Still The One...

I've lived in South Florida for a long time and many things have changed, and not all for the better. One thing that hasn't changed is driving out to Knaus Berry Farm and getting some deliciously decadent cinnamon rolls for the family. You have to time it right because there are days when the line is all the way out to 248th Street. The rolls are like always, warm and fresh and waiting to be devoured. But don't forget about the fresh baked breads and ridiculously good herb rolls. They also do pies, their own coffee, and fresh vegetables and strawberries. You can even get some pretty good milk shakes too. Forget the diet for one day. You owe it to yourself!

By Wanda T |

I first went there for the vegies but soon found out that wonderful smell was the attached bakery. The lines can go down the street with people waiting in line for them. You will find yourself buying more than a dozen and they do freeze really well.

By iamafairadvisor |

I have always loved their shakes and their buns. This time we picked tomatoes on their site. They were delicious and full of flavor. The price was good. For sure I will be back to pick tomatoes and of course have a shake and some buns.

I used to go here when the Amish owned and ran it. All of the baked goods were wonderful and they also had an assortment of fresh vegetables for sale. The shake shack outside used homemade strawberries and mango in their shakes. NO MORE. Don't know who owns it now but it is bad

By Leslie B |

Took a friend here to experience their "cinnamon buns..."
First, you are told that these folks are Amish...well they are not. So their costumes are for show.
Next, their prices are outrageous for folks on a budget.
The cinnamon buns at Publix Grocery/Bakery are not only better, but they are cheaper.
Rude staff, high prices?? Go elsewhere.

There is nothing like the cinnamon rolls and milkshakes from this great place. The wait is WELL worth it.

Great shakes!

By Debra A |

It’s worth the trip to get fresh home baked pies and sticky buns. The milk shakes are delicious. The only down side is the wait. The line up can be up to 2 hours depending on the day and time you go.

By redp0lst4r |

On the way from Miami to the Keys, we stopped by to get their famous sticky buns. A little out of the way but well worth it! Bread soft and moist, stickiness and sweetness just right, delicious! Easy to park on their lot, staff friendly!

Best Stop Down South

By Franklin P |

Best Berries, baked goods, fruits, veggies and herbs. Shakes and Ice Cream are second to none. Bring patience because the lines are long, but well worth it. I would make it a Land Mark. Thank you to all the Knaus family and friendly employees.

By Alberto M |

Is it worth the 45 minute line? Is it worth standing in light rain for them ? Is it worth the drive to get them ? Any and all obstacles are nothing compared to the taste of a gray cinnamon rolls at Knaus Berry. They are so delicious that they melt in your amount and the tastes of the natural flavors in your mouth and make you wanna have one and then another one and a third. They are the best cinnamon rolls ever !

By Louis R |

We've been enjoying their baking for many years but lately the lines are unbelievable. I'm glad for their success but I miss the days when you didn't have to spend hours waiting in line to get herb bread sticks.

By jessicamV7483MD |

Don't only enjoy the cinnamon rolls. They have awesome jelly and fresh bread. One of my favorite places but do it like a local and go during the weekday. The line on Saturday is killer.

By Mariangel O |

This place sells the most fresh homemade cinnamon rolls! Every year my family and I can't wait until "Fall" to have these, this place is a great ! The lines can get very long especially as you get closer to Christmas but definitely worth the wait. I typically go super early in the morning to avoid the lines. They sell other things too , fruit, pies , etc everything fresh. So if your ever in the Redlands area be sure to make a stop at Knaus Berry you won't regret!

By jesnel |

This is a place to stop by whenever you are in the Homestead area., only opens from Nov to April., but it is worth it., everything is of excellent quality and be ready to wait., sometimes you have 30-40 people ahead of you., so yes it is a definite place to come and buy cinnabuns, fresh strawberries., best ice cream in town..Enjoy!!

By TheTrueFLReview |

Love this little gem of a farm! Freshly made baked goods. The cinnamon rolls are delicious. I also enjoy picking my own tomatoes and strawberries. The staff is always nice and friendly. Side note - With so many people going hungry in the world, it does make me feel sad when I see the rotting fruit on the ground. While I do pick fresh off the vine, I also pick up some of the fruit off the ground that is still edible and buy that, too.

Get over the lines people

By lvosx |

Any good food nowadays is a wait! It is what it is and get over it! I grew up in Miami and live out of state now, but whenever I visit I always the trek for my rolls and jam. If you want to avoid the lines go late in the evening when there is now lines. Grab some jams while you wait as its better than supermarket especially the guava. Shakes are good too. If you think this is line try going to Franklin Bar B Que in Austin or any popular restaurants. Remember they only take CASH!!!

By Garethsc |

Farming done as it was 100 years ago. Pennsylvanian Dutch farmers that winter in S Florida. Everything produced here is awesome but the speciality is the baked goods. Try anything, you won't regret. Closed all summer

By Catherine M |

We love coming here with the kids at least once a year. This past December we came with the intention of picking strawberries, but it had been raining so much the fields were muddy. They do have strawberries for sale anyway in their store.
The baked goods are amazing. There is usually a line so prepare to wait, but it is worth it.
The shakes are also delicious. We usually make a day of it when we come down with the kids.
Make sure to bring cash.
Parking is available across the street when it gets busy.

By Eli C |

This place is famous for it's cinnamon buns. But everyone loves their milkshakes too. It's only open seasonal so people flock inherds while open. Everytime you go on the weekends the line makes it to the street but the wait is worth it. They also sell many other items like pies and home made jellies and they have fresh produce. They also have a you-pick strawberry field and tomoatoes. Highly recommended for everyone!

Warm cinnamon rolls

By Nik |

Went on a weekday due to reviews that reported long wait times. Walked right up to order cinnamon rolls and shakes. Yummy cinnamon rolls and they were still warm! Shakes good but could use more strawberries. Fun to visit such an iconic place!

By Lili Miami |

I loved the farm. The parking and the lines can be a discouragement to impatient people but if you plan your day, and arrive early, I don't see why it would be a problem. The Cinnamin rolls were so good that I'd wait an hour in line for it for sure. Also, their regular loaf bread is so good for sandwiches, French toast, or just toast. Amazingly soft and rich. We tried the shakes and they are so delicious. The whole atmosphere also contributed to the experience. My kids loved it.

By Christine C |

They are famous for their Jellies,Shakes and Cinnamon buns. You don't want to visit Miami and miss the opportunity of visiting Knaus Berry Farm. Everything is Absolutely amazing!!!

By Darren L |

We stopped while in the area to try the milk shakes. Within the group we got the cinnamon roll milkshake and a strawberry one. Both were great. We thought about trying the cinnamon rolls... but the line was very long and probably would have taken 45 minutes or more. Confirms the comments that you need to get their early in the day. Of note, this is primarily a 'farm stand' and 'u pick' location - so facilities like toilets are porta-potties.

Best cinnamon rolls.

By TioChema |

We had been going to this place for the last 6 years. You can get fresh vegetables, delicious cinnamon rolls and the best milkshakes. Parking and the long lines sometimes is an issue but it’s worth it.

Excellent as always!

By Sunshine Yellow |

Excellent as always! Went down this morning and arrived around 8:00am.and left with my cinnamon rolls and my herb rolls and a load of dilly bread around 8:50am. My family was thrilled with my surprise! I was thrilled to see that so.e good things stay the same!
REMEMBER: they only take cash and there are no cash machines anywhere close by.

By Gulfstreamer |

They come to south Florida every year and we love it. I live here all the time and we look forward to their return. They have the most fantastic sticky buns. Everyone loves them. I wish I could figure out how to have them year around.

By sararY4109UR |

Probably the best cinnabuns you will ever eat. They are a seasonal operation so are not opened year round. But when they are the lines are out the door and goes for hours. So it is one of the most popular places to visit in South Florida but it is well worth the visit.

By Melissa W |

They have the best cinnamon rolls and milk shakes around!!!! They also have different bakery items that are amazing. Everything is fresh and homemade

By Emiliaf49 |

This is a much loved place ,not only by me but by hundreds of people ,confirmed by the loooong lines if you get there on the weekends after 9 am or so...the BEST Cinnamon rolls with or without pecans , the best shakes ,fresh organic veggies .. Miami awaits eagerly for them to open in April until Oct or so ..another place not to be missed if you visit Homestead!

By ShastaCoGal920 |

Knaus' cinnamon rolls are amazing. I warn you, it's hard to eat just one! If you drive out for a visit (worth it!) you may have to wait in line, as this is a popular place! However, it's so worth the wait!
You can order them online now, which we have done, but the whole experience of the drive, the line, the smell of the baked goods baking and the cinnamon rolls right out of the oven...it shouldn't be missed.
The strawberry freezer jam is just like my grandmas used to make, very yummy! They have a lot of other baked goods and fresh produce as well, all of which is outstanding!
**Be sure to check the website though, as they are closed through the summer summer months!**

By southmiamijill |

While they're only open during their season (usually about the end of October through Easter) it's always fun to stop here. Their cinnamon rolls are famous and you can even just buy one (or a half or full dozen). So fresh, so hot, they can't even bag them for you, you'll get them on a cardboard box lid with a plastic bag to do it yourself later. They also have a separate window for ice cream and shakes. Don't wait in the bakery line if you only want ice cream! Come early or come late, but anytime in between on the weekend and you'll be in line for hours. Kids are welcome in their U-Pick field, which isn't always the case down here. Try their other baked goods too, from brownies to shoo fly pie. Oh, and angel food cake. MMM.

By Susana C |

My first visit was an experience. I got there around two p.m. All the "great and fabulous goodies" we're gone. I bought cinnamon rolls, brownie, dinner herb bread sticks and oatmeal cookies. Excellent, yummy. But I was disappointed that they were out of chocolate chip cookies, and anything with nuts. While waiting on line this gentleman told me that the normal wait is an hour, so I supposed I was lucky that I only waited 15 minutes. They are closed for the summer now.

By nestelluggybaby |

The only thing worth the line and waiting. Cinnamon buns. I would not go if it was not for our Church group going. Expensive produce and very long lines.

Great Food, you just gotta time it right

By Ryan R |

The food here is great, Cinnamon rolls especially, and the milkshakes are great. If you can go during the work day you stand a much better chance of missing the lines.

By 150mariselag |

It is run by family and it’s been in the business for over 50 years. They have great fruits, delicious baked goods and awesome shakes.

By Maria e M |

You better get there early, because you're gonna be in a long line.........but it is so worth the wait......the honey buns are still hot when you get them, unbelievably delicious.....finger licking good.......

Best Cinnamon Rolls in Florida

By David T |

A waitress at another local Homestead restaurant asked us if we had heard of Knaus Berry Farm when we told her we were from out of town. She warned us that the lines can get long, but said we had to go.

Luckily we followed her advice. There was a line of about 30 or 40 people waiting for the bakery when we got there. It moved quick though, with two cashiers taking and filling orders. A white board out front tells you what is in stock, and it is updated throughout the day as things sell out and more get baked.

The cinnamon rolls are everything that you have heard. Incredible, hot out of the oven, and still incredible the next morning for breakfast. They are cash only and I didn't see an ATM on the premises, so get some on the way there. It's worth it.

Oh my, the cinnamon rolls were awesome!!!!

By 646beverleyk |

This place was recommended to us by someone that use to live in this area and visited this place frequently. She told us we had to try the cinnamon rolls. You could purchase 1 or as many as you wanted. The price was very reasonable for homemade cinnamon rolls. There was all kinds of fruits, vegetables and milkshakes at this location. We did not purchase any fruit/vegetables since traveling although many people were leaving with many of these purchased items. Definitely worth a side trip if you have time.

Knaus Berry Farm

By 387indy |

These 'Trick or Treats', will cost you $11. a dozen, says the menu on the giant chalkboard. They have a great staff . This 62 year old business shuts down for the summer months, then reopens with its sticky, warm cinnamon rolls. Oh! They are a very good treat.

I've been coming here since I was little and used to love it but it's popularity has gotten out of control. This year I tried to come several times on the weekends only to be greeted with ridiculously long lines. People were saying they waited 2 hours. The line going out to the street. I mean they are good but to drive so far south and wait that long, it just wasn't worth it to me.

