EXCELLENT visit for both our stay in Villa and all dining experiences. My Hubby surprised me with a birthday getaway. How very nice and relaxing and memorable!
The Crush House dinner and The Bistro were both excellent. Super convenient that you have options onsite. Loved the Italian Wedding Soup and fresh cocktails from the bar. The wine flight and bite was fun too! Suggestion to management, it might be nice to consider in-house guests priority on reservations over outside (non-villa) guests as your dinner times and tastings were booked by non-villa guests and in-house guests didn't seem to get any preferential treatment. Cost of villa is expensive so enjoy time onsite. Very tastefully decorated although the lighting in bathroom was too dark for applying make up! Would love to return with our wine group for a two-night stay.

We celebrated a retirement with an overnight stay at the charming Casa and had an amazing time, took home wonderful memories and breathtaking pictures.
We love this hidden gem and were extremely impressed with the first class treatment we received from the friendly staff, to the pristine rooms, the complimentary beverages and the delicious continental breakfast added to the fabulous experience.
We strolled the stunning grounds, indulged in some fabulous food and delicious wine at both the Crush House and Bistro, played bocce and met some wonderful people throughout our visit and especially while relaxing outdoors by an evening fire. I cannot rave enough about our stay at Gervasi Vineyards! This place is a class act all the way!
💚🤍❤️

Stayed in a villa with friends for a few days for a perfect winter retreat. The accommodations are wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Fabulous dinners with the Gervasi wines were a highlight!

We went to visit as it is where our daughter is going to get married next year. When we drive in it was like arriving in Italy the space with weeping willows and Villas was enchanting. We had a good dinner at The Crush walked around taking in the views. Looking forward to the wedding

Wonderful atmosphere and delicious dinner. Too many choices to choose from. They all sounded delicious. The waiter will even suggest wines to go with what you select. Cannot wait to go again

We rented the Sorento Villa for our yearly girls trip. The amenities could not have been better. The Gervasi team could have not been more helpful and accommodating. From our reception to our check out was flawless. Pam Royer was very informative on events and venues on the property to plan the perfect girls weekend. We had a planned lunch in the Tower Room at the Crush House before our check in. The food and signature drinks were top notch. The villa check in was flawless and the view from our villa was breathtaking. We all felt very comfortable with the spacious accommodations. The Villa staff was fantastic. We had a lovely evening with dinner and lots of wine tasting. The breakfast in the morning was delicious!!!! You selected your breakfast choice the night before and it was served in a vintage wooden wine box! The Gervasi signature coffee was a great morning blend. We shuttled to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after breakfast and returned to the Gervasi property just in time for a tour of the winery. We did a food and wine pairing. I highly recommend the tour. We visited the cozy Marketplace and purchased Gervasi wines!!! That evening we had an Italian dinner in our Villa! The Still House had a band in the evening from 7-10 too!!! Thank you Gervasi for an unforgettable Girls weekend!!! Everyone said it was our best one yet!!! I must say it will be hard to top!!!!

With the virus canceling three trips already this year and the canceling of a 70th birthday party, I began to look for somewhere small but special to take my husband. I saw their ad in a travel magazine and investigated the reviews and Etc. I was not disappointed. This is a 5 1/2 hour drive for us so no plane was needed. The people, the grounds, the rooms, and the food & drink were all great. I felt comfortable and not worried about the virus. There was social distancing, masks, and disinfectant everywhere. The breakfast box was a fun change of pace as well. We will go back.

As soon as you drive through the iron arch, you feel transported from the city into a resort atmosphere. Each venue has its own tranquil vibe and elegance. The winding walking path guides you by swans gliding on the pond and vineyards. The true feel of Italy comes alive with people playing bocce ball and the village you pass in the center. Well done, I say, well done.

I took my husband to Gervasi for his 50th Birthday and it was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Villas, which truly felt like Italy. The grounds are beautiful , the food is delicious and the staff extremely friendly! The general manager, Frank, personally welcomes you and wants to be sure your stay is perfect. He was so kind and friendly and truly cares to make certain your stay is an amazing experience. This place is truly a must see! It was a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to go back! Gervasi is truly a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio!

After a long day at the football hall of fame, my husband and I decided to visit this vineyard. We ate at the Bistro and thought the service and food was incredible, wine was just as amazing! Stop by if your in the area, so glad we did!

I joined former high school classmates for lunch at Gervasi. The surroundings are beautiful- it appears to be a popular spot for weddings- and we had a perfect day to sit outside. Service was a bit slow- they were training new people- but we didn't mind. There were plenty of topics for conversation. It also meant that we weren't rushed out, either.
The menu is varied. I had the Sicilian salad and a glass of wine. The pizzas looked good- fresh with a thin, crispy crust. They also had a wide variety of sandwiches.
There were even extensive walking paths we enjoyed after lunch!

We've been going to Gervasi since they opened and it only keeps getting more impressive. If you live in Ohio and haven't been here yet, you're missing someplace special. We call it "world class" as the service, ambiance, setting, food quality are second to none. Even their prices are more than reasonable by today's standards. Once you're here, you'd never think you were still in Ohio it's that special. Don't miss Gervasi given the chance!!!

Booked this as a birthday getaway for my super better half and me. As i was a little late to the game, couldn’t find a weekend reservation, so decided just to stay Sun-Tues. That meant not quite everything was open (Piazza and Marketplace), but it also meant a lot fewer people! The property is meticulously manicured, and somewhat shocking when you see the entrance smack dab in a residential area. Once you’re through the gateway, you truly have a feeling of being separated from the rest of the world in the BEST ways possible.
Check-in was very easy and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a villa room, and while yes it’s “pricey” it’s very well-worth it! The villas have four rooms that share a common space with tables, sofa, fireplace, and patio. Our king suite was, how to say it politely, FARGING AWESOME! Loved the attention to details throughout, including heated floors and luxurious decor. Bed was super comfy. Actually slept for 8 hours straight for the first time in a bazillion years. Continental breakfast is delivered at a time YOU choose, and is much better than the typical stale bagel and banana.
We were able to dine at the Bistro and Crush House. Service and food were both outstanding. I’ve seen some reviews knocking the food, and maybe we aren’t picky, but we both loved everything! Servers were friendly and engaging, and the pricing was well-within reason in my humble opinion.
We loved our stay so much we are looking forward to returning and renting an entire villa to share with friends! This is a great little escape that isn’t far from home!

This place is a true Gem!
Try the Amarone or Barolo wines.
They also had a great menu that is always updated.

Leaving to others comments about accommodations, amenities and dining options (all excellent, by the way), my complements focus on the Gervasi staff, one of the most accomplished and helpful I have come across. From our initial inquiries about room availability through an unexpected last minute need to alter our reservations to our reception desk welcome, conversation with the Crush House sommelier and the wine and menu recommendations of our Bistro waiter, we were always impressed by the friendly, competent and guest-focused nature of our interactions. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working within the Gervasi environment, and all were focused on meeting our needs and requests without hesitation, intent on making our stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Consequently, even in midwinter, Gervasi is a very special place, a retreat from the outside world made especially relaxing by the caring and well-versed staff catering to our every whim. Bravo!

A real find in Canton/Akron area. An absolutely gorgeous winery and restaurant with villas to stay at. We were there for a special concert in the pavilion and had dinner before at the Bistro restaurant. One of the most beautiful wineries I have been to in the US. Worth a special trip to visit for a couple hours and have lunch on the patio with a glass of wine.

Gervasis restaurant was spectacular. First course was snacks and drinks at sports bar. Then a leisure walk through the vineyards and around the lake. So breathtaking and relaxing. Next we played a couple of the games left on the lawn battling against each other for the title. How exciting and fun. We then moved to the big house for dinner. Every morsel took away the delight of the one before. Exceptionally tasteful. We then went to the patio to listen to music and have some of Gervasis distinct wine. My partner who doesn't like wine found two that were to his liking. We ended the evening with a trip to the winestore on sight and bought quite a few bottles for ourselves and gifts. The evening was memorable from the first martini and cheese plate to the dinner to the pizza snacks and fire. What a grand time.

Went there with a party of 16 to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday and was told on the phone "oh that will be no problem seating you at that time" about an hour later we finally were able to put some tables together on the patio, a little chilly but we survived. Another hour and we finally started to get our food orders. For the most part the food was ok, wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but i might go back and try a different dish the chicken was dry. Service was ok considering it was a party of 16.

Had an evening dinner program here last night and was extremely pleased with everything, from the service to the meal as well as price. I would highly recommend the Gervasi Crush House to anyone

This is a beautiful place. It's very special and its a place you will never forget and want to go back.

Came here for a little anniversary getaway and this place was perfect. Our room was cozy and the fireplace was perfect. The grounds were very pretty and we are talking about going back in the summer so we can enjoy them more. We ate at the Bistro and had the best meals we have ever had! It's pretty expensive all and all but I am glad we visited! This is the perfect place for a little weekend trip!

First visit to this outstanding venue in Canton. Delicious food and exceptional service is what awaits you. Salads were very good with some nice choices and a willingness to modify based on some dietary needs. The service attitude was “what can we do for you” to help you enjoy your experience.
The ladies in our party hard the halibut which was baked with a sweet potato purée which they raved about. A special pasta with shrimp was offered and when the diner asked if a chicken substitute would work there was no hesitate to accommodate and he said it was delicious. My choice was a baked chicken breast atop a very light handmade pasta that was exceptional, tiny tomatoes and basil were also part of the dish, fabulous to say the least.
A fantastic evening at a really unique site, must do when in Canton.

Wanted to celebrate our anniversary at someplace special. We didn't have time to go to Italy so chose Gervasi Vineyards in close by Canton Ohio. Totally surprised about this very nice property. I was able to make hotel, dinner reservations and winery tour with one simple call to their reservation center. Check in was a simple. We had a private winery tour with Mike and a wine tasting as well with him. He was great. We stayed in a beautiful room at the Casa. These rooms have a Tuscan decor, fireplace, heated towel bar, patio, and breakfast included delivered to your door. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Bistro. What a great getaway.

Great place to stay, beautiful grounds to walk and enjoy,
Restaurants and and s nice gift shop all with in leisurely walking distance.
Great food and wine.
Bed and breakfast type rooms.
Don't miss the chance to stay here.
A little on the expensive side but worth it.

Recently had lunch at the Crush House. We all though the glass of wine we ordered with our meal although good was a very short pour at $9.75 a glass.

OMGOSH! WHO knew you could go to an Italian villa in OHIO!!???! We ate in the Crush House-service/food/drinks all were spectacular. Will so return here again! Also enjoyed the Cigar and bourbon bar’s casual “speak easy” vibe. The live music was amazing!! Can’t wait to come back and really experience all they have to offer!!

This is a definite must see property. The buildings, landscape and interior design are phenomenal! There a several food options and different things going on year-round. Check out the website and make reservations ahead of time!

Perfect setting for our anniversary trip. The villa Sorrento was so beautiful. Heated towels, heated floor, tv in bathroom !,were a few of the extra special effects!
We ate at the Crush house and it was delicious! I had a pasta, chicken dish, delicious! And my husband had the largest pork chop ever! He said it was one of the most delicious also!! Our breakfast delivered to our door was so delicious and so beautifully presented. Thank you Gervasi for a perfect anniversary celebration.

Spent a girls weekend in one of the villas and loved every minute. The ambience, service, food and wine we're outstanding. Did a food and wine pairing that was great fun and the next day did a tour of their winery. You can't go wrong at this facility. It's my go to place for a quick Italian fix.

I recently celebrated two birthdays with friends at the Crush House at Gervasi. The drinks were wonderful, as well as the food. I had a Moscow mule both times and my friends tried the homemade sangria and the peach bellinis. We tried the calamari appetizer and it was crunchy and delicious with a tasty sauce on the side. I had a lovely chicken wrap and others had salads and pasta. Everyone was delighted with their meal and our servers were outstanding. It was perfect for celebrating, as they allowed us to bring in a cake and provided plates and forks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, upstairs seating, two bars (upstairs and downstairs) and handicap access. Prices are in all ranges, so be sure to ask for the price of specials or specialty drinks if you have a cost concern. I saw no children there either afternoon, but I am sure they are welcome. The interior is industrial chic, so it can get loud if the crowd is large. It is a terrific place for a celebration, groups, couples or singles.

Being on this property really does feel like being in Italy. They commit to the theme all the way down to being welcomed for dinner at the Bistro with a "Ciao!"
We stayed in the Casa for our anniversary. The rooms look exactly like the photos online so no need to share anymore. I did notice other cool features like the custom sinks and tiles, the Still house looks like an old church inside but operates as a coffeehouse by day and a speak easy at night. The food here is limited. I only had the quiche Lorraine for breakfast and it was the best I've had and I've eaten it in France. And the coffee...if I lived near this place I would never visit a certain chain coffee shop again for a Mocha or flat white.
We had reservations for dinner at the Bistro. The waitstaff was very friendly and helped pair wine to our meal choice. They even shared the history of the building with us. If you don't know this, there is property was once a sawmill and shoot out with a bank robber took place where the Bistro currently stands. Our food was pretty good. I chose the scallops. I've never had tomato jam before and enjoyed it. My real favorite was brushetta appetizer. My spouse hates tomatoes and actually liked this because of how it was prepared.
Because we were staying in the Casa we were able to indulge in a couples massage. (In the Villa you have to do them separately because there isn't enough space for 2 tables). It was enjoyable but I think my spouse had a better massage. I probably should have asked for more pressure or something. They were very friendly though and live locally so had good suggestions for things to do off site.
Other reviewers were upset because once you check into your room they do not come to clean it until you leave. They will bring you whatever items you need such as more clean towels, bottled water, etc. We stayed for a week because we had never stayed at a winery before. Now we know better. For this one, I would say stay no more than 3 days. Try to get there early. Hit up the Crush House and sit at the bar and order a flight of wines, take notes of what you like and buy them to take home (bottle service fees if they open it), if you buy 12 bottles you get a discount. At the Still House you can do flights of spirits. You can stop at the Marketplace to buy wine, spirits, liqueurs and other merch. Make sure to check the hours ahead of time so you don't miss out.

Loved every minute of our stay here. Stayed in the Villas for a recent girls trip. Everything from the room, wine tasting, live music to dinner was top notch. Wines were excellent and their coffee is amazing! Heated floors and towel bars in the room made it extra special. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was delivered in a charming wood box. A gem for sure, tucked away in Canton. Will definitely come back and bring my hubby next time.

We stayed one night in late April and two nights in early May on our drive from the upper Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic and back. Lesson learned—I think—if you expect a hassle free good night’s sleep, don’t book at a property that is a likely location for a group meeting to renew the sorts of bonds created during days at college. They can be noisy and seemingly unaware that they share a building with others. This is exacerbated by the layout of the villas, as they feature a common area designed to facilitate group socializing whose walls seem rather thin. (One of the groups was so loud that we requested relocation. The staff was very obliging. We were given a room in a different villa.) We were there on a Wednesday, and a Tuesday and Wednesday—not a weekend.
In addition, the meals are a little uneven. The complimentary breakfasts are very good. The carry out food from the Crush House, an on-site restaurant, ranges from good to merely okay.
Pretty much everything else was splendid. The grounds are beautiful, the villas and their rooms are beautiful. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and professional.

My hubby and I enjoyed a delicious meal at The Bistro. The service was excellent and the food was expertly prepared!

Hello all. After having escaped NYC a few years back and now surviving in Pittsburgh my wife and I wanted a close getaway and decided on Gervasi. Who knew Ohio had that many winery’s. So we arrived not really expecting any ring other than a relaxing time and some food wine. Well Gervasi did not disappoint. First they followed strict covid rules (everyone had masks and practiced distancing). Ben met us and showed us a video of the grounds and made us dinner and breakfast reservations. He was awesome and truly loved his work. Then we had a room in the Casa. Bed was comfy and room was large. The only issue we had was the hair dryer was broken (but they relaxed it within 10 mins). Things happen. The food and the wine. The bistro staff was very friendly and the food was amazing (I had pasta with shrimp and scallops). Amazing. No one there could answer where they got their scallops and shrimp from?? Kudos to the chef but I’d still like to know the secret stash location. (Being from NY and having lived in Boston and along many east coast states (their seafood dish from Ohio was up there with those known seafood location). It was Jan when we went so we didn’t get out to enjoy the grounds as much but it looked beautiful. The store had a lot of goodies and gifts that we bought for people back home. Overall it was a 5 star stay for us and we are going back in March.

