No matter what time of year you go to the Glencairn Garden there is something in bloom.
The azaelas are beautiful in the spring, the crepe myrtle in the summer, tiger and day lilies, roses! Plus the fish and turtles in the pond are there all year long! Nice place to bring a picnic lunch or take a stroll!

The gardens are gorgeous and the walks are all concrete and easy to walk. Hats off to all the crew for maintaining such a beautiful Park.

Beautifully spread out, easy to access from the side streets where parking is available. The memorial to servicemen and women is very nice with the waterfalls and gliders to sit on and swing. Peak visit time is when the buds have opened. Just a peaceful place to take a stroll.

We were in downtown Rock Hill and happened upon the sign for the Glencairn Gardens, what a lovely place to stretch your legs and walk hand-in hand. We enjoyed the beauty of the garden even though it was not peak season for flowers or for the changing colors of fall leaves. The array of trees, plants, ponds, fountains, benches, and swings placed around the walking path are attractive to couples, families, and photography lovers. I would definitely return to the garden if I am in Rock Hill, SC again. i would love to see it in the spring or fall next time! And it is free!!

Glencairn Gardens is a couple blocks off the major roads so there isn't as much traffic as you would expect for such a beautiful park. there are many swinging benches and lovely flower beds to admire, as well as a few local exibits and a military service memorial. if you haven't been there its a must see.

Nice place to walk your dog or take pictures. There are fountains, a small pond, swings, gardens. There is a small vegetable garden to teach kids about growing food. My dog loves this place to walk around and sniff everything.

No charge to get in and look around. Water features and easy walking trails to follow. We were lucky to be there when the azaleas were at their peak. The peach ones were my favorites.

This park is in Rock Hill and one of my favorites. Full of beautiful landscaping. water pond and fountain. It is a wonderful places to spend several hours. Walk the pave paths throughout the park, stop to rest and sit on one of the benches throughout the park.. You can enjoy reading or listening to the music on your headset. Several times a year the city has special events with music and entertainment. Pack a picnic lunch. Visit the Veterans Memorial. Take a picture or two, make a moment a memory. Get out and walk! Have a great day.

How fortunate for the city that they were bequeathed such a wonderful park, and how smart the city planners to preserve it. 6 acres of hills, dales, water features, bridges, hidden groves, and places to escape from the humdrum of daily life. Great place to walk, meditate, and generally enjoy nature.

3.5 stars really! The gardens are lovely...just wish it was in a safer part of town. Worth a visit though!

We strolled through the flowers, tress, fountains and ponds for a morning walk. This would be even better when the flowers were blooming, especially the azaleas.

Great museum for all ages. A lot of activities for children. The plantiterian is really neat for all ages.

Went to walk in the gardens. We had a great day with warm temperatures for a February day. It's a beautiful garden covers about 11 acres. Would highly recommend this garden for great nature walk.

I recently spent an hour or so walking around the paths at Glencairn Gardens. Being September, there were still some flowers, but I imagine that it is more beautiful and abundant in the spring. The fountain in the middle of the park was beautiful, but we noticed that some of the other water features were in disrepair.

It's a nice place to spend a few hours. Very pretty with all the tress, shrubs, flowers, fountains and ponds. Maybe not great for young kids since there is no playground equipment, but, still a cool place.

This place is a hidden gem. I love how quiet and beautiful it is here. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy nature.

My husband and I go back every year to walk in the beautiful garden because that's where we got married in 2006 I advise anyone I know to take a trip through the gardens because they're beautiful in the spring time

Peaceful, lovely mid-size garden for a stroll located in older Rock Hill neighborhood. Hidden Gem. Well designed paths are large and paved. Lots of shade and interesting vegetation and flowers. Parking on street by the park. The Central Park of Rock Hill.

I went to the gardens about 3 years ago with my daughter Kristina, we strolled around the park, enjoyed the quietness of the place, nestled in a location quite surprising because it is located close to town. Haven't had a chance to return but hope so soon.

The gardens are a beautiful and quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy a quiet walk through beautifully landscaped acres of flowers, shrubs, and trees. The azaleas are a must see in the spring! With Rock Hill's variety of festivals and musical showcases, take a blanket or chair and catch a mini concert in the natural amphitheater.

Beautiful gardens run by the city. Restrooms were clean. Places to sit and enjoy the sounds of the many waterfalls.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained park/garden, complete with beautiful fountains and sculpture. A pleasure to stroll this peaceful patch of green in downtown Rock Hill. However, that being said, the best time to visit is when the azaleas are in bloom. 100's of azaleas of different varieties and colors convert this greenspace into something magical. You have to see it to believe it. For a totally memorable visit to Rock Hill, include a drive a few blocks away to Main Street and have lunch at the Five and Dine restaurant (check out their website). It is both historical and delicious!

I visited the Glencairn Gardens by myself one afternoon and found it to be quite lovely. There were a couple of couples on blankets having picnics, some grandparents with their small grandchildren, some single walkers and 1 small group of women. It was wonderfully landscaped and manicured. I enjoyed watching the ducks. It was peaceful and nice. I want to go have a romantic picnic there some day.

Grounds are very well kept. Pretty spot to relax, read a book or walk. Seems to be used to take pictures...there were a lot of professional pictures being taken around the grounds

This 11 acre park is well located in town and it makes a lovely place to wander the beautiful grounds in its quiet setting. There were pools, bridges, gardens and large blooming trees. I imagine this park is in its glory in full bloom in the spring.

This is a delightful mid-sized garden with swings, fountains, and a huge variety of flora to enjoy. It is moderately handicap-accessible, if you check it out 1st. I like that a lot of this park is shaded, artfully laid out, and well-maintained. It's a hidden gem, that's for sure!

this garden is so well kept. I enjoy the changes over the years. it is very peaceful. the water falls are just gorgeous. The restrooms are well kept.

Beautiful and tranquil - great way to get a little exercise while enjoying nature and peace. Beautiful flowers and plant life. Some wildlife. A gorgeous memorial to our military branches.

We went this morning and took my pug. It was a nice long walk, but the flowers just weren't what I expected. Maybe it's due to the time of year. But I had a nice time. I really liked the veterans portion of the park.

This smaller than expected garden was a delight during spring. We visited our 3 Sundays in a row and the progression of the flowers blooming was really amazing. One of my favourite spots when visiting Rock Hill.

Beautiful scenery to take pictures. Always clean and pretty! I would recommend for a quiet afternoon stroll or a nice visit anytime!

Glencairn Gardens sits unassumingly in the middle of one of Rock Hill's most popular residential areas. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty, with gently cascading water elements and an abundance of flora and fauna. Take some time out to relax in the swings or stroll along the paths with your special someone. Perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with the family.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Very little crowd and lots to see. The garden is clean with lots of places to take beautiful pictures or just enjoy.

