10 of 34 Best Attractions in Hershey

This was a great side trip for the day. My wife, my brother-in-law and his wife and I went to Hersheypark to do some shopping some relaxing in just to have fun. Who knew they had this many different kinds of products at the public can eat. I’m pretty sure all of them are not available in stores, but certainly there. They have a couple ofindoor rods that you can go to. Everybody’s smiling and friendly prices seem to be good. They also have an amusement park if you have children or you like riding rides be a great place to spend the day.

The drink plan was a complete waste. Almost every station was swarming with bees, making it unsafe for my wife and daughter who are allergic to stings. The only bee-free station was connected to an outdoor restaurant — apparently employee safety matters more than guest safety. We couldn’t use the pass at all. Extremely disappointed.

I went to Hershey Park today with my 10 year old son and other members of his hockey team. The experience there was awful to say the least. The line/mob to get in was unbelievably disorganized and it took about an hour to get into the park. Then, once inside, the line for each ride was at least 1hr long. We spent about 4 hours from the time we left the car and only got on 1 ride. The lines for food were more than 30 min long and the popcorn that you could just quickly buy was stale. The experience was terrible. I will never come back to Hershey Park.

Fast track is the bane of every normal persons existence. The Hersheypark app has wait times but then having the same people cut the line on fast track while the normal line doesn’t move is infuriating. They need to reform the system so the ratio of elitist to normal people is normalized or maybe fast track only gets one skip per day per ride. It’s destroying Hersheypark. Thankfully still get preview the night before.

Overall it's a fun theme park with things to do for all ages. It has some amazing coasters, but also has plenty for the little, shorter, kiddos. It also has a waterpark where you could easily spend an entire day.
Yes, it's expensive and you'll wait in line for anything that isn't a kiddie ride, but that's part of going to amusement park. If you aren't okay with waiting 30-45++ minutes in line per ride and you don't want to pay $20 per adult for a meal, don't go. Waiting in line and expensive food is just how amusement parks are.
Honestly, the price of a season pass is worth it if you can go three times throughout the entire year (halloween and Christmas included as well as the summer). Perks are free parking and deals on food as well as free tickets and discounts throughout the year.

When we started going 10+ years ago, entry was around $10-15, and only a handful of rides -- mostly kiddie rides-- operated. The crowds were small, and ride wait times were under 10 minutes. The fun came, mostly, from walking around and eating sweets (the kettle-corn is amazing). Now, it's almost like prime season. Tickets >$50/person, most of the rides are open, crowds are huge, even on the coldest days and attraction wait times can exceed 1hr, even to see Santa's reindeer.
We enjoy Hershy Park for what it is in the summer months, but our pre-Christmas tradition may have ended in 2022.

Absolutely not ready for the volume of people that still wanted to have a good time in October
Wait times are what they are on rides but they barely staffed the food areas and it took over 1 and a half hours just to get a meal. The Hershey I remember as a kid is gone. Very sad. Also waited in line for a roller coaster only to find out from the people leaving from the fast pass lane that it was closed and they didn’t tell people who were waiting it was closed for an undetermined amount of time. again is what it is and I want to be safe but at least tell people so they can make a decision to stay and wait or leave.
Do better Hershey Park

Hersheypark is one of the best amusement parks our family has ever visited. There was really something for everybody when it came to rides. We started our day at the water park then had lunch at the Chocolatier, then went on rides.
The park was not that crowded that day, as most students in Central Pennsylvania went back to school earlier that week. My favorite ride was the pirate ship. It did give me some anxiety because I am afraid of heights. Anyone else, will absolutely love it.
At Hersheypark, you definitely get your money's worth. There is so much to do! It's only a 3.5 ride from Long Island and closer from NYC and NJ.

It was terrible. Looonnggg lines, so crowded you can't walk and you have to park a mile away and walk. We didn't get to ride anything, we couldn't find anything with under an hour wait. The staff at Chickie and Pete's were the worst, we saw fries ready and half the staff were standing around and looking at their phones. It honestly didnt seem like many people were having fun, it was miserable. For what they charge, they could limit the number of attendees to make it enjoyable.

It was a fun experience! There is something for everyone. Some rides had a long wait but they kept moving. There are many coasters and water rides

Very nice park, very fun. It gets packed so arrive early to get the most out of it, the store is great too.

Does waste your time. Open to close all rides more than 90 mins wait. This is scam. Money grab by big Corp. Mr. Milton Hershey is rolling over in his grave.

I am here visiting until tomorrow (Monday). We arrived Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. The ticketing agents to get your season passes up and running are stellar. We rode a few rides but decided to come back the next afternoon to begin our full day. Trying to find attendants to assist with questions regarding lockers and the HPGO machines were not there. I found it odd that there is no one any of these areas to answer questions, especially for possible first timers or people who might have small kids in tow. It was frustrating for me with just a teen trying to track someone down. We are season pass holders and was trying to find information on how to get the discount for the fast pass. We ended up paying the full price thinking there would be an option before payment. There was not. In 7 hours, with a fast pass, my daughter and I rode 3 rides. Honestly, the price didn’t outweigh the wait.
We are heading back today, so with a little better knowledge of how things work, we may get to the fun faster instead of trying to find staff to assist us. You got a good thing Hershey… don’t become a mediocre park. You’re better than that.

Wonderful family friendly park. Excellent prices on food and merchandise. Enjoyed the informative tour and the rides!

Absolutely Awful experience for my family. Many kid/family rides were closed, including monorail, 2 of the tower rides and chairlift. We were there for 6 hours on Saturday - we only rode 1 ride as a family( the train). The lines were so ridiculously long. Some coasters were 240 minutes. We waited 30 minutes for a kiddie ride and didn’t even get halfway there, my kids had a meltdown. It’s criminal they charged people for this experience. $3 PER GAME for whack a mole? $10 per bucket for ball toss, $25 to park. There are few words to explain how miserable our time was here but I will never go back.

We have been going to Hershey park for Christmas for the past 7 years with our kiddos. This year we were quite disappointed with Candy Cane Lane. First off the hours were completely cut but the price went up. So for more money I lost an hour Friday night and 3 Saturday. Parking is now being charged Friday nights. Half of the light through out the park did not light up and this was especially true for the decor in the bridges during Noel. Noel this year was definitely not as good as in past years. Whoever organized the music and lights dropped the ball this year. The beautiful creypaper light that are usually in the trees by the theater were gone! They were always my favorite and I was disappointed to see they were not out at all. I assume the 12 days of Christmas was moved due to constructive but it lessened the amount of lights you see during the train ride and it wasn’t as nice. Where are all the characters?!? We saw way more characters during the hight of the pandemic. This year there was only Hershey and Reese’s. Candaminium was not open but they were constantly testing it.
The positives. Reindeer still amazing, Santa and ALL his elves were absolutely amazing. The Christmas tree trail was great when the lights were working. I especially loved the snow machine add.
My hope is that this was just a set back to prep the park for bigger and better thing for the 50th.

So, our visit was wonderful, BUT, with cold, fog, snow n rain yesterday it would be even better if there were "some outside heaters" where one could warm up a bit. We had hand warmers but too many cranky toddlers with wet feet n frustrated parents looking to warm up without going inside arcades where more $$$ n too much sound n noise don't help. Overall a great trip. We could have sold some of those hardwares n made a bundle!

It was MISERABLY crowded. We rode 3 rides all day. Wait times for coasters were between 90 mins to 3 hours. They really need to limit how many people they let in. Fast track passes to skip the line are ridiculously expensive ($175 PER PERSON). Insane. What a waste of hundreds of dollars.

Went for 2 days with 7 people ranging from the age of 4 to 50 and I would say that everyone had a great time. There is a good variety of kiddie rides, a handful of shows but my favorite which are the roller coaster are awesome. There is a small zoo that’s included with your ticket and there are water rides but they only open on summer. There are various candy characters around the park for photo opportunities. Plenty of places to eat so you can choose and it’s your typical amusement park food. I want to say that one day could be enough to visit but that really depends on the crowds

Now keep in mind, we purchased the highest level of season passes for Hersheypark since we are relatively close and enjoy going out to the area. The attractions here are awesome, like Candymonium, Skyrish, and Jolly Rancher Remix to name a few, and even some of the more kiddy rides are pretty cool too! Since we decided to get a meal plan when we go too, we are disappointed that it didn’t include Chik-Fil-A or Subway, but it does at least give a 10% off discount to this places if we so choose. The people that hate theme parks the most are the people who wait the most. Simple. If you don’t want to wait in lines, you should probably buy the fast passes at the parks…and get used to paying for these because it’s a system that is used in basically every high demand theme parks! Cough cough Disney. Part of the passes we bough give us 2 free tickets per pass as well as 15% off merchandise at their store and many other discounts around their park and even free parking for the Hershey bears games while they are still playing during park season! With fees, the top tier gold pass was $220 each, but for us this was a no brainer because we go to the park all the time and if you add up the prices of every time we fill up our souvenir cups to every time we get included meals, to even admission to their zoo and water park as much as we want, that price is definitely not shabby as we’ve stayed on top and saved more than we spent. Note that this review doesn’t include the water park yet as we have yet to experience that. It looks pretty impressive and we are excited to experience it! What brings a star down for us is the fact that each person is timed at the soda fountains and when we went during Christmas they gave us a little cup of hot chocolate that barely covered half our souvenir cup and we were told that was all they could give us and we’d have to wait back in line, (which was quite long) for another cup. Hershey can definitely do better for gold pass members here.

Went to the dark night’s Halloween. The character costumes were absolutely outstanding so many different unusual costumes very very good. The best of ever seen that the normal costumes you see at Halloween events it was spectacular. I wish the lines were not so long, but they are well worth waiting for. If you have a pass, maybe you can go different nights enjoy each event. I would definitely go back again. Loved every minute of it.

really really long lines ... not well organized at all rides running extreemly slow some not even opened

Pros:
- The Locker Rental system is great. You get to choose the locker section you want and the wristband access is convenient.
- There are countless snacks, popcorn, cotton candy, and lemonade vendors. They are still open after the Park’s closing time.
- Cashless purchasing
- Limited number of entry into the attractions. (Yet there were still lots of people in the attractions.)
- Two-hour preview entry to the park the evening before the day of your admission. You may have to pay for $25 general parking.
Cons:
- Insufficient number of lifeguards, security guards, and staff. There was no one around to ask a question, to locate the first aid station, and how to get coins for the penny machine (since the park is advertised as cashless).
- PARENTS! Mind your children! No cutting the lines. No pushing. No running, especially not on the stairs!
> At the East Coast Waterworks attraction, several children were running down the stairs pushing against the children who were walking up the stairs. A four year old child was on the first midway landing, and the stampede running down the stairs pushed her back so much that in 1.5 steps, she would have fallen down the concrete stairs, got TRAMPLED, and badly hurt!! HersheyPark - Where are your lifeguards to enforce the rules you announced over the loud speaker?! Parents - Where are you?? The children running up and down the stairs could hurt themselves and others!
- At the sandcastle water attraction, children are sliding down the water slide closely behind one another without clearance which could result in injuries. HersheyPark - Where are your staff to keep order and ensure safety? The safety/restriction signs you put up can not alleviate you of your poor management because children who gravitate towards that attraction are mostly children under 6 who can not read yet. Older children who are excited about playing won’t bother reading your safety/restriction signs either.
- At the East Coast Waterworks attraction, there is no visible sign on the height restrictions for the water slides (purple, orange, yellow) at the base of the structure. Even though there were announcements over the loud speaker, it’s hard to hear over the running water and noises. Beware so you are not wasting your time waiting on the line until you reach your turn with a now disappointed child.
- Both children and adults were cutting the attraction lines. People were arguing about people cutting the food lines too.
- LONG long lines for everything. If you think you are going to be hungry at 3 pm, you better get on a food line at 2 pm. I’m not kidding.
- HersheyPark - Your tram driver’s callous disregard for visitor safety could very well have bought on a lawsuit. The tram started moving as someone carrying a stroller was still making their way off the tram.
> First of all, the tram staff squeezed two families, both with strollers in one aisle. The family sitting inside (2 adults with 2 preschoolers and a stroller) needed to get off before the family (a father holding a toddler with a stroller) sitting by the exit. The mother of the family sitting inside had to help the two preschoolers down the tram. The father of the family sitting inside had to help the father of the family sitting outside carry their stroller off and on the tram first then bring their own stroller down. As he was doing that, with one foot still on the step of the tram and stroller lifted in his arms, the tram started moving. So dangerous.
- People were smoking by the Locker Rental area. HersheyPark - Where was the Smoke-free environment enforcement? There was nobody (staff around) to report the violation and inconsideration to.
- The grounds in the wet park rea (The Boardwalk) are littered. The Park needs to keep the grounds clean given the fact that many people walk barefoot in the pool / water attraction area.
- The Fast Refill set up is broken. Many of the stations were either closed, did not have ice, and/or had flat soft drinks. Your refill is also timed. You have 20 seconds to fill your cup. If your refill is flat, you just lost one of your refill allowances, and have to wait 10 minutes for the next refill. Note: The all-day refill souvenir cup is $20.
- In the morning, just ONE HOUR after park opening, a number of stalls in the women’s bathroom located by the park entrance had no bathroom tissue.
- Parents with children be aware - Single adults and family of multiple adults use the Family restrooms when they shouldn’t.
In conclusion, this park is not for you if you have young children.

I recently visited Hershey park with my adult children A trip I was very excited for The price was admission was very reasonable but unfortunately we were not able to really ride any of the rides for that price. If we really wanted to enjoy the multiple roller coasters that Hershey had to offer well than I would of had to shell out another 95 dollars a person for a “ fast pass” Without a fast pass I literally waited in line for almost two hours. Most of the time we were at a standstill to accommodate those with fast pass. I understand the concept of a fast pass but I also believe you need to cater to all your guests. Throughout the day I watched many frustrated guests get out of line because the wait was too long. And I also do not feel that the fast pass price should vary according to what day you attend. Ridiculous. I spent seven hours there and rode three rides. , only two of those were coasters. I understand that these places can be very crowded but I feel waiting two hours for one ride is really way too long If I wanted to ride every coaster in the park I would have needed a week! Communication could be better as well when the ride gets shut down for whatever reason and your staff feels they don’t need to inform the hot frustrated guests waiting in line (ugh) Won’t be visiting Hershey again any time soon. I will say many of the food options in the park were very good. Just don’t expect to pay with cash.

This was our first trip here in 10yrs. First time was great but this one was not. Packed was packed with school trips, hours waiting for each ride, but worst was the problems with ride. My family stood in line for 30 to a ride that closed because of juvenile delinquents cutting line. The ride closed. Then they went to lighting and was boarding the cart when they shut down one side and told them to go to other side, but made them go to back of line they had just waited 40 min to get thru. Done with this park and will not return

I wish I could give it a zero. We were there from 10 am - 10 pm and we went on 4 rides. The lines were so long, it was hot and miserable. We debated getting the fast pass but it’s far too expensive. Over $100 per person, in a group of 5? Not feasible.
They allow folks with disability passes to bring large groups on rides - sometimes in groups of 5-10 people. We were almost at the front of the line and had to wait an additional 30 mins while groups of people were ushered in front of us - they had no wait.
It was a Saturday, so we expected it to be crowded. However, it was just unreasonable. They should cut it off at some point so people can actually have a decent time.

If I could give ZERO I would. NEVER bring children here it is completely unsafe. We stayed for three days and only could ride ONE ride as lines were 2 hours long. Plus groups of teenagers kept cutting lines and then if you told them to stop they started literally throwing hands at parents and children and cussing. And when you scream help ALL employees just left the ride and left people there to fend for themselves. We ran to get security and was laughed at by the girl in the window and told no refunds at all. Disgusting and all their google reviews say the same thing. No bag checks or security at front meaning anyone with anything can enter the park and security is useless. Never go here if you are wanting a safe family trip.

This was a fun weekend at the park. There are many rides and everything is spaced far apart from each other. Plenty of bathrooms in every corner and the food and beverage stations are plentiful. Food options are fantastic. It is very hilly walking in the park, try to pace yourself. If you stay at the hotel Hershey or the lodge you get courtesy shuttle service and a “sweet” free hour at the beginning of the day to get on rides that are normally jammed packed. Overall great park for any age. Cashless as well. If you do multiple days it pays to get the $22 water bottle and free refills all day.

Very disappointed. I will say Hershey park is very nice looking. They have some great looking rides however the bad news is:
1. It is overcrowded. We left after 4 hours and rode ZERO rides. Not joking Zero rides. I have NEVER seen so many people jammed into a park in my life. We purposely went on a Monday so it would not be as crowded but it made NO difference.
2. The park is very confusing. Its layout makes no sense. Unlike Cedar Point and others that are flat. You have to go up and down hills when walking. Not feet friendly.
3. The overcrowding also applies to getting foot. The lines were ridiculous.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PARK. NEVER GOING BACK!

Price for parking and entry fee outrageous. One hour delay opening. Christmas lights were no working in a lot of the areas. Only 3 major rides open. 2-1/2 hour wait time. Got the refill hot chocolate not so hot.

A friend won tickets to Hersey Park and invited us. It turned out to be a beautiful day enjoying the Christmas lights. The Reindeer exhibit was awesome. Come out for the day.

I always love going to Hershey Park with my family. Some may think the long lines and expensive food is annoying but I find it pivotal to the amusement park experience. Hershey Park is alway a fun get away where the rides are so thrilling in the regular park and the water park. Cant wait for my next trip to Hershey!

Overall I was disappointed with the park. The park was somewhat dirty and extremely crowded!!! I emphasize the crowded aspect. We have been to Disney world on the Fourth of July and this was almost as bad and no where as large as Disney. Personally I think they could benefit from park reservations to keep the crowding to a minimum.
Also, the wait times on the app are often times not correct. The wave pool had a wait time of “10 minutes”… but the ACTUAL line was wrapped around the entire pool. Also the pool was completely full to the point where I would consider it human soup rather than a pool.
Additionally someone earlier posted that the crowding is a safety hazard and I would agree. If an emergency evacuation needed to happen it would have been dangerous.
Lastly and ultimately the final issue was that I saw several people (4-5 people) walking around smoking cigarettes and just flicking the ashes right on the ground.
I don’t expect this park to be like Disney. But I do expect cleanliness and safety. I would not recommend visiting this park unless it’s for the chocolate.
The chocolates and sweets were extremely good so that is why this review gets 2 stars instead of 1.

Because of the storm before we arrived at 4pm, the crowd was low. My 3 year old was able to ride most attractions alone or with a adult. We covered about 15 different rides multiple times in 4 hours. The wait time was usually only a few minutes.

We've been going for 29 years, our oldest is 29. Park prices have reached a point where my tradition has ended. Lines were crazy long. Love the Christmas ambiance. Gotten too crowded. HL, too expensive, hasn't changed in years.

Hersheypark was great. The system is amazing and great for all ages! The thrill rides are the best. I did Storm runner, Great Bear, Candymonium, Wildcat’s Revenge, Lightning Racer, and Skyrush. All were great. I don’t recommend doing the Waterpark if you are there for only one day, because the lines are long and you won’t have time to do all the rides. Overall, Hersheypark is amazing, full of food vendors for reasonable prices, and I highly recommend!

I love Hersheypark and have been going for decades as a family tradition. Unfortunately, the crowds are so bad that after paying $175 for 3 tix plus $25 parking fee you couldn’t get on any of the few rides that were open. The food lines were just as bad. I’m not one to write negative reviews but it’s time Hershey makes a change or this longtime customer won’t be back.

about 50% of the rides for little kids were closed in the height of August. Going to a park with 3 little kids, you an see how this was disappointing. The lines for the rides that were open were that much longer! They said it was because of staffing back in August, and I see guests are still having the same problem.
Hershey how come you can not get/retain staff??? It is staring to affect your customers. The little kids are just as important as your adult riders!

The lines were very long to get in, dont expect to get in 1 second before entry. We were pleased to see that when we got in the park it did not feel crowded at all.
None of the shops sold motion sickness medication but we were pleased to find the 1st aid station gave it out for free.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rides were great and most had very short waits (we attended on Memorial day). We got on all but 2 rides significantly faster than the predicted time on the app.
The park is rather hilly, keep that in mind if you have elderly guests

To be Honest, I was not satisfied with my trip to Hersheypark this year. I have a lot to say. First of all we had to pay an Extra $30 some dollars to park and it said nothing about it when we were buying the tickets. Second of all we bought the drink pass which was $23 just for them to manage our drink time you could only refill it every 90 minutes. We also bought cheese fries, but it said it had cheddar cheese, when we got them it came out with Queso cheese. Third of all, I don’t think The Fast Pass was necessary for many reasons, One, It is expensive Two, It is always sold out Three, I don’t think a non disabled or special needs person needs the accommodation. many disabled or special needs people including my granddaughter who has high functioning autism who needs this accommodation for medical reasons and I shouldn’t have to pay $200 just so me and my Granddaughter could get the accommodation. it is not her fault she has autism. This was disappointing to me

I have to say, this is a very clean park and well maintained. That was not the problem. The problem was the lines...omg the lines. When going to Hersheypark, be prepared to wait an hour minimum for every ride. If you want to get on to the more popular rides, your wait is extended.
This park is very badly signed and hard to maneuver. When trying to find the waterpark, I asked a woman how to get there because you would start to see signs for the boardwalk, then eventually the waterpark, but they were few and far between.
There were plenty of food places, but our wait was at least an hour to get our food. We went to Moe's located in the park and had no complaints with the food quality. One woman had a drink bottle, but she had to scan it at the soda dispenser and it gave you under 30 seconds to get your drink. If you fumble and can't refill your drink in that time frame you must wait 15 minutes between fills.
When I did go on a ride, they were enjoyable, but not worth the wait in line. The only way you can conquer this park is with fast pass, but they are wickedly expensive even when you compare the cost to just get into the park.
I never thought I would say this out loud, but I enjoy the Six Flags theme parks much better. At least there are down times on certain rides and it gives you a chance to ride some rides without waiting in line long periods of time.
Just to put things in perspective we spent over 180 for three people to visit and rode on only four rides. It really is not worth the price. Read the reviews because most of the opinions are true of the park.

This was one of the few times I was disappointed in Hershey Park. Late in August is a bad time to go. The park seems understaffed, quite a few things were closed, limited concessions (many of what we like - Tower Fries, most of the slushy stations, several rides) and some of the staff did not seem engaged, almost grumpy.

We have been going to this park for decades and have never been more disappointed. Unless you can afford their expensive Fast Passes for your family, the lines are over an hour long and all of the "Fast Pass" people go in front of you over and over again.... this is extremely frustrating, especially with toddlers that are doing their best to wait in line. The workers are rude and unhelpful as well. Breaking with our longstanding tradition and taking the kids elsewhere from now on.... Knoebel's or Dutch Wonderland offer a more family-friendly experience and more affordable too!!

