NICE OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT SPOT!

By 423cjohnson |

Great eateries to choose from and a huge IMAX theater! It is all outdoors so may not be the desired destination when it's cold or raining. Adequate parking and unique little stores to shop in.

Good fun and amentities

By Bx2L |

The Irvine Spectrum Center has activities for all your friends and family. Shopping, dining, entertainment. It's a fairly large area and is an exterior style mall. Movies, games, Ferris Wheel, and plenty of dining and shopping options. It's a great way to spend a day.

Millennial Dream

By 236norberto |

One look at the mulling crowd and it’s easy to see that this is a dream place for the young. It teems with youth. So that make it interesting even if we older folk find it’s sprawl a bit difficult.

enjoy for shopping and entertainment all day long

By Moon L |

There are many of retail stores (Nordstrom, Target etc) and great/various restaurant, also cinema and big weel riding. If you just want to spend all day long by alone or with friend, just visit Irvine spectrum center. I have visited couple times a month.

Lots of constructions going on

By THoSEAsia |

It’s like they never planned to stage the renovations/construction upgrades... the whole place was like a big landfill, very different from before. Also lost of kids activities attractions had been taken out

Fun and lively

By Calgirl2015 |

Irvine Spectrum is one of Orange County’s most lively spots to shop, dine, hang out with friends or family or just to people watch. It has great dining options and a good variety of shops. One of my favorite places to meet with friends!

Many options

By snallapa1 |

This is one of my favorite places to go. There is so much to do. You can shop, watch a movie, eat at restaurant and much more. I recommend this place to everyone.

Lunch

By big10sjunkie |

Using the retail therapy app we bought one 6” Turkey dub and a large drink and got another 6” sub for free.
The bread roll was very good and the ingredients we selected good. But the sliced turkey was minimal. Workers speaking Spanish behind the counter. A little annoying

Nice walk around summer night

By WalkingInLA |

Shops, theater, many people walking dogs that hot night. We ate and walked around. My favorite stores are here, and favorite restaurants are here. Love the family-friendly lights and fountains.

Expensive, but lots of choices

By Timruns |

Irvine Spectrum was awesome 15 years ago... There are some nice restaurants, but on a whole it seems a bit stale.

Pet friendly, relaxing place for teenagers who like shopping

By ViaNice |

This mall is great for teenagers who want to see a movie and shop with their friends. It is smaller , more relaxed than Fashion Islander or South Coast Plaza. It is a shame that they lost big stores like Macy's, but Nordstrom is still there. It is easy to find great restaurants for vegetarians and to find a variety of food. There are not a lot of good deals but there are a lot of kids and pet friendly places.

Shopping

By Frederick M |

Great destination for shopping, eating movies.
So many options in on place for everyone to enjoy and no problems with parking.
Summer evenings are the best times for outdoor eating

Fun-filled Place

By Miranda C |

There is so much to do in the Irvine Spectrum Center! You can eat, watch a movie, shop, play games, or take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. The plaza has a very fresh look to it, and it's a great place for young adults to hang out with friends. Also, who wouldn't want to visit the "Mall of Miami" from Austin & Ally?

Variety of shops

By TravelTVproducer |

Irvine spectrum is a great assortment of shops, restaurants, entertainment and community events in a great location. You can find almost anything here.

Great way to spend the day or evening

By halmj06 |

Irvine Spectrum has it all. From restaurants like Javier's Cheesecake Factory, CPK, PF Changs,or simpler take out eats to wonderful shopping like Nordstrom, Target, H&M, Hello Kitty for the little ones! Dave and Busters is a fun afternoon or evening dining idea then head off for play time with the family in their fun room. Great for dinner and movies too.

Wonderful Atmosphere any time of Day !

Bellow expectations

By Amre M |

I never liked this center but I thought I would give it another try. Well I'm still convenienced that I'm not sold on this center. Nothing Wowed about it. However there were a number of good restaurants.

Festive Mood

By Karen G |

We came the day after Thanksgiving and Irvine Spectrum was absolutely packed everywhere you turned! The entire center is already decked out for the holidays with a giant Christmas tree, sparkling decorations, and the ice rink bringing in all the festive mood. You can definitely feel the holiday cheer the moment you walk in. Parking was a whole adventure on its own. Even with the parking structure, it was a nightmare trying to find a spot. Luckily, we had dinner reservations and pre-purchased our movie tickets, so that helped keep the evening smooth despite the crowds. If you’re planning to visit during the holidays, just be prepared to deal with a massive crowd but the energy is festive and fun if you come ready for it!

Something for everybody

By Sue K |

Now prefer this mall to FI for window shopping, dining and strolling. FI has removed all children activities. Spectrum caters to adults, teens and children. Makeover is a winner with lots of eye candy and other options for strolling, shopping and dining

Vacation visit

By MICHAEL OLDEN |

Great place with too many shops to list. Great range of restaurants and food outlets. Cinema and other attractions. Very good place for couples or families.

Always free parking

By Dave P |

One of my favorite parts about this place is that there’s always free parking.

I typically go to the improv for comedy or to Veggie Grill for vegan food.

It’s always festive around here though it’s a good place for families for anybody for whatever you need

Just ok

By Trish C |

Nice fairly clean outdoor mall with tons of restaurants. The stores cater to the young teens. So if your 30 plus you won't find anything worth buying here.

Great shops beautiful grounds

By G1039ANstevena |

On a business trip to Irvine staying in a hotel close to the Spectrum Center. Beautiful immaculate grounds and fountains. Great restaurants great service nice variety of shops friendly people. Made me want to live in Irvine!

Pretty much everything....

By alexaD6974PO |

I like the Spectrum. Plenty of shopping of all sorts. (Just like a good mall, but outdoors.) Loads of eateries, from casual to high-end. Large cinema complex, Improv comedy. Lots of parking, both self and valet.

Great for an evening out or some better than mall shopping.

By kropkob |

The Spectrum has it all! Dinner out with your significant other or family. Movies, dessert places. And plenty of parking on non holiday days.

Irvine Spectrum at Christmas Time

By Steve Concialdi |

Great place to shop & walk around at Christmas time. Tons of shops & outstanding restaurants to choose from. It’s decorated very nice with lights everywhere and a large colorful Christmas tree. Very safe for everyone. There is an ice rink to skate, a large ferris wheel & plenty of benches if you want to stop & enjoy people watching. Everyone shopping around seemed happy & cheerful during this Christmas season. Steve Concialdi

REVAMP is exciting

By Shekhar S |

Pleasant surprise with the plenty of renovated looking elements. Seating is great and colorful with fountains galore. Exciting mist jets for kids and some bargain shopping stores. Went after months but will now visit more often. The new apple store is wonderful...

Fun night life and a great variety of stores!

By lorielm |

We have spent a lot of time over the years coming to the Spectrum and took some out of town family members here. We enjoyed shopping, browsing, the night walk around the area, and dining. So much to do!

It just such a comfortable environment. No matter what time of the season or day of the week.

By luismN2068YU |

There are so many things to do here. From movies, to comedy club, dinner or just to hang out and shop. It is honestly such an awesome place to go with friends or family.

Social shopping and entertainment

By trish |

Great ambiance and food, entertainment and retail shopping available for all age groups. Best aspect is the social and rest spots available for relaxing and enjoying the occasion.
The restaurants are plenty and offerings to suit all pallets. Theatre's for film and Improv, video entertainment, numerous fountains, cafes and retail with broad offerings. Shaded for hot days and sheltered for the cooler days. Carousal, train rides and fairs-wheel for the young at heart.

Beautiful and fun

By tabbylover |

While shopping was not really our purpose for visiting, the selection of stores and restaurants is great. The architecture and fountains are beautiful and relaxing. Fun area for kids with a grassy play area, Miss Kitty cafe and a mini train ride. Several great ice cream places too! Well worth the visit!

Irvine Spectrum Center, Something for EVERYBODY!

By G5324VYgarym |

I have been visiting the Irvine Spectrum since it opened when my children were small. Now my children are college graduates and they now go on there own when they return to Orange County. There is really something for EVERYBODY AT THE IRVINE SPECTRUM NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE OR YOUR BUDGET.

Clean

By JB |

Clean. Great selection of stores and restaurants. Lots of parking - free. Weekends can be very busy and limited parking.

A good walk and shopping

By corina a |

We had a nice walk and let the kids take the Ferris wheel and the kids' train. They loved it. They also had a blast trying to catch the big water drops at the water foutain in front of Target. And us, the adults enjoyed some shopping at the various stores.

Great place to shop

By drcser |

Amazing outdoor shopping center. Plenty of unique places to eat & so many shops to choose from. Be aware, parking is not quick & easy.

Fun and great choices

By Carine50 |

While we do have entertainment centers here in our area in AZ, none can compete w/ the Spectrum. Every time we visit family now-we always want to take a few hours to walk around, see what's new and have a great meal-of which there are a LOT of choices! We can do anything from fast food to fine dining and shop for anything from toiletries to designer clothes!

good spot

By Thatdudesteven |

fun day, good restaurants and great activities for the family, nothing to crazy, there is actually a good amount of things to do in this location

Young Americans concert

By Kenneth S |

Special "back to School" events by retailers all day. Free concert by Hanna Eyre from "The Voice" fame and " The Young Americans". The spectrum offers tremendous variety in shopping, entertainment, restaurants and convenient parking.

A good shopping venue experience for families.

By Roberts69 |

A very pleasant shopping mall and entertainment center... Especially good for families and kids due to the activities available, like fairground rides.

Great Adventure

By Parfum2016 |

Great place to eat see a movie walk around and go on the wheel ride the places in here a very clean and have reasonable prices.

A nice place to shop, eat, and stroll around!

