I've been drinking Ferrari-Carano wines for years but had never visited the winery. The grounds are spacious and beautiful, and the wines are excellent, especially the reserve selections. In an era when so many wineries are now owned by conglomerates, Ferrari-Carano stands out as a family owned winery that cares about giving their best in gardens, wine making, and customer service.

Beautiful grounds. I'm a member there so the reserve room is a wonderful place to be at. First class treatment. Before becoming a member I was also treated very graciously in the upstairs retail bar/notions room.

The grounds are beautiful and inviting. The wine tasting was fun - including chatting with some other folks tasting their wine. We ended up shipping a mixed case at a great price. The shop had some fun items as well. Overall the folks working there were friendly - and we had a fun time. I only wish I could have gotten closer to the fountain. I am a gardener and really enjoyed walking through the gardens.

Ferrari-Carano wins our award for best gardens and grounds. The landscaping is nothing short of magnificent and their Pinot Grigio was best in class for the passport event.

Every time we visit Sonoma, we make sure to stop at Ferrari-Carano. The grounds alone are enough reason to make the trip. We spend at least an hour going through the gardens and exploring the bridges and flowers, that are all labeled so you know what you're looking at.
Inside the winery, you'll be able to taste both upstairs and down. The regular tasting upstairs is decent enough, but for a little extra you can go down into the cellar area and taste their library wines, which are sumptuous and delicious. We always end up buying something here!

Without a doubt, Ferrari-Carano is a beautiful winery, but don't look for the personalized attention and service you'll enjoy at the smaller Sonoma Valley vineyards. We went downstairs for a tasting at the Enoteca Wine Bar and waited almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. To their credit, their reserve wines are very good, and I was pleasantly surprised, since I've never been that impressed with the selections I've tried in restaurants back home. We bought half a case and asked for it to be shipped, and were told it would take over a month. Really? It takes that long to ship a few bottles? We received cases from other wineries within a few days of returning home from vacation. Glad we can say we went there, but doubt we'll ever go back.

The worst winery visit we’ve experienced. As a prepaid expensive “classic tasting,” it does not offer more than four very short pours of pre-chosen wines with fifteen-minute pauses between each. You will learn very little about vineyards or winemaking, but will be told repeatedly why you should pay to join their wine society. If you’re thinking of buying some wine, they will not offer you the chance to taste other wines, nor will anyone inform you about other choices. Rather absurd if you are at all serious about wine. Worse than perfunctory, since the server pointed out the grapes in the vineyard for the Sauvignon Blanc, then we overheard another server point to the same rows and say they were Malbec. If you want a beautiful view on lovely grounds at a comfortable table on a gorgeous day and are willing to pay $40 per person for a total of 10-12 ounces of wine offered insouciantly, you might enjoy this winery visit.

Magnificent property to enjoy wine. They have two tasting rooms inside, one upstairs and a library downstairs. My wife and I chose to enjoy our wine outside to enjoy the spectacular, almost opulent, views. We did the $15 wine tasting which was good.

Worth a visit just for the Gardens and grounds alone. Beautiful any time of the year. Tasting in the lower level is nice, with a chance to try the high-end varietals. A lovely place.

The Winery is great and so is the tasting room ON the Plaza. Stop here and have a taste before you go to dinner! Great shopping and wine tasting and great staff!

The winery facility is lovely with gardens, and the pig statue. Even the estate, single vineyard wines were not that great, and not worth a $25 tasting fee..

Will visit again!!!! Will do a private tasting on our next visit, wish we would have spent more on wines versus buying a lot of stuff from the souvenir shop. Met a fellow floridian who moved out here to work in the wine industry so was neat talking to him and his generous pours. We plan on only doing different vineyards on each trip but this place will see us a second and a third and a fourth in the years to come. You will not be disappointed drinking upstairs or downstair wines

Beautiful facility with beautifully landscaped grounds. Take a walk in the garden after you've tasted their wine. It was nice that they didn't rush us through our tasting; they encouraged us to take our time and stroll around. They let us split a tasting and even threw in some extra choices. There was no hard sell. My only slight criticism would be that the pourers did not tell us much about the wines. I'm sure they would have answered our questions, but they didn't offer a lot of info. But they were friendly, and this is still a beautiful place that you should add to your wine tour list.

Stunning winery with stunning views of vineyards, the grounds and gardens. Beautiful inside as well. Great staff who seem to enjoy their jobs. Two great tasting rooms depending on your budget plus great gifts for stocking suffers. Don't miss this winery on your visit

A great winery to tour and spend extra time at. The wines are wonderful and it's worthwhile taking extra time to relax on the grounds sipping an extra glass, enjoying the peace and quiet.

I already loved the wine and now we have visited the beautiful facility and grounds. Wasn't going to buy any wine and walked away with 4 bottles; two of which I haven't tasted before - taking these 2 back to Hawaiiand savor with friends.

My husband and I did the Outdoor Terrazzo Reserve tasting. The wine was good but not spectacular. We spent over $400 on 6 bottles of wine and were still charged for the tasting. Even the shipping was not discounted. I asked if there were any other wines we could try that were listed and was told no because they didn’t have many bottles left. REALLY? What winery doesn’t have a Coravin.
The grounds were beautiful but you could not go very far.
Overall disappointed. I only hope the wine I did purchase tastes good.

The wine-tasing was good and the list of wines was impressive but the gardens are what impressed me the most! The upkeep on this place has got to be ridiculous, but it is worth every penny!
I was told there is a separate wine-tasting in the cellar but I did not get a chance to try the "reserves."
I also learned that one of the owners son's is a former backup for the Dallas Cowboys! I don't know if that will make your wine sweet or bitter but you should give the place a try!

Wine was on, $15 per tasting. But what’s great about this place is really the view and ambience! It also has a little side garden for people to stroll around.

We visited Healdsburg and had an incredibly full schedule planned for our stay. We were not sure if we would be able to make it to Ferrari-Carano. So glad we took the time to visit. Grounds are simply stunning, a must see if you are in the area..

The drive going there was beautiful seeing all the vineyards and rolling hills covered with vines. The winery was beautiful as well with manicured lawn and small garden with wonderful vistas in the distance. Up front when you go in is the gift shop and the basic wine tasting, down below has a more upscale wine bar and a nice view of the wine storage. Wine was good and it was for us worth the short trip from Healdsburg.

The gardens and grounds at the winery are fabulous, the people are friendly and helpful, and the wines are very good-can honestly say that I've never had a wine I didn't like from this winery. The tasting room in the basement is first class if you are interested in obtaining some of the wines that are otherwise not widely available in local stores. We're visited several times, and they have been quite memorable.

We enjoyed a great food and wine pairing experience at Ferrari Carano on Sunday, July 2,2017. Their Prevail Cabs are out of this world. We also found their Zinfandale a bargain ($28/bottle)for the quality . They offered us four small plates ( an onion galette, lamb slider, a cold crab soup and a spinach/ricotta dumpling). Each of them paired very well with the wines that we tasted. Overall a fantastic experience.

This is a very beautiful winery with pretty gardens and great views. They can improve the seating area to make better use of the setting. The service and wines were good.
However, the whole setup seemed very commercial and there was not much of a personal touch.

The reason to come here is to see the lovely gardens. This winery has 8 full time gardeners and it shows. The landscape is magnificent, and it feels as if you are at a wine Chateau in France. The tastings are ok and I didn't find anything special to take home. $10 for 5 selections from their list of about 12 or so wines. The tasting fee is waived if you purchase $50. It is nice to be able to select the wines to taste, some whites, some reds and dessert wines. It was a pleasant experience.

Ok this is a must go to winery, the wines are very good and the gardens are a walk in the Garden of Eden.

Great place to sit and have a glass of wine at the end of the day. We were very rushed...only on our part. We got there right before closing, but we had a quick tasting. The gift shop is great, one of the nicer ones. The Manager and cashier helped me try to find a print. He even searched the basement for several more. He did not seem put out at all by the fact that it was time to close. We ordered a glass of wine and sat outside while the cleaned up and got ready to close. The customer service was great and did not go unnoticed. Wine was great and by far one of our favorite vineyards on our visit.
Thank you!

We have enjoyed their wines for some years, so a visit to the Ferrari-Carano Winery was meaningful. Unfortunately, we got caught up in all the hype (as the Caranos would hope) and bought way too many bottles. However, our traveling companions were already club members, so our treatment was top shelf, and they charged our wines to get the substantial discounted prices. The grounds really were spectacular.

Wow. What a great property. Wines are very good and we have purchased them for years. I was really expecting a very polished presentation of the wines. What did we get. Poor and walk away. No explanation of any of the wines. We watched other employees do the same to other guests. I felt they were more interested in getting another tasting completed. This was one of our many stops during our stay and sadly as much as I like the wines and property the visit was the most disappointing.

Love the big bold reds hereand the dessert wines are impeccable as well. Service is good and enjoyed our conversations with Tony. This is one winery we will always stop by when in the area. Will suggest to go straight down to the cellar to do the tasting. The Prevails are my favorite California wine by far. Don't miss.

Gorgeous manicured gardens and what views! The property is fabulous and the wines are superb. We did get a tour of the production facilities and vineyards with our wine group - arranged weeks in advance. Most visitors can't get the the tour of the facilities unless arranged in advance. However you will be pleased by the luxurious wine tasting room and the gardens of the winery. Must see stop on your wine tour.

The building, grounds, and view at this winery are spectacular. It's at the northern end of the Sonoma Valley but is worth the drive. We enjoyed a glass of one of their nice cabernets while sitting on the terrace enjoying the peaceful scenery and fountain. The landscaping was nearly flawless and there was a pretty little garden area to walk through.

We took the 10am tour and then scheduled a private tasting. The tour was about an hour. Our tour guide, Brian, was informative and took us through the gardens, the large storage room for fermentation, out to the fields to see the grapes and back down to the main hospital it area with a barrel storage room in the basement.
We then had our private tasting. He had set out the best 5 wines - first a fume blanc, then a Chardonnay, the a Pinot noir, then the Cabernet ( tresaur) and finally the blend (Prevail). We enjoyed all of them. My husband liked the Prvail - west face and I liked the Prevail - back forty.
Overall, it is a beautiful vineyard to visit. There are walk in tasting options also.

A great winery to visit for the outstanding wines, gardens and views. Well worth the stop
The $25 tasting in the cellar was well worth the higher price - good wines and excellent service with very knowledgable servers.
Not to be missed on your tour.

This winery is the most beautiful of those we visited in Sonoma County. It's up in the hills with the tasting room overlooking vineyards. It was only $5 to taste their wines which is much less than any other we encountered. We were very impressed by the service and all staff were pleasant and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and seemed to be enjoying what they do. In addition they have beautiful gardens open to the public. The tulips in bloom were wonderful. It was well worth the drive.

We had a reservation for 3 pm and I called to see if it would be possible to come in earlier. The individual I talked to on the phone said that they may be able to seat us at 2:30, and if not, they would seat us at 2:45 "at the latest".
Our group arrived at 2:30, and the two people at the front were incredibly rude to us. They told us that there was no way they could seat us before 3 pm, and were almost angry when I told them about what the person told us on the phone about seating us earlier. When we asked if we could order a bottle of wine to drink while we were waiting for our reservation, they insinuated we were drinking too much, and did not want to "over serve us". We were a party of six and this was only tasting of the day. We also asked if we could add a cheese board to our reservation, and they told us that they had sold out, which was an absolute lie because when we sat down and asked our server, she immediately had one made for us.
Everyone in my party agreed that the two individuals at the front were outright mean to our group, which is an absolute shame because the service we received from our pourer and the wine itself were fantastic. My partner and I came to the tasting with the intention of purchasing a membership with the winery because of the beautiful grounds and fantastic reds, but after the service we received, I will not be coming back. Please work on hiring more friendly front staff.

I always take visitors here. I just took 2 friends who don't drink wine and they enjoyed it. The wine is excellent but there is a beautiful garden to walk through and see cork trees. Also, the view from the patio is stunning. A few bronze statues and a fountain as well. Really worth the visit!

We absolutely loved this vineyard & every wine we tasted. The grounds are stunning! Tony gave us a fabulous tour of the vineyard & a wonderful tasting downstairs after. Bo assisted us upstairs with our tasting & was great also. The service was impeccable & the wines were amazing. We especially loved the Black Muscot dessert wine. It wasn’t too sweet; it was perfect. We will most certainly be back! This is a must-stop for Healdsburg.

Tony is a favorite tasting room associate. He is knowledgeable and perceptive. The grounds are lovely.

