Great place to grab some snacks for the kids and goodies to take home. We had a wonderful time there and will stop again.

The petting area is now going to be annual for my family. The animals are adorable and somewhat friendly. My sister did have a donkey bite her to where her finger became purple and an unruly pig bit my pinky but, other than that, 5 stars! I had heard they used to be free but now it only costs three dollars each for adults. I would highly suggest buying plenty of food for these animals because you cannot resist their adorable faces!!! However, the shop seemed very expensive and for the food, we had filled up on Das Dutch beforehand so we did not partake.

My son, husband, and I recently visited here and loved it! First, we went into the shop there with the tools, home decor, bird houses, toys, and other items. We enjoyed looking at these things and then, headed over to the produce and bakery area where they also had a variety of pumpkins and flowers for fall. My son bought a bag of the kettle corn to eat later that evening, and it was very good. We also bought a few baked goods there which we ate over the next few days, and these were great as well! We went to the petting area and saw the giant horse first. It is huge! Several small goats, ducks, and a small pig were walking around outside of the cages and looked so cute wandering around. We enjoyed petting the rabbits, goats, sheep, horses, cows, pigs, and other animals. A few people bought some food to give them as they have that for sale. We really enjoyed every part of our visit to Hershberger Farm and Bakery and definitely recommend going if you are in the area!

Great bakery and market. Lots of things to choose from. Baked goods, sweets, cider, veggies, fruit, etc. Fun store with lots of homemade and handmade items. We had lunch too...fresh cooked burgers and fries. They were also making fresh kettle chips. Yum! Animals were fun to look at and let.

By SharonB231 |

Best baked goods, jerky, jelly, bread, candy and snacks. Prices are reasonable. There is also an antique shop and leather goods. The petting zoo is fun for kids and be sure to feed the goats on the roof. They also offer carriage rides here. Highly recommend a stop here!

You cannot go wrong with any bakery item you purchase from here. The creme sticks are HUGE, the pies amazing, the bread is out of this world. We went the day before and placed an order as things sell out quickly and when we showed up at 9am we had warm cinnamon and wheat bread waiting for us and it stays fresh for so long. I do not believe the jellies and jams are made in house but they are still very good. The girls that work here are so sweet. It's a must stop every time we visit!

I have driven through Ohio Amish Country many times, but this was my first time stopping at Hershberger's. This place has a bit of everything. Petting zoo (and the biggest horse I have ever seen)? Check. Dry goods store with hand-crafted leather and other items? Check. Bakery also with various cheeses, meats, and other food items? Check. You want a cheeseburger? Check. They also have the best fry pies in the area. Hershberger's will be a regular stop for me from now on.

First time stopping at this place, and enjoyed seeing the live animals making the children grin with delight. They have a live horse merry-go-round for the children to enjoy, sheep, horses, Bulls and goats on display to pet if so inclined.

The produce store has many fresh items and a bakery with items everyone will enjoy. There are buggy rides and a large parking area. Too bad we've never stopped there prior to today.

By newyork145_9 |

Their selection of mums and pump was huge! We weren’t looking for baked goods, so we didn’t go into that section of the establishment. They do have a small food truck/trailer outside that sells burgers, fries, drinks, and desserts. When we saw the food sign, we were expecting more fresh options— to fried—since this is a farm market. Maybe fresh made sandwiches and salads and fruit.

By d0ntcc |

Do not go here if you like deserts, you will come out 15 pounds heavier. The people and the place is great and you will find everything

By twelvesilkroses |

Great place to buy baked good. They have verh good pies, cakes, pastries, bread, and more.

Only disappointment was that after building their new barn for the petting zoo they now charge you $3 to enter. I think children under 5 are free. Then you also have to pay for feed. A little ridiculous in my opinion.

By Reesa D |

We came here for lunch and high prices and long lines . We were hungry and decided to wait it out. We should have gone elsewhere

By SunNSea |

One of our favorite places to visit. The petting area is awesome. We have a season pass. Lots of great animals, particularly in spring when babies are born. Great food. Loved the wagon ride. The guy was so nice that took us around. We enjoy getting lunch at the snack trailer. My daughter bought a $20 stuffed animal here for $10. I see people complain about the prices, but they’re reasonable.

By spietka |

We found this place only about a year ago although we passed it a few times. We stopped on their "Customer Appreciation Day". Oh My !!!!! I wish we found it sooner. Food, desserts, jams and jelly, noodles, and so much more.

By Classic Country |

Loved all of the cool crafts and leather goods located in and around the main store. Loved the goats on the roof and the food there was good. Pumpkins were quite expensive I thought compared to smaller ma and pa shops and farms.
It kind of ruined the atmosphere when we found “made in China” stickers on the back of some items placed outside with the vintage looking items

By angelj0621 |

Everything about our visit was excellent...the friendly people, the unique shop, the bakery (oh the baked goods!!), and even the hot dogs being sold under a tent were awesome. The smell of the fresh made kettle corn is certain to make you drool! A must see if you're in the area!

By glammygaga |

Love this stop! Come from Pa at least 2 times a year! Food inside is their own freshly made jams, pickles, candy, nuts, etc. Fried pies are the best! Not all those chemicals like others. Fresh cheese and bakery! Who can resist. They have remodeled. Very nice improvement. Other building with Amish crafts leather goods, handmade toys, rugs etc. Barn with goats on the roof! Kids can pet and feed the animal’s. Wagon rides and food booths like ice cream and popcorn made on the fire; in Season. Summer it is piled high with fresh fruits and vegetables in season! Fun family stop!

By Lori M |

This is our fifth time of stopping at Hershburgers. It's a fun place to visit in the spring, summer and early fall. The petting zoo is nice, they offer pony, buggy and wagon rides. They have a little store that has some different things. The bakery is delicious. We love their meatsticks, bread and butter pickles and buckeyes. In the summer their produce is great. You don't need small children to stop by and get good food.

By Chadand Cassie D |

My wife and I came back to this place 3 times in our two day trip, we loved it that much. It's a great family atmosphere, tasty authentic Amish food and a bakery that is amazing. Try the Kettle corn as well, you can't stop eating it.

By Elizabeth P |

We visited to see the animals in the barn, and really enjoyed ourselves! No charge, which is nice, only a cost for the food to feed the animals. There are rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and more. The little piglets run around, which is adorable! Even The teenagers in our group enjoyed riding the horses for an extra $5. Wholesome Fun for a nice day!

By micromaid |

We went specifically for the fry pies which we enjoyed on previous visits, this time we checked out the store and found ourselves a few things!

By pghsteve |

October = many many people on Saturday! Pick your own pumpkins, all kinds of animals for children to pet: goats, lambs, cows, horses. Kids can safely ride very small or larger horses. Buggy rides for families. Belgian horse that is 6 ft 6 in to its withers and weighs 3000 lbs..quite a site and quite friendly.Plenty of food available with diversity in choice. Shops have many unusual and interesting gifts and toys for kids.
Especially if with children, worth the visit

By Jayjay099 |

We make this our MUST stop store when we visit this part of Ohio:) The bakery items are of good quality and they offer a wide variety compared to any other store we have seen. Look forward to this time of year when their HUGE baskets of flowers come in, absolutely beautiful and again fairly priced. So many other items in the store to look at that are good related:) Employees, always friendly:)

By Tim P |

Stopped by during our visit and picked up some donuts and fresh bread, it was very good. Lots of choices!

By 939shari12 |

Hershberger's is always a fun place to go for baked goods, animal petting, buggy riding, kettle corn, fresh fruits and vegetables, and we had a great hamburger while we were there.

By Kyla B |

Hershberger's is our favorite stop when visiting Holmes County, Ohio. The kids love the petting zoo. Some of the animals roam the petting zoo area and kids get such a kick out of seeing them up close and personal. The baby goats are adorable! The country store is filled with Amish made toys, leather items, and antiques. I suggest picking up a good quality broom, they last forever! The bakery is next door. Fresh vegetables, fruits, and wonderful baked good (fry pies are a MUST!). You could easily spend an hour or two at Hershbergers!

By Elizabeth C |

I love this place we go here every trip. From the bakery to the fresh home grown fruits and veges, I am in heaven. They also have animals for the kids to peet, buggy rides and food!!

By Dagma |

We stopped here solely to give our granddaughter something to do. She was so excited to see the goats on the roof. Entry fee was only $3 each. We bought some of the carrots to feed the animals (save a whole carrot to feed the giant Belgian horse). There were numerous animals walking around loose which thrilled our granddaughter. We got many photos of her hugging a goat, calf, llama, etc. She had so much fun and there is a huge variety of animals (chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, horses, etc. If you have kids, don't miss this.

By dsherley |

We really enjoyed our stop at this place. There were a lot of vendors selling different types of vegetables, popcorn and foods that they were making on site

This is a great Farmers Market with fresh local produce. There's a bakery inside also.

Lisa also enjoyed seeing all the farm animals. This is good for the whole family.

By musicgirl911 |

Butternut squash. Concord grapes. Roll of butter. And kettle corn outside - so much good food - just wish I had the room to purchase some mums as well. Great place to visit!

By 4Vacati0N |

We stop here about 3 or 4 times a year when we visit Amish Country. The produce is abundant and usually inexpensive. Fry pies are great and we always get a bag of kettle popped corn. This visit was no exception. The best time to visit is October for pumpkins.

By Ramona H |

This is my favorite place in Amish country! Between the petting zoo and the bakery you cannot go wrong! And of course we can't forget about Big Ben the Belgian horse. Great place for families but make sure you come early. They do sell out of bakery quickly and the crowds do flock here.

By lcommisso04 |

So. Much. Fun!!! The bakery was fantastic. The animals are cute as heck. Even the milk tastes better from here.

By Just a Guy Who Loves Food |

Bring the family! Lots to do. Lots to buy! You can spend a couple hours here!

Fry pies are soooo delicious!!

By Shelly B |

Love stopping in here when in town. We love to get a buggy ride with Abe. He is a wonderful man. Lots of baby animals on this trip that we could play with.

By Barb S |

I loved this place, my kids like all the animals. The produce was amazing as well at the baked goods. I would drive back again soon to stock up before winter. They had horseback riding or wagon rides , goats to feed a fun store and bakery. I'm glad we decided to stop and visit.

By JoAnn M |

We always try to make it to Hershberger Farm & Bakery to purchase some vegetables and fry pies. The animals are cute.

