OK...first of all, it is not a crappy old flea market, rather a market of convenience where you can stock up on items needed on a short notice basis.

Items for just about anything you can think of are readily available. The market for the vendors can be/is focussed on the massive influx of snowbirds primarily from mid Dec to end Mar. Prior to mid or end Dec one can easily get around the four lanes of vendors (read 3 hrs), so take your time and don't spend at the first sighting...rather compare prices.

Food choices except for Sat am breakfasts are limited to fast food. All in all a great experience with reasonable pricing.

Get there early for a decent parking spot, and ENJOY.

The market place is huge it's all tinted and it has how many thousands of vendors all types that has even a little food court area it's nice place to spend a day and get some bargains new and old

I always enjoy seeing the variety and the prices!! Try to get the a few times each time I'm there! I have discovered if you can't find something at the Mesa Market Place Swap Meet it probably doesn't exist! Also, I lost my purchase and someone turned it into list and found. I pleased to see the honesty of people there. Great place to browse!!

Crazy place with about anything you want. Perhaps not the cheapest prices but not expensive for sure. Great place to meander and explore.

By plarsenrk2003 |

Pretty large place. Numerous items to purchase. You'll find higher the normal prices for most items. Living less than 10 mins away, I visit with my family and we mostly go there to enjoy the crowds, site-see and get some exercise. It is seldom we purchase anything.

This is a indoor swap meet where you will mostly find Southwestern type art and items for your home. In addition to that, there are various dealers with clothing and furniture for sale.

By 1upnorth |

It was a lot of fun and very large. The fist visit we only made it through the first two buildings! We sent back for a 2nd trip and got through the other two buildings. They had a large variety of decor, clothing, tools, gadgets, Pottery, cactus, bedding - you name it. All of the items at this flea are new, if you want used you will have to shop at the smaller one located, I think, across the road. I loved this market.

Whenever I’m in Phoenix I have to stop at the market. There are certain things I love to get there. T-shirt’s for family, sunglasses with readers in them, student gifts, luggage and a belt for my husband. We were able to find everything plus a ceramic bowl as a gift for my friend. It never disappoints. Go early before the crowds take over. Food available and if you’re husband doesn’t shop he can eat or hang out and listen to music while you shop.

Great experience. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the winter. Limited times over the summer. Covered booths with nice home goods, yard ideas, screen doors, back yard decorations and outdoor kitchens, patio furniture. Demonstrations. Food courts serving breakfast and lunch. Live music around lunch time

This is very big and crowded shopping experience. During high season you can sit in line just to get into the parking lot. Once inside, the crowd can move very slowly. Expect to spend some time just finding your way through the shops. However, if you can think of it,someone is selling it there from hair extensions to hot tubes. Prices vary but you can get a deal. It's worth a trip if you like to shop.

Lots of fun to walk and see the wares. Lots of stump but quite a bit of repetition. Be sure to wear your walking shoes.

By 132Susan |

I guess my expectations were set to high, people kept saying the College of the Desert market is nothing compared to the Mesa market. I found over all the prices where high and the same goods where being sold just around the corner. The food line up was long, so we did not bother. We spent two hours there, I could have left after a hour and a half. I would return another year, knowing what to expect.

By Polishedfingers |

I've been here several times and each time I find something new I haven't seen before. All things are reasonably priced. They offer a huge selection of just about anything you are looking for. I'd recommend going early on a cool day because it can get hot and you could over heat from walking around. However they do have misters to cool you down. They also sell food and drinks incase you need something. If you look at the website you can find coupons for the early bird breakfast specials. I believe it's only open Thursday thru Sunday so plan accordingly.

By Hungry Man |

Spent a few hours, walking the aisles. Great selection of Southwest paraphernalia. Some nice food shops. Nice crafts and t shirts. Enjoyed our time here. Somewhat different from Florida flea markets, so really enjoyed. Would be anxious to return when in the area again.

By stenkely |

What fun! Has everything you and even the stuff you didn’t know you needed. Loved wandering the aisles. Easy to keep track of where you are. Women’s restrooms were always a wait but they seemed clean. We covered 1/2 in one day and came back the next weekend to finish. Lots of walking but beautiful stuff and all the made in china stuff you’re used to.

