Want to revisit your past through the car you used to drive, had your 1st date in, or went to the Drive-In? This is your place. From Batmobile, Scooby Van, Chevy Chevelle SS, Model T they seem to have covered ALL the bases. Sign up for eMail and entry is free. Gift shop if you can't leave without a reminder. Great for kids, Gear Heads, anyone!

Very interesting selection of cars. The museum is loaded with all sorts of interests. At times, it can seem to be very crowed, BUT VERY interesting!

We were driving by this car broker and stopped in to take a look. Two of the four of us are interested in cars but all four enjoyed seeing both the classic cars and the movie promo vehicles like the Mystery Machine, Batmobile, and Star Wars racer.
Stop by when in the area.

Today was not a beach day so we went to see the classic cars and trucks, modified cars, hot rods and a few replicars. It's very well organized if a bit tight for viewing some vehicles from a few steps away. Quite a variety given the space available...lots of GM stuff: Chevs; Camaros; GTOs; Corvettes; Chevelles and Olds.A few Fords from the late 20's on. Everything is interesting and nostalgic. Gift store with metal sins etc. A couple of Willys modified coupes which looked great. Told that the selection changes regularly. Missed seeing any Jeeps or Jeep memorabilia given the iconic status it enjoys in American history. Nevertheless we would recommend it....admission is free.

Upon entering it is mind boggling to see so many vintage cars from so many time periods and what a selection !!! Staff is very welcoming and will answer any questions you have, and they don't mind how long you take to ogle all that beautiful metal !! and did I mention it's FREE !!!

The last time I was in this building, years ago, it was a DeSear's and I bought a widescreen television.
Today, it is a palace of automotive perfection.
Ideal indeed.
There are magnificent cars within and anyone who has ever enjoyed the open roads of yesteryear, even the roads of the present, anyone who appreciates the automobile, will be thrilled and wish they had a '57 Chevy to work on, carburetor and all.
Pay a visit, when in Venice, car fans. Bring a hanky for either tears or drool.
Either bring along Uncle Jed from Beverley Hills or a honkin' checkbook, because these beauties aren't likely to roll out the doors in your possession.
I have friends coming into town next week, and I'm going back with Bob.
Maybe I should bring along a defibrillator just in case.

We took our son here and he said, "how long do we have"? The place is full of beautifully polished and restored antique and unique cars, like the batmobile. There is something for everyone, but mostly American cars. 1957 Chevy convertibles, Corvettes, Mustangs, and awesome specialty cars. Anyone would love this place and it's free. Just register once the first time you go in, and after that you can keep going back like we do.

Stopped in with a car buff friend from out of town. We were very impressed with the wide variety of rare and historic vehicles on display. They ask you to register with them but there is no charge for admittance. Some vehicles are for sale and customer service/sales persons are available to answer questions. There was no sales pressure at all and we had an interesting discussion with the service rep on several unique vehicles. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Displays change frequently as vehicles come and go. Will return again.

Showed up unannouced to shoot an amazing variety of restored vehicles: all for sale. Lots of vehicles close together. Lots of signage as well. With some planning and communication I have been assured that the signage can be removed temporarily. Call ahead first, a couple days, to give this business some lead time and someone will be glad to respond to your needs as a photographer. Lots of potential here.

great place to see hot cars in a cool SW florida place, always a different selection. Fun to look at for free

Wonderful place to spend a few hours looking at some classic cars. Nice friendly staff welcome you to look around at an amazing car collection that is always changing.

We were surprised at how many nice cars were in the showroom. No charge to get in but you have to register.

Fun hour looking at their vehicles to sell.
Can't sit in them.
Check their web site for current inventory
Personable, no pressure staff.
Buy a FL lottery tix before you go, ya' never know.

Actually a dealership for classic cars, admission is free and the showroom is packed with old favorites and novelty cars. A funky gift shop tops it all off. Great for the car aficionado or the novice.

We stopped by on a Cars & Coffee Saturday. We strolled by the cars outside - which are brought in by local car owners. Then we went inside their museum & showroom. It was literally packed with cars - that you had to squeeze your way around to see all of them. Lots of fun seeing all the cars of the past. No charge - which is very nice too.

You can just wonder around very close to the cars, but do not touch, and if you bring children, be sure to control . them. It doesn't take much to scratch, streak or otherwise damage the cars. There is good parking and the museum is easy to find.

This is a wonderful collection of vintage, classic and custom cars, trucks vans and motorcycles. It was a trip back in time to when cars really were cars. The styling is great and the restorations are impeccable.
Other than having to reveal your email address, the place is free to roam around to your heart's content. There also are movie cars and celebrity owned vehicles. Because they buy and sell vehicles, each trip will be somewhat different with an ever-changing inventory. It is a wonderful place full of eye candy.

With some time to kill one day, we ventured into the museum and were surprised by the quality of the cars. We also discovered there was no entry fee. As we wandered around the display of @ 100 vehicles , we were truly impressed by the variety and fantastic quality of the "old" cars. Every grand classic was represented, even famous vehicles like the Batmobile. We're local residents and will definitely be going back.

Great spot to spend an hour checking out the cars you grew up with or previously owned. Most of the 'dummies' that are used in some of the cars and as floor displays are quite funny. There is no charge if you sign up for their newsletter. While we were there a chap came in with his disabled son in a wheelchair and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Good people and a spotless showroom.

Great cars in terrific condition. You get what you pay for. I visit this place every time I'm in the area. Also on their email list for the cars of the week.

Great place to see autos that "we used to own". No pressure on the floor from sales personnel, as well as they were helpful with answering any questions. A must visit for the generation that missed out on this group of autos.

Very good display of classic cars mainly from the fifties. Anyone intersted in cars will like this place. There are a few very old cars, trucks and even a Batmobile. Free admission is offered, there are salesmen but they don't approach you. I have been there twice and a few of the cars have changed. This is a nice family event and very enjoyable.

Nice folks run the place and a huge selection of Classic Cars!
Some rare stuff too and most all are for sale.
Not to be missed!

