back and forth. We only went on the slides a couple of times because the wait was at least 30 to 45 minutes each time. Despite being there for 6 hours, we didn't really get to do a whole lot.
Going forward we'll stick with Great Wolf Lodge.

First visit on 3/27/22. Family of 5 : 3 adults. 2 kids ages 3 & 6.
Positives
* new place : clean (except for bathrooms)
* friendly helpful staff
* Nice section of town
* kids 3 and under free
* pricing pretty good for admission
Negatives
* not enough lifeguards and ones there didn't seem to be totally on game so be prepared to really keep eye out.
* try to avoid weekends and if you do go weekend get there early as it gets packed.
* you cannot use a gift card online to buy tickets which was big inconvenience. Have to do at door but then you cannot reserve a day. Had to do a chat session and give all info then hope they kept my info to guarantee us admission at door. Felt need to call night before and verify. Too much work.
* the Water park is nice and in reality there really isint a ton of activities compared to Kalahari or great wolf. Especially for our 6 year old. He was too young for all the slides. There is no hot tub..just lazy river some slides a Kids area and flow rider. There needs to be slides for young kids.
* bathrooms were nasty
Overall a fun place just needs a few more activities a little more diligent lifeguards and better cleaning of bathrooms plus enable your system to accept your own gift cards

Clean and tons of fun for the whole family!!
Food is decent plenty with plenty of seating.
Rides were lots of fun.

Friendly staff, great prices, indoors!! The place is great for young and old alike. I am 50 and enjoyed the place. My 3 year old granddaughter didn't want to leave after 6 1/2 hours. My only negative was the food quality. Both my wife and daughter suffered from mild food poisoning after both eating burgers. I had a salad, and it had no ingredients needing further cooking. There were lifeguards everywhere watching for anything to happen. They walked around checking to see if everyone was OK. They didn't just sit around on cellphones as some folks do now days. Overall pleasant experience. We would go again, just not eating the food.

On 2/22/2020 my daughter and I made our first visit to Epic and I made it a surprise and she was so excited and just had a blast. The staff was just amazing, we were greeted at the door by the general manager and it just went on from there. We will definitely be coming back soon!!! Thank you for making her special day extra special.

Wow! I am trying to coordinate a birthday party for 5 birthday children and we would like to invite our entire grade. I inquired with Epic Waters on cost. The staff was extremely rude spewing off rates quickly (almost annoyed I was asking) which are extremely expensive. When I asked if certain weekdays were discounted (weekends are higher rates then weekdays), I was told that they would not have that information until January 1. Huh? My party is end of January/early Feb so we need to know if a specific weekday would have the discounted weekday rate before the party is less then 30 days away - otherwise how will we send invitations? The cost for the packages is on the low end $400 and that only includes 12 swimmers. It is $25 per swimmer extra. We are splitting the cost between five families so this may have been doable if they had staff that was more flexible and willing to work with us. The lady I spoke to had no authority to make exceptions to their standard pricing and when I asked to speak with someone else she told me that she was giving me all of the information she had and there was no other answer. Wow. Was she really qualified to turn away our business?

My mom took my girls and I here and we had an awesome time. I just hate we waited so late to go. You can spend the entire day out there even if you have to leave and come back without standing in line again. I definitely plan on going back.

We brought our kids to the Waterpark for our back to school bash. It was a great last hooray for our summer travels. We can’t wait to go back over thanksgiving break. Thanks for a great visit!

It was fun! We spent 5 hours in this water park and tried pretty much everything. It was not as crowded as expected. The rides were great/ The service was excellent. We definitely will go back.

My husband and I took our 8-year old son on a rainy weekend. It’s a great escape to experience summer activities indoor in November.
Here are things we liked:
- there was almost no line throughout the day for any slides;
- enjoyed surfing, the staff was very patient to explain what to do to a first timers;
- the largest water loop in the world. My husband was brave enough to try it and he was amazed. You have to be at least 100 lbs;
- we really enjoyed the slides with the tubes, but there are not many drops as we would wish to experience.
Cons:
- the biggest one is both my husband’s and mine right shoulder got skin burned in the slide you go on your belly on the mat. It threw both of us to the right at the turn even though we didn’t let the mat handles off.
- it’s pretty cold when you are out of the water, so we wished to sit in the hot tub, but there is no hot tub there.
- there are no hairdryers in women’s bathroom. For $38 admission fee, which is higher than any day spas in the area that have hairdryers, shampoos, soaps, I would expect to have it accessible.
- the lockers are $12 for a large size which is ridiculously expensive.
The staff told us it’s super busy in the summer, but in my opinion, I would never wanted to come here in the summer considering there are so many water parks in the area, a lot nicer and a lot cheaper.
It’s good to check it out at least once.

Nice place to spend 1/2 a day or evening. We taken the evening pass after 4 it’s very good my kids enjoyed it.

My family enjoyed New Years Day at the waterpark. In the morning the park was not crowded at all, later in the day it got more crowded but the lines still weren’t too bad. The park was clean and the employees were all polite. We rented a cabana, which included a TV and a waiter. He brought us pitchers of ice water which was nice. The negative for us was the food. No outside food is allowed. You can bring in water, but not in a cooler. Yes they search your bags. We ordered lunch but most of us didn’t like our food, we wound up leaving a little earlier than we planned to because everyone was starving. It would have been nice if they had packaged snacks for purchase, I didn’t see any.

This is a great place for fun, great staff, very clean, great food. ***** 5stars all the way. Lanes are quick, people are friendly, fun for the whole family!

We travel to Texas to visit our family. Kids want to have fun and they love playing in the pool but we need a indoor pool coz the weather is still cool. We found one but it’s too pricey for us coz you have to pay for the hotel too then I looked up in the internet and found epic waters which is an indoor pool but not too expensive.... they also have arcade inside if you wanna take a little break. The food is not that expensive but hot dogs and pizza is mainly you will have from there.... they have lazy river. Different kinds of slides and that surfing place which I forgot what they call lol. All in all it’s a nice place to bring your kids....

We bought our tickets 2 weeks in advance and then prited them at home. This allowed us to bypass a long line and we were able to get in within 10 minutes. They reach capacity, so this is important. It was busy, but lots of fun for the kids. My suggestions: buy tickets online amd you wont have to wait in line, get there about 30 minutes within opening time, lockers are $10 but you are able to access them as many times as you want using your selected pin, bring food to leave in car as you can leave and enter without issues but if you get food there the lines are long and slow, the water seems cleaner in the am as well, the first day we got there at 3pm and 2nd day at 1030am, if you get there by 1030 you will be able to find a table without issues and we were there on spring break. I felt bad for the kids whose parents didnt buy tickets online in advance as they likely waited in lie for many hours. If you dont buy tickets online then I wouldnt go. But we did and everything was quick and easy.

We took our 15 year old here and we enjoyed it for about 4 hours. I think if you have younger kids that will play more in the younger kids area you could stay for a lot longer. The admission price was reasonable though compared to competitors like Great Wolf so we thought it was worth it. There are some fun slides that you can ride tubes or mats on. There is also one of the types where you stand up and the floor drops out and you fall fast through the slide. It's a blast! The lazy river is very good. There is also an area for basketball in the water. There is a variety of shops to eat and and an arcade. We had a lot of fun. My only complaint is that there was something about their ventilation in that every so often we smelled a strong bathroom/sewage type of smell that was very gross. It would go away but would recur at various times throughout the time we were there.

Buy your tickets online if you can. If you cannot buy tickets then plan to arrive early. Because it is indoor there is a maximum capacity of 550. You don’t want to be standing outside waiting to get in.
Once inside it is a line to get your wristbands, then walk through the arcade and you will enter the main hall. Lockers are available for a fee. The lockers come in three sizes and you can open and close them all day long for the same fee. A jumbo locker is $12. Life jackets are first come first serve. You and your kids can wear floaters and your own life jackets.
The bathrooms are nice and clean and have showers. If you go to the hallway with the first aid area you will find family restrooms and it’s certainly less contested.
The facility does get busy and the lines get long. The kiddie area fills up and it’s hard to keep eyes on your kids )if you have more than one). You cannot go down the slides with your kids in the kiddie section.
The lazy river is nice and relaxing. It does get busy. Be prepared to wait if you want an inner tube. Take a lap or two swimming.
The food is affordable considering it’s at an attraction. A whole pizza is $15, a hotdog is $3. There are options like salads and fruit and of course sweets. And for those of y’all that need a drink to take the edge off from hundreds of excited kids screaming, there is a bar!!
We enjoyed it. We spent about two hours playing in the water then another in the arcade.
Parking is free.

Staff is very friendly! Sal the manager is accommodating to guests. My family will be returning for more fun.

Even though we went on a "slower" day, the crowds felt massive and the heat inside oppressive (and I tend to be cold-natured!). I also did not feel like the place was very clean after noticing hair floating in many places. The couple of slides were fun, but the wave-pool was too crowded to enjoy. It felt like folks were using this place as a dumping ground for children older 13 while they went to work. Probably will just pay the higher price for Great Wolf Lodge next time.

I went to Epic hesitantly because of the pandemic. I wanted to be safe but I also didn't want to rob my son of having a great birthday.
We arrived around noon and upon entry, had to wear masks. We also had to wear masks when in the arcade or while waiting in line. The check-in was smoothless and the gentleman (Gabriel R.) who served me was very knowledgeable and polite. He explained how the arcade cards worked and was even friendly to my kids who were beyond excited.
We had a great time as it wasn't crowded and there was still social distancing as much as possible in place. The bathrooms were clean (however very Cold) and I frequently saw people wiping/sanitizing.
Later, the same gentleman was helping someone else at the cabanas and spotted us. He stopped to ask if everything was ok and that was a nice touch of great customer service. All in all, it was a great day and my kids enjoyed themselves.

