Definitely a thrill. Well organized and runs efficiently with minimal down time. Minimal walks or rides between the various stations. You feel more and more confident with each of the rides. On my last ride I purposefully jumped and flipped before the harness engaged and then ran upside down for 80% of the trip, just like I saw the trip leaders do. I am 55 years old!. No safety cable however, if that is a "no go" item for you.

A bridge that you will never forget you crossed. It is one of the coolest attractions that I have ever seen. I have been traveling to Gatlinburg for 4 years and this is the first time I have heard of this place and it was awesome.

we went to see the swinging bridge. first, staff is very friendly. the bridge is the best build swinging bridge I've ever seen. history of how the place came to be is great. definitely take trail to waterfall and just enjoy the beauty of the place. take the time.e and sit down and read about this places history. I'm not going to say it here, you just need to read for yourself. we really enjoyed just walking around the place and sitting on the porch. unfortunately I had a hurt leg so couldn't zipline. but we are planning on going back and ziplinning and relaxing across the bridge again. ALSO, they have taken the extra steps to make the place real good and have put a lot of time into really keeping the place up and building things to make it interesting and safe. small little touches that just make it special!

You get to hike to a big waterfall that you can stand under, sort of, or get on top. They don't really mention it, but it's there. There's also more cool bridges on the other side.

Loved walking over the this bridge and exploring everything. Loved building a building my cairn and looking at others that people had made. A very enjoyable and unique experience!

The staff was average and ignored us for a few minutes while they fixed their printer. It rained the day before and the mud was so bad, people were falling up and down the trail. The bridge was nice, but the trail should be paved to prevent injury. We have hicked other trails and most are paved. Paving would not hurt the environment or the cosmetic feel of the hike. The waterfall was okay, but not worth the three falls we sustained.

Good choice, good experience. Would love to do again if I had the chance and to see more at Foxfire Mountain.

Caleb and Daniel were the best guides! We wanted to do something on this trip we have never done and I was glad we chose Foxfire Mountain to zip. Thanks guys for helping make our vacation memorable.

We loved the little rope obstacle course...we laughed so hard at each other we were in tears! The walk to the waterfall was shaded and my kids loved it! It was a great trip for something to do in the morning before lunch. A little on the pricey side.

We did the swinging bridge trail, very nice. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the trail well worth the small charge. They are adding more things. They have ziplines and atv type vehicles we didn't try those.

It is near the Train Museum. Parking is a little nonexistent, but worth the stop. My granddaughters were scared at first but ended up enjoying it. River was running really good. Nice place for photo's. Easy to get by the river.

We spent most of the day with our 15, 14 and 9 yr old. There was a ton to do! The trail leading to the small waterfall took about an hour round trip and the swing bridge was really cool! We took about a 2 hour zipline adventure tour with our guides Chasse and Connor. They were highly knowledable, funny and made me feel very secure in letting my tiny 9 yr old fly down the ziplines! Plus you can't beat the fact the Chasse had a mustache that would make Tom Selleck jealous! I highly recommend visiting FireFox Mountain if you're in the area.

This really is a long bridge, and it is in a peaceful setting with a lovely view as part of an inclusive experience at Foxfire Mountain.

very nice walk . along bridge its cute you write a wish on a ribbon walk across the bridge and under a roof you hang your ribbon up so your wish will come true

This is a great hike for those who would like to exercise. The employees give you a map and you go out on your own for the hike. It wasn't a very long hike but the mountain is fairly deep. I took the short, wet route so i'm not sure how long the long, dry route is.

If you do not like heights then you wouldn't be at Foxfire Anyways because they are a Zip lining park. The bridge is cool, does not sway too much as long as you aren't bouncing and jumping on it. The view of the river is gorgeous from the bridge, only about 50 feet off the ground.

Fox Fire is a great place to visit. My husband and I got engaged here in 2014 and came back to try out the zip lines this year. We did the waterfall tour and had a blast! We were lucky enough that it was only the 2 of us along with our two fabulous guides, Tim and Craig! Can't wait to visit again and try out the Goliath zip line tour!

Pretty cool little place! Lots to do! Be sure to bring a brochure for $5 off a person! But the waterfall is beautiful but we didn't have the guts to do the second highest zip line in the country!!

Once we found this place the staff was very unfriendly and bordered being rude. We paid to walk across the bridge. The bridge is nice but I think it is overpriced, $19.95 per person.

This bridge is OK. If you zipline and this is thrown in for free...it is worth doing. If you are driving out here to just do the bridge...don't do it. It should be noted...thier Ziplines are the best we have ever done. We did the Goliath...awesome!!

Just a beautiful place and the surroundings are so peaceful standing out there in the middle of the bridge. A must see for sure!

My oldest kid had tons of fun climbing the rock wall and doing the zip line obstacle course. My wife and I took our other smaller kids over the rope bridge up to the waterfall. Only con is nothing to do for younger kids. Food was also very pricy after having to pay for the expensive tickets.

Start off at the Wishing Well, proceed to the Swinging Bridge, hang your wishes on the Covered Bridge, hike to the Falls, traverse to the Ziplines, ride on the ATV'S, enjoy an Ice Cream Cone, eat a Barbecue sandwhich, hang out on the backporch while enjoying a game of Checkers with the Friendliest Dogs you will ever meet.

after our zipline adventure, we went on the bridge and walked to the waterfall. it is beautiful and relaxing. we enjoyed this area so much, it is worth the drive and worth the price for it all. being one with nature it worth it all. I would return to this place time and time again. :)

Crossing the bridge was great fun especially while leading a llama. Beautiful East Tennessee looks even better while seeing the sights with from the swinging bridge. We enjoyed how peaceful this area is and hope to visit again.

An amazing hike. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all they have for you to do. They even had hammocks on the trail. Great way to take a break

Took wife + 9 kids (teens to 8 month old). First off, this place, foxfire mtn, has tons to do: atv, zip, etc. We did the swinging bridge, nature trek, and falls visit.
Kids enjoyed it. They even had walking sticks you could borrow for free so kids liked doing that. The walk to the falls was nice and the falls themselves were pretty.
the zip lines run overhead so you can see/hear them go by. place is nicely laid out. There is also a small "play" area at the end of the bridge for kids + adult to go on.
When younger kids are older, would like to try the zip lines.

The bridge itself was OK, nothing spectacular in my opinion. You can write a wish down on a strip of paper and carry it over the bridge where you can hang it up alongside everyone else's. Cool idea. There's a trail that continues on to the waterfall, but we didn't do that part since we had already done the waterfall zipline tour. The bridge was a nice extra as part of our package, but I would not have wanted to pay separately to do it. Foxfire as a whole, though, was wonderful!

Was waiting to do the zip lines so to kill time we took a walk over the swinging bridge and down the nature trail. Well constructed and is really not a swinging bridge.

all free and fun = only need to pay for zip lines, we skip that but enjoyed the BBQ. alot of photo ops on a safe bridge to prosperity mountain and at wishing well.
( ALL YOUR WISHES WILL COME TRUE ) - so they boast.

Very pretty hike. Once you get to the waterfall, it's not so bad. I don't know if I would do it again but it was worth the experience. If you have kids in a stroller, it's not a good idea. We didn't have any little ones but we met a family on the way down who did. They had to leave the stroller behind to continue.

The Foxfire Mountain Adventure grounds are loaded with something for everyone. The bridge is set high above the creek in a beautiful setting that leads to hiking trails.

We went to the mountain to try the swinging bridge and watch the falls , its a long hike but beautiful falls and the experience is all over amazing .

After doing the zip lining we walked the bridge and trail. Very nice despite a little rain. Great place to spend a few hours.

I was completely freaked out going across this bridge as it does swing, and especially if you walk side by side or someone else is crossing from the opposite direction. So.....I made myself cross it again....twice! I wanted to get over the fear. It really is safe, and there is lots to do here too, besides the bridge! They have an ATV adventure, 2 zip line courses, hiking trails and a 60foot tower to climb. All very safe, monitored by the staff.

I love the Bridge to Prosperity, building cairns, donating to charity, and hanging my wish and just chilling :)

I was on a women's retreat and I had an amazing experience! For my first time, I enjoyed the swinging bridge, the hike was what I needed physically, the people that worked there were soooo nice. We had Robin helping us and let me tell you. We had a ball. At the end of the hike she drove us back in her jeep. The wildest, most fun I've had on a jeep in the mountains ever! 5 thumbs up!

it was a nice walk with pretty views. LOVED the covered bridge for wishes. very creative!! we hung our wishes too.

My sister and I really enjoyed the hiking trip to the waterfall, I would recommend bring walking sticks if you have them, itβs steep and uphill but worth the hike. Loved the bridge and the wish well. Great for the whole family.

My husband and I visited Foxfire Mountain last week and enjoyed it. We walked all around the grounds and then went on the swinging bridge. Very impressive bridge! Then we went on the hike to the waterfall. It was pretty warm out that day so it was nice to have the waterfall splash us a little. We are both in our 60s but the hike was not bad and there are benches along the way to sit and rest if you want to. I do recommend you take one of the free walking sticks to aid you on some of the hills. I enjoyed our time here but thought it was over-priced. We paid $43.00 plus tax for the bridge and hike.

We went for the zip lining and found so much more. There is a cool water fall if you keep going after the bridge.

Worth the hike. Make sure to go to the waterfall and the walk around the river. Try the BBQ sandwich plate.

My husband and I went to foxfire mountain for the swinging bridge pass only (called the Discover Foxfire package on their website). With tax for the two of us it was $43 and some change. While we would not normally pay so much for a hike we didn't mind since it had so many unique extras. Before you cross the bridge you have the option to write down a wish to hang on the ceiling of a small shelter on the other side. Once you cross, you can build a cairn (round rocks stacked decoratively) for good luck. There is also a path about half a mile or so to a small but beautiful waterfall. The waterfall has a swinging bridge in front of it great for photos and you can also get close enough to the waterfall to get cooled off. We also enjoyed the BBQ from Ugly Betty the smoker. This was a nice, easy relaxing activity that is great for couples or families. Enjoy!

We drove out here to hike and see the bridge. Just about everything else closes after Labor Day. It was a good hike and the bridge was neat but it wouldn't of cost anything to hike in the mountains. We did enjoy the cider tasting.