By rockwood13 |

During a recent trip to California we visited the Irvine Spectrum Center on two occasions, the first time to shop at Target and the subsequent time to eat dinner and browse around the many shops. The Irvine Spectrum Center is a very nice upscale mall. It has a large number of restaurants both full service and casual. It also has a good number of stores that sell dessert items like baked goods and ice cream. In addition to the restaurants and stores there are also some nice entertainment options. There is a cinema complex, a giant ferris wheel (which we didn't have the time or the courage to ride), a nice carousel, and a Dave and Busters establishment with a large number of electronic games and virtual reality experiences. The mall is very clean and bright and has areas where you can sit outside and eat. It also has several very nice fountains. At least on the days we visited the Irvine Spectrum Center there seemed to be ample parking with both surface spots and multiple parking garages. It is located between highways 5 and 405 so it is relatively easy to access.

Relaxing and Calm- Entertainment

By Jr02 |

This place has several stores, restaurants and ferris wheel which is open on weekends. It's a good place to people watch, relax or have a bite to eat in the evening time. Spacious parking.

Cheese Cake Factory

By 73EllenGwynne |

I like the food, especially their salmon. As far as the shopping at the Spectrum, I would rather skip it, because the parking and all the walking is a pain for me.

spectacular spectrum

By 756albertor |

shop, eat and drink then watch a movie or go to a comedy club all in one place that is pretty spectacular it is a bit on the pricey side however if you are on R&R who cares.

Fashion Island Redone with a different selection of Shops

By Roger G |

The vibe here is very similar to Fashion Island, but due to the selection of shops and food outlets, and its proximity to the more populated (compared with Newport Beach) Irvine/Tustin areas, the crowd seems younger, and the super high end boutiques are not yet in abundance.

There is lots to do and see, and if you have a few hours to kill, or even a day, you can't go wrong here. Javier's is one of my favorite places to eat, as is the Cafe Bistro in Nordstrom. I hope they won't change it like they did at South Coast, because I don't eat there anymore. The side of Fries in Cafe Bistro is really good and so is the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. I guess you can see I love my food.

Shopping and movies are also easily covered at Irvine Spectrum; whether you are in to boutiques or department stores, or even Target, yes you can spend your money here.

Huge outdoor and indoor mall with difficult parking

By ucartech |

It took me almost an hour to find parking space at this mall during Christmas holiday. The atmosphere is relaxing and lots of restaurants, shops and attractions at this mall. However, we picked the wrong restaurant, Seoul Urban which is I didn't recommend if looking for Korean food. During normal season, it shouldn't be difficult to find parking because they have lots of parking space. A main destination when visiting Irvine, CA.

Uninteresting shopping mall

By JJAA54 |

Old-fashioned shopping mallsare rarely interesting to me. Big mainstream brands. I miss some original and surprising attractive shops.

Lots of New Things Here!

By eheyman |

Revisited Spectrum last evening for dinner and a movie, first time back in a long time, and it felt like the first. Undergoing a makeover, the mall has lots of new features, outdoor seating areas, misters to help beat the heat, as well as many new and redesigned shops and restaurants. It has really raised its game.

Great way to spend an afternoon

By Stepper950 |

We were visiting from out of town, and our hotel dropped us off here because we had free time our first day. We ended up spending 3 hours here on accident, but had a great time walking around and taking pictures. This mall was outside and was extremely clean. Tons of palm trees, and just really neat place to visit.
There are many places to eat, Dave & Busters, a nice movie theater, and a Ferris Wheel to ride.
We will be back if we visit this area again.

Irvine Spectrum NICE!

By Joanne S |

We visited the center upon recommendation. We tried Spaces the VR gaming and my son loved it. There is good selection of stores and it’s a very nice venue.

Great service

By djlazarides |

Deanne is awesome. Fantastic, attentive service at the 90 Pacifica. Brilliant conversation too. Fully recommended

Very very nice mall

By appledude1221 |

A very nice mall especially the Ferris wheel however the only con is why are you still playing Christmas music when Christmas is over but overall nice mall

Irvine Spectrum Center

By Nawaf |

This shopping center is decently large with quite an assortment of shops and restaurants to pick from nothing fancy at all. If you are looking for place good for kids and adults this one is for you.

Love it

By Lara |

We spent one day at this center, my kids love it. It’s an outdoor place, where u can go shopping, have lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather. If you’re tired you can sit on the comfortable armchairs provided by the center. Kids had a blast at the Smokey place opposite subway. Spent there more than an hour playing with their friends and cousins.

A Wonderful Maze Of Shops And Restaurants

By aimswanson |

Wander the paths through fountains and grand avenues to shops and restaurants not seen elsewhere in the area. The theater is one of my favorites.

Dinner

By greencozmo |

A good selection of restaurants and plenty of shops to look at afterward, so you can walk off your dinner.

Family trip from the UK

By Katrina D |

We are a family from the UK trying to navigate Irvine - we lost a case of clothes and headed to the Irvine spectrum for clothes and an uplift - a great place for shopping from expensive clothes to cheaper - some great stores - well worth a look - we also ate at the yards sports bar and was full ! Great place and great service

Irvine spectrum Review

By gcciz |

Always pleasure to walk around the area looking at different stores and eating at various restaurants, shopping at Target and going to movies. Parking never a problem when we went there.

Average for shopping, not too many choices

By TJ |

Was recommended by some when my family and I were out at desert hills, in comparison fairly average for shopping

Hello Kitty Cafe

By Theodore H |

The place is worth visiting. Just be aware that parking can be a problem. Our main purpose was to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe. We waited about an hour to get to the shop, but we also made a reservation for cocktail. That was quite an experience. If you are a Sanrio fan, you do want to visit this place at least once in your lifetime.

Great place to get it all

By Martin M |

Tons of places to eat, shop and be entertained....they have a cinema, comedy show, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round. A little bit of everything

Place is HUGE

By Joseph B |

An open air mall the biggest I've ever been to. Put on your best walking shoes because this place seems neverending. Has every shop imaginable, a giant ferris wheel and many fine eateries; we chose PF Chang for lunch.Food was delicious, well priced and service was great.

A place to shop and hang out

By Fernanda Peralta |

I just love how pretty this place looks, the lights at night are amazing, especially at the Ferris Wheel area. Very nice for photos.
The stores are nice too.

Fun shopping spot with kids!

By 77Sundance |

Great place to be able to do some shopping even with kids in tow. The carousel is great and there are lots of restaurants too.

Always Busy

By heumanntouch |

While this is an interesting place with multiple selection to eat or grab small items it is almost always packed. The parking is a nightmare and that is the first 10 mins on the property. Bare in mind I am referring to an evening visit as the daytime is a little better. I love coming here but try to plan my trips based on the time of day or the day of the week.

Awesome place!

By Laura Jimenez |

This mall is awesome! It is outdoors so it is super nice! A lot of variety of stores and restaurants! I totally loved it!

Entertainment Center

By M5859SNdavidk |

Over the years from when the Irvine Spectrum first opened, it has evolved into a very nice entertainment center. There are many nice restaurants, nice branded shops and a play area for young children. For even more entertainment there is a 21 Screen movie theater with I-Max and a Dave & Busters.

Great meeting place

By joseph d |

This Center is huge there are a lot of things to do here a lot of restaurants to eat at a huge ferris wheel and a bunch of open ground to relax and enjoy

Christmas shopping

By David S |

Perfect center outdoors plenty of parking an amazing selection of stores to choose from.
Great place highly recommended

Lots of shopping and restaurants

By LTUCD |

Great place for shopping (my daughter loves Irvine Spectrum) and good restaurant options, which I like.

The most beautiful shopping center, Irvine, Orange County, Southern California

By Dr. Abdullah |

Irvine spectrum shopping center is the most beautiful open air shopping center in Southern California. Great for shopping, kids, eating, walking, and relaxing. Plenty of parking: open lots and structures.

Irvine Spectrum Center is for everyone!

By Kelly M |

This center truly has something for everyone. Several dining options, lots of shopping choices, plus a movie theater. It is an outdoor area, so be prepared to walk. Plenty of free covered and uncovered parking. Kids have lots of choices as well. Each winter, they set up an outdoor ice skating rink. Year-round, there is a “sky-wheel” to ride, a large multi-seating Ferris wheel that is a nice way to take a break if needed.

Fun

By SunshineCheyenne |

Good and varied outdoor shopping complex, good parking, many options for dining and entertainment. Clean, upscale, modern feel.

Something for everyone and all ages

By adventure44442016 |

It's easy to spend an entire day here and not get bored. For the smaller kids there are rides and trains to keep their interest. For the middle level age kids there are rides, candy stores, Dave and Busters, and 7D ride to enjoy. For the teenagers who want to just hang out together this is a great spot to meet up and check out Zummies, Old Navy, and other trendy stores to get their fashion on. They look at this stuff for hours, not purchasing anything, just talking about the cool tshirt designs. Jonny Rockets, Rubys, Subway, and Chiptole are great family hangout spots and the theater has all the latest titles and recliner seats that the entire family will love. And while the kids are having fun, there are some spectacular high end places to eat and drink for the adults. And did I mention the Irvine Improv is there. Simply put, it is a great place to connect with friends and family no matter what your age or interest.

Train!

By Lanifisher |

Always a great place to walk around and shop. The kids loved the train ! Great selection of restaurants and even a target for easy go to things

Nice outdoor mall

By P_H_Helsinki_Finland |

Nice and clean outdoor mall for shopping and entertainment(standup, movies). Also a big ferriswheel! Good selection of restaurants and a target aswell.

Fun

By Michael S |

Many different things to do and I will be back again next week. Dave & Buster's is our favorite place to eat after seeing a movie.

Fun place!

By Rick S |

This is always a fun place to just hangout. Good vibe and great places to eat. Spent a little time shopping, got a bite to eat, then a little desert. Parking was a snap in one of the several parking structures.