Where do I begin? I took my 3 year old daughter here on a Sunday and the first thing I noticed was a heavy police presence. Didn’t make me feel safer as I arrived, it made me wonder what I was getting myself into.
Place was packed beyond belief. It had the feel of a town where they only let people swim for one day, and this was the one day.
My 3 year old daughter was almost crushed, shoved, and submerged underwater so many times, I didn’t think we would survive. There is NOWHERE for a toddler or small child to swim safely. It was like a scene in Lord of the Flies where it was complete chaos and older kids were literally just diving on top of my child and pushing her over. No order at all.
2 little boys came up to her and tried to take her Elmo toy from her as their parents watched. My poor little girl was wondering why 2 boys were robbing her of her toy. It was pathetic.
We hung out in the only shallow area where we could play and in this area they have little fountains of water that spray up. It is impossible for a kid to not want to play in the streams of water. Every time my little girl played in the water, the lifeguards chewed us out and told us to stop. They actually asked her not to play in the water. At a WATER PARK.
If you have children, trust me, you can find better entertainment for them. They are not safe here. Horrible experience with a bitchy, uncaring staff.

My nephew comes to see me every year the week of Thanksgiving. It is getting to be a challenge to find fun things for him to do that he thinks are still “cool”. Epic Waters did not disappoint. We arrived at 10:15 a.m. and it was almost empty. It started getting busy about 1:00, but not so busy he had to wait in lines. He really had a great time and was not ready to leave at the end of the day.
A helpful hint if you are just watching: it is pretty warm (hot) inside so dress accordingly!

We have traded our normal waterpark passes for Epic Waters! They staff is ALWAYS nice and actually happy to see you. The recent flowapalooza was amazing! They did a WONDERFUL job at organizing the event with great activities and vendors. Cant wait for nationals and/or worlds to be hosted!

I wanted to love Epic Waters because I already bought a summer pass for our family. There were only 2 people working the ticket counter, which wasnt enough for the line. The water park attractions and sections are okay. The day we went, it took an unreasonably long time to get our lunch/snacks. They only had one location opened for lunch foods, and only approximately 4 people working behind the counter, which may have contributed to the next concern. Some of the people behind the food counter weren’t very courteous or friendly. We were unable to float in the lazy river because there aren’t nearly enough tubes to go around fir the people, and this wasnt even a particularly crowded day. Im a little concerned about the food service and rides, when it really is summer time.

I took my son for the first time ever and we had an amazing time. Granted hes scared of the big slides, there's enough for him to do without getting bored to easily. I would much rather take him here than any other water park in town. Big thumbs up!

It was our first time at the water park there. The food prices we're not too bad. The water in the air is actually warm. And the staff is very friendly and so is the management

There were many slides and a lazy river to enjoy, plus a bar for the adults. It made an otherwise chilly and dreary December day special. The air image was warm and the water was cooler than expected. Adequate locker and changing facilities were available. The food was okay and not terribly priced. The park was kept clean. Overall, our family was impressed.

Came for a birthday party and had to pay $80 or send the kids in by themselves. Never touched a toe in the water. Just sat in a uncomfortable chair for a cpl of hours and paid $80.

Epic Waters has safety down to an art. My family was at another water park earlier in the day and I questioned their procedures regarding capacity limits and sanitation guidelines. The management there refused to give me that information in person. As a paying customer and a nurse I was very concerned that things were very covert and it seemed like there were way too many guests at the park at one time. We decided to leave and went to Epic Waters instead. What an amazing place this is. The management was able to tell me all the information I needed for my family to feel safe and enjoy ourselves. They had staff that was consistently cleaning and there were hand sanitizing stations and handwash reminders everywhere. There was plenty of space for social distancing. We were screened at the door and asked for our name when we left so an accurate count of guests could be kept in real time. Also we ate dinner there and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend Epic Waters to anyone looking for a safe water park to take their families especially during this time when parks need to stay vigilant, but also provide a super fun way to beat the heat.

Went with my friends and her kids. the kids had a great time paying in the shallow areas. We all had a great time in teh lazy river. The drinks were good too! Over all 10/10!

My daughter and I had a great time. Water slides were fun. Enjoyed the lazy river . We went on a Thursday morning when they opened. It was not very busy at all until after noon.

I feel torn writing this review, we had a great few hours there but I can see the place getting really busy in the holidays. We were there from 1130 until 3pm and it started to get really busy from about 2pm with the feeling of being too much. Food was reasonably priced ($13 for 2 slices of pizza, fries and a coffee). We have a 16 month old and there were no changing facilities in either Restrooms. It would benefit from removing the tacky arcade and putting some Family changing rooms in so that one parent can shower/change whilst the other holds the young ones. We did have a good time but I just don’t think it will be large enough for the potential amount of people. There appeared to be a lot of children unsupervised. At one point I heard someone asking a lifeguard how many lifeguards there should be in children’s splash pool and he was told there should be two but they were understaffed hence only the one! We would go again but I would be certain to make sure that it wasn’t a weekend or a school break.

Had a great time with my family. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Only $34/person for 10 hours of fun is a great price. The food and drinks were a bit expensive though.

The layout is poor, creating significant choke points trying to move around the park. The noise level is too high nearly to even talk to someone next to you. Forget trying to get someone's attention you get too because of the choke points. Not enough seating for the number of guests, even at less than full capacity. We didn't eat there but the snacks were expensive. The arcade is decent and ironically, the quietest place in the park other than the restroom. The do have tons of staff keeping the restrooms decent, not great but ok for a water park. A little expensive for what you get but cheaper than getting a room at Great Wolf.

Warning to Parents!
If you have a very small brave child or a slightly older scared child do not waste your money at Epic Waters they do not allow parents to ride the small people slides with their children. The lifeguards will go out of their way to make sure you're uncomfortable and that you are not to ride them making your experience very unfun. My suggestion is to not waste your money with children under the age of eight. If you have dietary restrictions there is also nothing there for you to eat. They do not allow you to bring food into the park. However, you can leave the building and have your lunch in the car. They do not offer any vegetarian options. Unless you only want to eat french fries or a pretzel.

We went with extended family (daughter, son-in-law, grand daughter). The water park was very clean and the atmosphere was great for families with children. They had a very large area for small children (our two year old grand daughter had lots of fun) We especially appreciated the swimwear rules as well (Denim shorts, thongs, Brazilian/G-String bathing suits or similar are considered inappropriate attire and are not allowed.). The lifeguards were very attentive and very professional. We had a great time and will be back for more visits.

having explored quite a few of the outdoor waterparks in the DFW area - having an indoor option that isn't tied to an overnight stay (Great Wolf Lodge), is a great option although the pricing is about $25 for a non GP resident.

Have been going to Epic Waters (EW) since they opened in January of 2018. Super slides. They are the best water slides I have been on. EW has a double flowrider. You can body board or ride stand up. Best beach brake flowrider I have riden. There is a bar if you are interested in enjoying a drink. All of the food I have eaten there has been excellent. All of the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. The staff are there to ensure you have a great visit.

So fun! We went as a 50 something couple. We had a great time. There’s a lazy river, a pool, a splash pad for kids, and lots of big slides. The climate controlled dome has breezes and co trolls him much sun you get. There is an outdoor area also. Lockers are available.

I drove 4 hours to come to Epic Waters and it was worth it. Before you come make sure you go to their Facebook page and see what they have going on or if they have any promotional deals. Before I got my tickets online I checked their Facebook and come to find out they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary and they had a promo code for 1/2 off. After a few times
of going on the same slides it became boring for the adults, at least us anyway, but they have a bar and televisions which I didn’t get to indulge in but there were a lot of people going back and forth. I didn’t get to try the food either, but everything was made to order. They have an arcade which is great because we stopped and played around on our way out. The temperature inside is amazing, it is truly summer feeling when you step in the door. The restrooms and lockers were great with the lockers having reasonable prices, $12 for the largest locker. What I didn’t like: the lazy river didn’t have enough tubes, you have to literally wait for someone else to let a tube go to get one, other than that the lazy river was my favorite part

The swimming Decks are very slippery, Not recommended for children under 10 I saw a child bust his head while i was there, and it was scary. Price for residents still overpriced. Too crowded. The lazy river was so fast that i couldn't take my 3 year old with me a second time because of be mowed over by tubes and teens..Things that shouldn't be in the pools, were in the pools, lighters, plastic, the toddler area where the three arms form and move, should not be movable, stationary only..i saw so many kids get hit in the head ...Will not return....

We did the $14 Twilight Swim and it was a great deal! We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't crowded. It was clean and the slides were great. My kids are 11, 9, and 6 and they all loved it. The food wasn't great so eat beforehand. We all loved the waves in the lazy river and the two slides that you go on with the 2 person tubes. Pro tip: bring shampoo for the showers so you can go home clean!

this was a nice place to vist during all sesons. every thing is kid friendly and tons of actives.but if the wave pool was open it would be better .the food is good and all and renting a chabana was nice you could wacth netflix and more things .I in joyed the rides and this is a great place.