Stayed at Gervasi for a high in our way through the area. We had one of the villa rooms which was spacious and beautiful. The live entertainment that night in the Bistro was enjoyable. The food, both at the Bistro and Crush House was excellent, specifically the hummus and pulled pork nachos. The staff seemed very young and less knowledge about wine but enthusiastic about their jobs and trying to help…the wine slushy was described as “kind of like a gas station slushy but with wine, you know?” We didn’t fine a fine we really enjoyed; we asked for a wine from exclusive grapes but was told all the wines were blends, and none of the stood out. Overall, it was a fun and beautiful place.

I can not say enough about the amazing customer service we received during my daughter’s wedding. The food was outstanding, the customer service was impeccable and the venue is gorgeous. I highly recommend this facility for your special day. They truly deserve more than 5 stars!

The property is fabulous and the service in all areas is fabulous!
The breakfasts delivered to your private villa are delicious and perfectly sized and prepared. Much better than breakfasts at hotels!
The wedding and reception we attended was spectacular. The staff was so attentive and accommodating.
We drove 6+ hours to get to the vineyards, checked in, and were so blown away by the beauty of our villa we decided to dine at the Bistro on-site instead of driving anywhere else. The service was friendly and efficient, but the atmosphere (although in a beautiful building) was more like a middle of the road restaurant. Food was great! But don’t expect a fine dining experience. It’s not.
Wines are only wines from the premises because that’s how they should direct people to their wines...and you should be able to find a delicious one from their list.
The property is fabulous! Service is fabulous! Food is delicious! Just don’t expect dinner in the Bistro to be fine dining.
We loved our stay and will certainly return!

Such a beautiful setting! A wonderful venue to visit during my trip back home! The pairings tour was very informative, with a delightful food and wine tasting at the end. (Reservations are required for the pairings tours, so call ahead!)
The market had many unique souvenirs, while the piazza provided delicious snacks and more wine. A destination wedding was taking place during our trip, but it was not disruptive at all. I will keep this place in mind for future special events.
Gervasi also provides housing (The Villas) and a first-class restaurant (The Bistro).
Definitely an enjoyable afternoon!

We had a great experience with our first visit to Gervasi Winery. From the welcome at check in to delivery of breakfast in a winebox, everything and everybody was wonderful. The villas and grounds were beautiful...even in winter.
I feel with had the whole experience...wine tour, drinks and appetizers at the Crush House, dinner at the Bistro, and overnight in a villa. From start to finish, all the staff was pleasant and very helpful. Just delightful! The room held all those little details that show the quality of the Inn.
If there was one suggestion, it would be to skip the wine tour. Although the guide was friendly, the tour covers about 20 feet---not much to see--more of a lecture than anything else. Even the tasting was pretty thin for what you paid for it. Overall, this was a small issue in an otherwise exquisite stay.

We toured the winery and did wine tasting. The facility is very impressive. The wine is reasonably priced and very good. Several varieties available. A definite stop in this area.

I love this place! Not only because it's beautiful scenery but because it's great food and amazing drinks. I love third gluten free menu, there are so many options to choose from. If you haven't tried it out do so soon! Sit out on the patio enjoy the scenery and some wine. The service is great and I will be back for sure!

I was on a tour of presidential homes and went to the Villa for a private dinner after a tour of the winery. The food and service were excellent in this beautiful environment. After a salad, we had a choice of salmon or pork. I chose the salmon and it was delicious. The white wine (one of their own) I had with it was also very good and paired well with their salmon. Particularly outstanding was the chocolate mousse, which may have been the best I ever tasted. The service was attentive but not overbearing. In all, I had an excellent culinary experience and highly recommend this place.

I stopped in to get a look at the vineyard and try some of the wines. Did the wine tasting and really enjoyed it. The server was really informative and knew a lot about the wines. I ended up purchasing a bottle of their Pinot Grigio. After the tasting I walked about the property and visited the general store. I could see spending an afternoon there. It was really relaxing and quite the oasis. Well worth the visit!!!

Atmosphere...food...service !Nothing like it. Skip your trip to Cali and pull up a chair on the Piazza. Enjoy a slice or two of a wood fired pizza, sip the sangria and put your worries on hold!

We went on a Wednesday evening to the Gervasi Bistro. We had a reservation, but had to wait anyway because they were running behind in clearing tables. Our food was excellent but the service was slow. Our server had too many tables to manage, so we were often waiting on her to bring drinks and the check, which seemed to take forever. Ambiance is nice, but lights were so low I needed to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. We had a wine tasting at the Crush House before we went to dinner, and we really enjoyed the wine, but we were disappointed with the Bistro.

We have been several times and each is a very pleasant experience. The setting makes the evening. The food is good ( not great ) but the environment and the wine make up for that :-) We had a 50th anniversary party in a private room and the service and entire experience was amazing !!!! Highly recommended.

Wasn’t able to stay at the resort so decided to have dinner there while in Canton. Our meals at The Crush House were fabulous! We also stopped at the Marketplace. Highly recommend a stop at Gervasi Vineyard.

I was so excited for my mom slc her friends to experience the Wine Tasting Event for her 70th birthday. Many of my friends have visited and loved it, so I thought I'd give it a try.
Unfortunately our party was not able to enjoy the Tasting Experience. The group was traveling through the snowstorm from Cleveland and admittingly were late. We acknowledge that. However, the person told us that perhaps we could use the tickets tomorrow(we appreciated his offer, but we have things already scheduled so we won't be able to go.
I called this morning to inquire about additional days/times when our group might be able to return to use the tickets since it was a purchase of $250. Perhaps a credit or a gift card. Essentially this is what he offered last night.
However, the young lady who answered the phone today simply read me their no-return policy. Of course, I read that policy when I purchased the tickets and understood it perfectly. However, due to the weather and a group of eight 70 year old women trying to get from Cleveland to Canton to celebrate, I would have thought the establishment would have been more customer friendly and at least provided a reasonable solution. They left Cleveland at 3:30 pm for a 6:30 pm reservation and were still late. That speaks to the weather and traffic.
Since Gervasi/Cave it prides itself on its customer service, I expected more from them. I was not asking for a refund at all, just a way to use the month that I have already paid to this winery.
The group did fine at the Crush House which was fine, however, due to the poor customer service and lack of compassion, I do not recommend. When I grew up in NE Ohio, every establishment always understood that horrible weather and went out of their way to try to accommodate people delayed because of it. I will be posting this review on all platforms available.

What a true Italian experience. We loved the Villas (Sorrento) and the Still House! Can’t wait to try the new hotel. Wine is reasonable price and good selection. The villas have a great breakfast selection, heated towel bar and fireplace. Love!

You truly do not feel that you are anywhere near a city but out in wine country. Beautiful grounds; always amazing customer service.

This is a stunning place. Gorgeous view, great wine, Tuscan inspired grounds. You can spend a whole day here. Perfect wedding location.

I just love all of the 3 restaurant at Gervasi. You can go and pick out a relaxing outing at the Bistro's patio, or a casual atmosphere at the Crush House or a fancy dinner at the Bistro. The lawns and lake are a great view; and there is also a walking path around the property.

Our daughter and son in law had a get together for her 30th birthday last night. They and friends rented a Villa and we went to Bistro for her birthday dinner. We had a large party and had two tables together in the lower area. One other group was down there and everyone was enjoying the get together until the assistant manager started showing up. He came over twice to our table to ask our daughter and her friend not to talk to her mother and go back to the other table to sit down. In addition he came down twice to our larger groups table to tell them to be quiet when they were singing happy birthday. The wait staff brought cupcakes and knew it was a birthday celebration. The other group down there sang with us. The last time we were at the Bistro a few weeks ago we had a very small group and there was birthday singing at another table on the main floor. Were they asked to be quiet? The assistant manager showed no concern about how we felt and did not ask us or explain why he was bothering the folks. This was a family and friends gathering. We wore our masks to our tables and when we left. We followed the rules and we stayed within our group for the dinner. Worse than all this and the reason why I’m writing this review is that I called the Bistro this morning and left a voice mail message for the general manager to call me and no one has bothered to call back to talk through this poor treatment. Gervasi is a nice place and the food is good but beware their poor customer service leadership. It stinks.

we had a cousin's reunion at the winery and found it to be a relaxed place where we could talk and catch up on everyone's activities in the past year and enjoy the beautiful scenery

Very nice place. Great service. Does well with the covid pandemic. It can get too busy at times besides that nice times.

great food and wine also a fair selection of beers It is a little pricey but worth the trip great patio and view of lake Places for kids to play

Gervasi Vineyard is the most upscale winery I have ever visited in Ohio. The grounds the restaurants and the details are well looked after

Be sure to check and see what is open before you visit. We visited on a Sunday and only one building was open and it was packed. It was the only day/night that we were there so we spent a lot of money on a villa and didn't get to experience much of anything. The restaurant manager was very nice and tried to accommodate us, but there was only so much he could do. Very disappointed for a long-awaited visit.

This place was incredible. A gorgeous cabin with scrumptious food and and an impressive list of wines made on site. The pasta was incredible. 10/10.

Food was great no issues with food. Ice wine was great and sweet. Will buy again! The waitress was great knowledgeable about wines. The helping staff seemed off tonight. Never revived bread until asking toward end of meal. They were hard to get a hold of could not find the Parmesan cheese or pepper for salads not sure why? Overall meal was good.

Crush House is a Great place to eat! Atmosphere so neat! Friendly workers and great food! Very unique and quaint! Marketplace is a fun boutique shop! The whole vineyard is gorgeous!

Beautiful outdoor location, relaxed atmosphere 1 of the few places that you can dine or drink outside and not be in a parking lot

What a beautiful getaway! We stayed one night in the villas and felt it was worth every penny! Heated towel rack, room fireplace, tiled shower, bathroom tv, breakfast delivery and a fully stocked refrigerator! I felt very pampered! This is a very romantic place to go for a special occasion with a loved one. We sat on the patio outside the bistro with our wine and listened to the live music. There is a good variety of wines to choose from, different than we are used to from the Great Lakes area. We also took our wine down by the pond and sat in chairs, played bocce and ate at both the bistro and crush house. We saw many large families with small children on the lawn. It was very strange that the bistro is closed on mondays and the crush house was closed on sundays. Why not be open 7 days?! After we had a wonderful night and stayed overnight, there is really not much left to do the next day. We told ourselves to bring golf clubs next time and maybe try a golf course nearby. We can't wait to go back!

BF surprised me with a trip here for our anniversary. We drove the 3.5 hour trip from Dearborn, Michigan and made it just in time for their 2pm winery tour. They give you a bit of background on the vineyard and then a tour of where they make the wine. I enjoyed the tour because they really got into the nitty gritty of how wine is made and all the steps it takes. It was really interesting learning about all the steps and processes.
After the tour, we checked into our room, dropped off our stuff, and took a walk around the grounds. It was so pretty and peaceful. I'm sure the lake and the outdoor area would look absolutely gorgeous in the spring/summer time.
We had a Suite in one of their villas and I cannot rave enough about the place. There was a fireplace in each suite. My favorite part was the bathroom - it was absolutely gorgeous and huge! Each villa had a shared living room, which was really nice. Coffee, soft drinks, and water was always available in the kitchenette area in the living room. They even had my favorite Italian peach tea! A Continental Italian Breakfast is included and is sent to your villa's living area in the AM in a wooden wine box.
We had an in-suite massage and it was absolutely amazing. I felt super relaxed afterwards and really enjoyed it.
Dinner that night was at the Bistro, which was really delicious. The space itself, which used to be a barn, was beautiful. We had a 3-wine flight at the bar area while waiting for our table. I really like that you can choose whichever wines that you want and it's only $8! I really enjoyed the Moscato and the Riesling. For dinner, we split the cheese and meats board and each ordered the Filet Mignon. They even asked that we check that our filet was cooked to our desired level before leaving the table! For dessert, we split a bread pudding, which was phenomenal. Skip the gelato - get the bread pudding!
I also tried their Reserve wines throughout the trip and they were absolutely delicious. I picked up two bottles to take home with me.
All in all, I had a lovely weekend trip at Gervasi. Shout out to the lovely staff at the Crush House for breaking up my big bills for change and sending me off to my suite with a glass of wine to go!

We had a wonderful overnight stay in a Casa room! The room was beautiful and well appointed. We ate and drank at each venue, and everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we have booked 2 nights in November. Looking forward to returning to this amazing place!

Beautiful grounds, the willow trees are living art. We dined at The Bistro. Had the homemade pasta shrimp and scallop dish and also peperoni pizza. Very very delicious. Our server, Dan, who has working there for nine years was knowledgeable and a very pleasant individual who is obviously proud of the place and its history. Gervasi is lucky to have him! This was a fun spot to eat. Later we went to The Still. Bartender Tom knows his stuff and the architecture of the place is super cool. Lastly, musical duo on The Pavilion were amazing - that young lady can sing the phone book. Her Cranberry rendition was truly spot on - Dolores Riordan would be proud!

This was easy to find and has a big arch entrance with lush vines in the vineyards. It is a nice drive up to the restaurant and villa areas.
Even though this place is located off a populated street, it is very quiet and secluded.
We visited The Crush House and afterwards walked around the grounds of the Villas which are located across from the parking lot. The grounds are beautifully manicured everywhere we saw. There is a small lake with a flowing stream and a family of ducks was visiting. While walking on the brick walkway we passed by willow trees and lily pads and there is seating areas with benches by the lake and it is very quiet and relaxing environment. It is an easy walk to the two other restaurants and the bathrooms (which were exceptionally clean) and pavilion. The other two restaurants were closed when we visited. The Bistro has a large outdoor patio with metal tables with umbrellas.
The Villas are lovely and available to rent and also you can book venues here.
The three restaurants have different hours of operation and they also have their own parking areas.
Of course the entire grounds are very Tuscan Style and a beautiful setting.

My husband and I are from Michigan and we came across Gervasi when searching for restaurants in Canton/North Canton area. Wow! What a finding!!!!
It was really cold and late in the evening, so we didn’t have the chance to fully explore the vineyard. It’s definitely in our to-do list for this spring/summer.
Well, the bar/restaurant is amazing! Top notch service - we love the fact that they didn’t rush us and let us enjoy peacefully our drinks and food; cozy & wonderful ambience; tasty food and great drinks!
I can’t complain about anything! From the moment we stepped in (with no reservation) til the moment we left, we were pretty happy, and ready to become one of their loyal customers (when we move to OH).
Next stop is their Bistro! Can’t wait!

The buildings and grounds are beautiful. The service by the Manager, Frank and the other staff members we encountered was stellar!
The dinner at the Bistro was delicious and our server, Diana was first rate.

It started great. Crush and Still House was great place to stop and have a drink, everyone was polite and accommodating. It was our first visit and we were impressed with look, cleanliness,.... We had dinner reservation for 8:00pm at The Bistro. We were seated promptly and that was it. All initial impressions were gone. First we ordered Prosecco but were served with Lambrusco, ordered Piove, served Lucello (Riesling vs Pinot Grigio). "Well, the bottles look the same", maybe someone should read the labels? Initial drink order took about 35 plus minutes. Red wine was fine. From bread that was dried out (4 slices for table of 6), Chicken and Sausage pasta (sausage taste like Bratwurst, totally bland), Short rib (another dried out, overcooked item) to Strip Steak. Ordered Rare but served Medium. At first, I said OK because I was not about to eat alone while waiting for a new one but still end up sending it back as it was tasteless, like it was soaked it in the water with no seasoning at all. No brussels sprouts and carrots, does not mean no mash potatoes. Replacement was diced, semi-raw potato. Espresso was served @9:45.
We opted for The Bistro because it was reservation only and thought that it will be better run. I understand staffing issues across service industry but training should be conducted during slow times and not on Saturday night.

Classy, gorgeous surroundings, wonderful grounds Beautifully decorated dining room. Excellent service.
The problem was the FOOD... Extensive menu- all sounding great.
The good was the cauliflower soup and short ribs of beef..
Caesar salad served very cleverly, but not a good dressing... Rack of lamb was tasteless, rather chewy, bland sauce. Pasta with seafood pasta was tough and almost raw, though the seafood was done well Sugar on Creme Brulee was burnt. Too bad as I know it is begtter than that.

Attended a wedding there. The venue and food were the best. The views of the lake and vineyard outstanding. The servers so kind. It was dream wedding.

The winery was just gorgeous! We will definitely be back again. Very romantic! Enjoyable for families as well.

