Wonderful theatre in the round with excellent but limited seating. They seem to specialize in comdey and musicals. Good acting, great acoustics. Very inexpensive for a great evening out! Located in a trendy restaurant district, you can eadily have a meal and see a show!

This theater is a true gift for the citizens of Gilbert. They do a fantastic job both with the variety of productions offered and the talent that they bring in. Easy to access, loads of free parking and the theater is located in an area of Gilbert where restaurants abound. The theater is uniquely configured such that the audience has a "good seat" no matter where they are situated. We have been attending for several years and intend to continue that practice. Season tickets make this a very inexpensive entertainment experience.

I have gotten season tickets many times. It is a theater in the round basically. The singers are always so good. I’ve never seen a bad show there. I highly recommend it.

What a great theater experience. We went to this theater twice in one week, first to see Charley's Aunt. It was very funny and very well done. The theater management and staff have done everything possible to make this a safe experience in these pandemic times. Tonight we saw Always...Patsy Cline. It was wonderful, the two actresses were very professional and the band was great. We love this theater and will go to their shows next year when we are in Arizona.

What a fun place to have right in the middle of Gilbert! The intimate seating was
perfect for the show we attended and it was easy to park and enter without the cattle call of crowds. Seats were comfy, no long restroom waits, good sound, easy viewing and courteous staff. All was a
top notch experience!

I have been to many shows at the Hale Center Theatre and have only seen a couple that disappointed, and that was years ago. The quality of the shows is excellent and I highly recommend it for an affordable entertainment option!

Went to Hale Theater to see Steel Magnolias. What a treat! The entire theater staff was pleasant and willing to help. The cast of the show was on point! Definitely going back when we are in the area again!

This is a much smaller venue than I've experienced before, however the smaller, more intimate setting allows the audience to have a more personal experience with the cast and the show. We saw 'The Wizard of Oz' and it was one of the best live performances I've seen. There's not a bad seat in the theatre, there is ample parking available, and the prices are fabulous! We'll become regulars.

Hale Theatre is high quality theatre in the round and mainly musicals. We've been to 3 plays and they have all been excellent. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the tickets are very reasonable.

We love this theater. The cast is always theatrically trained, their voices are spot on, it's cozy, their sets are beautiful done, the plays are well thought out & carefully done for your viewing pleasure. After watching a play at the Hale Theater, we feel that the money that we spent was well worth the entertainment value & we always look forward to the next play that is coming up!

If you are in the Gilbert area and you can catch a play at the Hale, DO IT. Corrine is awesome and her hubby is as well...they organize , welcome and help every person that visits the Hale Theater.
Be sure to stay after the play to personally meet and congratulate your favorite actors!

Incredible show and setting. Wonderful location and the price is fantastic. We will absolutely be back for future shows.

Attend this theatre on a regular and always enjoy the music. Talented local actors, very nice décor, not a bad seat in the house, always starts on time and fair prices makes this one of our favorite places for a family night out

The Hale Theater is in the beautiful downtown Gilbert area, it's super convenient to walk around downtown, grab dinner at one of the many restaurants, then head to the theater for an amazing show. It is fun to have such a professional theater with both great actors and an amazing production team in the Gilbert area! I highly recommend catching dinner and a show!

Got to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! The show was amazing! I have seen it several other times, so I know the music, and that made it very understandable to me-- however the folks we were with had some trouble understanding due to loud background music. The performers were very talented and the intimate size of the theater makes this a wonderful entertainment venue. The show is full of color and costumes. AMAZING!

Have been to this theater a number of times. Love the theater in the round setting as the audience can really see well. Every production I have seen has been done very well. The actors are professional, the staff are friendly and the tickets are great value. In addition the theater has an excellent location as it is very close to a variety of good restaurants. For anyone who enjoys theater, this really is a must.

We've been to many shows here over the years but this year we decided to purchase seasons tickets. I'm glad we did. Great shows friendly actors. Great overall venue. Highly recommend.

I took visiting friend here for a Play in the center of downtown Gilbert, Az. It is a small, intimate theatre in the round with reasonable seats @ $30 ea.
We had a great time and enjoyed the play very much. The actors greeted us in the lobby afterwards.

Going to a live play is a wonderful experience for all ages. We have taken my neices as well as my parents and Grandmother to the Hale Centre Theatre. This is a great place for a Date Night or as a seasonal session it is also nice to visit during the Christmas season to watch the Christmas Carol in order to get you into the spirit.

An excellent community theatre in-the-round! Fun shows and musicals to appeal to all ages over the course of the year. The downtown Gilbert area now has an excellent mix of restaurants to start or end the evening.

Love this theater in the round. They do a great job. All seats are good Not expensive and great, great entertainment.

Our family and friends have been many times to the "family owned" gala Hale Theater. Every performance is professional, classy, fun, and family oriented. We love seating in the round circle staged seating, feeling like your right there, and part of the experience. A great family treat for everyone!

This is a local theatre where I have season tickets. Just about all the shows are great. Theatre is downtown Gilbert. Great value.

Awesome place. Just saw Chaps. Never laughed so hard. Great theater and great service. People are friendly and helpful. I’ll be checking the schedule for more shows.

We have attended several show and have loved them all. Costumes are always well done and the actors and actresses have always been very well cast.

We went to see "Aida". We enjoyed it. This is such a nice theater as it is small. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I think I'll become a season ticket holder!

I'm not a live stage show (plays or musicals) kind of person. My friend asked if I'd like to go, reluctantly I agreed, and so glad that I did!
Every aspectect of this place is excellant! We saw the Christmas Story. Performance and singing was top notch, hard to believe that it was mostly local kids. Holds maybe 300 and there isn't a bad seat in the house.
Highly recommended!

Went to see our first play there since we moved to AZ. This is a very small theater (350?) with the seats surrounding the stage. Very affordable tickets get you to feel like you are part of the play or show. The center is right next to Gilbert Road with plenty of places for Pre- and Post-show food and drink.

We have been taking our children here for the last few years. We love that the offer family friendly/kid friendly plays and shows. We enjoy having the ability to expose our children to the art of theatre and acting at young ages. It also teaches them how to behave in a respectful way while having a good time. Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories!

All seats are good, the acting by local talent has always surprised and impressed my wife and me. Can usually get seats at day and time wanted. Convenient location and easy access to eating/drinking establisments nearby. We always look forward to the next performance whatever it is.

This quaint theater is one of the best I have ever been in! It's pretty small and has a circular center stage that allows for you to be truly immersed in the experience! It makes you feel like you are a part of the show! The acting was great and the intermission timing was nice.

For a late summer evening's entertainment, the Hale Centre Theatre is a great choice. It's easy to drive to, plenty of parking, comfortable chairs in a theater-in-the-round. The scheduled performances for 2016-2017 all look interesting & in fact worth purchasing season tickets. Very nice surprise!!

Opening Night - Guys & Dolls. Two and a half hours was a little long - but what a treat! Twenty-two cast members gave it their all! Not a sour note in the music, a few minor technical glitches (so be expected) - but they did not detract from an excellent production. Wardrobe folks outdid themselves with interesting, colourful and engaging costumes. Nice to go to see entertainment that does rely on innuendo and smut to sell a great story! Production values were superb! Always like meeting the key cast member after the show - class act you guys.....and Dolls!

I reviewed the Hale Theater several years back. I gave it five stars then and it still is my favorite local theater of all time. Small, great seating, friendly staff and absolutely delightful productions. I know I will never be disapointed with the Hale...it's that good!

This is the second year that we have enjoyed season tickets at Hale Theatre. There are no bad seats for the plays. Pick your play and select your seat in advance because they frequently sell out. You will enjoy your experience.

They put on very good productions for such a low budget operation. I am a season ticket holder and 9 out of 10 performances were excellent. "Man who came to dinner" was the only poor performance.

I was there to see 2015's "A Christmas Carol." The theater is a delightful venue, within walking distance of several good restaurants--so park once and go to both dinner and the theater. Sweet.

Four of us went to see "Anything Goes" on Thursday, Mar.17 and loved it. A great cast with talented singers and dancers. See it if you enjoy Cole Porter and musical comedies.

I've been here twice, very small but well done plays.because its small all the seats are good.,nice parking lot very near by,so no problem parking

Seating intimate, events awesome, and great location near good restaurants. Easy to find, good food before or after and every play or musical has been excellent.

...is that we waited so long to attend our first show here! Hands down the best community style theater in Phoenix. The production quality is phenomenal. Our first show was 'A Christmas Carol' and it was amazing. We immediately bought season tickets for the next year and have continued ever since. In three seasons, we've never seen a bad production. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful little theater, intimate and not a bad seat in the house. The only down side is that the shows fill quickly! But they are always well played and enjoyable to watch. I have been to at least three shows, West Side Story and A Christmas Carol included. I recommend going to the restroom before the show as the ladies room gets quite busy at intermission.

We travel to Mesa, AZ several times a year, and always check to see if there is a play at Hale Theatre when we're there. We have enjoyed "A Christmas Carol" and "Phantom of the Opera" in the past year, and loved both events. The theatre is in "the round... or square..." and every seat is a good one. The actors are amazing, the venue is easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Lots of restaurants nearby if you want supper before the show. There is a break during which they come out with a cart to purchase water, licorice, candy etc...which is kind of a nice idea.