Went with a school group as part of Music in the Parks. We had about 7.5 hours over the course of one day. The rides were good-- excellent, even-- but there were *so* many places where management could have made the experience and the wait times better with very small changes.
[Insane lines, part 1]: Amusement parks always have long lines. And when you have a bunch of school groups visiting an amusement park all at once, then the lines will always be longer. We expected this. But we didn't expect but waiting over *3 hours* to ride one roller coaster when the app claimed it would be a 75 minute wait. And we didn't expect that the roller coaster car would roll out with empty seats and entirely empty rows at least 90% of the time. One time only 3 of the 12 or 14 seats filled, all whilst hundreds of us waited our turn in line. Seriously?! In the end, we were only able to ride 3 rides the entire day because of wait times, which doesn't seem worth the money.
I understand long wait times, but these could have been shortened dramatically by simply filling the cars to capacity each time. Management could change that policy at no cost to them, except perhaps the cost of retraining their staff.
[Insane lines, part 2]: Hershey has a cashless payment policy, so there are essentially reverse ATMs throughout the park for kids to put in their cash and receive a prepaid credit card in return. However, there was *at least* one machine not working at each location we tried to use. Because so many students were there, we were waited in lines 50+ people long for one working machine. I finally asked an employee for assistance and learned that the first machine was simply too full of cash to accept more. They needed to call an offsite company to have them empty the machine in order to make it functional again. When we passed by later, both machines were out of service. So apparently the company never came. In total, we waited for over an hour in lines just trying to convert cash to card. And this wasn't even a ride! It felt like an utterly useless waste of time.
Again, I am sure there was unusual pressure on these machines with so many students at the park. But Hershey hosts Music at the Parks events regularly. They should know by now that more students means that cash machines will need more frequent service. It might cost management a small fee, but it would surely pay off to schedule a cash pickup partway days when they are expecting particularly high attendance.
[Insane lines, part 3]: We also faced insane wait lines for food. The Chick-fil-A line, for example, was at least 100 people long every time we walked past. "Oh, that's nothing," a nearby employee told me. "It's usually way longer than that." People I know who frequent Hershey Park with their families told me the same story. My students waited at least 45 minutes in line before we had to give up because we were going to be late for the awards ceremony. Because outside snacks and food are not allowed, there seemed to be no other option. Luckily, I discovered during the ceremony that you could order food through the Hershey Park app. And luckily students could pay on my phone with their own cards. But this was not obvious from the outset, and only 3-4 restaurants even had an mobile ordering option. AND that orders could only be made through the Hershey app. In the future, we will not even attempt to stand in line for food. We will just schedule a pickup at one of the the few places who do mobile ordering.
If I were in management, I would look into making mobile ordering/kiosk orders more accessible or else increase the number of food vendors available. What about a cart selling fresh berries or apples? Or someone walking around selling carrots and hummus? Fresh fruits and vegetables just happen to be safe for a lot of folks with allergies, but at the end of the day even one of my non allergy students said, "Man. I just want some real food. Like something with vegetables or something." So this should appeal to more than just the food allergy crowd. And even if it wasn't healthy food, having access to additional vendors or additional ordering options would have made a big difference just in wait times.
[Inadequate signage]: At one point I saw centralized signs indicating that restrooms were available to both the left and right. But when I went in the pointed direction, I found no bathrooms and no further signs. After 15 minutes looking for the promised restrooms I started asking Hershey employees who happened to be nearby. None of the three I asked knew where the public restrooms were. I finally found a fellow chaperone who goes to Hershey every year, and she pointed me in the correct direction (she knew more than the employees?). The same thing happened while trying to find the Trailblazer ride. Luckily, the app helped us finally find the rides, but signage and employee training would go a long way in improving guests' ability to navigate the park.
[Housekeeping & maintenance needed]: Trash cans didn't seem to be emptied throughout the day, especially around the 1906 Grill. There guests piled trash on top of the full bins until the pile was nearly as high as the trash can itself. Once it became too precarious for even those piles, guests began piling trash next to the bins instead. One particularly brazen Canadian goose was pleased to have such ready access to discarded fries, but it was definitely a big mess. I asked my students to please carry their trash to some distant bins to avoid adding to the mess. But emptying the trash even once during the day would have solved the problem entirely.
There were also 1-2 empty soap dispensers in every bathroom we visited, especially towards the end of the day. There was a broken hand dryer in one bathroom, and toilet paper all over the floor in another. This felt emblematic of the park's general need for better housekeeping and maintenance. If, perhaps, this was just an issue on big days with student groups, then maybe they could hire one extra worker to do housekeeping on those high occupancy days. But this seems like a very easy problem to fix-- even one worker per shift on cleanup/housekeeping duty would have made a big difference.
[Food allergy options=sad]: I have a lot of food allergies. Normally I pack my own food, but I was told that Hershey absolutely does not let people bring their own food in. I ate a very high fiber, high protein breakfast in advance and prayed I could find something safe to eat. Luckily, the 1906 Grill happens to have two gluten free options on their menu. But it turned out to be a sad, overcooked beef patty on a spongy gluten free bun: no condiments, no lettuce, no tomatoes. I didn't trust the fries, knowing that they are usually fried in the same oil as the gluten breading on the chicken fingers. So I ordered a side salad-- the only other thing on the menu I *should* have been able to eat. Alas, all three available dressings contained propylene glycol, an ingredient that I am very allergic to. So I ate my rubbery patty with its cottony bun over my naked salad and mourned that this sad excuse of a meal had cost me almost $20. [To be fair, I learned afterwards that ketchup and mustard packs were available. That sure would have helped.]
Next time, I will do the same high protein, high fiber breakfast and just bring electrolyte packets + water to consume during the day. No food at all would have been better than what was available and safe for me to eat. Or management could try to get in something like a Jamba Juice/Robecks/acai bowl place so there are more solidly gluten free/allergy friendly options in general.
[Medical passes]: One girl in our group needed a medical pass for a recent knee surgery. It turned out that she was the only one allowed to use this pass, which meant that she waited alone at the exit for the rest of us to get through. It would have been easier if Hershey Park allowed people with medical passes to have one companion so they could at least use the buddy system.
It sounds like I am being harsh about the entire experience. There were a lot of issues, yes, but the rides really were excellent! As it stands, however, I would never visit this park with my own family. As fun as the rides were, they were just not worth the excessive wait time (or the excessive cost of a fast pass). And there were too many other maintenance details overlooked by management to make it a genuinely pleasant experience.

I love that park. Excellent to go with friends and family. Many attractions and activities typical of the area. Highly recommended.

I took my husband and his friend did Hershey Park for his 45th birthday. It was only a 3 day trip. We all traveled from NH specifically to go to Hershey Park. The first day there, several of the rides were closed. The refill water stations were not working. It was 90 +degrees. Since the refill station was not working, in order to stay hydrated you had to repeatedly buy bottles of water at $5-$6 depending on where you purchased them. They wanted $20 for spritzing fans. Which you needed because most of the rides either didn't have misters or they weren't working.
Pretty much the only thing that the ridiculously overpriced ticket got you was rides. Everything else was alacarte.
I bought 2 day passes for all three of us. Unfortunately the second day we were unable to return because I was horribly injured and had to be rushed to the er by ambulance. This injury was primarily to my face and legs. I am unable to currently communicate well. I sent an email explaining this and asked if there was anyway I could get a refund for the 2nd day of passes. Since I was physically unable to use them. I even offered to submit proof of the er visit and ambulance ride. I received a response that stated they do not refund tickets but the tickets I purchased were still good till January 2025. I don't know of any venue that requires tickets to not refund due to injury. We did visit the Hershey museum prior to my injury (It was a seperate fee as well). The impression given by the museum. This incident would have Mr. Hershey rolling over in his grave. Not worth the trip. Go to 6 flags. They atleast refund.

I have been going to Hersheypark since I was a child. Now that I have children of my own, we started bringing them. We are currently here now on Friday, June 7th and I just cannot believe how many rides we tried to go on that were temporarily closed down. Some had opened eventually, some had not. I came here to go on rides with my children, not to go for a walk. I could do that at home for free.
There are so many school groups that think nothing of shouting out random words like “penis” and loud screams with no consideration of my 6 year old standing next to me.
We went on the ride in Chocolate world and it seemed to have so many glitches from the chocolate being spit out of the pipes like it was clogged where it should have came out flowing. The roaster did not glow like it used to and you could not feel the heat.
Hersheypark wants to keep expanding and raising their prices but in my opinion they may want to take a few years off from doing that to fix what they have and clean it up a little. It is definitely going downhill when you look close.
It used to be a nice place for families but is now just seems to be getting greedy. Stop trying to be Disneyworld if you aren’t going to follow through.

Waste of money. Long lines, over an hour just to get in.. lines for rides were just as long..not a lot of signs or park attendants.

My favorite was stormchaser. Laff trak was also great. The bear was awesome and super dooper looper. Overall many great rides and well maintained. If you're in your thirties avoid the jolly rancher coaster but the new jolly rancher ride is cool. Wish they had more Hershey themed snacks but the fresh lemonade was good. I probably should've gotten the kettle corn instead of the regular popcorn.

Absolutely the worst do not waste your money half the rides were closed. The lines were two hours long for the big roller coasters was so crowded. You could barely move horrible horrible experience feel terribly ripped off.

First time visiting the park. I went with my girlfriend and another couple. They had been there almost 20 years ago, so it was completely new to them as well. This was the 3rd weekend they were open for the 2023 season. A week after Easter and spring break. Bought tickets and parking pass online to save some cash. Parked, rode the shuttle in, made it through the gate in about 10 minutes. Headed for candymonium, 30 minute wait. Got off and started walking further into the park. We got in line for the Reese’s shooting gallery ride and the sky’s opened up. It poured for probably 20minutes and I think it chased some of the crowd home early because the park emptied out drastically. We waited til they started operating again and were able to get on all the coasters within 5-10 minutes. And once you rode the coaster you could literally run out and run back in the line. They were also running additional trains on the coasters which helped. Least favorite coasters were sky rush and jolly rancher remix. The restraint system on skyrush needs revamped. It pins your waist in, but your upper body is free to be tossed and it feels like you’re going to fall off. Seats need bolsters added. Jolly rancher messed with my equilibrium when we rolled through the loops backwards. Overall everyone was pleased with the experience at the park. We would come back for another visit.

Very pleased with our visit over the holiday weekend. Our family likes coasters and loved the variety offered. Each family member had a different favorite. Make sure to buy parking online as it is $28 with fees versus $60 at gate. We are also glad we didn’t get the fast pass option as it wasn’t needed with a good plan. Make sure you get there before park open and go to back of park. We got 8 rides in within the first 2 hours of open. Also take advantage of Preview Plan where you get to access the park the night before for 2 or 3 hours depending on if you are staying offsite versus onsite. It was unbelievably hot this weekend (90s and humid) so it was nice that we could bring refillable water bottles and could refill at water fountains or get ice water at the fast food places. Since it was so hot the dry ride lines weren’t that bad. We did take advantage of the water park mid day to cool off. But the rides for any type of slide or water coaster were crazy long. Another tip is to get the all day dining pass as it was perfect for our family of 4 to get a meal and snack every 90 minutes. At $45 including fees it was a steal.

Plan to pay a lot of money but ride VERY few rides. The park is overcrowded and Hershey does not have good systems in place to keep the lines moving and minimize wait time. We spent almost the whole day standing in line even tho we arrived when the park opened. This is our experience BEFORE the summer rush. We won't be back for a long time or ever.

Recently went to Hershey with my 2 kids (ages 4 and 2) and a friend. We had a great time. We got there at 9:30 each morning and parked right next to the tram stop. We were very confused as to why everyone else was walking a mile to the entrance. Apparently people just see everybody walking so they walk too. So fyi, there are 2 tram stops that take you right to the entrance.
The park had plenty of rides for both kids. One was Reeses sized and one was below kisses. Even the little one had about 15 rides he could go on.
The place is huge and hilly so if you're out of shape it'll be really rough. According to the fitbit we did 17000 steps and the equivalence of 11 flights of stairs each day and we left at 3pm each day. The longest line for us was 45 min for the Monorail (which the staff were in nonrush to load or send off). We only did one roller coaster though (the Comet) and were on line by 10:10. That line was 15 min.
We recommend it as a fun place if you have little kids!

Hershey Park used to be a great family experience. But now that they’ve issued fast pass, it is only worthwhile if you pay the extra for the pass, at least for those who go on rides. If you don’t, the lines for rides are over two hours because they hardly let anyone from the regular line through. We stood in lines for over four hours for two rollercoasters. By that point the fast passes were 100 apiece due to surge pricing. So either buy your fast passes in advance and consider them part of the price or don’t bother. It also got a lot trashier and the service has suffered. Not the family park it used to be.

We did 2 days at Hershey Park. Loved the rides and Waterpark. Enjoyed the food trucks, especially Los Tres Cubanos for empanadas! Chocolate bars did taste super fresh and yummy. Downsides, the men's changing room called Tidal Force is one large room with NO privacy whatsoever. This is a situation waiting to happen. We did find another further back near Nathan's Hotdogs and the sand castle play area that had changing rooms. Hershey Park would do well to add changing stations to the all of their changing rooms. Also the wait times are significantly off on the HersheyPark app. Most times were at least double what was listed.

I received this trip to Hershey Park as gift from my wife and it would be the first time for both of us there. First the pros - The roller coasters are really good and really fun. There is good selection and variety of coasters to suit most tastes. Next, the park itself was really clean and well presented (though a little hard to navigate in areas).
Now the cons - The crowds! Holy cow the crowds were bad on the Saturday when we were there. You expect crowds at a theme park, but Hershey has no concept of occupancy limits. Thankfully for as crowded as it was, the majority of the people were nice and not rude. But trying to walk to your next ride at times was quite the challenge with the amount of people they let in. Next, the food. While there were plenty of fast food style quick service options within the park (long wait times!), there was only one sit down restaurant and that booked out really fast. They really need to add another full service place to eat. In addition, this leads me into my next issue, the park staff. The workers at the one sit down restaurant looked so over worked and their attitudes towards quests asking about being added to the wait list reflected that. Also, the majority of employees around the park acted like zombies simply going through the motions. This was clearly evident in the lack of any efficiency in the operation (loading / unloading) of the rides. Better management and/or training is really needed here. Lastly, the price. We paid for the regular park admission, like $100 for the two of us. We also paid for the fast track system to skip the lines. This cost an additional $375, plus the $25 dollars for one day of parking. At almost $500 for one day, not to mention they didn't open until noon, is really steep. But after seeing the horribly long wait times for everything, it proved to be a good investment. If I was given the chance to go again and I couldn't use this fast track system as it can sell out, I don't think I would. You simply wouldn't have enough time to ride.
Overall our time in the park was fun, but it came at a pretty high price and if you have issues with insane amounts of people in sometimes small walkways, this might not be a good time for you. This place has the potential to be really good, but the Hershey Co. really needs to hire better mangers to run this place.

So many coasters! Skyrush and Wild Cats Revenge were our favorites. Definitely use the app. to check wait times. Zoo America is a nice mid day rest and reset. Park was very clean and easy to navigate. Great experience for the admission cost.

Went for candy cane lane- Waste of money. The park hosted a giant marching band competition with half their rides shut down for the season, so the lines for everything were awful. We paid over $200 to get on two rides. If they are going to host a huge festival that draws in that many people, they should do it while all the rides are still operating.

It’s a good park but the weekend crowds and price gauging made it far less enjoyable.
Every significant ride had at least a 60 minute wait. Some had more than 2 hour waits. And the app was really outdated and inaccurate. Wait times were way off (then sometimes they’d disappear) then suddenly a 30 minute wait became 105.
The price gauging was extra awful. Water for $4.50 a bottle. No food prep needed.
The fast pass thing was particularly troubling. For $180 on top of the ticket price you could skip lines all day. And the rides held open seats just in case someone might fast pass. Many rides were only 80-85% full with a 90 minute wait. Other parks have a singles line instead. Some folks who don’t care about riding together can skip part of the line to fill in every seat. And that makes the general line move faster too.
We love the idea of Hershey but will probably skip it unless there’s a school or sports trip. (We came for the Green Day concert, which was postponed).

Crowded to the point if evacuation was needed it would be life threatening, 1hr plus wait times, waited 20 minutes in line for paid for 21 dollar refill cup, they handed me a empty cup. I then had to go to a refill center and wait in another 20 minute line, got up and it was out of ice. Very very dissapointed

I visited Hersheypark with friends just before the fall semester kicked off, and we had an enjoyable time riding coasters and the Ferris wheel. It just didn't really fit my expectations, as I go to amusement parks less for the adrenaline and more for the theming and storytelling. While Hersheypark delivered on its roller coasters, there is no consistent storyline like there is in Disney World, nor is there particularly good food or even satisfactory customer service. Still, if you like chocolate, you would probably enjoy yourself more than I did.

Fun day at Hersheypark. However, lot of rides weren’t running. Granddaughters favorite ride (this was a birthday trip) was closed and has been closed for months ☹️. We get to the front of the line after 30 minute wait and young man closes the ride. Was told there was an “emergency “. The ride was running fine . And the last thing ~ a bottle of water 4.50???? 🤨
Thank goodness my grandkids are easy going !
Come on Hershey do better! When you pay $50+ for a ticket there shouldn’t be garbage in the grasses, closed rides and young men shutting down rides for no reason.

This is our 2nd trip as season ticket holders. 1st we brought our young niece/nephew. I had a printed receipt proving our payment. When we went through the entrance we were stopped b/c it didn't show a QR code. It meant we had to go back in the ticket line and wait until a supervisor could get us a code. An hour wasted.
A few days ago we took our two-twin 4 year old grandkids. They were with us. Had evidence they were 4 [five or less for free tickets], but b/c we didn't have a birth certificate or passport we had to pay ~$90. We were shown the fine print...no bold, no larger font. Who the crap needs a birth certificate/passport to enter an amusement park. Not needed for even getting on a plane.
Next, several rides were shut down, only ran 1 monorail [their app said 10 minute wait, it was 45 min], the 25$ souvenir cup had to be refilled a certain locations where there was no ice [after noon], 2 out of 3 machines didn't work, a hot dog was 10$ [the best deal there], I will never go back again.

this is a review specifically of the water park cabanas. pricey, parking not included, neither is food. but if you take a group and split the cost it's worth a lazy day of fun! free towels you keep, free water and soda. they cater meals (and booze... you can keep the bucket!). front row private on and off lazy river access. the lazy river has both tubes and comfy floating chairs. you get a cabana with a fridge, table and 4 chairs, and 2 recliners. a nice oasis in a busy amusement park.

I visited Hersheypark with fonder memories of previous visits. This visit, however, was rather lackluster. I purchased a Fast Track (or whatever its called) in advance, assuming it would be a crowded day. However, there were no lines at any attraction all day. Good on them for having an efficiently run park, but I felt a bit scammed. It literally saved me no time. I raised this with Guest Services hoping for some compensation if not a full refund (meal vouchers or something), but instead got nothing. They did not listen to my experience at all and just went to the no refund company line. Ziggy, the supervisor, was particularly unsympathetic and had no customer service skills. They'd rather keep a little extra money and make you feel ripped off than provide some level of empathy. He wasn't the only employee with no customer service. Another ride had two employees loudly talking about how they want a storm to shut the park down so they could go home. A locker employee was yelling at guests about loose articles rather than simply talking to people about the rules. On the plus side, the park was efficient as mentioned and the collection of rides is large. The stand out rides are Candymonium and Wildcat's Revenge. Everything else is fairly average. I would not purchase Fast Track in advance. Wait until the day of and see if it is needed. If you can only pick one park in the area, I recommend Knoebel's far more than here.

Went to Chocolate World and down the hill to a gift shop. Tried to buy a small item but was told they don't take cash, so we left without it. Not into a cashless society.
Otherwise, we had a nice time. In the past, it was always fun seeing or trying out the new candy bars and flavors and going through the ride.

Very nice Park has many kid rides and if you love Roller coasters this is a great place for you. On Bucket List for over 30 years. I loved the 5 man band that walks around the park. Take a water bottle with you as you can fill them up at fill up stations. (Free Water). Would have loved to go to the water park.

It was very hot and sticky outside the day my wife and I went for a visit. There were too many people to count there around us. We rode one ride and called it quits. Hersheypark is just not cutting it for me anymore. The one big thing that I really didn't like was your drink does not come free with your all day eating pass like it does at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

The best part was learning more about chocolate. We learned how the chocolate candy process was started and how it developed into what we have today.

We’ve gone to Hershey Park every year at Christmastime for 16 years. Our last trip in Dec 22 will be our last. The new Santa photo set, while understandable for Covid protocols, is awkward and doesn’t make for nice photos. The price has increased significantly while the lights and decorations have gone downhill. Fewer rides were open than ever. Our kids are older now and it’s just changed so much it’s not worth the price of admission.

I’m in Hershey park I expect a good hot chocolate. Not from a giant water cooler that dispenses into a cup

The good: Water park (even at the back of the park) is accessible through the amusement park. The bad: Whether it's the amusement or the water park, lines are incredibly long. Food lines move fast though, and there's lots of amusement rides for the littles. The water park also has two kids' areas as well as a wave pool that one can cool off in without having to wait in line. Don't buy an overpriced locker - you can leave your gear at your chair, and there was plenty of them even on a busy, hot summer day. Bring a wagon because lugging that bag to the other side of the park can be cumbersome (and save money on renting a stroller!) Buying a $20 souvenir cup with either free refills that day or 94 cent refills saves money. Even when the park closes, the souvenir shop and Chocolate World are frequently open for at least an hour afterward, so save your souvenir buying until then.

All the roller coasters except Laff Track were closed due to lighting in the general viscosity of 10 miles. Could not see a cloud in the sky. Not a drop of rain.

Don't go to the Halloween Dark Night event! We went on Saturday, October 8, 2022. It was so incredibly overcrowded. The wrist bands did not scan right, the staff didn't know how to fix them, the staff didn't know where the haunted houses were, food lines were 40 people deep, EVERY ride had waits of 90-120 minutes. Our family of 8 wasted $900. Save your time and money.

The rides were fantastic. The grounds smelled like homeless people lived there, the grounds were not very clean, garbage cans over flowed. The workers were pleasant.

It's an amusement park. What else is there to say? We rode rides and exhausted ourselves in the heat. If I had one complaint, it would be the "all day drink" cup deal. We had prepaid for ours. The vendor cart just inside the gate was out of the cups (but still standing there with the cart open as if he had them to hand out/sell). Then about half of the refill machines around the park were out of order.

I recently visited Hershey Park and let me tell you, it was hotter than Satan's sauna in there. And don't even get me started on the lines - I think I aged 10 years waiting for the roller coaster. That’s my fault though I couldn’t afford the price of the fast pass and they wouldn’t accept a kidney in exchange
But amidst all the chaos, there was a shining light in the form of the young men providing live music throughout the park. These guys were like a breath of fresh air, lifting spirits and making the unbearable heat somewhat bearable. They were so talented and energetic, they definitely deserve a raise. Who needs a roller coaster when you can just jam out to these guys all day? Hershey Park, take note - these guys are the real MVPs..

To say I’m disappointed is an extreme. We arrived at the park at open. First ride I tried I was removed for being “too fat” (I am 5”6’ 230 pounds). Now I’m all for safety. But I’ve been to kings island, cedar point, Disney, and Dollywood with zero problems. I’m obviously under the 300 pound max they have. So then we try skystormer - I can fit but my husband cannot (a bigger belly but well under 300 pounds). Then we wait in line for the “30 minute wait” jolly ranchers remix. It was actually almost two hours. We rode that (our only ride) headed to grab some food. Every line was an hour and a half wait if you had the all day meal deal (but those without the deal looked just as long). At this point we decide to leave. Of the six and a half hours at the park we waited in lines for four hours. This is ridiculous. I will never return. And honestly that makes me really sad.
The best part was the additional 30 dollars we paid at Hershey world to make candy bars and that’s not even connected with the park. Do that and the free tour instead!

Over priced & filled with trashy people who think this place is "fancy". It's an VERY overpriced amusement park & is cashless. Don't forget your credit card, if you do they make you buy a prepaid card to use in the park & it cannot be reloaded. Nothing downtown is open past 8pm so if you think about leaving the park to go eat, go early & be prepared to wait HOURS.

My husband & I were there for July 3 & 4, 2023. We had a awesome time & the fireworks were a exciting display… We purchased annual passes. It’s by far the best deal for your $$. Lots of freebies & a free ticket for a family member. The parking for pass holders is perfect! We r handicapped but the preferred parking was the best. I have been going to Hersheypark since for 50 years! I highly recommend for couples & families…

It is far too crowded to be enjoyable. Wait times are ridiculous, and it’s beyond frustrating to see people who paid through the nose for a fast pass skip ahead. However, if you want to go on more than a couple rides I would suggest buying it.

If possible, avoid going on Saturday or Sunday during the summer. There are 3x-4x the amount of people than the weekdays. Rides are at least a 90 minute wait and the park is way overcrowded. Even getting food is a 30-45 minute wait.

My wife, granddaughter and I had a good time at the park. I few issues were the wait times were NOT correct on the app. The app was good to find things in the park.
We ate at The Chocolatier; service was great, food was not bad. The chicken on the nachos was dry and needed more cheese toppings.
It was our first time to the park; will go again after getting to know the layout better.

Go on a week day - no lines except at the Boardwalk (water park) and roller coaster
Zoo is included (very small with up and down walking)
Plenty of rides for young and old
Walking issues: Lots!!! of up and down hills and all concrete. We spend 9 hrs there and even the 10 yr olds complained about sort legs 4 days after going.
Boardwalk: We spent $18 for a small locker and rode 1 ride before told everyone had to leave for lightning (skies were perfect). We left since we had to dress and leave the section and figured we had no clue how long we would have to wait.
FastPass: ONLY worth it for roller coaster and all Boardwalk
Food: The all day meal is nice but we only bought a bucket of fries to share and refilled water all day at water stations (cold too). So we only spent $10
Parking $20 and get there early for less walking. There are shuttles that help but you have to get to them and some parking is not close.

I am not a chocolate fan whatsoever. Luckily, my displeasure for chocolate does not carry over to chocolate and candy themed rides.
Hershey has the cute little kid rides as well as a decent selection of more intense roller coasters. I appreciate the variety as my stomach does not do well with too many coasters normally yet I'm able to enjoy most of this park.
There are plenty of other games to explore. There are more food options than just candy and chocolate. It is fairly easy to navigate. Finally, admission includes access to ZooAmerica if you need a ride break.
Overall, I find Hersheypark to be a good value in the theme park world and would recommend a visit!