This is a fun place to unwind with a pitcher of sangria outside on the patio. Lots of chairs by the pond and a large area to lay a blanket out to play a board game or just relax! The 2 bocce courts are fun and we have both played and have seen many families playing with their children. Most guests there do not mind young children there provided they are well behaved. We have only ever witnessed one very rude older couple that scolded another guest because her baby was running across the grass. Corn hole boards are available also, and if you check the schedule online you can hear live music. What a pleasant way to spend the evening. Simply wonderful!

We had a pretty much terrible check in which I won't go into detail because it was an off day for the resort and us. I pretty much thought our entire stay was doomed and there was no way for service recovery to be an option. However, the staff was SO incredible and more than made up for the check in issues. From the manager Frank to the server at the Bistro Cole, they went above and beyond to make up for the issues at check in. The rooms here (we stayed at the casa) are absolutely beautiful, the grounds gorgeous, and the food and drink at all the restaurants are amazing. We went from thinking we will NEVER come back here to planning our next date. It is really difficult to recover once customer service seems lost but their commitment to their guests went above and beyond to the point where you had to have a great time. We will definitely be back!

The grounds and decor were very well thought out and displayed. The staff (Karen) was very attentive and never rushed us, even when it was time to pay the bill. Every meal was delicious. Great food, local and rare wines and knowledgeable staff.

We first encountered Gervasi about 6 years ago for a tasting flight and light lunch. I'd been considering a return ever since. In the intervening years, they've expanded in so many ways--doubled the number of restaurants, greatly increased room options, Theyve expanded their wine selection, and added their own coffee and liquor lines.
Over our two-night stay, all of the food was delicious if not spectacular. The wines we tasted are all excellent, I also enjoyed a bit of Gervasi gin and wine-barrel bourbon in their craft cocktails. Our room in The Casa was so luxuious and supremely comfortable.
We have enjoyed staying at other resorts, but this is the one we're most eager to visit again. We're thinking October, when the foliage might be gorgeous.

Gervasi has it all. It’s a beautiful property with their own winery, distillery, brewery, villas, and 3 really good restaurants. Awesome date night location. We will definitely take visitors here when visiting Ohio.

My relocated friend and I were meeting for lunch- she had been here on prior occasions and felt it was the most beautiful location for us to enjoy lunch together. Not only is the atmosphere warm and inviting, but my salmon was great.

We really enjoyed our trip to the Vineyard. The grounds are beautiful. If you have an opportunity make a reservation at one of their 2 restaurants as the food is good. You can make a reservation to stay there as well. I may do that next time I am in the area.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were so unique. We stayed at the villas. Our friends stayed at the Casa. Both places were awesome! The food at all the places there was great! We were lucky to have great weather. I recommend the distillery tour. That was interesting. We are planning on going back!

We are relocating to the area & after a day of house hunting we found this gem online! After driving around the beautiful grounds to get a feel for where we were, we stopped in The Crush House. Our bartender/waiter, Doug, was so fabulous that he brought me to tears. Never have I ever met someone that spoke so highly of their job, but the owners. Shelby took over when Doug’s shift ended & she was spot-on with service and knowledge! We shared delicious vino and a few appetizers including a fig crostata that may have been the best thing I ever ate!
We then walked to The Still House for a few more drinks. The music and atmosphere was lovely! The other customers there were so friendly! The bartenders took quite a while to initially wait on us after several attempts to flag them down, but once we got our first round, our service definitely improved!
As we exited the the light-wrapped tree roadway, we discussed what a wonderful afternoon/evening! This place is perfection! We will be back and soon!!

The Winery with all of its buildings, vineyards and grounds is beautiful. We had dinner at the Bistro and it deserves 5 stars. Lunch was outside and was ok at the Plazzio but the view was lovely of the lake and grounds. A large variety of both red and white wines are produced here and enjoys by the group.

We visited Gervasi Vineyard for a one night getaway with another couple. We stayed on the resort in The Casa. Upon arrival we enjoyed distilled beverages at Still House where we tasted some of their house liquors which were very impressive. They had socially distanced group seating which worked out great for us. From there we enjoyed a bottle of their wine on the patio at The Piazza while waiting for our dinner reservation at the Bistro. Food was very good. We enjoyed our meals of pasta and fish. They have arranged for you to get the menus on your phone easily by scanning a QR code. There were two different live music options on property but we decided to return to the CASA to enjoy the sunset and view of the pond on Adirondack chairs provided by our rooms. We discovered our mattress squeaked like a cheap hotel and had some housekeeping issues, so that was disappointing. Breakfast was just ok. You're paying more for the setting. Overall I would recommend coming here. It was nice to be able to walk to everything and the resort offered a lot of options for entertainment, food and beverage and even a nice walking trail around the grounds.

Super place to celebrate any occasion. We are very fortunate to have such a place in our area. Super food service and wines all in one!

I reviewed the Bistro several months back but couldn't pass up a chance to talk about the rehearsal dinner we hosted at Gervasi last night. WOW! The venue is incredible from the Villa entrance to the room to the areas outdoors for the guests to relax and walk the property. The service was excellent and the guests couldn't quit talking about the food. We did buffet style with the short ribs, chicken and pasta. All were top-notch. The mashed potatoes were a hit. Every body loved it all and every little dessert we eaten by this crew!
From our first conversation with the staff beginning to plan the event through last night we have been treated extremely good. the staff worked with my wife on decoration timing and table placement. I can't say enough good things.
I look forward to coming back to Gervasi for dinners and hopefully a stay in the Villa as some point, soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Casa Room 902 for a one night get away on Aug 16, 2020. The room was beautiful but the bed was awful. The head of the bed went downward. For the price you pay for the accommodation this isn’t acceptable. Breakfast isn’t great either. Should be gourmet. We have stayed at Villa also and it needs some updating. The bed there was also horrible. We won’t be back to stay. Was an expensive night for uncomfortable accommodations. Very disappointed that Casa wasn’t any better than Villa considering Casa is newer.

We had a wonderful dinner here with friends in an environment that reflects more of a California vineyard than a NE Ohio restaurant destination.

My best friend and I just went to his vineyard for the first time yesterday. We ate lunch in the bistro before attending the Pumpkin Dessert and Wine pairing event we bought tickets to. The Bistro is so rustic and beautiful inside and we sat downstairs in the wine cellar. Zach was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and just on it. We tried the stuffed peppers, the ones that we had were spicy, Zach told us after that some can be sweet and others can be very spicy. My friend ordered the pork chop and I did the Chicken Napoleon, it was just delicious. The portions are big so you will not leave hungry and more than likely will be taking the leftovers home.
Then we went to the Pumpkin Dessert event and it was in The Pavilion which was very nice. The gentleman goes over how to prepare the wine before drinking and how it pairs with the dessert. We had to take the rest of our desserts home because they were so good, but having lunch before hand it was a bit much. Only thing is that the wine tasting was about 40-45 minutes, we thought it would be a little bit longer but so glad we tried this.
Overall the grounds are just beautiful, walk around there are different spots for photo opportunities, and stop in the Marketplace to do a little shopping! Definitely will be returning to the Vineyard.

Gervasi Winery is a beautiful winery. The grounds were fabulous! I recommend you plan on spending several hours, if not staying at The Villas over night. Wine tasting and appetizers were great at the Crush House. We enjoyed excellent dinner and wine at the Bistro.

If you have guest in town, take them but go yourself first so you will know the ropes. Something for everyone.
Family, ( teens ) Business
all will have a great time.

This place was beautiful! Great staff, super classy! Everything about this vineyard was too notch. Actually planning another trip back to explore the vineyard and experience the restaurant on the property. Friends stay in the villa and had nothing but great things to say.

Very beautiful place to go with friends, family or just the 2 of you! Wonderful place for a wedding or anniversary. Plenty of places to eat, spend the night or just take a leisurely stroll by the water. It is worth the trip!

The manager and staff at Gervasi Vineyard were beyond exceptional. My boyfriend came home from overseas active duty military and this was our getaway trip since we had been apart for months. The grounds are beautiful, restaurant was fabulous, and the extra attention given by the manager made the trip unforgettable. I will consider this location for all upcoming gatherings and special evenings in the future.

First class venue with many amenities. Everything is well done from the architecture and appearance of the facilities to the food and service.

I was not expecting this nice of a place in sleepy NE Ohio. Food was good and the setting was really nice walking the grounds was a delight and the tasting was informative. I think that a visit will be enjoyable for anyone looking for something different in the area.

We looked at Gervasi's back in 2012 for our Wedding venue but they were so booked up-that our dates were not available. But we loved the area and location that we have been coming back at least once every year during my birthday(weekend of Thanksgiving) or around Christmas depending on our schedules. We always enjoy the Tuscan Italian atmosphere and the decorations for the holidays are always done so perfectly. The service is always wonderful and the food is delicious! We will continue this great tradition in the future.

Wow - is this in Ohio? The answer is yes. The Tuscany-inspired resort is first class with many choices for dining (from moderately priced to high-end), relaxing and overnight stays. They sponsor many events from Art Shows to Car Shows and bands appearing on the Piazza. Great place.

This is not a regular winery. It is a compound. I liked it but probably once a year visit. The wines were very good. Service was good!

Amazing 3 night stay in the Sorrento building. Since we can't get back to Italy in person just yet, Gervasi does its best to make you feel like you're there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They do a great job training the staff! From the stocked juices, coffee, water, etc in the common area, to the delicious breakfast delivered to your room each morning, everything was perfect. Plenty of dining options on-site so no reason to even leave the property. We will definitely be making the trip from Dayton in the future.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed in some of the areas of our stay, mainly the villa accomodations. While the Tuscany style design was beautiful, the beds comfy and the view marvelous. The grounds (even in December), were breathtaking. So what was my beef? Well, our villa which was composed of 4 rooms, was booked. The provisions in the common area, were no where near enough to accomodate the number of guests that were booked for the night. I had to use my own keurig cups, and left them for other visitors to use (out of 10 that I brought only one was left), because there weren't enough. The bottled water was gone before I had one bottle. Three of use ate breakfast with spoons, I ate with my fingers no forks. We were there for only one night. I would recommend that guest accomondations take a good look at this area and ensure that provisions are adequate for at least one night stay. Guests shouldn't have to call in a laundry list upon arrival. With that said, we plan to return in the summer for the beauty and activity that is promised. The other disappointment was the wine. Someone unimpressive, although they have garnered a number of gold medals. I look forward to returning and retrying my palate! Our meal in the crush was awesome, lobster, steak, mashed potatoes and green beans for $39.00. Great wait staff and bar tending. Met some really nice people and had a blast watching OSU!

We visited at night and therefore we didn’t get to see how pretty the grounds are. The Bistro was beautiful! Food was delicious and our server was great! I would like to visit again sometime!

Maybe I’m just too picky but I like my visits to Vineyards to feel like I’m at a vineyard. A visit to Gervasi made me feel like a visit to DisneyWorld. Signs pointing you to lodging, shopping and multiple restaurants. We just wanted to sample a glass of wine. We ended up at Crush House which we thought was the wine tasting room. It’s actually a full service restaurant (although I think you can do a tasting there at the bar downstairs?). We were seated upstairs and our waiter seemed annoyed that we only wanted a glass of wine.
The wine was fine but the locale is not what I expected or necessarily wanted.

Went here for a wine and food pairing. The tour was just over an hour long. Learned about the winery and the history behind it and learned more about the production of wine. Had two samples of red and white wine to go with a few menu items. All wines were good, with the hummus and bruschetta being my favorite snacks. After tour, we walked the grounds which are beautiful. I hope to visit here again on a sunnier day than we had. We discovered a large pond on the property which had chairs around it, good for grabbing a glass of wine and people watching. Lucky for us we sat close enough to a wedding that was being held so we got to enjoy the music while having our wine.

Gervasi is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of ambiance, but it comes at a price! It definitely felt as rich as it costed. The food is amazing and I prefer the basement for a more rustic and intimate feel. Going outdoors on a nice day is a little more relaxed and also affords a cheaper menu. They also have some cool stuff going on like farmers markets as well. Overall a really beautiful and unique campus.

This place was spectacular.Beautiful grounds. The villas were exceptional, felt like you stepped back in time and into a different culture. We listened to live music and had dinner at the Piazza overlooking the lake. Wine tasting at The Crush House was nice and our server offered information and suggestions. Would definitely return!

We went to The Crush House at Gervasi Vineyards with another couple. We loved the atmosphere and we all enjoyed our meals. Two had pasta dishes, one a turkey wrap and the other had soup and salad. We shared a spinach crab dip, that was excellent! This was our third visit and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our meals and visit.

The food and service are great. However, if you wish to charge your $130 meal for 2 to a credit card, they charge a fee. For this price, I think they should be able to handle a credit card. This is ridiculous and greedy. We can understand if this is a small business, but this is a thriving expensive experience.
They do require a credit card to make a reservation, though.

I'm rating Gervasi Vineyard as my top couple's resort in Ohio. I have been to Europe and Italy many times. Gervasi so beautifully recreates a European atmosphere with plenty of Italian flair. From the picturesque villas and grounds to the exquisite cuisine, nothing disappoints. If you're looking for a wedding, anniversary, or just long weekend retreat. . . Gervasi is the place. The staff are wonderful and the prices very reasonable.

We went with 3 other couples and stayed at the villas. They are so beautiful, with wonderful decor. The restaurants and stores are very nice. Did the wine tasting and had a great time. Gervasi is a great location for a getaway!

The food , the service and the atmosphere in the Bistro
was outstanding. We were a large party with 3 small children. We will definitely be back!

I have reviewed the bistro before, but just made my annual visit to the unique piazza. How nice to find, as always, great landscaping, great food, great waitstaff, and all with the ambience of a piazza one might find in Tuscany. Very few were checking their phones....as the piazza is a "happy place" where everyone relaxes and enjoys! The first of many summer visits.

This place is beautiful! The wine is great, the food is great, and the grounds are AMAZING . You have to come visit

Excellent atmosphere. Full range of venues. Beautiful settings. Told all my family and friends. Video graphed over 450 weddings and would highly recommend this as an ideal location for a full wedding experience. It has shopping, a winnery, vineyards, brand new distillery, hotel, bungalows and much more.

Had dinner in the restaurant. It was delicious! Listened to music outside along the lake after dinner while enjoying a pitcher of sangria.

The food was so horrible. A $12 pizza that was so small and thin. It literally tasted and looked like Chef Boyardee. Very high prices for mediocre wine and sub par food. It was the most expensive and most disappointing meal I’ve had in my life. The Crush House has good appetizers but that’s about it. The servers are snobs too. I blame myself though. We keep hoping for the best but every time it’s bad. Well no more. I felt like the kitchen was sitting back and laughing at anyone spending money on food. The best thing to do is go eat somewhere else and maybe go to Gervasi to have a few (over priced) drinks. Visually it is very nice. Just don’t eat the food! I just don’t get it. All the money in the world to keep growing this place and making it beautiful but, you can’t make a good meal to save your lives. Is it really that hard to find good chefs? I don’t mind paying high prices for very good food. This dinner I paid for, with the snobbish services we received, was a joke. Never again. Don’t let it happen to you.

I'm not the type of guy that gets impressed easily, but this place absolutely impressed me! I don't know how my wife found this place, but she made the decision to make reservations at Gervasi for our 35th anniversary. The minute we drove through the gates I was blown away with the beautiful landscaping and Italian villa style buildings. We stayed at the Casa. The room amenities were top notch and the connected covered patio connected to our room had a beautiful view of a pond and beautifully landscaped courtyard. We sat around the gas pit fire with neighboring guests at night. So relaxing. We at the Bistro and the waiter was very friendly. I can go on and on about this place. Take it from me, you won't regret going to Gervasi. We definitely plan on going back!

Very nice place and great to take your wife or a date you want to impress. Little costly but allot beautiful scenery! Sangria is very good. Dress to impress here.

Beautiful Italian villa atmosphere. Very nice grounds to walk among. On Wednesdays during summer ,they have vintage car shows. There's music while sitting on the veranda and sipping one of their wines. There is an outside cafe style eatery or an elegant indoor Resturant. Very pleasant, friendly staff.

We stayed one night (Sunday) with our good friends. The Villas were lovely, relaxing and well appointed. The fireplaces in common space and bedrooms were really nice given we had a temperature drop outside and some rain. The bed was super comfortable and I loved all the pillows! We were surprised with price point of room that only a walk-in shower was installed. A soaking tub would have been nice to enjoy the flat screen TV in bathroom.
We had dinner at the Bistro and had some service issues. Two entrees arrived and then two of us waited for our meals quite a deal longer. So much so that we told spouses to eat so theirs didn’t get cold! Beverage service was terribly slow as well.
Our breakfast time was specified at check-in. The room delivered food arrived 35 mins late. It was warm, but not delivered at requested time.
Overall the property is lovely but there can be service and kitchen issues handled better to get 5 stars from me.