Walked all the way through the woods to get to a waterfall that does not exist. The people running the place did not tell us anything about the waterfall not having any water. Had to walk through manure to get to the front door. Wasted money and time to see a bridge.

Beautiful hikes, great bridges, awesome kids park, amazing staff! The waterfall hike was a little harder than I thought it would be, but to be fair I am out of shape, it was still worth every minute! Our 15 year old did the zipline with tour guides Jlo and Robbie and had a fantastic time! While we waited they had all sorts of activities such bags, kids axe throwing, viewing areas, kids park, cider tasting and a nice gift shop. Didn't get to try the cider, but will be back to do it! Must do if in the area!

Before Zip Lining, we ventured out to tackle the Swinging Bridge. It was an awesome experience and one the whole family will enjoy. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful views.

Very beautiful view. Once across, make sure to leave a note for the fairies and ring the bell so they will grant it. Only the very able bodied should attempt the climb to the waterfall.

The view before, during and after is awesome. How often can you walk across a swinging bridge. The entire landscape is worth the trip. Get away from the hurried activities in town and go enjoy the TN mountains at their finest.

Was here 3 years ago, came back to do all the zips. There are 2 separate courses here to do. I recommend both.

The park is a spectacular place to enjoy the outdoors. Hiking trails are wonderful and not too difficult, and anyone can enjoy the ziplines, whether a seasoned veteran or a beginner.

Lovely small scale opportunity to get out in nature without doing a full-on hiking experience. Small river runs through the property and there is a waterfall to walk up to. Hard cider house is cute and whimsical. Climbing tower and games for kids as well. Found this place/tickets on Groupon.

This is a great place to bring kids. A bit expensive, but a great way to spend the day hiking or zip lining. We went across the prosperity bridge and hiked along the river. A great place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city.

We only visited for the swinging bridge, but we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to other families! There was also a covered bridge for hanging wishes and a nice sitting area to rest and enjoy the kids playing on rope bridge play area. Scenic, short drive and peaceful.

Loved, loved, loved this place. We did the bridge experience and also the bear claw ATV ride. Our driver, Tim, was AWESOME! Highly recommend this for any age!! Can't say enough good things about our experience! Tim rocks!!!!!

This was so beautiful and was an amazing view of the mountains and streams below. Awesome, peaceful and tranquil. Loved it so much!

Our extended family (including children and grandparents) bought tickets to the swinging bridge. The property is very cute and charming, the staff are great and the swinging bridge is very cool! Some of the group went on the hike to the waterfall - it had rained the day before and the hiking path was extremely slippery, making the steep paths uphill a little difficult; everyone got very muddy! However, we had a very good time and would definitely go back.

My family visited Foxfire Mountain 6/14/14. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic canopy tour and can't wait to visit when the new Goliath zip line opens. My son loved the zip lines, rock walls, aerial challenge course, and head rush plunge. My 6 year old daughter loved the small challenge course and the hike to the waterfall. We would recommend this adventure to others and can't wait to return ourselves.

This place is AMAZING! Justin and Tim knew exactly what they were doing and made sure we were safe!!

Loved the bridges! Hike to the falls was more strenuous than anticipated, but very cool. This attraction is pretty far off the beaten path. Give yourself ample time & use GPS!

Craig and Brit are the best guides. We did the Goliath and had the time of our lives. We will definitely be back

It was off season but we wanted to check out the bridge. Unable to walk due to repairs being made. This place is way back in the mountains! Good place to walk, etc and get exercise. Never know, we may travel that way again sometime.

The area is so peaceful and calm. The swinging bridge is a sight to see! The hike to the waterfall was amazing! We did not go zip lining but we will definetely be back to give it a try!

Brittany and Tim were awesome on our zipline this after noon
He was telling jokes and making us all comfortable with the lines
While Brittany remembered our names every time we got up for the next line.
It was very fun and awesome scenery
Although price was just a little high to zipline for just 45 min or so.
Got great photos near the end, with that being said we didn't purchase our pictures because it was a "group" photo and had others that we'd never met before in our life. If they were just solo and the people you came with and the guides we would have purchased.
But was a great time and again Brittany and Tim were nice curtious polite and funny while making your experience safe and fun !!

Nice change of pace after doing the "Bear Crawler". Grounds are neat and well taken care of. Nice family activity.

The bridge is amazing and I like that you can make a wish before crossing the bridge. Everyone needs a lil help in life.

We were there for the Ziplines but walked across the bridge while we were there. The bridge is very nice and worth checking out if you are already there for other features of Foxfire. Wonderful added feature of the property but if this is the only reason you are going it would not be worth it. There are many other things to check out there for just the general admission price and all together I feel it is worth the trip. There Ziplines are simply the best in the entire area and the bridge is included with a zipline trip.

Awesome place! We went after it rained, cool waterfall and bridge. We took our 2 year old and she also enjoyed it. We will definitely be going back to zip line and atv tour. You can literally spend an entire day there!

Great place to take some neat pictures of your family. I have some beautiful pictures of my kids dressed up on the bridge! Dogs roam around the property, its really cute.

The swinging bridge was very cool - grandkids enjoyed it too. The easy hike was just that but the moderate hike was too much for me (the grandma) but the kids loved it.

Not exactly what I expected. There was only one large bridge and a small bridge to cross. The rest was uphill hiking. It was a nice location with beautiful views, we were just expecting more bridges, and not as much hiking. BBQ smelt wonderful, but when we went over there, there was nothing left, only ice cream.

The trails are so much fun here. Had a great time walking around with my 8 year old son. The bridge and waterfall were highlights.

I have a fear of heights and although my heart felt like it was pumping out of my chest I breathed in and took advantage of the opportunity to walk the worlds longest swinging bridge. It was awesome.

Ridiculous that you have to pay $19.95 to go on a nature walk! Can't believe they charge so much to see an average bridge and waterfall. Have never had to pay to take a short (just one hour hike before). Where we are from (CO) this is all free and AMAZING. No idea how families can afford something like this. Total rip off.

We visited Foxfire Mountain Adventure during our family vacation. We had 6 children ages 3 1/2 to 16 and 8 adults. We hiked up to the waterfall, along the river ,played in the water and 9 of us zip lined. This was the first time for several of the adults and grandkids zip lining , they all had a great time and want to try the higher one next time! Shane and Tim were our guides for the zip lining, they were awesome. They gave us clear instructions, they had a ton of patience with the kids and even showed them how to even have more fun during the run showing them how to go upside down and flips. We packed a picnic lunch with drinks and sat around in the yard after hiking waiting for our zip line time. They do not have any food items for sale on site. They have a cool obstacle course for the younger kids along the short river hike. The adults enjoyed the hard cider tasting which all were very good! This was definitely a more rural setting. Would visit again .

between zip and bearcrawl, visit serenity bridge and make a wish at the wishing well, hike along the trail and climb a canopy tour.

Had an awesome family trip to Foxfire. Did ziplines with the oldest and did the Bearcrawler as a family. Great family experience for my 4 year old and my 8 year old. The tour guides were amazing. Thank you Will and Devin for a great day!!!!!

Great place to visit. Loved the hike and the waterfall. This was my family second time visiting. They had a blast in water.

My husband and I chose to walk their swinging bridge and nature trail, we paid $14.95 each which we thought was a little expensive for what it was. The place is under construction, so not "completed" yet and maybe when it's finished it will be better, I don't know. We chose not to zip line as it would have been another $70/person to do that. The bridge was fun to walk on, and the canopy tour bridge system was fun to walk on as well (after you crossed the main bridge). The walk to the falls was uphill so we got pretty tired, and I was a little nervous coming back down as I was afraid of losing my footing as it was quite narrow in spots. Going up I hadn't noticed that so much, but I did coming down. I should have had a walking stick like my husband. They have a container of them for people to use right at the beginning of the trail. There was another trail to go down by the river, but we didn't do that one. There are some other buildings including a small museum, a restaurant (not open, off season I guess), gift shop, etc. and the bathrooms are "outhouses" but modern. Like I said, it was enjoyable (we enjoyed seeing the zip liners overhead as we walked) but a little on the expensive side.

We had an amazing time. We had to wait a couple hours before we zip lined but the trails/hikes , tree houses , swinging bridge, obstacle course, llamas and bull occupied our time. Once it was our time to zip line our instructors Blake and Aaron were amazing! Great guys that made it fun and comfortable !! Highly recommend Foxfire and hope to bring our 4 kids back soon! I

This site should be named Foxfire Mountain Adventures NOT Swinging Bridge. That name does not communicate the fun that awaits. Our first time on a zip line. Did the Goliath. Awesome . . . great height and speed! As "seniors" we were a little apprehensive but our guides Avonlee and Tim were patient and helpful. The auto stop took the worry out of crashing at the next platform. By the end we were ready to go again. Whether experienced or not this is a great place for adventure.

This a very beautiful place loved the view and fresh air if your wanting to have some free fun check it out.

We were treated amazing when we came! J-Lo and Blue were the best instructors ever! Great place to take your family, we would love to come back.

This place is a lot bigger than i imagined. We had a Groupon and when we arrived the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Oue 19 month old enjoyed the walk and playing in the river and all the yard games. Unfortunately we didn't get to hike the trail to the waterfall as i was 6.5 months pregnant and wasn't sure between that and a small toddler we could do it, but we will be back.

Made reservations on line the night before from the hotel. Reservations were there and ready when we arrived. Got there early and did some of the walking paths and watched some other zippers above us. Trails are nice. The zip line goliath tour was incredible. Thanks to Aarron and Noah, our guides, were entertaining, professional, and rocked us over the valley, over 400' up at one point. Too cool. Cruising at over 55 mph is a rush you may not get anywhere else. I am glad we made the decision to go to Foxfire.

Our family of 4 walked across this bridge with Llama trek! It's beautiful and so much fun. We loved the covered wishing bridge as well. The Foxfire Mountain property is lush with so many trees and beautiful waterfalls.

An unexpected trail after zip lining. It's a beautiful trail leading to a waterfall. You actually cross 2 bridges.

I didnot like this place at all.IT look like it run down i will not be back .It was lot of amilnal was loose on dogs was try to get to my dogs .On the walk trail you need a stick to walk up a moutain it was not safe at all

Beautiful view. The staff was friendly. Fun for all ages. There's plenty to do as a family or just for the kids.

