Enchant Christmas Was Great

By Richard S |

We experienced the light show at Enchant Christmas tonight. It is amazing...the entire field was covered with also sorts of colored lights making many different shapes of color, enjoyment , and Christmas. There are two tall silver white trees that serve as focal points for the celebration of lights. It is fun to walk the maze and seek out the lost toys. It is a wonderful family activity. Don't worry the maze is not constructed in the traditional manner...you can always find your way out. There is also a good selection of Christmas vendors in the Christmas Market and many of the food vendors are open serving their wonder menu offerings...enjoy a day of Christmas celebration!!

1st time to MLB game

By Veronica C |

The park is HUGE! Food/beverage choices all over the place. It was really hot but our seats were good and shaded. Unfortunately, the Rangers are not doing well. The game was very slow as most players couldn't make it past 1st base without getting out. My son who LOVES baseball decided he was ready to leave at top of the fifth inning because he was so bored. Customer service was super at shops and the lady promoting the junior Rangers!

Best "indoor" baseball stadium

By Bruce S |

And we have done all 30 ballparks. A very open feeling, easy to use park. Only issue is a not very extensive food selection.

Opening Day

By Td1126 |

This was a fantastic stadium. There is a wonderful kid zone. It is only $5 and the kids had an absolute blast. I highly recommend visiting !

Fantastic park!

By Tammy M |

Beautiful building. Easy access and easy to navigate. Great friendly staff. Several different options for eating.

Opening Day Game

By jmadura |

First time at the park and it was easy to find our seats. Food overpriced as usual but good variety. Did not appreciate that they had different streets open to drive on before vs. after the game. Coming from out of town it was difficult to know how to go about trying to pick someone off at the same place you dropped them off at when those streets were now closed. Ended up having to walk nearly a mile to until we were able to find our driver.

Part of my stadium tour

By Cyclonegup |

I visited this ballpark that’s in it’s last season of service so I could check it off my list. Based on all appearances, it could probably last a few more years. I’m sure they’re rebuilding (just across the street) so their new park can incorporate a dome and air conditioning. Very smart on their part. They must not have been expecting a large crowd tonight as many concession stands were closed. The staff I interacted with were very pleasant. Especially the employee who went out of her way to walk with me to an ATM rather than just give directions. I stayed at a nearby hotel and took a Trolley Shuttle to and from the game. Very convenient. Even though this version of Globe Life Field has only a couple more months, it’s worth a visit.

Fun ball games!

By boymomdfw |

We see a Rangers game probably one time a year. I recommend finding seats in the shade. Also a secret parking lot is the six flags lot. If you are going to six flags or have season passes, I highly recommend parking in the far lot. Go as far back as you can. Actually even if you are not going to six flags, it might be cheaper and closer to park at Six Flags.

Take me out to the Ballgame

By Haessigden |

Globe Life Park is one of the few truly beautiful ballparks. Its open-air venue makes it an excellent site for baseball games, concerts, and Fireworks. We enjoyed both the game and the fireworks show that followed on July 4th.

Rangers Game

By Deannzal |

It’s layer out nicely but not all seats allow you to see the scoreboard or Jumbotron. We were sitting in section 116 under the overhang and could not see the important stuff 😩
Good thing there building the new stadium. Food and drink is super expensive but that’s to be expected at a stadium. Some vendors have self order kiosks which is nice 👍🏻.
Luckily we were able to move seats later in the game so we could see for the last 2 innings. Oh well now we know.

Disappointing

By cdenoi |

As a huge baseball fan I want to visit every MLB ballpark and when it’s off season or team is out of town we usually take a tour. We went on a tour on 2/2 and we were excited to see #21 of the 40 stadiums. Granted, this is the last season in this 25 year old park (new one is being built adjacent to the current one) and it’s understandable that they don’t want to sink money into improvements but it could at least be clean if they are charging for tours!! Our guide had zero personality, so all in all it was a big disappointment. The plus side is we saw/had the opportunity to do things that we hadn’t in other ballparks like toss a ball in the bullpen, see the media room and batting cages.

inside is more impressive than outside

By MelissaWP |

We parked in a close lot across the street from the ballpark for $35 with easy in and easy out. Outside the stadium looks bland. Inside the stadium was expansive and nicely decorated. The concourses had plenty of tables and chairs for dining. With the roof closed and the air conditioning on, it felt so cool and comfortable inside.

Too bad it's going to go

By John K |

We go to three or four games a year at Globe Life. It is the best designed of the major league parks I've been in - in Cincinnati, New York, and Houston. Visibility is good in
all the seats we've been in. Access is made easy with cooperation between the Rangers; and the Arlington Police Department. We'll miss it!

Excellent Park

By Mark P |

This is a 25 year old ballpark that is comfortable, has good sightlines, excellent concessions and drinks. It is hard to imagine that this is the final season for this fine park, as a new one is rising next door.

Hot!

By dkbrig |

109 at game time! Amazing park regardless! If you’re a baseball fan, this park is hard to beat! Except for the new park they are building next door, this is a great place to watch a game! We were in section 231 and we enjoyed the great food and service! For the best food stay in the home plate area. Everything else was standard ball park food and prices.

More like Entrap instead of Enchant

By Tony Y |

I highly recommend families to find something different to do instead of Enchant. This seasonal attraction was poorly organized, not family friendly, and overpriced for what it is.
We stood in line for well over an hour when we had pre-purchased the tickets. Then we stood in line some more to get into the actual attraction. The lines were poorly organized. We only spent about half an hour in the actual attraction and nothing impressed us. Yes there were big light displays but nothing unique or spectacular.

The worst part of this was the lack of organization with stroller valet. We had to take our stroller to the stroller valet before we went into the lights. But when we exited, they put you on the opposite side of the ballpark from the stroller valet. We should have been able to exit right by the valet! There were many frustrated dads that joined me on the trek to retrieve the strollers and to venture back into the crowd to meet up with our families. Then after that, we had to find the exit. They didn’t put an exit by the stroller valet or by where you exited from the light displays. So out of the 3 hours we were there about 2 and a half hours was spent in line or trying to get to the other side of the ballpark!

This was a terrible waste of our money and time. Never again!

Very Nice!!

By Adaomma S |

This park is soooo beautiful. We traveled here for a conference and I was pleasantly surprised by the field being indoors.

Loved the Stadium

By Mary P |

This was our first time going to a game at the new stadium and we really enjoyed it. The roof was wonderful since it was 100 outside. Everyone who worked there was really nice and made you feel like they were happy you were there. The food and drinks were pricey but in line with other sporting venues. The seats were comfortable. We had a great time.

Pregame Experience tour

By Kathy R |

In one word- DISAPPOINTED. We are major fans of the Rangers and have been to many games but have never taken a tour so, since this is the last season in this stadium we thought we'd splurge on the more expensive tour expecting to really see the behind the scenes, hah! We spent a lot of the time standing around waiting on the guide who seemed bored with the whole process. Absolutely not worth $40

Enchant Christmas Maze

By tgdg0806 |

A beautiful way to spend an evening with family and friends. An indoor Christmas maze at the Ballpark. However the parking was a bit of a challenge as it is at every event. To much going on in the area with ballgames, music events also. We paid for parking online an ended up paying for parking again because of the other events going on in the area. The Christmas Maze was a very fun and beautiful evening. The theme this year: you are looking for Santa's toys that the Elves have stolen. A magical beautiful light show and snow blowing machines. A must see an do while visiting the area for the holiday season.Plan to spend all evening. They also have an ice skating rink for those that can ice skate.

Paul McCartney Concert

By Garland C |

Beware Of Parking Personnel:

I paid $45 online for a lot B spot (across the street from the stadium) and was turned away the night of the event. The attendants were misinformed about which lot for us to proceed and due to the overselling of lot spots, miscommunication and walking a huge distance to the stadium, we missed the opening of he show.

I called customer service - I cannot believe I was offered discount Ranger tickets instead of a full or at least partial refund. The signs advertised on the lot were $20 - why did I pay $45 online? This is dishonest at best and then to try to rectify the situation with something I don’t need (Ranger tickets) is ridiculous.

There are upcoming concerts at Globe Life Park and due to this mismanagement, you can bet we will not be attending any more events at Globe Life Park. We will also be letting folks know about the dishonesty and lack of ethics regarding this organization.

Baseball!

By humebethany |

Had a wonderful experience at the last season of Texas Rangers baseball to be played in the Glob Life Park stadium. Always love coming out to watch the game. Lines were a bit longer than usual I feel like this time, but it was Astros V. Rangers which draws a larger crowd so it is understandable. I would recommend this to ANYONE. It's great for family night, date night, or just a friends trip.

Such a great park to watch a ballgame in

By Rotel1026 |

I still can't believe they are getting rid of this gem of a ballpark after only 25 years. This is the first major league stadium I ever stepped foot in so there's definitely a sentimental connection to this place. I'm an Astros fan so it hurts to say this a bit but I really do like this park more than Minute Maid in Houston. Sadly, they'll be replacing this park with another retractable roof stadium and if they follow every other team with a retractable roof's lead, they'll open the roof for maybe 10 games a season.

As far as this park, it's got great sightlines and a great atmosphere. The downside is if this is an afternoon game, there's no real hiding from the sun. There are a few seats under cover at the very top of the stadium as well as over in the home run porch. The 200 level here is the Lexus terrace and the seats are slightly larger, which is nice.

If you're interested in a game here, check sights like stub hub as I got a great seat in the Lexus club terrace for only $6, which was a great savings over buying a seat directly from the team. There are also a good number of hotels in the vicinity because of everything there is to do in the area (Six Flags is a block away) so if you're spending the night, might want to check out one of those places that have the trolley that will bring you to the park or look at possibly taking a Lyft/Uber since parking here, although plentiful, is expensive at $20.

If you're in the area and are a baseball fan, definitely suggest checking out this place before they replace it with the new stadium.

Great seats in every price range.

By TR75025 |

Great seats in plenty of locations / price ranges. We ate in the Capital One Club which has a decent buffet and is air conditioned.

Horrible Racket During the Ranger Games

By Wendy D |

We've noticed the HORRIBLE racket watching the Rangers play on tv and was hoping it would be better in person when we attended a game. IT WAS WORSE!!! We don't know why it was decided to replace the organ with a guitar during the baseball games but it has missed the mark terribly. PLEASE BRING BACK THE TRADITIONAL ORGAN MUSIC AND LET'S GET THE CROWD INTO FIRING UP OUR TEXAS RANGERS!!

Why are you building a new one?

By Jayfromcali |

Came out from San Diego to meet up with friends and watch my Padres. The place is nice, not Petco Park nice but better than almost all other parks I have been to. Some say the new park will have AC and that will double mid summer attendance. I suggest get Beltre some help and get out of the cellar and double attendance. I like the view, oops sight lines. The food seems good they could use a larger beer selection, although this is the land of light beer.
The good the bad the ugly:
The good: it’s baseball, and the seating is very good. Lots of ways to access the stadium.
The bad: beer selection, and the most interesting “shops” are opposite of home plate in deep centerfield.
The ugly: wasting a billion dollars you will never see a return on.

Awesome stadium

By Tonya |

We are trying to get our son to as many MLB parks as we can and this one did not disappoint. We started looking in the Spring for parks that we thought would be open and we would be able to get tickets, as some we thought might only allow season ticket holders. They allowed people to go down for batting practice, but no autographs by the dug outs. Nice variety of food, the unique food I saw at this ballpark with the broomstick, which was a 24 inch hotdog. It comes with a special carrier with a handle. I believe the one with the works came with chili, cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos. I just got a regular hotdog with all of the above except the onions - it was pretty good. Hubby and son went for a plain hot dog and said he was just ok. The helmet ice cream cups are scooped ice cream, not soft serve, that was a bummer, you can't beat the chocolate/vanilla swirl. Very nice team store at the stadium as well. Would definitely go back to this stadium. We were staying at Live! by Loews and it was great to just walk out of the stadium to the hotel.

multi visits . . . . .

By C D M |

The food could be better as they are NYC prices . . . . . The stadium itself was ok but needs a facelift but as they are building a NEW stadium for after NEXT season that won't happen . . . . . Some of the staff does NOT know the seating areas or what is afforded with what tickets but hey what do you want from them they are only tickets agents / takers there . . . . . It was an ok experience but it could be better. Hopefully some of these things will be addressed in their new address.

Bad venue for concerts

By Super Trick S |

Terrible acoustics for a concert. Music just sounded like loud noise. It’s a bad venue for a concert. Just fyi, $55 for parking Aug 2024.

Vintage Ballpark but very BIG and NICE! They need to keep it! Unique to the area.

By CeeeCeee631516 |

This park is HUGE, everything BIG in TEXAS! lol,lol Plenty Parking. Vendors were plentiful. Baseball is not necessarily my game but my family enjoyed it and I enjoyed seeing them and spending time with them. I also like the being in the vintage ballpark. The architecture and old school feel of it was great!

Bye Bye Ballpark

By jerryrasmussen8 |

Great place. No logical reason to replace it. Only 25 but still looks new. Easy to park.
Sad to see it go!

Nothing wrong other than missing a roof

By larrylegend28 |

This was stadium #30 of 30 for us on our odyssey to visit every baseball park. The stadium itself is great. But yes, on a hot night (it was 102 degree at the game we went to on July 3rd), it can be uncomfortable. They're building a brand new retractable roof stadium next door, so that's be great once it opens in 2020. There's really nothing wrong with this place other than the heat. It's a beautiful stadium to watch a game. The food is out of control. We got some 24 inch chicken kabob that was outrageously good and stuffed 2 of us. Great time for sure. I'll be back at some point when the new one opens in a couple of years.

Last Year But Not Forgotten

By sid a |

The good old Ranger Park is about to be replaced by a new park in 2020 so went to see a game (against the Mariners) and see how the old place is holding up - which is very well but the food choices have become a bit lame. Regardless enjoyed the great views from behind the visitors dugout and just missed getting a ball. I wonder what the new park will look like?

Really nice stadium

By STLDood |

This is number 17 of 30 MLB parks for us. The stadium is a beauty although this is the last year for it with a new one going up. Very good tour. First time we're got to go in the bullpen! What a treat!

Great Place to see a Baseball Game!

By Steve74017 |

We went to see the Yankees & Aaron Judge hit his 62 home run. The stadium is easy to get around in and out. With the roof able to close when it is hot or raining is a very nice feature. Stays around 75 degrees inside when it is over 100 degrees outside. The food and beer are reasonably priced with lots of options. Outside there are many other restaurants and bars for entertainment before and after the game. There is a hotel within walking distance which is very nice.

