This was a wonderful tour. The grounds are beautiful and the staff make you feel like family. I would highly recommend adding a stop here.

Excellent experience. Great tour. Beautiful property. We went in winter time. It was well worth it. Dipping your own bottle was the topper of the tour.

Great tour. Guide was tremendous. Enjoyed the tastings. Cool to dip my own bottle at the end! Very enjoyable experience.

We loved touring the beautiful grounds and experiencing the beautiful art works, include special Chihuly glass exhibit. Learning about and seeing the bourbon making experience was truly interesting. Our guide Noah was terrific—personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed tasting various bourbons and dipping our bourbon bottle in the iconic red wax in the gift shop. And the cocktails that we sampled in the (gorgeous!) bar were top notch.

Great distillery- beautiful grounds and very neat to see where Maker’s Mark is made. We were able to enjoy touring in the evening where we had the opportunity to enjoy great weather, food trucks, and great cocktails. Bonus - we were able to dip bottles we purchased in the gift shop!

Excellent experience. Our tour guide Laura was both funny and very informative. Grounds were immaculate and beautiful. We dipped our own bottle together. Highly recommended.

The tour was incredibly interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable about the history and process behind the making of Makers Mark.

Best experience that we have had in a while. From the front staff to the restaurant staff to our guide (she was the best). The knowledge of what was learned for how Makers Mark is made and how it was founded was very good from our guide. We had a small group so it was like we had a very personal tour. As an ambassador, we got the golden ticket tour so we were able to learn so much. We got two tickets for free due to the ambassador golden ticket, but we had to buy two other tickets, they are not that expensive and well worth the money spent. Our tour was 1.25 hours but we were there early to eat at the restaurant (highly recommend) and then wander the grounds a little before the tour started. The entire staff we met were great, friendly, fun, enthusiastic, and right there to help. It was not overly crowded this time of year that we went which made it even better. Highly recommend visiting Makers Mark.

Amazing experience! Art and history everywhere. The grounds are beautiful with historic buildings and sheep and gorgeous plants. Chihuly exhibit was perfectly spread out around the grounds. And the bourbon was pretty good, too! The guide Michelle was knowledgeable and so funny. Loved the shop and the shuttle was the cherry on top!

Beautiful site, way out in the country. Tour saw many sides of the Maker’s brand - from bottling lines to historical discussion. I am active duty military and was in town for work. Maker’s provides complimentary tours for military and veterans, which is much appreciated!

Beautiful campus in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature and art. Informative tour guide. Learned a few things I did not know. Loved the tasting and how explained the best way to sample.
The tour guide was very informative.
Hand dipped bottles. So much fun! Because of the tasting, we found a new favorite bourbon

Fantastic bourbon experience! Art exhibit a plus! Fun watching them dip! Not excessive walking like some others. Beautiful grounds. A classic!

Our 2nd time there but this time as ambassadors. The Golden Ticket tour was awesome! We signed a barrel 7 years ago in August 2018 and it was ready for us to get bottles from it. We dipped our own bottle in the wax and got a behind the scenes tour. Our tour guide, Laura, was awesome and made it a memorable experience.

Incredible experience. The grounds and facility were very clean and beautifully done. The people that worked there were very helpful. The product goes without saying.

Wonderful experience. Very professionally handled. The glass exhibit, the food, the cocktail samples, the check-in was all handled flawlessly.

The view was spectacular and we took tons of photos and just enjoyed the tour and history. We will most definitely be back.

The Maker's Mark property is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Maker's Mark history and distilling process as we walked around. The tasting was very nice, and we were lucky enough to be there when the Chihuly exhibit was also there.

Tour guide was good . Grounds was beautiful. Food was fantastic. Visitors center was beautiful. The drive was beautiful. This was my 2 nd times visiting this beautiful distillery.

We went for the Chihuly exhibit, however, a trip to Makers Mark at any time is lovely. The grounds are impeccable, the feeling from the staff is always warm and welcoming and the art work displayed is a mini museum experience.

We had a great time learning about how the bourbon is made & Maker's history, Laura, Laura, Laura our tour guide was amazing! The apple butter old fashioned & lunch was amazing! The chuilih artwork display was beautiful as were the grounds & gift shop!

Took the ambassadors tour of Maker’s Mark. The grounds, facilities and guide were amazing. There were only four of us, so the tour was made more special. We were able to see the entire bourbon making process from milling the grain to dipping the bottles in red wax. Did several bourbon tastings as we toured the various facilities of MM. There are several full size colorful horses on the grounds, together with beautiful Chihuly glass sculptures to view also. Would highly recommend a tour whether is an ambassador tour or one that is purchased.

Tour was awesome! Enjoyed learning more about the bourbon making process as well as more about the history behind Makers Mark. The site is incredible and the added beauty of the Chihuly glass exhibits enhanced our tour. Of course, we very much enjoyed applying the wax seal to our purchased bottles of 46 Cask Strength. Andrew was a great guide. It takes a bit to get there (out in the sticks); however, well worth the extra drive - was a highlight of our 10 distillery visits across 3.5 days.

Amazing grounds, staff and facilities. Very impressed with and would highly recommend friends and family to come visit. Doesn’t hurt that the whiskey is delicious also!

A little away from the concentration around Louisville and Lexington, this is nevertheless worth the miles. The story is well told with lots of detail.
I learned about their single mash bill and the wild yeast strain. The use of the staves for the Premium Select was interesting. I liked seeing the bottling line with the wax dipping by hand at the end.
The grounds are beautiful and the Chihuli glass ceiling is impressive.

Very educational learning about the process of making Marker’s Mark. Did not know the Oak barrels used by Marker’s Mark were virgin barrels and only used once.

We had so much fun at Maker's Mark learning all about the history and process of making one of our favorite bourbon's. Kim was a knowledgeable tour guide and answered all the questions the group had. We saw everything from the mash to the bottling, even though on a Friday afternoon, some of the lines were down for the weekend. The tasting was informative. The marketing at MM is brilliant.
We also had lunch at the farm which was very good. Great service, delicious food.

The Ambassador program is a must do if you like good Bourbon. Great people who are proud of what they do and want to share that joy!

The Maker’s Mark Tour is an incredible dive into the history of bourbon making and the brand, all while touring a well-preserved Victorian village. The guides are enthusiastic ambassadors and storytellers. Our guide Laura kept us laughing the entire tour while imparting a deep understanding of the bourbon process and operations. The tour ends with a tasting and a chance to purchase and then dip your own bottle in that famous red wax. If you are on the Bourbon Trail or only have time for one stop, I highly recommend touring Maker’s Mark. This tour is so good you might even want to do it sober.

Don't miss this one. The property and facilities are stunningly beautiful. The tour is very comprehensive and fascinating. Laura, our tour guide really made the whole experience unforgettable. She is very informative and has a great sense of humor. We had 4 Maker's Mark ambassadors in our group and got to do the "golden ticket" tour because our barrels from our trip 7 years ago had matured. We got to purchase bottles from our batch and buy and hand-dip bottles labeled with our names. It was so much fun and gave us great souvenirs to take home and share with family. Be sure to sign up for the ambassador program. It is so well worth the time to sign up, and it's FREE! If you can only visit one distillery, this is the one! I've been to about 20 and Maker's is by far the best overall experience.

Very cool experience! Would definitely recommend the tour and having a lunch afterwards. Laura our tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable.

Had a great experience with Bailey as our tour guide. The Chuhily exhibit was stunning. It was cold outside, but we had a great time.

Not your typical tour, in all the good ways! Highly recommend. Ethan was fantastic, informative and friendly. We were able to visit different parts of the property which was cool.

An exceptional experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, courteous, and patient.
The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The glass exhibit was such a wonderful added element.

Maker's Mark is the go-to distillery for beautiful location, great tours and fantastic bourbon. We have been there many times and are never disappointed.

Excellent friendly staff. Lots of fun. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Well maintained facilities. Guide was very knowledgeable and very funny!

The grounds are beautiful and the tour was informative. You are able to sample 4 different tastings and if you buy a bottle you can dip it in the wax for no extra charge. Taylor did a really good job! We were able to see a lot. Just note that if your tour is around noon the line takes lunch so we missed seeing the line working on dipping and labeling. The restaurant was also unavailable due to the air conditioner being repaired but they brought in a food truck. There is also a shuttle that will take you back to the parking.

It was a beautiful drive to get there, an excellent tour, Chihuly glass was a stunning bonus and our guide Logan was amazing!!!

It was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide Matt. I loved the background history of Makers Mark. I will definitely go again for the tour and tasting. Makers Mark is set in a beautiful landscape and town.

