Great place to get away, went while working in the area just to relax. Who doesn't like a beachside walk?

Water in March 2018 was a bit cool, but absolutely clear. Beach was spotless, lifeguards on duty. Slight drop-off into water from beach could be an issue on yellow-flag days. Other beach-goers were quiet and classy. No place to change, that I noticed. Parking was easy but on hot weekends or holidays must fill up very quickly!

Great beach park! Although we had a much better time walking along the road towards the city and stopping by at some of the bars there. Beautiful place, mild sun (at least while we were there) and the best part is that parking in the beach gives you access to walking for miles down the strip of bars and restaurants that range from pizza, burgers, tacos all the way to hooters!

It is not a walking beach like some further north in Florida. But the sidewalk is a great option to experience the water and waves. The water tends to get deep quickly but there are sand bars to hang out on. There are lifeguards stationed on the beach so you can feel safe swimming.

Bathrooms, basketball courts, beach volleyball, and nearby shops and restaurants make this the go-to public access area of Fort Lauderdale beach.

We were able to relax after our morning run, very clean restrooms and plenty of parking, we did not drive but on our 6 mile run this was a great place to stop and refuel

I love it in Fort Lauderdale Beach. The place is so clean and well taken care of. My favorite beach in all Florida.

Probably the biggest beach in town, walkable from hotels and restaurants, a bit stretch of sun and fun. Great for families and for everyone.

A good clean area for playing with access to the beach for that dipping of the feet moment. We were able to enjoy a pleasant afternoon.

excellent beach ares with easy access to get to by car or walking from several hotels.Very clean sandy beaches.

Great beach and although it was crowded still better than being in South Beach in my opinion. Parking is a hassle at times, but get there early to avoid the traffic. The beach is worth it.

This is a nice beach and there is a relative large parking-spot close bye that was easy to access and not very expensive, it's worth a visit here.

Nice day out with my bf very beautiful place. Had a lot of fun nice views and met nice people highly recommend

I was there today with my kids and some other friends and i love the place.
Parking is next to the beach.
Plenty of benches with a grill so you can do a cookout.
Bathrooms are clean.
There is a playground for the kids.
Definitely i will come more often and I highly recommended to others.

We loved our week long vacation in Fort Lauderdale. We swam, walked, shopped and ate at a leisurely pace. The beach is well maintained and it was cool to see the turtle nests blocked off and protected. Many families and large groups about enjoying the sunny days.

This beach park was very clean and not too crowded in front of my hotel...I loved it and will be back

Great white sand. easy to rent chairs & umbrellas either on beach or close nearby. Great to walk over to the Boulevard & grab a beer & food & come back to the beach. Very clean.

Easy access to the beach. lots of things to do...basketball, exercise equipment, and volleyball! family friendly and beautiful scenery!

Very nice area especially for Tortuga, except for the traffic. Very congested area when the event was over. Next time I would stay walking distance to the event.

Loved it! Beautiful water and calm atmosphere! Was not crowded (visited on a Monday). Nice shaded sitting area near the water also.

Pretty crowded as expected during snow bird time. Restaurants and bars on the other side noisy as it has to be on a beach with young folks.

This beach is a really nice beach with clear water. Highly recommended for everyone! Can get a little crowded but there is enough space for everyone cuz it is so big

Generally a clean beach, except when Spring Breakers are in town and dump their trash on the sand, as is happening now. Still, this beach area is well maintained. Lifeguard stands. Basketball court. Restaurants across the street. Walkers and joggers on the sidewalk bordering the beach. Meter parking available.

Very beautiful, but surprisingly, the water isn't as blue as South Beach. Went on a beautiful and was able to get seashells.

Lots of picnic tables and shade, parking available. Lots of volley ball courts and eating spots nearby.

The water was very nice. Not to hot or cold just right. The was no rain just nice sandy beaches and fun people.

People watching or sun bathing or just walking the beach, its a great place to visit. Well kept and chairs available for rent. Good for families and watching ships come and go. Plenty of eating spots across the street.

This section of Fort Lauderdale Beach is a great place for various events such as Beach Wedding, Family Reunions, BBQs, or just a day at the beach. There are areas for volleyball, basketball, exercise course, jogging, walking, or just beach browsing.
There are BBQ pits, restrooms, water fountains, public parking, and even hookups for electric cars.

This is a long strip of public beach with hotels on either end. We expected it to be crowded. To our surprise it was not packed. We parked in the public lot (know your license plate number) and have small bills no change given $1.75 per hour. We found beach chairs and enjoyed the waves. A great way to spend a few hours. Down the beach near the street, there is a giant beach chair for a fun picture opportunity.

Beautiful beach with plenty of room for you to lay down a towel. There was only one good place for parking that wasn't $30+ and there were cute shops to get souvenirs and some decent reasonably priced food stops.
Thankfully it wasn't too busy, but the traffic can get pretty bad. Overall a decent beach with gorgeous water

Our friend was showing us all of the beach choices, and we were happy that this one is indeed a park. Lots of sand, lots of opportunity to splash in the surf, and we saw a lot of happy people taking advantage of the sun and fun.

Good place. Ruined by people sleeping on the street next to and inside this park. Cigarette butts everywhere.

Beach or reasonable depth to water, nice sand and life guard stands. Those not staying within walking distance will find parking a little difficult. Pay and display required and should be monitored or you will quickly find a nice slip of paper under your wiper blade.

Closed for the week end due to corona virus, Broward County's front porch is now open. It's an expansive shoreline. It stretches from Ft Lauderdale South Beach Park all the way to NE18th St. Parts of the beach have certain personality traits. Ft Lauderdale Beach Park (which I named this experience) is popular because of its many picnic tables and outdoor grills that draw lots of families. It also has a basketball court, playground, &volleyball nets. Me, its where I set and watch the World go by (people watching at its very best).

You can have a picnic in this area and even a barbeque. Have a parking lot just beside the park and showers.

We were staying at the hotel across the street and had an ocean facing room. I enjoyed watching all of the activity over there including pickup basketball and people working out on equipment....all while I drank beer. Lol.
We walked over an visited the park and it's a lovely place for everyone. Would be a great spot for a picnic. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main area of Fort Lauderdale beach which is only a short walk away.

Nice day at the beach, well working life saving crew, superclean beach,no dogs !No mess!Good parking nearby

Used the park and the walkway for a quick jog during a busniess trip. Sidewalks are wide and they have several equipment for working out

Ft. Lauderdale beach is clean and one of the nicest beaches I have visited. There is a wide expanse of beach to get to the water which could be difficult for some people, but it makes finding a spot east. There is also a lot of beach so if an event is going on in one location walk up or down the beach to find a less crowded area. The water here is clean and clear. There area lot of sea shells and bits of coral to pick. I have visited this beach at various times March for Spring break, late May/early June, and in August, and I have enjoyed the beach every time. Take a walk along the strip and go past Beach Place and look at the sea turtle information signs. Sea turtles nest on this beach and the nests are surrounded in caution tape to keep people from disturbing the nests. The lights are also turned off facing the beach so when the turtles hatch they are not confused by the lights and go into the ocean. Parking is available if you get there early. It is $1.75 an hour and you can park all day. Park and take the Sun Trolley if your hotel is not on the strip.
Lots of bars and restaurants. You can wear a swimsuit everywhere with just a cover up or you can dress up. Lots of night life along the strip.I keep coming back to this beach. It should not be missed.