Good baseball. Crazy prices

By Ljackson64 |

We enjoyed the game. It's going to be even better next year when you can be in the AC. Beer prices are ridiculous. $9.00 for 16oz. Also no Coors. Just bud products. Also the entry rules are stupid. I forgot to leave my small pocket knife in the motel. We rode the trolly so no where to put it. I had to give it up or not go. But you can bring an umbrella with a sharp metal tip.

Baseball road trip 2018

By Milton M |

So this year we are taking in the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. My recommendation would be take in a night game but if not by all means stay away from getting a seat in left field. Try really hard for first base side cause it got hot! But the game was great and the field was fun to walk around.

Expensive seats, but worth it.

By Jeff C |

Summer baseball games at Globe Life Park are mostly unbearable due to the heat. Our son sprung for some high end seats for birthdays for my wife and me (close dates). We sat in section E of the Capital One Club. There are only two rows, and we were in first row. Photo shows the great view. Besides great theater type seats and air conditioning, you had open access to a great buffet throughout the game. There was everything from chef cooked main courses to baseball finger foods. A waitress continually checked on us in our seats and brought us fresh drinks.
This was really the best time we have had at a Rangers game. It was wort the expense.

A great game with great friends

By whelm46 |

The park is nice but sadly the Rangers are not doing well this year. Great park food and the seats are good. I will go again

Downpour But Fun

By Teri S |

My first time to the ballpark and we were given suite tickets. Thank goodness for that because there was a heavy rain for an hour and a half that delayed the start of the game for over an hour. But we were inside so didn’t get wet and it was impressive how well that field drained off the rain water. The grounds crew was great. The game was fun to watch and it cooled off enough that we could even sit outside for most of the evening. Which was a good thing because those suites were small!! There were 14 people crammed into a small room with only 8 places to sit. Our “suite” had no food, snacks or anything to drink. Not even bottled water or popcorn or chips. NOTHING. We had ice but no cups. We could order food brought to the suite but they wanted $55 for a bucket of wings! They didn’t even have food on our level so we had to walk down a flight of stairs just to get a hotdog and drink. Not one person popped in and said “y’all ok? Do you need anything?” I’ve sat in standard seating and suite seating in lots of different arenas. It’s the first time in a suite where they didn’t at least have bottled water, cups or popcorn. I’m just glad the tickets were a gift because if I had paid for that “suite” I’d be very unhappy!

~ 8th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND TO SUPPORT OUR ASTROS~

By RFB10131957 |

Although it was hot here after the sun went down it turned out ok~We were here to celebrate our grandgirls 8th Birthday and her first MLB game! The food and service was impeccable and we had great seats where we had wait staff! The stadium was beautiful and we cant wait to visit again! Everyone in our section even sang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to our sweet grandgirl! She tried real hard to get on camera but she was in an ASTROS attire sooooo. Overall it was a great time with family!

Small on comparison to other modern ball field...and that's why it's a winner

By lyoninfire |

Some co-workers decided to go see the Rangers vs. Mariners while we were in town. We walked here from AT&T field (about 4 blocks). Right next to the Stadium is a number of high-end restaurants, hotels, and the new baseball field being built. Basically it is a well planned out and safe entertainment area (take note Seattle).

The stadium is small, but this adds to the experience. It is also old, and while it is not immediately noticeable, the steps and walkways are in need of some TLC from cracks.

The flow of the fans was great, and the place has a number of food and drink location. The place does not allow plastic lids or straws for your drinks, which make it awkward to return to your seats, but I found a place selling pop in a bottle, so I solved that issue.

Really enjoyed the game (Mariners won 13-0) but really, the score has nothing to do with it. The fans treated us great, and I look forward to someday returning to the new stadium which opens in 2020.

Skip the Club Level

By Steve C |

My wife and I went for the 2019 opener to watch the Cubs. Really nice ballpark. Very friendly staff. Good variety of food and beverage. However, I had read that the club level has the best seats. I definitely don't agree. We had first row seats in section 223. The seats were large and there was plenty of walking space between us and the railing and the men's restroom was convenient. That said, I found that the protective "guy wire" that goes through the structural supports is distracting. Prior to the game, we even moved back a row at a time and didn't see an improvement. There was also in-seat wait service, but our "order taker" was virtually nonexistent. She showed up in the first inning, but only after we flagged her down to place our order. For what ever reason, she would not come all the way down to the front row. She was close to us a couple of times, but concentrating on the game meant failing to see her or get her attention. Very disappointing. It's a shame that they are moving to a new park next year, although I would think that summers heat and humidity would be a big negative.

Shuttle service jumped from $3 to $20!

By Dave T |

Not pleased with last minute price change!
We spent the required $40 at Boomer Jack’s and we’re informed at the shuttle, the price is $20 not $3!

First game for my littles

By kpryor89 |

We attended the Rangers-Padres game on 6/26/2018. This was my young ones first experience with a bigger than little league game.

I am happy to report they had a great time. Every worker we encountered was beyond nice and seemed genuinely happy to be there! That is simply something that is unheard of now days.

The stadium itself is well kept and holds a perfect blend of nostalgia and new age vibes.

Thanks for the sweet memories!

Great Ballpark

By Carlos T |

I was able to obtain tickets to one of the last three games being played at this ballpark before Texas Rangers move to a new Stadium early next year. We had great seat! The staff at the ballpark were friendly and helpful. The prices for drinks and food is high! Since the Texas Rangers are moving into the new Ballpark early next year, we are anticipating that prices will increase at the new Stadium!

Really hot, but fun!!!

By cgm003 |

Our seats were in section 20, row 22. They were awesome!! Great view of the game and the stadium. Seats were near food, although you can take a small cooler in if you’d like. Stadium food is great, but expensive. Waters are $5.50, cotton candy $6.50, churros $5.50, Drinks (cup with ice) $9.00, hotdogs $6.00, etc. We went on 4th of July and sat in the visitors section. In our section (section 20) we didn’t get shade until around 6:45-7. The fireworks display was AMAZING! We had a blast! Catch a game if you can.

Memorable visit

By David Z |

Went to see the Rangers play against the Mariners with two of our grandchildren. Seats in the Lexus Club above third base provided an excellent view of all the action.

I hadn’t been to the ballpark in years but needed to see it at least one last time as this is the last season that will be played there. The new air conditioned stadium will open in time for the 2020 season.

Ticket pricing was reasonable but food is expensive.

If you have a Lexus stop by your local dealer and ask to get a window sticker. This will allow you to park at the Lexus valet parking for free; it’s normally $45

Rangers beat the ‘stros

By bpa556 |

I love this ballpark! It’s beautiful.

I have 2 issues. They’re big issues.

1. EVERYTHING is WAY overpriced. I think MLB and the Rangers forgot why baseball was America’s Past-time.

2. The beer selection is horrid. You can get Anheuser Busch products. That’s it. And you can only get a few of those. WTF is that?! In addition to the bile that everyone normally associates with that corporation, you can get Michelob Ultra. If you’re forced to drink their nasty products, at least they serve one you can hardly taste. And you’re going to pay $9.00 each time you “enjoy” one of these putrid concoctions.

Someone should remind management that this is not a soccer field in Tijuana or Juarez...

Only visited the team store in the off season

By 96skb |

We visited the team store in the off season, so can only comment on that. The ballpark looked beautiful and in good condition, so it's hard to believe it won't be used much longer. That said, I completely understand the need for an air conditioned stadium in Texas! The employees in the team store were friendly and prices/selection were as expected. I think they were doing tours, but we didn't have the time to do that. Wish we could have walked out to just see a better view of the field quickly!

Not a bad park but could be better.

By chandler810 |

The outside was decorative but didn't seem all that nice of a place. Very brick and square. The inside was nice and easy to get around. Stadium felt closed in and not much to see other then the park. Almost felt backward or something it was odd. The fans were great and they made it an enjoyable experience.

Ranger game

By Eric L |

My wife’s boss gave us free tickets to a Ranger game. We had a good time and it wasn’t too hit. Can’t wait for the new park to open.

July 3rd at Globe Life Park

By Mark S Francis |

Had a great time watching the Rangers. Night game with roof closed. Sat on 1st base side but next time will sit on 3rd base side.

Unresponsive management to tip written in

By AshleyFromTX |

We had a meal at the Capital One club for a Rangers game. The service was great and it was not crowded at all. The bill was about $120 and we left over 20% tip. When this posted to my account, the total bill was over $50 what I signed for (including the tip). I guess that the tip had been written in for over what we had already tipped. I tried multiple times to reach someone to get this taken care of, emailed and left messages for the manager and could not get any response. This is a very poor way to treat customers, especially when your business is in the wrong.

Farewell Globe Life Park

By BigJPT |

The last game I went to was last season. Cooler in September and October. New ball park will have a roof, keeping our the summrheat. Looking forward to the new park. Not exactly sure what the plan is for the old park.

Bigger Doesn't Always Mean Better

By Daniel T |

Texas Rangers play ball here. The stadium is huge, but unimpressive. The outside of the stadium is nicer than the inside. We were sitting on the first base side and there are giant pillars blocking your view.

The fans are obnoxious, the ones sitting near us were out of control: drinking and loud.

Good thing the Rangers are building a smaller stadium with a retractable roof. Too bad it won't be completed for a year.

Awesome

By Kevin C |

Excellent ballpark with the friendliest staff I have ever seen and I have been to multiple MLB stadiums.

Great experience

By Edwin R |

I thoroughly enjoy going to baseball games at this stadium it is a very nice stadium and the experience is a must.

Awesome place

By Alicia R |

Great place for baseball and a Mercy Me concert afterwards. Seats are comfortable and roomy. Prices are through the roof but that is to be expected.

Texas Rangers baseball park

By Ray Knows Vegas |

Texas Rangers ballpark not much to it the old stadium inside and out had more of a ball par feel to it. This is my 22 baseball park I have visited.

Father/Daughter trip

By GSN B |

The park was beautiful and clean. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful beyond belief. My teenage daughter and I had a fantastic time at the baseball game. I would recommend this event to everyone at least once in your life.

Take me out to the Ballpark!

By Luci M |

We had special night as a family! Uber took us to the front gate and the welcoming Ballpark staff faces greeted us We sat in perfect seats . . . Able to see everything from behind home plate! DeShields did not let us down. Choo, Beltré, Gallo, Andrus, everyone on the Team Rangers was amazing! Thanks John Daniels and family
Sincerely Team Mendoza

Nice park for a dome

By bbg130 |

this is a nice ballpark with all the amenities. It’s understandable with the heat here it’s a retractable dome, but not my kind of ballpark. Wish I had visited when the former park now Choctaw across the street was the Ranger stadium. It is a beautiful design.
Globe Life has a huge concourse and many levels with all types of food, especially bbq and meat choices.
However if you are a pescatarian or vegetarian eat before you go. One booth had a shrimp taco concoction, the salads are out of a vending machine, and the vegan stand had absolutely unappetizing looking choices. The vending machine salad was ok but came in a plastic mayo type jar. It was difficult to mix the ingredients and no choice of dressing. They come with one.
The Rangers have cheerleaders ala the Cowboys and a mariachi band that plays during commercials.
around the stadium is Lowe’s live a large building housing various restaurants and bars. Across the street In the Choctaw there is an open Mexican restaurant if you want a different choice

Beautiful park highly recommend

By Doug M |

19th ballpark we’ve visited….this may be the nicest. AC was awesome!!! Sparkling clean, beautiful stadium. Like most stadiums, parking egress after game could use some work.

Great place to see a ball game.

By Claudette C |

This was our second visit here and we were lucky enough to have the roof open for the game. It is a much different experience than with the roof open.
There are plenty of options for food and drink. Concourses are wide enough to accommodate crowds. Seats are a bit wider than other stadiums so feels a bit more spacious. Everyone we met was amazing and super friendly!

Last year for the old park. Great place to see a game.

By ItMattersToMe |

It was cold. As usual for all MLB parks the food is outrageously expensive. You can take in drinks and some food and blankets as long as they fit in the bag. No bench seats, love that.
Would go watch another game when they play the CUBS again.

Globe Life Park 2019

Very nice park to bad its the last year, hope they use it for a different venue. I went for a couple Cubs and Rangers game, enjoyed both to bad the cubs lost both. Section 52 was a great seat next to visitors bullpen in center field. This Park was #16 of the 30 but will have to come back to arlington to see the new Globe Life Field that they are building. The new Live across the street was very nice. Stayed in a motel a coupke miles away that had a trolley that was very convient to get to the game. The walk was ok also as I did that the first day to take in more of the park. Enjoyed it . GO CUBS !!!!

The park it's self is nice and clean, they don't have enough bathrooms for that many people but then again who does? The food was over priced but hey you knew that going to a concert there!

Beautiful but not fan-friendly

By Mark B |

We were there for 2 of the 3 games of opening day weekend. It was my first visit to this ballpark. Getting in on opening day was a complete cluster! Lines, lines, and more lines. Speaking of lines, every concession stand you went to - and I do mean every - was at least a 45 minute wait at minimum for both games. You had two choices - watch the game or visit the concession stand because you weren't going to be able to accomplish both. The parking was terrible and expensive. The lots controlled by the Rangers were completely full @ $20 a pop. Many of the "independent" lots were charging $60. We parked at Six Flags for $30. And the seats in the ballpark? Holy cow are they tiny!! Thoroughly uncomfortable. The only way I would go back to this park is if a team I really, really wanted to see was playing. And, even at that, I'd have to really think about it.

Nice, but tired park.

By Ben H |

From looking at the outside of Globe Life, I couldn’t understand why a new park was needed. Well, I suppose the inside kinda tells the story. Pretty outdated for today’s standard. Most new parks have air conditioned areas for club and premium seats, Globe life did not.
Seats were old, tight, and not very comfortable. Those seats were pulling away from the concrete mounts in a lot of areas too. Not really a lot to see or do here other than watch the game. The review sounds bad, but, it really was decent. Glad I made it here before it was closed!

Great baseball park

By Alexa S |

I love watching the Texas Rangers play here.
This is a pretty baseball park.
The field is nice.
I love the Ranger's Mascot it is a horse.
They have food and shops.

Another stadium checked off

By Howard S |

My SiL loves baseball and is out to see all 30 stadiums. In Texas to see the Eclipse so picking up another stadium. Nice place, impressive architecture with movable roof. We got seats in section 324 way up behind 1st base foul pole. Can see well after sun went behind roof. Big crowd. Home team is loosing bottom of 5th. The sound system is awesome at 88 DbA. Bring ear plugs! Parking is expensive at $35. All payments require a cc.

Go for a walk and enjoy the architecture and outdoor views.

By JP-Arlington |

We go for events on occasion and enjoy going for a walk and admiring the architecture and outdoor views. Central to Fort Worth and Dallas metroplex.

Final Season

By Jonathan S |

Went here to watch a game for the final season in this ballpark. If you have not been here I recommend highly trying to catch a game before they close it. Very nice ballpark and everybody was very friendly.