After dinner at Liberty Market (just ok) we enjoyed another wonderful play at Hale. If you have not been to this venue, you are missing out. How they manage to do these shows is amazing. This is a theater in the round (square). All seats are good. The directors are able to create standard stage shows by bringing props and actors in from all corners. We have seen many shows here. Never disappointed. The other night we saw "Singin' In The Rain". Very well done. Hale Theater is a must-do. Highly recommend

I have seen several plays at this theatre and I'm always pleased. First off, the location is wonderful! Grab dinner at one of the many delicious restaurants within walking distance of the theatre. I love the set up of the stage and seating. I feel like I've had an excellent view from wherever I sit and the sound was awesome. I highly recommend the Hale Theatre!

We had a wonderful time at the Hale Theater seeing Hello Dolly. The cast were very talented with great singing and acting. The performance was very entertaining.
The theater is wonderfully arranged so you can hear and see everything.
BRAVO!!!!

The Hale Theatre is a GEM!!!!
Member since 2006, great local theatre with great eateries within walking distance......

Last night, we attended The Memphis Rock & Roll Review concert. It was exceptional!! The musicians and singers were all outstanding and had all patrons on their feet giving rounds of applause. We've attended 4 concerts at Hale and 1 stage play---each one amazing! The venue is small & in the round, so every seat is great. We can't say enough---this is first-rate entertainment!!

We've seen 3 shows in the past 2 months and plan to become Season Ticket Holders beginning in2016. Great productions!

We have been season ticket holders for a couple years. We are never been disappointed. We went to see "The Sound of Music ". It may be an old musical but it is always exciting to go see what the Hale Theatre can do to make it special. They have the BEST TALENT. They can have different children who almost still the show. No bad seats and you can always hear with there wonderful sound system . Old and young would enjoy this performance. This is TOP on our list of places to recommend to new winter visitors.

I have been to the theater before but not a round theater. My sister got tickets for a show at hale theater. Its such a different experience to watch show in a round theater. They also have a great variety of shows that they put on. You can take everyone in the family and they all will enjoy it.

I love the Hale for its seating in the round. There isn't a bad seat in the room. Lighting is good and the experience is rare in a small venue. Highly recommended if the Coming holiday season.

Great theatre in the round, small intimate and fantastic productions.
I have taken my children and friends to a variety of shows and have
never been disappointed.

We have been going to the Christmas show for nine years in a row and it never disappoints. Absolutely love it and will continue to go every year. Excellent acting, excellent seats, excellent music! Thank you Hale theater!

The season line up for the Hale Theater in the center of the small downtown Gilbert area is impressive; I can see why people buy season tickets. The theater is small with the stage in the center with about ten short rows of seats on each side. Every seat is the best seat. Acoustics are quality and seating is comfy. See How You Run was playing and the acting, staging and blocking were five star. Best belly laugh in ages! There are some movie theater type snacks (e.g. Milk Duds) and sodas available but unfortunately no beer, wine or cocktails - if I could change one thing it would be that. So, stop by Postino next door beforehand and call it a perfect night!

If you like to see quality theatrical events, then The Hale Theater in downtown Gilbert is the place to go. Located in the heart of the vibrant old town district of Gilbert, The Hale Theater puts on fantastic plays that are fun for the whole family. They offer comedy, drama, musicals and more year round. With a total seating capacity of about 300, it provides a very quaint and intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend that you see a show while visiting.

Great productions for children:) Attending a performance as part of a birthday Celebration Day is a great idea! Excellent restaurants in immediate vicinity. ..all makes for a great day!

As a Gilbert, AZ resident I come here often to see amazing, affordable plays! This intimate theater in the round does amazing productions that never disappoint. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good time!

The Hale Theatre always delivers excellent, professional theatre. Great casts, popular productions, a unique seating arrangement (all four sides of a central stage). Worth the price for any excellent experience!

Everything about this Theater is amazing!
It's always busy so buy your tickets and pick out your seats as soon as you
decide what show to see!

We saw "Dames at Sea" and it was an excellent production. The costumes were first class and the voices of the actors were professional and their acting was also professional. There was a high sense of energy. The use of props, lighting, and stage tech was masterful. There are no bad seats in this theatre-sightlines are good from every side of the theatre-in-the-round experience
We will return for as many productions as we can. The prices are fair for such hiqh quality musical theatre- a treat for those of you who enjoy a night out with good entertainment. The cast waited in the lobby after the show to greet and thank their audience-very classy of them.

We saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The play was fun! The cast was great! The location was quaint and the area had decent restaurants and nightlife! Highly recommended!

We saw The Music Man here. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The stage is all around you. Due to the stage being on the floor there isn't a lot of "sets" but you are right in the action and it is very fun.

I love Hale Centre Theatre and have seen 4 shows there over the last few years. The tickets are affordable, there are plenty of dates for each show and there isn't a bad seat in the house. You can really tell it's a community also by the familiar faces of the actors in each of the performances.
From what I've been able to find, there is a minimum age limit of 5 years old. Kind of a letdown when I wanted to take my daughter to see The Little Mermaid, but I understand the policy for kids who are younger and not yet tame enough for an intimate environment like this theater.

The costumes and cast were amazing! The voices and sound system were wonderful,
I can't wait to return!

All seats are close to the stage (around the perimeter) and seeing and hearing are excellent. Have seen 3 show there including a comedy and a musical and they are fun to attend and well presented with professional actors. Will go again

My friends and I have been to this venue many times this past season and we are always amazed. Somehow they manage to make you feel like you're simultaneously at a big Broadway production AND an intimate 'VIP only' showing.
The staff and crew are very nice and professional.
I recommend this place to everyone!

Plan ahead, ticket sales can be tricky. Utilizing local talent, who have real talent makes for a great experience. Traditions include a Christmas Story which will make you feel like a kid again. Intimate, smallish and performed in the round makes every seat a good one.

Hale Center Theater never disappoints! Their productions are always fantastic. Every seat in the house is excellent. I’m always surprised at how well they use the space. The theater is beautiful on the inside and outside, and we usually get to meet and greet the actors and singers after the show.

Seems as if we're becoming a regular at the Hale Theatre in Gilbert, Az, having attended several of their performances during the past year. All of the shows we have seen have been musicals performed by many of the same actors and all are very well done. All of the shows we have seen are family appropriate be it The Sound of Music, Footloose, or Something Gotta Give. The performance is good. The theatre is very nice and the scheduling makes it easy to see with the family. Highly recommend.

Enjoy well-done productions in a small theatre-in-the-round which makes every seat a good one! We have been to several performances and are always impressed with the quality of acting and production.

This is one fantastic venue to see a play or musical. There is not a bad seat in this theatre in the round design and the sound system is very good, not overpowering. With the way this theatre is designed, you actually feel as if you're part of what is happening on the stage.

I recently watched a Christmas production here and it was amazing! The place is big but no matter where you sit you get a great view! The workers are friendly and it is very close to some great restaurants!

Great place for talented entertainment that won’t break the bank! Arranged as a “center stage” there are no bad seats, the cast was fun and talented and the props professional!

our red hat group went yesterday. Wonderful play and great performers. Not a bad seat in the place with seating in the round.

My husband and I often buy season tickets to Hale Theater. Every production we've seen had been fabulous. Though this is a small theater, they always put on a quality show. It's very unique in its set up, as it is a round stage. I love seeing the way they use the space they have. I would say that my favorite side to sit on is the south side, though there really isn't a bad seat in the house. This is a great place to go if you are looking for something to do in the area.

I was lucky enough to enjoy second row seats at the very first show performed year ago. It was just as entertaining sitting in the last row for a show years later. The venue is very quaint and personal. The ability of the actors to integrate with the audience (esp. with A Christmas Carol) is really unique. The prices for tickets are very reasonable and the owners are about to lure talented performers. When you consider there an abundance of free parking in downtown Gilbert (unlike Scottsdale and Phoenix), and the wide variety of restaurants, bars, dessert and coffee shop options, this is a great evening out.

Recently attended "West Side Story". It was very good. I have, however, attended several plays at Hale and you can always count on a great performance.

great setting.no bad seat in the house. you can hear every word. When you call for tickets the gals are so helpful to get you seats you like

My husband and I have been to the Hale Theatre on a few different occasions. It's always a treat. It's a smaller size, so any seat in the house is excellent. You feel like you're in the middle of the play and really get to see the expressions of the actors. It's moderately priced and a great value. Highly recommend!

We have gone to this theater twice this year and decided to invite two additional friends to join us for "Memphis Rock and Roll Venue" [one being a musician in a local band]. EVERYONE was totally blown away with the talent and energy presented. An amazing performance that cannot be duplicated other than the best of the best!!!! Can not wait for the next venue. I highly recommend!!!! 5 stars for sure!!!!

Not a bad seat or bad performance! We’ve been here a 1/2 dozen times , every show has been great . It’s a small round theatre so every seat is good .. love love love this little place ..

We have gone to three plays here this year alone, and have loved every one of them.... the venue is terrific the seating is "up close and personal" for most seats, the actors have been very very good, the ticket prices are certainly reasonable, and we have enjoyed this experience greatly. We give it an "excellent" rating.

We recently saw Forever Plaid and My Fair Lady at the Hale Center Theatre. Both productions were wonderful! I went around humming the tunes for days afterwards :). This is the second year we went to shows at Hale. All of the shows we have seen there have been great/wonderful/awesome! We can't wait to go again next time we get to visit Arizona.

The consistently have high quality local theater utilizing talent of the area providing a great opportunity for thesbians that have been doing local theater to taked the next step up. Theater is intimate and the productions high quality.

What a gem! My husband and I wanted to do something special at Christmas. I did an online search, and found the Hale Theatre. This is a wonderful facility. Customer service is excellent, from ease of ticket purchase to detailed maps and parking info, to email reminders. The performance was just perfect for getting us into the Spirit! The theatre is located in an area of Gilbert with many nice restaurants, so it makes it ideal for a nice night out.