All the other reviews of FoxFire Mountain seem to be very positive, so maybe we just handled this wrong with our approach. The zip lines looked really cool, but we didn't do that. They have what they claim to be the longest swinging bridge in the U.S., so my wife paid for our family of 5 to see the bridge, which came with a short hike. $44 later we walked across an average swinging bridge with average scenery, then went on a hike

My husband, 14 year old son, and I visited Foxfire and completed the 3 hour adventure package. Well worth the $$$!! We started out our morning with the swinging bridge, waterfall, and riverwalk hikes. Had lunch at the bbq place which was included in our ticket package. With our adventure we were able to zipline, freefall jump, climb rock walls, and complete an ariel obstacle course. Three hours of fun challenges with 2 great your guides, Sarah and Trent!! Thanks for an awesome day!

We didn't zipline, just took the walking tour on the swinging bridges up to the small waterfall. Except for the swinging bridges (the big one does not swing) you can do this for free in the national park. We got tickets half price from Groupon, not even worth that price.

We bought a groupon 2 for 1 for the swinging bridge adventure. It was a big disappointment. Website says it's an hour long adventure but the actual bridge took about 2 minutes and it's so solid it doesn't really swing much at all. Then you walk up a trail that is very poorly marked and poison ivy is so close to the trail that it brushes your legs if you are not careful. The waterfall is man made and the black plastic is clearly visible in the stream. There were very few signs and at times we weren't sure which way to go. There was a tree down across the trail that we were actually supposed to take, so luckily we guessed right and went the right way. My son did enjoy visiting with the dogs at the office but they shouldn't be charging for the bridge.

Took the adventure after seeing a brochure and spoke with Justin we knew this was the one for us, we had an amazing time and the staff are all super friendly and funny. It was my wife (not fond of heights) a long time family friend (who is terrified of heights) and myself (not afraid of much) the staff Blue and Mitch were great keeping my wife and friend comfortable in what they were doing which by the way was the Goliath course 475 foot drop and 1/2 mile long to contemplate life choices and we all had fun.
Blue let Mitch know that you might be "tired" of the police and wheels joke. They will definitely keep you having a good time.

We had a great time on the Swinging Bridge Adventure!! We just love Foxfire Mountain. We zip lined here about 2 years ago and it was so much fun. Decided to check out the new swinging bridge. Loved how they add special touches and surpises along the way (don't want to give those away but they are very unique). The hike to Lost Mine Falls was beautiful and got to see lots of color in the trees. I would defintely recommed anything at Foxfire Mountain!

Free admission to swinging bridge course while national parks are closed! We didn't get too far into the trails because we were on a time schedule. Sweet place to hang your wishes under a covered bridge.
The best part for us was the blood hound that greeted you at the door.

very nice and enjoyable walk thru the woods and bridges. give yourself enough time to enjoy the falls. we got to foxfire around 4pm, found the place just driving around, and would have liked to see the falls, but went on our 1st zipline instead. didn't make a mistake there. well worth the zip instead of the falls.

Foxfire Mountain Swinging Bridge is privately owned, so there is a $20 fee to cross the 335 foot long bridge - which seems steep. The view is awesome! To save money, I recommend making a day of it because you can combine activities, such as zip tours or bear crawler adventures. Discover Foxfire is free with any other adventure there. There are miles of hiking trails available to explore.

If you haven't been GO! Plan on spending several hours. Dress comfortably and bring your camera. You can sit on the porch and rock, hike to the waterfall, hula hoop, or zip line. We were there in Oct and one of the dogs running around was pink for breast cancer awareness. We felt very welcomed. It was a very relaxing place. We did not zip line, but if the smiles were any indication of the amount of fun they were having it is worth it. We will be back! They have a wishing bridge. It was beautiful!

Beautiful bridge and view! Anyone can do this. Not scary at all. Very well made and doesnt swing as much as smaller bridges.

We definitely had a great time with our tour guides Stormee and Patrick. They were great in making sure we felt safe and comfortable. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there. We bought our zip line tickets online and since this was a first time experience for us, we decided to buy the pictures with it. After the tour was over we went to check out the pictures and my husbands photos and group photos were not on our groups tour. We ask a couple of the staff how long to wait and they assured us it would only be a little bit. We then asked the gift shop employee and she said she would just email them to me when they were up. Which was never done. So we wasted $31.95 for NO pictures. Although we enjoyed the zip line I'm disappointed that they could never download the rest of our groups tour. And give us what we paid for in advance.

Before taking a walk across this bridge, do not forget to write your wish on the strip to be hung in the other side of the bridge. We had fun crossing this bridge because it rocked a bit as you walked across.

We spent the afternoon at Foxfire Mountain. It was awesome. We enjoyed the Bearcrawler ride with Cody and it was an amazing experience. He is a great guide and the crawler takes you to all the way to the top of the moutain. We experience the Civil War era iron mine, swinging bridge and waterfall and a fantastic trall ride. We also enjoyed the big swinging Bridge to Prosperity and museum. We have relaxing fun and adventurous run. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Foxfire Mountain. There is something for everyone on this working farm regardless of your skill level or desire for adventure. We will definitely go there again soon.

Great zip line trip today. Hikes on the trails where an easy walk. Would do it again.would encourage all the Baby Boomers who want to try zip lining to go there

We were running out of dog friendly things to do in the area and stumbled upon this gem. We didnβt zip line but did the hikes around the park. We walked the hanging bridge to the waterfall and then went to the river walk via the obstacle course. I recommend you also take advantage of the free cider sample.

We enjoyed the Swinging Bridge during our trip out to Fox Fire Mountain. It is located at the beginning of a hiking trail the goes up the side of the mountain. Would recommend using one of their walking sticks for the hike.

There are a variety of activities for all ages. We hiked across the suspension bridge to the waterfall. Wonderful views and a fun time walking through the woods. There was an opportunity to present a wish and hang it from the covered bridge. Although we did not participate in the zipline, wall climbing, or ropes course, we did see others enjoying themselves. There are activities for all ages. This would be a great place for any family who enjoys outdoor adventures.

This bridge is long and strong and led to a beautiful area for hiking! Our family absolutely loved being here!

Loved the whole experience. The bridge, the walk to the falls the staff, everything was perfect. The property is very charming and welcoming.

A yearly trip for us, which may be the best compliment you can give an establishment! They have some features that are great for kids- a place to make wishes and tie them up, a long suspension bridge, a cool tree house city connected by suspension bridges, a kids obstacle course, waterfalls, and more. Our kids at 5 and 7 were easily able to negotiate the trails (there are 2, each take about an hour or so).
Since we have smaller children, we did not partake in the climbing wall or the zip lines, but we could see many people doing it that looked like they had a great time.
Plan on about 2-4 hours, take a backpack with water and snacks, and enjoy a relaxing day. Last but not least- there are coupons to be found that makes the trip more cost effective!

We explored the swinging bridge after my husband and daughter did the zip lines. On the other side is a small version of a tree top walk way, following the bridge there is a hike to a water fall, but keep in mind it is a hike, not that far, but still up a mountain side.

My husband and I did the Goliath zip line and it didnβt disappoint. Amazing, adrenaline filling adventure. The guides were both great and funny. The most amazing views Iβve ever seen.

Had a great time, guides were awesome. One of the best zip lines we did. We've done at least 12. Would recommend!

We all enjoyed crossing the swinging bridge and taking the short hike up to the waterfall and back..

Thank you to our two amazing tour guides Brittany and Will. The Goliath zip line is a must. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at foxfire mountain. We would definitely go back!

My family and I visited Foxfire Mountain for the first time last week. What a neat place and definitely worth the drive. The hike up to the waterfall is not too challenging physically so most can enjoy it. The swinging bridge was great and very safe for those who aren't fond of them. Staff were super friendly - even the DOGS! Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful, scenic views. Nice relaxing hike, not overly strenuous but still a good workout. The swinging bridge was really amazing. If you're not up for the hike, the bridge is at the beginning of the trail and worth going to see. They also offer ziplining which we didn't do this time but looked like a really good course. Food is available. At the end of your hike you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views from the rocking chairs on their porch or you can play a game of bag toss. Lots of fun, much more than I expected, looking forward to going again. Keep an eye out on Groupon, on several occasions I've seen them offer 2-for-1 deals for the bridge.

We went here because of a Groupon deal. Really glad I didn't pay full retail as it wasn't as nice as we thought it's be.
What We Did- The Swinging Bridge Adventure which included a long bridge and a few other smaller bridges on a trail leading to a waterfall. The experience was nice but the trail wasn't marked well and at times we wondered which way we should be going. There was a large log across the trail at one point. Lots of poison ivy along the trail so be careful. The scenery was good and we hiked up to the falls, but was a little disappointed to discover this was a man-made waterfall and not a natural waterfall.
We considered doing the zip-line but found it pricey compared to other zip lines in the area. In fairness, the price for the zip-line included the swinging bridge experience and a bbq lunch.
This attraction is either still under development or they were adding to it as construction was underway during our visit. It may improve in time.

The property was beautiful and well maintained .. BUT this is probably the highest priced zip line in the area. They charged $20 EACH just to walk up to the waterfall..
Seems like a local farm house decided to put zip lines on the property. Save your money and go to Cades Cove and see a waterfall for free..

This is a beautiful location! We did the canopy tour zip line as well as hiked the property. The zip line adventure was safe, fun, and led by Tim and Tom, two awesome zip line guides! We had first timers on the excursion and Tim and Tom helped them along. I would highly recommend this place, and zip-lining with Tim and Tom!

My husband and I took my 12 year old grandson zip lining. All of our safety concerns were quickly put to rest. Our guides, Ben and Chris, did a great job of educating us on what we needed to do. We all had a great time and would highly recommend it.

Awesome and amazing time at Foxfire. The swinging bridge was great and lots of fun. The hike and waterfall was fun and beautiful. The staff was amazing especially Robin she was a delight and took great care of our group. Definitely would recommend!!!

Bridge was very interesting walk to water falls was long an steep but worth it,staff was very nice an knowledgeable!

The bridge was not very high at all. The waterfall was man made and the water was pumped. It smelled very badly. Not worth the money we paid.