I ended up going on a Wednesday at 1 pm and still waited 30 minutes. The rolls came out fresh and were delicious. The strawberry jam had some mold inside which I cleaned up but tasted good. And the shakes are good as usually. I had a vanilla, coconut, and wanted to try a pumpkin to be different. I didn't like the pumpkin at all. To the point I took one sip and went back to ask for another milkshake. They could see it was full but said they couldn't change it. I don't see why not. I guess because they are so popular they feel like they can set their own rules. Ooo and bring cash they don't accept credit cards.

Unfortunately one of my old favorite spots has put a bad taste in my mouth between the waiting times and my experience with the milkshakes. I've been coming for years but think they need to think of a better way to move people through and some better service on the shakes. They are good but for the hassle to get there I'll take some time off.

Burrs berry farm is nearby and the shakes are just as good.

By EAaroundtheWorld |

You can't miss it if you're in the Redlands, Florida area! They are famous for their sticky buns, but their shakes are so good too and deserve to be mentioned. Located on a u-pick style farm, Knaus Berry Farm has been a south Florida staple for many years. They sell fresh produce too! They are seasonal, so they only open during the Florida agro season (Nov. - Apr.). If you're visiting on a weekend, come very early or you'll be waiting in a line for hours and they may run out of sticky buns! Best times to visit are midday on the weekdays. Try odd hours so you miss the traffic. FYI - they are German Baptist, not Amish ;).

By alycar |

Robert is here, is a great place to get fresh fruits and exotic fruits not found in the grocery store. They make really good salsa and guacamole, and the best shakes, with so many flavors to choose from. My favorite is mamay. There is also a huge variety of jams and pickles. They also have a petting zoo for kids. You can never go wrong at the store.

By Jacquelyn W |

I probably would've given this place 5 Stars if I didn't have to wait so long. Why don't they hire more staff? The cinnamon buns are pretty good, but I personally prefer the ones that I get from the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair. It's worth a visit.

By Shelly S |

We went there on a Saturday and they sold out of the cinnamon buns so we went back on Monday morning. My husband does not usually like sweets but the cinnamon rolls came right from the oven and my husband ate it in a few bites. Delicious cinnamon buns and the mountaineer bread was great.

Outrageous, hot and fresh cinnamon rolls!

By tbecerra1922 |

Here in Miami we call it the Amish Farm but it's really run by German Dunkers that are baptist. Knaus Berry Farm makes the most delicious fresh and warm cinnamon rolls and locals drive from all around to get them! They also make fresh strawberry shakes from the berries they grow right there. It's a great day outing for families and kids love it. I promise you that if you make the drive down to Homestead you won't be sorry, it's so worth it!

By kim h |

There is nothing bad to say about this place, sticky honey buns are to die for, great picking of fresh fruits and veggies.
Sadly they close during the summer, but the wait is worth it for the fall.
Great fresh bread every day.

By aterrell5595 |

We drove all the way down from West Palm Beach as the app said they were open, but closed until late October. Can't wait to come back and check them out!

By Pineapples-a-Plenty |

Knaus has been known to us since moving to Miami 21 years ago. FINALLY we have gone, and only wish we had made the effort sooner! This is a fantastic trip for visitors, and locals alike. An adventure to experience Homestead, and to visit Knaus Berry Farm.

The line was a little intimidating, but it moved really fast. We were inside in about 10 to 15 minutes, and absolutely worth the wait!!! Their menu consists of the most delicious cinnamon rolls ever tasted! This is a fact ... eat them immediately while they are hot. It is inevitable that they will send you into orbit!

We got a loaf of grain bread. It, too, was great. Their key lime pie is delicious, too. The whole setup is pretty amazing. A small retail shop, run efficiently, with a very friendly and helpful staff. We had a fantastic experience, and highly encourage all to take this stop in on a planned visit to Homestead.

A fascinating legacy behind this family who came here in the 30's to farm in the winter, then go back north to farm in the summer. They built large, two-sto
ry classic homes, one of which is no longer family owned, but lies just east of the business, the other where they live now. Great breads and fresh fruits.Friendly people whose lives testify to their faith
I was raised next door

By SUSANA E |

First of all, the sticky buns are to die for. The sad part is they are only opened a few months out of the year. the lines are long, so get there early! Best Guava Jelly ever!!!!!

Cinnamon buns are always delicious

By Gail R |

Only disappointment this trip was like every place else, the prices have increased. Variety of items seemed less, but perhaps it was that time of year.

By Krystlelove |

The cinnamon buns, jellies and shakes are the best! The u-pick strawberry lady, not so much. I got yelled at because my 2-year-old picked strawberries and did not place them in the right container. Lighten up!

By Luis R |

I went on Tuesday november 22 at 8:45 got out 1:00 pm , BAD service only two cashiers to take care of people , they should put more cashiers on holidays season ; we love the cinnamon rolls not the wait time .

By Lisp P |

If you were born and raised in South Florida you can relate to the nostalgic feeling you get when you come here. No matter what time of the day - there's always a long line for great quality of foods. Since I was young to becoming a mommy, I love this place and take my kids for strawberry picking, milkshakes, delicious bakes and enjoy the relaxing breeze. We'll be back as soon as it opens. Counting the days.

By T2Socks |

I have heard about this place before and this trip I made a point to stop in for a pie. I got the raspberry pie and I was not disappointed. This pie WAS amazing. WAS because I ate the whole thing in a weekend and I am not a huge pastry person. They are cash only so be sure to hit the ATM before you go.

Yes, I will make this a regular stop when in the area.

By ajcatt |

5 stars on the bakery, but overall, the length of time it takes to get to it takes a star away. The cinnamon buns are the best ever, and the pies are unreal good.

By Renny D |

First off they don’t take card payment, only cash. Considering there is no ATM around and you could only realize about it when you are 5 feet away from the entrance is a reason to get angry.
However the garlic and herbs bread and the cinnamon rolls are to die for. Will update about their cherry pie and pecan brownies. The produce is fresh and you can also pick up some of them.
Do not expect low prices, I spent almost $30 for 5 products.

By Maria R |

If you love fresh baked goods, then this is the place to go. They also have fresh fruit and vegetables and good shakes.

By countryfried81 |

This place has the best cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, and shakes. My wife love to take our families there when they visit. It was the first place we took our son after he was born. But get there early or you will be waiting in a line of who knows how many people. Ive seen over a hundred people in line before. Locals bring folding tables and chairs its like a tailgate party sometimes.

By journey_in_wander |

The cinnamon rolls are famous and the lines can be long, but sooo very worth it. They are baked fresh, onsite everyday. They are truly amazing and I buy a couple dozen to freeze and eat later. They also have milkshakes, fresh local produce, different fresh breads and a variety of jams and jellies.

By Crystal I |

You need these cinnamon rolls in your life! Now! Worth the wait in line if there is one and the produce is fantastic as well.

By tomatomomma |

We stopped here early on Saturday morning to get some cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and we were not disappointed. Although we had to wait in quite a long line, it was worth it. The cinnamon rolls were delicious, and we also got some herb rolls for a picnic lunch later that day. If you wanted to get fresh fruits and vegetables you could get those there as well, and we bought a pack of delicious strawberries.

By Allie W |

The menu and selections are Great! Was a little crowed but the service and food was great! Would recommend it for everyone. People friendly place and it's safe and clean.
Nice clean produce and a very nice menu of foods and drinks. Love the shakes!

Go for the Cinnamon Rolls

By D B |

OMG the most awesome cinnamon rolls. Not neceassiarly a place you would know about - found by accident, so glad we did!

By Julie |

love coming here! get the milkshake (strawberry is my fav here) and the cinnamon buns. don't just get one take some home b/c you will want more! they are definitely best fresh but if you need to you can freeze them if you live far or are from out of town. they still taste pretty good. such a treat when i visit my hometown. they sell other things like pies and brownies which are just okay but locals get the shakes and cinny buns. there are no animals to see or anything but they sell produce. call ahead for their hours b/c they are closed part of the year.

By stoneiam |

There are so many reasons to go here (I've been doing it for 30+ years).

1. Strawberry milkshakes
2. Fresh Strawberries and Tomatoes
3. Sticky Buns
4. Other baked goods
5. Fresh Jam
6. Other fresh vegetables

So, some people might complain that they run out of baked goods or berries, etc. Well, yes, this will happen. Everything is made by hand on the farm. There are only so many hours in the day and so much can go through the bakery. Go early is my recommendation.

Others might complain about the lines being too long. Simple solution here as well. Breathe. There is fresh air around you. Put your cell phone down, and just talk to your family and enjoy being on a farm. Enjoy the outdoors. Don't be impatient, the rewards at the front of the line is worth it.

Key lime shakes

By Scott T |

So, if you’ve checked the reviews then you know this place is known for their cinnamon rolls. Well, they are good and they are priced to sell!
However, I must say that what my wife and I were really blown away by was the key lime shake!
We had shakes a few different places, but this was our favorite.

By Robyn P |

The reviews of this place led us here, and we're very glad they did! Like others have mentioned, you do have to queue for the bakery, but the cinnamon rolls are worth it! Ours had been out of the oven for no more than a minute; they were crazy fresh and melted in your mouth. One per person is definitely enough though!
As good as the rolls were, our favorite purchase by far were the strawberries! Just devine! Unbelievable really, considering we were there on December 28th!

By CRBUSAF |

We did pick some strawberries but we were really there for the sticky buns. It was hard not to eat them on the way home. The other bread products are excellent and the milk shakes are sinful.

By Dulce |

Pecan rolls are delicious. fresh, hot and full of flavor.. Went early on a monday barely a line, so it was just perfect. The smell alone made my mouth water.

By Bonniesal |

Everybody loves Knaus Berry farms cinnamon buns and home picked strawberries...so when we made our wedding goody bags we only put in the best! Since we were in Homestead for the wedding...well...Such a great reception from everyone. Many people don't know you can place an order and have it ready for you (you still have to wait in line, and not available on Saturdays) but we pre-ordered and picked up Friday morning with no wait at all.

By Dali82 |

Ive been coming to Knaus Berry farm every year for almost 20 years, and it never gets old. The cinnamon buns are ooey, gooey, and oh so good. I really enjoy their shakes, herb rolls and various other items. Ive never had something and regretted it. I recently tried their coffee, (Bald Bakers) and it was great. I like my coffee medium to bold, and it didnt dissapoint. You can't go wrong with a visit here. Yes, the lines are insanely long some days, especially on weekends and around holidays. If you can manage to come mid -week there is usually little to no wait at all. They only accept cash, which I believe, helps keep that old time Florida feel and avoids the greedy frok buying up a truckload of rolls at once. Although i have seen folks walking out with 8 dozen at once! Anyway, make a trip here and enjoy- you won't be sorry.

By ExtraUnderwear |

PROS: The cinnamon rolls were good, they only cost $10.50 for a dozen, which isn’t bad considering the place’s popularity and the drive to the farm was incredibly relaxing.

CONS: The lines for this place are a bit much. The cinnamon rolls are good but they’re not THAT good. Go early on a Tuesday to avoid the crowds.

By cristina g |

I go there quite often, mostly for my fix: strawberry milkshake! It's super delicious!
There's always a long line for their cinnamon rolls, especially on Friday and Saturday... Good to have sometimes, but really sweet!!!!! Best to eat this the same day!
I enjoy having the blueberry cheesecake, nice and smooth.
Fresh local fruit and vegetables, also great herbs if you're lucky and they don't sell out.
Go there during week days , 10.30 AM is a good hour! No crazy lines and plenty of breads and cinnamon rolls .
It's close to my house,so I shop there once or twice a week.

By Tanisia A |

Whenever I visit Miami from NY, I make the trip from Kendall area- at least twice- to taste their super delicious mango shake. They grow their own mangos and therefore the taste is out of this world!! I've been told strawberry is the most popular flavor, so I switched once from my mango madness and if you love mangos like I do- don't switch it's too amazing!! My family loves their cinnamon buns but I could pass on these and have a bigger shake instead. Out of this world milkshakes!