Hot!!!

By Foodmakesmehappie |

Be prepared for the heat!!! By all means take the golf cart ride, it’s worth the money. Food is okay.

Take me out to the ballgame...

By Sbonta03 |

Stadium was gorgeous and so was the day! Cannot believe they are making a bigger stadium right next door...I guess everything really is bigger in Texas! Oh, and the Rangers took the W!!!

Worth the visit

By Lee G |

Very interesting stadium tour. They showed/explained the mechanics of opening the roof. They took us to many different clubs throughout the stadium. We especially liked the speakeasy club and how it related to local history. Highly entertaining and recommended.

Great Experience

By DR_DAN2010 |

We enjoyed the game with front row seating in section 221. The weather cooperated and it was very comfortable outdoors. With the seats came access to the Capital One Club and in-seat service. The Capital One club may have been beneficial if the weather was uncomfortable, but with the cool breeze, not so much. We ordered one drink - sat at the bar tables - could not really see the game and passed on the post 3rd inning buffet which was not particularly appetizing appetizers. This would have cost and additional $21 per person. Perhaps the pre 3rd inning buffet - granted to those with box seats in the CO enclosure got the good stuff and could see the game from their seats. We returned to the outside. Parking would have been a nightmare as the Jerry Dome was hosting a college game. We parked nearby at a friend's house and Lyfted in and out. Overall a great experience of America's game. Global Life staff was just as friendly and helpful as neighbors.

Texas Rangers vs. Cleveland Indians

By Quentin |

This is an amazing baseball field. If this is the last year for this field I cannot wait to see the new one. My Family and I visited the globe life field twice, once for a tour and then for a game. (Texas Rangers vs. Cleveland Indians) This was my family’s very FIRST MLB game and my kids very first baseball game. You did not disappoint, the Rangers won and the Lexus club level seats and food were amazing!!!!

Ballpark 21, it's seen better days.

By K_B |

Being a ballpark chaser and with the park closing at the seasons end, a visit to Texas was a must in 2019. From the distance I was one of the ones saying "the park isn't that old, how greedy to build a new stadium" well I switched sides. Globe Life Park i'm sure had its time as a state of the art venue. Those days are sadly behind it. Number one, the heat.. WOW. This was a night game and it was 98 degrees out at 7pm. They need the roof bad. Well, on to the actual stadium. The actual structure itself is beautiful, the outside of the stadium is easy top 5. The outfield with all its character is very cool. But with the new stadium in the shadows the Rangers clearly don't care about the building anymore. The place was very dirty and the atmosphere was dead. Easily one of the worst bathrooms I've ever seen in a professional teams stadium, nasty! The stadium was empty, yet the ushers were ticket checking everyone. I was out of my seat, sorry i'm not roasting in that sun. Thought that was over the top considering the state of the stadium and team. Ended up walking around the stadium, it's sad how bad the stadium has gotten. Out of the 21 i've been to, this is easily bottom five. Place had a very depressing vibe to it. RIP Globe Life Park

Loved the park. Hated the food.

By jkav2018 |

We were on a baseball park trip. We have hit 25 of them by now. My son and I both liked the park, but the food choice are expensive compared to other parks plus some menu items are just plain goofy. Half of the items are encrusted in Fritos, Cheetos or Lays Potato Chips (obvious partnership with Lay's going on). Really good beer choices. There are plenty of items like a chicken sandwich the size of home plate that costs $27.50 or a deep fried pickle with a hot dog stuffed in it, but I couldn't find a decent brat or Italian sausage in the whole place.

Lastly, they are tearing this place down and it will only have one more season. The main reason probably is: NO ROOF! The day we went it was 101 degrees at 7:05 game time. Nice

Took my sister, in town for a few days, to see the Rangers... we enjoyed the game, since we won ...
Stadium is a great ballpark for baseball ! Lots of food and beer choices ... Customer service folks are all very friendly and helpful ...Upper Reserved section behind home plate has a great view of the park and game plays ... nice breeze blowing all thru the game ...

Wonderful , the Rodeo was great, the stadium was very impressive. I am looking forward to the COVID-19 being over, so I can return to a baseball game

4th of July!

By Julian Blayne B |

Wow! My wife and I went to the Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros game on July 4th and set in the all you can eat section, which was totally worth it. After the game before the firework show we walked over the the first base side and found some empty seats. The firework show was amazing! We will definitely come back on the 4th another year!

Globe Life Park

By Brad A |

Always a great atmosphere. Had to make one last trip to the park before the new one opens next year.

Beautiful stadium

By Sdurdin |

Drove in from Memphis for a Rangers/Indians game last night. We are Cubs fans, but we also love the game of baseball and want to visit as many stadiums as we can! Go early to watch BP and explore the stadium. It was fun watching a game without being die hard fans of either team. We went during 109 temps! Take cooling towels (we forgot ours, but luckily our seats were in the shade). The stadium is beautiful, but won’t be home to the Rangers much longer as there is a new stadium being built next door. Someone said they will turn this place into condos after the new stadium opens. I think that is a fantastic idea!

Skip all you can eat! And expect a less “Rangers” experience.

By Kristin G |

We opted for all you can eat seats, which you should absolutely skip.
1) The food is a significantly lower quality (cold, stale, served buffet style, far less choice, nachos just cheese sauce).
2) It took over an hour to get through the line each time, meaning we missed a lot of the game. The line is halfway around the stadium next to the pro shop, so it’s a long way to carry your food and drinks.
3) You can’t even see the entire field from the seats. The right field wall wasn’t even visible, which means we had to rely on the smaller TV to even see some of the field.
4) Your view is obstructed by a large TV that is only one-sided (as in, you can’t see the screen from this side of the field).
5) All the beauty and character of the old ballpark is completely lost. At best, its an ugly warehouse with a ton of advertising that happens to have a baseball diamond inside.

The one saving grace was that the staff we interacted with were very helpful and kind.

Best Ballpark in the State of Texas

By Travel-BWP |

The Texas Rangers has a very unique ballpark and it is soon to have a better ballpark with a roof so it can be cooler. The new ballpark is to be open in 2020. I love this ballpark and it is my option that it is the best in the state of Texas. Any team you are a fan of is your favorite ballpark. This one is unique with the style of its layout and character. Enjoy this one a lot.

Goodby Globe Life

By Greg H |

A recent visit to Dallas with my son and grandson was capped off by going to the Rangers - Seattle game. I learned that this was the last season the Rangers will play in this park, in that a new park is currently being constructed on the opposite side of the street. As we approached the park entrance I wondered aloud while a new park was needed. Once inside, it became more clear that the park was quite dated, compared to many other newer parks I’ve been in recently.
Our seats were wonderful, just behind the Rangers dugout. Game time starting temperature at 7:10 was 97degrees; quite uncomfortable for sure. That will not be a factor when the new stadium is completed.

All-in-all, we had a great time that evening and look forward to a return trip to Dallas after the new stadium is completed.

Ball Game

By Gidget M |

We went to a Rangers/Mariners game here and we had good seats, great service and it was a great time together. The only reason I give it a Very good over a Excellent is because where our seats were we could not see the big screen and the small screens were not positioned right for us to enjoy them. We had middle of the line priced seats by 3rd base and under the roof. It is a beautiful ball park.

Rangers versus Mariners

By avgjoey |

Watched the Rangers play the Mariners in August and now I understand why they built a climate controlled stadium. Ballpark has great sightlines and provides a lot of historical information on the Rangers. a lot of the food options and there are deals in many parts of the park. I had a BBQ special with beer and was fairly priced. My only complaint is parking is bit of a walk and cashless. The ballpark is also cashless which seems to me the new norm and be prepared to tip for everything!

Construction Zone

By nowpacking |

Yes construction is going strong at the ballpark - and parking was a nightmare this year. Tickets are available in a wide range of prices. As always, there are a lots of variety in the concessions - but expect high prices. You can also bring in your own snacks - but only soft coolers allowed.

Most fun is to ride the steep elevators to the very top level for beautiful views of Dallas, Six Flags and of course Cowboys Stadium that is just across the parking lots! There are picnic tables on the top level and while you are up there get a bird's eye view photo of the stadium. It was a tough season but baseball is still great!

You can sit on the first base side if you want afternoon and evening shade!

Rangers game

By BigBenG92 |

An old but classic stadium. Globe Life definitely lacks a lot of modern ammenities and food choices but is still a great place to watch a ballgame. Can get hot during the day. Tickets are VERY cheap but everything else is extremely expensive so I would recommend eating elsewhere prior to coming to the game.

"Nice Ballpark"

By 86MissyJ |

We went to see the Rangers play the White Sox. Neat stadium with terrific views of the field. The ballpark setting is really nice and a pretty good baseball atmosphere. Glad that we got to see it before they move to a new park.

A GREAT ballpark, doomed to progression

By Mark D |

I remember well the day this ballpark opened, and it's hard to imagine 2019 is its last season. This is a fine establishment in excellent shape, has good concessions, is easy to get in and out of, and the grounds are impeccable. It hosts big concerts (Billy Joel, Oct 12, 2019), and has plenty of nearby parking. Texas Live is right across the street. Come visit before it's too late!

Football at Globe Life Field

By Shortknocer |

We met our daughter in Arlington for the Commander's Cup football game and accompanied her on a tour of the facilities the Army athletic department would be using for the game. I was very impressed by everything I saw. The game experience the next day was equally impressive. Although the stadium was built for baseball, I must say it proved to be an excellent venue for this special event!

Great time for a baseball game experience

By JCitytraveler701 |

I am not a huge baseball fan of any team, but do try to visit the stadiums/take in a game if in a baseball town - so the Rangers were playing at home during my trip to Dallas which means I went to the game. In my opinion, compared to other stadiums I have visited, this stadium was very nice - looks excellent on the outside, and the inside shows some wear - but isn't that to be expected? shows love.... Compared to other stadiums, this is one of the easiest to get into - I parked right across the street, walked through the gate and was at my seat in less than 10 minutes from car to seat. All parking is $20, but is right next to all sides of the stadium. Take a photo op at the front entrance at the TEXAS sign! Plenty of food options - at usual ballpark prices of $6-10 and $7 drink cups. I thought it was strange no straws for drinks allowed. Fans were entertained by activities broadcast from the field between innings; and lots of vendor booths around the inner walkways were giving away lots of freebies - nice! Check out TEXAS LIVE area next door to the stadium.

Good Place to Watch a Game

By Jeff A |

I have been to Globe Life Park several times and enjoyed each visit. Overall each seating area of the ballpark has a good view and prices, though high for premium games, are competitive. During a recent series we sat in the All You Can Eat area and the hot dogs and nachos as expected were good. Cannot say the same though for the chicken patties and hamburgers. I was not a fan of them being baked/steamed or however they were cooked. Definitely lacked quality. The stadium is also not much fun to watch a game when the temperatures start getting high in the Jul - Sept time frame during day games. Looking forward to the new stadium with AC and retractable dome so do not sweat profusely when watching a game. Hopefully ticket prices will not increase to much for such convenience.

Be nice to the fans.

By Contrerasemma14 |

This was our first time visiting, and although the game was fun, the workers at the stadium were extremely rude. First time this has ever happened to us- and we've been to a lot of ballparks. Took us completely by surprise, and saddened us - that this would be the case in our own great state of Texas. Needless to say, will not be going back to Globe Life Park ever again.

fun!

We attended a game here and it was a lot of fun! The stadium was clean and the food was also good! .

Ranger Baseball Game

One of the most intricate walk ways around the stadium, it was amazing. This is beautiful stadium, but very hot in the summer, I can see why they want a stadium with air conditioning.

Worst ever concert venue

By Candy C |

We bought our tickets to see Billy Joel in January 2019. Concert was October 12, 2019. Here's what I think happened. Globe Life Park was being converted into a concert venue but they had not finished by the date of the 1st concert which was Billy Joel. We checked Ticketmaster for our seating. Since we had paid $225 each for the tickets, we were pleased to see where our seats were (supposed to be) located. Floor (which was the old baseball field) around 6 rows back. Wonderful right? No. We arrived to find no one we asked knew which entrance to go to for our seats. Finally we asked someone who sent us down 60 steps (no rails) to an area that was the outfield!. In front of us was the railing and a makeshift platform with a cash bar and port-o-potties. We could not see the stage at all and because the platform was built up and we were down in a outfield baseball seats we couldn't even see the jumbotron! We went up to the "cheap" seats to see if we could sit in empty seats there so at least we could see something. The staff promptly ran us off. We contacted Ticketmaster but got no response. The seating was absolutely nothing like the seating chart from Ticketmaster.
Shame Shame on you Globe Life Park for deceiving ticket holders because you weren't finished with you new "concert venue". Worst concert experience ever and also the most expensive!!
Never again.

Trip to the ball park

By Crystal E. |

A family trip to the ball park! OKLAHOMA STATE alumni hat night. We witnessed a grand slam, that was immediately followed by fire works. It was a great night with the family. Even to top off the grand slam, a concert was on the field after the game.

"The Final Call for this Beautiful Ballpark"

By tpalmer135 |

Well...here I go! This is the last season at this site for the Texas Rangers. I voted for the new park (I may have made a big mistake!) and really can't make an opinion of the new parks, other than it will be alot smaller and I here you will not be able to bring in outside snacks/drink items! So, maybe go this season to the beautiful uncovered stadium and enjoy a great game baseball! I went on Easter and here is the rundown of the cost...then you can set yourself a budget for the day!!! Tickets: $25.00 each x 2. These were the least expensive to get in. Next snacks: $39.00 = 2 Large Hotdogs w/chips & pickle and 2 large drinks. Then had to have a special baseball from the souvenir shop $5.99 plus tax (.48) = $6.47. Wanted a souvenir program, but that was not in today's budget...got the lineup for free on the outfield scoreboard! So, for a Grand total of $105.47, hard earned dollars...oops! I forgot to add $20.00 for parking, added it into the grand total! Now...can your family of 4 or 5, & even a good buddy you want to treat to an old fashion game of baseball, be worth this high cost I paid on Easter Day worth it?...only if the Rangers win to mask the cost for being at the house watching it for Free! It was "Only" this time because...there where alot of homeruns & they beat Houston. And, I did enjoy singing "God Bless America" & "Take Me Out To The Ballpark" at 60 years of age! And, I'm a woman that has been a fan of the game, since my brother played the game during College & Minor League for the Oakland A's. On the other hand... What I don't like is the rising cost of tickets, food & drinks at one of Americas pastime! And, the cost is going to be higher at the new ballpark! Sorry, my friends might be better to stay at the house and B.B.Q. & watch it for free, unless you have a "Grand Budget' for a day of Fun! And, if the Rangers Loose. 😢 Then you don't have to fight the traffic home! Just a suggestion, you might try the Grand Prairie, "AirHogs" games. A Minor League Club and much less cost for families. Also, there is always plenty of space to let the kids play, as you watch the game and save money for another family outing! 😊

Enchant at Globle Life Park 2018

By CCS2123 |

It was disappointing because we were not prepared for the event. Parking was difficult to navigate because there were three events going on in the area without any direction via the tickets. Easy fix - just tell everyone where to park. Do not attend if you have a child in a stroller or an older person. You have to leave the stroller behind so you have to carry your babies. Those without the ability to walk down (and up) several floors of steep stairs can not get the the field. I am grateful we did not attempt to take my mother. All of these things should have been shared in advance - it would have made it a much more enjoyable time. The ice for skating was in really bad shape. It was inexpensive $10 per head. We were glad we had the VIP passes. Food was good and it gave us a place to sit and catch our breath.