I am a Maker’s Mark ambassador (if you’re not, sign up for free right now!) and my barrel was ready in March. Our 7 year wedding anniversary seemed like a good time to visit. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The ambassador tour was the perfect length (just over an hour) and you get to try so many versions of Maker’s Mark! It was so neat to be able to dip my bottles at the end, too.

Whether you drink Makers Mark whiskey, or not it is an extremely great experience to learn how it was made in the history behind the brand. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

A wonderful place great for couples is something for anyone to enjoy i love the ambassador event, everything is top notch

Came back after 7 years because my ambassador barrel had matured! Took my golden ticket tour and it was awesome. Our guide Laura was great! The upgrades here since my last visit are nicely done. Tour was easy to navigate and they let my dog tag along. The grounds are very scenic with a mixture of nature and art! We will return!

Great tour given by Chris. Grounds are really nice. The entire experience was top notch. The restaurant and food were awesome as well.

Fantastic tour - Jeremy was an excellent guide! Be sure to have lunch in the restaurant - it is not to be missed (eat all the bread - from the bread plate to the bread pudding)! And be ready for some delicious cocktails!

Best distillery tour we’ve ever taken. Informative and interesting and feels very much like a family run business despite the world-wide sales of their products. Added bonus of seeing a Dale Chihuly exhibit throughout the already beautiful property.

One of the best tours in Kentucky! Matt is a wonderful guide and made our experience so much fun. The distillery is beautiful!

This tour was amazing. The grounds and the glass art by Chihuly were beautiful. Our guide Jeremy was so funny and informative.

The place is breath taking and the tour was so full of history and knowledge and getting to dip our own bottle at the end was special to us. The taste testing was fun and educational.

Our visit which included a tour and tasting was absolutely amazing. Our guide Chris was extremely knowledgeable and made it easy to understand the whole process. The facilities are beautiful and inviting. There was a bit of walking involved which was great for us. We couldn’t have found a more beautiful setting in which to walk. I’m so happy to leave with my own personally dipped bottle of bourbon. Oh, and the Chihuly Glass exhibit made it even more special!
Maker’s Mark has set the bar very high with this experience

Great afternoon and great lunch, Chihuly displays were very beautiful and will recommend to others, it's a great day trip to enjoy

Over the past few years we have been to about every Distillery in Kentucky, and while they all offer different experiences, the one place we ALWAYS come back to is the Makers Mark experience. The grounds are wonderful, and the exhibits are always spectacular. They work hard at making you feel like you are a valued part of the MM family. In a world full of "wrong", they do things so "right".

This was our favorite tour of all the places we went on the trail! Beautiful grounds and great tastes! The Chihuly exhibit was an added treat.

We took the "Wax Dips and Honey Drips" tour. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it! We learned a lot and were able to taste some wonderful honey and bourbon pairings. It was the best tour of our whole trip because it was a true grain to glass experience.
The bonus for bourbon lovers was the ability to purchase some unique bottles that were unavailable unless you took the tour.

It was an awesome tour of the distillery. Our guide was amazing at telling us all about the history of Maker's Mark. It was a very fun experience.

The Makers Mark facility is beautiful with a terrific history. Our guide Kim was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure everyone stayed well hydrated on a warm July day.
Highly recommend the tour

Had a great farm tour with Ethan. The highlights of the tour included visiting the 300+ yr old white oak mother tree and a tasting of the Star Hill Wheat Whisky in the middle of the farms wheat field.

The grounds are stunning. The guides entertaining & informative. The Chihuly pieces are beautiful. The onsite restaurant had delicious & well priced offerings. A wonderful afternoon for even a non drinker!

This is an incredible distillery with wonderful history. I’m so happy we added this as a bourbon trail first stop. It’s a must see. The Star Hill Farms are beautiful and the artwork is incredible. An added bonus to the tour. We ate at the restaurant there and it was very good. A limited menu but nice cocktails and a nice lunch. We took the classic Maker’s Mark Tour and it was great. We really enjoyed it and spent the entire afternoon there. Highly recommend!

Hands down, MM is the best bourbon distillery tour in Kentucky. I have attended 4 other distillery tours that were also very well done, but Maker’s Mark, in its beautiful, iconic Loreto Kentucky setting sets the gold standard. Chris did an outstanding job educating the group on the distillery’s history, operation & facilities, and the processes required to produce one of the absolute finest Kentucky bourbons. Our guests visiting from California loved it! Many thanks for a wonderful experience. TN

We’ve been on a couple other bourbon tours and weren’t sure this wouldn’t just be redundant. But the tour guide had a bio chem background and elevated the interesting technical detail. Also, Maker’s Mark has some unique qualities, such as their wax tipped tops and how that process is done in production, the labels/branding, and of course its own unique history. The making of the formulas MM 46 is interesting too. The grounds are gorgeous, and the tour was well-worth it.

Grounds are beautiful. Tour is interesting and fun. Chihuly glass art is amazing. It's the most expensive bourbon distillery tour, which is the only downside.

A scenic drive to the distillery, although map coverage was occasionally spotty on our phones in the area). This tour was one of several we took along the bourbon trail. By far, the Maker's Mark experience really let us visualize the whole farm to bottle process. We chose the Star Hill Farm tour, one of several tour offerings, with the very engaging and knowledgeable Amanda as our guide.
We traveled to various places on the farm via SUV that covered sustainability efforts as well as the ingredients that go into both their whisky and restaurant. Glencairns were provided and samples given at some of the stops that included everything from their water to pastures to apiaries to their oak trees. Those farm elements, of course, have to make it into a bottle as some point, and indoor stops included the label-making room, distillery area and a warehouse where aging takes place.
Photo opportunities abound in all locations. In about an hour and a half, we got a comprehensive look at what it takes to produce their whisky and bourbons. An outstanding experience from start to finish and again, kudos to Amanda for explaining things so well and telling the full story of what happens on the 1100-acre farm!

Great distillery. We went on a sip and stroll tour.
We had a great time getting together with our children.
Loved the bottle dipping.

It is a great tour and beautiful grounds. Chris was our guide and he is amazing. Full of information and makes it fun and exciting.

Neat experience. Beautiful grounds. The Old fashions were good. Our tour guide Matt was knowledgeable and made the tour worth it.

The gardens, the grounds, the historic buildings, the art, the story, and the bourbon made for a really great day in Kentucky

We did the Chihuly tour with Bailey. She was a great docent, and the tour was terrific. We had an exceptional tasting experience afterward and a delicious cocktail before.

How do you recommend the makers Mark tour. I learned a lot about the history of bourbon making and the Maker’s Mark company. Oh and the bourbon is awesome!

The tour was informative and educational. The grounds are simply gorgeous. We enjoyed all the behind the scene stops. Whiskey tasting and great food at restaurant. Such a fun-filled afternoon.

Laura was our guide and was the best. The tour and tastings was special and one I and my friends will always remember. The cafe for lunch was excellent..especially the bread and spreads.

One of the most Awesome bourbon tours around! Great gift shop! Super friendly staff all around. Being able to dip your own bottle is a plus!

This tour of the Makers Mark distillery is absolutely awesome and highly recommended for anyone. It is interesting historic funny and a great visit

As a Kentuckian, I always feel it my duty to introduce new Kentuckians to our rich and wonderful history. The bluegrass state is underrated and this tour helps show why I say that. It was a wonderful tour, our tour guide Bailey, was lots of fun. The campus is beautifully decorated for Christmas. The tasting was fun. But please, wear a coat for the tour.
The tour was enjoyable and roughly an hour and a half.

This is the best tour we have ever been on! The experience was incredible and so very knowledgeable. We will remember this tour forever! We will revisit this distillery again!! A must see!

The history of the red wax and the history behind the Maker's Mark brand. The grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend the red wax dipping experience.

Went with friends for the Chihuly exhibit. Beautiful evening, the distillery setting, grounds, art - all made a perfect experience. They serve excellent drinks. Have also been on a tour of the distilling process and it was very cool. A must do experience whether you drink bourbon or not!

We had an enjoyable time! Our tour guide, Matt did an awesome job. Learned alot about the history of Makers Mark and the process of whisky making.

Fabulous outdoor tour this past weekend. We got to see all the new walkway areas through nature, and the pairings were wonderful .

Definitely take a tour and experience all the grounds have to offer! If you are lucky enough to get Laura you’ll be happy you did!

We did the farm to table experience. Our guide Amanda was so knowledgeable and fun. Beautiful grounds and wonderful spirits and lunch!

Came for the special exhibit and left with a love of the property history and community involvement. Their zero waste initiatives are also another feature of their operations that is incredible.

