This was our 1st time to Left Hand b brewing. We wanted to stop in on our way to Colorado Springs. Of course, we had to stop and enjoy beers from one of our favorite breweries. The beers were fantastic and the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. One if the bartenders (Tyler) was filling in for somebody as was especially gracious. He sat with us as had a beer. He gave us the history of Left Hand and told us what will be coming out soon. He also gave us pointers on what breweries to check out while visiting the Springs. Tyler was great! He def. made our visit much more memorable. Thanks to Left Hand, their staff and def. Tyler, we'll be back to enjoy more great beers.
Stop in, you won't be disappointed!
Cheers!

Three words: Milk Stout Nitro.
Best craft beer in all of Colorado.
Milk Stout Nitro is the best beer I have ever had. A must try in Longmont.

After having been to more than a dozen breweries in Colorado, we finally decided to take a trip to Left Hand. In Wisconsin, we are able to find a couple of their offerings, so we thought it would be fun to see what the locals had access to! We were shocked to find a relatively small taproom and gift shop tucked into the building. We thought a brewery distributing on this scale would have needed more space for the hordes of people who would surely be flocking to the taproom. The beers are pretty good, but they were out of quite a few listed items we wanted to try, which was unfortunate. We still had a pleasant time in their outdoor area and got to chat with a few of the employees for a bit. They were all very friendly and had a few good stories. I think they should consider expanding at some point, but they seem to be doing well. Check them out if you're around!

Have been a LHBC fan for years, first time at the brewery...great beer, food available from a truck in the parking lot (good chicken sandwich!).

Visited the brewery on a Friday before the GABF. It was packed at 11:00am!. Very good beer at resonable prices. Neat set up and fun place to visit.

Love the beer at Left Hand. Came by here after visiting a couple other breweries. Good beer and friendly staff. They didn't have any beer on tap (when I visited) that you could not buy at the store which was a bummer but would definitely love to go back.

There is always a great beer to be had at Left Hand. These fine crafted beers include their flagship beers that you know are always on tap from their remarkable line of seasonal or special release beers. The outdoor patios are a great place to enjoy time with friends or family.

Good selection of craft beers and some amazing nitro. Worth visiting. They also do samplers. Recommended for good beers and great atmosphere

My wife and I recently traveled to Colorado and visited around 10 breweries and Left Hand was our favorite. A must see!!

Wish we could've spent more time here. Such a kool place! Left Hand always has some of my favorite brews. Next time we'll bring friends and spend some time trying out new brews and check out the food truck on hand.
Be sure to do some shopping too. Their tank and tshirt selection is fun!

I like IPAs, so I had a flight. But Tony was very helpful and I tried two stouts. I really liked the Stout on Nitro. Delicious!

Could have spent the afternoon here tasting the assortment of beers. Kinda a hassle ordering. You couldn't order two drinks and bring them to the table unless both people were present and had passed the ID check and starred. Our group was clearly over 21....way over. Just a slight hassle.

I've been enjoying Left Hand's beer for years now (thank you for coming to New York!). I remember their old location in downtown Longmont, but finally got to visit their current location recently. The place was pretty packed, and it has a great laid-back vibe. The Sawtooth Nitro was terrific. I wish that they had food, but we were able order wings for delivery from another restaurant. Keep up the great work Left Hand!

We had decided to stop at Left Hand Brewing Company in Longmont on the way back to Denver. I have been a fan of their Nitro Milk Stout for years and wanted to see the brewery that created it. The location is a little tucked away, in a semi-industrial section, but there was plenty of parking when we arrived there early afternoon.
We had interned to get a light lunch or snack if they had food. there was a food truck that served sandwiches the day we were there and the sandwiches seemed to heavy for what we wanted, so we went in ad stuck with the beer. Service was very professional and I had ordered an Introvert ipa, where my wife had ordered a milk stout after a few samples I found the IPA to not be as hoppy as I had liked, but still drinkable, my wife enjoyed the Milk Stout. I then proceeded to try the extrovert IPA, which wasn't quite as hoppy wither. I found it less drinkable that the Introvert.
We browsed the merchandise area, and bought a few shirts as gifts. The prices were great for how nice the merchandise was. My wife had tried the seasonal saison before we left and said she had liked it as well.
It was a great short visit, and if in Longmont, I think we would visit Left Hand again as well as sample some of the other breweries in the area.

Took Social Distancing seriously.
Our servers were incredible and knowledgeable about their beers. Greeted us at the door and seated us on the outdoor patio cleaned and ready to go. Had a flight of beer and tried the Moscow Mule beer for a summer choice and of course had to try the Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout. Moscow Mule light and gingery for summer. Stout was like having dessert. Make sure to drink water in between to not mix all the unique flavors.

Went here on a Saturday night and it was very busy. All the tables and chairs were full. I had a couple different beers and they were very smooth. There was live music playing. It was a great way to kick off the night.

Sign up for the free tour on line. The tour takes about 45 minutes. Tony was our guide. He stated he had been working at the brewery for a few years (after six months employment, the employees are part owners) and was very knowledgeable. There is not tasking on the tour but you can buy a beer at the bar and take it with you. Even if you don't do the tour, the beer is wonderful and I'm not a beer drinker. I had the introvert which has a fruity flavor.

Class is just what I expected from this brewery. Being a fan of their Left Hand Milk Stout kind of set my expectations for this brewery. We were not disappointed. Very clean property and the appearance of professional management. Great selection of craft brews. Too bad, that they don’t offer more than a food truck.

If you like beer , then go. What a sweet laid back place. Austin turned me on to a tasty flight in which I found the Nitro being the bomb. The pole star was great too. Open doors, decks, great staff, and live music just add to the magic of this place. Can't wait to come back.

Beer was delicious and staff was really friendly. We lucked out and got a nice warm winter day, so we were able to sit on the patio. The brewery was beautiful, if I lived close this would definitely be a hangout for me.

Over the years I have been at the tasting room several times but always during summer time. I like their kind of 'beergarden' area, however it is quite small and often packed with people. In the front of the tasting room is also a small patio.
Inside, I can't tell a lot, I've been there only for getting a beer and taking it outside.
Their selection of beers is really good and I believe there's some brew for every taste.
As mentioned, I like their outdoor seating area in summer, however, I think it could be updated a little bit and real beer tables and benches would make also socializing even better.
BTW, they offer free brewery tours, I believe every day.
All in all, I would recommend the place to friends.

Great beers on tap as expected from Left hand. I've had their beers many times. This was my first trip to the brewery. Wonderful place to meet up with friends. Wish they had a few more snack options, but overall great experience.

The tour guide was fun. The brewery was actually really small but I always think that's more interesting. I found it hard to believe they send their beer all the way to Japan. They handed you a beer right off the bottling line and I thought their samplers were reasonably priced.

Great Beers, GREAT service, it just does not get any better than this! As a 'southpaw' I admit a bit of a bias, but after drinking these brews for 3 years I can say they are top in the nation!

Enjoyed the Left Hand Tap room, tasted several beers and chatted with the bartender who really knew her beers. Enjoyable time with like-minded people.

Make sure you bring your ID to the bar with you, no ID no beer for you! Cool little spot with nice variety of beers. The stouts are my favorites.

Lots of craft beer selections. 4 different flights or create your own. Order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. Indoor and outdoor seating. Take some beer home. Call ahead for tour info. This is a local hangout but there is plenty of parking in back and across the street. Easy ADA access. No food is prepared here. There may be a pretzel wagon or such but pretty much a brew pub.

I had been to the brewery several years back and decided to revisit. As with the first time the people here are friendly. knowledgeable, and accommodating. Great beer and and a warm, welcoming place to sit and ponder all of life's questions.

This place has an amazing variety of beer. For some unusual flavors, try their Ju Ju label. (I liked the ginger).

We loved this place! Great beers and a really fun atmosphere. Nice outdoor space and had a food truck onsite although it didn’t open till 4 so that was disappointing. I had Peach Beerllini Radler and it was so good!! My husband had Juicy goodness.

Their beer is very good, we had a good time sitting and tasting the beer by the fire pit. It’s open later so you can come in after work. There is a person selling Gyoza by the beer garden, other than that there isn’t any food. Small souvenir shop next to it. Definitely a nice place to stop by if you are visiting the area.

These guys were taking social distancing seriously while still keeping customers happy. Folks are spread out over many areas. Some with heaters some without. The beer is always good and the company is who you bring.

Thirsty after a long day in Rocky Mountain National Park my Son and I decided to stop at Left Hand Brewing Company to sample their beers before our drive back to Denver. Their beers are great and have had them in Atlanta. I enjoyed their Octoberfest and a IPA. My Son enjoyed a flight of their beers and really enjoyed the stout. If I had one critical comment was the bar staff was more interested in serving the local regular patrons/friends then serving us. Great beer---cold service!

Stayed in Longmont a few days with this being one of the main reasons. It was a nice brewery to visit. I was expecting to find several picks I couldn't get back home but most of what they had I can get back home. They had just tapped Warrior IPA but I didn't care for it too much. And make sure your ID is up to date. I had a temp drivers license and the manager took 5 minutes to look it over an approve, even though I have more gray hair than the two people I dealt with combined. The little taster glasses make cute souvenirs.

We visited Left Hand Brewing Company on a sunny day. The room was open so that we were able to sit at a table that was indoors, but open to the outdoors.
We tried 2 of the samplers. One was the dark flight & one was a create your own sampler. Most of them were good.
Left Hand beers are one of my husband's favorites. They have a large variety of flavors. Coming to the brewery is a neat experience. They have tours & you can relax & drink a variety of beers.

A friend scheduled a tour here while I was out in Denver. I was very impressed. Their milk stout I've had before and very much enjoyed but being able to try their other offerings sold me on their ability to brew amazing beer!
The tour was fun and something different than just chilling at the bar. Not something you do all the time but it was fun to see how their day to day operations go.
Tour or not, make the trek out here to sip down some well-made beer.

Stop in for a friendly convo. Or a great beer. Or both. Add in a food truck delight on that special day/night. Lots to like here. Space to chill and relax. Eat some good grub and... oh yeah... some great brews. You won’t be sorry unless you pass this place up when you’re In the area. And don’t forget to take hone some merch cuz they got some good stuff.

One of the micro brews to have hit it big on the natiinal scale. I can't think of a beer of theirs that I've had that was unpleasant. Their reputation is well deserved. The searing areas are comfortable and atmosphere friendly. Get there at the right time and there will be a food truck available.

Hometown brewery that offers tasty beer and interesting programs. I learned the history of beer on one visit and on another all you ever wanted to know about hops! Look into these programs! Great beer!