My wife and I try to visit Glencairn Gardens as much as possible. The flowers, trees, fountains and couples swings are easily accessible through its beautiful walking path. Butterflies, birds and frogs around make beautiful music together. Very relaxing place. Another great place to visit in Rock Hill SC and again, "IT'S FREE"!
You're gonna love it!

Nice little park in Rock Hill, just outside DT. City takes pride in this park and it shows. Great place for a relaxing stroll or some photos in spring when flowers blooming

We went to the Gardens for our Church photo shoot. The flowers were beautiful and the trees provided a very nice back drop for our photos.

We found the gardens to be very relaxing. The flowers were beautiful. There are numerous benches to sit should you need or want to. There are water features in addition to the creek flowing through the gardens. Very enjoyable morning visit

Beautiful gardens, fountains and grounds. Ideal for picnics with family, walking the dog.Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful.
Handicapped parking. Most paths are cement and wheelchair accessible. (or, stroller if traveling with young children)

A quiet, peaceful place to picnic or reflect on life. We go to small festivals there. There is a military monument. Sometimes there are concerts.

Beautiful garden in Rock Hill, SC. We strolled the paths, sat and enjoyed the beauty. Very pleasant and can go any time to enjoy. Well maintained.

We were given a heads up that this was a gem! The waterways need to be worked on but the flowers were amazing! Lots of people out for special birthday pictures

The landscape is beautiful and well kept. Beautiful flowers and flowering trees. Different settings. All of this makes for a whole lot of great photo opportunities. The Garden is not only beautiful but also quiet and makes for an awesome place to walk along trails or to just sit peacefully and take in it's beauty.

I found this attraction through TripAdvisor and glad I did. At the top level, on the south side, there is nice little garden of flowers. Then heading down the stairs onto the path, one is lost in the trees and various water features. One of the things I found unique about this gardens is the various benches that is surrounding the area, both wooden and metal. There was a couple water areas that the elge had grown over too much, where one could go "ew". Also, there are various animals wondering around, including a raccoon that had something going on with bottom end. Yet, the overall peace and quiet of the town and this garden is worth the pause in a day to visit it.

Glencairn Gardens is a jewel in the middle of Rock Hill, SC! It is gorgeous in all seasons, but especially breathtaking in the Spring and Autumn! One of our daughters had her outdoor wedding there and all attendees commented on how wonderful and scenic it was. If you want a "mini-vacation," go to Glencairn Gardens and take a leisurely stroll! It is worth the trip!

This garden is hidden in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. It contains beautiful flowers in the spring and summer, and has fountains, goldfish ponds, swings along the path, and walkways. It is a beautiful place to stroll and spend an hour or two enjoying the pretty sights.

Although we live in Rock Hill, we hadn't been to Glencairn Gardens for many years until we took some out-of-town guests there recently. The visit made us wonder why we don't go more often. Beautiful gardens and fountains and ponds, with lots of shade and benches for sitting. Great place for a some beauty and serenity!

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Rock Hill. It's a very well maintained garden with paved paths. It was very quiet when we were there on a mid week afternoon. We only saw one other person. The public bathrooms were very clean too! Nice place to do a short walk.

Very nice garden walk. The fountains/ponds needed a clean out but otherwise a nice gentle walk thru the gardens. Worth the time if you have 30 minutes to an hour to spend.

Had few moments to appreciate this beautiful garden area tucked away in Rock Hill. Wish I would have had more time to enjoy. Defiantly will make time on my next trip.

right in the heart of town, you can escape into this beautiful garden. they have places to sit and swing, or even a little hideaway bench where bushes can hide 2 lovers as they kiss. when things are in bloom, oh...it smells so wonderful. up top of the veterians memorial, are swings. I love to sit there and see this huge beautiful tree just allowing its top branches sway in the breeze. reading the memorial placks makes you really respect all those who faught for out freedoms.

I've grown up and rock hill and have visited this beautiful garden on many occasions. This is where some of the high schools take prom pictures and other events happen. Great place to visit!

Lots of beautiful spots for photography- especially in spring! Gorgeous blooms, lots of great walking trails. Not a good place to bring young children to play, but there is a playground near the gardens.

The date is incorrect, however, I've been there. My daughter lived nearby. It's a beautiful area to visit. Blush greenery, in season; beautiful flowers; sitting areas and a man made pond with fish. A wonderful place to contemplate life.

My husband proposed to me on a little bridge in the gardens 40 years ago! ❤️ It was such a beautiful location and very romantic. ❤️

This small park/garden is a different place depending on the time of year you go. As a garden, I think it is lovely during the late spring when the azaleas are in full bloom. The fountain and terraced ponds are tranquil. On my last visit, the garden had live music during lunch and we had a picnic. Very nice place for this. If you know where the YMCA is in Rock Hill, then you are only a couple of blocks from this park.

I love going here, usually try to go at least once a year in the spring with azaeleas are in bloom. For this to be one of the oldest gardens in Rock Hill it is beautiful.. The gold fish are monstrous in the pond. My daughter wants to get married here some day.. A nice little garden to see, spend about an hour to relax.....

I grow up that place . My great grandma , and grandma took me there to walk and feed gold fish. Ideal old bread to feed the gold fish . I still take my kids to go there sometimes.

What a lovely, peaceful place for a morning, afternoon, or after-dinner stroll. I loved that there were so many locals with families there. It is well-maintained and was very serene.

Allow yourself enough time to truly get engulfed in the beauty and peacefulness you will find here. Turn off electronic annoyances and really appreciate being able to just breathe and enjoy living the moment. Forget your troubles and allow true radiant beauty to surround you. Find your spot and simply sit there,,,you will not regret it.

This is a nice place to go and it's so peaceful here you could hear your own heart beat. It's like being in your own part of heaven.

Glencarin is a beautiful spot in Rock Hill. The gardens are immaculate and the walking paths are beautiful because of it. There are swings to enjoy along the paths and benches to sit and relax. A must see if you are in the area! Go in the spring and see the most beautiful display of azaleas in every color you can imagine!

A lovely, romantic garden perfect for a stroll on a nice day. Ponds with fish and turtles and snakes hanging out. We saw three! But don’t let them keep you away. The place is gorgeous and it’s right in the middle of a neighborhood just down from Winthrop campus. Great parking and restrooms available. Handicap accessible too.

Gorgeous in spring & summer, with plenty of pretty areas in the colder months. Popular spot for photo shoots throughout the year. Good for walking. Nice community vegetable garden. In winter, some of the ponds lose their beauty because water lilies etc. temporarily die back. You can see various waterfowl, turtles, and fish in some of the ponds. I will really miss this lovely little park when I move away from Rock Hill.