This park is very nice for walking. Sidewalks are nice and wide and you can look at either the ocean or at the restaurants lining the other side of the street.

beautiful clean and the most comfortable beach, just love my beach days even my husband didn't complain

Me and my husband loved the beach!! It was fun and the beach was clean. The beach wasn't very crowded wich was nice. We went swimming in the ocean and loved it!!

This place is a very good place to park to access the beach. It gets very crowded on the weekends. It is one of the few places to park on the beach side of A1A. It is a beautiful location. There are swings and a play ground for the kids on the beach. Nice restrooms and plenty of showers to rinse off the salt and sand. It does get very crowded and it can be very hard to find a place to park. A1A is a beautiful drive, but a mess to turn into and out of this place. The price to park varies and changes with out notice.

Down on business, we had time to head over to the beach for a bit....loved how clean it was and through the week, it wasn't too packed.

Took a few morning walks. Nice scenic walkway by the beach. Watch out for the runners, bicyclists, and palm trees :-)

Glorious sands and scenery basked in sunshine. Clean, well ordered and well maintained. A delight to visit and walk the promenade

Went for a multi-mile walk on a breezy sunny day. Lots to see, enjoyed the variety of people you encounter. Definitely worth doing if the weather cooperates.

Beach directly across street from hotel. Very clean and well patrolled by the lifeguards. The beach area is owned by the City so the chairs and umbrellas there are for rent. Always be sure to negoatiate a deal.

I cant say enough about this beach. What a beautifully kept ocean front. Lots to do in the area. You can have a lot of fun at this beach.

Skip a visit here and instead drive north on A1A a bit more to find a nice, clean beach with plentiful umbrellas and chairs to rent. This “beach park” was filthy with bottle caps, banana peels, seaweed and trash littering the sand. We had to navigate past numerous homeless people and their belongings to get to the water.

We love to walk along Fort Lauderdale Beach down N. Atlantic Blvd. There are so many restaurants and shops to see. Of course the beach itself is beautiful. The only complaint we had is that we walked back at night, we didn't feel 100% safe. I would like to see more police presence and maybe more lights.

This is a beautiful boardwalk!!! Right next to the ocean!!! Bicycle rental is available here....should of done this!!! All I can say is 'this i picture perfect!!!'. Take a stroll and RELAX!!!

Between the walking path, in the sand or in the water, plenty of places to walk and the views to the ocean are wonderful. Watch out for the protected turtle egg nests.

we had a nice sunny day trip and walked the beach and enjoyed people watching and eating food.taking the bus and trolley that way there for you is a must

Great place to take your kids and relax with the family. Came here twice and loved walking the early morning or when the sun went down

Good Beach Park to walk along. Well maintained. Walk for miles but remember, you have to walk back too.

This is a very nice beach area with more activities than are found at the other Fort Lauderdale beaches. The basketball courtier one as well as good skateboard areas. The beach is quite clean and has plenty of room even on busy days.

Nice place to sit and relax and enjoy the water. Free Parking which is good the beach was clean as well. Not as nice as Destin but close.

A nice park by the beach, with picnic tables and outdoor gym equipment. Basketball courts and lots to see and do. lots of parking close. bring beach stuff for when you are done with the workout. follow beach rules. patrolled by some nice but strict Police.

Pros: There were sea turtle nests on the beach (protected by roping). It was cool to be able to see the actual nests they hatch out of. This beach has restrooms as well as water stations to wash off at afterwards.
Cons: Parking is pay-by-time in a lot that was already extremely packed with cars. Lots and lots of seaweed up on the shoreline made it not-so-fun to walk around barefoot. Very crowded.
Tips: Get there early in the day to get a parking space.

LOVE this area! Lots of easy, fun, friendly people watching. Well kept beautiful & convientient to everything.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Park is a vibrant place to walk, bike, swim or just take in the Florida sunshine. They have tables and benches to have picnics as well. Very clean and family friendly!

The beach is always clean with rentals available and lifeguards on duty. The only downside is that there are no restrooms.

Great place to walk, people watch or just go to the beach. We sat on a wall and watched the air show when the Blue Angels were in town. It was amazing.

We were there on a windy Sunday afternoon in the 70s. We're able to park there for $1.75 an hour. Shower and bathroom let us clean up afterwards. This area has shade and picnic tables which u imagine would be great on a warmer day.

Well maintained path that you can walk on for miles - clean. Only issue to watch out for now - lots of electric scooters that sometimes are up on the path.

spring breakers have to visit this location, near many hotels and in view of many vessels from port everglades. rentals available. plentiful but slow parking facility.

Nice park by the beach, very similar to the rest of the beaches in miami. Nice to walk, bike or run.

We had a nice afternoon walk along the park taking in all the sights. It was certainly busy on a Sunday. Monday was quieter..... don't miss it! YMMV

The site offers a great opportunity to visit and enjoy the magnificent environment of this nice beach. You can find all the basic services in one place while you relax.

We were on foot or bicycles while visiting Ft Lauderdale, so we couldn't haul around much beach gear. Therefore the public chairs and tables at the Beach Park were a welcome amenity. You can drag the sturdy chairs around to follow the shade and they are very comfortable. I would imagine on the weekends they are "dibs'd" early in the day, but during the week we always found a couple when we wanted them. There are also lots of picnic tables and a few grills.
We walked across the street to The Market and got our drinks and snacks. They aren't exactly cheap, but very convenient.
The Beach Park was our go-to the entire two weeks of our visit.

The Beach Park is a relaxing walk, clean, and has interesting things along the way like a huge beach chair, Welcome to Fort Lauderdale selfie sign, and post card sign.

There was plenty of parking. Parking is paid for at centrally locates pay machines. Add license plate numbers and pick amount of time you want to stay. It was 1.75/hour. The bathrooms are public and clean. There is a basketball court and some pull up bars, balance beam, lifeguards, picnic tables, grills, minimal shade. Water is not too deep for about the first 50 yards or 30 meters. Restaurants and shopping are across the street.

This was our second year visiting the Beach Park and this year was a little disappointing. The beach was dirtier (I know some of this is due to rude people not knowing how to throw away garbage), there were a lot of homeless people and at night it seemed a little sketchy at times. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the beach very much and it was still beautiful, it just seemed to go downhill a little from last year.

We came here on the 4th of July the place was clean and secure. Everything was very organized. Lots of people and great fireworks

There is not much here except the Saturday Farmer's market which is small but worth a visit. Stay away from the adjoining parking lots that charge $20 / hr. Instead, there is a large City lot a couple of blocks south at $4 / hr.

Although I love the sun and surf, my husband tires of all that sunshine. On this beach, there are trees providing shade and Adirondack chairs to relax in. He stayed cool in the shade while I lay on the beach. The beach is clean and beautiful.

I love Fort Lauderdale because you can walk along the street; however, the people and the crowds have changed over the years. I enjoyed jogging and walking along the strip every morning. The beach park strip is over 4 km long. Many homeless people are sitting on the cement walls asking for money; this is unpleasant

We strolled along the beach and found a great place to have some fish tacos, one of them was lobster! Yum! Mom got to put her feet in Atlantic Sand for the first time. We were here for her 70th birthday!

This is a great place with parking available, and plenty of restaurants and hotels close by. There are convenient access points and lifeguard stations all along this area. Also restrooms and beach showers are available.

We visited the park to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful! It was nice to see so many people out so early in the morning making the beach beautiful for the visitors.

We spent the Afternoon there. Great beach. The board walk was really nice to walk on. We had a free shuttle from our hotel.

