A treasure

By auntcar |

Johnson orchards have been providing Yakima with fruit for over a hundred years. They carry every kind of fruit that is in season, either grown in their own orchards or carefully selected from other local growers (like when a hail storm devastated their peaches a few years ago) and it is absolutely the best fruit you can find. The family has also started a bakery with to die for pies, and Copper Pot caramels are seriously the best on the planet. Even Oprah thinks so! Climb the creaky wooden steps into the old warehouse, step back in time, breathe in the scents of ripe fruit and lavender gift products and you'll be bumping elbows with us locals who go to Johnson Orchards for a lovely break from modern life.

Freshest fruit out there!

By Linda O |

Just picked cherries, apples, peaches and even freshly made pies! Whatever fruit is in season, you can count on Johnson Orchards to have the best quality in town.

fruit for friends

By Stewart H |

arrived by 9 am and the place was open but quiet. The store is very clean and had a good assortment of apples. Found them a little pricey though. There was a lack of baked goods and am not sure if we just got there too early. The staff was very helpful

Great place to go for fresh fruit and goodies.

By busymiss |

Wonderful, friendly owners and workers. They treat you like family. Prices are reasonable and their fruit is good quality. Mr Johnson helped me figure out how many boxes of apples I needed for apple cider. He gave me a great deal on them too.

A must stop while in Yakima

By Shelly S |

We saw the Johnson's Orchard was the #1 attraction in Yakima so we headed over Saturday morning and were not disappointed. We were met by Eric Johnson, who was a joy to talk to. You can tell he loves life and growing all the different fruits he offers. We purchased peaches, nectarines, pears, grapes and corn. All were a fresh taste of summer. We also purchased some pear oatmeal cookies and berry bars that his daughter and her partner bake for the weekends. Eric said his daughters start baking pies, cookies and other goodies fives years ago. Both the cookies and berry bars were both very very tasty.
I'm so envious of the people who live here and get to enjoy the Johnson orchard's bounty of fruits and baked goods anytime they want.
So if you happen to be in Yakima, do yourself a favor and stop by this little piece of heaven. You won't be disappointed.

Great selection of fresh fruit and very friendly staff. Nice variety of pears and apples and staff that can recommend what you might need for baking a pie or just snacking.

Family owned Fruit

By Andrea B |

This is a perfect representation of a family farm...selling what they grow. Even homemade desserts. Rustic but cool and clean. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Excellent fruits!

By Pumpkin_Cupcakes |

Our B&B hosts mentioned that Johnson's Orchards a million times while we were there so we went before heading back. We're so glad that we did because the peaces, nectarines, tomatoes, jalapeños, and more were all super fresh! You could tell that they are going to stay like they should, not like the ones you usually get at grocery stores. The grapes were sweet and juicy, the gala apples were crisp and fragrant, and the peaches, well, we haven't tried that yet but we can't wait to! Definitely stop by - you can buy by box (better deal) or by the pound. Oh, the caramels are out of this world. It's $8/box so a bit pricey but definitely worth while. Even if you don't like caramel or avoid it because it usually sticks to your teeth, give this one a go. You may fall in love.

Great fruit!

By Angela_Wollongong |

We’ve been here twice in two days! Their cherries are the best I’ve ever tasted. Great in season produce. They had fresh baked cookies today (Wednesday) and have other baked goods from Thursday to Sunday. Their corn on the cob is also delicious. Very cheap prices. Don’t miss it if you’re in Yakima.

Orchard and pies!

By Crich70 |

Although we went after the harvest, it was still impressive. I appreciate the setting. Good assortment of apples, pears, potatoes and treats. Friendly staff.

Pies Pies Pies

By johnfure |

Absolute must for holidays.
Fruit Pies are my favorite.

During the summer, this is THE place for us to get our cherries. Great variety.

Donut peaches are amazing

By 2018CDN |

This is a sweet spot to take a few minutes’ break from your road trip and pick up some fresh fruit. The donut peaches were so good that we’re going back there tomorrow for more.

Best pie ever

By Larry H |

Not only promises to be best pie you ever had I also found every fruit bought was excellent Dont miss cherry season you might regret it

Awesome baked goods!