By Roxbail |

If you enjoy fall decor such as pumpkins than this place is for you. We drive up here each year because you can't beat the prices on the pumpkins, gourds, etc. Also baked goods and homemade ice cream excellent! Even as an adult always enjoy the animals.

By susantY7417RW |

The children can feed the goats - ride horses - ride a wagon - take a ride in a buggy - and mom can shop for farm fresh vegetables while dad picks out his fried pies - then they can all have a Harsh Burger

By Robert P |

We stopped here for an hour but we easily could have stayed all day. They have the most unusual delights to eat and drink, especially an incredible variety of wonderful cheeses and drinks. You could gain plenty of weight hanging around the bakery but I managed to get by with only one fried apple pie. That was my special treat of the day. Parking is plentiful, and dairy products were all around. You need more than an hour but that was all we had. I'd love to return someday.

By JBean'smom44 |

We LOVED this animal and real farm experience! You can get as up close and personal to the animals as you want. Great for families!

By Vicu |

Not as much activity compared to the other 3 seasons. No animals for the kids to see. Store still had ample food to buy.

By clevelandmojito2 |

Have been there many times. Good place to let kids burn off a little energy. Bakery is good. Kids can visit animals for free, just buy food if you want. Pony, horse and buggy rides available

By kellyskeys |

The display of different types pumpkins and potted flowers at this time of year makes Hershberger's a very inviting place to visit. And the prices for the flowers was reasonable especially considering the size of the plants. The gift buildings have changed and there is now a display of primitive antiques to purchase. There is still a large selection of rugs and local handmade baskets to purchase. The bakery building still has a large selection of baked goods, canned fruits and vegetables and other food items. Fresh popped kettle corn is sold outside of the bakery building. If you have children, the petting zoo area is fun to visit. There were many baby piglets and they quite fun to watch. There are cows and goats and sheep also for the kids to pet. That is the largest horse I have ever seen. Other activities are available such as a carriage ride. This is a great place to visit. We have been there many times and will go back.

By ClevelandBill |

The baked goods from Hershberger's were amazing - including the fry pies. We had Cherry, Blueberry, and Peach/Apricot. First time and wow ... those were great! Can't wait to drive by again!

By fred s |

Well staffed produce and bakery. Small café/picnic area. Buggy rides and animals to look at. Hand crafted items. All in one place.

By PAUL M |

No reservation needed. Lots of parking. If you like good food, friendly animals, birds, courteous staff and a most unusual place to spend a few hours--Hershberger Family Farm and Bakery is a MUST stop on your next visit to Holmes County, Ohio.

And your visit won't break the bank. Everything you buy has real value. You'll come away truly blessed. This farm and bakery on State Route 557 is about as authentic as any place you'll visit on your trip to Amish Country. You'll share with your friends about the memorable time at the FARM.

By Lisa H |

Such a FUN experience especially during the fall time! We happened to go during one of the "late nights" and were able to get FREE access to the petting farm and FREE horse/buggy rides to the pumpkin patch. The animals in the petting area were some of the BIGGEST I have ever seen. The kids had a blast feeding the animals with carrots. We spent a ton in the market and got lots of amazing treats. You can sample many of the items and it was very enjoyable! The food trucks were yummy too!

By Rhonda B |

Here you can feed the goats, pet the pigs and admire one of the biggest horses in the county. You can also buy all kinds of Amish type memorabilia and foods. Very interesting place to visit.

By Jen C |

by far the BEST cream sticks around! Fresh produce and goats on the roof of the barn! Many things to see and do with kids, and folks of all ages!

By 491bonnie |

I liked to stop here when the petting zoo was free. I usually buy something from the inside store. They do have some in season fruits and vegetables as well as lot of pumpkins outside. I will say I find most items , especially vegetables to be overpriced. I remember in years gone by the drive was made because of the better prices which for the most part no longer exists.

By RonH43026 |

A popular stop for area visitors. The farm market has decent quality produce at reasonable prices. Didn't try the gift shop or the entertainment offerings. Will shop here again if in the area.

By Pam B |

We visit hershberger farm several times a year , have always loved this place . That’s not case anymore . Getting very commercialized . Doesn’t seem
Family oriented anymore . One of my favorite things was
The petting zoo . Now
They charge $3
Per person . Way over priced !! Plus if they want to attract family , no reason they can not leave it free to family . It would pull people in to buy stuff . So disappointed !!

By Wesley Smith |

We were in town with some friends that showed us around the area. We stopped in and got some great food items to take home. We will be back later to see the petting zoo which I heard about.

By Kat S |

Great place to stop if traveling solo or with kids. Beautiful plants, fresh veggies, exceptional bakery, plenty of jarred goodies, candy, jerky. Take your time in the store. Gift shop. Kettle corn. Small burger stand on the side of building. Super cold drinks. Petting zoo, horses, goats, etc. Buggy rides. This place is worth it !!! Can get crowded. Go with time, stroll around and take all of it in. Watch out for bicycles and horse and buggy out on the highway.

By B138877 |

worth a visit. Lots of baked goods and snacks from the amish. Worth a look. Also can get some handmade goods .

By Abby G |

We love stopping at this place! Not only for the fresh produce and bakery items (the fry pies are our favorite), but also for the free petting barn. There are all sorts of baby animals, from chicks to goats. All the animals are friendly and enjoy being given attention. There are also animals that roam the barn. The mini pot bellied pigs love a good belly rub and will roll right over for you. Such a fun place

By Margaret H |

If you are looking for a place to just hang out and relax and at the same time allow your kids to have some down-home fun, then Hershberger's is for you! Although Hershberger's seems to be off the proverbial 'beaten path', its really not: close enough to Berlin, the heart of Ohio's Amish country, yet close enough to both Dover and Coshocton to not be a terribly long journey, you won't be disappointed to drive just a little farther. There are enough small and large animals to keep your kids interested, and there is food and crafts enough to make you happy, too. Hershberger's used to be the stall of Big Ben, a very large Belgian workhorse giant that could put any two other draft horses to shame- he is a real must-see so bring a camera. Plus, when your kids see the goats on the roof, it just makes the experience that much more fun. Very nice time- keep going southeast on 557 to Charm, Ohio, and get a great meal at either Charm Family Restaurant or Chalet in the Valley and your day is complete. Must see. Fall is a great time to go sans tourists, so plan a trip to Hershberger's and you will have a win-win day.

You cannot go wrong with this place!
A lovely farm store with antiques, kids wooden toys and farm signs.
A nice market with HUGE donuts, the biggest you've ever seen! Pies, frozen fruits, fresh veggies.

But the petting zoo is only $3 per person. I bet we were here over an hour. My kids kept making turns around the cages and thought they were new animals (same ones... they were just SO EXCITED!)
Pony and Horse rides for $4 and $5. They enjoyed it and it was a nice amount of time.
Can feed animals inside and take the nice trail outside too. For an ice cream cone of feed it's $1.
Reasonably priced for an amazing amount of fun!

By Cliff W |

Amazing fry pies and other baked goods. Wonderful shop next to it with a little bit of everything. Then there is the petting zoo. Lots of fun family friendly activities a must stop and see

By Ruth M |

The bakery offers many baked goods, pastries, many varieties of fry pies, and lots of ingredients to make goodies on your own. The adjoining store has lots of options for your home as well as gifts.

By Lauren W |

I'm a vegan and really enjoy coming here to see these beautiful animals. No zoos or farms are like Hershberger, as you can bond and interact with these gorgeous creatures. The food is great too! Everyone, including the amish, are so nice! This is a great place to go all the time!

By hconley20 |

So every year we travel to Amish Country and wind up here! Bring extra shoes if y'all plan on petting the animals. We spent a good half hour before cleaning the poo out of our shoes before getting back in the car! 😬 I recently got my braces off and knew the first purchase I was going to make here was TWO large bags of their fresh popped kettle corn! Forget anybody else's because this is the best! Also try their chocolate milk inside! It's to die for!

By clevekat |

Stopped here for bakery items, pumpkins and gourds. Bonus, they have goats! We were staying locally and needed something for breakfast. Lots of food items and hand made goods. Worth the stop

By HeidiMw7kids |

A great place to spend a half day. Lots of baby animals to pet & hold free of charge. Pay extra to feed the animals or for rides. Quaint store, bakery, consession stands, all in one stop. Out of our 6 children, 1 was afraid of the sheep so we had to hold her. None of the animals jumped up. All the animals seemed calm & quite tame. We spent $5 for 6 cones of food & then bought homemade ice cream, popcorn, & a few delicious baked goods. A lot of fun for a family on a budget!

By Fred S |

Our grandchildren had a ball here. They have a terrific petting zoo, and the kids had an absolutely fantastic time petting and feeding the animals.

By Nicole W |

We really enjoyed stopping at this farm where you can pet the animals for free. Feed is a little extra and the animals and workers there are very friendly. We took a ride in the buggy with Abe who told us about the farm and was a great tour guide. We even saw a bald eagle on the property which was a very special sight. Great produce and a fun souvenir shop. My kids 7, 9, and 12 had a terrific time!

By AfternoonBooks |

Where to begin. Petting Zoo, great Amish crafts, buggies rides, fresh kettle corn, homemade ice cream, burgers, onion rings, bulk food, excellent bakery, fresh produce and more. Living here, I shop here regularly.

By ARodriguezP |

This was our last stop before leaving Ohio's Amish Country and we were amazed by the selection of all sorts of goodies they had on offer! Jams, jellies and pickled foods galore and so much more!
And of course we picked up some things to take home with us,some for gifts and some for us to enjoy ourselves,I found everything to be reasonably priced. Then we got to the baked goods section and this is where self control became most difficult, breads, sweet rolls and doughnuts all seemed fresh,in fact many of the packaged breads were still warm from the oven! We gave in and took home some delicious doughnuts with us too, there goes my diet I thought but then again keeping to a diet during vacation is never easy, and probably shouldn't even be attempted! They had some cider as well, and we took an apple cider slush to enjoy on the road and it was so sweet and refreshing, bursting with apple flavor! Do yourself a favor and make this a stop while in Ohio's Amish Country but beware if your on a diet, resistance will be futile!

By Jim M |

The place has something for everyone; petting zoo, market, bakery and general store. If you have small children, I would suggest you stop here for the petting zoo and seeing the large horses. It was interesting, but since we don't have small children, it is unlikely we will go back.

By Millie G |

Family run very friendly. The animal atmosphere was funny... goats were our favorite. Close to other attractions. They have carriage rides as well.

By cdenneyoh |

They have a wide selection of baked goods. Everything was freshly made and delicious. The prices were good, too!