I would give zero stars if I could because this trip was a complete waste of money. The park itself was just fine but the staff is robotic and brainless. So here is our story…I am a single mother and was taking my 12yr old son and his friend on a special trip to Hersey park. We went on October 11th for the Halloween production. My son wanted to warm up on some smaller rides so we started at the bumper cars and went back toward the entrance to hit the first coaster. The coaster had a long wait and it had started to drizzle, so we decided to enter the gift shop and get that done first and then the park would start to get dark and hopefully quit drizzling. We went into the gift shop with a whole herd of people and didn’t think twice, until we wanted to enter back into the park. Unbeknownst to us first timers, the gift shop is considered outside the park (which is dumb on its own). As we were explaining our mistake to the attendant, several other people and groups came up to the exit/entrance doors back to the park, having committed the same mistake. The girl handling the doors became flustered and realizing that there was no staff manning that entrance warning patrons that this was considered and exit with no entry back into the park without a hand stamp, quickly left and started turning unknowing patrons around to get stamped at the other gift shop entrance. When security came to handle the crowd waiting at the doors, they informed everyone to go back to the gates and present their tickets and they could get back into the park. Well that was fine for most but I had bought my tickets from a coworkers daughters school through a sale. My tickets were paper and I had thrown them out upon entry and asking the attendant if I would need them again and she said no. I didn’t want the papers getting mixed up in my pockets with my credit cards and ID. I tried to explain what happened and you would think with about 15 other people there at the same time, who did the same thing, the attendants would use common sense and let us back through. I even showed the security guard that I had bought meal tickets for all of us. Finally my cousin who was with us, said she remembered the lady who took our tickets and maybe she would remember us, since I had asked her if I could throw the tickets out. Me, using common sense knew that there was no possible way that ticket lady would ever remember us. By this point every other person who had made the same mistake was long gone and the fact that there was no one at the door had been remedied and it just looked like me, the kids, and my cousin were the only ones who had made this mistake. The ticket attendant of course didn’t recognize us and they were going to throw us out of the park with only riding the bumper cars. Thats when my cousin looked in the trash can, seeing that it wasn’t too overfilled or gross, asked if we could dig to find the thrown out tickets. At this point there was two managers there and the guy manager said he wasn’t digging in it and left (we did’t ask him too in the first place). The female manager stayed and stared as we dug through the trash. I kept saying to my cousin as we were digging that the tickets were not a full sheet of paper and they were folded together. So picture it, two lady’s digging in the trash while two kids who only rode the bumper cars stared at us praying that we adults could fix this. Finally we found the 4, 1/4 sheets of paper tickets and as I pulled them out in relief and handed them to the manager, that smug B&*^% had the audacity to ask me, “and what time did you get to the park. I looked at the security guard and he too couldn’t believe that she would ask that. Clearly they were our tickets.she had a smirk that I wanted to slap off her face. I had spent hundreds of dollars on this trip only to deal with this, and I dug through the trash tossing other tickets aside to find mine. Seeing only red, I couldn’t even put our arrival time into my brain, but luckily my cousin could and did. Reluctantly the manager said, fine you can go in. What a royal B$*/=. If I would not have gotten back into the park, I had already decided to boycott all Hersey products for the rest of my life which admittedly would have sucked, but I am stubborn like that.
Bottom line I made a mistake, but the people at the park should have and could have used common sense and seen the situation for what it was. There was no one at the station to warn patrons that that was an exit only without a stamp. Why isn’t the exit to the gift shop the exit to the park? Thats how it is at every other theme park, Disney, Universal, Dollywood. This wasn’t my first park rodeo.
Anyway, to any readers. Be forewarned not to make any mistakes at Hersey. The staff is robotic without common sense. The meal tickets online are also a rip off. At most places, one ticket will feed 2 people, save your money.

Been going to Hershey for Christmas for two decades. Prices went up and hours were cut during the pandemic, but it was still enjoyable. Our 2022 trip- not so much.
Only one coaster was open and the line was over 2 hours. The kiddie ride lines were about 45 mins each. The hot chocolate stand lines 1.5hrs. Santa and the reindeer each had a line that the app was listing as 2 hours long. I could hear that the other guests were equally irritated as this wasn't the experience previous years. Couldn't complain to Guest Services because- you guessed it- the line again was ridiculous. Just not a great experience with our friend group who had kids aged infant to 13. Decided to leave after 4 hours in the park when the kids had only gone on 2 kiddie rides. The only food we were able to get without waiting over an hour was popcorn.
Exiting the park with young kids was scary. We were literally shoulder to shoulder with people (who were also complaining about how crowded it was). Had one person panicked or picked a fight with another- there would've been a real issue because of the pinch point created by their walkways at the front of the park.
Wrote to Hershey when we got home and they apologized that our trip wasn't "sweet" and told us they hoped we'd enjoy it more next time. Unfortunately, after being out the cost of gas, lodging, parking, and (increased) ticket prices.... our group decided there won't be a next time.

I have been there many times with my family and this was my fiance's first time. They are not very handicapped friendly. We rented the motor scooter and had to walk such a long way to get on the chocolate ride. At Disney they let you bring scooter to the entrance and get on. When we went to monorail there was no one at the entrance and again he had to walk to the top to find out that we could have driven the scooter to the top. Would have been nice to have a notice telling you that at the entrance. There should be a special price for people who do not ride anything (we are both over 70 and he's a disabled vet). Found it very expensive a nd some not so friendly staff. Won't be going back. Such a shame as I have great memories there.

Went on a a school trip and came here for our last stop before going home. The rides were fun, and the lines were 30 minutes at most. It seemed like every employee didnt know how to smile, not even slightly, and some were rude. Each student was given a free lunch ticket to eat, but the places we wanted to eat at didnt even accept them, and we had to pay for it ourselves. When walking into the park, apparently your supposes to get a stamp on your arm, which I did not get. So when trying to leave the Hershey shop, I wasn't allowed back inside the park. I had to wait outside the park until our group was getting ready to leave. Ladies at the gate were nice and I got to talk to them for a little bit. Luckily my friends were able to get my luggage I had in the park. Despite all the hiccups, it was a fun time, 7/10.

This was our first year as season pass holders, and probably our last. We came several times this season, and every time was a disappointment. Hersheypark is overcrowded and understaffed. I have always loved going to Hersheypark, but the last 2 years have made it impossible to enjoy. Some rides are not open, due to staff shortages. The ones that are open, have one person running them, and the long lines move extremely slow. Our experience at the restaurants were the same, extremely long lines, that move extremely slow.

Long line standing in the hot sun. The park feels very over packed so when you buy your $10/slice pizza there isn’t a place to sit. There isn’t much around I get it, but every time I’m here I wonder why I didnot drive
The 13hrs to Florida.

Terrible experience. We have looked forward to visiting Hershey park for the first time. I had hoped the recent reviews were not going to be ours as well, but unfortunately they were dead on. If you are going to charge these prices then provide an experience that matches. Start with providing trolleys from the expensive parking. Next, buy some fans and misters for the extremely long lines. And finally work on the food service, it should not take 1 1/2 hours to grab already prepped food and the servers attitude’s…wow just be nice. Unfortunate and very disappointing.

went to park with my family. it was great. nice amount of rides. son loved the roller coasters all of them. will come back.

Our family went to Hershey Park on August 19 and the experience was horrific. My twin boys are autistic and when we go to Hershey Park we always get the Accessibility Pass. Even with the accessibility pass there are certain stipulations that the user must follow and we always make sure to read them carefully. After we left the Boardwalk, we decided to put our sons onto a few rides before heading toward the restaurant for our dinner reservation. My husband and father went with my sons to the Cocoa Cruiser rollercoaster and I noticed that one of the rider operators was being rude to my husband. Not only did he speak in a disrespectful manner to my husband but he was also nasty to my sons. What kind of human being thinks that it's okay to speak rudely to two children that have autism. When the supervisor was called over, the only thing he did was make excuses for the rude ride operator not allowing my children to ride again on the ride. The supervisor was so incompetent that he couldn't answer any of my questions about the accessibility pass consecutive rides policy at all and was just plain dismissive because he couldn't be bothered. One of my sons was so traumatized by the incident that he was trembling and asked, "Why doesn't he like me and my brother?" I was left speechless and calmed my sons down. As we left to head toward Guest services to make a formal complaint, we noticed that they were laughing about the situation which my husband recorded onto his cellphone. We went to Guest services, filled out the formal complaint, and spoke with 2 more female supervisors who were full of more excuses. We were told by the supervisors that some riders had good days and bad days. This only made me even more disgusted because no one was being held accountable. One of the supervisors said that he would be spoken to and they would do some coaching. What!!?? What happened to treating others with respect and treating children with special needs with dignity? We were also told that on Wednesday or Thursday we should receive a phone call by another supervisor. Never received a phone call and when we went to Hershey Park on our last day of our 2 day ticket; we spoke with another supervisor who was clueless. This visit was so traumatic for my sons that they didn't even want to see the Cocoa Cruiser ride so we avoided the area entirely. Don't waste your money or your time at this place because they don't care about their customers or the kids. No parent or child of the Special Needs Community should go through this traumatic experience. Avoid this place at all costs!

Great mid-sized park! It has something for everyone and is pretty affordable compared to large chain Amusement parks.

Even in the off season (December) many of the rides were open and the staff was friendly & accommodating. Definitely not cheap but utilize the app to check out ride times and have fun. Plenty of rides for kids of all ages.

I visited the park in December just a few days before Christmas I took my son to see the Christmas lights,Santa and the reindeers. However it wasn't what I thought or expected. I thought there would be more lights, more decorations, and something more festive. The line to see the reindeer was long and we weren't able to touch the reindeers, we just took pictures of them but not a close experience like we had in another reindeer's farms.

Been season pass holders for 2 seasons.
For one night (Oct. 21, 2022), we decided to go have a date night (sans our little) and attend Dark Nights (limited park hours). We didn't know that our preferred parking would be limited bc of an ongoing event (we weren't notified) so we parked back by the RV lot ...
We purchased the add on dark nights pass ($20 each on top of season pass, but only went on one haunted attraction) , and with a limited sitter time, also bought fast passes ($50 each on top of season passes) for the participating roller coasters. We decided this because some coasters had only one car loading at a time and we wanted to maximize our time. We road Fahrenheit, getting on in 10 min. Road Remix with a 20ish min wait. We tried to get on Laff trak, but after 15 min in the fast lane, not moving, it closed (we couldn't get on again bc we already nscanned our wrist band).
We next tried storm runner, which had one car running. We were funneled to the back of car line (after being in line for 15 min). We were cut off from riding bc at least 10 riders had disability passes. Now, we are advocates for families with disabilities. That's not the issue. What we were upset about is that when we were cut off from accessing not worth the extra $100. So, We went straight to guest services where there was no line, but they still made us wait 15-20 for the manager to come down and say " we can't refund you".
It was by far the worst experience of our many combined decades of going.
We will skip the park and get pool passes next year.

We had a fantastic time at Hersheypark! We also loved Chocolate World! The coasters were so much fun, and it was great to go to the lazy river and relax after a fun day of riding Coasters. The lifeguards were amazing! They were well focused and well trained! We were very impressed with them. There were three saves at the wave pool while we were there. Great job lifeguards! We cannot wait to return to this amusement park with our grandkids one day. It is super fun!

We arrived at noon with a 2 and 5 year old and were very disappointed that all but one of ride was closed in their height groups (Hersey Kiss & Reese’s Height). We were told was due to staffing issues. We were able to do the carnival style games; however, these all cost us money and were not included in our ticket purchase. Initially the park offered us tickets to come back another day, but thankfully we were able to receive a full refund as we were not taking the long drive again to use new passes.
Several other families we spoke to that day had the same experience and were very disappointed. This information was not posted on their website to inform us before our trip. Also, on the app, it noted several of the toddler rides were open but then when we walked to these rides they were in fact closed. The entire day felt very bait and switch and while we are grateful for the refund, don’t want others to have to navigate disappointed children who were expecting a day of rides at the park!

This was our first visit to Hershey Park. The park itself was nice and clean. The kids enjoyed the water park. My 15 and 10 year old daughters had a very uncomfortable and inappropriate interaction with a ride operator on the free fall tower. He allowed my 10 year old to get on the ride but stopped my 15 year old telling her she was “too cute” and “could talk to (him) instead”. He continued to question her about who she was with and asking her to point out her sister and my husband. She told him she was only 15 and he told her she was “old enough “. He let her on the ride at the last minute but she was very uncomfortable after that so we left. I notified Hershey and they contacted me right away but they will not disclose any information other than that they are investigating what happened. Years ago I would have probably brushed it off but definitely not in today’s world. I’m not sure that we will be back.

Horrible park experience. Paid over $250 for my family’s tickets, spent 5 hours in the park, and only got to ride 3 rides!!! The lines/queues are so mismanaged with the fast pass/fast track program. Us ‘regular patrons’ are stuck standing in lines for HOURS while the people who pay upwards of $100 more PER TICKET for the fast pass get to stroll right onto the ride with no wait at all. What about my family and my children? I paid money to be at the park too and should have the opportunity to ride more than a small handful of rides.
It’s ridiculous and sad that Hershey caters to the extremely wealthy. It would have cost me almost $1000 to get fast passes for my family. This is HERSHEY PARK, not Disney World!!!!
Also signage is lacking in general inside and outside the park. We couldn’t identify where the lines were for some of the rides, and in the parking area it was a mess too with exit signs not posted in enough areas. I also prepaid for a parking ticket for no reason, because no one ever even checked for it!
My advice - go to Knoebels, or just may as well go to Disney bc it costs about the same amount!

One of my favorite amusement parks. We did Hersheys 's first ever Dark Nights. They had come up some great haunted house for their premier Dark Nights. Will definately go again the following year.

My 13 year old son is a roller coaster enthusiast and for the past 3 years we have taken an annual road trip into the U.S. from Canada to try out the coaster lineup at different parks. Hershey has been on his wish list for a long time and it was a very pretty, clean and safe park with lots of great coasters to choose from (our favourites being Wild Cat's Revenge, Storm Runner, Sky Rush, and Fahrenheit). Parking and entry to the park are seamless and convenient, with the ability to come 2 hours before closing the night before you go to preview the park for free. The park is hilly and laid out in a way that's pretty confusing, but eventually you'll get where you want to go. The dining options are good, although I wouldn't say as good as Cedar Point. Their flagship restaurant, the Hershey Chocolatier, wasn't very good at all, and their ride operations are very poor, with lines moving slowly, and staff aren't particularly friendly or helpful. If you're comparing it to a park like Cedar Point, it loses in this category in a very obvious way. We were lucky to go during a slow week, so we never waited longer than 20 minutes for any ride, but on a busy day I can only imagine how long the wait times get. In the case of Wild Cat's Revenge, it's no fault of the ride operators that this ride moves slowly, because they don't have a metal detector security checkpoint like Steel Vengeance does at Cedar Point, so they're dealing with people trying to sneak things on to the ride in their pockets, zippered or otherwise, and having to continuously evacuate the train for these people. If you go, definitely hit the back of the park first for rides on Wild Cat, Fahrenheit and Storm Runner, then work your way forward to finish with Candymonium when the lines subside (everyone tends to go their first). We also fell in love with the East Coast donut truck, particularly their donut-battered deep fried oreo cookies. It's definitely worth visiting once, but I don't see us making the trip back the same way we will to other theme parks in the U.S. that have won us over for their superior ride offerings, theming and ride ops.

I’m a plus size mom who carries most of my weight in hip/butt/thighs. Nothing is more embarrassing than waiting in line and then not being able to close the ride restraints, and doing the walk of shame with a crying child or disappointed child that mommy can’t go but daddy can! The rides were clearly marked about warnings for restraint systems and had practice seats out front, that allows you to fit test before waiting in line. I will give my opinions on the coasters I did.
1: Comet: slightly snug at hips but squeeze in & suck it in! Lol old wooden coasters are a rough ride
2: Sooper Dooper Looper: Fit with no issues, forgot how smooth of a ride it was.
3: Jolly Rancher Remix: it has a “double” harness over the shoulder, very restrictive but fit, ride was rough and jarred my neck in reverse, the harness pinched my arms & left bruises
4: Skyrush: Fit no issues, ride was crazy fun!
5: Storm Runner: Fit no issues, Fabulous ride!
Needless to say, I was worried but didn’t have to be, I fit, it was fun & glad we went!!

Mixed reviews. The park is huge with a lot to do and see and roller coasters that come close to what you see at Cedar Point. It's been well over 30 years since I went to an amusement park or rode a roller coaster but I wanted to just go and have fun. My issue is with Hershey Park everything seems to be about how much they can make off of people. $25 just to park your car to go to their park!! No handicap spaces available, even in the season pass parking area. They charge you an admission fee for you to come to their amusement park and spend money, but also an extra $25 to park before getting in? Greedy if you ask me. Over $5 for a soda at a machine or at one of the eating places like Subway Sandwich. You can pay about $20 and get unlimited drinks all day but you need to provide a cup or souvenir glass of your own. I know parks do charge higher rates and people expect to pay more for food there, but that is kind of high compared to other parks and zoo's I've been to. $18 just to rent a small locker for the day.. I road my first coaster in 30 years, the Comet, and it was my last. I've ridden and enjoyed the tallest and fastest coasters in the world when they came out in the 80's, 90's and Cedar Point's Millennium but I'm now too old and overweight with issues to ride any. The selection of coasters is great but I wasn't prepared for walking up and down through high and low points in the park. If you have issues walking or knee and ankle problems, consider renting a scooter but expect to pay a lot for them. You can get a line jumper pass for around $100 to $150 or more depending on if you want to jump the line for just one coaster or multiple coasters. I've never thought line jump or fast pass tickets were fair. Just one more way for a park to make a lot of money on top of the fees you pay just to park and get in. The lower income family who saves all year to be able to take their kids here on a one day trip once a year and they have to wait 2 hours in line for one ride because others paid extra to jump in front of them. Not right in my book. Everyone regardless should wait their turn in line and not be so privileged to jump in front of everyone else because they paid an extra fee to do so. There are lots of places to eat with good variety, Also lots of restrooms throughout the park. I was lucky that it was overcast and a light breeze with temps around 74 degrees when I went, especially after I found out back home the temperature was 99 degrees. Some rides were closed but that was OK for me. I did enjoy the zoo although it was small and not what I consider a regular zoo. It is free with your paid park admission or you can pay just to go through the zoo and not the park. Personally, I'd say this is a great way to spend the day if you are younger and have kids or teenagers. Older folks in their 60's and 70's may not find as much to do, especially if they have handicap or walking issues. Check their website for any special rates before going. I saved $5 on parking and got a senior discount by pre-paying for tickets months ahead of time. Also check weekly for their hours. Just 2 weeks prior to my being there the park closed at 10pm. My day they closed at 7pm as it was later in the month of August on the 23rd..

We normally give Hershey Park a better review but to be honest we were somewhat disappointed for this visit. We went to Hershey Park over the Labor Day weekend, from Sept 1 - Sept 4 2023. What was most disappointing was all the rides that were not operating during our visit. I am not sure if this was a staffing issue or what but there were numerous rides not operating over the Labor Day weekend. Trailblazer was down the entire time we were there with no apparent reason. The Sky View was not operating nor was the ferris wheel. You would think over a holiday weekend like Labor Day, Hershey would strive to ensure all their family friendly rides would be up and running. There was never any explanation as to why rides were down. Trailblazer has been down for the past few weeks to a month. We constantly checked prior to going and it always said it was temporarily closed.
The Jolly Rancher Remix, we thought was a new coaster only to find out that it was simply the old Snake Eyes coaster reimagined, basically painted bright colors but still the same old roller coaster. The new Jolly Rancher ride was pretty cool. My wife used to love Fahrenheit rollercoaster, it was her favorite until she road Wildcat's Revenge and now that is her favorite rollercoaster at the park. She really enjoyed the new hybrid wooden and steel coaster.
I will say a plus is that Hershey Park makes sure there are plenty of refilling stations throughout the park where you can get ice and water to refill water bottles. That was nice, especially during the very hot days of Labor Day.
Overall, we had a decent time, not the best we have had at Hershey. We are season pass holders and have been for many years and while we have gone on other occasions and have witnessed rides shut down, this time it seemed there were more rides not operating than normal.
We plan on going back for the Halloween events as well as during the Christmas season. Hopefully they will be back up and operating all the rides we enjoy so much.

Very disgruntled trip 2 hours and a half to be in the famous water park and is closed by a storm and here not even started to rain 😩

OMG!! This was the worst decision I have ever made when visiting a theme park. Apparently, there was a bring a friend day or weekend I’m not sure but this was a HORRIBLE STAY/VISIT/EXPERIENCE! Our children only had the opportunity to get on 5 rides due to the long wait lines. A COMPLETE waste of money!! Getting water and drinks were even worse. BEWARE… Hershey does not offer refunds.

The parks seems well laid out, but well -placed maps showing where you are would be helpful to this senior. The map on the app just wasn't helpful to me. My young grandkids did enjoy the rides, and there were enough kiddie rides available.

We had a Family Fun Day bringing a bus of 54 people ages 6 months to 75 years to the park. The 2 hour bus ride was awesome until we arrived and had to park very far from the entrance and it was 93 degrees. I’m the 75 and I did purchase a riding cart but it took me a couple of hours to get myself together to do the park and we got there at 11 am. Then I purchased the fill it drink and I get the refill time, but the refill drink was tasteless or no ice. Sadly one of our family members who purchased a riding cart got overheated and passed out and the medical staff was excellent and they took them back to the bus. My sister and I tried to wait for the one handicap ride to the bus but they said it would be a while and the bus had to leave so we walked back to the bus. You have the tram taking guests close to their car areas but no concern for a bus of 54 paid guests plus we had family drove from VA to join us. You need to rethink the bus parking I don’t see why the bus can’t let you off then park as that’s what car parkers. Well that’s the reason for my 2 stars and personally paid for 37 tickets

To be clear we went for their 2022 Dark Nights. Operations on September 24 seemed to be highly disorganized. I have no basis for comparison to regular operations as this was our first and probably last trip to the park. Every roller coaster line was packed with waits of 2 hours plus. Not wanting to spend an additional $100 per ticket for fast pass we made it on exactly one ride with a line time of just over 90 minutes. That was just the disappointing amusement park aspect of things. Now for Dark Nights.
Save your time and hard earned dollars and just don’t. I sounded like a good idea but in practice it was just a wildly disjointed, underwhelming, and most importantly not the least bit frightening experience ever. Take away the family friendly nature of things the lines even with the added Dark Nights Fast pass we’re ridiculous. There was not enough staff to direct people and lines became a jumbled mess. As for signs or directions to the pitiful haunts they were very poorly done. People could be seen left right and center throughout the park trying to figure out where things were looking at these poorly designed maps. Special event food items were also hidden with little to no signage. And scare actors, one maybe two per “scare zone” and about on par with a box store costume and makeup.
In long winded smart phone types summation avoid disappointing your child/children and just avoid it. Take them to chocolate world, it’s free, and way more entertaining.

Disappointed. We went last August and were unhappy with the shortened hours and long wait times for rides. But in the spirit of the holidays we decided to give the park another go and we are done. I wish we had read the more recent reviews that show Hershey Park is on a decline in customer satisfaction. Still waited too long for rides- many 2 hours, and not all of the holiday lights were on. The place was packed and the park was unprepared. Sad to say, it is not the sweetest place on earth anymore.

This was the fourth time I had been to Hersheypark as Hersheypark is one of my favorites and it was great. I only went on Candymonium this time since I was very short on time, but rides like Sky Rush, Farenheight, and Great Bear are also great. There are many food options such as Starbucks, Moe’s, and Nathan’s just to name a few. I also recommend going Hershey’s Chocolate World right next to the park. I highly recommend spending the day at Hersheypark.