Very safe and fun. Lots of photo opportunities and the wishing well and covered bridge were cool. Check it out after zipping!

Great trip, we will definitely try to go back! Loved everything. Hiked to the waterfall, it was awesome to be able to walk across the bridge that spanned the waterfall. We really enjoyed our day here. After all that walking and playing, we stopped for ice cream and played corn hole. Great place. Something for everyone. I think it's one of the best lesser known places in the area.

The bridge was in almost perfect condition, it's a nice stroll. You can stop and look down in the river, and just enjoy the scenery.

I had high hopes for this spot but it didnβt live up to expectations. I had read a lot about βthe bridge to prosperityβ and the wishing bridgeβ¦ the whole thing was just meh. I was very underwhelmed. To just walk around and hike to the waterfall cost $61.00 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids).
My kids liked crossing the bridge and putting their wishes up. The bridge and the spot where you place your βwishβ is maybe a 5 minute walk from where you check in and pay.
We hiked to the waterfall which again, underwhelmed.. seemed very βtourist trappyβ.. wouldnβt do this againβ¦

It was a kick to see the bottom of the raven below as you walked across the glass in the middle. Some people were freaking out. The bridge moved a little. I loved it..

I attended this past April and the entire staff was wonderful. I am really big on custumer service and they truely went above and beyond. I also enjoyed the bridge and the hike, the beautiful waterfall. The food was GREAT!!! The only thing we ran out of time doing was zipline which I will be back to try!! Loved Robin and the owner especially!!!!

So cool on the other side. Wishes are hung on a bridge and neat rope bridge for the kids. Great to do after ziplining.

We had so much fun here!! Crossing the bridge, hiking to the waterfall, it was all fun!! Very nice area with very friendly staff!!

The longest swinging bridge in America. Just for the hike it costs $20.00, not sure it is worth that. Now if you ride the ATV or do the zipline that is included. The magic trail along the river is not worth the time. The hike to the falls is moderate and takes awhile. When you go across you can make a wish on the covered bridge and build a cairn.

Americas longest swinging bridge was amazing. Not a bad hike to the falls enjoy watching the zip lining

We were a bit nervous to try out Foxfire based on some of the reviews. We're happy we didn't take the comments to heart and made the journey. We had 2 ten year olds, 2 adults, and 1 grandma in our group. This was the perfect place for our mixed group.
The swinging bridge doesn't swing like other bridges; however, you also don't feel insecure at all which is perfect for those who would be too scared to do a less secure swinging bridge. More adventurous people can do the canopy tour at the top of the swinging bridge.
The trail was adventurous enough for the kids and not too hard for grandma. The benches along the trail made it doable and a fun hike. The fall was gorgeous - although the angle of the fall makes it difficult to get a group photo using a tripod which is definitely not a deal breaker. We've hiked to several falls and rate this fall among one of the best. The hammocks at the base of the fall were a hit with our kids.
The porch with rocking chairs and owner's dogs were very welcome to us as we are missing our doxie. They would also be great for people waiting on their party to zipline or do an ATV tour which is very different than other zipline courses which are definitely not designed with those people in mind. Speaking of the zipline - you can actually see your party zipping by thanks to the trail and swinging bridge which makes it great for getting photos that you can't get at any other zipline course we've visited.
The care and details taken into consideration when developing the property are very obvious. They've developed the property and not spared any expense even better they give back to several not-for-profit organizations through the donations made at the wishing well. The wishing bridge with all the wishes hanging from it was great.
The owner took the time to talk with us about his artwork he's created as well as his plans to add to the piece. The artwork reminded us of the game Mousetrap. It has tracks that rotate golf balls through a series of obstacles. We didn't eat, but the food looked great. We will be returning to do more of the activities as well as the ones we did this time per everyone in our group.

Nice place very pretty but overpriced very overpriced on everything.at the top of the hill where the bridge is.

Staying in Sevierville for a week. Had a down day. Decided to get the kids out of the cabin. This was perfect. Had a great walk to the waterfall and played on the little obstacle course. Beautiful scenery.

My wife and I loved this. Great hike. Swinging bridge was long and awesome. There was a tree house rope course at the other end then a great hike to a waterfall. The waterfall was not falling since it was Dec. when we were there. The "blessing" strips were great in the covered bridge. The "outhouse" modern toilets were funny. Using the provided walking sticks was helpful and buying the ones we used were fun. There were some farm animals that roamed the "grounds". As we were hiking, several times we saw people "ziplinging" through the canaopy of the trees, which is a part of the facitily. We would go back in the summer to see the waterfall and I might be convinced to try and put away my little girl fear, I am male 61, of heights and try the ziplines.

First time on a Zip Line and we totally went all out! It was so much fun. 500 feet high 2300 feet long! It was so much fun! I would recommend to anyone! It's about $100 a person which is kinda high but totally worth it!!!

We had a wonderful time at Foxfire Mountain. The bridge was really cool and the hike was great for us. If you have a chance and you are in the area you should go and check it out. The hike to the waterfall was ok it was steep in some places but when you get over the swinging bridge there is a box that has walking sticks in it and I would suggest to take one to help with the hike. We will come back here next time we are in the area.

We recently visited Foxfire Mountain and cross The Swinging Bridge that is so highly advertised. The Swinging Bridge is nice and long but it cost us $43 for two people to enter just to hike the trails and cross the bridge. There are numerous free swinging Bridges around the area that are shorter. So I do not recommend going just to see The Swinging Bridge. If you pay for one of the other activities such as zip lining the cost of Entry is included.

Hiking was great & when it was our turn to zip, our guides had us feeling safe & comfortable! Well worth it and a great value! We will be back #firstimers

We had such a great time. The guides were great and knew a lot about zip lining and the woods. Would do it again in a heart beat.

A spectacular view with just a hint of adventure. This is fun for the whole family, our family, ages 60 to 2 all enjoyed it so much.

We took the swinging bridge tour and the bridge itself was not anything special, it was long and well made but still, a bridge! However, the trip to the falls was nice. They aren't huge waterfalls, yet quite pretty and it was neat to walk right up to them and be sprayed with water, especially after the hike to get there. I would recommend this attraction to fans of waterfalls and those that enjoy nature hikes, do not go just for the bridge though!

The walk across this bridge was great. You can watch people zipping above you and its very long. Getting to the other side with your wish was very cool.

We had a blast even tho this time of the year the Ziplines are only open for the weekend we was able to go across the bridge. They do this wishing well that the girls really loved doing. They have a nice bbq place there and the girls did this obstacle course they have that we all got a laugh out of will be back!!!

Great view! Very nice light wind and great view! Would of loved to sit there and eat lunch! Also enjoy zip line but the food there was good but over priced.

Foxfire Mountain was one of our favorite parts of our vacation to the Smoky mountains. We will definitively go back there next time we visit Tennessee!

The website makes you think that there a lot more bridges than there actually are...A very steep trail takes you up to see a waterfall...

We hiked to the falls. They also have ziplines, but we did not take them. The ATV's through the creek and woods looked like they would be fun. When we go back we will take them. They also have a good pulled pork sandwich. The trees were beautiful and the setting is very quiet. The drive to get there is not bad. I would recommend a visit.

The trail was good I am happy we brought walking sticks because of the trails you really need to climb up..we went one at a time in the swinging bridge and took pics after we were safely off ..the bridge moves..love the trail and the waterfall we went early and enjoyed nature later there were a lot of people going when we were coming back down ..take your time and enjoy the beauty ..dont rush through it and watch your footing when you are going on the trail.

Was included with the zip line tour...great picture opportunity.woudnt go there just for the bridge but it was a nice touch after zip lining

It's had a very home feel too it. we went for the swinging bridge. to get your money's worth you really need to take the waterfall hike which loops back around to the bridge and then take the Riverside walk. very peaceful and lovely. the Riverside had a small obstacle course and there's a alpaca and some time of long horned cattle. i really liked the "waiting area" for the ride back or for family/friends. rocking chairs on the deck and under tees. corn holeβto play and a small sand box by the ropes. there's also a restaurant.

We had the best time of our vacation at Foxfire Mountain! We did the Bridge Adventure and the ATV tour, both were great! Foxfire Mountain is one of the few places in the area that we really felt we got our money's worth, they have a great staff and great facilities. Our guide, Cody, was very nice and really had fun with us! Our three year old went on the ATV tour, I was a little worried about him at first, but he did great and had a blast! He is still talking about it almost a week later, saying this was his favorite place of all the places we visited on vacation. We loved hanging our wishes at Prosperity Mountain, and seeing the waterfall! We will be back again as soon as we can!

Beautiful view and it leads to more trails and more rope bridges up in the trees. Make a wish and take it across the bridge to hand up. Legend has it the winds will carry your wish to fairies who make them come true.

Foxfire was a nice surprise. The people were very friendly and accommodating. We visited to cross the bridge and take a hike to the falls. It was a nice hike and could watch the zipline above us at times. We had small kids, so we didn't do the zipline, but going across the bridge was easy to do with a stroller.

The hiking trail at Foxfire Mountain takes less than an hour to complete. While not on the to-do list for serious day hikers, this trail offers several features conducive to cultivating the interest of a budding backpacker.
First up is the country's longest swinging bridge, America's Bridge to Prosperity. Over 400 feet long, the bridge spans Dunn's Gorge and links Foxfire Mountain to nearby Prosperity Mountain. Ninety tons of concrete and six large cables provide safety and fun on this attraction.
On the Prosperity Mountain side of the gorge, the trail enters a covered bridge and continues up the mountain and brings hikers to Lost Mine Falls where a second swinging bridge, Cliffhanger Swinging Bridge, spans a thirty foot gap placing you eye level with the falls and sixty feet above the rippling pool below. The trail then circles back on itself and hikers cross America's Bridge to Prosperity a second time as they finish up their trek.
Foxfire Mountain also offers zip lines, off-road vehicle tours, fresh barbecue and ice cream. Each adventure requires a fee but there are several options for combination packages. The grounds and facilities are clean and well laid out, the employees are friendly and helpful, and there are many small amenities designed for children and adults alike.