We enjoyed the walk and watching the turtles and goldfish in the fountains. We also enjoyed relaxing on the swings. There was a very nice veterans memorial. Lots of flowers and victory garden, although both are probably nicer in the spring and summer than the autumn.

I visit this park regularly & am never disappointed! It is very well maintained with lovely paths, beautiful flowers, ponds, swings, and a community garden project. The facilities are clean & well located. The people are friendly & helpful. Great place to take a stroll with family members of any age. Take pictures, have a picnic, get sunshine & fresh air, or walk your pet! You won't be disappointed!

Walk around and enjoy the scenery as a couple or group. Plenty of street parking, too. Beautiful garden.

We loved wandering through the paths! I loved the many different varieties of flowers. Also, lots of wildlife call this place home. It is so peaceful. If possible, don't miss out on seeing this if you love nature.

A nice strolling park, especially in spring when flowers are in bloom. Swings and benches to sit and enjoy the vista. Bring your camera, book, your spouse or friend. Enjoy.

This park is a lovely surprise. It most definitely was a real backyard. There are flowers, bridges, fountains, a victory garden and statues. We enjoyed the walk. It’s a beautiful place!

A really nice park in Rock HIll, SC. Plenty of trees, flowers and grassy areas. Fully wheelchair accessible and onsite restrooms. A veterans garden, lots of swings and benches. A pond, creeks, waterfalls and fountains. Plenty of parking. It's the place to go if you need a backdrop for engagement pictures or for other events. We will be back to see how it looks in the spring.

My husband and I decided to spend a portion of our lunch time and walk around Glencairn Gardens this past week. We spent quite a bit of time here as a young couple over 27 years ago. It was nice to enjoy the Beautiful azaleas and other flowers that were starting to bloom. It was very relaxing we will definitely come back for more lunch time walks

Pet friendly gardens with beautiful variety of plants in every season. A great picnic or family gathering spot.

Beautifully decorated. Peaceful and romantic. Great spot for wedding photos especially around the many fountains. Spring time is the best. The flowers are breath taking. Fall is very nice, when the leaves change the park is still romantic.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city. We visited just to get out of the 'urban' feel and really enjoyed it. Very nice area to stroll through; not that big, can be totally seen in 15 minutes...

Glencairn Gardens is a relatively small, but exceptionally well maintained botanical garden/city park. The Gardens are in a quiet residential area, and we saw lots of locals taking a stroll to have conversations or just to sit and relax. On the weekends, it is easy to imagine there could be a lot of visitors. The peak time to visit would seem to be with the azalea bloom, but the fountains, paved walkways, and other plantings make it a pleasant place to walk about and take photos. There are plenty of shady areas to get out of the sun and quite a few benches and other places to sit. We would suggest giving yourself at least one hour to go through the gardens. All and all, this is a beautiful little city park to take in if you are in the Rock Hill area.

What a beautiful garden to provide for the residents and visitors of Rock Hill! My children and I all enjoyed walking around and checking out the flowers, water attractions, and wildlife. If we ever visit Rock Hill again, we will be sure to be back.

Beautiful park! Azalea season is the best time to go and walk around! The park is really peaceful and is a wonderful spot to take family or couples pictures!

Glencairn Gardens is not huge but it has several ponds and a nice trail that wraps around most of the park.

We found tranquility and peace in the middle of Rock Hill. This park has many nooks and crannies for contemplating the world. Bridges, waterways, benches, trees, flowers and lots of green grass. Lovely for taking photos in spring, summer and fall.

Such a beautiful park and so many venues for an outdoor wedding. It is expensive but we will see how everything goes next summer when we attend a wedding here.

The veteran memorial is well done..lot of plants and quiet areas to walk or sit down with a good book...

My wife bought us a membership and this is a most relaxing and colorful venue. You can sip wine, eat lunch and enjoy. They have special events and we enjoyed the food trucks this year.

very nice location to see during the right time of year. Usually after February is best time of year to visit this location with Spring time the best. Have seen more than 20 weddings at this location. Parking could be a problem on busy days.

My dad and I had some time to kill before going home, so we went to the gardens. Since it was July there weren't that many blooming flowers, but it was still gorgeous. And at one end of the garden was a memorial to those who have served in the military, and was beautifully done. The whole garden was peaceful and relaxing, an amazing sight to see!

The Gardens are an excellent reprieve from a busy day or just a boring weekend! Not far from anywhere locally and the bloom of the flora when in season is inviting to the eye! A place to meditate or simple navigation thru lush plantings. Much is maintained by the York County Master Gardeners....

Lovely gardens! It's beautiful here and so nice to walk around! Love the fountains and the fish as well as seeing the varied flowers and landscaping.

We have been to Glencairn Gardens several times and it is just lovely. It's a great place to walk and take in the beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. Lots of folks use the park as a backdrop for pictures on special occassions, and many weddings are held there as well. On our most recent visit they were having an arts & crafts fair in the park. It's so nice that Rock Hill has this peaceful place in their city.

What a beautiful and well maintained garden at Glencairn! From the flowers, shrubs and mature trees to the water features, ponds and hardscapes - all are wonderful. Our garden club could feel the tranquility as we strolled through the various areas. We loved all of the showcase gardens. We loved the beginnings and historical relevance of a Victory Garden as a reminder of how food was supplied during the world wars. Then we came upon the Veteran’s Memorial garden which is a WOW moment. Such a wonderful tribute to those who have served our country. The crew who keep this garden in such great shape are amazing. Glencairn was well worth the hour drive for our garden club to get there. We will be back.

This garden nestled in a neighborhood is a very lovely spot to stroll around. My husband and I were there in the fall and it was really nice. I imagine in the spring it is really beautiful.

My daughter and her date took good pictures here and they are always crowded during this time of the year.

This is a hidden gem in Rock Hill. Love to go here and sit in the car and eat lunch and then take a quick walk through the park.

Glencairn is a beautiful garden near downtown Rock Hill. It has some fountains and lots of walking trail. There are public restrooms. The downside is there are lots of stairs in certain areas (you can avoid them) and some of the trails don't seem to make sense. But it's still a nice place to visit.

This is a great place to have a picnic. Relax and read a book. Very quiet, beautiful and peaceful place.

We’ve stopped in Rock Hill many times but had never gone to the gardens. We were so awed by the planning, layout, plants, creek, how well it was groomed, just everything about it. If we lived closer, we would visit quite often. We found it very relaxing to be there. This is a true gem of which the city can be proud.