I was really disappointed with our recent visit to Hersheypark for the Halloween event. The park was extremely crowded, and several major rides weren’t even open. Most of the employees seemed uninterested, unhelpful, or unsure when asked questions, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.
To make things worse, multiple First Aid stations were closed — which is unacceptable given the size of the crowds. Wait times for rides were ridiculous, and it didn’t feel like the park was managed well at all.
What really upset me most was how they handled the Halloween event. They shut down a large number of children’s rides early so they could switch the park over for adults to drink alcohol and go through haunted attractions. Families with kids were basically pushed aside so the park could cater to adults later in the evening.
Overall, this visit was a big letdown. Hersheypark used to be a great family experience, but this year’s Halloween event was poorly organized, overcrowded, and not family-friendly at all. Great day at the park! I love that they are cashless and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The app is a lifesaver too! We were able to go straight to the rides our toddler could ride without wandering around the park. Same thing with restrooms and places to get drinks since it was so hot out. Great park and would definitely return!
Seriously the app is a lifesaver if you aren’t familiar with the park

I Loved this place. My Family and I went there in 2015. I went on a-lot of rides. My favorite one has to be the Log Flume. There was also this one ride that I really liked called chocolate world It's a ride where they show you how they make Chocolate

Its a fun place....takes two days really to do due to the wait times for a lot of the rides and coasters. Food options are limited for vegetarians. Bathrooms are clean. Staff friendly. The app was not updating in real time on one of the days we were there. Said a few rides were not open but they were. LONG lines and wait times on popular rides.

Our family had a wonderful time. There was a lot of rides for all ages. We had lunch in the park, it was delicious. Make sure to wear good walking shoes. There is a nice arcade located in the park to have fun and cool off. I do wish there were more carnival like games to play. It was a busy day I suggest going when the park first opens. The park does offer a tram to the main entrance.

School trip. Inaccurate wait times listed. Barely got to go on any rides due to ridiculously long wait times. Looked up prices for Fast Track and cannot believe how high they are. Regular park Ttcket for the day was less than $50, bit Fast Track would have cost but very $100 more! How is a family with multiple children supposed to afford something like that???? Very disappointed.

They could be more clear on what your pass does involve! We got a day pass - which would include the park and the zoo - and also a parking pass. We parked by Chocolate world - and planned on visiting zoo first - this was at noon - zoo opens at 8am - well we couldnt use the main entrance to get to zoo - we were told we would need to get in car - go around to zoo area, pay a parking fee and also an entrance fee to the zoo????? This was just crazy - we planned to see the zoo before what we thought were the times for the rides to open - and the park person whom gave me this info was not very friendly at all! Needless to say - disappointed kids - we were not paying for another parking area, nor another entrance fee. We visited chocolate world - then entered park around 4 to see the reindeer and ride what few rides were open - disappointed to say the least!

We have come to this park every summer on. a Saturday off and on for the past 21 years, and I can tell you this was by far the busiest I've ever seen. Park does its best to control the crowds, but the fast track causes lines to move way slower. The fast track was $120 for each guest for a Saturday, and I wasn't paying that. Usually we ride about 15-20 rides when we come and are able to see a show or two. This time we only rode 11 rides and didn't see any shows. The Music Box theater had no shows and Aquatic theater had 3 shows running that day. The main entrance is large and roomy but I miss the quaint little street that used to be in there with all the little shops. All in all, $62 per ticket and $20 for parking were all reasonable when compared to the price of other parks, but I wish they didn't adopt that fast track option.

I wanted to love this park. From the minute I walked in, I was unimpressed. It took 30 mins just to pick up the cups I ordered online (after paying a $14 convience fee). If you place a good mobile order for pick up, it will make you wait 20 mins to pick up, and when it says it’s ready, you wait another 30 minutes in line waiting for the order to be put together. I cannot tell you how annoyed everyone in the line was, the text saying the food was ready told you to go right up to the window, so it was chaos with people cutting in front of you and still having to wait. The food was not handed to you until about 50 mins after the order. The bathrooms were dirty, two of the stalls were out of toilet paper. There was a rock concert next door as we were leaving, and all we could hear on the way out was heavy metal and people saying “f*ck you, mother f*ckers, let’s light up this b*tch” etc. Not the environment I wanted for the 5 children under 8 we were traveling with. When I was checking out at the store the women ringing me out split the seam of the bag, looked at it, and then still handed it to me. When I asked if she could please double bag the items so they don’t fall out while I walk back to my car she seemed very put out. I’ve been to several amusement parks in my life, and this was by far the worst one. The employees seemed overwhelmed and over it, and for the cost I expected it to be at least better organized.

This park is not as kid-friendly as they want you to believe. My wife and I took our 3 1/2 and 6 year old kids over the second weekend in October 2022. First they were horribly understaffed. They were extremely disorganized. There was no warning that the park was a full as it was, so the understaffing made the visit even more dreadful. The lines were way too long for children (1+hours). There is no way a kid can wait that long without a bathroom break. The food was overpriced and awful. I can understand one or the other but seriously, that much for frozen nuggets? There were no signs of any Halloween themes for the kids, if there was any Trick or Treating they hid it well. There vending machines were well stocked with over priced Hershey candy. The whole park seemed like a giant billboard ad for Hershey candy. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

First & last visit. And here’s why…
1. You have 1 kid running a ride that not only needed him at the door letting people in then having to walk the entire ride making sure everyone is buckled in and then to run the ride. Let everyone off, rinse and repeat. Then he had to stand there with the fast pass people for a good five minutes talking about god knows what and letting on at least 8 people. Standing in line for 45 minutes for a 30-45 second ride because of only one worker on the ride is really not acceptable to people who have paid to be there and ride rides.
2. We paid for the unlimited free refills drink cup. Besides most the ice machines being broken, I scan the cup to refill and all of a sudden I have a young girl being urged by her father to get up right next to me and as soon as I start filling she has her cup almost on top of mine, and this wasn’t a paid refill cup it was a clear Dixie cup and before I have I even finished filling my cup she is shoving me out and stealing the last 10 or so seconds of my fill up. I paid for that not the little girl nor did the father who urged her to do what she did and kept telling her to get closer to me. That is not acceptable behavior to teach your young child. And if they didn’t pay for it they shouldn’t be pushing out paid customers to steal their pop. This is on you Hershey. Prevent theft at your park. I let your manager know at one of the walking taco places next to the fill station where it happened but I’m sure it wasn’t a top priority. You would think if Hershey was losing 23 dollars a cup so people could just steal it from others or one person in the group filling for all(saw that too multiple times) Hershey would make it a top priority to stop it.
3. I get the fast pass program and if people can pay for it then let them. But I paid to be there too. And after standing in line for over an hour at a roller coaster and to be next in line to be shoved out for 6 riders blocking out 3 rows of seats for people like me who have stood in line for an hour in the heat and sun is not only absurd but down right nasty to people who might not have that money because we pay actual bills by ourselves. And also causing a woman to not be able to ride with her 2 young kids making them stand there for 2 trains until she got back to them. And she was not happy.
Last this is a family theme park started by a man who wanted something fun for his employees and their families to do. Milton Hershey was against alcohol and did not allow alcohol in Hershey the town he created for his workers and even hired PIs to find people who were drinking in town. And here you are serving alcohol at his park. That’s shameful. The man who created that place and you’re serving something he was adamant against. Add in, that if parents have to drink to have fun with their kids there’s a problem with that. They’re creating another generation that thinks they can only have fun if they are drinking. Alcohol does not need and should not be served where there are children present. You want to drink in front of your kid do it at home and not a family oriented theme park. Especially since the original creator was so against it. What a way to ruin what he stood for.
I live less than half an hour from a six flags in New York and never have I seen such blatant theft, never had to stand in line longer than half hour and fast pass isn’t abused nor does it interrupt other riders and there is a limit to how many in the party can steal seats from other paying customers and how many times it can be used. I’m coming back to this area next year but Hershey park will not be on my list to visit again.
I do not recommend this park. Unless you want to spend the money to stand In lines and maybe ride 5 rides all together, the unlimited free refill drink cups your purchasing for other people too and not enough workers to deal with the fast passes and to run rides safely. But the zoo was really neat.

The parking was horrendous. The venue shares a parking lot with chocolate world, Hersheypark, Hersheypark stadium and giant stadium. All of the parks we’re having events on the same day, The parking attendance or giving conflicting information and there’s no signs anywhere. 20,000 people we’re in the parking lot at the same time. Lines were long for just about everything. If I were to ever come back it would be off peak season.

The coasters are good for the most part. Skyrush is the best. I like that the park has alot of shade to keep you from having a heat stroke. The biggest negative is the efficiency. Long lines ARE NOT due to crowds they are due to extremely slow ride turnover. The employees have no sense of urgency. At most parks the loading and dispatching of coaster trains 60-90 seconds tops. At Hersheypark, prepare to wait several minutes and it drove me bonkers at the lack of urgency these employees had.

Limit number of people in park at a time. Got into park when it opened at 2pm. Lines were 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Time only allowed for 2 rides. Left park at 800 ticket price over $40 for 2 rides RIP-OFF

Very disappointing experience. We visited the weekend of 4/27-4/28/24. Saturday we got on 2 rides within 4 hours due to long lines and ride operators moving slowly and not filling the carts. One particular ride, Reese's Cupfusion, indicated a 20 minute wait on the app, but we stood waiting in line for 2 hours. Over the course of the day, we rode 6 rides, from 11am to 8pm.
The next day, Sunday, we purchased the Fast Pass tickets since Saturday was such a disappointment. The lines were still long, even with the Fast Pass. For most rides, the Fast Pass didn't get you near the front. Depending on the ride and how long the line was, the Fast Pass was worthless for a lot of them.
The worst experience happened while waiting in line for the StormRunner. Even with our Fast Passes, we had been in line around 30 minutes when we finally neared the front. While waiting on the platform, I observed 2 boys, aged 12-13, being bullied relentlessly by a group of 4 teenage girls (I overheard them say they were 14 and 15). It was clear the 2 boys had developmental disabilities, so I tuned in and eavesdropped for about 10 minutes to see if they were ok. At first I wondered if the girls knew the boys and they were just joking around, but it became clear they were strangers and the girls were just being mean. I saw one of the girls pull out her Hersheypark badge and say she worked there and would have the boys "kicked out for being retarded". At that point the girls were next to get on the coaster, so rather than cause a scene, I decided to just glare at them and to let them know I saw what they were doing. I figured the incident would be over in a minute once the girls got on the ride, and thought ignoring the situation was the smartest thing to do. However, when the girls arrived back after their ride, they immediately launched into harassing the boys again. At that point I snapped. It's important to note I never swore or threatened the girls, but I did begin yelling loudly.
"That's it, no more! Leave those boys alone! They haven't said a word to you and you've harassed them for the last 10 minutes! Get off the ride and walk away! Don't say another word!"
The ride operator on duty seemed to know the girls, and as she was releasing their harnesses, told the one who also worked there, "don't worry, I'll deal with her" and the girls got off the ride and walked away. The whole time they were cussing at me.
The ride operator then came over to me and said, "You can't talk to young girls like that. That's not right." I told her I never swore at them and didn't threaten them, but they shouldn't have been bullying the boys to begin with. The ride operator said, "Ok, you can get the F*** off the ride then." Instead of causing a bigger scene and standing my ground, I said ok I'll go. The boys (total strangers to me) started crying and saying "Don't kick her off the ride, she didn't do anything wrong. She was just sticking up for us!". The operator went over and told the boys they could "Get the F*** off the ride too."
The boys and I got off the ride, called security, and filed an incident report. We were escorted to the front of the line and put on the ride as soon as our report was filed.
I contacted Hersheypark guest relations on Monday via online form, asking for a follow up on the incident, and it is now Thursday, and I haven't heard back. I will be escalating with their corporate offices. I feel like this situation needs to be addressed appropriately before I'll ever spend another dime at Hersheypark.

went with 10 yr old 11/6/2022 during 'bonus weekend'.
Park is amazing and fun for kids this age, IF you can find a time when its not crowded.
We went on a sunday evening, after it had rained most of the day, in november. Which resulted in very few people at the park. We were able to get on most rides very quickly and it was a great experience. We were at the park for 5 hours until kids started to get tired. We rode so many rides.
note that 'bonus weekend' really means 1/2 the rides are open and 1/4 of the staff is working. So no big coasters are running, but many of big-kid rides (ages 7-12) are still running. So a perfect weekend for kids, but teens and adults would have been disappointed.
Of all the parks I have gone to, Hershey is still the best. If you can find a day with lower crowds, its great time. But if you go during peak, expect to wait in line all day and hate it.

What a hell hole! Everything about our visit was awful. The park was beyond overcrowded. Wait times for rides, including the kiddie rides, were 45-120 minutes all day. We were there for 8 hours and managed to take 6 rides. Several key attractions were closed the entire day, many others shut down partially during the day. It was difficult to even walk around because the pathway was so full of people. They were playing heavy metal in the kid's trick-or-treat area. The bathrooms were vile. I had to clean toilets myself 4 times so that my kids could use them without sitting in urine and feces. I witnessed mothers changing their infant diapers on the sidewalks because there was no room in the restrooms. All of this is a result of Hersheypark's greed in letting as many people in to the park as possible. They are very lucky you didn't end up with a riot or stampede that night.

I WAITED 45 MIN TO ORDER A BURGER the line for the lazy river was 1 :20 long too overwhelming too many people

Visited Hershey for the first time in many years and was incredibly disappointed. Not only were the crowds insane but most of the rides at some point or another were not operating or partially operating. Would never come back.

So many great roller coasters. Good food options. Nice layout. Really a nice amusement park with lots to do for all ages. A fun way to spend the day.

First I'm a widow with 1 daughter we are Jolly rancher and Chocolate bar height so with that she can not ride the larger coasters so the wait times for that are not a major issue for us. I have rode wildcats revenge and candimonium that's it so far for 2023 for me.
Being flexible is #1 for the park. Sometimes we go and a ride has a 0 wait, lightning racer and trailblazer for example. Wild mouse and super dooper looper are 5-10 minutes, but comet and cupfushion and big rides are 60+ minutes so you have to think what's do you need. Do you need more rides or specific rides to make the day the best it can be for you and your group. This is any park (we have done dorney and knoebels and same experience there)
You can bring you own water bottle and fill with free water and ice. Sometimes the ice area gets over filled and messy. Also bathrooms we've used have never been a mess.
The small traveling band is back and there are singers near the Baoardwalk. There is the sea lion show too.
The apps wait times are always wrong. That needs improvement.
Food stands wait times are insane. Bring your own snacks / food with. That's my biggest issue. We grab soft pretzels or other snacks becuase the food lines are always crazy long and adds up fast.

Great park! We love it here for rides and water slides! Great fun for all ages! Always a favorite family vacation for us!

If you are going to Candylane don't pay for prefer parking. We couldn't find a place to park and ended up parking in the General parking and the lady in the parking lot didn't seem to care that we couldn't find a place to park. Park was very packed and lines to get anything were a mile long. Canylane is not the same

Go there with a definite plan in place as the size and number of people can be overwhelming. Realize the waits can be long.

I came here solely because it was a park that I haven’t been too yet and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I spent three full days here so I could really take in the park and enjoy it to the fullest extent and I needed all three days. They have such a unique collection of coasters and flat rides and a unique way that they were able to fit 13 roller coasters in such a small park. I am a coaster lover do that was my focus and their coasters do not disappoint. They also have a nice collection of antique rides and rides that look or harken back to the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. They also have some unique takes on normal Amusement park foods like funnel cakes with Reese’s chocolate and peanut butter on top. They also have a wonderful restaurant called the Chocolatier which I recommend making reservations for as the food is delicious.

Unless your a fan of 2 plus hour waits for a 60 second ride don't ever go on a weekend kids irritated way too crowded take your kids to Idlewild cheaper and kids loved it

We went with young children. Rides were too spread out for their age. Maps were HORRIBLE. no YOU ARE HERE. Maps not accurate. App map horrible. Convenient having wait times, but with LING, LONG wait times, we wasted way too much time walking vs doing anything fun. WAY TOO HOT. you need MANY,ANY, MANY, spraying misters to cool people off. Especially for those adults who are just there to bring the kids and not go on anything or get wet. Misters are a must. Everything is expensive. Just like some of the reviewers complained, choc. World has gone down in quality. What a disappointment. And what did you have the ride set to speed demon. Never got to read anything . Way way too fast. Thanks for the mini choc. Bar at the end. That was very generous as in the past we used to get half that size or just a kiss. So this was a nice size as a treat. But for nothing else, you make the product. If it costs you 5 cents to make you should give a real sized Hershey bar out. Espec. For the price to park and entry. You make the candy. The rides....lots of rides, but way too many for teens and adults. Not a lot for the Hershey size and under. Not sure who you want there. Kids, or adults. We were there for 9 hours and completely utterly exhausted. The zoo was nothing. Nice if that is all you pay a separate price for for an hour. But not worth it. Just more walking. The best part of Hersheypark or ANY water park is the splash area. It was the best I've ever seen. It had it for every age. If nothing else, I would come back just for that ..... But it needs it's own parking lot. To park at one end and walk here, not worth that. Pretzels were delish!!! Love dipping dots. Love that you had different sizes than the stand tiny cup. Loved that you can get water and ice by the Pepsi stations. Altho, I never used it or needed to. We had bright our own not knowing this. Rental strollers are singles, doubles, and wagons. The wagons are more for your stuff no roof at all. We went a double stroller for all our stuff, I should have done the wagon. Although nothing wrong with it, the stroller didn't have really depth for your backpacks and soft cooler so thing would fall constantly where the wagon was flat.....but it needed a roof. Because the stroller has the little shade attachment, cooler was able to stay under here .,..so hot, so everything still melted or got warm by end of day. They also rent the scooters for handicapped and single stroller. We are at Nathan's and it was good. No where really to cool down and as I already said NEED MISTERS EVERYWHERE. Some rides ok some eh some not so much. For me....one and done with Hersheypark. I would not go back. Having said that, many many people seemed very happy. Lots of camper teens came in en masse at 6 pm. Glad we were leaving ...they were overwhelming. I mean it seemed like hundreds. Most people (guests) were friendly. Some grouches here and there. Most staff very nice or pleasant. A few couldn't be bothered . Hilly sections can wipe you out if you do not exercise. Very challenging. Way too much walking in circles because no one can tell you where a section is you are looking for. A lot of dead ends , closed areas, rides not working. So lots of unnecessary walking. Fix your maps and make them r realistic vs cartoon where they are not true to size.

Sweet park for a day or two of family fun! Clean with plenty of restrooms and eateries. Nice variety of rides. Wish there was more musical shows.

Our FIRST trip to Hershey Park happened to fall on the long Columbus Day weekend, the first time that Hershey has tried a Halloween-type theme of "scare-zones" and scare houses to tour separately. Clearly understaffed; LONG lines for rides and food (we finally had to buy fast passes for just our 2 teens so they could get on any rides! $90 each on top of day ticket!) Out of 3 Scare Zones, only ONE had good scare actors; others had just fog and a teen in a halloween costume just walking around. I'll bet if the CEO's spent more money paying their employees more, they would attract more help. My teens loved the rides though. Clean park, just needs more employees ; too crowded

Let me start by saying this, do not book a trip here unless you are willing to spend double what you would at another theme park. I say that because the only way to really enjoy your time here is to purchase a Fast Track to skip the lines and that costs more than you will spend to enter the park. I had 6 people

We live 35 minutes from Hershey so we could easily go whenever we wanted. When I was in school we had lots of field trips to Hersheypark and I loved it. Unfortunately as the park grew so did the prices. The last time we were there was in 2016 and swore we would never go back. This year my employer offered tickets for $35 each as well as free parking so we decided to give it a go. We went on May 20, 2023 and in 5 hours we rode 4 rides. I bought the single meal plans and we could not find any of the pizza places (Dispatch Pizza). Asked several employees and no one could tell us. I even waited in line for 20 minutes at guest services near the boardwalk and moved up 2 position in that time. Went to another near the food court and same thing. Both locations had 1 person working. We ended up eating at Overlook which took us 45 minutes in this cafeteria type food venue. The had self checkout but you couldn’t use the meal plans and they only had 1 cashier open. I just don’t see value in spending $800 for a family of 4 and then having to wait in excessively long lines.

The only reason this is a 4 star instead of a 5, is because Candymonium feels like a clear cut copy of Mako at sea world Orlando. But! It’s still a great ride, all of the hills have great airtime and the view is amazing, it’s extremely re-rideable. Everything else was great, Fahrenheit is by far the best coaster in the park, and when I went, the wait times weren’t bad. Whenever you go always finish the day at the ice cream parlor!

We went as a family of 5. Every ride was over 1.5 hour wait. We wanted to try the fast pass which was an additional $900!!!!! That’s on top of the tickets and food etc. $900 for fast pass tickets is insane. We waited on a ride for two hours to be told that it’s closed. The workers were rude. Everything was so expensive. We were able to get in 1 ride in 4 hours and left. We don’t recommend coming here. For what it costs your better off going to Disney. Very disappointed.

Horrible visit last night to Hershey Park. I am a Giant Pass holder. Our passes would not scan from the app. A very kind security guard escorted us to guest services. A different security guard came over and rudely talked down to the security guard that escorted us for leaving his assigned area and removed us from line. We were told to go stand in a different line and wait.
We waited for over 45 minutes for help in the second line. The Lady that helped us there was sensational and I cannot enough wonderful things about her. Finally after waiting in line for over 90 minutes we are in the park. We are having a great time until we go to the Wildcat.
We are using our one fast pass that is included with our Giant pass to ride our favorite ride. We start to chat with some people in the other line while we were waiting. People from farther ahead are walking out of the line. The other line moved forward and so did ours. Then the other line moved again and again. More people from the fast pass line are walking out of line. I begin to notice that our line is not moving except when people ahead leave the line.
We have now been in line close to an hour and the nice people we were chatting with earlier are in line again. They are in line a second time before we have been in once. Their line is moving continuously. Finally we are close enough to see the problem. The young lady manning the line is not letting the fast pass line through. I can see people from the other line go through in giant groups while no one from our side goes through.
We waited for close to 90 minutes in the fast pass line and did not yet ride the wild cat. We leave the line and I angrily walk up the exit line. I wait to speak to the girl running the line. She says she is doing her best, she must alternate the lines. I say you are not letting the one line move at all. She rolls her eyes and turns away. She continues to let the other line move through. She lets two people from the fast pass line enter the attraction, the line erupts with cheering. I try to say more but she ignores me. I leave, there is no use in talking when you are being ignored.
We try leave and try to ride the candymonium. The ride is closed, the rides stop operating at 10. we waisted close to two hours in line. 3 1/2 hours waisted in your park. We did not get to enter all of the haunted houses. I bought fast passes for those too. Our time was stolen. I have had season passes for over 5 years. I do not see myself getting them again. We had a truly awful and expensive experience. There is so much more to this horrible night but i am tired of typing.

So worth the time and money. Lots of rides and family fun. Plenty food options with reasonable prices. I would not suggest the photo pass. Not many photo locations and the poor photographer are inexperienced and uncomfortable using the cameras. I felt bad for them. They are young and could use simple training to make them more comfortable

We visit the park once a year for the past ten years. It never disappoints. And doesn’t seem to get old. Our group loves this trip.
The new Twizzler Twisted Gravity was a hit for our group. The lines were not long.
The other rides were great and continue to thrill year after year.
This park has some of the best food offerings around with a Chick-fil-A and Subway amongst others.
They are really trying to keep things fresh and new. It is a clean, safe amusement park. Check it out.

We bought some group tickets that were time limited. We were unable to attend due to air quality from the Canada wildfires. The group sales team refused to work with us at all to extend the time limit or offer even $1 of refund. Hershey got our $300 but lost customers that live in the region and love coasters.

$74 a ticket. $25 to park, no tram on arrival. 60-90 min waits for all the coaster rides. Many rides were closed. A bottle of water ranged from $3 to $5. $12 hotdogs. I know parks are going to have higher prices, but this is nothing but price gouging. Dark night attractions were OK, but do not start till 6, and then 60-90 min waits. Even the bathroom had a wait line. We haven't been for years, and it will like be a long time till we consider returning. Other parks have better attactions for less, without the long wait lines for every ride. Honestly, I don't know how families afford this, we were three working adults that found the cost insane.

What a terrific experience! Our family of four spent an entire day at HersheyPark on a Tuesday in early June. Kids ages 15 and 11. Yes, we had the fast passes and yes, they were worth every penny! Since we were from out of state, we had to maximize our time, and we don’t feel guilty about it! We loved the rides and we can’t wait to come back and do more some day. The kids’ favorite was Great Bear! Parking was no problem, lines moved quickly, staff was personable and helpful, and there is no shortage of delicious junk food throughout the park. Pro tip: no matter how securely you’ve fastened your baseball hat, it will absolutely fly off your head on a coaster. Also, be sure to book a 7:30 reservation at The Chocolatier. When you leave, there will be 0 traffic and you will have enjoyed a fun meal. We used the app a little bit but you don’t have to as there is a lot of signage in the park. It is neat to know the stats for the rides though. Big fan of The Coal Cracker here…don’t ever lose that one! What a hoot! Thank you HersheyPark for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

Autumn weather makes fall the most pleasant season for a visit, and clearly - from the many negative TripAdvisor comments - it's overcrowded in the summer. One would imagine the park would capitalize on this.
They don't. Inexplicably, the park doesn't open until 2pm in the fall. For any family with small children who have normal bedtimes, this makes the park not worth the admission.

