First time at Marvyn's. The wife was not too enthused, but she sure is now. Great show and warm welcome from all there. Will be back with friends, now that we know how much fun it is.

Everything about a Marvyn's night out is special ! Guaranteed fun every time ! From the piano bar to the close up magic before the show to the headliner. First class all around !

We heard about this venue by word-of-mouth, and are super glad we did. Be sure to go early for the lounge hour and entertainment. It was a great warm-up for the show, which was fabulous! We had a blast and will definitely attend again when we return to the Coachella Valley.

As soon as you enter, you're feeling very welcome. Craig Shoemaker was hilarious! It was a very enjoyable 2 hours.. I would definitely come again.

Comedy and magic maestro Jeff Hobson settled in the desert after decades of Vegas headlining, global record setting for longest running international and comedy show as headliner on multiple continents, Network TV series and Magic Castle appearances to open this intimate, 125 seat special venue, purpose designed venue for magic and comedy. His friends network results in very best top acts weekly with added value of night-club preshow in the lobby. Been there four times and looking forward to many more. Fasten your seat belts, open your mind to the seemingly impossible, and get ready to laugh like you did when you were a little kid. This is the tonic we needed after two years of pandemic stress - and more fun than therapy. Our friends and we are still talking about our last visit. They promise "liquor and laughter" and sure so deliver. And don't be surprised if you become part of the show, as my wife did.

From the time you walk through the door till time you leave what an experience. We gathered around piano listening to top notch pianist Johnny Meza playing standards.We then were treated to closeup magician David Malek doing seemingly impossible card tricks.This was only the preshow.Did I mention the great drinks made by the mixologists?
If you have been to Vegas or seen the stage show the Illusionists you have seen your host Jeff Hobson.You will wonder why this man does not have his own TV show. He captivates the audience with his patter and funny tricks and humor.
We were then treated to Dana Daniel's who playfully entertains audience with his humor,comedy,magic and his trained parrot.If you are looking for great way to spend an evening with friends this is it.

We celebrated my dad's 91st Birthday and Jeff was so nice to acknowledge my dad... it made my dads night. This is our 3rd visit and we will return for more fun!

We had a group of 4 couples attending this show. It started with drinks and a warm up act in the lobby while we waited to enter the main theater. The facility is clean and modern and every seat has a great view of the stage. We sat up front and almost everyone in our group was pulled into the act at one point or another. The show was entertaining, with some amazing magic tricks, comedy mixed in, and lots of audience participation. I think everyone felt it was a fun way to spend an evening in the Palm Springs area. We have visited Warren and Annabelle's in Maui and this is a very similar style of entertainment. We would definitely visit again.

We enjoyed Marvin’s for our family New Year’s Eve outing. Young and old enjoyed this spectacular venue.

Enjoyed the pre-show pianist/singer and magician...up close and personal, and so glad we went early to see. Cocktails are pricey...if they were less, we would have had one pre showing one during. Plenty of seating in the lounge to sit and chat or watch the show. No snacks. Not a bad seat in the main showroom. Loved the headliner (Chipper)....so much laughter and fun magic! He also got the audience involved. We will absolutely come back!! One suggestion to the audience.. please use the restroom before the show...it's not that long....if you know you won't make it for 1.5 hours, get a seat on an end so you don't have to disrupt your neighbors!

Tons of parking. Arrived to a great pianist and singer. Then a close up Majic Show, and then the Main Event. Seating is comfortable and close up to the main performers. Great show and a lot of fun! Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Everything was great, from the moment we entered, until the Magic show was over. Get there an hour before to enjoy the bar, piano music and close up magic. You will NOT be disappointed. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

We had an amazing time. We arrived early to enjoy the pre-show show and to have a drink. The piano player/singer was very good and the up close magic was a fantastic start to the night. The host is funny, energetic and also a fine magician. A great lead up to the main attraction. We were amazed! You’ll be very happy and will want to return. We went as a party of 6.

My first time seeing these two and I was impressed. John getting the audience involved was superb and the interaction was great. Would of liked to see a bit more of Mari in his act, but the two work so well together. A very positive experience, would see them again.

Very fun evening. Get there early so you can see the pre-show. The entertainment starts at the box office and continues in the bare area even after the main stage show is over. Good drinks that come in a souvenir glass. When you go you will have a really good time and will see an excellent show.

A fun intimate venue. Pre-show in the lounge area was very good, all very casual and relaxed.

To say that we thoroughly enjoy Marvin’s Magic is an understatement. Jeff and Yvonne always create a warm environment for new customers as well as us long timers, we have gone since it’s inception.. The talent is top class. I used to be a member of the Magic Castle in Hollywood and Marvin’s magic is equally as good. Hosting many magicians that have performed at the Magic Castle. Their daughter is a wonderful singer and performs in the lounge. If you’re looking for a date night or a group night You will not be disappointed. Here’s to many more years of success. Looking forward to seeing you again in the fall.

The evening at Marvyn's was one of the most fun events we have ever attended. We took out of town guests and they were just blown away with the talent.

Jeff Hobson has created an oasis of fun in the desert. Closeup magic around the piano bar by Joe Skilton defied our eyes; Jeff’s comedy was fresh in every sense of the word; Levent’s performance was dazzling, non-stop, funny and a tour-de-force of magic. This was our fourth show this season and each time, we were treated to world-class entertainment by the best magicians on the planet. There are many reasons to come to the Coachella Valley - this is one of the best!

We saw Jeff Hobson and Dana Daniels. Both were very good. Daniels was both spectacularly funny and magical. Venue is an A+. Pre show music was very nice and post show magic entertainment was great. I cant imagine seeing a better show anywhere even in Vegas. A great value...well worth the expense.