This is a great Theatre, it is different because the stage is round and in the middle with all the seating all around the stage, everyone can see really good no matter where you sit. The show was awesome and the actors were great and were professional. We really enjoyed the entire evening.

Went to see A Christmas Carol and Is He Dead (on New Years Eve). Had a wonderful time. Very small and intimate crowd. I highly recommend it. We took our teenage grandsons. They had a good time, too.

A theatre in the round has such an inclusive feeling to it! I have seen 3 productions here and NOT been disappointed!

We always enjoy Hale performances and look forward to the next! Love the musicals the most with professional singers enthusiastically bringing back to life favorite shows. There is not a bad seat in the house BUT the east and west side seating is usually the closest and where the actors face most often. Actors are out front as you leave if you'd like to greet them. Go once, and you'll be back :)

I often am asked to use a family ticket of friends and am always pleased with the shows I see. The theater is unique with "in the round" seating with ALL good seats. The actors are very well studied and do an outstanding performance. This is truly a"local gem" for Gilbert.

I've been to several plays there and there isn't a bad seat to enjoy the plays! There is something for everyone including comedy to musicals.

The theatre is awesome. Very similar to Globe Theatre in Regina. The Patsy Cline tribute was just awesome. Best Patsy Cline tribute show we have seen. Very talented cast. Seating is excellent. Highly recommend this wonderful show.

We just got home from seeing the Hale Centre Theatre's presentation of South Pacific. It was absolutely incredible! Every singing voice was spectacular, the sets amazing, and the acting was awesome!! We love this theater and are so very thankful to have such a professional entertainment center at our fingertips! Keep up the good work!! We love you!

Ben Hale is a great musician who loves what he does! It shows and provides the audience with a 360 experience. We LOVED the Pink Floyd Dark side of the Moon tribute. Can’t wait to go back for more! All of the musicians were
Incredibly talented and the sound was so well balanced and mixed. I would give this 10 stars!!

I've been here a couple of times for different plays. The stage is in the center of the room with seats all around. There are no bad seats in this theatre! The actors put a lot of work into their parts, and you can tell. Each play we have been to has not been disappointing! Highly recommended for a fun evening.

Mt wife and I went to see "A Christmas Carol" at the Hale Center Theater in downtown Gilbert, AZ on 12/19/17,early showing. What a delight it was to be up close with the cast. Seating was easy and orderly, no big rush. Access is good to most seats. Cast was excellent, music was excellent. We had reservations but there were open seats (early show, not sure about the evening event) that could be purchased at the door.

A beautiful building inside and out that houses classical shows with a professional cast of actors, singers and dancers. Have seen three shows there and all of them were great. A nice place where you can enjoy good theatre with your family or friends.

We spend 4 winter months in AZ and see all the shows at the Hale Theatre while we are there. Outstanding acting, singing, comedy, and set changes right before your eyes in this "theatre in the round."

Have you thought that only 'squares' would go for theaters in the round? Well, if so, think again...This 'round' is really a 'square' but offers the same fun experience of 'stage,' 'round,' or 'square.' When we saw "Nine to Five" there, I wondered how they would incorporate the settings, changing the focal point from office to bedroom, for instance...Not a problem...high among the seats of the guests was a platform, with the bed, and the sneaky boss, by then suspended from the ceiling in a hammock effect and it was perfectly easy to imagine this scene just as from the movie...If that were not enough, when we saw "Forever Plaid," I wondered how they could possibly show all the props used in that story. Well, it was quite amazing, how many hiding places, on what would be the stage, they were able to pull out the hidden props at the right time. Maybe that mistique is part of the intrigue of Hale Theater that keeps drawing us back. Did I mention we've never been disappointed in the professionalism among the actors and musicians in this attraction.Try it, you'll also like it.

This little theater is a gem. Performances are in the round and there is not a bad seat in the house. I always feel like I am a part of the play when I go there. Lots of classic plays and musicals at a reasonable price.

Our large group saw “Singing in the Rain” at the Hale Theatre and were not disappointed. This is family entertainment at its best. Just wish there was a Hale Theatre in Colorado!

Never a bad seat. Shows are great. Prices are fair. Love this place and will go back time after time. Plenty of parking nearby, including handicap parking.

Wow, Ben Hale you did it again. What a superior performance. To attempt to capture the 4 octave levels of Freddie Mercury's vocal range was quite an ambitious attempt. But the cast Ben assembled performed masterfully. Brian Bissel (lead guitar) and John Houston (Keyboards) were spot on. The band was awesome.

I had an opportunity to see a play there last month - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Although the theater is small, it is amazing how well the actors use the small space.
It was my first theater-in-the-round experience in AZ and I was not disappointed. Great pricing - great viewing, great experienced cast! You can see from any seat in the house!

We have seen My Fair Lady many many times, in many venues, including once in England. Can almost repeat the lines myself, but the Hale's presentation of it was the best ever! The entire sell out crowd was on their feet at the end of the show & we couldn't stop clapping & cheering. Mr Rob Stuart was incredible as Higgins. And Eliza & Col Pickering were fabulous. The choreography & singing were just superb. Thank you for such a wonderful evening! Highly recommend seeing this show!

I hate to be a naysayer but if i had to choose between a large venue and a smaller more intimate venue, you have already guessed which i would choose. now you will not get to see Hamilton here, but i'd take a local production of anything over a traveling ensemble. the theater is classic, a stadium type set up where everyone has the best seat in the house. Come for one show and you will see another. we see 2 or 3 a season, and are thinking of season tickets.

The theater provides good local entertainment at reasonable prices. Also a great bunch of good restaurants nearby.

We saw the production of Sing'n in the Rain. Very talented performers - singing and dancing. Theatre in the round has all great seats at reasonable prices. Will definitely go again.

If you ever travel to Gilbert, AZ, make sure you check whether you can get Hale tickets. The concert hall presents very talented and dedicated artists playing music from abba to Zappa. The theater next door puts up plays in the round (seats are located around a center stage).
And there enough restaurants around there for dinner before of after the show

I’ve been to several plays here and have never been disappointed. The seats are great—-you can see and hear everything. The temperature is not freezing cold like some establishments. The quality of actors is always amazing!

There were 45 of us that saw A Christmas Car .Small older theater with a lot of charm. Theater was in the round, being stage in middle and seats all around stage,so no one had a bad seat. The actors were very good ,and you could tell they were enjoying themselves. The also came outside after show and talked to people. I thought that was a nice touch.
The only draw back ,hard to get to restrooms, while play was going on, although they did have an intermission.
A few people i saw leave with handkerchiefs over there nose and month, because of the fog machine. I was setting second roll up from stage and i also got a nose full of fog.. A lot of people have breathing problems. so maybe cut back a little on fog or have better vents..
All in all it was very enjoyable and i would go back... made for a nice evening.

Hale Theatre offers wonderful performances at a great entertainment value. My husband and I have attended many of the performances at different times. The actors, many with years of experience at local and off-broadway venues, provide a rich, multi-character performance that is mind boggling. The casting, staging, lighting and ambience of this wonderful theatre is highly recommended for all ages. Go Hale!

Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert AZ presents family-friendly musicals and plays all year. A holiday tradition is A Christmas Carol, a musical retelling of Dickens' classic tale with soaring music, award-winning actors and marvelous costumes. My wife and I have attended many highly entertaining shows there. We rate the Hale 5 stars!

I hadn’t been to a play in years. So, my husband took me to a performance of Harvey (one of my favorite Jimmy Stewart movies) at Hale Center Theatre for my birthday and it was fabulous! The lobby is so beautiful! The theatre itself is large enough to feel spacious and yet still gives a feeling of intimacy as the show takes place in the center of the room. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The performers, costumes, props, lighting and sound were absolutely fantastic! I fell in love with the theatre all over again! Whether you’re a local or you’re just visiting the area, I highly recommend attending one of the spectacular shows performed at Hale Center Theatre!

Enjoyable, professional, well done. We enjoyed it. Not a bad seat in the house. They provide packages that help you save.

Ben Hale assembled an awesomely talented cast to bring us a marvelous ABBA tribute concert. After Bridgeeta's beutifully sad rendition of "The Winner Takes It All" I scanned the audience spotting fans sobbing, wiping tears away. The band was superb, very tight, extremely talented. John Houston on the key boards was his marvelous self. Thank you Ben..

Hale is a fun place to go and enjoy great shows and acting!! It is near great restaurant in the cute downtown area of Gilbert so it is convenient to do a dinner and show. Add spice and fun to life!

We have never seen a better show than "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" at the Hale in Gilbert, Az. Willie Wonka anc Charlie were phenominal! If you haven't seen it, you are really missing a fabulous show. I would certainly rank this ad comparable to shows we've seen on Broadway in New York. Wow!!!

I am a season ticket subscriber. The layout in the round allow everyone to have a good seat. The musicals are Broadway worthy and everyone is so pleasant. We even get to visit with the performers after the show. Plus the price is right.