By Jemmie33063 |

all the reviews that speak well if Knaus berry farm are correct. even though there are long lines for the bakery and the ice cream, it is worth the wait. the cinnamon rolls are delectable. the bread and cookies are also outstanding. the produce selection was limited the day we visited but it was fresh and looked beautiful.
it is worth the trip if you like baked goods and berries.

By Yesenia R |

These cinnamon rolls are worth the wait. When you get them they are warm, soft, and sticky. They have strawberry milkshakes that are to die for and other delicious goodies like their black bottom cake and their amazing cheese bread. I would recommend going during a school day because the lines are much shorter in comparison to the weekend. They are seasonal so they are usually open from early November to mid April. I recommend checking out their Facebook page to see when they are open.

By Charles H |

We usually spend the winter in south Florida and Knaus Berry Farm is outstanding. This year we have been dismayed by the lines. Their bakery is outstanding but over a hour for loaf of grain bread and two sticky buns, no thanks. Good news is there is never a line for produce. Milkshakes are also wonderful but again not worth a wait for me. Expect very long lines Friday, Saturday, holidays. We like during the week as we get bakery, produce, and milkshakes. Their strawberries are the best we have had anywhere. Cherry tomatoes are so sweet that when we have fruit in the mornings they are added too.

Cinnamon rolls!!

By Tony S |

I saw a review that said that they had the best cinnamon rolls and man were they right. Delicious. There were four of us so we bought a dozen. Probably one of the best I have ever had. They also make milk shakes and ice cream sundaes. The strawberry milkshake was delicious. Worry about your diet another day and indulge your self.

By Baylor L |

Knaus Berry Farm serves food and drinks, but does not have a proper restroom. They have a couple of port a potties, but nowhere to change children, nowhere suitable for handicapped, no indoor plumbing for use by patrons. Sam &Philly's up the road a little ways, has a fully-functioning, clean, indoor restroom with changing table.

By Jrprez |

Wonderful bakery with lots of delicious treats. Of course they are famous for their cinnamon rolls, but everything I've had from here is wonderful. I especially like their homemade breads, pies and yummy shakes.

They are only open seasonably Nov - April, from 8 - 5:30pm. Be prepared to stand in long lines.

By jgarcia0980 |

Love this place! Milkshakes and cinnamon rolls are the best. For those looking for a "real farm" (horses and cows) this is not the place. Also you're not the first person to hear of this place so if you come on weekends it's going to be busy, that's just how it goes. If you come during the week no lines. Great place, come here at least twice a month

By jadejoann4 |

this place has the best sticky buns in the state. As you proabbably know, the lines get LONG so try to go before 3 pm on weekdays. thats your best bet. Also, its seasonal so it opens a week or so before thanksgiving and closes the week of Easter. Try their guava pie. Its really good.

By dan0767 |

We lived in Miami in the 70a and my mom would bring the cinnamon rolls home as a treat. They're just as good as I remember. They're not sickening sweet as the big names, but much better. You can tell they're made with 💘. The pecan mixture on the bottom is delicious. The store is a throwback to simpler times when real caring went into everything people made. Try the shakes. I had the best pineapple shakes I've ever had. Again they are natural and not overly sweet...just delicious.

By Joe |

My family stopped here recently having heard about the cinnamon buns. They were delicious and are well worth the drive from afar to enjoy. I have a sweet tooth and can tell you that these are very high on the list for awesome buns ! We will be back when in the area.

I mean... an hour line for baked goods

Knaus Berry Farm is a victim of its on success. Certainly if you live in the neighborhood or are going to the Redlands for the day, and you are lucky enough to hit it when the line is not ridiculous, go ahead and get some baked goods.
If you want to go get the very limited choices of produce or u-pick strawberries, go ahead. Long gone are the Amish founders. I'm not a big fan of cinnamon buns, but the rest of my family feels they have had better in other bakeries. As far as the baked goods, they are ok, but so many other bakeries in town.

By mlaneve |

Well worth the wait for the cinnamon buns and other bakery items.... try a fresh milk shake while you are waiting in line. Try going during the week instead of on Saturday when the lines are the longest

By GFLohio |

Visited this family owned farm yesterday based on a Visitor Guide while exploring the area. Difficult to find a parking spot in this busy place. Seemed to be many people U-picking tomatoes, but the shop offered a small collection of fresh fruits and vegetables, which all looked good. The real attraction seemed to be the bakery, which was mobbed with folks purchasing homemade bread, pies and the amazingly fresh and still warm cinnamon and pecan rolls that we purchased and enjoyed with our coffee today, and the fresh, thick frothy milkshakes. My key-lime milkshake was over the top yummy and my husband declared his chocolate one good too. A large milkshake was $5.55, which was $1.10 less expensive than offered at the Robert is Here stand, down the road. Wish this place was closer to us. I'd be back often!

By Elaine R |

you are in the area, this is an obligatory stop. The line for the baked goods can be VERY long...go early or on a weekday but definitely NOT on Sunday! The owners are Amish, so it is closed. We went on early Saturday afternoon around 1 PM- the line was about a 20-30 minute wait which wasn't too bad in comparison.... spend the time buying fresh produce (we got the BEST fresh beets, grape tomatoes, lettuce and spring onions. Sadly, it was too early for strawberries!) and enjoying a mango/coconut milkshake, for which they are justly famous. When we finally got to the clunter, of course we had the cinnamon buns (outstanding- super fluffy dough!!) but they were out of the bread we wanted. But we bought the pullman bread (half wheat, half white) which was delicious and some bread sticks with cheese. The array of baked goods is stunning- pies, cakes, jams, jellies- go hungry1

A Long Tradition of Homestead

By CharlieHudson |

Knaus Berry Farm is another of the seasonal places in what is known as Redland. This is a major agricultural area that has significantly grown in attraction as part of agri-tourism. The cinnamon rolls at Knaus are quite famous and people stand in line for literally an hour or more. It has been family run since 1956 and generally opens the last part of October.

By Melanie D |

I've been getting Cinnamon rolls from here since I was a kid.. They are fresh, hot, and mouth watering. Everyone is so nice there. My kids beg me to go when they are open. I highly recommend it!

World Famous Cinnamon Rolls

By Asher Rost |

Gooey and delicious. Get there early before 9 am, as there's a long line for the bakery. Well worth it!

By epuya |

There were lines for the bakery, and shakes. There was no line for the produce.
The lines were long. We did not stand in them Inside the building there was produce. People were out in the field picking fruit. We are told that the cinnamon rolls are worth the wait. The Knaus brothers started the business in the 1950's. They must be doing something right.

By Deblissta |

Went early Friday morning on their last weekend in SF. Got some wonderful cinnamon rolls and some bread pudding and a few greens. Always the best the the rolls freeze very well. I was a hit at the office.

Interesting destination

By Linda K |

There was more bakery action the day I went than strawberry picking.. but fresh yummy place Purchased some very tasty tomatoes among other items

By dman457 |

We bought the large bag of quality lettuce and it was only $1.75. There are separate lines for produce, bakery and the ice cream shop.

Milk shake was just OK. The ones at Phil's Berry Farm down the road are much better.

By kriswalk |

The food here is AMAZING!! If you arrive, and the line is long...WAIT IN IT!! It's HIGHLY worth your time!

By DonnaAJ |

This place is famous for their fresh fruit milk shakes and cinnamon buns. However, MY favorite is their herbed breadsticks. All their baked goods are A+, as are the fresh fruits, vegetables and jellies that they sell freshly made or picked from their farm (but you won't find any bargains here). You generally have to wait in line to purchase the baked goods, but it is well worth the wait.

By Jason F |

You ever drive by a place and wonder what all these people are standing in line thinking. Well here at Knaus berry they are all thinking CINNAMON ROLLS!!!! These are the biggest hit in SoFL

By Dominique D |

Took a trip from Northern broward yesterday and it was worth the drive. I have not been to Knaus Farm since I was a kid and the place has changed quite a bit. the inside has changed. I will return back in January so I can get some strawberries for my children. I had the pleasire

By brunipurcell |

We go every year, as soon as they arrived we all txt each other. The cinamon rolls are amazing!!! Once you are there try the shakes. Really good!!! During the weekend sometimes there's a long waiting line. Go very early or latter in the afternoon.

By Linda G |

We use to visit the berry farm when my husband was stationed there 37 years ago. I was hesitant to go back fearing it had changed. However to our great delight the cinnamon rolls are as delicious as ever. We also bought an angel food cake that is the best I have had, and two loaves of bread.
Purchased some beautiful corn that we're saving for Sunday dinner.

By Joeluba |

I have been going down to Homestead to eat here for well over 30 years. Now i take my teenage kids as it is their favorite place to go out for a family outing. THE BEST Cinnamon rolls ever. Warm just made there isn't any better. Be sure to have a strawberry shake. Take home a cheesecake chocolate bottom cake. If you go to the keys and you pass by Homestead, you will remember this visit. Only negative, its no longer a secret, long lines.

By VictoriaPrice |

Best cinnamon rolls you will probably ever have! They have many other delicious baked goods, milkshakes, and fresh picked local strawberries! The lines that this place accumulates speak for the deliciousness!! People wait hours! I highly recommend making your visit, BUT on a morning during the week to try and beat the line.

By Ld L |

A place to buy great tasting pastries and fruits. Great strawberry milkshakes. Famous for their cinnamon rolls and their mountain bread.

This aint rock and rolls

By Cuisinartisan |

I just hate to give the Berry Farm a poor review. It's a marvelous bakery. My review is based on a recent visit during the Thanksgiving break. The gist of it is that we waited 6 hours in line under a scorching sun. 6 hours! We got there and parked at 8am and left right around 2:15pm. It was pure and unadulterated misery. Phone orders? I called. Nah, not for their signature product, cinnamon rolls. This is not for the fainthearted. There were very elderly people in line, octogenarians; many left after a couple of hours under the sun. A few folks in front of me a pregnant woman was feeling dizzy and had to go take a break in the AC of her car. I'm surprised the emergency services didnt show up at some point. And it's absurd; it just isnt necessary. There are many options at the farm's disposal, including on line sales and timed entry tickets. They can even have separate lines (small vs large sales for instance). I will never do this again, no matter the number of promised I've made to get the products. It's just abuse, borderline mercenary.

By acedaughter |

We were surprised to see such a crowd on a Friday morning, but after tasting the strawberries and cinnamon rolls, we know why! The tomato bread was also delicious!

By Didirez |

The best place ever,I dont even mind the lines when they open because I know its great quality, the best strawberry shakes and buns in town.

By Pedro F |

This is always a great place to visit with the family. The weather is nice and it's always nice to see other families and their dogs. Their sticky buns are always awesome.

Cinnamon Rolls

By Ramon R |

This place has been here for years. People travel all over the place for the rolls....BUT....the line is over 2 hours!!! You think that with the business they have they would hire more people to expedite the wait.
Very disappointed on the wait and the rolls have declined in taste. Would not do this again. There are a lot of bakeries that have better rolls. Don't get caught up on the hype.

By KMestre |

The temptation of Knaus Berry Farm's warm, gooey cinnamon bun any time of the day is tough to beat. The scent of their warm cinnamon rolls floats through the air of their berry farm and instantly transports you to a happy place.

Knaus Berry Farm will blow your mind with their cinnamon rolls, milkshakes, bread, cookies and jam! So what's their secret sauce? Everything is fresh and baked to be sold that day, so arriving early is key if you want to get a nibble of everything on their menu. Items run out, so arriving early is recommended. Don't be intimated with the crowd of Knausie's (Knaus Berry fanatics), the Disney-like line is worth every second of the wait!

The actual store is quaint and reminded me of a mom and pop store with fresh produce, genuine service and a sweet smell that will drive your senses wild!

My Knaus Faves:
~Cinnamon Buns melt in your mouth, tantalize your taste buds and have the perfect amount of oOoey gOoey cinnamon!! Best cinnamon bun EVER!

~Milkshakes are a deliciously creamy with the most perfect texture. You can't leave Knaus Berry Farm without tasting one of their true American classics - strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. The Knaus milkshakes have the power to transport us back to the diner days or hot summer afternoons!

~Jam is freshly made with ingredients grown on the farm! The strawberry and guava jams will make you never want to buy jelly from the grocery store again!

~Bread is soft when you pick it up and will be softly delectable even a week later! My favorite bread is their artisan cheese bread!