What to say. Got to the park at 11 left around 5. In that time, with no express pass we were able to ride 4 rides on a friday, spring break for many. Long long lines in the cold, many rides were not even open and some of the open rollercoasters were running only one cart.. yes this time of year it's a bit cheaper but when only half the park seems to be open and the lines are extra long it is just not worth it. Won't be coming back.

I cannot express how awful the experience was. Terrible venue. Horrible restroom and exit situation. Never coming again. Wow

We had a pleasant time with substantial walking involved. It's advisable to arrive early for the rides, as queues tend to reach an hour's wait shortly after opening. An instance of this was experiencing a two-hour line for the Laff Track ride, complete with multiple deceptive turns that made the queue seem endless. Nevertheless, it was my grandson's birthday, so we persevered and engaged in conversations with other friendly guests. We found the pizza at 8 Cut Crust to be quite satisfying. The park conveniently has refill and water stations—remember to bring an empty bottle if you opt out of the unlimited refills. For us, a one-time meal purchase was cost-effective compared to the generally pricey dining options at the lodge. If it's within your budget, consider purchasing the Fast Track pass as it can be disheartening to see others board the rides swiftly while you've been waiting for an extended period. In hindsight, our stay of two days seemed too short—I'm looking forward to returning.

My family loved the park. There was a good variety of rides and food choice. We enjoyed the shade found throughout the park. I felt like the rides were well run and the wait times were not too bad. The park was clean, plenty or restrooms. My family loved the store at the end.

Came on a weekday in July. Price of admission wasn’t bad and there were really low crowds and almost no wait for the rides. Longest wait time was about 30 minutes for a roller coaster and then most of them became walk-on towards the end of the day. However, Park has a lot of steep hills, and the app doesn’t work too well so made it hard to get around. Also depressing country music played throughout the park, which gave everything a boring and lazy type of vibe. Went to Milton‘s ice cream parlor outside of the park and while everything looked delicious, the staff basically ignore you even though the place was empty, and their donuts were stale. Overall, it was fine for a one day visit but only because the crowds were low. Don’t plan on returning.

I mean, this place takes care of it all. Water park and theme park. What else do you want? We spent the whole day and had an excellent time.
Had to rent a wheelchair on site and that was super easy and smooth. What wasn't was pushing my mom up and down those damn hills. Word to the wise, either have them rent an electric scooter (which they also offer) or don't bring a wheelchair to push. That was my first time there and I didn't know the hills were so big and so often.
Other than that, we all had a great time and will certainly try and make it out again.

The park was overly crowded with extremely long waits. We’ve been to other themes parks and understand that this can happen, but it’s insulting to wait in long lines and see rollercoasters running with empty seats. Lightning Racer was only run one track and routinely left with 5-7 empty seats. The app indicated a 30 minute wait which was closer to an hour. Fahrenheit was a 2 hour wait, and generally had 2-3 empty seats. A single rider line would dramatically help. We spent a total of 5 hours in the park and rode two rides.

Great last night for Hershey Park Halloween. The coasters during the day and night were no joke! So much fun visiting the haunted areas!

My husband, two daughters (ages 10, 12), and I spent one day at Hershey Park recently. We were there on a Friday. It's important to note that we are not fans of amusement park rides and do not ride roller coasters. Our goal for the day was to enjoy the waterpark, zoo and potentially ride a few small rides. After reading the recent reviews the night before, I lowered my expectations significantly and basically crossed my fingers that we'd get through the day having an OK time. We actually had a GOOD TIME!
Here's what worked for us:
1. We got there early, parked reasonably close, and walked into the park at 10:02 am.
2. We walked straight to the Boardwalk waterpark area- specifically the wave pool, and were able to secure chairs under a shaded awning. We also rented a large locker closest to the changing rooms. We found this to be the least busy area of the waterpark- which was great.
3. We were able to spend ample time in the wave pool, and ride all of the water rides at least once (some more than once). We never waited in line longer than 15 minutes for any water ride while we were there and the lines moved quickly. The waterpark area got much busier after lunch (when we waited 15 minutes for a ride), but never felt overwhelming. The lazy river line was very long after lunch (we did not ride it after lunch).
4. We ordered food to share at the cafe by the wave pool, the time from order to food arrival was about 20 minutes. This was acceptable to us. We brought refillable water bottles and were able to fill up water and ice at any of the drink stations- this was awesome!
5. At around 4 pm, we changed up and debated on a few rides or the zoo and the girls ended up choosing a few rides. We rode the bumper cars- waited less than 15 minutes and the Mouse roller coaster (waited 15 minutes). At this point we were toast. We grabbed ice cream at Rita's and headed out.
Takeaways- It was definitely very crowded in the main areas, but manageable. Out of curiosity, I peeked at wait times for the rides throughout the day and noticed only a few times that the big coasters were up to 75 minutes. Most rides were an hour wait or less.
Bathroom/Park Cleanliness: I have extremely high standards for cleanliness and would probably rate the park an A-/B+ by the end of the day. They had attendants in the bathrooms/changing rooms, soap and paper towels were always full and there were no overflowing trash cans anywhere.
Overall Experience for the Cost (for us): B
We knew it would be expensive. We spent $60+ dollars per person for mainly a waterpark experience, purchased a $20 locker- totally worth it, and then around $85 dollars in mediocre food/ice cream.
Would we drive 6 hours to go again? No, once was enough!

I’ve been to Hershey several times and this was probably the only bad experience. I’ve come alone in ma childless 20s and did every single roller coaster and I’ve come with a 4 year old and done all the kiddy rides. This time I’m 40 and my daughter is 9. My was too old for the kiddy rides and too young for the roller coasters, so we spent the whole time (and all our money) in games. I think it makes sense to bring kids when they are between like 3-5 and then maybe after 12-13.

We spent 3 days in Hershey park and bought 5 season passes which 3 of them include free parking. After dropping my family off, I had a dental visit to attend. When I got back to the park to retrieve my family, I was told I would have to pay for the parking even though we had been in earlier in the day and we had 3 king size passes. It took my husband 3 managers to get refunded the $25.00. Unfortunately they could have had a valuable customer but since their service was so bad we will not be back nor would we recommend this.

The park was great. However, I paid for the parking voucher online to save the $5 and we when arrived, they weren't charging anyone for parking. So I call and they wouldn't refund the $20 for the parking voucher. I'm not real happy about that. That matters in my pocket. Given the circumstances, it would have been better customer service to refund the money.

This isn't my first trip to Hershey Park so I knew what to expect. Our church sponsored a trip for the youth and they had a great time. I was with the younger kids while the older kids went their own way. The weather cooperated so the day was great. We primarily stayed in the area where the rides were tamed for Hershey-size kids.
My main complaint is the food, but you know what to expect when you go to a park. The food is way expensive, the lines were long, and the food isn't very good unless you are eating at a franchise like Subway or Chick-fil-A.
From there we took the kids to the water area and it was crowded, as expected. The wave pool was shut down due to bodily fluids being released into the water. This pushed all those patrons to the other water rides/areas which made it overcrowded.
Overall, the kids had a wonderful time and we will be back again.

We went to Hershey Park on Saturday, October 28 for their Halloween Hershey Park in the Dark. Although we love the Park and have been there tons of times over the years, this trip left us disappointed. They packed too many people in the park, the line for rides were 1 - 2 hours long! We paid to get into the park, paid $25 to park the car, waited an hour in line to get our lunch and only rode 3 rides all day! Absolutely ridiculous!

I was there on 10/9 and it was the worst theme park experience I've ever had. We drove about 4 hours to stay at Hershey and I will never be back. The crowds were down right dangerous. I had my mother with me who needed a scooter to get around-it was basically impossible to navigate with the crowds much less in a scooter. I've never seen a park so mismanaged before in all my life and I've been just about everywhere! Not only were they understaffed, but the employees were slower than molasses, uninformed and down right rude. We weren't familiar with the park and roamed around aimlessly because there is no signage anywhere, the app is horrible. I waited over an hour for the meal I purchased with my package-an hour for a couple cold lousy hotdogs and they ran out of fries-so they gave us water instead LOL. Like seriously? I thought the people standing in line were going to riot. I've never seen such a crowd of angry and dissatisfied people as I saw that day. It was complete and utter misery and I'm shocked a riot didn't break out. They should absolutely be ashamed at themselves for allowing this to happen. What a horrible experience so much that's it has completely tarnished my view of this company all together. I'll stick with M& Ms from now on. What a bunch of jerks. Stay home and save your money!

Unfortunately this park seems to only think about making money and not the guest experience. With the amount it rained today, the leadership from this park has simply
not thought through the fact that there is almost nothing to do when it rains. This is mainly due to the decrease in entertainment. This park used to have 4 or 5 covered performance venues, so when it rained, there was always something to do. Now, there is only one covered show and it was just plain bad. Terrible script and painful to sit through. Basically an advertisement for Halloween and Christmas. This company can and should do so much better!

The employees were all very nice and the park was clean. It is a lot of walking but the water park and the zoo are included. The rides were fun especially the bear roller coaster

If you haven't put on your swim trunks and taken your 7, 8, 9 year-olds to Hershey's this summer DO IT NOW - - - or at least plan a one whole day maybe two fir next hot summer!!! We had a blast - - - I am 65 rode a few rides and rented a scooter to cover the "walking" because my hips are bad! Loved it everything about it!

I visited Hersheypark in the dead of the winter, so no rides were in operation. Hardly anyone here to be candid. Parking was confusing but free of charge. It was nice to see this place, heard a lot about it. I was kind of disappointed in the chocolate options in the store. I found one premium sampler collection; however, it contained high fructose corn syrup. Most of the chocolates contained almonds. I just wanted a plain old dark chocolate Hershey bar. Not much selection for that. I did find a little sampler bag of dark chocolate. I used the self-checkout, pretty confusing. An associate had to come over and help me with it. He said, "everybody" has issues with it. There is a nice museum there. You can board a train car, and the ride takes about 7 minutes. It is actually free. That was fun and a nice diversion. They give everyone a free milk chocolate bar after the ride. They take your picture, and you can purchase it. That is pricey though. A lot of Hershey souvenir items. Reese's Peanut Butter cup hoodies didn't interest me. LOL! In a nutshell, I did not find anything compelling to purchase. There is a nice restaurant here as well. Milk shakes are like $15 a piece. There is a Ferris wheel sampler platter ($40). If you are driving thru, I'd stop. I didn't see that much spectacular here other than the prices. Enjoy!

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, my husband and I brought our 2 sons for the first time in Hersheypark, Pennsylvania. It was an outing meant to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. We arrived 30 minutes before opening time yet the place was already an absolute madhouse as we waited to be admitted inside the park. It was crowded and disorganized. When we finally got inside the park, we immediately went to the Candymonium roller coaster. Little did we know that we would spend 3 hrs of wait time to be able to take our very first ride of the day. By the time, we were done, it was already 2:30pm and we were very hungry and exhausted. We were on our feet the whole 3 hours never leaving the line until we got our ride. We did not get a fast track ticket. A fast track forward ticket is a huge rip-off. It is very expensive and is an extra cost on top of the pricey entrance tickets that we already paid. That additional amount is only good for 1 ride. We felt cheated, disappointed and miserable. Added to that are the lengthy lines to purchase food. It was our worst experience being in an amusement park.
You see, this is the problem. There are no capacity limits to the people getting admitted inside the park. People kept coming in like an army of ants - we all pay for our admission tickets and once inside the park, we can basically do nothing. Hersheypark cannot deliver the most basic service for which one overpays when buying a ticket. It takes 1.5-2 hrs of wait time even for the attractions that are not popular. It was a complete agonizing experience for an overpriced admission. We left Hersheypark immediately when we saw that another long wait was in store for us to just get food. There was no apology for wasted time/money and effort.

The experience at the park was horrible.
We only went in one ride and it took 3 hours. The people who worked there didn’t give service to their own tourists

We have absolutely loved the park the past few years but this spring has been totally different. Lines are out of control and staff are doing a very poor job keeping things moving. Super disappointing.

Nice park, plan to walk miles and wait in long lines. Expensive too. It was a Saturday and extremely hot. Maybe mid-week is a better choice.

The park itself was fun, BUT don't have any issues because their customer service is deplorable. The people at the customer service desk were kind enough to your face and then would leave you waiting for at least 10 minutes at a time while they supposedly got someone else for you to bring your problem to. After waiting for over half an hour and having two people sympathize over my problem they claim they had to get yet another person. I explained my group was preparing to leave and they assured me the person would be there in the next two minutes. I gave them five more, but when no one showed and the attendant was, of course, missing I had wasted over forty minutes of my time with no resolution to my issue.
Bottom line, they don't actually care about you as a person and their approach to solving a problem is to waste your time, make false sympathetic noises, and wait till you get fed up and leave with a bitter taste for the whole experience that no amount of chocolate can sweeten.

Terrible customer service experience! Inflexible ticket polices. Purchased tickets early in the summer but do to an illness we were unable to attend. We live 5 hours away and were not
Able to make the drive this summer. Tried to go this weekend but they have skeleton fall
Hours and weren’t open during the week. I asked if they could simply extend my 4 tickets to next season. Not even asking for a refund! They refused, never have I dealt with an amusement park that wouldn’t work with you on ticket extension, especially during covid times. What a terrible PR move for Hershey. It’s also impossible to speak with a person in management, kept getting young kids that said they were passing on the message for management. We would usually make the drive every year and would
Always recommend other families near us check it out, as opposed to
Driving to seams place or cedar park. . Not anymore, you lost a good customer and for what? We would have come back next summer and spend loads on food and at the Hershey store. Thanks for stealing my money Hershey.

I went to Hershey park this summer. It was very fun there were a lot of amazing rides. The lines are not that long and the rides are worth the wait. The rides you can´t find anywhere else. It was a great experience and I recommend you go.

Stay away. Guest services sucked. Park entertainment's suck. Prices were horrible. Guest services were the most rude people I have ever encountered. Park was extremely dirty

Very disappointed. Took the family last summer and had a great time this time. Came for Hershey Halloween this year and took an hour just to get into park, which didn’t open until 2. Very long rides, many rides closed, and many closed at 5pm. Waste of money for my family as the majority of the little kids rides were closed. I’ve always enjoyed Hersheypark, been coming since I was a kid, and I’ve never seen it so crowded. Reading reviews it sounds like it has really gone went downhill this year.

This is a very nice theme park! We live 13 hours away and got to visit and had such a great time! It's so clean and well themed with all the chocolate stuff! Lots of roller coasters and stuff for all ages. Lots of restrooms. The gift shop at the exit is nice also. We had some ice cream and funnel cakes which were very good! We would love to visit again someday if we can. We did get the Fast Track passes and they do come in handy not having to wait as long in lines.

Extremely overcrowded, Lost Kids, mass chaos, closed park due to "inclement weather"
Untrained staff, Expensive, Lack of crowd control
Waterpark is deep in the park and difficult to access. App to locate and identify childs sizes for rides difficult to use.

We purchased park tickets plus the all day eating add-on and the haunted house add-ons, spending over $100 per ticket. I would never buy these add-ons again because they are not worth the cost, and I would not go here unless I knew the park was going to be completely empty (we went on an October Saturday).
Technically, with the all day eating, you can eat every 90 minutes. Eating 2-3 times basically pays for the add-on cost. However, you will stand in line for 90 minutes just to get your food--meaning if you wanted to pay for park admission and this add-on just to stand in line to get food, you will probably get your money's worth otherwise it is a waste. My advice is to just pack your own food because unless you are getting the most expensive meals in the park, even the one-meal add-on isn't really worth it. You can also only eat at certain restaurants--some of these were closed. (By the way--it didn't matter if you were getting a hot dog at the Overlook or visiting the Smokehouse--the wait was still 60-90 minutes.) The Smokehouse only had about 2 people working and the person on cash register couldn't figure out how to work it. Further, the park closes at 11:00PM. All but one of the restaurants you can use were closed by 10:00PM. Because we were not aware that the restaurants closed early, and we didn't want to wait 90 minutes when we could ride rides, we only got one meal out of our expensive add-on. Closing restaurants at 10:00PM when the park closes at 11:00PM is not an "all day" dining deal.
All parks now offer these fast passes for an additional fee. We did not purchase this. The result was that in the 7 hours we were there I rode 4 rides (two were kiddie rides with 30-60 minute long waits) and ate 1 meal. The rest of the time I was standing in line. What are these parks going to do when everyone purchases fast passes? The line experience itself was also awful. Most lines had kids with too little supervision pushing and shoving. My 7-year old was knocked flat by a 10-14 year old swinging on the divider bars. Unfortunately, all the parents were letting their kids swing on these and do worse, and my daughter spent the rest of the day scared she would be hit again. I understand 60 minutes is a long time to wait for a ride for a 5-10 year old, but instead of giving kids their own phones to entertain them, the adults were on phones ignoring everything their kids were doing.
The most disappointing was the haunted house pass, which was purchased for my older kids. (We had both young children and teens.) Not only do you have to pay an additional fee for the Haunted Houses, but people with a special Fast Pass can also by-pass this line, which means that my kids only got to see two of these. Again, you are paying a park fee and an exorbitant Haunted House fee to only see a couple of the Haunted Houses despite the lie you have "Unlimited" access. You will not be able to see all four since they open at 6:00PM. Further, they close the lines to ALL attractions at 10:00PM (and most rides closed before this time). Again, this park is supposedly open until 11:00PM, but you cannot get into line at any attraction after 10:00PM.
Finally, if you do not have Fast Pass, the ride you are in line for at 9:00PM will be your last ride of the evening, and you will wait for over 2 hours in line because at 9:00PM all regular lines are put on hold (including those for the Dark Nights) and only Fast Pass users are admitted (unless there are none). This means Fast Pass users can run through as many rides as they want during the last hour while you wait in line. I was in line with my youngest at a rollercoaster and my older kids were at a haunted house and we all experienced the hour where the line didn't move at all.
What could they do to fix this? (1) Keep all add-on restaurants opened and staffed until 11:00PM (or whenever the park closes). (2) Limit the number Fast Pass users per day and force them to get a timed entry to each ride/attraction. I don't have a problem with them cutting and getting to ride more rides than me--I do have a problem not being able to ride ANYTHING because I have to wait in line 2 hours while all the Fast Pass users are served first.

Hersheypark was a major disappointment. The park is enormous, yet there's barely anything to do besides shop and eat overpriced food. Despite visiting in the middle of the week, we could only get on one ride per hour due to the ridiculously long lines. The selection of rides for teens and older is severely lacking, and the majority are roller coasters—terrible if you don't enjoy them. It feels like a wannabe Disneyland rip-off. The waterpark is a complete waste of time with minimal activities. Save your money and go to a local amusement park instead. Don't waste your time here.

Hersheypark in the Dark is not a good experience. There is about the same amount of people here as in summer. The problem with that is, there is limited rides operating making the lines extremely long. There is no organization on Hershey's part to handle the crowds. The lines are so big they overflow out into the main walkway and you cannot tell where the line forms. They should have chains up so you know where the line forms. As you can see in the picture for a little kids ride (that is the line). If you don't have season passes it would not be worth going for the price, because you won't be getting on many rides.

Years ago this place was great. There were lines as expected but nothing like it is now. They just open the floodgates at 2pm for the Halloween event and good luck. We got here at 2 and im writing this at 730. We have been on 2 rides. Actually no. 1. 1 ride and 1 haunted house that was just ok. The problem here is isn’t the stuff to do. It’s the poor crowd management, lack of experienced staff or staff in general. I have asked at several line entrances and ALL of them had no clue. I got shrugged shoulders and a look of “I don’t care”.
The crowd is so bad (this is the worst I’ve ever seen here) that it feels unsafe. If you have little ones, strap them on because they could disappear in the blink of an eye. I would never bring little kids to this disaster.
The cost was roughly $90+ for each of us to do the park and the halloween stuff. The price is what it is I guess, but to pay that and then get on what it seems to be a max of 4 rides is not worth it.
There is also the $20 for parking. And probably another $150 or so to feed the 4 of us.
For those of you who like to chuck their money in the trash, yes you fast pass people. You’ll wait just as long. The fast pass lines were all out to the entrance. If the amount of people let in were controlled, the fast pass system would be ok because it wouldn’t be a waste and being a non fast pass person, it would be less frustrating to see 100s of people skip the line. The cost of the fast passes were designed to literally rip off people.
As I see it. We are in a “make as much money as fast as possible” mode because of covid losses or there really is a 5 year old running this place. This is not how to treat people that come from far away and pay a massive premium. Hershey should be ashamed of themselves. I feel like I’ve been conned. I won’t be back until something big changes and it returns to a place where the owners care about your enjoyment instead of how much money they can rip from your pockets.

The Christmas Candylane experience (after-dark Hersheypark experience with XMAS lights) was NOT worth the price of admission ($50+). Do NOT go!!
Overcrowded, poorly executed, and disappointing!
Most of the rides were closed creating long lines for those rides that were open.
You would think Hershey could get the hot chocolate right, but even that was overpriced watered-down sludge. Shame!!!
The lights were poorly designed and looked amateurish except for the area in the center near the water that moved to the music. My display at my home is better than their displays.
Fair warning....do NOT waste your money. Disappointing evening from start to finish!

I love Hershey. First time for my nieces. They loved it. We like all the roller coasters. But we love the candymonuim and wildcat revenge. Just wow wow wow.
Less than 10mins wait if even that on any of the rides.
Would say don’t go on skyrush so rough, will hurt your neck. Have no neck support.

While the park was great overall, we found two things about the park that were very frustrating and disappointing. There is a significant lack of signage throughout the park which made our first visit very cumbersome at times. In our opinion, signage at each intersection would have made our day more productive, in lieu of stopping and asking for direction. (We did not want to use the phone app all day, so that was not an option for us) And, there is a significant lack of benches/seating throughout the park.... we many times looked unsuccessfully for a place to rest or eat (and we were told by several employees that it was a rather quiet day there) . Not sure if we will ever return.

I remember Hershey was for everyone with their shows, rides and Waterpark. If you want to ride it's ok but long lines. The food is over priced. There's one music show and that's it. The shows were always a fun time and now that their gone Hershey isn't much to visit. We we're very disappointed that Hershey did not revive their shows after covid. It's a roller coaster park and not a fun for all park.

OMG! I love this park. Compared to other parks (eg Dorney), this park feels modern, and has something for *almost* everyone. The water park is very crowded in the afternoon, but if you get there early enough there is hardly anyone. Coasters are FANTASTIC as well. They recently re-did the entire theming throughout the park, along with adding one of the tallest coasters in PA, Candimonium. Other coasters are being redone and are just as good as new. The park is completely cashless, and the surrounding town is fantastic, with local places to stay, resturants, and breweries.
I would highly recommend visiting this park (make sure you go earlier - when it's less crowded).

This was the worst experience at an amusement park I have ever experienced. We drove down from upstate NY and went to the park on Saturday August 16th. After getting pre-paid debit cards and finally locking our bags in a large locker, we planned to go to the lazy river while the adult kids checked out a ride. The line at the lazy river however was extremely long so we didn't get to try the river. Instead we decided to find the adult kids and get something to eat. Four hours later, when all the water rides were shut down due to the weather, we finally found the kids who had been standing in one line the entire time for a ride that was shut down just as they were getting towards the end of the line. So,they didn't even get to ride any ride. At that point we went to the guest services to complain. I was just ready to leave by now, and guests services management would not refund the price of the tickets even though we did not go on any rides. They offered replacmtickets for another time, even though I said we were from upstate NY and we would not be coming back. Im also a veteran that served active duty in the Army for over twenty years, but Im sure they don't care about that either as they don't have a veterans discount, at least we were told the regular discounted tickets online for everyone is better than anything they offer to veterans. At any rate, Hershey Park was the worst amusement park experience I have ever had. I would not recommend going. Find a smaller park where they value their customers and hopefully it won't be over crowded too!

I went to Hersehypark for the first time in 10 years. I was really excited as I remembered I really liked going on the coasters there. We got there around 4pm that day. It took us 1.5 hours to get through one line. Saw they were running only one car on the track. Fine. We realize all of the rides hve over hour wait times. Weird. As we're walking throughout the park, over half the rides are closed. That would explain the massive wait times everywhere else. We ended up on 3 rides our whole time there. It was disappointing for the price of the ticket.

Save your money and go to knoebles. This place is ridiculously expensive and confusing. Very poor signage and maps. Employees are rude anx unknowledgable. And im sure thr number of people they let in at one time is against code and i will be investigating that.