A fun evening was spent at the Hale Center Theater. The acting was good and well worth the money we spent to attend a performance. It met our expectations and we will be back

I booked tickets for a BFF bday getaway in Gilbert Arizona. I choose this after reading reviews here and looking at their website. I admit we had a slight concern when we saw the sea of grey hair in the audience, but it was a 5 star performance. I almost didn't buy tickets ahead assuming there would be seats in a community theater, but I'm glad I did get them ahead as it was a full house. I Would do will call if I go to Gilbert again. I actually forgot my tickets ( I live in Canada) There was no problem looking it up.
I haven't been to a round theater before and it's a must try. While the seats were a very slightly old style squished, ( & air freshener In the bathroom would be a good idea) it did appear that every seat had a good view. It was neat to see how the director placed everyone so no one feels like they missed out on any action. I didn't take a star off for being squishy as it was a great night and it was a nice temperature.
The price point is fine. All the staff were friendly and appeared happy.
The drinks & snacks were reasonable priced which I truly appreciate. I loathe price gouging at theaters. There was free water as well. No problems with parking and there are several restaurants around.
The cast for John Loves Mary surprised me with their talent and pulled me right in. They stayed outside to thank people and came together for our picture- that I will share if my friend ever emails it to me. ( hint hint 😂😉)
There was wheelchair seating available.
I was I, pressed with all of the actors, director and behind the scene staff. I will send a short out to the actors and recommend any future shows they may participate in. From the program they were Kim Stephenson Smith, Matthew r. Harris, David Michael Paul, Laura Soldan, Justin Howell, Juli Gore, Joey Morrison, Tom Endicott & Bobby Jean Owensby. Bravo!

I love this theater! We see the Christmas carol every year. A small tight knit theater that involves you! So great!

Lucky Gilbert residents...what a well designed theater.
Saw a delightful Oscar Wilde play, costumes, set, actors all very professional and well done.
There really are no bad seats. I look forward to going to more shows at the Hale. But get there early, parking can make for a long walk. Especially if it's a weekend.
Snack bar available. Many friends have a subscription for the season. Which is a great way to go on a budget.

We've been going to the Hale for years. Had season tickets for 3 yrs now. Absolutely incredible how they do their shows in such a small area. Great talent. Audiences are delighted. We also go to the Phoenix Orpheum Theater and Gammage shows, and the Hale is no less...really! Convenient to get to and plenty of parking. Nice building. New Year's Eve is fun with Cheescake Factory cheesecake. If they repeat a show, we even see it again. Dinner at Romeo's Euro Cafe and a show at the Hale --- one of our favorite evenings out! Reasonably priced, especially the season tickets.

So glad we found this place. Went to see The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton tribute. Great show. Really enjoyed hearing Ben Hale’s daughter sing. Amazing voice. She was adorable. I have our tickets for the Memphis Rock and Roll Revue. Looking forward to it!
Highly recommend this venue.

This is truly a Gilbert cultural treasure! Hale Centre Theatre is a "theater-in-the-round" (i.e. stage in the center, seating all around) venue where there isn't a bad seat in the entire place. It features dramas, comedies, and musical productions starring extremely talented local area actors. 1st rate theatrical productions at reasonable prices - very highly recommended!

We've Bern to several shows at Hale and they all have been first class. Lots of energy. Wonderful choreography. Believable characters. Really a great experience.

"No, No Nanette" was completely enjoyable. The music, the acting, costumes, sets, everything about it was wonderful. It was so very nice to see a show that was joyful and non-political. Everyone of the actors was multi-talented. The theater seating is in the round and there are no bad seats. The Hale theater is in a great location in downtown Gilbert to be able to enjoy a dinner or refreshments at any number of eating establishments either before or after the show. I visit every time I am in the area and I am never disappointed.

The most enjoyable feature of this theater is you are always close to the entertainment. No need for spy glasses to see what is going on. Not a bad seat in the house. I love going there. Great productions.

Reasonably priced theater in the round. I've been three times to see two shows. Yes, I saw one twice, it's that good.most recently I saw West Side Story. It was so well done and a pleasure to witness. These are great performers. Go try it out sometime. They have a wide variety of shows staff is friendly and helpful.

Always good shows and a cozy intimate setting where there are no bad seats! Production value and acting for a small venue is always amazing. Try to see A Christmas Carol here...did it years ago...was great!

My second time here and we saw west side story. The play was amazing ,the actors were great always. This place is always packed. So make sure you get seats well in advance. There are no bad seats by the way. Love this little theater. ❤️❤️❤️

This theater is a black box theater with no bad seat. Sound is great, acting is good, and nice atmosphere. I'd like to see a second exit option. They are doing some updates as well, which I'm excited for. Snack bar could use some re- working. Overall, great experience.

The shows are always fantastic and there really aren't any bad seats. It's a small theater with the stage in the center. The actors are really good and fun. I always have a good time no matter what show is playing. The actors have amazing voices and I love to see how they portray different genres. It's a really fun place to visit. There are also plenty of restaurants around because it is in the downtown section of Gilbert so you can go early, get a good parking spot and have a bite to eat before seeing the show. I highly recommend it.

This theatre is so cozy. There is no bad seating, everything is so close. You can actually hear the actors very easily without their microphone. This is an awesome setting that makes it so intimate. The quality of the actors have always exceeded my expectation which makes me always coming back.

We always love the performances here. We saw My Fair Lady in April and it was excellent. We just got home from seeing The Wizard of Oz, and again, we're impressed. The singing, dancing and acting is always wonderful. Oh! And the costumes, set design, lighting and music are always spot on. Thank you Hale Center Theater for producing quality shows every time. I always take my 8 year old daughter and she loves it. We take the whole family from 8 to 15 to see the Christmas Carol every year too!

What a lovely hidden gem. We went to see A Christmas Carol at the Hale Theatre. It is a round stage so everyone can see the play from all different angles. It's not a huge theatre which makes it all the more attractive to us. The play was very professional, actors did a great job. The set was unique as they used all the different exits and surrounding iles as part of the play. We look forward to going when we are back in Mesa. Oh, it was a block away from our wonderful meal at IL Postino. We made a night of it but go early as there were line ups at all the restaurants in the area. It's an upcoming trendy spot.

What an excellent show the four young men played and sang were terrific. We saw the play forever plaid we thought it was great and we will book tickets for another show.

My wife dragged me along "Sister Act" and what I thought was going to be something not far removed from a high school musical. Boy, was I ever wrong on that one. Apart from the seating "in the round" proving to be a great idea - almost part of the action with no bad seat in the house, the quality of the performers was exceptional. No community theater here. If this is the regular quality of performances, we will be looking at season tickets.
This was a great night out which I enjoyed more than any show we have seen on Broadway.
Great job! Keep it coming.
If you are thinking about going, do it! You won't be disappointed.

We go to several productions a year at the Hale and always come away amazed. Where does this talent come from?!?! Just saw “Cash on Delivery”. Hysterically funny. Comedic timing was perfection. Not a bad seat in the house. Love this little gem of a theater. *Thank you to the staff member who changed my seat due to a recent leg injury*
*Highly recommend dining at Nico Heirloom Kitchen before or after the show*

Great actors, excellent production of Sister Act. Have purchased season tickets and looking forward to other shows.

This place is so great and cozy, great location in downtown Gilbert, very fair prices and a great selection of shows. Passionate and experienced actors and great special effects. I have seen three shows so far. You must go for "A Christmas Carol" with your family around Christmas time, it's an excellent experience. They do great comedies as well throughout the year. I plan to be back many times.

Just saw the little mermaid on Jul 26. This is a small theatre with no bad seats. The performers did an outstanding job and the show took advantage of every inch of the theatre. I was in a seat at the end of the last row and felt part of the performance at times as some performers came out of a small door and stood right next to me. I had lights on me and it seemed like my own personal show.
While the performance is basically the same as the movie there are some unique songs not in the movie and the ending is a bit different then the movie.
The performers were great and the props were outstanding for such a small theater.
Great family fun and would be a great show for young children. The performers stayed after the show to mingle and take pictures which was great also.

Just saw "sound of music" and it was GREAT. One of the best ever at the Hale Theatre. The cast did an excellent job in putting on the performance. It is a MUST for everyone. I look forward to my next visit to the Hale Theatre in Gilbert, AZ.

Hale theater is set up in a square with seating on all sides and the "stage" in the center. This makes for an intimate theater experience with no bad seats. The shows are very well done and we have always enjoyed our times there.

Great place to go with friends. The shows are always first class, the actors and actresses are exceptional. I do not think there is a bad seat in the place. Intermission is long enough to either get food, drink or use the restroom. No problem with finding parking either. Convenient restaurants near by.

Second year as a season ticket holder. Excellent venue. Quaint theater where every seat is a great seat. Great talent all around. I appreciate the clean, family friendly shows.

I’m not a big fan of plays but I have to say I love the intamacy of this place. The cast and production of this place continues to impress me. Love coming here. Especially the musicals

I'm visiting my brother in AZ and had the opportunity to go to the Hale Theater. What a unique stage! Every seat is the house is a good one. I took some pics to share perspective. Enjoy the show!

We took the family to see A Christmas Carol. Lived in Gilbert my entire life and had never been. The theater was intimate, beautiful and a wonderful show from every angle. Loved it!!!! Would definitely return.

We heard about the Hale theatre only by a chance conversation at our timeshare and were glad that we did. The show Meet Me At St Louis was a pleasant piece of fluff presented in the round.

The Hale has become a Christmas tradition for us. The theatre is excellent. Great talent perform here and there is not a bad seat in the house. The Christmas Carole is excellent and such a magical experience. We've come to several shows here and it's just excellent.

A very "cozy" venue. When walking in your first thought might be..."what a tiny stage, must be a grade school production". But, once the performance begins, you will be pleased (and amazed) at what the very talented troupe can accomplish in so little space. Well worth the visit...and a variety of places within walking distance to enjoy before and after food and drink.

I have been to Hale Theatre several times. It is a great way to see live performances for a great price. There is not a bad seat in the house, and the caliber of acting, dancing, and singing has always made for an enjoyable time. Highly recommend it if you have not been. Holiday shows are fantastic for the whole family.

Loved it...great actors, steady flow of script, and no bad seats. Wonderful evening out with family that we all can enjoy. 💫

We went and saw Hairspray and were thrilled with the performance and price we paid. Although the theatre no longer offers a student rush, they offer a small discount for students. We have been to see shows here many times and are impressed each and every time.