Beach was beautiful but lot of homeless on the side. Dirty street…warning ! Don’t walk at night… especially seven eleven areas…

Oh what a time to be on the beach during spring break! Crazy busy with young people everywhere! The day we were there was on a Sunday and it was very busy with a very high police presence which was nice to see. Police were all over the place with bikes, horses, cars and on foot.
Beautiful beach to just wander down with all kinds of shops and dining options just across the street. Lots of fun!

Can't just go the beach here, its a commitment. Plan to pay at least $7.00 for a few hours, become a sardine on the beach. But oh how nice the sand is between your toes.

The park has everything, basketball court, volleyball, monkey bars, grills, barbecue, shower. etc. I did not spend a lot of time on the beach but the beach seemed nice and clean. What I noticed the most about it was the fact that there were a lot of families in this area. If you want it to be a couple type of environment this is not for you.

This Beach and surrounding area is "the" place to be in Ft.Lauderdale. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and of course that beautiful, popular, clean beach. Lot to see and do, so on a sunny day you can easily spend whole day here.

We tried out a few beaches during our time in Fort Lauderdale, and this beach was by far the best experience for us. The beach was clean, the water free of seaweed, and it was the favorite of both adults and kids.
We brought our own umbrella and chairs (didn't see any for rent). It was less crowded than Hollywood Beach, but also had less easily accessible/close shops and restaurants.

Great clean beach, with big waves! Near to hotel and public transport. All the space you need, not sitting near each other>

Wow, what a nice beach area. Lifeguards all around, you can rent chairs and there are very few homeless people, no one begging for money, and just a fun and nice place to hang out and enjoy the wind, sea and salt.

We enjoyed Fort Lauderdale and the beach. It is busy in the evening with the bars and restaurants on the opposite side of the road but it was pleasant at the same time.

Nice white beach to walk around, very dark at night so sea turtles can nest if needed. There is a basketball court, a work out area, and lots of sand.

We spent a late morning and early afternoon at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. We were able to get a spot in the convenient beach lot--$1.75 an hour and took our umbrellas, snacks, and water down to the nearby sandy beach. Luckily the water was warm and rock free (as well as seaweed free). After our time we left the beach washed our feet off with the nearby water fountain, used the clean guest bathrooms and called it a day. There are picnic tables, as well as charcoal grills available to use and these are located under the tall shade trees. A great idea for people who don't enjoy the sun. We did return another day, but in early afternoon, and found less parking available.

great for walking and sun bathing, lots of areas for all kind of sports, good parking space, very summery experience

the park was across the street from our hotel. It was always active and it was obvious people were having fun!

This is a great beach area, family orientated, great broad walk with lots of eateries and cafes, and entertainment. The beach itself is clean, water paroling clean and a nice temperature on a hot day. Come early of get a lift there are it tends to get crowded and parking is limited and a hassle. We were told boy deck chair but a towel on the beach was more than adequate.

Nice beach, clean, well maintained, not too busy. Ocean nice for swim.
I wish I was sitting there right now !

You can walk all along the sea front in Fort Lauderdale and its lovely,.. its hard to choose a good spot to sit as its all great and you can watch the world go by all day...this place is a great little park to spend some time in

Take your shoes off and enjoy a walk along the beach. Nice place for a swim on a hot day. Shopping and restaurants across the street.

My husband walked on beach and it was nice. Beach wasnot crowded and it was clean. There were shaded areas where you could sit.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, is a wonderful park to visit. It is very clean and safe. It has a fantastic path to walk or run on. There are many activities close by. And the people are always very friendly. Excellent place to bring friends and family.

A great place for sun and sea. Plenty of restaurants and shops across the A1A. Bring a friend and enjoy.

Lots of activities here with volleyball nets, charcoal grills and lots of picnic tables. Plenty of parking, too.

Visited this beach twice while in Fort Lauderdale. Parking is difficult to find on weekends if you don't get there early (definitely before noon). A bit crowded but nice beach with restaurants and bars across the street ... party beach of sorts.

This beach park is great to just sit and relax. They offer tables for a quick picnic and chairs to lounge by the beach,

Gorgeous!! Clean, lovely walking path along the beach. Highly recommend walking here then having your picture taken in the oversized wooden beach chair.

Fort Lauderdale is a great place to go to. Their beaches are fun filled with attractions or more quiet depending upon where you go. You can have it either way, busy or quiet whichever you want. This is an especially nice area to,stroll along the beach.

A well maintained beach. Lousy parking (not enough). Volley ball nets are many. Picnic tables many. Beach has life guards and is about 1/2 mile long.

Nice beach with a lot of parking, $2/hour. (Parking is posted as being closed soon, not sure what is being planned with the parking.) Basketball court and volleyball courts along with self pace gym bars to use is you are so inclined.

White sand, blue water, breath taking ocean view, gentle breezes, warm water, volleyball, people watching, life guards ample parking, across from Boardwalk. Restaraunts, shopping, rentals. A memorable active beach. Close to the activities and entertainment every evening as we enjoy the gentle breeze and clean sand.

We went for a long walk along the sandy beach. We didn’t go into the water but it looked inviting. We watched the huge ships out in the water, commercial and pleasure crafts. The pathways are wide enough for a small group of people. It’s fun to see folks on rental bikes and motorized scooters with handles to get around.

This is a very beautiful stretch of beach. Very safe with lifeguards present and warning flags present if needed. Very close to amenities. Parking is problematic especially during season. Nice sand and gentle waves.

the Internatrional Beach Volleyball tournement was being staged when I was there. OPn to the public and free. The city of Ft. L. really deserves a lot of credit for staging this annual evenT.

This portion of the beach is located south of Los Olas Blvd. it's a beautiful white sand beach that is a great place to enjoy the sun, sand and ocean. Bring a towel or chair to relax, and let the sun worshipping begin.

This is a beautiful area of the beach reminds me of the strand in Redondo Beach California it makes the beach so user-friendly to someone who just wants to walk along and see the sand and water

This park has restrooms, playing fields, exercise stations, playground. The actual public restrooms are few, so it’s good to know about this park... and its long hours of operation. Very clean.

The park itself is pretty gross. Parking is expensive. And the beach is nasty. Looks and smells like a river. Seaweed and dead fish everywhere.

If you haven't been to Fort Lauderdale maybe you should come an experience it. There are so many things to do. Fort Lauderdale has a nice long beach with great views. Beach is clean and the people are nice. There is a nice long walkway for those who like to walk or jog. There is also a long trail for bikes. The walkway is endless and fun because it has views of the hotel strip and the beautiful beach. You can rent chairs for a fee on the beach or bring your own chair and towel. There are many restaurants off the beach to choose from. It is difficult to find parking if you come too late but early birds will be happy.

FortLauderdale Beach is the best beaches on the east coast of fl. I live in Palm Beach but travel to ffl for a relaxing day at 15thst beach

Walking back to the hotel was a bliss. Busy with various people and families. Nice breezy walk as well as paddling. There are bbq set at certain areas also sport activities took place which are perfect to amuse kids

My husband and I went to the beach here today after scoping out several other spots. We both have limited mobility and very low energy, so we were pretty picky about where we wanted to set up our beach towels. We found a spot right by the bathrooms, just off the parking lot towards the south end of the park. It worked out great for us! We were close to the restrooms, which also had a drinking fountain and a wash station to get the sand off yourself. Parking is right there, although we didn’t use it since we took an Uber. The beach was clean and not at all crowded during the afternoon on a weekday in February. There are also tons of picnic tables, some in the shade. Having all these amenities in one location was wonderful.
The only way this area could be improved for people with disabilities is to have beach wheelchair, lounge chair, and umbrella rentals accessible in this location. I’ve heard that beach wheelchairs are available a little further north at the Sebastian St. beach, but I couldn’t find restrooms there that were easily accessible. But if you’re able to walk on the sand by yourself, this is an ideal location to enjoy the sun and sand!