After having the one and only bad experience on our trip to wine country at another local sparkling vineyard, we headed here. The grounds are absolutely stunning and immediately improved our frame of mind! We walked through the garden which was just in it's first bloom and was beautiful! Then we walked up to the patio and enjoyed a glass of wine looking out over the vineyards and foothills. I have been to Tuscany and if I didn't know better I would have thought I was there again!
Our wine server was really fun & friendly. Make sure to visit the restrooms downstairs so you can take a peek at the Barrel Room behind glass, which is amazing!

What a stunning place to tour. The grounds are immaculate and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were very good and the prices were not bad. We did not have time to take the tour but plan on it for our next visit. It is well worth your time to stop and visit

F-G is a manse-like building surrounded by beautiful (like dozens of other wineries) views. There is a short garden trail that runs from point A to point B and is maybe a tenth of a mile? It's absolutely beautiful and serene. Wine tasting here is fun and the wines are excellent, and prices reflect that. This is no bargain hunter place. The shop is nice enough, but I prefer Mumm for gadget and glass shopping. So it's beautiful and has a very rich vibe, though jeans and shorts are fine. This California after all! I wouldn't say it's a five star place just because not everyone likes this atmosphere. This place is definitely worth a look & see.

If you want a quick trip to the wine region of France, you don’t need to go farther than Healdsburg, California. You approach the Ferrari Carano Winery through a gravel path that leads to a garden with a flowing stream, a pérgola and flowers that change color according to the season. I was there in May and the display was breathtaking, but it has been just as beautiful when I visited in the summertime.
Once you have managed to tear yourself away from the garden, an iron gate will lead you to the expansive terrace with a balustrade that overlooks the vineyards. There you can sit under an umbrella as you sip a glass of Chardonnay in a perfect, breezy California afternoon.
I don’t know about you, but this is my idea of heaven...and a lot cheaper than a trip to France.

This is a beautiful winery! You have to make this stop. They have a gorgeous facility and it is so clean! The flowers and the gardens are awesome! They have two wine tasting rooms and the tours are the best! Tony in the downstairs wine tasting room is very informative and the entire crew upstairs was fun and had lots of wine knowledge as well! This is a winery you can hang out at all day! They have an awesome staff and the gift shop has many many items to purchase! We just loved this place!

This was probably one of the most beautiful grounds we visited while tasting our way through the Dry creek area. The tastings were 4 for 10$ so not over the top but we just bought a bottle, since there was 5 of us, and sat outside and enjoyed it. People were nice and helpful, the wine bar was crowded and no one wanted to share the counter, thus buying our own bottle and sitting outside.

If you enjoy having the whole "experience" of a winery visit, this is an excellent place to visit. The grounds are meticulously maintained and quite extensive, almost a French feel though they are going for an Italian one.
Inside the winery you are greeted upon arrival and have your tasting options explained. For the best experience, try the upper end tasting downstairs. It costs a little more, if you don't buy, but the setting in the cellar is cozy and really hits the mark for ambiance.
They produce many wines in many price points so there is something for everyone. Their cabs are very well done and must be tasted downstairs.
The main tasting room is chocked full of things for tourists to take home, some of which are unusual or entertaining. The staff for the most part is extremely friendly and helpful. For the most attention, be there when the open around 10am so you can receive undivided attention.
Definitely a great experience coupled with excellent wines. Highly recommended. Cheers!

Beautiful winery. Very welcoming staff! Gentlemen conducting the tasting was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was from Florida like us! Loved the wine!

Beautiful grounds in and outside. Very picturesque. The tastings were done with attentive bartenders but changed too often. Wines were pretty delicious and tastings inexpensive.

As you walk up the path to the tasting room building you will see a beautiful Tuscan-style villa. The wines are delicious. We really enjoyed the Siena Red Wine and the Baci Red Wine Dark Chocolate. Both were our evening wines of choice. The garden behind the metal gate is gorgeous and so peaceful. If you are using your GPS be careful as it will take you to the road of Bella Wine Caves but you are really close. Follow the road side signs. Google Maps has a glitch in directions. We weren't the only ones arriving at FC with that problem. Basic tasting--which were delicious---is only $5.00. There is also one of the nicest gift shops around. Put this one on your to-go list.

We had an appointment with a group of four for a 10:00am on a Tuesday, and were the first visitors of the day. Our tour guide was excellent, as were the overview of the wine-making process and the history of Ferrari-Carano. Tastings and tours are by appointment, although there are scheduled (limited mid-week free tastings for "locals" during off- season.) It's an especially lovely venue in the spring and early summer.

On this second visit to the stunning property of Ferrari-Carano Winery, we concentrated only on the premium wines (4 to taste for $25). Every wine we chose to taste was delicious. Brian, who poured for us, was knowledgable and very generous with his time. Beyond the wines, the grounds are stunning. They employ 8 full time gardeners who maintain the boxwoods, flowers, trees and landscape by hand. The gardens alone are worth seeing.

My husband and I scheduled the "Scentiments" event during our recent vacation in the Healdsburg area. It was fabulous! We were really impressed with the variety of "scents" .... grapefruits, apricots, raspberries, cloves, nutmeg, oak, pears, etc., that were available to us for this experience, as we tasted five of their wines. Kate was our host and she did a wonderful job. She was personable and very knowledgeable about the Ferrari-Carano wines. We especially enjoyed the PreVail Cabs. Would definitely recommend this event if you are interested in discovering more about wines!

The staff is very friendly and eager to make your tasting a good experience. Great wine and atmosphere.

This winery has one of the prettiest views in town! The building is gorgeous! There's two tasting areas, depending on the type of wine. There's exterior garden that is very pretty! My friends and I had spent about 45 minutes at this particular location, taking pictures and having a taste. It's worth visiting!

The wonderful gardens are the draw here. We were not impressed by the wines and the attendant did not give much information about the wines like we heard in other wineries.

The grounds were my favorite part of this winery. I wish it was not raining the day we went so we were able to enjoy them more.
They have 2 tasting areas here. One upstairs and one downstairs depending on what you prefer. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Spent plenty of time with each customer. My husband enjoyed the Pinot flight- ended up leaving with a bottle. I would recommend to make a visit.

We enjoyed the tasting overlooking the fountain, although we felt like we were in the middle of a giftshop full of CF merchandise. My husband and I liked the wine enough to purchase sixteen bottles to take home with us. We spent over three hundred and fifty dollars on wine, so we were surprised to be told we owed them five dollars each for the tasting. This seemed more than a little nervy and a first in our winery visiting experience. It was irritating enough that we will think twice about going back or recommending a visit to others.

If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and go to the Ferrari-Carano Winery. You will be immediately appreciative of the entrance_beautifully landscaped. The buildings and landscaping is spectacular. I have been in a few wineries over the years, but none compare to Ferarri-Carano. Nice wines by the way.

This was the first winery I had visited in back in 2009 and I am always happy to get a chance to return. It was a beautiful day and being a weekday it wasn't very crowded. We made our way downstairs and there was a group only 4 people in the tasting room. Never feeling rushed, we relaxed and had some amazing selections. We had excellent conversation with the staff and again our visit was truly memorable. After tasting, we relaxed and walked around the gardens and took in the views and warm summer afternoon.

We had an enjoyable experience at F-C during our previous Sonoma visit that we rebooked another special tasting experience this year with our same friends. We did the " King of Reds " experience which was a fantastic time. We had the same hostess, Kate, who is terrible at her job very informative, cheerful and engaging to the right degree. For this experience , each red is paired with a special chocolate for that wine.---always interesting in the different tastes that the chocolates bring out.
All reds were excellent but the Prevails are outstanding. As during our last visit , both couples had a case shipped home while we joined the wine club since they are now shipping to PA

Great setting-- gardens -- deck view into Alexander Valley -- no need to go inside where staff over whelms you with expensive tasting options and numerous gift store "opportunities".... enjoy the setting and grounds -- no need to enter the tasting room!

Our stay in Sonoma included a complimentary tour of this memorable winery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ferrari. The gardens are very beautiful, and well- planned. Although it was lightly raining, the atmospheric conditions seemed to enhance the surrounding beauty. Lovely statuary. Don't miss the interesting cork tree- not something you get to see everywhere. And the wines? Quite delicious. We upgraded our tasting, and had some of the best sips of our trip in their amazing tasting room. Highly recommend!

Ferrari-Carano owns Vintner's Inn and a tour and tasting were included with our stay at the Inn. The four of us were the only ones on our early morning tour when it started. We were so impress with the grounds...absolutely beautiful. The garden area is peaceful with benches on which to sit and enjoy the fountains, flowers, setting. Lovely gazebo for photos, too.
Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the winery, the wine making process and the family's history. That, in itself, was fascinating. We did not know a lot about wine making but left feeling we now knew quite a bit about the process. The place was immaculate. Would love to return during harvest time to see the machinery in action.
Their wine is not widely sold commercially so we bought wine there, and it was resonable priced. Very impressed by the number of White House menus from Pres. Reagan's era to today where Ferrari Carano wine were served at a formal lunch or dinner.
Excellent 90 minutes spent here...excellent tour guide...will return.

This was one the most beautiful wineries we visited and wine weren't bad either. In fact good enough the we joined their wine club.

We just drove up to see this winery in Dry Creek Valley while driving around on our own exploration. It was a quiet Tuesday, where many of the wineries are closed. This estate was open, and fairly quiet. It is Beautiful! The staff was so friendly. We were told to walk around and look and then we could enjoy a glass on the terrace. This view is what I was dreaming of, and the wine was amazing! I felt like I was in Italy with the view up the hill of the vineyard. We enjoyed a walk in the garden afterwards. It is a must location to stop, if only for a glass. It is the epitome of wine tasting experiences! Like a dream!

Great wines don't begin to tell the story. If you consider yourself to be a wine geek you need to be sure to do the VIP tasting on the lower level and try some of the reserve wines with the long time staff members. They will educate you and serve you and certainly appreciate a tip.

We didn't do a tour, but it was worth the visit for the gardens, beautiful! My husband did a tasting while I shopped!

If one is in Healdsburg, and on a drive, this is the winery to see. It's a lovely property, probably one of the most beautiful in all of Sonoma. The grounds are well maintained, the building is lovely, and the view of the valley from the winery worth the stop. I was glad to find the tasting room downstairs. Though I did not do a tour of their facilities, so not sure if they have one.

We went to this winery in a day that we visited 4 others and unfortunately it wasn't a great surprise.... Decent wine but not superb... Place was beautiful, but we think there are better wineries to go.

This place is stunning! The grounds are out of this world! I've been twice and we've done the reserve tasting which is downstairs! I highly recommend doing that tasting! It is Fab!!!!!!!

Stunning setting, beautiful gardens, classic building, and decent wine. It is worth the stop just for this setting - but the wine does not compare to the smaller vintage wineries in Sonoma.

Beautiful property...gardens open to the public and the facility is gorgeous. Did not do a tasting but just to walk thru the place is great. Be sure to go downstairs and view the storage area of the barrels of wine along with the warehouse close to the parking lot. I know the wines are great as our local wine store features some of them.

When we entered, the upstairs tasting area was crowded, so we went downstairs to the second tasting area and BOY am I glad we did!! The tasting was a bit more expensive but the pours were generous and the wines were exceptional. We spent three days visiting about 15 wineries and this was the ONLY wine club we joined. When we went upstairs to sample the upstairs wines we weren't as impressed. Make SURE you do the downstairs tasting. The French chateaux atmosphere was also fantastic. We will be back!

A place for the wealthy, very high quality wines to try, a special reserve room, and incredible well managed gardens and areas to chat with the wines.

Be sure to allow time to stroll the gardens before your wine tasting. Then enjoy your taste of some very good wines.

What a lovely setting and property and the wines that go with it! We were told by friends to put this on our must see winery list. We were glad we did.
A relaxing a friendly atmosphere and sipping great wines under sunny skies made this a memorable day.
Suggest you do the downstairs tasting room. It costs a bit more but Tony (the wine expert there) did a great job explaining the offerings and clearly loved his job. 👍
Allow time to walk through the gardens and enjoy the wide variety of plants and trees. Even if you don't drink wine, they are a pleasant place to stroll.

Do not miss this winery. It is worth a stop just to walk in the garden and enjoy the lovely landscaping and views on this property. Bring your camera! The tasting room is nicely done and very comfortable. You can stand at the bar overlooking the amazing vineyard or choose to sit at a high top table to enjoy your tasting. The wines are quite good and the fee is reasonable. They also have a great selection of retail items if you are in the mood for shopping while tasting. It is all good here!

Would recommend making the drive to this winery. Very beautiful site! We love this wine! If you stop by for a tasting, save yourself $10 and stand at the bar upstairs rather than going down to the seller where it's $20. The views of the vineyard from the bar are worth standing up for!