Jeff and his lovely wife Yvonne host a night of excellent magic. They treat you like you are in THEIR home! From the time you enter, great a drink from the bar and enter the main showroom, Everything tis top notch!!. Marvyn Roy would be proud!

Got off to a very slow start. He was very good with audience but I felt his tempo was off. It was
a little longer than most of the shows we have seen there.

Everybody was so friendly!! We received a warm welcome when we arrived. The show was funny and entertaining! Highly recommend for a date night!

We live in La Quinta so have been to Marvyn's Magic Theater many, many times. We’re so lucky to have this wonderful live entertainment venue so close. Every week is a different act and not just magic…there’s comedy also; sometimes both. We always know we’ll leave feeling happier than when we went in. And in these times, boy is that needed. Highly recommend it!

FINALLY, a very exclusive, NICE and classy place to take folks to enjoy high-end cocktails, music & MAGIC! (And I don't mean some old dude pulling coins from behind your ear) - this is REAL LAS VEGAS STYLE MAGIC SHOWS!!!! The theater is amazing (not a bad seat in the house - ALL of the seats are just a few feet from the stage!

Our laughter began as soon as we checked in. The entertainment in the lounge with great music and up close magic! The whole venue is well thought out, every detail attended to, for an evening of pure enjoyment. Thank you Jeff and staff for bringing such fresh entertainment to our valley. We have taken our visiting guests there at least 10 times, never disappointed, and always entertained.

We live in La Quinta and are thrilled that Marvyn’s Magic Theater is here! We’ve become regulars since the acts change each weekend. The humor, in addition to the magic, is what we love most. Who doesn’t need a laugh these days? We highly recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Marvyn's Magic Theater. From the time we entered we were entertained. There was a warm up magician performing in the lobby which was simulcasted on a screen in the theater. There is also a bar so you can sip a cocktail and watch the show. The main show was very entertaining. And after the show there was a musician playing the piano and singing in the lobby where you could stay and experience a bit of a nightclub vibe. Highly recommend.

Great theatre and great entertainment, Ive been twice . They change the show every week and have a different type of act everyday . We took out of town guests and they loved it. Fun way to do spend a couple of hours in the evening.

Enter the lobby. Give them your name and say the magic word as the door slides away for you. Tinkling piano music greets you, and a shining bar with a smiling bartender is ready for you. Listen to standards on the piano sung by a sultry chanteuse, and then a jolly magician does close up magic while you sip your drink! That's an hour before the actual show begins--bonus! Then a small theatre of about 100 seats--not a bad seat in the house--awaits. Fun memes and music play while you wait for the magician to come out and wow you. And he does, because he's excellent! We've been to Marvyn's many times and never been disappointed. We drive for over an hour and spend the night. It's a little getaway a couple times a year. We HIGHLY recommend. Would give 10 stars if we could.

I was looking for a new date night idea and came across Marvyn's Magic Theater. Not only was it fun but it also gave us lots of laughter. Overall my husband and I both enjoyed our time. Def recommend

Wow. This is place is perfection. Designed and thought through to perfection.

The staff was extremely friendly, entertainers were captivating and the overall experience was wonderful.

My group included amateur magicians and family members who have no interest in magic. We were all entertained because the show is more than just magic.

We arrived early to grab a drink at the beautiful bar, sat at the piano where the live musician took song requests and then a mentalist came out and did tricks for the crowd. All were amazing and extremely funny.

We grabbed another round of drinks before going to the theatre to watch main act. This guy had us bent over laughing, he was hilarious and performed draw jobbing illusions.

I'd highly recommend Marvyn's for anyone who is looking for something exciting and different.

Want to say that Marvyn was extremely accommodating with allowing us to switch dates due to unavoidable circumstances. Once we got there our party of 8 all enjoyed the pre-show and the headliner. Top rated and tallented performers who kept everyone amazed and entertained. Highly recommened to anyone who wants a fun night out. Also, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and desrve a nod as well.

My boyfriend and I found Marvyn's Magic Theater during our stay in Palm Springs and it was the highlight of our trip! The staff, the ambience, the entire experience was filled with laughter and entertainment. I highly recommend to catch a show.

We all absolutely loved the show, the venue, the easy access. We weren't sure what to expect with a magic theater in a shopping mall...boy, were we pleasantly surprised. Magic was fantastic and I probably haven't laughed that hard in years. Can't wait to tell others and return for more.

We have heard so many great comments about your place that we decided to get with some friends and make a night out of it. It was outstanding. The layout of the place was very well thought out.

Had a fantastic time. The starting entertainer playing the piano we could have listened to all night on her own. Then the warmup and show were equally enjoyable. It was a perfect mix of comedy and sleight of hand magic that our group really loved. I will go back again and take others. It makes for a great night of entertainment.

Jeff Hobson is a true entertainer. He plays "to the whole room". His guest magician was also good.
We'd like to return to see Jeff again- just hope his material which of course was great changes so we have a new experience.

I am a native of the Coachella Valley. This is the first of its kind. We will continue to support this amazing venue because it gives us so much joy, laughter and all out entertainment, that we have been missing here in the valley. It is a real class act from the moment you step inside, to the lounge to the theater itself. The performers are unbelievable and so talented. No such thing as a bad show. Hope Marvyn's Magic Theater continues to thrive. Its the best show in town!!!

Always a fun experience at Marvyns. The show is always first class and the hosts are the best. Good drinks and entertainment in the lounge and never a bad seat in the theater.

Let me start by saying the venue is super awesome. The host is super nice and funny. My issue is with the main performer (Joe something?). He came off as a real jerk. Berating the staff, yelling at the audience and his show was a mess. Very amateurish. Left with bad taste in my mouth.