We really enjoyed the Air Show that took place over the beach. We were staying in Fort Lauderdale before a cruise and didn't realize the air show was scheduled. This was a pleasant added bonus to our stay.

Pretty stretch along the beach to walk, hang out, work out, or do whatever you want to do to relax and enjoy the sun. We stumbled across this as we were checking out the beach and were really impressed!

The location is easy to get to. There was plenty of parking. Although we did not go in the water it was a pleasant beach to walk.

Just a beautiful boardwalk. We walked after dinner, so the sun was still up, and not a lot of people on the beach. There was a lovely breeze. The only thing is watch out for bikers as some are peddling rather fast on the boardwalk.

We were only here for a little while but I enjoyed walking in the sand, collecting small shell and just the relaxing atmosphere of the water. Loved going across the street to the shops.

We went by while in Ft Lauderdale. It is a beautiful park by the ocean. There were many people there jogging and bike riding. This is a great place for people watching.

I was here in May 2018. This year I came in July and at the beginning of my stay there was a lot of seaweed. It is something I have never seen in Florida since I have been coming here. The seaweed was thick and smelled really bad; I didn’t go to the beach for the first three days of my vacation. The fourth day of my vacation all the seaweed was gone, the beach was clear and there was no more smell. The Beach Park has city bikes to rent for a fee, basketball courts, swings for all ages, and bench parks. The Park is on the Ocean Front and is open until 2am. It is a very nice place to come during the day or night.

This is the perfect place to take your family. There are picnic tables and chairs in the shade, bathrooms, showers, and there is a market across the street in case you forgot anything or want ice cream ;). I loved this area it wasn't crowded, perfect day at the beach.

This park is just so convenient. You need to get there real early if you want a parking spot and want to use the built in grills available at the park. It's a nice walk, with a basketball court, workout area, picnic tables, and convenient to bars and restaurants. We post about it all the time on our IG @iloveFOLA

This beach has a bit coarser sand than some beaches, but there is a playground, plenty of shaded picnic tables, clean restroom and beach showers. Parking is only $1.75 per hour, whereas Hollywood beach was $4 per hour! It is within walking distance of restaurants where you can eat in beach attire and a deli is just across the street from the park.

Beautiful beachs and good food. We went to joe joes toco’s and I have to say it was the best toco I ever had. And that’s hard to say coming from Atlanta. Service was good as well as the food and environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

The Park is very large and has a workout area and nice basket ball courts. There are picnic benches around. Or if you came to simply sit by the ocean and relax that's good too. They keep the park clean and well kept. They also have a very nice restroom which is also keep up. Lots of parking but can fill up at peak times. You can grab a bike from the rack and ride the area if you want to see the sites.

Very clean area. Paid public parking. Picnic tables on the beach. Good place to spend the day. Walking distance to shops and places to eat.

Fort Lauderdale beach is one of my all time favorites. It's beautiful and usually well kept. This time around we encountered LOTS of seaweed washed up on the beach and in the ocean as well. Not sure if this is a seasonal thing but it's the first time I've noticed such an abundance of it.

The beach was long and clean with many loungers and chairs to rent. ( EXPENSIVE, take your own or sit on towel under the trees) The boardwalk was nice to walk along, watching the interaction of people, and you could stop and sit on the wall occasionally. There were many cafes to enjoy a cold drink, and the beach trolley passes up and down all day for a small fee.

This beach has a lot of history like the good old days of spring break. It's been redone and looks marvelous. take a stroll spend the day bring the kids. go early for parking. There a lot of rules at this beach to keep you safe and law enforcement does not hesitate to let you know that. It's still fun. Good places to eat on the west side of the street. It's south beach without the plastic fakers. Bring sunscreen.

We have always enjoy the walk along the Ft Lauderdale Beach on A1A. We have always chosen to stay at Bahia Mar, because of the walkway from the hotel to the beach. Parking is a bit hard to find on a beautiful day. The walk along the beach is wonderful !! The kids have enjoy the few kids places the park provides. Nice for a picnic as well. I love a nice cool dip of my toes in the water.

I am from the Jersey shore, maybe my expectations are too high. But for a beach as famous as this one, seems that there is little concern to make it user friendly. I am used to seeing a pristine beach at least in the morning. this beach was covered with not only fresh drying mounds, but the surf was saturated, hard time fighting past the vegetation to get in the water. Saw a racking tractor drive by without engaging the equipment.

We wanted to see something else than the crowded Miami beach. Very clean and nice beach. Not crowded. Lifeguards on duty, felt very safe!

We were there for a week. It was difficult to find parking at the site itself and we tried on several occasions.

The south end of the beach parking was totally closed off and it made for a challenge to find parking. It is an excellent, clean beach with predominately family based visitors.

Public beach access to the ocean in Ft. Lauderdale. Decent parking available and bath and shower facilities available.

Once you settle the issue of parking - this is an awesome beach. Sand is clean, streets are clean, stores along A!A offer anything you could possible want or need.

After having lived here over 7 years, we still love this park. A spot you should not miss when visiting Fort Lauderdale or Fouth Florida.

While vacationing my wife and I enjoyed strolling through and relaxing in the Beach Park area. We were there visiting daily for one week until our Carnival Cruise.

The beach is safe with lifeguards on duty. Flags posted regarding safety of the water each day, Volleyball nets up, surfing, wind sailing, boating, and major cruise lines coming and going. Always interesting to watch with all the possible activities. Water temp even in December is in the 70s.

The seaweed onshore and at the water's edge was massive. Don't know why they didn't come through to pick it up on a Sunday being the busiest day of the week. A few people waded through thick seaweed in the water to go out past it a few feet deep where it was still pretty thick. Water was warm. Overall experience...ick.

Fort Lauderdale has done it right with this stretch of beach. Good parking (not free however) and a great mixture of green space and walkways. Handicapped accessable and a spotless bath house. The playground is current safe and in a well chosen location. Beautiful views of the water with picnic tables. Well done Lauderdale!

This was my first time at this park. I was here for a company bar-b-que. There are grills for cooking and the park is located a short walk from the beach. This is a nice area, the beach is wonderful. There is an $8.00 charge for all day parking and a $6.00 charge after 2pm.

The view was refreshing and relaxing. enjoyed putting my feet in the water and watching people enjoy the park

It is such a beautiful beach! You can play games, do a picnic, take photos, walk or run along it or just stay on a bench and enjoy the breeze from the ocean! It has parking with acceptable rate ( 1.75. $ per hour )

Once upon a time you could park all along the beach. Now your options are limited to a few spots on side streets, a parking garage a couple of blocks away, and this beach park which charges $4 an hour. Unlike the gulf coast with its beautiful white sand beaches and free parking, there is no free beach parking in Broward.
This park is located on the ocean just south of the Bahai Mar Resort. There are a ton a parking spots but the city shuts the park down when they hold concerts on the beach like the Audacity Music Festival coming up.
Park amenities include a non motorized boat ramp, restrooms, pedestrian bridge to cross A1A, grills, picnic tables, basketball courts, outdoor fitness court, and sand volleyball court. Historically speaking this park was where the Seminoles would haul over their canoes from the intracoastal into the ocean. It was also the site of the third fort Lauderdale built by major Lauderdale during the Second Seminole War.
The view and access to the beach and ocean can't be beat but the park is really long with only one entrance and exit at the end. You could be stuck in traffic a long time just getting to the park and you get let out into another one way jam when leaving. When it gets crowded and you finally make it into the park, it can be a real cluster plus there is always construction equipment in here taking up spaces. There are so many parking spaces but the lot gets filled on the weekend. This is the only beach parking left and I think the city should add more entrance and exists to make the lot more user friendly.