By tim H |

First time visit. I will be back , all kinds of food home decor , sports gear, rugs , some duplicate booths but not to many wear comfortable shoes , go early

By Beej |

Lovely market!

We were here earlier in the morning. The market is very big and if shaded, can be a bit chilly. There are tons of vendors with a menagerie of gifts, household items and other interesting finds. The prices were reasonable for the most part. The market itself is easily accessible as well.

They do have food spots on sight as well however be aware that these seem to get very busy very quickly.

The only negative I have is that they appear to have multiples of the same vendors in a few spots which can be a bit boring and repetitive.

Overall though, it's a free activity to do where you can find some great stuff!

By debinbabbitt |

Every visitor to Mesa should check this out! There is an unbelievable amount of shopping within these walls. It's a great place to buy outdoor decor for your home and you can find just about anything you are looking for. Plan to spend a couple of hours and if it gets too warm or crowded, you can listen to music and have a beer.

By jp3724 |

A busy place on the weekends in the winter months to browse and find many bargains. Good parking and sometimes music.

By Brianna P |

We came here with our young kids and thought it would be a fun afternoon. But the rows of stuff weren't very original and there were tons of booths that were the same stuff in multiple spots. Not for us I guess...

This is not what I'd call a swap meet. It is a very large covered marketplace made up of lots and lots of individual vendors. Some are run by employees and others by owners. (An owner might negotiate the price of an item, but employees will not). What's good about this place is the parking is free and there's no charge to go inside. The food that is sold there is cheap and they sometimes have really good free music in their "food court". The Southwest Surfers for example do a lot of Beach Boys, and other 60's music, and they really are great! I'd go back just to listen to them play. However, in terms of shopping, there are a whole lot of stores that sell the same merchandise like clothing, toys, yard decorations, tools, kettle corn, etc. The prices can be very reasonable to pretty expensive for a flea market type shopping area. And don't expect that the same product will be the same price at the next store. I saw small sink drain catchers go for $2 at one place, $1 at another, and 25 cents at another. It's a great place to walk around and browse and every time I go I find I buy a little something, but don't go expecting this to be a traditional flea market or swap meet, it's a whole bunch of stores of various sizes.

By Ann A |

My friends and I went to the swap meet to look for the 5 crowns card game. We had so much fun at all the venders.

By Brian C |

This place is huge, if you walk every aisle. I didn't record it, but it had to be at least two miles. It has loads kiosks with the same items. Lots of little junkie chotchkis. Several hardware joints, small, sometimes hard to find items. Plenty of clothing, mostly women's, places. A few MAGA places - ugh - some of us veterans actually think beyond nationalism. Lose a star. Otherwise, always a good excuse for a long walk.

By Curious Traveler |

Put your walking shoes on! You’ll find friendly vendors galore here and something you never knew you needed. Have fun!

By Amy B |

We visit every time we are in Arizona! The rugs and dried fruit stands are my favorite place to stop (and purchase).

By Check-My-Bucket-List |

During the summer months, the activity at the Mesa Market is severely reduced !!
The vendors are fewer, the patrons are fewer and the assortment of products are fewer. Even the shopping days are reduced to just Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Check their website to be sure which months are involved.

Having said that, if you are looking for an area rug or an entryway rug this is the place to go. Assortment is amazing prices are outstanding and even at that they are willing to dicker on the price, at least that's what I have found in the summer months.

I have also had good luck with inexpensive jewelry, a large RV mat for outside our motorhome, there are all kinds of lawn ornaments… and lady summer clothing. For inside the house there are many of the same pictures that you see in the winter time, and assortments of wallhangings and indoor decor.

They have mist blowing fans set up in the ceiling about every 20 feet and it seems to cool off the indoor tent. If you're an early riser, check out their earlybird breakfast.
It is a great deal for only two or three dollars.

No matter what the month of the year or the season you visit Arizona, visiting the Mesa Marketplace Swap Meet is always entertaining.

By Penelope E |

In season (October through March) this swap meet is over crowded; if you bring your children hang onto them. Whatever you need is readily available but we found some prices were comparable through Amazon. Prepare to spend hours here to see everything from A to Z. Food stalls have average food and the parking lot is vast, so you're in for a hike if you get here later in the day.

By Dwight S |

If you can't find it here (and at a great price!), you don't need it! Plan on at least 3 to 4 hours and lots of walking! Get there early in the morning if you can, as it gets quite busy later on.