MLB All-Star

By Leslie F |

Came to Texas for the MLB All-Star week. What an experience! We were very impressed with everything at Globe Life Park. The staff were so helpful & friendly from the gate attendants to the bar staff to the security team. My only issue was that it was very hard to hear what announcers were saying during the games. Other than that, this event was so well run & top notch! Thank you Globe Life Park & Texas Rangers for your hospitality!

Commissioner's Box First Base/Capital One Club

By Member_Too |

Since it is in the last season at the Ballpark/Globe Life Park we decided to go big. I found some tickets on Stub Hub in the first base commissioner's box. First row. Great seats, but a bit pricey as you can imagine. Great view and you are right in on the action. I am including pics for reference. Watch out for foul balls and broken bats! We didn't have any balls come to us, but bring a glove and pay attention!

This seating has access to the Capital One Club behind home plate before and during the game. Some premium home plate and inside the club seats have the buffet and tables by the glass included. Ours required us to pay around $40 for adults and $20 for kids. The first round which is at gate open until the 4th inning is better quality food such as salads, cheese and fruit, sliced meat entrees, vegetables, desserts, and a small ballpark section. Handmade ice cream, shakes, and adult (liquor) shakes are available for an extra fee. There is a cash bar of course. After the fourth inning it changes to ballpark food only such as hot dogs and nachos. Be aware that by the 7th inning, all food is taken up. You will get a wrist band from your server the first time you come in. You will have to show tickets.

Our server Destiny was very nice and attentive. One of the food service managers came and talked to us, interacted with the kids and gave them a player baseball card.

A very big drawback is that you can't take any beverages out, even water, soft drinks, anything. Pretty disappointing to pay $20 for a stein with Diet DP in it and have to pour it out before we leave the glass doors.

Overall, it was a unique experience. Would I do it again? Sure, just for the different experience. Was it worth it? Probably not based on what you get considering what you pay for it. I would like to see a little more added value for the price. If you wanted to stay in the COC the entire game, I suppose you could, but you don't hear any outside noise at all. It is air conditioned. 7th inning stretch with no Take Me Out To The Ball Game/Cotton Eyed Joe is just not the same. TV's everywhere though.

Went to the game as part of the SFA night. Great stadium. One piece of advice, if you can afford it ($45) let the valet park your vehicle. Saved an old guy a long walk in the heat. Stadium was well thought out. Easy to navigate. Enjoyed the game and the experience.

Baseball Yes, Concerts No!

By Scott R |

Saw Steve Miller, Journey, and Def Leppard. I was surprised at how horrible the sound was. It was a reflective nightmare. Acoustics were horrible with sound bouncing all over the place. Great place for baseball, but I’ll never go to another concert here.

Amazing Tour

By marleytad |

Globe Life Park offers tours (check website for times as they do vary) Drew was our tour guide, he was very kind, took time to chat with each person (family, couple) on the tour. You could tell he just LOVED baseball. The tour you around the stadium, into the dugout and press room and press box. Very nice tour, great tour guide.

MLB stadium #10

By Laura K |

Attended night game unfortunately seats were in direct sun, went to shaded section with open seats and usher kicked us out. Stadium is not that old so unsure reason for building a new stadium other than for indoor. Liked that they played song from natural when ranger hit a home Run and drawing of players.

"Club" seats are not CLUB at all

By Tracy N |

In my adventure to see all MLB stadiums, this was number 22. Knowing the age and that they were currently building a new stadium, my expectations were not high. It's in really good shape and well kept. Other than that, it was just ok. Food options were boring on the concourses. The biggest dissappointment was the "Lexus Club Level," it is literally laughable. It is open to everyone and there is not "climate controlled" lounge area, like every other club area in the previous 21 stadiums. I cannot believe they even consider this "club." The real highlight of the stadium is the Jack Daniels club- the area and buffet option was very nice and well done. I am looking forward to the new stadium, because this one is not fan friendly.

How can anyone not be romantic about baseball

By Jonathan D |

We were not able to see a game because the Rangers were out of town, but we did take a tour of the ballpark which included dugouts and visiting and home clubhouse. Very cool place.

Great ballpark

By VAFamilyof5 |

Not sure why they need a new one other than to have a roof. We’ve been to 23 MLB parks and this one ranks in the top half. Good food options. Easy to get in and out. Sit on the 1B side to avoid the sun. It was 98 the day we went, and only cooled to about 90 at 7 pm but lower level down the 1b line was fine.

A beautiful facility that is very clean and family friendly

This was my first trip back to a major league park in 20+ years. It was truly a great experience. The graphics were great and helped us enjoy the game. My Wife is claustrophobic and she LOVED it, because of the open feel. Great Experience

See it before it's gone!

By Kevin A |

I have spent hundreds of hours at this stadium, through its many name changes. Some good years for the Rangers, some pretty awful, but the stadium never let me down. The architectural detail put into the design is truly remarkable. It harkens to the great ballparks of days gone by.
I look forward to games at the new stadium, but I will always fondly remember this one.

not the best acoustics

Much Cooler + Parking Tip

By HuskerTraveler2 |

It was beautiful to step in from 94° to 73° AC. The outside look of the building smacks of a convention center, but the broad and well-lit concourses were so much better than many of the concrete catacomb-feel walkways of other stadiums I have seen in the past.
Was a little disappointed in the too gentle slope of the padded seating, as we found ourselves looking looking around the fans in front of us often. The sound system left something to be desired, but the video boards are amazing. This was my 39th 40th Stadium to visit and we got to see Ohtani pitch and hit for the Angels.

PARKING TIP -
Come in on Six Flags Dr and turn north on E. Randoll Mill Rd. Park in one of the first private parking lots. You can get out of the area quickly by turning right then U-turn in 1/2 block and head south, jump on Six Flags.

Netting took away from the experience

Classic Texas ballpark

By Michael H |

One last visit to the great Texas ballpark in Arlington.
It is a really enjoyable venue, great nightlines, easy to move around.
A pity that they decided to build a new park even though it is only about 30 years old.
Of course we are now looking forward to a great new stadium in Globe Life Field with its sliding roof and more modern facilities.

The Last Days

By Tom S |

I witnessed the first game in this beautiful ballpark. 25 years later, the Texas Rangers will move to their new “roofed” stadium next door. Come and watch a game!

Lots of escalators and stairs but the park is in nice shape but yes they need a roof for the heat!

By Carrie O |

Almost everyone was so friendly and helpful. Only one usher was rude to me which is why four instead of five rating.

Must do if in season

By Micheltravel |

Baseball is Amerikas favourite pastime, so if you are visiting and the Rangers play at home, go. About 40 minutes from downtown Dallas, not really close. Try to find tickets at Stubhub, depending on the game, should not costs more than $20 for a really good seat.

Easy to get by Uber, also lots of Uber waiting outside in designated area when you want to go back.

Terrible acoustics for concerts

By Rick P |

This was the second concert our group of friends have gone to at Globe Life. The acoustics at the first concert last year, Chris Stapleton/Willie Nelson, were the worst I've ever heard at a large arena. Echo and reverb were truly awful, to the point you couldn't understand most singers words and instruments sounded very muddy. The concert this year was slightly better, probably due to where we were sitting. No one around us could understand any of Marcus King's vocals. Tedeschi Trucks Band's vocals were slightly better but echo/reverb still very negatively effected the sound quality. Sound was slightly better for Chris Stapleton but once again echo/reverb seriously degraded the sound quality to the point you couldn't make out a lot of the vocals. At both concerts everyone around us who commented on the sound quality commented it was some of the worst sound quality they had experienced at a live concert. Our prior concert was at AT&T Stadium and the acoustics were quite a bit better even though it too has echo/reverb issues. Globe Life needs to seriously hire an acoustics engineer to determine if they can fix, or at least improve the acoustics in this arena before hosting another concert.

The stadium was packed for a great show on a beautiful fall evening. The problem is during the heat of a summer afternoon.

Disappointing experiences

By Cassidy C. |

I'm a huge baseball fan, and have visited 12 MLB parks so far. This is by far my least favorite, for many reasons. Firstly, it's been filthy both times I've been (about 6 seasons apart). Secondly, the fans are extremely rude. We were directly taunted the first visit here, which has never happened at any other park. This happened in the ballpark, in seats and corridors, and also walking to and from parking. I've been in the bleacher seats as a visiting fan at Wrigley, never an issue anywhere like this. (And we weren't even wearing gear from the opposing team either.) Third, the rudeness from the staff. Unfortunate that this is the closest MLB park to my current home. I give it two stars because, at least it's baseball.

A good time had by all

By Alan Y |

Better than tv, crowd fun, ballpark franks, beer, cheese nachos, good action. If I were to visit Arlington again during season play, I definitely would go to another Texas Rangers baseball game. Weather was cooperative, the people friendly and helpful, and the fireworks show afterward spectacular as burning embers of the firecrackers rained down on us. Ballyhoo.

Rangers loose but a great atmosphere

By may2004bride |

We went to an evening game and sat in section 22 row 4. We were able to experience the Capital One Club for air conditioning and bathrooms and then later enjoyed the mini buffet for $21 each. Soft drinks, dessert, hot dogs, pulled pork, nachos, mini flautas and burritos were all
Included after the 4th inning. We also went to the kids zone for $5 it was a nice place to have the kids cool Off and have fun. Seats were amazing. Staff were great.

Love baseball!

By Tracie D |

I love baseball and I love this ballpark but be careful where you sit. The seats behind left field can be hotter than the surface of the sun.

Rangers v Yankees

By Jane F |

The seats are so tight you are constantly having your space invaded. There is no air circulation and at the end of Sept. the temp at night was 95. But most critical of all, do not plan on getting and Uber after the game. There’s only 1 pickup location at Lot D where there are lines of people, lines of cars, and dead stop traffic. Not a favorable experience. Building a new stadium across the street. Hope Conditions improve.

Worst music venue I've ever been to

By Alex C |

Do not attend musical events here. I genuinely cannot hear the music over the echoing and terrible sound system. I've been to death metal concerts that had more clarity than this and this was a Journey concert. Great ballpark. God awful music venue.

Too Hot to Fairly Rate

By mnySpnt |

We attended a night game with a 7:05 first pitch that set a record temperature of 107 degrees. When we purchased our tickets, the sales rep pointed us in a specific section that would ensure that we were in the shade, which was not the case until the sun finally fell behind the stadium roughly around the 3rd inning. We also were convinced that the “All U Can Eat” section was the best bang for our bucks, but the Nachos were inedible, the hot dogs were bearable and the chicken was so dry that we basically got full on soda and from sampling bad food. I know you might ask, how high are my standards for simple ball park food, but if I had stood in line and paid top dollar for any of these items; I would have stood back in lines and demanded my money back.

Texas Baseball at its best!

By Lisa F |

I attended the Rangers vs Astros game last Monday. The folks at this stadium are so warm and friendly. The ballpark is beautiful and the overall atmosphere is so positive you can’t help but be in good spirits. The food options are generous and you can’t help but gave a good time. It’s sad to see that this will be the last season for this park.

Excellent Ballpark

By Don N |

What can I say, I'm a Ranger's homer, and I LOVE this ballpark. I love everything about it. The shops, the food, the seats. Just love being at a game.....except for one thing. THE HEAT. It can get really hot and not a lot of airflow in some spots. While I do love this park, I will attend more games when the new one is built. I will still go, still endure the heat, still go with friends and have a great time. But climate control is a real thing for the future. :)

Games day

By Vigur |

Great game and snack that never end . Great place for a outing if you love baseball. Also good for a family day or night out Friday night fireworks a must.

Don't know why they're replacing it!

By Alison D |

The stadium was beautiful and seemed to be in good shape. I don't know why they're replacing it. Maybe to make the seats bigger because it was tight for two adults seated side by side. The concessions system is absolutely ludicrous. Ordering from the kiosk and then having to go to a separate line only caused confusion as far as I could see. But the flow of people was good, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we really enjoyed our visit.

Love this ballpark!!!

By Jim D |

I've been to see around a dozen major league ballparks in recent years and this is one of my favorites. Most of the seats offer good views. This venue has some unique features. It has a big park feel but is not vanilla like some of the other stadiums. Wish they were not going to tear it down!

Excellent baseball venue!

By CharlieinTexas |

So, as some have said, the stadium looks like a warehouse from the outside. Somewhat sterile in the food vendor areas; Obviously built for function, not architectural beauty.

But, great place to watch a baseball game.
Wonderful playing area/field and viewing area. Viewing screen and other electronics are excellent, lots of statistics, and great quality picture. Place has a very clean feel when you look out onto the field, with good site lines. Certainly not a place that you are going to become nostalgic about, and the ball park at Arlington had a lot more character. But, this stadium is a lot more functional, particularly with the roof.

Friendly servers. A fun day at the ball park!

Winter Christmas maze program

By Mike D |

Appealing to families and all ages, this annual event is worth attending. Exhibits are part of the event, but the opportunity to wander the inside of GLP and perhaps have refreshments combines to make this a fine alternative to other Winter events.

Nice experience

By Mark P |

The ballpark was clean and food was good. Parking was not too bad. I am looking forward to the air condition comfort of the new ballpark.

Nice park!

By KimberlyB1974 |

Very nice park we finally visited in it's final season. Hard to locate where you're supposed to park if you just want general parking and once you park you have to walk quite a bit, but I still enjoyed the visit. One other note: the ushers don't seem to be worried about shooing people away from the aisles, so there was lots of talking and mucking about in the areas outside of the aisle seats - not a huge concern, but I would have liked to have heard less about Susie's boyfriend and more from the stadium. Also, I forgot to mention that this stadium has a lot of giveaways, so that was fun!

Will miss “The Ballpark in Arlington”!

By Travel80 |

Attended the Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners game on July 31 and the Rangers vs. Detroit Tigers game on August 2nd. Have really enjoyed the “The Ballpark” over the past 25 years since it was first completed in 1994 and compare it to Progressive Field in Cleveland (completed the same year) but also looking forward to the the Air Conditioning in the new stadium next season!