I had an unexpected engine issue with my classic Mustang. The service department took my car in right away and diagnosed and fixed the issue returning the car to me in 24 hours. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend them to classic car owners needing service work done on their car.

This was a very interesting collection of vehicles. Had a great time look at yesteryear. Brought back many memories. Will revisit.

We stopped there with friends to visit the classic cars! We were well greeted when we entered, young man asked us to fill out info and register to enter for free viewing!
Saw alot of different classic car very interesting, clean, and well organized! They make the place interesting with props from back in the day! Its nearly like visiting a museum!

This is a lot of value for being free, and they have a nice collection of about 60 vehicles, some of which are novelty items like three Batmobile replicas (two of the new one, one of the original), the Monkee Mobile, et al, and a couple of faux "Duesenbergs" which share nothing with the original Duesenbergs besides the appropriated names. Most of the vehicles are relatively interesting authentic samples from the 1950's, 1960,'s and 1970's, and are nicely restored and well-presented. Unfortunately, only a few of them have signage so it's not possible to know exactly what you're looking at most of the time. That's a disappointment, but not enough to keep interested car buffs away.

Fun place to stop with family and friends. We bring all our guests there. Kids love it as the have cars from the movie Cars.

Beautiful inside display of antique cars, classic cars, theme cars, specialty cars, price is right... Free admission ...

Always fun to visit and see some great classic cars. Showroom is great and selection changes from time to time.

This has an interesting interior. When I went in I thought it was huge and filled with cars. The back wall is all mirrors so it gave an illusion on hugeness. The cars were a real mix and the older cars were my favorite. If you are a car lover, this is a good place to go.

They have the best inventory of classic and muscle cars in the area. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Do not buy from these frauds! I bought a 1965 GTO and was told the engine was a complete rebuild. I bought this car in January 2020 I’ve put 400 miles on the car since the purchase I paid 60k and yesterday the motor blew up just riding down the road so I’ve spent $4.5k on the transmission now another $5k on the new rebuild then I will need a hazmat team come in to clean my garage I beg you to buy elsewhere

If you are into vintage cars, or are of a vintage age, this place is a must see. It actually is a salesroom for old vehicles, but there is no pressure to buy placed on a causal looker. You can visit this place many times and see different cars every time. The inventory changes pretty quickly. Staff is friendly, the place is super clean and will lighted. Cars are just amazing. Brings back lots of good memories.

We stopped here one afternoon in the rain. It's pretty nice to stroll through this (free) museum and see so many cars I remember from my childhood. It was definitely a blast from the past.

Great place to visit. Great place to take the kids and grand kids.
they have a variety of cars there for viewing.
They are friendly and welcome you to come in and look over their inventory. The place is very clean and free entry

We found this place by chance, and my husband, the car lover, was very impressed. There sure are some beautiful cars to look at, and, if you have the money, to buy. They also have some "fun" ones, Batmobiles, Greenhornet's car etc. All are in perfect shape and so shiny you almost need sunglasses. Friendly knowledgeable staff, free, easy to find, right off the main road, with plenty of parking

Great spot to spend time on a rainy day or to cool off on a hot afternoon. A lot of cars to enjoy for classics to movie themed cars!

When you take I-75 to travel up and down the Florida West Coast, you can miss places and the Ideal Classic Cars Museum south of Venice is one spot that car lovers should not miss. The collection of cars is beyond words. This is also a great spot for rainy or cold days.

Wow! What a wonderful selection of vintage cars and... The Batmobile, no less - not sure if I've spelled that correctly!!! If you want to purchase a piece of memory, this is the place to come. We just went there for a walk down memory lane and it was great.

Stopped by as we rode past. There is no charge and you're free to wander around to your heart's content. Most of the cars are for sale so if you're interested, just talk to a salesperson and you could be driving out with a new car! Enjoyable!

There is a good collection of many different cars here and they welcome you to come and browse. It was a great way to spend about an hour and it feels more like a museum than a sales floor - no pressure or interruptions, but they will answer any questions you might have.

Wow! Register and then tour classic cars for as long as you want and for free? That's my idea of fun. The cars were all well kept and detailed. We took lots of photos, especially the car of my dreams. Very friendly staff there as well. Of course, I asked whether a Mercury Cyclone had ever come into their possession, as I had owned one in the seventies. Unfortunately, not, but I will keep checking.

We only have a passing interest in classic cars, more for their form, than function, but as you can go into the showroom for a browse for free, we stopped by whilst passing through the area during our month long driving tour around FL. Glad we did, it was brilliant!
The only requirement was that they wanted my e-mail address so they could send me their newsletter. A small price to pay to what turned out to be the most entertaining ‘museum’ we had been in for a while. Remember to respect that it is a business though, where they are actively selling the vehicles/exhibits! As the sales staff knew we were ‘just looking’ they didn’t bother us as we looked around.
They have a wide variety of vehicles in stock, not just American Muscle cars, but some European sports cars, commercial type vehicles and vehicles from a few movies, all in mint condition and/or perfectly restored. They have a gift shop if you can’t run to that big ticket purchase. We looked at everything so we were there a couple of hours, time well spent.

We loved this place! Wonderfully restored cars and they are all for sale. Including cars from The Green Hornet, The Munsters, Batman. Great find that we have passed many times and not even noticed before!

My ten-year old son chose this place after doing some research on TripAdvisor. We went, even though I have no interest in cars, and had a really nice time. The classic cars are beautiful. Even though I had no interest before I did when I left. We were greeted very warmly when we walked in. We wandered around at our own pace and saw some really interesting cars. The "movie" cars were the big attraction for my son but he enjoyed the classics as well. Even asked how people drove cars so big :)

Purchased a 1965 GTO. Once delivered I thought I bought an oil well the car was leaking everywhere and transmission fluid along with gasoline out of the carbs!! Don’t buy from this business ripoff. I asked if they would pay for repairs manager said absolutely not see the email Kermit sent me. See email from GM below. I guessing I bought an oil well. Maybe I will even get rich!