By Mei Mei B |

This swap mart has been around for years. It is kept clean, but is offers merchandise that no one needs.

By Rod W |

The hotel I stayed at was only a couple of blocks away from this market. Did all my souvenir shopping in this market. Also ate a couple of meals here also. Vendors will haggle on prices so have fun with it.

By cjarutunian |

Great place to find almost anything you want from soup to nuts. Phone cases are exceptionally inexpensive. Bought Sheets that were inexpensive and 1000 thread count. If you can think of anything you need or want, it's there.

By Marc W |

This palce is a lot different from their web site., I have seen garqage sales that look better. The pavement was full of holes that had a lot of water and some vendors had junk.

By Ginger B L |

I love wandering around this massive facility when it is cooler weather. There is a place to get something to eat when you get hungry from all the walking and shopping. Plenty of parking but make sure you take a good look where you are packed so you can find it when you leave or use a phone app to find where you parked. They have a little of everything. Arizona tees and trinkets for souvenirs, princess dresses for little girls, hot tubs, security doors. You name it, you can probably find it here.

By Pansy08 |

We were surprised by the size of the place. Large selection of items for sale. We will go again, we didn't see everything the first time.

By leaving2day |

Took the teens for a fun day at to the swap meet, they found a ton of interesting things, some were, historic, some were, interesting, some just plain fun. They bought a couple of things had some refreshing drinks, and listened to some musicians. All and all it was s fun time.

By Kathleen B |

This was the second year we have gone to the Market Place. We always find something to buy. It has many booths with lots of variety of merchandise.

By Lmceache |

Fun day to wonder among the “stuff”. Came out in a rainy cold day, but didn’t get wet, great that’s it’s well covered.

By Kathy H |

The Swap Meet is a great stop for Valley visitors and locals. Typically, every available space is filled with vendors, but not all spaces were occupied during this visit. Winter visitors have not arrived in full force, so it is likely the vendors are not all up and running at this time. If the Swap Meet is on your destination list, here are some recommendations. When you are attempting to park, go all the way around the building and park on the west side. More parking spaces are available on that side and it makes exiting much easier. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking. Go early to avoid the crowds. If looking for Mexican pottery/furniture, the vendors will typically not post prices and will negotiate. This place has some of everything so make sure you have adequate time to enjoy it!

By 994shawnj |

We've been here several times over the years. It is freeway close, has plenty of free parking and if you search a bit, you can find a spot near one of the numerous entrances. There are drinks and snacks, but not necesarily what I'd classify as food. Items range from inexpensive trinkets to some so inexpensive doors and gates. Need an area rug, a bag of pistacios, stocking stuffers for the grandkids, you'll find it here...and personally I like it way more than the swap meet in PHX. Warning: if you go in the warmer months be aware that there is shade, there are fans, but no AC.

By Tetonsnow |

Great indoor market and the misters are very much appreciated on a hot summer day! This is a good place to go for yard/landscape deco. The restaurant has really good and inexpensive breakfast. Lots of repeat swap meet items but fun experience. My favorite booth was where I got a Turkish cotton dress, nice Turkish cotton robes and coverups.

By Mike N |

The largest swap meet with a variety of items from arts & crafts to household items and foods and clothing. Put on your walking shoes for a visit.

By Suzette60 |

This market has just about everything you can imagine. We got sunglasses, phone accessories and a turquoise ring and a few more items. You could spend a day here. There is also a snack bar here.

By dpdau1111 |

Spent 3.5 hours and did not see everything. If you can't find it here you probably don't need it. Even if you do find it you probably don't need it.

By Chris A |

If you like bargain hunting then this is the place for you! Tons of reasonably priced items neatly organized. This is a fun place to shop and walk around to get your exercise. The concession areas are clean and offer reasonably priced snacks and meals. The restrooms are always clean and nicely appointed. If you don’t walk out of here with a treasured bargain...you just aren’t trying! You can find anything from name brand cell phone cases, jewelry, motor scooters and more! We can’t wait until our next visit to Mesa Market Place!!!!!

By Winks |

If you want to cover all the buildings allow yourself at least 3 or more hours. We only covered two buildings in three hours. When you stop to look at some things time goes fast. I definitely want to go again!