Entertainment over shopping

By cynthia s |

I’m very familiar with the Irvine Spectrum, it’s my family’s go-to” for everything from Nordstrom’s, Target, movies, food and general free time-filling entertainment.
The humongous movie theatre is state-of-the-art, worth splurging on recliners for big family movie nights. In-seat food & bar service are awesome!
While shopping is probably not the biggest draw of this center, the people-watching, unique kiosks, and general entertainment are. From The huge Ferris Wheel, beautiful Carosel, Dave & Busters, virtual reality gaming/racing, to the “Hello Kitty” pop-up, this center can be eye-popping. And, outdoor ice skating in the winter months with plentiful seating to sit back and take it all in.
There is an abundance of eating options as well. From affordable to impressive, it’s good for little kiddos, multi-family meals, first date impressions, and power lunches. My new fave place is “Habana”, retro Cuban to the core but, So Cal in its wow factor.

Great for young families & and moms with strollers. Lots to see, and play. Bubble fountains, trains, ice cream, and lots of walking

Cons: really crowded week-end evenings (not an issue during the day), don’t expect to pop-in for a quick meal after 5:00. Every place is packed. If you’re not accustomed to a variety of cultures this may not be a comfortable place for you, especially Friday nights. I personally love it but, I know some people are put-off.
While there is a vast abundance of parking lots & spaces it still can take time & patience to find a spot, rest assured: you will.
Lots of new construction for additional experiences, don’t let that keep you away. It’s all neatly organized and hidden. Irvine Company does everything possible to ensure their properties are always stellar, ahead of any and all competition.
One last note: this is a wildly confusing center logistically. Keep your eye on the directories & maps to figure out where you are and where you’re going. Easy to get lost & confused.

Have fun!

Big shopping center

By Bambooly |

Relaxing open air shopping center with major and trendy brands. Lots of amusement areas and fountains for kids.

Lovely shopping complex

By TravelReviewer1983 |

Irvine Spectrum Complex is a great choice for those who want to shop in peace, with a great selection of shops, restaurants and coffee shops

Shops a bit of a let down

By Laurel_265 |

Too many flash shops with over priced goods and little substance. Parking is free if you can find the right car park

Look at it this way, it's "downtown" Irvine with all of the city's good and bad in one place

By Terry A |

Here's the good....safe, clean, tons of ways to spend money on things you don't need, lots of people, wide variety of places to eat food you shouldn't and a robot security guard.

Here's the bad...overcrowded on weekends, ridiculously high prices for things you don't need, bad nutritional choices, distances from where you park to the shops on a scale typically found only in Las Vegas, and beige walls for as far as the eye can see.

Gastronomical & Enternatinment Variety

By Hiram1911 |

At the Irvine Spectrum you will not struggle finding a great place to eat or something fun to do. From Dave and Busters to the movie theater there is something to satisfy everyone's desires and from Tender Greens to Cucina Enoteca there someting to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

Strolling Through The Centet

By Roxane G |

Always fun to walk either to go to a movie, eat at restaurants or ice cream stores or Cheesecake Factory. Clothing stores are also great. And The Improv and Dave and Busters. Everything to have fun at this Center and so close to where I live. Perfect!👏👏👏

Food, shop, entertainment

By Robbin S |

This place has it all! It is the most beautiful outdoor mall, with fountains, lights, greenery. Great shopping and plenty of restaurants are available. A large movie theater, outdoor screen, Ferris wheel, and other entertainment are located here. Our family especially loves coming here at night at Christmas time.

مجمع تجاري

By Mubarak Almansoori |

مجمع تجاري جميل جدا حيث يتوفر فيه الكثير من المطاعم والمحلات التجارية وجميل جدا لقضاء معظم الوقت فيه أو قيامك بالتسوق مع العائلة
A very nice commercial complex where there are plenty of restaurants and shops and very nice to spend most of the time or shopping with the family

Something for everybody

By Alan Y |

This place has it all, shopping, movies, restaurants. Virtually any type of food is available here from fine dining to quick and inexpensive.

We like to visit on the weekends but it can be very crowded and parking is sometimes a hassle.

Irvine Spectrum Center, So much to offer.

By Emily E |

Irvine Spectrum Center has everything one could possibly want. Restaurants, Movie Theater, Retail Shops. It's all there.

WOW!!!

By Bev B |

If you can’t find where you want to Dine, to Entertain you or Purchase,—-/ IT DOESN’T exist!!! The Irvine Spectrum Center has EVERYTHING! I’m a Flight Attendant who has traveled the world...Think Mall of America.... Except Outdoors California Lovely!!! I had SO much fun today!

not a friendly place to visit

By ronweasley |

i was on vacation and decided to do some shopping. we saw the spectrum center and decided to stop. we were walking around and there were some really nice fountains so i decided to take a picture of one. security ran up and grabbed me like i was some type of criminal. there are no signs saying no photography. i was told i could not take pictures there or i would be asked to leave. while talking to the security there were teenage girls taking pics of each other by the fountain but they were not asked to stop. then while walking around we saw others taking pictures and security was not asking them to stop. we felt very unwelcome there so after a bit we just left. I would not go back there for any amount of money. i will do my shopping elsewhere

Irvine Spectrum Skating Ice Rink

By backgammon65 |

Great skating ice rink at the Irvine Spectrum, right next to the Giant Ferris Wheel. fun for all ages and fun to skate on ice with warm blue sky above!

Great outdoor mall

By Gma0917 |

It's a great mall. Much better expierience than walking the giant indoor malls. Wish every mall was this cool. Def great if I was local.

Great shopping center

By jackiekay |

Many different stores, food places, ice cream shops and coffee shops. Definitely worth a trip. Don't eat before coming. There are enough choices to appeal to everyone.

Depends What You Want

By keith m |

Let's be honest, how many of us are really going to a shopping mall to actually shop? There are certain stores that are key at Irvine Spectrum in my opinion, these being: Apple Store, Anthropologie, Lululemon. Nordstroms, in a word here, sucks. It's small and doesn't have the same inventory as other Nordstroms. Target, unless it's something quick, don't bother. However, if you are looking for a lunch or dinner and want to stroll around? Jackpot!! Great atmosphere, wonderful selection of restaurants, and fun dessert places abound. It's more of stroll around kind of place rather than, "I have to find X" kind of place.

Irvine Company Looks to Reinvigorate it's Premier Shopping Destination

By Daydream568661 |

With continuous updating, new destination venues, smaller focused specialty shops (to replace the older Macy's) Irvine Company continues to tailor Irvine Spectrum to pull in shoppers and folks just looking for an entertaining place to stroll, eat, and drink. In a day of declining mall attendance they appear to be succeeding.

Nice shops and restaurants

By Richard B |

Now that it is Christmas season, they are ice skating near a very large decorated tree in the area of the ferris wheel.

A great place for everyone

By Monique F |

The Spectrum has something for everyone. Couples, and adults in general, can go to the movies, Dave & Buster's, the Improv, or go for a nice dinner in restaurants like Javier's, Cucina Enoteca, Habana, the Yardhouse, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs, and many more. Teenagers can hang out and shop at Forever 21, American Eagle, Hollister, Free People, H&M and many other stores and have a casual meal at more relaxed restaurants like Subway, Wahoo's, Panda Express, and many more. Families can go with children and stroll around, have a treat at Cold Stone, Häagen-Dazs, Yogurtland, or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and many other cafes. There are some fun activities like climbing on the Luckey climber or playing in the water splashing springs (free), riding the carousel or the train, and for bigger kids : the Giant Wheel. As for shopping, there are many small stores, but somehow if you seriously want to shop, it's not quite the mall. They do have a nordstrom, but it's quite small, and I often don't find what I want there, but I love going to the Spectrum just to walk around with my little niece and nephew,as it has such a pleasant atmosphere, it's a great place to have a treat, and oh, yeah, there's a Target, so somehow I end up swinging by there before going home! A word to foreigners: this is a non-smoking place, which you may love or get really frustated with if you weren't warned.

Nice Upscale Mall

By Azhar M |

This a very nice upscale mall. It is right off 405. It is a huge open air mall with all kinds of restaurants and shops. Parking was adequate. We also saw Star Wars in the 4D movie theater. Great place to spend half a day.

It's a mall with a Ferris wheel

By friskycelery |

I was prompted to pull off the interstate here because I could see the Ferris wheel from the road. It's not a very big Ferris wheel, but still...

This is a pretty outdoor mall, with all the usual stores. There are, however, some interesting restaurants (there is also a Subway if adventure isn't your style.)

Great mall, can spend hours there

By Clarissa C |

The Spectrum is well equipped with a wide variety of shops and eateries. From a Target department store; to clothing stores such as H&M, Charlotte Russe and Old Navy; to restaurants such as Red Robin, PF Chang's, California Pizza Kitchen, and Ruby's Diner. TLT is a particular favorite, serving mexican cuisine such as tacos and nachos with a twist.
The main attraction is obviously the Irvine Spectrum big wheel and the carousel (a favorite with kids).
Would definitely recommend, especially as a family outing.

Huge outdoor mall

By Paula S |

I always enjoy the Irvine Spectrum especially in the evening during the summer. Fun for the entire family. They have an entire children’s section with rides, play area, shops and food. Splash pad just arrived this year. You can get a good workout if you see the entire mall. Plenty of seating along the path if you need to rest or just want to people watch. Shopping for everyone. Many nice restaurants as well as fast food and desserts of all types. Movie theater as well. Tons of parking. Easy access off the 405 or 5 Fwys. Anchor stores are Nordstrom and Target.

Great place to spend the day

By John K |

I recommend this as a MUST when visiting California. This place is beautiful. Much to do, much to eat and plenty to shop.

Visiting my daughter and her fiance there.

By Sheila A |

I was in the park area, which has a cafe, dog park, soccer field, gazebo and play area for the kids. Beautiful area. Quite lovely.

Sunny California outdoor mall

By sharky852 |

We stopped in for an early dinner and some shopping and enjoyed some also fresco dining with great sunshine and relaxing breezes.