By Grammy2222 |

The cookies on Thursday are amazing, then move on to the phenomenal pies! Oh yeah, there's the fruit too. Wonderful!

Plan your visit for cherries in July!

By WASeattleTraveller |

Johnson's Orchards have some of the best cherries available. It is worth planning a visit in the late June/early July (depending on the growing conditions) for their cherries. Their other fruits are also good, but the cherries are legendary.

The place to go for fresh apples and pears

By DBinYak |

They stock fresh apples and pears with lots of varieties at less than grocery store prices, in either by the pound or by the box quantities. They also have some really delicious homemade pies available although then tend to run on the spendy side. They are however definitely an excellent pie and worth the splurge and you do get money back if you bring back the pie tin I believe. Its fun to drive up to a working old time warehouse in the middle of the orchard and pick up fruit directly from the farmer right in the middle of town. Its worth your stop.

Fruit stop

By Lynn F |

Good little family owned orcard from 1904. Great prices on fresh fruit also homemade pies and cookies. They have a pear oatmeal style cookie Do Not buy one !! Buy ALOT because otherwise you'll have to come back.

Over priced strange items

By butch60098 |

Tourist trap, overpriced items, go to a good fruit stand for much better pricing on apples and misilanious orchard items.i guess it's different enough to visit once.

Terrible and rude!

By Sophia F |

I can't believe how rude the staff is! There is a dark orange hair girl who seems very entitled and then the old man running around was short and curt. Just seemed disrespectful as an out of towner. I wish the fruit was better, could of got the same at the grocery store way cheaper. Big disappointment,

Cheery cherries!

By flygrls |

The variety of fresh cherries was fabulous! Bought several varieties and all were fresh and sweet. Tried to buy a pie but they were fresh out...get there early if you are counting on a pie!

Come in for fresh fruit and delicious pies

By Larry O |

When the fruit is fresh and being picked, you want to pick it up here. While you are inside selecting which cherries you want, there are people on the other side of the wall sorting so you have the freshest fruit possible. The price is fair, the fruit is fresh, what more could you want, did I hear you say pies. They have them, great pies again made from fresh ingredients, delicious.

Cute but......

By sologurl |

This place is a little tiny orchard in the middle of town. Very cute and well done with Pastries that are to die for. I personally thought it was a little over rated as a tourist stop, not much to see. But if you have a hankering for fresh pie this is probably the place to go.

Awesome pies!!

By dlreid6 |

Stop by for the fresh in season fruit, and don't forget to buy a made from scratch pie on the way out!!

Excellent Orchard

By EmC92 |

Love Johnsons, I've been coming here since I was 4 years old. They have always have fresh fruit that is already picked for you at amazing prices. They also have pies and sweet that are delightful as well! A Yakima staple for sure.

Overpriced!

By Jake C |

Overpriced and low quality. You can get better fruit at the grocery store. Not baked goods as advertised

Always a stop when we are in the area

By KeepTheMotorRunning |

We do not get to Yakima often but when we do, we make a point to stop at this orchard. The location is great & we have never been disappointed in anything we have purchased. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer questions.

Family fruit market - local fresh produce - delicious pies!!

By 220pat |

Hidden in an orchard in city limits - wonderful fresh produce and very nice people! Get there early for fantastic pies!

Good variety and quality produce

By Kelly S |

Visited this place as we were looking for fresh produce. Their prices were reasonable. They had good variety of produce in addition to other local goodies and baked good.

Love Local

By Alison B |

This family operation has deep roots in Yakima, and it shows. We were there on a Sunday morning, and locals were coming by to get their delicious looking pastries and fruit. It's the height of peach season and we can't wait to try our purchases.

boys had fun deciding which apple to choose from

By my2lil_munchkins |

i had heard this place was good, but it is GREAT. loved the customer service & helpful info. our boys had fun picking different apples to put into a big box & try the different varieties here. my boys lived on apples-----SO HUGE & DELICIOUS.....

Yakima's Best

By Miller076 |

Johnson's is my favorite place in Yakima to visit. Not only is their produde great, their customer service is the best I've seen. Everyone is always so friendly. And their baked goods are the absolute best!

