We went, we saw.
I have never been a huge NASCAR fan, but we won a pair of tickets plus the FanWalk so we went. Parking is apparently always difficult, but we arrived early and left early so no problem. The people working the event were all incredibly sweet and helpful. The FanWalk was, true to its name, a long walk, but it was fun to watch them check the cars up close and personal. I wish we'd known how many more things they would do there in the hour before the race.
There is a shuttle to the casino and the two stops (Turns 1 and 4) and we took it back, stopping by the casino. That was a nice stop for air conditioning, and you can see the track from the buffet, but the casino has way too much second hand smoke for my taste, and the buffet was disappointing.
Prices on vendor items weren't as inflated as I had been warned. Beer was $8, cocktails were $8.50. Hot dogs and pizza and funnel cakes and all sorts of other items are available on the main level for $5 to $10. All expensive but not terribly so. Plus there's nice guys and gals in white who run up and down the stairs taking and delivering orders.
We brought way too much. Soft sided coolers are permitted, as are drinks in anything except glass. I recommend an insulated backpack, due to the long walks.
Race is loud, so take earplugs. It's hard to tell what the announcer is saying through the earplugs, though. You can rent a couple of scanner earphone sets for about $60, I think, but we didn't try.
Don't go to the bathrooms on the main level during the break between the stages, or else you'll be in a long line.
Bring a sweater. The seats get chilly once the sun goes down and the wind doesn't. That was our biggest problem. And if you have allergies, take extra meds, as my biggest surprise was the amount of exhaust fumes I got into my sinuses and eyes.
Facilities are terrific. Very clean throughout. Paint is new looking. Elevators at either end work well and smoothly in a very non-terrifying manner. Seats are for narrow butts, but they're comfy enough with plenty of leg room and sufficient pitch that there's not a bad seat anywhere.
Not a big NASCAR fan in the first place, and the indescribable level of noise during the race is a turn-off for me. But for someone who enjoys it, the Kansas Speedway facilities and people are awesome.

Currently running two NASCAR Sprint Cup races a year, one NASCAR truck race, and one NASCAR Xfinity race. Also an ARCA race in the fall on the NASCAR weekend. Occasionally other races or events, too, but we've only attended the main race weekends.
Been a season-ticket holder here since the place opened. Don't think there's a bad seat in the house, and the racing on the 1.5-mile track usually is good. Best thing of all may be the road access and the parking . . . most days we can get out of the lot . . . including the time to get to the car . . . in less than 30 minutes. Only once (in perhaps 30 visits) has traffic out been a problem, and I think that was because we were directed incorrectly.
Concessions are usually pretty good . . . mostly run by non-profit groups . . . and lines aren't too bad. Food is decent, but nothing for dieters.
The crowds are well-behaved and the seats are wide enough for all but the most jumbo.
Now possible to buy tickets to single events. Wide range of prices.

First off, if you're new to NASCAR, bring hearing protection... seriously. Also, if your not coming with someone who's familiar with the sport consider renting a headset or two to listen to the radio chatter; it makes things much more interesting.
I'd recommend eating prior to arrival. Also be advised that smokers are everywhere under the stadium. Hated that.
It's an expensive sport, but worth trying at least once. Plan on arriving 30-45 minutes early, eat elsewhere, rent headsets online for discount.

Gone there a few times to watch NASCAR and a concert loads of fun and you can bring in a small cooler of beer. In a great location by Legends and plenty to do afterwards

We went to the American Royal BBQ competition at Kansas Speedway today. This is a very nice facility for the World Series of BBQ. Lots of parking. The competitors were in the pit area. There was live music, carnival rides, lots of BBQ and more. We'll be back

Took hubby for his birthday. He loves NASCAR. We got to go thru the pits and garages. We were in a comp Suite. Was a wonderful time. Can wait to go again.

Kansas Speedway is a nice race track and full of fun for the race fans. I have been attending races there since 2009 and would have gone sooner if I only knew about the total experience. This is one of the very few sporting events that allows you to take food and drink inside. There is a size limit on coolers and they must be soft sided, but that is a very nice perk. I enjoy visiting the exhibits outside the main entrance, always something of interest for everybody. Plenty of items from your favorite driver to purchase too. Did I mention paerking is free. They have an ARCA race in October and time trials for the Sprint Cup drivers. You get an entire day and evening of entertainment for as little as ten bucks. I try not to miss that one.

I liked the Kansas Speedway because it's driving distance from where I live and don't have to fly to see some great racing.

Open today!!
!#21 Ryan Blaney on pole!!!
Let's go racin' boys!! 1 1/2 mile track under the lights 267 laps!!!

This is a great place to watch the NASCAR truck and car races. You can bring your own drinks in, and great views from all areas around the track. Bring your motor home and go in early to hear a free concert and go down on the track. Friendly spectators who love to spend the weekend tailgIting.

If it has rained before you are going to the the Kansas Speedway beware that the parking lot is not paved. This last race that we went to it had rained and the parking lot was all mud. Cars were getting stuck in the mud everywhere! And my shoes were soaking wet/muddy before I even got to the ticket check in. Our 4 wheel drive SUV almost didn't make it out of the mud and I felt bad for all of the cars that were truly stuck in the mud. Now as far as the facility goes it is great! There are restrooms and dining options every few feet! There are even seat options where you have a table in front of your seat for the race!

we went to the nascar races in kansas for the first time, and it was awsome..we went early and traffic got heavy real faast but it was controlled so it moved alright the parking was simple and easy they had plenty of staff to park. they allow coolers with beer and food in that was fantastic... plenty of food court available,, beer was like seven dollars we thouht we had bad seats but turned out there really isnt any..we enjoyed a great race and leaving was just as orderly, and went faster than expected with all the people that was there .we are going next year def........

We have been to several NASCAR races here but truly enjoy the access and amazingly swift traffic departing the event. There are enough directions for people to go we did not have to wait long to get on the road. the venue is easy to get around in and there are plenty of everything a NASCAR fan wants.

Excellent care and feeding for three races. Suites are very accommodating and provided good food. Great view from the suites!

Three day business event. All facilities we were in were always clean. Impressed. Ride along driving experience was well organized & well run. Awesome.

Both our teen boys did the Nascar experience and the people that put it on were excited for them and helpful and friendly. Amazing facility to experience. Wasn't sure they got the full 5 laps they were supposed to get, but I think they did - they had fun, that's what mattered. They both have a new respect for Nascar drivers!

From the NASCAR races to different 5K events at the location we always have a good time at the speedway

While in KC my cousins treated me to a tour of the Speedway. We had a small group, 4 of us and another young couple. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun!!! The track was fun, they included garage, media center, winner's circle, stands and executive suite. It was a special day, season tickets holders were allowed to drive their own cars on track for a few laps.
The only complaint I had was no souvenir shop or stand was open. My husband wanted me to bring him home a hat from there. We were told Hollywood casino might have one but they were out, didn't find any at Legends Outlet either.

Security is better than it was. Nice place, easy to get around, plenty of parking, even good shopping very close by. Nice track, worth the visit.

This is literally the Mecca for rednecks. If you want to experience trash on such a large scale, just go to the landfill.

Very nice facility, puts on good racing. Wish they had a garage like LVMS does, but it is a nice facility and good to have a casino nearby.

Good view of track from multiple locations. Glad to be able to bring in own beverage now. The pit crew area and all their trailers was awesome.

We have bought season tickets for several years. This year we saw a couple that evidently security let pass through with a cooler that was almost double the size allowed. It was filled with beer and the couple was most definitely drunk before leaving. Plus it was so large that people in their row had to climb over the large cooler because there was no way that it was fitting under their seats...in fact they pushed it out of their way into the front of the seat next to them. It was a definite safety concern. We have always enjoyed the races but when there are people that are drunk and standing in front of people who paid good money for "seats" it made for a very annoying time. Never saw any security people walking past our area as their cooler couldn't be missed. We had been considering dropping our 3 season tickets because of costs and this past weekends race made that decision even easier as we won't miss how some people get by with crap no matter how bad it makes it for those around them.

Security everywhere, which isn't a bad thing. But everywhere you turn, theres someone trying to tell you where to go, what to do, what you can and can't do, etc.
If they were friendly, maybe....but these guys and girls aren't. Love the facility, love the racing, just could do with a little less "order taking."

My wife and I attended the race on 4/22/12. We got to the parking area about 11:15 AM and had a 1/2 to 3/4 mile hike to the track (Tip 1: Go early). The day was cold due to the gusting wind and overcast sky. Two days before, the forecast was for sunny and 72 degrees. (Tip 2: Bring a nylon-shell jacket or windshirt for the Spring or Fall race). Plan to bring a blanket or pad as the aluminum benches get to your posterior after a time. Also, the bench will suck the heat out of you on a cold day.Take as nice of a camera as you can. Buy some disposable earplugs. Pack a sort-sided cooler with drinks, sandwiches and snacks. Plan to visit the displays, etc. outside of the stadium before the race. There are plenty of restrooms for the crowd. This is a family friendly environment. A program is $12. A rental of a track scan radio set with 2 headphone sets will run you $55 for an entire weekend. Watch for the military jet flyover.

We attended the October Nascar race. Having experience at better than a dozen tracks we purchased preferred parking. Fourth row in "preferred " parking resulted in a 1.28 mile walk to the gate. No transportation, no help. For the older fan this is unacceptable. My wife and I are not disabled but at seasoned citizen age we certainly aren't impressed. We won't be back.

Kansas Speedway is an awesome facility!! Even though there are a lot of people its stays really clean! Awesome place! The prices of things are extremely high but thats expected with a place like this!

We attended the NASCAR race and it was awesome. Lots of fun and was able to walk down on the track and listen to the live ban playing on the infield prior to the race. We had a blast watching the race and cheering on the racers.

I haven't been to the track since they changed the banking but it was a lot of fun the 4 years I've been there. My favorite part is the other fans. I met people from all over the U.S. and even Canada. I haven't ever met a friendlier group of people and I will returning this fall to to another nationwide/sprint weekend and check out the new track! :) It is worth the expense and driving time. I figured out on my last stay that there is a CLOSE hotel that will drop you right off at the ticket gates and save you the huffing and puffing of a long walk, AWESOME! The track did have golf carts/gators picking people up from the parking area if you could catch one. Get there EARLY if you have track passes, we had them every year and did not once catch a driver doing autographs. We thought 9 a.m. was early enough but maybe not (?). That was the only disappointing aspect for me (but it was VERY disappointing), especially when you can watch them walk right by. I wonder if they even actually do autographs. Overall, a great time though!

I have visited this race track a couple of times for NASCAR events and it is a great facility. The inside garage and pit area are nice and open for teams and visitors.

Nice facility, friendly, easy to get around. Easy to park and walk around, and profile exciting racing.

Need more, better places to get food & drink. There were just 2 places to choose, not a variety, need more vendors, food there was not good

Good seating and viewing. It would be nice if they could open up the center pit stops for visitation before the races to view and take pictures with drivers.

If you never been to a NASCAR event, I highly recommend it! Great time!! After attending the NASCAR event you can hit up Hollywood Casino right on turn 2 of the Kansas Speedway!!

For the price of tickets, it was a wonderful time. Fanwalk was very diappointing. It is NOT what it looks like at some of the tracks on TV. No access to the back of garages. Amentities were great. Soda and beer were a tad expensive, but they have to pay the bills.

We have been season passholders since this track opened. It's a great entertainment venue with easy in/out access and free parking. Come to Kansas City, Kansas and enjoy the races!