We recently enjoyed our third wine-and-food pairing at Ferrari-Carano and highly recommend it. Five dishes per person are paired with five different wines that make for a very enjoyable hour and a half in a private room: two of you, or more, since you'll need book it in advance unless you prefer to go the tasting bar sans pairing.
A staff person assigned to you/your group informs you about the food you will be eating and the wine you will be tasting. The presentation is informative and professional, a perfect blend just as the food and wine are intended to be. We were enamored of four of the five food-wine pairings and left savoring the experience yet again.
We particularly enjoyed the 2014 Back 40 Cabernet, the 2014 Merlot and the 2016 Pinot Noir.
Be sure to make time to stroll the beautiful grounds, preferably with a glass of wine in hand, or sit on the outdoor patio to savor the vineyards and landscaped gardens.

We had a very enjoyable time on the terrace enjoying 4-5 generous tastes. Our server, Ibis, was very thoughtful and full of wine knowledge. She answered all our questions and never seemed in a rush to leave our table, though on a September midweek tasting at 11:00 a.m. the terrace wasn’t very busy. We had time to wander around the gardens and enjoy the stunning views of hillside terraced vineyards. Though the gardens are quite lovely, picnicking isn’t allowed, so we ate our lunch in the car in a shady spot before going onto the next winery in our tour of Dry Creek.

We came primarily for the estate and vineyard view. We were not disappointed. Very nice Pinot also! Go downstairs and enjoy a special view. It's a must stop while in Dry Creek. Very accessible and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Beautiful property, great wine, and very friendly staff. The tour was interesting to see the large production of this winery, and the facility at this location is only one of many different processing locations for he winery.

Ferrari-Carano is absolutely beautiful! We were awed by the gardens and landscaping. Six full time gardeners take great care of everything. The tasting room has a great view of the grounds also. We did the tasting, really enjoyed their white wines and rose’. The tasting is $15, waived if you purchase three bottles. Enjoy!

We enjoyed our wine tasting here. They are very friendly and have a lovely garden! We bought wine here, very good wine and some of them very reasonably priced. They tasted every bit as good at home when we opened them to share with friends. I recommend stopping here, it's lovely.

Fantastic wine tasting! Patrick in the tasting room was super knowledgeable! One of the most beautiful wineries in wine country!

Probably the most classy winery we visited. Immaculately kept gardens, gorgeous outdoor terrace, very good wine selection. And the sympathy and friendly attention of the personnel is something we'll keep in our minds.

Ferrari-Carano has some of the most beautifully landscaped grounds in all of Sonoma Wine Country. Grab a glass of their crisp Fume Blanc and stroll the garden paths. Take in the lush greens and vibrant colors, so many varieties of trees and flowering plants to discover along with tasteful sculptures on display throughout.
The wines are well worth the trip. Fume Blanc, Chardonnay and Siena, an Italian inspired blend were standouts for me.

When we arrived, we were seated at a outdoor table for 2 near the building. Because the music from the building was very loud, we asked to be moved to a table closer to the gardens. We were told that table was only for a group of 4. Soon after, another couple was seated at that table. No one joined them. Really? What were we, 2nd class citizens?
The place is beautiful, but unless you want to drink wine with music blaring, don’t come here. We won’t be returning even though the wine was tasty.

In the area for wine tasting, we recalled a nice experience at Ferrari Carano. Though no reservations were available online, we called the winery to see if there were any cancellations or if it was possible to be fit in for a tasting. The person we spoke with said we could stop in for a tasting, but kindly explained that the last tasting started at 3:30pm. As it was 2:40pm and we were less than 15 minutes away we said we would be right over. Unfortunately, however, when we arrived to check in we were told it was not possible to taste as everything was booked up. This is despite 100% of the outside tables being free and all but two of the inside tables empty at 2:55pm. Most vexing and completely unacceptable, the manager “Jesse” said he spoke with the telephone receptionist who told him we had called over an hour ago and “were late.” Even after being able to prove that we called less than 20 minutes ago (2:38pm on our phone) we were still unceremoniously turned away. Being told that tastings are not possible without an appointment is one thing, but wasting time only to be treated poorly and to be told falsehoods is quite another. We will never go back and highly recommend many of the other great wineries in this beautiful part of the world.

this is a very special place to see a beautiful winery, grounds that are as good as anywhere in california, and great selection of wines. We had the private tasting in a most beautiful room with a very friendly host. Don't miss this place, gorgeous grounds and wonderful wine.

Do not miss the beautiful grounds and gardens of Ferrari-Casanova Winery. We stumbled on it by accident and were overwhelmed by the landscaping and architecture. A fabulous setting. We enjoyed wine tasting on patio looking out at gorgeous flowers and fountains. The wines were excellent, people very friendly and helpful. Telling all our friends to not miss out on a visit here if in Healdsburg/Sonoma area.

I have visited Ferrari Carano Winery on several occasions and I suggest to visit to anyone that is planing to visit Napa and Sonoma. It’s a must go for a wine tasting.

I have to preface this with the admission that my wife and I are members of the FC wine club & have been for about 10 yrs. that being said---The wines you can only taste privately are superb. The West Face & reserve Cabs are killah. The reserve whites are very good as well.

This was my first visit. The grounds are lush, flowers everywhere, and beautiful vistas. The is a tasting room, outdoor terrace, wine shop, gardens and walking paths, and tasting bar. They have guided tours or like me, grab a glass and wander about. Some locals bring blanket & food, buy some wine at the shop, and go picnic on the green lawns. It is a stately building, picturesque...great vineyard vistas to sweep you into a relaxing state of mind...worth the trip and fee for tasting good wines.

I love Carneros Chardonnay's so this place was a must on the wine tour itinerary. I have to admit I was not expecting such an elegant venue, both inside and out. If you plan to visit, I recommend you schedule at least 1/2 day so you can fully experience the beauty (and wines of course !) of this winery. And don't miss the Carneros Chardonnay!

This magnificent replica of an Italian Villa and extensive grounds and beautiful gardens is a must see if you are in the Healdsburg area. The wine tasting rooms and barrel cellars are first rate, and the white wines are excellent. The winery also has a nice tasting room on the Healdsburg Plaza if you don't have the time to drive out to the winery (about 12 miles).

A wonderful seated tasting experience with knowledgeable and friendly winery hosts. A relaxed atmosphere while tasting beautiful wines. The property is absolutely stunning

Had the opportunity to visit here recently and were blown away by the place. The setting is unbelievable and the wines were great. They are also listed as a Visa Signature participating winery which offer free and or discounted tastings. They offer tastings in an are on the ground floor as well as one level below ground. Make sure you visit that one level down and see the amazing barrel room. As I said the wines were really good and so were the bottle prices. We took advantage of the opportunity to purchase a bottle and have a few glasses of wine while overlooking the winery and fountain. Also make certain you walk down through the garden area wth he creek and ponds. Absolutely beautiful...

Absolutely gorgeous. Service was top notch, grounds are beautiful. Wine was delicious and a selection that everyone can find something they enjoy. A must see!

Fantastic wine, we came last year and have to go back! It was fantastic!!! The black Muscat is Devine!! The president came here at one point as well

My husband, brother and I were told about this winery and how beautiful it was. We were not disappointed. The grounds are spectacular as is inside the winery. We went downstairs for the wine tasting. It was a great experience and I'm so glad we were able to experience their wonderful wines.

The grounds are beautiful, plenty to explore. For my taste the wine is ok, nothing stood out. Take your picture next to the boar sculpture.

This was such a beautiful place with a stunning cellar. Tastings were fun and informative, offering advice and answering all questions posed. Staff was friendly and professional. Went for reserves and limited production wines. Will cellar a few of them but it will be hard because it was really good! Recommend checking it out!

visit this beautiful vineyard for a girls day out. amazing staff especially Tony, he guided us through the wine tasting, taught us history about the wine. Wine was amazing. love everything about this place

On Dry Creek Road just before you get to Lake Sonoma you can find this winery. Entering the grounds I immediately noticed the large variety and selection [all identified on little signs by name] of well-manicured bushes and trees surrounding and enveloping the entrance…And the many flowerbeds that surround the entryway and the entrance arbor, opening into the outstanding gardens, with the multiple varieties of florals, statues, bridges and a rushing stream which starts at the upper patio and winds its way down to the parking areas. One of the owners of this winery is also a self-taught landscaper and she has turned her gardening hobby into near professional Garden with sculptures, arbors and beautiful flower arrangements, becoming according to many locals, one of the most beautiful winery gardens in the area and well worth the trip to see it even if you’re not interested in tasting their wines.
Once inside this very interesting winery building, which is basically a tasting room and store on the main level, also servicing an outdoor patio with tables overlooking the vineyards, as an alternative to being indoors. The main tasting room is down an almost hidden stairway winding its way down into the basement level with the many photographs of the White House menus prepared by Ferrari Carano with the pairing wines served with each menu. Although I was not overly impressed by their wines apparently the various White Houses diners over the years, have been. I tried their $25 tasting menu which included four wines. There are other options as well and you could pick based on your taste. I am very much a Chardonnay drinker and their Napa Valley Carneros was quite good although I did not care for their Chenin Blanc-Great place to visit and enjoy the gardens, views of the vineyards and mountains as well.

This winery was recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Be sure to walk through the gardens. We each got a glass of wine and sat outside to enjoy the view of the vineyards. People are very friendly. Wine was excellent. I would recommend it to friends.

When we come here (we're club members), we feel a bit of Tuscany. The vineyards, cypress trees and the "mansion" have the feeling of Italy. It's not a boutique winery...it's a bigger place....2 wine tasting areas: main floor and in the cellar. The gift shop sells a variety of things including my favorite truffle potato chips from Spain. Staff are all nice and courteous. You can bring a picnic lunch (you bring from elsewhere; this place does not sell picnic food) and dine outside as there are a few chairs/tables/umbrellas.

We stopped by FC on our recented wine tasting trip to Sonoma. We are familiar with FC because they are readily available in the East Coast. My wife enjoys interesting landscaping and FC property did not disappoint. Beautifully manicured gardening and lots of flowers. We decided to the the classic wine tasting at the bar and were able to enjoy some FC wines that we had not tried before.

We had a private tasting paired with bites. The information was not very informative and the wines were just not at all good. They charged $45 a person, The mansion has very manicured grounds and is impressive but this is definitely one to skip.

We were wowed by the beautiful gardens and landscape. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine and Aaron & Anna were wonderful!

Gorgeous garden and winery. Interesting history of the villa and the couple who started it. They have an exclusive wine tasting room in the cellar of the winery.

The gardens and setting is amazing. So lovely. The wine tasting downstairs was so nice. Adam served us and made great recommendations. Do not miss this place!!

Wow! This winery is fabulous. It has everything. The gardens are gorgeous, the view is amazing and the downstairs wine tasting room is beautiful and comfortable. I would highly recommend that you do not miss this winery.

Alanna, our server, was absolutely fantastic. She is friendly, knowledgeable and is definitely an asset to the Ferrari-Carano Winery.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The views and grounds are unlike most wineries. Although it's a little more commercial than a lot of wineries in the area. We did the tasting room upstairs. The wine was good. There is a tasting room downstairs that has better wines, but we did not try that. The only thing I didn't like about the grounds are the signs everywhere telling you not to touch anything and there is a guard walking around supervising people. I might go back with a friend who hasn't been here before, but there are many other places in the area to try.

Make sure to have this winery be a part of your tour as the grounds are simply breathtaking. Great spot for many pictures.

Beautiful gardens and grounds, mature landscape and colorful beds. Pretty tasting room, nice views. Staff very cordial. Strange layout and no picnicking allowed but worth a visit.

I visited this winery for a tasting, with friends. The grounds are spectacular, and the views from the building overlook the vineyards and mountainside in the background. Breathtaking.
We stayed on the main floor for our tasting, which was $15 per person. Our server, Anna, was so knowledgeable, and so personable! She really enhanced our experience.
The gardens were not in full bloom while we were there, but from what people said, they are spectacular.
I would definitely return to this beautiful location.

This is one of the most beautiful settings in Sonoma Valley in a castle and grounds and landscaping worthy of royalty. Very relaxing to just sit here and gaze into the vineyards drinking your wine. The wine is ok but nothing exceptional. So enjoy the moment.

This winery is definitely worth the drive being that its located in the northern part of Sonoma County. The grounds and property alone are worth seeing, which includes a beautiful garden. The wines are top shelf, and you have two tasting areas to choose from: the tasting bar in the main entrance lobby, and then the downstairs reserve bar. We choose downstairs because we drink more reds than whites. There is also a beautiful patio with lovely views of the area, great place to sip on a glass of wine and have a snack after your tasting.