We are winter visitors to Scottsdale and discovered the Hale Theater quite by accident about a year ago. We have been to 3 shows and they have always been outstanding. Great actors/singers in an intimate theater-in-the-round setting. Very, very affordable given the quality of the productions. Excellent restaurants within walking distance of the theater. Wonderful parking accomations. One word of caution though, if you are traveling from Scottsdale area please note that commuter traffic along the 101 heading south is terrible. Better to leave at 3pm and enjoy a nice dinner in Gilbert before the 7pm show.

I'm a theatre snob and love this local theatre. Their productions are always professional with great costumes and ingenious sets. Seating is in the round and the actors know how to play to all parts. You'll be delighted.

Very intimate, not a bad seat in the house. excellent variety of shows and family friendly.
good value and located in downtown Gilbert surrounded by many restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic.Great production and superb acting by the entire cast.Dexter character was fabulous and really funny.

Theater is nice. Lots of busy restaurants around he theater to eat. Just need to get there early to get it - busy area. Parking lot close by and free - easy in and out! It was fun and entertaining- more like a summer stock show. Drinks and cookies and candy available for sale before and during intermission.

This is definitely a “must go to place”. We moved here 2 yrs ago and found this theatre by accident. All the tribute shows are great. Went to see the Beatles last night. They were wonderful. Played all my favorite songs. Ben Hale is a fabulous singer also. His little daughter, Loretta, is a phenomenal singer, to be so young. Always enjoy her being there to sing. No bad seat in the house!

Have gotten season tickets for several years, but this year is shaping up to be the best ever! Highly recommend this theater - their choice of plays/musicals is excellent & their productions are always first class. Have seen 2 so far this year & we're enamored! Don't miss a show here!

The Hale is a smaller "in the round" theater. I have been to shows in this theater several times and have never been disappointed with the show. The company makes sure to stage the actors so that everybody gets a good view of the actors throughout the night.
The actors are always very good, The sound is clear and loud enough to hear without being distorted.
The snack bar has a limited amount of drinks and candy type snacks. The is usually some type of cookie. The staff is friendly and helpful. You have to walk onto or through the stage area to get to your seat. Therefore they are strict about not letting you in while the actors are on stage preforming.
There are several shows during the years and the theater is often sold out. All seats are reserved. The evening shows start about 7:30 and end around 10:30 pm. Plenty of parking within a reasonable walk. Also, several good dining establishments in the area.

Our group went to see "The Scarlet Pimpernel" in May. We were so impressed with the three leads and their singing (not to mention the 'brother' - also excellent). Lots of power - lots of emotion. Just superb!
Looking forward to next year's performance of "Guys and Dolls".

I love this little Gem! My husband and I have been a handful of times and every time we go I swear the shows get better and better. The amount off detail and what they can do with the space they have is amazing! The actors are great with wonderful voices. This is always my go to gift idea as well!!!! Mothers day, fathers day, birthdays, Christmas and even just a thank you for babysitting gift. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 was because It would be nice to have a little more selection on food and beverage. Sometimes when you have kids its hard to go for dinner before so it would be nice to be able to have a drink and something more then a candy bar while you are watching the show. All in all its a fantastic night out and it wont break the bank!

We’re still pretty new to the area. Found this great theatre while riding through Gilbert. So glad I looked it up. Looked like a theatre back home in NC that puts on plays and music shows and that’s exactly what it is. We’ve seen Dolly Parton, Buddy Holly and Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn impersonators and they have all been great. Loved the music. No bad seat in the theatre or studio next door. We have tickets to see Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson soon. My friends have taken their children to see great children’s plays. Highly recommend Hale Theatre.

Very intimate seating. There are no bad seats in the house. The actors are passionate and the location is convenient.

Good local community theater with a super nicee venu. There is not a bad seat in the house and most productions have a fairly long run.

Saw the recent production of “The Music Man” and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great night out. There were 18 of us in our group and everyone was entertained trained with the singing and the dancing! What fun!

My wife got us tickets to this for our anniversary and I was very delighted at the quality of the show.. I can’t wait to go see more shows

If you haven't been to the Hale Theater, you are truly missing out. The Hale presents a variety of comedy plays and musicals each season. I must admit that some of the plays are dated (still entertaining), but the musicals are always top quality. There are also smaller musical productions, usually featuring a quartet of singers. They are fun, but not as lavish as the big musicals.
Last year, their production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" had me smiling and laughing from the opening scene through to the surprising ending. This week friends and I saw "No, No, Nanette", a campy comedy featuring a hilarious grandpa, outstanding singers, and energetic tap dancers. And you can't help but notice the wonderful costumes. Kudos to the designer! They are amazing.
The Hale also does favorites such as "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Little Mermaid". This season includes "Sister Act".
This is a theater in the round, so all seats are good. Prices are very reasonable: $35 if tickets are purchased separately, $24 if you buy a season pass. The season tickets are flexible. Friends and I purchased a pass for only the musicals, and we can choose which nights we want to go. If we want to add a show, additional tickets are also $24.
The theater is surrounded by excellent restaurants, all in a 1-2 block walk. Behind the theater is a huge parking lot.

The show was decent. They try hard . It's a very small theater. Sort of rinky-dink. Was not something we would go back to . It is like a small "Little Theatre". Has a hard time competing with Mesa center of the arts, Chandler center of the arts, Scottsdale center of their arts .

This is truly a gem right in my own backyard. I love coming here. Great acting, great shows. A Christmas Carol has become an annual tradition for my family. Not a bad seat in the house and priced reasonably. You must check this venue out!

Love the smaller venue, Plenty of seats and show dates for everyone. walking distance to downtown dining. makes a great date night dinner a show and after drinks at your favorite nightspot.

Just left the Hale Theater. Saw Daddy Long Legs during the matinee performance. They have out done themselves! Absolutely fabulous show. Both of the performers were awesome! The singing was excellent, the story line is precious, & the musicians were amazing. We were hesitant to go due to Covid 19, but here also they have done a fantastic job - plenty of space for distancing, masks required, & they cleaned the railings before, during, & again at intermission. Kudos to management & staff. Thank you so much for giving us a little enjoyment during these stressful days. If you haven't already bought a ticket, you had better rush!!!!

If you want to see incredible shows in Gilbert, which are top rate, please do yourself a favor and go see this wonderful theater. There isn't a bad seat in the house and is in the round. A very intimate theater. I have been seeing shows there since their 1st "A Christmas Carol", many years ago. Amazing..

We have been to Hale Theater many times as a couple and and as a family. We love the small venue. There is not a bad seat in the place. The boys 16 and 12 love everything we have taken them to see. It is a must see for anyone.

My sister gifted me with 5 performances for the 2014-15 season at The Hale Theater. This is a charming venue in old town Gilbert, and the performances are very good and fun to watch.
I especially loved My Fair Lady... I wondered how they could produce this one in the small, in the round, arena that is the Hale Theater stage, but they did a bang up job!
Definitely worth a visit!

This performance was fantastic!
The players were spot on.
They has the British accents down, their timing was great, the actors were right into their characters!
The audience was laughing and truly enjoying the show.
The theatre is intimate with every seat being the best seat in the house.
See it before it finishes!!

I was amazed at this little theatre. What a true entertainment experience. The actors were just wonderful. There are no bad seats in this intimate theatre in the round. The acoustics are great and easy to hear every word. I was just amazed at the caliber of the acting and the way they did the set and stage area. I figured it would be sort of "Hokey". It wasn't at all. All ages would enjoy it even though most there were elderly. A wonderful evening and very affordable.

The Hale Theater is a fixture in Gilbert's downtown area. The venue is intimate with seating surrounding the stage. They have a wonderful selection of show every season and are walking distance to several downtown dining spots.

Saw the tribute to Carpenters, Olivia Newton-John, Bread. Excellent, super enjoyable show! Singers and band were spot on and nailed every song!
Theater is very comfortable with great viewing for every seat. Show was 2 hrs with a 15-min intermission. Parking nearby is easy and free.

This is an excellent theater in the round, with fantastic actors and wonderful shows! This is not to be missed during a visit to Gilbert or the east valley. We are genuinely impressed with each and every performance! Highly recommended!

Do not waste your time with this place. Their staff are inexperienced and management is rude. They are not family friendly which is particularly disturbing in a town like Gilbert Az that is a family centered place. Their stage is tiny, and you are not allowed to get up during the performance because every aisle is needed for set changes and actors to enter and exit. Despite this ridiculous and potentially unsafe arrangement, they still charge prices that are comparable to larger, more professional settings. Skip this setting and make the drive to Phoenix for live theater.

This is our third trip to Hale and we immensely production and the seating. It is a theater-in-the-round with no bad seat in the house. The talent is mostly local and outstanding.

Live Theater as its meant to be. A small venue in the round with great shows and good actors. Especially love the Christmas shows which have become a annual event for us

This place is amazing. It is small enough that there's not a bad seat in the house. However, it's large enough to attract GREAT performers. We love it so much that we finally decided on season tickets. $25/show for a minimum of 5 shows. Last night we showed up for our show only to discover we had the wrong night. They quickly got us two seats for that night without any issues.

We just saw Fiddler on the Roof at Hale and it was an amazing performance. We've seen a number of plays here and have never been disappointed. We really like the intimate atmosphere - no seat is far from the stage. The performers are totally professional and very enthusiastic in their roles. We will be back for more shows.

We had stopped by on a Saturday morning when a young man employed at the theatre invited us in for a quick look. Later, we got tickets to see "Heaven Can Wait" as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. We enjoyed the entire evening. The play was great, the view was good (I don't think there's a bad seat in the house) and the actors all did a great job. Highly recommend this venue for an outing.