The grounds of Maker's Mark are some of the most beautiful around. It's like a park. We were fortunate to be there when the glass blown sculptures of Chihuly were there on loan. Lovely bonus. Laura was our friendly guide and she is also one of the "tasters" who helps decide when a barrel is ready for bottling. You see the whole process on this tour from the distilling to the bottling. We were treated with tastings along the way as Laura talked about the different varieties of bourbon. At the end of the tour, we were told we could walk the grounds as long as we wanted (nice not to be rushed out), but it was raining so we had lunch at the Maker's Mark restaurant which had a cozy atmosphere and unique and delicious food. We have visited many distilleries but this one is the cream of the crop.

Our tour guide was outstanding, the grounds and buildings were beautiful. The welcome center was definitely very comfortable with lots of room, a comfortable waiting area and huge, beautiful bar room with a gorgeous view. The Chihuly exhibition was gorgeous.

We really enjoyed our tour of this distillery. Jim our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The taste testing was awesome. I learned so much about the making of bourbon.

I’ve personally never been a fan of Maker’s Mark Bourbons, but when in Kentucky…
The grounds were lovely, but I think they were enhanced by all the beautiful Chihuly installations.
Our tour guide, Matt, was fun and knowledgeable. Felt very rushed through the tastings. Did not get a cocktail at the bar. They were more expensive there than other distilleries. Overall, it was a good experience, but definitely not my favorite. I will say that all the other distilleries give you a little something if you’re there celebrating something like a birthday, not Maker’s Mark.

It was a great time! So informative and interesting! Not to mention the delicious tasting “breaks”. It was certainly worth it for us. One tip. Book an early tour if you are going during the summer!

Had the best tour guide, Chris. Beautiful place to visit. Take time to eat at the restaurant, food is delicious. Service is top notch.

While there was a lot of beautiful locations for distilleries while we were on the Bourbon Trail. I would say that Makers Mark was the most beautiful location. Every distillery provided us with different information and showed us different things. It was really interesting walking around the compound and seeing the labels being put on the bottles being filled, and I always enjoyed the rik houses that we were able to go into. A definite must when I return to do the bourbon Trail again.

The campus was beautiful and the history was amazing. Our guide Bailey was very personable and knowledgeable. Loved the entire experience!

We had a great tour. Loved walking on the "campus" and dipping the bottles!! Learning about the founding couple and their journey to develop and outstanding bourbon. Our favorite of our bourbon tours!

Chad was an excellent guide. The property is maintained nicely. History of Makers Mark is amazing and the drinks very good.
Staff overall very helpful and nice.

We’re from California and have done wine tastings throughout our state. As I enjoy a Manhattan and Old Fashioned I thought it would be fun to do bourbon tasting like we do wine tastings. Of course Maker’s Mark would be on our list as it’s a regular choice when I make a cocktail. The distillery is beautiful, and our guide Christopher was quite entertaining. We enjoyed our tastings, and dipping our own bottle to take home. The five days we spent tasting bourbon, eating wonderful food throughout the Louisville area, walking, walking, walking the bridge over the Ohio River into Indiana for pizza and beer, Churchill Downs, and so many more adventures has left us wanting to schedule our next Kentucky experience sooner rather than later.

The distillery grounds are beautiful. The personal are very knowledgeable and helpful. And it doesn’t hurt that the bourbons were delicious!

I’m not sure what I was expecting from a tour at makers mark, but this was so much better than I thought it was gonna be. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and so approachable. She took the time to answer all of our questions. Fascinating!

Dale Chihuly has brought his incredible artwork to the Maker’s Mark Distillery. Portions of the exhibit are outside in nature and portions are inside. The exhibit is easily accessible. This is a unique experience

Fun trip. My first bourbon trail tour. I was there when the chihuly exhibit was there. I had a blast. Jeremy, our tour guide, was entertaining with his stories of the history and the founders. The whole experience was great and being able to dip our own purchases in the wax was a special treat.

We visited several distilleries on this trip and the Maker’s Mark campus has been by far the most enjoyable with it’s rich history, campus layout, art work throughout the campus and a wonderful selection of bourbons. Highly recommend!

Best distillery tour we have ever been on. Extremely knowledgeable and informative tour guide. She kept our attention by not giving us unneeded information.

You have to travel on some winding roads but the visit to Maker’s is worth it. You really have to see the beautiful place for yourself. It’s like Disneyland for whiskey lovers.

Makers Marks was on the top of our list after visiting 11 distilleries in the area. The trip was beyond perfect, the grounds were well cared for, the tour was in depth and you can tell that our tour guide Jim was very knowledgeable and enjoyed his job. The tour is one of a kind and getting to dip your own bottle was wonderful.

The views were Amazing we took so many photos. I had the time of my Life Amd I Learn Something New Everyday. Loved It World’s Best Distillery. Period

Great setting with a great tour available. Most importantly, the bourbon is fantastic. Don’t pass up the Ambassador program, it is a great way to keep in touch with the distillery and there is a bonus for you later on.

Great tour and well spoken on history of Makers Mark. The property is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Very clean and offered water at several locations since it was a hot day

The property and tour are awesome. Highly recommend the apple butter old fashion on the patio after the tour. Great way to finish the day.

Jim was an incredible tour guide! He made our tour extra special with his kind, hospitality and knowledge! The Chihuly art is incredible! The grounds are immaculate! The bourbon is a legend!

The Maker's Campus is absolutely stunning and beautiful. it's really hard to imagine that all the Maker's bourbon we see worldwide is made in this facility. The team is welcoming, enthusiastic and clearly proud of the work they do and the impact they have. Went to see the Chihuly pieces dotted across campus and it is just stunning.

We enjoyed the tour and lunch afterwards in their restaurant immensely! Highly recommend if you are in the area and touring distilleries.

Makers Mark property is the most beautiful distillery in Louisville . The addition of the Chihuly exhibit was amazing.

Great visit. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful tour that we learned some new things about Bourbon. Been to several distilleries on the Bourbon Trail and this is one of my favorites. Adding Chihuly art makes it even more special.

The Maker's Mark tour is not to be missed. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. After the tour you can purchase your favorite bottles and seal the in wax yourself! Make sure to dine at the restaurant. It's not overly marketed but it is incredible.

Highly recommend Kim as your tour guide! She literally feels like a part of Maker’s Mark! The tour has so much fascinating history! It is a small and quaint operation and it makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time!
I highly recommend tour that offers your own bottle dipping with a purchase of a bottle of bourbon at the end of the tour!!

Everyone was very professional from check in to guide and bottle dipping instructor. Grounds and facilities were well taken care of.

Awesome distillery and fabulous staff. Obviously great Makers Mark bourbon. Will definitely go back. Thanks for a great event.

We had an outstanding experience at Maker’s Mark — from the tour, to the restaurant, to the dipping station. Every part of the visit felt thoughtful, welcoming, and beautifully executed.
The distillery tour was the perfect blend of craftsmanship, storytelling, and history. Our guide walked us through the process with real passion and expertise, making it both engaging and memorable. Seeing the barrel rooms, the handmade details, and the heritage behind Maker’s Mark gave the whole experience so much depth.
The restaurant was another major highlight. The food was exceptional — fresh, creative, and genuinely delicious. It didn’t feel like “distillery dining”; it felt like a destination in itself. You can tell the culinary team cares about every detail.
The dipping experience was pure fun. Getting to dip your own bottle in the signature red wax is something every bourbon fan should do at least once. It’s hands-on, personal, and makes for a great keepsake.
And we have to call out Thomas Bolton and his entire team — they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Their hospitality, organization, energy, and attention to detail elevated the entire day. You can feel the pride they take in creating an unforgettable guest experience.
Overall, Maker’s Mark delivered from start to finish. Warm hospitality, beautiful grounds, thoughtful touches, and a team that genuinely cares. One of the best distillery experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Makers Mark is a bucket list experience.
Beautifully laid out and the Bourbon is excellent.
Must include in your Bourbon Trail trip

We had a great experience on the walking tour and our guide was great! It was a beautiful day and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Awesome Whisky Creek tour, it was a beautiful morning, the grounds are gorgeous, tour guide was excellent. We will be back again!

The whole experience was great, pur tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The taste testing was great. The gift shop was outstanding

The grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide (Jeremy) was excellent, passionate, informative and fun. It was awesome seeing the bottling process from empty to labeled, hand-dipped and boxed.