I came with a group of friends and we did the 10am tour that they offer. Our tour guide Tierney was AMAZING. She was full of excitement and has a wealth of knowledge. The grounds are perfect and the owners story from beginning to now is moving. Gardens are breathtaking and the staff was super friendly.
There are 2 tasting rooms which my group and I enjoyed both of course. The wine cellar and the walk in the vineyards and their wine making process was exquisite. I highly recommend you take the tour and spend extra time in their tasting room. You won't regret it. Anna in the upstairs tasting room along with John in the downstairs tasting room we fabulous.

And, good wines, too!!! This may be one of the most spectacular wineries in all of California! It is simply a beautiful estate, and beautiful grounds! And, good wines, too!!! Did I say that already ?
Bob was our host and he was spectacular, as well. He was willing to research answers to questions about the newest vintage. And, he was willing to pour tastings in the order we preferred . . .W O W

The scenery, wines, service and tasting options are the best in the region. We arrived without a reservation for the cab/cheese/chocolate pairings but they were able to accommodate us within 15 minutes.
Tierny was our host when we arrived and made the arrangements for the tasting which is held in the basement. Bo was our personal guide who explained each of the cabs with the cheese and chocolate.
Bo was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food and passionate about his role. He was not overbearing and quite humble so we never felt pressure to buy anything.
He took his time and gave us access to the cave in the basement of the main building which was cool and smelt of oak from the barrels.
The views and gardens are worth the trip alone for the photo opportunities. The cabs we tried and the Pinot Grigio were delicious with a nice variety of cabs. We also tried a few of their Pinot Noirs which were quite good.
This is our favorite winery so far based on all the wineries we tried in Napa and Sonoma and Tierny and Bo made it an excellent experience.

If you go to one winery, make it this one. The setting is perfect. The attention to detail is amazing. I really can't think of enough words to describe how beautiful this place is.

This was the nicest winery we visited in Sonoma County. The Villa is spectacular and the views over the vineyards are priceless. Beautiful fountains and gardens on the property, and we loved the Cinghiale sculpture. We felt like we were back in Tuscany. The staff was excellent and the cellar was beautiful. We were surprised at how good the wines were because we assumed that such a high volume producer would be marginal. There is a beautiful patio overlooking the vineyards - great place to drink a glass or two of their good wine. A MUST SEE WINERY!

The wine is great but the facility and grounds are amazing! A must for visitors! The cellar is beautiful with another great tasting room.

The meticulous landscaped gardens at Ferrari-Carano are exceptional. We fell in love with the surroundings several years ago and could not wait to join the wine club.
Earlier this month, we attended the Holiday Event which was absolutely beautiful. The food and wine pairings were plentiful and delicious ~ the holiday decorations were gorgeous.
It was a definite treat and look forward to our next trip to FC!

We have found that each winery we visit in this area is more beautiful than the next, but it all be hard to top family owned Ferrari-Carano winery. With breathtaking grounds, a nice wine shop and wonderful pairings this winery located along Dry Creek Road outside of downtown Healdsburg, is worth a trip. We splurged on the cheese and chocolate tasting ($50), which although pricey, mirrors the expense of the wines (the wines we tasted ranged from $34-90). This wound up being a private tasting, and we were shown to a nicely appointed room downstairs where wines were poured, each with a small slice of cheese and a chocolate. Our guide suggested we taste the cheese first, then the wine, then follow with the wine and chocolate. The pairings were excellent and great complements. We got to taste the Cab, reserve Cab, Tresor, Prevail and Prevail Back Forty. I liked all the wines, and even cheese I don't normally love was good as well. The cheeses and chocolates were locally sourced. Following the tasting we spent some time walking through the gardens. This was a very nice experience, and will be very difficult to beat.

Very scenic vinery. Make sure you take time to slow down and stroll through the gardens. We tasted several wines which were good, but nothing outstanding for me.

Highly recommend! Not only were the wines Incredible, but the surrounding gardens and scenery were stunning! Not to mention we had wonderful service, by very knowledgable staff, a definite go to! Just wish we had more time!

If you want a good tour that includes a nice garden and wine tasting come by 10 am (yes early) and take Ferrari-Carano tour. Learn about the family as well as wine making. It's a beautiful place and the people are nice.

Enjoyed our tasting as we always do. The staff and the wines are very good. Don’t forget to visit the garden and see the cork bark tree.

We took the free early morning tour. The story of the winery is very interesting and the grounds are beautiful. We wanted to do a private tasting but they weren't offered that morning. We did an enoteca tasting and it was great fun. We decided to join the club and had another tasting upstairs. A lovely visit!

This place was very elegant. We enjoyed not only the wine tasting but also the gardens outside. We strolled them before we entered since it was such a beautiful day. The wines were good and the staff was pleasant.

FAVORITE stop on our winery tour. We enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon wine & cheese tasting and it was the MOST AMAZING tasting experience from a week in wine country. The tour was great and the wines were OMG!!!
This was the first time in wine country and this vineyard but I still think it will be my favorite for MANY years to come. Anna was our hostess and she made this wonderful experience even better.

We drove from our home to Ferrari Carano winery about 1 hour 43 minutes and it's worth for visit. We did wine tasting..we tried white wine and red wine also dessert wine and after wine tasting we decided to buy small bottle of dessert wine its taste sweet and bit taste of chocolate flavor. We bought small bottle because there no big size ( only 1 size ). After bought wine we look around and enjoying their garden also beautiful scenery around. I love their secret garden really nice and cool..a lot of roses and small water fountain perfect place to enjoying glass of wine

My second visit and enjoyed the gardens and sculptures. This is a beautiful winery with rich history. Fantastic photo ops here. Lots of good tasting options. Glad they offered a tasting in the cave that my husband and I could share. It's a beautiful place to taste. The server was friendly and chatty. Had good recommendations.

Double dipped in here. Beautiful grounds. Great staff! Cudos to Bob, Jim, and Nicole! Had a tasting upstairs with Bob, then went downstairs to check out the high end wines with Nicole. Frickin awesome. Entire Dry Creek Rd is packed with vineyards. Pack a lunch and go enjoy the day.

This is a wonderful place to do a wine tasting. $10.00 for a 5 wine sampler. The staff was very informative. There wasn't any pressure to purchase, but of course we did. The gardens are beautiful even in the pouring rain. We left Ferrari-Carano very happy.

A truly beautiful destination. The Villa and grounds are spectacular. The wine is award wining and affordable. Worth a visit any time of the year.

Love the gardens and overall property. The Sienna is delicious and the Bella Luce. They make the best desert wine to have with chocolate covered blueberries called El Dorado Noir, affordable and always a winner with girls night.

We love their wines so were excited to visit for a tasting. This is a very quiet, but beautiful winery. There were only 5 other people tasting at the time, so we got a lot of individual attention and information. Tony was our server and he had so many great stories about the grounds - which are beautiful - the wines and the history of the winery. We really enjoyed this stop!

Location - along the busy dry creek rd , not far from central healdsburg area
Setting - beautiful winery with well maintained grounds and manicured lawns . Very pleasant outdoor tasting setting .
The wines - not a big fan of their whites , love their tresor but their back forty cabs were the reason I joined their wine club a few yrs back …
The tasting experience - absolutely horrible . So bad that I cancelled my wine club membership with them immediately after my most recent tasting there . Our server was like a robot - stiff , cold , did not deviate one bit from the playbook . We came here with the intention of stocking up on their back forty cabs , but when we asked to taste it , the response was “sorry , we put those back in the library already .” Well , dear robot , bring them back out from the library . I had been their wine club member for three years , and I’ve had much better tasting experiences at many other wineries where I wasn’t even a member .
Very disappointing experience . Yes., some of their reds are delicious, but with that inflexible corporate attitude, they can go find other victims . There is no shortage of amazing reds from Sonoma . Goodbye, ferrari-Carrano…

We had enjoyed the tastings several times over the years but today was sorely disappointing. When it was family owned, it was very friendly and casual, and had experienced servers. Today we learned that the family sold to Foley a couple of years ago, and it simply no longer is enjoyable. We had the same experience years ago at Chalk Hill where prior to its sale to Foley, it had been wonderful but once Foley took over, it simply no longer was an enjoyable experience. Every prior tasting at Ferrari-Carano had been bar tastings which were such learning experiences because of the experienced, personable staff. The new formal s it-down tasting is stuffy and the wines are pre-determined instead of allowing you to choose which wines to drink; in addition, the pours are incredibly thin. Jordan is a much better choice.

The Passport weekend did not offer us the same experience as I am sure other winery guests would normally have. The wine and food was good! The patio we sat on after to soak in the pleasant April day was awesome. The grounds are impeccable. I would love to visit again someday!

The grounds of this winery are stunning - almost makes your eyes hurt! It was very hot when we were there, otherwise, we would have purchased a glass (or bottle) of wine to enjoy on the large outdoor area. The tasting bar overlooks this outdoor area so even when you are inside, you can see the beautiful grounds. The gals behind the bar were very nice and helpful. We joined the wine club and that waived the very reasonable $30 tasting charge for the two of us. We love their Fume-Blanc but the Tre Terre Chardonnay was new to us and awesome. Same for the Sangiovese Rose! There's another tasting experience down in the main building which includes their high-end wines. We would have done that if we had had more time. All in all, you will NOT be disappointed in making the drive to Ferrari-Carano!!!

When you drive up to the front gate your jaw drops from the beauty of the entrance. AND then it just keeps getting better and better. By the time you get to the front door and remember you came for wine tasting your senses have been saturated. Take the downstairs Enoteca tasting of the reserve wines in the cave and check the White House menus on the wall as you round the stairwell corner. Lots of great chardonay, pinot noir and Back Forty and West Face Cabs. Save room for the dessert wines as both the Eldorado Gold and Eldorado Noir port are YUMMY.
Make sure you take the time and make the drive to this fantastic spot; you might even get a glimpse of a wedding party arriving for their big day.

Did the King of Reds private wine tasting with Chocolate. The grounds and experience were very nice and our guide Brian was so nice. The Reds are not their bread and butter. But we managed to purchase a case any way.

We are Chardonnay fans and discovered that FC is serious about producing fine Chardonnay. I’m not sure how many chards the have but it is at least four. All of them are great and some are really special. We joined the club as Chardonnay only members and are looking forward to our shipments.
The garden is off the charts.

This is not a place for anyone interested in wine, winemaking, or vineyards. It's just a beautiful building and grounds from the original owners, with small sips of four wines and a push to join their wine club. Terrible waste of money. We were left for long lengths of time with empty wine glasses in front of us. We were insulted.

Stopped here to see a bigger winery. Really pretty patio. We did the tasting downstairs and weren't overly impressed with the wines, especially for the tasting price! We did get some good pics though!

My Hubby and I went there for some wine tasting. We had a Wonderful time. Hector was our wine conossieur and he explained all the flavors notes and everything the wine had. We ended up buying a couple of bottles which were very decently priced.

We visited this fabulous winery about 15 years ago and it has improved with time. There are 8 full time gardeners working just on the beautiful grounds and gardens and it shows. The colors of the various begonias are delightful. Oh, and the wine isn't bad either! Worth a stop for sure.

One of the most beautiful Wineries I have ever seen. Tour is free and detailed. The wine tastings are reasonable and let you taste exceptional varieties/vintages. Need to make reservations in advance and follow their directions as GPS doesn't get you there.

We went on a beautiful Fall day in early November 2020.
The staff was excellent and the wines were really good. This is a large production vineyard with multiple locations in their folio. We had a great experience!

We visited at the suggestion of Cloverdale tourist bureau and we were so pleased.Laid back staff suggesting selection of whites and reds mostly grown on site. Good wine and a quiet calm beautiful environment and facility.

The beauty of the Ferrari-Carano Winery cannot be adequately described here. Suffice it to say that it is breathtaking! The quality of the wines is exquisite! We did the more limited tasting in the lower-level and were able to be seated by a lovely hostess, take our time, and served by a wonderful gentleman that had great enthusiasm and knowledge. It was one of the most enjoyable wine experiences we have ever had. It will serve as a wonderful memory!

Worth the drive up the dry creek. We especially enjoyed the Italian varieties and Italian inspired blend. We would hope they do some more, per favore! The Merlot is also very good for a reasonable price.

Wow! Gorgeous grounds meticulously maintained with views in every direction. The "house" is luxurious with a gift shop and indoor and outdoor tasting tables. Staff is knowledgeable and delightful. The is a bar for glasses of wine if you don't want to reserve a tasting.

We signed up for a private tasting with chef bite pairings. Adam was our host. The whole experience was amazing.
This was our second trip to FC and it will not be our last. We have ALWAYS been treated first class by this amazing winery.
Don’t forget to see the cork tree in the gardens.