If you like Comedy n Magic, Marvyn's Magic Theater is a must see.
You will feel like you are in Las Vegas. Very small venue but 1st class production.

It’s a friendly, welcoming place, and the magicians are all as good as anything you’ll see in Vegas — with the added benefit that you can actually see them, because the theater is small and puts you right in front of them. Jeff Hobson is the host and a constant delight, and everything is first rate. A great evening, not to be missed!

We had an outstanding evening at Marvyn’s Magic Theater! It’s a delightful place, with full-evening shows featuring some of the top magicians in the world. They change performers each week or two, and the ringmaster is Jeff Hobson, an outstanding comedy magician and entertainer. The small theater has very comfortable stadium seating so there’s not a bad seat in the house - a much better way to see magic than most of the places in Las Vegas. There’s close-up magic in the lounge too, along with live piano music, and the entertainment is pretty much non-stop from the moment you walk in the door. This is world-class and tremendous fun! Well worth it. We’re going back!

Great comedy show... the opener was a little weak, but the main comedian was fantastic! Drinks are on the upper end of pricing.. Will go again in the future!

We have visited Marvyn's before, but this was a special evening with magicians who had regularly performed at Warren and Annabel's theater in Lahaina, Maui. The theater was destroyed along with many homes and lives lost in the fire over two years ago. It was a special evening. The magicians were really talented and hilarious.

This is a really worthwhile stop for anyone visiting (or residing in) the Coachella Valley. You will not be disappointed!

This was our 3rd visit and every show has been fantastic! Get there early for the pre-show too! Small venue with no bad seat. All ages (over 21 Will love it! The bachelor party group had a BLAST. Just go and have dinner after near by!

I have seen over 30 shows at Marvyn's and each one has been great. I've taken many guests with me and we all go home ravening about what a good time we had.

This place really a blast! First time that I went to Marvyn‘s Magic theater was in October and we have been there four times now! It is quite a show with Jeff Hobson being a great and very funny host. The magicians will blow your mind.

We went to Marvy's Magic Theater with some friends who had been there several times before. We were there for the Chris Blackmore show. Before the show, we went to the lounge and were entertained by a great pianist and singer, and a short close-up magic show. Then, we went into the auditorium, which is quite intimate, and were entertained by the owner and by Chris Blackmore. Their magic was great and their humour and interaction with the audience was super. It was a most enjoyable evening out!

We had another fun evening at the magic theater. They always have just great talent and everyone we’ve brought here has thoroughly enjoyed it.

My wife and I are huge fans of Dana Daniels. While traveling Southern California from New Jersey, we were excited to learn from his website that he would be in La Quinta, so we added a few extra days to our travels, and booked reservations at Marvyn's. Having seen Dana in Maui and Times Square, he once again delivered an outstanding performance. Marvyn's is a perfect forum for both the entertainer and audience. Seats are roomy and comfortable, offering perfect viewing as the theater is tiered so that your sight line is unobstructed. The theater is not too large, which offers the audience a more intimate experience with the entertainer. I highly recommend travelers add Marvyn's to your itinerary. Put your rackets and clubs down for an evening at Marvyn's.

Went to the Dana Daniels show, the entire evening was amazing. The lounge was good but the show was over the top. We laughed so hard, he is just a total package, funny, impeccable timing and a mystifying magician. Great venue.

Jeff Hobson was the headliner and he was HILARIOUS!!! I almost pee'd my pants I was laughing so hard!!!! I invited a buddy and his wife to visit from Montana and I wanted to plan a special evening for them. And that's exactly what we got!! Jeff pulled my buddy up on stage and it was a crack up! We're still talking about it 2 weeks later! Great magic. Great comedy. Great fun!!!

I brought my parents and husband for Marvyn's Magic Theater's "Virgin" Show (for those that have never been) and it was AMAZING! Not only was the magic entertaining, the show was so funny as well! The show is interactive at times, which we loved! It is an intimate theatre, so every seat has a perfect view. I recommend getting there an hour early when they open their doors so you can enjoy the music and magic tricks performed by the owner, Jeff Hobbs. The decorations are so cool and they have a full bar, with nice beverage cups to take home.

we saw "Levine", it was a great show!! He was as funny for the stuff he didn't do, as for the tricks he did do!!

We have been to Marvin’s magic theatre 3 or 4 times and have always seen a great show. There is not a bad seat in the house. The pre-show is always entertaining and the host and his wife are always a delight.

Did something different for my hubby's birthday celebration and took him to Marvyn's Magic Theater. What great fun! They really went out of their way to help celebrate his birthday and we really enjoyed our evening!.

It was not exactly what we expected, however, it was really good. Some history with great stories and wonderful ventriloquism.

I just got back from Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and went to a few shows (not magic), but this is the best magic show I have ever seen. We were in the front row and could not tell how they did the various tricks. It was MAGIC!

There is no better entertainment value/experience in the Coachella Valley than Marvyn's Magic Theater. I have gone there NUMEROUS times and have never been disappointed. The pre-show entertainment alone (piano music and songs, with magic, beginning at 5:00) is worth the ticket price. The "icing on the cake" is the humor and magic of the MC (Jeff Hobson) and his guest magicians. Fabulous, don't miss!

Mac King was hilarious and a great magician. Every time we visit, we always leave saying we need to come more often. We love bringing friends who have never been as they are laughing from start to finish! Overall, always a great experience! Love Jeff the owner!

Marvyn's puts on an amazing show. Everything about the experience was first-class from the live music, to the pre-show mentalist, to the show itself. The magic was great, the jokes were hilarious, and the service was perfect. You can tell the owner cares greatly about creating an amazing night for everyone that comes through their doors.