This is a great place to look at unusual and classic cars. They have batmobile and other movie cars. It's a great place for bring kids and anyone interested in cars. Most importantly it's FREE!

Great place to spend some time and it's free! No one bothers you while you check out the neat cars and trucks. They also have a car show once a month.

There is something here for everyone!...my grandson went nuts when he saw "mater:" from cars..."herby" was my favorite...the "blues brothers" police car and every car you ever dreamed of owning...free admission...over 50 cars

This is a nice local Car Museum and Showroom. Cars change all the time so there is always something to see. Great location and parking. Often have Car Shows which are nice and you get to see a lot of cool cars. They always have treasures to purchase if you feel so inclined to do so.

The cars aren't real. Ask for a history and you get a runaround that comes up false. So don't buy, but for grins, it's a neat stop.

Good amount of clean older cars, pick-ups and what have you. Some Yenko's, 2 seat T-birds, couple of Goggo's, and some novelty cars (Flintstones, Green Hornet, etc.)
Will go again soon to oogle some more.

Definitely worth the visit! Great collection of cars and they are for sale too! If your in the area, plan on swinging by.

Spotted this on my drive into Venice. Decided to pay it a visit when it clouded over and got a bit stormy.
I was very impressed. Some lovely examples of classic american muscle. I'm afraid I fell for the big block vette and the pair of 32 Fords.
Overall worth a visit to escape either the intense heat or the rain.

And it's Free to get in. Wonderfully restored classic vehicles sure to appeal to a lot of different vehicle enthusiasts. Everything on display which hasn't already been sold is available for sale, if you have the money. They also have a retail shop with vehicle related items (signs, metal cast cars, etc.).

We live locally and have driven by so many times but finally made decision to stop and we were not disappointed. The variety and selection are great. It is free to enter as well. We would have liked a little more hospitalists from the staff as they didn't even look up to greet us when we entered and when we asked if we needed to pay or sign in they never looked up at us and just said "No - just go in". -- We'd also like to see each vehicle labeled with the year, type and more info about it for those of us not familiar with every vehicle and details of each one.

Very nice display of wide variety of cars, trucks, cycles. Free admission. Ifi you find something you like you can purchase it, they would like that. A nice time strolling through the displays, take as little or as much time as you like. Happy we stopped..

This museum has all makes and models of antique and specialty cars. You could look for hours and hours on end. They also will sell you cars. They have restored antique cars as well as cars used in TV and movies. There is also an extensive gift shop that sells any type of auto memorabilia you could imagine. A great place to spend an afternoon!

I didn't even know about this place until I picked-up a brochure for it at Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Advertising works ! I spent about an hour here touring their showroom. Admission is free. All you have to do is register on their web site via a computer at their front counter. That takes less than a minute to do. Once you do that you can take a tour through automotive history. It was a fun way to get out of the heat of the day.

My husband is searching for a '32 Ford roadster. This place was recommended by some friends. Gorgeous old cars to bring back lots of memories. The vehicles are in mint condition so, of course, the price tags show that. Much too expensive for the average guy/gal, but nice place to look around. Free admission although you have to give them your e-mail info.

Classic cars, show cars and a whole lot more. Loved seeing the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. The Delorean from Back to the Future, A land cruiser from Star Wars and other fun cars from movies.

The kids loved it. I loved it. It's enough to make you want to get more into cars if you aren't already. They have the Batmobile, the mystery machine and numerous classic cars. The space is very elegant and even the restrooms are beautiful.

A lof classic cars and some actual vehicles used in movies. Have seen the Ectomobile, Batmobile, Herbie the Love Bug plus a couple from the movie Cars. The "regular" cars are classics with most from the 50's and 60's. A few older and some newer. NO COST to get in and, if you have the dough, you can actually buy one. Take an hour or so and just browse through taking pictures and remembering what you had in the younger days. You may be pleasantly surprised.

RIPOFF! Avoid at all cost. Lie like hell and don’t stand behind there crappy cars 1965 GTO I was totaled total rotisserie restoration the engine blew up after 400 miles ! Paid $65k to avoid this exact circumstance. Talked to Kermit he said he would help me out only later said I was herassing employees not true $4,500 later out of my pocket car still does not run. It’s a great demolition derby car. Avoid at all cost

What a wonderful collection of classic cars! They were featuring classic "screen" cars and we saw the Mystery Machine, a couple of Bat Mobiles, Herbie, the Munster Mobile, Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen among others. Muscle cars abound and a nice array of 'vets.

We enjoyed viewing the classic cars. Even my 10-year old found some to look at. Great place to stop and enjoy some vintage cars. We had a great time and people who work there were very pleasant.

Classic cars is of interest to kids who are "in to" vehicles or adults who enjoy collecting cars or looking at them. The atmosphere smelled like cigarette smoke in some areas. Dark not bright lighting. It would have been nicer if it was a cleaner, brighter atmosphere. It seemed a little "seedy".

The collection of cars always changes as they sell and turn over their inventory. You will find everything there from brass cars to muscle cars. It will take about 45 minutes to go through, unless you find a car your want to ship home! There is also a small car-related gift shop. The sales people didn't bother us at all...just meet you at the door where you can tell them your intent. If you are a car enthusiast, I'm sure you enjoy your time.COST: FREE!

A great display of a variety of old & fun vehicles. We spent the afternoon browsing around, we loved it!

This is listed as a museum, but every vehicle is for sale, if you have the asking price. The self -guided, self- pace tour is free, you only need to sign in upon entry. Just like any car show, don't touch the merchandise! The are many historic cars as well as muscle cars, and movie cars. Take all the photos you want. There is also a gift shop of motor memorabilia.

Cars from the 30's to the 80's are they for sale. Corvettes, GTO's , Camero's all with lots of HP. If you are an old car fan, it is great and not to be missed.

Made a deal with ICC on a 2 1967 427 Corvette Coupes. One was advertised as a 427 motor. The car actually had a late model 454. The other was advertised as matching numbers and it was a stamped motor. Beware of how they advertise their inventory. They did reimburse me my money but what a disappointment.