This was our second visit, the first being 2 years ago. We did 1 day ticket through credit union that came up around 10.00 cheaper. The second visit was a bit better than first.
POSITIVES
Classic feel while adding modern rides to keep with the times
Great coasters
Something for everyone from baby to elderly
Zoo & waterpark included
Evening before preview - you get in 2 hours before your park day - nice perk!
Complementary lockers in park
Food was good
Cups of water free
NEGATIVES
Lockers in waterpark are 18-25.00. I feel these should be free. It’s major price gouging.
Parking is 25.00 - should be free or cheaper.
OTHER THOUGHTS
Park is very hilly - nothing they can change but keep that in mind . Wear good walking shoes I wouldn’t consider visiting when it’s extremely hot. We lucked out and it was in the 80s.
Waterpark is packed in afternoon - probably better to wait until late afternoon although they close at 7.
Food is expensive like any park. Plan that into finances. Bring snacks. Eat good before you come. We didn’t do the meal plan, but that might be a good option?
Fast pass- we did this the last time we came and I was not pleased with it. They oversold it to the point it wasn’t even worth it. Half the rides were closed (we were there opening day) I asked for my money back they wouldn’t give a refund. this time we were here in the summer and they were even more expensive. It was too crazy expensive to take that kind of a risk. I guess if it’s a one time deal and you want to hit everything, it might be worth it but otherwise, I would say no just wait in the lines and save the money.

Hershey Park was extremely crowded and we were only able to go on 2 rides. Due to the long lines to get on the rides. We spent most of the day in the water park as trying to get on the rides was a waste of time. So we basically wasted almost $300 to go to the park. Trying to find seats in the water park was next to impossible. Due to the overwhelming crowds. There was barely no soap in the restrooms we went into. This is clearly not hygienic for anyone going to the park. In the food areas of the park. There would be mounds of garbage. They need to employ more people to pick up the trash I. The areas where they are serving food. Also, they are racially profiling people of color. While entering the park the security guards are only sending people of color to secondary searches. If you are looking for clean, hygienic and racially inclusive amusement parks, then go to Six Flags Great Adventure. Hershey was extremely expensive and a huge waste of my $300. $300 for 2 rides!

Clean and well maintained park. Some rides were operating slower than they should have been that’s for certain. Food prices are the usual overpriced grub found at all amusement parks. With two full days we were able to hit every ride, some multiple times, not have to run between every ride and hit a couple shops and such at a slower pace. We got the discounted rate at $45 a day offered during our visit. Glad we visited but no rush to run back. Lots of other parks out there to see.

This is a rare year in that I visited Hersheypark twice this summer, both in the month of July. I was there about a week apart as this park was part of summer travels for two different friends and I. Both visits were very good. The ride crews did a great job moving people through the line. The rides were in good condition, and employees were friendly. The food was good. The park was clean. It is hard to go wrong when visiting Hersheypark.

Great fun for a family with teens in that loved the roller coasters. We did notice that the walk ways to the rides were filthy and could use some cleaning.

Please let people know this is a cashless park. Went to buy food. Don't take cash. Left my wallet in the car. But had plenty of cash. Also arcade you got use credit card to get a credit to play machine. Two grandsons, gave them both 20 .00 credit. One had 4 dollars left one had a dollar. Wanted to play one game at 5 dollars. But you can't combine them. Also need to stay open a little later in the summer. Seven o'clock is to early. Worst park I ever went too. Sorry but I won't be recommending Hersey Park.

We were visiting the park on Halloween because it was rated as the best horror amusement park in 2023. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and took advantage of the moment to enjoy the park, the terror, and the nighttime visit. It is definitely an incredible park and with the Halloween theme it is amazing, you really feel like you are in a horror movie. I highly recommend visiting this park.

The fact that HP’s hours are 11-7 in peak summertime is ridiculous. You pay $25 to park, which should be a criminal offense, and that gets you the privilege of walking a mile to the park or taking a crowded tram.
We got there at 10:30 to an enormous line waiting to enter. The line started moving around 10:50 and moved us in pretty quickly.
We took off straight for the Comet as my son wanted to ride it. We get there and the ride is closed. Head to the Sooner Dooper Looper and got on with no problems. My husband went on to ride Skyrush and waited about 20 mins. We headed over to Laff Trakk…another ride that was currently closed. Went on a few more rides and changed into bathing suits. The Boardwalk has minimal shade and lines for the slides were 30-40 mins. We ordered a pizza for $30 and it tasted like cardboard. We brought one water bottle in the park per family member and we were able to refill water for free at the filling stations. Kids were finished waiting for slides so we headed to Lightning racer which had hardly any wait and was a fave ride. My daughter wanted to go see if Laff Trakk was running and it was. We waiting almost TWO HOURS to get on this ride. Absolutely insane! Fun 1 minute ride but NOT worth the wait. Headed to trailblazer, not a long wait. The clock was ticking as closing time was looming. Got soft pretzels which were AMAZING. Kids got ice cream and we headed towards the Comet. It was running but the wait was too long. Headed towards the exit to see if Candymoniums wait was doable….nope. Had to exit through the gift shop and was enticed by The Sweeterie. Spent $9 on a small piece of Take 5 cake and it was practically flavorless. Do not recommend that one. Kids got chocolate covered Oreos and loved them. Overall we got on half the rides we wanted to go on due to long wait lines and extremely short hours for an amusement park in summertime. Next summer we’ll be heading back to our old fave…Knoebels. Hershey, you need to get yourself together and open earlier and close later, or limit the capacity so people can ride more than 6 or 7 rides.

(Hershey Park Review 2025) I went to Hershey park again with my family this year. I have a suggestion for Hershey park involving ride safety. I really enjoy the twizzler twisted gravity ride, I did not feel safe while riding because you were only secured by a lap bar and nothing else someone’s kid passed out while on the ride and they were kinda hanging. I suggest Hershey park should add shoulder and upper body restraints. I did not really care for the lightning racer, the ride was very jerky and shaky. me and my granddaughter both got headaches when we got off. I had lots of fun with my family at Hershey park this year other wise, so many fun rides! my kids and grandkids loved them.

Perfect place to spend quality time with family. Park was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful

Absolute failure at handling the crowds! They created dangerous stampede type crowds on entry! Poorly trained staff! Upcharges at every corner! Terrible food service and quality throughout!Total lack of proper signage and/or maps to assist in navigating the park! The Hershey App is useless. Completely miserable experience for our family! No consideration given to the customers experience! They should limit the number of guests daily so that they can maintain safety and improve customer service. They appear so completely money driven that they have forgotten it is the customers experience that dictates their reputation and their return business! The way this company is operating honestly expresses a complete disregard for the experience of families who attend! Thanks for providing one of the most expensive frustrating weekends I have ever shared with my precious grandchildren!

In my opinion, Hersheypark was fine, maybe even good. Was more or less what I expected.
The park is large and I found the layout somewhat confusing. There were directional signs but they tend to disappear. The park is clean but I didn't find it particularly well-maintained. The lines were long and several rides randomly seemed to shut down. I know all the theme parks do this but I find the Fast Track program to be very elitist. If you have plenty of money...you get to the front of the line. But I guess that's our world.
The seal show was all of about 10 minutes long and basically a teaser to get you to buy a photo. I did see a band at one point but that was it as far as entertainment. Hersh and the Kiss were available for photos...but didn't seem to have all too many takers. Chain restaurants seem to dominate. Like do they really need a Starbucks?
My kids mostly enjoyed the waterpark. Super Dooper Looper was fun...and we liked the original log flume and even the old school carousel. Lighting Racer was great.
We only did one day in the park but if we go back, I would probably split it into two. Water stuff one day and rides the other. That way you don't have to spend the entire day at the park...you can get back to the hotel early and relax by the pool. (We stayed at the Hotel Hershey and loved it).
Bottom line, theme parks are what you make of them! And they are especially great if you have a high level of patience. Wasn't "wow'd" by Hershey but wasn't disappointed either.

Very disappointed that Hershey was willing to sell me a full price ticket during their Spring hours. Unless you deep navigate the site, you don't even know they have a Soring schedule. We are VERY familiar with the park and have gone for years. But 1 week before their Summer schedule the park only opened on Fri. and the weekend. We were there Wednesday. Ok. My bad. We drove home and came back with our granddaughters Fri. Well, the park was flooded with middle and high kids that came from a music competition. It was wall to wall kids with a few chaperones. WORST of all half the rides were CLOSED. If you wanted a roller coaster your wait times were over 2+ HOURS or little baby rides...
Now, food...most real food vendors were closed. The sweet and junk foods were open. There might have been the smoked meat place allll the way on the far side of the park. But by the front, Subway and the Grill easily had 100+ people in line. We paid a lot more but were able to go to Chocolatier restaurant. WHY DIDN'T HERSHEY OFFER DISCOUNT TICKETS OR JUST CLOSE THE PARK FOR THESE KIDS.....which by the way were jumping every line we stood in!!!
At 5:30 pm...1/2 kids left and Then some other rides did open. But the park closes early right now so we ran around like crazy people trying to let our kids experience what we could with what was open. What a cluster of a day. SO, please navigate the site when you purchase tickets, find deals and make sure you aren't shoulder to shoulder with added guests that made the park dangerously crowded...P S. The water rides weren't open of course.. could you imagine the melee if it were? Hope you have a better time than we did.

NO LONGER FAMILY FRIENDLY. I went to the Boardwalk with my grandchildren. The signs state NO REVEALING BATHING SUITS but there were numerous women wearing suits that clearly exposed their buttocks. Every staff member I spoke to said that there was nothing that they could do about it. I did not appreciate my very young grandchildren being exposed to this and also having to explain why their butts were showing for everyone to see

The park is very good, with great roller coasters and lots of options for all ages.
But I don't recommend anyone to go there, especially on weekends. The park gets crowded, with mile-long lines to do anything!
If you want to play on the slides, you'll have to wait 30 minutes in line to get a simple float! And then when you get to the slide, you'll have to wait another 15 minutes in line to wait your turn to slide. If you want to relax in the "river", you'll have to wait another 30 minutes to get an available float.
Why doesn't the park provide more floats? What's the difficulty?
Did you buy the soda that you can refill as many times as you want? Another 10 minutes in line for a simple refill! And at the end of the afternoon, in that heat, you won't find any more ice available. You'll have to settle for hot soda.
1 hour in line for a simple ride on the mono trail!
Want to eat some chicken or a hamburger? Another 45 minutes in line to buy.
Want a beer? Only $15 a bottle! (when you can pay less than $2 at the supermarket).
Wave pool? It wasn't working on Saturday afternoon.
We spent 2 days there with the family. On Friday it was ok, we “only” waited for 1 hour on the roller coasters. On Saturday, it was impossible to do anything.
45 minutes for a slide, with 30 minutes waiting for a float? No, thank you.
3 hours for a roller coaster? No, thank you.
The park should either rethink the number of people per day, or it will continue to receive thousands of complaints from customers.
All for profit, without thinking about the well-being of the customer and the quality of the services? No, thank you.
Unless you are willing to spend even more and buy a fast pass, this park is not worth the time you waste in the endless lines.

The abundance of food places and huge amount of rides is impressive. If we were younger, we'd have enjoyed them. However, finding our way around inside the park was frustrating. It's like a crazy maze, and the winding trails & steep hills were exhausting. Even using the map on the app and the map stations in the park didn't help much finding our way around. The skyway chairs were closed & the monorail had to close halfway through the day before we got on it. For us senior citizens, that left the ferris wheel & the little train as the only rides we could enjoy. Also, be prepared to walk up big hills. We enjoyed the animal park and Chickie & Pete's Philly Cheesesteak was excellent. Glad they had the free chocolate world attraction & we bought way too much candy which our grandkids will "inherit."

Just went to Hershey with 2 families consisting of 9 people. We visit Hershey almost every year for Halloween and I have to say this was my least favorite visit. The park was overcrowded to the point where we were waiting 1- 1.5 hours for a coaster ride. When the park opens at 2 and closes at 10 the amount of rides you can get on is significantly reduced. Throw in the high entry fee and parking fee and I believe Hershey is going to price itself out of a significant portion of the people who want to visit. Hershey needs to work on speeding things up and making the entry fee more reasonable.

I've been going to Hershey Park for many years. I will say that the employees are always excellent--very polite and helpful.
The problem now is the increasing popularity of 'fast track' passes. We went Friday of Memorial Day weekend with a music in the parks school group. There were so many school groups in the park that day that it made us wonder how many large groups Hershey will allow on site at one time; it seemed that there was no limit set on this.
All of these school groups however were at the mercy of the guests who had paid more to get 'fast track' passes (a la the crappy Disney fast pass system). These school kids waited in endless lines while ride operators just continued to let large groups of fast trackers with orange arm bands ahead of everyone.
It's just such a shame that parks do this and force everyone to either play the 'you can't beat them so you gotta join them' game or just stand around watching the grass grow in line. What is next for amusement parks --the Uber fast pass that will let people with gobs of money bypass the regular fast trackers? It's crazy. Won't be going back anytime soon. I always like Hershey before because it felt like they were a more independent style park that cared about the community (Milton Hershey School etc.) but now I think they are just grabbing as much money as they can.

The park has really gone downhill over the years. Too many people and long wait lines. The people that have decided to come have been rude and trashy. People with no shirts and wearing their swimsuits throughout the park. Far too many “wife beaters” for me. I hate to say this but Disney is more enjoyable. The same thing has happened at Knoebels as well.

It makes me sad that Hersheypark, which should be a great Family theme park gets ruined by an absolute lack of customer service and broken systems.
It started in our first night during a meal at The Chocolatier. I won’t get into that here… you can see my review of that.
But the next morning? Renewed and refreshed and wanting to start off in a good note. But it was not to be.
First the parking. Even if you arrive 30ish minutes prior to park opening and are one of the first several dozen cars there, where they put you is still quite a hike to the entrance since they force you to walk around Chocolate World. But okay, we got past that.
Then we stopped at ticketing/customer service right outside the park gates to redeem our games voucher we had pre purchased to get extra games credit. After some confusion about how to do it they gave us our card and we were on our way. Breezed through the gate.
Stopped at the first game (Plinko) and our card wouldn’t work. No available funds. So he tells us we need to go back to Guest Services. So we do. The lady there tries to fix it but says “well it is a games problem so games has to fix it” and tries to send me back through the park to another location. I told her I’m not walking halfway through the park right away just to fix tbeir problem. So she calls the games manager up to come up front. He arrives over 10 minutes later and hands me our card with credit on it. But when I explain to him that we have now wasted 45 minutes of our day on this (time is valuable at places like this) and missed the opportunity to get in line for some key rides early, he’s like “well sorry. I hope your day gets better”
Finally made it into the park, got faces painted, all of that was great, then live further in and our youngest wants a bubble wand. So we go to the girl at the kiosk standing there setting out Wands and she says “oh she can help you over there” and half-hearted gestures in a direction. So we go to a girl who is sticking a cooler and I say “she said you could help us”.” She looks up at me from her stocking of Gatorade, glares at me like “can’t you see I’m busy” then finally stops and walks over to the register so we can pay.
I get it. It’s hot. They’ve had a whole summer of dealing with probably some very rude people. But we were not rude or loud or unreasonable at any time. It’s just likely eh overall vibe here is “You’re going to keep coming back no matter what I do so who cares if you’re actually happy”
Do better Hersheypark. Maybe take a page out of Disney’s customer service playbook

We went for candy cane lane to see lights. So many lights were not on or blown out it was not worth it at all. I can see better Christmas lights driving around town. We were totally disappointed.

We went to Hershey Park on 8/1. The group consisted of me, my husband, my son and our two grandsons, ages 8 and 12. All in, the trip cost us close to $1,000 with the addition of Fast Passes. What a joke! Virtually nothing but kiddie rides for the 8 year old - he was extremely disappointed. Lines were long, even with the Fast Passes. The map and signage are horrible. They show you places to eat and buy merch, but not much else. We spent literally hours slogging through a crowded park just trying to find rides. I wouldn’t go back there if you paid me.

You get to ride on about max 2 rollercoasters without a fast pass on a busy day. I am not exaggerating. We waited 2.5h for a 60s ride. The park is also really spread out (spatial planning was obviously not a priority), so you lose a LOT of time just wondering around trying to reach attractions.
Priority obviously goes to fast pass holders and since they keep coming, the rest will just sit there and wait, as if we got in for free.
Food for the most part was an abomination, even airplane food looks and tastes more appealing. And Starbucks- when you decided to open a cafe inside a theme park, did it occur to you that maybe it’s wise to hire more than 3 employees to handle everything? They were overworked, yelled at by annoyed customers, kept getting orders wrong from being overwhelmed… 45min wait to get coffee.
The water in the water park was at almost freezing temperatures, literally all the children were blue in their lips. The rides are not particularly safe either, mu kids fell off one of the tubes and almost drowned,
Definitely better theme parks out there! This sucked the joy out of our family trip

It is a very nice and large park it takes more than 1 day to be able to take advantage of all the attractions, unfortunately the day I went there was not working 1 game of children but the rest was all good, there is a great variety of food places.

Hershey is a great park! So much to do. We went for two days, and could have even made it three and not gone on all the rides! There are many rides for little ones, and for big kids too. There are about 15 roller coasters! The water park was so fun, which is included in the admission. We didn't even get to ZooAmerica, which we would have loved to do. Oh, and don't forget Hershey World, where we took the "factory tour" ride (free) and they gave us samples! which was fun for all ages. Highly recommend this park!

We are locals and have been going to the park for decades. While not a cheap family day, Hershey is great because there is something for everyone: kiddie rides, thrill rides, shows, Chocolate World, the Boardwalk water area, and ZooAmerica. Tickets are often discounted if you go for more than one day, and there is plenty to do for multiple days.
Most of the negative reviews seem based on the lines, so here are some tips to avoid them:
Arrive early! Harder now that the park isn’t opening until 11, and season pass holders get in a full hour earlier. Arrive at least an hour prior to opening, take a spin on the ride in Chocolate World (it opens earlier than the park) and then get in line about half an hour prior to park open. Head straight to the rides you most want to do when you get in.
Avoid Fridays and weekends if you can. With the exception of Sunday evenings, these are the busiest times.
If the Boardwalk water area is your priority, head there first, or do a two day visit with rides on your first day and water area on your second day. This area is mobbed by the afternoon. Also, logistics can be difficult with renting lockers for your stuff; it’s easier to go in wearing your swimsuit and not worrying about where to stuff your towels while riding the rides.
If you only have a day and your goal is the thrill rides rather than kiddie rides, water area, and the zoo, consider purchasing Fast Track. Yes, it’s expensive, however pricing fluctuates based on day of your purchase, with certain dates and weekends more expensive than others.
Eat at off times - 11:30 am or 2 pm. The food places get MOBBED. Eating a big, late breakfast, getting a heavy snack, and then eating lunch after 2 would avoid a lot of lines.

We love this place! We went once last year (2023) and decided this year to become season pass holders. Best decision for our family! It is a great place to spend a day or a few days. There is something for everyone!

This is a nice park. Clean. Decent staff. But wow. So expensive. I guess I live under a rock. $136 for two discounted tickets and a discounted parking pass. $15 for two hotdogs. $20 for two milkshakes. $20 for an all day drink cup (it paid for itself with my son and I sharing one cup). Went on a Thursday after most of the schools were back in session. Arrived at 10 and waited for the gate to open. Season holders got in at 10 instead of 11. It was so hot waiting. Got in and made a run for a small locker at Boardwalk. $20 for regular size locker. I forgot how sprawling and hilly the park was. And in the 90 degree temp it was miserable. My son was able to ride 11 rides, with wait times ranging from 10 minutes to an hour. If it was this bad on a Thursday after the start of school, there is no way in the world I would go here on a weekend. And the fast pass situation was annoying, but there was no way I’d spend another dime. Sorry Hershey. Love ya, but wow.

This was our first (and probably only, since we are not from this area) trip to Hershey. Everything seemed nice and clean. It was a little understaffed, maybe due to our current state or possibly because a lot of the staff is seasonal workers and it isn’t summer yet. Our only issue was the layout for the park. It seemed scattered and unorganized. The gift shop and Chocolate World were very nice and fun. Cute themed park with lots for everyone

Not worth it. Sorry to say. Poor ticket value. Overcrowded. Expensive basics and upgrades. They wanted 120 to upgrade to fast pass after waiting in line for 2 hours. For some reason this park has fallen from grace. Poorly organized.
Instead take the family to Silver Dollar City in Branson

We brought our 3 children to Hershey Park over the Labor Day weekend. We were extremely excited to finally be able to visit this park, however, we left extremely disappointed!
We spent over $300 in one day tickets and my children only rode 3 rides in the entire day. No exaggeration! There was trash and food all over the place and no workers in sight trying to tidy up the grounds. In Hershey’s defense, it was a very busy holiday weekend, but clearly they lacked the staffing to organize the wait lines better or to make sure the rollercoaster seats or any seats on the rides were full each time. Not to mention there were no staff trying to upkeep the premises or the public restrooms. They were a mess!
All rides were at least 120 minute wait. The water slides ranged from 60 mins to 120 mins. The app indicated that the lines were only 20 minutes long (which was also wrong). You have an option to purchase a fast track ticket to skip the lines for double the price of the entry ticket, but not all families have the luxury of being able to afford purchasing fast track tickets!
When you purchase a soda or got a refill in one of their souvenir cups at a soda filling station, you have to wait for an attendant to swipe the screen to gain access to the soda machine. There were approximately 20 people in line very upset they could not get an attendant to help them. We purchased 5 cups for approximately $25 and the machines had no ice, just warm, flat soda. We walked to another soda filling station and still no ice. Very disappointing especially on a very hot summer day.
I honestly do not like giving bad reviews to anyone, but Hershey’s zoo is an absolute joke! There were barely any animals to view. They had one bear, one mountain lion, one alligator, and honestly nothing much else to view. We did not see the bear or the mountain lion because they must’ve been hiding somewhere in their enclosure. What type of zoo has one animal of each? I felt bad enough that those poor animals are enclosed, but at Hershey Park, they are also very alone. It is a very sad looking zoo! Save your money and time!
Sadly, we did not enjoy our time at Hershey Park and will absolutely not be returning! Save your hard earned money!!

Had a nice experience at Hershey Park. It was an amusement park on a Saturday in August so we got what should be expected - it was hot, crowded and exciting. They don't take cash so make sure you have your plastic with you. Drink package was a good idea. Wish the lines to wait for the rides were covered so that there was shade. Overall, nice clean park and a good way to spend the day.

We had a nice time even though the park was super crowded. Shops and Chocolate world had cute items to buy and the pretzels and cheese we snacked on were excellent. Parking and tram was a breeze. My only complaint is they only had one person working some stands (kettle corn literally had one person doing everything, we ended up leaving the line as it wasn’t moving at all) and only one monorail was running. The operators weren’t filling the cars either so we waited forever. Other than that the decor was lovely and all in all in was worth the trip.

I loved this place. The coasters and flat rides are great and they have 3 amazing Intamin coasters. Gets very crowded but I still had a lot of fun. I am going back this year. The only tin that they needed to do was to RMC Wildcat and now they are doing that. Wildcat's Revenge looks awesome! It is kinda overpriced though. I would definitely recommend it.

Fun park that isn’t overly large or complicated to get around. Lots of rides for any age group. It rained while we were there so a few food shops and rides closed down, unfortunately, some of those closed didn’t reopen. I also think there are some renovations going on so a few sections seemed to be completely closed. There are a lot of cute shops and food kiosks throughout the park. All in all, enjoyable day.

Super fun park for small and big kids! We are a family with a 7 yr old and a 14 yr old, 1 day wasn’t enough.

The park is clean and fairly easy to navigate. Parking was easy.
Other than that I don’t have many positive things to say.
We had to wait in line 20 to 30 minutes, even for the little kid rides. The ride operators were extremely slow with no sense of urgency to get through long lines of people. They were running rides with empty seat seats and empty rows. There appeared to be no effort to utilize all the space available for seating on each ride, which made wait times much longer.
They would walk slowly around each ride, checking seatbelts and ride bars but again it was as if they had no sense of urgency. To be fair to them they all should’ve had some help. Each ride operator was by themselves operating the ride. Which gave them a lot of things to do each time the ride turned over for a new set of guests.
The “free ride” at chocolate world was incredibly anticlimactic and boring. We waited in a huge line to get on it and there was no warning that we would end up waiting over 40 minutes to get on it. Had we known we would’ve never gotten in the line in the first place.
Many of the ride lines do not have any exits so that if halfway through waiting, you decide that you want to exit the line. It’s impossible to do so.
I would never make any effort to go back to this park again. If I had to do it again, though I would definitely buy some sort of fast pass otherwise your day will be miserable, waiting in lines for hours. Even for a stupid carnival ride like the pirate ship.