I've been to the race track twice. Both times tickets were given to me. I had seats on the front row and it is LOUD! Make sure you take ear protection and a hat. Sitting that close you get little black beads of the rubber from the tires on you. And when you see these cars in person...THEY ARE FAST! I seen the NASCAR and the Indy cars here. The Indy cars were going over 200 mph! They zip by so fast. I had a great time. Lots of fun! Some people probably don't get it, watching cars go around in a circle, but it's racing folks, RACING! And when they wreck it's makes a LOT OF NOISE! It's fun!

Been to this track 2 years in a row, and definitely will be back! The food and drinks are somewhat expensive but the experience is well worth it!

We went to the NASCAR race in May. If you are a wheelchair user, be prepared for hassle. Parking guards asked for State issued laminated card (besides my license), that I swear I never received, which would be used to verify my handicap parking placard belonged to me. Although this is a good way to ensure people aren't borrowing someone else's placard, I have never been asked for this other laminated card - ever - and I've been driving for 15 years. I was allowed to park in accessible parking once the guard saw my wheelchair. Be prepared to be hot during pre-race activities. All pre-race activities are in a few huge parking lots with little to no cover. The only covered spaces are in activity tents or shopping tents which are crowded so you can't hang out and kill time till the gates open. There were no water misting machines available and we were charged $4 for just ice. We purchased tickets online weeks before the race and called to confirm they are wheelchair accessible seats. When we arrived, we found out they weren't and we had to be re-assigned. There is quite a distance from our seats back to the ticket booth and back to our seats. The restrooms are a ways away from seating as well. Although I could see the entire track from our seats, I found it to be less interesting than watching on TV. We rented headsets. Be aware that there are 2 headsets and 1 receiver in each pack so you have to listen to the same channel, but if you don't mind that, there's no reason to purchase another pack. This was not disclosed before we rented our pack so when we arrived, we picked up our 2 packs and later realized we could have only rented 1 pack so we returned 1 pack. Also, be prepared for mass chaos when you leave. It's basically a free for all towards the exit with guards trying to keep people in lanes, but some lanes that are designated enter only were used after the race for exiting vehicles. We found this confusing and frustrating when lanes were merging but there were no signs stating so.
I wrote the speedway about my concerns and still haven't heard anything back from them and it's been a month now.

Great parking and good seating are a must at a Speedway, This place has it all. It is also easy to get to from any place in the city since it is just off I-435.

Go have fun - make sure you get the head sets with the radio stations for the drivers that it totally worth it. Do not plan on talking to your nieghbor when racing is in full action the noise level is louder than standing next to an F-16 engine at full blast. I was amazed at how loud it was. Bring your own or by it there options. had nice seats and can't wait for the casion to open (Feb) and the restaurants that will overlook turn 2. Shopping at the Legends is right next door as is an abundance of restaurants.

We have been coming to Kansas Speedway since it opened in 2001. Love this place wonderful time. Must Try.

We have been coming to this nascar race about 4 years. The race is always exciting and this one was no exception. Did notice not as many port a potties outside this year. The ones they did have were out of paper, dirty and out of sanitizer. The bathrooms in the track were out of paper towels most of the time. I would think they would take better care of their fans being there is a decrease in nascar attendance. Of course we will go again but hopefully these issues will be resolved the next time we go.

The parking is not good if it rains like it did for the October race... But free and the walk is not ridiculous. You can see the whole track, the seats are all good, the facilities are good and clean. Nothing to wow you. Love the no smoking in the seats. Really could use some bigger TV's because the ones they have are useless.

I would probably not have attended NASCAR but I was given a ticket and a parking pass. I did rent a headset so I could listen to the drivers talk to the pit crew. Without the headset, it was just cars going around in a circle. I did eat a pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings and it was delicious. I can say I have been to NASCAR but I am not sure I would go again.

Went to the NASCAR car race in May. It was a great place to watch racing. The grand stands and seats are really good, all the services are really close and it was easy to get in and out. Really enjoyed the whole thing.

My wife and I have attended NASCAR races at most all the Cup tracks - Kansas was one of the few we hadn't been to yet (Chicagoland, Kentucky, Pocono, New Hampshire, Watkins Glen and Sonoma are left).
We were very impressed with the overall facility. Very good sight lines in the stands. Very clean. Concession stands were abundant and well laid out. Restrooms were plentiful and clean.
Access in and out was the easiest we've ever had at any Cup track - but then I make it a practice to do the opposite of what most people do. While most folks probably were staying in or near the KC metropolitan area - we stayed in the opposite direction. Which means the 20 minute drive to the track resulted in a 32 minute drive back (from the time I put the key in the ignition) - and we did stay to the end of the race.
And it was a great race! Anytime you can have Kyle Busch wreck in front of you 3 times - and you catch each one with your camera - it's a great day!

Overall a good NASCAR experience. The Richmond campground where we stayed had showers which were well maintained. Wood and ice were sold and delivered. An expensive traveling sanitation company drove by for sanitation clean outs. I thought they would have a dump station on the premise so didn't use the service. Come departure morning, no dump station or service nearby. While we met some nice people and enjoyed goofing off at the track and casino right there at the track, I'm not sure I will return to the Kansas Speedway.

We have an advantage living locally and being able to arrive an hour prior to the drivers introductions. That being said, without a preferred parking pass or an ADA sticker you are going to walk along way to get to the entrance. Because of the problems we anticipated of getting out of the parking lot in the mud we left at the rain delay. And again, because we are local we watched the rest on TV.
Except for the parking problem the overall race experience was good. For first timers be sure to rent/bring scanners or bring earplugs. Without scanners you will be lost and it is just cars running around in a circle.
When it began raining most everyone headed down to the eating area under the seats. So that means there was a back-up at the restrooms. But honestly, it wasn't bad compared to other venues. All and all, it is a 2 thumbs up.

Only complaint is paid for parking to be closer to the track due to our late flight arrival but ended up walking farther than we have at other tracks without paying. Feel like we could have parked just as close without paying the extra money. Other than that great experience, this is our 6th track we visited and it compares with the top tracks.

Fast Track, lots of action. I'm a huge Nascar fan, this area is great, so much to do at and around the track.

I took my 2 elementary aged boys to a Friday night race. They got the excitement of the track experience without the cost of a headliner race. We brought earplugs for the boys, which they used. It was an enjoyable experience!
Be careful, the parking "lot" is a field and gets very muddy in the rain. You could get stuck!

I have been to several events at Kansas Speedway. You can see the whole track from most seats. I like short track racing better. Kansas Speedway is better than other intermediate tracks to watch races.

We were most recently here for the Spring race. We usually attend both the Spring and Fall races. We really like the Kansas Speedway as it is easy to find and get into, while leaving is easy be prepared to wait. On our most recent visit here we did have one issue (well not just us, everyone) the parking area is grass and it rained (the race had a rain delay) and when people went to leave it was very easy for vehicles to get stuck, especially those that were not in trucks or some types of SUVs. We happened to be in an SUV and had no issues, but the wait to get out was longer because people in small cars & other vehicles were getting stuck. Overall a wonderful experience and we highly suggest going.

Good time. And fast racing. 190+ mph. Prices on food and beer not bad. What do you expect. Nice weather most days I would recommend for someone who loves racing or wants a thrill.

What can I say, it's a boring cookie cutter track but the venue is nice. It's clean and well organized. Unlike some of the tracks on the NASCAR circuit, there are a lot of nice things to do and places to eat in the immediate area.

Fan friendly...free parking....extremely easy access to/from the interstates!
Plenty to do (dine/drink//shop) next door at the Legends or check out the new on-site Hollywood Casino. Also nearby: Community America Ballpark and the world class Livestrong Sporting (soccer/concerts) Park.

We have been ticket holders since day 1 and the place is still great. Two race weekends a year, and they go out of their way to make sure the FANS have a great time. With the smaller crowds, there is less waiting for parking, food, and bathrooms. The concessions have great choices of food and drinks. And of course there are trailers and booths inside selling t-shirts, hats and other track and driver gear.
If you come to a race, come early and walk around the trailers, and fan zone, it is really a good time.
The General Parking is a field, and when it rains, it does get muddy. Be prepared for it if you come and you will have no problems. Rained this Saturday night, and everyone was able to get parked and out without many problems. The track has people who will assist if it gets too bad.

I really enjoyed the NASCAR race at this track. It appeared to be a challenging track, making the racing quite interesting. Good sight lines from the stands, even though it is a 1.5 mile track. They did a good job of the variable banking in the corners, and I could see drivers taking different lines and approaches, making the racing strategies quite interesting.

With only 7 racetracks left of my Bucket list" of the NASCAR circuit, I had to ask myself "why did I wait so long to come here?" Arrive early to get a good parking spot; parking was not like other tracks where General Parking is much closer to the entrance & midway. Saw 2 drivers being interviewed (1 of these guys won the race!) which was exciting! Very clean for such a large facility.

We took in the NASCAR truck and Sprint night races last weekend. Getting in and out was surprisingly easy ... it helps that there are two interstates that give access to the track. We sat outside on Friday night, and would caution anyone who opts to sit beneath the two towers housing the suites that your view may be partially obstructed above row 55 by the large metal posts that support the towers. On Saturday night, we were in one of the suites, and here as well the beams can obstruct the view. We could not see any of the action in turn one, although our view of the rest of the track was outstanding. The races themselves were competitive and exciting. You can bring a soft-sided cooler in with you, as well as a back pack with food, binoculars, ear plugs, etc. For families, this means that you can save a lot of money by avoiding the food concession stands, where food and drink are not cheap.

Drove 12 hours from home to see a Nascar sprint cup race and the Craftsman truck series in Kansas city. Absolutely fantastic. From the Saturday, Truck race, cup practice and all the trailers with merchandise, and then Sunday with the Cup race, and again all the trailers and spotted some famous drivers. So much fun. A big kudos to the State Patrol men and women who direct the traffic and made an uneventful, smooth drive into the parking and out of the parking. Absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back for the October races, or even looking at next year already. Wicked Awesome!!!!!

With four major races, over two weekends, one in the spring and one in the fall, this is a great place to watch NASCAR races. With free parking and dozens of vendors to enjoy, it is an Event Venue worthy of your time. With The Legends, a world class outlet, outdoor mall, Bass Pro Shop (Formerly Cabelas), SPorting KC Park (An excellent Soccer Venue), The Hollywood Casino (on Turn 2), A water park with an amazing lazy river (with waves) there is much to do when you are not watching the worlds best racers circle the 1.5 Mile track at speeds north of 200 Miles per hour. Come and enjoy one of the best racing facilities in the world.

I'm not a race fan (yet) but I have enjoyed riding my Harley around the big loop,a couple of times at Bikers for Babies.
The track needs more nearby attractions and to build restaurants that race fans can frequent on site.

Truck Race Friday and Nascar Saturday night. Fast Fast Fast! Get the Electronics and listen to drivers communicate. This was amazing!! We will return.

I love our speedway. Yes parking is always a pain at large events but they have a great tram system. From the start of race day there's good stuff all around. The local PTA group that does breakfast for the early race. Wonderful food. I like the set up. Good drink choices. Good food. Great racing. Haven't tried the casino yet. Awesome place to catch a race.

I have been here once before and sat in the grandstands. It was fun and a lot of activities just outside the grandstands and on the infield. Free concerts on the infield were a plus. Lots of food to choose from at prices that are in line with any special event. You won't be bored. The infield camping was nice and clean and neighbors were nice with an up close view of the track. Lots of free parking and all staff were very polite. Just a fun day! Bring earplugs.

Everyone is super friendly here. Plan on doing a lot of walking, but so so worth it! Exciting, fun to watch....fall race even MORE fun/important!

Attended the spring NASCAR. We have been to Talledega and Bristol for past races but I must say the people here are first class. You will get the usual crowd for a NASCAR race but it seems that there are simply nicer and friendlier people at this race venue. Parking is free and close to the track. Fairly easy to get in and out before and after. Of course Bristol is a one of a kind venue but I think next year I will return to Kansas.