Picture this. It's a brisk Saturday night. You and your SO are out for a date. You stick your hand in your pocket and you have tickets for 2 at the Wonderful Marvyn's Magic Theater. How did they get there? It was almost like MAGIC that they appeared in your pocket. Well let me tell you. If this happened to you, you might already be apart of the show. The wimsical Jeff Hobson, your hostess with the mostest and all the rest of the crew over at Marvyn's are fantastic. From the moment you step into the room you're in a wonderful world of magic, sights, and entertainment. Drinks, live music, a very intimate pre-show by Jeff, and the main event in the famous Auditorium. Combine all this with some laughs and you got yourself a recipe to have some fun. You won't regret it.

The venue was great. We enjoyed the pre-show magic. And Jay's show was fantastic. A brilliant combination of education and entertainment. He's an amazing talent.

Was so enjoyable, from the moment we walked in the door, and greeted with the piano music, then some slight of hand magic right before our eyes while enjoying a drink. This was all before we even saw the main show. This night was Jeff, himself, accompanied with a brief interlude by a guitarist spinning a few old jokes.

Jeff kept us on our seat either amazed at what were seeing or laughing so hard at his jokes.

From the beginning, when we walked in and had a glass of wine and enjoyed the piano entertainment all the way to the end, we loved every moment. We were able to take our wine into the theater and enjoy it throughout the show. As people were being seated, there was a series of cartoons and film clips that had everyone laughing. Then Jeff Hobson, the MC, came and also entertained us. The main show, The Clairvoyants, was outstanding. I don't know how Amelie does what she does, but it's thoroughly entertaining. We would definitely go again!

Everything was perfect...the pre-show magic was super entertaining, the lounge was bright and clean with lots of seeting, the theater was comfortable and clean (not a bad seat in the house), the comic was superb and the host and hostess were warm and welcominhg. I can’t think of anything that needs to be changed.

Lots of sophisticated comfort and entertainment. Arrive an hour early to enjoy the preshow and premium cocktails, beer and wine. Shows typically involve magic and comedy. It is common for audience members to be participants, have fun.

Main theatre is very nice, performance is right up close, especially if you are in front row. You can take your drink in with you. Top quality acts, change every week. We really enjoyed this. Fun for couples or groups, no kids under 21. Highly recommended.

As soon as you open the door…. The atmosphere is magical…you are greeted by the Owner, invited into the lounge which is small and intimate, bar service staff friendly, pre show entertainment terrific and the main theater is perfect for the magic show. Highly recommended for a very fun evening!

Marvins Magic Theater is a gem of the desert!! The magic starts the minute you go through the door into an enchanting entry to a secret door. Once inside you are welcomed by a well appointed bar/lounge with live music and specialty cocktails! So fun! They have top level acts that won’t disappoint! Think Vegas meets the Magic castle. I highly recommend this place!!

The theater seats are extremely comfortable....and the venue only holds about 100-150 guests....so every seat is a VIP seat. Tickets are reasonably priced and the staff is wonderful. Customer service is alive at Marvyn's!

John Carney last night was fantastic! What a great magic show! He especially impressed me with his magic pulling coins out of the air. He was funny, engaging and very entertaining. We went to Marvyn’s with friends & everyone had a great night.

We have been to Marvyn's about 6-7 times now and we have been disappointed only once. You have to be a little selective - a good rule of thumb is that any performer with a show at one of the big casinos in Vegas is almost guaranteed to be great - but you will be amazed at the quality of the acts that this very convenient and intimate venue gets. And the price is also very reasonable. I can't recommend this enough.

A group of 9 us went, and we had a great time! We came early for the pre-show cocktails and piano music, and I would say that's a must. Entertainment from the time you walk in the door! Highly recommended.

Marvyn's Magic Theater in La Quinta, Ca is a great place to go for a lot of laughs. We have gone 2x and loved it and going back for a 3rd visit in a couple of weeks. It's a small theater so you really feel like you can see and hear what is going on. Recommend it.

I’m not sure how all of these reviews are so stellar. This was a very small venue, funny owner “pre show” but very weak magic show by Arthur Trace. We kept thinking it was building up slowly and would start getting really impressive, but no. Maybe we sat on his weak side? I wanted to be supportive, stay at the show even though we wanted to leave. This was a mistake for us. Don’t rely on reviews on TripAdvisor I guess.

Great entertainment but missed the long dance video and wished the host would have had a longer intro show or a Schtick as he is so funny. Jeff. The magicians were entertaining with years of experience

I liked that it was a small theater. Eric was so full of energy, he commented that he drank a Red Bull before the show, I think True! It was action packed with an awesome grand finale! Leaves you thinking, how’d he do that 🤷‍♀️!

What a great find. We receieved an email from Craig Shoemaker letting us know he would be at Marvyn's while we were vacationing in Palm Desert. I'm enthralled with magic. Love it!! To find this place in Palm Desert was a great find. Each week is a different performer and each we have come to while on vacation has been fabulous...and funny. Come a half hour or so before the show as magic and great piano player In the "lobby", also after the show too if you really don't want to leave ( which you won't). It's a must do when in the desert. You'll love it!! Just terrific.

We were given tickets as a present by friends who love Marvyn's so we went with them last night. We arrived an hour early to experience the piano music and close up magic along with Jeff Hobson's warm welcome and great sense of humor. The ensuing magic show with John Shryock and Mari Lynn was outstanding and should not be missed. If you have time this weekend, go see it! The small intimate tiered theater is perfect for magic and there is not a bad seat in the house. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

This was our fifth time at Marvyn's Magic Theater. We love taking friends for their first experience. We love the humor, the music, and the magic. Halfway through the show, our friend commented "This is the best $75 I've ever spent." We agree!