Absolutley stunning!! Great food...food service..beautiful atmosphere..great wine..a lot id selections.

Joined a friend for lunch and shopping and what a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful and I can’t wait to come back in the summer. There is so much to enjoy I had no idea, and regret taking so long to enjoy all they have to offer. Lunch at the Crush House was wonderful and I look forward to my next visit. I also want to try the Bistro as their menu looks delicious. The gift shop was a nice surprise also, found some Christmas gifts and some gourmet imported oils for myself.

My husband and I stayed at the Portofino Villa at Gervasi Vineyard for his birthday celebration. We could not have made a nicer choice. The villa itself was beautifully decorated in Tuscany style. The room was spacious and had appreciated special touches. There was a fireplace that could be set on a timer, and a closet that would automatically light when the door opened. The bathroom had a very large tiled shower, large vanity with plenty of storage for toiletries, and a separate closet for the toilet. It also had the nice extra touch of a heated towel rack.
The grounds were meticulously manicured and beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting by the lake in the Adirondack chairs after playing bocci on their lakeside courts. The grounds host two restaurants that were both outstanding in food and service. They also have a really nice gift shop filled with all types of unique specialty gifts. There are several walking trails we enjoyed which connect to the property. If you are seeking a relaxing environment, I highly recommend the Gervasi Vineyards. My husband and I are looking forward to a return visit.

We stopped by Gervasi vineyard today. We were disappointed that we couldn't go on a winery tour due to covid restrictions. 😒 We sampled a couple wines and even brought some home. We will definitely visit here again.

By far the best food and spirits served anywhere,
staff above friendly and knowledgeable
Not cheep. But neither was the food and service,
You get what you pay for!
A definite must o your visit to the area.

Great service beautiful peaceful setting the calimari is spot on, I have eaten calimari all up and down the coast and they serve the best here. I have been here several times but I have never got past the appetizers which are all great.

Went to a wedding in July. Venue is beautiful, weather was great. Food is amazing as well! The entire area is beautiful

This campus is very impressive. It’s a must see. The food is good(not the greatest) buy certainly good. The service is very good and the pricing is quite high. The wine, In my humble opinion, is just not good. I highly recommend visiting here but stick with a beer and enjoy the beautiful surroundings they have put together here.

Enjoy visiting the property a few times each year; sampling wine and taking dinner. Found the daily menu entree of $40 too high considering the plate contained 3 scallop, 3 shrimp, 5 crab ravioli and cream sauce. I had the brick oven pizza. The pizza was not anything special; it lacked flavor. Strictly based on the restaurant I would give 3 stars, but overall atmosphere bumps it to 4.

We came to celebrate our 20th anniversary and I will start with the positives. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff was very friendly, the food was wonderful at the Bistro, Crush House and Piazza. The Marketplace has great selections and the staff was very nice and helpful with our selections. Our server at the Bistro, Nate, was awesome! Our room at the Casa was fabulous. The bed was cozy and had lots of pillows. The decor and amenities (heated towel rack, fireplace, heated floors in winter, stocked fridge) were great. The breakfast delivered to our room in a stylish wooden box added to experience. The fire pit was a nice added touch and the views were beautiful. Overall we were very impressed by the vineyard and would certainly return. However, there were certain things that I would consider negatives. My husband ordered the the “celebration package”. The flowers treats and chilled Prosecco were great, but we were not impressed with the florist they used. The arrangement had a head of garlic and 2 artichokes mixed in with the flowers. While a cute idea for a culinary event, it was not appropriate for a 20th Anniversary arrangement. They also failed to put his message on the card attached (left it blank) and left the price tag on the vase. Another con was housekeeping on our patio. When we arrived in the evening, the breakfast dishes from the previous guest were left on the patio table. We called to have them removed, which they quickly did, but they didn’t wipe the table so we were left to wipe it down. Also, there was evidence that a bird nest was removed from the sprinkler system on our patio, but they didn’t bother to clean up the droppings left by the birds. It seemed housekeeping just focused on the room and not the patio.

Great food with fantastic ambiance. The service was great. Good selection of wines for the discriminating wine connoisseur.

Food was poor. Desert was poor. Service was slow. We were celebrating a birthday with friends and hoped for a lot more.

I live locally, so I go to the Stillhouse at Gervasi often. It's a very unique, enjoyable place to go alone or with friends. lAt times, you can quietly read the newspaper, inside or outside. At other times, it's exploding with activity. And there are always good drinks.

This was a beautiful, delicious and all around great time. Fun party of 3! Yes please, we had great service, amazing food! Just a great lunch with friends!Everyone was so nice!

I am so glad I surprised my wife with a trip to Gervasi. The atmosphere is wonderfully different and the scenery is beautiful.
We had the Valentine's Day prepay dinner which included a bountiful salad, choice of entree;filet, smoked pork chop, chickpea chicken and marsala and salmon. We chose the filet and pork chop. Both were excellent, cooked and prepared to perfection with on the spot service and delicious chocolate tort or tiramisu for desert.
Just an all around great experience my wife and will never forget.

My wife and I went up on a Sunday afternoon and didn’t have reservations but they got in after a short wait. The hostess/manager was very pleasant and explained the vineyard layout and a brief history. Our server was excellent with a full understanding of the food and wine . My wife has the stuffed pepper appetizer which was very good. I had an Italian salad which was ok. I was going to get pasta bolognese but my wife talked me into the ravioli in cream sauce. This was a mistake because it was very bland. That is the only reason I didn’t give an excellent rating. My wife has a chicken dish which she said was very good. They have daily specials for 2 or more and Sunday is lasagna and pizza which looked good. The wine and cocktail selection is extensive. The meal with 2 glasses of wine each came to just over $100 so this is a place I will save for special occasions.

Beautiful piece of Tuscany in Canton, Ohio. Everything from arrival to department was perfect.
We chose the Casa King Suite, Salute Wine Package upgrade and were very pleased.
We arrived early, to enjoy the grounds before checking in. We had a wine tasting and lunch at the Crush House, everything was very nice. We then had a bourbon flight at the Still House with amazing service from Kaitlyn…. Later we also enjoyed an espresso martini from Kaitlyn.
Check in was 3pm quick and easy, the room was beautiful, very clean, with a comfy bed, and gorgeous bathroom. It also included a small minibar selection and had breathtaking lakeside views.
We enjoyed drinks on the Piazza outdoor patio before a delicious dinner at the Bistro. Service and food were both incredible.
A cute Breakfast box was delivered to our room the next morning and we enjoyed breakfast on our lakeside patio.
Would definitely recommend this beautiful place for an evening out or a beautiful getaway. We have already booked a 2 night stay in the future.

Initially we were seated in the lower level, but it was very cold and dark. We asked to be moved and were then seated on the main floor where it was much brighter but still a little chilly. The meatball appetizer was extremely tasty as were our entrees. Our server overheard a conversation that we we celebrating our anniversary and she surprised us with a complimentary dessert. Overall a pleasant experience and occasionally worth the one hour drive to get there.

We stayed in one of the Villas for the weekend. It had a big king-sized bed and was beautifully decorated. Four Villas share an outdoor porch that overlooks the water, but we ate outside for the included breakfast brought to our room both Saturday and Sunday and on Friday night after getting food and wine at the Piazza. Our room had it's own gas fireplace which was good because the air conditioning made it too cool even after we approached the front desk about adjusting the temperature. They said that the geothermal units sometimes took a while to heat up. Otherwise everything was perfect. The food at the Bistro was especially delicious and the level of service was excellent.

After being excited for the opening of the Still House we are once again disappointed in lack of any service provided. There are plenty of staff members on shift but they feel that taking smoke breaks or holding up the bar is more important than waiting on tables. This is true of manager on duty as well who wouldn't stop his personal conversation with bartender when we walked in to address us. We live so close that I would love to frequent but Gervasi continues to show me that the customer is never important in their eyes. It doesn't matter what part of property we have visited - we are ignored, treated rudely, and brushed aside. Beautiful new bar - but I'd rather stay home.

My husband brought us to have lunch outside and it was delicious. The weather was beautiful, the staff was great and the wine was delicious.

I’ve been here with my wife twice. Once to eat on the patio where the atmosphere was awesome. It was Italy in Ohio. Food was top notch and I’d go back to eat again!

When you drive in, through the sparkling trees, passing the grapevines, the lovely pond/outdoor patio where you can sit and relax or play games with friends during warm weather, to the Gorgeous main dining area, you will feel like you are in another far off place..Napa comes to mind! Food is exceptional, large selection of fabulous wines, and decor is stunning!! This is my #1 place to take any of my friends/family from out of town!

My husband and I visited for our anniversary. It was a short Friday/Saturday getaway, but was so nice to be in a beautiful place that had everything we wanted: several great meals, evening entertainment, hiking, and lovely scenery. It was perfect to recharge and reconnect. We stayed in a villa and the room was lovely and very clean. The fireplace was cozy, and the room layout was perfect. We tried all three restaurants, and we ate consistently delicious meals with great wine, coffee, or bourbon pairings.
Cons: We would love to come back in the summer when the vines are green. The shower was cold, and occasionally the building was noisy as others were coming or going, so we would probably try the Casa next time.

Gervasi is not your average winery/restaurant. It's a top notch establishment. The variety of dining options make it suitable for any size group and age group. The menus are packed with wonderful choices. Plan to stay a few hours and enjoy the grounds or do a little shopping.
You can even stay the night. I highly recommend trip to Gervasi.

Gervasi should be embarrassed by their office staff, systems and procedures. Why? When you make a reservation 6 months in advance and are asked to pay in advance for all of your lodging with draconian cancellation policies, this makes getting a refund virtually impossible, so you're stuck with Gervasi's Verona Villa room 604. Beware!!! The good in my title is only the food and food service staff. The bad is being wakened every morning of our two-night stay at 1:00 and 3:00 AM while a train rumbles by 20 feet from our building!?! It had rained and thundered--we thought it was a tornado and woke up alarmed. Did they alert us to that while booking? No. Instead, the whole building, windows and shutters rattled like they were falling down. Then, did they bother to tell us their 14-year-old HVAC system had only one thermostat, downstairs, and you could either freeze on the first floor and be mildly cooled on the second thanks only to a ceiling fan? Of course not. How about the 16 stairs, painted dark brown, with no night lights needed when you only have one bathroom on the main floor, so getting down those stairs in the middle of the night in a dark room is an accident waiting to happen. Any statement of that on their website. Seriously? Finally, the ugly--when all of this was brought to the attention of the reservation representatives, they said they never knew any of these issues existed because they had ever been mentioned by previous guests. Good Customer Service would have apologized on the spot, perhaps offered a discount off the $ 914 charged up front or at least offered SOMETHING. But no, we were simply told the facility would be renovated soon and that would probably fix anything needing fixed. I guarantee you we will not be back to see and will go out of our way to warn everyone we know. Gervasi isn't great-- its God Awful!!!

We celebrated my friend’s birthday in one of the villas and had an excellent stay. 4 beautiful rooms in the villa: one with two queen beds, two with king beds and one master with two floors - bath on the first with four poster bed on the second. Each room has their own fireplace. So perfect for chilly January weather. There is a common area with couch and chairs as well as dining table, fridge, microwave and glasses/silverware and sink. Perfect for having wine and our charcuterie! We dined at the bistro that evening. Food was so delicious. I had short ribs and companions enjoyed salmon, steak and pizza. It was great to walk to dinner and check out the crush house afterward to pick up a bottle of wine To enjoy after dinner. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Loved the frittatas, juice, croissants and fruit. Enjoyed a brisk stroll on a nearby walking path before we checked out. A great mini vacation - only 70 minutes from home but felt like a world away!

This place has lovely grounds, a lake, bocce court, benches to sit by the lake, an entry into a local trail, beautiful villas, a choice of 3 different eating venues. It is great for family and friends. The villas were fabulous. The Crush House was wonderful for lunch and dinner. I went in July and repeated in August with others.

Came here to sample some wines. The bar and tasting area almost have an Italian feel to it. Service was friendly during my visit. The moscoto was probably the best of them all.

This place is AMAZING! All of the staff we encountered were very professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. Our waitress Stacy at the Bistro was awesome and so helpful during our visit. The people anf other couples we met were great. We will definitely return. If you are looking for a nice, peaceful, quaint place with fine dining, scenic views and pure serenity-loom no further!!! I call it THE GERVASI EXPERIENCE indeed!!!

We returned to the Bistro to celebrate our anniversary. Once again they provided some of the best dining experiences we've had. We book reservations months in advance to get the window seat overlooking the lake. The wait staff each cover a small number of tables and so service is very personalized. The food was AMAZING. I saw a review that the seafood rissoto was lacking the seafood and I thoroughly disagree. Sure I've had bigger portions, like the review I made for a downtown Cleveland restaurant's rissoto, but there is no comparison when it comes to quality. Plus, as you can see from my picture, the offering is ample.

This place is beyond exceptional! From the moment we checked in we could feel the hospitality from every person we encountered My husband surprised me with a 3 night stay here and I was in awe at how beautiful everything was! We stayed in Villa Verona, the furthest one in the back but the best view of the lake! We went to the Crush House every day, sometimes twice a day! The pork chop and burger were to die for! Doug and Mike at the bar were so friendly and gave us great tips on some things to do in the area. The Piazza is a great area to just sit back and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. There were some games to play on the lawn and some live music as well. Still House has a cigar lounge area on the patio that my husband enjoyed! Everything was just so nice here, the only negative is the first couple nights, we had a couple with 2 kids who stayed there. The common area of the villa is very loud. You can hear everything and all the doors closing just echoes through the entire villa. Unfortunately that family was not very conscious of that or their neighbors. But those loud neighbors could not even out weigh all the good things about this place! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful grounds at this vineyard. All maintained very well and many opportunities for photos. There is a good selection of restaurants as well, from fine dining to carry-out on the patio. We had dinner at the Bistro, very fancy and delicious. Enjoy a stay overnight at the villas. After dinner, we enjoyed a nice relaxing evening on the lawn by the pond. There are games to play on the lawn as well. Lawn chairs fill fast, so bring an extra water-proof blanket to sit on the ground. There was a live band playing when we visited as well. This is such a cute little vineyard. If I lived closer, I would be there every weekend in the summer.

This was my third experience and it was as wonderful as the first two. I went to celebrate an anniversary of sorts and this was our first time "out and about" since the pandemic shutdown. We didnt regret our selection. We ate at The Crush House after walking around the beautiful grounds. We took pictures and enjoyed the scenery and fresh air. The food and service was excellent! And every thing was "Covid conscious" regarding spacing, serving and other activities. We will be back in the fall! Highly recommended!

My wife and I do a lot of weekend getaways, but wanted someplace special where we could disconnect from the world for our 30th anniversary. This was a great find less than two hours from home. When coupled with a side trip to Amish country this was a great experience.
This is a fairly large property with a boutique hotel and a series of four unit villas. I can't recommend the villas enough. There is a shared common room with access to coffee and complimentary soft drinks, as well as a table and couch. The rooms are immaculate with giant wooden beams a beautiful sitting area and a gas fireplace. It feels both fancy and comfortable. Pro tip-splurge and arrange to have a bottle of red delivered to your room. It was nice to walk in, see the bottle and immediately be able start in on your getaway.
The grounds are beautiful and make sure to bring walking shoes as there is a public recreational path that runs through the property. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy a bottle of wine in a chair next to the lake. There are three food/beverage options. The crush house is casual. I suggest going in the afternoon and sitting at the bar. The bartender was attentive and walked us through all the varieties of wine. The Bistro is fancy- beautiful with delicious food. And the Still House has a nice variety of cocktails. In the morning it's also their coffee house.
This is definitely a place to enjoy just being. They have good wine, cocktails, food and atmosphere. One suggestion is to look at what is open the days you're there. We stayed a Monday and Tuesday and some places had limited hours and there wasn't live music or wine/distillery tours either.