We did the zip line and the swinging bridge. But I had already purchased a groupon ticket for the swinging bridge. We found out after we got there that the swinging bridge is free if you purchase a zipline(which it should be). So thankfully they credited us the cost of the groupon from the cost of the zip line. But if I was just doing the swinging bridge without a groupon ticket, it wouldn't be worth $15 to walk on the bridge and see a little water fall. However, the zip lining was fantastically fun! Staff was great!

Not hard to find with a GPS. When pulling in first impression is everything looks unfinished, half done, homemade, ect....the place is under construction. Didn't know where to park, didn't know where the entrance was with all the construction. Arrived at 3, saw online they were open til 630 but when we came in to the main office/lobby was greeted but told they closed in less than an hour. So we only did the bridge. The bridge was nice but the grounds are someone's actual house and property. I think there is potential here but its just not ready in my personal opinion. Walkways are not secure in spots, stepping stones were loose and unfinished in spots. We didn't make it to the waterfall since we felt rushed so I can't speak of it, but we were told it was a 30 minute hike from the bridge and it was steep in spots. I can't recommend the place yet but maybe in a year or two may come back and see if its more of a finished, professional attraction and not so unfinished, half done attraction.

We booked a bear crawler ATV excursion last week and got to explore all of the property at Foxfire Mountain so we were able to experience this bridge as well. I'm not keen on heights and especially moving at those heights but this bridge is very well built and feels sturdy even though it moves quite a bit. Definitely worth the trip out to their property to check it out.

We took our family here this last week and it cost $120 just to go hiking. It was horribly hot, and we got poison ivy. The swinging bridge was cool, but not $120 cool. The cider tasting had already ran out of cider, except the hard stuff. The drive took a VERY long time from our resort. It was ok...just so expensive for a couple hours of hiking.

We paid to hike and in hindsight we should have picked a trail thru the Smokey Mountain instead. It was overpriced for what you got. The place looked like they were under going some renovations though. It did have a unique kid playground - play sets that looked like trucks. I just wouldnβt go again unless they added more. Perhaps a small petting zoo like the nap indicated.

Justin and Tim were awesome guides. It was such a great time and zip lines are highest and longest I've ever been on.

Due to the government shut down of the national parks at the time we were in town, we were looking for a unique place to visit and we found it on FoxFire Mountain! This is a class act place. For breast cancer awareness month in October, they all wore pink and even one of the resident canine's got in on the act! These folks give to charities and allowed visitors to the bridge free admission due to the government's blunder. It is a very inspirational place to visit. If you're looking for mainstream, this is not the place for you. If you appreciate kind hearted American's and a unique, spiritual and scenic way to spend a few hours... Then this is you're place!

the bridge is longer then the one at fall creek falls and has a rock cairn at the end and the beginning of a trail and will come back to do the trail nice end to ziplining

We enjoyed it but we didn't have time to go on the walking trails on the other side because we were going on their Goliath zip lines which was awesome!

We arrived early in the morning, and they appeared to still be pulling themselves together. No one checked our tickets at the main office and there were no staff at the entrance to the bridge.
It was a nice walk across the bridge. The trail to the falls was a little rough in spots, but doable. The falls themselves are so pretty, and well worth the hike.
My son wanted to go on the rockwall, but it wasn't opening until after lunch. :(
There was a cider place on site that gave small samples.

I found this place on groupon and thought it looked like a fun adventure while vacationing. Everyone was super friendly and we loved being greated by the big hound dog sleeping on the front porch. The bridge is cool and the vistas are beautiful. I am sure that the hike to the waterfall is nothing for an experienced hiker. However, it is defintely by no means an easy hike and a bit strenuous for those of us just out for a walk. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Once we reached the waterfall it was really pretty. But then to see the pvc pipe that was pumping water in to create the falls was quite disappointing. Maybe they should do a little better job hiding the pvc pipe.
You could see the zip lines running all through the area and lots of people enjoying themselves.

We went to Foxfire Mountain while in Sevierville last summer. We had a wonderful time and spent a good part of the day there. The kids enjoyed the rock climbing wall as well as the obstacle course. We did the big zipline and the view was amazing. Even my husband who is not found of heights enjoyed it. You can bring a picnic lunch and spend the whole day doing all kinds of activities there. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their job. Highly recommend this place and will go back when we are in TN again.

Went there while they were offering the free bridge tour while the smokies were closed. Thank you for opening up your wonderful place for us to see and hike.

We had a groupon so it was half off the regular price. I think the price would be a little high if not for the groupon. First of all, don't be scared off by other reviews about the "hike" involved. It's about a half mile, and yes is mostly uphill. But my wife, who is 5 months pregnant, did it in flip flops, along with her mother, who was also in flip flops. And it was about as humid as it could get. It's not a big deal at all. There are benches along the way, if you need to rest. The bridge itself was fun as well as the other smaller bridges they had. The waterfall was nice as well. It took all in all about an hour or so, but you could probably spend more time meandering around the grounds or resting in the hammocks. I'd go again if they were running the same special.

It was our first time of doing zip lines. Chad and Ellie our tour guides have been great for our kids. We really enjoyed it.

There is plenty of adventure here along with cider tasting and great BBQ. The falls climb is steep at times so if you are older and not in the best shape take breaks at the many benches they have. Watching the zip liners fly over you far above is entertaining too. After your hike the cider tasting was refreshing and the BBQ was very good. Attached a few pictures.

We went to FoxFire to see the super long sky bridge, and it did not disappoint. Both of our children loved walking across the 400ft bridge. There is a very beautiful and peaceful walk to a waterfall just beyond. Very well maintained...we felt very safe and secure while there. I would HIGHLY recommend going to FoxFire.
****It was a little further out than we anticipated. It was about 20-30 minutes outside of Pigeon Forge but it is easy to find with a pretty drive. FoxFire did a nice job of putting up signs to find them.
Also, we found on Groupon a coupon for the 4 of us to go for $30, which was discounted quite a bit. I would not have paid full price but with the discount, it was well worth it. Make sure you shop around for deals because they are out there!

The place was great spent the whole day after zip lining so much to do there. Well worth the money. The staff was great they made my 7 year old feel confident about zip lining and rock climbing. Had lunch there too hiked around the river. Was just a great day we will be back for sure.

The swinging bridge is beautiful and lots of fun. The walking path from the swinging bridge is underneath a portion of the zip lines, giving a great variable into the nature walk up to the falls. The falls are peaceful and beautiful. Other places in the park would require a 2 mile hike to see such.
We played some of the yard games and enjoyed the relaxed non-rushed environment. A very homey, quaint and fun family atmosphere! We will plan to come back to try out the amphibious ATV rides. They were also in process of building an interesting canopy walk too, on the far side of the bridge.

We were visiting the Smokies during the government shutdown, so we're looking for an alternative hiking area. Really glad we found Foxfire Mountain. The drive out was beautiful and well marked with directions signage.. We did the the swinging bridge, canopy tour and hike to Lost Mine Falls. The hike is not long but is a bit challenging do to elevation change. Definitely worth doing. The base camp is very rustic giving you the warm, lazy mountain air feeling right down to the sleeping dogs laying around. Don't be afraid of the "pit " toilets, they're real restrooms with running water. Would highly recommend this outdoor Smoky Mountain experience.

We found Foxfire Mountain when we were there while the national park was closed. We didn't realize that we would have to make reservations ahead of time to zip line anywhere in Gatlinburg (it was busier since the national park was closed). We were pleasantly surprised to find Foxfire Mountain. The hike to the waterfall was free that day. The trail was well-marked and not too difficult, even with kids. The swinging bridge was a lot of fun and my kids had a lot of fun hanging their "wish" on the other side (very creative idea). We spent a couple of hours there (we didn't zip line). My kids loved all of the dogs on the property- they were all very sweet and good with kids. I know my kids will want to come back to this place.

Great hiking . This park has a long winding and up hill trail which then descends to a more leisurely but very interesting and beautiful hiking trail . This bridge is awesome to walk on . It swings some, but sides are high so chance of falling off it is minimal unless one crawls over it. Little pricey but worth it if you can finish the trail of 1 mile. We made it to the top and started to descend when it rained a downpour on us. We had to go back before finishing so as not to fall in the torrents of rain in the rocky muddy trail. Trail has benches along the way to rest . Trail is a natural dirt and rocky one but it is awesome. Only wish they could have given some of our money back as it rained us out. Little pricey but worth it . Other things to do there of which we didn't partake. This place is back in the country and out of the way of the city. Consider that when going to visit there.

Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try ziplining!!!! I was alone with a group I didnβt know bc no one else in my group wanted to go... with that being said I felt included the WHOLE time!!!! TIM AND ROBBIE ARE AWESOME!!!! I was a beginner and did the Goliath lines... beautiful views!!!! The staff were amazing!!! Alex took wonderful pictures, and Tim and Robbie definitely deserve a raise! They made me feel safe, secure, and they didnβt
Mind helping you feel comfortable!!! They were awesome and they keep you entertained in between lines as well!!! They are wonderful!!!!!! They truly love their jobs excellent service donβt do them justice!!! Highly recommend them and they will be seeing me in the future!!! So much fun!!

My husband and I went to Foxfire Mountain Friday June 6th, 2014. Foxfire Mountain is a beautiful place with an excellent staff. We purchased tickets for the Bear Crawler tour and at 70.00 each it is a bit pricey and probably more would take part if the pricing was within most budgets. We selected the tour because of the online video. It showed the Bear Crawler speeding through the water and looked like something we would enjoy. Our guide Brandon, clearly has a love for the water and was very thoughtful to make sure his guests enjoyed the tour. He went out of his way to ensure that each person had an awesome experience. Going through the water is the best part of this tour. Our guide last year did not provide the time in the water as Brandon did and we really appreciate the time he took to ensure we had a great time. We would recommend a trip for Foxfire Mountain for all ages.

This was ok but not worth the price. It was very expensive for my family to do this, we would have been better off just going for a hike in the mountains other than paying these prices. We would not do this again.

Some friends and I went to walk the bridge and it was beautiful. The property is clean and maintained and family oriented. You could hang out and play corn hole and the food at the bbq place was excellent. The bridge walk was a little pricey but it was a great low key hike

Wow! Beautiful views!! We loved the swinging bridge - I agree with other reviewers that it is much better than expected! Beautiful view of the river below and it is not unstable, swingy or scary at all. We also did the canopy walk and the hike to the waterfall. I do think it's a little pricey for what's all involved, since the canopy walk is very, very short. But the atmosphere of the place is true Tennessee and we had tons of fun here! We also ate lunch with the puppies and the BBQ pork sandwiches from Ole' Betty were awesome!! Super friendly staff and also a beautiful drive out to it! We will definitely go back, and try the zip-lining next time.