Stayed at the Hersheypark Camping Resort and used the free bus to the park so we didn't have to pay $25 for parking. This park is a multi-day park if you would like to do everything that you can. Took advantage of the free preview Friday night and sweet start both Saturday and Sunday morning. Went to the water park Saturday and rode the coasters on Sunday.
Try to avoid the water park on a Saturday!!! Our experience was horrible. The wait times for the pool and lazy river were outrageous. The wait for the water coaster was outrageous as well. It seemed the Fast Track to general admittance rate was 4-1. The lines were so slow, the whole water park was crowded, and we missed out on a lot of rides because of this. Also, bring shoes if it's a pretty hot day out. The pavement will burn your feet otherwise. The park knows this because there is a shoe store conveniently positioned a little past the entrance. There are free shoe cubbies near the entrances to Breaker's Edge and Whitecap Racer.
As for the regular park, the lines were pretty long but doable. I think if we did not get the free extra hours from staying at a resort our experience would have been way worse. Very confusing layout and the signs are helpful only half of the time at best and are inconsistent. The staff members were super friendly. There were free water fountains throughout which was a definite plus.
I certainly feel the wait times and crowds are something that need to be addressed. I don't know the correct solution, but a cap on attendance in the water park or a higher price for allowing people to cut in line would be some sort of start. People are clearly willing to spend over $100 to cut in line even if they seem to decide to complain about the high price afterwards. By buying Fast Track they are adding to the problem of why they are saying they absolutely needed to buy it in the first place.
Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. I do recommend camping at the Hersheypark Camping Resort as a cheaper alternative to paying $25/day to park and having to pay to stay at a separate hotel and missing out on the Preview Night/Sweet Start perks.

This is a great park but way over priced. Their fast pass is really for only roller coasters. This is where they need to take lesson from LegoLand and include all rides even for kiddie rides. Really my only complaint is about their fast pass.
The water park and cabanas are well worth it to be away from everyone and private entrance into lazy river.

No cash, my 9 yr old is too tall to ride the kiddie rides? Thanks for ruining our time, oh and expect to pay an extra $200 for fast pass otherwise you will only get in a couple rides. They don't care how long you wait, way to cater to the rich. Veterans and handicap deserve that not a trust fund kid who never worked a day in his life. I won't ever return

I went yesterday with my son and his father for ours sons birthday as a gift to him upon entering the lines were crazy long and with my son having autism he was not good with waiting in lines for over an hour long but we tried or best to do so. The wait times were just terrible and having a child who cannot wait in line was not a pleasant experience! For the birthday boy it was not a good day and were upset and it ruined our day! There was also kids cutting in line as well! The food and drink were not good! The employees also measured my son like 3 times before entering rides and was clearly reeses size! I did not like this experience whatsoever!

I read on their site that was handicap parking in short term which is what we wanted. On arrival, we asked the parking attendants where the handicap parking was and he was rude and said go to 70. We went to 70, it was empty of cars, there wasn't any info on catching a golf cart, tram, et. We went over to the tram, again, another rude man told us that we had to park wherever and catch the tram. These people are supposed to be happy considering they are working at Hershey instead of being Snots. The company has lost a customer- What a horrible place, we left without making my candy bar. Shame on Hershey and their snotty employees.

This is the best theme park in the area especially if you have a variety of ages/interests in your group. We love that kiddie rides are dispersed throughout the park instead of all in one location, so instead of one person being stuck in kiddie ride land all day, you can easily take turns swapping between watching your child on the kiddie ride and riding a roller coaster. The zoo gives a nice break during the day. The treats available are of course absolutely amazing, my favorite is the giant donuts. I am absolutely obsessed with the gyro place near Great Bear, it's tucked in a corner so it's never as crowded as other eating areas and the food is amazing. Overall we just love that there's something for everything here so if you have a mix of young kids, older kids, adults who are thrill seekers, and adults who are just along for the ride, everyone will still have fun, unlike other theme parks we've been to which tend to only be geared toward kids or only roller coaster lovers.

Fun day at Hershey Park. Although it was crowded, the lines were all moving. Enjoy spending time with your teenagers while in line - waiting can be more fun than you think. Lots of Christmas lights and decorations up around the park. We ordered lunch from one of the subways in the park and it was a normal subway meal at a slightly higher price. We buy two season passes for our family of five, and supplement with the free passes the park provides. Some years we end up having to buy a couple of admission tickets. Free, close, parking, drinks and a discount on all purchases make it worthwhile!

Love this park. Water and ice is free throughout the park! Staff very helpful and nice! Bathrooms were clean and located throughout the park. Love the app that tells you the wait times of every ride.

This was our first visit to Hersheypark; my husband and I took our 2 grandsons, ages 6 and 8 for 2 days.
The park is a very clean, the staff members were very nice and the rides are great! It's a little difficult to navigate with a stroller-hills are a bit hard to push with 2 tired kids in the park rental stroller. And yes, I rented one for a 6 and 8 year old..I have had too many experiences with tired, cranky kids and walking🙄
I feel the signage could be a bit better-directions were a little hard to follow, even with the Hersheypark App. But, then, I am not the best with directions, so it may just be me.
There's lots to do and see, the park itself, ZooAmerica and Hersheys Chocolate World. Word to the wise....you get chocolates everywhere, so if you have kids.....'nough said.
Hersheys Chocolate World tours are pretty cool. Definitely makes reservations for one or two or more if you have the time and funds. We did the making your own chocolate bar. It was neat, took about 30 minutes and you get your own created bar and personalized wrapper.
I tend to compare every amusement park to Disney (I'm a major Disnerd) and this one is quite nice. Disney is always a 10 for me, so Hersheypark would be a 7 to 8.
2 days is definitely enough to see and do all, the lines are NOT very long, most waits were less then 25 minutes and some were less than 10.
They do have the typical arcade games which, like everyone I've seen, are overpriced and not worth it. But, I have 2 boys and I succumbed to the "Please!!!!!!" of little faces and spent too much for nothing.
There are plenty of places to eat,so you should be able to find something. Chocolate is, as I said before, EVERYWHERE.
If you decide to go, stay at one of the Hersheypark Hotels- Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge or Hershey Campgrounds. They provide a free shuttle to the park and you get in earlier. Plus there are some other perks..check out the website.

Went yesterday for the first time and will never go back- the lines were absolutely ridiculous - 2 hours for a roller coaster, 1 hour for bumper cars? The bathrooms were filthy. Couldn’t pay me to go back there.
I went to six flags Holiday in the Park a few weeks ago and there were lots of rides open with NO lines -

Took the family to Hershey Park as part of our family vacation. It is a huge area with all kinds of things to do. It is a caxh-free place. Everyrhing you want ro do needs to be but on your credit card. It is expensive. We checkwd online and got tickets foe the 4 of us and it was almost $300.00 plus $35.00 for parking. It is a fun place but be prepared for alot of walking and to spend lots of money.

Security here is lacking big time, when we went there security stopped us and searched my wife’s purse and we went through a portable scanner where three security staff were working it. There was no detection when I went through, I explained to one of the security guys that your machine isn’t working and they asked me to go through again and again no detection. I explained to this guy you machine isn’t working to which he states how do you know it’s not working, at this point I showed him my ID and badge and explained that I was off duty law enforcement, he tells me the machine is not setup to detect my badge to which I replied your not understanding what I’m trying to tell you. One of the three understood and asked if I was wearing a sidearm to which I replied I never leave home without it, they then asked if I could show them and I lifted my shirt slightly to let them know I had a holstered sidearm and they again asked me to go through this portable machine and again no detection. I was trying to stay low key as I understand some people get nervous around firearms but the one was a clown and seemed to enjoy challenging me. He went on to explain to me I could not carry on the property, as I explain to him I’m carry under authority of the law enforcement officers safety act which is a federal law, he goes on to state this is private property and we the right to deny you the right to carry. This is 100% true, but it’s suppose to be posted in a clear manner, and it baffles me that you wouldn’t want certified off duty law enforcement on your property as long as we check in with your security and identify ourselves. This is the whole point that the law enforcement safety act addresses and is part of homeland security since trained officers are out there. I ended up leaving and will never attend here again, what’s funny is my large state agency is about to have a event there and is selling discounted tickets for the park. The one young black security officer was most professional and thanked me and offered to make a phone call to his supervisor to see if they would allow me into the park with my sidearm. I told him no thank you, I’m leaving this is ridiculous. I did call and leave a voicemail to security but never received a response, again it astounds me that you don’t want trained certified off duty law enforcement carrying in your park since it would be added security in the event of a tragic incident. I’ve gone all over carrying a sidearm and in such cases checked in with security and had no issues maybe had to sign a waiver but that’s it. Your equipment doesn’t work, you have some security that have issues with real law enforcement he probably was denied entrance to some department and enjoyed this interaction. Train your staff and revisit your policy and allow off duty law enforcement to carry, I have no issue signing a waiver. I’ve been a LEO over 20 years, I never know when I will come across a former customer, I primarily carry for the protection of my family.

My family had a fantastic day here at Hershey Park. Recommend going night before during free early entry and riding your favorites. Next morning go to Water park inside first and grab a locker. Water park gets very busy around 12:30/1. Then we changed into our dry clothes and hit the park for the rest of the day. Everyone had a great time!

If there is a hell on earth this place is it! Unfriendly employees, broken down rides and LONG HOT queues with no shade was the theme of this day! To top it all off the park was also full of disrespectful high school and middle school aged kids on school trips that line jumped all day with not a park employe or chaperone in sight to manage any of it. I’ve been to A LOT of amusement parks in my life and this is without question the worst of them all and it’s not even close! Avoid at all costs!

We haven't been to Hershey Park in 10 years and we had fun! We bought the two day pass online and also the parking passes. The second day they just let us in without paying for parking. So, I wouldn't recommend buying parking passes online.
We arrived to the park on 10:30 (opening time 11) and the line was already long. I would not pay the extra $90 or $130 for fastpass, since I thought it was too expensive. Most of the rides had 15-30 min wait. We went to the park on a Monday and Wednesday in August. The longest we had to wait in line was 2hours for the Laff Track, but that might be because the water park closed cause of a possible storm. My kids were disappointed when the water park closed and they were only able to ride the lazy river (which looks like a long wait, but the line moved fast) before the water park closed.
My kids favorite rides were the SkyRush and Great Bear. This park is very hilly with alot of walking. So wear comfortable shoes.
Hopefully we will be back soon.

Let me start by saying we had free tickets and I still think we overpaid! They were short staffed (not their fault) but instead of making reasonable changes to ensure a good experience for everyone, they just took as much money as possible with no regard for quality. First, we paid $25 to park. Then we had to walk A MILE to the entrance. No shuttle (short staffed). We went to the water park, paid $18 for a locker, and proceeded to find out that there was a 90 minute wait FOR THE LAZY RIVER! I've never even heard of having to wait for a lazy river! We had to wait in line for the play areas. The entire area is dark plastic flooring which burns your feet (wanted to ask someone a question and literally couldn't stop to do it because the ground was so hot we couldn't stand still). There clearly needs to be a limit to how many people are allowed in the park and the water areas at a time. I would have been furious if I had paid the ridiculous ticket price to be able to do so little. The whole park was poorly run and I was quite disgusted by the whole thing - will not go back.

Agree with previous review, customer service has gone way down. I understand it’s hard to find employees, but Soo many things were shut down and extremely long lines ALL the time. My biggest complaint is the overall cleanliness of the park. Bathrooms smell, trash overflowing, etc. Why in this day and age is smoking of ANY kind allowed at a family park? The smoking areas are a joke! You can still smell the smoke all over and people were vaping and smoking in lines and many other places other than smoking designated areas. Do better!!!!

Went to the park on the 15th for the first time in at least 10 years (Just moved back to the area). Lots of things changed, mostly for the better, and brought back a lot of great memories.
Got to the park just after opening and there were pretty long lines waiting to get in. Figured it was a nice day out and everyone had the same idea to go to the park. Unfortunately this was a sign of things to come.
We first wanted to get some food before really heading in and found most of the open food places having really long lines. To make matters worse, it looked like they were understaffed and not all the restaurants were open, so those that were had a significant wait. It just got worse as the day went on as the place we went to around 7AM took us over an hour just in line for food. One cashier, one cook, and one server. It was pretty painful.
The rides also had incredibly long lines. We decided to get the FastTrack because if we didn't, we'd only be able to go on 2 or 3 coasters the entire day. Again, I think a big part of the problem was staffing and they weren't able to efficiently secure the riders quickly, so trains leaving the station seemed slower than normal. My favorite coaster, Storm Runner, only had 1 side working.
We really didn't seem much Halloween theming, so it just looked like another day at the park. Later at night they turned on the fog machines which gave a cool atmosphere, but if you're looking for anything like a Halloween wonderland in the normal park area, you'll be disappointed. We did not check out any of the dedicated Halloween areas, though.
So all in all we had a fun time, mostly because we paid extra for the FastTrack pass. If we hadn't I think we would have left with a much more negative view of the day. The food line was enough to sour the experience, but we made the best of it.
Just be aware that on Saturday you'll likely get the same number of people in the park as a summer weekend but with half the rides and restaurants open. That on top of the major staffing problems, expect to wait. A lot.

I have fond memories of Hershey Park from my childhood and was thrilled to be able to continue on the tradition with my own kids. It didn’t fail to delight with fun rides and scary coasters.
The park was spotless and was happy to see that the park had Purell at the entrance and/or exit at most rides.

Dirty, crowded and ridiculously priced. I expect crowds and high prices, but overflowing trash cans and eating areas and attractions that smell like bathrooms is where I draw the line. It’s not the same experience from a few years ago. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Hershey is a big park in which you will get your steps in. I love that you can go to the zoo and chocolate world all in the same area. There are plenty of places to eat. I highly recommend downloading the app as there are dining deals that will save you a few dollars. I also recommend the preferred parking because after a full day of heat you won’t want to walk far and preferred is right near the gate. I recommend starting in the back of the park and working your way forward. Warning, there will be crowds. You can bring a bottle of water in to the park. They have areas to refill them near the bathrooms. There are many rollercoasters if you like those. The kissing tower will give you a view of the whole town. The milkashakes are great and if you can’t get one at the chocolatier you can walk over to chocolate world where they have one in the back corner.

We had awful experience, we will not back, we aske for money back .
I have NO IDEA what their typical capacity is but It can’t really be anymore than what we saw because the crowds and waits were ridiculous.
I don’t think the point is to have less rides open with less crowds as that just makes the lines just as long for the rides that ARE open, but that’s what happened. Several rides weren’t open so the ones that were had waits of 1-3 hours.

We rented cabanas for the water park. When we got there the best parts of the water park were closed. The cabanas were very expensive! When I talk to guest services they refused to reactive the issue.Instead they just made it worse.

We are a roller coaster family, so I was super happy that we finally made it to Hersheypark.
There is plenty to do here, the rides are great (Skyrush, Storm Runner, Wildcat's Revenge, Fahrenheit, and Candymonium) plus it's laid out very neatly unlike any other theme park I've been to.
We went on a Monday, so the crowds weren't terrible, although it does still get crowded in the middle of the day.

From the second I had to deal with a poorly run security line I knew this was going to be a long day
Staff seems to be poorly trained and complacent
Lines everywhere. You might spend 75% of your day waiting in line to get food, use the bathroom or go on a ride.
Park is cashless, which would work if it sped up transactions, but seemed to have the opposite effect.
Waiting 40 minutes in line for food, with 1 register open (other registers were closed), while 4 kitchen staffers stare at us with a full slate of food behind them ready to be served. Employee at the register is having to deal with credit card chip errors, QR code errors on phones. Instead of having another employee coming out to help with the bottleneck, they just stand there.....frustrating.
Had to watch a ride attendant slowly and methodically finish eating his kiwi before he opened the gate for the next turn on a kiddie ride. All these things just add up to an experience that felt like you were a nuisance to the staff, and they had a general lack of awareness.
Went back the following day to go on the Chocolate Tour. For whatever reason parking for that was free (and right next to the park opening). The day before we paid $35? for parking to go to the park and walked what felt like a half mile. The chocolate tour part was run much better.
Wouldn't recommend for family's with smaller kids. The park is too hilly, it's hard to find any quick snacks or drinks anywhere, lines are too long
Disney type prices for a carnival like experience

Hershey park has the worst customer service. I understand there's an inclement weather policy. My family and I purchased tickets for 2 days in the Spring when they had a special price. We made plans in August for a weekend and got a Airbnb. The Saturday we went it took us a hour to get into the park due to traffic, paid. 25.00 for parking, walked all the way to the water park, decided to get lunch and waiting for 45 mins. in line, went to get a locker and that was another story, went to go in the wave pool and it was closed after being open, then decided to go to the lazy river and there was a 2 hour wait, then all of a sudden the rides were closed. We never went on anything and decided to leave since we had plans that night. Sunday we went but go on 2 rides with the long wait times. I requested a refund for Saturday since I don't live near Hersheypark and won't be there again by the end of the year and was told "no" and was threatened to be reported for harassment since I was sending emails and trying to get my email to the CEO. If you buy tickets and it's inclement weather, they will take your money and run. Very poor customer service. I will never go or buy Hersheys again.

So incredibly inefficient. I think every single ride operator is a zombie. You will wait and wait and wait and wait… on a Wednesday. Not even a weekend! The management ALL need to be fired immediately.

Was our first time there. We went to the water park as well as a few rides. Had a blast going back soon

I've been coming to Hershey Park for more than two decades, and I always have a great time. The park is priced appropriately and there is plenty to do there in terms of rides and other attractions. The park is always clean, and with few exceptions the staff is normally quite good.
My personal favorite ride is the Laff Trakk, which is an indoor roller coaster that is both exciting for everyone and older kid friendly.
I highly recommend a visit to Hershey Park!

Very disappointed, poorly managed,
1). Lines were long (90-120 mins), an approximate wait time indicator, flow optimization mechanism, among other methods would have been nice
2). Several rides were out of service. 1 or 2 is understandable, several in the magnitude of 7+ is simply unprofessional, not deserved to be in the business.
3). Food and drink were expensive, such that a drink was 6 dollars, and the lines were also long.
3/29 visit.