Friendly and informative visit

By John G |

We were met with a warm welcome and provided informative information on the various fruits grown and distributed by the Johnson Orchards

Best Pie I’ve Ever Eaten. But Go Early before They’re Gone.

By David |

Stopped there on way from Seattle to Salt Lake City to buy local cherries to take to my daughter. They were fantastic. And so we’re the apricots and early peaches. But I discovered they also sold fresh baked pies. Bought a cherry pie and it was the best. My mother used to make great pies, but this exceeded hers! Also took a few pictures of cherries on trees. Didn’t know there were so many on a tree.

We decided to stop on way back. But, there were no cherries because that bizarre heatwave had killed them. (Thanks a lot, global climate change. That 110 degrees in Seattle also killed a few of my plants and extensively damaged a few others.) Also, we were late in the day and there was only one pie left.

Wonderful fruit and pies

By Darth V |

We really enjoyed the super fresh fruit! Apples, pears, and peaches are so delicious. The homemade pies are large and delicious. Definitely worth a trip here.

Terrific Fruit Stand!

By Chocohla |

I hate to admit that I had never been to Johnson Orchards until a few years ago. From the road, it doesn't look like much is going on down the little lane. Once you go back to the parking area and into the warehouse, it's a delight. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not only can you select in-season fruit, fresh off the trees, but the bakers in the nearby building make the BEST pies and treats. It really is a unique little business for our town.
The food that is available to eat is fresh fruit. This is NOT a restaurant. You can purchase pies to take home. It is located on the Summitview bus line.

Great orchard!

By curly |

Top orchard which is family run. It was too early in the season for fruit but the asparagus pastry was delicious. If we had been there later in the season, there would have been a wide variety of fruits to buy. The cherries were a few weeks away from being ready to be picked.

Valley bounty

By WTLarry |

Located on West side of town in the orchard among the trees, fabulous location. Lots of fresh fruit in season as well as fresh home made pies! Family owned and friendly. Prices are reasonable and fruit is GOOD.

Worth a day trip drive from Seattle

By Jeremy |

Love stopping in for a hand pie, local cider, and lavender products besides their seasonal selections of produce. We like to visit Yakima for weekend trips from Seattle. We make this our arrival treat every time. They have clean restrooms, a nice shop, and great fresh baked goods. It's our destination rest stop for our weekend getaways.

I don't think that's what this business set out to be, but for anyone living in Seattle, this is a great place to include on a day trip or weekend trip out of the city.

Trip to Yakima to reconnect with old friends.

By Alma M |

I knew while in Yakima, I couldn't go home without checking to see what fresh fruit was available. One of my friends recommended Johnson's Orchards and it wasn't fall from my motel. It is a great place! It is located in town but once you pull in and drive past the house you are surrounded by fruit trees. The store was well stocked with several early varieties of apples. I bought Honeycrisp, my favorite. They also had a choice of peaches. I choose O'Henry, The best peach I've had in years. They also sell baked goods. I treated my self to a chocolate chip cookie and a snickerdoodle. Both great.

Love Johnson's!

By Nancy H |

Wonderful and fresh fruits and vegetables, but their baked goods are the bomb! The Pear Crispy cookies are the best!

Note--NOT open on Sundays as stated

By Christina M |

Would have loved to visit, but after a fairly lengthy detour on a road trip found that they are NOT open on Sundays. Unfortunately had no cel service to be able to call ahead of time to check. Tried to submit hours open change information, but it didn't work.

Visit in summer for best fruit selection. Bakery also.

By Kerrie S |

We stop at this place every time we travel thru Yakima. This time we arrived before the fruit selection was huge, but we did get some beautiful pears. They also have a selection of outstanding bakery items and a variety of wines and custom soda pop. Use your NAV to find it. It's a couple of miles of US-12 on the outskirts of Yakima to the west. Visit in summer for best fruit selection. Good quality.

Oh my Gosh Great Homemade Pies

By deeharleygal |

We love their homemade pies, they have a great selection of fresh fruit, they also do homemade cookies and tarts as well as some great salted caramel, love it all.

Make a stop here for fruit AND MORE!