All I have to say is, "What an awesome experience!" However, I need 100 characters, so I can say more. So, off we go: the beer is amazing, but you probably already knew that. If you didn't already know that, get on in there and try a couple (or 6). The tour is interesting, the bar is super cool, and the staff is friendly. This is a must-do in Longmont. Some tips: eat ahead of time and buy plenty of merch.

This was our second time to give this place a try and doubt that we will be back. Their beers are not a good as they are hyped up to be for me. I tried their award willing porter this time and it was not a good as others I have had. The brewery location is welcoming, cool and unique with some outdoor seating.

Left Hand is consistently a great example of local flavor when it comes to craft beer in Colorado. They have just enough commercial oomph to spread their craft beer gospel to the rest of the country and the world while still keeping things feeling local in their taproom and brewery tours. They continue to innovate and offer new beers in established styles, much less experimentation than you'd see at New Belgium up in Fort Collins, however. Great standbys and you can't go wrong with their various nitro beers on tap.

Left Hand Brewing Company is awesome and their tasting room is a must see if you are in the area. Weekends they have food vendors and music (most of the time) Check out their events on their website. If you are riding a bike, it's along the St Vrain path!

Been here quite a few times and I am never disappointed.
They have some of the best brew in the front range. The Milk Stout was the first one around that used Nitro, as far as I know and this company has been around for a good time to. True trendsetters. It shows too. Hard pressed to find a beer I don't enjoy. The atmosphere here is a lot of fun. The staff, almost every time I was here, tries to get all the patrons involved in discussions together. If you like good people and GREAT beers, don't miss this place.

If you like a good stout, this is the place to stop by. Their milk stout is fantastic; not too sweet and incredibly smooth (better than a Guiness). They have many good beers.

My wife and I decided we should visit the local brew pubs and Lefthand is a dependable stop. The beer is exceptional, especially in the Fall, the selection is great and the food trucks are very good too. I'm glad they invited the food trucks.
Seasonal beers are out including Warrior IPA and we really like the Twin Sisters Double IPA, so much so that we bought a growler and took it to a post-hike party where is was enjoyed by several friends.
Most of the tables were occupied, so we intervened on a partial table and made friends with a visiting couple from Niwot and spend quite a bit of time getting acquainted.

This taproom had a large bar and plenty of table seating as well. Big space with modern trendy decor. That being said, the real reason to go is the beer, clearly. The have a diverse tap list and make polished and unique beer. Great place to hang out with friends. No kitchen on site but they are outside food friendly and likely have food trucks at times too. Highly recommend. Only wish they had more of their beers distributed to Michigan.

There are not a lot of beers here with additives and I appreciate this. Very friendly bar staff who are very knowledgeable about their beers which by the way are terrific. Recommended.

Been once already after recently moving to the area. Sat at the bar and had a great time. Very friendly staff and nice selection of beers. Obviously, their milk stout is one of their flagships, but they do some cool variations at the brewery. Fun to try them all.

This place is rather hard to find, but once you get there it's a fun experience. Lots of good beer delivered quickly! Try one of the several beer flights that are pre-selected, or make one of your own--they are a solid deal and a great way to get a bigger picture of all that Left Hand has to offer.

it is very fortunate that my favorite stout is made just a few blocks from my brothers house,

Visited here after a work trip and was very impressed. We went on a Thursday night and it was filled. The tasting was great and I was able to get some reasonable and fun holiday gifts at the same time. The beer club with fun wheel to spins seemed very fun and made me want to live there!

It is weird that the Left Hand Brewing Company is listed in two places on Trip Advisor (Attraction and Restaurant) as it is only a place I would recommend for their fabulous beer and selection. The brewery is a little bit hard to find the first time you go there and try to avoid traffic by not going when the nearby school is letting out. But if you are a Beer Conneussier and are ticking off breweries around the world, this is a must visit! Great beer, great selection (with seasonal selections, Safety Rounds, and Taster Flights) friendly, knowledgeable staff, and it feels like a place the locals enjoy too. You almost feel like the staff is going to say "Norm" when you arrive! You will be carded no matter how old you look, so just get over it, and you might want to arrange for a designated driver, because you get tasting, it's hard to stop! We didn't know about the possibility of a tour until reading reviews on Trip Advisor after our visit, so perhaps that is something to ask for and include on your visit. There's a small gift shop too with some pretty clever Left Hand paraphenalia. As I said, when in Longmont, CO, this is a "Must Do!"

The Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout is one of my all time favorite beers so I had to visit the brewery. It was neat to grab a beer from the home base. What is disappointing is they only offer food truck food. It could be a much better experience if they were to offer their own food. Other than being able to say I have been to the place where my favorite beer comes from it really is not worth the drive to the brewery.

Interesting selection, felt a little disappointed in some of the beer, but the milk stout and nitro were awesome. Overall, a great ambiance and small town charm. A nice place to visit and have a great day of it.

We were given a tour, offered samples of the product. The young man expained the process and where the hops were obtained. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Myfamily is old enough to drink, but that's for some reason not a choice....
Anyway overall the seasonal flight was good, only one beer that was so weird I couldn't drink it. Bubblegum is not a flavor I appreciate in my beer. But especially like that you get a decent pour of multiple beers and the Left Hand company certainly has brewing down. Not my personal favoritebut still some good beer.

A friend and I were walking a trail in Longmont and decided to stop at Left Hand Brewery for a pint. It was a sunny gorgeous Colorado day and the patio was fully of happy patrons! It was a perfect break to our walk. The bartenders friendly and extremely knowledge about all things beer! They took the time to explain the differences between a few choices even though it was busy. Great customer service!
Sun shining, creamy yummy Milk Stout Nitro beer, and there was even a food truck stand in the parking lot serving Filipino Empanadas. Perfect day, perfect walk, perfect beer with perfect food! Could not have asked for a better experience!

We stopped by to see this brewery first hand. Initially, we thought we had missed the hour that they opened, just happened that we were the very first visitors. Always have enjoyed the beer, even living a thousand miles away, but the place filled fast with people from all over the USA and Canada and Europe. Wow.. no idea this beer was distributed so far and wide. Staff was excellent, engaging, informed, and super friendly. Answered all our questions, and freely offered samples to taste. The tour was very unpretentious, and really fun. Gift shop was a bit small, but later found additional stuff on their website. Have always liked their beer, but somehow I now feel like it has never been better. Got a growler to go, and plan to return next visit. They don't serve food, but you can bring it with you, or call for delivery from local establishment.

Went to the sampling lounge. It was crowded. We were finally served. Was it necessary to ask a 70 year old person to show ID to confirm he was over 21? I understand the law, but give me a break.

We happened across this Brew House by accident and were pleasantly surprised! The staff was extremely fun and helpful. They have many beers that you can sample and the price is right! For $4 you can choose 4 beers to try. While we were deciding the gal behind the counter gave suggestions and some samples. I like that they had pretzels on the tables too.
We also had fun trying on and purchasing some of their logo clothing. We're coming back here on our next trip to Longmont for sure!

They have a great variety of beer to sample. We loved the atmosphere and everyone seemed genuinely friendly. It's a must see if you're doing the Beer Triangle.

We recently had a company party at Left Hand Brewing Company and although I don't drink beer, the root beer was very good! The service was quick and the employees were extremely friendly.

Nice place to sit with friends - check out the free music times and enjoy some music with your beer. Ask for a taste of the unfamiliar kinds, and be free to experiment. Food sometimes available on the outside.

This is a great Longmont brewery. My only complaint is that they are very much an anti-dog brewery, which is quite opposite from Boulder county breweries in general.

Left Hand brewery it's by far one of the most socially atmospheric places for a brewery in Longmont. Located right on the edge of the st. Vrain River. This is a great spot to hang out with friends for happy hour or during the day for a nice cold beer. They have live music throughout the summer and concerts on the weekends usually. If you like to tube on a river you can put in at Roger's Grove and Float right down Left Hand brewery stop and have a beer and do laps. The variety of beer there is phenomenal as well as the food.

Great beer but not so friendly bartender. They acted liked we was bothering them. We have their beer back home. Thought it would be nice to see the place No food are snacks. Neat looking bar.

We were expecting to enjoy the beer and the brew pub but were very disappointed with both. Service was good (bar person exchanged a nitro that I really did not like for something else at no charge). However, I found the room somewhat depressing, the outdoor patio marginal and the beer unremarkable. Left Hand used to have good beer. Not sure what happened. Maybe they are just suffering by comparison to some great new brew pubs in Longmont.

Provides a quick tour through their relatively small facilities. The beer on tap is very good, whether you prefer a lighter beer or one of the heavier stouts or Russian imperials (my favorite - a Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout under nitrogen, 10%ABV). The have a number of beer flights available for tasting at relatively low cost ($7 on up). And a good place to sit outdoors and enjoy both the view and the beer. Great staff!

We were traveling back from Moab, UT and decided to make a stop in Longmont, CO to visit some of our favorite breweries. Left Hand was the first we stopped at. We have had LH beer many times back home and we were super excited to actually visit their facility. All the beers are awesome, and there's really something for everyone no matter what your tastes are. We also did the tour which was fun and informative. I even happened to be wearing one of my LH t-shirts that day, and had the bartender tricked into thinking we were local! Definitely stop here if you are in Longmont and are looking for some great beer!

great brews!! nice selection and great location her e in boulder makes it easy to enjoy the goodness of Lefthand!!

We could do without the nasty school marm employee making nasty comments about our little dog which we tied OUT SIDE the fence since this is definitely not dog friendly...They are dog hostile. The other patrons were shocked at this woman's comments. A good study in what happens to a nice brewery when it gets too big...stick with the small friendly establishments. Good beer is everywhere...good friendly service is a treasure. And we were trying to be reasonable by leaving him tied outside fenced garden area. Won't be returning too soon.

Left Hand is a great American entrepreneurial story: Two friends from the Air Force Academy in Colorado decide to open a business, work hard, and achieve unprecedented success! Take the tour, it is charming. Taste the beers in the Tap room, they are great!
Speak Italian with Cincia, the owners wife (he got a big Souvenir in Italy) she is a doll.
A great place to visit.

Good beer, but not really a restaurant, more of a bar that has a limited selection of "bar food." Also very loud and hard to move around in when busy.

Left Hand is one of my few favorite beers. I love stouts and porters, and Im so glad we decided to make the drive! We didn't get in on a tour, but we went to try the different beers. My go to is normally Nitro milk stout, but I loved the Sawtooth Nitro! Food trucks is pretty good-the fried cheese curds and shrimp street tacos were delish!