Marvyn's Magic Theater may be the perfect place to watch magic. The theater is beautiful and small enough that every seat is excellent. Host, Jeff Hobson, is one of the funniest and most entertaining performers you will ever see. His material is hilarious and his improvisational interactions with audience members are even better. The night we attended, world-class performers John Carney and Joseph Gabriel were also on the bill. Carney amazed in the lounge before guests were invited into the theater. Gabriel was flawless, making birds appear from nowhere and just as quickly vanish. This is a great venue for an adult date night or for a group of friends or co-workers out for a fun-filled night. We will definitely be back soon.

Our second visit to this little desert GEM of entertainment...and it was even more impressive on our second visit. The reception pianist and magician were awesome.... and the headliner and host - Jeff Hobson - is truly a comedy genius. His timing and wit make for a truly enjoyable evening out. This day and age it’s hard to find entertainment that’s actually worth what you paid. As far as Marvin’s Magic Theater is concerned the value in fantastic. A wonderful atmosphere with outstanding magicians/comedians. I highly recommend this is for you looking for a fun night out.

Went with friends to Marvyn's Magic Theater and saw Jeff Hobson and Dana Daniels. They had me laughing so hard I was in tears! And how do they do that magic stuff?! The audience participation makes it even more fun! I highly recommend that everyone go to Marvyn's for a fun night.

We were visiting Palm Springs and came across a flyer at our hotel. Having been to a similar venue in Lahaina, HI, and enjoying it immensely, we decided to give it a go. Place was a little further than we thought and a bit tricky to find, once there, all good. Staff was welcoming and attentive; intimate music and magic event preceded show. Place seemed brand new - very modern and clean. Full (but spendy) bar. Arthur Trace excellent magician, not so much a comedian, but still fun. $75 per ticket seemed a bit steep but overall a good value.

My visit to Marvyn's Magic Theater in La Quinta last Saturday was an absolute blast! We saw Chipper Lowell, and he was hilarious and incredibly entertaining—his energy kept the audience laughing and amazed the entire time. This was my seventh visit to the theater, and each show has featured a different performer, keeping every experience fresh and exciting.

The theater itself is the perfect size—intimate enough to feel immersive but spacious enough to be comfortable. I love the setup: you start in the magic shop to check in, where you say a magic word to enter the bar and waiting area. The theater opens an hour early, giving you time to grab a drink and enjoy a close-up magician performing in the lounge—what a fun way to kick off the evening! Marvyn's never fails to deliver a magical, memorable night. Highly recommend!

We had a delightful evening at Marvyn's Magic Theater! They have full evening shows with some of the top magicians in the world, changing performers every week or two. The main theater is small, with very comfortable stadium seating so there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's a much better way to see magic than most of the places in Las Vegas. The ringmaster of the place is Jeff Hobson, an absolutely terrific comedy magician and entertainer. They have close-up magic in the lounge before and after the main show and live piano music too, so the entertainment is pretty much non-stop from the moment you walk in the door. This is world-class and lots of fun! Well worth it. We're going back!

One suggestion for the June 24th Saturday evening guest magician: leave out the religious referrals. You are very talented without being tacky.

OMG….this is the best! LMAO type evening. We have been four times and each time has been different so don’t worry about it being the same thing. Show starts at six but get there early to listen to the music and have some fun magic tricks before the show starts. Stay after for more fun. Jeff and Yvonne are GREAT hosts!!!

The show on 10/25 was 'boring' to quote my wife. The magicians did a total of 6 average (at best() acts. If this was someones first time coming to Marvyn's, they may never come back. I have seen some great shows at Marvyn's, but this one was a dud . The MC, Jeff, was better than the main event.

Jeff truly brings the audience into play...you feel like he is performing for you, individually.

We saw Dana Daniels. He was excellent. Loved every minute of his show. He was amazing and so funny. One thing I did not catch in the fine print is to arrive one hour early for the pre-show. I would love to have caught the magic. The theater itself was fun and inviting. Allow enough time to see all his memorabilia.

I think you should have shows geared just for families with kids. Forget the wine and fill your seats with grandma, grandpa and the grand kids, along with mom and dad.

We enjoyed the show! They have a very nice bar area where you can get drinks before the main show starts. There was no drink minimum, which we thought was nice. Also, there was entertainment while you are waiting for the main show to start. A beautiful and very clean facility. We even got souvenir glasses to take home from the bar. We bought out-of-town friends and they all enjoyed the show very much. We hope to go again soon!

We love to bring our friends and adult family members here! Marvyn's provides so much entertainment for the price of a ticket: pianist at the grand piano (and singer sometimes), close-up magic also at the piano performed by various magicians, then a full-on magic show in the auditorium, by various nationally known magicians. Each act in the main auditorium features different types of magic, so every act is different. We attend multiple times during our 4-month stay in Palm Desert and see a different show each time. The owner, Jeff, is also a magician, who performs as the "opening act" for the featured magicians and also at the piano sometimes. Arriving one hour before the main performance will avail you of all the entertainment amenities. You can also enjoy the bar service and take your drinks into the auditorium for the main performance. The music continues at the piano after the show as well. Jeff and family provide a friendly, comfortable environment for their guests. It is a 21 and over venue.

Every moment of this experience was outstanding. From the ticket purchase, door greeting,pre-show entertainment to the stellar main show experience. After over a year of pure dullness, it was such a thrill to be in room, full of laughter and cheer. Dana Daniels was remarkable with his magic, humor and perfect delivery. Vegas-level entertainment, both magic and humor wise. Perfect venue --- comfortable and every seat is excellent for viewing. Great pre-show entertainment as well, one hour before the headliner. This is a "do not miss" for anyone living or visiting the Coachella Valley!