By Gina P |

In addition to great fruit, his place has pies, carmels, and other treats unlike anything you've ever had. It's easy to get to.

Buy local!

By bethharveson |

Seasonal apples, pears, peaches, apricots, blueberries, etc. as well as a great bakery on site that provides delicious baked goods weekly. In addtiion, other vendors sell local lavendar & honey, & copper pot carmels, and many other products!

Tantalizing Freshness

By iluvyak |

This is a delightful fruit store. If you have a cider press, you can buy a whole bin of mixed types of apples for just a little over a dime/pound. We empty the bin into fruit boxes and haul them in the back of the SUV. Also, we enjoy a variety of other fresh produce from soft fruits to pumpkins. And we cannot walk about without an apple cobbler or other sumptous treat.

Beautiful fruit!

By SeattleTraveler2014 |

After reading reviews, we decided to stop by Johnson's Orchards. I wasn't sure how to pick pears, and the helpful staff took time to educate me on how to determine when the fruit is ripe. They also told us about some unusual grapes that were fun to try.

Fresh fruit!!

By terrymarie |

I love to stop by Johnsons. In season, I can pick up the freshest apples, peaches and cherries! You may also be tempted by beautiful homemade pies or fresh caramels.

Excellent fruit, good goodies, nice people

By FEP8 |

The title says it all. It has become our "go to" place for fresh fruit. The in-season pears, apples, and peaches are consistently top quality.

Pick fruit right off the trees!

By Tanya H |

Cherry season is approaching...
Johnson's has you-pick and freshly picked cherries from late June until the end of July and apricots, plums, plots, nectarines, peaches all summer. Such wonderful people and a great location on the west side of Yakima. I stop by at least twice a week throughout the summer.

Great Fruit

By 500spencer |

In season they have great fruit. Their cherries are great and they have a variety of apples that are good for eating or making into pies or applesauce. They also have a selection of homemade pies and goodies to purchase. Great customer service and friendly staff.

Good prices!

By Shawn M |

My wife and I were able to purchase Honey Crisps for .59 cents a pound! Pretty awesome from someone who has to pay 3 Dollars or more!

Awesome pie

By Deby C |

Home grown fruit, pies and goodies!! Family owned businesses. Seasonal baking done right!!, easy west valley location!

Excellent Fresh Fruit & The BEST Caramels EVER

By ScubaEagle |

The fresh fruit is excellent and reasonably priced. If you like caramels, you must stop here. The have boxed caramels to eat and the best caramel sauce ever.

Watch for the sign, it looks like you are turning into a private residence, but you are not.

Some of the best fruit in the Valley

By Alvin S |

They pick the apples literally right outside of their business. Well, the business is in the orchard. They make wonderful pies.

Best fruit you can get in Yakima

By mitchkam1 |

This place has such a great selection of fruits, pies, and nuts. It is owned and operated by a guy we went to school with. We rarely run into him while shopping here, but that is only because he is out working hard in his orchards to bring the public the best of the best fruits.

CLOSED ON SUNDAY!

By Claudette B |

We went out of our way to visit only to find they are closed on Sunday's beginning in October. I had looked this place up on the internet before we drove out there and somehow I missed this bit of information. It was a disappointment to me. Hopefully next time we're in the area.

Great place to get a variety of apples

By findalexa |

Although my daughter has lived her for a couple of years, she never came here until I stayed with her while I was expecting my first grandchild (she had a girl). The apples are great, and they have different grades and prices based on either eating or canning/cooking. Must admit the variety of apples is great and they are very good apples. The store is a little hard to find. It's just east of the Safeway on Summitville via a driveway. There are only a few parking places. This is not a place where you spend a lot of time, just get the apples and leave. The only thing that I would avoid is the homemade pies. They are quite expensive. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but unless you were having someone very special over, I wouldn't bother.
I think they also have summer fruits like cherries.

Cute little orchard

By Rick C |

We thought this was a nice little orchard. We didn't have time to pick our own, but the prices were not bad - cheaper and better quality fruit than we saw at a lot of highway-side stands leaving town.

Wondearful local treat!

By callista12 |

Johnsons orchards has home grown and locally grown fruits. The people there are very nice and friendly. And the baked items they make there are heavenly!! A great stop while in Yakima!