Very poor service and everything is way overpriced.

The race was awesome!!!! kickn myself in the butt for not staying for the whole weekend! when we go next time we are doing the full three days, one day just wasn't enough! The race goes by so slow on TV yet when you are there it flys by! The parking well was the only bummer, wish they had parking passes because it was like a mile to the speedway from where we had to park but hey what do you expect with 75,000 people! great experience doing it again in the spring and maybe every fall too! our family had a great time!

Great venue to watch NASCAR!!! KS Speedway allows you to bring in your own cooler (alcohol is allowed!) as long as it fits under your seat, what a great deal as their concession pricing is steep!!!
If you can, get passes to pit row prior to the race, you get to walk a section of the track, see the banking in turn 1, and be able to get up close to the cars and pits crew areas. The garage is so clean you could eat off the floor!!!

One of our favorite tracks! We are now season ticket holders. If you are a racing fan in the Midwest, waste no time....go!

We've visited Charlotte, Daytona, and Kansas. By far the best facilities. Helpful people. Great experience!

i had never been to a Nascar race, with the virus keeping most fans away, and limited numbers of tickets being sold i thought this was a perfect time to go see a race. 1,200 acres comprise the speedways complex. many are devoted to just parking. i was lucky to park in the 5th row, but i was on the west end & my seat was on the east end of the stands, so it was a walk for me. not too many shuttles were running sunday, but i made it. when i got up into the concourse area i saw many concession stands, some were closed, but enough were open for the reduced crowd of fans. then i walked thru a gate and saw the track, it looked huge to me, the backstretch was far away.MAN! then i walked down to turn 4, my seat was section 260, row 42, #9, i was right against the safety fence so i couldn't fall off, a good view of everything i thought. after opening ceromonies the race got going and was awesome with one of my favorite drivers ,Joey Logano winning it! now i may have to go back next spring for the next race. see ya there !

There is not a bad seat. Easy in and out if the track. They let you bring in food and drink. Only down size is the cost of their food stands.

Took my boy here and we had a blast. It's real loud so ear protection might be a good idea. Good seats and great fun. The one let down is the lack of decent food to eat, so best to fill up before going.

Went with a group of friends for the October race. Had preferred parking passes which were closer to the stadium than normal parking. Porter potties were a far hike though. They need to have at least 1 porter by every walk through. Once in the stadium our seats were great. The pre race pass was not empressive but signing our names on the track and the wall was pretty cool. Nascar needs to allow fans more options during pre race. There was plenty of food and vendor options. Bathrooms were clean until half way though the race. Toilet paper was out and trash cans were full. Leaving the race was smooth until the stop lights by the highway. This track does not offer a lot of excitement. During the Hollywood 400 there was not 1 wreck. The casino does not seem to be in good sights of the track. Overall this is a good experience but it could use some updates.

We have been to 3 NASCAR events in the past two years. Something I never thought I would say in my life lol. We took our 6 year old this past time and she loved it. Parking is quite a distance from the venue, so you want to get there early. We came a few hours early and tailgated. I think the best part is being able to bring beer into the event in a small, soft cooler. Concessions are overpriced, as expected. Of course, as a woman, the bathroom traffic always seems to be an issue at events like this. This isn't the case here. They have enough stalls inside the restroom and enough restrooms to cut down on the traffic. We usually leave the race early, so we don't get stuck in traffic afterwards. It's a fun time and nice, clean venue.

Other than a long walk to track, We enjoyed the race.Staff at site uninformed when asked questions concerning handicap services.

Kansas Speedway is the best track on the circuit. Free parking during events lots to do. All the staff is friendly helpful. Would be nice if their App was better great place to take the family during a race weekend

Our seats are close to the start-finish line which are great but Saturday's race started at 3:00 and our seats were in the shade the entire time. It was cold outside even though we had coats and blankets. Sunday's race started earlier so we were in the sun for about 90 minutes of the race, which was better.
We did order food from our seats, they even take credit cards with their order pad. The food is actually much better than one would think for stadium food. That in mind, stadium food is expensive.
The mens and ladies restroom were well stocked and clean for as many people who come through there. If you haven't been before buy a scanner before going or rent one at the track. It makes keeping up with the race a lot more fun.

Kansas Speedway is a fun track to visit. My wife and I have been to several NASCAR tracks around the country and Kansas is up there on my list. One of the amazing things about the track is all the fun stuff to do in the "Legends" area which is literally half a mile from the track. Kansas speedway is definitely worth a visit.

Great place to see Drag racing ......decently priced food and drinks plenty of clean bathrooms.Would go again for sure.

Wonderful experience. So many friendly people. Weather could have been better, but no control over that!

I have had Club seats since the inaugural race. I go to every race as well as one or two elsewhere. It is a great track. Not a bad seat in the house and great amenities. I wish they had more activities and vendors during the races to make it an even bigger event.

This was our first NASCAR race to see at a track. We had a great time, the place is very clean, lots to do and see before the race, free parking, you can take in your own cooler of food and drink (beer). Would go again, enjoyed it all.

If you love NASCAR, you'll love this track. Everything is up close and you can actually see the pit crews as you walk around during the pre-race fan events. Lots and lots of food and beverage choices with short lines compared to some sports venues. The parking is so convenient and the folks directing you seem to care that you get where you need to be without hassle. I'm new to the sport so can't really review the track, but if you have your fan gear, ear plugs and sunglasses, you're good to go and this is a great place to experience NASCAR for the first time and many times more!

A well laid out venue for watching the entire race. Great facilities and visitor areas. Easy access to track from Major Highways.

nice race track. allow smaller coolers in which is a huge plus. ample parking, easy in before the race and out after the race.

We had a lot of fun at the Kansas Speedway. Love the fact that parking is free and you can take coolers in!

I just want to report what a sight to see this is. There was no race but as a race fan even driving by and taking pics is pretty cool. The track looked amazing.

Absolute fantastic experience. Easy access, close parking on lawns and merchandising/food great. Real fun day.

We were in the Hy-Vee hospitality sweet and the food was amazing. The venue is beautiful and got to take a tour of the pit area and attend the pre race concert and introductions which was very nice. The race was great and a lot of action. The souvenier trailers were cool to walk around as well as all of the other vendor activities. This is a definite return. If there is a down side it would be to make sure you are prepared to walk as there is a lot of walking. If you have trouble walking or need assistance there are carts to help you out if you are willing to be patient and wait for them.

I have been coming to the races here since the inaugural race e. I think this was 2001. For the first 10 years or so there were lots of driver or team trailers selling merchandise and lots of other vendor booths and stages outside the track area. Both have decreased over the years. Last couple of times the team trailers disappeared in favor of large merchandise tents. I quit buying stuff all together. This year many of the trailers have returned. Hopefully this is a trend. With NASCAR attendance decreasing, I think making this agenda more interesting and fun is important. Adding the vendor booths with games and challenges help the experience. The track itself is great and the food is great. Getting in to the parking area is easy. Leaving depend on when you leave, what the weather is like, where you park and what road you take to get out. It can be quick or you can be there for a long time - luck of the draw. They do not have any attendants helping direct you out.

I was not here for Nascar. The Kansas Speedway is also home to the annual American Royal BBQ competition. A 1000 tents and stages are set up in the infield. 467 contestants are competing against one another. If you are on a team, you get a wristband for all weekend access. If you are a spectator, you have to pay for each day plus $10 cash only parking.
Friday night was party night with bands, fireworks and wandering through the competition field. Almost all of the competitors are doing a test run, so the air is filled with BBQ smells. We were with team 714, so it was extra special to be right in the mix of things.
Saturday was kind of boring. You could walk through vendor tents and buy food and beer. The first 5000 people got free BBQ, but it was ho-hum compared to what the competitors were putting out.
Sunday was competition day. It's really difficult to get into the pit area. All the gates are closed except one. Parking is literally a mile away for non-team participants.
The speedway was a fun place to see and visit. Walking on the track and looking at where the pits set up was cool. Bathrooms are kind of an issue, but parking is the worst of all. Plan to walk and walk and walk.

This was my first NASCAR race I had ever been to. It was so awesome and we are already planning on returning next May for the races then. You see all different kinds of people there but these fans are so polite for the most part. The speedtrack is wonderful, it is great that they let you bring coolers, drinks and food in since concessions are so expensive.

We have been season ticket holders since the track opened. My Dad was the original ticket holder and when he passed away just over ten years ago we knew this is where we wanted to be twice a year in his Memory. Parking is free and it's always pretty easy to get in and out of the lot in a timely fashion. We have mastered the exit so it's really no big deal when you know where your going and which way takes longer. It's really great that you can take in your own coolers with beverages and food. That saves a lot of money when you don't have to buy food and drinks at the race. We always look forward to our race weekends, it's a long weekend of being outside and walking around but it's worth it. See you every spring and fall until our thirty year lease on our seats is up! 🏁

Went to Nascar races in Oct 2011 and both races were totally boring, the leader led what seemed the entire time in both the sprint and nationwide races, no battling up front. If you wanted to see passing you had to look back in the 10+ positions. Beautiful facility though and smooth traffic flow, just not very exciting racing action on the track itself.

not a fan of the races, but the entire complex is well maintained. They do have a tram for those who park in handicap, but they really could use a few more spaces.

I was at the Spring NASCAR Race in 2016. I know That I checked October but the spring race was not an option. I really enjoyed the race and the track. I have been to a couple other NASCAR tracks and KANSAS city is by far the nicest track. I can't say for all the tracks but of the ones I been to this one has the best parking, best traffic flow coming in and leaving. Also some of the best seating and great hotels to stay in after the race. The only negative is that the hotels here are like all the others, they raise their prices for the race which I think is a Ripoff but can't do anything about it!

I have always wanted to be a race car driver when I was younger. Getting to see a race is way more boring than the adrenalin rush that I am pretty sure that the driver is having! Now I am older and have kids and I am praying for there driving safety....lol. The track is still very pleasant to be at and an enjoyable experience.

We had a wonderful time while we were at the Kansas Speedway.
The seats we had were great! Area 124 Seats 7 & 8 .
It was my first time going to a NASCAR race. Be sure to bring your ear plugs as it is really load.
The vending area is set up really nice and spread out.
We will defiantly be back!

Not a bad seat in the house. Very accomodating to even an ambiguous fan. Not nearly as expensive as some of the East Coast tracks I have been to. AND, KC BBQ is everywhere! :)

Went to my first NASCAR race here and had a blast. Loved that you could bring soft-sided coolers in. Seats were great, fun atmosphere, and I hope to go back!!!

Compared to other venues, the lines are non-existent. There is plenty of room to tailgate with convenient facilities and great seats. If you haven't been, you need to go.

Easy to get to. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the track.

Have been here a few times to the Nascar race. Great seating and friendly staff. A fun way to spend a day!!!

This was our first time at a NASCAR track. It was qualifing day and not crowded. Only 10 bucks for the day and then the evening race included. Lots of vendor freebies and game outside the track. Gotta do this again.

We have season tickets for our RV up on the terrace. It could not be nicer. I have also sat in the stands for some practice dates. Great atmosphere

This was my second visit to Kansas Speedway. I purchased a package deal from a season ticket holder. Included in the package were parking passes for both days. Every other track I have visited had gravel or hard surface parking for people paying $50-$60 for passes. Not here, what a muddy mess. People's vehicles got trashed along with there shoes and clothes. I think this is unacceptable, the attendance at NASCAR events is at a low right now and this doesn't help the situation.
The seats were great and the pre race track passes allowed awesome access to the inner track. Bringing in a cooler is a big plus also. Come on Kansas Speedway, at least buy some gravel!