There is a little something for everyone here. They have thrill slides, an area for kids, a wave pool, an arcade, etc. Their lazy river is small but fun. It's a typical indoor water park basically, but the most unique attraction they have is the surf simulator. I didn't try it, but it was fun to watch the others.

thanks mica marcus bryce Justine for being amazing. they were all so kind and chill and just great people

Came for Spring Break and there was a TON of people/kids everywhere! I bought my tickets online several weeks ago- thank goodness because there was a line to get in the place. Would I come back, I'm not sure just yet.
Got a locker rental for $8 and didn't purchase any food because the lines were too long. Spent most of my time in the lazy river and did one of the slides. Stayed about 2 hours total and had to leave due to the crowd.

Where to start. This water park should have been epic. There were too many people, no where to sit. The trouble was immediately apparent when you walked by the first pool and could smell the urine. The water was cloudy, the obnoxious kids with no manners cutting in front of you, then the group of “youths” playing water basketball throwing the ball at my pregnant wife. Did I mention the disgusting pee smell? I will give this the benefit of doubt that it is not like this all the time, it was the holiday weekend and 100 degrees outside.
I will say we will not be going back.

Had my daughters 10th bday party here on Saturday. Pretty pricey so expectations high. Place was super crowded but that was expected on a Saturday. Kids played for a bit on the water rides then we went to the room. They only provide 3 med pizzas for a group of 12 and small ice cream cups plus a drink. Ok fine I guess I should have called when I booked rather than online so I could ask these questions. Also came with a whopping $10 arcade card for each child. At the bargain price of $500
Again I should have called, so that’s my suggestion to those of you reading this.
To wrap it up they double charged my card prompting my bank to shut it down. After being on the phone with them and then dealing with Epic I was missing my child’s party for like 45 min
Stuff happens I get it but the manger proceeded to tell me how it wasn’t their fault when it clearly was. There was no apology, nothing!!! I don’t tolerate being spoken to as this man spoke to me. He was so ignorant and rude. You should not be a manger if you don’t know customer service.
Rest of the staff was good. Think long and hard before forking over the $ to have a bday party. Just buy passes.

Its vary Nice water Park and you can spend good time with children its have food and drinks
Really its an amazing place for all

We’ve done great wolf a few times but decided to try this because of cost. Slides were pretty intense but our kids enjoyed everything else. I loved the slides

My grandson came in to town to have some fun. We went to the water park and the other went to wacko. We live in Grand Prairie so we got better price on the tickets. We went in the morning. We left in the afternoon and then came back in the evening to finch out the day. We loved the wave ride. Pulse all of the other rides.

I went here with my family visiting from out of town to escape the heat and we had a blast! My 1 yr old loved the shallow children's area and I could have stayed in the lazy river and wave pool for days. Water slides aren't really for me but I did enjoy the slowest one.
They also has some performers while I was there - a juggler, unicyclist, and a high rope performer. These were a neat special touch that I haven't experienced at a Waterpark before.

In town over the holidays visiting family, and we decided to come here for the day. We had kids ranging from 3-17 and they all had a blast. We got there shortly after opening time and it really wasn't too busy until mid afternoon. If you're not in the water, it can get a little hot and stuffy. The entry prices weren't bad, if we lived nearby I could totally see getting a season pass. Food at places like this is always high, so be prepared. We would definitely visit again!

What a great venue! Our whole family learned how to flowboard with the instruction of staff and not to mention the reasonably priced food along with the great water slides. This is definitely a must visit. Way to go Grand Praire this indoor water park is a grand slam.

I looked this place up on-line and I will say they are very informative and they tell the truth. They said to buy tickets early. Because on weekends it gets packed fast. They were right. They were turning people away at the door because they didn’t buy a ticket on-line. They also stated that if you buy a ticket on-line. You will the guaranteed to get in. Now to be far to the people that didn’t buy a ticket on line. They only sell so many tickets on-line. The rest of the tickets have to be sold at the park. Remember this is an indoor water park. So there is a limit on how many people can be in there at one time. The website also said that they try not to let it get too crowded. But when I went. It felt pretty crowded. That might have just been me. But I felt like I was a club when it’s hits capacity. And I don’t like to be that close to people. The park is a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. Again. That might have been because it was so crowded. I had an ok time. I brought my daughter who was only 4 years old. In the little kid pool area (I’m assuming it was for little kids). It was really crowded. My daughter was trying to go down a water slide. And some adults went down the water slide too. I thought this was for smaller kids. They were cutting in front of my daughter. I almost got super angry with some adults for cutting in front of my daughter. I definitely gave some dirty looks. I eventually left because I didn’t want to deal with the crowd anymore. So here are some things to take away. Buy tickets on line if you can. Be prepared to stand outside for a while. People were there over an hour early. There are crowds. So you better like that. Oh. You can’t under any circumstances bring in any outside food or drink. And yet I saw a few people try. Well. Good luck to you.

Never again. Like, ever. This place is overpriced and a huge disappointment. Biggest letdown: not enough tubes.
Having to wander around looking for tubes is incredibly frustrating. Paid same price for a cabana as all other cabanas ($200) and had half the amenities. Really felt ripped off. I hate to rate this place so low but it really isn’t worth what they’re charging. It really was a huge disappointment. My kids asked that we never return. Surprisingly and shocking, Bahama Beach off of Hwy 67 was a lot more enjoyable.

Loved it! Lot's of water to swim in, clean, nice, cool, and after we spent hours here we went to go eat.

We went yesterday I planned on being there a max of 3 hours 6 hours later the kids still didn't want to leave, it was so much fun, my sister meet us up there with my niece & nephew so we had every age group from 8 months to 17 years old they ALL absolutely LOVED it. The bigger kids loved the slides, the little ones LOVED the kids area, they ALL loved the lazy river & playing basketball in the water. They have a bar & t.v for the adults , great food, the arcade was fun. On the plus side when we got home the kids took showers went straight to bed, they were wore out. They had an amazing time.

I went to Epic Waters on Saturday 11/23, the weekend before Thanksgiving. Here are the cliff notes regarding our visit with our kids. With much more detail below. We have no affiliation with the place.
1. Crowds: It was not over crowded – we were there from 10:20a to 4:00p.
2. Cleanliness: It was clean. Bathrooms, pool, walkways, etc. All clean with one exception noted in detailed review below.
3. Food: Nearly zero lines for food all day long. Food was reasonably priced - $4 pizza, $7 burger. Healthy options with salad and fruit cup offered.
4. Locker costs: Lockers were $6, $12, $14 I believe for the 3 sizes. Not a bargain but not higher than other venues.
5. Staff: Staff were nice, attentive, and appeared to care about the kids. My kids tried the FlowRider for the 1st time ever and the staff were patient and helpful.
6. Climate: Didn’t think there was any risk of sun burn inside. Not too sunny. It was 40 to 57 degrees F outside during our stay and inside was comfortable except for Arcade which was chilly in a wet bathing suit.
7. Seating: There were open seats and tables throughout our visit.
8. Comfort: I believe the only reclining seats in the venue are in the premium paid cabanas which also come with a TV. All other seats are fixed upright plastic seats. Not uncomfortable but also not super comfortable, and the first ding in my list here.
9. Water Park Action: I think there was a good variety of water park options, some better and some worse than Great Wolf Lodge (more below on this)
From other reviews, I was nervous that our visit would be terrible. We had a good experience. I will say that our experience would have been terrible if the crowds had been as crazy as some other reviewers reported – and I don’t know how to predict the crowds at the venue.
Epic Waters vs Great Wolf Lodge
One question that was on my mind before the visit is how would Epic Waters stack up vs Great Wolf Lodge. We visited Great Wolf Lodge over a summer holiday weekend so many things are hard to compare well – crowds over a holiday weekend at Epic Waters, how Great Wolf Lodge stacks up when outside pool area is closed, etc. That said, below is a short pros/cons list that may help if you think you will only visit one of these venues
Epic Waters Pros
1. FlowRider – if you have a kid over 48” tall then this attraction may make the decision for you. Our kids loved trying surfing, it was unique and other than waiting 10 minutes between use it’s unlimited with the visit
2. Inside Slides – I haven’t really stacked up the slides side by side but I’m pretty sure that Epic Waters has far more *inside* water slide options than Great Wolf including their loop slide where the floor drops beneath your feet… scary but cool. In addition, there were inside mat slides.
3. Inside Swimming Pool – I never found a great spot to swim inside Great Wolf Lodge although there is an area you can sort of swim. Epic has a decent size pool with basket ball nets in the middle of the venue
4. Prices – Locker and food prices are lower at Epic Waters. Obviously admission price for Epic is way less, but then again you don’t get a hotel room.
5. Crowds (my experience) – could easily find a chair or table throughout our visit. There was virtually no line for all of the water slides except the green tube slide – and that one only had 4 to 8 tubes waiting max. Contrast this to Great Wolf where we waited 30+ minutes to ride the Tornado and there was usually at least a 20 minute wait for all of the water slides (over holiday summer weekend)
Great Wolf Lodge Pros
Look – Great Wolf has way more to do than Epic Waters. No contest. That said, as a water park, there are pros and cons vs Epic. A few notes below.
1. Inside Wave Pool – the Wave Pool at Great Wolf is inside. The Wave Pool at Epic is outside. So in the winter no wave pool at Epic
2. Ninja water steps – I have no idea the correct label for this, basically the kids have to cross a pool using an overhead rope and slippery moving stepping things that look like logs or floaties. Great Wolf has these both inside and outside
3. Hot tubs – Great Wolf has multiple heated water areas; didn’t see any at Epic
4. Adult only area – Great Wolf had an adult only inside water area
5. Large outdoor pool area – includes water basketball, water volleyball, a bar, music, 2 water slides that are for single or double tube riders. Epic just has a Wave Pool outside, nothing else
6. Larger area for smaller kids under 5
7. Comfortable seating … even on a holiday weekend you could always find an open seat. Finding an open table was more difficult but not impossible inside. And Great Wolf seating is more comfortable – can semi-lounge and uses mesh chairs instead of plastic. Loungers outside too.
8. Inside comfortable temps – It was over 100 degrees F outside when we visited Great Wolf but it was very pleasant inside. They obviously have some serious insulation in the roof and maybe have inside A/C too.
9. Non Swimming stuff – A few things at Great Wolf include Magiquest (just look it up, it’s pretty awesome for kids), build a bear, outside ropes course with zip lines, and they are building a gem mining thing now. Also with multiple restaurants and food options, less need to wait for food if there is a line near the pool.
10. Allergy friendly foods – Great Wolf has gluten free pizza, and their buffet restaurant has some awesome people that will custom make foods for allergy needs. I saw zero allergy friendly comfort foods at Epic – but they had healthy options pool side.
11. Crowds – my gut feeling based on Epic Water reviews and my own experience at Great Wolf Lodge as there is less risk at Great Wolf of every seeing too much over crowding – but in the winter when outside pool is closed, maybe that risk is higher.
12. Towels. Great Wolf Lodge offers free towels as part of the hotel guest experience. At Epic Waters - make sure to bring your own towels.
Epic Waters Details
I wanted to elaborate on a few things about our experience at Epic Waters.
Crowds
The venue was just about empty when we got there after 10:00a on Saturday AM – weekend before Thanksgiving. I expected lines of people waiting to get in but I was wrong. In fact, the place felt fairly empty and roomy until 12:00p. And I never felt like it was more than moderately crowded. Flow Rider maxed out at 7 people waiting per side. And the lines for the water slides maxed out at 4 tubes waiting for the green water slide and less than that for all other water slides. Plenty of open seating right up until we left at 4p. Lazy River, pool, etc – not over crowded.
Cleanliness
Generally Epic Waters was very clean. The one exception is that when we showered late in the day there appeared to be a tiny bit of poo in the shower stall near the wall. I understand that accidents with kids can happen – and I told one of the staff members who appeared to take immediate action and I would assume got the accident cleaned up. Kind of gross, kind of understandable.
Food
I paid $7 for my cheese burger, kids got 2 slides of pizza and some mac n cheese for $12. It was reasonably priced. $3 for a fruit cup, $5 for a salad. No lines on my visit. A separate bar in the swimming area was open too. We had no trouble bringing in our own permanent water bottles and getting them filled inside.