My boyfriend surprised me with a overnight birthday 🎁 stay at Gervasi (in the villas)! It was simply amazing! 🍷 The grounds are beautiful and the villas are World 🌎 Class! Just stunning, down to every last detail. We visited the Marketplace, amazing dinner at the Bistro! Highly recommend! Hard to believe this magical place is right here 30 minutes from Akron! Just as good if not better than any place in Napa Valley! 🍷 well done Gervasi! WORLD CLASS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful evening at the Gervasi Pavilion!
We saw Helen Welch.
Wine was pricey but the venue was wonderful. As well as the performance.
Summer breezes under the Italian deco made the evening memorable.
We will be back.

We stayed 2 nights in the Casa. The room was outstanding and luxurious. We are at The Bistro one night and Ceush House the next night. The food was superb at both and the wine is always good. What stood out most was the quality of their entire staff everywhere we went. Their employees were friendly, courteous, respectful and eager to help in any way they could. As a same sex couple we aren't always made to feel as welcome as other guests but the Gervasi staff could not have made us feel any more valued as customers and truly treated us as guests.

My fiancee and I got engaged at Gervasi's Conservatory and spent the night celebrating. We ate at the bistro and stayed in the Casa. My bistro review is on that page, but let me tell you...five stars! The casa was amazing. The walk in shower is above anything I have ever seen and the fireplace warmed up the room so much we fell asleep at midnight haha. Unfortunately I did not experience the heated tile floors that supposedly are turned on in the winter. Maybe I was expecting too much heat from the floor? The staff was amazing from check in to accommodations. Gervasi left congratulatory balloons in the room along with chocolate covered strawberries. Everything was amazing in our experience. Brit was our event coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure our proposal was perfect. She brought in a "She said yes" cake at the end of the proposal and it was everything I could have hoped for. The only downfall is that she did not let us get on the carriage rides because they were "sold out." I think she could have made an exception since we just got engaged, but it did not spoil our night. Thanks Gervasi for everything. You truly made our engagement special and we hope to be back soon.

My husband and I were here for 2 nights in Sept 2021. The check in was easy and informative staff was very nice.
We stayed at the Sorrento building in the villas. Was a nice room , bed was super comfortable and the pillows were awesome, great bathroom separate toilet area and large shower, with heated towel racks. The rooms have a small desk couch coffee table and a fire place for those cool nights when you need some ambiance. There is a common room outside the 4 suites in each building with help yourself coffee, juices sodas etc The issue with this is that that common area is like a echo chamber when someone is out there making coffee or just simply talking you can hear everything in the rooms. We had a couple next to us the first night who made coffee all night and the door constantly slammed, the second night about 10:30 p.m. a group of 4 younger folk came back to the room (the bars close at 10 during the week) and were loud and rowdy from 10:30 till 11:15 when I finally called the front desk, security came they went into their rooms then at 1 a.m. we were awoken by them all being out on the common area patio hooting and hollering drinking wine. I was told when I checked out that if you are a couple who wants a quiet relaxing stay that you should book in the Casa building (I wish I had known that when I booked) because it is not by any means cheap to stay here. You are given 2 breakfasts and they have 5 choices that they want you to let them know when checking in. It is delivered to your room between 7 and 9 a.m. each morning. and for this reason I did not give 5 stars as quiet time is at 11 p.m. as a courtesy
The property and grounds were beautiful well maintained and there was a pond you could see from the Bistro and the Piazza restaurants, with weeping willow trees and several chairs around the pond you can sit and have a glass of wine and just relax and enjoy the serenity.
This is also a local attraction, people who live close by can come for a glass of wine, relax, listen to music then go home, it isn't a must stay at place, so you are aware some evenings can get busy with local folk

We arrived for our 1:00 reservations to an almost empty dining room. We were shown to the first table by the front door although seating at and near the front windows was open. We asked and were given the table at the window although we wondered why we weren’t given that option to begin with. My friend ordered the meatballs which were not cooked all the way thru and were cold. The next batch of meatballs came. They again were not cooked all the way thru and were cold in the middle. Maybe a meat thermometer would help. Not going to go into the service but we left feeling like we were at fault for expecting warm food

As part of my whirlwind tour of Canton I got to visit Gervasi Vineyards...prior to that I had no idea what it was and certainly no idea how wonderful it is...I was greeted by their marketing person and someone from Visit Canton and was delighted to be offered a tour of the winery, the villas, the grounds and be joined at lunch by Jeff, whose family owns and operated Gervasi...yes I said villas, you can spend the night here and be married here, or enjoy any other event...this I bet is a Canton Hidden Treasure....put it on your list

Gervasi Vineyard has very attractive grounds and landscaping. We stayed three days. It bills itself as a winery and resort and even charges daily resort fees on top of vastly over priced rooms. In a nod to real resorts they did have outdoor music venue, gift shop, a coupla restaurants and bars, spacious piazza, hiking trails, exercise nook and bocci ball. Missing were some amenities you’d readily associate with a resort, e.g. tennis court, swimming pool, bike rental or spa.
The pandemic has forced a dizzying array of new rules to be enforced for everyone’s safety. So things are not what they used to be but what is consistent throughout is the high level of friendliness and efficiency exhibited by the staff. Hats off to the young women and men that make the GV world go ‘round. They are excellent. Thank you for your service!
Early in the week, Monday, we discovered that the one cocktail lounge closes at 5pm during half of our stay. So that’s one weird inconvenience; ironically in mid-week, we did get in there finally and the food was better than the other “on premise” offerings. Shame they were not open during majority of our stay. In our case, these closures force guests and locals (they are locally popular!) to congregate at the one major restaurant that was open and queue up for a bit of a wait until seating becomes available. So you almost always have a twenty minute wait to get in lunch or dinner. Generous portions served up in each restaurant and at very reasonable prices. The food is OK and plentiful.
I recommend it for a visit if you are in the area, can afford it and are seeking a very restful stay, free of almost any exertion other than walking, eating and drinking. We used it as a base for a day trip to Akron’s Stan Hywet Mansion which is one of the more interesting, ingenious mansions I have seen. I have been in dozens, by the way and recommend that tire magnate Sieberling’s not-so-humble abode as a worthy and illuminating tour.

Celebrating our anniversary we headed for one night. Not knowing what to expect I was amazed. Just spectacular lodgings and surroundings. Beautiful Lake, walking paths, wine tasting and food. We stayed in a villa very clean loved the breakfast box and now following CDC regulations you have your own stocked fridge with drinks and plenty of coffee available. We ordered a great bottle of cabernet and the chocolate strawberry’s. Was wonderful to sit out on the back patio and enjoy the views. Eat at the bistro. Definitely glad we booked. Lovely meal and location. Would definitely return in the future.

Wife & I had dinner reservations at the Bistro @3:30PM on Sunday. We arrived ~1 Hr early and drove/walked around the beautiful/very well maintained grounds. It was very warm outside, so drove to the welcome center 1st.
When we arrived for dinner, we were taken to the balcony area to our table. It was a little warm up there, but not unpleasant. Dan took very good care of us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food was outstanding with large portions. Definitely will retun.

Wow.... a beautiful version of Tuscany in Canton Ohio! Loved this resort. The villas are outstanding and well worth the price. Very comfortable beds, a beautiful shower and bath, and open courtyard facing the lake where we had our breakfasts that were delivered to the room. The winding walking trails, landscape, four restaurants and music entertainment options were all top notch. Highly recommend this location for a weekend getaway. And the football hall of fame is a short driving distance away.

Went to the Bistro for dinner with friends. Very rustic interior with large barn beams. The entire area has much more to offer including an outside area that serves pizza and also another entirely detached Crush House restaurant. There offer many different wines and also make their own beer. I was even given a free gelato since my birthday was this Sunday. Very friendly waitress. Try the seafood chitarra pasta dish.

Wow how fun .....another one of our favorite places to go too. Wine, music, out side patio, winery tour, walk the vineyards. Great place for a family reunion girls weekend and couples event .... must look at the website to see the lay out

Well, been here quite a few times and always had great food and great service. Tonight was one of those wtf nights
Server was a lady named Holly, don't know where she was for most of the time we were there, as us and her tables around us were constantly looking for her. For a high end restaurant like this, you usually dont have to ask for another drink or ask the bussers to ask the server to come to your table
Bread was thrown on the table, had to ask her to bring some with no cheese, she did, but not with a smile.
Took our orders and we were very detailed as we have been there many times. She said it would be no problem and she understood. Third trip to the table and still did not light the candle
Drinks come!! Had to ask her to light candle
Food comes pretty quick, but if course the order was not correct. Ordered double shrimp on the pasta, did not even get a full single order. Only 3 burnt, old, and spongy shrimp. Cant find Holly
Ask busser to have her come to table. She comes and I tell her she forgot the extra shrimp. Instead of putting the order in so my food does not get cold, her other tables start asking her for the bill and desserts so I knew I would be eating cold pasta with the new shrimp when it arrived.
Shrimp arrives!! 7 minutes after the original dinners arrive. Pasta barely warm. Eat it anyway as I am hungry
Hope it was a one off. But wow, not good from start to finish

This was our second time visiting Gervasi, first time staying on property. Last time we stayed at a nearby hotel and took an Uber to and from, staying on property was much better and worth it!! We checked in right at 3, our room was super clean and spacious and had a large patio that had a pond nearby. The restaurants, shops, and bars are all within walking distance. We played bocci after dinner, listened to one of the live bands and watched Sunday football. Will definitely be back and recommend staying on property if you can. Room had 2 beers ready for us with chocolate covered strawberries. The shower is huge, has a heated towel rack and great toiletries.

The scenery is gorgeous! They offer gluten free options!!👍🏼
The Sangria pitchers ($27) are AWESOME!!
There is so much to do and see. It’s hard to take it all in.
There is the Bistro for $$ dining, the piazza for outdoor dining With live music 🎶 and the crush house with food and full bar.
We didn’t stay here, but we did view the villas. Gorgeous! What a beautiful ending to the summer season!!
Can’t wait to go again!

Had a great time celebrating my birthday here with my sister. Good drinks. Food was excellent. Bartender was very friendly. All great priced as well. I want the sink from the bathroom... super cool!!!

I flew into Columbus for a business trip and decided to take a mini vacation staying at Gervasi. It was well worth the two-hour drive north. The property makes you feel transported to some far-away European vineyard. Everyone I encountered there was amiable. The room was spotless. The bed was comfy. The rate includes breakfast delivered to your door each morning and an array of non-alcoholic beverages in a mini fridge. Construction was happening while I was there, but I didn't hear a thing. I highly recommend this place. There are many quality dining options and activities like tours and walking trails that you can spend the entire time there without having to leave.

Title says it all. How they put a Tuscan Villa Resort in the middle of a Canton Ohio neighborhood I'll never know. Beautiful grounds, beautiful buildings, great meal & good wine. Wish we would have stayed the night! Plan on booking in the near future.

You can sit on chairs around the lake and drink your wine, have something to eat from their good sized menu. Typically, you order your wine and food at the counter and they bring it out to you. Very civilized. In addition to the seating outdoors, which is varied and spacious, there are nice indoor dining areas as well. This is a top notch place and you should absolutely go here when in Canton. You can book a room here as well. Surprised I had not been here before but will return.

My husband said he felt like he was in Italy! We stayed in the Villas with another couple and it was wonderful:) We loved that there was a common room in the middle of the villa where we could sit in front of the fireplace, visit and drink some wine. We also liked sitting out on the patio overlooking the lake but it did get a little chilly so we moved inside. The bathroom was awesome~heated floors and towel racks and a TV (although we didn't use it) put it over the top! We ate dinner atThe Crush House and it was excellent! Three of us had steaks and they were all cooked just the way we wanted them and my husband had the pasta and he said it was really good. The desserts were to die for, also. We did a wine tasting at the Crush House the next morning and the gentleman who did that with us was very welcoming, informative and was eager to please. We did order the extra to our room which included a bottle of wine, a bottle opener and two wine glasses. Nice to remember our trip by. We loved that they personally delivered breakfast to our room and the wine box with our room number carved on it was a classy addition. All in all we had a wonderful time and hope to come back around Christmas!

My family and I went here for a wedding, this was our first experience here. The only reason why I give it three stars is because the place is beautiful. The service however is extremely slow, the staff didn't seem to care, it was 90 degrees outside and didn't feel any better in the pavilion and we were only offered 1 glass of water! The food was ok, not great or anything I would brag about - split plate of salmon and steak with a couple of veggies, I've had better. If you're looking for beauty, this is the place, however I will not be returning for the food, not worth the wait and I'm sure the price.

We waited 2 hours and we were told we were next in line. Multiple parties went ahead of us. I was told a party of 6, we were 5, went to an open table. There were multiple open tables. We were seated at a table of 6. We should have never been bypassed.

Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful property, well maintained grounds , great service.but pricey. We have been there many times love the setting and decor

We had a one night stay with an outdoor dinner. The grounds and accommodations were beautiful, food and service were average. Our Casa room was beautifully furnished. However, the mattress was hard and very uncomfortable, sagged in the middle. The room walls are very thin allowing us to hear snoring from the room next door and a crying baby further down the hall. This was extremely disappointing given the pricing. Our expectations were very high given the reputation of Gervasi and the cost. Still awaiting a response from a customer sat review submitted a couple of weeks ago.

Wonderful! Lots of visitors & lots of people showing & selling their material. Lots of great food! The piazza is a great place to enjoy.

If you want to treat yourself, this is the place to come. Absolutely beautiful, the beds are a dream to sleep on. Two great places to eat right on the grounds. Just sitting by the lake, acoustic guitar music playing and watching the swans swim by will make you feel like you’re in another country.

We listened to amazing live jazz while eating next to an outdoor fire-pit and enjoying a bottle of the Vineyards amazing wine. We met new people and had a great time. This is really worth it.

Food was great! Seated at 3:00 and not done until 5, the food was so good though I would go back. Bocce ball, corn hole. Place is beautiful but you will help them pay for it with the prices. 126.00 with tip for a pitcher of Sangeria, 2 bourbons, pork chop, ravioli and 1 desert. Best pork chop I ever had though.

We loved everything about our stay at Gervasi.
We had drinks at the Crush House, dinner at the Bistro and after dinner drinks at the Stillhouse. All had great service!
We stayed in the amazing Casa! The room was beautiful. We love coming here and the staff is always welcoming and accommodating.

This is my second time at Gervasi Vineyard. Dinner at The Bistro was exceptional but that’s been our only positive experience so far this weekend. My girlfriends and I are in a two level king villa and heard an obnoxious noise all night that kept us awake. It is a long low hum with an inflection at the end. This happens every few minutes ALL NIGHT LONG and none of us slept. For the amount of $$$$ we paid to stay here it is unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. It may be an air conditioning unit but needs to be addressed immediately. For reference we are in room 304. The pull out sofa bed is super uncomfortable and should have been replaced years ago. This will be my last time staying here. I will take my hard earned money elsewhere!!

Who knew that Ohio has the most wonderful, beautiful Italian Vineyard and Winery? We stayed here one night in The Casa..the rooms are amazingly lovely, the breakfast delivered to your room was delightful, the whole property is just fabulous.
There are chairs to sit on out on the lawn by the ponds, lovely restaurants, bike and walking paths right at your front door practically...it was just the most relaxing and wonderful place.
All of the buildings on the property are just beautiful, the store awesome, The Still offered drinks and appetizers...an awesome place to go to to relax. Take a book and your bikes! You won't regret it.

Best winery this side of the Mississippi very high class, World class accommodations service and atmosphere

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Gervasi. We stayed at the new Casa hotel that had just opened. Every aspect of our visit was very nice. The entire property has a clean and well maintained atmosphere with focus on high-end details.
We started our visit with dinner at the Bistro. Every part of our meal was nice. The cocktails were especially well crafted and the crab egg rolls were an excellent recommendation from our server. We appreciated the complimentary gelato with the lovely chocolate work celebrating our anniversary.
We followed dinner with dessert and more cocktails at the Still House. Atmosphere here was very fun with live music and creative lighting. A must have here is the cannoli! We shared one with drinks and both declared it the best we've had. (We actually ordered 2 more to take back to the room)
We retired back to our suite in the Casa. We were very pleased with the beautiful details throughout the building. The room is spacious and well appointed with a generously stocked beverage fridge included. We did find ourselves wanting for snacks late night and were dissapointed that everything shut down at 9.
In the morning, a very cute little breakfast was delivered to our room (included) and we enjoyed it our on the comfortable private patio area with a calming view of the little pond.
After a stroll around the grounds, we enjoyed lunch at the Crush House. This is a another nicely decorated space with a diverse menu. More lovely cocktails were enjoyed and our favorite dish of the visit- Fig and Honey Crostatas. These were an incredible combination of sweet and savory with such a beautiful crisp finish. I would come back just for this dish! We finished our visit with a trip to the marketplace shop for a few bottles of their wine and bourbon to take home. Overall, we had a truly lovely and relaxing visit. I would recommend Gervasi to anyone looking for a nice little getaway.