Beautiful Distillery and overall great experience my favorite part was watching my husband dip the bottles. The gift shop and tickets were reasonably priced also the restaurant was good. We did a self guided tour and loved it

Apparently I had an earlier review from the last Chihuly exhibit a number of years that may have gone unposted. At that time it was $12 for a tour and $5 if you just wanted to view the grounds. Wow. It cost a lot more now. $26 plus fee just for the grounds and $36 plus fee for a tour, tasting and viewing the grounds. That being said I decided to spend a little more to take the tour and tasting. It was well worth the extra money to have a guide who was enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable. Besides, going to a distillery without a tasting just seems wrong. It a beautiful facility and being a lover of Dale Chihuly’s incredible glass art was the icing on the cake. It’s been a number of years since I have been here and Google maps had me going a different way. After the tour on the way back to the parking lot I walked with an employee who said to take KY State Highway 49 back as it’s a better road. It only took 4 minutes longer and saved me the anxiety of those other narrow roads. I believe the Chihuly exhibit only lasts until December 6, 2025. They offer some other tours plus a Chihuly at Night Tour.

A great experience. I so enjoyed the tour and I already have 2 additional friends who have signed up for the Ambassador experience. Thank you all for the kind attention. You have the best promotional campaign I have ever seen and I will be back for another tour.
Laura was wonderful and I hope I get to have a tour with her again someday.

Awesome time. Christopher knows the history well. The property itself is worth seeing. Plus you get great bourbon. Well worth the trip.

Our tour guide (Jackie) was very informative and passionate about the product. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and were meticulously maintained. Best part of the tour was the tastings. I've become a fan of the Makers Mark products!

Beautiful little place in the central Kentucky countryside. Informative tour and very pleasant experience. You get to taste the products at the end.

Amazing, wonderful. The B & B we stayed at was first class!!! The tour and guides were SO helpful. The entire experience was more than we had hoped for. Great art gallery, wonderful food experience. People were So helpful.

A little off the beaten path and beware if you follow your GPS to get here as you might end up on some very rural one lane roads. I suggest looking at a map and stick to the major Roads. The distillery itself is charming. Definitely one of the prettiest campuses we visited on the Bourbon trail. The tour is very informative and our guide Cheyenne was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. Probably the best large distillery tour we did on the bourbon trail.

We attended the Maker's Mark Ambassador Tour. The tour was very interesting. The facility and grounds are very well kept, and really pretty. It is a little bit of a drive to get there, so leave plenty early in case you get turned around... There were a few tastings along the tour that were also very nice. I would recommend joining the club and doing a tour...

From the moment we stepped on the grounds, we were so impressed with not only the grounds, but with your fine personnel. We had a wonderful day, needs to be on your to do list. My thanks to our guide Laura, who is full of knowledge, fun and a wonderful sense of humor. Make it happen, you won't be sorry!

We were lucky enough to attend multiple experiences at Maker's Mark while we were visiting Kentucky. We started the day with the Star Hill Farms tour. Amanda was a great guide and we learned so much about the sustainability and history of the property. It was by far my favorite experience of the whole trip. Second we did the ambassador tour. Taylor made it feel extra special and it was so fun to dip our own bottles!!! We also stayed for the Chihuly at night. The art is just beautiful and really fits the distillery perfectly. The drinks at the bar were delicious and everyone that works there was lovely. A worthy stop on anyone's trip to Kentucky!

Highly enjoyed the Whiskey Creek walking tour. Our guide Amanda was very personable and enthusiastic about explaining the amazing sustainability initiatives happening at the campus. Obviously it was great to taste unique bourbon not readily available at the store.

We took the whiskey Creek walking tour for a different kind of experience apart from the typical production tour. Our guide, Ethan was engaging and knowledgeable and very passionate about the conservation work that Maker’s Mark strives for. We walked around the outside of the ground, around whiskey Creek and into the mushroom garden. We were fortunate enough to be there when the Chihuly exhibit was there and it just made the tour even that much more beautiful. I would highly recommend touring.Maker’s Mark!

The property/ landscaping are beautiful and the tour is extremely informative.
Our tour guide Bailey made it even better.

What a great time! Tastings were great, artwork beautiful, restaurant outstanding especially for the price. Our Guide Chad's jokes were great!

Very well organized and our guide, Noah, was very informative about not only the history but also the distilling process.

Maker’s Mark’s campus is even more beautiful with the addition of the Chihuly art exhibit. My daughter and I took the Sip and Stroll tour and enjoyed the grounds, the art, and the history. Noah our guide was very personable and energetic; the very best tour guide and son.

Amazing amazing is all I can say about this distillery ! We had the luxury of being on the tour while pieces from @Chihuly Garden and Glass were on display.
The actual bottling itself is a very hands on process with many employees involved in all aspects of the finished product.
Best part I got to dip my own bottle.

Great whiskey tour, this a must 👌 see event if in Kentucky. We done the basic tour and it was very informative. Learned all about the history of Makers Mark

This distillery was a little hard to find with GPS taking the round about way but all was good. Was a rainy day, so we opted to walk to the gift shop thru all the beautiful Chihuly artwork on the property. Very lovely setting. We watched others purchase and then 'dip' their bottles and had to join in as well. Was a fun event and I'm sure the whisky will be delicious once we break the seal. If you are close, worth the drive, very pretty area.

The Chihuly exhibit did not disappoint. The food in the restaurant was amazing! The grounds were beautiful. It was a great day all around.

I was super excited to get my Golden Ticket in the mail telling me "my" barrel was finally matured. I immediately planned a trip to the distillery. The experience was fabulous. Us Ambassadors were made to feel very special. The tour was small and our guide Kim did a great job showing us the behind the scenes aspect of the distillery. The tour culminated in us dipping our own bottles from our barrel. They even printed our names on the the labels. Added bonus: Bill Samuels Jr was in the shop and signed bottles for everyone too! The grounds are gorgeous and it was just an all around five-star experience.

Interesting chihuly exhibit along with tour of the makers mark distillery. Glass art is amazing & the distillery is historic.

It was a beautiful evening viewing the Chihuly glass exhibit within the Maker’s Mark grounds. Having staff positioned to answer questions was great! We took our out of town friends to this event and they thoroughly enjoyed it and while not a traditional tour it was still a complete and full experience with the beautiful contrast of the glass art and the wooden barrels and structures and the beautiful grounds.

We loved the grounds, farm to table, the Glass, the people, the variety offered in retail shop including dipping into the bottle wax…bourbon was the highlight.

On a rainy, cool day we visited Maker’s Mark. Chad our guide made our tour fun and informative. The campus is so beautiful and the Chihuly exhibit made it even more special. Had lunch at the restaurant on the grounds with warm fresh bread, soup and bourbon bread pudding. Delish!! Tiffany our server was the best. 5 stars or more for sure.

The property is a little out of the way, but well worth’s drive.
The setting is beautiful and the facilities are top notch

Great experience! We loved the atmosphere, the knowledge gained on the process and our guide did fantastic! A must do!!

Makers Mark Ambassador Chihuly Exhibit and Bourbon Tasting was awesome. I would recommend the tour and tasting to everyone. Bourbon has been a part of American History for many years and they provide a great educational tour. I wish I lived closer.

Excellent, informative tour by our enjoyable tour guide, Michelle!
We will drink our Maker’s Mark with memories and knowledge!

Beautiful buildings and grounds. You really get to understand how bourbon is crafted and variables like different woods affect the taste and finish. Highly recommend this tour! The Maker’s story is very interesting as well!

Their tour was very interesting and informative (a must do).
Don't forget to do the dipping of your bottle(s).
Make sure you have enough room in your suit case for bringing some home.
Employees are very friendly and make it a great experience.

We really enjoyed the tour and rafting. Very educational and interesting. Our guide Andrew was great and very personable. Seeing the actual process with the mash was most interesting. Highly recommend visiting Makers Mark when on the Bourbon Trail

Amazing experience! Maker's Mark has a beautiful campus that is well maintained. The Chihuly exhibit is a great addition. I would definitely recommend going to see it. I loved the Sip and Stroll tour. It was such a a unique experience, and my tour guide, Noah, was very knowledgeable and personable. 10/10 experience

We had the VIP tour, Trevor was a great tour guide. He was super friendly, cordial and informative. The tour involved the history of Makers Mark, it's connection with Chihuly art, the tastings, cocktails and the food were all exceptionally crafted and presented. A truly enjoyable experience, one we will treasure.

The beauty of the facility, the insight and history, and our tour guide, Trevor, were beyond all expectations. I highly recommend this stop and tour to everyone.