By elaine c |

We stopped in here while visiting Millersburg for a few days. We made a return visit it was so good. It was a chilly day so we just went into the store an shopped. We tried the hand pies (so good that's why we returned the day we were leaving) an they were fresh and delicious. The whoopie pies were awesome. The donuts good. Got noodles an other items in that area. The cashew crunch was good too. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will definitely be back when in the area.

By Layrow |

Every time we come to Ohio we have to stop here and get fried pies and chocolate covered turtles. The petting zoo is amazing. My daughter likes to feed the goats that are on the roof. I suggest if you are ever in the area you need to stop here.

By Keith S |

We took our grandkids here for a fun and cheap afternoon outing. Lots of farm animals to pet and feed for a reasonable price. And big ben, the largest horse in the county, is cool to see. The gift shop is reasonable for prices and the bakery is also in the same area. There is a food stand on the grounds if you want a quick lunch.

By Sandy G |

Our grandkids love the petting zoo and feeding the animals. they have raised their prices to get in and for the very small cone of food to feed the animals.
The bakery is wonderful!...great donuts, pies and candies.
The hard goods store id reasonably priced.

By David G |

When your in Ohio Amish country you must make Hershberger's Farm & Bakery part of your stay. The bakery store is filled with the aroma of frsh baked goods along with the wonderful assortment of fresh fruits & veggies. In the fall there are literally "tons" of beautiful squash & pumpkins everywhere. Also don't miss the leather goods (belts, handbags, phone case, money clips) along with many other Amish made gift ideas. You will be made welcome and feel refreshed.

Great local place to stop for baked goods and produce! Also have lots of other items, food stand, petting zoo, etc. Something for the whole family.

By Kathie A |

We wished we could have spent more time here. So much to see and do. We went to buy the fry pies and we were not disappointed. They are delicious. We also bought some pumpkin whoopie pies. OMG! The toy shop and decor shop had lots of great merchandise. Didn't get to the petting zoo. My husband said we need to back soon since it is so close to us.

By MohrFam |

One of the locals told my husband and I about this place. He recommended it for breakfast. The food was great and everyone was so welcoming.

By BurgerGus |

Small petting zoo of farm animals. Goats hang out on the roof of the barn. You can buy cones full of feed and send it up a conveyor belt to the goats. They have a huge Belgian work horse (about 3000 pounds), several cows, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, etc. There was one sheep that was letting little goats stand on her. The little goats and pigs will follow you around (wanting food of course). The bakery had some delicious items. The fried pies and whoopie pies were great. Great place to stop.

By berni |

They have fresh baked items that are delicious. It is my favorite. They sell day old items for half price which are still delicious. They have beautiful plants and fresh fruits and the jams are fantastic and cheaper than other places

By bettimae89 |

got corn and peaches....just great
wide assortment of bakery, jelilies, etc
also a farm (petting) for the kids....great stop

By Beth H |

This place has a variety of things to do and see. The food side is great. The craft store has some really cute items.

By Mary B |

A fun stop. Worth stopping just to see the horse, Big Ben! The bakery was amazing. And we loved watching them make the yummy popcorn. Animals, rides... it was greaT!

By Alicia Z |

This is a great place for produce and delicious baked goods. I saw families truly enjoying the bugy rides and petting zoo. However, I was shocked that employees were not wearing masks and how many people were not wearing masks. I guess since people think they are outside they didn't have to wear masks...but when a place is packed and hard to be six feet away...you should be responsible and wear a mask. We didn't stay due to this..only ran into get produce while wearing our masks!

By Morgan |

I’m 23 yo and I told myself I didn’t need to do the petting zoo. I caved in and did it because it looked like a lot of fun. It was $3-5 to get in and additional $3-4 for carrots or other food to feed the animals. Well worth the money. They had several different animals to see. They had lost of baby animals too. I had a lot of fun in the petting zoo and I’d definitely go again!!

By Linda Foster |

Piles and piles of pumpkins, apples and Amish treats to purchase. Goats on the barn roof and carriage rides for families. How quaint and carefree. The only negative was that the place was so crowded, parking was a challenge.

By Dawn R |

We Loved the fry pies and the peanut butter cream sticks! Being able to shop for fresh baked goods, jelly's and jam's, and fresh produce is my kind of shopping.

By M E |

Every trip to Ohio we stop by Hershberger Farm and Bakery. We have met and spoken with Mr Hershberger (who started it all), and enjoy sharing the delight with friends and family. For us, it is a must stop. We will drive out of our way just to stop by. Their produce is larger than life, their baked goods, cheeses, and trail bologna are delightful. Be sure to purchase a bag of kettle corn and stop by the food truck for the favored hot swiss and trail bologna sandwich. Enjoy the grills, and other metal, leather, and wood work-- a delight to purchase. Be sure to visit the newly enlarged petting area -- $3.00 per person to visit, and purchase your carrot chips for the animals $1.00 per container -- we have learned the animals are more interested in you, when you bring food. You can ride a draft horse for $5.00 (and yes, you climb up portable steps to reach the saddle) and there is an option for the little ones to ride a pony or a standard size horse too. My niece and I rode the draft horses and it was fun being that tall (the rafters seemed so near!). There are also carriage rides too! Come, bring cash (although some areas do take credit cards, it's best to have cash just in case!), and experience Hershberger Farm and Bakery for yourself. Careful...it will become your new favorite place too!

By Jordan |

This is such a neat little place. I live local and like to stop for fresh produce and delicious baked goods. Everything is always fresh and tastes delicious!

They also have a food truck beside the building that has fantastic food and homemade ice cream!!

Really nice place!

By Allisonspring |

Fun to see baby animals. Goats that were on the roof was very interesting. Kids loved playing with the animals. I do hope they are treated well. I think they are. Staff were walking around and were very nice. Clean. Huge Draft Horses. Beautiful hanging baskets.

By PaulRussi |

What an experience! It’s a dive into the beloved Amish community. The food is fresh and wholesome. The interaction with farm animals is so precious. Not only can you feed and pet numerous animals of various species, but you can ride horses and buggies. Just seeing the Amish traveling in their buggies on the road and seeing them work their farms (being exposed to their culture) was captivating. Seeing the surrounding countryside was spellbinding. So beautiful! Highly recommend. A+

By Michelle G |

Perhaps my grandma and mom set the bar too high for me (even with using Pillsbury crust), but the pies from Hershberger are NOT worth buying. I am not sure they even use fruit; each one had a bizarre consistency of 'fruit' that simply does not taste good. We threw a whole one away after tasting a sampling. In fact, I would say Costco makes a better pie.

I would give their jams the same rating; if you are from Columbus, drive to Earth Fare and spend your cash on Sarabeth's jam - now that stuff is worth the price!

We did take home some beef jerky & honey, which was alright, but nothing I couldn't find locally. Seeing popcorn made from scratch was neat and their apples were a good price, but again, I would suggest using your time differently.

I want to say that I always love coming to this area. We’ve been here many times before. So we went over to their store and we have a service dog and I even have his license in my wallet and we tried to go in and the owner came up to us, screaming at us, saying you can’t go in there he’s yelling at us. He finally kicked my husband out of the store with the dog. I went out after I looked around and I said to him what you did is not right it is illegal for you to do that. He came up to my face. I swear he thought he was gonna hit me. He starts screaming in my face get off my property. I will never shop there again and beware if you get the guy mad you’re in for it.

We stopped here for the doughnuts and enjoyed seeing the draft horses bringing pumpkins in from the fields and the goats on the barn roof! Lots of fall produce. A huge selection of Pumpkins & gourds at reasonable prices ($4.95/ea), plus lots of fresh produce. The aroma of apples is wonderful walking into the market! There is also lots of antiques and handmade items. Well worth a stop! And the donuts were great too!

By NH H |

Good bakery items and custom metal signs, goats to feed and fresh amish produce. The kids love Big Ben the huge work horse.

By Dennis H |

We have visited here many times because of the farm animal exhibit and the produce especially in the fall.

By Phactor924 |

Stopped to pick up stuff for the family. The bakery was amazing - cinnamon buns and buckeyes were the stars. Outside the food truck only hamburgers and fries. Would be great to have sandwich counter or something similar. The food we got lasted our visit. I will for sure be back.

By tcsam |

This place is great. Their bakery is awesome. Fried pies, breads, frozen unbaked pies. Take one home and bake it up fresh.

By Theresa M H |

We cannot go visit the Holmes Cty Amish with out stopping here we have made friends with Abe Miller one of the buggy drivers there and he is always a warm welcome and great to visit him when we are there .. If you ever stop by here please take a buggy ride with Abe he is always ready to teach about his culture ….

By Shirley SergentExtraordinary572225 |

over night is suggested. too much to do in a day. most stores close at 5 pm.
eating places stay open longer. the Amish buffets are awesome.. lots of great place to shop. Hershberger farm is a must. lots of things to do there. buggy rides, food,
fry pies and at this time of years lots of pumpkins and fall flowers. lot of animals you can see and feed if you want to.

lots of awesome cheese places and flea markets' bulk food stores have everything. there a lot of Amish homes and schools you can visit too.

By pambright123 |

We always stop at Hershbergers to get baked bread and pastries before we leave for home. Makes the drive much easier when you have a creamstick! Love this place.

By Evelyn E |

We always stop here on our way out of Amish Country in Ohio for fresh bake goods, and in the summer fresh produce.

By JulieJacknG |

Went here for petting zoo and no open. My daughter was so disappointed. Market is small and not worth the drive

By tonyak754 |

Neat place for a buggy ride around the property (15 minutes), pony ride (on a tethered carousel), and petting zoo - all inexpensive - as well as shopping for handmade leather goods or grabbing a quick bite to eat. Try the pumpkin ice cream - YUM!

By Ioana Debbie G |

We went twice this year to the farm. Staying at the Berlin Resort, this is very close to the hotel. Our 2 yrs old loves it here....we love it too! If you like animals, horse rides, carriage rides, it's for you! She enjoyed the petting zoo, feeding the animals, going with the ponies & riding the big draft horse with her mommy on the double saddle! We enjoyed the Amish carriage rides, & admiring all the draft horses, especially the biggest Belgian horse Big Ben! They have a cute store with Amish made toys & products. Then there is the bakery store with great tasty goods....we loved eating the homemade sandwiches & ice cream! Great time & we will def go back every year!