I have been to other nascar tracks and I thought I might be disappointed here in Kansas, but I was wrong. You can obviously see the whole track which is a plus. Laps go by very fast. We really liked rows 16-20 that have a small surface for food and drinks and more room between neighbors. Speaking of other guests here, they were very nice and not drunk and or rude like I have seen at other events. Plenty of parking, tailgating, and prerace events. To top it off the weather was beautiful. If you get a chance, visit a nascar race here.

We love our F1 so going to see NASCAR racing was an essential part of our route 66 journey even though it meant quite a large detour from our route. We read that it was a good idea to get there early to avoid the traffic, which we took a bit too literally I think, as we were one of the first cars to arrive before the sun had even risen. We had stayed the night before at the Capri Motel in Kansas City, don't do that under any circumstances as it's in a terrible part of the city. We hadn't slept at all so after a quick wander around the stalls outside the stadium we had a nice long sleep in the car! It's a bit of a trek to the stadium from the parking area, but it was sunny so quite a nice walk. I wanted to buy a t-shirt from outside but none of the stalls had sizes smaller than large (no comment!) the race was quite exciting, incredibly loud though, don't even remotely consider not using ear protection. There were plenty of minor crashes and several fights for the lead which made for a good race. The people are... Interesting... To say the least!! Very friendly though even the ones who looked a little scary. We weren't drinking as we had to drive back to Joplin after the race, but we did like that drinking was allowed in the stadium and people could bring their own rather than have to pay the inflated stadium prices. That's something we don't really see enough of in the UK. Overall a fantastic experience.

I attended the speedway for the first time in October with my dad. It was a good time! The facility was pretty awesome as far as I'm concerned! We both enjoyed it very much!

I was given 2 tickets to a NASCAR race by Goodyear for buying some tires. My first thought was to sell the tickets and make about $200. However, since I'd never been I thought I should relish the experience for free and boy am I glad I did. The experience was great and the KS Speedway is one of the top tracks in the whole USA!
My tickets were way up top on the end of the track but it didn't matter because there is not a bad seat in the house. I could see and hear everything so well. Speaking of hearing, I rented the radio headset/transmitter ($35, +$10 for additional headset & share transmitter) and had it on the whole time. It was very nice to listen in to the drivers and their pit crews (just turn the number to the corresponding car number and voila!) you could also listen in to the radio and TV broadcast. This made it so much better so that I knew what was happening right in front of me. If you do not have the headset, you MUST have something in or over your ears. The cars are very loud and you could easily have hearing damage without some protection!
I went to the inaugral night race (6:30pm start time) and it was so much better that going to a race that started at Noon or 1pm. I would think it would be unbearable to sit there for 3 hours in the heat of the day, but the evening was cooler. Plus, the hours leading up to the race were more enjoyable. We got there about 3:30pm and parked somewhat far, but the parking is FREE!
There are many things to do before the race outside the gates and once inside, there are more things to do. You can bring coolers into the speedway with your favorite drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic - and your own food. That is great! I did notice the concessions pricing was normal for a large gathering (about 100,000 people).
Finally, KS Speedway on raceday is a people watching paradise. Tons of different "types" of folks walking around with their coolers and tattoos. It's a great bargain to pay for the ticket and then get free parking and BYOB and BYOF. I may do it again, but the only reason I wouldn't is because I'm not into NASCAR as much as NFL Football.
The KS Speedway is a top-notch locale and entertainment was great.

If you have an opportunity to visit this track I would do it. You have a great race view wherever you sit. The parking is free and the hospitality is wonderful. Its a 4hr drive from St. Louis and this was my second visit to this track for the Hollywood Casino 400. My friends pictured went with me went and we all had a great time. This was actually the first race for one of my friends and he had a blast( pictured in the middle) and he left with a new favorite driver Kyle Lawson. You don't have the over intoxicated knuckleheads with foul language to worry about. The staff at the track do a great job in helping out when needed. So if you want to have a god view of the track regardless of seating this is it.

Awesome adventure every year! We have been season ticket holders for a few years now and every year we enjoy two weekends at the Speedway!

I have always wanted to go to an actual Nascar Race and this is the place to go! As big as this place is, it is very organized and so many volunteers to keep everyone informed. Lots of places to choose from to eat, a little pricey but aren't all events like this? You are allowed a small cooler, size allowed is on the website. We chose to go to the concert before the race and saw Sister Hazel, that was awesome, walked around the cars, signed the start/finish line, took a tour around the garages where the racers were getting ready and met so many nice people!!!! This was an event I am happy to check off my bucket list and will possibly be back again!!!! Lots of fun!!!

Been going for several yrs now and to both Sprint cup races and the full weekend races. Enjoy it every time. Got start/finish line ticks this time and what a view. Stayed at the BW KC Speedway and what a awesome weekend I had. KC Speedway is close to a lot of restaurants and hotels and shopping they built everything around it. Hollywood Casino is fun to go to and try your luck. Great place to takevthe kids to enjoy what Nascar has to offer and what a show the drivers give the fans. Once you buy tickets for a race you are eligible for them the next same race day. Love NASCAR and love KC Speedway.Jon

If you are a Nascar fan and have been bored at the Kansas Speedway, you need to visit it again. They have repaved and changed the banking and made it a much more exciting race. The cheap seats are good and they keep the facility up very nice. Everyone involved there were very nice and accomodating (midwesterns usually are). There is ample free parking and the tailgating experience is a blast even if your just watching the others. You can carry your own beverages and snacks in to save a lot of money. If you are a race fan, I highly recommend this track.

If you enjoy NASCAR racing, and you live in the midwest, this is your place. Living in Iowa, this is the closest track for seeing NASCAR action. Have been going for years to Kansas Speedway, and it has never let me down. My friends and I always make a yearly trip to Kansas City for the race and it is a blast. Great track, great racing, great experience. Free parking, and a great place to tailgate before the race. One of the only places that lets you take in your own cooler of goodies to enjoy while watching the race. LOVE IT

Have to give the Nascar experience a try. The KS Speedway does a great job. They seem to have worked out all the kinks. Parking is easy, fan experience is great, food is great. It's a fun time so give it a try.

Well organized venue not only for the races but for a few other events as well. There are races in May & October. last summer there was a mobile version of the TV show Whipeout.

We went to our first Nascar race this past October. As others have noted the track lets you bring in a soft sided cooler for food and drinks which is nice. I recommend renting Sprint Vision, for video replays, listing to the scanner, plus with the headphones you don't need ear plugs. The seating was great, it's nice they also let you bring in seat cushions, and the bleachers all have backs!
There is a lot of walking, which is to be expected.
The negative is the traffic. There has be to be a better way to get people in and out of this place. It can easily take 1-2 hours to park and to leave. Next time we will plan on tailgating before and after the race.

We took out kids to the first night race here and really can't think of anything that I feel was bad. The parking staff were nice, the staff gate people were friendly and the stadium workers were nice too!
There was a pretty bad storm heading our way and they were very alert and informative the entire time. About ever 15-20 minutes they reminded everyone about the pending storm and recommended that everyone have a plan in place should the weather get severe.

Now I am not a die hard NASCAR fan. The speedway is easy to get to, parking is ok and the fair amount to see. Like probably most speedways it is very, very loud in there so bring some form of ear protection. Hard to hear the announcers (particularly when the cars are racing) but, again, probably the norm. If you are NASCAR fan you will like it. For the rest of us, one time is plenty.

The race was so on boring. I have been to 7 other tracks and this track had no outside vendors and the activities were pathetic.

Food was nothing exceptional. Service was EXTREMELY slow. One waitress actually fell and spilled all the food in front of us. Manager came to our table but never even offered some type of compensation. Poor PR.

We have gone to this race for several years now. We enjoy the track and alos have been impressed with the traffic control. We travel to lots of Nascar races and this track rates up pretty high in traffic flow.

Couldn't ask for nicer weather for a night race in May. Sometimes it can be on the cool side but this time it was great. We can order food and drinks from our seats. The servers this time were not real attentive and correct with our order. The seats and the walk ways are clean. Had a problem in one of the women's bathrooms it was half closed and flooded. But they do have plenty of restrooms available so many opted to go to another facility. Getting in and out of the parking lot on Friday was a breeze, but the Saturday night race took a long time.

Just got back from the track and a full weekend of NASCAR racing. This place is spotless and there are all kinds of people there making sure it stays that way throughout the race. Both Saturday and Sunday morning as we arrived at the track, someone in a golf cart pulled up and saw that my friend struggles when walking and gave us a ride to the gate. Neither would give us their name but I can tell you it was much appreciated. Security was tight but moved very fast and we had no delay getting into the track. Also, getting into the parking area was easy, although some of the parking folks were clearly just standing around, looking at their phones and not doing their job but frankly, it gave us the chance to park in an optimal spot that we wouldn't have been able to get to if they were doing their job! That great spot on Sunday gave us the ability to get out of the parking area and back to the RV park 12 miles away within 30 minutes of the race ending. I've been to several NASCAR tracks around the country and this is one of my favorites.

My wife and I had a great weekend at the NASCAR races in Kansas City. A lot of NASCAR action on the track Friday with the ARCA series championship race Friday night. More NASCAR action Saturday with the Xfinity race Saturday afternoon. Sunday had lots of pre-race activities and a very exciting Sprint Cup series race. We had pit passes for the event and we prefer the fall race weekend because the temperatures are cooler (60-70 farenheit). A must do for race fans.

Been here twice and had a great time for both. parking is free but a bit of a walk. If you don't get a early entry pass be sure to bring your tailgate gear because it is a big party in the parking lot. If you are not in to tailgating I highly recommend getting an ignition pass or VIP pass to go in the garages etc they are well worth it. Great track to watch a race. BE SURE to bring your walking shoes as you will walk a lot. Oh yeah very friendly staff.

Our kids, any myself, did a ride along. It was so fun & the experience of a lifetime! The kids (18, 20, 24) really enjoyed it too!

I took our 8 year old son to the NASCAR races in October and this was the first time being there for both of us. Was so impressed at the layout of the track; the ease to find seating and the organization of the haulers and displays made if fun to go to see your favorite driver and find exactly what you were looking to spend time at.
Food was the typical "sports" food but everyone was so friendly and overall nice.
View from the seats were great..from looking around I don't think there is a bad seat in the entire speedway.
WOULD LOVE TO GO AGAIN! We had a great time!

The Kansas Speedway is one of the leading motor sport facilities in the Midwest. It offers a large, banked track and other related racing attractions.

It loud, but worth visiting an event here. I suggest bringing your own ear plugs and headphones to help with the noise. We had seats around corner # 1 that were great. Parking is crazy, so arrive early.

I went to Kansas Speedway for my first Nascar Race. It was a great track! I really enjoyed it.
Tickets are reasonable. We had tickets and fanwalk passes.
Lots of parking. We had a parking pass and the people that were directing parkers were really helpful. We got up there and the line to get through was really quick even with them searching bags.
When you first walk in they have trailers set up with driver merchandise that you can purchase.
They have several food vendors that are really decent priced! Also love that you can bring your own food and drink.
The speedway staff were really helpful!
Bathrooms were clean and hardly ever a big line because of so many!
No complaints!

I've enjoyed the NASCAR races I've attended but it is a crazy mess getting in and out.

If you're doing a NASCAR race, get there early! TONS of stuff to see and do outside of the track. We were there all day and didn't see everything. Bring your travel grill and a cooler and tailgate with the fans, mingle and chat everyone up or go browse your driver's gear. Very cool, laid back atmosphere outside during pre-race. Plan to walk a lot and make sure you plan ahead for weather. The track lets you take a 14x14x14 soft sided cooler and school sized backpacks into the track so even though tickets can be a bit high, you can save a ton by bringing in your own food and beverage. Our seats were in Turn 4, right on the fence at the opening of Pit Road. We were in the second level which was perfect. We saw the entire track, had a great view of a wreck and had plenty of room to move around. There's an option to buy earphones with scanners and I would probably do that next time. I underestimated how loud it would be. The staff was super friendly, lines moved along nicely and even the parking lot attendants after the race were very nice. I highly recommend it!!