Gervasi was a perfect place to visit during an excursion to the Akron/Canton area. We did some sightseeing earlier in the day and then drove over to check in at the Villa that my sister and I booked the month before. The set up for the villas is unique. We stayed in Verona in a 2 queen suite. Each villa has 4 distinct room types and an area and outside patio that is shared among the rooms. Breakfast is delivered. Coffee, beverages and glasses are all available in the common area. After checking in the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in, we walked over to the Crusher restaurant to do some wine tasting and have dinner. I enjoyed that the tasting was at a sit down bar where we also stayed for food service. The wine tasting choices were excellent. We bought a bottle to take back to the villa to sip on the patio and watch the swan over the lake. The food choices were also varied and we loved our meal of pasta. I highly recommend trying both the winery as a trip and the overnight if you can.

We spent two nights at one of the Gervasi Vineyard villas for a really pleasant and relaxing experience. Although I've never been to the real Tuscany, somehow I suspect that this is nicer! The rooms are charming [scrupulously clean, very comfy bed, love the fireplace], the bathrooms are luxurious [love the heated towel racks], and the comfortable common area included separate breakfast tables for those who aren't talkative in the morning, as well as a larger "farmhouse" table and patio table [view of the little lake] for those who enjoy company. There's also comfortable seating around a fireplace. The counter area has coffee, tea, cold beverages, ice, and yogurt continuously available. I wasn't sure how the villa concept would work out [four rooms share a common dining/sitting area and private patio], but it worked out really well. All four rooms were occupied in our villa yet it was very quiet; we interacted briefly with several guests, and enjoyed pleasant breakfast conversations with another couple.
The landscaping is absolutely lovely, so it's nice to ramble around the grounds. There's also a longer walking trail around the property. It's fun to see the grapevines surrounding the property.Oh yes -- there's a nice little gift shop, too.
There are two restaurants in easy walking distance from the villas. We had one dinner at the Crush House [casual and a bit noisy downstairs, but quieter upstairs]. Our table was on a very nice covered balcony on the second floor. We enjoyed the food and wine and service was very good. Our second night we had dinner reservations at the Bistro, a very nice restaurant in a beautifully restored historic barn. Wine, dinner, and dessert were excellent.
Customer service from the concierge desk was outstanding!
I have a few suggestions, though. Breakfasts were somewhat disappointing: in spite of the clever delivery method [wooden wine boxes with the room numbers carved in] and interesting descriptions, food was lukewarm, dry and somewhat tasteless. Maybe a less ambitious breakfast menu--crusty bread with butter, cheese, and jam and a fresh pastry? The fruit bowl and yogurt were good additions.
It would also be nice if there was a reading light on both sides of the bed--maybe even a little shelf for a phone, etc.
And speaking of light, it would be nice if the path to the Bistro had pathway lighting all the way along, since there's a rather dark section between the villas and the bridge.
In spite of those issues, it was a wonderful getaway, I highly recommend it, and look forward to our next visit.

Last night we had a really good meal and server at Gervasi Bistro Upscale Italian Dining.
The wine I had was their own Riesling. It was just ok and the pour was kinda stingy.
The main reason for 4 stars is because at the end of the meal they charged me 3% to use my credit card. So basically you charged me to get paid.
The bill for 2 was $200.00 before the tip, and the couple we were with was about the same.
This is not a cheap meal but you cheaped out and tainted the experience for a few extra bucks.
Don’t give me the excuse it’s the new standard and you didn’t want to raise your prices.
The fee is a bank fee which means it’s a 100% write off so it costs you about 1.5%.
This is not a struggling mom and pop establishment where a few bucks is critical. This is a thriving business with high end pricing.
It’s also a destination establishment and we drove an hour there and an hour back. The place was packed so don’t cry poor. You played “save a nickel, lose a dollar” with us. Stupid move.

a 1 hour drive from hour, definitely a destination for us- a really fun special place, went on the wine tour, sampled a few, had charcuterie & wine at the bar, visited the gift shop, then had dinner over looking the lake int he restaurant, in a totally remodeled resurrected barn- it is gorgeous. food was delicious- a be back destination...

Have heard that the new Still House at Gervasi Vineyards was now open for coffee and light breakfast items. Decided to give it a try on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at about 9:30am. A very attractive and welcoming building and atmosphere. Very informal, just walk up to the bar to place your order. Lots of seating available. Menu items were limited but acceptable.
A nice small table for 2 was available along the side overlooking the outside patio and grounds. But the table was cluttered with the dirty dishes and napkins from previous guests. Being the only table available, we sat there and asked the attendents at the bar if someone could clean off the table. Unfortunately, on one ever show up to clean up the mess. We were there for about 20 minutes enjoying our small breakfast and coffee, but with the mess from the previous occupants.
I watched carefully for the 20 minutes that we were there and saw about 25 other people come in for coffee and breakfast. During that time the only staff in the room was the 2 women working behind the bar. No one else ever appeared in the restaurant to act in any bussing or wait staff capacity. Dissapointing that such a nice facility is being so poorly managed.

Gervasi is this wonderful vineyard property that is great for a weekend get-a-way or a wedding/ reception or a gathering with friends. All the accommodations are in villa's with four rooms to a villa. Each villa features a great room with plush furnishings and a large fireplace. Great for 4 couples to enjoy a weekend together. The restaurant which features the beams from the 1820 barn on the original property is outstanding with a very extensive menu. The wines many of which are produced from grapes sourced in Italy California, Oregon and Washington State are very good Many different cooking class options.

Gervasi vineyard was everything I had expected. Beautiful vineyards, wonderful food. We tried all the stops. Can't wait to go back.

You can truly feel transported across the Atlantic as you enter the Gervasi grounds. A winding entry drive, vineyards on both sides and attention to detail everywhere you look. The site is host to three restaurants to cover all price ranges, a wonderful facility to holding events, well-kept walking paths that connect into the Metro Park path system, and a beautiful lake. Additionally, there are very high-end accommodations - the original villas for a more "tuscany-like" stay, a converted farmhouse for larger groups, and a new boutique hotel "The Casa" (side note, probably should be "La Casa").
Great spot for a short or long visit, this property is sure to impress and bring back a feeling of wistful longing for a trip back to Europe for those that have been there.

I took a group of 14 colleagues to Gervasi for a winery tour, tasting and food pairings. The self proclaimed "wine rat" was very passionate about wines and made the event educational, as well as, fun. The wines were quite good and reasonably priced.

Great dinner at the Bistro! Food was delicious and our server was the best....topped the night off sharing tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake!

Built right in my old stomping grounds! A gem of a place! Very good, a little pricey! Somewhere you won't plan on going every weekend. But very nice for a special event. Go on Sunday for their Italian special! Excellent !!

We were treated like ghost. We waited nearly half hour and our drinks never came. We finally went to the bar tender and he brought them to our table. The food wasn't as good as it usually is and they gave us bread that was not near as good as the garlic toast they use to serve. Our pizza crust was not baked throughly as well. Then I ordered a small chocolate cake for my son's BMT graduation and instead we got a very small scoop of ice cream. When checking out the waitress forgot our bottle of wine that we ordered.Extremely disappointed and doubt we will go back.

The winery is definitely not a safe place to go!!! We went to celebrate a wedding engagement. The intolerant place was very crowded!! tonight lines of about 20 people waiting to get into the restaurant, none were wearing masks and they were definitely not asked to be 6 feet apart. Nor were there any markers to indicate distancing!! I really feel sorry for the servers!!
We have been to wineries that create a very safe environment however Gervais sees is not one of them very disappointed!!

Reading the reviews, we were anticipating a great experience here. The place is beautiful and the rooms are nice. However, upon check-in it was raining and we were told where to park, shown a map and then sent on our way. It was a little bit of a hike from the parking lot to the Villa and hard to balance umbrellas and suitcases. Surprising that no one helps you in bad weather, that would have been a nice touch. Once settled in, we realized that the thermostat was still set on air conditioning; we could only raise the temperature to keep the air from coming on. We had a fireplace with a timer which helped a little bit with the chill in the room. The bathroom is large and the towel warmer rack is a nice touch. There is a fridge in the room. There is a common shared area with a Keurig, ice machine, cups, silverware and stocked fridge. Nice beverage selection, but we have been to wineries that supply a bottle of wine for your room which is a nice touch. The Keurig coffee pods were just enough for one cup of coffee/person for each room. I usually drink 2 in the morning, but didn't want to short someone else. We had decaf the evening before and there were only 4 pods. No ice in the ice machine when we arrived, but there was some in the morning. The breakfast was served in a neat box and it was hot. The Frittata's were a little dry and not flavorful, but the fruit and croissant were good. Overall, for the price ($300) we have stayed in nicer places with better breakfast.

Driving up to the property, it immediately feels “posh.” The grounds are pristine, even when we arrived mid March. Upon check in, they want you to select whether you’ll have breakfast delivered to your room or dine at the Still House. They also ask you to select what you want to eat each morning. So be prepared for that. We opted to do every other day, as we were staying for 4 days. Our room was very clean and luxurious. The bed and pullout sofa were very comfortable. Our teenage son slept downstairs on the pullout) We stayed in the Verona Villa. All the villas share a common area, with fireplace, complimentary juices and sodas, a Keurig machine with plenty of coffee pods. I found the Gervasi coffee to be on the weak side, but I like my coffee very strong (like you can see Jupiter without a telescope after drinking a cup 😁). The first morning, dining in our room, we all had the vegetable frittata. It was completely under seasoned and dry. Disappointing. However, my husband ordered it again (he likes to live on the edge) for our dine in at the Still House, and it was delicious. I was informed by the staff that they have different chefs, and the day before was someone else. So consistently should be something they strive for. We also found that there’s a little more selection and bigger portions if you have breakfast at the Still House, as opposed to eating in your room. The exercise facility is super tiny. I realize that not everyone exercises while on vacation. We do. So the facility would be nicer if they expanded it to accommodate more than 3 people without feeling claustrophobic. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Our communal refrigerator was stocked at all times. The overall experience was really great. I can see why so many weddings and special occasions are held here. We never tried the restaurant on premises other than for the complimentary breakfast. Overall very enjoyable stay.

Not the best place to go when the weather is cooler. We went in late September. It gets darker earlier, there are no grapes left on the vines, and it's not as nice to play bocci ball or participate in outdoor activities when it's cooler out. The Bocci ball courts are old and the balls are really dirty. Beautiful facility and great restaurants offered on the property.

We went here for the first time for our anniversary. It was a very nice experience. We ate at the outdoor grill restaurant since the one we wanted to go to is closed on Sundays. But the food was great. My pizza was wonderful and my husband enjoyed his black bean burger. We sat at the lake and finished our wine, then walked around the premises. Very beautiful to say the least. We will definitely go back next year when the weather is good and take our kids. They would love it. Very kid friendly there.

My wife and I were looking for a getaway that would recreate some of what we love about Italy. Gervasi Vineyard did a great job! The setting is beautiful, the wines are very, very good, and the food was outstanding at both the Bistro and the Crush House. The grounds are great for just hanging out or for wandering around, with a working vineyard on site. Overall a very nice experience for our Italy in Ohio staycation!

Attended a wine tour with family and it was very informative. Extremely short but nice to see how the wine was made. Are at Crush House which was very good as well. Will definitely visit again soon.

I am a stickler for customer service! I expect it of my employees and I expect it of a venue like Gervasi. They did not disappoint! From check in to room quality to amenities to quality of Wine, spirits and cuisine, they nailed it. We did a couples visit and spent 2 nights. The wine and spirits tours were well worth it. The dining options for lunch and dinner are wonderful, but reservations are suggested . I was surprised by the quality of the wines and spirits as well. Very top shelf. A lot of vision went in to laying out the resort. Beautiful manicured grounds.
Note: When venue management responds to Tripadvisor comments, you know they take an active interest in being the best they can be. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels that don’t stack up to this place.
Highly recommend going to Gervasi!

Gervasi is a place you want to go and be with friends for good service, view and a great food. If you are only going to see someone on a limited bases per year, make this place where you go for adding to the memories. Great location and you feel like you are on vacation. Enjoy

I can't rate the wines because we couldn't get anyone to correctly tell us where to go for a tasting flight. At the Marketplace the staff said to go to either of the restaurants nearby. We go to the outdoor restaurant, the Bistro, and ask the host where to get a tasting and she says go to the Crush, no other places serve a tasting. When we asked were is the Crush, she waved her hand in a ninety degree wave and said, "It's a seven minute walk or you can drive." Now we had discussed where to go after viewing the web pages and being completely confused by them. So we knew the Crush was closed on Sunday. We turned around and left. If the staff doesn't know what is open and what is served where, how can they explain anything about the wine?

We rented the Farmhouse on the property for two nights. The grounds are beautiful, they are so lovely, decorated with the most tasteful Fall decor. I have stayed at Gervasi's before and found it to be an upscale experience, for the area, nothing really like it around. This stay however was average at best. The farmhouse accommodations are tired (for $4,009.66), you would expect more. I have a great appreciation for historic homes, it made me sad to see the renovation done so cheaply, almost like they did it so fast and cheap just to get it up and running to house guests $. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were tired and rundown.
Dining at the Bistro, 2 out of 4 meals were good, one was cold and sent back twice (gluten free pizza, how do you mess that up), the cave was a must do, positive experience with great bartenders and wine. Spa was average for the $. Weddings were loud which didn't bother us at all, we actually enjoyed hearing the laughter and music. Shuttle service was great, very helpful. All in all, a total of 7 us would not return at least not to the farmhouse unless it was priced accordingly. Not worth a penny over $500 a night.

Six of us had dinner and it was absolutely outstanding. The service was first class and the meals all six of us had were great. Three of us ordered the Sunday meal special and it was great. We got 2 pizzas, salads, meatballs, short ribs and pasta. All excellent. It was only $21.00 per person which was very reasonable. We would highly recommend Gervasi, The Bistro.

We were placed at a window view of the property at the Bistro The view was delightful both inside the Bistro (or original barn) and outside).. From ambiance, to dinner to waitress (and remaining staff)....wonderful. We have to, no we will come back when we can enjoy the outdoor treasure of the lake as well as the view. . A must experience for all.

We were at the Still House having a lovely time. Our waitress was AMAZING. One of us has a medical condition that led the manager to think she was ‘over served’ and we were pretty much asked to leave. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves. Not out of line or in any way inappropriate. It was very ignorant. I can guarantee you that none of us will be back after the treatment we received. We were all so excited to visit for the first time. Sadly it’s also the last. If I could rate it below a 1 I absolutely would. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. AWFUL

Fantastic wedding anniversary weekend getaway. The villa we stayed in was gorgeous. The complimentary water, soda, and juices was nice along with the heated towels in the bathroom. The Bistro restaurant was hands down best Italian food I have had in very long time. The Cave wine tasting experience was enjoyable and the staff is so knowledgable and really help you choose wines that you will like. We explored the paths that are on the property and enjoyed the numerous ponds they have. The Stillhouse drinks were beyond perfection for me thanks to bartender Shawn. Our server at Stillhouse Nikki was very friendly and made you feel welcome and like she had known you forever. It isn't often we take a trip and we both feel we got more than our monies worth, however this trip we both agreed was perfect for our Anniversary Weekend getaway.

This place was amazing. The grounds are breathtaking. The food was wonderful. And I would definitely recommend putting this place on your list of places to go. The service was excellent and I even received a free birthday treat. Plan on going back for a wine tasting.

Celebrated our fourth anniversary this past weekend at Gervasi. We booked the exclusive wine pairing tour at the Crush House. Our guide was very friendly and energetic, she was really funny and brought the history of the winery to life. I was a little disappointed in the tour itself, as I thought it would go around the grounds and not just be limited to 3 small rooms next to each other in the main building (literally a 50 ft walk). The food and wine pairings were very interesting and I enjoyed that part! The Crush House was insanely busy after the tour and unfortunately we didn't return for drinks because of this, but it was a Saturday night. We enjoyed walking around the lake afterwards and grabbing drinks at the Piazza (outdoor terrace) to listen to the live band.