By BeccaJ57 |

We go to Hershbergers for their variety of fry pies, fresh vegs & antique shopping. The main bldg has been remodeled since our last visit. Not only do they sell baked goods, they also carry cheese, bologna, canned foods & bulk foods such as nuts, dried fruit, snack mixes, etc. Outside there's a sandwich shop, ice cream shop & you always smell a fresh batch of just popped kettle corn.

By carolet979 |

Delicious fruits, baked goods, pastries and produce and so much more... a must see, highly recommend!

By carolinabonny |

Loved visiting. Saw them making kettle popcorn in a real kettle pop. Pumpkins everywhere and apples and other fresh produce. Lovely gift shop and wonderful bakery. Be sure and trip pumpkin and cream whip pie pies!

By Venture50518486721 |

To die for baked goods and other farm market products available. A must stop if for nothing else than the homemade ice cream.

By 3ess |

Gift shop in one building, and baked goods in another. Bakery products can be ordered to take home as well as purchased on the spot. There is a petting zoo if there are young ones.

By LoveTheDunes |

What a great place to visit! First thing we did was feed the goats on the roof with the feed cone cone, hand operated conveyor. Lots of laughs for the dollar it cost for a feed cone! Gotta love the great prices on garden items, veggies, bakery and more. Just a great place and I'd give it 10 stars if I could!! Enjoy!

By plumbpal |

They had a tremendous selection of antiques and collectibles
Also new items that were very ell made.We will visit again

By T K |

Delicious as usual.. make the trip every year. The fry pie selection and homemade breads are wonderful.

By Michele B |

This place doesn't really need my review - it's clearly a success by the number of people that were visiting today! However, I had to say something about this fun little stop! This place had a lot going on - from goats on the roof, household gifts, yummy baked goods, and a free petting zoo - there were so many choices! I would plan on spending some time to soak it all in...we visited all the buildings, and even opted to take a buggy ride. Our guide was a young girl who shared little tidbits of information about the area. She was a lot of fun, and Dallas (the horse) behaved beautifully! FYI - there is a tip jar inside the buggy. :) The free petting zoo was wonderful - and my granddaughter loved it! They had all sorts of animals - little pigs, calves, goats, large horses...and a very large steer! The baked goods building had wonderful items inside that I just couldn't pass up! They do accept credit cards with a minimum $10 purchase. Everyone was very nice...and it was definitely worth the stop!

By Susyn L |

Got the best puppy ever.
Our havapoo is over a year old now & she is healthy & so happy.
They did an amazing job socializing her and is an incredible addition to the family.

By CLTLRT |

Not your typical tourist stop off where grab and go.
Plenty of mums and such fall plates that looked twice as as Walmart yet cost was 1/2!!! Fresh made food with a good variety. Animal area ... You can even send a ice cream cone full of grain to goats on the roof :) they were super cute and pure joy for the little ones.
Breads and such was totally awesome !
Jam / butters maybe a touch high but it's ok.
Would stop again

By Ks-traveler180 |

This place was very busy for a Monday morning, obviously people enjoy shopping here. We ate upstairs at the cafe. We enjoyed our sandwiches with the local ring bologna and turkey with bacon.

By marginy |

Great place to take kids! They have a large petting zoo area. The store has local made foods, bulk food, meats and cheeses and baked goods. Outside they are making kettle corn and have plants and veggies. Look for the goats on the roof!!

By Anne C |

This place is terrible!!! I recently bought a puppy here and the dog had complications from the start! He ended up dying of parvo 5 days after I bought him and they didn't do anything to help!! They wouldn't even refund my money after. This is the definition of a puppy mill. BEWARE!!!

By Elaine W |

Take the opportunity to go! Great destination for family day trips! Fall decorations were plentiful and reasonably priced. I also picked up some fresh vegetables. My hubby picked up one of the locally-made steel fireplace swing grates for our for pit, also. Great prices on uniquely-made wooden furniture for children, birdhouses, and more!

By 764martyp |

Went to this place to walk around. We bought a buggy full of items. Fresh vegetables and bakery items. Almost every type of canned goods you could think of. Candy. All fresh made. Had area where families could pet animals and take a horse and buggy ride. Small food truck with pretty good quick items to cook. Kettle popcorn. We wished we lived in this area, we would shop there every week.

By Jboblick |

One of the great places here to get fresh veggies at a great price. Excellent for the budget minded while providing superior products to what one may find in a grocery store

By Kristin L |

I love coming to Hershberger’s. Prices on bird feeders, bird food, and produce are amazing. The donuts are stellar and far better than one of the local Amish chains. I also have to recommend the kettle corn. Just go ahead and get the large bag. It’s buttery and sweet and just slightly salty. The petting zoo looks like a lot of fun. You can purchase food to feed the animals. The goats are hilarious to watch. There is an outdoor eating area with counter service. Inside they always have frozen cider on hand. My only criticism is that the people working there are not very friendly. This seems to be consistent, but since you won’t need to deal with the employees much it really doesn’t affect my rating. Hershberger’s has something for everyone and should be a stop on everyone’s Amish country itinerary!

By valliam13 |

I love animals so I loved the petting zoo even as an adult. It was so fun to see all the baby animals of different kinds. It was a lot of fun. The goats kept trying to eat my wedding rings! I was feeling bad for some of the animals being in small areas but they do let them out at the end of visiting hours so it’s definitely a temporary spot for them. Then we went in and shopped and I picked up some local made home goods. Great time here! Probably give yourself a couple hours. We ate elsewhere but there were things there to tempt you for food. If I wasn’t so full I would have likely gotten some ice cream.

By LoriAndDoyle |

We've been here several times and always enjoy going to the petting zoo. This time we had a surprise awaiting for us -- they are now charging you to look at and pet their animals. We paid, but next time we'll avoid the petting zoo and just go to the bakery.

By Linda S |

Their pies are delicious. Fresh veggies are always fresh. They sell the best gravy mixes. Petting area is fun and clean

By Baybug2 |

We have heard many great things about the bakery. We tried caramel, buckeye, cider donut, peanut butter cookies, and pecan turtles. The only good thing we liked was the Buckeye. Soooooo this is an honest review u have to decide.

By Jeannie R |

We made a detour through Amish country on our way from Cleveland to Hocking Hills. We took the kids on a buggy ride and Abe was the nicest while explaining the farm to the kids. The kids LOVED the petting zoo and had a ball feeding the baby goats. Before we left we stocked up on cider, snacks, beef sticks, pumpkins and THE BEST fry pies for the rest of our weekend. Everything was amazing, and reasonably priced. If you're in the area, it's a must stop!

By Connie V |

Love the bakery. Great donuts and pies. You can buy ready made pies or pies to cook at home. Also have great jellies and jams.

By Lorie Hanlon |

We stopped at Hershberger's for the first time so I (an adult) could get up close to a large Belgian horse. Loved looking at him and the baby goats as well as the other draft horses and animals.

We then purchased some delicious bakery items, cantaloupe, beef sticks and cheese to take along as we traveled thru the day across 30 highway from Millersburg to Sugar Creek checking out other Amish stores.

By Adriana P |

We loved the petting farm; it had a great variety of animals of all sizes, even featuring a gigantic horse which was great to see.
The kids got to pet all the animals and even carried some of them around. For a petting zoo, it was very clean and didn't have a strong smell. Lots of sanitizing stations around. They sell food and it was fun to feed the animals.
The store and market weren't that great, but most people go there for the petting zoo and farm so the place does the trick.

By GoBucks |

We enjoy their cookies and apple butter. Fresh baked goods that are sometimes still warm from the oven in the packages. We try to stop whenever in the area.

By Ckjbamorris |

When we landed in this part of Ohio we didn’t know we were in Amish country. We were just passing through on our Hall of Fame tour. It didn’t take long to figure out we were deep in the heart of Amish land. We decided to take in a few sites before heading off to our next destination and we are thrilled we did! Hershberger Farm and Bakery is AWESOME! We loved the general store where we bought authentic leather goods. My youngest son and I had fun feeding the goats, and we all LOVED the farm store. We bought fry pies ( DELICIOUS), homemade jelly, fresh bacon, eggs, and LOTS of other stuff. Absolutely loved this stop!

By Pepsi38 |

Such a relaxing farm to stop and take a break from traveling around this area of NE Ohio. We enjoyed all this place had to offer - from the farm animals to the country store. Bought homemade kettle which was delicious -- watched it being made in a kettle over a wood fire. Also had delicious home-made ice-cream. A fun place for all ages.

By Chuck |

We really enjoyed our time at the Hershberger Farm. There was a lot to see and they also have some great things to eat and some really fun shopping too.

By Todd W |

Stopped here to get some baked goods!
Wow wow wow there small pies are out of this world!
We got a apple and a strawberry rhubarb! BERY GOOD
The store is fun to walk around looking at the old tools in a back room!

By radbuckeye |

Decided to stay a night in Berlin Amish country on the way back from Niagara Falls, ON and spent most of our time at this farm. Visiting in-laws from Arkansas, as well as us, were amazed at all the things to do and see here! 9yo daughter loved the petting zoo and horse ride. Definitely arrive early if schedule allows, we arrived at opening and enjoyed some quiet shopping and walking around before the crowds.

By Naghi_Salma |

We went past this farm while in route to the Guggisberg Amish Country Horse Stables, and it was like finding a gem. Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff is very welcoming and professional. We live in Michigan but we purchased as much produce and bakery items as we could that can sustain the trip.

By JRSTravel |

Huge country store, all kinds of fresh produce (in Aug anyway), separate crafts store, animal petting zoo, buggy rides, an outdoor burger stand. Just a nice family stop. Parking lot is small, can get kind of chaotic.

By DeniseWayne |

Lovely farm with quite the bakery. All sorts of baked goods to pick from. Unfortunately they were taking the animals away for the winter so we couldn't go into the petting farm.

By Kenneth H |

We had a tasty warm loaf of bread before Abe took us on a carriage ride. He even let an excited three year old drive. Then we got to feed carrots to a menagerie of animals but the parakeets roosting on my head was the best.

By TraxNC |

SO many in-house/farm-made items ...
We came across this store on the backroads near Millersburg OH ... what a GEM ... next time we'll we bring a cooler to transport food home.

By sdarst0429 |

This is the most fun place to go. You can take your family or just friends and have a great time. Petting zoo lots of horses. Lot of different activities. Plus all kinds of things you can buy. Great food selection. I can't say enough good things about this place.