This is my favorite racetrack. They are so fan friendly they go out of there way to make it the best guest experience possible. The food is great really luv chuckies pork tenderloin sandwich. Parking is great the shuttles are awesome and the police and Kansas dot. Do a great job of getting you out after the race

GREAT track- we have attended races in 4 states, and Kansas Speedway rocks - or should I say it is a "green flag". Parking is free with lots of tailgating, something you do not find much at other tracks. Not bad seat in the place. We have been attending since the inaugural race.

We had a great experience as Kansas Motor Speedway! We bought our tickets through StubHub, so we were able to get Track Passes with our tickets which was great! We loved getting to write on the wall, watch the cars as the traveled to pit lane, and checking out victory lane. We got to the track about 9:30, and the traffic was already getting bad. I recommend going even earlier then that. Our seats were at the start finish line about 20 rows up, and we had a great view of the entire track.

This was very fun. If your a racing fan you will love the Kansas Speedway.

Just back from the October race. This was our third time in as many years. Always a fun event. We paid extra for an "ice cream social" with Jimmy Johnson that was sponsored by Wells' Blue Bunny. Well worth it to get a few minutes of face time with Jimmy!

First time for the kids and I for NASCAR. We enjoyed the whole experience with pit passes, the concert, both day racing and it was a great weekend. Love that they allow you to take outside food and drinks in, made the experience so much more reasonable. We were on a charter bus so that parking was awesome and getting in and out was quick and easy.

I have been coming to his track since it opened. Almost 20 years. The overall experience which included the races, the vendors, the team merchandise trailers, exhibits, food, fan walk and the music was great. Now there is only a few vendors and sponsor tents left. There are a lot fewer team trailers left and virtually all outside food vendors are gone. There is one main band on the racetrack before driver introductions but none outside the track like there used to be. The overall experience is not what it used to be. Ticket prices remain the same. The new tables in the PASS section makes it much more comfortable in the PASS section.

Anyone that loves racing will have a great time. What a rush when all those cars start up. It was our 7 year old son's 2nd race. The first was in New Hampshire last year. He said it was boring because there were no "crashes." He did enjoy it this year. Plus he is in the cub scouts and they had a special day for them and they got to meet the driver. Plenty of parking. Felt safe no matter where we were at. If you don't enjoy it, then you don't like racing. It's great when they have concerts also. You want to make a day out of it and enjoy it all. You get to bring a cooler, drinks, snacks, etc. See guidelines before for this. But you always have to get some type of food when you get there.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, CLEAN. This is our 14th trip to Kansas Speedway and have always found it a friendly track with good employees. Any seat above for 20 is good. Somewhat disappointed that October 4th practice and qualifying were not free as they have been in the past. Even season ticket holders were charged $10 to $15 to be admitted. Come and enjoy NASCAR here.

We have been coming to Kansas for about 10 years now. Love camping at the track. Meeting new people & the entire race weekend. Only complaint would be the muddy campground if it rains.

Good track, like that you walk in on the ground floor. Did not like that there were no trams to get from parking to up closer to the track. Plenty of food stands with a variety of things. Could have used a few more venders/ Sponsers in the Dan zone area. But all in all a good time was had by all

They call it the best guest experience. Well it is.
I have been to Daytona and lately Charlotte. Now one of these is an ISC track the other isn't. I was a bit disappointed at Daytona I thought they should be somewhat run the same. Oh No!
Daytona is Daytona HUGE venue HUGE track and the ego to go with it. I walked away feeling like the staff there was saying Eh big deal we are Daytona. WE ARE DAYTONA! OK but your fans are saying whatever!
Kansas is flip side of the coin. From the ADA guys and the very visible security in the3 parking lots and campgrounds to the guest services giuy in the stands, I felt like they were happy I was there and I saw more times than not a Staff member stopping whatever they were doing to help a guest.
Now there are the folks that take advantage of their system and they know it and will address the issue.
THere is a No Smoking in the grand stands policy here, and if you text ANY issue to the numberon the card a REAL person responds back saying Oh My we will get that Porta Potty uprighted ASAP.. or WHere do you need a jump start.... Or I am sorry you lost your car where are you we have folks to help with that.
This place is a nice track. Nice people who know their jobs..
Price of Beer. Eh we will cover that another day.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 3+ year and love it. Everybody there is friendly and the seating is not bad. Be prepared to walk a lot and if you don't want to walk a long way from your car I would advice going really early to get a decent parking spot. You are aloud to be in a soft sided cooler (which is great since the food and drinks there are pricey). If you can't handle loud noise bring ear plugs because it gets very loud and dress comfortable because it can get hot or cold rather fast.
We will continue to come here and can't wait for next year!

I have been a few times. Once a NASCAR race and one in June 2014 on the new part of the track. We had good seats to the NASCAR race and the other race we had to be in the infield sitting area and there wasn't much seating there. We had to sit on the bottom of the stands or bring your own chair and you could barely see over the fence, really was a waste of time if you ask me. But if you go to NASCAR races where you sit in the REAL seats it is a wonderful experience.

Great track. Had a good weekend watching the both races. The entire area is well laid out. All sorts of thing to do out side of track also. If it is on your list of tracks get’er done.

Wether you are here for a race or a BBQ event on the he infield, this very modern Speedway will never the a disappointment. I've been here for both and always come away with how clean and refreshing the track looks. Check it out I am sure that you'll agree.

First NASCAR event, and it was great! Free parking, bring in a cooler of you own beverages and food, go down on the track before the race. We were very surprised how fan friendly it was compared to a NFL game or MLB game. Ear plugs are a must, especially for smaller children, it is loud!

took a tour here people very helpful through out food cheap and lots of it.very quiet all day makes change from uk

Wife and I went to a few ARCA races at the Kansas Speedway and we had a fun time. Racing is pretty exciting and the price is reasonable!

Great speedway! This is very fun track to visit. Their is a great area to shop and eat within very close walking distance to the track. The grand stand seats are great.

The track has been a boom for the area! It is well maintained as NASCAR requires and there are many many restaurants, shopping and hotels now in the area.

The race experience was good, however the situation with the parking was the very thing why I will not go back. It rained during the race and walking the mile and a half to two miles back to the car in the dark and mud was ridiculous. Security was NO help and lacked customer relations. When asked is there only one rock creek running through the property, I was told yes, however found out three hours later there is actually two. With help from the Kansas City Kansas Police, we found the vehicle by the second rock creek bed. The parking was the end of a fun experience. Without a four wheel drive you are screwed to get out without problems. With so much money being made, something needs to be done with the parking situation; better lighting, more firm substance to park on and better parking lot markings. The race was over at approximately 12 am and we did not leave until 3 am. We were not the only ones with issues, there were actually so many people the Police were struggling to help while security just drove around or sat parked with their lights on. Why is security even there?

Attended a NASCAR Sprint Cup race here. Free parking and they allow small soft-sided coolers to be brought in. View from the seats were great and the speedway grounds looked great, too.

If you were into racing, this is a great experience. Tickets for the non-cup race are very reasonable, many times people give them away. We camp in the infield and spend 4 to 5 days embracing NASCAR. Highly recommended

Lots to see and do before the race. Freebies, meet and greets, souvenirs and food were all fun. Plenty on sight parking, but getting out took forever, which was the only big drawback. Clean facilities, and nice people. Glad we went!

Love the folding seats for the nationwide, did not have as good seats for the sprint cup race. The track is nice, not as good as Texas but nice. Long walk for the sprint race and the staff seemed a little unorganized. Overall a great race weekend!

Had a great time! they are very organized and clean. Traffic control and parking was very easy! the employees where all very friendly and helpful. The seats where great could see all the way around the track. Job Well Done!

After going since day 1, I am amazed at how well the facility still looks. It looks as good as it did on day one. Crowds seem to be down and parking was not as good because of all of the rain. All and all, we had a good time.

We drove all the way from Dallas and loved it. Great seats and the grandstands are unique. It's a must see.

If you a NASCAR fan you need to add the Kansas Speedway to your list of tracks! Even if your not they have motorcycle rallies even year for the March of Dimes. The food is good & the employees enjoy their job!

Always fun and entertaining, get a chance to try out the VIP options, fun but wish you could purchase at per/ day instead of weekend

I have been to numerous tracks around the country and this one is the best by far as far as total experience. You will never wait in line for a bathroom, they are kept clean and stocked through the entire race, rarely waited in line for food or drinks. The location makes traffic a breeze! After the race it took us 25 minutes to get to downtown from the time we started our car. Overall, best NASCAR track for convenience, service and amenities.

This was a perfect venue for the Royal BBQ Contest. Trams from the parking lot were efficient and it was set up beautifully. The grounds are nicely kept.

Love love love coming here for the races!!! Season tickets are affordable, times of year work well with our work schedules and you can see the whole track!!! Our seats are at the restart zone, 9 rows up and I don't believe better seats can be had! Xfinity today Nascar tomorrow...great making of a GREAT weekend!!!! 1.5 mile track! Let's go racing!!!!

Without a race going on, it isn't so exciting. It was, however, interesting to compare it to the larger raceways, We looked even if we couldn't get in. We didn't see a museum.

Nice to have a facility like this in the Kansas City area. Rather easy in and easy out for vehicles and people.

Great Race Track, If you go try one of Chuckies Famous Iowa Pork Tenderloin sandwhich's you wont be disappointed... Free Parking but get there early when they open the lots.

Parking pass never showed up even after 3 weeks. I called and they told me to go ahead and come, and park walk to the ticket pick up area, walk back to my car and then repark. How sad is this, you buy a parking pass so you don't have to walk as far (my wife has some trouble walking long distance) $35 for nothing, if they don't want to sell them then don't. No refunds etc.

We have been to a couple of races here. This speedway was built out in the middle of nowhere... and that nowhere has now built up with dozens of large restaurants, shopping, hotels, a sports park, a water park, and a casino. There is lots to do here and it's very easy to find.

I visited Hollywood Casino and you can actually see the Speedway. I've never been to a race car show but would love to one day.

This was my first NASCAR race. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere, people, and the roar of those engines!!

The best thing about Kansas Speedway is the parking. Most of the tracks I've been to for NASCAR races don't handle the traffic and parking very well. The parking lot was definitely overflowing but it was very easy navigating through and exiting wasn't a hassle at all. Plus it's free!
Overall the service at and around the track was great. People were pretty friendly. Tickets for the race in May were fairly cheap. I thought the price of food was a pretty good deal. A little cheaper than some other tracks in my opinion. Good experience, will definitely return!

Pros: You're there, in person; however, at home, on TV, it’s free, with climate controlled comfortable seating, private toilets, normal noise levels, superior close-ups and instant replays, easily understood commentary, no traffic, crowds, flying debris or parking issues. Recommendations: use on-site scanners for ear protection and commentary; come prepared for half mile hike from the free parking to the track; pack a soft sided cooler with your favorite drinks and eats; dress in layers for all types of weather.

I was not in town for the race but wanted to take a tour of the track. We have done that at other tracks. Not kansas. Only time is when the Richard Petty driving school is there. Could only see the track from the casino. Won't return even for a race.

Everyone should experience a Nascar race at least once in their lifetime! There's not one bad seat in the house. Bring your ear plugs! :)

What an experience! Staff and fans were all very friendly. Security was not bad at all. I did not eat the food but got a lot to drink (It was 88 degrees in October). It was all higher priced but nothing I wouldn't expect from such an event. Will definitely return.