The Staff seemed like they liked their jobs and wanted to be there. They were attentive, answered questions, helpful, etc. Some amusement parks you can tell the staff are there for a job and they would rather be anywhere but there… but I didn’t get that vibe at Epic.
So, would I go back? I think so. But the past negative reviews tell me there is some risk if crowds are too much or if it’s too hot of a day.
Some suggestions for Epic Waters Management
1. Implement a website or mobile app crowd busy-ness indicator to let people know that it’s safe to visit, or if certain days are getting booked up and people should expect large crowds. The reality is based on prior negative reviews, people are already expecting large crowds – I think this can help alleviate fears
2. Put in some lounge chairs. If I’m going to go baby sit my kids, I want to be comfortable without spending $200 (weekend) for a Cabana.
3. Based on prior reviews with it being too hot inside during the summer, maybe add a web-based real time inside temperature for people to see and you to show a graph over time that it’s comfortable inside… and if this shows a trend in the summer of inside 90+ F temps, then it’s time to consider some inside air conditioning (assuming you don’t have it already which I have no idea about – it was cold when I visited)
The end 😊

My daughter won a gift card, so we (a family of 5) decided to give it a try. It's definitely an expensive day. Even with the $100 gift card, we spent about $90 (for a 5th ticket, penalties for not living in Grand Prairie, taxes, locker, and lunch); so not sure we'd go without a coupon or free tickets again. We went on a Friday. when most kids are in school, which is definitely the way to go to avoid the crowds. We arrived promptly at 10am, making a broad selection of seating available to us. We chose a nice spot in the middle, where we could have good visibility of most of the park. There are 5 main areas of attraction- boogie boarding/surf wave, lazy river (which sometimes become a wave pool), a playpool with basketball goals and an anchored play shark, the big water slides (you must be 48" to ride all of them and at least 70 pounds to ride the one that drops straight down), and the playscape (for toddlers and smaller children). There is definitely something for everyone, no matter what your "thrill" level is. There are also a variety of life jackets available (free of charge) for the youngest visitors. The customer service was impeccable the day we went; everyone from the person who searched our bag; they will confiscate any "contraband" (outside food or beverages), the girl at the ticketing counter, the lifeguards (always very diligently scanning in patterns; I wondered if their necks hurt at the end of the day?!!), custodians, to the food service people. The temperature was great. When we arrived, you could feel the heat was on and the water was warm to get into. As the day progressed, they opened some of the windows (it was about 40 degrees outside that day), creating some chilly spots. Overall, however it was comfortable until about 3pm. At that point, we noticed the kids' lips were turning blue, they were shivering, and it was time to go. The lockers were great (they offer a variety of sizes and prices), as well as the bathrooms and dressing rooms. I would recommend shoes for the changing areas, because there are showers in every single one of them and the floors were wet. You're not allowed to wear shoes on any of the water slides, however. The cabanas appeared nice and do create a sense of privacy if that's what you're looking for, although we did not rent one. We were there through the lunch hour and did wind up buying lunch, but regretting it later. We ordered a cheese pizza (which was completely burnt. I would have returned it and asked for another if my kids hadn't have pounced on it like a murder of crows)! We also ordered a pretzel which was cold and hard in the time it took to reach our table. The nachos were your "stadium variety" GMO-chips with coagulated cheese. They were edible, but gross. And a fruit cup, which was awesome (strawberries, cantelope, honeydew, and grapes) . They also gave us each a water cup for free. (They did offer a couple varieties of salads, chicken, burgers, and hotdogs). Not enough gluten-free or vegetarian options, in my opinion, especially since they force you to buy food there (if your're going to stay any length of time, which you feel obligated to, after spending so much money on the tickets!) I would like to see a variety of healthy items, and something organic! No healthy options for drinks (other than the previously mentioned water), only soda, alcohol, or energy drinks.

I went there with my family and had a great time.
I would recommend it. They have somre really fun rides.

We took the kids to the park over the summer for the first time.
First, the number of people packed into this relatively small waterpark was unbelievable. Don’t know what the legal maximum capacity is but they had to be above the legal limits. There is no way the few lifeguards could monitor and control the breaking in lines for the few slides. It was a free for all for the few minutes we stayed before leaving.
Epic, please reconsider your capacity guidelines and quantity of lifeguard staff for the sake of your long term success and safety of the kids.

The waterpark is really small. More so for small children. Definitely not teenagers. There is only 1 place to order and receive food. The line was pretty long and in the walking area. There really was nowhere else for people to stand. One ride was shut down for a tournament and off limits to everyone else. There really isn't much to do.... It was nice but not worth the it.

We took our special needs son on a Sunday and we absolutely love this place! The service from all of the staff was impeccable. We were very impressed with the lifeguards on how they were scanning the water and pool areas, it was a busy day at the water park because teachers were allowed in for free.
Even though it was crowded, the place is kept clean and organized.
We ate lunch and enjoyed the Epic Dogs, my husband especially loved them! Loved the fact that they have lockers and also bathrooms that offer showering for when you are ready to head home or on to your next venture in your family vacation/staycation!
Epic Waters is so much more reasonable than their competitors, no need to pay for a hotel room in order to utilize the water park. This was probably one of the BEST ideas the City of Grand Prairie ever followed thru on, you won't be sorry!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Dallas for my 36th birthday. The first day we went to Six Flags then decided to visit this waterpark. First off it is only a $22.00 admission price if you are a resident of Grand Prairie, TX otherwise it is $36.00. Their website does not say that or even mention that there are two different prices. So we were quite shocked when we had to spend $12.00 extra, when we only expected to spend $22.00. Most slides have a height requirement of 48 inches. They do have a kids play area.
The two tallest and most intense rides, you must weigh between 99-300 lbs. I have been to Hurricane Harbor and rode the ride where the floor drops out from underneath you. Goodness gracious, Hurricane Harbors does not have a massive loop to it. I wasn't able to see clearly until after the loop due to the amount of water in my eyes.
The life guards are super attentive and are always watching the water and are nice. It was worth the money. I enjoyed myself and so did my girlfriend.

So we didn't plan ahead and buy tickets online. I recommend everyone do that! We were turned away...but came back late in the day and got in. We had to wait in line for maybe 30 minutes. Once inside we got on about every attraction. It is larger in the photos than in person, but still plenty to do. It was a bit crowded at first,...but since we were there late in the day/evening...it cleared up. We had a blast.

My husband had a tour of the facility for an upcoming event and the staff was absolutely amazing! They were very informative and gave us great customer service. Thank you to our tour guide Brent W, Ms Connie G and Tamara O. We looking forward to coming back to Epuc Waters! 😊

This is a great way to enjoy the waterpark in Texas heat. had a great time with family with lots to do. I suggest arriving early to get good tables/seating vs. spending a lot of money reserving a cabana. The only thing I wish was that they allow you to bring in your own food. You have to buy food there... you can only bring baby food/formula, or food for people with food allergies. Otherwise, a nice place to visit at a great price.