We were disappointed. For the price of $65.00 per person we felt we did not receive our money's worth. The "glass" of wine we purchased, for an additional $14.00 per "glass", was served in a stemless plastic glass with a plastic lid with 2 openings one of which held a paper straw. THis did not impress us. The entertainment in the lounge was very good. Once we entered the auditorium we could not see the entire screen because we were seated at the end of the row and the curtain obstructed our view. The first "act" was a 2 person magic show and we thought they seemed uncomfortable on stage and we could see part of the "magic". Jeff Hobson was very good as host. His performance between acts was very professional and very relaxed and hilarious. THe second act was a juggler performing on a unicycle. He was also very funny and professional. THe problem with this. venue is that the acts change from week to week so you never know if they are any good or not.

Get there early. There are drinks in the lobby and you can listen to piano music and watch magic before the show in close proximity. After a show of about 75 minutes there is more music and magic out in the lobby. The magicians are top-notch. We have been there twice this vacation and we are going back tonight. Acts change weekly.

We have a second home in the desert and try to go to Marvin’s every couple of months. The owner and wife are fantastic. He always will give a performance in addition to the headliner he has. It has been amazing how he can get such outstanding acts. We have never even been to just an average one. Whenever friends visit us, we take them to the show. It is always the highlight of their trip

What a gem! What total fun! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted like an old friend by owners Jeff Hobson and his wife Yvonne. Jeff then regales you with Las Vegas & borscht belt jokes, which continue inside in the spacious piano bar - along with great tunes by the legendary Johnny Meza or another local musician, and Jeff’s close-up magic. After 30 or 45 minutes, the theatre opens for a full-on magic act by one or another of a repertory company of great magicians for whom Marvyn’s is a major stop on their circuit. I’ve never seen anything like it, and it was an absolutely delightful “something different” in the Palm Springs area. (And the absolutely sweetest people work here!)

Great time by all first a really cool setting from entry to exit, piano bar was great with pre show, theatre is new and great, magicians are truly talented and make for a great time.

We went to Marvyn’s Magic Theater on a Saturday at 6:00. We arrived early to get good seats for the close up show before the show. It is always amazing to see how they can trick you. The main show was hilarious and full of magic and the pre show with Jeff is always very funny. We recommend to everybody and we love to go on a regular basis.

Marvin's Magic theater is family owned and the show is fantastic. It's entertaining from beginning to end. The show is also creative. I highly recommend it and will go back again soon.

What a FANTASTIC VENUE! We say Lou Serrano perform last night and his show is Incredible! From the moment we arrived we were entertained by a piano player, then the host Jeff Hobson entertained us with some of his magic. Then into the theater, which is beautiful inside, we saw Lou perform. We were all amazed and puzzled by what he is able to do!! If you get the chance to attend any shows and we have now been to 4, I highly recommend spending an evening here with friends. Be sure to arrive early so you can experience the pre show.

Very entertaining! Went to 6PM show, it was wonderful. The entertainment in the lobby, prior to main event was delightful. Bar was nice, I don’t drink so I can’t really give an opinion. The seats are comfortable but VERY close together. I had to sit between my husband and my adult son, and neither are small men. We all laughed, it was a great night out.

We enjoyed the piano entertainment with cocktails prior to an engaging magic show. It is such a nice small venue where it feels like a community. Will go many times in the future.

Fun place. Good show. I kind of stumbled across this in a list of things to do - bought tickets and had a wonderful time.

Fantastic ventriloquism and history of the art. The two hour show flew by. Jay was extremely personable and I would go again.

I totally enjoyed myself for over 2 1/2 hours of entertainment. If you don't have a good time it will be your own fault. Drinks at the bar are cheap and the atmosphere is exciting from the moment you enter the bar area. I can not say enough about the good time that I had.

We took friends visiting the desert to a night of fun at Marvyn's Magic Theatre. We saw Robbie Howard, comedian and impersonator. He was fantastic! We haven't laughed that much in years.
The entire experience was great! We started having fun the moment we entered the theatre. We got a warm welcome by the staff and the host. We were treated to entertainment in the bar prior to the show. The bar area is very nice, and the service at the bar was great. The theatre is comfortable. There isn't a bad seat in the place. I highly recommend Marvyn's Magic Theatre for a night of adult fun.

We had the most wonderful evening at Marvyn’s Magic Theater! Chris Blackmore was hysterically funny…we haven’t laughed that much in years! And the magic was great too, as always. We are regulars and are never disappointed but this was beyond even our expectations! Can’t wait to go again!

We really enjoyed this theater, including the magic show, piano bar and the comedian Craig Shoemaker. The theater is very nice with comfortable chairs and nice clean restrooms.

I have not heard of this place till my colleague emailed us about it. I went with my family and had a blast. We arrived an hour before the show to have cocktail. There was live piano music and the musician interacted well with the crowd. The host Jeff also entertained us with magic and made us laughed with his jokes. The theatre was small, cozy, and intimate. We were amazed at the magic and had a wonderful time. This is a must see place when you are in the greater Palm Springs area.

Took my wife there for our 27th Anniversary. had lots of fun before we even went into the theater. Nice bar with good drinks started the night off right. Then had close-up magic preformed at the piano after the singer finished. Then into the theater for outstanding magic. Called my wife and I up onto the stage for a personal magic trick. Lots of laugher as the host, Jeff, kept everything light and breezy. After the show, back to the front for some more bar action and magic. Great time and a Anniversay to remember.