By sewgram3 |

this is the perfect bakery and produce market, jams jellies anything you could want or need. in the fall months there is all kinds of thing to do and see for children and adults

By Carole L |

Nice place to visit and see. I preferred the atmosphere at the Guggisburg Cheese Factory. Still a good place to see.

By shirlontheriver |

Fresh baked goods are so good. And, there is so much more - jams, jellies, salsa, candies, fresh produce - too many to name. And of course, you can't leave without buying some fresh made kettle corn!

By Angelize1999 |

Oh my! You need to stop here! So many different baked goods, jams, things to try! The store is wonderful to wander through. We paid for the petting zoo and spent over an hour feeding the animals. So many babies! My 13 year old has a blast with the animals.

By PLB50402 |

Hershberger's is a great place to visit. They have great baked goods and other food items, including fresh in-season produce. They also have a lot of outdoor furniture and decorative things. It's great for kids with a lot of animals to pet and look at. And you have to love the goats on the roof!

By Janice M |

We are always looking for new places to stop when in Amish country and this stop was a gem! We spent 3 hours here just relaxing and checking everything out. Not your typical bakery....it has baked goods, produce, a food and ice cream stand, a petting zoo, buggy rides, and a wonderful leather and antique type store. Definitely something for everyone. A must stop if in the area!

By Lisa M |

Wonderful place and wonderful people and goods! Was very pleased to find this place and will definitely return with the grand kids!

By Walklady |

Stopped here during our ride through the Amish farmlands. A very touristy place, mainly filled with cheap trinkets…. No authentic Amish stuff. The bakery however was filled with many sweet treats, and fresh homegrown produce.

By MeMeJoann |

Love this stop! It’s a must every time we visit the Ohio Amish. Great local crafts, market and food! Farm land all around. Always busy, too, which is a good sign of a popular place!

By Vince G |

You can find a lot of stuff here. First, we ate hamburgers to start our visit. They were very flavorful and cost $5 each. We live in a farm, so we didn’t do the petting zoo, but from the outside, we could see a very good assortment of animals. People feeding the goats on the roof was interesting. Yes, goats on the roof. We went through the crafts building where we found a huge variety of things. I will say that 12 years ago, I purchased an amish made belt here and, after wearing it daily, it is still like new. Then, we went to the bakery. I love bakeries. You can find most anything here. I am particularly fond of the fried pies, but there is a huge assortment. Plus there are fruits and vegetables for sale here. If you are in the area, go. There is no entry fee. Oh, yeah, they have buggy rides there.

By Checkmate75 |

I really enjoyed the antique shop but the bakery is something special. They have a great selection of baked goods and lots of fresh produce too. This place was packed before noon on a Saturday so I'm not the only one that was looking for a sticky bun.

If you buy nothing else buy the sticky buns with the pecans. Amazing.

By Terri V |

This place is amazing, such family fun with the animals, wagon rides, everything! We make sure we stop here whenever we are in the area.

By BudgetTravelerMR2 |

We first hit the bakery and bought some the best donuts ever. Then we shopped in the antique and gift shop followed by the petting farm barns. What fun feeding all the goats, pigs and alpacas and sheep in the back barn. We had a wonderful time there and came away with some of the best donuts in the world.

By Rachel D |

Hershberger's is the best! We stop every time we come this direction. Farm fresh and beautiful. Staff is very helpful and welcoming.

By Buttercup50 |

We were visiting the area and brought our 13 year old granddaughter here. I didn’t really expect it to entertain her as much as it did but she loved riding the horse and visiting the petting zoo. She spent an hour with the baby ducklings and enjoyed the other animals as well. There are three food trucks serving sandwiches, popcorn or ice cream and an amazing market. Worth a stop.

By MountainPCP |

The petting zoo is simple and without frills or flu-fou. But it is interesting and fun. Nice variety of small (goats, sheep, etc.), mid sized (cattle) and huge (horses) barn/farm animals. All are clean and there are no offensive odors. We four adults who had lots of real farm experience in our youth really enjoyed outselves.
The bakery has a huge selection of breads and desserts. Have only tried the cherry pie so far but it is delicious.

By Teresa |

What a fun time we had at the Farm and Bakery also 😍. All the animals were so fun to interact with !!! Horses, goats, pigs, piglets, cows, llamas, chickens❤
Delicious home made turtles and a cute handmade clutch!!!

By KickIt07012011 |

This place gets busy because it's pretty cool to visit. Pet the animals, no fee. You can buy food to feed them if you'd like. If you're unstable on your feet, people with canes or walkers be aware the goats will jump up on you especially if you have food. Inside the store it has expanded to make more room to get around. Fry pies, fresh bread, whoopie pies, jams & jellies, pickles, cheese, vegetables and fruits... mmmm! Make sure you have cash or check. No debit/credit cards.

My husband and I take an annual road trip to Amish Country in Holmes County, Ohio. We usually go to Berlin, but this time we wanted to go to an area less commercialized.

I've read reviews on Trip Advisor and Hershberger Farm & Bakery in Millersburg was one stop we wanted to make. Little did we know that it would be the highlight of our visit to Millersburg.

When we first arrived, we had lunch prepared by an Amish girl. I had a burger and my husband had a chicken sandwich which were grilled to perfection. The buns were fresh and most probably baked at their bakery, but I do not know that for sure.

My husband went next door to the kettle corn area and he got a large, fresh bag of kettle corn. Our next stop was the adjacent shop which featured too many items to list including Amish built lawn furniture. Amish buggy rides are offered which are fun to even watch.

Our last stop was the animal farm. Goats were running around the roof top of the barn and I soon knew why. Visitors can purchase a cone of animal feed and place it on a pulley that goes to the top of the roof and the goats go bananas over trying to get the cone.

Inside the barn are farm animals to pet, and pony and horse rides. The main attraction of the farm is Hershey's King Buck which is a huge, five year old horse weighing 2,800 lbs. He also loves the cones with feed and devours the cone within seconds!

When visiting Holmes County, be sure to visit Hershberger Farm & Bakery. Great stop for the young and old, alike!

By danamc01 |

The bakery was nice. They had lots of choices. Not only bakery items but pickles etc. Lots of nice produce as well. The farm store was ok. They also had a petting zoo and horse rides. Overall a good stop in the area.

By ILovetoTravelX2 |

Stopped to pick up fresh fruit & veggies, was pleasantly surprised they had so much more. One building had baked goods, breads, cheeses. Another hand made birdhouses & small furniture, a small 'antique' area & leather items with belts that they would punch the holes into for a 'custom' fit. They even had food if you go & need to get something small to eat.
There was an area with animals for kids, but we did not go over to that part.
Worth the little extra drive.

By Ami S |

Wonderful bakery with delicious baked goods. Also sells cheese and meat products. Fresh vegetables and fruit plus frozen pies and goodies. Gift shop and petting area for kids! My grandkids had a blast with all the farm animals

By HappyChippy |

Daughter lives in the area, and we frequently attend the livestock sales. This place is always top of our list to stop and visit. Great food at the outside lunch area, wonderful petting farm, and love the produce and bakery.

By Laura Y |

Wonderful place for baked items, produce and jellies/jams. The "fry" pies as they call them were outstanding! Bread, rolls, all kinds of baked items - all were good! The produce was amazing.

By genefout |

Beautiful hanging baskets and wonderful baked items. Also have buggy rides and a petting barn for children. We stop here on all our visits to Holmes Co.

By Laurie M |

We loved the petting zoo and the trip to the pumpkin patch. The employees are extremely helpful and very polite. Fry Pies are excellent .

By John S |

Contrary to what a review just stated, I found this to be a very affordable and fun place. The pricing on their flowers and bakery I found to be very reasonable when I evaluated the quality of the products. We did buy a hanging flower basket and would have bought more but I didn't have any room in my car to get the back to Findlay. We didn't do the petting zoo but it is $3. I think that is a steal. It is not cheap to care for and feed the animals. Paying $3 and paying for the food to feed them doesn't seem that bad to me. It is a chance to get close to the animals especially if you are with young children. The beauty is if the $3 plus the cost of food to see the animals and pet them blows your budget, then you don't have to do it. We enjoyed it and will go back.

By Terry C |

We had a great afternoon at this farm and bakery! Grandson rode the ponies and enjoyed the petting zoo! Food was delicious! Want to go back for more ice cream!

By Debbie Y |

Dont buy there creamstick they are 1.60 apiece and theres no filling in them.

used to love buying them

By jessicaclymer |

We went here with the kids and rode in a buddy with the Amish man. We also went to the petting zoo. We were able to feed all the animals too. They have lots of great food also. You should absolutely stop here if you are in town

By Karol P |

Read the reviews before our vacation so I made a trip by to visit wasn't impressed by the store baked goods prices were a lot higher than in walnut creek and Berlin. I noticed that the baked goods were package while they were still warm which left a lot of moisture in the bags. Didn't want to purchase in fear that the product would be wet from the moisture. Don't think I will revisit on my next visit.

By Jayjay099 |

We live in Atlanta Georgia, when we come back home at least twice a year, this is a must STOP:) The service, quality and value can't be touched in this whole area:) So many items to pick from:) Perfectionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

By amichip |

Wonderful place. Most incredible produce I have ever seen. All of it is huge. A lot of very interesting items. Things you don't see anyplace else. Even if you don't buy anything it is a great place to just browse.

By Stardust86 |

You could easily spend half a day here, especially if you have kids with you.

The area consists of two stores – one is the bakery/grocery store, selling baked goods, produce, bulk candy and baking items – just lots of items that look very fresh and like they are made on-site. We picked up some corn and some fruit – all good – and then also a pack of cinnamon buns. They looked lovely in the package, but honestly we didn’t really enjoy them, a bit dry and the frosting wasn’t like a soft cream cheese as expected – it was too hard and too sweet.

The other store I believe is more souvenir type items and home décor. We didn’t actually pop in there, ran out of time. But it looked interesting.

Our favorite attraction here was the petting farm. We had to have spent at least an hour feeding the animals. It costs $6 per person to enter, and then it’s an extra few bucks for carrots to feed the animals. They’ve got all kinds of friendly farm animals – horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, etc. The baby goats wandering between the pens were the star animals, an absolute delight to pet and feed. They were so cute. Even if you frequent petting farms (we do), having the baby goats just roaming freely was a neat experience. There is also an aviary where you can feed some parrots.

On top of all that, they offer pony rides and rides on traditional horse-drawn Amish buggies. We did the buggy ride, $9 a person. It was short, but still worth doing, just because its kind of a unique experience. The 2 4-year olds in our group loved it.