One of the best breweries we visited during our weekend in Colorado. We did not do a brewery tour but spent a couple of hours in the tap room. The tap room is spacious and the staff was attentive. The beer was really good. The milk stout and the sour were some of the best beers we have ever had. Great outdoor area too. They do not serve food on site except for pretzels, popcorn etc. But during our afternoon visit there was a food vendor/truck outside.

Left Hand’s Nitro is the best stout in the country. Smooth and luscious. Be sure to visit the bar and get welcomed by lovely people. hey give back to the Longmont community too!

Just returned from a visit to the Left Hand Brewery Tasting Room and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a Mountain Flight sampler before taking a tour with Eric, a really great guide. Very informative and casual tour, which ended up being private on a weekday afternoon. This microbrewery is innovative and eco-sensitive, and the beer was terrific - my travel partner really enjoyed Wakeup Dead Imperial Stout Nitro and the Milk Stout Nitro. Highly recommend.

Even though I'm not a beer drinker (just don't like it, love wine, etc.) I have taken friends and relatives here. They always end up taking at least a 6-pack of something home with them -- sometimes a case. And to top it off, the staff are some of the most friendly and fun people you will ever meet. AND they really know beer -- how it is made, differences, all of it. Schedule a tour if you can. Great fun.

The only person who seemed to be happy serving beer was Katherine! The gentleman and other lady didn't have great people skills and seemed like they were not happy to be working. Neither one went above and beyond to talk to us. It wasn't that busy there. More interested in talking to each other. The beer was great. Giving a 3 because of Katherine otherwise it would be 2.

We were traveling on vacation and had to stop here. The IPA and their 2 Ales were my fav. They have a lovely tasting area and fun souvenir shop! Great prices too!

The tour guide was genuinely excited about the product and very knowledgeable about the processes. Unlike some of the other brewery tours I took there were NO free samples. I did by a couple different beers from the onsite bar, one to carry along on the 45 minute tour and one while relaxing with my family waiting for the tour. My Daughter and I both thoroughly enjoyed the two Nitro beers that we tried. The tour is certainly worth an hour of your time... make a reservation as the tours do fill !

Fantastic tour of my favorite brewery. And the tasting room is an absolutely delightful place to hang out with friends while sampling all the taste sensations of Left Hand beers. A must see...and taste!

First, I'm a fan of Left Hand. Really like their Oktoberfest, Sawtooth, Milk Stout, and Deep Cover Brown Ale. But I can get those anywhere. I wanted taproom exclusives and hard-to-find brews. I tried Good Juju, Safety Round 3, Hopfenweiss, and Stranger Pale Ale. Unfortunately, none of those wowed me. I'll keep drinking their beer, but I doubt I'll return to the taproom.

This brewery makes my favorite beer (Nitro Milk Stout) and when we were going to Colorado we added this to our list of places we would like to see. Unfortunately we did not make it in time to attend a brewery tour but we did go to the tasting room. The tasting room, which is like a regular bar that serves only Left Hand products. We enjoyed some beer in the tasting room, picked up a t-shirt from the souvenir shop and even picked up a 12 pack for the hotel. I really wish we could have had a brewery tour but we'll do that on our next trip.

It’s funny to compose a review of one of the places to put your town on the map. But that’s what this is. Left hand is one of the crown jewels of Longmont and fantastic place to go and get a beer. Even if you’ve never been there before, visit to the tasting room is worthwhile. Flagstone and Wood makes for a cool place to drink great beers, both literally and metaphorically.
I’m not sure that it’s possible saying of great things about this brewery. Go there. Hang out. Drink some beer.

The beer is good and cold the staff friendly and helpful. Not a really big place however in the area and like their beer. You can buy a flight of beers you can't get outside so it was a good adventure. The beers change and they keep some limited ones. Looks like a fun place with a outdoor area to relax as well.

We went on a Friday because it was warm and I needed a beer and they had food trucks scheduled to provide food. We ordered Fish and Chips and made our way into the Brewery to partake of their wonderful beers. The fish and chips were great and the beer we chose was an excellent pairing. It was an enjoyable evening.

First, a little bit about the build up to this visit:
One of the first craft beers I had and liked saw Left Hand's Milk Stout. I later had their Black Jack Porter and loved that beer too. Left Hand's beers were not available in my area until about a week before I visited their brewery. I also follow them on Facebook, and felt a special connection after watching and rooting for them when the nearby St. Vrain Creek flooded. I drove to Longmont from Denver during my visit from California with this place in mind.
Now, the actual visit:
When we arrived, the bar was full, but the outlying tables were empty. It was a bit difficult to discern where to order, but we figured it out once someone else lined up. When it was our turn to be order, the guy who was helping us did not look like he wanted to be there. His face was just slack and he looked like he wanted us to just get our beer and get out of his face. I asked a question about one of the beers, mostly to break the tension, and his answer was minimal and evasive. This guy did not seem like he was a regular bartender, more likely someone who makes the beer or works in the warehouse that got stuck there. His attitude was so bad that it set things on a bad path.
We waited as he miscalculated the stout pour and had to dump it and restart. He began to fill it again, then set it down to let the head settle and went to do something else. He never returned. Our flight sat there with a missing beer for a couple minutes. Then, other bartender grabbed the half full glass and filled it up, but took it to someone else. It was clear their attention was on other people (locals?) who were seated up at the bar, and we really felt like an inconvenience to them.
A few minutes later, the bartender who took the stout noticed us standing there and asked if we needed someone. We explained that the other guy took off and never gave us our last beer. She apologized, and said that she may have accidentally taken it. She made some quick small talk, which was a credible attempt to humor us, but it was clear that she was wanting to leave during the entire 30 second exchange.
Our visit was very frustrating. I tried not to read to deep into it, but it's disappointing when you travel a long way, probably only once, and the service is abysmal. I felt like the focus was on locals. Those are the people who provide the bulk of the business for the tap room day to day, but it's the people around the country who buy the stuff and spread the word, and a brand's reputation is heavily dependent on it's service. So, whoever the guy was that assisted us needs to be utilized in a non-people facing position, or trained on how to interact with people better. From the first interaction, he single handedly killed it for us.
Good beer could have saved the day, but sadly, it did not. I did not order my favorite beers, hoping to experience some different brews that are only available locally. None were noteworthy, and I disliked Good Juju. The Russian Imperial Stout was not as good as I hoped it would be. I searched for one that stood out, and none did for me. I'll usually go up and get more until something tickles my fancy, but it wasn't worth interacting with that guy again.
Sadly, I won't recommend this tap room to any of my friends, despite the great decor, cool branding, and neat location near the creek. I'll still drink the Milk Stout Nitro and the Porter, because they are undeniably delicious, and I may even try new beers that come out, but my feeling of connection to Left Hand is lost.

Ended up rerouting a planned trip due to snow and landed in Longmont. Went straight away to Left Hand and were lucky to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Staff was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about their products. After a flight we selected larger servings of a number of their beers. Staff was very accommodating and provided small samples to make sure we would like what we picked. Definitely recommend checking these guys out. They are not the biggest player on the front range brewery scene but they produce world class beer. Word to the wise - make sure you have your id as they check everyone regardless of how old you look. Found that was the same at all the breweries. Guess the lawyers have made it so difficult it is easier for all these operations to just card all comers.

This is a great brewery. There are spots inside and out. The beers are fantastic. They give you a card describing the beer and it's characteristics every time you order (very helpful! Why don't all breweries do this??). The bathrooms have cool doors with hops, barley, etc., in glass and when I commented on it was told those are actually recipes! How cool is that? Very friendly, personable bartender who stayed positive even when he got slammed. Definitely make the drive. Oh, and there's a walk by the waterway right outside the brewery in case you get there before it opens, or want to walk around and clear your head when you're done

As new customers who want to check out a different type a brewery, we were surprised they only paid attention to the locals. Beer was meh...:.

Very loud and after hearing about this brewery from several people, we feel as if the beers were just ok. No fantastic ipa’s. The peanut butter nitro was very good

It's neat to get to the 'birthplace' of one of your favorite beers. Great service, of course good beer.
The food truck outside provided some nice French dishes. We tried some fried potato waffles with some variation of duck confit over the top. Tasty.

Longmont has an improving and very real food scene. Left Hand is one of the crown jewels. The owners met in Europe (he in the Army, she is Italian) and they bring the old world craft traditions to Longmont. I've participated in their 'Ales for Females' tasting series, among other things, and was so impressed by their knowledge and sourcing of ingredients, suggested food pairings, etc... Favorite beer: the Milk Stout (on a nitro keg)...oh my. The location is a couple blocks off Main along the creek, but has ample indoor and outdoor seating/bar height tables and a tremendous local following - always a good sign. I lived in Longmont for 25 years...so my travel date on this review is irrelevant. Food included pretzels, last time I was there, and an occasional food truck - so if you are hungry call ahead to see if it's there, otherwise plan on eating nearby.

Great brewery with two Nitro beers on draft (and many other regular drafts). A flight is $7 and there are 3 to choose from -- or you can build your own flight for $9. I highly recommend the Sawtooth, on Nitro of course.

Went here this past summer, wasn't expecting much from a small micro brewery however this place surpassed my expectations. The tour was casual but very informative of how the beer is processed and manufactured. From the fermenting to the packaging, you saw it all. The tour guide was very nice and easy to talk to. If your in longmont, definitely give this place a try!

Brewery hopping in Colorado and came across Left Hand Brewery. We have had the Milk Stout, but none of their other beers. It was nice to be able to taste something different. The tasting room is lovely. Nice space that opens out to a great patio area.
We opted for a flight. The flavors were amazing. Great IPA's, Chainsaw, Fade to Black, Sawtooth, all just wonderful and well balanced. So glad we did that. Great beers. From IPA to stouts. We love craft beers and always find these tasting rooms are full of energy and interesting people. Staff was friendly and helpful.
We thought it was dog friendly, but found out it was not. Wish the website had that info handy. But it was a great time anyway!! If you are into good craft beers, and different beers, you need to try Left Hand Brewery.

Nothing is free but the pretzels. Service is super lacking for 5 bartenders pouring beers. They offer all of there beers as long as it's tap, you can not drink a bottle on premise. Which doesn't make sense if it's a pay bar with even the samples being $1. Nice grounds but not worth the trip for a quick tour and to buy beer. Local beer store is quicker and cheaper beer.