Beautiful beach.. Extremely crowded due to I was attending the Tortuga Music festival, but this was a beautiful place and would love to visit again on a less busy time! (The festival was great too though!)

This was a nice walking place full of the sights! I would not recommend this for night walking, but daytime was fine.

Absolutely amazing. It was so many people out that weekend. It seemed to have an event going on. It was so many people though. It was beautiful. It was very windy and Lewis not forget the pollen. We have already decided to set another trip to go back. We loved every minute of it trip. We'll be back.

There is plenty of place to either just settle down on the cool sand or play beach ball or go wind surfing. We had a great time here

My wife and I stayed at a local hotel and walked the Beach Park every morning and night. The beach is beautiful and the sunrise is spectacular !

Nice beach venue. Not too overly crowded. Enjoyed our visit . Had a nice evening stroll along the beach walk

We had a wonderful experience; beautiful beach---not crowded. Perfect weather. I always go here when I'm visiting the area & it is never a disappointment.

I was impressed on how clean it is. There are Incredible views as well. I already can not wait to go back.

Went for a relaxing weekend and could not have ask for a nicer beach to be on. The sand is clean and the water was beautiful.

We were I. ft Lauderdale for a few days and went to the Beach PRk one afternoon. We walked parts of the paved paths and had a good time. All of the beach areas looked large, clean and uncrowded. There were lifeguards on duty. It was just a nice place to visit while in town.

So many things to do!!!!!!! We gave ourselves three hours and discovered that we truly could have spent the entire day.

Excellent beach with very easy access. Clean. Good selection of food places like small cafes to restaurants.

If there's a beach in South Florida you should visit its Fort Lauderdale Beach on Las Olas Boulevard. This beach is far better than over rated South Beach and with restaurants right across the street, who can go wrong. Additionally, the beach is clean, not overly crowded and there are trees for some shade from the heat. The water can be rough at times and with the intrusion of seaweed in the Caribbean and South Florida, this beach is not exempt.

Stayed at a beachfront hotel and visited the beach twice during my stay. It was clean and there were plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Lifeguards were super attentive. Only thing that bothered me were the tractors driving by on the sand around 11am each day just a few feet from shore - very odd to disrupt beach goers and especially dangerous for playing children.

We just fell in love with this beach immediately. Nice, clean, rescue towers were like perls on a string. The water was amazing, clean, warm, with waves and I dream to come back.

Our resort was close to this beach, so we walked allmost every morning. Lots of traffic on A1A. There are chairs and umbrellas to rent. Wasn't very busy, so plenty available. (Nov 2019)

great place to spend the day, make sure to bring sunscreen and a towel, lots of activities to do here

Large parking lot did not fill up on the weekend I was there. It is then a short walk to the water. There are showers to rinse off as you return to your car. Pay by the hour in advance.

Recently spent some time there before and after a cruise. The city of FLL have done a wonderful job of creating a fun beach walk, full of shops, restaurants and of course their great beach and surf!
The beach walk was full of people, from teenagers, families, seniors, bikers, etc. yet didn't feel over crowded, with their wide walking paths. I would gladly make a return visit to take it all in.

We stopped here on the last day after a Caribbean Cruise. We liked the soft (though hot!) sand and the fact that our 6-yr old could stand up pretty far out in the sand bar. I’d prefer to be closer to shops/food options, so maybe up to Ft. Lauderdale Beach next time.

It's very busy in Fort Lauderdale during the winter season. Tourists, from all over the world visit southern Florida. Fort Lauderdale Beach is a magnificent place. Walking the beach or on the sidewalks that parallel the beach is a pleasure. I've always felt safe and have really enjoyed this area at any time of the day. It's a crowded area, particularly on weekends, but I observed very little litter and garbage. This is a fun place to visit.

Although I've lived in South Florida for decades I hadn't been to this part of the beach in a very long time. We came here on a whim several weeks ago and were delighted to find deck chairs that were free to use that we pulled under the shade of palm trees. The water is that gorgeous blue, the sand clean and a market right across the street for easy access to snacks. Parking is affordable (write down your license plate) and you can pay by cash or credit/debit card. Bring towels and sunblock for a great afternoon or morning swim. If you come on the weekends, plan to come early or bring your own chairs.

Took an über to the beach park.Great beach and walking path.Wonderful restaurants and coffee shop, Great day out, while waiting for a cruise.

Best beach in all of Broward County and even better than what Miami has to offer. Nightlife is a great experience.

we went at night. It was safe, clean, next to the boardwalk. There were playhouses and obstacles for the kids. It was wonderful. There were restrooms and places for the kids to put their shoes along with ample spaces for people to chain up there bikes.

Fantastic Beaches with amazing sand. The city maintains the beach and keeps them super clean. Awesome lounges and umbrellas for rent.

Really enjoyed our time at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. I think we may have walked the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Lots of places to stop and enjoy the view of the ocean.

We head over to to the beach everytime we're in town the day before our cruise leaves! it's a beautiful beach to just hang out at for the day or get something to eat across the street at one of the restaurants. There was also 2 weddings going on on the beach the day we were there!

Our weekend visit was jammed packed with plenty of activities at the beach. I would definetly return.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Park is really dream place. It reminds me funny film Baywatch. The beach is very clean. TheyThe water is crystal. Try to find Tsakuro restaurant and order Giant Margarita.

Even though there is a large parking area adjacent to the park, they do not allow the parking lot to fill. Why not? Who knows, but there is parking in some decks at the Marriott and other parking a block away.
The sand is coarse, which may be replacement sand with a fairly steep slope to the water. This November warnings were in place, warnings for jellyfish, not many people taking advantage of the cool water. They do have concerts here during certain times of the year, with several restaurants situated along the front of the resorts. We had a good experience at The Casablanca

While visiting with my husband we watched the beach activity from the balcony of our resort, walked along the beach and ate at a beautiful outdoor restaurants. We loved the close proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants. There were bike taxis, busses and cars. Loved the weather and access with so much to do. Watched cruise ships come and go, para sailors and even the lifeguards were very visible. If you love to walk the beach and people watch, this is the place for you. Bring your beach towel or beach chair if your hotel doesn't provide them for you and relax! This beach is very well groomed and the lights were dimmed due to sea turtles coming up to lay their eggs. It was nothing less then AWESOME!

nice & clean beach park, with lots of coconut tree. Quiet beach, a perfect place for family. having many seaside bar and restaurant nearby. Recommended place for visitors.

Sweet area.. sand is hot water is warm life was good. Bring your own beach chair unless your hotel supplies them for you. Plenty of places to eat if you get hungry.. drinks are $16 on average so bring your own cooler.