Absolutely beautiful since the remodel! My wedding pictures were taken here 17 years ago before the remodel. The beautful upkeep of the park has always drawn the local residents. There are gorgeous flowers and fountains. It is a peaceful quiet little sweetheart spot. It is scenic enough for wedding pictures and family pictures, as well. Its also the go to place on prom day for its blooming background. It is free. Its quiet and peaceful. It is clean and it is never too crowded except for prom day. The garden is not in a bad location. No matter the season, the beauty and the tranquility the park remains. It is a nice little gem hidden in Rock Hill.

Visited with family. Interesting areas including sculptures, cascading fountains and pond.
The walking paths are paved or lose stone, so would make for a nice walk even after a rain.
Especially liked the veterans memorial wall and surrounding areas.
Great place to take pictures. Plenty of swings and benches if you just want to rest and enjoy there outdoors for a while.

My mother and I take our dogs there to walk and enjoy the park. They keep this park very clean and most of the time there is always something blooming.

First came here during "Come See Me" Festival held annually in Rock Hill but have been back many times. Love coming when flowers in bloom but other times to enjoy the shaded beauty and enjoy a picnic!

My wife and I have visited the park for many years. It has been a lovely, peaceful place to spend time, and I love that they have facilities on the premises. This time around, we witnessed two individuals who looked as though they were up to no good, and as it turned out, they were. One of them, when they saw that we had changed direction and walked back towards our car, decided to try to run across the lawn and pretend to ask us a question. We avoided any close encounter with them and drove away. It was disappointing, to say the least. What Glencairn really needs is more of a presence, at the very least, from park maintenance, and it would be good to see police show up every now and then. We have not seen either of these over the last several visits, and I think it sets up for a very bad experience if people are hanging out to make trouble for those who just want to enjoy the park. If you go, just be aware of your surroundings.

I love Glencairn gardens! They are absolutely beautiful all year. In the spring the flowers are gorgeous and there are always pictures being taken no matter the season. The swings are soo nice!!! And thank goodness for the bathroom facilities! I love it too, because of the Veteran monument that is there. The fall and winter brings a different dynamic but if it snows - wow! the bridges and ponds are breathtaking! It is very serene and inviting! Great place to hang alone or with others.

I have known these gardens since they were privately owned in the 1950’s. The city has done a superb job of maintaining, improving, and increasing them. April is glorious here but the new ponds make them excellent for all seasons.

Always love visiting this park. Very clean, quiet, peaceful environment. Would recommend to any age.

While visiting a friend in Rock Hill she took us for a walk over to "the park". What a fantastic surprise.
Beautifully maintained gardens with a variety of flowers, plants and trees. Nicely incorporates ponds and sculpture.
This was worth the trip all on its own.

Love this park! You can casually stroll the different paths and see any number of things from flowers to turtles in the warmer weather.
There are plenty of swinging benches and spots to relax and take it in. Very peaceful.
Plenty of parking. Free admission.

Very serene park to read a book or take photos. There is wifi, a koi pond, and lots of flowers. You may see an owl. I have seen a heron perched over the

Stopped here because it was rated so high. Was not disappointed. Great walk around looking at the beautiful flowers and trees. Great place to take photos for weddings and proms.

We've had family pictures here 3 different times and it's always absolutely beautiful! Spring or fall!

Very nice garden to walk off after dinner. Nice neighborhood and park for entire family with little kids or teenagers to stop and enjoy a walk in the park.

This was a nice stop for a hot afternoon. Clean Bathrooms. Very pretty stroll with plenty of parking.

Nice little park to visit. It is very relaxing there, has plenty of parking and clean restrooms. It has benches to relax on and beautiful flowers.

During the spring the azaleas will blow you away. The winding paths are charming and create a new vista around every bend. The water flows into several ponds with turtles, frogs, herons, and geese. This should not be missed when the azaleas are in bloom but is beautiful all year.

A great place to wander for an hour and enjoy the gardens. The memorials to the armed services are an additional attraction. The whole place is restful and invigorating.

A real gem. Easy to walk in an hour or so. Great combination of plants and water features that are natural and creatively man made for sight and sound enjoyment.

Enjoyable place where to spend the finish of the afternoon after a business day.
Great green areas.
..............................................................................................

First visit to the Glencarin Gardens and it was a very pleasant experience. Beautiful sunny day on the day after Thanksgiving. Several families, kids, couples and singles walking the pathways and just enjoying the day. I even found a 'hidden' Rock Hill rocks to photograph, post on Face Book and rehide. Very nice late afternoon visit.

Picture perfect location for picnics, walks, or people watching. We especially enjoy community evens like the annual Come See Me Festival in early April!

My wife and I recently visited this garden and really enjoyed the visit. Our day also included some rain, but it didn't dampen our enjoyment of this wonderful garden. We will make sure we visit in better weather the next time. Its a great place to see gardens, flowers and ponds. There is a veterans memorial and lots of swings to sit and enjoy the park. The park is also pet friendly.

Since the city of Rock Hill has taken over this Garden it has blossomed. It is once again a showplace to be enjoyed by those who call Rock Hill home and those visiting. Of course, the azaleas are spectacular in the spring but there is something to enjoy during all seasons, And it is FREE.

Great low key stop on our visit to South Carolina. Everyone we met was so nice, the gardens were beautiful. There's something for all nature lovers here. Some spots were a bit too buggy with gnats but I guess that's to be expected. We got some amazing pictures and just had a chill time here! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're near here.

Great family outing. Beautiful, peaceful settings. Seasonal flowers, peaceful waters along paths. Veterans monument. Lots of rest areas with bench swings throughout the garden. Don't forget to bring your camera.

This place is just beautiful! I love just strolling around and taking in the beauty of the place. The turtles are a delight to see and sitting on the swinging benches and chilling out in the sun is just lovely. A great peaceful place to hang :)

The garden is a very peaceful and scenic area. There's a special area for veterans. This is a nice area to take pictures at. I recommend visiting. There are beautiful flowers and since animal sightings

Very nice gardens and a great way to relax and go for a nice walk on a beautiful day. Be sure to visit the Veterans Memorial while you're there.

Very scenic and good place to take Photographs. paved paths and minimum amout of stairs. good place to spen a casual afternoon

We love this park. It is beautiful in the spring with all the flowers in bloom, but we will take a walk here anytime. We will take a picnic and then enjoy a walk.

I took my daughter here. She was participating in the Nature Navigators program offered by the city of Rock Hill. It's beautiful and quite. Whether you're exploring or just taking in the sites this is a great place to check out.

My 20 year old son and I love the outdoors. So we found this on TripAdvisor and went to check it out. Did not find a koi fish pond. Just a few flowers were still in bloom around the metal bridges. But most of it was overgrown.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon or take a morning stroll to enjoy nature and a well designed garden

The garden was pristine and beautiful. There was a sign announcing that a wedding was in progress and an attendant was present. The attendant was so pleasant. What a beautiful place for a wedding and for the photographs before, during and after the ceremony.