I saw the Christmas Carol here. It was so well done! And the way the star is center and seating is around it, there are only good seats. I really enjoyed it.

We have seen many produtions over the years and each one has been exceptional. The surrounding area has really grown and there are numerous places to eat before or after the show. We enjoy the theater being in the round and have never had a bad seat. After the show the actors will have a meet and greet, it's a great way to say hi! The theater is located across from the large water tower in Gilbert. Ample parking is available.

This small gem of a local theater puts on professional plays and musicals for all ages. There are no bad seats in this intimate theater and the energy before each show is so exciting.. you can tell the actors love what they do. Downtown Gilbert offers so many places to enjoy a glass of wine before or after a show.. this is a real treat for a date night or a gal's night out with your friends. I subscribe to season tickets to get the best prices but you can pick and choose too. They just posted their offerings for the next season.Don't miss this venue!!

We've been going to the Hale for years and are always delighted with their musicals! The caliber of talent is very high and their productions always amaze! This is a "theatre in the square" - with a small stage and minimalist sets that always deliver! A very intimate theatre that is one of the best bargains in town!

We came here to see somethings afoot by Agatha Christie and wow where we surprised. I'm not a big fan of musicals and plays but we had such a great time and the theater was so intimate the actors were top notch the costumes were top notch and we really loved it.I will definitely go see a play here again

What a great place to take your whole family without a worry. Always Family Friendly, Always professional, always great entertainment and always worth your money. We have been attending the Hale Center Theatre in Gilbert, AZ, West Valley, UT, Orem, UT for many years and would recommend it to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Exposure your family to live theater up close and personal without risking exposure to immoral, sexual, or immodest behavior.

We attended the Musical Comedy, Meet Me in St. Louis. It was very enjoyable. All the actors and singers were very talented. The staff are all very friendly and helpful as well.
You can buy tickets in person at the theatre, on line or by telephone and pick them up the night of the performance. We have been attending this theatre for many years. They have dramas, comedies and musicals. They have received many awards for their performances. They do a fantastic job with their sets and staging, considering that this is a theater in the round. Patrons sit on all 4 sides of the stage, which is in the center. There really are no bad seats in the house. The trolley scenes were especially great.

The Hale Theatre is the best kept secret of all times. This theatre in the 'square' has excellent seats anywhere you sit. The plays are always well done, the actors' performances are excellent, and this casual venue has a great sound system. I have been several times, but my recent play was "Footloose." The actors danced fabulously in small places, there was NEVER a 'down' moment in the play and the audience was clapping and enjoying every minute. I cannot recommend this venus more highly.

Although small in comparison to other theaters, the Hale provides something no others do..."on stage seating"!!! The environment, atmosphere and ambiance of this theater is amazing. You are actually within arms-reach of the actors which gives the audience a totally new perspective to plays.
Would highly recommend that if you haven't yet visited the Hale...do it!!! You won't be disappointed...

My first visit to Hale Center Theatre was surprisingly good.
I had heard it was a small theatre in the round but everything about it was first rate. We saw a spoof on Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps. I laughed during the entire show.
The seats were very comfortable. The small size of the theatre made for an intimate setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire theatre was very clean.
Great family entertainment.

Halle theater is a charming little theater in the round. There isn't a bad seat in the place. hey have 5or 6 different plays each year. While no food is served in the theater, there are many great restaurants within walking distance. I have always enjoyed their performances.

View the website for current showings. The theatre is small and cozy- not a bad seat in the round. The plays are appropriate for all ages.

We went with another couple to the Hale Theatre. As visiting out-of-towners, we like the little theater-in-the-round and thought they had a nice selection of plays throughout the year. We got to see "Cash on Delivery" by Michael Cooney and it was very enjoyable. Full of laughs at every turn! My husband and I have followed Ray Cooney's career for a long time (Michael's father). We first became aware of his plays when we saw one on the West End (London) and fell for his plot lines. Then we got lucky because we are from Minneapolis and the Old Log Theater built a relationship with Ray. Cooney would often open a new play at the Old Log to test out the script and audience before he took it to the West End. So we got to enjoy many a good time and even saw Ray Cooney himself in the audience. Michael certainly is his father's son when it comes to plot lines, and that couldn't please us more. We saw "Cash on Delivery" before also and knew the script was a good one. The Hale actors did a great job in pulling this one off and Cooney would surely smile.

This place is great, not a bad seat in the theater (circular arrangement). Shows are also great. Many are 'Broadway' with a Hale 'take'. Cast could be professional off-Broadway travelers, volunteer semi-pro. Hopefully, I might be correct w/this info. Several very good places close & nearby for lunch, HR, dinner.

What a great intimate little theatre! Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Not a bad seat in the house. The actors all seem to truly enjoy performing. After the play, several good restaurants to enjoy a meal or drink. Will be back!!

All of our friends have raved about this production of Charles Dickins' Christmas Carol so we just had to go!
This will now be a Christmas tradition for our family. The theater in the round gives the audience a perspective they won't forget.
We were able to see the cast with Cory McClosky & they were fabulous.

Have been to Hale Theatre served times and have always enjoyed the shows. The last one we saw was Wizard of Oz. The level of talent especially "Dorothy" was outstanding, we throughly enjoyed the show. We have now bought a seasons ticket so we can get to see all the shows. The cost of the shows is very reasonable.

Small venue where every seat is good and you feel like you are part of the action. Well worth seeing any live performance here.

We liked the intimate setting of the play and we saw the Man with the Pointed Toes and the actors were very very good, humorous, talented and just a good evening.

We attended Christmas Carol. Really good acting, well presented and the sets very nicely done. They had it all and we liked it so much we purchased season tickets.

Every play I have been to here is top notch! They even managed to pull off South Pacific in an amazing way in the theatre in the round format! Wow! I will be back for more:)

Attended "A Christmas Carol" at the Hale Centre theatre in Gilbert. Was a great performance and not a bad seat in the house.

Have been many many times to Hale Centre Theatre and it is always a wonderful experience. Because it is a theatre in the round, you are totally a part of the play. Most recent was to see Hello Dolly and could not have asked for a better performance or experience.

We've enjoyed 3 plays here during 2012-2013. This is a relatively small theater - sound system is good and acting is well done. All seating has good view of action. And the seats are comfortable.

My wife and I went to see the tribute to ABBA a week ago today. We had a terrific time. The singers did an amazing job of connecting with the audience. Their voices are impeccable. The band was terrific. Well worth the time and money. Lots of fun. We noticed the rest of the remaining shows are sold out. You are in for a treat if you have tickets to go. Two big thumbs up.

Have seen two shows here. Small intimate venue, great performances. Highly recommend. Go a bit early and have diner prior to the show. Centrally located in downtown Gilbert.

This small theater in downtown Gilbert is quite amazing. All of the seats are excellent and the play was very well done. The acoustics are excellent and you won't miss a word. Add this to your Christmas itinerary and you won't be disappointed.

We went to see the play "Cash On Delivery" at the Hale Theatre. The theatre is nice and the performance was great (laughed and laughed at this comedy). The chairs were comfortable. We bought our tickets at the last minute and got the last 2 seats available. One of the seats (J 1 in the north section) had a partially obstructed view--it looked like that was probably the only seat in the theatre that had an obstructed view. I hope we will get to go again next time we are in the Phoenix area, but we will try to reserve sooner and get a different seat. It was a fun play and a good theatre experience.

This outstanding live musical production, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, with seating in the round, brought high quality entertainment and roaring laughter to a packed house. The cast thrilled us with song and dance. Props and costumes were imaginative, beautiful, and magical. Perfect evening to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely be back for future productions.

We have attended a number of Christmas Carol performances over the past 12 years at Hale Center Theatre. This year the music, costumes & performers ( especially Fox 10 News Corey McCloskey's Scrooge!!) kept us smiling & trying NOT to sing along! This old familiar tale seemed new somehow. We left the theater overjoyed that we had come! An unexpected hug from Scrooge and a Caroling cast, as we left, made this memorable evening indeed! Thanks Hale Theater for a great way to begin our Christmas season!

I have seen two shows here and although I didn't like the casting and pacing of the first show, it was acceptable. Last week I saw Hairspray which was well-cast and high energy. My wife and I are seriously thinking of seeing it again.

Great production and consistently well-performed. .Up-close to the action at almost any seat. Money and time well-spent. Grab a bite next door or across the street afterwards!

The evening was colorful..musical and entirely enjoyable..the set was done very well.in the round..the singing and dancing was choreographed to fit the space and no one in the place wasn't smiling by intermission...
We plan to return again to support the arts and enjoy a wonderful evening.
We traveled from north Scottsdale and think it is well worth the trip. Seating is comfortable...parking convenient ....price is right

Great little theatre in the heart of Gilbert AZ. Fun production and no bad seats in the theater. If I had to comment on what could be better is that the floor was uneven and you really had to watch your step so you didn't trip.

Wasn't sure what to expect for local theatre - but the show was easily THE BEST local production I have ever seen. Production values were way beyond what I expected, direction, wardrobe - all suburb.
DON'T MISS THIS SHOW!!!!!

Took my family to a show. The small intimate atmosphere was just right. Acting was better than expected.

Amazing performances at the Hale throughout the entire year! Actors do a marvelous job with a small area, which has no blind spots! Great place to enjoy a performance and oh so close to fabulous restaurants!

This theatre is on the smaller side but the shows are great, and the theatre in the round style makes every seat a great seat. The facility is beautiful and gives you the "out to the theater" feel. There are quite a few fun and delicious restraunts within just steps of the theatre, and makes for a fun night out.