White sand, beautiful water.Picnic tables available to eat at and the beach was spotleds!
Water was a little cold and choppy when we were there.Clean, clean, very clean beach

The brick paved walkway is wide, spacious, quite long and a great place to stroll to get some sun and look at the ocean. It's beside a parking area so no street speed traffic. There is a sea wall you can sit on but watch out for the ants. The area is kept relatively clean and is used by bicyclists, runners, walkers, beach goers and anybody that likes being outside.

Nice walks, B-Ball courts, work-out area and right on the beach. And you cannot beat the scenery. Really good place to waste a few hours or a day.

Absolutely loved the shops, warm sea water, ice-cream on board walk, clubs, people and hanging out here

My family had a great time on the beach and it was very close to our hotel. This is a great place to take kids with you. Lots of parking that was convenient and NOT expensive.

I love this beach park I always pass by it and go to it it's really cool check it out if your in Florida.

It's a beautiful place. For someone that like to enjoy the sun and get her daughter as tired as possible this place is perfect.

We went when the Tortuga Music Festival was being hosted at the park so we didn’t get the full beach experience. The layout is nice and the park is well kept. Excellent location that is walking distance to many dining and shopping options.

Relaxing spot right on the beach with trees to get in out of the heat. Some other activities and restrooms as well. Not a huge area, but seemed pretty busy as they were getting ready for the airshow when I was there. Not a must see, but you can't miss it if you're walking the beach south of Las Olas Blvd.

We just took a wander, but what a view, and what a place! We saw seven ocean freighters at a glance, all anchored off-shore, swimmers, boaters, sail-kiters (is that what I mean? I hope you understand) and all sorts of beach activity. There are lifeguards regularly spaced along the beach. Well maintained - clean, supervised, and warm, beautiful water!

As I told one of the best beach of Fort Lauderdale. BBQ, wood tables, showers, parking, car charger basketball rink.
Do not miss it.

Beautiful beaches, great town! If your a runner, its a great place to enjoy a morning run. Clean and safe!

Nice beach. Had an enormous amount of seaweed in the water it was so much. I just got out and started tanning

The weather was too chilly for us to really enjoy the beach, but we strolled along the sidewalk adjacent, and also stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott with windows facing the beach. It is a wide, flat beach, perfect for walking, jogging, volleyball, and building sand castles. There are life guard stations, and the occasional police at certain entrances. Across the street are plenty of restaurants for refreshments. The beach offers a lovely view.

I love this walkway as its wide enough people don't bump into each other and its smooth and safe for walking or jogging. I was walking this week after a torrential rain storm had passed and the walkway quickly dried out and wasn't slippery at all
You simply cant beat the photo ops for Sunrise or Sunset pictures, the view is stunning
At night the wall is illuminated with a continuous strip of lighting that changes color, its mesmerizing to watch
They have done a fabulous job with this beach park and is not to be missed when you are visiting. My favorite time to walk is early in the morning or at sunset

We usually stay oceanfront at the Courtyard Marriott when we are on vaca from Naples. We love walking along the concrete walkway to take in the sights and sounds (music around sunset) past sunset with our young family. There was heavy seaweed there 2 weeks ago which kept us more poolside but this is unusual so we are being told.

The winding beachside footway/cycle track gives a great opportunity to exercise whether you are on foot, roller blades or bicycle. Of course, you can just marvel at the ocean vista and cross over the road and have a meal/drink. Or, do both!

This is not a "park" so to speak, it's just part of the public beach. So to recap, the beach is pretty wide (from the wall to the water) so there is plenty of room. On good days the ocean and sun are there for people to enjoy and most days are good days. Across the street are retail stores and many restaurants and bars. The bad news is parking and traffic.

Great beach. Crappy expensive parking. Get there early or be prepared to get dizzy driving around in circles looking park

Fort Lauderdale is one of our favorite beaches in Florida for swimming and relaxing. The water is beautiful and pristine and the grounds are well-maintained. We enjoy the convenience of picnic tables, shady areas, and restrooms. It was steps away from our hotel and restaurants.

The beach was nice an clean and calm. There were umbrellas and chairs for rental ($50) Nice picnic area with barbq grill too.

We parked our car here before we could check in to our condo and on our way back to airport. Safe area with bags in car and we could hang on beach for no fee and have lunch in one of the many nearby restaurants. Very open, clean.

Great place to relax and take a load off. Many things to do. Family friendly. Great place to sit and people watch.

Very clean and lively scene. Nearby restaurants provide a nice place to cool down and grab a bite mid-day.

There is plenty to see and do at this beautiful beachfront park with beach activites and numerous bars and restaurants all along the road adjacent to the park. There was always plenty to watch and enjoy

A day trip to Ft Lauderdale Beach with the ladies , enjoyed the beach , laying out in the sun, rented chairs & umbrella , peaceful , lots of sun , plenty of fun with your girlfriends ,

My wife and I were staying at the Westin which is just down the street from this beach area. We walked down to the park area a couple of times. The sidewalk leading to the park is good. The park area has several nice amenities...basketball courts, fitness area, restrooms, etc. the beach itself is just ok. It is fairly wide, which is good. However, as you get closer to the water, the sand is hard and chopped up. There was seaweed along the water and some spots where they tried to remove the seaweed with a tractor. When you walk in the water, it drops off quickly. There is no gradual slope as you wade out.
I think the beach’s on the west side of the state are much better.

I did enjoy this beach but I do believe it’s not my favorite. There are lots of beautiful palm trees and the area was clean when I visited with my son and grandchild. Parking was a slight challenge.

Nice clean beach with nearby parking. Boardwalk was nice to walk along. Cute area we almost drove by. Glad we took the time to check it out.

I like the way the beachfront is maintained: clean, friendly to walk, safe with lifeguard houses. I enjoyed the visit.

Nice place to walk and enjoy the scene or just sun bathe .. Food and drinks are across the street. There's a B-ball court and small work out area. Lots of beautiful people!

the beach is really clean, lots of open space. lots of pick tables on one end. big play area for kids.

hotel staff a B ocean front hotel were amazing>>>> Big shout out to Sergio for making my trip unforgettable

Live. Love. Laugh. Fort Lauderdale is the ultimate lifestyle. You can be here and experience food from anywhere in the world. Here is ultimately Mecca. A cultural clash of titans. Food. Life. Love. An ethnocentric experience that is unmatched. Love this town.

This is a clean, wide beach with no seaweed and very few shells. You can walk for a long way, but it can be heavy going, as the sand by the water's edge is not firm. Prices are quite high -$12 for a lounge chair and $20 for an umbrella at stands near the parking lot. The prices are for the day, but be aware that they close several hours before dark, so if you want to make the most of your money, arrive early. There are barbecue grills and tables and basketball courts available. The public parking lots adjacent to the beach fill up quickly, so it is good to arrive early.

My husband and I attended a friends wedding on the beach next to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park December 2014 . My husband and I walked along this beach park and thought wow what a pretty place to have a wedding. The weather was a little windy, but the park and beach was pretty. We would love to bring our kids here to visit as it's family friendly.

A shallow beach located across the beac road with many bars and restuarants. Whilst we were there we spoke to a group representing Turtle conservation who were protecting several Turtle breeding area buried beneath the sand.

Pretty Beach, but parking was horrible. We got a $25 ticket because we didn't see a sign that was hidden by a truck. We even asked the attendant if it was OK to park there and he said sure. Boy, we were so mad when we saw the ticket. I think it was a scam.

A clean, cleared walkway to take a leisurly stroll. The sandy beach is between the ocean waves and the paved path. The beach is clean.

it's a breathtaking place with a beautiful view and the tall palm trees with the wind blowing its a fab place to stroll or walk or run or even drive by....the colors of the sea and the sky can see a lot of changes and its breathtaking .