A mans dream to make his backyard a beautiful garden has lead to many memories made for so many people. Me personally my first memories are of my family going every Easter to have family pictures made along with half of Rock Hill. When my kids came along I would take them for walks and picnics. Then came prom pictures. The city now owns the land and have developed it a little more. The have even added bathroom facilities. There are several water features and many trailes. You should visit every season because it is spectacular to see at any season. There is even a learning center across the street. Sometimes they give free clippings.

A nice garden to stroll any time of year. Water, flowers, blue heron, veteran area. Just a nice place to relax.

My son and his bride were married at the fountain. There has been quite a bit of work done and it is lovely

A thoughtful gift to Rock Hill. Beauty at every turn. The azaleas are in their last days, but other flowers were flourishing. The roses were beautiful. We were excited to see artichoke growing. A must see.

Beautiful any time of year, but especially in the spring. Great picnic place! Great place to take outdoor pictures!!

What a lovely place during spring time to go take pics!!! We took our grand daughter and took random pics in front of all the flowers and it is just beautiful!!

Great places for walks, picture taking, scenic views, dog walking, etc. Very beautiful in the spring and summer

Easy to find gem in the heart of Rock Hill, SC. Whenever family or friends come to visit I take them to walk around the gardens. A chance to talk, walk and relax while being surrounded by beautiful flowers and some turltles and fish.

Fun to relax and enjoy nature. Not very crowded because it is open and you go where you want. Excellent place to enjoy a swing and a book.

Good place to spend sometime in morning or evening. Do not have a lot of things or play area for children to spend a complete day.

This is one of the most beautiful parks located in rock hill. We took out engagement pictures there and they came out flawless! The flower and nature give you the best backgrounds that nothing else is needed. This is also a great place to go walking or just sit and enjoy nature.

We came in the offseason, so I bet this place is even better when everything is in bloom, but it's got some great walking paths, swinging benches, and lots of places to take photos. There's not a whole lot there, but it's a great place to decompress, take in the scenery, and maybe even have a picnic. Would love to go back in the Spring!

I needed to get out of my house so I took a ride to Rock Hill. This garden is gorgeous. It was not crowded and the pathways through the property are full of trees and plants. Colors are vibrant. I was happy to be able to sit on a 2 person swing and enjoy nature. I’m going back real soon. It’s also free and allows dogs. Have a nice day there.

This is one of our oldest gardens in RH and it has remained a wonderful spot for turtle spotting and azalea blooms and picnics.

This is a long time favorite. Great walking paths and water features. When the flowers are blooming and the weather is nice, there is not a better place to be. This is one place not to be missed if you visit Rock Hill!

Glencairn Gardens goes back to the 1950s when it was donated to the city of Rock Hill by the Biggers family. Since then the garden has doubled in size and is a favorite spot for wedding, graduation and family photo sessions. The grounds are lovely all year with a variety of plants and is meticulously groomed. Parking is ample except in peak viewing times so be prepared for that possible problem.

We had prom photoshoot their l. Beautiful view, excellent location, nice n clean. Has a variety of beautiful backgrounds for pics.

It was hot and humid the day my husband and I visited but the garden is free, well maintained with a good bit to look at. We would have enjoyed the gardens more if the weather had been cooler.

We attended a family wedding there. It was an amazing venue. Carefully laid out, it fit perfectly into itsurban foot print. It invites the eye and just begs for a small event, a stroll.
Find it, appreciate it...and you’ll be back...

Little hidden garden in the middle of Rock Hill, gorgeous anytime of the year. Look for fun schedules events like plant sales and Come See Me.

Whether you are interested in horticulture and discovering the names for the variety of plants in the gardens... or just enjoying the pretty flowers currently blooming, Glencairn Gardens is a downtown gem! A fun place to spend a few quiet hours exploring, walking, reading, or just having a picnic lunch with a few friends.
Or maybe, like a niece of mine... a nice place for a garden wedding next to the reflecting pool.
The Garden is much larger and somewhat changed over the last three decades, but still a community treasure! And the garden can really be enjoyed year round for a variety of activities, weather permitting,

Pretty park with a variety of spaces, ranging from lawns, woods, small ponds, etc. Mid October probably didn't showcase it as well as other times since there weren't many flowers and the leaves hadn't turned yet. Still, it's a nice place to visit and is probably spectacular at certain times of the year!

So well kept! The memorial to our service men and women is quite moving.
A must see! The walking paths are lovely. You can often see turtles sunning in the pond.

By living in this community, I have enjoyed this beautiful spot for over 50 years. Over the years, the garden has been updated and enlarged and made more accessible.

My son had a nature class here and I spent some time exploring the gardens while he did. It is a beautiful, and well maintained place as far as looks. I imagine in the spring, all the blooms make it look that much more enchanting. Easy to get around, and some parts are accessible. Bathrooms were really clean. There is are garden aspects dedicated to Veterans, and lots of seating and swings. That said was not too thrilled about the water snakes all around the pond areas, and there was a massive fire ant hill in the Children's garden. There are a lot of signs to stay on the pathways, and I guess that is due to a mix of wanting to preserve the beauty of what they have created and safety, especially when it might come to small children. No one seemed alarmed by the snakes in such a populated area, so it may be my nervousness as a new transplant down south. We will be back to visit as it was beautiful, just wish the snakes would find new watering holes. FYI, It is a free attraction.

This is a peaceful and beautiful park. Nice walk on a spring day! Traditional southern trees and bushes.

The history of Glencairn is interesting and with some vision from the Council and aninvolved community they have created a wonderful park for the people.

Beautiful garden! My 7 and 5 year old boys absolutely love it here! Plenty of green grass space to lay a blanket and relax, read a book, or picnic!

Lovely, beautifully landscaped park in Rock Hill SC. Photo ops abound. Visited twice in one weekend...

We got here just at or just after peak blossoming of the azalea. What a wonderful park to wander around in. It's not large so you won't be overwhelmed and I how they laid out different paths so it made the stroll longer for the small area.

The garden is beautiful for a walk with good paved walkpaths past beautiful flowers and fountains and huge oak trees. No admission is charged and is better than some other famous gardens.

Glencairn Gardens is a beautiful park in Rock Hill, not far from Winthrop. Great variety and color palate of flowers and ahrubs. Nice walking trails. Several acres. Not hard for senior citizens. Nice, older homes nearby. Must see.

Walked through the whole garden. Not too much in bloom now. was there last summer. very pretty and a relaxing, peaceful time. Have a nice veteran memorial.