A visit to Maker’s Mark distillery delights the senses! The history of the grounds and Samuels family is a remarkable story of dedication to excellence. From the hand crafted labels, the multiple processes, and signature red wax dip, the tour is engaging and interactive. The grounds are visually stunning and offer multiple opportunities to savor excellent food at the restaurant, beautiful artworks, and a meditative environment. The Chihuly collection and exhibit are a feast for the eyes, as well as the other fine artwork found there. I recommend visiting throughout the four seasons, and plan to return in the spring, summer, and fall.

Excellent tour with a knowledgeable guide. Great way to spend a day with best friends. My only complaint is with Trip Advisor.

Always a great tour, but the Chihuly Ambassadors event was special. From the Bourbon and food to the art exhibit and music, it was a first class event.

Back again. This time for Chihuly Nights. Night time events at Makers showcase the distillery in a whole new perspective.

Everything about the place and our tour was top notch. We had a great time and our guide Laura was very well knowledgeable and also entertaining.

This was such an amazing tour. We had Jackie as a guide and went on The Maker’s Mark tour. This was a trip made for my husband as he loves Maker’s mark, however I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Jackie’s genuine enthusiasm and personality made this a great time.
I suggest if going in the summer you go earlier in the morning. You walk in and out of buildings touring the facilities and stand outside sometimes. In some buildings the heat was more oppressive inside than out.
You must be able to walk up/down stairs, across slippery/wet floors, and be able to navigate pathways carefully. Pathways are nicely sized for 1-2 people, but don’t really allow passing of people. The landscaping is below the pathways sometimes. I wasn’t watching where I was walking (too busy looking around) and almost rolled my ankle by stepping half on and half off the pathway.
The facilities were interesting, the landscaping beautiful, and there are so many family qualities built into the buildings you can just feel how valuable family and tradition is to the Samuels’s family. It was surprising how much you get to see behind the scenes and was amazing to see how bourbon is made.
We did get to sample 4 different whiskys: the original, 46, 46 cask strength, and one private reserve.
The gift shop has lots of great things, and if you want to dip your own bottle this is where you do it - with or without a tour. Note: you cannot dip 46 cask strength as they only produce a single run of and it is dipped by employees. Everything is efficiently run, and all staff were friendly.
They have a restaurant on site that we did not go to, but Jackie mentioned it is all farm to table.

My wife and I absolutely love this distillery, the place is very beautiful, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and brought humor into his tour. We appreciated hearing how Makers Mark became what it is today. We had lunch on the grounds, and the food was better than anything else we had in Kentucky. The experience of dipping your own bottle was a great experience as well. Definitely recommend.

This is an amazing distillery. The history and location is worth the visit. We will definitely visit again and select. Mother tour.

The area of the distillery is in is quite a very scenic and singular journey with beautiful winding roads on the way out there. Once you get there, everything is so pitches, calming, and relaxing in a place you would almost want to move to the layout was designed perfectlyand there was a lot of information to be had. Everybody was super nice and very knowledgeable

My wife and I signed up for the yoga and sound bath experience. Then we followed it up with the distillery tour and the Chihuly glass exhibit. Our guide on both was Taylor. She was very hospitable, articulate and knowledgeable. An amazing experience would highly recommend.

This is by far my favorite distillery to visit. It is always so peaceful there. This is a must for anyone and everyone. This trip was to see all the glass work by Chihuly. It did not disappoint.

Excellent tour! Noah was our guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was our 5th distillery tour and still learned so much! The property is beautiful with interesting art pieces. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Excellent tasting at the end. Dipping our own bottle was fun too. Would definitely come back again.

Everything about the Maker’s Mark experience was outstanding, especially the Chihuly sculptures. The property is so pristine, and our guide, Kim, was so knowledgeable, and she was a lot of fun. The gift shop has such beautiful offerings, plus, you can dip a bottle that you purchase. I purchased a Margie bottle.

Amanda is a rock star. Great tour and tasting. Very engaged and informative. The t get rounds are very scenic, the craft cocktail as we started our stroll for the Star Hill Farms tour and tasting was top notch.

The entire experience was great. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the 3+ hour drive each way.

The exhibit at the distillery was terrific for the wife to see while I tasted different bourbons at makers.we both like talking to the staff they all was very friendly and enjoy their job’s

My group of 6 recently toured Maker's Mark and other distilleries. We were all in agreement that this tour outshined the rest. Conor was our guide and he did an outstanding job. We will be suggesting this tour to our friends.

The entire campus was so beautiful. We took sooo many pictures! The Bartender and Tour Guide were personable and fantastic. Great behind the scenes tour and history. We got to dip a bottle for our collection! Highly recommended!

Excellent facility! Tour guide was awesome! We have visited breweries before but never a distillery. Appreciate the history.

What a great time we had. The moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly and courteous staff who welcomed us. The grounds were beautiful. The Chihuly exhibit was awesome. The tour was very nice. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was excellent and our server was terrific. I highly recommend the Maker’s Mark distillery tour.

Amazing experience taking my Golden Ticket Tour with fellow ambassadors. Our guide Christopher was fantastic, knowledgeable, funny, and very thorough! Overall we were made to feel like VIP guests and part of the Maker's Mark family. Can't wait to go back!

We dod behind the bourbon tour. It was fun and informative. Got to taste the bourbon in different stages. Will definitely be going back.

2nd time on a tour at Makers - last time in Dec, this time in July. It was so beautiful, even though super hot. Enjoyed the cellar and having Matt as our guide. Wheated is our fave kind of bourbon and MM is the best for us, so this is always a treat. Chihuly sculptures are so interesting, lots of cool pics. Went to get lunch this time and had the most amazing wagyu burger and fried salmon sandwich. WOW.

Maker's Mark is always a wonderful experience, but it is especially so with the Chihuly Glass exhibition going on now. The grounds are beautiful and the glass just adds to the overall experience. The facility is currently in "maintenance mode" which is good given how hot everything is in Kentucky this time of year, but you could still see the still up close and they had a great demonstration outside of how it looks and the processes. Being on shutdown really only affected one area, though, so it's still worth the drive to experience the campus and the glass exhibition!

Finally got my Golden Ticket and booked my tour. Having done multiple tours before, I kinda knew what to expect. However, this time was different! The Golden Ticket Tour is reserved for Maker’s Mark Ambassadors (highly recommend joining BTW), but the highlight of my tour was the guide…Laura!! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Maker’s Mark, the grounds, and she had that Kentucky charm that kept our group laughing and engaged.
Now while the tour I took was reserved for Ambassadors, there are regular tours as well. The history of the grounds and the beauty of the grounds are well worth the drive. Speaking of drive, there are 2 ways in….a one lane road and a two lane road. If you’re looking for Kentucky’s natural beauty, take the one lane in. It has some amazing views on the way down the hill!! The other tours are reasonably priced too.
Something I did this time I haven’t done before was eat at the cafe. Highly recommend partaking of a meal while you’re there!!

Maker's Mark had a very impressive distillery and tour. The grounds are gorgeous and the tour is very informative and interesting. It was fun getting to hand dip and seal my own bottle in the gift shop. We ate lunch in the restaurant afterwards and it was very good. It is a LONG drive to get to this distillery but it is worth it.

An absolutely amazing visit. From the tour to the tasting to the artwork and the beauty of the entire complex. To a great lunch at their restaurant. But what stood out is the hospitality expressed by every single employee.

Cornbread was an amazing guide! Nice beans of distillery culture/history and art. Love MM’s sustainability movement!

Brought first timers with us and they loved it! Staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Probably the most beautiful distillery in KY especially in fall!

The Makers Mark Chihuly exhibit was fantast. Will visit Makers Mark again. The food and bourbon Tasting were a perfect pairing to the artwork.

Michelle our guide was knowledgeable, funny and relatable. She did an excellent job. The Chihully glass exhibit is stunning.

Great time, our guide Matt was the best. We were celebrating my uncles 87th birthday and we had a great time. And the bourbon wasn't bad either :-)

The tour was great! The Chihuly exhibit was good but not as good as last time We ate at Star Hill Provisions. It was a disaster! Waited forever {45 min} to get our food. almost missed our tour! It was not very good. Expected something with more of a Kentucky flair.

The entire campus was beautiful. Everyone was extremely nice! The tours were very informative yet fun. Would recommend this place to any Bourbon fan!

My friends and I had a marvelous time at Maker’s Mark. The combination of beautiful artwork, spectacular natural beauty beauty of the grounds, the attentively friendly staff and the exquisitely crafted bourbon make every visit a special experience. My friends who I brought kept saying “Disney’s not the happiest place , MAKER’S MARK IS!”
I’ve been to many many distillery tours and Maker’s Mark by far is without a doubt the best.

My Girlfriend and I went on the walking tour and really enjoyed having the opportunity to get up close and personal with how Makers Mark is made. From the history to the tasting it was a smooth well run tour. Loved seeing inside the still and 6the barrel warehouses. If you get a chance you should go soon to see all the art.