You can visit many a microbrew in the Boulder County area but this is THE one with a family feel...in a good way! Great beer may be the draw, but sincere customer service and an atmosphere of fun is evident with every employee, with every event they host, with every frothy mug served. Nothing better than sitting in Lefthand's outside patio area on hot summer day wetting your parched whistle (as the saying goes...who said that anyway?). Visiting Longmont? You gotta stop in and experience for yourself...even if you're right-handed! :)

This is a local microbrewery in Longmont which has won several awards. They have great beer. If you are in the area you need to go here.

A Longmont landmark, LeftHand just got done with some major improvements to the building, with a whole new patio area outside, new taps in the back, etc. They have solid brews here and a friendly staff and atmosphere. Be sure to get a growler - the deal can't be beat.

We've been beer club members for years. The beer just keeps getting better and the folks behind the bar know their stuff, are friendly and anxious to make sure you get the beer you'd like.

Wow, just got back from 9 days in Colorado. My wife gave me the birthday present of throwing two disc golf courses a day and visiting two micro breweries a day. While down in Black Forest at a micro brew the brewtender made it a point to tell us about Left Hand Brewing Company. Well if someone is adamant that you should visit another brewery thats over 100 miles away, you have to go. And I am glad we did. We visited 18 breweries and this is easily in the top three. We got a flight of the dark beers, sat out on the patio on a beautiful night. The beers were full of flavor. Each one was so unique that we couldn't decide on a favorite. It is very rare that we found a brewery that we ordered a flight of five beers and every single one of them was delicious. Actually, it happened only three times out of the 18 breweries we visited. So Left Hand Brewers... whatever magic you are working with those hops, keep doing it. It is truly awesome. Thanks

The building is cute, the staff was friendly, and the beer was great. We are from Minnesota, and only have one or two Left Hand options, so when we found out we would be in Denver for a day we decided to visit! Well worth the trek! We got to try all of the beers that we had been eyeing on the internet and none of them disappointed! We also picked up some swag because you can never have too much swag.

This was our last stop of 4 breweries in the area. It is a good staple last stop. While it was quite crowded we still got a spot in the bar scene. We each had a flight of beers. You won't be disappointed by the Sawtooth Ale or the St Vrain Tripel. A perfect stop to our day!

I absolutely loved this brewery. It was not what I expected. I was surprised to find a fairly well known brewery to be so small and cozy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the crowd was just as nice.

New to Longmont, Left Hand Brewery was high on my list of places to stop and have a beer. I knew the beer wouldn't disappoint, I mean Left Hand Brewery has set a pretty high bar for beer, but I wondered what their outdoor/indoor area for tasting their brews would be like.
With a nice creekside setting, they put the outdoor seating in the front of the building by the road instead - aside from a sort of "parking lot" seating area improvised for the Days of Covid. Regardless, the front, roadside seating is nicely done, as is the side seating, and was enjoyable enough. I did note that some outdoor heaters are hanging about for when the weather gets cold -
The food truck of the day was about Tostadas - okay food, okay prices, but nothing to write home about.
Bottom line, Left Hand makes great beer - buy it, and enjoy it at home.

This place brews the best porters ever! The Black Jack and Weak Sauce are favorites. My husband enjoys all their other brews too. It is fun when they have live music or the local food truck pulls in. On the downside, I am now spoiled and don't usually bother with having a beer elsewhere.

After long drive from KC we headed straight to Left Hand. One of the best breweries in Longmont. Tasting room is small but they have great outdoor area & food truck. Beer is excellent. Started with tasting flights - reasonably priced at $1.50 a glass. If you can only hit one brewery in Longmont make it this one.

I now have a new respect for the brewery process! The gal who did our tour did a nice job, I only wish she would have talked a bit louder as we had a large group and it was difficult to hear at times. Whether you are a beer lover or not, it is worth going to. They have a food truck outside the building and they allow you to take the food in. The schedule of which food truck will be there is on the website. I was very impressed by Left Hand's charitable contributions!!

Tony was our tour guide and he was great! One of the better brewery tours as he supplied a lot of history regarding the founders and the location. Fun tour and the beer is amazing!

We sat outside and drank some fantastic beers. The bartenders where friendly and talkative, the other customers were sociable too. It felt like I was at a local pub mingling with the regulars. Everyone wants to be there and truly loves the joint. It felt like the kind of pub you want when you’re new to an area, the kind there used to be before everyone started to just sit around looking at their cell phones or watching tv. I wanted to stay all day.

We were really expecting more. Visited on a Thursday evening and the place was mostly empty. Two different outdoor seating areas were available, but both had views of parking lots.
Zero vibe.
Ordered our beers at the bar and gal serving must have been having an off night. She wasn’t rude - just distant and not interested in her patrons.

Lefthand Brewing is one of the few places we have found that reminds us of a pub in Ireland or the UK.
There is a very friendly atmosphere among the patrons and real community feel with the staff. You feel welcome wether by yourself, with co-workers, out on a date, or brining your family in to enjoy their great patio filled with games and great seating.
The beer is outstanding and a large variety of exquisite craft beer. There are flagship beers you will always find and then you have a tremendous selection of seasonal, special session beers and even beers collaborated with by other breweries. You never know what you might find but you will always find at least one you love!
You can tour the brewery for free on the weekends.
You can bring in food and often there are local food trucks there with wonderful choices for sale.

This is a very nice brewery to visit with plenty of good beer for all. We went on a Sunday and it was crowded but plenty of room. Service is good and the beer is better. If I have any complaints it would be that the gift shop prices are crazy. $25 for a cheap t-shirt? Ouch. Oh well didn't buy one. A great place to visit and hang out.

I have gone to a lot of brewery's but this is the best. My favorite is Sawtooth but they have many great one's on tap and changing out for new ones all the time. Nice venue.

My traveling partner and I are 70 years old. My companion had her drivers license renewed one week prior to our visit to Left Hand Brewing and had not yet received her new drivers license in the mail. Her new valid paper copy was left at home but she carried her old picture drivers license that had been voided and had expired two days before. She was refused service to purchase a beer. No exceptions they said. No valid ID, no service. 70 years old and refused service to purchase a beer, I could not believe it. Rules are not laws and there can always be exceptions made, but evidently not here. I will not recommend this place, ever return, or purchase their beer again. I am a craft beer fanatic but never again for Left Hand Brewing products.

Took friend a from Chicago to Left Hand as was his dream, Loves their Milk Stout! The tour is very informative and fascinating to hear how a local business has stayed local while growing globally. The beer garden outdoors is one of our summer faves as locals.
No eats, only great brews and a real treat for beer aficionados!!! Highly recommend, bring your own food or eat ahead of your visit suggested, you can call ahead to reserve a tour & check to see if there are special events of which there are many! :) Cheers!

Our merry band of beer drinkers stopped first today at Left Hand Brewing in Longmount. I like Left Hand but am not the number one fan of the brewery. However, Left Hand consistently brews pretty good beer—just nothing that I've fallen in love with.
We settled in and shared several samples at the large high top tables that fit our entire group.
Possibly the coolest bathroom stall divider of all time
I started with the Blackjack cask porter that was good but I preferred the Wake Up Dead Russian Imperial Stout, as did my wife. These were the highlights event though we tried Milk Stout, Chainsaw Ale Double ESB, Haystack Wheat German wheat, Polestar Porter, and Octoberfest Marzen Lager. Overall, the beer was as expected: well brewed, all good but falling short of great for me.
Fun stop with the bathroom being a weird highlight. The stall doors were made of different types of barley put into the frame like sand art. While a very odd conclusion from bathroom art, it's caring for the details that shows how much pride a brewery has in itself, which often transfers to the beer. Left Hand is taking care of business, and, by the full tap room, locals are very happy with them.

Had a food truck outside, great environment inside very welcoming, we sat outside on the patio area. I appreciated that they options for shaded areas, good selection of beer and the staff was very attentive.

Really fun spot to stop for a beer. Wonderful beers with friendly staff. Outdoor and indoor seating with over flow parking across the street.

My daughter and I came across this gem a number of years ago while riding our bikes. Since that memorable day, we have made the Left Hand tap house part of our community. This is a place where you spend time with friends. Enjoy the nectar of the beer gods. Celebrate birthdays. Bring visitors. And enjoy life. This is what truly makes community great. Enjoy a pint inside or outside. Your among friends.

Visiting breweries in the area, this one was on our list - beer was good, service was good. Small and quaint!

My wife and I scheduled a tour of the brewery. We arrived 15 minutes early, as instructed, and spoke to a male bartender to let him know we were there for the tour. He took note of our arrival, poured us a couple of beers, and said the tour would start in ~15 minutes. The bartender spent the next 30 minutes talking and drinking with the locals. Besides the 3-4 locals at the bar, my wife and I were the only people in the place- not hard to spot.
After being neglected for 30 minutes, I went to the bar and asked a different bartender when the tour, now 15 minutes past scheduled time, was going to start. They said they didn't know anyone was here for the tour and one of them reluctantly gave us the tour. We had a hard time enjoying, as we were in a bad mood from our delayed start.
The male bartender ruined our experience at this brewery by forgetting about us and instead deciding to drink with his pals. Then charging us full price for our drinks.

The beer was awesome and the service was laughter, not just a smile.
I had a great time talking and getting sunshine and fresh air on their patio.
Gorgeous women were everywhere!

Beer is ok, Left Hand just isn't one of my favorite breweries. The real downside to this location is that they don't serve any food. There are food trucks there occasionally, but don't count on it, and with them being tucked away, not really a place where you can walk and go get food. If you're looking for more than just drinking on an empty stomach, Oscar Blues and the Pumphouse have better beer - and awesome food.

I arrived early (12:15pm) on a Wednesday afternoon and it was nice and quiet. Was curious about the nitro peanut butter milk stout and the pecan porter and was given samples of both. Ended up enjoying a pint of pecan porter and milk stout, bought a shirt, and was given enough stickers to plaster half the road signs on the drive home. I drove about 500 miles just to have a milk stout (true story). Sure I can find it at home bottled and on tap but wanted to support the brewery in person and recommend stopping by if you have a chance.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon while heading to Fort Collins. They had a great selection of their beers available and plenty of room both inside and outside to sit and relax. Service was good and I would really like to visit again and stay longer next time we travel to Colorado.
Cheers!

Visited over Memorial Day weekend. We had an excellent time! The beer menu is extensive and service was outstanding. Left Hand was my entire reason for wanting to visit Longmont and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

If you are on a northern Colorado brew trip, this is a don't miss. There is a large selection on draft, being an IPA fan, I was very impressed with the Extrovert IPA. The pub , as mentioned, requires an ID, regardless of your age, so be sure to bring it along. Nice selection of tees, magnets, etc. outside seating area. I give it a full thumbs up!!