On August 2, 2017, at 5:30 pm, my family and I, on a road trip vacation, were excited to have arrived at the Ferrari-Carano Winery only to have a stressful encounter with an aggressive and verbally abusive security guard. I¹ll explain: after a 5 hour drive we arrived eager to visit the winery and its gardens, we saw some other guest in the parking lot. Being late we quickly walked towards the shop but the door was closed, a woman at a distance inside made gestures signaling they had closed. We began walking back to the car, some 200 feet away, at the same time admiring the gardens. It was bright outside, there was no one there, no signs at the gate, or at parking lot, or at the shop, or in the garden saying the premises were closed at a certain hour or that we had to exit with haste; we walked slowly back to the car, enjoying the garden. A sign on a small gate read something like "feel free to come in and enjoy our garden", and one of my kids strolled inside, the rest of us waited right outside, now about 50 feet from the car. About 10 minutes had passed from when we left the closed shop, when suddenly a security guard comes up to us and in a rude and threatening way yells loudly "what are you doing here, GET OUT". We were all stunned with his aggressive behaviour, it seemed so out of place, certainly my three teen-age kids and I didn´t pose a threat. I tried to explain we were on our way to the car, there was not a need to act this way, but the guard in a menacing way kept yelling "get out of here, NOW", he repeated this no less than 15 times, it was scary. We quickly headed to the car, but he kept shouting things like "the lady told you had to leave and now you are trespassing so GET OUT NOW or I¹ll call the sheriff” (we never crossed words with the lady in the shop). He went on and on, even as he saw us getting into the car. Pointless badgering, unnecessary rudeness and uncivil attitude.

This place is amazing. The wine, chocolate, service, view, gardens and tasting room were all excellent. Hector is awesome. If we could score it a 10, we would...truly perfect experience.

This review is for the lovely Reserve Room in the basement of the winery. We were treated to a complimentary tasting by our friends who are wine club members and I was super impressed with the VIP treatment we received. We had a private table and a personal server who was super knowledgeable about all of the wines being poured. The Reserve Wine menu is no joke -- there are lots of different wines on there -- but he knew about every single one. That's pretty impressive. I've been to lots of big commercial wineries (you know the type: they make a ton of different varietals, wines, etc.), and Ferrari-Carano is no different. But what really makes their tasting room stand out from the rest is the knowledge of their employees. I know quite a bit about wine but I felt like I came away having learned something.
The wines here were surprisingly good! I didn't expect much but I was impressed, especially with a varietal I rarely drink: Chardonnay. Their whites were stellar across the board. The reds were hit-or-miss but were mostly hits. Since my friends were club members, we were able to use their card for a significant discount on the 2 bottles we purchased.
Note that there are two different tasting bars and experiences at the winery. Upstairs adjacent to the gift shop is the standard tasting room. You stand at the bar and taste their everyday type wines. A very steep, long staircase leads you down to the Reserve Room tasting where you can sample some really delicious "best of the winery" wines. I would highly recommend the Reserve Room tasting (it costs more but I think the experience is well worth it). The basement Reserve Room is one of the nicest wine tasting atmospheres I've seen anywhere in Sonoma or Napa.
The winery's gift shop is really nice, with lots of super cute wine themed souvenirs and useful household items. This would be an amazing place to shop for gifts for any wine lover. I saw about 100 things I wanted to buy! None of the prices seemed to be marked up either.
The winery grounds are also show-stopping, with gorgeous landscaping, sweeping vineyard views, babbling brooks, fountains and grassy spaces. Bring your camera.

This is one of the spectacular wineries in Dry Creek. The plantings and view are beautiful, you almost feel as if you are in Italy. Nice choice of wines to taste, there is a fee. Lovely gift shop.
Was disappointed that we could not walk through the fenced garden the day we were visiting.

Great views, service and wine! Tastings on the patio and downstairs are best. Lauren was very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is an "out of the way" vineyard in Healdsburg. We were advised to visit and were thrilled with the Tasting Bar downstairs. The sommelier knew everthing about wine and pleasantly discussed them with us.
The gardens are beautiful with tables for a picnic

The building and gardens are stunning, and they have a good selection of wines. However, the first person helping us would pour the wine without giving us any information about the wine. He didn't seem to really want to be there. The second person who helped us was able to tell us a lot more about the wines. The wines didn't blow me away, but this would be a great winery for people looking for a range in wine varietals.

This place is well recognized in the area, but considering other wineries the wine is not worth the price. And so the wine tasting. Don't consider as the first choice unless you want to burn some money.

This property has beautifully manicured lawns, shrubs and gardens. Only $5 per person for a tasting of five wines of your choice. They also offer a reserve tasting downstairs for $15. We let them know how much we like red wines and our server offered slightly smaller pours to taste all six reds. Surprisingly we loved their Sienna, a red chianti style table wine. Very nice. Prices for bottles were $23 - $36. And yes, no deduction of the tasting fee for bottles purchased. Overall Nice experience.

Friendly albeit a little snooty service during the tasting, but ended up buying an incredible 2014 Prevail Back 40, and a really good Reserve Chardonnay. The atmosphere is well worth the visit, absolutely beautiful! I would rate this as a must stop if this is your first time going to wineries.

My husband and I visited Ferrari-Carano and it was just beautiful. The grounds are lovely and the staff is friendly and accomodating. There are plenty of options for tastings and no pressure while you're there enjoying the experience.

The gardens and walking paths were beautiful! They were definitely worth the drive to see from Windsor which is where we were staying. The tasting room was very attractive and we chose to do the $10 5 wine tasting. The wines were nothing special but we did like the chocolate dessert wine which Bob let us taste last. Delicious! They also have a $25 4 wine tasting upstairs that we chose not to do. Maybe we would have enjoyed them more? Definitely worth your time to visit while your are in the the dry creek valley of Sonoma.

So, I may have only stopped by this winery to look at the gardens changing color and take a gander at their always beautiful Christmas decorations. =D If you are going to be in Healdsburg around the holiday season then this place is must see-they decorate their wine barrels for goodness sake-ha! For my full Healdsburg day click here goldiejames.com/christmas-in-healdsburg-ferrari-caranoThe staff is friendly and inviting and it is very Handicapped accessible with an elevator to take you straight down to the other tasting room. If you visit be sure not to miss the downstairs-that's where the fun is at! If you want to come along with me for my full day in Healdsburg then click the link.

Our friends are members and they took us to their favorite winery. It was so much fun. The wines are great and the gardens and villa are beautiful. Great date spot. Take lots of pictures and rub Boardeaux on your way out!

I have tasted at many Napa/Sonoma wineries. This is one of the very best. It was based on a recommendation. The wines are outstanding. Service is friendly, informative and excellent. I had a great experience. The grounds are also beautiful. The casual visitor can taste wines in a friendly atmosphere on the first floor. If you are serious about wine, go downstairs to a separate tasting room where they bring out their estate and limited production wines. It is worth it.

Excellent service! Even better grounds! Beautiful visit. Hector was awesome at the tasting bar. Don't forget to read the plaques on the wall below in the cellar. The White House is big on their Chardonnay.

This was our first time at Ferrari -Carano, but we will certainly return when in this part of the country. Tge grounds are absolutely amazing, and we loved every single wine we tried. Very "drinkable" pleasant and delectable.

Meet with Arron yesterday for a tour around FC. Tasted some great wines from there collection. Nothing better then there Fume Blanc. There high end reds were great. Arron did a great job.

It felt like I left California and travelled to Tuscany. What an amazing location. The gardens are spectacular. We ended up in the downstairs tasting room and it was gorgeous. The wines were good, the service was very helpful and informative but the grounds and gardens were breath taking.

This is one of the most opulent and over the top wineries in the area. Sonoma in general is known for its more subtle nature, as compared to Napa. But this winery kind of stands out and leaves an impression.
Gorgeous landscapes and architecture. Big Italian essence there, everywhere. The setting as a whole makes you feel important and special. Very grand.
The wine matches such characteristics. Most of the tastings Ive experienced were very good. A couple of caliber miss fires, but on the whole, their wine is truly outstanding. As a gift, you cant go wrong - people know exactly what they are receiving.

best wine is downstairs, but this place shouldn't be missed if you have tourists from out of state. Very impressive. we went on a Tuesday and had the place to ourselves! nice garden also. much more crowded on weekends. reasonable tasting fee, but miss the days when you didn't have to pay to taste!

We visited the winery for their special "Scentiments and Wine Tasting " combination. A great private tasting experience coupled with a sensory experience. Overall the gardens and grounds were unequaled in our wine tasting experiences------exceptionally beautiful and meticulously landscaped

We stopped in here because we thought they had sparkling wine (they don't) and because of all the great reviews. It's a large property and very beautiful and a little fancy. I prefer the smaller, simpler wineries but we still enjoyed visiting FC.
First off, we brought our lunch from Dry Creek General Store. This is not one of the wineries that allow you to picnic--my bad! However, the greeter was kind enough to let us enjoy our lunch on the patio since it was very slow (Thur.). We appreciated that! And when I asked about sparkling wine, the same person recommended Cast Wines across the street. Thanks again!!
My husband was the only taster this time around and opted for the reserve downstairs. He enjoyed many of the wines and thought it was a good experience. Tastings are pricey for Sonoma ($25 I think) but at least they offer something for it--good wine and beautiful surroundings to tour. The gardens are gorgeous as is the rest of the property. It's not one we'll return to but it was nice.

My wife and i toured the spectacular gardens before we attended the tastings. The view from the patio was breath taking. We did the reserve tasting downstairs - the winery has some beautiful rooms for private tastings.
A great selection of wines to taste, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and engaged well with the guests.

Scott and I loved our tasting here last week. The young man downstairs in the Enoteca was so knowledgeable and helpful! We had 2 flights -- one cabernets and the other pinot noirs.....Outstanding wines!! Had to buy 1/2 a case to bring home :) Grounds and gardens are also very beautiful in themselves.

Based on a recommendation, we purchased a glass of wine and wandered the mansion and gardens. Amazingly beautiful and picturesque! Make sure to go downstairs to see a gorgeous tasting room and wine cellar. Sit on the patio and look out at the hills and vineyards. Great for Christmas pictures!

Lovely grounds, beautiful setting but disappointing wines and snobby sommeliers. We had much better personable experiences at the smaller wineries nearby. We did buy three bottles to offset our tasting costs but none of them were memorable.

First and foremost, the grounds are absolutely spectacular! We were there on a beautiful sunny day and any picture you see on the web does not do the place justice. Had a private tour with Patrick and he was fantastic. Has been there about 20 years and there was nothing he didn't know about the winery or the wines. Very nice and you can tell he has a true passion for the winery. Also, want to thank Syl who we met the night before at a wine tasting function and he is also outstanding. Very helpful and truly cares that the patrons who visit the winery enjoy themselves. The beauty of Ferrari-Carano should not be missed!

Great Winery to visit. The grounds are amazing and the wines are incredible. We have been members since 2009 and each time we have the opportunity to visit is is always an excellent experience!

The Ferrari-Carano Winery was founded by Don and Rhonda Carano in 1981 and was acquired by Foley Family Wines in 2020. The Healdsburg Estate Winery, located in Dry Creek Valley, looks like a picture from a Garden magazine. Seated outdoors, surrounded by gardens and panoramic vineyard views, our tasting here felt like we were in a park and not a winery. I love their whites - classic Sonoma wines, perfect for every day (the Fumé Blanc is one of the first two wines they made). For a special occasion: PreVail Back Forty, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

This winery is head and shoulders above all others. Fine wines, great location and picture perfect gardens and architecture. Staff very friendly.

This is one of the most beautiful wineries in the Sonoma Valley. The grounds and gardens are spectacular. I found the tasting room a little stuffy and we were not greeted the way we have been at many other wineries in the area. We waited a long time to be acknowledged by the staff. I though their wines were good but not the best I had tried in the area. Would have included photos, but was bucketing down rain when we were there.

Our hostess was friendly and the wines were fine. However, given the opportunity to be a hero and accommodate an additional guest; they epically failed!
We had just come from Ferrari's parent owner- Chalkhill were our guest was made to feel welcome and appreciated...instead the young man that checked us in at Ferrari publicly shamed us with a "speech on what an inconvenience" it was to set another place at our table.
Grounds are stunning, wine is good, much better service and experience at other venues.

After having consumed Siena for the past five years, I finally had a chance to go to the winery. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds, flowers, gardens make you feel like you are back in Italy. While there I tasted a few of their other wines and of course left with a package.