This is my third trip to Maker's Mark. Each experience has be beautifully managed and the tour guides were excellent. Knowledgeable and entertaining. This trip was my Ambassadors trip to pick up bottles from my barrel's batch. We will be enjoying Maker's for a while to come!

As a Maker's Mark Ambassador (Free to join by the way), I had a opportunity to go on the Golden Ticket Tour of the Maker's Mark campus. Now I am not sure how much this differs from the regular tour, but I can say with confidence that this was, by far, the best distillery tour I attended while here is Kentucky. The staff gave me a warm welcome upon my arrival, and the other ambassadors on the tour were just as welcoming! It felt like I was part of brotherhood/sisterhood. Laura our tour guide really was the cherry on top. Our tour was happening on a very rainy day, and even during times when lightning threatened to cut the tour short, she did everything to make this tour special. Her knowledge, upbeat personality, and humor helped us overcome any disappointment we may have had about the rain. The tour started with a toast to all of us ambassadors, and at various points along the way we got to sample whiskey, some not available to the general public. These whiskey tastings fit right in with the various topics on the tour (distilling process, cellar aging, cask strength whiskey, etc).
At the end of the tour, we get to purchase bottles from the barrel that was assigned to us when we signed up to be an ambassador, labeled with your name upon the bottles, and we got to personally get to dip each bottle in the famous red wax. They were having problems getting my barrel situated, and my labels printed. This is did not deter Laura and another member of the staff, as they worked hard on the issue, and made it 100% right. They all worked as a team to figure out what was wrong and made the needed corrections.
I loved my entire experience with my visit to Maker's Mark and it's staff. Everyone from the front desk personnel, to Laura our tour guide, the gift shop staff, right down the the bus driver that brought us right to our car, made us fell welcome and part of the Maker's Mark family. This is a visit I will not forget, and I strongly recommend to anyone visiting the Bourbon Trail.

We had a wonderful time walking the grounds and viewing the Chihuly art scattered about. The restaurant provided exceptionally good hors d’oeuvres and the drink stations were fun and informative. We were participants of the Ambassadors tour and the fabulous pizza we received near the end of our night was especially tasty!

My boys took me on a the Bourbon Trail in 2018 when we became Ambassadors. Now we returned to retrieve our Makers and the event could not have been done any better.

Not my first tour there but was my best. From checking in to having lunch everyone was fabulous. If you are an ambassador I highly recommend your golden ticket tour.
Thank you Laura 🙂🥃🙂

Don’t miss this distillery on your bourbon tour. The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot of history. I would in the future take time for lunch.

We went for the classic tour and it was one of the best stops of the trip. The place is beautiful without being pretentious, and the staff actually seem to like being there. Ran into Bill Samuels, who turned out to be just as charming and interesting as you’d hope — great conversation. If you’re trying to decide which distillery tours are worth your time, this one makes the cut.

Highly recommend becoming an ambassador. The overall experience when your barrel matures is so much fun. We were treated like VIPs. Our tour guide Laura was the best. The grounds and history of Marker Mark was pretty cool too. Definitely recommend going on a tour. The best part was dipping our personal bottles

Been there several times for their special exhibits and the Ambassador program. Never disappointed, always something special.

Beautiful campus. Great tour and tasting. Our guide Chris was awesome, very informative and entertaining. Would definitely visit again. Looking at Ambassador program.

great tour, knowledgeable tour guide. Love walking the grounds, always pleasant atmosphere. Loved the dipping of the bottle for a souvenir

It's a beautiful distillery and the grounds are amazing . One of our favorites, definitely a must visit while on the Bourbon trail!

In spite of lightning interrupting our tour, Jim, our guide, did a wonderful job telling us about history, sustainable processes, and the bourbon.
Even if you're not a bourbon drinker, the setting, artwork and Chuhily glass are amazing.

Logan, our tour guide, was fantastic ! Very informative and witty !!!! The grounds were beautiful even in lieu of cold and snowy weather . Dress warm as some of the walking is outside but nothing too drastic. Great tour as we have been on a lot of them . We even had quick lunch in the restaurant and the food and drinks were very good as well . Bourbon Bloody Mary was top notch !!!

After over a seven year wait, I went for an Ambassador tour and picked up my barrel bottles. A great experience and worth the wait.

Absolutely excellent all around . Great staff, food was pretty good. Drinks were better Dipping your own bottle is pretty cool.

We did the Chihuly Art Distillery tour and it was fabulous! Makers Mark does a wonderful job of hospitality and tours. We will be back!

Makers Mark is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable distilleries in Kentucky. The staff in helpful and accommodating. They make you feel special and appreciated and not like just another number. We went during the Chihuly ambassador night event and had an excellent tasting and beautiful glass sculptures.

The Maker’s Mark distillery was amazingly beautiful. The grounds were impressive and we loved the music/food truck option!
Our tour guide, Noah, was excellent. He was engaging and informative!

I have done several on the Bourbon Trail and this was the best. Chad was an awesome guide and we got to dip our own bottles at the end.

We toured this distillery in November. Jeremy was our guide and had a lot of knowledge about the products. The staff here was amazing. A tour here for any bourbon enthusiasts is a must.

The Makers Mark tour is beautiful. The history of the creativity and the still working farm is a testament to the quality of the Makers Mark tradition. The drive is picturesque and Chihuly glass exhibits are next level.

Our tour at Maker's Mark was so fun and our guide Amanda was so informative!
Loved having whisky taste at different spots on the farm! The coolest spot was by a 350 year old tree!!!!

One of the prettiest places I have been, the campus is amazing the staff friendly and informative. Great experience and will 100% do it again!

Makers Mark is absolutely beautiful! Hands down the best tour we have had our of 6 major tours on the Bourbon Trail. If Bailey is working when you visit, ask for her to do your tour as she is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Makers Mark.

Very interesting and informative tour of the Maker’s Mark Distillery and how they produce their bourbon. They need to post directions on their website since GPS is useless and even Google Maps is iffy. They should consider adding a video intro to the history of the company. The campus is beautiful and the glass art exhibit of Dale Chihuly was a nice extra. The tasting portion of the tour was also very nice. But cost of purchasing a bottle in their gift shop, for any of their bourbon products was high. Can buy them at Binny’s at a better price.

We were there for the Chihuly glass exhibit. The event experience was top-notch from start to finish.
I’ve been there other times and always had a good experience.

Had a great time. I would recommend to anyone. The bottle dipping was fun and the cafe was great. The tour guide was well versed and gave us all a good time.

Fab! Fab! Fab! Even better than expected! The tour was excellent and very interesting. The tasting was wonderful and we were able to purchase special bottles only available at distillery. The art was spectacular! Dipping our own bottles was such an original way to end the best day in Kentucky.

Amazing experience, will definitely be doing this one again! The information and history of Maker's Mark was really neat!

This is a very special tour on a beautiful property. Matt did a wonderful job telling us the history of the property and family. I have been on other bourbon tours and in comparison, I would highly recommend the tour here.

Great tour with a good tasting and bottle dipping for my Dad. It was great to hear the stories of how it started and what happened over the years. I highly recommend visiting them even if you don't normally drink Maker's Mark.

Chris did a great job with the Ambassadors tour. I learned stuff on this tour I didn’t know before. We could bring our dog with us. (However, they are not allowed in the distillery or in bottling.)

I highly recommend a visit to the Makers Mark distillery. The setting is beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The tour guide was knowledgeable. This was a special trip because the artist Chihuly has set up an exhibit of indoor and outdoor glass works that were amazing. It is always a nice place to visit and have lunch, but don't miss going while the exhibit is there.

If ever have a chance to go to an ambassador event at Makers Mark go. Had great whiskey samples and grounds is beautiful. Also was lucky enough to get a nice bottle of whiskey in the gift shop.

There is also a guided tour at the famous Maker's Mark bourbon factory, although we were unable to attend. The weather has been nice, but it also makes me think that sake made in places like this in which autumn colors are very beautiful must be good. At the kiosk, you can experience the famous lid brazing for a fee. There is also a tasting area where you can sample various kinds of Maker's Marks while watching the magnificent scenery. It's a little expensive to drink.

Makers Mark is a MUST. It is the tour that all others strive to achieve!
Danielle, our tour guide was excellent. Answered all our questions and was quite humorous as well.
The grounds were exceptional as were the cocktails!

Our favorite of the 5 tours we did! The grounds are amazing! Our tour guide, Matt, was phenomenal! We will definitely be back!