Lots to see, great movie cars, classic cars, and a couple of hot rods! The people were friendly and helpful with questions. They have a small gift shop perfect for those souvenirs

cars are in mint condition and all for sale. would have liked to have seen the asking price on all of them and not just a few

The place is pretty big with many muscle cars to view and buy. Entrance was free with a quick registration. They even had movie replica cars like the bat mobile. Interesting for all ages.

Excellent cars in this huge showroom. How they could make it better is to list the prices right on car. Great place to go on hot day.

The Classic Car Museum has an interesting collection of vintage, muscle, and classic cars that changes as vehicles are sold and new consignments taken. Free admission! Mannequins around the showroom add a light touch.

If you're into Classic cars and Hotrods, this os a good stop off. It's free to enter and brows around at your leisure All the cars on display are for sale. I take friends there to just have a good look around. A small number of Classic European sports cars and lots of great US classics. They also host local classic and hotrod displays in their car park. Check it out.

This is a fairly new showcase museum for vintage and classic cars. Free admission too! How can you beat that?

This was an unexpected gem. Looking for something to do while visiting family in Venice, FL, my wife came upon the Ideal Classic Cars Museum. If you have any interest in cars, this is a great, cheap, way to spend an hour or so. The inventory changes regularly because this is more a used car dealership than a museum, though they do have some permanent displays, including a Batmobile, Herbie, the Love Bug, the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, etc. The cars on hand when we visited included an Auburn replica, several 60's/70's era Corvettes, and a whole host of American Muscle cars. I would have rated them a 5 if we hadn't spent, literally, 10 minutes waiting at the gift shop register for someone to check us out.

Great collection of cars. Just not big enough area. Showcase is awesome but need more cars Admission is free which is nice.

The collection of cars is outstanding...many movie cars...I take all of my visitors especially the "mature" ones to drool over the cars that they all remember driving as kids...Free admission...friendly staff...must see in Venice

How can anyone be disappointed in an activity where there is no charge. Forget about that they might want you to provide some basic information or you don't think they were friendly enough or whatever, it's free! An enjoyable place to see some vintage cars that will stir memories from past years and experiences. Great selection of cars.

Now, here's a place where dreams and old memories come back to life..I grew up with the late 60's early 70's Muscle Cars.. There is a great selection to view and to purchase in here. The museum is Free and well worth the stop. .American Graffiti Lives Here..

My husband loves cars so this was a must stop. There are a lot of cars both for show and sale. The showroom is very clean. A nice variety. The kids would love the bat mobile, jurassic park jeep and others....

We had driven by this place for the 7 previous winters we have snowbirded in Venice and kept saying we should see what is on display. We finally did that this winter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. While there are a few cars from the 20s and 30s, most are from the 50s and 60s with a number being different models of Chevrolets, which is what I grew up with, and they brought back a lot of memories. There are other models as well including a DeSoto which was one of my favorites growing up. They are nicely displayed with some information provided on each. The cars are for sale, so the inventory changes over time. If you are a car buff and are looking for something to do for an hour or so, stop by. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
.

We spent an enjoyable hour browsing among the collection of classic cars on a Tuesday afternoon recently. It wasn't too busy, and the air conditioning felt great after being out in the hot sun earlier! When my husband & I were dating, he had a Formula 400 Firebird, which we've since learned that not many of that car was manufactured back in the early 1970's. We should've kept it!
While there we saw a 1976 TransAm with the eagle on the hood, and it resembled the Firebird from our youth. We owned a red Mustang in the 90's, and saw one at the Car Museum as well. Ahh...memories! There were some cars for 'fun;" such as Mater and Lightening McQueen and the Scooby-Doo van. But mostly there were many beautifully restored older cars for sale or for your viewing pleasure. On site are sales people should you want to purchase a car, or even if you'd like them to do a worldwide search for a certain car-of-your-dreams...they can find it! Best of all, this was a FREE activity!

Lots of older and classic cars and some famous cars also. My favorites are the Stingray Corvettes 63-67 years. Free admission to see these beauties, what's not to like?

We visited Ideal Classic Cars in Venice this week and we're pleasantly surprised. They have a great selection of classics, along with some "interesting" movie cars. We saw a nice Impala 409 convertible, several StingRays as well as a good selection of other 60's and 70's cars - and trucks. They have a nice little shop in the front where you can grab an assortment of collectibles. No pretension, no pressure, nice people, And, it's all free!

It's really a used car sales room, but that's ok. In many ways it's better. There's no admission, you can get up close to all the cars, and you could theoretically buy any of them if you had enough money. My newly car-crazy son loved it, and I enjoyed seeing a lot of cars I grew up lusting after.

Very nice collection of classic and exotic cars. Both for viewing and sale. Has a car show monthly in season. Price of admission is free.

I've been in Venice for several years and never knew this place existed. A class operation with amazing cars, all for sale. Favorites included the Batmobile, the Munsters Hearse and the Beverly Hillbillies vehicle. A great place to take the family and company. They also have outside car shows, I think one Saturday a month.

We all like to look at cars so we enjoyed going in here. All the cars are for sale. They have cars from some movies. Some cars they make to look like certain cars, so if you have a car in mind and the money this place could do it. Since all the cars are for sale, keep in mind that if you see something on their website that you want to go in to see that it may not be there. A good thing to do to get out of the heat or rain for a bit. Plus it's free!

As a teenager in the 60's I drooled over every new model of Corvettes, Mustangs, Chargers, Chevelles and Firebirds released each year. Sleek lines, throaty exhaust notes, wide tires, chrome accessories all combined to create the heyday of car design, not duplicated since. Lots of novelty cars and movie cars as well. All for sale at premium prices. Nice staff. Guaranteed you will meet and interact with other enthusiasts and share stories of the glory days!

Free!! Great little museum/dealership of old cars. Good place to spend an hour or less. You can just walk around and look at all the old cars. No sales people hassle you, but are available if you have questions.