By DianeG2015 |

Variety of vendors. About 5 rows of booths that went on forever. Lot if repetition but u can negotiate price especially if u pay with cash. We went in sat. Morning and wasn't too crowded. Aisles are very wide and room to walk around in booth's. Food reasonably priced.can park anywhere for have several entrances.

We usually go to the Mesa Market once a year. There are always new things to see. Are they life changing things? No, but we always end up buying something. This trip we went with friends, one of which has some health issues and we knew he could rent a scooter. The place is huge so the scooter was a great idea.

The food and beer choices are pretty weak, but I think they are aimed at a different clientele than me, as the lines are long & slow. So the majority seem to be happy with the choices. This trip we went on a Friday morning, by noon it was so crowded my friend could barely get through with his scooter. The clientele is pretty old for the most part. I joked with my friends that I like to go to the MM to make myself feel younger in comparison to the rest of the people.

By philipbarwick |

Great place to go for a walk around, there's always a new gadget on sale and great golf equipment bargains.

By Trina W |

This is a very large swap meet. Went during their Halloween celebration so was able to see many folks dressed in costumes. A lot of the vendors were handing out treats. There was a musician providing entertainment. There were so many different items for sale. Lovely yard decorations, miscellaneous nic naks, beautiful paintings and gorgeous rugs. There really was something for everyone.

By jleerocks |

This place is huge! Friendly sellers. Some like to haggle, some don't. Good deals on unique treasures! Great way to get some exercise on a nice day. There is a little bit of everything here!!! To see it all, you may need several days.

By Mary P |

We arrived friday, mid morning and found ample parking available. We found many gadgets and things that we didn't even know existed. It's a fun place to browse and wander through. Buyer beware, know your prices! Just because it's being sold out there doesn't mean it's a bargain.

By skfrmby |

Absolutely a must-do when in the area....even if just for the people-watching!
There are some deals...some vendors have more than one booth...the other will be on another aisle...but the prices are generally the same.
A few unique items to be had...but mostly it’s just the experience of being there. A great way to get in your daily steps too.
The wind whips through the aisles so if it is cool out make sure you wear a jacket...or buy one there!

By Mary C |

several isles of merchandise of all kinds. good place to do Christmas shopping. some good food and wonderful entertainment.

By Ray B |

If you like to shop you’ll like visiting here in the winter. Hundreds of vendors selling everything from back scratchers to golf carts. Prices aren’t that great but it’s a good walk.

By Travel586959 |

Ample parking very roomy good way to spend an afternoon found great deal on golf balls and plants as well.

By Colleen N |

Mesa Market place is huge and quite popular on weekends , so get there early if you can. You'll find vendors selling just about everything imaginable. -- from quality home decor items to clothing, kitchen equipment, outdoor furniture, r.v. supplies and golf equipment. Wear your walking shoes and plan to stay for a while if you want to see everything.

There's also a food court and, often, live music.

By AndersonSK |

This is a massive flea market under tents with hundreds of vendors, some who have been there for years. Lots of stuff I would never buy, but there’s always something to bring home.

Look out for the metal and glass art coming in from Mexico. There are a couple of those vendors who are the most wonderful people.

There is food in a court in the centre of it all with some sometimes kitschy entertainment on the weekend. Last time I went the entertainer was a guy I knew but hadn’t seen in 45 years.

It’s a must go every time I’m in town.

By coyleen |

Lots of venders! Much to see & buy. Great buys. Watch for quality of items. Some are cheaply put together but many are not. Cheaper than other places. Find things toug can't find elsewhere. G great for souvenirs!

By 631dellaf |

Four huge tents filled with t-shirts, other apparel, gadgets, rugs, garden items, Mexican and Indian pottery, art, you name it and you will find it at the Mesa Market. There is food, beer and music. Most things are very inexpensive and if you are a browser you will like this treasure trove. A great way to put in a couple of hours.

By CindyLou2262 |

Mesa market
I loved, loved, loved this market. Everyone that worked there were so pleasant. You don’t find that often anymore.

People want to get out, people want to live, and to be able to support their families. This market is only open on the weekend but, I think it was worth the drive and I loved the things that I purchased. Someday when I buy a house I know the places I will be going back to purchase items, and this is one of those places.
I WOULD highly recommend!