I took my 7 year old, mommy and son day. The staff was welcoming, the place was being COVID level cleaned, service was excellent. Even though most of the staff are teenagers, everyone was engaging and friendly. They were great with my son, very kind which is VERY important to me. Would attend a million more time!

It doesn’t matter how nasty Texas weather serves you, this place will make you forget it. Plenty of fun and food for all ages. Food looked good and arcade was just right.

There are tubes, slides, lazy river, FLO Rider, Arcade, and food! Loved being able to float on the lazy river, rent our own cabana and relax!

Ridiculous admission policy. Have to pay admission fee (same as cost of using the water park features) to just monitor your child while they try to have fun in a crowded location. So double cost of admission as an adult if you are not planning to get in the water. Even worse if you come for a birthday party and have to pay same cost of admission so that your child can attend a birthday party. No thank you Epic. There are better ways to spend money than to ensure rudeness of the staff. Just lost business from this family forever.

HOOOOOOTTT INSIDE & HOOOOTTTT OUTSIDE! Stay in the water as much as possible b/c it gets extremely HOT inside this place to the point of passing out!!! The water activities are great for the family. However, you can't get out of the water because your going to faint...of which I saw someone who did. They really need to work on their climate control.

We had such a great time at Epic Waters! The staff was amazing, the place was extremely clean and the water slides we lots of fun! We had a large party and everyone had a great time! I would highly recommend this place! Definitely going to go back!

We went on a Sat afternoon with a two kids (4 & 5). It was crazy packed full of people! Picture Black Friday shopping at Wal-mart packed...
Your kids need to be taller than 42 inches to make it worth your while. They can ride some of the larger slides at that height. At 48 inches they can ride most of the other slides with the exception of a couple of the really extreme ones. If your kids are shorter than 42 inches, it is probably not worth the money. The "little kids area" is ok, but not enough to hold their interest for more than hour. They lazy river is fun, but it gets soooo crowed in there that it becomes a battle for survival!
Overall it is a decent place and both my kids had fun and were worn out after 4 hours. For us parents it was a bit intense due to the sheer number of people and having to be on "high alert" the entire time so we didn't lose a child. I probably won't be back until the kids are older.

I purchased tickets to breakfast with Santa for my kids. From the moment we arrived the staff took great care of us. Getting breakfast and doing the activities was super easy even with my three kids.
The waterpark is also great. The design is awesome the kids had a blast doing on the slides and getting into the lazy river and everything was well laid out.
For the price this is a great experience

Had a great time. Was overcast so the top wasn’t open. We had a great time and recommend this for any size family.
Get there early to ensure a place to sit.

I went with my kids and their family. We bought tickets online ahead of time which made our wait time shorter plus a guaranteed entry to Epic Waters. They fill up very fast ! They do a bag check on everything brought in which I find that so awesome for everyone's safety. They have lockers you can rent for your valuables, plus great tables and chairs for relaxing and meals. The rides were incredible. So many things to do! They also have an AWESOME LAZY RIVER with Free Tubes! The smaller Kids zone was incredible, slides, water splashing... Great food and sodas at the food court!! Great Gift shop and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Epic Waters also has a game room with so many games for all ages! We all had such a great time and looking forward to next year when we return. I Forgot to mention, but you can rent a cabana for your own private party ! That is what we are doing next year!

So it is truly upsetting trying to purchase tickets online when they don't accept debit cards. Not knowing this because it is not posted on their site. I attempted using my phone several times and then from my computer. Each told me that my purchase could not be processed. When I spoke with someone on the phone they were not very professional about and told me that it doesn't like debit cards. If they are a facility that sales out so fast there need to be several options to purchase tickets online. I'm just saying.

This place is awesome! Lifeguards are everywhere and professional, there is lots to do here for any age.

I am not normally a fan of water/theme parks, but I had a blast today! I decided to take 5 of my nieces and nephews to the park and they all loved it. Every member of the staff was great! We were greeted by at least 3 different staff members before we even got into the front door. I stopped Chris (Director of Guest Services) to tell him how impressed I was with everyone and he seemed genuinely appreciative of the compliment. The pricing of the concessions was surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely be back. I was expecting total chaos and overpriced everything, but that was not the experience. Definitely check it out!

This is the best Flowrider in the USA. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is clean and open all year round.

The environment is amazing lots of good vibes I will come again soon. Highly recommended to go the family.

such an awesome place fire the family to go!! me and my friends had a blast and even though the slide selection was limited, the slides were amazing! there was great food, drinks, and yea!

We went for my birthday and had a blast! The lifeguards were really active, monitoring well, and friendly, which is a huge deal to me as a former lifeguard and lifeguard trainer and supervisor at another local water park. The park was nice and clean. Every employee we came encountered with were so nice and helped in anyway possible. I will definitely be going back.

Like any park - pros and cons. Here are all the things I wish I would have known and prepared for. First, I took two boys ages 10 & 11. I pre-purchased tickets on line several days before (as suggested on the site). However, upon arrival, you stand in the same line as everyone else and the lines are not well organized and a bit chaotic. We were in line about 20 minutes to check-in even though we did everything ahead of time. Second, I bought tickets for the boys, not for myself as I wasn't going to actually enter the water. I was planning to sit and be on site as the chaperone. I was shocked to learn this is not allowed. I had to buy a $39 ticket to enter and literally sit. I wish I would have known this ahead of time. Most kids parks allow at least one adult in that isn't participating but responsible for the minors. Next, yes this is an indoor park but it is extremely hot and humid. The windows of the dome are slightly open and the heat is tremendous. The only air conditioned space is the arcade with one small bench that about 4 average size adults could share. The only place to get a non-alcoholic beverage is the concession stand. After standing in line for over 30 minutes just to get a water, we quit. I read on line you can't bring your own food and drink in so I didn't bring any back up plan. Now I know you can leave the building and re-enter so get a cooler to keep in your car to store drinks, snacks, etc. The kids overall had fun but after 90 minutes due to the crowds and heat they were beat and we left. I can't comment on the food as we never actually got to the counter or the lockers (sold out) or the bathrooms (lines were really long). If you go, be prepared. There were many adults and grandparents crowded into the arcade trying to get out of heat. This park could be great but there should be a place (with AC) for the grand-parents and parents to sit while their kids play.

Arrived right when we opened. Line to get tickets went super quick. Inside the park there is a large amount of tables and chairs and plenty of life jackets for the kids. Every person I came in contact with was very friendly and willing to help. Lockers were also available for a small fee.
The food wasn't overpriced and was very good for a Waterpark.
By about 2, the park was becoming more crowded but it was not to the point that it was annoying. Our kids had a blast and well definitely be back!

Not many things to do, and the slides without tubes created massive scratches on my back. Not to metion that I got stuck on their ride with the loop...

My daughter was invited to a birthday party and I went to assist with keeping an eye on some of the kids. After reading some reviews, I was honestly dreading the entire event. However, we had a great time; most negative things did Not prove to be true. Maybe as the park has been open longer, things have improved. This was a Monday in August. Ample free close parking. Virtually no wait to get in, less than 3 minutes. Area was not overcrowded-we were able to get two covered tables with chairs right next to each other. There was plenty of room to get around without feeling like you were cramped. The wait for slides wasn’t too long. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Especially Israel the party host. Food was expensive, but this was expected. Overall, it was a fun visit!

Clean, fun for all ages, and taking precautions seriously with plenty of staff watching over the kids.

We really enjoyed Homeschool Monday at the Epic! It opens at 11am and the kids - ages 5-10 had a blast and never got tired of climbing the stairs to ride the slides over and over again! There was hardly anyone else there so it was kind of amazing! Everything was clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. It didn't seem quite as large on the inside as it looks in the photos etc and we finally realized the wave pool is outside but was not open the day we were there. They are all begging to go back as soon as possible!

My 4 year old son almost drowned at this "family friendly waterpark yesterday 3/26/22. The lifeguard was 6 feet away watching the whole incident from beginning to end and did NOTHING! He heard me scream in panic for help to save my son. He saw his tiny body pinned to the bottom of the splash pool, face down, motionless and with no way to get free because of the huge floating device intended for use in the floating river attraction, with two very heavyset females on it whose wights were the force crushing his small body against the pool bottom! This was in the splash area where the depth of the water was 0.9 feet so it was impossible to NOT see him drowning while nobody came to help me save him! There were at least 30 adults watching this, hearing my screams for help and ONE person finally came and helped me save his life! The lifeguard shrugged his shoulders and walked away when I asked why he didn't help me save my son,why these floating devices are allowed in this shallow area where they posed a danger to small children. The supervisor showed no empathy or understanding of the fact that my son had been submerged long enough to pose a risk to his life. His only response that he repeated numerous times was that they'd send the lifeguard for more training if they deemed it necessary. This park does not allow you to bring your own life jacket for your children yet they don't have enough to supply one for even half of the guests who need one. They state intoxicated guests will not be permitted in the pools yet alcohol is the only reason I can come up with for the females who were on the floating device crushing my son to not get off when I yelled for them to get off because they were pinning my sons body to the pools bottom. Even when I tried to flip the device over so I could free my son did they not get off. So unless they wanted to drown my boy which I choose not to believe, then being intoxicated out of their mind is the only reason I can think of to explain their behavior. Their weight was the reason I myself could not save my son and screamed for help, because they were too heavy for me to move. This place doesn’t enforce their own safety regulations and their lifeguards are not there to save anyones life or prevent harm to anyone! My daughter was hurt an hour before my son almost drowned in the splash pad area by a child who was climbing on the outside of one of the water slides who fell from about 4 feet onto my daughters face as she was coming down the slide. Again a so called lifeguard watched the whole incident without as much as flinching to prevent the accident and she didn't even come and ask my daughter if she was ok. I was standing between both slides as my son was coming down the other slide so my eyes didn't catch the exact moment of impact to my daughter but since my daughter was crying too hard to tell me what happened I asked the lifeguard 3 steps away from me. She told me exactly what happened in detail of what happened but with a very obvious disinterest and annoyance for me asking her questions. When I asked who was assigned to force safety rules of no climbing on the outside of the slides she arrogantly chuckled and said "it's not like anyone can stop them". I filed an incident report and complaint immediately after making sure my daughter was ok.. I am going to stop at nothing to have this place investigated and answer for their unacceptable and dangerous practices! I am contacting all the appropriate code and safety enforcers on Monday! Next step will be to file charges against everybody guilty of gross negligence and failure to intervene in a life and death situation.