Great garden to visit relax and take pictures. Azaleas in spring are fantastic. Nice garden in the city.

We were in NC for a family event and we had some extra time. Someone mentioned to us that Rock Hill, SC was not far and that it was a pretty little city. So we took a drive down to check it out and we absolutely agree. While driving around, we noticed signs for Glencairn Gardens, so we followed the signs and boy are we glad we did. What a stunning park. Beautiful flowering trees and bushes, a small pond and even a little babbling brook were some of the standout features. I just wish that we had had the time to sit for a while and really savor the atmosphere!

My teenage son and 9 yr old daughter visited this park in early November to walk around and take pictures. My son and I got lots of great photos and it was fun, enjoyable time. Lots of benches, fountains, gardens and flowers. Wildlife too.

I have been coming here since I was a small boy and have always loved it. The park is very quiet and relaxing.

Even though I went when everything was in winter mode, the place was still maintained very well, and marked well. They were doing work on some of the path's but there was still plenty of places to walk and just sit and enjoy the birds. I will defiantly come back in spring when more flowers are blooming.

Enjoyed ourselves as we strolled past the flowers, trees and pond. Nice neighbors were kind enough to take our pictures along the path. Loved the swing just off the steps. Make sure to wear your bug repellent.

Bring yourself a blanket and picnic lunch and sit a spell under the trees, by the fountains, among the blooms, etc. It's a lovely spot for a romantic stroll holding hands, a quiet afternoon of book reading, and sitting on a bench watching folks walk by. The park has various sections to be explored. Be sure to stop by the children's garden too! And in May, the Bloomfest, to support local gardens and artists.

Enjoyed my visit to Glencairn Gardens with my husband. The flowers were beautiful and the wonderful swings and benches around the gardens were so nice to sit and enjoy the scenery and beauty. A beautiful place for photos and the flowers are so colorful.

Located in an older part of town, this park is a very nice mixture of older plant specimens, newer ones, and fountains and infrastructure to compliment both. I read that the 11 acre park began as someone's backyard garden. The park is longer than it is wide, providing opportunities to walk, jog, push strollers, and walk pets, as well as peaceful sitting areas to relax and enjoy life. Families, couples, and individuals enjoyed the paths with us and the whole scene struck me as peaceful and safe. Free parking areas were abundant.

This is a beautiful garden! Great place to take pictures. Wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the flowers, plants, water, fountains, and ducks.

Really pretty out here will come back for more pictures nice clean cold water in the fountain will be coming back very soon

In addition to it's beauty, especially during Spring, it is a quiet place you can sit and enjoy nature, close to downtown and Winthrop. During the Spring and Summer, there are concerts and other activities. Glencairn is a gift to Rock Hill, no doubt.

My daughter got engaged at this garden and I married my youngest daughter at this garden so it holds a very special place in my heart. It used to be the place where all prom goers made their pictures so all 3 of my daughters were photographed here. It is beautiful here.

Glencairn Gardens is a peaceful escape from anything that ails you.
You can park in the upper parking lot near the main office building, at the lower lot near the pond, or along the road in some places.
The winding path (very walkable trail) splits and rejoins as it meanders through several different areas. The flowers, trees, water features, and even the green grass, set a relaxing mood. This park is quiet and uncrowded--a hidden gem compared to busier attractions elsewhere.
Kids can explore at the creek or, as they cross the walking bridge, look for small fish or turtles. Near that bridge, and a little further along, at the fountains, you'll find numerous bench swings. Sit a while and breathe deep. Listen to the birds singing. Watch the squirrels playing. Put your arm around somebody (but only if they're with you : )
Bathrooms and a water fountain are available.

When I visit Glencairn Gardens I always slow down to enjoy the summer activities and beautiful grounds. I always take carry my camera and it is a wonderful place to shoot.

Such a nice peaceful garden with water features and sculpture. I can't wait to go back in the spring!!

Very relaxing and beautiful park...great for pictures, lots of water features. No playground. This park is great for meditation and relaxation

I always stop at gardens of any sort. The Glencairn Gardens was not that big and I was able to see everything in less than an hour. We drove from Greenville, SC and it took us about an hour and a half to drive. It is open from dawn to dusk.

Beautiful place. A lot of photographers use the gardens. Not very big, but cute. Cute statues of children playing also. If you are looking for a place to take pictures this is a very good location.

While I'm not the biggest nature fan, I still love the gardens here! They've been around for a while but the updates look great. It's just a nice place to stroll around or sit and relax by the water.

The gardens have expanded over the years with additional walking paths and fountains, but if you go to the center where the oldest areas are, the main fountain is in serious disrepair. The nicer parts of the area these days are definitely towards the edges. A good place to have photos taken, even when things are not in bloom but I wish the city would take care of that center fountain - it's usually the one in any picture advertising Glencairn but isn't nearly as nice or functional any more.

I love this place in the summertime. Beautiful flowers, sitting swings and beautiful waterfall. My nephew had his wedding here and with the waterfall in the background,it was breathtakingly beautiful.
I take my book out there and read when its warm. This is one of Rockhill's hidden treasures.

Beautiful garden. Walking trails around the grounds. Many beautiful flowers. Bridges over the water. Kids loved seeing the ducks and many turtles.

The garden has grown over the years. They have the most camellia trees anywhere I have ever seen. I lived write on Crest St as a child and this was my playground. Peaceful place and a good place to go walk and de-stress.

My husband and I travelled to this garden on May 4th. I wish I had more advance knowledge of this garden such as layout, parking, facilities etc. Nothing I found on-line provided this information, so all I could do was get us to the location based on the address.
While walking this large garden, finding walk ways that just abruptly ended into grass, looking for a restroom, saw one directional sign for the restroom in the walkway pointing upwards, walked in that direction but never saw another sign, turned to walk back to the first sign, had to ask a person, who said - unless they've moved it- it's right over there -- well over there was without any signage, but after the hunt it was found.
I started this review with this information, simply to express while this is a very nice garden, with wandering walkways, it would have been nice to have seen a park map on-line to know all the multiple parking areas available. Or even a map in the brochure holder would have been nice. We wondered through about 1/2 of the garden before coming across a stationary sign map of the gardens. Good thing for camera's. Once I had my photo, at least then I knew where I was, what I was looking at, for I noticed that nothing was really labelled either to let you know what part of the garden you were in - except the children's garden, and it was easy to figure out the veteran's wall.
I was a little disappointed, when I think gardens, I think beautiful flowers literally everywhere, There was flowers, just not the quantity I had thought, I was thinking more of like a botanical garden setting. This garden was more about fountains, and just having a relaxing walk in the shade. A few nice statutes as well.