By David L |

Being a person that loves to eat this was one stop I really enjoyed. Letting my eyes get bigger than my stomach, I left with a huge variety of cookies, candies, and jams to be enjoyed at a later time.

By patricia v |

There is a large variety of farm fresh produce available. Apple cider, cheeses, beef jerky and a bakery with delicious pastries is inside. The prices are reasonable too.

By ARTHURGMI |

This was our first visit here, and the next time we’re in the area will definitely be back. Very reasonable prices. Everything we tried was awesome, the bread, fry pies and the donuts. We had to stop in again before we left town. Probably good I don’t live nearby, I’d weigh a ton.

By Linda H |

Great spot for children of all ages. Make sure to visit their bakery and bulk food section. Their TURTLES are delicious, and don't leave before buying a fry pie or two!

By Tinna R |

We didn't get a chance to go into the shopping areas, it was so busy. Remember this is a farm so don't expect not to smell the animals and it's surroundings. Some of the smaller animals roam freely and will snitch nibbles from the carrots in your hand.It is rather quite cute and when you tell them No,No.
I could have swear that sheep was like" Yeah,Watch me, when you turn your back, again!
Petting Zoo cost $3 per person.
They also provide food to feed the animals at a small cost. $1.00..
Carry cash and change( they have machines inside to get bird food) IF you like birds!!! It is easier that way!! They also give buggy rides, not sure how much that was.
and they also give pony rides. The Big Horse was $5 to ride.
They sell Leather goods, Lawn decorations, Food to eat on site, Ice cream and produce that is reasonably priced. Next time, I would love to check out the baked goods, you could smell when you drive by.
Staff was amazingly helpful.Upon admission you can buy sliced carrots and whole carrots to feed the animals along with pellet cones.$1.00 each. This is a very busy place so, GO EARLY, This place stays BUSY !!
Kids and Adults will have a blast...Still smiling...

By t0tt |

This was a great place to visit for the family. The little kids got to see and pet animals at the FREE petting zoo. You could buy food to feed them at a reasonable price. You could ride ponies or horses (not sure about price on those). You could feed the goats on the rooftop. There was food, mums, crafts, produce, pumpkins, baked goods. You name it, they had it.. You could ride a wagon out to the pick your own pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

By P J Avery |

Stopped in during our three day trip to Amish Country and we all enjoyed it. From the petting zoo, horse rides, buggy rides and local Amish market, there is something for everyone.

We were amazed at the big horse raised right there on the farm that weighs over 3,000 pounds. Being able to stand so close to animals like the longhorn steer and llama was also awesome. The buggy ride was very informative about the life of the Amish.

Prices for the petting zoo, buggy and horse rides are very reasonable for being in a tourist area.

The donuts and cinnamon rolls made fresh on site were delicious. Our buggy driver told us that the bakery ladies start baking at 230 in the morning in order to open the market by 8.

Definitely recommend this place for all ages.

By Diane S |

Great place to get canned goods, candy, noodles, baked goods as well as spices and crackers and of course difference kinds of dips.
Got the beets and wished I would have gotten more.
Homemade kaluski noodles are amazing.

By 4adventures |

What a nice place to visit. The petting barn is a treat (extra charge and worth it) with many animals for you to experience. General store with locally made goods, antique store. There is also a fresh bakery/ small grocery with beautiful seasonal garden vegetables onsite. The baked goods are delicious and there is also fresh made Kettle corn outside - yum.

Bring the family and enjoy a fews hours in the Amish countryside.

By LoveTravel748945 |

This place is great for adults and kids! It’s a free petting zoo (you can buy very inexpensive cones with pellet food to feed the goats if you’d like). The best baked goods ever! Try their homemade fry pies and cream sticks but don’t go too late in the day or they’re sold out!!

Wonderful produce, the peaches were as good as The Peach Truck. The bakery, deli and groceries were unique and fresh.

By Classic Country |

Clean store with some prices high and some really low!
Farm animal petting zoo ( must purchase tickets), cool crafts for adults, leather products, rugs, steel cut out signs and really cool wooden toys for kids!
Low priced rugs. I even saw a leather fly swatted!
Everyone should check this place out

This was not our first time here. We love taking our daughter here. She has a great time feeding the animals. Everyone is so friendly and there is such a huge verity of animals. Our daughter loves feeding, petting and hugging the llamas and horses. We love the bunny event that they have. We love this place. There is a small store to buy food. And they have great hamburgers.

By Jeff |

Petting zoo worth the $ for little kids. Buy some carrot slices for the critters. Kids will really like it. Pony or horse rides - blah. Good food trailer. Good grocery store.

By Map238 |

Such a great place to visit in Amish Country. Store with all sorts of goods- toys, fabrics, leather goods, and more. Antique shop, farm animals, hamburger stand, kettle corn, vegetable stand, amazing bakery, so much to see and do. Good prices too.

By michellehall2016 |

I love coming here to feed the goats and enjoy all the animals, they love carrot chips and will come sit on your lap for some attention.

By Diane F |

Know for their many varieties of Fry Pies. When we went in August they had a great selection of farm fresh produce including honey crisp apples and pumpkins.

By Gigglebox |

This was one of our Amish country stops. They were very busy and some were waiting for parking spots. They had lots of animals you could pet but we weren't there for that. We walked around the shop and my husband bought himself a new leather belt and money clip. They also had a back room with old memorabilia for sale. We didn't go in the bakery.

By gottcoke |

The bakery and shops are fun to look at but the attractions are a little on the pricey side. We did buy some stuff in bakery but found cheaper and better made stuff down the road at a true Amish shop. But it is worth a stop here.

By P H |

Good prices in the bakery and on the produce. Take a cooler and ice packs. Neat things in the other building too.

By Michelle R |

Wonderful thing to do as a family! Large variety of animals! Prices were great! Bakery was very nice as well. Had a great time here!

By MightyPenguin |

My 5 year old son loves to stop here on our trips to Ohio’s Amish Country. He likes to take a ride on one of the horses then walk through the petting zoo and feed the animal. After that we always walk into the market and bakery and stock up on some items. The bakery here is very good.

By Austin S |

A nice combination of animals, shopping and food. Overall a fun place to visit! Nice bakery and home made ice cream.

By bljh2014 |

Such a large area to visit. Several houses to visit. A bakery with all sort of baked goodies such as bread, cookies, whoopie pies, fried pies and more. Bags of pasta with jars of home made goodies such as the area's famous peanut butter fluff. Bought a homemade fiber bar. Delicious. Visit the gift shop. Large selection of souvenir . They have a large petting zoo with ponies, sheep goats, bunnies. Great place for kids to get a pony ride

By Jas2281 |

The bakery alone is worth the stop, but then you have a farmers market, kettle corn, shopping and a petting zoo. Everything but the petting zoo opens at 8am. The petting zoo does not open until 10am.

By Racer70 |

My 9 yr. old daughter and I stopped at Hershberger's on July 27, 2018. We absolutely loved the petting farm inside their huge barn. There were goats, horses, pigs, chickens, cows, rabbits and lots of other critters to see, feed and play with. There were also lots of babies and newborns to see. It was easily the best petting farm I've ever been too and that includes zoos.

You and your kids will have a ball playing for hours with the animals. The cost to enter the petting barn is $3.00 per person for all day. (well worth it) There is also ponies and larger horses kids can ride on. When in Amish country, do yourself and your family a favor and check out Hershberger's.

By JEGShifflett |

We had fun watching them make the kettle corn over an open fire. We bought donut holes from the bakery, a couple bottles of different fruit ciders and some apples for pie making when we go back home. Great place to visit! Lots of yummy stuff to try.

By Kelly S |

It was chilly and raining the day we were there which limited the things we chose to do. We spent some time in the gift shop, especially the antique area. We could have spent hours there! There was a plethora of produce there! Tons of pumpkins, cauliflower, tomatoes, apples, onions, and a variety of squash. Inside there was a small area with jams, canned veggies, and other packaged food. The star attraction was the bakery! There are rows and rows of fresh bread, fruit pies, dinner rolls, fry pies, some still warm! There was also cheese, eggs, milk, meats - all locally sourced. Outside they were cooking kettle corn and apple butter. All the prices were very reasonable. There was an area with animals to pet and buggy rides which we didn't visit. This is a must-see place in Amish country.

By Curtis T |

Great place to pick up all your needs for one stop We have been going there for years. The bake good are out of this world..

By btclank |

All of the baked items were very good. The creme filled donuts are amazing. We get a least one every time we are in the area. So many good things here. In the summer the produce is very good and plentiful as well. Worth the stop for sure.

By Murvil An Lucia M |

We stopped here a couple of times and got fresh bakery bread and fried pies along with some other stuff you only find at Amish stores. The bakery items were wonderful and wished we have bought more to take home.

By Yorkiemom19 |

Fun stop for some delicious cheeses, noodles, baked goods, candies and fresh vegetables.
There’s also a petting farm that we didn’t visit. Everything we saw looked fresh and
the items we purchased were so delicious. We stocked up on fry pies and they
were incredible.

By daphne g |

Awesome petting area for young children. Many baby goats and pigs roam free which our 2-1/2 year old loved. There is an admission charge but no complaints from me as there are many, many animals they are maintaining. This was our first time and we will most definitely go back. We took a buggy ride and the gentleman shared the history of the area and of the Amish and Mennonite that came from Switzerland and Germany. It was very interesting!
Highly recommend!

By andrewnM4812II |

A very nice and polite Amish run place. My wife an kids really enjoyed the animal barn, they choose to feed a Belgium Horse carrots, my youngest enjoyed playing with the goats. We also did a carriage ride. The gentleman was very nice and gave a lot of information to us. My wife shopped in one store then we went to food area. They had the best kettle corn I have ever eaten, I also had some delicious buckeyes. A good place to stop at!

By Steven M |

Great place to take the family. Lots to see and do. The animals and petting zoo was great. Lots of cute and baby animals to feed and pet. Nice store as well

By Mary E |

I took my small children here, and had a great time. The free petting zoo was great. We paid extra for a pony ride and big farm horse ride. It was worth it. Our baked goods were awesome. I loved the homemade ice cream. I highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area.

By Jessica T |

The pastries here are amazing! The cream sticks are huge and delicious. It's hard to choose a pie, they're all so good. I always get peanut butter.

By Feckenbear |

My husband and I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and had so much fun petting the animals and feeding them carrot chips, the stores are really neat too! Loved the chocolate👍

By MeMeJoann |

Hershberger Farms was a delightful stop! A true taste of Amish food and crafts! Highly recommended to all.