Baseball Game

By Kimksp |

Our first baseball game. The place was set up well. Quick to get inside with lots of staff to help. We really enjoyed the game. There was lots going on in the stadium as well. The merchandise was really expensive. We saw it cheaper in the stores outside of the stadium. Food was also expense. You could however bring in your own food and drinks in a cooler. Lots of parking close by. You did have to pay $20 for parking however you were 20m away.

Paid for parking not available

By Teresa T |

Went to Paul McCartney concert on June 14, we paid $50.50 ($45 plus 5.50 internet and handling fee) for parking in Lot B. When we arrived the lot was chained off. We were told the lot was full and to keep moving. But we showed them our printed tickets and they said sorry, full. We drove around for another 40 mins and parked far away. Needless to say we missed about 45 mins of the concert. I have called the stadium 6 times now, I have left several messages. I have been told by a couple of people that they have gotten several calls. I said fine, I want a refund for my parking pass. I have been told that right now there are no plans to do refunds or anything. I have left messages with several folks and no one will return my call. There was a sign outside Lot B that said $20. Someone on one of my calls said that didn't apply to the concert just ball games. All I know is lot was full, I paid and didn't get a space and they are not giving me a refund.

Ball game

By matthO5835PI |

Great ballpark to watch a game. Kinda sad that the stadium only be around for a couple more years but I also look forward to the New stadium where the heat won’t bother you in the hot summer months. Food and drinks are pricey but no more than any other stadium.

great ballpark, lots of options for food and drinks

By familyoffiveMissouri |

I have been here several times for Rangers home games and I love this venue. Clean bathrooms, great service, good security. And lots of options for food and drink.

Rangers v Dodgers

By Donald M |

This was our second time to the ballpark. We took a little less expensive seats but they were still great. I grew up in LA and was pleased that the Dodgers won. They actually had $1 hot dogs which was great and $7 sodas which was not. All in all this is a nice ballpark too bad they're tearing it down for a new one.

Nice, but extremely hot

By Danielle P |

My bf and I are trying to visit every MLB stadium, so once we heard the Rangers were building a new stadium for next year, we decided to hit this one before it closed for good. This stadium is extremely well done. It's clean and well laid out. The staff were all extremely nice. But I understand why they're building a new stadium with air conditioning. We were soaked in sweat during the day game.

A great ballpark, create great memories.

By Mark T |

The stadium opened in 1994.2019 is the last season of this great ball park.If you are baseball fans, please visit here.
-Parking are everywhere. The closer the locations are, the higher you pay.The longer the distance to the stadium is, the cheaper it is.However, you have to walk. There are 6 flags and AT&T stadium, you may expect heavy traffic around the area.
- The ball park doesn't have roof. When it is raining, you have to evacuate.
Sadly, Rangers hasn't been a world series champion here.Hope Rangers win the 2020 world series at the new stadium.

Great ball park, but last major league game played there end of September.

By Floyd O |

While this was a great ballpark in design, with a lot of amenities and perfect views, it got quite hot all summer. The original Globe Life Park, previously Ranger Stadium will only be 26 years old when it is replased by the new one with a roof that opens if it is too hot. As a Detroit Tiger fan all of my life, I would have to say that 26 years is rather short lived for a major league stadium, since Tiger Stadium lasted 3+ times longer than that. I will not even mention the Tigers record this year, but World Series Champs in three of my 75 years. Not sure how much of the original Ranger Stadium will be left.

Great baseball stadium!

By David Milford |

Great stadium to watch the Texas Rangers play some ball! Sad to see that it’s the last season for this ballpark. Excellent views from all around the park!

Good until you had an issue

By Terri R |

If you leave your phone in the stadium, don’t think you will get it back! My phone was left, I went immediately back, it was already gone , and the lost and found rep said I would have to check back the next AM. My husband and son tracked my phone , and several hours after the game ended they noticed it had left the stadium. They found it at the subway down the street tossed in the grass! Don’t trust lost and found at Globe life!

Baseball and fireworks!

By Laura O |

We had the opportunity to attend a Rangers game yesterday, July 4th, so we got to enjoy the festive celebration after the game with beautiful fireworks. Park is gorgeous and well kept. We also did a tour two years ago and loved it. You’ll have a great time with family or friends.

Great ballpark

By cnanrw |

Haven’t been to a baseball game since 1962 when the Washington Senators were a team. The Senators begat the Twins and the Rangers, and since I live in southeast New Mexico, I chose the Rangers to follow. Finally got a chance to see a game at Globe Life Park. Beautiful stadium edifice, very easy to get around. Although the seats were close, they weren’t that bad. Watched the Rangers beat the Angels in a rather exciting game. Of course the cost of snacks are expensive as it is in any sports stadium.
Sad to see it being closed when the new stadium is completed. And surprised to see netting over the dugouts. Never saw that in DC.

Lexus Club Level for Rangers Game

By Kevin E |

Went for the Rangers - Sox game. Was a little disappointed that the Lexus Club level seats did not have some sort of climate controlled area to go to. The in seat service was great. Limited selection of Bud products to drink. Park was very clean and staff was very attentive. This is last year for park before Rangers move into new stadium with retractable roof.

HORRIBLE concert venue

By Shelley S |

Just saw Green Day. Sound quality was horrible in the stadium. I was praying they would open the roof and that that might help things. They didn't. Will never go to another concert there.

Last time at this stadium...new one being built

By 501julia |

Family friendly baseball outside where baseball is supposed to be played in the summer. We went for my birthday.

Can not believe

By okmgb |

Can not believe they are replacing this ball park after only 25 years. I thought it was a very good park to watch a game. I would be very upset if I was a taxpayer replacing this park. Not a thing I could see wrong with it. I guess the only good thing about a new stadium is a roof I hear.

Fan- tastic ball park

By Craig N |

unfortunately this grand ball park is n its last season to make way for a new better one- heard it will highlight the great features from this park in to the new. This has been the Rangers home for most of my baseball loving life and have had great memories here. it has the usual ball park flare and the prices are what is to be expected in today's economy. but it is worth a visit has a ole timely park feel that great ball parks should have.

Awesome Baseball Park

By Benjamin&Carmen |

We are visiting all the baseball parks in the USA as a way to see the USA. We stand for the National Anthem of this great country. United we will keep God as ruler of our great country. We are retired military and stayed at a great budget hotel close to the park. There are plenty of paid parking lots, but we rode the free trolley to & from the park to our hotel. It was a windy day with some rain drops, but no lightning, so we enjoyed the game. The staff at Globe Life Park where the Texas Rangers play are awesome, especially Mike. Customer comfort and enjoyment is first on his list. We like to do fun things here on the mainland as a married couple from Maui

Rangers baseball

By tandnsig |

First time to Globe Life Park with two young children (9 & 2). The ballpark is located near Cowboys stadium and Six Flags and easy to find. I’ve been to other MLB parks and this was one of the most reasonable for the money. Tickets behind home plate for $45 each, parking $20 , food was what I expected and okay although not anything I’ve found that was truly special like other ballparks.

Bang for the buck, this was a worthwhile entertainment. I know the new stadium is being built across the street so enjoy the value while it lasts DFW!

Fun place to see a concert!

By wwfrench |

We went to see Jason Aldean here this past weekend ! Our seats were on the floor, by the schematic on the website we thought we were on the front row
In front of the stage but actually it was just in front of equipment :( loved the venue for a concert though! Beer was hard to come by, while standing in long lines for the port of potty a vendor would come by and sell beer... nice to have the golf cart runners take you to and from the parking lots to the stadium!

Hurry before it’s too late

By UTpeter81 |

The ballpark is awesome. I’ve been more than a dozen time is the past few years and the venue never disappoints.

Go Rangers!

By Samantha |

This year is Globe Life’s last season in operation before the new stadium is completed, which is really sad but good! The stadium is nice and clean as always with plenty of food/drink/souvenir kiosks. The staff is very helpful to help you find your seats and keep you comfortable.

The good:
-lots of food drinks and souvenirs
-friendly family atmosphere great for anyone
-you get to watch the rangers play
-escalators to the upper levels
-due to the heat and sun you’re allowed to move to different seats to be in the shade if they are available

The bad:
-HOT, most seats are in the hot sun and in the dome there is no wind.
-the seats are quite small so you are very close, touching the person next to you
-steep steps down into the seats (particularly level 3 going down to the lowered number rows)

One of the best MLB fields!

By Cody H |

This field is amazing! We went during the heat of summer and having the game inside was such a game changer. The employees were so nice and helpful! Great place to enjoy a baseball game atmosphere.

Great way to celebrate the 4th! 🇺🇸

By Chshrcat873 |

We had good seats, enjoyed the wonderful flag ceremony, but had to leave early, in the 6th inning, due to heat and humidity.
It was even more hot by the concessions, found relief outside stadium and watched fireworks going off at nearby 6 flags park before driving away.

Fun Rangers game

By vbuckelew |

We really had a great time watching the Rangers. We try to go once a year since we live 6 hours away. We are going to get outfield tickets next time. We think it would be fun to watch from that perspective.

Ballpark great - MLB App not so much

By Arthur Sievers |

The tour was excellent and the game experience was excellent also. Club experience food was a treat. Glad to have public transportation. My only negative is the Major League Baseball app which caused me to buy multiple tickets because it doesn't allow you see what you have in the queue

See It Soon, Before it is Gone!

By robertaS299PA |

Loved this stadium, it has an old field, but is a newer park. The Rangers will play here for the remainder of the season before moving to a new park in 2020. It was hot, but there are plenty of places to eat and get drinks and cold snacks. There were not huge lines or crowds. Get here early and walk around and enjoy this park.

Ballpark tour

By Dewayne P |

I haven't seen a game here, but hope to in the coming season. I did take the Clubhouse Tour while in town though and it was a phenomenal experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, getting to learn about the club's history was educational, and seeing a lot of spots in the stadium I wouldn't normally see (Ranger's clubhouse, catch on the field, etc.) was a real treat.

Beautiful place

By annerace16 |

Can’t believe they are going to tear it down. Many good memories of this beautiful ballpark. Not a bad seat in the house, however, I’ve never sat in the nosebleed section. The food is pretty darn good as well. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our visit

By Carrie G |

We're on a mission to visit all the MLB parks and were not disappointed at this one! The kids area is very nice. Love that they block the entrance so the kiddos cannot get out if they run out of mom/dads sight. The prices were comparable to other stadiums. The staff was not the most friendly--but not the worst. All in all we were able to enjoy the game and have fun as a family.

Play Ball!!!!!!

By Jack |

I've watched baseball at the Globe Life Park several times per year. I like this park because it offers so much - close parking lots, free parking for disabled veterans, shades in the stadium, kids playing area, family picnic area, and fair ticket prices. They usually have promotions going like $1 hot dog nights, military appreciation nights, and several give aways every year. You might want to check the promotions before scheduling your game to maximize your stay and experience.

The only thing I was not able to do was eat $1 hot dog every inning. I failed.

Rangers vs Astros

By Virginia H |

Great stadium, and the Astros won!! Parking was good and there were plenty of places to eat around the stadium.

Nice ballpark

By kkashiwai |

Loved the stadium. Good ballpark food. Really hot and humid in the summer obviously. Hope to visit the new stadium with temperature controlled dome.

Bring snacks!

By MichaelZ794251 |

This is a classic ballpark. Not a bad seat in the house, decent prices and great food. They let you bring in food and sealed drinks. Love Globe Life!!

Commissioner's Box -- First Base? Meh.

By twopeasonepod808 |

My twins are 12. Our goal is to see all the parks by the time they are 18. I think this was #16? I took one of them on the 4th of July. We didn't have high expectations for the stadium overall, as we know that the new one is being built. We did have high expectations for Commissioner's Box seats. They were mediocre. Padding, but no extra leg room. No cup holders in the front row, so you have to put your drink on the ground, which also has a crevice at the seam of the front wall. So basically, a river of liquid flows down the crevice when there is a spill from even the section next door. No in-seat wait service. You have to walk farther than you should to enter the Capital One Club (entry is on the concourse behind home plate).

I realize this is an older stadium, but I really wish they would do something to separate the really inconsiderate people who don't have tickets in the front, but continue to encroach and rush down between innings to try to get balls. In several of the parks we've been to, the stadium either has separate entry for lower levels or they do a much better job keeping fans at bay who don't have tickets for those sections. I get it. We're all excited. None of the Rangers even approached our area, so they were all in our way for nothing.

The family behind us had five people (three kids) in four seats. The ushers kept telling them they had to send one person to the ticketed seat (third deck) or even just a different unoccupied seat, but the dad literally told the usher he felt "harassed" and "what's the big deal?" I don't think they were bad people or anything, but the big deal is that we paid a hefty sum per seat, and it isn't fair to others who actually paid for their seats. I find it odd that people are so self-absorbed. The security guy was pretty unfriendly, too. So that wasn't fun. I don't know why it's so hard for people to just be kind and have some compassion.

The Capital One Club was just okay. The staff was super nice and very accommodating, but the buffet is expensive $43 I think for the first one, and then $23 for the second round (more like ballpark fare). We ate at the second one, and my son had a hot dog haha. Should've just bought it! I got him a milkshake for $13.50 (without tip), which he loved, but is pretty expensive, even for a park. The beer choices weren't that diverse. They did make good mixed drinks. Bartenders were probably the best part of the experience.

The store was another disaster. We paid $145 for a youth personalized jersey. Then waited almost 40 minutes for it to be made! Not sure why it took so long to iron on some letters and a number. Frustrating.

So....overall, it was okay. The seats put you close to the action, but that is truly the only benefit. Don't expect anything extra. Out of the 16 parks we've been to so far, this is for sure in the bottom 3. We'll give Globe Life Field a whirl when it debuts. No need to return to this one.

Lots of wonderful, lasting memories 💕

By Dawn J |

Great venue! Pricey, but worth it! The grounds are pristinely maintained and the environment is electric! Even though the Rangers will soon have a new home, I have no doubt that this venue will be the home of many more great attractions ❤️

good

By Joel G |

if you're staying nearby, i recommend using a ride service like uber or lyft. for 7pm games, section 19 (on 3rd base/visitor side) all the way over to the home dugout side is in the shade. i'd also eat before and/or after the game as the drinks alone will set u back at least $5 for water and at least 8 for a soft drink ... beer is more and the frozen margarita was about $14.... but thats any stadium or arena

Awesome park, sad to see it go

By lalaleia |

Had to make a trip to see the stadium before it’s new one opened. Sat in between third and home, Greta views! Huge!!!! park with lots of food options for any kind of eater. My husband doesn’t eat meat and they had a dedicated vegan stand so that was awesome! Loved the kiosks that you order from. Only complaint is the seats seem really tiny and smushed together making it super uncomfortable for tall people. Can’t wait to see the new park!