By Inzenga |

It takes a few hours to walk the entire site. It was clean and safe, with lots of parking. There were reasonably priced concession stands scattered throughout the property. All in all a good 1/2 day experience.

By William Y |

New or used,if your looking for a bargain on tools or jackets, this swap meet had some great bargains on used tools and I bought a new leather vest for a cheap price.

By jerryz0528 |

This is quite an experience. 4 huge buildings, each at least a football field in length and selling everything from golf equipment to house hold gadgets. From rugs to hearing aids. Be prepared for a lot of walking. They do rent carts for handicap people. Live music and snack bar for meals.
My wife usually visits twice a month.

By SeattleBrooklynBoy |

My wife and I always enjoy going out there or taking those who are visiting us here in Arizona. It’s always lots of fun to walk around and look at all the different merchants that are there.

Depending on the time of year you need to dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. During the winter dress warmly enough since it’s covered with concrete floors. The spring time gets a little better but definitely in the summer go early in the morning before the intense heat.

There is a huge variety of merchandise. My wife enjoys shopping for a new purse down there and the quality and prices are decent. It’s a great place to for young kids because there’s some things that are in their price ranges and interest.

Don’t feel like you have to park immediately when you pull in the further you go the more spaces there are and you can go around the entire building.

If you like carnival or fair type food there’s plenty of it.

By Wade1958 |

Best to get there early on the weekend mornings if you want to avoid the crowds. There are coupons for a $2 breakfast special so there can be long lines in the Row 2 Food court and the tables do not clear quickly if the musical entertainment is on. Some high-pressure salespeople but most are pretty chill and will talk you up a bit I stock up on tee shirts, sun/hike hats, golf supplies, sandals, replacement clubs and tools.

By K h |

Not your typical swap meet. Good food music and plenty of shade for walking the aisles. A bit like a bazaar

By worldtraveler1040 |

Went to flea market expecting to find good deals and unusual things. That was not the case . There were only two buildings open and several shops were closed. They have the same clothing in all the clothes shop and it was expensive. 29.99 for a dressy women's shirt. Dresses I saw in specialty shop were more expensive at the flea market. Yes they had sunglasses, outdoor decor, luggage/purses, screen doors etc. But I could have just walked through 5 booths and saw everything that was offered in the entire flea market. Not worth the trip...

By McKinley T |

I had the chance to visit this swap meet while in town on Sunday 9/24/17. I was expecting larger crowds around 12:30 pm. Plenty of free parking. Plenty of vendors selling almost everything. Some of the vending stalls were closed or abandoned. I was able to find what I was looking for (Arizona coffee mugs and a Dallas Cowboys t-shirt). Met a few Cowboys fans along the way as well.

I probably would not revisit unless I was specifically looking for something that I already spotted there. Great place to pass some leisure time with a sit down dining area.

By Bonnie H |

By the name and the fact I'd heard about how huge this place is I expected it to be a true swap meet/flea market with people selling old furniture and odds and ends from their homes...a place to find new-to-me treasures and things to refurbish. Not so. This is a large number of tented shops hawking the kind of goods you'd find at a carnival or cheap mall...think mostly China and tacky. Highly disappointing.

By jfd |

This is an enormous semi outdoor shopping experience. The day we went it was very cold despite being covered. Food is available. There is a huge variety of merchandise, outdoor knick knacks, tools, clothing, souvenirs, hats, golf stuff, etc.
Lots of parking available wear good shoes.

By ladyomaha |

This place is huge. You can spend 3-4hours going through all the stalls. Bathrooms and food are available. Plenty of free parking. You can buy swim suits, cactus, shoes, rugs, decorative outdoor signs, jewelry, and so much more. Items are all pretty inexpensive.

By Johann20172017 |

If you have not been to this this place, there is no way you can believe what it is. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the entire State of Arizona leaves their homes and comes here. And, staggering to believe, there is plenty of free parking for everyone. And, speaking of free, entrance is also free.
It is NOT a flea market. Their stuff is new. Many if the sellers are winter visitors themselves. Need a golf cart? An oriental rug! A new Mexican Train set. A t shirt rubbed with genuine Arizona dirt? Scarfs? Screwdrivers? Bread? A genuine reproduction of an antique Ford sign. Come here.
Gastronomically, we dined polish and beer. Nutrition is their goal.