The Japanese inspired garden was lovely-even in the fall. Colors on the maples, bridges adding visual interest, water burbling throughout. Truly lovely.
As you approach the wine shop, the view over the vineyards towards the mountains is drop-dead gorgeous. Except that you can see that view from the tasting room bar, you might not want to go inside but the wines DO beckon. We tasted 5 wines ranging from their rosé to their ‘Siena’ for a fairly reasonable $15, which when 3 bottles are purchased is refunded. Easy enough to do. Many will purchase a bottle or a glass to enjoy on the terrace. A delightful place to savor delightful wines.

AS this location does not serve any food, we thought we'd bring our own to enjoy with their wines. But we were abruptly informed that we could not bring any food in. So we went back to the parking lot and ate our olives, salami, cheese and crackers in the car and then tasted their wines. Would have been better paired !

An opulent family estate set in the heart of Healdsburg with amazing gardens and very fine wine educators. I have always enjoyed this family's white wines, but what a journey through such beautiful gardens and vineyards and to learn the history. I am from this area and still find it to be a great group of farmers with hearts as big as lions.
Book a tour here and you won't be disappointed.

Go here. I have been to thirty plus northern CA wineries. This might be the most beautiful place in either valley. Take some time and walk the gardens, they are wonderful. The wines are solid but I did not enjoy what they were pouring that day.
You can always count on their wine when you eat at quality restaurants so I discounted that days offerings. The staff is fun and the price to taste is fair. Great gift shop and I can only imagine what the "member" room downstairs has to offer. CK

The winery tour was great, plus the gardens and vineyards are terrific. What made the trip even better was the employee who did the tasting. He not only provided great information about the winery and company, but he also offered us up some great suggestions for nearby restaurants.
The only issue we had was finding the winery. We tried using our GPS, and when we didn't arrive at the destination, called the winery. Their advice "turn off your GPS!". There are a few arrow signs for all the nearby wineries, so read those when you get close.

Beautiful Grounds, Amazing Hospitality, GREAT Wines! My husband and I finally joined the Ferrari Carano Wine club (we have been fans of their wines for years). The reserve tasting downstairs in the 'cellar' is really lovely, however, if you choose the traditional tasting upstairs, make sure to at least venture downstairs and take a look at the beautiful Ferrari carano 'wine cellar' . This a beautiful Winery that you definitely want to visit and one that you want to consider joining their wine club!

Each year a popup appears on my Outlook that it is "tulip time" at Ferrari-Carano. For about 3 weeks per year thousands of tulip peek through the ground and provide color bursts to a garden waking up from winter. The grounds of FC are so beautiful with stunning vineyard vistas, a meandering garden with bronze statues and a villa with splendid decor. Pristinely clean and glistening this is one gorgeous property.
We go here annually as locals -even without visitors. Make a reservation for the free 10:00 am daily tour. It lasts about an hour and takes you around the grounds and relays the family history and wine production insight. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of our our tour guide. She was delightful, spunky and well informed. We learned a lot in a well presented and fun format.
The tour ends where wine tasting can begin. The price of a tasting is not part of the free tour. We did not do a tasting this go around but have consumed many bottles of delicious FC wine in our past. Please note, critters are not welcome on the grounds so plan accordingly.
Whether you are a local looking to enjoy a partial day outing or visiting and want to experience mass beauty and abundance that a day in wine country can offer - Ferrari-Carano should be added to your trip list.

Ferrari Carano is one of our all time favorite wineries. The grounds are immaculate with many photo opportunities. The winery itself is an architectural beauty. Walking downstairs one will see White House menus with Ferrari Carano wines. The wine tasting is an extra pleasure.

This winery is really one of the best in Sonoma. A good tip to know is that they have two tasting areas. One on the main level and another one down the stairs in the cellar. The cellar has more high-end wines. We did a tasting down there and though the tasting is more expensive, it was absolutely worth it. Beyond the tasting, the grounds are absolutely beautiful as well. They have a nice seating area overlooking the vines. Really recommend if you like pinot noirs and good chardonnays.

Ferrari-Carano winery has an outstanding garden that is only surpassed by it's wine and it's tasting room. Landscaping and gardens are a can't miss!

We were recommended this winery and it truly was in a gorgeous setting with a lovely terrace and beautiful gardens. Great for the two people in our group who didn't drink wine.
There is also free wifi which is a bonus.
The wine drinkers chose to go for a tasting which at $25 for four tastings was a little OTT, and to recoup this charge you had to spend $150 which we thought was excessive.
It was a good experience but there are wineries which charge less or don't charge at all so we'll visit them next time.

I have to say this was a complete let down. We belong to the wine club here and actually planned the entire trip around coming to Ferrari Carano to see it. I had seven different communications from the staff there about my trip - I was celebrating my 50th bday. They asked what wine I liked, when I was visiting etc etc. I had very high expectations for them admittedly. I have been a club member for years and was so excited to visit!
We arrived at the winery and the grounds are amazing. Simply stunning. We checked in and we’re given a small table at the back of the patio so not much of a view which was disappointing since we are club members.
And that was it. We did the tasting and we’re sent on our way. I thought I would at least get a baseball cap or something. After all the messages from them prior and then nothing at all the day of. It was really disappointing. We received better service at the other small vineyards we went to during the week. Such a missed opportunity for them. I will be cancelling my club membership now. Would rather give my money to the smaller wineries who make the effort. I don’t know if this is a result of the buyout but I will say the service was disappointing.

The experience here is amazing as is the scenery. I recommend the downstairs tasting. My wife and I found this winery on our honeymoon and were totally impressed with the wines and the experience. Everyone who has a chance should venture out to Ferrari-Carano!

The tour itself is free but you have to make reservations. The private tasting we reserved was Scentiments and did have a fee associated with it. For the tour - you are given a tour of the gardens and taken in where the barrels are stored and given a high level overview of the whole wine making process as well as a brief history of how Ferrari-Carano came to be. I thought the tour was good. Some areas of the tour are public and could be seen just on your own walking around but other areas like the downstairs area which resembles a cave is not for public traffic. Tour ended downstairs in a tasting room. We had a private tasting scheduled but the other couple with us did a tasting downstairs. There is also tastings available upstairs in their main giftshop but I believe the downstairs option has some of their reserved wines and so of course it costs more. We both loved our Scentiments tasting and would highly recommend it to anyone. I thought it was very affordable and educational as well. It was 35$ per person and lasted about an hour. We never felt rushed at all. We tasted two whites, two reds and a port. I don't care much for port but even I liked the honey taste of it. In fact all the wines were exceptional but I'm not an experienced wine drinker by any means. I just know what I like. Some places no longer offer breadsticks or anyone to clear away the taste of wine between sips but this place did I really appreciated that especially going from a Chardonnay to a Pino Noir. We were able to take our time and really savor the flavors of the wine and it was interesting how after you took a sip and then smelled the cherries or oak wood samples presented then tasted the wine again, how it changed. Really educational.

This has been my first trip to Napa and I have to say I have experienced some great wineries, but Ferrari-Canaro has got to be one of the most beautiful grounds. The views from the outside are just immaculate. The front gardens are perfectly manicured, the wooden bridges, the statues, everything about the front garden is beautiful. Then walking to the back seeing the vineyard the columns everything perfectly manicured in the back also. Walking inside the store has everything you would imagine you would want to buy once you experience their wines. We went downstairs to the lower bar David our Sommelier was great, he gave us such a great tasting. I have to admit I am a white wine drinker and have been converted on this trip. I know also love red wine. Ferrari Canaro has got a Cabernet Sauvignon and their Tresor I love!! Can't wait to go back a. Next time maybe have lunch out on the terrace.

Came here for a girls day wine trip. The property was absolutely gorgeous, the landscaping and gardens were spectacular to walk through, did a tasting upstairs and downstairs and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! The El Dorado Noir is officially my favorite wine and will be going back VERY soon!!!

We are already wine club members here, but wanted to bring our friends to taste. We were warmly greeted, and headed downstairs to the reserve wine tasting room. We were greeted by Anna, who was outstanding and took such good care of us. She was very personable, warm and very attentive. We love this winery and have been members for over 4 years now. If you haven't been here- this is a MUST when visiting the Dry Creek Valley- the gardens are stunning, and the wines exceptional!!!!!

This has to be the most beautiful landscaped property in the valley. And then the building itself is like a 16th century villa surrounded by nothing but more fabulous landscaping. The pool reminds one of the elegance at Hearst Castle. Be sure and go down the spiral staircase to the enclosed barrel room. It's awesome and quite breathtaking. And their wines are tasty also, though a bit pricey.

We all enjoyed the bold bronze statues, pleasing ponds, trickling water features, terrific terrace as we sipped and savored pleasing wines on this magnificent property. Another must see masterpiece! Friendly staff!

If you are coming to Sonoma County wine country make sure this stop is planned into your tour. The grounds have the best gardens in the area. The gardens are well maintained and there are multiple life size sculptures placed throughout. The winery building is also a spectacular site to be enjoyed. The winery appears as a marble palace with the gardens surrounding. Inside the tasting room you are offered the opportunity to taste the wines, and yes there is a tasting fee. There are the usual t-shirts and misc gift items for sale in the tasting room. Enjoy.

Everything in this establishment is linked to the excellence: wines, customer service, gardens, buildings and vineyards.
Here perhaps we tasted one of the best Californian Chardonnay, its delicate white, 2013 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay Reserve. Its gardens are carefully maintained and are a visual delight.

We have toured several wineries and Ferrari-Carano is one of the best. It is one fo the larger more established wineries in the region and they do a great job of explaining the process from start to finish. If you're a little more sophisticated, they can drill down to provide you with some really interesting insights. They also have an eco-freindly approach that is also unqiue.

One of the most beautiful properties, but too much of it is off limits unless you make special arrangements. Terrace could use more set shading without the need to move around umbrellas or shift your body to hide from the intense sun that summer brings. Particularly enjoyed the white wines.

We live in wine country and when we have guests visiting we always head up to FC for the wonderful gardens, selection of interesting things to purchase in the tasting room, and to sample the wines. The winery is close to Lake Sonoma, so on a nice day it is an easy connection to make for a picnic. Depending on how long you want to spend tasting wines, this can be an hour or more stop.

Best grounds in Dry Creek Valley. A must visit. Definitely put this on your tour list. They were packed for Passport Weekend.

When you drive up you will see top notch gardens. When you enter the tasting room, again you see first class ambiance. The wine is excellent. The winery has a rich history with notables who have visited i.e., the Bush's and Reagan's (Presidential Families). This is a must see if you are in the area.

Ferrari-Carano takes your breath away as you walk up to the villa for your tasting, and when you get to the villa you see beautiful gardens and the winery backdropped by beautiful mountain vistas.
The tasting room is spacious and pretty with an opportunity to browse wine-themed products. The tasting bar offers a range of varietals and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. The wines are great and were the most affordable of the trip.
It sits near the end of the winery run and would be a great place to start your day and work back toward town.

We visit the winery once every year on our annual pilgrimage to California. We had a great tasting experience with 5 people from my Family. The grounds and buildings are immaculate. Take a walk through the gardens. The staff gave us a lot of information on their wines and the 2016 Merlot and 2016 Cab were great. We ordered a case. We received a $5 shipping offer in our email. Jump on their website ahead of time and maybe you will receive a offer.

I love the grounds and I love the Sauvignon Blanc. The chard is delicious, too. The wine pourers are knowledgeable and friendly so I often include a visit when I am visiting the Sonoma Valley.

We’ve been going to the Ferrari-Carano Winery for four years. Probably the best in Sonoma County. Highly recommend the 10 am tour to see and experience the impeccable landscaping and behind-the-scenes facets of how Don and Rhonda Carano built this remarkable establishment up from their vision on a chunk of land. Spoiler Alert: Ferrari name has no linkage to the car (tour guide info). We were told Don passed away a year or two ago, but Rhonda now runs the show. Our tour guides have also said that only Rhonda can approve every single horticultural change on the beautiful grounds; very remarkable and talented! Their downstairs and upstairs wine tastings are excellent as is the staff. Peer though the locked gates downstairs at their private locker of wines throughout the world and your jaw will drop. We usually leave with two cases of wine (not from the private cellar). If you stay at the Vintners Resort in north Santa Rosa and dine at the adjacent John Ash & Co. fine restaurant, you can bring two bottles from the winery and they will waive the corkage fee. We will keep returning to this winery.

This is one of the pretties wineries we visited. The staff were friendly. We just did not think the wine was more than average.

Beautiful grounds and building. Wonderful wines. We enjoyed the downstairs tasting room. Adam was a very knowledgeable server who took us through our tasting flights. He make the experience very enjoyable. We will return.