I've always been a fan of LH beers so when I moved to Longmont, CO, I was pumped to be able to drink my favorites fresh from the source. The atmosphere is great and its a great place to meet friends after work. They have a great assortment of LH gear to pick up on your way out as well.

Stopped in today on our visit with our son great service and good brew staff very nice and gave us great info on the brew making we will be stopping back

Three days in Denver for GABF and we're taking a road trip North picking up bottles and a little sampling along the way. After New Belgium and Odell in Fort Collins, had to stop by Left Hand on the way back. Great place with some really nice beers. Outdoor seating and indoor seating.

This place was super packed on a Sunday afternoon. We had to park across the street because there's only limited parking right outside and no street parking.
It had a great atmosphere. There was a band playing and giant Jenga going on outside. If you get to 40 levels you get a free round.
We managed to find a table out the back section. There were also plenty of tables outside but not many people willing to brave it.
Two of us got beer flights and two got pints. The special valentines stout was nice. I didn't like the introvert IPA. The others on my flight were good though.
They only have some snacks to purchase but you can BYO food or order delivery in if you want. We ended up going elsewhere to eat but was having such a good time we were seriously considering getting a delivery.

Lefthand Brewery is not a restaurant. It is a place to sit and talk with friends while drinking great crafted beer. Sit outside and watch the sun go down, or you can sit on a high-top inside if it gets too chilly. Either way, it's good ambiance, and there are a lot of people coming after work or on a Saturday afternoon. Also, you can be in your 40s and come here and not feel like it's a 20-something type bar. Limited parking but easy access parking across a very small street. They have peanuts if you're really hungry, but mostly just come to enjoy the beer. One of the few places in Longmont worth going to.

Weekends Friday and Saturday offer a variety of food trucks visiting Left Hand. Afternoon tours are informative. My favorite is the Nitro Milk Stout which is so smoothly delicious. A sampler of a variety of Left Hand products is always a winner. My favorite food truck is from Wyoming offering fish and chips which is comparable to some of the best in England.

Tried four different craft beers. Great way to figure out what you like. Sat outside...Very pleasant. Need to bring something to eat. Sometimes there's a food truck there but not the day we visited.

This is a huge brewery.....liked it more than the Coors tour. I also love that they have the beer I enjoy most. They also have a lot of merchandise available. One shirt I liked was $75, so I left without it. Overall great beer and service. Also, prepare to be carded....good for you guys!

I have long loved the milk stout, so call me biased. We swing in late (8:30, closed at 9), but they served us up a pint right quick. The merchandise area is pretty extensive, and there is a lot to choose from. Wish I could I have stayed all night!

We are beer snobs, plus we like people brews. These guys are gems of a worker owned success story and they are awesome.
Take the tour and hear the story of their success and the good things they do socially. Then kick back, drink great brews and listen to local musicians.
We went elsewhere, but wish we would have stayed put, right there.
They have a food truck, so no worries about yer tummy! 🍺

The reason to go to a brewery is to see how things are made and try the new things it has to offer. The bar service at Left Hand was excellent. We got to try some new beers. And we got to try some cask beers. My wife was reluctant to try a "warm" cask beer. But sampling the cask versus the same beer out of the tap, she preferred the cask beer! The company store had some cool gear. What was also nice were the regulars at the bar. Since only snacks are served, they suggested a place for us to eat and other breweries. Honestly. I can not imagine how Left Hand could be any better!

Friendly place to get together with nice people and as family-friendly as a brew pub can get. The stouts are the Best, and I've tried a few. Careful of some of their stronger brews; they are smooth enough to deceive you. Trust the server when they serve you a smaller glass. No convenient overnight parking, and cops frequent that part of town, so....

A welcoming atmosphere, the staff were helpful when we didn't know what to pick.
We picked one each but then saw other ppl ordering the tasters and I wish I had done that they look so cute all lined up.
The food truck parked outside was awesome, those ribs..... yum.
Wash it down with your fav beer that better way to spend an afternoon :)

I was so excited to visit, I've been enjoying their Milk Stout for years and wanted to get it straight from the teet... or tap, as it were. BEA-utiful facility with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The obligatory food truck parked outside, Ice cream, I believe. We were greeted by a nice man, provided our documentation of drinking age and proceeded to consume.

Try their sampler or have one of their excellent brews. Nice atmosphere and friendly folks. Prices are average. Great selection.

OK, so we visited on a Friday afternoon, so shouldn't have been surprised by the place being packed. We tried the sample flights, one light, one dark. All good, but none really great -- should have stuck to our favourite, the Milk Stout. Lots of clothing and other momentos, if you forget you were there...

I'm in love with the peanut buttermilk stout. But sadly we have to break up because I live in oklahoma. Beautiful place. Great knowledgeable staff and the beer is delicious. I will come back again for sure

If you are interested in seeing the production of beer, here is a great opportunity. The tour is conducted by the employees and they really know the answers to all your questions. They start and the beginning of the production to the end of the bottling area. They have a tasting room where you can sample the products they make. Food is available before or after your tour. If you are planning to go, reservations are required. You must be of legal drinking age to do the tour. I have been to other breweries, but this one is one of the best tours.

I have been there twice and left feeling that I had a great experience. This time, Patrick gave us a personal tour that was a blast! Did not have any bad beers. I wish that they had food also, but just pretzels.

We almost didn't stop here, but we're really glad we did. My husband and I did a tasting and found the beer to be really great. The staff was all very knowledgeable and was able to answer some really off-the-wall questions. We also did a tour, which was very thorough and again, led by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. This place is straight beer, though, so look for food else-where. They didn't have a food truck the day we stopped in.

The place is super cute with a great outside area. Great place to hang out and order a pint. The price was fair. The beer was good but for me, not great.

Great place. Many new brews to sample. My all-time fav is Nitro-Left Hand Milk stout, followed closely by Saw-Tooth Nitro. Great staff. Horrible stools but worht it for the beer.

Came down from Up NORTH where the land of Micro Breweries is strong, and visited this little brew spot nestled right next to the ST. Vrain. Good beers good atmosphere and very friendly staff. They had a special event going on that night and they let us stick around to watch the live band even.
If your going check out the Pilot beers they really impressed me!

We enjoyed lunch from food trucks at the brewery one week day. Our initial bar server was really nice and helpful. The 2nd guy was a bit of a stick in the mud. The beers were extremely tasty and they had a lot of risky/experimental choices. You have to pay cash unless you spend $25 or more which is kind of high, but that's fine. I am sure the food trucks vary, but we had the wood grilled pizza and tacos that were excellent.

My son is a fan of the Wakeup Dead Imperial Stout Nitro. We were flying into Denver to head southwest for whitewater, but decided to detour and drove to Longmont first. The town is charming, with a lot of excellent restaurants (several with LHB beer on tap). The brewery tour is very interesting and the tasting room and staff are knowledgeable, informative, and fun. If you enjoy beer, this is a must visit. Well worth the detour.

My hubby is a lefty so I happened on this brewery to buy him a shirt left with some great beer a shirt and some glasses! Fun times!

Went on line before my trip and found over 200 breweries in Colorado. Whittled it down to 3, and this was 1 of them. To take a free tour you have to book it on line. Emmy was our tour guide and bar waitress. She really knows her stuff and seemed so very proud of her job and of the brewery itself. She just gushed talking about the place. She is a keeper. Tasted many of the beers and enjoyed the milk stout as probably one of the best beers I have ever tasted. When I called the Denver tourist bureau, for the fun of it I asked one of the girls what her favorite beers was. Well it was Left Hand's milk stout. Had to to go to the brewery and I was glad that I did. Worth the short ride from Denver.

Good beer, good conversation since I go with friends. Would have been nice if they served some kind of food. The fact that you have to eat before you go or after you leave is somewhat inconvenient - hence the 4 stars.

Left Hand Brewery is a great way to experience a little taste of Longmont. This inconspicuous microbrewery taps out fresh flavors right at its brewery location so you get a firsthand sip of its liquid creations. My fav' is 'Good Juju', a lighter brew with a hint of ginger. Don't knock it until you try it! Great place to meet up with colleagues after work or the answer to, "Hey, honey. Let's go grab a beer!"

They had a nice variety of beer, you can buy cold beer there, and they had a gift shop. We didn't do the tour because we had children with us. I dont know if it was just Saturday thing but they had food truck there. Really glad we made this a stop.

We drove over from a couple days in Boulder because we love the Milk Stout. The tasting room was nice with a decent couple of patios. The tour was the best part though.
It was 45 minutes but flew by, and it isn't the typical one-room tour you get at most breweries. Our tour guide Tyler was knowledgeable, laid back and entertaining. They bottle and keg their own beers, which made for a really fun behind-the-scenes look. Tyler even bought us a beer after to thank us for coming on his tour.
I'll go back whenever I'm in the Denver area.

My friends and I love this place. Very simple, order at the bar, bring the drinks to the table yourself, but it doesn't claim to be anything more. Good live music, friendly service, great beer and pretzels!!

Nick was very informative on the tour. Great history lesson. Beer is very good. Milk Stout Nitro is a winner. Very creamy. Polestar Pilsner is a crisp, lighter beer which we enjoyed. Well Played was available to us...a nice red IPA.

Went to Left Hand yesterday with my son. Ladies serving were most helpful. I decided on a flight to sample a few of the brews. Good choice. Friendly people, and a great Longmont spot.

They have a nice seating area for you to relax and enjoy your favorite brews. The outdoor patio is awesome in the summer months. The location is near the St Vrain river. Before the flood it made a great stop for a bike trip. On special days they have live music which really adds to the amazing atmosphere. This is one of our favorite places.

Beer is just OK. Service is typically slow. Not dog friendly. I like other establishments more. Expensive for Longmont.

Not only does Left Hand have amazing beers, the service of the employee owners is awesome. You can tell these people love their job and their company and it shows. The tours are engaging and very interesting and informative. They spend a lot of time with you showing you the equipment and explaining how things work and answering any questions you have. And the beers...did I mention the beers? Personal favorites are their barrel series, all of them. Their 25th anniversary Imeperial Stout is amazing.

Great beer. The milk stout was definitely a five. We highly recommend. Several good beers on draft to choose from what

This brewery is a must! Some of the best brews with friendly, knowledgable staff! If you're looking for food eat before or after as they only have minimal snacks. Enjoy a flight or jump right into a pint of Milk Stout Nitro. You will NOT regret it!

Milk Stout is what I am coming back for over and over. Nitro now on tap of course, but for me the old milk stout still does the trick. One of the best stouts I've tried.