Great trip and tour! Loved the atmosphere and the tour guide was awesome! I'm not even a whiskey/bourbon drinker, but will definitely try some bourbon cocktails now. Enjoyed the beautiful campus that was decorated for the holidays.

The Maker's Mark campus is by far the best of the all the distilleries we have visited, And the friendliness of the staff is exceptional! The tour is super well done, and I would highly recommend this visit when in the area. You will not be disappointed!

Our guide Jackie was so happy and genuine. The grounds are beautiful and all the employees were so helpful. The drive out to the facility is worth seeing too. Would highly recommend.

A great tour and guide. Knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful grounds and lots of history. Landscaping and Chihuly art installations were a plus.

Wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful, and the tour is very good. Getting to dip your own bottle was definitely the highlight!

Visited yesterday—beautiful grounds, spotless facilities, and a fantastic tour. Our guide Kim was excellent, such an amazing place rich with history, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been to several places around Kentucky and this is my favorite to date. The Dale Chihuly exhibit was outstanding. Would love to see more but I appreciate the limitations. It was a stunning fall day. We enjoyed the apple butter old fashioned. Logan was our tour guide and he did an outstanding job. He lives in town and loves the area. Sometimes I don’t care for your guides as they aren’t as knowledgeable but not Logan. He was well versed in MM history, etc. he told cute (short) stories that added to the experience. To top it all off we got to dip our own bottles for no additional cost (we just had to buy the bottles) so we each did one. Highly recommend

The main reason for our visit was to see the exhibition of Dale Chihuly's beautiful glass creations. Unfortunately, due to the lateness of our booking, we were unable to also have the distillery tour, although we did this on a previous visit.
Maker's Mark is one of the gems of Kentucky with its signature black buildings with red shutters. The grounds are beautiful and are a perfect setting to display Chihuly's work.
The staff team are warm and welcoming, and this welcome is reflected in the restaurant.
If visiting, plan to spend some time there; you will not be disappointed!

The tour wasn’t crowded. It’s limited to a certain amount of people. Our tour guide Jackie was fantastic. She was very informative, entertaining and knowledgeable. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The glass displays are gorgeous. Loved learning how the Makers Mark bourbon is made and looking at the different buildings. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting this area.

Chad did an exceptional job, made the tour very enjoyable and had details about MM down to a tee. The chihuly glass made the whole place very beautiful. I was the a few of chihuly items were for sale.

The grounds of Makers Mark were beautiful. Our tour guide was bubbly and knowledgeable. The glass exhibit was a nice addition to the grounds tour. Our tasting was well planned, quite a pleasant surprise and not rushed. We also loved the on site restaurant it was a highlight on our entire bourbon trail experience.

5 Stars always at Maker’s Mark!
It is a true KY experience driving through the country to this stunning distillery and farm. Each time I visit it gets better and better. Bourbon is fabulous. Signature Cocktails are amazing! Not a distillery to be missed!

Beautiful campus and interesting tour. Our guide, “Dr. Laura” (we visited on Halloween) was absolutely wonderful. Personality plus and full of knowledge.

A great distillery to go to. The grounds were amazing along with the staff. Our tour guide andrew was top notch in every way. Definitely worth the trip to go tour and buy.

Our tour guide Jim was absolutely amazing. We had family in from Ohio and they thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful grounds and history of Maker's. Our tour group was just the right size, we didn't feel rush at all.

We took the Glass and Table Experience Tour. The food and drinks were amazing and we were treated like VIPs the entire time.

The tour was great with lots of tastings. Our guide Chris did an outstanding job being both informative and personable. The meal at the restaurant was great, lamb pie and salmon burger and the staff was great. Every aspect of our visit was met with cheerful staff and a gorgeous campus. The chihuly glass exhibit was the cherry on top!

The campus is gorgeous from the moment you turn off the main road! We enjoyed seeing all of the art in the lobby and the bar area is gorgous! We stayed a couple of hours and toured the campus on our own. We'll be back for a guided tour for sure. We visited on a Saturday and it did not have a crowded feel at all. The staff was very knowledgable and nice.

What an amazing tour. Not just because, Noah, was our guide (he was great!) , but because of all the unexpected experiences that we enjoyed. Makers Mark is Makers Mark a great product . But some might skip this venue knowing that. That would be a large mistake. The best part is the elaborate art work displays. The blown glass exhibits, the stained glass , the horse statues. The grounds are beautiful. The only thing that I was not happy about was at the taste testing. The last sample was of a higher end bottle that is no longer offered for sale!!! For the price of the tour , I expected a higher end tasting of something that we would be able to purchase. Not a very healthy marketing idea to include that product! I would have written a bad review of that issue alone. However, Noah was awesome , the Art displays were incredible the saving Grace of my review!

Excellent facility. Enhanced by the permanent and temporary Chihuly installations, the Maker's Mark distillery is truly a beautiful place.

Maker's Mark, classic, original and beautiful. Chet was our tour guide. He did a wonderful job. Learned a lot from Chet. The distillery is an art museum.

The Makers experience is a must! Especially if you enjoy bourbon whisky. Go and have a great time you will not regret it! Cheers!

The campus at Maker's Mark, hit the bulls-eye. The pieces of free standing
art outside and inside the building is a perfect balance of function and form!

My wife and I took the farm tour. It was a nice stroll through the countryside, learning about Star Hill Farm’s regenerative farming practices. It was a great experience and worth every bit!

Amazing experience! Drinks, tour, food, gift shop, dipping own bottles everything was amazing!!!! Flowers beautiful!

Maker’s Mark is by far the most beautiful distillery of any I have visited. The tour we took with Logan was enjoyable, as well as informative. The food at the restaurant was unique and delicious! Plan to spend extra time as the grounds are worth enjoying! We were there during the Chihuly display; would HIGHLY recommend it! We took a quick walk through at Christmas time a few years ago; absolutely stunning. Definitely would recommend the Maker’s Mark experience!

Warning* Children are not allowed despite the Maker's Mark website claiming they are.
My mother-in-law, wife, and I drove from Columbia MO (4+ hours) to attend the Ambassadors Tour last weekend with 2 children in tow. According the website, children are permitted to attend but are obviously unable to sample. When we arrived for the tour, the representative at the front desk told us that children were not permitted, requiring my wife to stay back with them as we had no other options.
The tour was excellent and our guide Chris was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
The misinformation provided took this from a 5 star to a 4 star.

A beautiful campus, with friendly helpful staff! Our tour and guide, Jim, were excellent in sharing the history and process. The smells and tastes were delicious too! A great experience!!

Even if you aren't a bourbon fan, the Makers Mark campus is so beautiful and the staff so welcoming that it is a great place to visit. The Chihuly installation was so beautiful and such a colorful addition that it alone is worth the trip. My grandchildren really enjoyed having the run of the campus. We were particularly pleased with the restaurant for lunch--the staff was so helpful with meals for the kids and the food was great!

Chris was our guide. Extremely knowledgeable and so personable. We felt so special during our experience. Beautiful place too filled with art

The art and self guided tour were spectacular. I would highly recommend visiting for anyone who enjoys bourbon and/or art.

Outstanding tour, tasting and historical information, and everyone is made to feel welcome and comfortable. We were really impressed with the company’s focus on sustainability, giving back to the community and supporting local organizations. Walking into the visitor center, we were incredibly surprised to see a Chihuly sculpture hanging, and impressed at the art pieces found in the buildings. Although it was really warm, our tour guide Bailey kept us hydrated with water stops and we felt we had a thorough tour inside several buildings to see and understand the process. The tasting was a lot of fun and very informative, and we also had a lot of laughs dipping our bottles before we left. There was no extra fee for that, just the cost of the bourbon itself. Overall it’s an excellent experience and we definitely recommend it.

Amazing experience. Beautiful tour. Excellent tour guide. The grounds are beautiful, Excellent staff. Lovedbour experience.

The history and information regarding the past and future brewing
Was very informative and our guide Jim was very knowledgeable.

We just finished the golden ticket ambassador tour with our guide Laura. It was fun, informative and very tasty. Thanks Laura

We had a wonderful tour of the distillery! Our guide did a fantastic job!!! We learned a lot about our favorite bourbon! Beautiful facility!!!! Nice restaurant for lunch.

This was my 2nd visit and tour to Maker's Mark (this was my Golden Ticket Tour) It was amazing! My first tour was a few years ago, so I can't remember details (it was good) The grounds are gorgeous and so well kept. The Star of the show is the Bourbon, but Taylor was incredible!!! She was so knowledgeable and engaging. She made sure to make sure everyone was involved, using everyone's names (that I could tell) to make it so much more personal. I would request her for every tour if I could!