Elton John concert 9.30.23

By Jim P |

Have a consultant fix the sound system at globe life field in Arlington. the speakers are blown or something. It sounds like wolves howling. You cannot even understand what Elton John was saying hate on certain tones of his music the sound system drowned out the entire band for two hours. It was embarrassing and horrible. I will never go to another concert at globe life field.

Last year at Globe Park

By lburry |

I attended a spring exhibition game at Globe Life Park at the end of March 2019. The park and field are beautiful and tickets are normally affordable. I have attended Texas Rangers games before so this was a return visit. As always, parking is nearby and somewhat reasonable. Lots of concessions, friendly people, and of course a great day out watching professional baseball. The only drawback of Globe Park is that there is no public transportation available. I have to wonder if this is part of a plan from the municipal administrators so that everyone has to pay for parking. And btw, a new baseball stadium is being built nearby so 2019 will be the last season for professional baseball at Globe Life Park.

Beautiful - Can't Believe It Will Be Unused In 2020

By Dan S |

I attended a Rangers game here in late July. While not a fan of either team playing, I am a fan of Baseball and getting to visit other ballparks while on vacation! This ballpark is really nice! I walked around before the game and was impressed with the stadium and how it looked. So, while I understand why they want a stadium with a roof that's climate controlled (7:00pm game time temp was 107F, at 10:20pm completion was still 95F), I can't believe this one is being discarded while still in great condition.
I'll add that I stayed at a nearby hotel (within 1 mile) and walked back and forth to the game. The hotel offered a shuttle to the game too. The only downside to walking was crossing heavy traffic intersections, but manageable nonetheless. As I was close to the parking lot, I was greeted by an employee on a golf cart that offered to drive me to the gate. That really enhanced my experience!

I’m Melting

By 821dianaa |

Attended a game between Texas Rangers and Astros. The game started at 7:05pm so you would expect the heat not to be as bad as maybe 2:00pm. (Wrong) The heat was unbearable. Had to get some paper towels from the restroom ( dripping wet paper towels )to place around our neck. We enjoyed the game and the fireworks. Just too darn hot...... I appreciated the ability to take in my purse (did not feel bad about it being searched) one can even take in their own water and some foods. Other than the heat Game was amazing.

Elton John Concert

By melinnewberg |

The acoustics at the Elton John concert were horrible. It sounded like the band was inside a tin can and the echo was terrible. Very disappointing to pay so much for good seats and not be able to enjoy the sound or understand the words! Where were the sound engineers?

Will not be going there for any more concerts!

Last Chance

By Scott P |

Make sure to take a stadium tour. New Stadium opening in 2020. Very friendly staff. We were there for 3 games and it was over 105 degrees every game. Brutal way to watch a ball game. Owner was not thinking when they built this stadium by not adding a roof!!!! Ushers allow fans to move closer wherever there are empty seats. Nice club and restaurant inside the stadium if you pay for the Premium Seating.

Still the best ballpark

By Santeebratsmom |

I've been a die hard Rangers fan for many years. I was in San Diego for 10 years but never attended a Padres game. I am now back in Texas and loving keeping up with the Rangers. Finally got to see the Rangers play the Padres for two of their three games. I am and always will be a Rangers fan and this ballpark is truly amazing. I love everything about it. The structure, architecture, everything. And the staff goes above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and memorable. Sad to think it will soon be gone for an indoor field. This place hold many happy memories for me and my girls and I can't imagine that the new stadium will possibly compare.

Total disappointment

By griver34256 |

Our tour guide was dull, he would have side conversations with certain people/families only. He called one of the players African American players "Gorilla." I am not saying his intentions were to be racist, but it was simply inappropriate. We were the only Latinx there, and the two that he avoided most often. Again, I am not saying his intentions were to be cruel/unsensitive, but he just was. I was very angry & frustrated the majority of the tour, but was not "allowed" to exit until the tour was over.
The only plus was that we got team face masks and we got to meet chuck Morgan. He was very nice!

LAST Concert in Globe Life Park-BILLY JOEL

The last Texas Ranger’s baseball game happened about a week ago and now the last concert in this great Ballpark, the great Billy Joel. One of my wife’s neighborhoods friends growing up, back in old Hicksville Long Island.
What a way to retire this great ballpark. You can’t imagine what great history has been made in this beautiful ballpark.
But the history continues across the street in our new state of the art Texas Rangers Ballpark. Which opens next season.
See you there,
Capt D.

Beautiful historical ball park

Its a shame that they are building a new stadium for the Rangers across the street. The current stadium is breathtaking! Great food and drink options!

Worst Concert Audio Imaginable

By Kimberly D |

The worst audio for a concert!!! Attended the Stray Kids concert and could not hear anything clearly. When artists were speaking we could not hear them. The artists were clearly annoyed too. Incredibly disrespectful to the artists and awful as a fan and consumer, especially considering how much we pay for tickets. I was so excited, but this locate made this really disappointing. This is a common complaint. Why has nothing been done? So bad.

Haven't found a bad seat yet

By BigDogKat |

I've sat in probably 15 different sections over the last 2 years and haven't found a bad seat yet. There are advantages to the "nose bleeds" specifically lots of shade behind 1st base line which is important for summer games in Texas, the all you can eat section is great for my teenager and her friends, the camaraderie of the seats behind 3rd base where we can heckle the other teams even if the sun leaves us redder than when we walked in - all the seats play into a great visit to the ballpark.

First time visit

By Ashley T |

First trip out to an MLB game! Really enjoyed ourselves. Felt super safe at the stadium with bag checks, metal detectors, and security all around. Every single staff member we interacted with was super helpful and pleasant (imagine Disney staff members) from the girls taking payments for parking to the front gates and the beverage workers. Could not have asked for a better experience. And the Rangers won!

Everything is Big in Texas

The ballpark stand tall with an immense brick facade. Inside there is a great tiered stadium with plenty of room to stroll, lots of great food, especially barbecue and plenty of drink venues.

Would not attend a Concert at Global Life Field Again Until Sound is fixed to hear what singers are saying.Sound Muffled

By Anita O |

Went to the Jonas Brothers Concert.

Website:
1. The website to let us know about the concert was disappointing as the website said the concert started at 7:30, but the opening act stared at 7 p.m., so we missed the opening act.
2. The website was also not very clear on what not to bring being easy to find. For the Jonas Brothers concert, they allowed phones with cameras, but not Cameras by themselves, and thank god we stayed at the Live by Lowe's hotel so my husband could run back and put the camera back. Why they did not allow cameras when every single phone has cameras was very frustrating in terms of customers time.
3. When we got our tickets from ticketmaster, it would have been nice to have instructions somewhere on website to put the tickets on google wallet so we would not have to rely on the ticketmaster website to show tickets on entry as the ticketmaster website was having problems and my husband had to run to the ticket office for help. Ticket office was very helpful and quickly resolved out issue to get the tickets by email instead.

Stadium:
Entry and Exit of Building: The atmosphere of the stadium was good when you got in. It was easy to get to our seats when we got there with the escalators and very little stairs to get to our seats. But when we left the stadium, it took forever to get down from the escalators.
Seating:
The seats were pretty comfortable but the seat design, was not that great as the people behind us could put there drink in the back of our seat with a cup holder and there was fluid spilled on our seats. The drink holder behind also needs to be redesigned as you could get your toes pinched under the drink holder in the seat in front of you.

Sound for the Jonas Brothers:
The sound for the concert was absolutely awful! Could not hear a word of what the Jonas Brothers were singing. Not sure if the building design is the cause or the sound problem can be fixed by proper placement and addition of more speakers.

Visual Screens for Jonas Brothers concert:
It would be nice to have the top Video Screens during a concert to be on during the concert. If you are sitting down, it would be nice to just look straight ahead instead of have to hover forward in your seat to see the concert and screens. Only the video screens at the level of the stage were on.

Security:
Upon leaving, security needs more training to have people leave the building as there were two escalators and they did not guide us on the choice of the two escalators, so there was a pile up of people waiting to use the escalator.

Leaving the Concert:
As for leaving the concert, I did not notice how bad the traffic was as we decided to stay at the Live by Lowes hotel to avoid the traffic and took the dart and tre trains and an uber to get to the hotel as we would have had to drive back to Garland and probably would have gotten home at 1:30 a.m. That was an excellent choice as the concert ended at 11. But getting out of the building took another 30 minutes to get out, so it was safert not to drive and for us just to walk 5 minutes to our hotel instead. The Live by Lowe's hotel was amazing and there were enough food choices at "Texas Live" or we could have ordered using Grubhub or Doordash if needed.

Overall:
Would never go again to the Global Life Field for a concert as the sound was absolutely awful. I am glad I got my tickets for $20 a piece.

Rangers versus Astros

By Tracy M |

Even though 5his park is 19 years old and soon to be gone, we really liked it and thought it was very nice. Glad we got to visit it in its last year. Easy in and out. Plenty of concessions. Wide aisles. Good sight lines. Luckily, it was a beautiful day when we went with a constant light breeze. We were in section 216 and had good seats and sight lines. Would recommend a visit before it is gone. Enjoyed our visit and 5he Rangers won 11-10 us a great game.

Baseball time in Texas!

By mlvaughn11 |

This is the last year for the Texas Rangers in Globe Life Park! Next year they will be in their new home. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this classically designed ball park and enjoy a true baseball experience! Globe Life Park offers a wonderful outdoor experience with plenty of amenities. They have several promotions and give aways so check the schedule! be There'sbad seat in the house but my suggestion is not too pick left field for afternoon games as the sun will be in your face. The homerun porch seats cost a little more but are well worth it because they include all you can eat peanuts, popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, and chicken sandwiches! It also includes all you can drink soda with a plastic collector cup included! There's a huge kids area with plenty to keep your little ones entertained and if you have an infant, you can go inside the air-conditioned area in center field where they have the game on screen so you don't miss a thing! Glove Life Park also allows you to bring in your own drinks and food if you want to avoid high ballpark prices; they just have to be in plastic bottles and in a small soft sided cooler. It's a wonderful time that will take you back to your youth!

Neat little park, shoes it’s age though

By Aud E |

Cute little park, food is expensive but the views were great. Chili apparently comes in everything! I enjoyed my visit even though it got rained out in the 7th.

Be prepared to pay $20+ for parking. There is no public transit here.

Friday Night Game!!!!

By jules19600 |

Hey when your Rangers WIN WIN WIN, it's always a great time at the Globe!!!! We had great seats and the food was actually pretty good. Nothing better than a good hotdog at the Ball Park.

An MLB Stadium Not To Be Missed!!

By michaelpoto4 |

I came here with my dad and brother to watch the Rangers play Seattle in a 9-8 Texas win. The field is beautiful (and temperature controlled) and the Texas crowd consists of a bunch of top notch fans. Very welcoming and kind, even though we had our Red Sox gear on. We would definitely return to watch another game in this state of the art stadium! Five Stars all day long!!

August Evening Game

By Ford |

I had to visit one last time before the new park opened. I have very fond memories of the ballpark from living in Arlington about 10 years ago. As long as you stay out of the left-field stands, I think the heat is manageable.

I'll miss this place, but I am ready for a temperature-controlled stadium!

Amazing experience

By Kristen M |

I went to 6 games at the park and had the best time. We took a tour, did the batting practice experience, came in every day as soon as the gates opened and took in every second. Highly recommended

Hot game in Aug, but great

By m6_traveler |

Went to a very hot game in August. Game was excellent. Food was fair priced for ball park. They kept the crowd entertained.

Chet in the right field shop.

By TJ H |

Chet in the right field shop selling autographed/game used things is amazing!!! He is a wealth of baseball knowledege that may or may not surprise you... I definitely suggest going to see him and chat!! He is super awesome and helpful. Also if you have someone to share food with the boomstick (pictured) is toally worth the buy...

Great stadium, great game!

By AngryElf_13 |

We attended the Rangers Astros game and the ambiance and vibe was amazing! Very nice stadium with many shopping and food outlets! We had to change our tickets as they were under the sun and it was an afternoon game, and went for the free buffet tickets! The upgrade was good from the point that we were in the shade and the food wasn’t too bad! Unlimited burgers, hot dogs, drinks and popcorn/peanuts!Parking was very easy and next to the stadium, 1min on foot away! Would recommend pre-booking your parking so you are parked close to the stadium.

Rangers/Cubs game

By LegalGypsy |

The stadium was great. Bathrooms were Clean. Pricey, as you would expect, but a good time! I do think they need to clean the lines on some of the drafts but, it’s a stadium so my expectations aren’t too high.

One last visit to Globe Life Park...

By Timothy T |

Last night my son and I attended our last game at Globe Life Park. I was born/raised in Northern California and raised our kids on Oakland A’s baseball... have lived in Waco the past eight years and each year we venture 5-6 times a season to Ranger games. We are moving to Nashville soon so this was our last game here. What a beautiful ballpark and hopefully a few years from now I will visit and experience a game in the new park.

Great park!

Busted for the home openner against the Cubs! Great time at a great park. Our seats were in section 313 which is pretty high but still a great view and near all amenities.

See all 50 Dallas TX Happy Birthday

By Daddy And Caleb |

Well.... it was raining so the enthusiasm of our guide was not there. We visit a lot of different states, cities and venues and we left a bit disappointed. We were on a time frame so could not wait for the rain to stop. He was far from excited to show us and the other folks from overseas around . Comments were made by others as we passed by like I can’t believe your having to show them around. Love the park and can’t wait to see the new one , and what is done with this one. Also going to have a chance to see the Rangers in Boston in June. I would not miss going, just hopefully they will work on hospitality as the end of this park as a baseball park is near and the team moves across the way to their new indoor home!

NICE PLACE TO BLOW A FEW HOURS, GREAT BEER, YET SADLY BEER BETTER THAN THE RANGERS

By nevadaq |

I really like the ballpark, and if we could match the talent on the team to the ballpark and the goodies there we would be in great shape. I guess there's always next year.

Last year for baseball

By K-Mart |

Great place for any outdoor events. Very sunny and hot on the east side, multiple food venues and seats are fairly comfortable

Made it the Last Weekend of Baseball!

By KMB_GA |

We're trying to hit all 30 active ballparks and booked a flight to Texas to make sure we got in a visit to Globe Life Park before it closed. Loved the trolley system offered with local hotels to get to the park; a lot less hassle than trying to figure out which parking lots are best/cheapest. The park itself was decent; nice exterior and really liked their Texas sign. Concession stands were numerous, but I was not impressed with the offerings. Too many basic things like nachos and hot dogs and not enough stands offering Texas specialties; I'm hopeful the new ballpark takes this into consideration when setting up their foods. Loved their double-decked outfield area. Didn't seem like their was a bad seat in the house (we did attend a night game though; I'm sure in the middle of summer, shaded seats are a hot commodity). Hoping they also add a few more items that really make their ballpark special/stand out. They had a few statues, but nothing to really differentiate it from other ballparks. They had a couple of cute games they did between innings, but I also think they could try and get their fan base more invested into the game. Overall, a really fun experience and a fun place to catch a baseball game.