Me and my girlfriend took the kids here one evening for a walk... It have a very inviting atmosphere here... Lots of gardens and beautiful flowers to see... Wonderful walking paths run throughout the gardens... I will definitely be going back again and again... Lovely place for picnics too...

I have visited the Glencairn Gardens during several different seasons, however the most beautiful is in the spring when the Azaela's are blooming! Very relaxing. Reminds me of parks in my childhood. Wandering paths with benches along the way.

Very nice garden with a small lake, great for relaxing, pets welcome, kids can enjoy too. You can spend couple minutes or an hours if you want to.

Pleasantly relaxing, porch type swings throughout park, brenches, paved paths, gardens to view. Pretty setting at 10:15am.

Beautiful little park in the heart of downtown Rock Hill. It is absolutely beautiful in the spring when the azaleas are blooming. Very enjoyable walk through the blooming azaleas and around the fountains and koi ponds. Benches are tucked in around the Flora and fauna if you care to linger and relax. A great place to take a blanket and picnic lunch. Many a family portrait or prom photo have been taken here.

Great place for a walk. Can choose shorter or longer routes. Wandering on flower laden paths is lovely on a sunny day.

So much to see! Many paths to follow. All plants looked well maintained. Multi-level areas added dimension and depth to the surroundings.

My hubby and I consumed a huge plate of pasta and discovered this charming garden to walk it off... It's 11 acres so grab a bottle of water for a hot day. There are restrooms also.

My husband and I just visited. Very pretty. Nice walking paths, beautiful, flora, and fauna. They had several ponds, and fountains. Made for a nice evening walk with the dog.

Finally took the time to walk through the gardens...much larger than it appears from the street. Beautiful trees, flowers and water features. Great place to spend some quiet time.

This is a great place to visit with or without children. The turtles are cool to watch, along with the ducks. Various birds and squirrels can be seen throughout the walk. The plants were beautiful and bloom at various times of the year. Very well maintained.

I have been to this park a number of times and in all seasons except winter. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Usually something seasonal is in bloom. I have seen a beautiful gray crane on quite a few visits. A nice refuge nestled between some busy streets. It is dog friendly. Pets must be on a leash.

Absolutely beautiful recreation spot to relax. My understanding is this is a creation of the gardens in Scotland. I’ve never been to Scotland, but I can imagine this is what one looks like. Considering it’s so close to town it’s so quiet and has multiple places to sit and contemplate. The sculptures add such a whimsy feeling and very nice military tribute also. Definitely a must visit.

Big park and lots of old trees, spent time with my kid biking around the park and it was great fun. Bring a blanket and a picnic you can spend hours under a tree reading a book.

The gardens are pretty, but the way you hear them mentioned when you move to town, as if their some big tourist attraction, is certainly misleading. It's a nice place to take a stroll or walk your dog...but unless theres an event it's not really much of a "place to go".

Glencairn Gardens is one of the reasons my wife and I relocated to Rock Hill. It is city run and just beautiful. Is used often as a backdrop for Prom and Wedding Photos

Beautiful, well kept gardens and fountains, coy fish in pond. A lot of people were taking "memory photos" - Senior Class photos, Pregnant Mom photos - beautiful scenery

Enjoyed walking around this jem of a park. Nicely paved walkways, plenty of benches and even swings.

Thousands of plants and flowers make this a very beautiful and quiet park/resting-place in the middle of the city. Small ponds with fish and walkway bridges over them highlight the pleasant scenery of the park. A bonus is the Veterans Memorial-a tribute to all who have served.

Had some time to kill and decided to stroll through the park. WoW, It looked and felt a lot different than my last visit from over ten years ago! The newest features make it have a refreshing appeal: Expanded walk paths, more water and foliage areas.

Glencairn Gardens are very relaxing and exciting at the same time. The azaleas are beautiful in the spring but the gardens are relaxing any time of the year. The ponds and trees allow you to be aware of the bustling traffic nearby. I have taken many friends there and they are all amazed at this treasure in Rock Hill. In addition to the wonderful park setting there is an dedicated to our military that very nicely recognizes each branch.

This location is great. good benches for sitting and reading, Swings are nice, walking paths are good and areas for pictures are excellent. Ducks and fish are fun to watch. Veterans memorial is very nice.

My favorite place to go in the spring is Glencairn gardens. The flowering tress, bushes, and annuals, are exquisite. This place blows me away.

This place is beautiful! Especially when the flowers are in bloom, if you like to take pictures you will love this place. People love to have their wedding and prom pictures taken here. The fountains are nice and the swings around the ponds are a nice place to swing and relax .

This little park does not draw a,lot of attention maybe that's why it's the perfect place to walk or just sit and listen to the water sounds. Very beautiful simple place to take pictures also.

This is my favorite place to go for a picnic with my family in Rock Hill. It is beautiful. Nice shaded areas, benches, and swings.

I really enjoyed walking through these beautiful gardens which are in a residential neighborhood. The trees provide shade, so it was pleasant even on a warm day.

and depending on the month, beautiful breathtaking flowers and greenery. The city did a wonderful job making the place larger, adding bridges, swings benches, fountains, etc. Parking can be better when they have town events there, but otherwise very relaxing and zen.

We went on a Sunday afternoon during graduation season, so we saw several graduation photo shoots. The gardens were not in full bloom, but we enjoyed the stroll and the swings placed along the walkways.

This is a beautiful place to visit. When my aunt was in a nursing home in Rock Hill she would love for us to drive or push her in her chair around the garden. It is still as lovely today.

This is a beautiful park with a nice lake. You can go and walk or read in a peaceful and
nice areas. During the Spring this garden is full of azaleas . It is a wonderful place to go and take pictures of a lot of colorful flowers. A lot of couples take pictures there during the Spring after the Wedding at the church. Because the beauty of this garden.
Also during the Come and See me Festival. There is a lot of concerts here to enjoy.
If you visit Rock Hill you should visit this park.

a beautiful park especially in the spring when all the azaleas are blooming! It is a great asset to Rock Hill. Great picnic spot.

My husband and I recently moved to Rock Hill and decided to discover our neighborhood. Saw gardens on TA wanted to check it out. The gardens are lovely, mostly greens at this time of year. I can't wait to come in the spring to see flowers in bloom.

Very beautiful place to visit. The flowers are everywhere and of every color you can think of! Take some water if you go in the hotter months!

Glencairn Gardens is just that UNLESS you visit on the day spring proms are scheduled and it is photo session time! Then it is WAY too busy to enjoy any peace and quiet.
The charm of the gardens also enhances romantic walks, meditative musings, wedding settings, and even sometimes a guitar melody.
The change of seasons allows Glencairn to show off her colors, both in Spring and Autumn. Those who like to jog/walk/run find this a nice diversion from the usual or maybe use it for a "cool down."
The addition of the Veterans Gardens makes this a special place for those who have served in our military and those who honor those who have served/serve.
Don't forget this spot when you are looking for a place that provides solitude in the midst of busy-ness.