Wonderful family fun place! It was clean and the water was refreshing! The wave pool was the perfect amount of excitement. The large children's area was great for the kids and kept them entertained for hours. Plenty of seating and delicious drinks! Highly reccomend!

7th grade child birthday party. This place was great. The kids had a lot of fun on the different slides and lazy river. The only slide that was not working was the Laso Loop. The check in was easy and the birthday child received a pass for a free return trip in the future. We went in the winter and the indoor temp was comfortable. The water temp to me was on the chilly side. It was easy to get a tube; however, on a really busy day this might be a problem. The staff was good and for the most part was very attentive to the clients, especially if there was a safety issue. The party package we picked gave a $3 card for the arcade; however, the cost of the games only allowed the kids to play one game without having to increase the credits on the card.

I give it a 4 star because there is room for improvement - firtst with the Great- Great friendly staff! Because of them i may go again withought lil ones if im ever able to get a sitter- the water is so warm room temperature is right - from the cleaning crew to the life guards yar the best! And the security - id like to say the entry needs to be better searched with big beach bags as i carried just saying -one life guard in kiddie slides told me i could not go down the kiddie slide with my three year old as my three year old kept crying he wanted to and im the mommy! so come on i inderstand older people alone should not be wondeing arround the kids section if not with a small child but it was basically boring especially since the water was too high and it was my sons first time he basically just walked arround and sat in the water and the lazy river im glad was not 5 feet as i had read somewhere- i was not gonna allow my three year old down the slide alone to deink or inhale water, hopefully that changes- food was good again friendly staff- restrooms need more room for changing it was very crowed even the walking arround just had to keep eye on people from steppin or shoving my three year old in and out the water- n yes there are a few rude guests so sad to say some grown ups that know better but dont behave respectfully- the surfing 🏄♀️ part is the most exciting gives you a chance to get the feel of surfing- i thought there was more walking space areound the water park like Bahama Beach but i think its in process i hear and hope - i like the way i was able to pay and skip the line because i was paying by card at entry- i didnt get to ride the slides would be nice to have a out of water play area for children to play supervised by their older siblings with qualified staff and cameras so that parents can enjoy themselves on the slides which i did not get to ride :/- then reclaim your children like at chuckie cheeses with a stamp or something- lol That would make any a Five star waterpark! Great and only indoor water park yet to get away from this chilly weather! Thanks for making such water park as this! Closes to getting away to the beach when lots of canceled flights this spring break!

This place is just awesome. Friendly staff, from the front desk to the lifeguards and concession personnel. Kid-land and lazy river were the best for my kids. Slides were great as well. The Flowrider had awesome ride times. Would recommend giving Epic Waters a try.

We decided to visit Epic Water Park this winter, 4 Adults & my 5 year old Granddaughter. The people inside the park were super friendly, the park is very clean & Marvel to behold, there is something for all ages in the park, I'm sure we will be coming back.

This place was huge! So much fun! It was mostly clean a few spots in the bathroom were questionable (people can be gross). But over all clean, good food, lots of things to ride or just hang out on the lazy river. This place is so big it doesn't make you feel overly crowded in by people. The staff was very kind and helpful! Will def be back!

The entire team at Epic Waters made everything easy. Pricing and adding guests was a little confusing, but once I understood it wasn't a problem. We did our party on a Friday night, and it was if we had a private party. It was awesome, for us we didn't need the party room for long but it was nice to have. They did all the set up and break down, served the food, and played music for the kids to have a dance party.

Will return next year the kids love it .The food line was a little long but my grand kid did not mind. We are from champaign il.

Highly recommend the $99 deal for family of four. Includes swim, pizza, cola and to bucks of game cards otherwise a bit expensive. Kids loved this place and free parking too.

Our children (11 and 8) have recently begun to enjoy waterparks, so we were happy to find this indoor water park to try at this time of year! The water and air temperature were good and there were lots of slides and activities to keep us busy. It wasn't very busy, which was really nice. Most of the staff seemed very friendly and chatty.
Our only slightly negative comment is that when you get off the slides, it is a long and not direct walk back to get on it again. Also, we wished there were more access points for the lazy river. It seemed like there was a lot of out-of-water time spent just getting to where you wanted to be.
We were glad to get a deal for the kids the day of our visit. Otherwise, the price is a bit high for adults who spend most of their time just supervising their children.
It would be nice if you could bring in your own snacks. We were fine paying for lunch, but I would prefer to buy lunch and also be able to bring some fruit and snacks as well. We appreciated they gave us cups of tap water with our meal and didn't require us to buy bottled water.

Not worth going ,extremely crowded ,long lines 45 min just to get in there .1 line outside and 2 lines inside just to get inside. Long lines to get on slides. The kids area is crowded not only with kids but with adults also that are just hanging around because there is no where else to go. everything is crammed in to one spot.long lines to buy food and it was very hot and humid , felt like an oven.spare your self and your kids a headache go somewhere else.It was so bad my son told me he wanted to go home already.the only thing we did like was the arcade on the way out.please do not purchase annual admission until you have visited the water park first.believe me I'm glad I did. Have a nice day 😁

The park was honestly smaller than I expected, but it wasn’t overly packed for being a weekend and my kids were able to stay entertained entire time they were there, it is a little up there in price Unless you live in Grand Prairie but it was nice being able to play in the water during the cold winter months and the temperature was perfect in there

I live near the Wisconsin Dells "the waterpark capital" and I loved this waterpark. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and the slides are great. The park has mostly body slides and 2 tube slides. My favorite was the lazy river. The food prices weren't outrageous and the temperature inside was perfect.

This place never disappoints! So much to do and see! Fun slides, we especially like the racing slides. It was a little crowded but that was to be expected as people were looking for relief from the heat. It could have been a little cleaner but with a giant public swimming place, I don't know how you achieve spotlessness. The staff was excellent and were very aware and the lifeguards were also very alert!

This place is a hidden gem!!! We visited the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was a FABULOUS place for our family. They have things to do for every age, and even my 10 year old went down the orange and yellow fast slide. The place is immaculate from the water, to the walking areas to the bathrooms. There was absolutely no trash anywhere, no hint of mildew on anything and the bathrooms were extremely clean. They did have a shower area which we used. They had a bar for adult drinks and a food and snack bar that served VERY good burgers, good portion size also. Overall, this was an awesome place, and we stayed all 9 hours (11-8pm).

Me and my family love this place Marcus was a huge help so attentive every time we came in to attentive as he was the only one there we would come back just for him

We took my 10 year old daughter and her friend on a saturday and arrived at 10:15. The lines were short but by noon the place was packed. The lines were long, the pool was crowded and could not avoid bumping into people in the lazy river. Besides the overcrowding they had a blast. I liked how there was a mixture of teens and adults working there. A wide variety of food to pick from typically priced for a waterpark. A full bar for the adults was a plus. Since it’s indoors there is really no bad place to sit. They open windows which helps with the chlorine smell.
I like how the place was small enough to find your kids but big enough for them to have fun for hours. We stayed for 5 hours.
My only suggestion would be to expand the facilty or decrease the capacity.

You have to go to Epic Waters with the intention of going to an indoor water park. I know that's kind of a big ole "duh" but don't expect short lines and small crowds...it is a popular attraction! The city of Grand Prairie has done a great job setting this up... However, if you can afford it, reserve a cabana. That way, you don't have to stand in line for food, or drinks. Our server, Josh, and his trainee Moustapha, were fantastic! We're were there for almost 12 hours and they never failed to be happy, polite, and ready to serve!! Please go, but go with the right frame of mind. The water slides/tubes are amazing! You will have a great time....

Was disappointed in how many were allowed in park. Very few tables available at 1:00 other than cabanas which were too expensive. No social distancing due to amount of people in park and we were too close many times. No masks while guests were walking around. No distancing waiting in lines and there were little floats for which made lines longer. Never saw any floats being wiped down either. It was extremely hot in the park as well until late in afternoon. Friendly staff but not enough of them due to the size of crowd. Best part was the game room. We went there to cool off and to get away from rides with too long of lines for a while.

This was our first time here. The lifeguards are always watching and do a great job. It's a little pricey so we went in the evening when it's discounted and I am glad we did. It was smaller than I thought and not much to do, a lazy river, small pool area, and lots of slides and boogie board area. Small wave pool outside but was too cold to use. So the place is fun for couple hours but save your $ go in the evening. In my opinion not worth the nearly 30$ they charge to get in.

Epic Waters is a great place to cool off especially during the hot Texas summer days. I like hanging out the Lazy River. It's so much relaxing. Most of the rides have really short lines. Some are high and fast for those seeking a thrill. They have cabanas for rent right in the middle of the park. You can get food & drinks (yes they have a Bar) delivered in those cabanas. It's just so convenient!