Great swing bridge over the river. While it does move some it feels very stable and is comfortably wide.

Don't hike to waterfall. The waterfall is man made. They said they gave military discount, then found out we paid the same price as everyone else. Save your money go find real nature.

Firefox was awesome! We chose this place over others because not everyone in our group was ziplining and Firefox has many other things to do, so everyone could have a great time. We were not disappointed! We arrived early and checked in, then spen a hour exploring the property before gearing up. The whole zipline operation was well organized, and our guides, Caitlyn and Tim, were outstanding. They explained and demonstrated how everything worked and the safety procedures in an informative and fun way. We did the waterfall course because my sons are 9 and not old or heavy enough for the goliath course. The course is set up to ease you into the thrill, starting small and short, and building in speed and length and height as you progress before going full send on the last half of the course. It was perfect. Caitlyn and Tim were funny and professional and did an outstanding job of showing us how to have fun and do tricks while makimg sure we were always tied in and safe. They take pictures at several spots on the course and at the end, too. Our non-ziplining group members had fun hiking, playing games and doing the kids (he's 6) obstacle course which was quite challenging and includes a small zipline at the end. They sampled the hard and regular cider and we brought some of each home with us. I can't say enough great things about this place, especially Tim and Caitlyn. Highly recommend!

Fun day, hiking, animals, bridge, zip lines. Price was reasonable, $20 for all day. Snack areas , good for all ages, however the trails would be difficult if using a stroller. kids loved the day, area to swim as well.

The swinging bridge was very well built and we felt very secure! We love that donations go back to three organizations. The family was friendly and knowledgable about every aspect of their business. We enjoyed the whole experience.

I want to shout out BLAKE and JOSH for an amazing ziplining experience! They did a great job of explaining how to zipline and had a never-ending supply of dad jokes to pass the time while waiting for others in the group to finish. The ziplining course itself was amazing and provided spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains from 400+ feet in the air. I would strongly recomment Foxfire ziplining to anyone without a major fear of heights.

wonderful place, form hiking to waterfall, to zip lining, to swinging bridge to rock wall, something for everyone.

We went across the swinging bridge and hiked up to the waterfall, very quiet and relaxing, there were hammocks near the waterfall, there were zip liners above us,hiked back and went into the shops on site

We went here for ziplining and this was part of the area attraction. Really cool bridge that takes you to trails and special areas.

The bridge itself is not nearly as long as pictures show it to be. But it's a very nice bridge and fun to walk across and take pictures. On the side of the bridge that you enter in, there's a neat little garden with a wishing well and a covered little building where you can pick up papers to write down your wish. After going across the bridge, you then go into another little covered walk where you can attach the wishes to the ceiling. Kinda cool :)
There is a small obstacle course/rope bridge that us 60's age group went on with no problem. There's also a trail that goes to a waterfall. Some went further than others, but we all wished we had grabbed a walking stick on the way in! The trail is rocky and steep in places and some of us turned around partway up. Coming down was definitely tougher! If you make the entire loop though, it's probably much better coming down.
If you don't zip, you can probably do the swinging bridge and the trail to the waterfall in about an hour.
I'm glad we went!

What a quaint hidden gem away from the crowds! I made my wish and rang the bell after we crossed the swinging bridge. And of course built our stone cairn. The waterfall was cool too! Then finished up with some delicious cider!

That is very cool adventure park for the whole family where you can actually can do some thing for free, for example you can visit this bridge, make a wish and put your wish down there. Pretty cool experience for the whole family,

Due to the Government shutdown of the National Park we were looking for hiking opportunities for our family. We are so glad that we found Foxfire Mountain! The owners graciously opened the hiking and swinging bridges for free during the shutdown, but it is certainly worth the admission price! Our children enjoyed the entire experience and we rank it in the top activities of the trip! I would highly recommend and will certainly return!

Great Great time! Craig and Stormy were the Greatest guides! So much patience with us, as it was our first time zip lining! Goliath will be next!

We loved this place! We could have spent the whole day here. Yummy food, the BEST cider, awesome hike over the swinging bridge and to the waterfall.

We went out looking for a cider mill, and e found Foxfire mountain, no knowing what they even had to do there besides getting some awesome cider, we were amazed as we walked around the property, there was a small place where you could write your wish and then you walk it over the swinging rope bridge and hang it, that was amazing little touch, and something so different to do. We tasted some yummy apple cider, talked to the owner of the place for a while, super nice, and very informative, then went and hung our wishes, the kids got a kick of the small area they had for the kids to go up in a bridge area, and the area to make the rocks stack up..they also had trails to go for a hike on, kids obstacle course, climbing walls, zip lining..you name it. The place is very well themed, and we spend a while there..he drive out there was like in the country hills, which made for some beautiful scenery.

Disappointed that we paid over $100 to hike trails that were NOT well taken care of. Trees down that had to be climbed over, very thin trails and overall not worth it. Stick to the free trails in the Smokys and save your money.

We did the waterfall trail and it was really nice. We had a visitor that walked us around. He was a big white dog! very friendly so dont freak out if he comes up to you and says hello!!!!

We planned to spend a morning at Foxfire, but I wish we'd spent all day! We didn't realize our zipline ticket included pretty much everything on the mountain when we purchased! The bridge is beautiful and leads to what would have been the ultimate tree house as a kid as well as a wishing bridge. Very cool.

Lots to do friendly people. Nice hiking great bridge, cool zip lines. This place has it all in one location. Can't say enough good things.

We went zip lining here and added the bridge to our tickets. It was a nice walk and very relaxing and a good view of the creek below. It would have been much nicer if we had started earlier, so don't do the walk late in afternoon. Go early enough to take your time and enjoy the nature trail.

Zipling experience was very good. The runs were long and located in a beautiful and serene forest area. It's a complete park adventure. A very nice hike up to a great waterfall, play activities for all ages, an information musuem, and fun swinging bridge.
Our guides were nice, but lacked a real connection with the clients. I say this having done 6 other ziplining experiences around the USA with some more enthusiastic guides that made the event more personal.
As a former teacher. I'd give them a solid B grade.
Was also disappointed with the picture experience on the last run. We were encouraged to ride upside down, which to my chagrin caused the photographer to miss some of us in a decent picture.

My daughter was visiting the Sevierville area with her 3 children and was looking for something fun to do for a few hrs. She ask me to join them, which I did. I had no idea what Foxfire Mountain was but went along anyway. I am glad we got to go. It was a very nice laid-back place. The swinging bridges were really nice. Nothing was crowded. It is almost like playing out in your own back yard. All 3 children ages 6,9, and 11 seemed to have a good time. This attraction was not expensive. I think the 5 of us got in for 40 something dollars.

I haven't really ever wanted to walk across a swinging bridge but my husband forced me to do it. WHEW! I was SOOOO relieved when I got back to the starting point. He did a little hiking but I passed as I have Multiple Sclerosis. Walking just isn't "my thing".
Joe was thrilled with the experience. I could have passed on...MY problem. I'm certain everyone else loved it!

This was one of the most expensive activities we did. This set us back over $50. It is very beautiful and the swinging bridge was amazing. But this only included walking the bridge and the trails. I think it was very overpriced. Also the walk to the waterfall, they donβt tell you but it is a hour walk!! Come in shoes that are comfy. This waterfall is man made. It is not naturally occurring. The walk up to the waterfall got too steep and we did not want to make a two hour hike up there and back down. The owners and staff are friendly and outgoing but I just felt that it was too much money just to take a walk. To zip line it would cost you close to $100 per person.

We spent morning doing scenic zip, the went on Goliath ( 400 + feet). Amazing thrill. Jeremiah & Connor were very experienced and helpful. Would do it again. Walked the swinging bridge, but nothing compares to zipping!!

Crossing the Prosperity Bridge and leaving our wishes in the covered bridge was a highlight for our family. After hanging our wishes we hiked up to the waterfall and enjoyed the peaceful scenery.

My friend and I did the Goliath zip line experience at fox fire and LOVED it. Neither one of us had zip lined before but, the guides were excellent, knowledgeable, comforting, etc. The Goliath line is absolutely stunning. extremely reasonably priced for the experience you are getting. I will return to fox fire every time we go to pigeon forge, gatlinburg. If you decide to do this I advise you bring a go pro or similar if you have one. If you can experience all that the park has to offer do it. The trails are awesome, the suspension bridge is fun, the on site hard cider distillery is excellent. i wish we had more time when we were there.

Our group of 5 friends really enjoyed this bridge, especially leading to the hanging wishes! What an awesome idea! You write a personal wish on a ribbon, walk across the longest swinging bridge in the country, and hang it from the ceiling of a little shed. The ceiling is covered in colorful wishes! We read some of the wishes and were really touched. Altogether, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Foxfire Mountain!

Fantastic!! Zip lines were great guides were super nice and it was beautiful! So glad we went!! We walked to the waterfalls and it was a little steep in a few places I have really bad knees but the walk was very do able.

We had a great time with the swinging bridge tour. It was nice and I would recommend to anyone! Will go back in the future and try the zip line course!

Had Groupon so we did this. Nice walks in area. Also can add zip-lining afterwards if heart desires.

We had a blast!! Great place, worth the money!! Excellent service by the folks that run the place!!! This is a must do activity!! You will be talking about this place for a long time. The water fall is very cool!!

We wanted to walk the bridgeβbased on previous reviews and photos it looked incredible! And it was!
However, we got to hike for hours! (No extra charge.). We did the βhardβ hike first to the waterfallβlots of steep climbs, but doable and worth it. My 6 year old did it in her cowgirl boots! The other two trails were nice walks. And the obstacle courses were so much funβlike a small scaled version of American Ninja Warrior!
All staff were super friendly.
We liked that we were free to do these hikes on our own...no big tour group and guide!