Major League

By cheryllaustin |

Amazing venue and facilities. Awesome support for people with walking disabilities as we were picked up in the car park and taken directly to the gate . After the game the same we were transported directly back to our parked car .

Attend a pre-game tour for a game you will attend

By Alan304 |

The advantage of the pre-game tour is that you get a great seat to watch batting practice before the gates open. The upper deck seats are relatively high but close to the field, so the views are good. The concession options are typical in variety and pricing - but there is a TEXAS-sized 2 foot Boomstick hot dog. The parking lots are close and $20 or $25. The entertainment area on the ball park grounds has good options for a pre or post game group.

My girlfriend and I LOVE baseball and enjoy visiting ballparks, husband's not so much....This is a wonderful place, not bad seat in the place!

Great experience and Friendly Staff

By fred a |

A game with our son & family , this was a great experience, the ushers/staff went out of their way to be helpful and get our two Tweens a game ball, and it was a great event atmosphere ...the game was good Rangers 17-8, and the game was a real treat as was everything else going on during the game ….. we had a wonderful time and the staff etc bent over backwards to help us, find the Uber station, get the kids gameballs etc !
Can't say enough good about the experience !

Awesome bb stadium! Only mini purses allowed!

By lqs |

Travelled to Dallas to attend a Rangers game at their new stadium as everything in CA was still closed at the time. Awesome new stadium and adjoining entertainment complex. Stayed at the Sheraton down the street and that was great as we walked over in only a few minutes, although would totally stay at the Lowe's in the entertainment complex next time. Lots of food/drink options at the Live complex to visit before going into the stadium. Even a 7-11 across from the entrance, which I thought was an unusual option. They are VERY serious about the size of your purse! If it's larger than legal size envelope, figure you're walking back to your car so check their website for exact measurements. The staff is super nice, but wasn't really able to direct us much around the inside of the stadium - perhaps because it's still new to them as well. Asked if there were any special foods to the stadium, like a 2 foot hot dog, etc but they didn't know. Love the retractable roof, which was open for our game. Felt super safe getting to/leaving game. We have food allergies to soy and gluten. Reached out to the concessions manager before our trip. They were very nice and said someone would contact us, but never heard and couldn't reach anyone for specifics. Through online info did find that they have GF/SF hot dogs with Udi's buns at the Grab N Go by section 101. Will need to know it's over on the right hand side by the cold drinks and kind of funky that you put on a glove and grab your own bun and dog. No signs letting you know they're gluten-free/soy-free, but the worker directed us to the area when we asked where to find them. It's so strange how it's set-up - like an afterthought about oh yeah we have to have a gluten-free bun place. lol. Whatever - it was there and we enjoyed it! They use Nolan Ryan meats, which do not have any fillers in the hot dogs or burgers (verified with the company).

Beautiful ballpark!

By Shawn O |

We love coming to see the Rangers play at this park and will miss it so much! Its such a beautiful ballpark and have enjoyed many memories here.

Nice older park

By dnrdavies |

Very nice for an older ballpark but has signs of aging. Seats are nice and roomy. Rows are wide, Lexus seats can order concessions right from seats and have it delivered. Views are very good from 2nd level behind homeplate. Like the look of the outfield suites in the backdrop. No straws or lids for sodas at this park.

Wow and they are replacing it !

By m35yellowbrickrd |

Took the Tour - was Excellent - even got to see the the inside batting cages

also took in a game - had really good seats ! which ended up including the Capital One Luxury Suite with AC :) (the Box office did NOT tell me about this - shame on them !!)

Buffet of hot dogs and mac n cheese - is pricey - be warned :)
and then they skimp on how many cookies you can have - come on - show some class

Enjoy

The best!⚾️

Love this ballpark! It’s super clean. Everyone who works here is SO nice and helpful! Even the people who work in the restaurants are great! It’s very organized too. For me, it’s the nicest ballpark in the US.

Tour and dinner

By Nashville_brent_65 |

I was in Dallas for a conference and the Rangers were out of town.
However, we toured the facility and had dinner while we were there.
It's a very nice ballpark but, alas, they're building a new one across the parking lot for some reason. Can't anyone keep a stadium for at least 50 years?

Terrible Sound Quality

By Inspire68625943776 |

I went for a concert and the sound quality was absolutely horrible. I could barely hear the music and I couldn't understand anything they were saying in between songs. Also, the line to get inside took way too long. I arrived at 5:30, the doors opened at 6, I didn't get inside until 7. And the concert started at 7:30. And trying to get an uber afterwards was almost impossible. I will not go to concert there again.

Enjoying a family favorite

First MLB game with my son and we loved it. Globe Life was a lot different from when I was younger, but it was still amazing. Planning on attending many more!

Bad experience.

Poor man's Minute Maid Park. Field seats were far from the playing surface and food was below average.

Date night

By Ronald R |

Had great night out with the love of my life.
Little cool breeze at the ball park.Reason for the ball to carry out..Great seats not too crowded, high priced nachos, gave me indigestion..over all fun night with my date..

Fantastic day out to anyone, even those who don't like sport!

By jonny7714 |

I was in Dallas for a work event and as I love all sports I was keen to see a baseball game. It was a great day out and I recommend it to anyone who is even mildly interested in sport. When in the USA it goes further than just a standard day out, the whole day becomes a major event. From the giant hot dog to the hilarious half time shows, this is something not to be missed. The stadium itself is great and they have quite a few entrances so when its busy there still isn't a long wait time to get in. Parking seemed pretty accessible but we got a cab to the stadium to avoid having to park. This is well worth the money as we paid around 40-50 dollars for a ticket and it was worth a lot more.

cold night in Texas, but good place to watch a ball game

By terjen55 |

First, when you buy your tickets and you want to be in the lower section be sure to buy seats as close to the field as possible. If you sit in the back rows you will not be able to see the score board since the upper deck blocks your view. Also there are support pillars toward the back and they will block your view of the field. Long lines for the food vendors so maybe eat before you head to the game. Otherwise it's a nice place to watch a ball game, too bad their going to build a new stadium next door and this is the last year for Globe Life Park.

Last year to visit the ball park!

By Victoria |

Travelled to Arlington from Canada last weekend to watch the Jays-Rangers series. It's a really fun ballpark to visit - especially in nice weather. We were told it gets unbearably hot in the middle of summer, hence the need to build an enclosed ballpark. We sat in sections 53 (behind the opposing team's bullpen) and 331 (top level, near home plate on the first base side). If you're sitting in the 300 level, you'll need to take two long escalators to the top level (we got in trouble for trying to walk on the escalators) or walk up a long ramp - great if you're looking for some exercise!

Lots of food options. I was really tempted by the Boomstick! (24 inch hot dog) and Choomongous (24 inch sandwich). The Centerfield Market has some healthier snacks (like fruits and Veggie Straws and Pita Chips) if you don't feel like indulging. We also brought in some of our own snacks and didn't have a problem (backpacks are still allowed, they just need to search every compartment).

Some of the hotels in the area have free shuttles to and from the game, so if you're staying in the area be sure to look into that (try to get to the shuttle right after the game, as lineups were long on Saturday night). However, there's lots of parking around the ballpark at a reasonable price ($13-15, which is a lot better than many of the other ballparks we've visited). Saw some families tailgating and smoking burgers/sausages in the parking lot before the game - it looked like a lot of fun.

It rained on Friday night, but fortunately no game delay. However, due to lightning in the area, fans were asked to evacuate their seats and move to a covered area of the ballpark (we were surprised the players were allowed to keep playing). If you're planning on visiting the park, you might want to keep an eye on the weather report or choose a seat in a covered area to avoid getting wet.

Average

By MarkW |

Looks like a warehouse from the outside. Inside is generic looking. The roof was closed when we were there. It's not pretty but for sure made watching the game comfortable temperature wise. My wife and I were the first ones in and immediately went too a restaurant there that had picnic tables inside next to it. There was food crumbs on the tables and fries and dirty napkins on the floor. At least clean the place up! Come on, it's new! Seating is good. This place doesn't have the character that the old stadium had. AT&T stadium blows it away for sure!

Great view from an uncomfortable seat

By Cynthia W |

I have been to several ball parks in our journey at see MLB stadiums.. I like Globe Life Park but our VIP seats in section 22, row 2, were disappointing to say the least. The seats were advertised as having more space, but our legs were cramped. Just one section over in section 21, the seats are a bit larger with more leg room, and they are also in the VIP section. There is no in seat service in the VIP section and no access to the club restaurant, although I read that this was a feature. OK...that being said, we had an awesome view, just to the left of home plate. It was a long way down to our seats, so I only made the trip up the stairs twice. I was surprised to learn that people are permitted to bring beverages into the park. Concessions were priced a bit high but the food was good: two hot dogs and fries cost $18.50. We attended a night game, so we did not have to deal with the hot Texas sun. Also, we sat behind the protective net and I felt relatively safe. There are plenty of bathrooms so you rarely have to wait in line. We were able to take the trolley from our hotel, so we did not have to deal with parking this time around. Overall, I had a good time at the ballpark and next time, I will choose my seats more carefully.

I Like It!

By Ron D |

Too bad they are tearing this old place down. I have been here bunches of times and really like this stadium. To think the place has been here as long as it has just blows my mind. Just anohter reason to spend taxpayer money on a waisted sports venue when we have something really good already.

Absolutely horrible acoustics

By Roving36904815541 |

Went with family to journey, Def Leppard. Steve Miller concert. Acoustics were horrible. Do they not do sound checks? Bass was so terribly overdriven that you could barely hear midrange or the vocals. Steve miller's set was passable.

Can't go wrong with Glove Life Park! Best ballpark ever!

By 429bethe |

Gotta go and experience yourself. You won't be disappointed. The parking, the food vendors, the conceige all great.

Nice Park

By 283lyndal |

The upper deck was packed on the first base line (300 sections) Minimal food windows were open so missed a lot of the game just trying to buy water, Non of the vendors in the stands carried water, at least not the 2 that even came near our section. It was a SUPER HOT day and long lines in the sun could have been minimized.

Awesome baseball game

My dad and I went to a Rangers game and loved it. Even though the lost we still had a fun time going to the game. It was a fun experience.

Don't go for a concert!!

By Kristin C |

Possibly the worst place to see a concert. The sound is absolutely awful. Very disappointed that I spent so much money to listen to 3 great bands sound so completely bad.

This ballpark is set to close soon

By Shellco |

This ballpark is hosting the last of it's ballgames this week. It will be replaced by a new air conditioned park next year. I'll miss it. There was no bad seat, lots of food options (including a vegan concessions booth) & always a fun time guaranteed.

Clean, safe and easy access

By PuzzleSolver855 |

Good amount of organized traffic control for parking. Stadium was easy and I really appreciated the roof since it rained during our game. Favorite food was the broomstick hot dog and the BBQ brisket on mac n cheese. Seat were horribly expensive from Stub Hub and I won't be able to attend more than 2 games as a result of it. I can't be connected to the game if we're in the upper decks.

Good night

By Mike A |

It’s a nice stadium. Of course the new one opens in 2020. So go see a game it doesn’t have alll the bells and whistles the new stadiums do. Food choices ok pricing not horrible either

Globe life Park

By Stay65715198939 |

The Baseball Park was nice the food was good and the Texas people were very nice everywhere we went.
I’m definitely going back to the lone Star State to visit the New Baseball stadium in Arlington next year.
I recommend staying at the Hyatt right by the park the have a shuttle service to and from the park.

What's better than baseball?!

By MarissaSalinas |

Globe Life Park or ("The ballpark" as most of us locals still call it) is always a good time through rain or searing summer heat. The staff is always friendly and special events are organized well. Friday night fireworks, dollar hot dogs on Wednesdays, and loads of give-a-ways make any day at the ballpark a day worth remembering. Over the years the park has undergone many renovations and upgrades. A new stadium is currently underway that will have a retractable roof to encourage more patrons to join in for summertime day games. If you are planning a trip to the ballpark, be sure to dress for the weather and keep a poncho on retainer (Texas weather is unpredictable). As far as the fans are concerned- theres no fans like Rangers fans. They tend to be loud and friendly! I go to games alone regularly and have never felt unsafe.

Take me out to the ball game

The State Ballpark of TEXAS

By pdSixty8 |

Looked like designers took a trip to Houston to tour Minute Maid Park and returned home to their bosses to say, “We can duplicate it and do it better!” I was impressed by the size of Globe Life Field and the fact there is a hotel and entertainment complex right next door. Choctaw Stadium is still across the street and the AT&T Stadium in viewing distance.

One morning My wife and I walked around the perimeter of the stadium finding many sites to see to see and marveling at the stadium. We first encountered a lake with a walking trail, artwork and then statues of famous players of the past. You will find at the main entrance a Hall of Fame walkway then you pass by the team store entrance and return back to Texas Live!.

The inside is remarkably high end compared to other MLB ballparks with a nice grand team store, numerous places to purchase drinks and order food. You also will see another Hall of Fame areas with framed photos and jerseys of past players at the entrance near Texas Live!. Murals are lightly scattered around. There are many seating options including club levels to enjoy for the baseball elite. One night we had to go down an elevator to the field level. This area was much more upgraded from the level above where the food and drink vendors were much better. It also was less crowded with no lines especially for the restrooms. Our seats had great sight lines of the field and the seats seemed a bit larger with good leg room. Since this was my first time here I was scanning the other sections especially the one for the next night.

On our second night we sat in the Wild Rag Deck or as the radio announcers call it “The Taco Seats”. It's located in the outfield where you either share a table or have four in your party. The tables are semicircles and sit in office style chairs. You also have your own server to bring your food and drinks, however for our game the sun hit us hard where the Rangers had the roof open. After a while the sun went down and felt much better and cooler. The vantage point was great where even though hard to see the pitcher the rest of the field was spectacular. If you want roomy and feel like sitting in a club section, then this is for you.

Overall I was impressed and if you have a chance then experience a Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Field and will definitely enjoy it.

Baseball visit resumed

By Navigate816617 |

After a year from travel due to Covid was nice to travel again.Enjoyed our visit to Globe Life for Yankees-Rangers game , signed up for a pregame Stadium tour that was quite informative and took in sights of a competitive MLB game.Concessions were a hit and miss.Big plus to the man with a single stand of cold drinks & suggested an excellent Texas brewed (Ziegen Bock) but the downer was the jumbo hot dog purchased at Abner Doubledogs that when I got to my seat was ICE Cold.To summarize ; Stadium aesthetics are excellent, no worries of rain or Texas heat , beer is good , Baseball food staples require much improvement.