Great place

By Rebecca M |

I went here for the first time to get apples to make applesauce. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly even when it was close to closing time.

Great Family Farm & Stand

By JoRSeattle |

Picked up cherries this past weekend that had just come off the tree! YUM!!

Best fruit pies in Yakima!

By michael8262016 |

Buying fresh fruit and desserts is always fun at Johnson's Orchard. All the pies, bars, and cookies are tasty; however, the pies are the best I have purchased in Yakima! I have never been disappointed with any purchase.

Best produce in Yakima

By nathanh772 |

We visit Johnson's Orchards regularly and have enjoyed the variety and fresh apples. Why buy transported apples when you can have the freshest produce right here in town?

Johnson orchards

By TomOxf |

A family owned buisness that specializes in fresh fruitsin season. They have organic fruit also. They have many different varieties of each fruit they carry, whether it is apples, pears, cherries, apricots or peaches. Cost is very competitive. They are very inconveniently locked in the city.

A Hidden Gem

By Pamela W |

This sweet little orchard may not be big in space but it is big in personality and has the best fresh pies ever, a little pricey but really good and always made from whatever is fresh. If you are looking for a huge variety this is not the place to go but if you want an excellent neighborhood fruit stand this is it.

Best Fruit Orchard

By StevesPlace |

This orchard has high quality fruit at a reasonable price and the staff is always helpful. I have friends from out of town that look forward to receiving fruit from this orchard.

Even in April They Had Apples & Pears

By Susan H |

Fun little place with more than just fruit. They also sell meat and baked goods. The cookies were delicious! I would love to return during cherry season. The place is surrounded by cherry trees and they we beginning to bloom! The even offer u-pick cherries when in season. This farm has been owned and operated by the family since 1904.

Great Local Fruit and Vegetables

By EdS |

They always seem to have the best selection of local fruit and vegetables that are in season. We have never been disappointed. They always seem to have fresh coked pies available as well. We stop by whenever we are near by.

Great produce, baked goods and a really friendly staff!

By Cherie W |

The produce from Johnson's Orchards is always top notch and they have very effectively boxed fruit up for me to ship out as well. The fruit I sent my daughter in college was always a favorite of her friends since their apples were far superior to the ones that are for sale in Colorado. Their baked goods are fresh and delicious and the staff are very good at helping you find things. It's always a very pleasant experience to shop there!

Quaint historic family orchard

By Arleta D |

Close in town and very easy to get to. We enjoyed the interesting history with some original antique decor. Of course the apples were delicious as were the smooth caramels!

Jackpot!

By Amanda B |

Great setup here! Lots of fresh fruit, veggies, baked goods, and home made bath/beauty products. We got a huge sack full, plus a few amazing cookies, and were shocked it was only $13! We didn't get to pick fruit because nothing was available, but we were able to stroll through the orchard and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered all of our questions. This is a definite weekly trip for us.

Farm freshness

By Brandy G |

Farm fresh produce, locally grown. Best place to buy cherries! They also make fresh pies every week and take special orders. plus they have Copper Pot Carmels!!! The best carmels and carmel sauce ever!! They carry a few gift items as well like wine!

Super place to get super fruits

By Nlper |

The people there are helpful and are extremely knowledgeable. They can offer suggestions about what apples to use for pies, apple sauce, etc. Pies are full of flavor. Definitely a place to go for apples, peaches, etc. plus homemade pies, etc.

Family-run

By EaglesHonour |

They bake pies that are dietary icons at special occasions. Especially recommend the fruit pies. You need to reserve pies around the holidays.

Wonderful fresh fruit and very friendly and helpful staff.

By lizb603 |

Stop here during summer and fall season for GREAT fresh fruit and some veges. Got some peaches the other day that were the best I think we have ever had (we used to have a peach orchard and these were better than any of ours). Mr. Johnson happed to be where I was and he recommend them - he was RIGHT !! I got several other items and there wasn't a bad product. I usually go 2 or 3 times a week, so I can get FRESH items. What they don't grow themselves, they buy locally and just as good. Of course, don't forget the pies, etc. on the weekends.

Generations of great Johnson produce!