Truly enjoyed the friendly staff, clean facilities, and the property with all its rich history.
The bridge and canopy tour is excellently constructed, the trail to the waterfall well marked and maintained. Hammocks at the waterfall are a wonderful touch and extremely comfortable while watching folks zip line above the hammocks.
It was a pleasure sitting in the rocking chairs by the gift shop and just relax, pet the dogs as nd reconnect with nature.
We'll be back to zip line on our next trip to the area.
Keep up the great job!

The bridge part is at the very beginning you walk over it and it leads you to an area that has different types of tree top swining bridges they are neat to walk across. You can hike up this mountain to a waterfall, do not try to hike this in flip flops becasue you will have a rough time like i did some very high inclines. The waterfal isn't that much though.

We had the best time. We did the Bear crawl and the zip lines. We also took a picnic lunch. The guides on both trips were amazing and great with out 7 year old. Out of everything we did this was his favorite. There was things for him to do while we waited for our time. We will be back.

This was our first time visiting and we will do this every time we visit the area. The swinging bridge is fun and the places for the kids (and adults) to have a fun time playing is nice too. The creek is so good when you are all hot and sweaty from the hiking.
There is only one restroom at the front of the bridge, so be sure and go before you begin the fun.

LONG bridge that bounces - very cool. This bridge ends at a place where you can build cairns and add a wish to the multitude already there... then ring the bell to let the forest elves grant your wish.

Me and my wife hiked both trails, one goes up the mountain to the falls [ a great place to cool off ] and the other is the river bank walk which goes by a pasture with lamas and a Bull with horns as big around as i've ever seen. The trail also goes through a little obstacle course that is alot of fun. They also have a zipline but we didn't try it. It's a great place to spend some time.

It was a little cold and rainy when we visited but it was very neat to see and walk across the bridge. They offer other activities, such as zip lining. I definitely want to visit in the summer.

First time we've visited FoxFire Mountain. Loved the bridge! Took lots of pictures, hiked the trail to the waterfall -which was amazing! We even had time to rest in the hamacs in front of the waterfall! We're planning a next visit to Zip Line! Great place to visit for an adventurous day!

It was $32 for one adult and two children. In addition they ask for donations as part of making a wish. The place is pretty and unique but way to expensive. The bridge, stacking rocks, and the wishes takes total maybe 30 minutes to do.
Tourist trap and we fell in.
We did not zip line so I cannot comment on that.
The hike was really steep and high up. If you are afraid of heights, or not into hiking I would say avoid it. It had been raining the day before we got here and the trails were very muddy and my daughter fell about three feet into walking the river trail and that was it.

I found a deal on DealChicken for this attraction that allowed our family of four to visit for $30. While it was a cool attraction, it probably wasn't worth the drive ALL the way out here (about 40 min from the parkway attractions) just for the bridge. It definitely wouldn't be worth paying full price just to cross the bridge. There were alot of people doing the ziplines, which looked pretty cool but just aren't our thing.

My husband and I and our two kids went here to walk the swinging bridge trail, but when we got there we also asked about some of the other activities. The bear crawler tour sounded fun, but it was $70 a person. Regardless of whether there is one person or five, the bear crawler will be rolling, so I think it should be $70 per CAR. We didn't zip line either; another $70 per person. To enjoy all the activities, you would have to spend well over $800 for a family of four.
The swinging bridge was nice, but not worth the $60 we paid for the hiking trail it provided. You can walk better and free trails in the National Park. We walked the trail to where it started to go up to the waterfall, and realized that it was almost straight up. We decided to take the trail to the river instead. The trail was nice, could have been better marked. We did see some llamas and Watusi; there was a small obstacle course (designed for small kids) along the trail. All in all, it took us about 40 minutes to walk it. Not worth it in my opinion.

Traveling with 2 small children, we would have loved to go Ziplining at FoxFire Mountain. Their runs looked amazing.
It was about 20 minutes outside of Pigeon Forge but it is easy to find with a pretty drive. FoxFire did a nice job of putting up signs to find them.

Foxfire Mtn Adventures was an awesome place to spend an afternoon! We zip lined the Canopy Tree line. It was great for the whole family even those afraid of heights (me!). Our guides were fun. It was an adventure I am glad I didn't chicken out on. For the price of the zip line we also did their ropes course and the kids did the rock climbing wall. The ropes course was challenging but. Dutiful amongst the trees. The guides there were also wonderful. I highly recommend this destination as part of a trip!

We took the trail up the hill across the bridge. There was also a place to make a wish and hang it. There was hammocks along the way. A great walk for exercise and peaceful walk. When you get to the top a beautiful waterfall. A great way to spend your day.

Loved the relaxation after the Zip Line Adventure, we just wish the water wasn't so low, but by no means was this the fault of Foxfire

Nice place for photos. My husband encouraged us to make it a fun stop with the kiddos over our Memorial Day vacation!

We planned our afternoon, drove almost an hour...following all the signs...arrived there, only to be told that they were closed for the day!!!
Couldn't you have put some signs up, to save us the time and the drive?
If you go, I would definitely call first before you make the trip. All we wanted to do was walk the swinging bridge. Kids were really looking forward to it. Could have done something else instead of wasting our afternoon.

Great hike. Enjoyed the swinging bridges. Very clean. Great value ($10 with pamphlet brochure discount)

The kids really enjoyed this! I was the bridge would've swung a little more than it did! But it was still lots of fun and good exercise! My favorite part was the wishing bridge! And I'd advise you to take on of the walking sticks at the bridge to use on the hike...

As my title states, the bridge is fun, but not really a swinging bridge. It's got 4 heavy steel cables holding it up so it doesn't "swing" much.

Well worth a walk over, if you visit the zip lines make sure you walk over the bridge as the view is fantastic

There is a small museum at the entrance to this bridge. You can make a wish. and you can learn about how swinging bridges help people around the world.

Took the family to this place figuring the bridge would be higher and longer. Took the hike to the falls. Warning take bug spray and hiking shoes. Also make sure you can handle the hike. Otherwise it was a good time it is a very well kept property.

Took this trip after gettibg agroupon, Swinging bridge was cool, kids liked it, took the long hike to waterfall after also, nice experience. Cool farm animals to watch & great lemonade.

This was probably the best thing we did in TN. We have 4 kids ages 6, 10, 12, 13. The 3 older zip lined and loved it! The next day we went on the hike. The 6 year old loved the obstacle course. The hike had the obstacle course, a long swinging bridge, some more small swinging bridges up in the trees, waterfall, and just a great trail all together. I thought it was a bit expensive but we also got to use the hiking trails for the rest of the week.

While I have to admit our large group shared a lot of laughs while hiking around the grounds, the cost of admission is far too high for the activity. Basically, what you get is a quirky little self-guided hike to a waterfall that may or may not be "falling". Depends on what time of the year you go. In December, no waterfall running. The rope swing bridge was neat to see and I felt safe crossing it. The grounds prior to crossing the bridge were creatively decorated and definitely sparked conversation. Still, it is most definitely a tourist trap and at far too expensive a price for the thrill, considering the zip lining is an extra cost over and above the hike and bridge crossing.
Cute place. My advice to owners? Lower admission price should be in their business plan for 2014.

I bought the Groupon for the swinging bridge "tour" for 15 for two people but admission is usually double. I thought this was a good deal until I found out you are really paying to hike in the woods. It is NOT guided but they do give you a map. The main swinging bridge goes over a small river or large stream and is the longest in North America. It is safe as it was only built in 2010 and holds 24,000 lbs. There are some other bridges in the tree canopies in one area and a small covered bridge to hang "wishes" on (there are tags in the small museum/info center you can write your wishes on). What was neat was that it looked like they have never taken down a "wish" so the ceiling of the covered bridge was full of rainbow color tags and it was cool to see what others had wished for. At this same place, there are walking sticks available for use on the hike (you can buy one later if you want too) and I HIGHLY recommend taking one as the rest of the trail is steep (think two small mountains) to the waterfall area. Disappointingly, the waterfall is turned off (they pump it) in winter even though it rarely freezes there and was over 70Β° that day and that is why I don't really feel this was worth even the discounted Groupon rate as next to the swinging bridge (which is right at the beginning of the hike), the waterfall is the main attraction and really the only one worth the rest of the hike up the mountain. The scenery was beautiful and the trail well maintained but it is very steep in two locations...the first steep climb is long...and there are no railings but many places where the trail edge is a sheer drop off/cliff edge. The hike is1/2 mile to the waterfall and back for a total of just a mile but you still need to be in good shape and have proper foot wear. The small museum/info center was neat and had some history involved but my kids weren't really interested in that but I did see that Annie Oakley's husband owned an old iron furnace that used to be on this site. They also offer zip lining but it was expensive compared to others in the area. They have a gift shop and animals on site: a rooster and three friendly lovable dogs you can meet and greet. They also have a barbecue restaurant that was not open in December and a treehouse that looks neat but you can't go into it. I would only spend the money if the National Park is too busy and crowded.

I just want to give a shout out to JOSH and DOUG the coolest guides ever!! They took such good care of me. Foxfire Is the place to go if you want to have a good time.

We had a little time to kill on our way to Asheville, NC and we were interested in the swinging bridge so we visited Foxfire Mountain. It was really cool to walk on the bridge. We watched various people zipline high over the trees (if we had more time we would have tried that.) One thing I really liked was writing a wish on a plastic tie that I then tied onto the chicken wire ceiling of another structure with about a thousand other wishes. You'll see it after you walk across the swinging bridge. On one of the structures there are flags from other countries and we tried to name them. We did okay. Since it was early in the season it wasn't crowded at all but I can imagine how packed it would be...

We had a lot of fun on the bridge. Thought it was going to be scary, but it wasn't. Breathtakingly beautiful. Loved it.

Alex have us a great adventure in the Near Crawler!! I had so much fun! My grandkids were laughing like crazy and we couldn't of mad a better driver. Thanks again Alex. Your friends fromOhio.ππ

The zipline was terrifyingly awesome. There was also plenty for the non-zipliners to enjoy while the crazies did their thing. highly recommend the Goliath! I was a first-timer and am now in love with the zip line.

We loved every aspect of Foxfire Mountain adventures, and enjoyed our walk over the amazing swinging bridge. This is a great bonus to your visit to the short hiking trail to the neaby waterfall. All activities were exciting and very family friendly.

Beautiful and fun for kids and adults. Even if you aren't into big adventure (ziplining, etc), go just for the bridge and light hiking.