By Mike C |

Make sure you have good walking shoes as this place is big! A good place to buy souvenirs and cheesey home decor. Good prices on area rugs and low-end jewelry. Not a lot of variety. How many kitchen utensil stores do you need? Only open Friday to Sunday.

By Peanut020613 |

I was visiting my sister for a week and we decided to hit the swap meet! It was really cool seeing all of the different things each section had for sale. There’s literally something for everyone. During the summer months it isn’t as full as winter months. My sister said that is due to the winter months having the snow birds around so more people are there to sell during that time. There were still two full rows of vendors though!

By Jakerz84 |

Tons of knick knacks things at this flee market.

More cheap type one off stuff or collectibles. Huge grounds though and lots of walking to do.

Huge with seniors. One great thing is they have a live band, numerous grills and hits for grabbing food and beers.

Went here twice only due to my wife. I didn't find anything but she did.

By Morris G |

Lots of different things here ranging from gifts to carpets and household goods. Almost anything you are looking for is here. There are some food stands and entertainment as well. Definitely worth a visit for sure. Hundreds of booths with lots of variety.

By rarejule |

In town with my parents and it was the only thing on their 'must see' list and it didn't disappoint. My dad was pushed around in a wheelchair and easily was able to get into store areas and see, touch and feel everything he wanted. We spent a couple hours wandering the stalls that were open (October) and only a few of the shops had 'repeat' type items so plenty of variety. Bring cash, or find the ATMs, for an additional discount in some shops. We got there early and it wasn't too crowded or hot this time of year.

By laurajb321 |

Definitely worth checking out. Lots of interesting things. I found I few things I couldn't live without. Only saw about half of it - if that - started to see the same things over and over.

By scarl6911 |

This is a nice flea market. It's clean and not junky. If they don't have it, you don't need it! They have music and a food court area. It's a fun place to spend a day. It gets crowded but there is plenty of parking. A must do at least once while in Mesa.

By Bonita T |

I do love going to this place. Plenty of parking and a large variety of vendors. Wide aisles and organized neatly.

By Gary M |

This place has a huge variety of interesting things from fountains the sunglasses. Prices are fair or more than fair with a wide variety of items to select from.

By Abbow |

The brochure for the Marketplace probably offers its best description: "recreational shopping." The four long buildings are chock full of vendors offering everything from hot tubs to golf carts and clubs to kettle corn, luggage, hardware, edibles, luggage, clothing and "stuff." Best tips: go early to avoid the crowds, go when it's cool and wear your walking shoes--it's a mile+ walk if you do the whole place. Some booths offer similar merchandise with similar prices, but there are more than enough unique booths to make the shopping experience worthwhile. Suggest you bring cash for flexibility. Some vendors take plastic with a minimum purchase requirement, others have no restrictions, and a few are cash-only. Hours vary between the hot and cold months, and there appear to be less vendors on site during the summer. Check the website for operating hours and discount coupons. Food is available for hungry shoppers. A bit of good news is that the parking area is vast and free. Just keep track of where you park and where you enter! All in all, this is a unique and fun way to spend a few hours, even if you have no intentions of buying anything...but good luck with that!

By bluekitchen12 |

I enjoy taking our guests to Park & Swap. It is a unique collection of vendors that have useful and unusual items for sale. I go a few times a year to find those items you just can’t buy elsewhere. Everything from clothes to pet items. Electronic accessories, cleaning items, jewelry and so much more at a great price. And no worries about sun exposure as all four isles are under covers. The isles are long so there is lots of walking. The food is good and so is the entertainment. Plenty of parking. Overall a fun place to go and see. You may find that one item you just can’t live without.

By Jane |

This flea market sure has a wide variety of things look at...and fun live entertainment but I didn't find many "deals"...actually most prices seemed high.

By vresheree |

Have gone several times over the years. I usually go early to avoid the crowds. Lots of variety, several concessions. Lots of home decorating items, clothing, landscaping, luggage, golf equipment, games, and more. Enjoy the live music on one of the middle aisles. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 to 4:00. Wear conformable shoes.

By David B |

Made the long drive based on thier website. Very disappointed. Overpriced resale products. Only about half the space was being used. Go downtown Mesa instead.