Knaus Berry Farm will become your next GUILTY PLEASURE... I promise! :-)

By Carolina R |

We went there in the morning. It was easy to find a parking lot because the line moves fast. We made like a 4 people line. The fresh baked cinnamon rolls were scrumptious ! And they were warm. The lady at the counter was very kind and she answered all of our questions. We also tried the brownies and they were good too. But go there to grab a warm cinnamon roll for sure. But you may not resist to the other temptations!

Interesting bakery and produce stand

By Ken G |

Advised to try this for the cinnamon rolls and strawberries.
Line for the bakery was too long for us to wait so didn't try the cinnamon rolls but they looked and smelled great.
Got a strawberry milk shake for the road and it was very good, rich thick lots of strawberries in it.
Produce looked good but with just one display case, its not a store for shopping a multitiude of various items, just pick what you want from the produce case, go to the strawberry counter and get howeer many pints of strawberries (which look pretty good btw) you want and go.

By LilyC2006 |

Yes, some of the reviews indicate that this not an actual "farm." It is not an actual farm, though they do have tomatoes and strawberry pickings. Come early because the lines are long, and yes they are slow, and only bring cash. Their shakes are wonderful. They sticky buns and any and all of their baked goods are fresh and always delicious. Their jams are superb. It is quite a trek from almost anywhere else except the homestead area. It is well worth the trip, at least one time in your life. If you plan accordingly, you can even bring a camp chair so you can sit out by your car and enjoy the meal. Warning: they are closed on Sundays and are only open seasonal (October - March). I hear they now take internet orders for certain products.

Strawberry Milkshakes

By Rebecca M |

Skip the cinnamon buns and order the strawberry milkshakes. Pick the strawberries and purchase fresh veggies!

Destination for Cinnamon Rolls

By Dorathy T. Smith |

This is a great place to take small children to. They can run around and pick strawberries, and eat delicious cinnamon rolls afterwards. Cinnamon rolls are very very good!

If you go in December, especially couple of weeks around Xmas, you will have to wait in line for AT LEAST 1 hour.

By macktravel2016 |

Awesome cinnamon rolls. Line is long, get there early. Milkshakes made with fresh fruit, very yummy.

By fcgg |

I have tried buying rolls here four times, and have managed to achieve it only once.
They are not open all year long, so I have missed the open dates twice, and when open, there are really long lines.
Everybody talks about their cinnamon rolls; but I prefer their pecan rolls. They are both amazing... but, if you like pecans, go for the pecan rolls. Just like donuts, if you manage to not eat them all at once, you can reheat them in the microwave for 10 seconds, and they will be almost as good as same day.
Enjoy!!

By Don W |

By trusting tripadvisor, we made the sojourn through wonderful farming country to Knaus Berry Farm. The cinnamon buns alone are well worth the trip. However, their peanut-chocolate chip cookies were wonderful. We were probably the only folks boarding the launch to Sunset Key that day that were clutching a sugar stained brown paper bag of buns.

By William M |

Of course, the place is known for the cinnamon rolls, and should be, since there's none like them. I work just down the street. You would have had to wait HOURS before New Years to get them (I'm not kidding!) but now, toward the end of January, the rolls are just as good, and there's no waiting. Call me impatient: there's just NO food I'd wait 2 hours to get! Try 'em now

Great place

By Christina H |

Everything is great here. You have to get a fresh bun and milkshake. Only problem which is not really a problem is they are not open year round and there are always lines for anything.

By hairyainu |

Local residents wait impatiently for this oasis from the world's madness to open each year. Closed from April til October, the wait only intensifies the pleasure when they open. Everyone knows about the cinnamon rolls but the pecan rolls are almost heavenly. The staff and the attitude of the customers are calming. The only problem is deciding what to buy. The quality and home goodness can Not be compared. After the bakery and the produce section try the ice cream and shakes. Vanilla like I have Never tasted. Raspberry that is a perfect balance between sweet and Fresh. A Must try!

By Leanne |

Been here a few times. Waited in line and gone right in. Shakes are fantastic and there are so many baked goods to choose from!!! Cinnamon rolls are the star attraction and we definitely tasted why!! I really need to get back and pick-up a shoo-fly pie!!!

By Caymandiver |

Great buns and shakes but try to avoid days prior to Holidays can be a 4 hour wait in a line around the property.

By cdc102 |

I don't live in Homestead anymore, so it's more difficult to get down there as much as I would love too...but try at least each season to buy the Cinnamon Rolls and have atrawberry shake...last time I went it was before the strawberry season, so will be back soon for that!

By TheExoticAdventurer |

We came here on a Saturday after reading about it online the night before. It's out in the middle of Redland. We were surprised to see how many people were here. The line stretched all the way across the parking lot. We first picked some strawberries and tomatoes in the U-Pick garden and we then waited in line for the cinnamon rolls. It's a pity we waited till we got home to try them. We would have bought a truckload of them! They were AMAZING! Super soft and delicious!

By James S |

My friends have been raving about this Mennonite bakery and produce stand in Homestead for years. I finally went on the trek with them.
First off we went on a Saturday and the wait for wait for their famous cinnamon rolls was 45 minutes to an hour in line (I'm told over Christmas the wait can be four hours). I thought this was crazy to wait in such an endless line for a cinnamon bun - but once I tasted their fresh hot cinnamon buns I was hooked! There is nothing like them - they are amazing!
I left with a pecan pie, jellies, tomatoes and strawberries. Everything was amazing!

BEST CINNAMON ROLLS IN TOWN

By Elizabeth Guerrero Miami Realtor |

I love to make the line to get their delicious cinnamon rolls. They melt in your mouth. Every year I go with my family and friends.

By MiamiMike89 |

If you love locally grown, fresh fruits and vegetables, and like to get your hands dirty, this is the place for you. Knaus Berry Farm has been feeding the folks of South Florida for generations. But the reason most people go are for the milk shakes and fresh baked sticky buns.
If you like knowing where your food comes from and like to get your hands dirty, they have pick our own strawberries and tomatoes. A perfect day out without busting the budget. Kids love picking their own veggies, even if they don't eat them.

By jerirp |

This is a must visit. You should know that you can't be on a diet when going to this place. The bakery, cinnabuns and milkshakes are what dreams are made of. You can pick your own strawberries and other seasonal veggies. Get there early or you will wait a lifetime but it is sooo worth it!

The baked goods had better be good to justify this kind of wait

By mdiv2001 |

We came for the shakes in order to compare them with Robert Is Here. Knaus Berry Farm is just not as good. They use a soft-serve base for their shakes and offer less in the way of fruit options. It was good, but it wasn't as good. Note that the shake counter is cash only.

But if you want the fruit stand or the baked goods, be prepared to wait well over an hour. There is a separate line for shakes, so we did not need to wait. But if you wanted fruit, or cinnamon rolls or pies, then the wait was outrageously long.

By rward2121 |

Our short visit included having a strawberry shake and buying some cinnamon rolls. Both were very good. The people were nice, and the food was delicious and fresh. The place sparkled with cleanliness, it was very nice.

Disappointed

By Yaritza E |

The ice cream is good, but I not think that they have to charge in order to enter and buy ice cream, last time I when which was October 2021 I only wanted to buy the ice cream, not take pictures with the decorations..that's why I'm rating as low..I'll suggest that if they want to keep local people , like me going and enjoy their food , at least make a drive thru spot so we can enjoy it..thanks..I really need to write this

By travelingfool49 |

I had a lovely strawberry sundae, complete with fresh strawberries mounded over the lip of the cup. The parking lot was very busy, but the wait was not long. Worth the stop!

You have to Visit Knaus Berry Farm

By tDani |

Fun, Excellent treats, milkshakes and sundaes are to die for, fresh produce, you wont regret it! Put it on your to do list

By Paul h |

Ask any local about this place open only from Mar to October (I think) The lines are usually out the door so come early or plan to wait in line. Even if you come early there may be a line. The coffe cake honey rolls are the best in the land. There is absolutely nothing to dislike except the huge crowds that flock here.

By 2old2work |

I am not able to review this business because it is currently closed and will remain closed until October 27, 2015. The hours listed are incorrect.

By Heiko |

We did not pick berries outselves, but the milkshakes sold there were amazing, highly recommended!

The actuel picking is not spectaculair, but all fruits are fresh of the field.

By Shar23 |

I saw this on Trip Advisor and thought it would be a nice stop for a snack on our way to Key West. Our GPS seemed to take us more out of the way than it appeared and my husband grumbled about the detour. The building didn't look like much but I'd read about the cinnamon rolls so I stood in a short line for them while my husband stood in a short line at a trailer for a milk shake. The baked goods all looked amazing and while I wanted to try more we were traveling so I just ordered two cinnamon rolls. They were only $1.10 each and were given to me in a cardboard basket. We sat on a bench outside and both agreed they were the best rolls we've ever had. Warm and just the right amount of gooey caramel on top! The chocolate milkshake was really good, too, tasting like the recipe I use for homemade ice cream. We decided it was definitely worth the stop. So much so that my husband suggested the detour when we were driving home from Key West. A bit more of a line at noon-ish on a Thursday but still not bad. We were impressed with the number of people carrying out dozens of rolls. We are back home in Illinois but joke about driving back for the rolls!

By Anna S |

We have been going to this place for over 10 yrs now and the one thing that has not changed is the popularity of this place and the long lines as the day progresses. All for a very good reason. The cinnamon buns are what they are most famous for but our shopping list looks like this- 4 cinnamon rolls (always eaten in the car), one strawberry shake (have tried others but this is the all time favorite), one black bottom cake (all chocolate and cheesy and with just the right amount of sweetness), dill bread, 2 brownies (save these for later), produce - green tomatoes when they are available (for fried green tomatoes in the evening) and avocados (when the price is right). New addition - one medium coffee (surprisingly good, we always wait for a fresh brew).

We make it there twice a yr, once at the end of the yr and then before they close out for summer. We now remember to always check the menu for the prices so we take enough cash as they only accept cash.

We go there for breakfast and get there early... just once we stood in the line for 45 min and we decided to never want to go through that again. The smells wafting out from all those bakery items were being unfair to our noses :). Find a shaded parking spot. Shop. Eat in the car....we take extra bottle of water to wash our hands. Drive home drinking the shake or coffee and stopping along the way to pick up fruits and vegetables from the roadside vendor stalls.

They do allow you to pick some of the fruits and vegetables but we have found that it is the same every where you see the sign in that area. The people are friendly and while the costs have gone up to keep with the times, the ambiance and the quality of the products they sell have remained just as what made them famous.

By Jeff M |

Limited produce but unbelievably fresh bakery goods made by the same family for over thirty (30) years.

By dput |

I love dessert and these guys' black bottom cake and sticky buns are amazing! We got both for a group of 4 and ended up munching on them for a couple of days during our trip in the Keys. At times we were trying to avoid snacking on them but they were both just so delicious!

The cake was super moist and not too sweet. The sticky buns were huge! We got 6 of them and we probably could have done just 2 for our group. But when in Florida, might as well go big!!

Great service as well and they have a few tables outside where you can eat and enjoy the outdoors.

WORLD'S BEST CINNAMON ROLLS

By Valerie D |

The cinnamon rolls lived up to the hype. We bought a dozen which seemed like too much, but by the end of the day, we wished we had bought more. We bought some bread as well and it was wonderful too. I have no doubt that all of the baked goods are delicious. I really did want to buy one of each item.

I had a milkshake as well. It was good, but it's the cinnamon rolls that are the real stand outs.

By sfqt07 |

BEST pecan cinnamon rolls EVER.(They run out quickly so get'em while you can) Strawberry shake always hits the spot. Can I get a shoo fly pie...yes you can.... No matter what you try here, it's pure heaven fresh and made with love. I swear you can taste it!

By Benjamin Fernandez-Andrew |

If you have a sweet tooth and love cinnamon buns and have a few hours to kill you may want to to visit these guys.... pies are pretty good too.

Not Quite Up To The Hype

By GeddyGolf |

Okay, the cinnamon rolls are really yummy, however I would not drive out of my way or wait hours in line for them. I was expecting some kind of frosting like Cinabons, however they have a gooey sticky-buns texture. They are served warm, so you have no choice but to devour them immediately. So, if you happen to be in the neighborhood stop by if the line is not too long.