Beautiful out door shopping area

By Erica I |

This is a beautiful outdoor shopping area with plenty to do and see. Lots of shopping stores and restaurant options. There is even a water feature and a farris wheel. We found it to be really nice just strolling through the area in the sun. The Yard House restaurant is here and I would highly recommend eating there. Go and enjoy yourself!

Very beautiful place but very busy. Best to go during the week.

By Scott F |

Lots of different restaurants, big 21 screen theater, comic place, Apply store, multiple stores. The only real bad part is the parking and crowds. They are currently building another multi-level parking garage near the Target. Best to go during the week if you can.

Disneyland of restaurants and shops.

By JXMartin |

Multiple types of food restaurants, clothing and retail shops in this mercantile collection with a pedestrian mall and a parking garage attached.

Irvine Spectrum has it all in terms of shopping, entertainment and food.

By chucklavington |

In addition to 20 movie screens, dozens of retail stores and many restaurants, serving every imaginable type of food, the Spectrum offers an ambiance from the architecture to the water features and landscaping. Riding on the large ferris wheel offers a view of the entire area of Orange County surrounding the Spectrum and is well worth the time. Offering something for every age group and family entertainment, it is hard to imagine how large it is.

High end mall

By Andy L |

Quite an high end shopping mall. Lots of shops and restaurants. Just need to walk from end to end to enjoy a relaxing shopping experience. Nice to come late afternoon as it will be cooler in summer.

Shopping with an ambience

By sainbasha |

The spectrum center has been revamped and renovated. The outside areas have been redone with colourful furniture. Some new shops have been opened specially the new H&M store and Apple store. Some new restaurants and eateries have also come up. A must visit when in Irvine.

Lots of food and shopping!

By BayloreDrakk |

Parking is Free and plentiful. Very nice outdoor mall in a classic SoCal style. Lots of good restaurants and high end shopping. I've been there a number of times and will definitely go back. Nice day trip for an afternoon.

More restaurants than shops

By Mrshiggs |

My review is more encompassing of Irvine. It’s so man made there is little soul to the place or culture. Nice restaurants at the Irvine centre, very clean and some shops but nothing warranting a visit if I wasn’t already in the area.

fnatastic place to shop and Have fun

By octapina |

Great place for the family, mothers and children or friends night out. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.

Shopping and dining

By Judy C |

I used to meet friends here regularly who live in the South County. I used to go to the movies there regularly years ago. Now I prefer not to go to the Spectrum. Parking is horrendous. It's too crowded and isn't the quaint spot it once was. Too many generic stores and restaurants. Not worth the effort for me to go there.

Disneyland for Shoppers at this Southern California Destination!

By Daria7 |

Californians tend to "go big" when they do things. Examples: We are the home of Disney, Hollywood, Apple...and just look a our freeway system! We've now taken shopping to that level with the Irvine Spectrum. Located in Irvine...a master planned, picture perfect SoCal community, the Spectrum beckons shoppers and foodies alike. As locals, we often joke that eating our way through the Spectrum is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Lots of restaurants to choose from, a wide variety of stores ranging from Target to Nordstroms, entertainment including an Edwards megaplex, and Dave &Busters, Barnes and Noble bookstore, an Apple Store, and many other options. Plenty of places to sit and people watch, often there is live music on a Friday or Saturday in the summer, a mini ice rink in the winter, and a Ferris Wheel to get a birds eye view of the area year round. It's a nice place to visit.

Irvine Spectrum

Irvine Spectrum is a large outdoor mall. It has many great shops & restaurants & is a nice place to visit. The area is safe & has a police and mall security presence. Steve Concialdi

Spacious mall

By Pooja S |

Good place to walk around and shop from h&m, Old Navy, apple store, Target, cotton on and many more!

Kids can play on the lawn and play around the fountains, take a carousel ride etc.

This place has got many restaurant , yoghurtland and subway and other food joints to hang out and eat.

Best shopping mall in Orange County

By bdr009 |

Great decorations during Christmas time and tons of great places to eat. Parking is sometimes challenging, but just park a little further and you will be fine.

They have a new innovative jungle gym area as well for children!

Very nice open air mall

By Kiwi000001 |

Lots of stores. Lots of food options. Plenty of parking. Not as nice as Fashion Island, but very close.

Meh

By califcasl |

There is nothing outstanding or distinctive about this run-of-the-mill mall. I had to stay nearby to take care of some family business, and ended up here more than I would have liked. Standard stores, boring architecture with an industrial feel.

Fun place

By Doug H |

Lots of places to eat. Not an outlet site, prices are above average. Fun to walk around and browse. People watching at its best. Large movie complex and a fun place to walk around

So Cal shopping experience

By richard H |

If you are looking for a classic southern California shopping experience the Spectrum is the place to go: a huge selection of stores that appeal to every taste and budget, lots of good food and restaurants, a state of the ar movie theatre; a Ferris wheel, merry go round in a secure comfortable outdoor setting similar to a town center. Whats not to like?

Never thought I would rate a shopping mall a 5

By LodiWineBob |

Irvine Spectrum is really pretty amazing. My favorite part is just walking and looking at all the people. One of the few major malls where all stores and restaurants are still open, vibrant, and active. Lots of things for all ages. Teens especially love walking and being seen here which excites my teen age grandchildren. There is enough parking but if you want to get in and out quick consider using valet service.

Great place to eat/dine/shop and walk it off

By Miguel J |

It's a great place to either shop, eat, dine in, catch a movie or simply just enjoy the place along with it's fountains and why not, grab a snack on the multiple options there are.

Fabulous outdoor mall

By 17sherryp |

Enjoy the California weather in this Irvine mall packed with all the stores, restaurants and family friendly activity areas. The ferris wheel is fun! You can catch a movie, dine at any type of restaurant. You will find stores from Target to Nordstrom.

Beautiful Setting!

By galvarez2018 |

The shopping, eating and other entertainment choices are excellent. One of the best outdoor malls I have visited.

Highly overrated...

By MhzGal |

...and the parking is tough! This is the Irvine Co.’s very successful attempt the fuse shopping, dining, and entertainment venue. It’s HUGE and still growing. It attracts a lot of people, especially on weekends. The shopping isn’t all that great, mostly stores in any mall, but it’s the restaurants that really stand out here. And there are a LOT of them! There’s also a comedy club, movie theatre complex with multiple screens, a Ferris wheel, trackless train, ice skating in the winter, and an enormous video (and other) gaming emporium on site. There’s a lot to see and do, but I will stress again parking can be tough and far away from where you want to be. Although I live fairly close, I do go often. Who wants to fight the crowds and the parking?

Mall with many options!

By Kayern |

A great mall!
There are many dinning options and also a variety of stores that caters to different needs!

Also, the Ferris wheel and the kids outdoor playground is a great place for families as well!

This is a Mall that is off the freeway and has a large selection of things to do for all.

By 1london2 |

This is a really nice place. It has a lot of finer places to shop as well as some local shops like Target. I like it here they offer a lot of places to eat as well. The thing a bit different is the Merry go round and the Italian ferris wheel . You can ride each for a small price and the views from the top are pretty special. There is a lot to do to keep you occupied.

Average mall - the outlets are better

By Vinber |

It is a nice mall if not going for the stores but spending an evening out. The stores are not very many compared to the outlets in California. There is going on some construction work so probably will be different in the summer of 2018.

If your passing through Southern California, Don't miss this!

By Cyber B |

The Irvine Spectrum is an open air plaza. Something for everyone. Lots of shops and restaurants. There are enough food choices to accommodate everyone in your party. Lots of entertainment options with the movie theater, Dave & Busters plus the giant ferris wheel. They have a couple of large parking facilities, but it can still take time to find a parking place. If you have reservations or are trying to see a movie, plan to spend some time looking for a place to park.

Fun outdoor mall

By Tour196189 |

Tons of shops and restaurants. Also, there’s a Ferris wheel and other kids activities. Nordstrom is there too. Some of my favorite restaurants there are PF Changs, Yardhouse, Cheesecake Factory. Really fun place to hang out, but I don’t like the parking situation. Can be really hard finding a spot on the weekend.

It's a shopping center!

By Art and Food Lover |

I am not sure why this is categorized as an "attraction". There is a multiplex movie theater, a merry go round, a fun climbing contraption for young children, a Ferris wheel and ice skating in the winter. But primarily it's a cluster of clothing stores, shoe stores and several well known department store chains as well as over priced restaurants that are national or regional chains. The architecture is Moorish inspired, by the Alhambra in Spain. The Spectrum's claim to fame is that it was probably the first of it's kind. Since the weather is so temperate, everything is out of doors. This is an "open-air" mall. It epitomizes, "If we build it, they will come." It has been a huge financial success since it's positioned and the intersection of 2 major SoCal freeways. Now you may understand why I question whether it's an "attraction".

Great atmosphere to shop

By flyby10 |

Great family shopping experience at Spectrum. Great shops, great restaurants. Love Brio. Need more EV stations!!

Great Place

By Agrawal A |

There's everything you need. Name it and it's there. Restaurants, shopping, place for kids to play. It's not even much crowded

Looking a lot like Christmas!!!

By ladyzire |

Been a while since i've been to this center. It is absolutely amazing now and has pretty much every store, restaurant and entertainment anyone could be looking for. Target even provides a shuttle bus which runs every 10 mins! The skating rink is set up next to the biggest Christmas tree I've seen so far this year. It is extraordinary and the children around were all mesmerized, including me!

Love it

By Kelly M |

Free parking, lots of great shops, places to sit down to rest. There are coffee shops, bars, and a movie theater. This is my favorite shopping destination.

Not such happening place

By Keshav Gupta |

There is more hype for visiting Irvine spectrum center, but there is nothing great. Its a normal shopping mall with eateries. Very crowded place, and its challenging to walk around specially in evening.
The so called giant wheel is not giant at all, and its for small kids.