Hale Theater consistently shows play performances that are above average. They put on about different shows throughout the year, each one lasts 2 to 6 weeks, so there is almost one different show offered per month. Most recent play. Attended was Phantom of the Opera which was wonderfully done.

We saw the Christmas Carol in this theatre. I was impressed by how professional the acting was. I liked their adaptation and enjoyed the evening tremendously. The theater is in the round and the right size so that every seat is a good one.

Ok so I am not usually into plays or musicals,(my husband and I almost fell asleep then had a yawning fit at the phantom of the opera in Vegas). But I felt the urge to try something differen. So I bought tickets for our friends and ourselves to go see " same things afoot". Wow! We were pleasantly surmised how much fun it was. The theater itself is so small that there's not a bad seat in the house. In fact you almost feel like your right on stage with the actors. The costumes and acting were top notch for sure, and the only thing I would change is a little better sound system. But other than that we had a great time and will definitely be returning.

Hale Theater productions are both affordable and laudable. We have season tickets and enjoy the range of selections from highly popular musicals to off-beat and wacky comedies--The Drowsy Chaperone comes to mind. Theater in the round and the closeness of the seats to the stage add considerably to the experience. The Little Mermaid just opened (July 7) and provided sheer fun and a welcome diversion from the dreadful politics of our day.

The caliber of shows we've seen at Hale have been top notch. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

We saw South Pacific and brought a visitor from Illinois. We all really enjoyed the play and even though we had bought the last 3 tickets which were located in 3 different areas of the theatre, they realized the situation on their own and offered us 3 seats together right in front which was so thoughtful.

I have been a season-ticket holder of the Hale Theater since 2006
It is one of the best theaters in the Gilbert Valley they put on some amazing Productions
We never missed the Christmas carol every year it's such a great fun evening with lots of local restaurants to choose from prior to seeing the play
Take the time to look at next year's lineup and purchase season tickets it's great

Love community theater and Hale Theater is one of the most enjoyable. Small theater in the round where there are no bad seats. Love the fact that the actors come right down the steps and aisle along side you. There are also many fun restaurants nearby for before or after the play. Parking is sometimes tight so you may need to walk a bit.

Small local theater with a huge talent base. Doing mostly musicals and comedies, they have also presented some outstanding dramas. How they do so much in such a small space is really amazing.

Go.
Too bad TripAdvisor requires more than one word in a review because GO is all this review would say.
We live in the area and no one in our acquaintance has ever said a word one way or another about the Hale Centre Theatre. We love a nearby restaurant for breakfast and are here often. Today, by chance, we parked directly in front of the building. When we returned to our car after breakfast my wife was looking at the small marquee on the front telling what shows are coming. Old folk’s eyesight being what it becomes we walked up for a closer look. The current show was “A Christmas Carol”.
We went inside to find a brochure and when we inquired about the shows we were given a mini tour of the theatre by a very pleasant woman. From there it was a no-brainer and we ended up with tickets to that evening’s 5:00pm performance, luckily there were two seats together, because of the popularity all three shows were almost sold out and there were mostly only single seats available.
The theatre itself is, well, intimate best describes it and there doesn’t appear to be a bad seat in the house. We had never seen an “in-the round” show until now and this one, at least, was terrific. The production was just terrific. The acting, costumes and music were all delightful. We loved the theatre and the production. After the performance the troupe gathered outside in front of the entrance and treated us to Christmas carols as we left. Great fun and if you weren’t before it certainly helped to get you into the “Christmas Spirit” and, gasp, without trying to sell you something at 40% off no small miracle these days.
We are considering just going for it and buying a ticket package for the remainder of their season. Ticket prices are more than reasonable especially considering the quality of the performers and the performance itself.
Go, treat yourself to a great evening.

We attended "A Christmas Carol" with friends who see this every year. It was a fabulous production and we will return soon. The actors were very professional and the theater in the round provided an up close and personal experience! Check out their website for future plays.

Every performance here that I have seen has been very professional and presented with great style. You are up close to the artists and feel very connected to them.
You can't go wrong with any offering they have.

Love the Hale theatre. Always a fun evening out in downtown Gilbert! The actors do a great job, costumes and set top notch. This group of people really enjoy what they do. Not really a bad seat in the theatre. Third year of season tickets and is a great deal!

Great venue for quality entertainment. Not a bad seat in the house. Close to an assortment of restaurants. We have seen several shows and all have been well worth the price of admission. All age groups can enjoy this venue. Highly recomendec.

Word of mouth- many locals attend the performances which have a great rating; with good restaurants located in the vicinity. Small town charm.

I have attended several productions at the Hale Theatre and find this to be a gem in the center of Old Town Gilbert. If you like "live" theatrical productions within an intimate environment - this is it. Would recommend to give it a try.

Catching a show at Hale makes you feel like you are right there on stage as they do a production. Fun shows with quality talent and a unique experience. Great location to enjoy a date night or take the family.

We have been season ticket holders for several years. We have NEVER seen a bad show although we pick and chose from their offerings. If you have never seen a show somewhere else then you must experience it "in the round" at the Hale. Fantastic! Do no miss their annual "Christmas Carol." Book early and be prepared to be fully entertained. Classic!

I love Hale Theatre. It's nice and small, no bad seats and centrally located to some great places to eat before the show. The ticket prices are very good and the performances are always entertaining. I highly recommend going.

We attended a Tribute to Elvis last week and were more than pleased with with performers and the selection of music. The facilities are very intimate and welcoming.
We were seated in the front but all of the seats are excellent. Attending one of their performance will never be enough. You will be back. Order your tickets early because they go quickly.

Great place to see a top quality show. No bad seats and you are close to the stage. Enjoyed every show we have seen there

This intimate little theatre has no bad seating. The stage is the flood in the round . It reminds me of a scaled down Radio City Music Hall. It's live musicals and the cast is good. We saw the Andrews Brothers. A musical comedy, it was entertaining. They have different musicals,on coming up is West Side
Story.

I've been in musical theater and have seen a lot of theater and the Hale does an outstanding job. I can't even believe that we are in Gilbert every time I go!!! They are top notch and you will not be disappointed with their talent, sets and the fantastic time that you will have!!!!!

Saw A Christmas Carol here. Small theatre, so not a ton of seats, so be sure to buy your tickets in advance. Nice local, community theatre. Would recommend you don't sit in the front row as the theatre is small and performers are close by. We sat in the third row and it was perfect. Great location in downtown Gilbert with lots of local restaurants to hit up beforehand. I would recommend going to Postino or Oregano's if looking for a good spot to eat at before a show there.

A small, intimate theatre. Unusual layout with the stage being in the center -- with that being said, every seat has a great view of the performance. Have been to 5 or 6 productions here and each has been excellent.

Wonderful production. Nice theatre in the round. When I see something if interest on theur schedule I will consider.

The costumes appeared to be all new and were beautiful The set was great. Lots of laughs. . Loved all the actors. Fantastic job.

My first experience at Hale Theater occurred last Saturday, with the performance of The 39 Steps. The square stage is surrounded by audience seating and contains fairly comfortable seats, which ascend like an arena. During an intermission of 10 - 15 minutes, a small cart was rolled onto the stage, and drinks, cookies, and candy were available for purchase. These were also available in the lobby prior to the show. Bathrooms were easily accessible. Although the theater is small and has a casual elegance. Ticket prices are very reasonable, and I plan on taking advantage of this, whenever possible. A very nice way to spend a Saturday evening.
*An added extra: Afterwards, in the lobby, the performers conversed with the audience as they left.

Attended the latest offering by the quaint and delightful Hale Theatre in Gilbert, AZ, entitled 39 Steps. We had a wonderful time as this small cast of 4 put on an entertaining, hysterical and fun loving display. Good Physical Distancing, masks mandatory and hand sanitizing stations all made for a safe environment. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to attending future offerings....it’s a wonderful evening out.

Finally made it to gilbert to see A Christmas Carol and the Hale Centre Theatre. Both were wonderful and combined even better. The performance itself was marvelous and the integration with the audience at this theatre adds to the wonderful acting performances immensely. Hope to see more performances here though it is quite a distance or feels life it lol. In any case do go out and support your local theatre.

Hale Theatre is a unique venue. It is performed in the round with the stage area being below you in the center. Performances there are always excellent and will leave you very happy you came! We have seen several plays there ranging from musicals comedys to drams. This is a wonderful gem in old downtown Gilbert!

I love the theater! I took one of my 'reluctant' teenage grandsons to a show at the Hale and he thoroughly enjoyed the performance. You feel a personal connections to the actors and you can say hello and shake hands after the show is over!

There is not a bad seat in the house and for a community theater, the talent is really good. They do a lot of shows for kids and families and with great so many fantastic restaurants nearby, you can't find a better venue for the price.

We’ve been to two shows in this smaller in the round theater. The first play, a mystery, was a bit over acted. This recent performance, a comedy, was great. The seats are comfortable and prices are reasonable. Looking forward to the next show.

If you want consistantly, good shows to see in the east valley this is the place to go. Our favorite seats would be on the east or west sides, though almost all the seats are good in the theatre in the round. The actors/actresses are some of the best around. The Dietlien's own the theatre and are just nice people! Prices are good usually $24 for adults and $12 for kids 18 and under...what a deal. Great night out. High quality productions. Would highly recommend!!

Beside the Hale Theater is a smaller venue used for music concerts. We have seen a tribute to Patsy Cline & Loretta Lynn; ABBA and Roy Orbison. Music is great and the singers are very good. Definitely worth the time and money.