I only came for a t-shirt but they gave me some samples, yum, yum!!! It was only 20 min out side of town. Go at 2:00 no traffic.

Being a local this is one of the best kept secrets of Longmont. Great place to relax on a warm afternoon.

I love the diversity of different beers. If you are unsure what to get they offer several different types of flights.
Plenty of places to chill, inside and outside. Friendly, helpful staff and overall nice community feel to the place.
They usually have a food truck, but they also have a folder with places you can order from and have the food delivered to the brewery.

They have done some remodeling so you can sit outside too. Lots of local brews on tap and a nice presentation of beer flights. They have bands at different times and participate in a lot of local fundraisers. Out-of-towners will get a real feel for how Coloradans 'do' it. No frills, no make-up, no heels, just a nice place to have some great beer and socialize.

The beer is out of this world. You have to try their Milk Stout. The bar tenders are very helpful, kind and friendly. Its a place where you feel good vibes from all the people in it.

This place is so cool. It is amazing that a small company like this can and did get world wide attention.

Drove to Longmont to visit the Birthplace of Lefthand Beer. Cool small bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Took 45 min. Tour of small warehouse next door where beer is brewed, staff was very friendly and you got to bring your beer along. No free samples or food. Found out later that actual bottling facility is somewhere else. Good beer, but facilty is about 10 to 15 min. drive off I-25.

We absolutely love going to this place. So warm and inviting. Always a new event and great live music, but the tasting room staff is what makes this place the BEST! Knocks every other tasting room out of the park!!

Great beer and atmosphere!! Has indoor and outdoor seating weather permitting. Not really a place to take the kids.

The beer and the service at Left Hand are wonderful. This brewery is very community minded and they often host events for non-profits. It is located right next to the St Vrain Greenway, so ride your bike and enjoy a great brew. I wish they could accommodate visitors with dogs...

LH has always been a favorite although I'm an east coaster so I couldn't miss the chance to visit the brewery when I was in Longmont recently. As it turns out, the brewery is maybe 1000 feet from the company that I was visiting so it can't gt any better than that!
Place was packed with a lot of locals that were obviously having a few after a day at work. I started with a Sawtooth, tried the 400 lb Monkey, and a few others as well. Guys and Gals behind the bar were great, all new their beers and brewing and kept the conversation going strong with all. Locals were super friendly and overall experience was great. Can't wait to stop in again!

Having been to quite a few breweries, I have to say this is my favorite. I do love their beers, so maybe I'm a bit biased. It has a mountain-town feel, which seems to be common for the fun spots in Longmont. The staff is super friendly and low key. Would have like to take the tour- will be back!!
Sidenote-although we didn't order, we loved that they had to-go menus available for places that would deliver.

Sat outside on a pretty evening while vacationing near Denver. Husband loves their Nitro Stout purchased in Missouri so of course we had to stop by. Tried samples, enjoyed some of their seasonal offerings & bought a xommemoratuve glass. We did not tour the facility but it looked like you could do that. Had a food truck outside for a quick bite.

If you drink beer and don't know of Lefthand, shame on you! If you do know of Lefthand and haven't been to the taproom there is something wrong with you!
It's an institution in Longmont and well beyond. Don't miss it if passing through town. Sawtooth Nitro ... aah!

home brewed beer with a great atmosphere and patio perfect for relaxing in the evening. They host a modified farmers market in the summer and various food trucks.

No TVs. Just great beer, community and Colorado vibe. Consistently excellent beers and I have been to a lot of festivals with me-too’s claiming something special. Nitro Stout. Sawtooth Pale Ale. Left hand has the upper hand on beer that stands out from the now flooded craft beer market.

Nate gave a very very thorough tour. My 28 year old son loved it but when we came upon a sign “done”, I really wish I had been. Nothing against Nate. The beer was delicious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, very friendly atmosphere. I’ll be back!

I am on vacation traveling Colorado and had stopped in to try some beer from LeftHand after having one at a local pub the night before and learning it was close by. I must say, it was phenomenal! All the beer and the atmosphere was great. They have delivery menus in the taproom since it is just that and they don't serve food-they do have pretzels and nuts though. Awesome space, awesome beer, awesome people!

They have multiple beers to select which you can select for yourself what you want in your sampler taster tray. When you select your beers, they provide little description cards so you can track which beer is which, a great plus. Only negative is these are beers that can add up in ABV and there is no food, just bar snacks. So prepare and plan for yourself before or after!

Lefthand, hands down has the best selection of great craft beer! My husband & I booked a tour here while we were visiting Boulder for our anniversary. This was my second time to take this tour. With as much beer Lefthand produces they have an impressively smaller facility that has a truly genuine family friendly staff. Nitro Milk Stout is my absolute favorite beer & to enjoy it straight from the tap was fantastic. The tour was free & was roughly 45 min long. Be prepared to be indoors & outdoors for portions of the tour. They do not offer food, but do offer tasters & have a great selection of survivors. We would highly recommend this tour if you are in the Longmont area. You can book a tour online too.

I have been to this brewery several times. They have an open space and a tap house on the same street within a very easy walk from each other. Big parking lot across the street. Many beer choice at the tap house and a slightly reduced selection at the open space. Overall, LOVE this place! Dog friendly outside areas, great beer, lot's of families and beer lovers. A must stop for beer lovers if near longmont.

We visited and took a tour the day after Thanksgiving. Tyler was a knowledgable and personable guide, and answered all questions with a smile. The beer was tasty too! I can recommend the pilsner and ale personally.

Great beer and atmosphere but if you are sitting outdoors cars whiz by and not much of a view. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking

Left Hand has a great tap room. There’s almost always a special beer or two on tap, in addition to their usual selection of great micros. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, live music at times and usually a food truck as well. Longmont has a great selection of microbreweries, but Left Hand is one of our favorites.

I enjoyed visiting the Left Hand tasting room. The staff is super friendly. Being from out of state, my visit gave me an opportunity to sample some brews that I can not find locally. Great atmosphere, good beer, how can you go wrong?

Had family visiting from Iowa and we did a Boulder County Craft Beer Tour. I'm not an IPA fan but this was a favorite stop for the friends and family I was with. They loved it and the staff was Awesome. Huge selection of their beers and a great patio!

Stopped in for a couple of free samples, loved that they have to ask for id no matter your age, good selection of beers including seasonals. A must see if you are in Longmont and you are into the craft beer scene.

Can’t go wrong here so many beers so little time! Service was spot on and very helpful, great bar food, brats and more. The pub has a wonderful outdoor seating, with fire pit and lots of room. Added bonus the detour on the bike path leads straight to this place!

We arrived on a busy weekday. Tour buses and a food truck greeted us at the entrance. Everyone in our group of 4 ordered a beer and had a great time sitting outside and enjoying the weather. We went home with t-shirts we bought in the gift shop. Great beer and great visit!

Left hand brewing is very near our property so we stopped by for a beer one afternoon. They seem to have endless types of their beer. It was hard to decide what to have. The two we decided to try were very good. This place is always busy so they must be doing everything right. We enjoyed the place, atmosphere, and the beer. A good place to visit for a cold one.

Left Hand Brewing Company in Longmont is not only a very good producer of tasty beer, but a fun place to go and listen to a variety of music. Not to be missed.

Yes, I am somewhat of a beer geek but also just know what I like when it comes to drinking beer.
Left Hand has been an old favorite of mine since they opened, way back in the day. I still love their beer and tend to compare others to the quality, taste and selection they offer. I can say, that unlike some other breweries, I can drink anything Left Hand has on tap and enjoy it. My personal favorite on a nice Summer Sunday afternoon is still a Sawtooth Nitro, just saying.
Anyhow, if you're passing through town, don't miss it. Great folks, great beer and a friendly laid back atmosphere.
Drink more beer!!

We found this little gem to be enjoyable. Good beer, fun atmosphere. A little BBQ sandwich food truck helped with a snack too.

Left hand tasting room is a must see if you are a beer connoisseur or just curious! The tour is great but make sure you show up early to get a spot. They will also give tours to groups with advanced notice. TOUR TIMES
Mon – Fri 1:15pm, 2:15pm & 3:15pm Saturday 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm & 3:15pm Sunday 1:15pm, 2:15pm & 3:15pm - See more at: http://lefthandbrewing.com/brewery/brewery-tour/#sthash.VpIaLQFQ.dpuf
The tasting room is great, it's common to find live music happening and a food truck or 2, great outdoors spaces to hang out and enjoy a beer in Colorado sunshine. Don't miss it!

Love, love, love Left Hand Brewing Company. After 4 years in Germany we were excited to have some stout again. Left Hand NITRO Milk Stout, that is! Friendly staff, always fun!

Had a chance to sample an assortment of beers. Took a tour of the facilities and the process of beer making. Great seating areas inside and out! Fun place. Live entertainment setting up as we left.

Attended a Ales for Females events a couple of times. Some are pretty crowded. Also enjoy the patio in the summer, right along the St Vrain Greenway walking path its a great stop in the summer : ).

I'm a big fan of their beer. My go to when I can't decide what to take to a party.
Because of this, visiting Left Hand was a must. I was disappointed. The beer was great, but it was just busy and the staff didn't seem to give the attention to make you feel welcome.

We traveled to the Denver/Boulder/Longmont area specifically to tour and taste craft breweries. We managed to check out 9 breweries in 4 days and Left Hand Brewing was our favorite. We rated the breweries on Beer Selection, Beer Quality, Tour/Access to brewing, and finally Vibe. Left Hand hit 5 stars on all 4 categories. Our tour guide Tony was like our new best friend in Colorado. The tour was fun, interactive and informative. Their beer selection had a nice array of traditional and innovative. Every sampling was great. We tried: Introvert, Extrovert, Good Juju, Sawtooth Ale Nitro

I love Left Hand. Been there a number of times and always have a great time. Staff is fantastic, Especially Lauran and the beer is world class. Highly recommend for any craft beer person.

You can not get beer anymore fresh than at the Left Hand brewery. Dozens of choices to choose from and in the summer its a great spot to hang outdoors and gaze at the Mountains while sipping your beverage.

Don't miss this place, it is great fun and interesting to visit. It is centrally located and has a great tasting room.

My husband and I visited this brewery at the end of December. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. Jeremy was the beertender, and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He really made our visit a great one!
The beers were so good when we were there! We really enjoyed the Mexican Hot Chocolate one, and I really hope Left Hand makes that a regular beer (or at least a seasonal one!) - it was sooooo good!
Overall, we really enjoyed our visit here and would highly recommend coming here if you're in town!

fantastic beer! Kind of a must go to when in the area! you gotta try the milk stout on nitro, so smooth. Only downfall for us is it's a pet free brewery.