Cool outdoor mall... parking is a bear

By Robert S |

We have been coming here since the Spectrum opened in 1995. It is constantly under construction, but there are a wide variety of stores, restaurants and other retail that make this place a go-to venue in South County.

As mentioned, parking is a pain. Whoever designed the parking structures should be strung up. Narrow lanes, tight turns, and interminable levels to travel up to find a spot.

We avoid the Spectrum on weekend evenings because of the crowds and parking.

THE PLACE TO BE

By Val W |

If you find yourself without an agenda, you can definitely go to the SPECTRUM and decide what you want to do AFTER you get there. There is Valet parking too! I love that part, especially when you are late for a movie. The theaters there are the best in Orange County! So comfortable! For dining out...there is something for everyone! Literally they have everything. CPK is always a favorite for me. Best part....shopping shopping shopping! If you have an hour or 4 hours - you can find just what your looking for there!

Last visit...

By laura p |

It was with sadness I report my last trip to the spectrum. It’s been a fave of mine for 20 years plus—- for food, entertainment and shopping.
Over the years things stores have changed and restaurants come and go.. but it’s always been a great destination ... Fabulous memories made here!!!
Off to Oregon I go......

Wow!

By Mike B |

I haven't been to the Irvine Spectrum Center in about 10 years. The upgrades are incredible with multi level parking, new shops and attractions. I barely recognized where I was. True upscale shopping and dining experience. Go at night for best ambiance.. Enough said, why aren't you here already!?

Great place for outdoor shopping and restaurants

By Leanne1205 |

Visited here multiple times on our trip! Great for our little one to run around and had lots of fountains and cool architecture. She loved seeing the huge Ferris wheel. Shopping here is very accessible (most shopping in Orange County is very high end/overpriced) but these are all great family friendly shops. Lots of restaurant options (quick and sit down). Definitely recommend!

Excellent

By vivandvic |

I am writing a review regarding my wonderful stay . I have been here for 3 weeks already and received the best of service from Angelica & Charline bartending. Always on top of things with cleanliness and awesome drinks at all times. It has been a pleasure

One Stop Shop

By Bri S |

Beautiful place to shop, eat, attend a movie, comedy show, or just sit around and enjoy the palm trees.

Great Theater… easy parking.

By colby101105 |

Excellent place to shop, stroll and eat. Lots of places to eat… we went to the movies at this place and saw West Side Story. Wonderful Theater with great sound. Looks as if during the lock down of Covid they were able to remodel the lobby. Great idea- very sleek and minimalistic. Perfect Addition!!!

First time visitor

By heaterguy100 |

In town for business and staying at nearby DoubleTree. Came here to eat dinner and get a few dress shirts. This is a giant outdoor entertainment complex with shops, restaurants and and movie theater. We have something like this in Florida where I’m from. Definitely worth stopping by to explore.

A beautiful warm and sunny day after a cold and rainy winter.

By Tzipster |

The Irvine spectrum Center is an outdoor mall. It has something for everyone. Lots of shops and restaurants. Lots of places to sit outdoors. It is always busy with people walking and shopping, families with children and pets. There are lots of parking places but sometimes it is hard to find an empty spot.
There are high-end and medium priced shops at the spectrum center but you can spend a lovely day there without buying anything.

Very popular place to spend an evening

By Shyam S |

The mall has mid to high end stores with neatly landscaped pathways. There are a wide variety of restaurants for eats.

Need some walking muscles to enjoy this place

By PushBan |

An Open Air Mall, would be an easy way to describe this place. Good Options to eat, but your wallet takes a hit. Not much for kids, but the Giant Wheel is a highlight.

Cool Shopping complex

By Pauline P |

Great place to spend the day. Lots of shops and places to eat. They even have a Ferris wheel and Carousel.

If you build it, they will come

By Art and Food Lover |

This was the idea behind the Spectrum when it was first built. They just finished a remodel of one of the quadrants. I am waiting for the new play area neat Target to be completed. They moved the carousel near the Target to keep the kids oriented activities together. In the winter, old and young can ice skate by the ferris wheel.
A spenders paradise; movies, shops and restaurants galore!

A fun evening at the Spectrum.

By Chuck E |

My wife and I went out for dinner and a movie. As usual on a Saturday evening, pretty crowded, but not horribly so. We had a drink and lite dinner at Dave and Busters and walked over to the Theater complex to see Han Solo. All was good.except the parking. The structure was a little congested and it took awhile to find a spot.

Decent entertaintment / dining mall (but not really a shopping mall)

By MikeFo |

A good place to come locally, offering a good range of dining options plus entertainment. Not really a place to come to shop. It is fairly easy to move around, relaxed atmosphere.

Clean Mall with Pretty Good Selection of Stores.

By NeoNorth |

The Irvine Spectrum is a great place to hangout for the evening or afternoon if you are in the OC area. The shops comprise of a good amount of smaller named stores that I believe are residents to the CA area. There are also your more mainstream businesses here as well so it is a nice blend.

Traveler Tip: The crowd is a lot of teenagers/college kids from the local schools mixed together with business men and women.

Overall: A pretty good outdoor center with decent shopping options and restaurants.

Everything in one amazing place!

By Capuppylover |

Irvine Spectrum is a destination for Orange County and even for visitors from far away countries. Upscale shops, restaurants for any budget, movie theater with IMAX and visual interest everywhere you look with fountains, ferris wheel, merry-go-round and other delights for children and all who are young at heart. Best of all, our Labradoodle is welcome everywhere. We love to shop, eat, and go to movies in this huge and friendly center.

Always a winner!

By Lucy M |

Looking for a place to eat- shop-catch a movie- people watch-dog watch?
The Spectrum offers all of these options. They continue to grow and bring in new vendors. It has always been a great place to waste time!

First time

By Tom C |

Went to the Spectrum for dinner and look at the place - incredibly large shopping complex. Well designed, lots of parking lots and valet options on outside, then walking areas to restaurant row, or to movies and then to shops. Will return next time in town.

Spectrum Center for Entertainment

By Sue A |

I live 3 miles south of the spectrum so it’s very convenient and I’m here frequently! I enjoy that they have a wide and varied selection of restaurants here as I’ve been to most of them and most of them are very good! The movie theater is nice and convenient with parking nearby and while they do have a Nordstrom, it’s a small store with fewer designer brands.
The spectrum center has many children and young adult type of stores, when compared to other malls around here. The only store I shop at here is Lululemon but I come here frequently for the restaurants and to walk around and get some exercise. Occasionally, I’ll come to the Apple Store for an appointment but the atmosphere is nice. They keep it very clean given the number of people that come through here and I think it’s very well run! Of course minus one star for the parking which is often full and you have to spend quite a bit of time looking! They do have one large parking lot, but I like to park on the other side.

Buzz

By Vince A |

This place was buzzin. We spent a weekend in Irvine right next to the Spectrum and I'm glad we were there. This place was full of people. The shops were mid to high end. The restaurant selection was unlimited. There is something for everyone.

Its ok but....

By Jim M |

Restaurants and shops are fine, movies theater is terrific, but overall, its high priced and parking can be daunting on some sides. They are under constant construction (annoying). Overall, not a bad afternoon, but I prefer Fashion Island.

New Spectrum

By Kevobi |

I went to the Spectrum to buy a cable for my computer at the Apple Store. It wasn’t where it used to be, so I was forced to walk around a bit to find it. They have really made the place a lot more kid, and family, friendly. The water feature and climbing area are both popular with kids, as is the iconic Ferris wheel.

Easy for children

By Michel L |

It is very good to walk in this place for the Young children. They are safe.
The different shops are important and privés are good. The People are very gentle.

Spectrum centre. Irvine. CA

Good shopping centre. Excellent restaurants. Good food. Children amusement rides too to keep them engrossed. Must visit hangout place.

Nice surprise near FWY 405 & 5

By karife28 |

Nice surprise near FWY 405 & 5 !! We stop to eat & wait for the rush hour to pass.
We loved the architecture of the mall. Lots of plants, very green.
It has a ferris wheel and more than a few restaurants.
We loved it.

Not much else to do in Irvine

By MJ-Sid |

Irvine is a sleepy old family town. Very clean, safe and kid friendly but very boring too. Although there are a lot of parks and restaurants in the city, if you want someplace to go in the evening and walk around and relax, there are not many other options. That is why Spectrum really stands out. It has plenty of shopping, restaurants, movie theater and little rides etc. for kids to be kept entertained. There is a comedy theater with dining, iMax movie complex, dessert shops, Cheesecake factory etc. and plenty of free parking.
Lately there has been a lot of construction going on at Spectrum. Hopefully they will be done by Summer 2018, when the tourists from Middle East arrive. I cannot imagine going to Spectrum with the construction interruptions when there will be thousands of tourists roaming around in the area.
Overall it is a good place to go to. I usually go there to just walk around, grab a bite to eat and watch movies. I don't shop there too much as most of the places are priced according to the high rent area this has become.

Fn

By fanaraghi |

Nice, friendly, place, lots of chairs added, makes visits cozier with kids and friends. Even for elderly to hang out. Lots of stores and restaurant for any budget and favors. I wish they change the sofas in front of movie theater. They are old, huge, uncomfortable to sit. Not every one is above 6 feet!
I would like to see more activities for young kids too. Overal the best place to hang out anytime of the day.

A very pretty shopping experience

By GladstoneEquestrian |

The Spectrum has lots of pretty water fountains, a fun ferris wheel, tons of places to eat, fabulous parking and lots of shops.

Fun place to hang out and shop on a Friday night

I really like the way they design the new parking lot, with Valle parking, I think the whole area belong to Irvin co, and they really made great ideas for Valle parking improvement

Great location and restaurants.

Nice area to have lunch or dinner. The Counter is a nice convenient restaurant with great made to order burgers. Worth a visit. Nice outdoor seating.