By broxmeyer |

u-pick Strawberry's and Tomatoes, which a super. They sell fresh bread, pies, and cinnamon buns. They also have ice cream. Lots of fun.

By Fantito |

We drove to the redlands from West Broward and stopped at the berry farm. It was our first time there. What a way to step out of your routine, spend quality time with the family and grab some fresh veggies. Kids had fun picking strawberries and tomatoes. We did not go into the bakery since the line was looong, probably 40-50 people in line and in the sun so we bailed. The strawberries didn't make it past snack time in the afternoon and the tomatoes were in good company in a caprese salad later that night with home picked basil. Not bad for a regular saturday.

By omegaxcrew |

This place is simply delightful. Their baked good, cinnamon rolls are to die for! This place always has lines to make a point to get there early. They make fresh milkshakes and have a small produce market as well.

Family can go strawberry and tomato picking in the back.

I have been tracking to this gem for years! just make sure your in season.

By AkashaQD |

Love the fresh produce and the sticky buns and the milk shakes and the jams and the berries. This place is just worth the wait in line. It's a great time to have conversations with the people in your group or the others in line with you.

Get there early!

By MommyTraveler62 |

I arrived late in the day. Around 4 pm. The line was relatively short. I looked at the whiteboard of the days offerings and saw that many items were sold out. Luckily they had the cinnamon buns I had set out for. They were hot and sticky and the smell was fantastic. I came from palm beach County to homestead so I had about and hour and 45 minutes to drive home. I promised myself I would wait until I arrived home before digging into the six pack of buns. The aroma in the car was intoxicating. Well worth the trip. I would recommend these to anyone who loves fresh cinnamon buns.

By Peter M |

If you have a craving for the sweetest and tastiest strawberries or sticky buns, then you better get here during strawberry season. Always a good time picking your own berries. The sticky buns, whether regular or pecan, melt in your mouth when warm. Even the strawberry milkshake was so fresh you end here in a food coma knowing you supported a local farmer.

By Yankfanatic |

It is too bad that this farm is only open from Thanksgiving until after Easter. The sticky buns are to die for. Get there early or they will be all gone. Then wash them down with a fresh strawberry shake. Yum! Yum!
The fruits and vegetables aren't too shabby either.

By Leslie G |

Some of the best cinnamon rolls you'll ever eat! Lines can sometimes run hours long. Best bet? Go during the week in the morning. Less busy!

By DelBueno |

We drove all the way down from Broward expecting well a farm where we could spend some nice time. What we found is a very limited place with only two items for picking: tomatoes and strawberries. There were no strawberries left because, as the attendant put it, it was sold out in the morning. There were tomatoes, two kinds, so we picked up some tomatoes but quite frankly the prices don't justify the "you pick" experience. We moved to the bakery, nothing out of the ordinary. We didn't even try the milkshakes because the line was just ridiculous.

All in all I must say that this was a disappointment in our book. It wasn't worth the drive at all.

Wonderful bakery and fruits

By Alan W |

Senior couple. Enjoyed many of the bakery items and fruits. Can pick your own strawberries or buy from them.

By Santaone |

Their specialty is the cinnamon rolls, but breads, pies, cookies and cakes should be tried too. Fresh produce available and milkshakes

By haygar2389 |

I was here over 30 years ago and still remember the herb breadsticks. Sadly they only had herb rolls but they were very good and the cinnamon buns are to die for. Go early to avoid the lines.

By Hartee H |

Been going to Knaus Berry Farm as a kid. My parents would take us here on weekends when they were open from Oct to April.

Some weekends we would pick strawberries and tomatoes. Other times we would buy a quart size of strawberries.

Not to forget the baked goods we took home as well--cinnamon rolls, black bottom cake, bread sticks, jam.

Their quality is excellent and consistent. We have never been disappointed.

When we visit the Everglades in the cooler months we always pass by Knaus Berry Farm on the way back as well.

Get there early to beat the crowds. Early is 8 am. Otherwise the line is long for the baked goods.

The place is now run by the original owners daughter since they retired.

By Bee6115 |

Fresh produce, fresh baked goods and delicious shakes are worth the wait at Knaus Berry. Growing up near Amish Country PA, this Redlands farm reminds me of home. Go early and be mindful of the seasons as they are only open half the year.

30 YEAR HOMESTEAD, FL LOCAL HONEST REVIEW

By Daisy C |

After living next to this place for nearly 3 decades I thought it was time to leave a review. A verrrry thoughtful review. Consider me a local giving all you tourist an insiders perspective on the reality of this place. Whoever thinks this place is all the world has even seen is blinded. I will be honest though whoever leaves a 1 or 2 star bad review on the food or shakes or cinnamon rolls on this place is definitely alienated from the world or clearly this is not their style of food or they need to see a doctor to check their taste buds. I've tried cinnamon roles all over the U.S. and these are totally not what you expect. Yes they are unique. They have no icing. They are just bread and cinnamon dripping in warm hot melted caramelized (not caramel) cinnamon sugar which drench these rolls to melt in your mouth. The only bad part is......after buying them for nearly three decades and living 2 streets down from this place and never growing old from these cinnamon roles...EVER....YOU HAVE TO EAT THEM FRESH !! One week later and they DO NOT taste the same. They become dry and dull and taste almost like a dried up dehydrated piece of rolled up bread. BACK TO THE POINT....as a local for nearly three decades and now relocated elsewhere, people hate this place because it has always been sooooo outdated and they need to fix the long line. It gets longer and longer every year and this place has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to update with the times. Hundreds of people a day and thousands a week and they are only OPEN for part of the fall season so everyone and their families tailgate on weekends and make it a day trip from Miami or nearby MAJOR cities to wait the line which is fine and understandable. But there is no need for this place to be so outdated. This line can stretch long and I mean LOOOONG in the hot sunny or wet Florida weather with no where to stand but outside....people literally are starting to camp and bring beach chairs and umberalas to stand in line for nearly 2-3 hours just for a box of cinnamon roles or even just for a simple little carton of veggies and fruits. Even for a shake i've waited almost an hour. Hundreds outside wait all while 3 registers are slowly patiently taking the orders and they do not do the job fast enough because they honestly don't care. Everything is CASH ONLY. So this makes the wait longer because they count change and give it back and the entire process takes longer. Plus people aren't very well with math now or cash or both and sometimes have to count the most amount of items they can take without going over the amount of money they have in cash which has even happened to me because not everyone has an atm nearby when they want to get something from here and it's a dam amish farm in the middle of homestead farming redlands, there aren't many atms nearby....so this makes it even less convenient and more of a pain in the a**. Seriously we are in 2021 and there's even crpyto currency but these people choose to take cash ONLY....how stubborn could you be from a business perspective people come from miles and from other states to come here and it's already bad enough we have to wait hours in a long line and hope the weather is okay that day...There's thousands of customers that would probably purchase waaaaaaaayyy more items when they know they have less limitations using their debit card... After moving from Florida I've ordered their cinnamon buns online on Goldbelly.com, they ship decently fast during the early season, prices are more expensive, and the only upside is I can actually use a card to pay..?? Wow that wasn't too hard Knaus Berry? Or Gold belly shall I say. But it has sometimes taken up to a month of shipping during the late season...yes A MONTH !!. SO if you order from them online guess
what? Yup they do not taste the same. They taste dry and gummy and horrible. Nowhere near the taste of when you get them from the location. These are definitely cinnamon buns that are made 2 days before they even ship and by the time you receive them it's been a full week of the cinnamon rolls drying and dieing while transiting in the box from Florida to wherever you are around the US. So take this advice from a real homestead local that this place is not as good as it sounds. Whoever makes this place sound like it's the entrance to heaven either just discovered the cinnamon roles or has not waited long enough in line to realize they can run out of stuff before you even get to the front entrance...just let experience teach these amateurs and maybe one day they will realize KNAUS BERRY NEEDS AN UPDATE !!!

If you go down to south Florida in the area of Homestead FL, you MUST go to Knaus Berry Farm for the best cinnamon and cinnamon/nut rolls you will ever buy out!! They are outstanding.

Their fruit picking, in season is fun and good quality as well!!

By spud822 |

Took my wife for her first cinnamon bun,she couldnt believe how good they are.Always busy, but that comes with being so good.Strawberry milkshakes are top notch, along with any of baked goods.Be prepared to loosen belt

Best cinnamon rolls EVER !!!

By lcordero24 |

I’ll start by saying that all of their baking is excellent. Their ice creams are wonderful. You can taste that their toppings are freshly made. The downside is their lines. They’re sooooo good that long lines are the order of the day. Be prepared to spend an hour plus on the line, but the cinnamon rolls are worth the wait. They also don’t open on Sundays so keep that in mind when you plan your visit here. Strawberries are awesome too.

Addiction at its best

By Sarah M |

Prepare yourself to be addicted to cinnamon rolls and strawberry milkshakes. Knaus Berry Farm has been around for ages and proven to have the best bakery item in town. They grow there own strawberries which are the sweetest and juicest berries you’ve ever tasted! You can also find their milkshake, coffee and ice cream stand next to the bakery.
I’m the back you can opt for pick your own berries and weight for price cost. There is a chickee hit for
eating your food and you can hear everything going on in the bakery.
Parking is always hard as a middle school is acrosss the street making you park along the sides on the street. Get there early (about 6am) to be the first in line or you will be waiting 2-5 hours!
Trust me, it’s worth the drive and your taste buds will thank you!

A relative told us about this place and we were thrilled to learn there was an Amish farm in South Florida. They do not disappoint. We purchased Cinnamon rolls (singles are $1-2) , Cheesy rolls, a key lime pie, a flat of strawberries, and strawberry jam... plus two shakes!

They also sell a special brand of coffee beans and the beans are used in their coffee shake. Coffee shake and a cinnamon roll was AMAZING. Prices are very fair and the staff are friendly. You can also pick your own Strawberries but we chose to purchase prepackaged ones instead.

Best strawberry shakes ever, hand picked strawberries. Great way to spend a family afternoon. Will be back soon. Thank you

Since moving to South Florida, I've been wanting to make the drive to Knaus.

I had my whole family coming into town for the holidays, and I decided it be the perfect welcome treat for them. I picked my mom and grandma up at the airport at 7 am and we made our way down to Homestead. We arrived around 8:15 and already the line was super long.

We ended up waiting in line for about 2 hours on a Thursday morning, but let me tell you- those darn sticky buns are well worth the wait. They came out piping hot, and soooo delish. We ordered two dozen buns, one dozen pecan rolls, and an apple pie. Everything was amazing and devoured quickly!

I recommend getting a shake (we got raspberry) while waiting in line, and come with some patience. Next time, I'd get more than 2 dozen rolls. If you're waiting for hours on end, it's worth stocking up and freezing them for later.

I'll definitely be coming back, and hoping that the line won't be too long the next time around.

By dlfay |

They sell cinnamon buns and other baked goods, produce and milk shakes. When they return in the fall, usually after Thanksgiving the line in the parking lot it impressive.

By jdjd2 |

Get the cinnamon buns -- awesome. Almost always a wait. They also only take cash so be prepared. The rolls are yummy too and so are the milkshakes.

By Елена Я |

Best strawberries, best cinnamon rolls and milk shake. Love the owner and their farm. Highly recommend to visit.

By Earl W |

The Market has bakery attached, that make the BEST Sticky-buns made with Pecan's. They also have and Ice Cream parlor which makes great Milkshake's. Every thing is a little high priced.

Cinnamon buns and stawberry shakes

By Tripper4Life |

Had cinnamon buns and a strawberry shake. Both were great. The wait for the cinnamon buns can be long, If you go to the trouble of waiting a long time, buy a dozen or so and freeze them. You won't regret that unless you are on a diet. I have had the pies in the past and they were very good as well.

Yes, it’s worth the wait!

By Tslorenzo |

Truly the best place for cinnamon rolls. I have tried cinnamon rolls in different places. Knaus has the best. There cinnamon rolls, shakes, breads, pies and assorted yummies are a delight and nothing can match it.
Now, with time comes growth of people finding out about this hidden Gem, but it’s worth it. It’s perfection from year to year. I have been going there 42 years and the only thing that has changed, is the lines get longer.
If you got the time, then put on your walking shoes and wait in line for one of there fabulous cinnamon roll.