If your family enjoys hiking, this is the place to go...It's very close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so it's a little extra 'something fun' to add to any vacations that you might be planning there...The kids loved it, and it didn't cost a fortune... There is so much to do here...Stop to see America's longest swinging bridge, you will be so glad you did...They also have ziplining! :)

Awesome experience crossing the bridge. The rocking back and forth was really cool. If you visit Foxfire Mountain don't forget to walk the bridge.

after zipping along the treetops we walked the bridge. beautiful view. this was included with the zip line.

Another breath taking adventure at FoxFire! Be brave and enjoy. Beautiful walking trails to take you to the bridge. You will want to just stand and enjoy the amazing beauty around you.

Staff are great! Highly recommend visiting Foxfire Mountain for zip-lining and checking out America's Longest Swinging Bridge.

Lot's of Fun, a new experience for our family. The more people walking the bridge, the more it swings. Nice setting, walk to waterfall not for the light at heart, a brick walk up the mountain trail.... for my part complicated since I didn't wear sneakers. (NEEDED)
Overall great Attraction.

This bridge was so awesome and the view is beautiful! Leave your worries behind at the entrance and cross over to a peaceful and fun hike.

There is a hike after crossing the bridge that is worth while. Be sure and make the hike up the mountain if you can and see the water fall. The hike is moderate since it is up hill and up steps most of the way. Even our young kids could do the hike. The swinging bridge is fun to cross and there are some other smaller bridges to go over and for the kids to play on.

This place is so cool! We came for the hike and suspension bridge and had a lovely time. The zip lining looked fun, but we had already done it somewhere else that week. The whole atmosphere and energy of the place was so cool, rustic buildings and cool art, stray dogs lounging around, llamas. It was truly a hidden gem. Not touristy or cheesy at all.

This is a fun walk to the bridge, and you can continue hiking up the mountain and see the waterfall.

It's a trail and a very cool bridge. Worth the money? Not really. We had done tons of free trails and such the two days prior, and those were just as good. I gave it four stars because it was really cool! Five stars would have been given if it was cheaper. There is a waterfall at the end. Hammocks too. It's a good workout of a trail! My 66 year old mother...and out of shape me...did it fine.

I should have read up more on this bridge because I didn't realize it is privately owned so therefore a high price tag just to walk the bridge.

Had a great time with the bridges and needed the quiet peaceful walk after the wonderful zip lines... Enjoyed the scenery.

Even though this was a bit of a drive from my cabin......it was worth it. It was sooooooo peaceful and serene!! We were given plenty of information before our walk in the woods and were told it would be an hour hike. We really took our time and made it last 2 hours. It was that relaxing & away from the chaos & stress of everyday life!!! Will definitely recommend this to others if you are looking for tranquility!!!

The suspension bridge at Foxfire Mountain is, first of all, a well-built structure that feels 100% safe as it spans a gorge, creek and heavily wooded hills. It leads to a hiking trail that ends at a waterfall. It also features a series of smaller rope walkways and platforms amongst the trees. It's a nice walk for communing with nature and enjoying the great outdoors.

This is not just a bridge tour. Once you cross the bridge there are other things to do including an awesome hike, wishing bridge, and waterfalls. All in all it was a great hike and there were a lot of activities to keep the kids entertained. I would recommend adding this to your trip!!

Tim and Dylan did a great job. I was extremely nervous to do the Goliath zip line with my 14 yr old. We both loved it. 500 feet in the air. Great views. Very safe. Highly recommended.

We went for the Bear crawler adventure and what a treat. The property is lovely and relaxing. We walked around for about 45 min before our atv reservation. So fun to watch the people zip lining over head.
Joey was our driver and made it a fun adventure. We stopped at several locations on the trail and pointed out all types of interesting plants and trees. Very interesting. And we went mudding at the end. So fun.
It is very rough riding in some places and you have to hold on. Not just a passive ride. Not scary but you need to know it's not just a scenic ride.
Would do it again on a heartbeat.

The hike up Prosperity Mountain was great. Our tour guide ROCKED! I am terrible with names but, she had colorful hair and jokingly called herself Rainbow Brite. She made us feel right at home even though we travelled from the Big City (Chicago) to get there, our transition to the great outdoors went smoothly. If you want adrenaline screams or a tranquil moment to take in all the beautiful surroundings or both, I recommend this place.

I'm pulling a few sentences from another review of this area since this topic is specifically about the Swinging Bridge.
This is a self-guided walking tour on a dirt path. If you are a "city slicker" then you'll probably love this, but to a country boy like me that now lives in the city, this is just another walk in the woods and nothing much to talk about.
The first part of this experience is a cute little "wishing bridge" typical of what exist in Asian countries where you write your wish on a sliver of plastic like ribbon and tie it to the ceiling of the covered wishing bridge. Then ring the gong to alert the gnomes and grant your wish. There were probably a thousand such wishes tied to the bridge from prior guests.
Then there was a nice walk across a long swinging bridge (slightly swings, not scary). It is mostly a scenic walk through the woods that ends at a waterfall. There's nice fresh air and takes about 45 minutes at a slow pace. Even for the more elderly person in our group, it was not a challenge to walk the whole length of the course although there are some parts that are elevated for 50 feet or more. If there is recent rain, then it could be a little slippery because of the dirt path, not paved.
We would have preferred to have a different (loop) path on the way back down so there would be a different view than the same one seen when going up.
If your travel budget is tight, then you might want to skip this event as the 3 of us judged it to be over-priced at $20 for just a short nature walk that you can do at other places. Just our opinion, but we thought it should have been more like $10 and that is the reason for our "poor" rating. If the price was more in line with what other reviewers and we expect, then it would be a "very good" rating.
To note, the people at the desk were friendly and helpful. I hope this family-run set of attractions succeed in the future as we liked the people. Some changes need to be made with this attraction however... mainly the price and making the walkway areas more secure and wider.

Our family had a wonderful visit to Foxfire Mountain! We were thrilled to find an outdoorsy adventure that was perfect for all aged children. Even my 3 year old could safely run across the impressive swinging bridge. The details of the little village were wonderful, and we loved the "wish" theme that was carried throughout the experience. The hike to the waterfall was a little muddy and steep, but it was a nice distance to do with children and there were interesting things to see along the way. I think my daughter summed it up best, when she wrote on her hanging wish, "I wish we can come back here sometime soon".

This is a family owned property which is well kept and run. We originally were headed here for the hike to the swinging bridge and waterfall. We found out they also offered Bear Crawl tours which is a must if you don't mind getting bounced around. These little machines were amazing with a 180 degree turning radius which the driver takes full advantage of as he twists and turns through the wooded mountain trail. We made a couple of stops where you can climb try to climb a 70ft high cliff in an iron mine and then view the falls. We are so glad we took this tour! The hike to the falls isn't extreme but can be rough in spots but they have benches along the way if you'd like to rest. They also have ziplining which looked fun. Great pieces of art on the property, a small museum, nice general store and a great big front porch where you can sit while waiting for your tour. Also some fun activities to keep kids as well as adults occupied while waiting such as corn hole and the biggest game of Jenga I've ever seen! Also roaming the property are chickens and a rooster and at least 4 lazy and friendly dogs. We had a great time here!

Was a nice view from the bridge and pretty cool sights all around! Could see people zip lining way above you overtop the bridge threw the forest!

This bridge is located at the Foxfire Mountain Zip Line park. At the other end of the swinging bridge is Prosperity Mountain. You have to go through a little building that gives a history and information about the site. You can write down your wish on a strip and take it across the bridge to Prosperity mountain and post it there. Build a rock cairn for good luck. These are such wonderful traditions for this property.

We did not zip line so we paid $25 each for a family of 4 to spend a few hours hiking. The swinging bridge is fun. Great photo op with a decent view. The hike to the falls is definitely moderate, not for strollers, and has numerous steep inclines. Its not just a stroll in the woods. We were able to enjoy ourselves and loved watching the zip liners buzz (literally) overhead.
This is private property so everything is maintained by Firefox. They do not have breathtaking views overlooking the Smokies. You are going to pay to hike. However, we did not have to share the trail with 1,000s of visitors and wait forever in line. Everything is well maintained and was a great getaway from the busyness in the area. We have paid a lot more to see a lot less.
Make sure you check out the cider barn too!
The first pic is the canopy walk; not the swinging bridge. The second is from the river trail looking up at the swinging bridge.

We took a walk on the bridge and trails while waiting for our bear crawl. nice way to look around and just take a break from all the excitement after zip lining.

During our recent visit to the Smoky's, we scheduled a trip to Foxfire Mountain to Zipline. While we were there we decided to try out the swinging bridge, it was really relaxing to walk through the small museum and see the history behind Foxfire. I would recommend this place to anyone. This will become a tradition for years to come.

Fun for the kids and really safe! Just another piece of the whole day at Foxfire Mountain Adventures!

My guide's Tim and Caleb where awesome and made it very relaxing and fun!
Absolutely loved it and worth the money! Did the zip line canopy tour with my 2 boys. $300 included 5 zip lines that was well worth the money. One was 150ft in air at 55 mph. It also included lunch which was smoked pulled pork sandwiches, smoked on site. Really really good! All trails, rope bridge and obstacle course. Lasted about 4 hours. 2.5 hours on zip line alone. Will definitely go back! Great service too, very friendly. There is also more to do like white water rafting and UTV trails

This is such an amazing place to visit. You can spend the whole day at Foxfire mtn. The view from the bridge is truley amazing and it sorta cleanses you. Once you cross the bridge you can visit the make a wish house and place your wish with all the others and just take the time to capture all the amazing beauty.
We did the canopy zip line tour and "hiked"on the trail. The hike is perfect for families with children or beginners. It's pretty easy and dosent take very long. There are a couple little foot bridges and a smaller swinging bridge close to the top of the waterfall. They offer several different adventures. They have two different zip line tours, canopy and high adventure. Next time we will do high adventure. The guides (Tim & Christian) were very friendly and took their time to explain everything and answered any questions along the way. They also offer an ATV adventure and water rafting. On the grounds there is a nice climbing wall with about 5 different courses. You could easily spend all day there either participating in adventures or just exploring the grounds. Well worth the drive and the money. We will definitely be going back again.