Last Trip to Globe Life Park

By LuckyLarry |

Being from MN, we wanted one last trip to what I consider a very nice ballpark before the new Rangers ballpark opens in the spring of 2020. It's always been a great time traveling here over the years to watch the Twins play the Rangers. For some reason, I am guessing I will enjoy the comforts of the new ballpark even more w/the enclosed roof - and less direct 100+ degree heat pounding on me during the games...but I will still always have good memories of Globe Life Park.

Always enjoy an evening out for a Ranger's ball game @ Arlington ballpark! We live 2 1/2 hrs away, but manage to attend a couple games per season. The ballpark is beautiful outside (lots of Hx carved into the outer/upper walls). And lots of good eats & fun while watching the game! You can take in a small soft sided cooler with some snacks & sodas,if trying not spend too much @ concession stands(just NO glass or cans). Gonna miss the Arlington Ballfield, because next year, the TX Rangers move into their new facility.

Nice park

By tarab653 |

We attended a Texas Rangers game. Noticed they are getting a new stadium literally right next to the existing one. The park was nice, but it was kind of stinky. The walk way to the bathrooms smelled and we sat above the bullpen of the visiting team and that was kind of stinky too. It didn’t help that it was still 95 degrees at 7 pm, but also probably didn’t help that the bullpen kept spitting in the turf (which I know they do, I’m just saying the combination of heat and spit didn’t smell good 🥴). However, the nachos were very tasty and the beer prices were reasonable. It was dollar hot dog night, which was nice, except they ran out of hot dogs by the 3rd inning so had to quick get and prepare more. Overall, we enjoyed the game!

Paul McCartney Freshen Up Tour Concert

By Starzangl9 |

I got to be a part of the inaugural concert at a Globe Life Park in Arlington. The concert was Sir Paul McCartney and in my opinion they could not have chosen a better performer to be the first concert held inside the stadium. I have to have the aid of a wheelchair and could not get handicapped seats. When I informed an usher that I hated just to leave my chair sitting out, I was directed to a place where I could securely leave my chair. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The evening was a great success and my chair was in a secure place I did not have to worry about it while I enjoyed the concert. I look forward to attending more concerts there in the future.

Hit a homrun in my heart!!

By Crusinqueen1027 |

This was my first time coming to see a Rangers game. We lucked out on some awesome seats in the shade. From the moment we walked in I was living a childhood dream! We even got free bobbleheads!!! My son got to eat a hotdog at a baseball game!! LoL...I know that they are in the process of building the new stadium but if you get the chance you should definitely check out the history and feel the old-school spirit! For it's ONE, TWO, THREE STRIKES YOUR OUT AT THE OLL' BALL GAME!

Nice stadium

By 9142chanes |

It was hot but it was a nice stadium and lots of options for food and drink. Lines were not too bad.

Concert - awesome!

This is a first rate venue for concerts. Great food and great drinks! it was easy to park and get around.

Weekend Trip

Attended the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon games between the Rangers & Twins. Was really glad I got to visit this venue before it closed. Looking forward to a return trip to see the new stadium.

Baseball game!!

Parking is too expensive! There’s got to be a better parking solution and cheaper to watch a baseball game!!

Mixed Experience

By Jennifer H |

We have been trying to go to all the Major League parks around the country so we planned a trip to Houston and Dallas for Spring Break.

After seeing some really amazing ballparks (including Minute Maid nearby - just wow), I have to be honest that I felt Globe Life Park was just ok. I understand that they are building a new domed stadium for the Texas Rangers nearby which I think is a really great thing for this community. The ballpark itself was nice - lots and lots of Texas pride (loved that) and it was very clean. I am not sure what it was though that I just didn't connect with at this stadium.

I always hate to say this but the fans were some of the worst we have been around when visiting a ballpark. I know not all Rangers fans are like this but we had to move twice because of some of the things coming out of peoples' mouths around us. One guy would just not stop talking loudly and yelling (so we moved) and then my teenage boys were rolling their eyes and asked to move again because the kid behind us was so obnoxious. At about eight years old the things his parents were letting him yell out were ridiculous. I have never experienced this kind of behavior in other stadiums.

We got some normal ballpark food and none of it was good. The fries were soggy, the big corn dog was practically burnt and I don't know what the funky taste in the ice cream was - we tossed it. The one really super cool thing I did get however, was a beer sippy cup. Haha! I loved the beer sippy cup. I am forever in debt to Texas for helping me protect my beer and not spill a drop.

So we had a good time despite some weird parts of our night game experience. I am glad we got to see the ballpark but I am super excited to come back and see the new dome!

Great Concert

Chris Stapleton concert was incredible. Sound was better than most sports venues. Expensive concessions, but overall a great venue for a concert.

Love this Ballpark

By Chuck S |

Had a great time at the ballgame!! Ended up getting the All you eat porch ticket, what a value!! game ticket with all you can eat food as well. Had hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken sandwiched, nachos and cheese, popcorn and peanuts with all the soft drinks you want. In and out of the park was easy and the lady was very helpful at the ticket office. I have been here before and always enjoy the experience at this ballpark!

Been here lots of times...suprised I've never rated it.

By Five_Aces_Tx |

It's still a fairly new ballpark so I'm perplexed as to why a new stadium is being built for this team. Yes, I know, because it is a thousand degrees outside but it was that temperature 25 years ago when they built this one. Anyway, onto the park.

Parking is fairly easy here even if they don't have a parking garage. The least desirable seats would be the upper deck in left field as you are absolutely going to *fry* for the first five innings or so. That being said, pretty much anything on the first base side is pretty nice. The food is average to good depending on what you get. One thing that seems to be getting worse at this park is you can't walk 30 feet without some paid vendor approaching you to sign up for something.

Great Ballpark!

By Matthew B |

Was in town for a business trip and decided to catch an evening game! Snagged some amazing seats in the Lexus Club Section..... man what great seats! Beer was cold, hot dogs were tasty, and peanuts were fresh. I will be back next year!

Rangers Game

First time attending a Texas Rangers game. Spouse and I are working on attending a game in every Major League Park.

Great ballpark

By stacie914 |

Game was exciting, seats were great for the price! Ballpark is nice it is a shame they are building a new one.

Not sure of the rational to raze this ball park?

By Bill V |

This is a huge facility(being in Texas it has to be) that we found to be a fun park to visit and watch va Rangers game. I would not consider the park to be an "intimate" fan experience. There appeared to be a few obstructed seats. Hopefully they don't follow the airlines and Yankees stadium and decrease the seat size. For a tall person it was cramped and the thighs of the stranger next to wanting part of my seat. The food selections throughout the park seemed plentiful, the smoker BBQ concession of the third level was closed the night of our visit.

A Great Ball Park!!

By coachee1313 |

I have been to many major and minor league parks in the USA and this is good one. Great design, open feel and not cramped. Yes it was hot but that is to be expected in a Texas summer. hard to believe that they are ripping it down after next year.

Terrible experience with the official stadium tours.

By Srehtnap |

We did the ballpark pregame tour. It was a waste of money. It cost us $63 each. Our guide was amazing and really knowledgeable about the stadium and passionate about the Rangers. The tour route was a huge disappointment. They walked us through the 300 level upper deck concourse for 20 minutes telling us about the colors of paint on the walls and the bricks. There was a lot of detail about how the roof opens and how they never open it. Then we walked through the 100 level concourse to see where they sell concessions. The tour ended after about 45 minutes even though it was a 90 minute tour. They did not give us access to anything beyond where our normal ticket allows us to go during a game. There was no tour of the locker rooms, training rooms, press box, luxury suites, club suites, field access, or even a loading dock. My father and I have done these tours at many pro stadiums around the country and this was by far the biggest let down and most expensive. I called the tour manager today and expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for refund. I was told there is a strict no refund policy. She agreed the tour has nothing special, the website description is incorrect, and blamed it on MLB. We did the Cowboys AT&T Stadium tour the next day. It was cheaper and takes you through everything even the cheerleaders locker room and the field.

Flooded

By WillEwest |

Had a rain storm blow through and the level where they had everyone go to, to be under cover from the lightning, flooded about 2 inches around sections 44-48. Once the rain stopped it drained pretty quick except in the bathrooms in that area. The drain pipe above section 44 must have rusted out cause it was dripping in row 4-5 seat# 22-24. Stadium looks nice though.

love it!

Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Cleanliness: 4/5
Decor & Style: 5/5

I've only been to 3 parks (National's Stadium and Minute Maid Park) and this is definitely up there with the other two, if not better. My favorite thing about this park is the chicken place (called Flew The Coop) in which they had something called Glazed Donuts Chicken Sliders; The absolute best chicken sliders I've had in my life! WOW. I would return just to eat this!
Water is $5.25 for a 12 ounch bottle here (no surprise), but I heard they changed the price for better.

One of my Favorite Ballparks!

By cindymahn |

We lived in the area from 2000-2004 and enjoyed many Rangers games. We have done the tour of the stadium. When the Rangers built "The Ballpark at Arlington" they incorporated some of the most favorite things from other iconic ballparks from across the nation. There are plenty of food vendors and bathrooms - so you aren't waiting in lines too awfully long. The food is great. The atmosphere is even better.

Texas Rangers games - HOT!

By Chris |

Going to Rangers games at Globe Life is usually quite fun and fun for all ages. The tickets are pretty affordable and so are the concessions. The only drawback is the heat. Depending on the time of day, temps can vary from the 80's to over 100 degrees. Night time temps can be in the 80's and 90's as well, so dress appropriately and stay hydrated. This will all be alleviated once the new stadium goes up across the street and has a retractable roof... but until then, prepare for a hot time!

Parking can be a bit of a bear but if you drive on the outskirts of the stadium you can usually find parking for under $20 only a few blocks away.

I've never had a bad time there even when they've lost.

Good stadium

By Matt S |

At first, we couldn't understand why a relatively new ballpark was having its replacement built next door. But, after seeing some of the interesting layouts inside the stadium, I can see why.

The stadium looks great from the outside, with lots of brickwork and architectural features. The seating area is great, with great sight lines throughout the stadium. Our server for our club seats was also fantastically friendly, and is a credit to the stadium and organization. Where the stadium falls short is in the "inside" concession area. I'm not sure how else to put it, then it is "weird". Other than the outside, all of the concession stands are "insdie" cookie-cutter structures, where one needs to go inside these structures to order. Granted, these were all air conditioned, and most opened up to the seating areas, but this made for a very awkward, and boring, walk around the concource, and really forced you to go inside these structures to check out the menus.

Overall, it was a decent, clean stadiu, but I can defintiely see why there is a new one underway.

Don't sit in section 101

By Irma R |

Total rip off! $75 a seat and you can't see the jumbotron or score board. First visit will be your last visit. No warnings for obstructed views at all.

Good place for a game, as long as you are not in the sun

By JpocJedi |

It isn't anything special, especially when compared to newer ballparks, but GLP is a good place to see a game. Some of the sight lines are horrid, so choosing the wrong seats may drastically reduce your view and the overall experience. The food options are plentiful and varied and aren't terribly overpriced. The drink selections seemed to be a touch limited, but didn't really detract from anything. Loved the Nolan Ryan statue behind centerfield. I quite enjoyed walking around the ballpark as there was plenty to see. This place can be incredibly hot, and the left field area is bathed in the burning sun, so I would avoid that area if you are attending a game.

One of the best ballparks in unfortunately hot area

By MichiganMan90 |

This ballpark is about 25 years old and is beautiful. We have been to 20 parks and this is now on our top 5. Seats are comfortable, views are good and the stadium looks great inside and out.

The ONLY downside is that it is really hot down here, which I assume is the reason that they are building a retractable roof stadium next door.

Definitely brave the heat and catch a game here before it’s too late!

Decent Ballpark, nothing fancy

By RK2004 |

In town for a game, the park was decent, you can tell it’s an older park, built before the stadiums became a competition to be more fancy than the last one built in the league. Overall we really enjoyed the game. Lots of good food options, so come hungry and with a large wallet like any other attraction.

Very fun Stadium

By Licey7 |

The Globe Park is a must visit in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers, a great baseball team in the state of Texas, very entertainment and excellent facilities. It will be close next year due to the construction of a new Stadium

To bad its the last year!!

By jeffthereff2018 |

The Rangers are a well oiled organization from the vendors to the food cart! The ticket takers were friendly they show you to your seat if needed!

Super Cool

By Alana Rowland |

We visited the new Globe Life Field on a Tuesday night, August 30th. The facility has a great/welcoming environment. It was different for us personally, as we had never been in an enclosed ball park before - all of our MLB adventures have been in open air - but this new field is really neat. The structure/design of the building is pretty cool. Things were clean, guest service and security were kind, it had typical ball park prices/food, and everything is card only (no cash accepted anywhere.) I’m not sure if it was just us, but we thought the announcer was kind of hard to understand (too echo’y or weird acoustics, or old ears!) We opted to walk a smidge and did off site parking for $20 on the back side of the old stadium; another parking lot caddy corner from the new field up front was $25. We didn’t look to see what parking costs were online when purchasing the actual baseball tickets to the game. Our experience was a good one and we loved it. Our kids want to go back again already!

Enjoyed the Razzmatazz

By TravellerIlford |

My nephew asked me if there was anything I really wanted to do, as I have been to visit my family before. I said I would love to go to a baseball game as in previous years the Texas Rangers were not playing at home.

Luckily enough they were this time, my nephew got tickets and we were so lucky as we were on the right side where they were playing so we had a really good seat - not many runs, but thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, it was everything I expected it to be.

Opposite the Globe Life they are building a new stadium - its enormous!

No much time left in the old place but still really nice!!!

By Mark G |

Went to the Rangers Astros game on the 4th of July. We had excellent seats behind home plate and they didn’t disappoint. Concessions are good and the team store was well stocked. Sight lines in the park are good and they put on a fabulous fireworks show. Be sad to see the old park go...

Friday night baseball

Imagine temperatures outside upper 80's inside the stadium 72!! Easy access to seating and great seats, with the field in clear view. Sadly the Rangers lost but we had a great time!

Texas Rangers vs Atlanta Braves

By Joe F |

Great ballpark built on the modern template with adjacent Texas Live for multi food and beverage options. Lodging available at several levels and many near enough for a walk or cheap Uber ride. We stayed 3 miles away at HI Express where free trolley service was available. It's in Arlington's Entertainment District which includes Six Flags and a large water park.

4th of July ballgame

The park had a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was welcoming, even though it was one of the busiest days of the year. Definitely will be going again.