Great place to just hang out

By Charles S |

My family and I visit the Irvine spectrum fairly often. It's one of the better malls in Orange County because it's outdoor, has a ton of shops, and well kept. It also seems like it's one of the few malls left around that isn't in disrepair. We go here just to walk around with our family sometimes.

LOVE the SHOPS💘💋💋

My first time @ The Irvine Spectrum

By Yvonne |

Hello I’m a native of California and have never been to the Irvine Spectrum before. May I say 😯 WOW!!!! I was absolutely amazed with the Ferris wheel, Carousel, multiple fountains, and especially the art murals were GREAT!! Glad I finally got to visit and spend some time walking around and seeing this beautiful place. I can’t wait to go back sometime and enjoy the atmosphere!!

Thank you Irvine Spectrum for making my visit not only special but also Memorable!! Look forward to coming back soon.

Average Shopping Centre with good food outlets

By kiwichick2012 |

Limited store choices here, but great food. Recommend The Cheesecake Factory if you are craving sweet cheesecake.

Large mall

By afergster |

Lots of options for shopping here. Lots of restaurants as well. Large Ferris wheel in center that lights up at night.

Shopping and Margaritas!

By Here2Sea |

This really is a great shopping mall, but my favorite part of this center is that they have a fantastic Javiers Restaurant here with a large open air patio seating option. My favorite go to items are the skinny margaritas and ceveche ahi. Every menu item I've tried is fantastic.

Clean and Safe

By MRJB-1 |

This outdoor center is clean, appears safe and is well attended. Outdoor spaces are kept up well. Super fun to people watch. Tons of stores, many events at many stores, movie theater, and restaurants! There is a nice nail salon too.
Adding even more restaurants and retail spaces. Parking is easy, they have valet and you can have food delivered to your car curbside from the restaurants. Oh, and in the parking structure you can opt to have your car detailed while shopping! I love this part of California Living!

Amazing Outdoor Shopping Mall

By Norman H |

An adventure of walking outside to over 130 stores. Several locations to eat for all ages and price ranges. Kids can enjoy a huge ferris wheel and merry-go round. A great place to take a date for dinner and a movie. Ample parking surrounds the entire spectrum. Easy access from all directions.

Want Covid, come here.

By Mike M |

When you walk in there is a sign that says be courteous, be safe, stay 6 feet apart and wear a face covering. Well, as Capt Barbossa said, “it’s more like guidelines” adults and teens everywhere not wearing mask and in the play area with the kids. Basically a super spreader paradise. Asked a security guard to enforce the face covering, he said they were not. Grabbed our child and hit the road. Nice place to eat and get some air, but not if that air is potentially loaded with covid 19 smack dab in the height of a pandemic. Won’t be back until the pandemic is over. Go to downtown Disney where they care about your health!

Vibrant mall

By KelloggTraveler |

This is a destination mall that has quite a range of stores from a Nordstrom to Target. There are restaurants that range from fast casual to fine dining. The mall gets crowded on weekends so parking can be a challenge. This is one of the nicest outdoor malls in Orange County.

Best place for families to spend weekend in

Very nice

By QATAR2007 |

The center very very nice and huge... you can spend all the day here..
Have cinema , shops, cafe , playing area , restaurant and much more..
Too many parking and there’s also valet parking service...

Really high recommend!

Shopping and movie

By Adventure601558 |

Never enjoy going to the Spectrum because the roads going into and out of it are quite confusing. Couple that with seemingly unending reconstructions and redesigning there which result in obstructions and detours all over the place does not translate into a pleasant shopping experience.

Shopping

By Med C |

Offer lots of choices for dinning and shopping within the mid price tag. One of the newer shopping malls I have visited. Visited the place over 4-5 trips as shopping mall is nearest to our hotel. Recommend Umami burger - Japanese styled burgers with good sizing.

These prices are demonic

By T3C-NINEtravels |

I went there and spent $20 on one small meal. Everything is hiked up beyond belief. Even the lemonades are over $5. It's absolutely unholy.

Shopping with Grandson

Ease of store locations and accessible in all directions

A variety of stores which for the most part, I can find a variety of stores that stock many sizes and competitive prices.

Great Outdoor Shopping

By MandC0218 |

Always a fun and pleasant shopping experience. A few unique restaurants, cafes, and even a dim sum place. A very good selection of chain restaurants as well. It's such a multifaceted and fun shopping center to browse and eat. It's also a happening place to hang out. Highly recommended.

Great place to shop

By David K |

The Irvine Spectrum is a great place to shop and eat and see a movie. It is easy to get to, nestled between the 5Fwy and the 405Fwy, where they merge. There is plenty of parking and a variety of shops and restaurants and a big movie theater. Typically I avoid the weekend crowds and go during the week.

Improv

By Larry D |

Date night at the improv. Convenient valet parking, no wait to get in, always nice. Food is actually pretty good. Service has improved a lot. Saw Andrew Santino. Great time. Seating a little cramped but it wasn't a full house

Los of shops and restaurants so something for everyone

Best outdoor mall in Southern California.

By StevenBerlin |

This has to be the most beautiful and largest outdoor mall in Southern California. Just walking around and seeing all the shops and restaurants makes you feel as if you are in a different country. We love coming here to either sightsee or for shopping and lunch.

We eat at either the fun shake shack or Javier's.

Parking is easy and they have a really cool Ferris wheel.

Nice shopping mall , you’ll find cinema , Nordstrom, target and other great shops there . Many restaurants and a free shuttle from train station.

Love the Irvine Spectrum!

By Suzanne R |

The Irvine Spectrum Center is the place my family goes to shop for clothes and eat at the variety of restaurants available there. We've been going there for years and have seen the evolution of the place to the large footprint it is now with lots of unique shops and big name stores. While Macy's closed down recently, there is still Nordstrom to anchor the mall, along with Target, Old Navy and others. It's convenient location makes it a great place to meet up with friends, with lots of outdoor seating spaces and fountains, along with the ferris wheel to make for great ambiance.

Fun spot for food, shopping, & more

By Hotelsnobb |

The Spectrum keeps getting bigger and bigger everytime I go back. Parking has improved, as they had added several parking structures. Lots of great stores for shopping in a pretty open air space with fountains galore. About 30 restaurants to satisfy everyone's cravings. Fun to people watch or just to walk around and window shop.

Xmas Family Holiday

Great sports bar with a wide and varied food menu. Atmosphere was awesome with a range of TV's to watch NBA, College basketball and Ice Hockey. Staff were attentive. Returned some three times whilst we were away.

A great place to bring visitors as it has all the restaurants you would want and a great variety of shops---great place for teenagers

Very nice place

By SweetPak |

I visit this place every time I manage to be around Irvine. I love Spectrum I think it is the perfect place for families and friends to spend some time together. Many shops, restaurants and dining options you can’t go wrong by picking one
Hello Kitty Cafe is very cute and the tea time there expensive but fun . I always return to Somi Somi and I’d suggest their ice creams to everyone
There’s also a Target if you want to buy something before heading home
Plenty of parking and a beautiful Edwards cinema (now under renovation)
Dave and Busters will be a fun solution for a night out
I always come back for more !
Suggested and a well deserved 5 stars

Convenient Mall in Irvine

By Alliesfamily |

This is the only mall shopping in Irvine. Irvine has plenty of strip malls but if you want to do any non grocery store, non Target shopping, you will have to come here. Parking structure is large and there is a ferris wheel there. Restaurants and traditional mall stores. Not surprising that it’s very busy on weekends.

Favourite Shopping Destination

By Canadian22madison |

Love the feel of walking around this outdoor mall. So many shops to choice from for any want or need item. Been coming here for years on my annual vacation to Orange County. Great choice of eats too. From The Cheesecake Factory to the fish tacos. The little candy shop is filled with nostalgic items. Only downside I can think of is that there always seems to be construction going on, otherwise a five star locale. Great for family or couples. Ample parking and close to major roads and highways.

This is an amazing place

By Douglas D |

I often go to the Spectrum Center in Irvine this is an amazing place that has everything for the family including restaurants shopping and entertainment. It's very clean and safe for whole family. Plenty of areas to valet and Park

Love this mall

By Karen C |

This is my favourite mall in the Orange County area!

We came here a few evenings for dinner (lots of restaurants to choose from). I shopped here on my own one afternoon (hubby was in business meetings). Lots of parking.

You can ride the ferris wheel or carousel, see a movie, get ice cream, etc. Outdoor malls are so nice.

Amazing virtual reality experience!

By PerrinPerrin |

Wandered the mall and found SPACES, a VR experience. It was a blast as we all played the resistance in the Terminator experience. It is totally the future.
When we arrived, we had our faces scanned by a cool machine and then when they put sensors on our feet, hands, back and a virtual reality headset on, we could see each other's face on top of resistance bodies! It was hilarious, intense, fun, everything.
Great thing to do with friends or date night. Inexpensive for the experience.

Shop, Eat, Relax or Watch A Movie

By AlmaM |

"The Spectrum", as the locals call it, is a great place to have lunch or dinner and stroll through the nice shops. It can get a little crowded on weekend nights but people watching is half the fun. Some of my favorite restaurants are Javier's (High End Mexican), Cucina Enoteca (you must order the squash blossoms) and PF Changs. Brio is fantastic too, in fact, you can't go wrong with food here.

Join in if you like crowds

By princeofpinot |

First the bad news. Parking can be a nightmare on weekends - everyone is aggressively looking for a parking place. Valet is available. Completely outdoors so there are few places to rest out of sun. Packed with groups of young people on sunny weekends. Many kiosks line walkways urging you try samples. I find it much more hectic and less appealing than Fashion Island that is also outdoors. The good news is that there is a store to please everyone from Nordstrom shoppers to value priced teen clothing and jewelry stores. You won't find the real high end stores like Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza and so this center attracts many young people. Many restaurant choices from casual like Chipotle to finer dining like Cucina Enoteca. Practically all well known chains have their restaurants here. There is a Ferris wheel for those inclined and a train on wheels. The movie theater is cavernous with many theaters showing a wide choice of top movies day and night. I am a senior and honestly, I avoid this place like the plague on weekends and only go weekdays occasionally for the restaurants since I prefer shopping in more high end stores in other centers such as the two mentioned above. The Nordstroms at South Coast is much better.