Each time I visit I am reminded of truly exceptional this venue is. It is elegant and comfortable. The garden areas around the venue are very interesting and I love that they label the plants!
This time we tasted downstairs by the impressive barrel room. I enjoy the way they do their tastings there. You may engage the server with as much or little information on their wines. We found the tasting room to be relaxing and for us the perfect ending to a fabulous day in Dry Creek.
It is always on our itinerary in this area.

We stopped by as a friend of mine recommended the experience. We did a Winery Tour followed by a tasting. The entire staff we met were fantastic. Brian was our Wine expert. The tasting was great. The Wine club is a great deal. We were a little skeptical at first, due to the size of this company--but immediately we felt like we were at a Family Style Boutique Winery. Strongly recommend this as a must place to visit. The best part--all the wines are great!

Our friend is a member of the Foley Wine Society. She and her husband had been staying with us for a week and wanted to treat us to something special, so she booked a reservation for the Sunday Wine & Brunch. It was a mixed experience, so breaking it up into "the good" and the "not so good".
The good:
-Upon arrival, we were greeted with sparkling wine, which is always appreciated, and were asked to enjoy the view and the grounds while waiting for our table (we had a reservation, so not sure what happened there).
-The gardens, the view and the building are beautiful. A new entrance to the building is under construction and the reception area is stunning.
-Everyone we encountered from the beginning of the experience to the end was personable.
-The menu offerings all looked delicious and making a choice was difficult. The strawberry shortcake dessert with pound cake and creme fraiche was a wonderful ending to the meal.
-The Sangiovese and Back Forty Cabernet Sauvignon offered with brunch were both enjoyable wines. When I requested a replacement for the Sauvignon Blanc, it was no problem and I was offered anything off the wine list as a replacement. We also were offered revisits of the wines that accompanied our meals.
The not so good:
-Despite the dining room not being packed, the service was very slow.
-With one exception, everyone's eggs were noticably overcooked and we had to request replacements.
-The rest of the food was cold.
-When we requested salt, pepper, hot sauce and ketchup to accompany our dishes, it seemed to take forever to receive those items. My mother in law had accompanied us to brunch and she would not touch her food til she had her salt, so there ensued an uncomfortable wait for those items.
-My friend ordered a case of wine, but asked that they not ship it until the end of the following week since they wouldn't be home until then to accept the shipment. They shipped it the very next day.
At $100 a person ($76 a person for Wine Society members), was there value? Everything is so expensive these days and the good outweighed the bad, but the bad was very avoidable, so we felt it wasn't worth the price paid. I recommended that my friend send FC an email advising of our experience in the hopes that they would do something to make it right, but crickets so far.
With the wine industry in the doldrums and with so many excellent wine experiences in Sonoma, I doubt we'll return.

In complete transparency, we would give the vineyard grounds 5 stars for the gardens and location, and 2 stars for the actual tasting experience. So we’ll net out at 3 with the advice that people should come for the Gardens, but don’t bother with the energy-less rote statements in the premium tasting lounge downstairs – you can do much better elsewhere.
The gardens though are spectacular – a little stream running through multiple gardens, bridges to cross, flowers and trees to admire. There were several gardeners plying their trade and were very gracious and interested in talking to us about the gardens, the oak cork trees, rose bushes etc. We walked around for a long while enjoying the shade on a warm day – it is truly a magical place.
Unfortunately the magic died downstairs with the tasting.....they seemed disinterested in their story, serving too many customers at once perhaps, but no emotion or energy displayed at all. The only time our server even showed a speck of excitement was when trying to sell us some wine at the end of the tasting.
Visit the Gardens – Skip the Tasting.

We enjoyed the 4 wines with 4 tastings.. Excellent job.. Truly beautiful and well done.. Top favorite..

Ended up buying more bottles at Ferrari-Carano than anywhere else! The tasting is inexpensive and their wines are affordable and delicious. I particularly liked the Zinfandel.

The most spectacular wine, lower level tasting room and grounds. This was one of my favorites. We tasted downstairs and the Reserve is just spectacular. We had a whole lesson on glasses which was very interesting. Must see!!

I was part of the family visiting to the Ferrari-Carano Winery as was also appalled at the uncalled-for rudeness of the security guard...
The gate was open at 5:30 PM and there were no signs indicating closing time, An employee such as the one we encountered, does much harm to the image of Napa Valley.

What a spectacular experience we had tasting wines in their Cellar. Had all sorts of wines, but I specifically enjoyed a 5 wine flight of Pinot. My sister only sipped some of her wines, thus I had to finish the rest.....they were great. Ended up buying more that I could carry on the plane, and somehow got signed up for their best wine club. Can't wait till that hits the old CC. Just have to drink more..... Lovely place, great wines, nice staff. Add this to the list.

We have enjoyed FC's mid-priced cabs and decided to visit the vineyard during a Sonoma visit. Good choice! We signed up for a tasting and were much more impressed by their wines than we anticipated. We sampled four wines and ended up buying a half-dozen bottles. We aren't normally dessert wine fans, but we suggest trying Baci. Very good! We will visit again on our next trip to wine country!

Your fantastic experience will start well befor you reach the tasting room....with the stunningly beautiful gardens! And then there is the delicious wine served in a beautiful tasting room by the most friendly servers! If you are lucky, you will get Ken, who is quite entertaining and so welcoming! I bought 2 bottles, a red (Siena) and white (Savignon Blanc), and thus had the tasting fee waived, but could have bought every wine I tasted. Even the rest rooms are beautiful! Highly recommended!

The grounds are amazing, and it was Fall so the scenery was in beautiful fall colors. The selection of wines was much broader than I had expected. Very good wine, and some were excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, a great visit.

Went on a tour of the facility before doing a wine tasting. The tour was excellent, so thorough and informative, inside, outside, cellar, machines all aspects of the wine making process. The basic wine tasting in the upstairs tasting room was good the server was a bit aloof and didn't show any interest in helping or talking to us about the wine, but the Enoteca reserve tasting that is downstairs was amazing, the server was much more friendly and knowledgeable and engaging. If you love wine and want some excellent wine to appreciate and don't mind spending some extra money, skip the basic tasting and skip right to the reserve in the cellar, the wine, the service and the experience is so much better.

This place has a very beautiful garden, very much like a mini Buchart Gardens (Victoria Canada) - small but very well kept and in low seasons, with little traffic, very serene and peaceful.
The building is also quite pretty, with a large basement "library" of wines. Good place to explore a bit.
The wine tasting at $10 for a flight of 5 different wines is pretty good deal - and the wines were interesting - I liked their rose best for some reason, not too sweet. Their pinot is also not bad.

Always on our list to visit - love the wines - the place is just gorgeous. The tastings, staff and facility is wonderful. The grounds, gardens, the entry walkway, outdoor sitting area can't be beat. Take the time to visit the wine storage area and multiple tasting areas. The gift area is a great find for yourself or to bring back special things for your loved ones. A trip to wine country is note complete until you visit and taste at Ferrari-Carano Winery.

We always try to add in some 'destination' stops when we are touring, and Ferrari-Carano would be that stop this year for us. The grounds and buildings were really nice, just a great stop on our trip up the Dry Creek. It was late in the day and we did not really get much of a chance to sample the wines, we'll do that next time!

This should NOT be the place where you go for a winery visit!
The outside sitting area is under construction so you don’t get to see the vineyards and enjoy your experience outside.
Instead you get to sit indoors in a tasting room with no real ambiance and you could be anywhere but in wine country.
Immaculate grounds are not the case and you don’t get to see anything.
The wine samples… well for $90 you could go to Sam’s Club and buy 3 of the 4 wines and get whole bottles not the maybe 2 to 3 ounce pours you get.
Honestly the Williamson Winery sit down food and wine pairing is only $10 more and a complete meal with four tastings. And the staff is more attentive and knowledgeable.
Give this place a complete pass if you are smart and looking for a good experience.
I am happy to discuss with the winery about this but doubt they will reach out

Ferrari Carrano has beautiful grounds and a lovely tasting room! We stopped here just for a tasting and had a very helpful staff member, and decent wine. I wish I could say better things about the wine we tasted, as we have drink Ferrari Carrano wines before and really loved them, but the ones on their tasting menu were not as delicious, in our opinion, as the random bottles we had purchased previously from the liquor store. I still give this four stars because of the facility and service, and because we know we like many of their wines and so we may have just chosen tasting wines that were not as much to our taste buds. For the relatively inexpensive tasting fee and lovely patio I would day that this winery is worth a stop.

This was a place I wanted to love, and didn't. If your goal is wine expertise go elsewhere. If you want a pretty place to wine-taste and don't really care about the experience, this is your place.
We went to the downstairs Enoteca and not one of the wines we chose was remarkable. More importantly, the service was just dismal (as others have noted). After such a great experience earlier that day at Seghesio's reserve tasting we were honestly just shocked. We got no recommendations, no explanations and zero warmth from any of the staff. I felt like I was being poured wine by fraternity bro, former tattoo parlor gIrls and surfers. No one explained what level sommelier they were, or history of the winery/vines, much less anything about the FC products. And this was in the reserve room.
The grounds are beautiful, the tasting cellar is lovely to look at, but I'd go elsewhere. Anywhere else.

I have been drinking the Ferrari Carano Reserve Chardonnay for almost 20 years and enjoyed many of their other wines on a pretty much regular basis as well however....never made it to their Winery. What a mistake! This is by far THE most beautiful, friendly and accomodating winery in the Napa Valley area. WOW is all I can say, what a wonderful, magical and visitor friendly place this is, my wife and I were super impressed! On top of it...their wine sample was by far the cheapest for the best 5 tastes we had during the course of an entire day. The gardens surrounding the "castle" are spectacular and made us feel as if we were in Tuscany.
Since it was our last stop and we were short on time we were a bit stressed and under pressure but the hostess serving our wines still took wonderful care of us despite our scattered mood. She was even willing to let us taste the black muscat which was not on the tasting menu. Holy cow, what a superbe surprise. We are not big dessert wine drinkers but this one is out of this world hence...we bought as many bottles as we could stowe in our convertible car.
Last but not least, we took a peak at their underground wine cellar which was again....absolutely meticulous and spectacular. Go see it, you won't regret it!!!

We were a total of 17. My whole family (parents, siblings & kids) went here. We took some family photos in their gardens. Really Beautiful place. We were surprised that the tasting was very inexpensive and the wine was really good. Most of us bought a few bottles to take home.

Ferrari has been and will remain my favorite winery to visit. Ever time we are there we are treated like royalty and the service is the best when we are sampling our wines. They are always willing to take the time to answer questions and give us detailed information about the wine we are sampling. I first discovered Ferrari wines in 1997 and to this day they remain my favorite wines, whether whites or reds. This was my 5TH visit to the winery. We were there with 2 other couples who have never been to the Napa/Sonoma area and they were in awe of the beauty of the grounds surrounding this winery. The gardens are just beautiful and meticulous care is given to them. A must see when in the Healdsburg area.

When we first visited several years ago this was a personable accessible winery. It's gotten a little big for its britches, think Napa, and frankly the wines are no where near as impressive as they used to be. Too bad. Better to head to Sbragia at the end of the road. Great views of the valley and terrific wines.

I've been a huge Ferrari fan for a long time now and being able to actually go and enjoy the property and the reserve wines was absolutely amazing! The grounds are beautiful to walk around and enjoy on a nice afternoon and the tasting down stairs in the reserve area is absolutely delicious and worth every dollar. We ended up ordering a couple of 3 Liters to take home and put on display at the house! Cheers. Tresor and the regular cab are my favorites!

Loved this winery - and the grounds are fantastic. Superb wine tasting down in the cellar. This was the best of the 4 wineries we visited in Napa and Sonoma.

If you're on Dry Creek Rd, you should stop here. Some good to great wines, decent prices. Grounds are fabulous!

We were unable to visit the vineyard on this trip but enjoyed tasting the wines at the tasting room in Healdsburg. On our last trip to the area the Ferrari-Carano Winery was the most beautiful winery we visited. The gardens are awesome and the winery was like a Italian palace. I would highly recommend going out of your way to visit this winery.

Having visited 7 or 8 wineries this was our favorite.the grounds and the view are excellent. Even if you don't drink this is worth the stop. Wine here reasonably priced. Nice gift shop also. Just a great place to relax and have a glass....

This is one of the most beautiful wineries in Sonoma County. Gardens are breathtaking. I was especially pleased to see the Cork Oak trees. I "discovered" Siena wine at Farrari Carano, a new one (for me) that will become a regular on my table.

What a beautiful place!! 2 different options for tasting upstairs and down. We opted to be upstairs and see the wonderful grounds. The young lady pouring wine was so nice, and helped us with our tasting. Didn’t live all the wines, but that’s exactly why we went to taste them!