By 2doglady |

You can tell this place is a local favorite. The parking was packed and spilled over. They had a line for the bakery, one for produce, and one for milkshakes. We read about the cinnamon rolls plus we were traveling, so the bakery line was for us. The line was long but it seemed to move at a pretty good pace. They had sold out of the bread items we wanted, but they were still cranking out the cinnamon rolls. They were great, too. The strawberries looked amazing! If we were not traveling and staying in hotels, I would have gotten those, too. They were the prettiest strawberries I have ever seen! You can pick strawberries and tomatoes here. They have the strawberries and other great looking produce for sale in the produce line. I am glad we found this and had a super tasting afternoon treat.

You can start the diet tomorrow

By JoDoShep |

Delicious strawberry shakes and locally famous pecan rolls sold in trays of 10! There is often a line, but staff are very well organized so it move quickly.

By Carmen |

This Amish owned Bakery is the truth. Their cinnamon rolls and milkshakes are second to none! I've been coming to this bakery since a child at Redland Middle School. The stand in line is well worth it. You will not be disappointed.

Knaus Berry Farms Cinnamon Rolls

By Real Deal |

I have been to Knaus Berry farm, Florida and had their cinnamon rolls on three different occasions. Did I go on the wrong day? Or get a bad batch each time I’ve had them? Because the cinnamon rolls were nothing to stand in line for. I have tried them 3 different times, just to give the buns the benefit of “ maybe the previous was a bad batch doubt” Each time I couldn’t complete the cinnamon bun. Not because of its size, but it wasn’t very good at all. Apparently people have created alot of hype for these cinnamon buns over the years,But they’re not that great and they’re not even visually appeasing. I’m a “foodie” and can honestly critique these buns as NOTHING SPECIAL! The dough is heavy and is not consistently baked throughout the bun. The cinnamon sugar is nothing more than just that. A mixture or butter, cinnamon, and granulated sugar. No special flavor. Really these buns are about a 2.5 on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the lowest rating.

By wkassotis |

Came here as we had heard that. The cinnamon buns were amazing. We were not disappointed at all. They are truly wonderful and they are warm when you get them.

By Julie R |

Traveling through this area and stopped for some strawberries. Acutually bought berries, grape tomatoes and corn on the cob. It was all so sweet and delicious! Even went back two days later for more because we ate it all in two days. We also had a strawberry shake and cinnamon roll. They were very, very good!

By Jbmisch |

I have two reasons to head south.

1.) My family. I grew up here- right off 248th in Princeton. Graduated from Homestead Senior High and spent my middle school years at Redland Middle- yup! across the street from the Knaus- which brings me to reason #2.
2.) It would be #1 but if my mom ever becomes a yelper I don't want her feelings hurt... KNAUS BERRY FARM!

Some may complain there's a hype, there's a line, there's a wait...it doesn't matter. You don't understand the hype, the line or the wait- until you've had the chance to try a roll. You see I grew up trying the rolls, the shakes and picking strawberries. I risked detentions and getting run over for crossing the street back in the mid 90's- so driving 45 minutes to wait an hour long line means nothing to me when I can be nostalgic and eat something of my childhood days. The taste is still as amazing as it was back then and contrary to what the masses believe they're NOT Amish as many assume. That's neither here nor there because the cinnamon rolls and shakes are out of this world phenomenal. Everything is fresh, homemade and has the perfect gooey. In addition to the rolls, I'm a fan of the honey, guava jelly and I've had both the key lime and guava pie which is also made in-house.

A few things to prepare for....CASH ONLY and I am not sure where you'll find the nearest ATM since you've got a middle school across the street and it's mostly farms and residential in the area.
Another thing is PARKING- it's pretty much wherever you find a spot on the side of the road since the actual parking areas for Knaus will be full. There is a complimentary valet right past it- but I haven't tried that option yet. A good idea is to come with a friend- one of you can make the milkshake line and the other the bakery line- if you each need someone to talk to, bring more friends- this way you get to minimize the wait times and try both things for a full blown experience. HEAT is another factor- they are open November thru April. For South Florida, it makes no difference, it's not fall and it's not winter here...it's always summer so come prepared and always take a picture. A picture is worth a thousand words and when someone sees you holding that sticky bun, they're just gonna wish they knew you better.

Cinnamon Rolls are $0.90 and a dozen is $9- get the DOZEN! 1/2 a dozen is $4.90- get the DOZEN.

By maiguafern |

Lookin forward to November since that's when they open...Their shakes and Cinnamon buns are worth the drive and waits on Saturdays. We usually buy their honey, cinnamon buns, shakes and angel cake or brownies.

Take a drive after Thanksgiving and judge for yourself!!!

By travelfam2015 |

Great farmers market. You must get the cinnamon rolls- DELISHHHH. Great organic fruit smoothies too. Beware of the long line.

By pakal2 |

We love going to Knaus Berry Farm. Their cinnamon buns are world famous and incredibly delicious. My 4 year old grandson loves picking strawberries right off the farm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely visit Knaus Berry Farm and try the buns and the fruit shakes. Just try to visit during weekdays because it gets very full on the weekends.

By Tasmith70056 |

Love, love, love the sticky cinnamon buns and all the baked items. Great strawberries and assorted produce selection. Milkshakes are a special treat. Never thought my husband would stand in that line for cinnamon buns, but he does!

By Villamar717 |

Knaus Berry Farm is a famous place. Everything is home-made/baked. They have the best cinnamon sticky buns and the most delicious milkshakes....no sugar added, just the sweet fruits.
You can buy home-made bread of different types, huge strawberries and very fresh veggies.
You can go to the back and pick your own tomatoes, the regular ones or the grape/cherry ones; as well as trawberries. You can pick them green, medium or ripe at a very reasonable price for their quality. In December 2013, we paid $1.70 lb. You must get there around 7:30 am because the lines are long, long, long. They ARE NOT Amish; they are 'Dunkers' a sect of German Baptists. You must bring CASH; they don't take credit cards.

By Russsant |

This is worth visiting, and waiting on line, for the warm and tasty sticky buns. The best ever made. Cinnabon doesn't even come close!

By Lesley N |

We spend the day picking our on strawberries and had a really good time. Also the shakes and the cinnamon rolls are the best i the area! Its a must go place when it’s their season.

By martariverallorens |

A Must Go! The best ever cinnamon rolls.. Simply delicious!!! The cheese bread, the garlic bread, the strawberries and shakes! Line can be longer than expected, but is so worth the wait!

By Vicky07Miami_FL |

Fresh market Best buns and shakes but too long of a line. Interesting to appreciate amish type of austere life Easy to turn in US1 if you are coming from the Keys but I would not drive from Miami for such lines

Fun Day

By Eva C |

The wait in line for their famous Cinnamon rolls wasn't bad at all. While waiting, I can to get us a strawberry milkshake- very tasty. Their Cinnamon rolls were delicious; I will have to update the review once we had their cookies, cheesecake and cheese bread. Picking our own tomatoes was a lot of fun (strawberries weren't ready yet) and their price seemed reasonable ($1.85 per lb). Friendly staff!

By Mia |

This place is awesome, there cinnamon buns are awesome plus the strawberries. Been going to this place ever since I was a child and nothing has changed. Yeah they have the long lines but who ever leaves is an idiot. I'll wait 2 hrs for there delicious menu. They do great at what they do.

By MarcSellsMiami |

Got there around 9AM on Saturday morning, line was about 30 people long, not that bad considering what I read about it. I got a half dozen for only $5.75 and some fresh produce. Afterwards, we took the little guy (see attached) to the U-Pick strawberry/tomato farm. He loves strawberries so we gave this a shot.

He had a blast. Picked a good size basket of berries for only $4. Washed them and ate a bunch right there and let me tell you, way better than Publix.

All in all it was a great stop. Took us about an hour for everything but its on the way to the Zoo or Monkey Jungle so you can tie it all together with the family.

Definitely check it out before they close for the summer!

By Ana F |

If you think you've had the best cinnamon buns, well....FORGETABOUTIT.
The line may be long when you get there, alright really long depending on time of day and day of the week, however the buns are worth the wait.
Great fresh produce too.
And don't forget to grab a strawberry shake, that line is usually shorter and faster.
But DO NOT LEAVE without Cinnamon Buns. KNAUS knows Cinnamon Buns!

By Drew S |

We drove an hour to get to this place, and then waited in line for their "famous" cinnamon rolls and strawberry milkshakes, which were really very good! Fresh-baked, herb dinner rolls were delicious! The kids enjoyed the u-pick fields but, unfortunately, they were out of ripe strawberries on the day we visited. Therefore, they only had tomatoes available for picking, but those were very good, too! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We would return again, perhaps on our way to or from the Keys.

By michael v |

There rolls are totally Awesome especially the wheat rolls and they're cinnamon buns are too die for and you can freeze them too. Also their shakes are incredible along with their fruits and pies and other great things! We love Knaus Berry Farm and I have been buying their delicious items for more than 20 years.

Iconic simplicity.

By winkz40 |

How can anyone give the iconic Knaus Berry Farm less than a 4-star review? There are precious few sites in the Miami/Homestead area that have been in existence since the mid-century. KBF is more than just a piece of local history, it is THE place to go for fresh and delicious baked goods and u-pick strawberries and tomatoes. There’s a reason the lines are an hour long —-for me, it’s the cinnamon buns and herb bread. You simply cannot find this level of wholesome good food anywhere but here. So whether you come for the soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, baked goods, local honey, fresh fruit or for the adventure of a ‘u-pick’ day with the family, the simplicity of KBF won’t disappoint.

By cdkassotis |

This place seems to have a lot going on. First and foremost, the cinnamon buns are amazing. Hot from the oven, delicious, and cheap to boot. You can eat them there, take them to go, or whatever you'd like. Right outside you can get milkshakes which are also supposedly quite good. Plenty of other bakery items as well - rolls, desserts, pies, etc.
Out back is a farm, and seems to have a pick your own strawberries, tomatoes, and maybe some other fruits as well. Definitely a fun place to stop!

By anne201552017 |

Everytime my daughter comes home for college break, we always visit this farm for a treat of deliciousness. The line is always long, more like a test of your patience. We get the cinnamon rolls and the strawberry milk shakes and they are always delicious!

Cinnamon Rolls!!!

By Ruth S |

Knaus Farm is a must. The cinnamon rolls are absolutly the best ones you will ever taste. Worth the price!! We wondered how long the stop would take given all the comments on long waits but we went on a Wednesday around 11am and there was only a few people there. No line. We are going to try their milk shakes next as our neighbor said those can't be beat.

By citizen0103 |

What can I say about Knaus Berry farms other than it's one of those things you do at least once! That's because you probably shouldn't do it often! Aside from the trees, the strawberry picking, the fresh fruits and vegetables for sale, and that kind of stuff; it's all about the baked goods! It's all kinds of decadence! There is also the little situation of the fresh fruit shakes! For me it's above all else the cinnamon rolls. Get there early because there is usually a long line.

Line moves quickly and it's worth it even if it didn't

By JSATfromTX |

The cinnamon rolls are seriously delicious. We arrived on a busy day and the line looked like it would take an hour, but we had a dozen rolls in-hand just about 15 minutes later. After tasting the rolls, I decided they might be worth waiting an hour. Four days after our first visit, we were passing through Homestead again and decided to meander back over... this time, the wait was less than 5 minutes; and the rolls were just as good. If I weren't 1500 miles away, I would head over there right now.

By Patricia316 |

After moving away from Miami more than a decade ago, I hadn't been to Knaus in years. The place was always packed on Saturday, and we would sometimes wait about 20 minutes to reach the counter to order the famous cinnamon rolls. Nothing prepared me for the line that I saw on Halloween Saturday. Cars were parked for blocks, and people were sitting in lawn chairs while they were in line. The line was at least 100 people long. Sadly, I opened the car window, sniffed the heavenly fragrance, and drove past. Nothing is worth that wait, guessing it would be about 90 minutes. Be smart and go during the week. This place gets 1 star because of the wait and 10 stars because of the divine baked goods. Hence the 5 star rating.