Just a good place to go with friends and drink a beer. Casual and relaxed. They also have a lot of live local music.

We drove out from Estes Park on a whim because of the name! <Picked up CUTE taster glasses with left-hand print insignia as gifts for our leftie friends> It was a lovely drive. There was a band getting ready to perform for the afternoon. And, there was a group of young mothers with 4-5 year old girls celebrating a birthday! Very low-key family feel. We tried several beers and especially enjoyed the Peachillini (it was a HOT summer day!). They were out of the porter we wanted to try, but they recommended a delicious milk stout nitro instead.

Do you love beer and sunshine? If so then Longmont is a great place to visit and Lefthand will fulfill your needs! There is indoor and outdoor seating, a wide variety of lefthand beers to drink, there may be a delicious food truck, and there is a nice walking/biking path next to the st vrain river (or left hand creek?) It's a great place to chat and drink and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors. It doesn't get better than this!

Read up on them. They are quite inventive and refuse to be swayed by the big boys.
They have great local history and always give back to the community.

So excited about visiting my favorite brewery! Being from the south east it is hard to find a lot of craft beer from the west. We are able to get (finally) the Nitro Milk Stout in cans at our local Bearden Beer Garden, but to be able to have a draft right from the brewery is AWESOME! Plus I got to try a lot of their other beer. 32 samples!
Staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining their beers. Was disappointed to find they were out of some of the IPA's which is another beer that I like.
Lots of seating inside and out. Lots of goodies for sale.

We biked to Lefthand Brewery and enjoyed several beers. We also shopped in the gift shop. The service is fairly quick to get a beer. They have a great outdoor space with lots of patio tables and even 2 bean bag toss games for entertainment. There is not a kitchen on site, but they have food vendors that come in and set up, so you can order some snack foods.
We love going to Lefthand and feel lucky that they are located in our hometown! Lefthand hosts many events throughout the year, including Ales for Females and charity concerts. If you are in Longmont and are thirsty, this is a must!

Very friendly brewery with some unique beers and very friendly staff. We had numerous tastes of some different sounding beers - some with CO2 and some with nitrogen. We all enjoyed our beers but perhaps a frozen glass would keep the beer cooler as we drank outside in the Boulder area heat wave. Food is available from rotating food trucks with limited selection. We also brought some food in from elsewhere. Dog friendly area available as well. Worth the trip and loved the MILK STOUT!

Left Hand Brewery is a great place to meet new people and sample tasty brews. It's also a great place to meet for bike rides because when you get back you can quench your thirst with a great beer.

Our family stopped by to tour the brewery after trying one of their beers at a local restaurant. Very cool place. The tour was pretty basic but informative. Cool to see how small they started and how they are growing. Tap room was busy, has a nice outdoor patio with tables and a couple corn hole bag games and a small gift shop. Beer was excellent...had the sawtooth.

We were in the neighborhood and had limited time, but had to stop by for a cold one on a recent weekday afternoon. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and more than willing to show off their recent medals from the Great American Beer Festival. We passed up the opportunity for the tour but will come back another day. The tap room is comfortable but compact. There is a nice patio outside for nicer days, and a larger back room for groups. Oh, and the beer was fresh and tasty too!!

One of the early Colorado microbreweries. Great beers including their classic Sawtooth Ale to their cult favorite Milk Stout among many others.
Wish they would get a restaurant going there, but you can't have everything.

The Left Hand Brewing Company is a craft brewery that's been in business for 22 years. Produces numerous labels including award-winning porter, stout, pilsner and bitters. Indeed, the brewery just won still another batch of medals at this years Great American Brew Fest. Visit and take their great tour. And once finished, go to the tasting room. It's far more than a tasting room and is affectionately referred to as the state's own version of Cheers. It's the in place for people to go and after a couple of visits, "...everyone knows your name."

Top 5 brew tours I've had the honor of being a part of. Enjoyed a beer on the tour and experience the Left Hand experience. Highly recommend this phenomenal establishment.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, energetic, and friendly. The jalepeno cream ale was phenomenal! Highly recommend the company as a whole.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable, let us see the whole production line, interesting history of the brewery.

We just love this place! Fell in love with the 400 pound monkey brew. The staff is incredibly friendly and there is plenty of room to hang out and relax. Great gift shop too. Will definitely be back.

Good place to hang out and drink some good brews! The employees are attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the outside seating areas.

In the words of Opa, "Das Schmekt!"
Eric and his team of Beer Meisters (and Meisterin) nail real beer here at their Longmont location on the St. Vrain. The water is clear, and the beer, well, it's as good as it gets - and when Opa says it, you can believe it. The Polestar is crystal clear, light and full-flavored; with no room to hide any imperfections. The Sawtooth, amber and rich, the Milkstout ... well, let the gold medals speak for its flavor.
Besides the great beer, the team of professionals at Left Hand make this one of Colorado's best craft breweries, with a great taproom, personalized tours, music and foodtrucks. Every one of the staff will take the time to explain not just the flavors in your flight, but the process behind the making of the beer.
Left Hand is growing - and is contributing to my growing waistline. And I don't begrudge a single drop!
Ausgeseichtnet!

Great beers and great environment. It was a Saturday night and they had a band and a food truck so pretty much all bases were covered. Beer was pretty great, and I don't even like beer that much lol... The sweet stout was my favorite.

We made several brewery stops in the region and this was our favorite. It was like a neighborhood pub where everyone talked to everyone, and the bartenders were very friendly. Nice music. And the beer was excellent! Because of our experience, we will definitely be looking for more Left Hand beers.

Still my favorite tasting room! Staff is always knowledgeable in beer styles and offers great suggestions. Always great beer on draft!

Left Hand is most famous for their Milk Stout but I really loved their Sawtooth and their 400 Pound Monkey Pale Ale. The tasting room is great and they give free tours! Be sure to take a brew with you on the tour!

Made this a must stop on our trip as my boyfriend loves their Nitro beers. Smaller tap room than I expected and their merch was on the expensive side, but overall we had good beer and a good time

Comfortable place with great beer. A local favorite that we try to go to every time we’re visiting family in Longmont. No real food offered other than pretzels sold in bags, but you come here for the great beer! Try several, you’ll be impressed!

Excellent beer - it needs a restaurant. If it would have decent food attached, it would be 5-star. Maybe they can get the local food trucks to participate, but a good sit-down eatery (nothing fancy) would make this a great stop.

We had a great time hanging out at the bar to try some new beers from one of my favorite breweries. Great merchandise and the beers never disappoint. Staff was good but not great

We enjoyed having thier Milk Stout and thier Nitro Milk Stout. The brewery had is small but comfortable. I would enjoy going here again.

I am so glad I went here. Great beer selection, great merchandise and Very proud Owners and Operators of this little/big brewery in CO. I was blown away by their delicious beer and great looking facility. The ONLY thing I wished is if they had given out samples to the tours but I can see you just can't give out 100's of gallons of beer daily, they're not Bud or Coors. All in all I was 150% happy with my experience. We even met a delightful couple from OKC. If you all see email we'll get back to you. My wife's email is was frooty1970 not fr00ty. Two o's not zeros. Haha

Porter is one of the best ever. Stout nitro is great also. Nice place, good location. Talk with the brew master. Super guy. One of the great beer places. Probably the best of the front range. At least of the ones I have been to. Most of them

Its Left hands so its a must stop. Didnt get to tour 1st tour is at 1:30. Good merchandise. I had the milk stout Nitro it was yummy

It started as a small brewery, grew some huge silos, and Longmont put the bike path on the St. Vrain right alongside the property. All light wood paneling inside, with friendly folks and a food truck right outside to grab something out of the ordinary to take with you and get a beer. Good place to meet a local.

We stopped at Left Hand on our way to Ft Collins to visit the plethora of breweries. After we visited several breweries during our visit and Left Hand was by far our favorite experience. We buy Left Hand products at our local liquor store due to our awesome visit. The Polestar Pilsner is a great beer. If you are a person who loves to hit a local brewery, Left Hand is well worth your time!

Great quality offerings. Left Hand has their flagships but also explores and test new variations like juju. Left Hand produces consistent quality beers. The prices are inching up but still a favorite to visit in Longmont. Pet and family friendly. One of the options that Left Hand offers is 5 oz pours which makes tasting more beers easier and reduces the impact of high octane offerings

Good value on flights if you want to try different things. Nice set-up for flights with cards for each beer ordered. Overall, GREAT beer!

We visited left hand a few days ago and came for the tour. Keegan was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He seemed to have a great knowledge of the all things in the brewery. He showed an interest in what he was doing and was an excellent speaker. After the tour we had a flight of beers. Bartender gave us a rundown of each beer. Good times!

The tour is well done. If you aren't familiar with the brewing process, our tour guide did a great job of explaining the process. You see the commitment of the employees, because it is an employee owned company. You can even buy beer to go. Great marketing and great beers.

Saw all the cars and stopped by, glad we did. Super friendly customers and good, cold brew in a clean, happy atmosphere with a view of the mountains. What's not to like? With so many breweries in Longmont, this is one you DEFINITELY must try.

Hi I am a Longmont local, Left hand regular. I have always like the beer, the atmosphere, and the staff at left hand. My wife and I floated and walked the St. Vrain to Left hand today and got in about 3pm. We walked through the gate and into your gravel patio. We found a nice open table on the patio next to the front door. Luckily there were not many people there yet and the patio was only about half full. We were getting ready to go in and get some drinks when someone came out and said you can't have your dog on the patio. The dog was tied to the cast iron fence by the front door and was laying on the ground next to the table. I said really well I will tie her to the outside of the fence and we can just stay at this table next to the fence. He said no she would be blocking the bike rack. The bike rack holds about 30 bikes and there was only one bike on the rack at the time. I told him I was not going to block the bike rack but instead tie her to the fence where the left hand emblem is near the front entrance. He said no we had to leave. It was very upsetting to go through all that trouble to get to your brewery to be kicked out for having a dog on the patio. Tell me what harm was she doing laying on the ground by our table tied to the fence? After this incident, I will not be coming back to left hand.

Left hand Brewery is kinda tucked away but once inside there are many patrons drinking various types of beer they brew. I don't think they serve food. I do like the outdoor patio!

Left Hand is a nice, friendly place to visit. They also have good local music. If you want to have a drink and you don't like beer your only other choice would be a soda.

We arrived around 4 PM on a Saturday to find a messy table with the previous guests' trash, glasses, and signed credit card transaction originals lying there. I cleaned it up and returned the credit card transactions to a grateful bartender. Bar was chaotic but we were able to place our order at the bar. No cider choices on the menu for those who don't like beer. My flight was perfect. Recommend this to ONLY beer lovers. The rest will go thirsty.