Our neighbors had stayed at Gervasi about a year ago and raved about the experience. In fact, some of the neighbors returned again for the April 8, 2024, Solar Eclipse. We were invited to join them and could not have been more impressed. The grounds, Crush restaurant, Still House coffee shop, villas and rooms were IMPRESSIVE. We imagined ourselves back in Tuscany with the stone villas, walkways, lattes, linguini dishes, wines, etc. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delivered almost immediately to our room. The weather cooperated and we dined outdoors on the patio of our villa with friends. Our only regret was that prior plans prevented us from attending Gervasi's See and Sip Solar Eclipse Party. Gervasi has many special events - outdoor concerts, seasonal parties, wine tastings, etc. We hope to return soon to see the flowers and trees in bloom and go to a party there.

We had a great meal on a busy Tuesday evening. The pork chops was good but the short ribs were outstanding. Also, the wines were surprisingly good. Seth, our server was friendly, charming and efficient. The ambiance there was also terrific - elegantly rustic (sorry).

My daughter and I went for lunch on a fall weekend. The weather was beautiful. Gervasi Vineyard is gorgeous! I'm not able to get around that well and the Piazza was easy enough to navigate with my limitations. The dining area was so nice and then sitting next to the lake afterward was so peaceful and tranquil. Nice trip for family, couples, girl trip or even to enjoy solo. The food was great. Delicious and reasonably priced for the budget conscious. They offer many things to do in one place. Shopping and accommodations along with finer dining and the winery. LOVED IT!

There are really no words to describe the beauty of Gervasi. I definitely feel as tho I've been transported to Italy or somewhere equally amazing while I'm here. We came for a Wed evening car show. My husband enjoyed walking around the cool cars, and i enjoyed the walk afterwards around the lake. You can order a glass of wine or sangria at the patio and enjoy the grounds. The food is good too! Limited menu on the patio, but it's delicious. You can play corn hole, bocce ball, or just relax.

Did a two night getaway during the week. The villas each have four rooms. Very quit any furnished very nice. Very clean and wonderful shower room in ours. Fireplace in rooms and “common area”. Breakfast is delivered to common area each morning in a box for each room number. On site restaurants are both good, one has full bar while the Bistro has limited bar. Will come again.

Love the new Still House; however, it would be nice if there were outlets at every booth in order to charge laptops when working. Also, the two front rooms have outlets, but the music is extremely loud in them.

Went to The Bistro today for the first time, but left disappointed. We had a party of three and ordered the frittata brunch menu(17 per person). The server said it is a lot of food for 3 people so we should be good, however when it arrive we were a bit sceptical. We were told the frittata for three people was made with 9 eggs but it was clearly a small amount. We did find out till much later in the meal that the cook had only cooked a two portion amount.
This is partially due to the fact that the server only came to the table roughly 3 times during the duration of the meal, the manager came to our table and we questioned the portion and they stated that we should have received more. To solve our issue they brought more bread pudding and a side of potatoes, however we still missed out on the ham, sausage and egg portion a three person party should receive. We still paid full price for this and were not offered any further reconciliation. I have include the picture showing the portions we received.
All that said the food it quite good but for other laymen out there make sure you get what you pay for and expect some slow service even during slow times as it was this morning.

Was able to stay and enjoy spa and property in march . The villa room was quiet and had a beautiful view of lake and swans . Loved the fireplace in room and there was also one on common area . Bed comfortable though pillows flat . Nice to walk around the paths and enjoy the landscaping
You did not feel as if you were in Ohio .
Spa services in a beautiful building and enjoy cave tour either before or after one can also just enjoy flight of wines as well. The wines are good but if you are true oenophile you may be disappointed . Also I think you can only order from their selection of wines .
Food could have been much better . Breakfast which was part of room was very bland . We usually had frittatas. Lunch and dinner at the bistro and piazza were good but I think had potential to be a lot better .

This place is beautiful for weddings, banquets, date night, or dinner and drinks. Very pricey but beautiful.

The grounds are breathtaking! I live the rustic, countryside feel of the property. We ate dinner at The Bistro, the Italian restaurant. Not only do they make their own wine they also have an onsite distillery. Our party of four loved everything we ordered the ginger salmon, freshly made ravioli, scallops and shrimp pasta.
A short walk and you’ll end up at The Still House where they have live music and hand rolled cigars.

Gervasi is absolutely beautiful and romantic!!My husband and I attended a wedding here and fell in love with the place! We came back for our one year wedding anniversary. We loved our villa , it
was beyond lovely and enjoyed waking up to breakfast served in a wooden box every morning. We ate breakfast on the patio overlooking a beautiful pond with a Swan and wheeping willow tree. Absolutely Picturesque!!The restaurants offered a very nice food selection and our service was amazing! We look forward to our next visit !!

Great place to sit on the patio and have a glass of wine in the summer and now that fall is here it is nice to sit by the fireplace. The grounds are beautiful.

This place is wonderful. Friendly staff. It is a great place to eat. Very clean beautiful. You must try their sangria it is by far the best in the area. Very relaxing place to have lunch outside at the crush house. Food is delicious and very fresh. I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect venue for a late summer wedding, with the wedding outside near a lake and the reception in an adjacent covered area

I have hosted several parties at Gervasi and have never been disappointed. The Venues are beautiful and the food and wine are amazing. We usually go earlier because a stop at the gift shop is a must, I really love the big round table in the tower room, it makes it nice because everyone can feel close to each other and visit as well as share food. Then let's not forget Pups on the Patio, as a dog lover how can I resist? There are just so many reasons to visit Gervasi.

We came here for my wife’s birthday. I start with a negative. The information that I received when I made a reservation was wrong. We wanted to have a drink before dinner, so we went to Happy Hour. We were told 4 different locations and that is a lot of walking. We finally get to the right spot with music and they didn’t have drink specials and they couldn’t turn the heater.
We didn’t stay and went to dinner early. We had a wonderful server and a delicious dinner. To our surprise, they gave my wife a gelato. It was a very nice touch.

We spent three days at the Gervasi Vineyard, in July 2023, during our vacation to Ohio. This is the second time we have stayed at Gervasi Vineyards, and, like our first time, our experience was terrific. The food at the Bistro was wonderful and the views of the lake from our villa were very special.
It is not cheap, but it is a wonderful experience.
We look forward to visiting again.

Was very nice. Beautiful place...breathtaking. the wine tasting was so informative and great. Little gift shop. Excellent food. The rooms are spectacular.

Top notch in all aspects: spacious, comfortable and well-equipped room, friendly and professional staff. Then you add the winetasting at the Cave, dinner at the Bistro, other smaller meals at the Still House, and the beautiful grounds, and you get a perfect and relaxing resort

We stopped in for the free short winery tour..very informative. We then had a nice lunch at the Crush House..a really attractive restaurant. We the walked by the lake to the charming gift shop. Good food in an impressive setting...feels like you are not in Canton.

What a delightful place. The grounds are carefully manicured and the view from our room overlooking the lake was soothing and very quiet. The bed was great, a little high off the floor, but comfortable and we slept well. Robes and slippers are provided. The room had a couch, tables and decor befitting a tuscan villa. All of the rooms in our villa opened to a communal area with tables, a fireplace and came equipped with complimentary coffee machine, soft drinks, juice, ice and tableware. Breakfast is provided in a wooden box big enough for a hot and cold breakfast cleverly wrapped. It was not a large breakfast but enough. We enjoyed our stay and would go again. The villa would be a great place for a family or group of friends to stay together.

We stopped here with friends, and asked for a quiet corner so we could talk. The placement was wonderful, even though the venue is all wood and high ceiling with not much material to absorb sound. The waitress was pleasant and suggested some wines, although she was not very knowledgeable. We choose other drinks, and were pleased. Our food choice for the 4 of us keep us talking all evening. We all had something different and it was the tastiest food I've had in a long time. Although this is a classy setting, we felt fine in our casual clothes. It is Jan. and a bit cold, but the grounds look enjoyable for the summer time. We will return. Enjoy yourself.

This is a beautiful place! Lovely property and attention to detail. Tried to create a feeling that you are in Italy staying at a villa. Very relaxing atmosphere.
The food overall on the property was just okay. That is what kept us from giving this 5 stars. They deliver your breakfast to your villa which is nice. But it was a poor attempt at breakfast. The restaurants close at 10 so there is no place to get a night cap.

Our Gervasi experience was a gift from our son and we loved it! We stayed overnight in a villa and had dinner at The Bistro. The grounds and plantings are absolutely beautiful, you can’t believe this Italian village is located in the middle of Canton, Ohio. It’s so authentic, just beautiful.

Great place to gather friends for a few days in Canton. We stayed in the Villa Siena that houses 4 bedrooms w/bathrooms and a common kitchenette, living room, & patio. Beds and linens are top notch with heated towel racks and spacious bathrooms. Two bedrooms are king beds with a nice sitting area with sofa& chairs. Another bedroom houses a small kitchenette, sofa, chairs, w/big screen tv and a comfortable king bed upstairs. The final bedroom has two queen beds and two chairs. All bedrooms, including the common area has gas times fire places.
The foyer has a covered alcove, which is great if there is inclement weather. A dining table with 6 chairs and two side tables are provided for group activities and/or meals. The sofa, coffee table and chairs surrounding the fireplace on the common area also provide seating.
Patio doors look out to a beautiful shade trees and lake with swans. Grounds are beautiful and well groomed. Also restaurants, Cave, and spa are very walkable.

Can’t wait to return in the spring or summer when the weather allows one to walk the grounds!
This was our first visit.
We stopped in at the Bistro. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a vodka and orange juice. Pinot Grigio was great, wish I would have bought an additional bottle to:take home even though we corked half the bottle to take home. Bill was $40.
THEN we went to THE CRUSH HOUSE. We wish we would have come here first.
Happy Hour Monday - Friday 2-6 pm
Take advantage of this deal.
$5 select appetizers, well drinks, well martinis, $5 off bottle of wine,$2 select domestic beers and $1 off glass of wine.
My husband and I each had a martini, a select appetizer and a cup of wedding soup. What a bargain around $20!

My wife and went for a financial seminar, the food was the best, and the atmosphere was great.
We had a good time and the seminar was very informative.

We had a wonderful, overnight stay at a villa at Gervasi Vineyard. With travel being limited, currently, we felt like we were transported to Tuscany by driving a couple of hours to Canton! We did a wine-tasting at our table at The Crush House & had wonderful appetizers. We recommend the Italian loaded chips & the cheese sticks--not your frozen cheese stick variety! Michael was our accommodating server. The room was comfortable & quiet--just what we both were hoping for. Lovely fireplace & a heated town bar in the bathroom. We can't wait to return during warmer weather to more fully enjoy the outdoor spaces.

We loved the room, the view and the quality of the grounds are perfect. The only thing we were a little disappointed with was the choice of breakfast. They offered a continental breakfast but I think for the money they should offer more than just a croissant and some fruit. It's almost like they want you to choose cheese and crackers for if you want something in the room. I ordered a nice bottle of moscato wine for in our room as a nice romantic touch to go with all the other romance items I ordered. We got a $31 bottle that only holds 2 small glasses of wine. It was good but I think a little expensive for the quality and quantity. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to other people. I hope they improve on the choices for the complimentary breakfast some day.

This Vineyard is so gorgeous, the Bistro has been rated one of the top 100 US restaurants with a view by Open Table, as reported in Food and Wine in July 2019.
Our event was in the Pavilion, an outdoor venue. The food was terrific and Pinot Noir quite good. Staff is very attentive.

A nice menu, attentive service, moderate pricing. We had a lovely time and we will probably return again.

A wonderful place to meet with coworkers on a Friday evening. Live music, beautiful view, great food, excellent sangria. An amazing place to get together and enjoy a warm summer evening.

Service excellent & we had a ball being so far from the city!!!! Highly recommend this hidden gem!!!!

This is a hidden treasure between Canton and Akron in the City of North Canton. Park your car and you never need it again for the duration of your visit. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and carefully laid out to guide you from one place to another. Go for dinner and you wish you had been there for lunch as well. Spend the night and you wish you'd spent two...or more. From wine flights and tastings at The Bistro and The Crush House to pitchers of Bloody Mary's on The Piazza and an after dinner cocktail or coffee at The Still House, can you say re-laxing? And the food? Where do I start? At The Bistro we started with butternut squash and the Brushetta Trio (where they pronounce in correctly as Bri-Sketta) with our flights of wines. Yum. Who had room for dinner? We did! Although there were small plates for tasting and sharing, there was not much of that going on. The Tuscan beef short ribs were delicious and the Seafood Chitarra were seasoned perfectly and melted in your mouth. The Crush House has an awesome Happy Hour from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Go for a late lunch and a beverage and you'll have trouble choosing from the wide variety of offerings, but we suggested the Italian loaded potato chips, roasted pepper hummus, or crispy fig crostatas. Want something more substantial? Try the short rib sliders or smoked turkey wrap. Portions are perfect for sharing so that you can try several things. Check Gervasi's calendar of events before you make your reservations to take full advantage of scheduled activities, including winery tours, Yoga, culinary classes, live music, and more. And if pampering is what you crave, you can have wine, cheese and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for you in your room. And, opening in 2019 is a full service hotel. Gervasi Vineyard offers something for everyone!

Visited the Bistro on Friday July 27.This was my fifth visit to Gervasi and the first time I left dissapointed.Everyone ordered the short ribs and felt like they were not up to the quality that we were accustomed too. They tasted more like regular chuck roast and they were cut smaller. Did you change your supplier or get new chefs? Also, service was slower than normal,we waited 15 minutes for 3 drinks!

The property was immaculate and the staff, whether in restaurants or on the grounds or in the main office, were extremely kind and accommodating. Since my husband and I will never venture internationally to the real Tuscany area in Italy, our room boasted beautiful Italian designs, decorations, etc. The Villas were all different based on your number of guests and needs. Our Villa had four rooms in it with a shared rest area that had coffee and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and was key card access only. The drawback, I’m sure lots of guest may have experienced, was the incredibly fantastic wood doors that when closing gave way to a lot of noise and banging, depending on how many times you went in and out. We lost sleep due to the jolt of the bangs of the doors closing.
Every restaurant we went to on the property was clean and the food was really good.
I know most places you’d stay at would be exclusive only to the guests. This property and all the restaurants were open to the public. That lead us to believe that after paying a hefty price per night in a Villa that we actually could have stayed at a reasonably priced place off site and still could have enjoyed all the property and restaurant amenities. I understand why the resort has it open to the public because a lot of revenue must come from patrons shopping at the Marketplace store and eating lunch and dinner at the restaurants. The weekly bands, auto show, etc. also helps boost business. I’m glad to see that another hotel is being built onsite along with a distillery.
Our experience was a good one; just should have read more about the place before committing to several nights. Pete worked in the vineyard and we had a fantastic time learning about the grapes, their care, and the specific wines they make. One suggestion I’d make is to allow paying Villa guests free wine tasting and a winery tour. (That was one of the reasons for visiting a winery). We were not going to pay for a tour. We mostly enjoyed walking and sitting by the lake with the swans, fish, and duck families.

Words cannot describe my weekend at Gervasi Vineyards...but I will try. My mom was celebrating a very special birthday. We decided to stay in the Casa in separate rooms. I felt like a princess when I opened the door to my suite. Posh, gorgeous, romantic, and luxurious! I never seen anything like it! The bathroom was breathtaking! But my favorite part was my private porch facing the lake. I enjoyed sitting there each day taking in the fresh air and listening to the fountain.
The lobby was beautiful. Christian, who was stationed in the lobby, was more than helpful with any questions we had about the resort. He even answered the phone cheerful late in the evening when I called to reserve my breakfast! Speaking of breakfast, unreal! The breakfast was delivered exactly on time each morning. Huge portions and beautiful presentation!
We ate at The Crush House, The Bistro, and The Still House. Overall our favorite was the Crush House. Lively and more relaxed than The Bistro. We had service issues at the Bistro, so we will not return there in the future. But Rachel was a super star who saved our evening! The Still House bartender was so friendly. And the fondue we ordered there was my favorite thing I ate during our visit.
Overall, this is a must see place for anyone, especially for couples. But for my mom and I, we shared some very special memories and cannot wait to return in the future.

Wonderful Vineyard with several food venues, live entertainment and beautiful Villas to rent. A must see experience when

Northeast Ohio has many wineries and while many have good wine, none can compete with the atmosphere at Gervasi. Indoor or Outdoor seating and 3 different dining styles available. Reservations are recommended but not necessary. There is a dining on the patio with a firepit, cornhole boards, bocce ball, next to the lake, with entertainment at night. There is and indoor resturant that books up many weeks in advance with some first come first serve seating, and there is a separate resturant serving the same great wine, with a little different menu, any resturant you choose is a good choice. There is a market and wine tours, and we love walking around this beautiful property. We come here often.