By travellintheusa |

Two buildings: one for food and the other for new/antique shopping. THE most beautiful apples !! Excellent prices for hand made baskets. Husband found a lot of olde-tyme tools.
Nice leather belts. MUST feed goats on roof !!

By Debbie P |

This is always my first stop in Holmes County. I have lunch here with the homemade bakery buns. Homemade ice cream is always a delight. Love feeding the goats on the roof.

By sjudy2016 |

We go here to visit on every trip to Amish country. There's a wonderful bakery that also carries many other products including giant home grown vegetables. We love the homemade wooden toys and other gifts. There's a petting farm with goats that hang out on the roof. You can take a buggy ride and go out on a wagon for a pumpkin in the fall. We also love the Kettle corn being cooked right in front of you by Amish workers. Then if you get hungry there is a place right there where you can buy food and sit at tables to relax. You've got to visit Hershberger's!

By Paul S |

This attraction is also listed under restaurants in Millersburg although it is more of a tourist trap attraction. The traffic is really heavy on the road to Charm so you have to be very careful. The buggy rides and the petting zoo are open seasonally. In the summer and fall it can be really overrun. Unless you have small kids who are thrilled by the petting zoo or enjoy standing in lines, you can spend your time more productively elsewhere in Amish country. Lots of people love the place but I think it is over rated and over priced. There is rustic and tourist merchandise, few antiques in the store. Small jar candles were $6.25 each or four for $20. We found much larger ones for the same price near Walnut Creek. In the bakery, there are frypies and such, but also things like White Trash snack mix. I have never seen anything like that in Amish bakeries in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kansas, or Kentucky. The store and the bakery both take credit cards with a $20 minimum purchase.

By jlthomas1949 |

The bakery here is amazing! The raisin bread was the best I've ever had, as was the cinnamon buns, dinner rolls, and dip pies! The petting zoo is great for the kids.

By Joezette K |

Best fry pies, fresh produce, and baked good! don't forget about the petting zoo those animals need loving too!!!

By bkfogg |

Here a little late in the year so the petting zoo is closed, and definitely a highlight for the kids, but the stop for there baked goods is worth the stop.

By dheinzl4 |

grandkids loved all the animals. they had the largest horse i ever seen, he even tried taking my glasses off my head!

By backseathd |

The staff are wonderful too! we come here at least once a year and load up on and the best fry pies ever and fresh produce

By irishsue70 |

Loved the fresh green and yellow beans present when you walked in the door. There was also a large variety of additional fruits and vegetables in the entryway. Once you enter the store you are in sugar overload with all the delicious treats available. The variety of fry pies available is mind boggling. There are many other baked tasty treats too. However, it doesn't stop there! There are meats, cheeses, canned and dried vegetables along with a wide variety of spices. This is a must see place wheneverwe are in Holmes County.

By Ashley |

We loved visiting here on our staycation! It was very well priced, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Highly recommend! we enjoyed it so much we went 2 days in a row!

By wisebanana |

This place is at the top of our list to stop at each time. Love watching the goats on the roof waiting for food. Great produce! Amazing Canadian bacon! Best bakery stuff and selection of fresh fried pies!

By RGW321 |

They have a petting zoo for children that is well worth visiting, along with a great selection of fresh vegetables, jellies, etc.

By mogadad |

they have a petting zoo. 3.00 pp you can by food to fee the goats horses cows, llmas and other animals. they have the biggest cow and horse that i have every seen. they also offer horse and buggy rides around the farm for 7.00 pp

By martinelli18 |

Took my little ones to the farm and they absolutely loved it. They were able to pet, play, and feed all of the animals. Plus they were able to take a horse ride. You do have to pay for each of these but completely worth it for the kids and reasonable prices.

By cumer64 |

Nice Farman stand, had a lot of fresh veggies, and mums on our visit. They had a nice bakery, can't comment on the bakery didn't buy and bakery items, but did buy veggies.

By waterdance |

This place is a bakery. They have the best donuts that I ever tasted. They even have day old goods for cheap. There is also a craft place here, farm animals. buggy rides, as well as an outside grill. I love this place I'll come back to this place 1st everytime. Next favorite place to go is Walnut Creek Cheese.

By mcdani |

Stuck between four and five stars. The free petting zoo/farm was great for our 2 and 4 year old and so was the wagon ride for our 4 yr old and father to go out to the pumpkin patch. Lots of fall stuff and home decor to buy as well as baked goods and other foods.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing an extra pair of shoes after seeing the animals. There was so much on the bottom of our shoes and the kids put their feet everywhere once back in the car. Also, they don't take cash at all, but they do have an ATM. Definitely give this place a stop. We will always come back when in the area.

The only reason why I am stuck between four and five stars is because of how much they charge for rides and because they don't take cards. My husband had pulled money from their ATM to buy tickets to ride on the wagon out to the pumpkin patch ($4 a piece) and I went into food store (assuming it would be different and take cards) and was corrected after I found a huge handful of bakery items to buy. It was too much of an inconvenience with my impatient 2 yr old and my hands full to then use the ATM, so I just left what I was going to buy. I'm not mad though, I didn't need any of it and it saved me $40.

By leslie r |

Went 3 out of 3 days while we were near town! A little off the beaten path which made it more desirable. The kids absolutely loved the bunnies and the baby goats. The animals are very docile and love to be petted. The baby Pygmy goats are especially cute. The prices in the gift and antique shops seem to be the best around.

By Kolich Vacations |

We love it here! The bakery items are so good! We make sure we stop here everytime we are in the area. Make sure to stop by and grab some treats and check out the animals there too 😀

By ryers_flowers |

Hershbergers is a wonderful family destination. They have so much there to do and see. The animals are a big attraction and I never tire of seeing them. As for the bakery, all I can say is YUM , YUM, YUM. Great offerings of baked goods as well and cheeses and produce.

By The Flying Hens |

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 young children) visited Hersherger's Farm and had a BLAST. If you are visiting Amish Country with kids, this is a must do!

Tickets to the petting zoo are only $3 a person (ages 2 and under are free) and then grain and carrots can be purchased to feed the animals. Buggy and horse rides are also available at a small cost.

The amount of animals in this place is unreal. Our kids were squealing with delight chasing goats and chickens around the barn. Most of the animals are in pens but you can pet them, feed them, and even hold some of the animals. My favorite thing was watching the baby pigs <3 There is a handwashing station outside of the barn, but our clothes were also filthy from playing with animals. FYI your kiddos will be dirty, head to toe!

Overall we spent about 1.5-2 hours here. There is a bakery and store on site as well, but we visited for the animals!

By Patchez89 |

I read the reviews here and decided to check this place out. I was NOT disappointed! As you pull in, you notice a ramp on the side of a barn so some goats can climb up on the roof. I was bewildered until I noticed a pulley system where you can insert a cone filled with pellets (for a $1 fee) and send the cones to the roof! That was pretty neat to see!

They sell carrot slices ($2 for a little french fry sized tray), whole carrots and sugar cones with pellets in them ($1 each) to feed to the animals. You walk through a gate and there are some free-roaming sheep and goats waiting to snatch the treats! I was not paying attention and realized a goat was starting to consume my shirt! He didn't chew through it but when I was pulling it out of his mouth, he seemed to have enjoyed a good portion of it! I found this hilarious but failed to get it on video! They will try to eat the whole carrots right out of your hands so beware!

There were lots of cute little babies - piglets & goats. I saw people picking them up out of their pen. They have lots of animals inside the bar including the biggest Belgian horse I have ever seen (weighing in at 2,920 lbs!). You can also go outside and pay an additional fee for a buggy ride around the property.

They have some buildings selling yard decor, produce, etc and a food truck selling fresh made selections.

I cannot wait to go back when it is not as hot and humid and partake in feeding again! Well worth the trip!

By Jenni M |

I stopped with my bus trip to check out the market. When you walk in into the market, you can smell the fresh apples and produce in the entry way. When you get inside the actual market, that smell changes over to freshly baked donuts. It is heavenly! There are so many baked goods to choose from, along with cheeses, seasonings, meats, jams, candies, homemade noodles, and much more. Definitely plan to bring a cooler because you will not leave empty handed!!

Also on the property is a shop that contains gifts and handmade crafts, as well as, a Petting Zoo. Unfortunately, it was too cold for the animals, so we didn’t get a chance to see them outside.

If you are in the area, plan to make a stop. You will not regret it!

By barnettca |

Good baking, good prices. We found the baby Swiss cheese cheaper here than at the factory it was made. I've never seen a cantalpoue as big as the one she there!

By Charles R |

Hershbergers is the place to visit for a weekend visit in Holmes County. Great food, produce, bakery selections of all kinds and welcoming of families. Lots of animals to see, great display of pumpkins and gords and a great mix of locals and tourist. Don't miss this venue if you are touring Amish country.

By travelmamaCleveland |

We loved this place! It was our favorite place in Amish country! Animals run free and one (a baby goat) even sat on my lap and went to sleep. You could feed the animals food and carrots. We had so much fun! Their are horse and buggy and pony rides. You can eat at this place or shop.

By JMurphy732 |

They now charge $3 admission to the petting zoo where you spend money to feed the animals There used to be no admission What a rip off Bake shop also overpriced

By patriciatN5212OE |

We always include Hershbergers in our Ohio Amish Country visits. Wonderful basked goods, especially the fry pies. Beautiful country setting.

By Amanda M |

This farm was a fun family outing for my boys (age 7 and 4) and for my parents as well.

The petting zoo is a must. It was $3 per person and then you could buy animal feed cups and carrots to feed to the animals. The animals came right up to you and were ready to be fed. You can walk around to the back as well in the outside open area. Lots of animals. Make sure to get stamped if you leave.

You can pay to ride ponies, or horses as well. You can pay to ride in a buggy as well.
There is a gift shop that sells some great items. It also has some great antiques to look at and purchase.

The bakery is a must-stop! Great donuts (so big), pies, fry pies, and the farmers cheese was excellent. The chocolate turtles were amazing as well.
We tried a peach slushie! Yum..

They have a food truck that sells burgers, fries, anything you could think of that is fried. Ice cream and other treats.

They have a covered area with picnic tables that you can sit at. You can bring food and coolers as well and eat your own food if you didn't want to purchase any of the food there.

Just a great family friendly place. The peaches were amazing! So was the cantaloupe. Highly recommend making a stop here when in Amish Country!