By Jane S |

Johnson Orchards is the real thing! Located within their orchards, multiple varieties of fruit, great customer service, at least the 3rd generation since I've known them.
Prices slightly higher than Farmer's Market, but quality is top notch!

Try a fresh fruit pie! Remember them for shipped fruit - Christmas?

I live in Yakima and visit Johnson Orchards frequently.

Still A Great Experience

By 59Alfreda |

I had not stopped by in years but was not surprised to find that customer service is still awesome. The peaches were being harvested and I've seen none here in town that compared to these. They had a bin of peaches that had been dropped during their harvest (you could not see any bruising yet) that were excellent for cobblers and pies. Apples were just getting started the day I was there. I will definitely be going back to get my Christmas apples in the mail. Staff was friendly and all so helpful.

Best fruit stand in Yakima

By Richard L |

We stopped by the past two summers for the freshest fruit (cherries and peaches) we can get. Always high quality like it was fresh picked every morning.

Great Family Fun

By Dabarton |

Great place to pick Bing and Ranier cherries. Trees are (were) loaded with fruit that is accessible to children. Prices are low and you can drive right to the trees. Perfect as a family activity. Recommended.

Amazing Place

By saria54germano |

Right in the heart of Yakima! The sign says they've been there, same family, same location, since 1904. Their fruit is not to be missed!

Great deals on tasty fruit

By zeva |

Orchard bed and breakfast referred us to this place and we bought lots of food to take to our friends and family. It was a good deal and very yummy.

Great Cherries... no RV parking

By LjC |

Best cherries I've ever had! There is no parking for RV's. We had a very difficult time turning around.

Fruit stock up

By NDSUBisonfan |

I’m fairly new to Yakima and heard so much about Johnson’s orchards. I went there and was amazed by the selection of apples and other fruit including peaches and cherries. I bought several varieties and they were all good. High quality and delicious! I also bought sweet corn which was great and reminded me of the same quality I would get back in Minnesota. As long as the fruit is in season I will continue coming here.

Farm fresh fruits

By Ardith C |

Enjoy supporting a local business. The fresh fruits are local and delicious. We make a point to stop in to get what is on season. Do yourself a favor and spring for one of the pies. They are absolutely delicious!

Johnsons Orchard

By James M |

If you want premium fruit of all kinds, Johnsons Orchards is the place to go. You can find cheaper prices other places but no other place has any better quality. Cherries, apples, peaches, etc. Home made baked goods also.

Best pie in town

By Kim W |

We have an apple orchard already but love stopping in for fresh pies on Friday. Good place to pick up fruit also. Recommended

Safe place to visit.

Best fruit and pies

By S P |

Best place in the Yakima Valley...the best pie in the world; fresh fruit; nice staff. My favorite is triple berry pie.

A little disappointing

By alison d |

I had read the trip advisor reviews about the orchard and was looking forward to it. There was a somewhat limited supply of fruits to purchase. The cherries were amazing, but the other apricot hybrids did not appear to be ripe enough. The place is small and in a kind of difficult to get to location.

Just a couple of minutes off the interstate

By Pat R |

Take a brake and stop in for great cherries, peaches, apricots and fresh bake goods. A fun stop for kids. Check out the old farm implements . The fruit is delicious. Staff is friendly.

Love this place. Went back twice

By Michael M |

Super friendly staff and some of the best tasting fruit I've ever eaten. Make sure and try some of their pastries as well. The blueberry muffin was great, bursting with blueberries and not too sweet. We also absolutely loved the blueberry apricot mini pie. Reasonable prices. Visited and loved everything so much we went back again the next day.

Nice little place

By L H |

Cool old building with fresh fruit from the surrounding orchards (as well as some wines and sweets), or you can pick your own. Very good peaches. Nice staff. Small parking lot. Narrow driveway, not readily visible from the road, but there is a sign.

Fun little local shop right in there orchard

By renleeah |

Apples, pies, cider, just fun to be there but great products too. Love that it's surrounded by the orchard.

The pies here are the best!