Sales people knowledgeable and wont bother you unless you ask.. they know a lot about all cars... nice selection ... the car show with Lance is fun in morning on 1 Sat a month..

We live in Venice and I am a "car buff" so I visit this unique museum/showroom regularly. My brother was in from Nevada recently. He even builds his own cars but claimed that this collection had the best detailing he had ever seen.

Wow fabulous cars we started by saying which one would you choose 10 cars later we couldn't decide it's a good way to spend a couple of hours

We visited this car museum and were impressed with the quality and condition of these classics. Some are for sale as well. A nice variety of different auto makes and years.

We were on vacation in the area and love classic cars. We found out about this place from a flyer and thought we would give it a try. Wow, it was amazing! The classic cars were in mint condition and the museum collection was interesting and quirky. We loved it!

We come down for family spring break every year. We visit classic cars about every other year. Free admission. Fun to dream...dream on...

We were not expecting to see so many cars hat we never knew existed.
Beautifully kept cars in tip top shape.

We both have classic cars and he always makes it a point to visit here with our friend. The collection is outstanding!

While this is more a showroom than a museum, the staff exerted no pressure on us and we were completely free to wander among the outstanding examples of automotive art and history. There is something for everyone hear from classic old American automobiles and trucks to cars made famous by the movies, to a number of old Porsches (356B's and 356 Spyders)

Very disappointing go to Muscle Car City. in Punta Gorda. Workers are rude stand around talking to each other. Not that many cars. Just a waste of time

Great collection of vintage vehicles! took some very cool pictures and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

I grew up in the muscle car era and even owned a couple of them so I couldn't wait to get in this place. It's free after you give them some info, which I didn't mind as I would love to receive updates from them.
Ideal is packed with a wide variety of foreign and domestic wheels, all in seemingly perfect condition and without a flake of dust on their shiny bodies. For guys it's testosterone city. For my wife, she enjoyed the beauty and variety. She was relieved that I didn't find a car I just had to have.
All the cars are for sale and they have a friendly sales staff who will help you look under the hood. They also ship so I'll be eagerly waiting for my email update.

I love taking our visitors here. It’s fun, fancy and free — unless you buy a car!
Part museum, part showroom, ICC has a large collection of American muscle cars. Inventory is always changing.

Plenty of room to park. Large selection to look at; boats, cars and trucks. Small souvenir place. Reasonably price to get in.

Loved this place. Perfect place to go on a cool morning. They let us takes lots of pictures of all the classic cars. My grandson loves corvettes and they had plenty to please. The batmobiles were awesome! Very friendly staff.

Perhaps upwards of 90% of the vehicles were Chevy's and Pontiac's. Very nice collection and well worth the visit. Not sure if there is an admission but the day we went it was free. Plan on spending an hour & a half to see them all. If you're an antique auto or a muscle car enthusiast it's well worth a visit.

The kids are teens and they really liked looking at all the old cars. Husband is a car nut so he really liked it. I was not impressed, partly because I have been to bigger places and this didn't do anything for me. Our daughter seemed to like it and took several pictures with the kids.

They had really nice cars. The had the Scooby Doo Van and the real bat mobile and the Munsters big black wagon. It had enough to interest the car collector as well as the movie buffs.

We went to the museum it is small but very good and well worth a visit the classic American cars are in fab condition it was very interesting

Went in the late summer 2014 to have a look around and view a few cars in stock. Really interesting place to go and visit like a private collection of good quality Classic Cars. Be careful though as I managed to accidently purchase a 1972 Corvette Stingray and ship it back to the UK!!
Think that the most expensive Holiday I have managed! Car is fab and defiantly worth a visit.

I have 2 vintage cars so when friends suggested we go I jumped at the opportunity.
I have given this experience 5 stars since free, cars well presented often with a brief description and all in a pristine and elegant environment.
There are no prices listed and interestingly enough the sales staff do not approach visitors. In fact it is very low key which surprised me as my husband identified that he was looking for a specific car and year. One was on site and the sales person did not push for a sale.
Even if you are not a car collector you will probably appreciate the selection on display from television and movies.

This is actually a dealership as the cars are for sale. Mint condition and perfectly restored. They have a wide variety of years, models, restored to stock and resto. Plus the fun stuff..Mystery machine, Clampett's truck, gift shop, etc. We look at everything so we were there a couple of hours. Best of all it's free! Or buy one! Prices weren't noted, but considering the quality I can only imagine!

Pristine top quality cars, presented very nicely, and very professional. No dogs here! Worth the visit!

We have been to venice many times as my brother and sister in law live there.During our last trip my brother asked if we wanted to go the the car Museum. Wow what a collection of cars. They are all for sale and best of all............free admission. A must see for any car people in the area.

My husband and I went here on October 11th to view the classic cars displayed in their showroom. Very nice collection and most all of them were for sale. There is no charge to walk through the showroom. Anyone who likes the older classic vehicles would enjoy walking through this museum.

Very diverse collection of styles, makes, models and interesting bios on the vehicles. There's some fun & quirky cars from my youth on tv shows as well as respected vehicles in their own class. A great place to view and appreciate the industrial art form.

I loved the fact that you could get close to the cars and take a look inside them through the windows.
I am not particularly interested in cars and went with my husband who wanted to have a look at them, but I really enjoyed it. Lots of different sorts of cars of the past and many replica cars of tv and screen.

This place is A hidden gem in Venice just south of Sarasota.... What a wonderful place to take car enthusiasts and children. The vehicles are on sale but on display and can be visited for free... Lightning McQueen was right outside in front of the door welcoming you and the monsters car was right in the front of the showroom also the green hornets awesome car was right behind it other vehicles featured the DeLorean from back to the future kit from Knight Rider the Beverly hillbillies hoop Dee the Star Wars hovercraft 2 Batmobile's The police car from the transformers and we can't forget Scooby's Mystery Machine.... And so many more vehicles all just gorgeous!!!
This is definitely a must see for visitors and residents!!!!

This place is full up with loads of beautiful cars, mostly American muscle iron but some sports cars too. A nice mixture to enjoy as you stroll through. Well worth stopping and going in. Plan on a few hours if you are a car buff.