Beautiful beach. Thanks to Irma we got some nice shells and beach glass. Water was warm. Great beach :)

Great boardwalk with lots of entertainment including restaurants and shops. Nice clean beaches with set up to rinse off and shower.

The beaches along Florida's A1A highway are beautiful. They are kept very clean and there is plenty of entertainment.

If you into beaches then you will love this. Long sandy beaches just seconds away from bars and entertainment, life guards etc just brill!

Myself and my wife went to visit this park this past weekend and enjoyed the time that we spent there. Parking fees were very reasonable, had bikes to ride as well as skooters to rent. Basketball court, picnic tables and many other ameneties to keep your family busy all day other than the beach itself. Would definitely go back again.

What to say. Gorgeous , spacious and clean beach located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The beach is close to most major hotels and restaurants. A big sandy area to set up camp, and you will have no problem finding a space to settle in. I think you can rent out a beach chair and/or an umbrella, but it's totally unnecessary. I suggest bringing your own gear and save your money. You can easily spend many hours here soaking up the rays.😌🌞🌴

great beach, clean, easy access.right across the street and hotel staff will carry chairs and umbrella for you

Granted, it was 4th of July week, but it was very crowded. You could barely walk on it. The beach look to be eroded and covered in seaweed. It is easy to get to, and there is plenty of parking.

I took a long walk up the beach and found the Beach Park. I was traveling solo so I did not stay long, but it was clean, not overcrowded. There were a mix ages. Everyone seemed to have fun.

After moving here in December I immediately fell in love with this endless stretch of beach! The beach is very well maintained everyday trash removal, beach cleaning etc. I love it because i can run forever and not have to worry about any traffic. I also walk my dog there as much as I can as well. There are lifeguards present from dawn to dusk and the sand is so soft and endless, the palm trees alone get you in the beach mood. Must see while visiting!

good mix of people, old people young people kids couples etc. had a great time here with my girlfriend, walked up and down, great food, met some cool people also, prefer this to miami.

Very well done beach front park. Wonderful place for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the ocean and the beach and the sand.

Although the beach area is generally beautiful, rejuvenating and relaxing...
we unknowingly visited during a weekend when there was a "Tortuga Western Music Festival" happening. This meant multiple thousands of people crowding into the area to see and hear their favourite stars... but it also meant horrific traffic jams, long waits for restaurants and other amenities, and crowded hotels.
We would check any city for big festivals on a future trip!

What more could you ask for. This beach has everything you need to enjoy a great day at the beach. Beach is clean and the water good for swimming. Lots of picnic tables to enjoy lunch. Can't go wrong here.

I prefer this beach than Miami Beach.
Is very nice and calm not so crowded. I went there with my friends and just relaxed.

Worth the visit!!! Located in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, there are many attractions, cigar shops, bars, restaurants, etc... nearby.

Very clean and lively scene. Nearby restaurants provide a nice place to cool down and grab a bite mid-day, have cocktails or a seating dinner.
I took my family visiting from Texas in July 2016 on a Tuesday around noon and I was surprised with the amount of drunk people/bums asking for money or drinks, in the parking lot and right before entering the sandy part of the beach. I have been going to that place many years and never seen so many bums walking around so close. Those moments were not pleasant, there were kind of scary.
Maybe there should be more police guarding visitors in case somebody gets too intense.

Beautiful Beach!!!! Would strongly recommend for a visit. Had my 20th anniversary vow renewal here-absolute perfect setting. We also spent time one the beach earlier in the week-also a great experience!

Just at the beginning of the terrific Ft. Lauderdale beach you'll find this park with plenty of picnic tables for guests. Many trees around can provide free shade. There's a praking lot in vicinity and a basketball court on spot.
Very nice place to spend few hours relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends.

Beach was decently clean. However, they had several groups of knucklehead teens roaming about that did not lend itself to a family type of atmosphere. Got to hear several choice bits of profanity and looks that made you feel less than safe. They should really step up patrols. If it wasn't for that part an easy 5 stars.

We enjoyed running and walking with our kids along the beach during our spring break vacation. It was clean and just gorgeous.

Long beach area with big parking lot and plenty of parking when we went, only $1.75/hour, meters take cash or credit, had many volleyball nets for use and a playground. Also plenty of picnic tables scattered throughout near the parking lot, feet washing stations and restrooms near the playground. There are lifeguards stationed along the beach. We only give it a 4 because there was tons of seaweed in the water and on the beach when we went and not much of a shore to make sandcastles on, probably because it was high tide, but would go back because of the easy parking and other amenities for kids

Beautiful beach. Easily accessible and close to everything. Parking can be scarce so plan a head. My wife and I drove along the coast and enjoyed taking pictures. There are some very nice restaurants along some of this drive as well.

Great beach.Lovely to walk and the ocean is wonderful for swimming on a calm day. There are places to shop and restaurants too....really fun.

Very nice, very busy. Beautiful water, clean beach. Traffic heavy. Good restaurants and shops along the strip of the beach across the street. I would go again.

A lovely place, but a music festival had taken place over the weekend & the beach & Park opposite the hotel were unusable. We were not told about this when we booked!! We had to use the beach about half mile away.

Spent the day with family on the beach during our visit to the area. The beach was clean, and uncrowded on a weekday in April. Ample pay parking on the street, with the water just steps away. They had shower areas spaced out along the beach area so that you can wash the sand off before you get in the car. I did not see any beach vendors where we were at, but there might have been some in other areas. We brought our own chairs, umbrella, and beverages.

The beach was clean no odour in the water and not over crowded, we visited on our last day here, will certainly go back.

Nice, clean beach, but be prepared to pay a lot to park. Soft white sand, water is warm and beautifully clear.

Despite being at this beach during high season, the beach was clean and quiet, a much different vibe than the Miami Beach scene.

Stayed across the beach for 7 days and it was awesome. Not crowded. Great views. Able to walk the beach everyday. A lot of life guard stations.

Beach was nice ... clean ... we didn't hang out long because we didn't have a towel to sit on and the chairs are pay only. Plenty of parking. Shopping and Restaurants all in walking distance. (Visit Aug 2018)

It's the beach! It's beautiful, peaceful and CLEAN!! I could spend hours/day/months on the beach! JUST GO!!! you won't be disappointed.

we plan to go to the beach late afternoon but they had beach volleyball tournament which left the area crowded. hope next year will be more quiet

This beach park is within walking distance of Las Olas and has both a quiet and a more busy side. As you walk northward you reach the intersection with Las Olas Blvd with it's collection of sea facing bars and and eclectic crowd.
The park itself has got an open air workout area, BBQ pits, basketball courts and open showers. Theres also a bunch of cordoned off sea turtle nesting sites so watch out for them. It's a good, safe beach to spend some quality time in the sun.

Each time we are in Fort Lauderdale we spend an afternoon/evening there. The shops are wonderful showing a variety of items to purchase from high dollar purses to paintings, etc. A visit to Kilwins Ice Cream is a must along with lunch or an espresso will complete your time at Las Olas.

Nice park and nice Beach. Beach Guards and lot of space. The water is so perfect. Lot of waverunners too. A Safe beach.

Funt to bike this area looking for the perfect cappuccino or pizza slice. Safe and broad wth multiple traffic crossings.

Get you a workout in on the beach with the city set up. Push up and pull up bars, agility etc etc for you to do. On the beach, close to restaurants for breakfast when you are done!