Friendly brewery great service..bartender answered all questions on the different ales and suggested with help of a sample that made our selection easy. Super outside sesting..and a sunny Colorado Day!

Stopped by to check out the variety of beer at left hand brewery found ourselves sitting on the outside patio enjoying a great afternoon in the colorado sun. Found a couple favorites on the beer and few we wouldn't try again. Had a great afternoon.

My husband's favorite brewery has always been Left Hand! Finally I got to take him to the brewery for a tour and taste from the tap!! The staff was soooo friendly and Emmy was out guide. She was VERY knowledgeable in ALL things beer. She sounded like my homebrewing husband!! The atmosphere in the brewery is very clean and everything in it's place. The taproom was crowded with lots of friendly travelers and locals. We had a great few hours and hated to leave!! We will be back!!!

They have some delicious beer and an ever changing food truck supply! Too many bicyclist for me but hey, that's Boulder County for ya.

I love Lefthand Brewery but mostly for the Sawtooth Ale which I believe to the best beer around. This place is lively, hosts ales for females group night, and is all around a great place to hang out.

An institution in itself, when I informed a friend that I was visiting Longmont, she immediately stated that I needed to visit the brewery. I am glad that I did because I now know why it is considered an institution, nitro infused beer – sort of like Guinness! A relatively small place, looks like a converted log house, but it’s homey and the beer outstanding.
I’m a visitor so it doesn’t affect me, but not being dog friendly seems so out of the place in outdoorsy Colorado, thus the decrement in rating.
My visits to the area will include a visit to the Left Hand Brewery.

Went to Left Hand Brewery for my birthday from Indiana. Great beers. Great atmosphere. Would love to come back again. Must go.

My husband loves Left Hand Milk Stout so we visited the brewery on his birthday. The tour was fun and educational. They have a lively bar and a patio. We had a "tasting" of all of the beers that they offer and they were all GREAT!

They have a nice tap room with a very nice patio. Get lots of fresh beer, brewery schwagg, and good times. They do not allow dogs inside or on the patio as of last summer, so make sure to plan accordingly. We ended up not visiting the first time we went here because we couldn't bring the pups in. Planned better for our return visit a couple months later. I recommend the Nitro Milk Stout if you haven't tried it!

What an awesome visit I had at Left Hand Brewing Company. I loved everything about this place! The staff was over the top friendly and super knowledgeable about beer. I had signed up for the tour but couldn't leave my stool and leave the nice beers I was enjoying.. This place has the vibe I like and is the reason I enjoy visiting breweries as I travel across the U.S.
Thanks L.H.B.C.!!!

Milk Stout and Milk Stout on Nitro best there is. Enjoy the atmosphere and the bar area. Laid back and mellow. Can sit and enjoy their brews for hours.

Did the brew tour on the trolley and we stopped here. The place is nice. Good selection of beer.
I'm not a beer drinker, but my buddies liked most of their beers.

Even though they are primarily a brewer, they have a fantastic setup for a bar and outside patio area.
You will not be disappointed with the beer either! large selection for every palate.

Okay...maybe this wasn't Heaven, but it's close! I love Left Hand brews! Great tasting room. Nice options for flights of beer. There was no table service when we were there, but that wasn't a problem. No food here, but there was a food truck with some BBQ right near the door. Bathrooms were clean. Crowd was pleasant. I'll stop again next time I'm around!

We went to get a left hand brewing beer glass for my left handed daughter and stayed to taste. Our hostess, Mary B, welcomed us and explained the different beers that are made on site. Then we began tasting. There was a really nice selection and different tastes. We ended up buying four different six packs as well as our left hand brewing beer glass and a tee shirt. We also were ready to adopt Mary and bring her back to Kentucky with us to explain the different beers to our friends and family. If you like beer and you are in the area you may want to stop in. We plan to try to go back to take a tour of the brewing process. This was an unexpected pleasure.

Great stop for a quick beer. Don't expect food. Maybe find a food truck but on the day we were there = zero. The staff could order a take out sandwich from nearby. Beer good - but no snacks to go with it.

they were one of the first in the craft brewing explosion in colorado and continue to impress. nice well decorated taproom with friendly staff.

If you like good beer with good locals head over & have a taste of some great colorado brew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great beers, nice patio, pet friendly. It was really busy when we stopped in, had to find a spot to sit. The patio is where we ended up. It was nice but some fans to get the air moving would have been clutch!

I enjoyed the Left Hand Brewery tour way more than the famous brewery in Golden (had to stand in line an hour for that). Our skilled and very knowlegable guide was great. Enjoyed sampling their beers including a very unique "Beet Cancer" brew.

My aunt brought my wife and I here and we were not disappointed. They had a lot of cool beers on tap and were willing to let you try anything. There gift shop is pretty pricey but everything else isn't too bad. If you're in Longmont, you definitely have to try Left Hand!

Having moved from Colorado getting back to the land of Craft Beer was terrific. Left Hand Brewing did not disappoint. Always great beers and thrilled to have gotten their Oktoberfest beer.

My husband was extremely happy with the beer selection! Not much to offer the DD however. A glass of water or pop would have made the experience pleading to both of us.

The tasting room at Left Hand Brewery was a really cozy, welcoming place to grab a couldn't-be-fresher beer. We tried the Good Juju (which has a hint of ginger flavor) and the Sawtooth (their flagship Amber lager). Both were pretty great.
The tour is short but worthwhile, as they really give you a great sense of what the company is all about, and what they're trying to accomplish.
Just an FYI - they have a $25 minimum to use a card at the bar, so if you're not planning on spending much, bring cash.

Took the tour with a fairly new guide. While she didn't know all the answers and the technical terms eluded her, the tour was interesting. The best part was the end, sampling. I believe tours should always give a free sample and this one doesn't but you can try a sampler tray or ask for a tiny sample of any of their tap beers.
I loved the outdoor seating and while they don't have a restaurant, a food truck is directly out the door and they will bring your order to your table. I have never tried a nitro beer so I tried both the milk stout and milk stout nitro. The nitro was smoother but tasted flat to me. I liked the regular milk stout better and the Black Jack Porter was a close second. The Sawtooth Ale was also a winner for me. Our friends enjoyed the seasonal Octoberfest lager and Good Juju which is a ginger beer. This is a great place just to stop for a brew and catch up with friends.

I stayed in CO for 3 nights and went to a variety of breweries. This was my favorite place! I love their sour raspberry/lemon beer! The service was great and I really enjoyed the vibe here. I recommend checking it out! Several beers on tap to try!!

The atmosphere is fun and comfortable, the flights are generous and the beer is just plain great. We're in Longmont for 8 days, we've been twice already and plan at least one more visit before we leave.

Some of the beers were ok but the rest were average in flavor & Taste. I went with my brother & my two sons & they feel the same as I do.

I'm a fan of lefthand beer to begin with so I stopped by their brewery. They don't have a lot of beer that is exclusive to the brewery but they did have some of my favs on tap with Nitrogen. The Nitro versions are better than the carbon dioxide versions I'm used to. Friendly staff, good beer.

We went one night for a quick beer. As we noticed there was entertainment, we stayed for 2. Nice place, friendly people. Wish there were food available though other than the food bus outside.

Beer stop number one when we hit the Boulder area and started north towards Estes Park. My wife and I shared a flight each and had a pretty good time while we were there. Service was great and I felt like the beers were above average for a typical brewery visit. Not sure we will make it back as there are always more places to visit but I definitely recommend that you stop in and have a pint.

Long day of hiking and brew hopping started in Boulder, Avery and last stop 30 minutes before close we made it to Left Hand, which was #1 on my list for our trip. Thought we wouldn't swing it, but super glad we did! Great spot with tons of seating, merch and a ton of seasonals and experimental brews on top of their normals. Anytime you see "Black Mamba" on the chalkboard, you know this place is legit! We sampled a couple of brews in the limited time we had, bought the standard koozie and brought home a case of the Left Hand goodness. Definitely swing by!

If you like craft beer and happen to be in Longmont, Left Hand is worth visiting. The tour is free, but you should make a reservation ahead of time as the tour is limited to 10 people. The tasting room offers all the Left Hand brews and you are able to take a pint on the tour.
The tasting room is open to the public and has a small gift shop. You do not have to take the tour to enjoy a beer and visit the gift shop.

Lefthand offers a great beer selection...if you like beer. My husband does and he likes them fairly well. I'm not a beer fan and so there isn't much for me there unless I bring my own wine or get something to drink from the food truck outside, all nonalcoholic.

This was one of my favorite brewing tours. Lots of fun. The events they have at left hand are a blast as well. Ultimately though, I come here for the beer! Not only is my favorite beer here and fresh, the bartenders are knowledgable and very nice. Very much worth the multiple trips we've made here. Keep doing what you do, Left Hand!

A great place in Longmont to snag a seat on the patio, try small-batch and nationally distributed beers as well as take a brewery tour.

Left Hand Brewing Company is a wonderful place to have a good homemade brew. I like that they have a fundraiser every summer for lymphoma and leukemia. They have eight to ten cover bands from all over and raise a lot of money.

We spent an evening at Left Hand Brewery sampling some of their beers and enjoying the music of Kort McCumber! Awesome combination!

I was the DD for my friends on a day of visiting local micro brews from Boulder up to Ft. Collins.
They had nothing for me to drink but water out of the tap. Yes I understand the majority of the people who would visit would be drinking a beer, but come on at least the brewery we visited in Ft. Collins had free seltzer like water that I was able to enjoy.

We are stout and porter people and wow did they have superb beer, many were on Nitro and super smooth. The people behind the bar were extremely knowledgeable about the beers we chose for our flights and of course the Milk Stout on Nitro is untouchable.

Since I moved to Colorado, I've made a point to regularly stop into Left Hand for a beer. I often go to meet friends or meet family. It's one of my favorite places to introduce new visitors to the area to!

While visiting my son in Denver we decided to stop out for a tour - we're no strangers to Left Hand's amazing Milk Stout. Enjoyed our tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide who not only knew his stuff but had the people skills to match. Everyone else in the tasting room was equally knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for the tour, tasting and good brews!
Lefthand is a local favorite. Been going there for years. They always have a new beer to try. However, they are sometimes small batch brews and they tap runs dry quickly. Great place to hang out with friends and have a cold one. Several award winning beers that are staples at the tap room. Many times they have food trucks to supplement their beer with some food. Check them out, all of the locals already know about this place.