I won't specify which cars I was shown, but I had them checked out and none of the history any of the salesmen gave me on the cars turned out to be true. Certainly a BUYER BEWARE situation here. It is fun to look at the cars, either way.

This ever changing museum of cars, is a car buffs dream. All sorts of custom cars for viewing. The cars are all for sale but there is no charge to come in and no pressure at all for purchasing anything. Depending on what has arrived or what has sold changes what is on display. They also do a monthly car show in their parking lot where local car buff bring their vehicles.
Great place to spend a few hours with friends and family.

We always pop in to see the cars. Excellent condition. Brings back memories from the 60-70s. Sometimes they have a car show on Saturday. Lots of parking and free.

My husband is a die hard GTO fan so we stopped to see their collection of cars. Disclaimer--I am NOT a GEAR head so can't address specific car info, so I will review from a casual viewpoint. First of all, admission is free-- a plus in any tourist attraction. The cars are showcased in a large building with touches of memorabilia to add to the viewing interest. Some specific models of cars were shown that connected you to classic TV shows or movies, such as the General from Dukes of Hazzard, the mystery mobile from Scooby Doo, the Green Hornet's car, etc. There were a variety of cars shown, ranging from VWs to Bugatti's to classic panel trucks and vans to the super sport cars. A gift shop is on site to purchase postcards, t shirts, and other items of a bygone era. You are asked to register when you come into the building-- a quick name, email address and 'what's your favorite car' quiz. I have only received 1 email from them so you aren't overloaded with spam. The sales people were nice and helpful. The cars are for sale and some had sold signs on them, waiting for owner pickup. Time spent will depend on how much of a car enthusiast you are, but it was interesting even for a casual observer to spend and hour or so. The building is clean and vehicles are in pristine condition. You are advised to admire, but not touch-- so you should have children under close supervision.

Probably close to 50 different classic cars all restored to mint condition. It was fun to stroll around and bring back the old days

Every year on Spring Break we stop in here and look at these beautiful cars. Something for everyone. We'll be back next year.

Loved our visit here. Great selection of cars. Plenty of staff around, but they leave you alone to browse. This was a fun hour on a cloudy day.

Great selection of classic cars to view. Relaxed atmosphere for viewing classic cars. If you're visiting the Venice area, definitely worth the trip. Free admission. Rest rooms. Bring the kids too!!

A great way to "live the past!" This showroom does not have an entrance fee, but has great classic cars to see! The employees are very accommodating and very kind! My grandson loves this place as much as I do!

I have enjoyed looking over the automobiles in this cute little 'museum.' I know that when they had Nader and friend out in the front of the museum I got a picture taken with them to email to my grandchildren. They were tickled pink. And the best part, its free.

I just stopped in for the first time and pleasantly surprised at the quality and layout.
Not overly crowded and easy to view the cars up close. On my visit the variety include old VW bugs, muscle cars, trucks and maybe a half dozen Corvettes. Probably 50 or so vehicles in total and all looked to be in great condition. No turds.
They’re all for sale but not openly priced?
It’s free to the public and has to be with a five star review. Worth it.

Beautiful Classic cars to admire and or purchase. Looks like an indoor museum clean and bright with a touch of whimsical props. No admission; plenty of parking.

This is more a museum that a car dealer. There are no prices on the cars so if you are just looking you will have to guess what you think they might be worth. they have a car show in their parking lot twice a month.

If you are into cars(I am) then this place is a must see in Venice. In addition to all the custom cars they have several Movie and TV cars on display. The best part of this Museum is that everything is for sale as well. See it, want it, Buy it. I highly recommend you check it out.

Some great classic cars such as a Duesenberg. These were restored as a Mexican Lowrider. This is an interesting combination of ideas. High end classic German engineering and as a low rider. This might not be my choice of ideas, but hey probably very historical.
I can only assume this is left over from the Germans being in Mexico during the Second World war. The Duesenberg was left by the Germans before departing Mexico. Interesting and unusual.
There is also a very weird combination of video clips of cars in movies and then cars that are created to look like the car in the movie. A real mix of fantasies and reality.
This place is worth a visit.

This "museum" not only displays their vehicles, they sell them as well. So, if you're thinking of a 1960's Corvette, this may be your place to view & shop. We enjoyed our visit, and took some great photos. Cars, motorcycles, soda machines, gas pumps, and so much more. Oh, by the way ... it's FREE admission. Hope this helps with your first visit.

We are staying in Rotonda and was looking for interesting places to visit.
Looked a good place to visit, if you are into classic cars or interested in cars, this is a good place to spend a hour or so.
Some great pieces to see and marvel at. It's not as large as you would imagine, and they have squeezed quite a few cars in.
That said, this really a place to sell classic cars through and you are allowed to view them, but no touching.
We still enjoyed it though and great to see some classic close up, instead of on TV.
You don't realise how long some of the old Cadillacs were.

While visiting the Ringling I saw this museum with 3 classic cars out front. We decided to give it a look see. It is obviously designed for those who have interest in old cars and their history. 75+ vehicles were displayed (American and Foreign) - some were even connected to the Ringlings.
It was a pleasant end to the day and next door is a sales showroom of classic vehicles many of them were priced at $50,000 - $150,000. Some are sold at Mecum type auctions around the corner. It was worth price of 2 tickets totalling $25.00

If you have an hour or so to kill, it's a fun look around. It is not really a destination in and of itself. There are some bone stock cars, but many that have been 'improved' in some way. Say a 70/30 split. At the moment, market must still like mid-60's muscle; well represented. No pressure from the staff, they are used to car tourists and will answer questions. At the moment there's a very rare 71 Trans Am 455 SD stick shift on offer for <100k if you'd care to look.