We've seen several races at this track. Parking is typical of an event of this size. It seems that getting in and out has gotten better. Concessions are way to expensive though, you don't have to rape people that pay a lot to come there in the first place but everything else is good.

I have been to several races at the Kansas Speedway. It is an excellent place to watch a race. You can bring in your own food and drinks, including adult beverages. The facility itself is top-notch and everyone is very helpful. They have free parking and do a great job of getting you in before the race and out after the race.

The Kansas Speedway is a great place to hit! It's action packed and lots of fun. Many people take their own food to "tailgate" in the parking lot and you can take in a smaller cooler if you want to save some cash on drinks etc. If you like fast cars, you'll love The Kansas Speedway...

We've attended several races at the Kansas Speedway and are impressed with the layout, seat selections and fan experience. This year we were able to see the first night race held there. It was on Friday night with the ARCA series but it was a beautiful event! They have it set up just perfectly. We also went to the Nationwide and Sprint Cup races and were not disappointed. The only thing we wish they would incorporate are shuttles from the parking fields.

We attended the track for the NASCAR night race, great track, clean, friendly staff.
They have some sections with table benches in front of you, I would absolutely try to get a ticket there next time!

We came down from Wisconsin to see a race at Kansas with a first timer. We are beyond blown away. The staff is friendly. The Office (customer service) answered every question I had. Every time I called. I called so many times she said if I had any problems when I got there to call her on her cell phone! WHO DOES THAT!

Racetrack is well kept and bathrooms were clean. Bring seat cushions for metal bleacher seats. Need better "policing" of parking lot exits. Many people helping get parked but not so many on exit.

Just returned from an awesome race weekend!! We have been season ticket holders for many years and will continue for many more!!! Very friendly staff and always willing to help! 🏁🏁🏁

My first live NASCAR experience and I had a great time. Venue is clean and staff is very polite. Not a bad seat in the house.

This is a great asset to the Kansas City area. We love Nascar races and have been to several states to see other races; but, you have hotels, restaurants and shopping right there by the track.

I have been to many races at Kansas Motor Speedway. Parking is adequate if not a distance to walk. People are friendly and fun in Kansas. Tailgating is the best in the world with excellent bbq. During the race men's bathrooms can get very busy and long lines causing bladder pain.

This was my first trip to Kansas, and I went specifically for the NASCAR race. I sat in the first row and still was able to see the back straightaway which I did not expect. The raceway was clean and I felt very safe walking around just me and my friend, both females. If you sit in the first row and you're not used to the loud engines I would purchase earplugs because it can make your inner ears ring. I would definitely visit this track again. The traffic around the track was limited because they planned ahead for all of the guests. There were many places to eat and see right around the track too and I wish I stayed in Kansas City longer than I did.

Very disappointed in the food selections at the recent NASCAR event weekend. I understand we are coming out of COVID lockdowns. But folks have spent good money traveling and supporting this facility. I think you can do much better for the fall race weekend.

Have been season ticket holder for about 5 years. love the track just need more shade over the grandstands. I like bring in my own beverages. since we are not drinkers and I refuse to pay 3 dollars for a bottle of water. loved the night race. so much nicer that the October race.

Went to the race on May 9th. The parking is in a field on the prairie. It had rained and it was a muddy mess beyond believable. Vehicles were stuck all over the place. We had to slog thru mud about ankle deep to get to a gravel road. We will not attend again unless the weather is dry or they fix the parking. We also will not buy tickets in advance due to the unknown weather on race day. There were plenty of empty seats available.

My son and I are huge NASCAR fans and will be attending our 3rd race here in a week. Kansas Speedway gives guests some of the best opportunities to get close to drivers through affordable Infield Passes for all race days. We found "sweet spots" that were best for driver sightings and autographs after racers. Hint: Watch where the drivers exit the pickups after driver intros.......NASCAR as a sport is very fan-driven, where there isn't much ego-driven behavior and drivers, especially the ARCA and Xfinity drivers, are just tickled that someone recognizes them and wants an autograph or just to say hi. The facility is clean, well-lit and easy to get in and out of. The ONLY complaint is the food. Not a lot of choices besides the usual fried fare. I did get a turkey wrap last May and got a violent case of food poisoning that caused me to barf all over the concourse. Not cool. Other than that, we're looking forward to our race weekend. As far as scanners and earplugs, I'm a hair band fan from way back when so the noise doesn't bother me. You can follow the radio chatter really well with the headsets, but another perk we discovered is how closely you can follow the race through Twitter, just by following the right crew members, etc. If you can swing it, ARCA Day and the Xfinity race day can be great times to catch your driver in between practice and qualifying in the garage and fan walk area. With an Infield Pass you can get right by the Pit Boxes. Who knows who you might catch? Hope to see you there! #14Forever.

Great facility, not a bad seat any where good view of the track. Very clean and modern with plenty of concessions, restroom, medical/safety facilities. The track is located 16 miles east of KC and the traffic flow is well designed. With something like 160,000 spectators it still takes a while to get all of the cars in and out but much better than most other NASCAR tracks.

Seriously not a bad seat in the place and easy to get into and out of the facility. You can stay at the Great Wolfe Lodge just down the street if you have kids too. So many places to shop and eat at the Legends shopping center which is just a minute away!

I took my adult son to a 400 mile NASCAR race in October. It was the first NASCAR race for both of us. We were seated in row 42 near the center of the track and had an excellent view of the entire track. The facility is well-organized and clean. I rented Fan Vision sets for each of us. These sets had both video and audio. They were $10 each more than the sets that had only audio. If you want to save a little bit of money I think you can forego the video sets. You can see what's on the large monitor right in front of you or you can view car cameras from a pre-selected set of only six drivers. I probably didn't spend more than a minute looking at my video screen. I did enjoy listening to the conversations between the pits and the drivers. The head sets are more than sufficient to muffle the track noise. If you don't rent these you'll certainly need hearing protection of some kind. Also, it makes sense to rent these prior to the race day as they are cheaper and pick-up is easier than waiting to do it on race day.
Finally, arrive a couple of hours early so you can take advantage of visiting the vendor booths set up both outside and inside of the grandstand area.
Thanks for reading.

Did not renew our season tickets this year since most of our favorite drivers have retired. When we found out that Elliott Sadler was racing in his final season we decided to come back and see him and the new configuration of the PASS section. The race was good and Sadler finished 2nd. The new tables were nice but it made getting in and out of the seat difficult. Most people were standing on their chairs and climbing over them to get to the walkway. We had fun.

I travelled 10,000 miles to watch nascar at this event, it was everything I could have hoped for, a milestone sporting event. The Venue and the atmosphere was superb, friendly and the facilities were well setup.
I would recommend to anyone.
Get their early and enjoy the whole day.....and the race 👌👌👌👌

My first trip to KC for a NASCAR race a few weeks ago. The Kansas Speedway is a great venue. I had driven by many times going to the airport, but this was my first time attending.
There are plenty of great seats. Lots to see and do. Many folks were tail-gating in the parking areas. And there is plenty of parking. It is a big place, so plan on walking quite a bit. There are plenty of vendors for NASCAR merchandise, as well as food and drink. Amazingly this track lets you carry in a reasonable amount of your own food and drink, which is nice since prices are quite high like at most sports venues nowadays. The race was exciting and spirited. Decided on the last two laps. A beautiful day. Great fun was had. Took quite a while to get to the car and once there don't be in a hurry. It takes LOTs of time to get all those cars out of there and to the freeway. Super race though and worth it all the way.

Saw Rockfest here June 2017 and the venue was great for an all day concert. Only complaint was the ridiculous long lines for food that needs to be corrected. I've seen a NASCAR race there and wasn't a problem at all with all the stands open. We left early to beat the big crowd leaving so non issue for us. Nice to have all the bathrooms and sheltered area from the sun. Staff seemed organized and good security. Prices for beer were actually reasonable with $5 aluminum bottles.

It was my first time there. The experience was awesone. It was easy to get to and parking was free. The handicap parking lot was paved and easy access to the track. I would highly recommend this track for the perfect Nascar experience.

Everyone visiting KC must find a race schedule and plan a trip to watch a race at the speedway. Where else can you tailgate, park for free, and take your own drinks in???

My first Nascar race! Waited in traffic for over an hour to park and had to park about a mile away. Parking was free though. Had great seats on turn #4. My driver didn't win but it was a great weekend anyway!

As a season ticket holder we reserve a spot on the calendar for the races. Friday night the weather for the truck race was a little cool but Saturday night's cup race the weather was fine. It is amazing how the staff clean up the seats and walkways to have them perfect for the next days race. We do enjoy the races but highly recommend a scanner so you can figure out what is going on and it protects your ears because it is very loud.

I just returned from a weekend of racing in Kansas City. The Craftsman Truck Series was 4/28 and the IRL (Indy Cars) was 4/29 at the Kansas Speedway. 1.5 m track with 81,000 seats.
I knew nothing about racing - but it was great! Here are my recommendations:
* Seats were in 201, row 40 - great location. Sun at your back and shade from about 3:00 on.
* Bring a small soft sided cooler (6X6X12) full of beer, water, anything but glass. Beer and mixed drinks are $6 - $8 in the race. Bring snacks like chips, Twizzlers, popcorn, etc. in another bag.
* Dress comfortably. Shorts, tennis shoes (LOTS of walking), light jacket for evening. We didn't need sunscreen or hats - but had them just in case.
* Bring binoculars. You can see details of the pit activity - amazing. Bring ear plugs - nothing fancy - cheap wax ones work fine.
* Stay at the Amerisuites in Overland Park. About 20 minutes away on 435, $79 a night with a great free breakfast.
* Shop at Legends across from track if you have time to kill. Or, visit a casino - about 15 minutes away.
* Remember where you parked your car. 81,000 people. There are markers around to get your bearings.
* Leave the race with about 20 laps to go to beat the traffic. I know that sounds awful - but I can't imagine how long it would take to get out of the parking lots otherwise.
It looks to me like Racing is really just one big patriotic party. Tailgating, flag flying, beer drinking fun. It's something everyone should try at least once.

My experiences with the Kansas Speedway have been good. It is very similar to Texas Speedway in shape and at that point all similarity ends - In Texas, you are on your own for parking, and attempting to leave when it is over! In Kansas that is no problem! I don't care for the type of racing that results on both of these tracks but the better of the two - by a long-shot, is Kansas

This is a great track/ seating / event and entertainment in the Kansas area. Defiantly a spot to hit up in Kc. Nice to have a track.Very clean and well kept.

Great day to wander around even with out a race going on. The race weekends are awesome and they have a variety of things to do for all ages.

All around great time! We love visiting the Speedway!

Had a blast at the Hollywood Casino 400 NASCAR race in September 2022. This was my first NASCAR race in person after years of watching local short-track racing. There isn't a bad seat in the house here. For really only hosting two races a year, the facilities were spotless, and the concessions were spread out and plentiful.
I would come back to watch a race here in a heartbeat, however I am kicking myself for not taking advantage of the track's lenient carry-in policy. It's $5 for a bottle of water or soda, $10+ for a burger or chicken tenders, $9+ for a beer, etc. Do yourself a favor and carry in a small cooler with refreshments and a couple sandwiches!