Everything you want

By A Q |

Irvine spectrum is one of my favorite spots in Irvine. It has all that you need for a family afternoon outing. The restaurants are great. Lots of variety when it comes to food. You have a big movie theater and major stores. At night the spectrum makes a good place to walk around and relax. The parking situation is getting harder and harder as they are expanding but I hope they can continue to make parking available.

Yeah new bed

The people at the sleep number store were wonderful we tried out a couple of beds and decided the split king. We are very happy it was delivered on Friday and we love it. The delivery and set up team were amazing. We give the store a 10!

Euphoria of action

Just about any type of store or restaurant is here. It is always abuzz. Everyone loves the Spectrum ..... kids, teens, and adults alike ....... and of course, our best friends, the doggies.

Good variety of shops

I particularly enjoyed going to YoughartLand - best FroYo ever! If you go to Irvine spectrum center try Caseys Cupcakes - heavenly! Plenty of parking and the cinema is a good also!

Living in OC

Our family used to visit the Spectrum mall every other weekend. My toddler loved riding the train. During the summer, the mall hosted "toddler tuesdays". It was packed so if they host this summer, arrive early for free kids activities.

The stores have smaller selections than other retail chains but we never went for the shopping - Although we always managed to either eat at one of the many food choices or buy something for the kids.

Beautiful shopping area

By Allison M |

We stopped here kind of randomly on our last day in California. We had a wonderful afternoon shopping and eating. The stores were great (and there was a great variety). We enjoyed the food, and there is good coffee shops. There are also some nice fountains and seating areas. Great place to spend an afternoon!

many things to do.....

By alanreyes |

This mall is always clean and updated with plenty of seating to relax after shopping or just sit and people watch. This place is good for couples, friends, families, or kids to hangout. Great place to eat or go to the movies.

Variety of shops, eats and entertainment

By LucyRichardo |

Amusement rides, shopping and dining, Spectrum Center has it all. From a few hours to all day, this is a great place for family, business or just to relax and get away.

One of the places to be in the O.C.

By geotech522 |

This is the place to be in Orange County. This shopping center is not as large as the South Coast Shopping Center in Costa Mesa, but it has almost everything you need for the shopping experience. In addition, it has a large Ferris Wheel and Carousel for the kids as well as a motorized train ride that goes through a fair bit of the shopping center. It has lots of stores and some are unique. It is anchored by Nordstroms and Target and has tons of great restaurants. This is the place to be at night as it is magical to see the lights on the attractions and there is life to the place.

Good Centre to visit

By Anjali |

It has a lot of brands both for shopping and eating. Neat and clean with lots of washrooms if you need to visit.

Has a large Target store which is very customer friendly.

Lots of sitting places for you to rest incase you get tired of walking. The area is all walking and kids friendly. There is ice skating, merry go round, carousal etc for kids to enjoy, Cinemas for you to chill if you want to.

Good place to spend a few hours shopping.

Great shopping

Great shopping!

By Johan S |

I was here with my daughter, 13 years old, and there was plenty of good shops for teenagers. The cinema looked nice but we never visited. We had dinner at two places and they were ok. As expected.

Great shopping.

By ticoscen |

Probably the nicest mall you’ll ever see or experience. Irvine Improv comedy club is top notch. Restaurants are diverse and amazing. VIP movie options and lots of palm trees. Clean and super nice outdoor mall.

Good luck with parking

By skmr_ca |

Spectrum now has a large selection of all kinds and levels of Stores like Apple, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Verizon, Tilly's, B & N, Mom-Pop stores and over 40 food places like Veggie Grill, Subway, PF Chang, Pieology, Habana, Cucina, Chipotle, CPK etc. etc and the Theaters.
Overrated but still It is an experience to wander around looking at shops and crowds of youngsters. Then there is the Giant wheel, gives a good view and soooo slow.
Your K9 friend allowed on a leash.
I stay away during weekends as Parking is impossible.

Del Frisco’s

Great place to spend the day

Great outdoor shopping & dining plaza. Lots of covered shade to walk around while you shop, & chairs to sit & hang outdoors. There's a movie theater & great restaurants to try out each time you visit. Lots of places to get a yummy dessert. A large Ferris wheel that lights up at night. Parking surrounds the Spectrum with outdoor & covered lots, but can get busy on the weekends & during lunch on the weekdays. There's something for everyone!

Great Place

By Traci P |

If you reside in Irvine or are just visiting - Irvine Spectrum is a great place to go. You can find a plethora of shops, great restaurants, comedy, movies and more! The Ferris wheel provides a great view of the area.

Shopping and Eating

By sc0ttl0nghurst |

I went to the Irvine Spectrum and was amazed at the number of shops and restaurants. The facility is spotless and they are just completing a major renovation which should make the Spectrum even more appealing.

Corporation Have Taken Over The Spectrum

By webcritic1ez |

I have lived in Irvine for over 15 years and over the past 6 plus years the Irvine Spectrum Center has become a place for large corporate establishments, because they are the only ones who can afford the ridiculous rents the Irvine Company is charging. The have completely eliminated the independent restaurants, the night life entertainment and have turned the place into an overpriced outdoor mall that lacks any individuality. The Irvine Company has been destroying Irvine for years, they don;t give a crap about the people who live there anymore.

Great Mexican food

By Athena G |

We enjoyed a great lunch here; seriously good Mexican food, fun and friendly staff and left enough behind for another person (you could have taken the left-overs home for lunch the next day!)
Seafood enchiladas were a particular standout, and the house Margherita was fantastic.

Amazing!

By Voyageuse4life |

Beautifully planned outdoor mall with lots of attractions for kids. Ferris wheel, train, fountains, carousel! Great selection of restaurants and decadence. Just wish they had a bigger Nordstrom.
Lots of events and perfect for families who want to enjoy a day outside and also run a few errands.

Ride a carousel, fine dining, 21 movie theatres-including IMAX, multiple fountains, kid friendly...
Ice skating in winter! comedy club, and the best collection of stores. Great place to people watch. If you are an out of town visitor- Do not miss this place-

great outdoor mall and fun for families

By scubacher |

We live only 15 min. from here and haven't been in a while. For Christmas, decorations are beautiful. HUGE Christmas tree, ice skating, and lots of shopping and restaurants. They have made a lot of great improvements and even though it gets crowded, parking wasn't too terrible even during the busy time.

Parking is horrendous, stores and restaurants are fabulous!

By 2beans2000 |

Easy access at the 5/405 split.

Parking is basically a nightmare. If you have a dinner reservation (go to the new HABANA RESTAURANT, it’s fabulous!) be sure to allow an extra 15 minutes to park.

I know, they have valet stations but they’re not always easily accessed.

Great restaurants and some great retail outlets that just aren’t around at other places. Where else can you find a “HELLO KITTY CAFE”?

The most beautiful outdoor shopping mall we’ve been to….

By Luv_ Rachmaninoff_No2 |

We were staying in Newport Beach and my teen found this amazing shopping mall. It’s the most beautiful outdoor shopping mall we’ve been to and has all our favorite shops & restaurants. It’s very easy to drive to (no scary highways) and we had no issues finding parking. The weather in Southern California was perfect during our visit in April and this was a beautiful place to shop, dine & walk around.

Wish there were more sales

By daikin |

Wonderful place to shop even in rain all shops are short distance away and plenty of places to hide also they had a huge Christmas tree for the holidays

Relaxing

By Julie C |

I needed some time to myself to just relax a bit. The Irvine Spetrum NAILED it. I love to people watch and this place giveS you that and much more. Great food, great shops, and just a nice place to just walk around and enjoy yourself. Since then I have taken my kids there. They had a great time just playing on (fake) grass area in front of the Ferris wheel. Thanks Irvine for five if us a great place for the whole family.

GeneC

By Eugene C |

Very convenient and nice assembly of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Range of restaurants go from fast food to deluxe sit down facilities. Shops range from family shopping to upscale boutiques and quality department stores. Movie complex is modern and large number of screens offer good variety of current releases.

A little like shopping in a theme park...

By James Weaver |

I have never really understood the concept here. This can explain my infrequent visits. While there are many good stores and restaurants, they are what for me has become and exercise in walking past at least half of them who cater to an audience younger in age. We had an hour to wait until our movie began, and had enough time to explore a bit of the center. Have not been to a Comedy Club in years and my interest is now back while walking past The Improve. Looked into some promising restaurants, a bit on the high $ side for entrees, but on a Thursday night at 7:30 PM, doing well. If only the 405 South were a bit less used between 4 and 7, we would more than likely be here more often.

Shopping and having a great time doing it.

By Gary B |

A wonderful place to take the family for great shopping and great food...You will not be boarded walking around all the great shops...Javiers is a amazing restaurant with Baja style seafood that is out of this world good......

Great cheese cake after shopping or cinema

By Farnaz E |

We did window shopping and we went to cheese cake factory for some cheese cake , it was really delicious. I think you must try its cheese cakes.

Fun for everyone

By Beth Eepoo C |

This is such a unique place. I take visitors here whenever I can. Lots of shopping in unique shops and great restaurants. To top it off a movie theater! My friend visited from out of state and was so enchanted!

Sometimes they have fun events

By Hiromi H |

Sometimes I go for Bristol Farms because they have Cocomels. Sometimes I'm here for Habana (or Wahoo's). Most recently, we were there to shop at H&M. I have been to the Hello Kitty Cafe and the Barnes and Noble. I have been on the Ferris Wheel. Sometimes they have fun events. I think it is difficult to get in and out of here though and so generally try to avoid this shopping mall when possible or at the very least go during off-peak hours.