Great park with lots of walking paths, lawn and, of course, gardens. We enjoy it any time we go. Well worth it

This garden is peaceful and full of different species of plants and flowers. The staff keeps the grounds beautiful with seasonal flowers.

If you are looking for a place to just walk, see a memorial, or sit on a swing, this is a great location. You will easily meet locals walking their dogs or children and willing to strike up a conversation. A bit of quiet in the middle of a Rock Hill residential neighborhood.

Awesome place to picnic or walk especially in spring wish there were some play equipment for kiddos, this one is geared more for older than pre k people.

Glencairn Gardens has been a part of the Rock Hill community for over 50 years. It is simple, yet complex. Beautiful and tranquil. A lovely place to reflex and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. The gardens are good for the soul. A must visit if you are visiting and a local favorite. Enjoy

This is one of the most beautiful city parks, especially in the spring when the dogwoods are blooming. Along meandering paths benches and swings are strategically placed near flowering vegetation or ponds.

If you love casual weddings set in beautiful surroundings, then look to Glencairn Gardens. The ponds, fountains, flowers and trees make for a beautiful backdrop for nuptials and photos, and also create a cool oasis if the day is a hot one.

Great place to just take a casual walk and observe the many flora and fauna species. Swings planted throughout the park for your enjoyment.

Overall, Rock Hill does a nice job on their parks & facilities and Glencairn Gardens is just another example of this. A beautiful, relaxing setting in a convenient location.

Great trail for a short walk with a baby. Make sure you park by Charlotte Av. and Edgemont Av. if you ate bringing a stroller. Nice little walk where babies can observe trees, little waterfalls and a nice garden. There are also restrooms available in the park.

Glencairn Gardens is a beautiful place to stroll through the pathways and enjoy the beautiful flowers! Also has 3 connected ponds that flow down into each other and has Koi fish. Beautiful, peaceful and nice just to sit and enjot the scenery.

Our trip to the gardens was very enjoyable! All the flowers and trees were in bloom and was so beautiful! Loved the vegetable garden and the Veterans Garden! Love this place and will be going back!

First of all is free, the gardens are gorgeous, great for photos. The water Fountain are amazing. Very clean and very well maintain.Great to take your dog. I love it.

This is a great place to take the family. Pack a picnic and enjoy the gardens. The Come See Me festival is always fun and concerts in the garden are a family favorite.

This lovely park is a great place to visit in the middle of Rock Hill. I like to visit in any season to see the variety of plants. Azaleas are the star here in spring. The water features are also a favorite.

Glen Cairn is a quaint town park with a lot of history and volunteers to maintain the park. It is a favorite for prom goers to have pictures taken. There is a big pond with lots of Koi to watch and if you look carefully, you can spot dragonflies resting in the bushes near the pond. The other newer ponds seem to be in a bit of disrepair. The park has been expanded over the last few years. After we go out to eat, sometimes we just go to slowly walk it off.

Rock Hill's azalea garden is terrific, though the azaleas and camillias are not as lovely as when we moved here 35 years ago. Some were storm damaged, others just got too old. However other aspects of the garden are BETTER.Beautiful borders, nice ponds with fish (and sometimes a heron, fishing). Love the Veterans Memorial area, and the new ponds with bridges. A peaceful place to saunter or sit, and spectacular in the spring. Also special to us because our son proposed to his wife here, and we so rejoice in her presence in our family.

Glencarin Gardens is located just outside of the Old Town area in Rock Hill, SC. It is a well maintained series of gardens, waterworks, and green spaces. I work near by and often take my lunch break in the garden. On occasions such as Rock Hill's Come See Me spring festival there are outdoor concerts and other activities.

This garden is near my home, so I walk there often, especially with my dog. It's beautiful almost all year, with winter camellias, spring bulbs and azaleas. This was originally a private garden which was donated to the city. It's informal and small, just about half a city block. Great for picnics, it has bathrooms and dog pick-up stations (with poop bags and trash cans). Several nice bench swings, room for the kids to run. Two small fountains and a goldfish pond. Nice for a peaceful break.

This is a most majestic place to take a solo stroll or even a jog or a walk with friends. A great place to just sit and reflect I live for the day or the weather or whatever. It is sprawling and has beautiful views to offer no matter which way you go or whether you walk or sit.
This is an ideal place for family gathering or even a romantic picnic. There's a very peaceful feeling in this tranquil setting and it's quite safe. No matter what the season this place is always gorgeous in its own special little way.
If you need some fresh air this is a place to come and just relax. You can watch the birds or the clouds or just close your eyes and listen to all the sounds of life.

Safe, peaceful and pretty. A great place for an afternoon picnic or an evening walk. Plenty of things to see (flowers, fountains, lilly pads, fish and turtles) and plenty of room for the children to run. A hidden gem of a place!

Yes, every now and then it's a good idea to "stop and smell the roses". But sometimes we get so caught up in our busy schedules to actually do this. if your excuse is that you don't have any roses or know of a place where there are some now you have one less excuse because these gardens are the perfect place to relax, go for a leisurely walk, or just sit on a bench alongside a stream of water and smell the roses. Just do it, you'll be glad you did.

Large municipally-maintained garden. Includes many water features, a veterans memorial and a children's education center. Best viewed in the Spring when azaleas are blooming.

Beautiful gardens. Look when the literacy Festival is going on I believe it sometime in Spring they do great reading activities for the kids there. We even had our wedding photos taken there. We enjoyed every time we get to go and explore the gardens

This is a park that any bride would love to be photographed in and it's big enough to handle several wedding parties. Rolling hills, beautiful seasonal vegetation and flowers. Recently almost doubled in size so it's rarely crowded. Not a destination, but if you're here, it's a must see.

What a beautifully done park. Tranquil and pretty, with little gardens like a victory garden, a children's garden, a memorial area.... lots of "porch swings" to relax on. It's very nicely laid out, yet not "over" landscaped. It is very comfortable. Totally clean and well maintained.

Beautiful landscapes and gorgeous Azelas made this the inspiration for the Annual Come See Me Festival in Rock Hill. During Prom season everyone goes to Glencairn for beautiful photos.

This park is surprisingly big. It doesn't look it, from the parking, but there is more to it than you can see. The fountains, the lawns, the flowers - it's all beautiful, peaceful, and calming. A great spot for a picnic or to read a book on a lazy Sunday. If you need to walk to think or just want a break from traffic and business, this is the spot.
Nice park
Great place to do prom pics. Or family pics.lots of grass areas trees flowers and stairs and bridges.