Local Lover!

By Libby |

As a local.. I can’t get enough of these amazing cinnamon buns. I try to stay away unless I have family or friends in town because they are so amazing and addicting you can’t have just one! It is cash only and you have to go at the perfect time on the perfect day to avoid lines and crazy wait times but it is WELL WORTH IT even if you do have to wait!

By Mj A |

hot juicy cinnamon buns, can't beat it. Get there early especially on the weekends or you will wait in an hour long line. Knaus Beery better think about opening larger productions and more line service. Your the bomb.com :) Can't wait until November!

By happyllamalover724 |

the shake was good, but we waited too long. the management should look into opening new booths to better serve the clients. Way too long of a wait

By Kitty32799 |

This place has the best cinnamon rolls ever and they are still warm when you get them! I moved away from Miami in 2001, but I always stop at Knaus when I go back to visit! They're only open from November til the end of March or April and they only accept CASH. Plan to arrive early and be prepared to wait in a long line. (The line moves pretty fast!) Knaus sells a variety of pies, and other baked goods too. Their herb bread sticks are yummy, but they sell out quickly. Fresh produce is available for purchase and you can pick your own too! Knaus also has a little stand that sells milkshakes and ice cream. Make sure you visit Knaus Berry Farm when you're in town. You'll be glad you did!

By Ivan G |

Beautiful place to visit for those looking for something different in Miami. Strawberry picking is ok for small kids to do something different. The food is amazing - take all the cinnamon rolls you can, you'll always regret you didn't get one more when your bank home.

Best sweet buns in the area

a real farm

Very long lines, go on weekdays

TIP, Day old frozen are almost and helf the price of the fresh

By Detroit9964 |

The best cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten. There is usually a long line but the wait is well worth it

By scotpond |

Fresh out of the oven the cinnamon rolls are worth a 15 mile drive. Buy extras to keep for the next day because you will want more and they warm up nice in the microwave.

By flybynight1223 |

Best Homemade Cinnamon Buns in the world!!! Ok so maybe not but they have to be a close second. Everything is homemade, bread, cookies, pies, cakes, its awesome. And they have pick your own strawberries as well as peppers and potatoes when in season. You definetly need to time your visit a Saturday any time you will wait at least an hour and most evenings and early mornings are the same. Plus when they run out of baked goods for the day they are done!

By Athienitou |

We stopped by on our way to Key West. It was a bit of a diversion but it was well worth it. We got there early but there already was a pretty long line. As soon as we tasted our warm cinnamon rolls we knew why! Absolutely delicious.

We ordered fresh cheese rolls that were also very good & the fresh strawberries were excellent. So glad we stopped by. You could see lots of customers walking off with huge cardboard boxes full of goodies! The bakery items are that good!

Ps. They also serve milkshakes & coffee in a booth nearby & the line for that was not long (at that time of day!). There is a U-pick patch at the back that looked really fun.

By Hail2V |

Be prepared to stand in a long line. The cinnamon buns are warm, gooey and sweet but need more cinnamon. Their pecan roll are nothing more then a cinnamon roll with pecans on top. Their milkshakes are very thick but way to sweet. Bottom line is the sweetness overpowering.

By Mayra B |

As soon as we park we were smiling..It has Live Goats in front of the store, Pigs, Cut out for the kids to take photos in. Toys and a Play set. He sell jams, jellies, Cinnamon rolls and of course Shakes. I bought a strawberry one. Only Milk, real Strawberries 100 % Natural made in front of you. will come back again

By must_travel_soon_10 |

Cinnamon buns were excellent, although the top was not caramelized, nor topped with any nuts. Definitely not worth the 25 minute wait. The produce was very fresh and the strawberries very flavourful. Cinnabon is probably as good, without the lineup. Parking is very limited, tourist trap?

By Bec D |

Showed up at the end of the day to see what was going on. All we could smell was fresh cinnamon buns. We didn't do a lot of wandering around, but the stop was worth the cinnamon rolls!!!!! Soooooooo good. We also got whole grain bread and some key lime shakes on the way out. Lots of baked goodies to go with the fresh prodcue. You need to stop here!

By Roxanna G |

So sad as it was Thursday, 10 am and the line was so long and slow we couldn't stand there to wait for a delicious black bottom cake. 😢

By Tony R |

We love visiting Knaus Berry Farm a couple of times a year when they open. Sometimes you need patience because the lines are long but worth the wait. From the cinnamon rolls to the homemade breads they offer, every item we have purchased feels like home cooking. The milkshakes are great and recommend trying on your way out. We love this place!

By Patricia B |

It is worth the wait for the sticky buns esp when you get them just out of the oven. you must also have either a strawberry sundae or milkshake. I go there several times while they are open for the season. Worth the drive & the wait !!

By Cleo3343 |

best strawberry milk shake and oh those cinnamon rolls to die for' Get there early there is always customers

By Peter H |

Really worth going out of your way for, the line is worth it after you get to the front, delicious fresh fruit,

By Ssssssammm |

It's true, the cinnamon rolls are delicious but that is not all. They also have other stuff you can eat like bread, jellies, pies, and shakes. I tried the coffee shake and it was very refreshing in the mid-day heat. My recommendation is to go on weekday or when you think it's not too busy. You will wait like we did for half an hour on a Friday afternoon. Bring an umbrella because it will be hot and there's no shade until you reach the front of the line.

By Stormy lee M |

Stopped by for some treats. We got two pies, an apple and a guava. Both were delicious. The guava is very creamy and the apple has a nice crumble with a homemade pie filling. Also bought a large package of their strawberries. Very yummy.

By Mendy G |

I visited this farm on today's date and enjoyed a delicious coconut milkshake and bought two packs of cinnamon rolls, key lime pie and herb rolls. A definite must visit, eat and drink...😊

By Mike B |

The lines to this small farm store are insane. This place used to be a local (especially this local) favorite, but it was featured on some TV show, and now people travel for miles to visit this place. Their cinnamon rolls are what they are famous for, but since the lines, and the upped the price, we don't go there very often anymore. If you have time to kill, and could be hungry, we definitely recommend stopping by to try and get today's cinnamon rolls.

By MagicMilkLady |

Long lines but so worth the wait. We started with shakes since it was hot and waited in line for the cinnamon buns.. Very nice place and cute selection of stuff inside.

Best cinnamon buns

By Olga M |

If your ever in Homestead Florida you definitely need to stop at Knaus Berry Farm they have the best cinnamon bun ever the waiting time in line can sometimes reach over 3 hours but it is worth the wait . They also sell milkshakes and brownies etc.

Still great

By WFAGeorgia |

Been going here for 40 years . consistently good. Strawberry milkshakes are the best. Lucky if you hit them duruing Upick availability. Really good berries

By ARodriguezP |

First and foremost and for the record, the hardworking folks that run this rural South Florida landmark are NOT Amish but Mennonites, they are a similar religious group but not as traditional as some of the Old Order Amish or Old Order Mennonites that one would encounter in Lancaster County,Pennsylvania or some parts of Ohio or Indiana. They aren't as attracted to modern technology as we average citizens but still own cars and use modern farm equipment eventhough the ladies dress modestly and almost always cover their heads with bonnets, while the men folk keep their beards but not mustaches as is the custom with most religious sects that originated from the European Anabaptists.
They do employ many local youngsters in their bakery, store, and shake kiosk so not all of the staff is Mennonite but there seems to always be some Mennonite folk around supervising and helping out. Having visited several Mennonite and Amish (both Old Order and New Order) communities throughout the country I have always had the utmost respect and admiration for their work ethic and steadfast conviction for their beliefs and traditional way of life.
Now that I have set the record straight on who these people are,let me get to the reason most of us who live in the area love to visit them. I myself am very lucky because I own a home just about 10 minutes away and though I no longer live in my house my sons and their mother still do and while raising them we made frequent visits to pick up breads, pies and of course their locally famous cinnamon buns (also known as sticky buns). These buns alone merit the drive out to see them and the usual line people make for them.... what can I say they're simply delicious!!! Most of the times I'd return home with less than the dozen I had originally purchased and a very sticky steering wheel,I just couldn't resist the temptation of eating at least one (or two!) before returning home to share with the rest of the family.
Their milkshakes are good as well and the small assortment of fresh produce always has something for my salad bowl. Check out some of the jams and jellies that might be on offer too! Families with small children will probably enjoy the U-Pick field they have out back for fresh strawberries or tomatoes.
Keep in mind that they open shop just before Thanksgiving when the weather starts to cool down a bit then close up around mid April if I'm not mistaken as our rainy summer season approaches. And Sunday is the day they dedicate to the Lord so they do close to respect the Sabbath.
One tip- going early during a weekday usually will be best to avoid any long lines or parking issues and can be a great way to start a day of visiting other local attractions such as R.F. Orchids or the nearby Everglades National Park. Enjoy!!!

Long wait for these rolls but so worth it!

By Abel R |

These cold evenings call for something comforting, and this cinnamon roll pecan from Knaus Berry Farm happens to be the answer. Their cinnamon rolls are out of this world. This place gets super packed. Expect long lines when ordering over the weekend. This establishment does not accept credit cards. So bring cash.

By Francisco C |

The place is very popular, in short there are four buying options, one is the milk shake stand, nothing extraordinary about the milk shakes, in fact they taste pretty average, then there is the produce section, which offers some very nice vegetables, it is not a huge selection, but whatever they have is good. Then you can have the U Pick experience, where kids can go into the farm and pick the strawberries themselves, it is a fun activity, hoverer most everyone here is here for one reason, the bakery. The cinnamon rolls are by far the most popular item on the menu, for a reason they are really, really good, the bread and pies are also good, though they are hardly worth the line. Save your calories for the Cinnamon rolls. The farm is closed on Sundays and it is only open to the public from November through April. Saturday is the busiest day, so if you want to avoid the really long lines, go there on a weekday. If it were not for the long lines the cinnamon rolls would have earned the place 5 stars. The lines could be a lot shorter if they had more than two people working the counter.

By mark p |

I just love, love love this place. All their treats are baked fresh daily. They have these great tasting cinnamon rolls.

By Shaked007 |

Again, locals sent us here and we are thankful for that!!
Knaus Berry Farm at Homestead specializes in a few things - Bakery, Ice cream, Milk shakes and some farm produce.
We couldn't handle everything so we concentrated on a few of them.
If you only take one item here - The pecan cinnamon rolls are a definite MUST!! And the fresher the better. They are tasty, sticky and awesome!!
Then don't miss the Key Lime white chocolate cookies (Yummmmmy!!) and/or the cheddar buns.....
Before you leave, be sure to take (for the road...) a large (The "small' is really small....) milk shake. We took the Key Lime shake and the Mango shake. Both were delicious.
Definitely worth a visit!!

By Kathy K |

Is this what people stand in line for? Not much selection and outrageous prices. The price of strawberries was triple what I am used to paying.

This place is a staple to Homestead. It's been around for years, and there are tons of great reasons to visit.

1. Strawberry picking: Its fields are so pretty and this is a great activity for couples and families
2. Strawberry milkshakes: Period. They have the best, everyone should try it once.
3. Cinnamon buns: it's a religion there.

It's such a reward! If you there early, might take you an hour. We got there around 8a and were done by 8:45am with buns and a shake. Weather was perfect! Everything they sell is delicious, but be prepared to spend.

96 Cinnammon Rolls!!!

By Sherri S |

I just waited 2 hours behind 8 people who ordered 96 dozen Cinnamon rolls.
The limit is 12 dozen per person so they came in a group.
It was a Wednesday at 9:30am. I could understand if it was the weekend or the week before Christmas.
Several people had complaints that a huge order like that should have been PRE-ordered.
The group of 8 talked about re-selling them for a higher price. Several of us told the people working for Knaus, but they didn't seem to care.

Our hidden gem in the Redland farm area is now so commercialized.
Great for Knaus but sad to the locals.

This place is a gem! Their cinnamon buns are too good, thick and so fresh. There is usually an extremely long line and wait ... be prepared to wait 2 to 3 hours, they only accepted cash. They have fields for you to pick your own strawberries and tomatoes very fun way to spend the morning with the kids.