We went on a Friday night with friends. This place immediately puts you in a good mood with a warm welcome, pre show entertainment, drinks and comfortable seating in a very nice small auditorium. Excellent magician, lots of jokes and showmanship.. They know their target demographic (over 60 I think) but fun for all ages. Great entertainment all around.

Outside of Hollywood there’s no where else to go but Marvyn’s Magic to see the top magicians in the world! Go early and stay late. The host, Jeff Hobson is a comedic delight . If you do anything in The valley this is a must do evening!

We went to Marvyn's Magic Theater with friends earlier this month to celebrate my birthday. We had heard from neighbors that it was fun, but really didn't know what to expect. It was GREAT! Everything from the very personable greeting by Jeff Hobson and his wife (very fun and entertaining!); to the really nice bar and lounge area for a "pre-show"; to the main theater for two VERY entertaining acts, to the "after-show" experience in the lounge were TERRIFIC and VERY unique to any other entertainment available in the Valley. The magic in the acts is incredible, and the comedy is a real added bonus and really makes the whole experience of the theatre unforgettable. We will be going back many times, especially when guests come to town, since they change the show (and entertainers) every week. Most locales don't have a show experience to offer like this. We are thrilled that it is so close to our home. You have to experience it to appreciate how FUN it is.

This is such a great venue. Beautiful theater, quality acts, and very engaging team. We have been there several times and the acts never disappoint.

Just good plain fun! It’s a comedy show without swearing or yucky stuff. The jokes just kept coming and we could see it again and still keep laughing! Good magic tricks, too!

All of us gave this performance a 10! The piano playing and the magic before the main show is wonderful while having a cocktail. The main performance was amazing magic and hilarious comedic timing. Chipper Lowell was spontaneous, clever and played off the audience with perfection. Jeff Hobson is always a riot as well. Great show. Will return every time we are in Palm Desert.

Enjoyed seeing the different impersonations and being able to participate on stage. Sitting around the piano bar and singing along with the piano player. Jeff put on two performances that night: One at the piano and then again on stage. Several people around us said then like the intimate atmosphere around the bar and piano at Marvyn's Magic Theater in LaQuinta. Much more than the Magic Castle in LA. Audience is close to all the magic and participation.

It has been Years and Years since I have laughed so hard! We had the best time with our friends. The 4 performers were absolutely Great!! Looking forward to the next time we can go back. The venue was a pleasure. Was welcomed by Jeff and taken inside to the piano. We ordered a cocktail and was entertained by music and magic by Jeff. We then went into the theatre and were very happy to have seen a great magic show. Still don;t know how they did a lot of the allusions .

I was a little skeptical at first, but what a fun and entertaining evening! I will definitely be going again. Of course the entertainment was great and the audience also enhanced the fun. The main act was John Shryock and Mari Lynn. He was so talented and very funny. Not an uptight evening at all.

Make sure that you go early to catch the early magic show and piano entertainment.

As lovers of magic, we were really impressed with the quality of the performers at Marvyn's...first quality magic! The entire evening was fun, from the minute we walked in to the last of the (three magicians) show, we laughed, were amazed and totally enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we immediately booked for the next weekend.

Any time we want a night of great entertainment, we head to Marvyn’s. Whether it’s date night, or company has come to visit, you can’t go wrong. We're from the Las Vegas area, so we've seen some of the best entertainment around. Marvyn's Magic Theater got great reviews and didn't disappoint. It's a small intimate theater, so every seat gets the full experience. We laughed nonstop for 90 minutes. Highly recommend!

We went to Marvyn's on our recent stay in Palm Desert and are we ever happy we did!. It was a fast moving, very very funny comedy show. Seats are all good and also comfortable. It was easy to see and hear. Talented entertainers. I definitely recommend it.

A totally entertaining evening with non-stop laughs! The magicians are world class, and the atmosphere is friendly, fun and relaxed. Jeff Hobson, a delightfully funny and astoundingly good comedy magician, is the ringmaster and plays host to different magicians each week, and they’re all terrific. As good as anything you’ll see in Las Vegas, a lot less expensive and a lot more comfortable. It’s almost like seeing a magic show in your family room!

I went with several friends because that's what they wanted to do. I was shocked! It was an incredible show, and I gave not laughed so hard in a long, long time!! Can't wait to go back soon!

We celebrated our 35th anniversary by visiting Palm Springs. The highlight of the trip was without a doubt our time at Marvyn's Magic Theatre. The outside is unassuming, but inside the doors was an elegant bar, piano music, an outstanding vocalist, a hilarious host, and then there was the theatre itself! We watched Kalin & Jinger perform an amazing show, with Jeff Hobson adding comedy magic sprinkled into the mix.

I understand the shows vary by the week which makes this a real hidden gem in such a small city. I have traveled the globe visiting magic theatres and this one is remarkable.

I can't wait to return again. If you've read this far, do yourself a favour and book tickets too.

We rearranged our schedule so we could attend the show that had front row seats available. We have mobility issues and didn't want to have to climb the stairs. When we went into the theater, other people were our seat. There was a woman at the door who was telling people where their seats were, so I asked her to double check our seat numbers. I told her people were in our seats. She told me to sit somewhere else. This was very upsetting! I should have just asked for a refund.
Really enjoyed Dana Daniels' performance. I'll be looking for places to see his show again.

What a fabulous experience!! The production, theater, and performance were so high quality we were actually shocked. For a small town, it was a big city performance!

The only thing we wish we knew ( and now you do) is to get there when the doors open for the pre-game performances.

Up to three hours of professional entertainment are available from when the doors open for entrance to the piano bar with pre-show magic, followed by entrance to the main theater for highly professional world-wide entertainers.