This place is absolutely beautiful and a destination to see the tour is amazing and the people are awesome definitely worth a day there Bourbon is delicious!!!!

Beautiful grounds.Fun tour, especially dipping the bottle experience. Unfortunately, I am not a Maker's Mark drinker so the actual tasting was not anything special for me. I still highly recommend the tour. Just a great place to visit.

We had a great tour and tasting given by Bailey. The grounds were beautiful, the best we saw, even without the Chihuly exhibit, but that was definitely special to see! We appreciate the free dipping of the bottle we purchased, that was a nice touch! Just by coincidence we saved Maker’s Mark for last and we are glad we did. The others might have been a let down. We highly recommend visiting Maker’s Mark!.

Michelle, our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but funny!
Fantastic and informative tour!
Highly recommend it. DON'T GO ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

Booked a tour for our Anniversary weekend and it certainly didn`t disappoint. Our guide Chad was a wealth of knowledge and fun. He took our group to every nook and cranny for the most worth while experience ever. You would have thought he owned the place just by being friendly, personable and professional as we were guided through the process of producing one of the Best Bourbons on The Trail.
Definitely worth every cent and time spent, including great food at the Cafe where Whisky Jean resides! Just don`t touch her!!
Definitely a MUST DO when in Bourbon Country to grab a hand dipped signature RED WAX bottle of Makers.

Star Hill Farm is beautiful, Laura our guide was amazing and the experience was unforgettable. The art in display was intriguing and the tour went at an even pace. Would definitely do again.

The tour was great & the guide one of the best we have encountered. Markers Mark Distillery is very picturesque and historic site.
Will make the trip again.

Such a wonderful experience! Sincerely appreciate the time our guide Chet took with us to make our visit to Maker's Mark extra special. We will remember our visit fondly and we hope to make it back to this beautiful property to check out the Chihuly exhibition once it's installed.

The tour was enlightening, the tour guide was very knowledgeable while being cordial with all guests. I would like to do this again!

Great tour to learn about the history & what makes Makers Mark the smoothest whisky in the world! Enjoy the tasting & beautiful campus with friends and gain some new ones while you’re there!

Outstanding and very personable tour. Just getting to the remote location adds to the experience. Maker's Mark has added an agronomy tour that helps to show the importance of the food stock that goes into making the bourbon. Very memorable and worth the drive if you are in the area.

A wonderful experience, viewing the sprawling campus, learning about the history of the company and the process of distillation. The tastings are very interesting, with unexpectedly different flavors of the different bourbons.

From the moment we arrived at the distillery, we were impressed with the campus. From the bio-swales in the parking lot to the art pieces thoughtfully placed around the campus, and the red shutters with the bottle profile cut out, everything was spectacular. Even the cat greeting guests and sleeping on the pedestal in the visitor's center made the experience even cozier. We were lucky that our barrel was ready during the Chihuly exhibit, as that was over-the-top and really a treat to experience. Every detail of our tour was superb, and Laura was knowledgeable, hilarious and entertaining- AND she does bear a strong resemblance to Margie! Throughout the entire experience, everyone we encountered made us feel special as ambassadors, and it motivated us to leave with almost a case of our barrel bourbon! Seeing the factory and a slam dunk be born was neat, and dipping the wax was so much fun! We stayed for lunch at the restaurant and excellent food and service- we split the local lamb meatball, the arugula salad, and the bread service, which was unbelievable.
The next day, we went to 5 distilleries around Lexington, and none them came close to our experience at Maker's Mark. Maker's Mark has aways been our favorite bourbon, and this experience only served to reinforce our love of this distillery and its company traditions.

Very educational tour. And distillery was very beautiful. Loved everything about tour! Kim was very knowledgeable, of course tasting part was amazing!! I drink makers mark occasionally… this tour made me become more fun of Makers!! And dipping experience was so much fun!! Thank you very much it was amazing experience… and at the bar near the entrance “ HUGE IN JAPAN” cocktail were so delicious ❤️ I am originally from Japan… of course had to try that !!!

You will have a great time...this is a must do. Add this to your bucket list!!!!! Great history lessons, beautiful art work awesome samples!!!!!

Attended the JD Shelburne concert and to view the Dale Chihuly exhibit. It was a great night. The exhibit was beautiful.

I’ve been to other distilleries on the Bourbon Trail, but this one is unique. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped around the creek and rocky terrain. There is beautiful art interspersed with the landscape and throughout the buildings. The Chihuly glass is especially eloquent in the indoor settings. Don’t miss the amazing bourbon bread pudding in the cafe! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and the tasting was generous and quite satisfying. Go Maker’s Mark!

Fantastic and beautiful property. Michelle was a great and knowledgeable tour guide. The tasting was really fun. The cellar was really great at 50 degrees in a hot day.

Maker's is hosting a Chihuly sculpture exhibit! Not to be missed seeing Chihuly set among the beauty of Maker's Mark Distillery. Go and Enjoy! (there are also night events!)

The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. The tour lasted a little over an hour but was extremely interesting due to our great guide Jackie. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide, Bailey, was extremely informative, funny, and made it so enjoyable for all. The grounds there are simply gorgeous and learning the history and the role of Bill and Margie Samuels in the making was so interesting. Obviously, the tastings were delicious too! And it was fun to get to dip the bottle that I purchased in red wax. Close to Bardstown so great lunch and shopping, as well.

Our tour was fantastic and bout your guide Andrew was fabulous, his knowledge of Makers Mark is outstanding! All of the Makers Bourbons we sampled were as always perfect especially, we would definitely recommend taking a tour and visiting Makers Mark and star Hill Farm !

Although the Makers Mark / Star Hills farm is off the beaten path, it is an outstanding and comfortable experience that is well worth the effort to get there. The team are all very knowlegeable, accomodating, and experience focused. During our visit, the Chihuly Glass exhibit was on display which added to the overall visit. I strongly recommend taking the time to "slow down" and visit this "down home" location.

Maker's Mark is one of the most beautiful distilleries we have been to. The KY countryside is the perfect setting for the historic buildings. The tour was excellent - Chris was a phenomenal tour guide, and we really enjoyed talking with him and learning about the history of Maker's Mark. After the tour, we enjoyed sitting outdoors and taking in the beautiful scenery with a tasty cocktail. We would 100% come back to Maker's Mark again, and highly recommend it as a must-stop on the Bourbon Trail!

Very nice place and the tour is great. Our tour guide Laura was fantastic and very funny. If you go on the bourbon trail, dont miss this one, it is the best!

Hands down one of the best tour experiences tour / bourbon experiences on the bourbon trail. The property is stunning and it’s preserved so well it’s as if you’re stepping back in time. The attention to detail and keeping everything as authentic as possible is evident here. You can easily spend several hours there.

We visited this stunning property on a beautiful fall day. We were fortunate to have an incredible enthusiastic tour guide who shared so much of Maker's storied history. Highly recommend the tour. The reception area is handsome with a cocktail bar that makes delicious Makers Mark concoctions. While a bit remote and off the beaten path, it is well worth the effort to make the drive!

If you get Michelle as your tour guide, she's the best. She made it so much fun and have so much great information to us, it was hot as heck though

Golden ticket tour was great our tour guide Christopher was well knowledgeable and a blast ,food was awesome Waygu burger great and drinks were awesome

Arrived at Makers Mark a little early for our tour..check in was handled by Josie.
The tour and tasting was done by Laura.. very knowledgeable, entertaining, kept us moving at a reasonable pace, answering questions along the way.
Tour, tasting and a walk of the grounds was excellent.. looking forward to going back.

We just attended a special ambassador event at Maker's Mark Distillery in Ky. This distillery is definitely worth the visit, their grounds are beautiful, the Bourbon is one of our favorites and the tours are fun. You can find some special bottles that you can't find at home. They had a beautiful Chihuly Glass display throughout the grounds for the event. If you don't visit now there is a beautiful ceiling in the barrel room of Chihuly glass that is a permanent display. Schedule a tour and come enjoy this special Distillery.

Great facility and tour. Our guide explained the history and process. Went through historical buildings and saw the process from rolling grain to barrels to bottles.

Great visit at Makers Mark Distillery. Since I am an Ambassador there, I was able to purchase 9 bottles from my designated barrel which had aged for 7 years. Awesome experience.
An amazing bourbon tour you don't want to miss!!!
The entire experience starting with the walking tour of the grounds and building; the art on the grounds; the history of the company told by our extremely knowledgeable and humorous guide, Laura; the tasting--learned how to experience bourbon and finally the personal bottle dipping to take home and the gift shop. I was told it was the best bourbon tour and now I totally agree!