This place is new, it should be cleaner. Men's changing area was gross. Clean the showers please. Locker rental was way overpriced too. There was around 1500 people there, but overcrowding begins at about 1000. We were on a bus, so we had no choice on expensive lockers and over crowded area. Locals can come enjoy and just not go on busy days. They can come dressed and not have to store things. All the chairs were full of people's stuff, but they were in the pool, so no place to sit and no room in the water. Parking was not designed for big vehicles either. Buses and campers beware. There was a lot of security so we did feel safe despite the crowd. Go early before the long lines is my best advice. Come in your swim suit. Leave everything in the trunk of your car.

My 5yo grandson enjoyed the park. Was impressed with the attentiveness of lifeguards. The restrooms we not cleaned or attended too (trash full, no soap) and would have liked to see the food consessions use more eco friendly products with the plates, straws, utensils and cups

Love coming here! The park is well maintained and the employees are so friendly! On top of that, their food is pretty tasty! We would definitely go back again!

Short family trip during spring break.
Took the kids later in the afternoon during the week. It wasn’t too crowded. The kids had a great time. There is also an arcade for the kids to play video games.

Epic waters is a ton of fun! We spent the whole day there and never ran out of things to do. The kids (ages 10 and 11) had an absolute blast and were so worn out at the end of the day. From the loop slide to the lazy river, the park is well designed for fun. The food was fantastic and the bar is a nice touch for the adults.

This place was great when it first opened in the morning but by about 2 or 2:30 it was a mess and you could barely move it was so crowded. Food was decently price.

We went on a weekday. Tuesday. Weather outside was high 80’s not so hot so water park inside was not that bad either. Family of 4 with kids 10 year old. First: parking was great, plenty of parking and the best is that they do not charge for parking versus so many amusement parks. Easy way to get in and easy way to get out. Now the lines to get in were not that bad but please take into account that it was a Tuesday. I cannot imagine the lines on weekends. One thing I did not find worthy at all was to buy the tickets way before hand online. It really doesn’t matter at all because you have to make exactly the same long line with the people that are just buying the tickets that day. We thought they will have like a faster line or special line for customers that buy online but not. So you have to wait like everybody else. Once we got in we went to the changing rooms which are decent and clean but wet and slippery so be very careful. Then if you want to secure your belongings which we strongly advice you have to pay $12 for the locker; we think this is very expensive on top of the $30 per ticket for no resident. Now the rides: there are rides for all the levels of adventure. They seem safe and the staff are nice even though is very slow all the process. I counted many times and be prepared to wait 1 minute 30 seconds for every person in front of you. Again we were on a Tuesday so lines were not that long like 10 to 15 people in front of us so about 30 minutes waiting time for every ride. Not that bad. But this thing on weekends for sure is 45 min to 1 hour. Some areas are not clean. You see hair everywhere. Those fake nails. People spit in the floor which is so gross and you have to be barefoot because they don’t allow to use any kind of shoes even though we saw people wearing all kind of water shoes. Sandals. Socks. Underwear. Bras. Jeans shorts. T-shirts. Is like they don’t have any swimming wear code at all. They should really enforce this better. The chlorine smell is brutal. If you are sensitive or allergic to it please do not go. It is really strong but we understand that it has to be like that to avoid any spreading of germs or bacteria. But be aware. There is an area for toddlers and little kids that seems fun but remained packed all the time. When you want to ride a flume that requires a tube you have to make two lines. One line to get the tube and another line to ride the flume. So be aware - all this adds up time. But some rides are really worthy and very cool. You just have to be patient. One thing we enjoyed a lot was the lacy river. Is very long and some areas move very fast. You can also swim at your own pace and relax. Very cool. The food prices are not that bad. Not cheap but not extremely expensive either; be prepared to spend on average $10 more per person in food (I’m posting prices pics below). Overall we spent about 5 hours in this park. Kiddos loved it which is the most important thing. We took showers at the end. Every bathroom has several showers so you can remove the TON of chlorine from you. Finally since the kids enjoyed so much we will definitely be back but on weekdays - we will never attempt trying to go on weekends since surely it will be another different story.

I brought my 10 yo and my 16 yo boys here, not really knowing what to expect. It was clean, including the rest rooms, and oh so much fun. We were there 5 hours and loved every minute. The slides were enormous, and one of my boys said he could feel the warm air as the path of the slide actually led outside and then back in and down. And, there is an outside wave pool. The arcade is quite cool, well maintained and oodles of fun. There is lots of normal fast food and drinks. It is a bit stuffy inside the water park, but when you are in the water it doesnt bother you. Keep in mind, unless you live in Grand Prairie, this is not a cheap day out.

I am so excited that this waterpark was built here. The twilight option is great for families worth a limited budget and the cheese pizza is amazing!!!

This park is geared to kids ages 3-9. If your kids are older than 10 and have been to other water parks (i.e. Hawaiian Falls), they will be disappointed with this park. They only have 2 slides that uses a double person float, 1 slide w/ mats, and a couple of other slides without floats and one of them was closed off. I saw a girl get stuck at the top of one slide. The lazy river is short and shallow--only 3 feet deep. The pool is small and gets crowded easily. After the slides and Flo-Rider, we were ready to leave in 2 hours. The women's shower was dirty with hair all over the walls and the $3 hot dog tasted like cardboard--inedible. We won't go back and I don't recommend this for kids over 10.

Epic Waters is really pretty awesome! I can only give it four stars, though. I'll explain further down. But, first the pros!
Our kids are 12, 11, and 9. All three had a lot of fun and enjoyed the entire park (except the little kid pool area). The park is clean! That's big for me. It really was cleaner than I expected, from the bathrooms to the actual park. Waterpark bathrooms are always a little meh, but these were clean! I do wish they had a dry side and a wet side. Not fun to have to sit on a wet toilet seat when you're dry. No clumps of hair around, tables are clean, and it appears overall well kept.
The cost is reasonable, in my opinion. There are plenty of things to keep you busy. Our favorites were for sure the Flowrider and the big slides. I wish they would give first timers on the flowrider a second chance to go. When you're learning and you get out there and then mess up 20 seconds into your turn, you go to the end of the line and wait another 20 minutes. But, the people who are experienced get to be out there a while. So I'm not sure I agree with that policy, really. But, the star of the show was the young man running the Flowrider. This guy was great. He enjoys people and his job and you can tell. He helped people learn and everyone seemed to have a good time during their turn. Another pro is the bar! Brilliant, really! Reasonably priced, too. Fun for mom and dad! On the tube situation: no, there aren't tons of tubes. And this makes perfect sense! Only one can be going down the slide at a time anyways. So, you wait until someone is coming off, get a tube from them, then you go up. This creates a small line downstairs, at the ride exit, rather than up the stairs where the ride starts. Smart! You sorta have to figure this out on your own so that's why I wanted to mention it. They could hang a sign or the guards could explain better. We went on a Saturday at 10:15 and it was a perfectly manageable crowd! It actually wasn't crowded at all. No wait for the slides. Of course it got busier as the day went on. Also, on the towel situation: No, they don't provide them, which I was totally fine with (helps with the tidiness of the facility, I think). But! If you're like me and forgot to pack yours (coming in from out of town), go to target! I grabbed bath towels for $3.50/each! Phew! Big save...beach towels would have been so much more expensive (target had none anyways) and for sure in the gift shop!
Now the con. The cafe. The folks working that cafe appear to simply hate their jobs, people, or both. How miserable they all seemed. Annoyed to have to help me with my very simple order, or to hand me a ketchup packet after I asked in a kind, polite way. The pizza was awful. Don't order it. The onion rings were decent. We didn't try anything else. It was all reasonably priced, but man that pizza was awful. It is unfortunate that such a neat attraction has such a black eye when it comes to customer service and experience. And that's for sure an entire star, maybe two, but I'm being nice because overall we had fun!

My husband and I brought our 6 year old daughter here on Sunday April 22. The staff were very helpful, there were plenty of lifeguards and wait times were reasonable. All of the slides were great, the children's area had plenty to keep our daughter busy, including 3 nice water slides and a big bucket that dumps water over everyone.
I loved the lazy river! Very relaxing, especially earlier in the day before it got crowded.
Food was good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
A few suggestions for improvement:
1) please put some ashtrays outside so smokers have a place for their cigarette butts.
2) It would be nice to restrict the lazy river to people in tubes. There were a bunch of kids just racing each other around the loop without tubes and they interfered with people who just wanted to float along.

I live in the area and wanted to take my 6 year old granddaughter to Epic WAters. I had heard that it was a great place ; but could get very crowded. I called and inquired about Twilight swim. It is from 4-9 pm on Sunday through Thursday nights. Look on their calendar to view if they are having ‘twilight swim’. It was not crowded at all! You can not buy twilight tickets on line. Must do in person. $14 each.
Food was tasty and reasonably priced. There were plenty of tubes in the lazy river. EVERYONE that worked there was courteous and professional. Lots of lifeguards and very clean! We had a memorable time!