Never been to a live magic show. Marvyn's Magic Theater was not only a great night out but a great way to become a loyal fan of live magic, especially magicians Kalin and Jinger who were not only mesmerizing, but funny, dedicated to their skill and talent, and thought provoking. Woww!! Then there is Jeff Hobson, a funny and silly magician and host who'll convince you that a 3 dollar bill has value. Staff and bartenders top the night off with great customer service. Worth the time, money, and effort.. THANKS!!

My family and I have been to Marvin’s 6 times. It’s always new acts, and they have all been great! The shows are always Jeff who I think is the owner opening the show with clean comedy and magic. He is a very seasoned magician. The main act is always very good and I think always famous . The magic is phenomenal. The theater is new and clean. They show a fantastic movie before the show of old magicians and old movie dancing. Do yourself a favor and visit. They sell very good cocktails too.
It really is a great value too.

Having been to Warren & Annabelle's in Maui twice over the last five years we had some idea of what to expect though we have never before been to a show hosted by John Shryock and Mari Lynn.

Marvyn's is a full theatrical stage allowing John & Mari to perform magic on a literally, grander, stage. The tricks were on a bigger scale - more like a stage on television or at Las Vegas - but with the cosy intimacy of a friendly group of about 150 people in the audience.

Much of John's humour was ad-lib and remained tasteful but was still laugh-out-load hilarious. I wouldn't want to take my sainted, maiden aunt to a typical Comedy Club event which often seem to rely on swearing and vulgar humour but I would not have been embarrassed to bring her to John & Mari's event!

We were visiting from England and will certainly visit Marvyn's when we are next over in the autumn.

Highly recommended to anyone for a great evening's entertainment.

I have now been to Marvyn’s three times and it really is a magical experience. The theatre is beautiful and they serve adult beverages before and after the show (an advantage). Get there early and enjoy the pre show magic and music in the amphitheater.

Jeff is a great host, and his humor is spot on. Very professional, but be warned it is over 21 sometimes can be a little blue. He is an incredible magician, and the last time I went I was pulled onto the stage to assist. Somehow he managed to remove my watch and wear it himself during the entire performance, I didnt have a clue and I watched his hands so carefully as he did his tricks and just could not see how it was done.

Last time we were there we saw a mind reader/illusionist that came from Vegas. They were incredible, and we talked for at least an hour after the show saying “how did they do that?”, it was crazy.

If you are int he area do go, it is totally worth it and something different and entertaining.

Definitely make it a point to visit Marvyn's Magic Theater on your next visit to Palm Springs. We were impressed and pleased with the level of professionalism and expertise of everyone at Marvyn's. The theater itself is very elegant with a secret entrance and and a cocktail lounge with a wonderful pianist. We have been to many magic shows in Las Vegas and elsewhere including a visit to the Magic Castle in Los Angeles and can say that Marvyn's provides top-notch magic entertainment. So much fun! Don't miss it!

I went to Jeff Hobson's show and had a wonderful time. He is very entertaining and the theater was very nice.

From the beginning to the end, you will be amazed. This is not just magic. Music and comedy are also part of the show.

This is the second time (once before Covid and once recently) we have been to Marvyn's and each has been fun and unexpected. Recently we went and they had a great close up/slight of hand magician doing a pre-show that was fabulous. Then the theater magician was funny, entertaining and at time amazing. We will return and bring guests.

We went for a friend's birthday and had a fun time. The theater is small, but with stadium seating it seems everyone could see OK. Sit up front or on an aisle and you might be asked to go on stage! They ask that you get there an hour early for "pre-show entertainment" but this was pretty much a piano player (or was it guitar?) and an hour for them to sell a lot more alcohol! The magician we had hoped to see was replaced by a mentalism act, which seldom impresses me as it seems to be mostly about guessing what someone in the audience is thinking. The short act before this was more "standard" magic tricks and was very clever and funny. I would like to go back and see a whole show of that. And I will!

Crap. We have been here several times and really enjoyed it. Jeff is amazing. Why on earth you brought in Jeff Wayne is beyond us. Can we get our money back? Excruciatingly painful. My 4 year old grandson would have had people laughing more than this guy.

My daughters treated me to the December 28th show - we had so much fun! Jeff Hobson is the consummate host - and so talented. Hilariously fun and funny - so clever and quick-witted. We heard about Marvyn's Magic Theater through Trip Advisor. A Magic Theater? In the Coachella Valley?? We booked, intrigued but cautious, and so very glad we did. From the moment we opened the door to the theater with a magic word to a final farewelll from Josh Hudson (the owner-manager) himself, we were royally entertained with some of the best magic acts I have ever seen. Also, there were some very good (clean) jokes, plus an entertaining & skillful video montage. Josh Hudson has produced a highly sophisticated and professional show performed in a beautifully designed small theater. Thanks, Josh, for sparing us Las Vegas. We will be coming to La Quinta from now on for our Magic fix.

We loved every minute of Marvyn's Magic Theater! A fun entrance, nice lounge and bar, entertaining piano player and a great warm-up act before the main show. The theater is small and perfect for magic. We have been a half-dozen times and the shows keep getting better.

This was a birthday gift for my husband. I don't care that much for magic. However, I had a really good time. We got there early as is suggested on their website. That was a good decision. There was a pre-show entertainer at the piano, Mr. Meza. He was skilled and engaging. Then there was a magician who entertained with card tricks named David. The host for the evening was Jeff. He was my favorite of the four entertainers. He is clever as well as funny. What I didn't know was that the show would be so comedic. My husband loved it. I
thoroughly enjoyed it and it exceeded my expectations. The physical premises were beautiful.