I went to see what they had ,there not very friendly when I asked a question there was vague and the price on the cars was out of sight. I have been collecting car for 50 years and the think there Customers are not very bright don’t Waste your time

We have visited family in the area for years & passed by the place often but always thought it was just a classic car dealership.....but it is not. We found a brochure elsewhere so decided to visit. It is free which is great. They have some really beautiful cars, replicas of some well known vehicles and cars that bring back great memories of cars from our younger days. On the 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month they have a car show where 50 -100 more vehicles are on display. We will try to time our next visit for one of those dates.

I was disappointed to discover that Ideal Classic Cars was not so ideal, after all. It was, instead, the typical "buy low, sell high" used car joint. Make no mistake, they do have some nice cars, but they want way too much money for them. When I pointed that out to the salesman, he got a big chip on his shoulder and blurted out "Are you an expert, do you sell cars? I sell over 2500 cars a year. How many do you sell a year?" Calling is bluff, I said "Wow, 2500 cars, that's 50 cars a week, 10 cars per day. Show me which 10 cars you sold today, Jack." He walked off in a huff. After he cooled off and settled down, he came back to chat again, but then tried to tell me that my car was worth less than half what it has been appraised at and insured for. Like I said, typical "buy low, sell high" modus operandi. We went elsewhere to buy a classic car.

I found this while trying to think of activities my husband would enjoy. He did--and I did! What a great place with fun, beautiful cars! I love that it's free too!

I spent over $800.00 to fly to Ideal Classic Cars and look at a truck. When I got there I could not have been more disappointed. The truck was advertised as an all steel body and that the previous owner spent over 160,000.00 on the build. I spoke directly with the General manager Jim before investing $800.00 and 2 days of time to go look at the truck. He even facetimed me and went over the truck. During the facetime he put a magnet on it in multiple placed to backup that it was an all steel body. He personally rated the truck and its build a 9 out of 10.
When I got there the first thing I noticed was that there were multiple cracks, nicks and chips in the paint. I stopped counting after 25. Yes this is the paint that was rated a 9. There were also touchups on the paint that were a different color.
The grill which I did notice in the photos was still damaged. I was told it would be repaired.
When we pulled the vehicle out for a test ride there were multiple puddles of both oil and transmission fluid on the floor.
When we test drove it just in the parking lot, there was a massive banging noise coming from the underneath of the truck. When I say banging I mean it was banging and I am not exaggerating.
We put it up on the rack and noticed someone during the build put the exhaust through the frame. Their solution was to open the holes in the frame even more to allow for more clearance. This concerned me because I personally felt the existing holes through the frame would compromise the structural Integrity they way they were.
I also noticed that the all steel body had 2 fiberglass fenders on the rear. What? I was floored. This even after the GM went around the truck with the magnet. This perplexed me and made me wonder where he was putting the magnet or did he just miss the fenders each time. Remember this was advertised as an all steel body.
On the rack we noticed at lease 3 different areas there were fluid leaks.
The A/C didn't work.
With all this I still took it for a ride on the road, after all I flew over a thousand miles to see it. We couldn't drive over about 20 mph because of the banging of what was diagnosed as the exhaust. The dash area had a consistent squeak and when we got back the antifreeze was leaking from the radiator. The wipers didn't work and it appeared they were on just for show. There were other problems but I am done with that part for now.
This trucks asking price was just under $80,000.00. I went to buy it and had made preliminary arrangements for Insurance and shipping. They had more that ample time to prepare this Truck as I had been talking to them for an estimated week and a half give or take. I felt I was deceived about the truck and it condition or did they just not care enough or what.
The sales people, Mechanic and other Staff were kind and courteous. but all and all the truck was a real bust and wasted over $800.00 dollars and 2 days of mine. I thought I had asked enough questions and did enough facetime with them but apparently not. I felt bad for me but even worse for them as they were trying to sell this vehicle as a 9 when I felt it was more of a 4 or 5. Don't be fooled by pictures and look at the vehicle top to bottom, inside and out.

A nice showroom full of classics and collectibles. A bit different than a museum in that all of these cars are available for sale.

Ideal Classic Car is a class operation. First, if you simply register at a computer station, there is no entry fee. The showroom is stocked with a perfect blend of vehicles. Much to our surprise they also display several vehicles from famous TV and movies. Batmobile, Green Hornet, Munsters, and more. Great for all ages.

Fabulous place full of high end of restorations , a monthly car meet also. I always visit at least once if on the area .

If you like old cars and a bit of nostalgia then this is the place for you to spend half an hour or more just browsing around with the old and beautiful restored cars the staff are only too pleased to answer any questions ,the kids may like looking at replicas of the Batmobile, Herbie etc and its all free. You never know you just might end up buying one!

This a retail dealer of classic and vintage autos, if you enjoy auto museums stop in it's free, open to the public.

Our Corvette club took a road trip from Orlando to Venice to see this car collection. The staff was great and the car where amazing. They took pictures of our group went out and judged our cars a gave a trophy to the car they like the most. This is a place car lovers need to see. To other car club, make the trip with your group or by yourself you will fall in love with this place.

This place is awesome in the number of vintage and specialty cars on display and for sale. I took my grand boys ages 10,12 there and they loved it. They behaved well and the owners welcomed them and even gave them each a small model car. They have everything from Scoob's Mystery Machine to vintage Corvettes. Well worth a visit!

Many cars of different vintages. You can get close and take many photos, however the cars are close together so the shots won't isolate one car at a time. Easy walk around. Old buildings lighting is good.

I wouldn't quite call this a car museum. It's really more of a dealership, but if you're in the area and you like old cars I would absolutely stop here. It's small so it wont take long but they had some fun things to look at.

Always visit once or twice when we are in Venice during the winter season. Not really a museum but a classic/antique car dealership but once you visit once and register for their email bulletins you don't get hassled by the salesmen. Usually have an interesting assortment of classics, antiques, special interest and rods.

I have attended several classic car shows over the years. If you're in Venice (or nearby) and need something to do for FREE, then this is a good option. We went there one of the days that it rained and enjoyed our visit. They have cars from the 1920's and up. Plus some unusual cars like the Green Hornet's car and the Batmobile.