Great Shopping and dining

By osvaldom397 |

Love this outdoor shopping center. It has an amusement park, great restaurants and excellent shopping. Enjoyed every minute I was there, even when I would go just for my daily walks.

Best Mall I Know Of

By Colby S |

I never really thought to make a review of Irvine Spectrum since I always just took it for granted, but I might as well give my two cents on it now.

I've been coming here since I was a little boy and it has been through many changes. I remember there used to be a Medieval Times store, a Love Sac store, and a magician store filled with quirky items like puppets and the like all in the same court. There was more space for parking before, but now that's been filled in with new businesses, which makes things a bit more congested and bottle-necked. The Macy's as well has since been demolished and smaller stores will fill in the void. The Improv Comedy Club is still here, but was moved to a spot near the movie theater. The old space has been replaced with a Kona Grill (which I might check out one of these days).

The movie theater is fantastic and has a lot of screens for new movies, including IMAX where I remember seeing Batman Returns, The Lion King, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Interstellar (in 70 mm.). The prices are a bit expensive but I'm a Regal Club member which allows me to get free movie tickets sometimes (I've seen Wolf of Wall Street and Thor: Ragnorak at this theater for free). There is a Dave and Busters, Target, Barnes and Noble, Apple (where I bought the MacBook Air that I'm writing this review with) and other stores, along with multiple restaurants like Subway, The Yard House, Red Robin, Chipotle, Ruby's, CPK and more. The architecture is really nice and timeless, reflecting the region's Spanish heritage while also throwing in some Moorish/Islamic elements similar to the Alhambra. They also have a ferris wheel and carousel and while I've never been on either they both make this place more family friendly and help Irvine Spectrum stand out from other malls and shopping centers. One of the quirky newer additions I like is The Ride 7D, which operates like Star Tours at Disneyland only you shoot at things on the screen.

I have to be honest, this is practically a second home for me. I see people from all ethnicities and backgrounds walking around me which helps make this place so vibrant and full of life. It has the right amount of high-end shops and middle-class fare that appeals to the whole spectrum (no pun intended) and brings everybody in. Definitely one of the best malls I know of.

Great Visit

By agnosticdev |

My family had a great visit to the spectrum. Parking was free, the atmosphere is great, and my 2 year old daughter loved the carousel. I highly recommend.

Colourful place

By Tamilyn1 |

Just walking through the Spectrum Center was very enjoyable. The atmosphere is quite relaxing. Love the water features and sitting areas.. There is a variety of places to shop and eat. The center was very clean and appears well taken care of.

Great overall experience

By maijaw300 |

Me & my young family love Spectrum!
It's for you if you like lots of shops, fountains, cafes, restaurants; there are nail bars, hair salons, toy shops, etc. Plenty of different cuisine options with gluten free, vegan options, etc.
There's a climbing frame my 5 y.o. never tires playing on, a carousel and a Giant Wheel. It honestly ticks all the boxes! And did I mention that it's free parking?

Review of Irvine spectrum center

Sprawling Outdoor Mall

By MK2000 |

The Irvine Spectrum is a major Orange County shopping destination with seemingly limitless fashion, dining and entertainment options.

Developed as part of a master planned community by mega-developer The Irvine Company, this well maintained venue was recently updated/expanded and incorporates some interesting architectural flourishes. It radiates a festive and energetic atmosphere, replete with an iconic 108-foot ferris wheel and carousel.

Once you find a parking space in one of the gigantic multi-story parking structures (free), you enter into a vast complex of walkways and promenades that can occasionally be challenging to navigate through if you are seeking a specific location in the mall.

The Irvine Spectrum focuses on food and entertainment. There are literally dozens of dining options, and the restaurant list is too long to include here. Choices range from fast food favorites (Subway, Chipoltle), to casual standbys (Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs) to upscale eateries (Javier's-Mexican, Del Frisco's Grill) and the more exotic (Capital Seafood, Robata Wasa). Entertainment options run the gamut from Dave & Busters, to a 21 screen movie theater to the Improv Comedy Club.

Yes, there is plenty of shopping, too! Major retailers Nordstrom, Target, H&M, Sephora and Apple are represented along with numerous national and regional brands. Many of the fashion stores are geared to a younger clientele seeking trendy looks (versus the other nearby behemoths South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island).

Go! Enjoy!

Outdoor mall

Good for sunny day out, shaded parking structure, large, potentially a lot of walking.
Good restaurant choices.

great place

By Loreal |

great place to eat and shop or even just walk around for a nice day. can get very packed with parking so I suggest parking near target in the new structure.

Lackluster center

By JDC1977_USA |

We come here regularly for the movie theatre which is great. Also excellent valet parking right at the front and a good variety of food options. The rest of the center though is missing something-I can’t put my finger on it but the place is dead. I find myself walking through sort of aimlessly and even impulse shopping doesn’t happen here-maybe it’s the mix of shops or the layout with some dead ends and awkward corners but aside from the theatre, nothing here would make me come south of South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island.

Average outdoor mall

By Roejen A |

This place is nice to walk around or if you need to go to Nordstroms. There shops and resturant are mostly commercialized. Most of the time theres construction and parking can be difficult specially on weekends.

Nice place to entertain your guests

By Lanthu |

every time I have guests stay over, Irvine Spectrum is my favorite place to entertain them. It's nice place not only to shop and dine but also to relax. The mall recently expanded, it's huge with a lot of different retails and restaurants. You can find all kinds of activities here. Also, live music on Saturday and even some Sunday. I think a small ice rink around Christmas as well. I like Irvine Spectrum and enjoy the atmosphere here.

Wonderful outdoor Shopping in the junction of 405 and 5 freeway

Great all day getaway

By Sharkbaitbaby |

First visited this place when it was only a movie theater and a few restaurants n shops (10 yrs ago) now it’s huge with major brand stores! And they are still adding on and building . It’s become a major shopping hub with excellent restaurants and plenty of free parking . With a major Ferris wheel 🎡 and ice skating ⛸ during the winter. Fun for the whole family . A tour group could spend the whole day ! It’s either here or South Coast Plaza for me .

Parking and walking and enjoying 😊

Irvine spectrum is not a classic American malls type, many different shops including amazing restaurant options but the most important point is: you walk and enjoy, you feel like you are in Europe!

DEPENDS ON WHEN YOU WERE BORN

By aimskyhi2 |

If you are NOT of the MILLENNIUM GENERATION, I DON"T see much attraction to go visit this place. The shops cater to the MILLENNIAL GENERATION for which my definition of them is (the Millennial generation’s confidence has been argued to spill over into the realms of entitlement and narcissism.) OVER PRICED FOOD EATERIES, overrun by the young MILLENNIUM ADULTS, for which I have NO USE FOR just like they have for those of us born in the 1940's. Therefore I don't have a need to go there.

Retail therapy on steroids, restaurants galore

By TheOCIronMike |

The Spectrum Center is most popular in summer months when swarms of teenagers descend to eat, go to the movies and hang out. The rest of the year, there are more locals there, many to eat at the ever increasing number of restaurants. Retail tends to the teens and young adults, although there is a Nordstrom for higher end products and Target for the normal things. Lots of noise, color, and great people watching. Dress casual, dressing up here in a clean t shirt and shorts without rips.

Always a nice stop

By Misterfp |

Stopped in for a walk and the kids wanted to go on the Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel costs 5 dollars a ticket but it’s a nice ride with a view. Good way to bribe the kids into walking around the outdoor mall.
Been here several times and it seemed like a lot of Construction was going on but great selection of stores for an afternoon stroll.

Fantastic outdoor mall & restaurant selection

By Norma R |

Met friends for lunch at this outdoor mall. It's great to walk around in the sunshine, watching people & window shopping. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from...Asian, hamburgers, pizza, pasta, Mexican, etc. You could spend hours here!

Construction is done - big improvements

By Steve N |

We had avoided the Spectrum for the last year or so, partially because of the construction, but mostly because the kiosks they had in the walk-ways. They had aggressive sellers, peddling wares like we were in some foreign bazaar, and not the heart of a major metro outdoor mall. The kiosks really ruined the shopping experience.
Now that construction is done, and on last visit, not one kiosk to be seen, the Apple store is more easily accessed, and the whole mall feels more "walkable". The restaurant selection continues to be good, and the end closer to Target has some mid-priced options, and the end near the theater has a nice mix of excellent restaurants (Javier's, etc) as well as some mid-priced places. self-park or valet is available, but we only use valet at night now if we go for a later dinner.

Shopping and good eats...

For an outside Mall this is a very nice one. Lots of great stores and restaurants. It is very well kept and have not encountered any problems there.

Lots of food choices with the shopping

The quality (price points) of the stores here aren’t as high as the Fashion Island Mall, but they are still quite nice. The food selection at this mall is very good and it also has movie theaters in the same area as the food and shopping. The layout is very good and practical. I noticed a train for children that meanders through the space and a Ferris wheel too.

Check the Directory Map Before You Visit

Arrived at 1pm on a holiday. Parked in the structure near the movie theater. The lot tells you how many spaces are available on each floor, and green and red lights tell you where you can park. Found a space fairly quickly on the second level.

We ate lunch at one of the sit-down restaurants near the movie theater. While the restaurant was fine, I was also looking for a quick-service restaurant where I can order at the counter.

I recommend checking a directory of the shopping center before you visit, since there can be a lot of walking involved. The carousel and Ferris wheel are towards the back, near Target. The movie theater has the most sit-down restaurants.

Extraordinary Mall

I am not a mall person to say the least. That being said this is more than just an ordinary mall. It has really good dining options as well as fun things for kids to keep entertained. It boasts a Ferris wheel as well as fountains and light displays. It is set up as an outdoor attraction that you can spend an evening dining and taking a walk with family. Everyone liked it.