We enjoyed a family getaway at Gervasi Vineyard. We stayed in the Casa and most enjoyed afternoon visits to the Cave! The staff there was the absolute best! Everyone on staff did their best to make the Cave beyond welcoming and comfortable. We did a wine tasting tour and were amazed at the food/wine pairings. The entire weekend was fantastic in every detail.

This is a little slice of heaven, takes me back to Italy. The spacious rooms, the view of the river and the grounds are so inviting and well done.

Take you kids and enjoy running up the steps and then sliding down the sides. A museum is close by as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Absolutely loved our stay at Gervasi Vineyard. Attention to detail sums up a stay at Gervasi. Restaurants on the property allow the guests to settle in and get a good rest. There is a walking trail if you want to get out and exercise. The rooms at the Villa are amazing with everything you need for a stay inclusive of a gas fireplace, heated floors, amazing shower, beautiful decor. I have already recommended it to friends and family. We will return to Gervasi and it will be our new get away!

Once again this innovative facility is fulfilling a need in the luxurious Gervasi manner....I did note that the rooms would have king beds.....I am a widow, travelling with another widow friend and we prefer twin beds...also. I am sure there are many married couples where one or the other is a "restless sleeper" that would prefer this amenity. I am resigned to no elevators to some of the most desirable areas of the Bistro and Crush House which I really miss for wine pairings, but hope to be able to stay on site when the new hotel opens.

Really loved our visit!! We stayed two nights in the villa king luxury suite. Check in was very easy. Since the villas are not right next to each other just park your car, check in and then get your luggage out. That way you aren’t dragging it all over. We read that tip here.
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. We had a very comfortable king bed, cozy gas fireplace, plenty of storage and a wonderful bathroom with robes, slippers and heated towel racks.
The villa common area was just as beautiful with couches, table and chairs and a gas fireplace. It also had a refrigerator stocked with water, soda, juices and my favorite the sanpellegrino lemon and orange. A Keurig with plenty of k-cups with their own coffee, utensils, plates, wine glasses, mugs and napkins.
The Crush house was delicious and truly enjoyed all the wines we tasted. Great happy hour drinks and food. Kyle and Nate were very helpful and friendly!
The Bistro is more upscale and busy. Closed Mondays and reservations are a good idea. This property is just amazing with a lovely view! Our steaks were perfect.
We did a tasting and food pairing at the Bistro with Brad who was wonderful. It was upstairs in a cozy setting and well presented.
And our breakfast was delicious every morning.
We truly loved our trip and will be back!

Beautiful landscapes, and a beautiful evening with great food selections! I’m not a big fan of there wine choices but that doesn’t take away from our quiet evening!

Gervasi Vineyard is one of the best weekend getaways in Ohio with elegant Tuscan villas and exceptional bistro food in a vineyard setting.

I definitely recommend the wine tasting. The staff will help you pick the perfect wine. You can taste the wines in combinations or a la carte. The staff is very friendly and always have smiles on their faces. A friend of mine noted that the pricing was very reasonable and, although we didn't eat there, the plates of food that were passing our way looked fabulous, colorful, with very good presentation. Made us wish we had eaten there instead of where we had eaten just prior to coming. Oh well, I picked the Moscato to take home with me. Slightly sweet but not too sweet, just right. Can't wait to take it to my ladies wine party!

This place is first class all the way. Every detail has been thoroughly attended to from the cozy bathrobes, bathroom lotions, shower gel, and shampoo, a towel warmer, yummy bedding, and distinct furnishing. It was worth every penny and the only disappointment was that we didn’t stay longer. Treat yourself and enjoy luxury at its best.

Had a wonderful time with my wife outside eating dinner.very comfortable and peaceful after a day at work.

My 3rd visit here and I will be back!
Great wine, food and staff! The grounds are breaking!
You feel like you are in Napa Valley not Canton, Ohio!

I visited Gervasi in October 2018 for my husband 45th birthday dinner. The pasta was a little bland with the chicken substitute but I did ask and was offered a side of lobster sauce which made a big difference in the taste. The decor was beautiful and different inside the restaurant.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the vineyard when we visited. We went for dinner and it was dark and stormy but the grounds looked amazing. We ate dinner at the Crush House but wasn't real fond of what we selected. Wine is very pricey also.

Outdoor seating with nice evening live music and walk up ordering with server delivery located on the banks of a large pond: a great place for a relaxing evening in summer.

This looks nice on the outside, but don’t be fooled. The food is below average and disappointing. It’s a facade. If you’re looking for true fine dining and accommodation I suggest you look elsewhere. The wine is a joke

I would go here everytime I am in town it is wonderful. ..The food is to die for so good. The atmosphere is beautiful listen to music outside and sit around the yard it is wonderful

We had a great time. Close to home but far enough to get away. Every single person we met here went out of their way to be kind and helpful. No lie. Everywhere on property!
The room was lovely. The view excellent. The food was some of the best I've had in a trip. Breakfast was a treat itself. Keep that please.
We are at the bistro and the pasta Bolognese was to die for. Get meatballs added. You won't be sorry. Wine was great too.
We hope to try a class next time.
A great gem in Ohio.
Ps. We had car trouble and they got us going. That's going the extra mile!

My wife and I had heard about Gervasi for years and always wanted to go but never got around to it. We were invited to attend a wedding on a Sunday in late June and decided to go on Friday and spend the weekend.
We stayed in a villa and it was spacious and beautiful. The common areas were well-appointed. Breakfast each day was wonderful--we got to know the others in our villa.
The room was also large with a nice bathroom, bathrobes, refrigerator, etc.
The grounds are magnificent. The pond and swans were so serene and beautiful. Lots of places to wander or sit, or stop for a bite to eat or a glass (or more!) of wine.
What really made this a 5-star resort was the staff. So well-trained to think of how to make the guests' experience the best it can be.
This place is not cheap, but I cannot wait to come back here for a special occasion.

Excellent food and service (Dan) in the classy cozy Bistro restaurant. Highly recommend the lobster with a lesser recommendation for the short ribs. The beef was tender and tasty, but was akin to pot roast since it lacked the bone and was relatively lean. Another positive is that it has a very gluten-free friendly menu.

We were really looking forward to celebrating a special occasion here but were really disappointed. The grounds are lovely. But the rest of the experience was truly bland. The food was 'okay', we ordered a number of items.nothing was exciting The portions are small - probably just as well. The wines were not great. It would appear that their passion is on the atmosphere and not their wines. If your interest is for some great wines, skip this place. There are so many other wineries that have a true passion for wine. Life is too short to be drinking boring wines - like we experienced here.

I had heard a lot of good things about Gervasi vineyards but having never been there, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Now I can safely say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the wines were very good and the staff was wonderful. Set on 55 acres, everything was within easy walking distance. You can be as social or as private as you wish. The one downside is that the live music was a disappointment because the band's sound system was overwhelmed by the sound system of a wedding reception being held at the same time, across the field in an open pavilion. Expect that during any warm weather stay, as weddings are a large part of Gervasi's business. That said, I would still go back in a heartbeat. It's just that nice there. You will find it hard to believe you are in Ohio.

Absolutely beautiful place. The grounds are awesome. The villas remind you of being in an Italian city. The wine is delious. I loved the Moscato, I'm sure it's probably too sweet for most people. The good was very, very good. I can't wait to go back.

Went for a special tequila dinner for dia de los muertes. The chef paired well with lovely tequila mostly from clase de azul. It was special to drink such high end tequila. The last bottle paired with dessert was 2000. The information about the making of tequila and beautiful bottles was nice as well. Large amount of food served and took a lot home .
They also served a great Paloma as introductory drink and an unusual margarita for one of courses . Just sad I could not finish
Will return for future dinner events and maybe some spa time as well

My friend and I went for a Sunday visit, and while certain areas of the vineyard were closed, this little bistro was perfect for our last chatting time before we went our separate ways. We found the servers delightful, helpful in picking the kind of wine tasting we were looking for, and the service was impeccable. the little seats were comfy and the atmosphere was serene and peaceful.

Pull back some of your expansion. Its not wonderful anymore. Far too many cars, far too many people, physical expansion has encroached on quiet areas around the lake. You can't get in to eat anywhere on the complex. It used to be a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and be with family. Now its just another stressful experience. It feels as if the efforts to expand have gone way too far. I doubt there is anything that can be done about it until enough customers tire of the stressful experience.
The server at a nearby off-site restaurant we went to responded to us after we told him of our experience at Gervasi, " wow, I've heard that from a lot of people this year".

My sister and I met for a quiet place to relax and discuss family matters. Started with coffee and loved it so much, we stayed for wine and snacks. This was the new Distillery restaurant.

We toured the winery grounds and enjoyed a nice lunch here. There were three weddings there the day we visited and there are very nice villas to rent. Be advised they take reservations a year in advance for weekend dates at the villas, so call early. Very pretty place.

The servers were very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Definately deserves a return visit.

We decided to visit Gervasi at the recommendation of a friend, and also as a "consolation prize" trip for our visit to Florida that was cancelled by Hurricane Irma. We started the first day with a visit to the McKinley Memorial and museum in Canton. It was very interesting, something for all ages with history, hands-on science, and even a planetarium show. There is also the Professional Football Hall of Fame nearby, but we did not visit that.
We arrived at Gervasi at 3pm and our room in the beautiful Villas was ready for us. Truly unique, comfortable, a beautiful view from every window. The bed was piled with half a dozen feather pillows. Decor is very Tuscan, even included a fireplace. Magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom was nice, but positioned too low on the wall. Bathroom lighting is a bit harsh. Heated towel bars a nice touch. Wonderful snuggly robes and even slippers to use.
Breakfast was cleverly delivered, but not what I expected. As another reviewer commented, for a more European feel I would suggest hard rolls, croissants, butter and jam, and cheeses instead of the somewhat dry baked goods we received both mornings. The well stocked refrigerator had plenty of juices, soft drinks, and even yogurt, and there was a bowl of fruit on the dining table. No excuse to go hungry or thirsty!
We ate at both the Crush House and the Bistro, and had a wine tasting mid-afternoon at the Crush House as well. I especially liked the Bistro seasonal choices - all local fresh ingredients for my cucumber and melon salad. My husband had the Bolognese pasta, and it was so large (and delicious) we took home the extra and had it for another meal for two!
The beautiful grounds deserve a review of their own - the landscaping is gorgeous, hydrangeas heavy with blooms, urns and window boxes spilling with color, brick paths for a casual stroll, lovely pond with weeping willows. We wandered close to the vineyard where they were picking the last of the grapes, and also along the Stark County trail that borders the property. Picked up several fun gifts at the Marketplace in addition to the wine we purchased at the Crush House.
Expensive? Yes, but such a unique, peaceful couple of days was worth it to us. Be sure to check the website for days when restaurants and gift shop are closed if that is important to you. I think we may make this an annual trip, hurricane or not!

We were here this weekend for my birthday celebration as a couple. Check in was easy. The villas themselves are appointed well although design maybe a little too closely approximate an Olive Garden or Cheesecake Factory. The grounds of the property are beautiful and very well maintained. The restaurants are average in quality but the staff was very friendly. The real problem is in the evenings in a villa. If you stay in the villas you will hear incredibly loud music from multiple wedding going on at the property. You will also hear the constant slamming of doors from the common area as other guests, presumably attending the weddings, drunkenly enter and exit their rooms over and over all night. We checked out a day early to drive home and get a good night sleep. If you are expecting an elevated couples experience this is not the place for you. We will not be returning.

Went here twice now and have not been disappointed, they have a very good menu, have had pizza which is excellent, drinks are good as well. Also good for family dining.

This is our first time visiting Gervasi and it won’t be our last! The service the staff the food and the wine all exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the casa that is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are immaculate. We had pizza at the piazza. We had appetizers and wine at the crush house. And finally our anniversary dinner at the bistro with a complementary happy anniversary ice cream for dessert. You won’t be disappointed.

My “most experienced friends” and I enjoyed celebrating our birthdays at Gervasi. A cozy fireplace, wine, cheese and chocolate started our visit. A wonderful dinner and a wine tasting the next day added to the fun. Everyone was very pleasant and the service was wonderful. A delicious breakfast served in our villa capped off our stay. We would love to celebrate at Gervasi again next year!

We have been remiss.
In this time of so much uncertainty while staying at home trying to find, yet, one more drawer to clean, we realized that we never wrote a review for Gervasi Vineyard for our daughter’s wedding.
If you live in Canton, Ohio, you know what a rare jewel this company is for our community. Restaurants: The Bistro and the Piazza, The Crush House, Twisted Olive. And for overnight stays: The Still House and The Villas and The Casa.
We had looked at destination wedding venues, and places in Cleveland, but we kept going back to our own backyard: where Anna wanted to be married from the get-go. On August 31st of last year, our daughter was married, and we had the reception at Gervasi Vineyard Pavilion. In a word, it was “magical!” We made the point to look over everything at the entrance of the Pavilion before our guests arrived as we wanted to remember that moment. And we did. Everything was just so beautiful as we stood there with a breeze coming off the expansive pond on what could have been a sweltering day, but instead, it was glorious. The food was warm and delicious and the wines were wonderful! It is an amazing venue to have for any kind of event, but to have it for our daughter’s wedding was a dream come true.
Every employee that assisted with this wedding was exemplary: from Scott Swaldo, who answered every one of my emails and couldn’t have been more receptive or accommodating, to Susan Monteleone ( who is one of my favorite people-ever-and one of the hardest working), to Brit Stenger, our event coordinator, who was open to doing anything and everything to make Anna’s day incredible. Everyone of the staff was amazing: from the waiters, to the maid service who accommodated us in The Villas. And The Villas- lest, I forget! They were a great decision: staying there and walking to and from The Pavilion was perfect; also gorgeous and convenient for our family!
We have gone to all five establishments many times over throughout the years, and every visit has been a great experience: from eating outside on the veranda at The Crush House and Piazza, to enjoying a fabulous upscale dinner at The Bistro, to going to The Still House for the most delectable libations and coffees to the Twisted Olive for a more casual, but just as special meal.
And speaking of Twisted Olive: the day before Gov. DeWine closed down Ohio, we went there for dinner: walked to our seats and a member of the staff sanitized our menus, our seats and our table. We were so glad to know that Gervasi was so conscientious with their patrons’ safety. Little did we know that Gervasi would be closed the very next day along with everywhere else in Ohio. We have had many take-out dinners over these many weeks from the Gervasi restaurants, and the food and delivery has been warm, delicious and expedient. We were not surprised.
And now they are making hand sanitizer that we were too slow to move on: they sold out immediately!
Not having these wonderful restaurants open has made us realize even more how very lucky we are to have them in our community! We are not alone in saying that we cannot wait until you open your doors again.
BRAVO GERVASI!!!!
Katie and Paul Miller

My husband and I absolutely loved our two nights at this beautiful resort! We stayed in a villa, which was cozy and beautiful!! Loved the fireplace and the king bed was extremely comfortable! Loved the water view through our windows too! We were lucky to have had very mild weather in March, so we were able to walk around the grounds quite a bit. We were being covid safe, so picked up food to go from The Crush House, which was delicious! The staff were friendly and informative. We will definitely be back and can't wait to dine in the restaurants next time.

Beautiful grounds and accommodations. They thought of everything! Very special touches. Staff was wonderful. We were there for 4 days and never left the property. Great food too.

This place is beautiful! The wine is outstanding. I will be back! Great way to spend a day off! Well worth the drive

Great experience. Great food. Pizza is amazing. Going to gervasi is almost like leaving Ohio for a couple of hours.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Gervasi Vineyard! The Villas were stunning—beautifully designed, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail was perfect.
The property itself is breathtaking and so well maintained, and we enjoyed every moment exploring it. Between the live music, multiple fantastic restaurants, and the relaxing atmosphere, it was the perfect getaway.
Whether you're looking for a romantic escape, a wine lover’s retreat, or just a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting, Gervasi delivers. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend—10 out of 10!

We came to Gervasi to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time- We stayed in a 2 level king suite in the villas and I wouldn’t choose anything else for a future stay. On a cold, rainy day in November sitting by the in suite fireplace and drinking some excellent Gervasi wine made for a relaxing afternoon. Can’t wait to visit again!
Great lunch!
We ate lunch here after we picked up peaches from the Peach Truck. The menu was so appealing that it was hard for me to decide what to order! It was delicious too!