We went down for the STP 400 April 22, 2012 and this was the first time I have ever gone to a Nascar race. We arrived at the track at 7am and got good parking spots in the no charge area. It is about a 400 yard walk to the racetrack from there. It was cold and windy but that means very little. Spent the morning walking thru the vendors and exhibits while our wives collected freebies. Then walked back to the car and got our coolers and tickets and warmed up. Started walking back to the track and got lucky as there are golf carts that pick up the cripples and we qualified and they took us up to the gate. A quick search of the coolers and bags and we were in. Access to the seats is quick and easy. Bathrooms are very conveinent and plentiful. Concessions are the same and prices are very reasonable. Tables are scattered thru the concourse. Example of prices, Daytona Dog is a footlong char broiled dog about a inch in diameter for 5 bucks, Coffee was 2 bucks. Burger and fries was 7 bucks. Had the dog and it was good. You can bring in your own drinks and snacks in a 14 inch max cube of a soft sided cooler also. Our seats were 30 rows up and had very good sightlines to the entire track. Standard aluminum bleacher seats with backs. We didn't rent radio receivers but will next time. After the race, we exited easily and walked back to the car. Loaded up and waited for a few minutes pulled into traffic and were on the freeway within 10 minutes. Overall, I don't know how they could have improved much on the experience( maybe more shuttles from the free parking). Had a blast and would recommend it to anyone.

Great family event. Free parking, great place to tailgate with family and friends. Great seats. Have been a season ticket holder since Kansas Speedway opened.

The facility itself was great. Easy access to restrooms and vending, no matter where your seats were.
I was very impressed with how efficiently the parking attendants directed traffic to get you parked quickly!! Fantastic work!
But, once your parked, your parked. Getting out of that place is a nightmare. And if it has rained, a muddy mess.
Otherwise great place to view a race! Very comfortable.

If you are any kind of Nascar fan you should go to at least 1 race in your lifetime. I am a huge #24 fan and since it is his last season I had to go to a race. Kansas is the closest to my home. The Speedway is amazing. Parking is free, the Midway is well spaced out and organized. You can bring your own drinks/food in a softside cooler. The only reason I didn't give it a five is that there needs to be more tables for eating on the concourse. Very few tables for 100,000 people. Shopping around the track is amazing, anything you can think of, lots of restaurants also. The city does an amazing job of handling the traffic, it didn't take us near as long to get out as we thought. They do an amazing job with all the people that flood their city twice a year for a race.

While I actually did not see a race there, the personnel was nice enough to give me and my wife a tour to let us take some pictures during our recent stay in Kansas City. I just recently returned from Iraq and took the family up to KC for a weekend. The views are spectacular. The staff at the speedway are very nice and there is a lot to do in Kansas City.

Kansas Speedway is a great facility. It is well organized, and has excellent services. The food services were good, prices normal 'sporting event' prices, but food was good. They have interesting features, such as a water refill station. I had to empty my water bottle at Las Vegas, but here you are even allowed to bring in small coolers of drinks, including beer.
I was disappointed with the Fan Walk. You could not get close to the cars other than to see the inspection process. They fence in a little area close to the pits, but very little actually goes on there, and you can only see the cars through the fence.
The area outside the track is large and had many good displays and attractions. There is lots of parking and the track had three or four RV parking areas close by, with very efficient shuttle services to get you back to your RV.

What a great weekend! I had interaction with the medical team and they were so kind. The fans were great. The cost of food was a bit much. I can't imagine what it would of cost with a family.

Race Weekend in the Sprint Cup Series is always a fun and VERY CROWDED event. We have been a number of times to cheer on a client / Race Team owner over the past few years. Plan to arrive EARLY and set up a tail gate meal. Parking and traffic is always stressful. Just expect it. If you take and drink into the stands with you, remember no hard-sided coolers allowed. If you have garage and pit tickets, no alcohol. Take hearing protection; headsets or ear plugs at a minimum. One other suggestion: on sunny days you will need sunblock to prevent sunburn. Have fun and just take your time.

Wow great people, wonderful service, super nice seats with plenty of room. We will be back from Fort Lauderdale

Had a great time and think food choices were good but bathroom traffic was horrid. Missed big sections of race waiting in restroom line. Also, poor choice for motorcycle parking...bikes take up such a small footprint think it should be on paved lot closer to entry (or inside like at IMS)

We attended the spring Nascar Race weekend at the Kansas Motor Speedway in May. We attended the Friday Night Nascartruck race and the Saturday Night Cup Race and had a very enjoyable time. On Friday for the truck race and qualifying for both races we had a great evening, it was nice to enjoy the track grounds and get a feel for how it was all laid out being the crowds were at a minimum and the speedway staff although very friendly and helpful both days had more time on Friday to help and explain what we were looking for. Parking was not bad for us we were a five to ten minute walk on Friday and for Saturday we had a parking pass so we were very close to the front stretch grandstands. There was tailgaters galore Saturday and a great atmosphere in the parking lots. The Kansas Speedway allows you to bring a small soft cooler and bring your own drinks and snacks including alcohol as long as there is no glass containers. We brought most of our drinks but ate a meal at the track each day. The food variety was very good and the portions were large a little pricey but not more than expected at a large venue. I thought it was interesting that each different grill/ food service area had their own specialty hot dog or brat with their own special fixings, which they were advertising like a competition. The track has a casino on property but we didn’t get there, and several hotels and shopping nearby that all seem to cater to the track on race weekends. Shuttles to get around the track & infield areas ran often but figuring out exactly where they were going or what connecting shuttle you needed was a bit confusing. We had a great weekend and will more than likely return for another Nascar Event and may try to camp in the area.

If you want it loud and fast this is the place to go. Best track hospitality around. I've been to other tracks and Kansas is the best.

Again driving to the casino you can't miss this large open-air Speedway. Looks well maintained there's plenty of parking and I am sure in season it's a fantastic arena for the races.

My husband and I went last month. The music was good, the food was okay and the race was exciting. This is a nice event to attend. Safe environment.

I have only been to 3 different NASCAR speedways, but this is a great facility. The parking and getting in and out of the facility were a DREAM. You could not ask for anything better. For this reason alone, I will go back!! It's a newer facility, so it's quite nice. The parking is on grass and it can be hard to find your vehicle, but that's about the only negative I have. I can't wait to see another race here!

Every track I have visited has offered a gift shop and track tours during regular business hours. Not here! It was rudely put that I could call in April and possible schedule a tour. Upon parking and looking through the fence, I could see why. The grounds were horribly kept from what I could see. Grass growing all up through the parking lot pavement, signs laying on the ground. I would be too embarrassed to offer tours too. That's okay Kansas, keep your attitude and track, there are many more out there to explore

This was the fourth big speedway I have been to, and it did not disappoint. I went to see the Trucks race and was in for a treat. First, there was plenty of parking, maybe because of the amount of people who show up to see the NCWTS, but it was still plentiful. The track is easy to get to and is in the middle of a big open space. Signs were well marked and I had a pit pass and lot of walking ahead of me to get to the infield and the pits. It was worth the money to get the pit pass and to see the tech inspections for all the Sprint Cup series cars. I liked how they set up the area to watch the inspections and had it tiered so people could see better.
The pit tour for the NCWTS was great and done by very friendly, knowledgable people who really got you into the garages.
The seats in the stadium itself, were a little small, they could probably do without the cup holder. Overall it was a beautiful day and a great race.
Everyone was very nice and very helpful. It was not like the atmosphere I see at other races. A lot less drinking and very little smoking, which I liked a lot.
I am happy I went all the way to Kansas to watch the race, I hope to come back again in the near future.

If you like NASCAR or don't either way try it. Tickets can be pricy for some. But if you never have gone I would recommend you to go. It's a experience that isn't like dirt tracks. Or ect. I make a trip around this and my weekend ends with a big bang. Clean/beer is $$$ you can bring your own.. if I'm correct. Great food. Very nice stands. Long walk from parking suggest you get there early. Always a pleasure going..

The Track was Awesome. The vendors and staff were very helpful. Love the seating and the convenience of the bathrooms and food vendors. Parking in the field was a little questionable with the heavy rain the evening before but all went well. We will go back again.

Great venue for racing fans. Located adjacent to Legends entertainment district with variety of restaurants, shopping, entertainment and lodging. Wide open parking area makes for great tailgate opportunity - transportation infrastructure makes for easy access.

Great NASCAR venue. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this track. Traffic, parking, concessions, seating, restrooms, everything was excellent. There was a 2-hour rain delay and everyone was able to get under cover under the grandstands. It was crowded but we stayed dry. I would definitely go back.

Kansas speedway is a great nascar experience. Easy in, easy out, friendly staff. If you have ever thought about going to Kansas speedway but have not yet done so, go because you won't be disappointed. Take your portable grill and enjoy some tailgating. Some of these 1.5 mile races can be a little less than thrilling, but it is still a great experience for not a lot of money. We usually get the cheap seats ($64) and they are just fine as we like the full effect of the feel and the sound! I would also do the pre race infield track pass at least once as it is interesting as well.

My son and I went to the newly resurfaced Kansas Speedway for the Fall Nascar race and had a super time. Enjoyed the race very much. The raceway personnel made sure you had a goodtime. The stadium was clean and bathrooms were clean also . Food vendors were nice and security was there for your protection also. This is truly a nice venue for a nascar race. We will be back in the Spring for 2013 season

Lots of Driver Interviews in the Ford Display and lots of games and prizes in the 3M Display (Greg Biffle)

We went to the NASCAR race on 5/9/15. This was our first time to a NASCAR race and also our first time at the Kansas City Speedway. I have nothing to complain about except their parking which was in a field. All they have is fields of grass to park people in and if it rains, which it did, you might not be able to get out! When we were parked, we noticed a few people were already stuck but when we left early (rain delay) at 10 PM, we barely made it out. I did notice a lot of tow trucks just driving around and I can't help but think they were making really good money that night being there as a convenience and getting people out of the mud. We did, however, get an email from the Kansas City Speedway apologizing for the parking but really---let's invest in pavement or gravel because this is a really nice attraction and the track is fantastic!

This was my first Nascar experience and it was a great one!!! Everyone I met was friendly and helpful and it was an awesome experience!!!

Even if you are not a race fan, the speedway is enjoyable. Close to other amenities such as the Legends shopping district and the Hollywood Casino.

Visited on a NASCAR weekend and found this Speedway to be particularly fan friendly from the standpoint of ticket prices, food costs, access to seating, visibility to entire track, and especially access to infield area and activities. Just 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO but with plenty of accommodations in the immediate area as well.

Awesome place! really enjoyed watching race. Although a bit disappointed at the absence of food places and the inability to bring food inside.

First time.. went with hubby.. preatty awesome.. had a good experience. Will return for the races. And for sure for the next AMERICAN ROYAL.

As season ticket holders we enjoy going to the races. This year it rained the day before the Nationwide race, they still had the parking areas in good shape. The restrooms are usually fairly full but the wait time is minimal. They keep the public areas clean and the staff are very helpful.
If you have not been to a NASCAR race be prepared. It is extremely loud so you need headphone to listen to the radio broadcast, or you will need ear plugs.
Food is pretty good but like most sport venues it is expensive.

We went and did the Richard Petty drive experience and it was awesome. We did a ride along first and the speed reached was around 160 MPH. We then drove and hit 145, 144, and 138 each. Great day!

First time at the Kansas speedway. I found it clean, nice, and I do not think there was a bad seat in the house. I had 7th row seats and could see the back stretch. Next May I am going to try to get seats down low again. Lots and lots of parking, but be very prepared to wait along time to get out of the lot after the race. You will sit for an hour or more to get out. chill out, don't head to your car right away. I am bringing my wife and kids back for the next night race.

Speedway is easy to find, lots of good highways to travel. Get prices and lots of thrills. Visit the garage area, get autographs. Great infield concerts.

We just attended our 1st Nascar race that was great! Although neither of our guys won, it was still exciting; especially for a meger race fan as I. The 7 car accident with only 11 laps to go took out my husband's driver, Kenseth. Parking, refreshments and return of rental equipment went very smooth.