By Betty B |

There is always something great and delicious to pick up here. This is my first stop in town before I get fruit anywhere else. I love to make pies, but the crust on these pies is stellar. There is more fruit in them, which is amazing! There are even personal size pies! Great for a single serving! In season, one is able to pick their own fruit. A fun thing to do with children....

Fresh, fresh fruit straight from the orchard!

By Laura J |

So much good fruit! I'm not much of a healthy eater, and it was difficult for me to walk by all the good stuff! It looks fresh, it tastes fresh, it's the way fruit should be purchased!

Love this place.

By shurl8990 |

They have the freshest fruits and and vegetables and the carmels and baked goods are to die for. This is my favorite place to shop in Yakima.

Lovely people high quality products at fair prices

By QDGMA |

You can't ask for a better run facility. The folks are great and happy to help with any questions. The produce is superior and the baked goods surpass superior.

Delicious Tree Ripened Fruit!

By Marcia G |

This was a wonderful and most memorable stop on our summer road trip. We were too late for cherries, but there was a wide variety of peaches and plums.....so delicious! The fresh baked cookies just yummy! We also had the pressure of meeting and chatting with the friendly farmer who now runs the farm that's been in the family for over a hundred years. What a delightful slice of America!

Beautiful local fruit

By mcksh |

Johnson's is THE place to go west of the downtown core for fruit. Family run with an excellent selection of whatever is currently ripe. Some u-pick as well. The are expensive, but terrific!

Getting too expensive for our budget

By Kerrie S |

We stop at the orchard whenever we are in Yakima. The last few times we've visited it seems that the prices are going through the roof. Probably won't go back, but it is a good place to visit and has quality stuff.

Stop at this place - You'll love it.

By Kerrie S |

We visited this place on our trip east, and then on our return. I saw it on the internet and the reviews were great - and true. Wonderful fruit - combo apricot/plum fruit was outstanding, and the peaches were the size of softballs and delicious. We got fruit drinks, fruit and fresh turnovers and ate in the orchard on a picnic table.

It's not a large place, but it's a terrific place to stop before you head up over the mountains.

There was a steady stream of visitors in and out while we were there both times. I thinks it's locally popular for outstanding fruit and baked goods.

Fruit Stand

By rustk |

Cute little fruit stand in the middle of an orchard, fresh fruit and baked goods, definitely worth a stop in.

Fresh fruits

By Tom H |

We've been going to Johnson Orchards for years now. Located in the middle of an orchard in a residential part of the city is pretty cool! The have fresh fruit and many specialty fruits such as Apriums! They are DELISH!!!

Great place to get local Fruit!!

By YakimaDave |

Lots of good local fruit, family owned and knowledgeable staff. iIlike the #2 table, some times has the most ripe fruit because they are trying to sell it fast, usually about $0.39 per pound.

this place is great. they only sell what is in season and are very helpful. the fruit we bought was outstanding. we wanted some advice on pears and the owner went out of his way and picked us some right of the tree for us. I always look forward to going to Johnsons Orchards for fantastic fruit. there pies are out of this world as well

Hidden Gem!

This is an absolute must shop local orchard store and bakery. The baked goods are outstanding. We have had the peach pie and the pear/oatmeal cookies. OMG! The produce is from their orchard and from local growers in season. Take your visiting friends and family there. Located just to the west of 48th ave on the south side of Summitview Ave.

Local fruit and pies!

Nice place to get in and out quickly if you want to get local fruit or homemade pies. They have limited hours, so check before you go to make sure they are open. Friendly and quaint...a great place for a rest on the porch for pictures before you continue your trip!

This is the place to go for local, bakery treats, fresh, seasonal fruit, and the best pies around! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, patient and ready to help. Will definitely be back!

Upscale local and artisan mercantile

By Kitten B |

We try to visit this place a couple time per year, during the harvesting season. The flavor of the fruit is spot on! The mercantile is family owned and operated for many generations, and they keep it authentic and rustic. Their fresh baked items are ever changing with the season, so you will always get local artisan flavors they grew themselves, fresh, straight from the farm to table. Their cookies are amazing. They also stock local artisan made goods; candles, canned goods, fresh cut flowers, and crafts. The prices are reasonable and fair considering the freshness, and authenticity of what they offer. I highly recommend a visit to this well run, family farm.