Hershey Park Halloween and Dark Nights September 30, 2023 review. This is long but if you’re debating about buying a Fast Pass and if it will be worth the money keep reading to the end and I think you’ll have your answer. The park itself has an excellent selection of roller coasters and attractions and is well maintained and landscaped. While we still enjoyed some of our time there, our overall experience with the Hershey Park version of “Fast Pass” will hopefully help others decide which way you want to go if you are debating whether the additional cost is worth it. Please keep in mind this was not a generic summer weekday experience and the month and year of our visit I am reviewing this so you’re not reading this several months to years down the road and the options have been revamped so you can take that all into account. This was for a 2023 Saturday noon to 11pm Halloween event and was exceptionally overcrowded. We are used to Universal Studios Express Pass system for both their regular parks and their Halloween event and I was aware the differences between what each park offers with Hershey’s Fast Pass being geared towards majority of their coaster attractions and Haunted Houses if you choose to add that on as well for this event. (You can purchase combo fast passes for coasters/haunted houses for this event or have the option to just buy for coasters or the haunted houses) I think with the ride portion of the Hershey Park Fast Pass herein lies the problem with their current system: while Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure have more space overall to work with to include more Express Pass lanes for their rides, by them also including select non-coaster attractions helps to spread the crowds out more that utilize this feature so the Express Pass lines are significantly shorter no matter what weekend, holiday, special event or what have you going on. We fortunately, well turns out this was actually unfortunately, had the first day of this Halloween event this year that it did not rain and was gorgeous and sunny so we knew it was going to be bad crowd wise as we drove to the park before we even saw that first Hershey Kiss street light in the city as we approached. Having bought the Fast Pass for both the coasters and the haunted houses, we still had hopes this would lessen the chances of spending hours in line while still fully expecting an increased wait time. Well, it didn’t quite work out like that. I expect 15-30 minutes waiting but the 60-80 minute waits in some of the Fast Pass lines seemed a bit excessive for the coasters. Now I’m not saying you never load from the regular line….good grief you have to keep that line moving too and nobody expects to just walk right on a ride just because you have a fast pass but a 60-80 minute wait for some of them seemed rather excessive. I think Hershey hasn’t figured out their Fast Pass/regular line ratio that works for them when they are overloaded with guests. Each coaster attraction just seemed to make it up as they went along. One coaster seemed to be what you would expect….maybe 20-30 minutes since it was so crowded and then you’d get to another and it was like passing the 60 minute mark and you’re seriously questioning at times if you made a wrong turn and joined the wrong line. ;-) Again, nobody expects to never let the regular line move….but they were way off on their ratios and need to take the Universal Studios stance which is “Yeah, we know we know we know….all these Express Passers keep sucking up all these seats but they paid extra for that so either buy an Express Pass for yourself and join them or continue to stand there and scowl at them. That’s the way it is in the theme park world now and enjoy the rest of your day here at Universal Studios!” ;-) The roller coasters are very thrilling so they are coming up with some good ones if you are a coaster fan. There are decent non-coaster attractions to choose from as well but with the crowds, we personally did not want to stand in line for say 90 minutes to ride the monorail when you have limited hours. I.E. The monorail was only open noon to 5 that day so if we chose to ride it, we knew we would be sacrificing other more thrilling options for 90 minutes so we passed. Food and drinks are what you expect….overpriced but we all know Hershey Park isn’t a non-profit. They are no different than any other theme park and will nickel and dime down to that last French fry to make all they can per day. Can you imagine how expensive it is per day to operate? I wasn’t shocked at all to spend just over $50 for three basic burgers, one order of fries, and one drink to feed a family of three for lunch. The money has to come from somewhere to keep that power on to keep them coasters rolling along. ;-) As for Dark Nights which began at 6pm and ran to 11pm, well, if you’ve been to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights you probably will forever judge every theme park Halloween event after based on the amazing job they have done over the past three plus decades they have been running it. Hershey Park is still finding their way but haven’t been at it as long so they still need some time but they’re doing well with what they currently offer. Most certainly they are on the right track for sure. They have three “Scare Zones” with the fog and the bubbles and the lights and all the themed hooplah you are there for in designated park areas you can walk through. (Important to note for those that do not enjoy that or have small children who scare easily, you do not have to walk through them and they can be avoided from 6pm on. There is no possible way to “accidentally” wander into one as they are clearly marked as well.) They have the people hired to walk amongst you and try to get jump scares sneaking up on you. They did a decent job and I’m sure it’s oodles of fun to work at when it goes well but while not overly intense or exceptionally frightening, even though clearly marked as scare zones and you do not have to enter these areas, some of the smaller kids were absolutely terrified as they were wheeled through in their strollers or were forcibly marched along in there by their family…it actually made you feel horrible for them and I can’t imagine the position it puts the actors in. They are hired to scare adults and kids old enough to understand the fun and thrill in these clearly marked zones and here we now have a small child who is absolutely terrified, crying and near hysterics so they’re trying to dial it back and just end up hanging back twiddling their thumbs because look here comes another crying child being forcibly walked or wheeled through in their stroller. Take note……you know your child best. If they are quite young but they love the thrill of a little more intense Halloween jumps and scare fun without it being too far over the top, roll that stroller on in and you will all have a blast. If not, you have other options. I am not quite sure what some thought was going on in these zones and why they seemed so aghast that their child was absolutely terrified. The areas were clearly marked as “scare zones” not “super happy family friendly laugh let’s all hold hands together and tell funny jokes zones” and as if the huge signs outside them weren’t enough of a warning this was not a “family friendly” area, some still trooped those tiny tots on through and then still acted completely taken aback that those terror screams and tears from young kids inside these zones weren’t coming from say the giant Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup man and Hershey Kiss lady in their costumes giving a silly family friendly puppet show. You can also avoid these scare zones if it’s not for you and still enjoy Halloween there. There is trick or treating for ages 12 and under down the Boardwalk area of the park which was adorable to see all the little ones lined up for in their little costumes so excited. (And there was massive line for that let me tell you…..judge best yourself if 8-10 pieces of candy is worth your time when you’re there vs other attractions if overly crowded. You do what you feel is time well spent for you and your family/friends.) Onto the Haunted Houses….so honestly if you’ve been in one….you’ve been in them all. They are all essentially the same in all of these parks and this includes Universal. The theme changes but they are essentially the same. There’s not a lot different you can do with them but change the layout and theme but we still enjoy experiencing them. So, for the night we went…..if you didn’t have a Fast Pass you would have spent the entire night standing in line to do the four houses….if you were lucky enough to get to all four haunted houses. I don’t think it could have been done to do all four without a fast pass. We waited with our fast passes maybe 15-20 minutes for the first one we did. I think the regular wait was at 90 minutes at the time we entered the line so finally the additional fast pass cost was paying off. Well, not so fast there fast pass holder. We went immediately to the second haunted house and oh after about 20 minutes it starts to really click that nothing is moving and you’re not imagining it. Neither the Fast Pass or regular line. So you know there’s a problem somewhere but you’re stuck. You can’t see far enough ahead to see how close you are to the front and then behind you is now an even bigger line so certainly if the attraction was stopped Hershey would make an announcement or send employees up the line to announce a delay and give you the option to wait it out or leave and come back later and try. Hershey wouldn’t just leave a few hundred people standing in a non moving line with no explanation, right? Wrong. After 45 minutes we took the lead from some others and got ourselves out of line. By the time we reached the entrance back peddling through the huge line behind us we asked the staff working the entrance if something happened and they just said the attraction was now temporarily closed. Not closed before we got in line….it closed between us entering the line and getting stuck with hundreds of others at some point and they never thought to say send an employee through the line to announce this so you could make a choice whether to stay standing or go enjoy something else and try again later. I thanked him and wished him well because he was taking a lot of needless shouting from people. He’s not running the thing, he’s standing there hired to tell you to go to a regular line or fast pass pending what you purchased. Yelling at this poor kid that you stood standstill for 50 minutes isn’t going to get you and your family a special “us only” immediate haunted house experience. Complain in your head and move along, don’t take it out on innocent staff members. We did find out later there was a small fire inside and this caused the shut down. Now, they didn’t need to go running through the line screaming “Fire!!! Run!!” and cause a stampede but a simple “this attraction has temporarily closed we think it may be such and such time before it’s back open….you’re welcome to wait or go enjoy another attraction and come on back later” would have worked wonders. (I highly suggest management at Hershey Park attend a “service recovery” training sometime to find more helpful tips like…..oh let me just whip something out here….common sense?) So we brushed this off and went to the third haunted house which seemed like it had an excessive amount of people….like….really excessive so this was either the best haunted house currently in the United States or something is wrong here. Let’s guess which one it was? We then saw on the sign outside of it that ANOTHER haunted house was also now temporarily closed….so now just what do you think happened? Yep. If you were there for the haunted houses you were now down to just two to choose from for awhile….not the whole night….but a long enough amount of time it caused an incredibly massive influx of people to just two haunted houses so good luck if you didn’t have a fast pass because you were going to lose at least 90–120+ minutes (and I’m being generous) of your night and the houses only operate 6pm-11pm. Now, you cannot fault Hershey when they have to shut down things temporarily. You gotta roll with it and don’t let it ruin your night. Yes, it’s frustrating but safety is more important than walking through a dark temporary pop up tent with a few people inside to yell things like “Boo!” every second or so. However, to make up for being down two Haunted Houses, they then started pushing you through these massively overcrowded things in groups of like 40-60 people and let me tell you that you were hustled so I am quite sure some that while some very much enjoyed their 14 second haunted house experience they just stood in line 120+ minutes for, I’m gonna guess the majority did not. The staff inside just like, literally gave up at this point because can you really try to jump scare people when you’ve yelled and/or done the same thing 23 consecutive times just before in 37 seconds? So you can see how that went. The actors didn’t understand why all the sudden groups of 40+ were getting pushed through and with getting pushed through all the guests got on their end was knocked into complete strangers repeatedly like a cattle line up and you saw absolutely nothing. Again, you spent a lot of money to be there. Everyone in that park did. Please do not let it ruin your time there when things go awry. Don’t take any frustrations out on employees. This is not a theme park they are running in their own personal backyard, this is a major theme park they just have a seasonal job at and are not responsible for managements questionable decisions as to how it operates when it goes off the rails. Hershey Corporate got their money already so it’s not hurting them if you toss yourself around ruining your own experience complaining instead of trying to make the best of it. They aren’t going to start tossing random truckloads of people out of the park because it’s too crowded for your taste and the lines are too long just to please you and your family no matter how much you squawk about how much you paid for the day to a random employee. Join the club, we all way overpaid for what we got that night. ;-) It was a gorgeous Saturday night and while we tried to avoid part of the chaos spending more money on fast passes, it just didn’t work out for us. You may have a totally different experience or maybe you were there the same night and had a 100% enjoyable time. We all have different expectations so if Hershey Park Halloween completely rocked your world 9/30/23 you go on with your bad self and savor those memories you made! :-) However, if you’re debating “should we/shouldn’t we” when it comes to fast passes I don't want to say don’t buy them because without it…maybe we would have done 2 haunted houses given they were down 2/4 for awhile and if we were lucky maybe 3 or 4 coasters given the crowds during the day and maybe 1-2 non-coasters ….but even with it….you feel quite jipped and this whole fast pass is just a Corporate additional money grab because Hershey isn’t quite at that level where the cost meets the expectation. You can’t please everyone…..we all know this….but they do have some major tweaking to do because for now, we will not be doing another Hershey Halloween anytime in the near future. I think we will have a much better time on a regular non-holiday summer weekday with no special events or concerts scheduled anywhere in or near that park or surrounding area. At this time, I’m even hesitant to attempt that. I do not personally feel their current Fast Pass system is designed with their “let’s pack that park until it bursts at the seams” days in mind. The Halloween is good…..don’t get me wrong….but if you get a night like we got you need to go in fully expecting you are only going to be able to do less than 1/2 of what you expect when buying fast passes and spending all that money on them does not help that much when it’s an overcrowded day they haven’t yet figured out how to deal with. Hershey is gonna pack as many people in to that park as they possibly can each time they open that gate and that is no different than any other theme park anywhere……but I was severely dissatisfied with the fast pass and it did not live up to the almost $500 extra we paid for them. I’m certainly glad we didn’t do the “unlimited ride and haunted house version” which is even more money because on 9/30/23 there is no way the cost of that paid for itself unless your goal was to just continuously ride the Sooper Dooper Looper again and again and again from park open to close and did absolutely nothing else and even that’s a stretch to justify the cost. ;-) At least thanks to Trip Advisor we have a place where we can legit leave tips and advice for others to genuinely help to decide when weighing pros/cons of fast passes as opposed to sending it to the Hershey Park Corporation where most certainly a stock cookie cutter “We are so sorry to hear we fell below your expectations but all of our other guests enjoy our current fast pass system and are so sorry you aren’t like these imaginary guests we just made up to make it seem like you are the only one who thinks there is a problem here because we don’t want to stop the extra money rolling in! We will share your experience to improve *cue nothing actually being addressed ever* with the team and we hope to see you again in the future! Have a Hersey Day!!! *cue laughing because they got their money from you and that’s all that counts* emailed response. If you’re attending soon, I wish you well on your Halloween journey and may all the haunted houses stay open the night you’re there and your Fast Pass lines actually be worth the inflated price you paid! :-)

Absolutely terrible visit. Been years since we've been here due to health reasons and were excited to go. As it was the last week in August, just before Labor Day weekend, we decided to purchase the FastTrack tickets, which are not cheap. Note: The FastTrack tickets for the Waterpark are only valid on 3 rides. Also purchased the Preferred Parking Pass. That was a waste as several of the water rides, to include one of the rides that was on the FastTrack, were not operating. Numerous other rides not operating, souvenir, gift, food shops etc. were not open. We were told by numerous employees (Guest Services, Ride Operators and their website) that closed toe and heel shoes were required on all rides, glasses, and other lose items had to be secured with a strap to ride rides, and that water rides required water shoes, that no sneakers, flip flops, etc., were allowed on the water rides. Had to buy water shoes and safety straps for our glasses, which were not cheap in the park, only to find ride operators letting people on the rides in bare feet, flip flops, sneakers, etc. What a waste of money. Employees didn't know anything about where things were located and pointed you in wrong direction, and that was if they spoke understandable English. We were considering Season Passes for next year, but after this visit, we'll be looking into other parks. In addition, and I know they cannot control this, there were not as many customers (now I know why) as I expected being the last week in August, so there was no reason at all for the FastTrack or preferred parking.

This is the best amusment park in America in my opinion. It has so many options to choose from, and the nearby locations are great. Chocolate is always a happy thing, and the options of coasters to choose from make it a very enjoyable experience.

This place is huge! Make sure you have comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to walk a lot. Lots to do and see. Very big

Everyone won here was poopy. The chocolate guy is poopy. Chocolate town? More like poopy town. I’m pretty sure the chocolate is made of poo poo. I have a son named agustus gloop, and he fell into the chocolate river. Willy winks told me that the river was where they make the chocolate. I haven’t seen my father figure in years. I’m pretty sure my son was made into poopy chocolate on the way out. And don’t even get me STARTED on the poopy guest rooms!!!!!!! I had to wait 69 minutes to get into my room, and my legs hort!!! And I had to sleep on straw since I had nowhere else to sleep. The lines were also very poopy. Everywhere you go there is branding. This place made me not like chocolate. 1 star very poopy!!!!!!! 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩👏💩💩💩💩💩💩

The park is clean and well kept with lots seating for rest periods/ waiting for your group. The ride operators and staff were quite pleasant. We visited Tuesday after Memorial Days for less crowds, but lines for rides, food, etc were EXTREMELY long. Many rides were closed and the App showed short wait times ( 5 minutes) that were actually an hour. The park music was overly loud and annoying. For our family of 11, paying 700 dollars just for the entry was a sad waste.

I could not be MORE disappointed in my experience. First of all they are charging a whopping $39 MORE per person on top of the $59 ticket price just to do the 4 Dark Night haunted houses which is ridiculous! Worst yet you really needed the fast pass to be able to see them all before the park closed since the Dark Night attractions do not open until six pm. AND the fast past is MORE money making 1 ticket $129!!!!
Worse yet they require you to use a wrist band which would not print out at the kiosk requiring us to wait in line 37 minutes with guest services to fix - ONE person working with a supervisor instructing them. I suggest they properly train their employees so TWO people could have been helping the guests.
We also used the app to try and avoid the longest waits. Well the app said the wait for Storm Runner was 45 minutes. We waited in line for THREE HOURS!!!!!!!!! It wasn't until after we were standing in line for almost an hour that the app updated to say 240 minute wait time. Had the app had anywhere close to that wait time I never would have stood in line and after an hour was invested waiting we were committed and didn't trust the app to go anywhere that had a short wait time posted.
Completely feel like I deserve a refund as the best part of the trip was the chocolate world milk shake and I didn't need to spend $89 per ticket to get that!!!!!!

Bought a 1 day pass instead of the night pass expecting to be able to arrive at the park around 2pm. It is a Friday but the park doesn't open until 5pm. The night passes start at 5:30pm. If the park doesn't open until 5pm, why would I spend an extra $20 a ticket for what, an extra 30 minutes? Non-refundable tickets. Nice.

This is the best roller coasters I have ever seen, and I have been obsessed with roller coasters since! I loved comet and next time I go, I am totally going on more roller coasters such as Candy mounium, great bear, super dooper looper, and more! Very pleased and excited to come back!

Amazing park! I am a rollercoaster girl and this park marked all the boxes for us! Tons of family rides and small kid rides spread all over the park instead of just one area which was great to keep moving around since the park is so large. Great food options, park was clean and the bathrooms were too except for at night it seemed like the bathrooms were a last option. Great seeing the characters all over the park with short lines for meet and greets. The water park was also so much fun, def do the water coaster it was worth the wait, we will be back. Spend time in world of chocolate & if you go to the chocolatier get the filet & jolly rancher margarita!

Beautiful park, horrible wait time. You’re lucky if you can get on 3 rides for the day. Wait times are ridiculous, worst then waiting at Disney. Their fast track system is horrible. Even to get food is about a 35-40 minute wait on line. Half the worker seem incompetent. My family will never revisit this park again. It’s just not worth it.

Visited on a hot summer day, we'd never been there before. Lines were very long to get in at opening and it was crowded that day. Enjoyed riding several wooden roller coasters- many parks seem to be getting rid of them for rides that loop and roll, but we enjoy the older, wooden coasters and they had a nice selection. They also had a kennel, which was a plus. They allowed entry into the park the evening before with a next day ticket for a few hours to preview it, also a plus. We also liked that the water park was included in the admission price.
On the downside, they did have a small zoo but most of the cages/enclosures looked very small and some of the animals looked stressed. I'm sure the animals are well-fed and cared for, but I felt sorry for many of them being in such small areas. One poor box turtle was continually trying to climb up the back wall of his small tank, felt sorry for him............giving these animals more space to explore and more enrichment activities would help. Also, lines were pretty long for the more popular rides. There were lots of rides for kids, a plus if you're a parent, but not a lot of shows or other entertainment for older travelers. Food choices were decent, and all things chocolate was fun, but prices were also expensive so we didn't buy much. It was nice spending a day exploring though, would likely go back again sometime.

Ok here are the facts
1.) peak season open 11a-7p
2.) looong lines combined with #1 means your riding 5-6rides at best. If you want to bypass lines you pay $90/person/day
3.) $25 to park lol
4.) signs are more general, bathrooms that way but we’re exactly not sure
5.) over priced food, $10/slice of pizza
6.) it’s hooot here, they don’t have any shade over the lines.
To sum it up … This place is something you can just skip. Avoid the lines, save the money. Central Pa people are not pleasant to stand in line with.

The staff is friendly, food was good, and the grounds are pretty nice. That was the good part. Now for the bad part; The lines were horrendous. We can assume this was because there were approximately 18 rides/attractions not operating. Only one of the three drop towers were operating. We attempted to use the Hershey Park App to determine which rides had the shortest wait time. However, the app is grossly inaccurate. The app claimed the wait time for the Jolly Rancher Mix'd was 30 minutes. In reality my kids waited 2-1/2 hours! This is ridiculous! Every other ride was the same situation. With this many rides not functioning there should have been a discount in price. You can go to other, better, more capable parks in the area like Dorney Park and the kids will actually be able to ride rides.

We always went to Hershey every year and had the best times. To keep up with tradition we went this year. What a disappointment. Everything is overpriced and very overcrowded. Over 2 hour waiting in line for each ride. They have crammed a lot of new rides in so you can’t tell one ride from another. We only went on 3 of rides since the park is only open from 11 to 8 and they start shutting everything down around 7 and the long waits in lines. They charge almost $60 a person and $25 to park, making you walk miles to the park no shade no place to sit and walk uphill to stand about 2 hours for a ride. Then we were almost trampled on while waiting for the tram to take us near parking. No organization and people were just coming to the front of the line. I paid almost $60 a person for this! Definitely will never return! Time to find a new tradition!!!

We had an awesome time on a Sunday. The weather called for rain, so the park was empty. It never rained, so all the coasters with the exception of Skyrush were running. No wait times is always fantastic. The park was clean, staff friendly.
We did the preview the night before, Saturday, and got on a few rides. A lot of young boys, maybe on trips, behaving poorly. Watched one throw ice at a woman walking by with a stroller. Hershey has always seemed to dodge this type of stupid behavior - hoping it’s not a regular thing.

While the weather was crazy hot, the park was still a good time overall. Lines were shortly (likely cause it was crazy hot) and many of the rides were shutdown (not sure why), but we still managed to have a good time. A lot of people seemed to be at the water park (again...hot), so that made getting on the other rides super easy. Some of the older coasters seemed to be shutdown (wooden one), but the newer coasters got the blood pumping for sure. Food is standard for theme park concessions, although prices weren't really that awful. Parking was easy, we did the "come late pass" and arrived when many people seemed to be leaving. We did this, as we wanted to be there at closing to observe the fireworks display for the 4th of July weekend. Worth it! Awesome show! We missed some of the other attractions that only ran in the earlier hours, but...fireworks!!! The only frustrating part were the sheer number of vending machines that were not working and/or stocked and concessions that ran out of basic supplies. We wanted a Gatorade to combat the heat, but every machine we tried for like half the part was either empty or turned off. This should be an easy thing to maintain by a park attendant. And to purchase food with fries only to hear that they don't have any ketchup was just insane - get on a radio and ask for some to be delivered. Outside of those little things though, the rest of the day was money and time well spent.

So my friends invited me to go to Hershey with them today. I was excited, but all of the roller coasters were closed. I was most looking forward to those, and the only one opened was the “Jolly Rancher Remix.” I went on it and it was fun, but still disappointing. Last time I went, I went on 14 rides in 7 hours, most were roller coasters, others were water. Today, I went on 7 in 5.5 hours, no water rides. Such a disappointing visit. Will be going again, but I’m making sure that all the rides are open and the water park.

I have been to many theme parks with young children and to say the park was inhospitable would be an understatement. We went for Spring Break and more than half of the age-appropriate rides were closed. The lines for everything else were so long we waited over an hour for a tilt a whirl, 45 minutes for a smaller roller coaster and gave up 90 minutes in to another smaller ride before leaving. 4 hours, 2 rides and we had to leave. We couldn’t even get food because the lines were so long. When I asked customer service for a partial refund due to the closures I was offered a percentage off the next set of tickets which I declined - why would I ever go back? If you have big kids, get the fast pass, if you have little kid, just go somewhere else.

One of the best parts of Hersheypark Christmas Candy Lane is watching the Christmas lights flash to Christmas music in the ‘hollow’. Last night I was waiting for the light show telling folks around me how great it is. Then the show started and it was embarrassing. In previous years, nearly every tree in the hollow was decorated. Last night the 50’ Christmas tree and two other trees were lit up. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately apologized to the people who I told how good it was. I know much of the rides are closed due to the cold weather, but it can still be enjoyable walking through the decorated park. Unfortunately, the best part wasn’t there. have family visiting from out of town and I was planning to take them to CandyLane. Not now!

One of the best experiences for me and my family. Loved the park and the town. The town tour was very informative. The story of Milton Hershey and his wife is very touching. To learn about the Milton Hershey School and the good it does for under privileged kids showed me this man is not celebrated enough.

Overall it was fun for all ages whether you’re a kid, teen, or an adult. The food was decent there wasn’t many halal options. All the rides were fun and I felt safe. But I got sick a day or two after the visit so it would be nice if they could clean it a bit better. (P.S don’t go in the Reese’s ride with the blasters unless you have kids 6 and under)

We visited on a Tuesday and had a great time. Parking was easy and the rides were fun. There was one coaster not working but most of the lines were fairly short. Towards the end of the day, we could walk right on sometimes. If you’re a thrill seeker, this park is for you. Plenty of rides for smaller kids as well.
Candy-monium was our favorite, right near the entrance. Although oddly, most of the other rides have random names that have nothing to do with Hershey or candy. Once you get past the chocolate-themed entrance, it was just like any other amusement park. They really don’t stick to the brand very well. It’s also strange that the water park is right in the middle, but we didn’t use it.
The meal and drink pass were worth the investment. The two of us were able to share one pass by splitting meals and taking short breaks throughout the day. You can get a meal every 90 minutes. The burger was really good. We never had to wait more than a couple minutes at most. There were plenty of places to get water as well. Since it was a weekday, a few of the smaller kiosks were closed.

Very fun unique amusement park! We had a great and happy we went. A lot of great roller coasters and various non coaster rides all hershey themed.

In our opinion, Hershey is the best amusement park in the region. My daughter is a bit of a roller coaster aficionado and we make it a point to come every year. And while the coasters are great, there's a little something for all ages. Fun stuff.

My son is a coaster enthusiast and this is his favorite park so far. It is a deal to get the park, Waterpark, and zoo in one ticket.
The zoo is a pretty walk but very small and I would not suggest paying to go separately. We only saw a few animals.
The park is setup somewhat strangely which causes many extra steps, but overall this is a great park.

My group of 9 family members (ages 12-50) had a lot of fun. We arrived at about 10am and stayed until after 7pm. There is a good range of types of rides and levels of thrill. There were a lot of great rollercoasters. I’m so impressed by the size, cleanliness, and fun of this amusement park!
My tips: Plan on the water park (bring a swimsuit and towel) if you enjoy water slides and getting wet … and if you do, you should either plan on a “mom” watching everyone’s gear or just pay for a locker right at the beginning of the day. It is worth having someplace to drop your stuff. We also recommend the endless refills on the drink cup. Get it at the beginning and stay hydrated via the easy refill stations located all around the park. I was also glad I had the HersheyPark app for the map and wait times for comparing lines.

My family and I visited Hershey park over the weekend. We bought the FastTrack passes because on their website it did not state age or size. Well we get there and my son is too short for the FastTrack rides. I called to see if we can get these passes credited for next summer and because I did not visit guest services that night as the park was closing and the children were falling asleep they claim there is nothing they can do. If you are not riding the roller-coaster, don't purchase FastTrack. I was told there is nothing they can do. I won't be visiting Hershey park again because their customer service is the WORST!!! They clearly are not the sweetest place on earth!!! They need to be responsible for what they post and if there is a height and or age requirement you need to state that on your website so you clearly know. Not clearly posting it is a “Gotcha” moment and I don’t appreciate it. I called and was told I could get a credit for 4 fast-tracks but then Eric or Debra hung up on me. Totally not a happy customer.

I am unable to ride the big rides anymore, but I can say this place is really cool! My daughter and friends said everything they rode was top notch! In our 1 day there, they were able to ride everything they wanted to. We were there on a Tuesday, so the lines were not terrible. I think the longest they waited for anything was around 45 minutes. I enjoyed the monorail and the Kissing Tower. There are dozens and dozens of delicious food options for everyone's tastes. The layout of the park is a little odd in my opinion, so keep the app handy for a map. We did not go into the waterpark. Overaall, Hersheypark is an excellent theme park and should be on your list if you enjoy these types of places!

Don’t waste your time or money for Christmas candylane
Mostly baby rides open. App doent work some coasters open 2 hour wait .when park is only open from 2 to9. 7 hours not enough time.
Complete waste of my time and money
Shame on hershey for reduced hours and $48 fee to do nothing but get aggravated

I went there today(9.17.22)with my family and some of the workers need to be educated about their special needs accomodations and on kids with special needs in general. I stood in line for about 20 min with my son to get him a pass, as he is not able to sit in long lines. 1st ride I went to get him on, the employeee completely ignored me even when I said loudly excuse me(I know it's noisy and have to speak up). She looked at me popped her gum and turned around and proceeded to start the ride. I didn't feel like making a big scene so I decided to take him on a different one. She looked at us and said we don't take those. I went to a 3rd ride and was told "I don't take them but I'll let him in". Excuse me???!!! Like you are doing us a favor or something. The only good thing I have to say is, the man that was working the kissing tower was amazing to a different little boy with special needs but unfortunately by then my son was sleeping so he didn't get to go on it. Why even offer accommodations for special needs if the workers simply don't give 2 craps about it. Horrible experience!

What a waste of money! First $25 to park is absolutely ridiculous. Such greed. Price of the ticket is $77 and then they charge $25 so you can park to get in and use what you paid $77 for! Parking should be a nominal fee if any at all. What other business do you pay to park to use their facility where you are going in and will spend more money!? Can you imagine Giant grocery store charging you to park before you shop for groceries??
The lines for rides are totally out of control. Most waits were at least an hour but some were over 2.5 hours. So we managed to get on 4 rides. Four rides for $77. What a deal!
There doesn't seem to be a limit to the number of people that are allowed into the park. No maximum number of people?? Again, most businesses have a limit to the number of customers in the store/place at one time It's pure greed on Hershey's part. What used to be a great family experience that made great memories turned into a day that so much money was spent a weekend get-a-way elsewhere could have been done. For one day and 4 rides!! Poor kids standing in lines so long that it takes hours to get on a 90 second ride. Who thought this was a good idea? Oh yeah, the greedy people at Hershey. Done with Hershey Park.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. What a disappointment. The park was obviously over capacity. You could not walk without being bumped into. It seems as if the park is more interested in revenue than customer's safety. The water park's wavepool was closed due to poop. The lazy river was 1hr. And a half wait. Most rides were an 1hr plus wait. Lastly, we paid for the unlimited drink refills and every station we went to had no ice. When we asked someone for help they just shrugged their shoulders. We will not be returning again. Don't waste your money! We only were able to ride like 6 rides the entire time. The park was open 10 am to 10 pm.

You would want to have second thoughts before laying out the 50+ dollars per ticket to visit this park. Most of the rides for under 6 were closed. Those that were open had a 1.5 hour plus wait. Very crowded and everyone is aggravated. Don’t waste your time!

Too crowded lots of rides closed and long lines If that’s what you are looking for you came to the right place Aweful experience
Worst
To many people lots kids guess from school trips groups disrespectful long lines only take cards my card would not work to buy my ticket called my bank card good inside it worked perfect to eat no maps so didn't know park since we was from tn first visit and last never seen a park that didn't take cash must be a new think