While this is not a large theater it is a great venue to see a show! There is not a bad seat in the house! The performers put forth their best for each performance! We saw Phantom there and we were very impressed with the level of the production and the performance! If yiou are expecting a NYC production you will be disappointed but that is not what this theater is about. Highly recommend seeing a show there and you will understand!

Hale is such a great spot to see a show! Great shows, great price and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Plus downtown Gilbert is a wonderful place to grab dinner and drinks before or after

Reasonably priced theater in the round. I've been there to see two shows. and both were well done and entertaining.

We came in from out of town for a wedding and was looking for a fun activity to do one evening and decided to attend "A Christmas Carol" to get us into the Christmas mood. We loved the family friendly atmosphere and the "in the round" experience of the Dicken's play. The staff was very friendly, the stage was intimate and inviting, and the performers were outstanding. This was FAR and AWAY better than any "community theatre" places we've ever been to in other cities. We will be returning for other performances each time we return to the Phoenix area. A unique find that isn't available in most places.

We have attended about 5 or 6 shows at the Hale Theatre. Ample parking. All the seats are great. We snowbird in AZ and are thinking of getting a package next year which gets you a 25% discount on the price of the tickets.

Best theatre Owners David and Corrine are a delight
We have never seen a play there that wasn't amazing they do a superb job

We went to the theater for the first time this past December to see A Christmas Carol. It was a very nice performance. All the seats appear to be very good as the stage is set in the center of the theater. We did have seats on the end of the 1st row on the West side. At times, we felt we were part of the cast as the actors were that close!

It was opening night of Mary Poppins. It is a small theatre in the round. Very intimate. 350 seats all offer a good view.
Reasonable prices. Excellent value for first rate performances.

We've been to 2-3 productions at the Hale Theater in downtown Gilbert and have never been disappointed. The theater itself offers good seating "in-the-round" fashion; great sightlines of the stage and sound projects well to all parts of the audience. Our most recent experience was last week when we saw "See How They Run;" a British spoof with lots of dialogue and on stage action--actors running about for one reason or another. The actors themselves seemed well-cast; the maid was hilarious, but all fit their parts well. All in all, a great night out.

Hale Theatre never disappoints. It is a small intimate "theater in the round." There isn't a bad seat in the house. The productions are always first rate, with outstanding costumes, sets and staging. Last night we saw "Mary Poppins" and just thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect for a date night or special occasion treat. When I have guests from out of town, I always check to see if the Hale has a production running, because it is a great place to take them. They do have wheelchair accessible seating available.

We have been season ticket holders at Hale for many years. We enjoy all the plays, but especially the comedies. We enjoy seeing plays with actors and actresses that have been in past productions at Hale.
We think anyone would enjoy going to a play at Hale Centre Theatre.

We have seen many events at Hale Theater especially the musicals. They are superb. Great sets, great voices and great dancing! Best kept secret in Arizona theater.

We went to see the play “Cash on Delivery” February 5, 2025. While the actors gave it their all, I found the play dragged on and on and overplayed its slapstick humor. My husband said he could fall asleep, wake up and not have missed anything. The actors were too loud and raucous. The humor was full of innuendos which I found offensive and made me u comfortable. I won’t choose this genre again to see at the Hale theatre. Last year we went to “My Fair Lady” which was superior in every way.

Great place to see a show. Great change from seeing a boring movie. Small, round seating where you can almost touch the cast. The cast puts so much effort into the show and get paid so little. It shows that they love their work. You can even meet them after the show. The shows are inexpensive and you will find a lot of dining in the area.Nice night out!

We just saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and it was fantastic. Not a bad seat in the house and you are always close to the action. The players do a superb job of playing to all sides of the house. We've seen 7 or 8 plays here and have never been disappointed.

Every year we see the Christmas Carol and throughout the year we have seen other performances.
The staff is great the actors ar excellent and the costumes and sets are superb.

We've attended several plays at the Hale Center Theatre and were season ticket holders for a few years. Nearly all the performances were a lot of fun and well-produced with great local talent. Since it is a theater in the round, there are no bad seats.
We have not gone recently, in part because there were an increasing number of repeat plays and partly because we have been trying other venues.
Overall, I highly recommend the Hale for good, affordable local entertainment.

It was better than I expected and was a great show with singing and history. The costumes were fantastic and the chairs are a little hard to sit in but overall it was great.Tickets are resonable.Easy to find and park and eat in downtown Gilbert. Please support our locals so they stay. The crowd is older for most of the shows.

Always wonderful. I took my friend Nanette to see "No, No, Nanette" and we loved it. All seats have a great view. However, avoid the last rows as there's limited knee room. Reasonably priced for great entertainment.

Our recent visit to the theater was for A Christmas Carol. This was a great rendition of the story. This cozy little theater in the round continues to put on great shows and provide a high quality entertainment. We attend multiple times each year and have never been disappointed. It is a great destination with many restaurant options for dinner within a one block walk.

I cannot praise this theater enough! I have been to this theater multiple times and have always been impressed! They put on fantastic, clean, family-friendly shows and the prices are ABSOLUTELY worth the experience you get! The theater is cozy and intimate, and the actors and shows themselves are wonderful! Very friendly and helpful staff and there really isn't a bad seat in the house! I would absolutely recommend you see a show at this theater!

The Hale Theatre is great fun if you enjoy plays. I get season tickets and always am impressed with the performances. It is truly amazing what they can do with this theatre in the round. The prices also cannot be beat.

It couldn't have been better! The acting and vocals were superb as were the props! We also say The Little Mermaid there with our granddaughter. It couldn't have been better - even for adults!

For several years we have been attending performances at this in-the-round local theatre, but tapering off the last couple of years, due to repeated showings. Not any more! Last evening we attended "My Fair Lady", and would love to shout to everyone, "GO!". Their producer, director, actors, dancers and singers have brought this place to the absolute top of live theatre! The show was executed perfectly, the music outstanding, the pace excellent, scenery professional(seats are fairly comfy too!),,,.what more could you want? And all for $ 28 per person. Our guests were sad they couldn't be visiting here longer so they could attend more performances. We Chandler residents feel fortunate to have this in our "backyard".Note that you can look online for seating availability, but there is a minimal charge for purchasing online. Not so if you make reservations via phone. And get there early for decent parking. We just may go back and see this one again! Yes, it's THAT GOOD!

Always a highlight for us each month. We make it a point to go to one of their performances once a month. It is a local Theatre in the Round which means every seat is a good seat. My husband and I continue to be amazed and pleased with how much we enjoy these performances. We usually go with another couple, have dinner at one of the local eating places near by then head over for the performance. We find ourselves laughing and smiling through out these performances. The Hale Theatre has our highest recommendation.

We brought our 4 year old to see a Christmas carol this year and she loved it
I believe this will now become a tradition in our family to see a play here around Xmas time
This is a very entertaining way to get some holiday fun in and spend quality time out with the family
It was very well executed with lots of humor and excellent acting
There are no bad seats in the house that I can tell
There are concessions before it starts outside the theater in the lobby and they set up a stand to sell concessions right on the stage during intermission
We have been coming to this theater for many years and it never disappoints
We will return and highly recommend you give it a try too

The performances by all the cast was great. A very enjoyable evening. There are no bad seats in this theater.

This is one place you must visit and experience in Arizona. Our family considers it the best kept secret in our state. A very small theater with excellent performances. Because it is a theater in the round, there's not a bad seat in the house. Very quaint. Your family will love it!

If you want to see a excellent, professional production (either a play or musical) then attend virtually any of the Hale Theatre events! My wife and I have been season ticket holders for 4 years now and have not missed one show! We look forward to it every month and have dinner beforehand. Free parking in a small town setting and "not a bad seat in the house"!

We've gone to two different shows here at this hidden gem of a theatre. Both were nicely done - the small theater-in-the-round concept is great. It is worth experiencing.

Living someplace warm like Phoenix, it can be hard to feel like it's really Christmas. But, you will find your Christmas spirit at the Hale Centre Theater's production of A Christmas Carol. Since moving to Phoenix, the Hale has become our must-do for Christmas every year. Part of the Christmas magic is that it is such a small, intimate theater. You are looking the actors in the eye and they are singing right to you. The production quality, staging, effects and cast are on par with much bigger theaters. We have met people who like to move their seats around each year to get a different perspective on the show. Perhaps we'll try that, too, next year. We have been three years in a row, and the production get's tweaked and changed just enough every year to make it different and a little more engaging. Walking out into the fake snow after the performance, you're Christmas spirit will be awakened. The Hale is a real gem.

This is a Great local theater. The environment is fun to be in the seats are well spaced with decent leg room. We brought someone in a wheel chair to an event and Hale was very accommodating. Let's be real, this isn't Broadway or Gammage, but it's a family run venue that takes pride in what they show and the actors they showcase. The Christmas shows are classic and help you get into the seasonal spirit. The Hale picks comedies that will wash your daily cares away for a few hours. Worth the price of admission.

We took our moms ages 78,and 82 to two different shows in the same week. Anything goes and the Andrew Brothers. They were both fabulous. The theater is small and quaint, there is no bad seat. The area around the theater has many restaurants and bars. The only bad thing is they were all closed when we came out of the show. We were going to go to the ice cream shop, we were so disappointed.

This is a great theater in the round. Every seat is close to the stage and the actors are very professional. We will definitely go back again!
We just saw "A Christmas Carol." It was magnificent! Cory McCloskey was beyond believable extraordinary!!! The music was joyous. The setting was artistically spectacular. The special effects were so inspiring. "Tiny Time," was so adorable. The ghosts were scary and devilishly convincing. We loved the unexpected edgey additions that we could not have even dreamed to experience. Well Done! Thanks to all for doing this for us.