A showroom of cars mainly for sale, if you leave your details on entry it’s free to wander and peruse the collection of cars and small trucks.
Small gift shop
Worth a stop, great for breaking a journey and seeing some of your dream cars.

My husband loves his motorcycle rides, so I planned a day trip to include this surprising pleasure as one of our destinations. He loves old cars as much as bikes, so he was excited when we pulled up! They even had a bike with a side car, which we are in the market for, so that was a bonus. Even I---typical female---enjoyed it! The character carts and the novel cars were so much fun to look at, and I wouldn't mind driving one of those beautiful old cars! And to think everything is for sale...

This was an awesome visit and well worth the time if you're into classic cars. Admission is FREE! They have a great selection of classic cars and many are for sale. They also have some movie and TV show cars, great for photo ops. I enjoyed it thoroughly. A word of advice though, the cars a fairly tightly packed in, so if you have any physical limitations you may have a little trouble navigating your way around. And It is very much a working and operating car dealership specializing in only classic cars, complete with sales people. But no one will bother you or try to "Hard Sell" you. If you are interested in a purchase they will be happy to help you but they don't push. You can also sign up to be on their mailing list.

Ok, this place has to be on your stop in Venice! As a matter of fact, if you are just passing by Venice on I-75 trust me and take the 10 minute drive from the highway and visit this place! My mind was blown at all the amazing classic cars not to mention vehicles from classic movies, cartoons and TV shows such as The Batmobile, Speed Racer, Scooby Doo, Knight Rider and others. This place is a gem for everyone in the family! Best part, it’s free! This will be the best hour our so you will spend, trust me! Had some seriously great memories from my childhood relived here. This place is a working dealership so if there is something you like (and can afford) you can certainly purchase one.

It was exciting seeing the first car I owned; a 1958 Chevy Impala Convertible, albeit in a different color. And then I saw my 2nd car, also a Chevy Impala Convertible, 1963 vintage. This is not your typical sports car, racing car, or high end foreign beauties line up, but beautifully restored American street machines. There are cars from most every American brand, from a small Metropolitan to many Corvettes....all beautifully restored and FOR SALE. However my 1958 Chevy that had cost $2900 when I bought it new, now had another digit added. You can't help smiling as you walk by and look at many of those cars you owned or rode in.

Lots of muscle cars antique autos from mustangs Canaria and many more
Also visit the gift shop for unique items
And it’s Free
Good for all ages that like cars

Was very interested in purchasing one of their cars. Found them on Autotrader but they would not disclose the price of the vehicle on that site but rather was told to call for the price. After calling, I found out why. I was connected to a gentleman who proceeded to inform me that the price of this vehicle was at least $18,000 more than any other I had researched ( I had researched two dozen of these cars and this one was by far not the nicest). I then calmly and professionally told him that he was much higher than the others that I had research and I was sincerely curious of how this one stood apart (I honestly felt that there had to be something). Then, out of nowhere, he barks that “THE PRICE IS THE PRICE!!”. Keep in mind that I was asking a sincere question in a sincere way.
If you decide to purchase from this business, please shop around. They certainly don’t hold their customers to a high level of respect and I have a feeling that they’ve taken multiple people on a very overly expensive ride. Please look out for these guys.

This place is great! Lots of cars to look at with descriptions on each car. Beautifully restored vehicles. The admission was not overpriced. It's a good way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon.

An interesting collection of autos most of which are for sale. They are of good to excellent quality. Cars that I were interested in were priced Very high for discriminating buyer. Number 5 prices for well detailed number 4cars at best maybe even number 3.

Car showroom and museum for car guys and car girls. Lots of muscle cars, Fund place off Route 41 bypass near exit for Englewood FL

You can walk in here and browse at some very nice classic cars for zip. Everything is for sale and no one is hanging over your shoulder. This is a good place to stop on your way to the pier.

If you want to checkout some classic, unique cars, trucks, motorcycles as well as some movie/tv replica vehicles this the place to stop. Admission is free when you register at the desk. The vehicles are for sale, I'm not sure they'll let you in the cars unless you are a serious buyer and a salesperson is with you. You are free to walk around.

This museum was so cool! It was packed with cars and smelled so clean! The museum was spotless and so were their bathrooms. You can tell the employees are perfectionists that pay attention to detail! The cars are for sale too! We loved the Batman cars and the Beverly Hillbillies' truck! Mater is outside the door too!

Very nice place with absolutely no admission charged! Just register with your name and address. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the unique cars. Place was neat and clean.

We stopped here to look at the cars. It's free to get in, just have to register. The cars are incredible... they have the batmovile, the monkees car, mystery machine. Very cool place to stop in at for a few..

If you enjoy old cars this is a great place to spend some time. No charge to get in. Many different model and makes. All are for sale.

For one this place is FREE, no admission. All the cars are for sale, all cars are professionally restored. Decent sized show room with lots of really cool cars.

This place sells cars. Mostly on the internet I believe, but they do sell an amazing assortment of vintage and custom vehicles. Everything from an Auburn roadster to a Ford GT. No pressure to buy, just register and feast your eyes on these mechanical beauties, cars, trucks, motorcycles, and auto centric decorations like old gas pumps, car hops, and mechanic manequins. Most of the vehicles for sale are clearly priced and others you must ask. If you have an hour or so to peruse this ever changing collection of vehicles, you will leave thinking that it was time well spent. Photos are allowed, but don't touch the merchandise.

Stopped in with another couple and spent a little while there. Very nicely restored old classic cars but the staff totally ignores you. No greeting when you enter, no 'May I help you?'. I own 4 classic cars so this was nothing new to us. Just a pleasant way to wile away a little time.

Free entrance . Plenty of classic cars to walk about with elvis presley , the beverley hillbillies and batman in attendance . If you like cars this place is great to spend an hour to cool down . Cars are for sale if you are a millionaire but just walking around taking pictures is the norm . They sell souvenirs for those interested .
Fun hour
Our group was tired of the beach and had always wondered about this museum. Lots of interesting classic cars and some cars from movies (bat mobile, green hornet etc). Fun and free.