A really great beach if your're not into surfing. This beach has almost everything. Volley ball, exercise stations, basketball courts, picnic tables, paved parking, bathrooms, jungle gym for the kids, tons and tons of mostly clean sand, and ocean of water, almost every kind of person you can imagine, almost every kind of outfit you can imagine (really, women in 6" heels), and less than 50 from the sand, dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops (bikinis for $9.99). I didn't see anyone fishing and don't know if it's allowed.

Ft Lauderdale Beach Park is well maintained, has metered parking, life guards, facilities. There is a beautiful beach and the Atlantic ocean. Lots of hotels, restaurants across the street.

Take a look at the photos of this area after Hurricane Irma. We have walked along the beaches from Pompano to Ft Lauderdale and along A1A. Many of the buildings are being renovated but most stores and restaurants are now open. Amazing. The beaches look great and the weather is fine. Recovery is underway and local businesses will appreciate your visit

We love to people watch, so this area of Ft. Lauderdale was awesome. It does get a bit old watching 20 something kids run around drunk, stupid and mostly naked

best thing about this beach is how close you are to nice eating and great Margaritas, variaty of food is great, you can go from Mexican to Japanise in 2 steps. Great to go on the sidewalk for a ride on your bike or jogging.

Along the sea front with miles of well maintained beaches, cafes and restaurants. Ft. Lauderdale has it all. Plus the Sun , Sea and Sand.

This is a great place to spend the day! You can park, spend the day at the beach and grab something to eat if you brought a change of clothes. The facilities are not as clean as I would like but it is the beach.... Close to a wide variety of shops and places to eat.

This isn’t the place you want to come with families. Very sad what it’s become. Constant loud tricked our cars cruising by, music blaring, the smell of weed emanating from so many cars (which means they are driving impaired), and as evening draws near a bunch of trashy party goers hanging out trying to “be seen”. If you are into people watching and an occasional freak show then you are in the right place. If you are with kids you are just escaping to your hotel. Such a beautiful place that has been swallowed up by over commercialization.

We were staying at the Conrad and loved taking a walk on the sidewalk along the beach. We have seen so many changes since we moved from here in 2000. New hotels and restaurants, but the beach will never change. Always beautiful to gaze at the ocean and palm trees.

My wife and I come here after cruising. This place is as beautiful and relaxing as any of the tropical islands. The local people here are very friendly and accommodating.

We loved driving and walking along the seashore at night. This beach is very clean and well designed. It is massive!

The beach area and the park continue to retain their laid back vibe over the years. This is a stark contrast to the madness in South Beach. If you are looking for a laid back beach area with no pretenses, then this is your place.

Ok so this is a really biased review because the entire weekend was the Tortuga Festival. Three days of awesome country music. My only complaint was the price of everything at the festival but that was not the Park's doing it was the organizers. Had a blast! Thank you!!!

The walkway along the beach is clean, safe and well-maintained. Every several yards is a beach access with only one step down to the sand. At these locations are showers and feet rinse stations. Life guards are on duty until approx. 6 pm

Nice long clean beach. Elevated lifeguard stands. You can rent chairs for the day. Restaurants line the opposite die of the street. On weekends, lots of weddings.

Such a wonderful place to go to. So many friendly people and lots of sunshine and activities to do there. Never a dull moment

The beach was very nice and close to entertainment and restaurants. Beach chairs were limited and you have to pay to rent them. But overall a very nice day at the beach.

Great improvement
Excellent exercise area
Reasonably clean among Covid protocols
Great place to go for a weekend
Very busy better to rent or bring a bike

This is the buffer area between the sandy beach and the busy road. Easily accessible and very pleasant to walk. Ocean breeze decreases the impact of heat and humidity on a hot and humid day.

It is the second time I have been there and want to spend more time the next time I am in town.Just a vibrant place with lots of restaurants to pick from.

So beautiful and very quiet on a week day morning! Beach was pretty clean, water was mostly clear. Got deeper fast, to about 3 feet but then stayed that way for a while! Sandy bottom, not rocky.

Loved this beach. Water was warm when we went down in Feb 2017. Loved the sand and the walk down the strip was awesome!

We were fortunate in that we were able to spend a whole day on the beach before the weather changed. The facilities are good, parking nearby is inexpensive, the toilets clean and a sun lounger rental service available. We found some parts more exposed than others so its worth investigating.

Wow! What a lovely beach. It is perfection! Beautiful sand, welcoming water, great access and infrastructure!
No wonder it's a tourist attraction!

We visited this beach on our summer vacation. We were not here long because it was raining, but kids got to swim. Water was warm, and water was pretty flat. The area seemed to be really nice. Parking was fairly cheap, it was 1.75 an hour. We saw a Sting Ray, and several fish swimming offshore. The only downside was one of the kids was stung by a Jelly Fish, so be careful.

A nice picnic, BBQ area, with children's play area, beach gym and basketball courts with plenty of parking.

What a great find. This beach was not crowded at all. Only 10! People in about 300 feet of ocean. The water was so blue and the perfect temp. There are restrooms that are big enough to change in. The parking is by meter make sure you know your license plate number and pay $1.75 an hour by cash (no change given) or credit card. There is a very nice playground and a picnic area in the shade with grills.we were lucky enough to find 2 adridondack chairs to use, free both times we went. To be careful bring your own, towels, and lots of sunscreen.
This is a fantastic beach. We will be back.

Title says it all, the sunrises are incredible and close enough to grab a nice hot coco and enjoy, it never gets old.

With walkways and clean sand the beaches were beautiful, Lifeguards on duty and volleyball being played at the nets. The only thing missing is park benches just off the sand for us handicapped folk.

I was on a solo trip in the area, for a concert, and spent 4 hours here the next day. I found an easy parking spot, was able to pay the meter with no problem. It was $2.00 per hour. I was able to put cash into the machine, which was great. The parking was near the bath house. I found a great Aidirondack chair, under a Palm tree, and enjoyed sunning & having a lunch snack. I wanted to go down to the edge of the ocean, but was worried about leaving my belongings. I looked around, and everyone seemed to be decent (couples with little kids, older couples reading, teens just hanging out together & playing music).I didn't feel that anyone would steal my stuff, but since I had my passport, license, credit cards, and a hundred dollars in my bag, I asked an older woman to keep an eye on it. I placed it beside her chair. The sand was clean, the water was crystal clear and great temperature. I didn't get in the ocean, since I was alone, but was wishing I had brought my snorkel mask & someone along. I saw a couple of cruise ships on the horizon. There were fishing boats offshore, too. I would definitely recommend to anyone, young or old. I felt safe and wished I had more time to stay and enjoy the beach.

Wide beach, nice sand, shallow water - loved it! the beach is long with a lot of nice hotels and restaurants along the way. Walk along the sidewalk or on the sand (sand is too hot for bare feet unless you are close to the water). Pick up an electric scooter almost anywhere and zip around.

In the summer heat do try and get an umbrella of some sort so that you can get a bit of shade if needed. I love the fact that the city cordons off the areas that the turtles are nesting in.

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale Beach after traveling to Central and South America. It was very hot where we had been so the 68 degrees in Florida was a welcomed relief. Stayed in the beautiful Best Western Plus Hotel and walked one block to the beach. People swimming, playing volleyball and relaxing on the beach made us glad to be home. Bikes and scooters were available for rent.
Very clean and family oriented. Clear water and clean sand. My kid felt very relaxed and so did I. We have beaches at home but not like this one.