We've been to other NASCAR tracks throughout the U.S. and I have to say this one is now our favorite. From the moment we got there, we were impressed with everything we saw. The parking lot is grass, but the parking attendants were great. They simply pointed us in the general direction of where we needed to park ....not like many of other tracks where they pack in the cars so tightly you can barely open your doors. There is a Hollywood Casino right on the property, which was nice because it gives you an alternative activity if you don't feel like tailgating. There were tailgaters, but not a crazy amount like some of the tracks we've seen. The clientle was a little more upscale than other tracks as well...the average fan was probably only missing one or two teeth instead of several. LOL
The track itself is only about 16 years old and is well laid out. Our seats were in Turn 1 and were great. Although based on the layout, I think we would have been happy sitting anywhere. The icing on the cake was when it was time to leave, it only took about 20 minutes which was terrific! A little bit of walking involved in getting from the parking lot to the track, but that is pretty typical.
We can't wait to go back to Kansas Motor Speedway!!

Went their to a car show and with the muscle cars on show was in heaven. I grew up loving mustangs and there were plenty of restored ones to whet my appetite.
Now to complete your day there is a casino on site.To tempt you even more they sell an all you can eat buffet. Good value for money

Traffic control was excellent. Volunteers were well trained.

First time in Kansas, first time attending a Nascar race, boy was I up for a treat that day. Plenty of parking spaces around, secure, lots of staff to assist you where you even get spoken to spontaneously and always in a friendly spirit. Security always kept a profesional and friendly attitude which I liked very much (mostly you get bullies doing this!). Prices were moderate at this facility and I can recommend everybody to take a track pass for Sunday's race, you won't regret what you will see and experience.
Tasted this once, now I am hungry for more!

Went to the October 21 playoff race, lots of good passing action. The concessions and bathrooms are OK, parking was free and easy to get out afterwards. The only complaint was the cold metal bench seating. We had a great time.

Aleays a great idea for car and racing enthusiasts. Go early and mingle through the vendor lot. We caught "our driver" giving a pre-race speech and Q&A, so in-field passes aren't always necessary to catch a closeup!

We traveled to Kansas Speedway for the fall Hollywood Casino 400 race on 10/18/2015. What a nice place and great area for a trip. Surrounding the track there is so much to do we should have spent an extra day. We purchased the VIP pre race tickets for the race and had one of the best experiences of our lives. We were able to have breakfast in the presidential suite, then off to the garage and pit area, then to the driver's meeting and were the last in line to fist bump all the drivers after the drivers intro's before they did their lap around the track before the race. We felt like VIP's for the day and were able to experience a once in a life time opportunity for us. I highly recommend not only seeing a race here, but if you can the VIP experience was top notch! Thank you Kansas Speedway!

Parking can be a little treacherous at times. I prefer to park by the T-Bones stadium. You can bring your own food and beer. Get there early if you want to see the infield concert.

Every seat on this track is a good seat. All of the food is good, and the bathrooms are well maintained. Parking after a heavy rain is not good, but the lot personnel was happy to push us out of the mud. We will always be season ticket holders at Kansas Speedway.

I loved the track. Everyone we met and dealt with at the track was great. Very friendly and helpful. This was our first visit and won't be the last!!!!
Great seats!

We attended a car show at the raceway and the infield easily accommodated the hundreds of cars that were on exhibit. It is conveniently located right next to the Legends shopping center and there is plenty of parking.

I have been to Texas, Kansas, Bristol and Brickyard. The racing in Bristol was the best, but overall, Kansas was better. Better in and out, better fan treatment, more fun before and after the race. The racing was good as Texas and the Brickyard, just not as good as Bristol. The locations to the center of the country is helpful, but, also the motel accommodations are closer and of a higher quality than other places. Oh yeah, they allow you to carry in your own food and beverage.
One bit of advice - don't get caught exchanging tickets and money on the property. The speedway has folks walking the grounds and they will tear up your tickets. It is ridiculous, but, it is the way it is. For example, if you buy 6 tickets and 2 friends are going to meet you at the track. Take care of the money transfer off site or a different time than when you hand the tickets over. Ridiculous.

We have been to the Kansas Speedway every year since it's opening in 2001. It is amazing how much changes year to year but it is for the good. We love the facility and the workers we have had interaction with are great. We have been season ticket holders since 2002. When there is an issue, you only have to text a number dedicated to the Speedway and help will arrive. The facility did a great job trying to weather the storm that happened over race weekend in May. I was also recovering from major surgery and the raceway has shuttles for those in need. My only problem was that there weren't more shuttle stops.
We will continue to be season ticket holders for the foreseeable future.

The Kansas Speedway is a wonderful family-oriented destination if you love car racing and excitement. It is a well run enterprise that puts the fans first and provide some type of action and food choices. Hint: unless you are in an enclosed suite, be sure to bring noise cancellation head phones.

Easy access in and out of Speedway for Nationwide and Sprint Cup races. Parking was very easy, plenty of portable johns in the parking areas for people that want to tailgate before the race. Very clean, very friendly staff at Track.

Great facility, free parking, guest oriented staff. The new home to the American Royal BBQ cook off - mmmmmmmmmmm.

As a NASCAR fan, we visit tracks when we travel the Country. Most of the tracks have some sort of tour, or small museum or at a minimum a small gift shop. Some have nothing, but at least open a gate so you can take pictures. Kansas Speedway does nothing. Stopped by in the middle of the day while driving on I-70 through Kansas and it was locked up tight. if you want to attract more fans, you have to give them something to look at when there is not a race. Just a missed opportunity for the Speedway.

First time at this track and enjoyed the venue and race! Very similar to the Charlotte 1.5 tri-oval......all seating appeared to be excellent. Sat in higher level seats between turn 4 and the start finish line.....could see entire track.

Richard Petty Driving Experience was thrilling. I went for the "ride-along" at 155 mph and that was plenty fast going up a banking curve three feet from a concrete wall. Long enough to feel I got my money's worth but short enough so that it was never boring. I arrived as soon as they opened, and there was a racing suit and car ready in less than 15 minutes from my arival. I am very glad I did it and my whole perspective about racing and races has changed.

Surrounded by great restaurants, casinos, event parks, soccer and baseball, and shopping, there is something for everyone here. The Speedway is great with excellent visibility. Plan ahead, and there are a lot of hotels nearby, but by race time, people are staying 15 miles away.
If you are not there on a race day, there is always the opportunity to drive a race car on the track yourself.

I got to check out the first race under the lights at the kansas speedway it was great .... the seats are wider and the cooler size bigger ..... don't worry about tickets I saw plenty of them for sale in the parking lot ...... first class facility ,,,..... use state ave for the best route inside

Had a really great time. This is our 2nd trip back. The staff is very friendly. Place is kept clean. The one down fall is, we stayed in a hotel with-in walking distance but was not allowed to. Looking forward to next years race.

One of many visits to this track.....still free parking! I will be back for the fall race as well.....GO Jr.!!

Kansas Speedway, like the Royals' and the Chiefs' stadiums, is a first-class facility built with the fans' enjoyment in mind! Parking is FREE! We were row 45, section closest to exit of Turn 4 and right across from pit row entrance. I'd recommend row 25-30 just to be a little closer to the action...BUT EVERY SEAT in EVERY SECTION is really the best seat in the house, it depends on your preference! YOU can see the entire 1 1/2-mile oval and follow your driver all the way around!! Truly great facility, you can bring a cooler full of beer or whatever, just no glass, and a backpack full of food!! Only NASCAR gives fans that priivlege!! Only good things to say about NASCAR & KC Speedway!

Attended the April 2012 race weekend and had a blast! I've been to the races at this track for the past several years with family and friends and each year they add more and more to the track, the race and the area. There's a new food vendor at the track called Que which has great BBQ and at a great price for a sporting event. The speedway is located right beside all the great shops at Village West, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Cabela's. There is a lot of traffic to deal with but that should be expected at any sporting event. (I've been to several types of events and there is always traffic issues!) The people that help with parking to the staff that are working inside the track at the vendors are always nice and friendly.

I went to Kansas Speedway for the Monster Cup race yesterday. I've been many times, but what stood out to me this time is the employees. I think everyone working there yesterday wanted to be there. It makes for a much better experience. The track is fast & drivers can run all 3 grooves. The food is good albeit pricey. I understand they only have 4 or 5 days a year to make big money.Be sure to bring a coat just in case. One final thing is if you get sick the medical staff will be right there.First class.

I think you really have to be into the NASCAR scene to appreciate it. The access and egress is complicated, but the cops do a good job of moving the traffic along. You are kind of far from the action and the clientele are interesting to be polite. Have to admit I am a F-1 fan and this is kind of a different schtick.

I have enjoyed many years of racing at Kansas Speedway. It is a fantastic location with close proxmity to I70. From the Parking/Tailgaiting to the Infeild fan walk this track was well designed and well staffed. I look forward to many more racing seasons here.

Easy to get to and from the track. Ample parking. Lots of restrooms! Very nice!

Kansas Speedway never disappoints. Well organized, volunteers guide motorists towards the vast, grassy parking spaces clearly marked with location markers that are illuminated at night. There isn't a bad seat in the place to smell the fuel, listen to the roar of engines reving (be sure to nring your ear plugs), and to watch the cars wiz by the grandstand at crazy speed. Equally entertaining are the videos produced in the fan area during downtimes and people watching. You will see the gammut of "die-hard" Nascar fans decked out in favorite driver gear alongside supportive family and friends desiring some together time. Pre-race entertainment are well known performers and the ability to thank and cheer on members of the armed forces serving at the track. Lay down some rubber, put down a seat cushion and bring a soft-sided cooler with your favorite drinks (no glass allowed) and let life pass you by at nearly 200 mph!

love to go there. the view is good from any seat and the seats (if you get in that section) are pretty comfortable. if you sit in the bleacher area there is acually leg room. great races.

The Kansas Speedway is a great place to watch races. I’ve been to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races, NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying, IRL Races, and ARCA races hear and love seeing all of them. Pretty much any seat gives you a good view of the entire track.

This was the first Sprint Cup race I've seen, although I've seen other races at Kansas Speedway. It's an outstanding venue - a tri-oval 1 & 1/2 mile long track, so to get the best view of the action on the opposite side of the track from the grandstands, it's best to sit up higher obviously. Friends and I were just there for the SpongeBob 400. We sat in row 27 right on turn 1 (tickets came from Kasey Kahne himself), and I loved the view, because we could easily see the start/finish line and had a clear, close view of the action for quite a span of the track. The seats in that area are aluminum bleacher seats (with backs), so bringing a cushion to sit on is not a bad idea. I'm not sure what the seats are like in other areas of the track. We also rented scanners (to listen to driver-crew conversations, broadcasts, other) for $50 incl. tax and we enjoyed listening to them; for that price you get a scanner and two headsets. Btw, be sure to take ear plugs if you don't use the scanner headsets. There are lots of excellent concessions (mostly ball park food - burgers, nachos, brats, etc.), and beer and liquor for sale. You can bring in a soft-sided cooler with anything you want in it, as long you don't have any glass containers. The concourse is very wide and comfortably accommodates the 100K+ size crowd. There is also merchandise sales - booths (for general items - Speedway, NASCAR, etc.) and individual driver trailers. I bought a fitted Speedway hat for $30 (a little steep maybe, but it's a fitted hat and very cool looking). Parking is free, but much of it is on grass fields. They're pretty flat, but if it rains a lot like it did for this race, you're going to want a 4-wheel drive vehicle (many people were stuck in the mud trying to leave). Tailgating/grilling is allowed. Getting in and out of the parking areas is well manned and organized I thought. Once inside, you may leave and come back as long as you have your ticket.

Great time at KC Speedway. Everyone is super helpful and very friendly! We love our time here every year. Keep it up!
First time ever in this kind of race, it is a lot of fun. I do not like to watch in tv but there is different, great view of the entire track and much more speed than I thought. Parking on Saturday for the Nascar/truck race was for free. I recommend to pay try the fanwalk, additional cost but worthy.