This is one of the most spectacular winery settings anywhere. Gorgeous gardens, lovely views, pleasant outdoor seating area, and a grand house. The woman who presented our tasting was nice enough, but not quite as knowledgeable as we expected. High end wines not available in specialty shops were great, albeit pricey. Definitely worth a visit just to see the grounds.

Visited this winery while in Sonoma County last week. The wine tasting was good. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Just ok wines. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful and that made it worth the stop.

As always the staff here is exceptionally friendly and courteous. We come here to buy some of their wines not available in stores. A quick tasting is always on the to do list. It's a lovely place to simply hang out, enjoy a bottle of wine in the typical Tuscan style courtyard with views reminiscent of the rolling hills in the heart of the Brunello area.

Beautiful view and grounds but terrible service. They seemed put out and did not offer any information about the wines just poured and seemed in a hurry to move us along

We visited several wineries in the area, but it was nice to also do a tasting right in town before dinner at Ferrari-Carano. Delicious wines, very helpful folks there. Their winery, just a few miles away, is very nice as well.

Ferrari-Carano is a must see in the Healdsburg area. We have visited the winery multiple times through the years. The grounds and garden are beautiful. Worth the visit alone. The staff is very informative and our tasting was excellent. They had a knock out special on a Merlot. I have a case coming my way. Our Hostess was kind enough to let us try multiple wines not on the menu. 2 for 1 Visa signature helps with your costs.

This winery has absolutely beautiful grounds. We were there too early in the morning for my husband and I to begin wine tasting although it was offered at the time we were there. We just didn't want to start that early in the day. This will be top on our list next time we visit as we truly enjoyed the grounds and the winery itself. Ferrari-Carano Winery is a must see!

Excellent wines in a gorgeous setting. Take the time to walk the grounds. They are stunning! Loved the Pinot Noir and sent some home but there are many more wonderful choices to love!

Incredible view and gardens, even a giant cork tree! Great service and charcuterie. Lots of beautiful flowers along with the honey bees!

Beautiful setting to taste excellent, well priced wines. Excellent staff. The gardens are a must. Large beautiful patio overlooking vineyards and Dry Creek Valley.

Beautiful property, patio and reserve tasting room. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our lunch on the patio with glass of Pinot, beautiful setting! The reserve tasting room was amazing! This would be a great place to bring a group of friends for a private tasting one one of the private rooms or simply enjoy the reserve room. Great place for Pinot!

We decided to do the reserve tasting downstairs and it did not disappoint. John provided us with excellent service and we loved their buttery style chardonnays. The estate is spectacular! The views are put of this world and the estate is glamorous! We ended up joining the wine club with our other friends!

Always love this place, Stopped to order some wine for Delivery and ended up staying for a couple of new tastings

Ferrari is usually high on my recommendation list when people ask where to go for wine tasting. While there are other places I like better the grounds at Ferarri are beautiful and the wine is good with a wide range of options. Beginners will find well priced options while there are also nice wines for the more experienced taster. If you are coming from out of town I recommend dropping by for a visit.

The grounds to this winery are a must see. You feel you have been transported to France or Italy?
The wine tasting was informative.
We didn't buy wine due to out of state shipping, but got several good ideas to take home. Worth the visit.

My wife and I visited this winery a few months ago. From the moment you drive through the gate you get the feeling that this place is different from other Californian wineries. The property has been developed with a blueprint from Bordeaux, and has a distinct French feel. The green, neatly manicured lawns contrast the beautiful white stone path which leads you from the car park to the main building. In front of the main building, there is a courtyard of manicured box-hedge bordered flower beds. This spot also looks out over beautiful vineyards and a to another distant courtyard with a large fountain.
Inside the main building there is a retail outlet and tasting room. Downstairs you can see through a glass wall into a very large barrel room. There is another tasting area downstairs and a room which I would imagine could be hired for private functions. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the quality of the wine matches the spectacular elegance of this winery. If you are visiting Sonoma to visit wineries, this is a ‘’must see’’ property. A truly beautiful place.

Very impressive facility with the surrounding gardens as nice as we have seen in both Napa and Sonoma. Everything was well maintained both in the building and outside of the building. They have a beautiful tasting patio overlooking their vineyards which we all had a hard time leaving. Our wine choice after many tastings, was their Sauvignon Blanc. It was clear, clean, crisp and simply delicious.

Want to eat here? Nope. Want to drink a bottle of its wines after a tasting? Can't. Want to have an additional tasting to the four you had? Not an option.
However....
The chardonnay on offer at the Ferrari Carano Winery is the oaky buttery taste you were seeking in a California brand of white. Upon tasting, you understand why they don't have a license for all the other amenities.
You can taste-test all the chardonnays between Napa and Sonoma. The Ferrari-Carano brand, trumps them all. And then we understood why we travelled 3,000 miles from the East Coast to taste their wines. The perfectly curated grounds, which evoke the feeling of Tuscany, certainly don't hurt. http://www.ferrari-carano.com/

Such a beautiful winery. Be sure to visit the bottom basement for a special treat of exclusive wines that you can only purchase onsite.

If you're looking for a beautiful vineyard with a complete tour from vines to wines, this is your place. Knowledgeable staff (request to be on Tony's tour). Lovey grounds and great wines (The reason we stopped by in the first place) make this a great combo. We drove over an hour from Sonoma to check out their vineyard and we were not disappointed. Do plan ahead and make a reservation.

We booked a reserve tasting here based solely upon our friend's recommendation that the grounds are beautiful and the view from the tasting room is spectacular. When we arrived, we found out they were under construction. You could hear the banging and construction work and all of the windows in the tasting room were covered up with plastic so you could not see anything. The wines themselves are just ok. We were pretty upset they never told us as another winery in Napa we were planning to visit had called to let us know they were under construction. When I reached out after to customer service, I got a snippy email back informing me that when they confirmed my reservation by email, it stated in the email they were under construction.
When I finally found the confirmation, there was absolutely NO mention that they were under construction. I immediately wrote them again that I was not informed and that the least they should do is refund us the tasting fee. I got complete radio silence... no response at all. There were so many wonderful wineries we went to in the area. Please skip this one. Feel free to message me for better wineries to visit.

Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I was a little disappointed in the wines this year. I've been a big fan in the past, but they didn't seem to be on the same level. Nice to visit, but not a must see.

My wife and I get here about once a year and have been coming here long before they built Villa Fiore. We have never been disappointed. Great wines in a stunning park like setting. Even if you don't drink wine you should visit just to see the beautiful grounds. If you are a wine taster make sure you go downstairs to the Enoteca for the reserve and special wines.

First class winery and a wonderful tour!! The wine is awesome however a little on the pricey side. The garden and grounds are beautiful and everything was accessible for a person with a walker. We would recommend taking the tour before wine tasting and you won't find a more first class place!!

We stopped here late on a Monday and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They have a nice garden. But the beautiful pool you can see from the gift shop is off limits. We were told there is only one tour that leaves at 10am.

From the moment we arrived we were all enchanted by the beautiful gardens! Quiet places of solitude with water ponds, benches to sit, and beautiful trees and natural landscaping meander the grounds, immaculately kept. The vineyard comes right up to the building and gardens. Our guide explained the complete process of wine making ... from the vine to the bottle, taking us thru the buildings where the barrels of wine are stored. On the lower floor is the wine tasting room. When you first enter the building they have a wonderful gift shop with unique items to purchase if you choose. Very glad to have made this stop!!

This tasting room is in the heart of Healdsburg and we had intended to partake in a wine and chocolate pairing. Due to our own fault, we didn't plan well enough alone in advance for this as we arrived ~1hr prior to close and was only allowed to do a wine tasting.
I will not name names, but the brunette lady working the counter immediately rubbed the entire group (of six) the wrong way. Her caustic and often disrespectful manner, comments, gestures made it impossible for the group to pay for anything other than the "service" already rendered.
I'll be the bigger person and withhold additional comments - but if you walk in for a tasting and there is a tall brunette (further description would only be rude), turn around immediately ... If not for my wife, I probably would have been asked to leave (politely of course) ... but asked nonetheless.

One of the most beautiful wineries. Great, inexpensive tasting. Awesome wines at very good price points. They put Fume Blanc aka Sauvignon Blanc on the map at an affordable price.

My wife and I went to Napa, and this was the first winery we went to, and the best. And that is saying something, as we went to 12 wineries over our 4 days. We did the Terroir tasting, and we were hosted by Kate. Just a sweet, sweet person, very knowledgeable. We were led downstairs to a room that was very quiet and elegant, with the wines and charcuterie plate set-up for our tasting. Of course, we wanted to visit Ferrari-Carano because we love the wines, and the experience reinforced our perspective on the consistently high quality of their products. Highly recommend!

We were staying in low key Healdsburg and I was kind of taken back by the grandiose Ferrari Winery. The place is huge and almost breathtaking. We had arranged for an early wine pairing. Kate, our sommelier, for the private wine tasting started us off with a Savignon Blanc, and it was delicious. The 5 course pairing was one if not the highlight of our trip to wine country. Wine was ordered and is en route to NOLA. Highly recommend!!!

This was a winery set up for us. I probably would have skipped it as I've tried this label in the stores. We enjoyed a nice flight of wines with my friend picking up some Pinot Noir when she only drinks sparkling wines. The gift shop is great and there is a more exclusive tasting room in the basement. However, the views from the regular tasting area allow you to look out onto the beautiful vineyards. Take extra time to walk through the gardens. We were able to see some tulips coming out along with Daffodils. What an amazing estate to visit!

Beautiful setting. The gardens and view from the patio was stunning. Our host, Harry, was very knowledgeable and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the wines very much.

Exceptionally rude staff. There are far better tastings and venues nearby with better customer service.

Loved this place! You can choose 4 wines for $5 or 4 wines for $15. We did the $5 flights, what a good deal!! I tasted their Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (this is the one you see everywhere), their Tre Terre Chardonnay, their Bella Luce white blend (chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat blend), and Baci, their chocolate infused Zinfadel (super tastes of chocolate, would be great to have w a dessert that's not chocolate or that'd be too much!). They were all tasty!!

Come for the view. You will not be disappointed. The wines was very good, too. The view is spectacular and maybe the best in the area.

The grounds of Ferrari-Carano are manicured, gorgeous, and a testament to the vintners’ attention to detail based on the quality of their wines is extended into all aspect of their operations. Highly recommend!

We have our regular Ferrari-Carano favorites at home but this visit was an eye opener.
Turned us on to the taste of some fabulous Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. We are so glad we visited!

They must have had someone really sharp design this place. Inside and out, this is one of the most beautiful wineries around. The wine (especially downstairs) is outstanding. The upscale feel of the place might lead one to believe the tasting would be snobby or stuffy. It wasn't at all. The people running the place were personable and very gracious. Definitely on my top list of places to return to. It is also in Dry Creek Valley which is one of my favorite spots in California to go wine tasting.

This was our last stop on a tour of Dry Creek wineries. This villa is gorgeous. The gardens should be their own attraction! The wine is very reasonably priced and very tasty. We left with a case. I would like to see a few more outdoor sitting areas but overall the history and architecture of this winery is well worth a stop.

Beautiful drive up the Russian River Valley to this oasis. Visit their underground cellar for the Enoteca tasting, where extremely knowledgable staff will take you through the flights. This is where we fell in love with wines from the Anderson Valley. Since we traveled from abroad, we only had space for 12 bottles and we ended up buying three of them here! The Cab and Pinot Noirs were excellent, their Lazy Creek Rosé of Pinot Noir is one of the best rosé's I've had. Then end with their dessert wine and some blueberries... just perfect.

We arrived early on a Saturday and managed to beat the crowds. The grounds are beautifully manicured. After our tastings we enjoyed just walking around. We did a tasting in the main tasting room upstairs looking out at a beautiful fountain. Our server was friendly and guided us to try some wines we could only get at the winery. She also had us try the dessert wine with some pinot noir soaked cherries covered in chocolate which was amazing. We also shared a tasting downstairs in the Enoteca tasting bar to try the reserve and limited release wines. This was definitely worth trying. They let you share a tasting so we could do both tastings. Even though our server was serving us and another group we never felt ignored. We loved this winery!

The best winery to visit in Dry Creek Valley, every thing is first class. This is the winery I always take my out of town visitors.

Enjoyed the beautiful views, we bought a bottle of wine. My only request is wish we could walk the grounds more to check out the vineyard out better!
Amazing, Must Visit Winery!!!
This is the most beautiful winery we have been to! Gorgeous grounds and landscape. Cute gift shop and upscale tasting rooms! The wines were fabulous and yes we went home with a couple cases. And a few items from the gift store.
This is a must see winery!