By Aubrey T |

This is a nice petting farm. We actually had the opportunity to watch an animal in labor and giving birth. This place is also a bakery. Great for the kids and adults as well. Indoor and outdoor. I believe we also took a carriage ride here for an extra cost.

By Kathy S |

This is a great stop. Wide variety of items. You can watch leather wallets being made. Nice gift selection and many antiques. A separate building has a wonderful bakery and sells meats sticks, cheeses, baked goods, etc. Great place to get fry pies. I always bring some home. Very nice petting zoo. Goats climb up on the roof. I liked it better when petting zoo was free. It was much smaller when it was free but everyone could enjoy the animals. Now it is appx $6 per person. It would be nice if they gave you a free coupon with purchase of certain dollar amount. I spend a lot of money in their stores and don't get to enjoy the animals because it is an additional cost. $30 for 5.

By Joi H |

I have been to the area several times over the years and this was the first time to visit Hershberger's Farm & Bakery. I don't know how I've missed this place, it's great! Lots of produce, bakery items, bulk items. They were having food outside and wagon rides as part of a Fall festival. It's a huge place. I will definitely make this a stop from now on!

By spinman15 |

Crazy busy on a Saturday afternoon. The cream sticks were huge and very good. As are the cinnamon rolls. I can also recommend the red raspberry fry pie.

By singforjoy70 |

Great place to buy baked goods and produce. Shop here on every visit to Holmes County and highly recommend.

By Dale S |

We enjoyed the animals and the bakery. My parents always stop here to get their elderberry fry pies (the only place we can find that flavor) so they took us there to see the giant horse as well. Well worth the stop in a county with so many attractions. More authentic Amish experience than some places around.

By Sharon B |

Great place to buy baked goods with a variety of other products. There are animals for kids to feed.

By Lynn C |

This is a great place to visit. It has wonderful baked goods- breads, fried pies, etc. as well as all kinds of cheeses and other foods. They have all kinds of fresh produce such as tomatoes, onions, and catelope. There is also a petting zoo for kids and you can take buggy rides as well. It's well worth your time to visit.

By RBII |

We stopped while on a trip to Amish country. I bought a couple fried pies from their bakery; they even had elderberry. Then we walked around their arts and crafts shop. They had some very old tools for sale; many of which I did not know their use. They had all kinds of very old stuff for sale.

Saw a brochure about this lace and needed to stop. Selling popcorn so had to get some. So much to see and do. The petting zoo looked fun.
Loved shopping in the store. So many options. Had to get bread and butter pickles. Love these
Stop and visit. You will be glad you did.

By potatochip1 |

Went to visit the Hershberger Farm and Bakery. They have a nice selection of food items as well as fresh produce. Some of the produce was a bit higher in price than we normally would pay for, but probably because it is fresher and organic. They have a petting zoo and buggy ride but it was not open yet when we arrived. We ended up buying some dinner rolls which were very fresh and pretty good tasting.

By johndwilliams |

Fresh produce, carved wooden toys, baby goats and a whole lot more. How can you not enjoy this place.

Definitely should be on your list when you're in the area.

By Jocelyn C |

Our family (kids ages 9 & 11) visited Hershberger's Farm & Bakery 3 days ago while traveling from Dublin, OH to CT. We planned to stop for a little while in our trip home but it turned into a full day event. We loved the petting zoo and feeding all of the animals. Seeing all of the animals and their babies was thrilling. We don't have these experiences here in the city. The farm is beautiful as far as the eye can see with rolling hills, green pastures and many different kinds of animals. My son fell in love with a baby bunny that we purchased here. We also took a ride around the farm in a horse drawn buggy and got to pray with our driver Henry who is dealing with siatic pain.

We had the best lunch and dessert all made fresh on the farm. The store had so many unique, beautiful, wonderful hand made items and antique farm tools and decor. The fire pits are gorgeous and I wish I had room to bring one home. The bakery had many items, pastas, meats, cheeses, and baked goods. We purchased some apple pies and cinnamon bread that were SO MUCH BETTER than anything we could buy in a store make at home. If you're in Ohio this is must see. If I get the chance to come back this way, I'm bringing a pickup to get that fire pit.

By alwaysonthego66 |

In addition to being a market with a good bakery, a wide variety other items to buy, animals for the kids to pet, and hot vendor food you will see (weather dependent) goats on the roof of the building that houses the animals. The goats come and go as they please, and seem to really like being on the roof and looking down on us tourists. Who knows what they are thinking...I have my opinion.

By Kim B |

Variety of activities to do here. They do have a bakery/grocery store with Amish made products. They have the usual jams, noodles, dry goods, cheeses, trail bologna, pies, bread, cookies, and produce in the bakery. Next to the bakery they sale freshly made kettle corn and right bedside that is where you can see them making the popcorn. Next to the popcorn is an ice cream stand and then a food stand. Across the way they have a general store with Amish made wood toys, baskets, etc and antique store. In front of this store is the petting zoo (which we did not do - did not have enough time). We did see some ponies, goats, and a small horse. And I did see a sign that you could a big horse or small horse.

By PookeyPants |

A traditional stop in Ohio Amish country. We buy their fried pies which are a must. Bought a variety of 10, brought them home and froze them. We will be rationing them. Friendly staff. Many food items to choose from.

By phillytrish7475 |

great selection of cheeses, meats, bakery items. Also leather and wood crafts. Nice gifts. The fresh made fruit pies were excellent and delicious

By Dowanna R |

We stop by every time we are in the area, we actually stopped by twice during this visit! The bakery is amazing, I actually think it was the best doughnut I ever ate! Pies, cookies, bread, butter...was just a few things we brought home. The produce is extra large and delicious. We took a buggy ride with Abe and his horse Charlie. A great time!!!!

By ckaintz |

Always a must stop has we head out of Holmes County for home! Everything is fresh and delicious and the girls working are very kind and helpful.

By Melinda f |

My mother and I stopped by on a whim when looking for a simple loaf of bread for sandwiches on our way back to our cabin for the night. We were almost overwhelmed by the options! We came in for a loaf of bread but left with pie, tarts, cider, treats, snacks, candy, etc. Outside had all manner of pumpkins, decorations, animals etc. We didn't look at all of that though.

By Loraine S |

Love Hershberger's! The staff is very helpful. My sister and I enjoyed the petting farm. Three trays of sliced carrots ($5) made us VERY popular with the goats and horses!

By Nancy S |

Great fry pies too. This market is excellent for one stop shopping. Tomatoes, peaches cantaloupe, watermelon and corn were purchased. All tasted great.

By LivinglifeinPA |

What a great find!!!!!!

Lots of fresh produce, a bakery with 26 varieties of pies...and MUCH more, a Craft Building, and a market filled with jarred/canned goods, cheeses, and anything else you might want.

There is also an area for feeding the animals (at a fee) and there are food trailers there to purchase your lunch or dinner.

By Theresa |

We have been coming here since this was just beginning that has along time .. We started coming since 1997 .. ❤️💙❤️💙Enjoy !!

By garysa2017 |

Big sweet cream sticks. Many pies of all flavors. A great little Amish place to stop at for a snack and see the worlds largest horse, or so they say.

By Sue R |

Great place for all. Kids will love the animals and adults will find lots of things to shop for including great food items. Allow yourself plenty of time here.

By Debbie C |

Blast to the past. You don't find these kinds of places any more. From the modern and new to the so many hand held tools from I would say a century ago. Leather goods, hand made toys. The food building/produce was a sweet tooth addict's paradise.

By Mary Ellen L |

A fun stop for all; animals for the kids, shopping for adults and an excellent little grocery full of local baked goods, jams, jellies and more. And lots of local produce to buy. A highly recommended stop!

By Jack S |

A great experience awaits the visitor as they sort through the many animals and products offered and sights, rides and just plain relaxation of an earlier time. Great food awaits and pick up a pumkin or two.

By mudangel |

We stopped here on a recommendation from a family member. It was a nice place to pick up fresh produce & baked goods. My favorite part of the visit was the Hersh-burger & homemade ice-cream!!! A must have!!!! They also have a petting zoo for the kids & give buggy rides. Enjoyed our time there!!!

By sandralV1551LI |

We come here each fall visit to Ohio Amish country. Kids (and adults) loved the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins. The animals at the farm are fun to see and pet. The store has a wide variety of unusual items from wooden toys to antiques. Food is available...cooked over a fire. Flowers and fall items are very reasonably priced. The kids loved their double saddle ride on a very big horse!

By Julie H |

The Hershberger Farm & Bakery is a unique look in to how an Amish farm can become a business to encourage tourism in Amish country. They have a neat petting zoo that allows children to get up close and personal with goats, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc. You can purchase food to feed the petting zoo animals and the big Belgian horse Buck and his family. There is a store on the premises where you can purchase wooden toys, belts, bird feeders, antiques, etc. you can also purchase bakery items and food. They have wagon, buggy, and pony cart rides available for a fee. You can also ride a big work horse or a pony for a fee.
At this time, they are also selling pumpkins, gourds, and mums. We were able to watch a farrier working on a Belgian's hooves and apple butter being made. We also got a chance to visit with Mr. Hershberger, the Amish gentleman who started this great attraction. And yes goats actually do run on the rooftop of one of the buildings.

By Sara L |

I’ve visited this place twice before this visit and for some reason I never went inside the bakery. What a mistake I’d made. The shop is amazing but let me tell you the bakery is top notch. I purchased fry pies for my husband, Amish bread, and corn. Place was crowded as always, but that just says how good the place is. Will def be back soon.

By Joseph H |

My wife and I enjoyed visiting the Hershberger Farm and Bakery. We started with the bakery - the pumpkin cookies were difficult to resist. The highlight of the visit was the petting zoo. The petting zoo is $3 per person over aged 2 (some websites state it is free), but it's well worth $3 per person! See photos - a great 75 minutes (particularly the baby goats and baby rabbits).

The little ones really enjoyed seeing all the different animals and being able to interact with them.

Went with my wife and twins. We all loved the time that we spent here. The petting zoo was great. Buggy ride was great-we loved riding with Abe. Cost to do everything was extremely reasonable and we went back again the next day after rain changed plans for us.

This place has the best jams & jellies along with great bakery items - I always buy extra fried pies to bring home to freeze for later dates. Gift shop has many items locally made.

This a wonderful farm and bakery. The petting zoo and produce is a little pricey and if you go in the summer, the crowds as tremendous, but we stop everytime for the creme sticks and cinnamon rolls. The best around. We try to stop week days in the fall and spring.