Pre purchased tickets as recommended but you still had to wait in a huge line to enter. No signs to tell you where anything is so you ask and no one wants to help you . We found a table after not to much trouble. 2 out of 6 slides were closed . The wave pool outside was closed . With the other things closed that put a ton of people in the lazy River and other slides creating long lines. Long lines that were not worth waiting in to ride the slide compared to other water parks. The Lazy River had 15 tubes - yes I counted. I spoke to three employees and they all said wait for a tube to come open. After 1 hour or waiting I decided to ask a manager. Same response ! Just wait! We drove 254 miles , paid $200 to get in and ended up walking around the Lazy River.
FYI if you are over 300 Lbs ( which I am not ) however I watched person after person being turned away from riding the slides. I heard a person say there was not one slide rated for over 300lbs.
Now I’m glad their safe but people should know this before they go. We have been to several water parks that will allow people up to 350 ride so keep shopping if this is you .
Seating fills up fast but there is a lot of seating inside and outside.
If your local and don’t want to travel maybe this is worth $50 a day but for us it was an EPIC Fail.

We went to Epic Waters on March 23, 2019. It was by far, the highlight of our trip! It's hard to believe that this is run by the City of Grand Prairie. I must say, I was impressed the entire time. My 5-year-old son had a blast and my one-year-old daughter even played in the water. I love that there was an area they both could enjoy. So many times at waterparks, families have to be separated to enjoy the water activities, but this park is literally perfect for everyone. We will be coming back. FYI: don't sit on the edge of the pool with a drink though. We were kindly told we had to be 6 feet from edge - which we kindly obliged to do.

First off I have been going to EPIC since they opened. I stay 5 minutes away and it is l was a #1 idea of places to go when your bored. I will say... If your going to little kids WATCH THEM. This place is more for older teenagers and adults. Kids have to be watched. Me being a young adult I usually come with friend's tho a few times I have brought my niece and nephew, and had to carefully watch them. I usually go with my boyfriend and our friends and we have fun every time. It's worth the pay, rides are fun, food is okay, and it seems very lively inside. You feel epic when you go!! I will definitely be a forever member of EPIC WATERS! And time I invite a new person they have fun too!

Pros:
My daughter enjoyed the children's area and slides. It was nice for her to have slides that were appropriate for her age. The lazy river is long and enjoyable. There was plenty of seating. My husband and niece had a lot of fun on the big slides. We watched people surf which was entertaining. The lifeguards were attentive and did their jobs so it felt safe. We went during spring break when it was still cold outside so it was a nice fun indoor activity.
Cons:
It was expensive. The bathrooms were filthy. People left feminine pads, water bottles, hangers, tags, food trash etc. in the showers. Everything was wet so if you put down your bag on a chair in the bathroom it would be wet. It was hard to change back into dry clothing. They need more wall hooks in the stalls.
We live a good hour away from the water-park so we will probably not go again.

We had a blast! The staff from entry, to food, and lifeguards were so kind! Even though the rides were limited, the atmosphere was fun and friendly. We'll be back for Denver.

Our family traveled to Dallas and attended the NYE day at Epic. There was plenty to do to keep the whole family entertained, pool, basketball, water slides, snacks, etc. we had loads of fun and enjoyed the NYE entertainment.
The customer service was excellent, everyone was welcoming and kind. The instructor for the water slide was great answering questions.
One thing that stuck out was how clean this facility was. Bathrooms, floors, pool area all clean and well maintained. They even had the windows cleaned when we were there. It is apparent cleanliness is of importance at this water park.
Thanks for a great day!

Brought the kids here for a two day break. The park attractions kept them busy for both days and they had a great time. Admission price and food concessions were reasonable for what we got and the staff were polite. Life guards stationed everywhere added to the safety feature. All of the ride related features were great but I do have a few concerns.
Main one being the floor - it is flat concrete throughout with no grip concept anywhere. This allows water to sit and also pool between levels which creates a very slippery surface for a large crowd of adults and over excited kids. I saw three kids fall over back wards in the same place - basically the space in front of the kiddie section. I raised it to an employee but she was unsure of who to go to. Also, the steps throughout the kiddie climbing feature do not have any grip feature which creates the same risk. This really needs to be addressed.
Another design flaw is having the entrance - gift shop - arcade - ice cream stand - food concessions and restrooms all in one line. This creates a lot of congestion and over crowding.
Despite these observations we had a great time and really enjoyed the not so lazy river ! Be sure to buy tickets on line as they are always at capacity and you will have to watch the fun from the outside.

Went to visit and spend the day, at Epic Waters indoor waterpark. At time of writing this review, the facility has been open for about 8 to 10 weeks, so it is still brand new.
Soldout and reached capacity around midday on a Saturday.
We purchased out tickets in advance over the internet, which was a good move, because at the park, the line to wait for a ticket will depend on availability.
Park operates with a large amount of very young staff, which seems to have minimal training. We did experience seeing constantly people cutting in line to get onto the slides and tubes, mostly condoned by the staff... So either better training or adult supervision is required.
Food inside is sold, and not allowed to be brought from outside. Their offerings are limited and the quality is what you would expect at any small amusement attraction.
Did not spend the entire day as planned, because you can only go down the slides a few times before the novelty wears out.
A good option if you are in the area, but not worth travelling for hours to visit this place.

Loved the outdoor wave pool & after the lazy river (not necessarily in that order 😂) Great time !!!

We enjoy this water park. There are many activities for everyone to do. We got there early and stayed for a good portion of the day. We did not have to wait very long for the slides. Our favorite area is the wave pool outside. The great thing about EPIC is that if it is raining you can still do all of the indoor fun. Plenty of seating and tables. If you do go later in the day, the selection of seating is limited. The kids play area was clean and several lifeguards on duty. Food is pretty good. We only had the pizza, but it was good. They do serve alcohol, and the bartender does a good job on serving. There is an arcade as well, if you want that sort of fun as well. We do plan on going back soon.

Epic waters is a nice place. The semi transparent roof allows sunshine to come in and brightens the whole place up (much nicer than the great wolf lodge, in my opinion). The lines were pretty short, most 2-3mins and 15mins for the longest Iine. Lots of staff walking around keeping the place garbage free and keeping kids in line.
Be sure to bring sunglasses and sunscreen if you’re planning on sitting around bc there’s not a lot of covered areas and during the afternoon it feels as bright as outside.
hopefully it will stay relatively not crowded bc otherwise I’m not sure how worth it it would be then.

The park is affordable, clean and fun! Great water slides, boogie board ride, long lazy river. Bar and food items are reasonable. The arcade is fun and has great games. Very enjoyable for the whole family.

On Monday August 28thst I took my three grandkids (ages 10, 12 & 13) who were visiting from Germany and they were absolutely awestruck. It was fantastic. They went down almost every slide several times, floated the lazy river and never got tired. The ten-year-old got a free ice cream as it was her birthday which was a surprise. The facility was clean and safe for all. The highlight of the day was the “surfing area”. I was surprised they were brave enough to try that but they loved it. I must shout out kudos to Amaria the flow instructor there. She was very patient, Professional and cared about each and every child that wanted to ride the waves (surf). She explained everything to them and worked with each child to help them get better with each and every try. She cared about her job and the kids that she worked with. She is an asset to EpicWaters and the City of Grand Prairie. Her attitude was exceptional and there’s no doubt she will be successful later on as she follows her dreams.

Nice indoor water park. Pretty crowded, but what could one expect in the middle of this crazy, hot summer!!

I would like to start by saying that my experience at Epic Waters was amazing! My cashier Martin, was very helpful and attentive to all my questions. I even saw him help out his own co-workers with some questions, which made him stand out from the rest. For a second, I actually thought he was a supervisor or something since he displayed great leadership. I am a GM in TX and that type of attitude is what gets people promoted in my job. Overall, great food and great time spent here. Will come again to see my buddy Martin. By the way he gives the best tours! You guys should check him out! 10/10!

I took my 2 teenaged sons for the first time ever and we had a great time. They loved the surfing area and the arcade, too. One of the things I like about this place -- there's more to do than just slide over and over again. It is tough to keep bigger boys from getting bored too easily. They have pretty much outgrown the other area waterparks. TWO thumbs up!

OMG
Love it love it
Swimming in the Winter 80degrees temp it was great to be able to look outside at the cold weather and swim inside.

First time visiting this place, we arrive at 10:30am, and it was already crowded. I don’t know their capacity limits, but it is ridiculous. Lines are really long for lockers, for food and drinks, and of course for the slides. Not enough chairs.
Pool overly crowded. We won’t come back.

Well why on vacation we decided to check it on a Wednesday we booked tickets and a cabana in advance on arrival the moved us straight to check in and to the cabana the kept a picture of ice water and cups on the table and took any food or drink orders it was nice the we started riding the water slides they where full of excitement my sons enjoyed there selfs and my wife and I had a great time and then went out side and hung out in the wave pool it was a great place and we’ll definitely be going back
Great day at Epic Waters!
We really enjoyed our visit today with 3 generations, my mom and my 5 and 7 year old kids.
One big slide is 42" and the rest are 48", keep in mind no shoes are allowed on slides so make sure they are tall enough barefoot!
We went right at opening and stayed until about 330, I think the longest line we waited in was only about 20 minutes (and it was sold out!). Much shorter than other water parks on peak days, and no waiting in the searing sun!
A few notes - you can bring in water, but no food. The food options arent too bad, most meals around $10-$12. They have life jackets available and tubes for lazy river (youll need to stand at entrance and wait for someone to be done with one)
Nothing is allowed on big slides - no water shoes, goggles, lanyards with phones, they even made my son take off a rash guard! So just plan to get a locker or leave everything at your table.
Only complaint is that it seems overly complicated to walk from one spot to another. From the end of a slide back to the rafts and to the beginning of the line involves walking back and forth the length of park in several cases. But we wondered if that was part of what managed the line length, and after eating burgers we decided the walk was probably a good idea anyway.
Overall, a good day! It was fairly clean, staff was nice and helpful, kids loved the rides!