OMG this place is amazing, the best shakes and Sunday's ever, and this plus and plus, the cinnamon buns are amazing, the produce super fresh , the dinner rolls ... Overall this place could not be better... I LOVE IT.

great place , great prices , great people

from the sticky buns to shakes to ice cream......all awesome, these people are good americans , good working americans , not people who ripspeople off like Robert is here

This is one of my favorite local hidden gems only open seasonally you'll find the best fresh fruits vegetables pies jellies and most famously known for their fresh cinnamon buns there
magical! expect to wait anywhere between half an hour and 2 to 3 hours in line best to go towards the end of the season on a weekday!

Pleasant people and excellent food but not sure why folks line up for this for so long.

By TourMD |

Have to admit that, like with many tourist haunts, there is unnecessary hype as someone else had commented. Delightful staff and very good veg and food but certainly would not be driving miles and queuing for too long for this. But combine with the nearby Fruit and Spice Park and lunch at Redlands Winery and it’s a pleasant day out.

Best cinnamon rolls ever. Long wait but well worth it. Get there early if you can. Nice cultural environment.

By Rocbottom5 |

Cinnamon buns are outrageous!!! but they have so much more...shakes, jams, pies, fresh produce...definitely worth a trip if you are in the area. Only regret is the U-pick strawberry field is closed for the season already...that's fine just gives an excuse to come back next year!!

By Shaynet R |

This place has the best cinnamon rolls. Although during their open season your will find yourself in line for more than one hour, the end result is so worth the wait.

We normally plan our trip here, during the week the lines are not so bad. On Saturday forget about it. For a Saturday trip I ensure to collect monies (they only take cash) from friend and families that want a dozen or anything else from here (there isn't long lines for the milk shakes and the produce, only the bakery has a long line) so I make a list and go to the location at 6:30. I have to wait until 8 am but I am normally either number 1 or 2. I do this to avoid the HOT sun. If you do not want to get there that early, make sure you take an umbrella, chair and snacks.

And be ready to order, check out what they have prior, being in line for a long time, and then to get there and still have people trying to decide what they want is not very nice. Prepare ahead of time. AND ENJOY those AMAZING warm and soft cinnamon rolls!

By BigDNOBrag |

Came here on a Saturday as I work M-F. Arrived at 8am and the line was already 200 people deep. I read all about this place through the "burger beast" blog. I had a vanilla milk shake while waiting, which was excellent. Perfect for a hot south florida morning. I ordered one dozen of the cinnamon buns, one dozen of the herb rolls, and one dozen of the cheese rolls. The cinnamon buns being the bell of the ball. Gooey, hot!, soft, and delicious. They remind me of bananas foster to be completely honestly. In retrospect I should've ordered two dozen. The dozen were basically gone by the time I reached home. The cheese rolls were good, I made mini sandwiches with them and the herb rolls complimented pasta I made that night.

Overall, just stand there, grab a shake, enjoy the sun, order two dozen, and thank me later.

Crowed bakery. Line coming out the door. It seems just about every one going there went for the pies or other already processed fruits not fresh ones.
There's a u-pick patch behind the bakery though.

I have been a regular to this wonderful bakery, fruit & vegetable market since 1981. The place started as a fantastic quaint little place where you could purchase different kinds of pies, cakes, fresh strawberries, homemade jellies and vegetables. Today, they offer the same delightful items but the secret is out and hundreds of people flock in to purchase their number one seller: Cinnamon Rolls.

I am not going to go into detail on how amazing these cinnamon rolls are. If you have not visited this place do yourself a favor and join the crowd: the secret is out…

This place has been around forever. The cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever had. We went the day before Christmas Eve and the line was ridiculously long of course, it we had milkshakes while we waited, which were delicious. Go early because they sell out!

By Cindy C |

I had the honor of attending the middle school across the street from the Knaus Berry Farm & I've been going to them since. They make everything from scratch. I absolutely LOVE their cinnimon buns, its impossible to only eat one. & Their breads are delicious!

Just so you know they open only a certain time in the year. I believe its between November to March. So that means they are closed during the summer time.

It doesn't matter when you go if during the week or weekend. The earlier the better! They always have lines... I know i've stood in some for over an hour.

This place rocks when it comes to the bakery and also the shakes. A great place to get a quick snack

By denversmom |

The strawberries are like nothing you have ever had - big, juicy, red, delicious. The shakes and ice cream are good too. What people really come for is the baked goods. They are fresh, homemade and scrumptious. You will wait on weekends and holidays. During week days you can get right in. I recommend the U-Pick strawberries and other produce. It is NOT organic, but it is quality. By the way, the founders are often mistaken for Amish. They are not Amish but German Baptist

By Laura L |

Knaus Berry Farm has the best home baked cinnamon rolls. Other items are black-bottom pies, herb breads, mince and pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. They also have great milk shakes and their own coffee blend. Expect long lines on weekends but if you come during the week, it will be easier to get a parking space and into the building.

Everything was fantastic

Freshly baked cinnamon rolls and cheese rolls. So good. I also bought spring onions, tomatoes, and squash. They were all so fresh and delicious. The wait was a little long but totally worth it.

yummy!!

By lalocadr19 |

went here to taste the cinnamon rolls, nice and hot right of the oven. must bring cash to paid, farm also has strawberry picking for anyone that want to buy fresh strawberries.

By Marcie H |

Everything they sell is absolutely wonderful! The key lime pie is the best I have ever tasted and the cinnamon rolls - well, they are heavenly! I stocked up so I have some over the summer since they do not open back up until November.

By Chictraveler37 |

Drove an hour out of my way to stop by Knaus Berry Farm because I had heard lots of great things about the baked goods. It was very disappointing. I tried the cinnamon rolls which are really sticky buns. They were average. Also tried the icecream which was good but not worth the drive. If you happen to be out in the middle of no where in Homestead then give it a go. But don't make a special trip just to go there. Also, the produces was extremely expensive.

By beachbum685 |

All I can say is, the cinnamon rolls are worth every second we had to wait in line. I wish we had rolls like this in South Carolina!!!

By Bl626626 |

great food ....great shakes...great u pick..overall a fun family place...so popular in the area..the line curve around the buildings

Amazing cinnamon roll

By DaynnaDaynn |

On a road trip from Miami to the keys I was told this is a must stop so of course we had to check it out. Somehow our gps got turned around and we were a bit lost. Not to mention there were signs advertising very similar things on the same road. I called the farm and a gentleman answered who just told us we were in the wrong spot and offered no help in finding the business other than it’s by the school. This was disappointing as I’m sure we weren’t the only ones who’ve ran into this issue and could’ve easily accidentally ended up at a competitor. We did eventually locate the place and had their cinnamon roll pieces and they were delicious. 10/10 on food service not so much.

I absolutely love this place! i wait around all year just ot have the cinnamon rolls they are heavenly, only tip is come EARLY! i've waited in line for hours but TOTALLY worth it!

The Best "Buns" in Town

By OALP |

Knaus Berry Farm has the best and very affordable cinnamon rolls/buns in all of Miami Dade County. This farm is seasonal and just closed after Easter holiday. Although it will not reopen until late October be sure to stop by at that time. The homemade shakes are delicious, homemade breads are hot and fresh, and the vegetables and fruits are a vegan's dream. Lines are sometimes long but absolutely worth the wait.

Cinnamon Rolls

By YourHelpfulWendy |

I took my sister and mom to Knaus Berry Farm and we all loved it. We were there at around 8:45 am and the line was "not too bad" compared with other times I have been there aftter 9:30am.
We waited in line for about 40 min but the weather was beautiful and Knaus Berry Farm it's such a beautiful place that we didn't even feel the time. My daughter in the mean time got a coffee smoothie and there was no line at all there as well for the coffee that my mom got. They sell their own coffee and it's very good, not too strong and roasted perfectly. The smoothie was delicious with the perfect amount of sugar.
We finally got to order their famous cinabons rolls, I also ordered cheese and garlic bread. Everything was so good that I just wish I could have for breakfast everyday!

We will definitely go back many more times...Thank you Knaus Berry Farm and see you soon.

Not worth it! Super disappointing, lackluster service, mediocre shakes. They get points ONLY for the cinnamon rolls

By Lauren K. |

What an epic disappointment! The cinnamon rolls were amazing, yes, but that’s the only reason they get even two stars. Service was non-existent. The girls working there were unwelcoming and the shake window girl acted like we were annoying her with being there. The shakes were dull, hardly any flavor. Not worth over six bucks we paid for a small. I’d rather go to Chick-fil-a! Also, if you want to go, don’t go when school is getting out (3:45pm on the Thursday we went; not sure if that’s a special time or regular time… seems kind of late). They are right across the road from a middle school and traffic was horrible. What could improve? How about smiles and cheerful greetings? Also, when a child spills their shake because of the funky edge of the bench they tried to set it down on, just give them a new one—don’t make us pay again! That would have been good service. The girl didn’t even comment like “ooh I’m so sorry!” She just said blandly, “Um ok. Did you want to order another one?” Well yeah I’m not going to let my kid’s mistake make them miss out on a treat everyone else is eating. They wouldn’t even give us a small sample of the coffee they sold by the pound so we could see if we liked it. There was another customer who asked for a cup of water and the shake girl told her she could buy a bottle for a buck fifty! Dude, give a little cup of tap water. Don’t be rude! Awful experience here; no idea why they have such high ratings.

By Mel_Medd |

This is one of my favorite places to visit for some yummy veggies, baked goods, shakes & Ice cream, and of course their famous sticky buns! Please, don't miss out on the sticky buns. Also, feel free to stop by for U-Pick of strawberries and tomatoes, availability permitting. This is a cash only farm store and they are only open from November to mid-April.

Unforgettable experience

Best Cinnamon and Pecan rolls in the whole world. We also loved the Strawberry milkshakes and Cheese Dinner Rolls. We waited in line for more than an hour on a Friday afternoon, but it was worth the wait!

By Sanii007 |

The cinnamon rolls are awesome especially when the are warm. They also sale a variety of shakes which is also delicious. They have fresh produce. Please plan your visit during the holidays in advance only because the lines are extremely long during holidays.

By Mai-Lee A |

LOVE this Farm. These cinnamon rolls cannot be compared. Most definitely be prepared with umbrella, chair and even water to wait it out! The kids were able to go strawberry picking while the adults stood in line. The produce is also delicious! Shakes-Line tends to be much shorter and makes for a refreshing appetizer while you wait for the bakery.

German Mennonites from up North that join the local German Mennonite community to open their Bakery/Strawberry Farm from November thru March in the Miami-Dade County area called the Redlands. They serve fresh bakery goods from fresh baked Breads, Pies and their famous Cinnamon Rolls. Also, fresh made Milkshakes and U-Pick fresh Strawberries from their Strawberry Farm.

By ms305gee |

This place is delicious .. From the shakes to the pies and fruit. The cinnamon rolls are my favorite. The kids always enjoy taking the trip and love the strawberry shakes !

The big draw for this place are the cinnamon buns which run less than $9 for a dozen and less than $5 for 1/2. They also sell cheese rolls, plain rolls, pies, etc. This is just the bakery place.
Visited here over 14 years ago. Today the line seemed to go on forever and it never got any shorter than about 1/2 a block.
The next draw are the fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. The strawberries were freshly picked and absolutely perfect! No need to put any cream or anything else. Just eat them off the stem. They are wonderful. Best I've ever had. Mind you, Florida is the only place where strawberries grow in Winter.
Bougth basil, a nice bunch -- can't find it anywhere fresh like that this time of the year.
The yellow zucchini's were perfection. I swear, I thought I was looking at a high definition professional photography where the vegetables are waxed and prepped. None of that here. They were just visually perfect and freshly picked as well.
Bougth some grape tomatoes, so beautifully red and tender.
I think there's "U pick" offered.
Lastly, there's the milk shake, coffee area. Not much of a line here.
Note, Knaus is only open from Nov to Mar.

Great on the drive down from miami to the keys. There was a line when we got there and one when we left. A lot of locals carrying big boxes of bread cookies and their famous rolls.

The fresh produce looked great as well. Too cold to try the shakes.