By Mary M |

This place has anything and everything that you may or may not need. I did enjoy the $2 breakfast(with coupon from newspaper) and listening to Inca Gold while we ate. I got my ring cleaned for free (bought the product) and found an antennae stick that gets us better tv reception than the old rabbit ears did for $16. Plan to walk and gawk and spend at least two hours at the Swap Meet. You never know what you might find, unless you go and look around.

By Joe |

This place is very fun to go to with family, be prepared to spend the whole day there because it is very big. I have gone 3 times and have loved it every time. I recommend bringing visitors here to have some fun.

By nas1221 |

When I visit the Mesa Market Place Swap Meet looking for a bargain I am often disappointed. It is quite large, but several of the spaces are owned by the same vendor with the same merchandise. Don't get me wrong-sometimes you can find unique items and good deals on merchandise you may not find elsewhere. And Sometimes you can find the same merchandise for a lesser price at your local Frys grocery store.

By Happy |

There is lots to look at and buy. Large variety of stuff. Better to visit in the winter months because after all, it is outdoors and in Arizona it gets pretty hot, even though it is shaded.

By Deborah F |

Been here a couple of times. Mostly it’s just to roam around and people watch. But, a couple of times I was hunting for something specific. I have always been able to find what I’m looking for. Several vendors are selling the same things (like phone cases; outdoor decor; kitchen gadgets). It gets pretty crowded in the cooler months but even in the summer, misters help to keep you cool.

By Lynn T |

This place is great. We go every year at least 2-3 times. The prices are good, they have food court. It takes a few hours to see everything. Wear comfortable shoes

By 686valy |

This is an interesting place to go if you haven't been there before. It's only open on weekends & is open air so if it's cool out it's chilly in there. There are several vendors selling the same items for slightly different prices. Expect to spend some time there browsing.

Neat area for odds and ends. Crafts, art, yard art, you name it. Even have live music and food. Nice stop for locals and visitors both.

By Aria P |

My family took us there and everyone was so nice . We found a great set of patio furniture and a cool outdoor double swing. .. definitely come out and make time it's huge.

By TravelingKat217 |

We've been going to the Market every two to three months for several years now, and it's still a novelty to us. We find stuff for ourselves and our house, and good souvenirs (t-shirts, jewelry and such) for sending to family living elsewhere. We also use the Market as a good meeting place for friends and family who live here. Good cheap breakfast and we have fun!

By ggourde1 |

Fun to just look around but you can find unique items that jump out at you. Such a variety that keeps you coming back for specific items you use on a regular basis. Great way to spend 2-4 hours!

By patriciamS8347PD |

Ample easy parking. Location is good. Overall design works exceptionally well. Not an overwhelming amount of duplicate Vendors. Go in morning its cooler and less busy. You can barter to get better deals and there are lots of items you don't find in regular stores. Perhaps a few more Antique Vendors would be in order... but remember.... (you need knowledge, experience and a good eye for these items) I'll be back !

By CONNIEW5108 |

Went on a Friday and was very very busy with snowbirds in Arizona at the time. Too much displays in middle of aisles makes it hard to get around when it is that crowded. Has a lot of variety.

By Julie R |

Lots of vendors. A variety of choices. Is mostly covered and the misters were on so it was not too hot.

By Scott D |

I remember I come out here when I see my family. They have nice stuff at here. Did not have any problems here

By Punkin&Ducky |

Great place to bring visiting family and friends. So much to see, always fun and exciting. Sometimes we go just to walk around and people watch. Highly recommend

By Robyn K |

I love going here. There is such a wide variety of items that you can get. The live entertainment is wonderful. When we were there, it was Memorial weekend and they had a very touching salute to all of the fallen soldiers and members of the military. This is a must see if you are ever in the Mesa area

By Vickie R |

We have been to this market several times, but this time we were on a mission needing a clay pot. We found a beautiful one from Tres Amigos... they have Alot of wonderful, fun things. We found a 6ft artificial palm tree that was a great price also.
Plan on spending the entire day and start early, they shut down at 4pm but open at 7am..
The market is very clean, wheelchair friendly and does have several concession stands with burger, chops, hot dogs etc

By BajaBuddies2 |

This Swap meet is open 7am-4pm Fri, Sat, and Sun only. It is huge !! Great deals on quality T-Shirts, southwest furniture, yard decor, and much much more.
Always Bargain for outdoor items, yard items and more.
There are restaurants for breakfast, lunch or snacks. I love to look !! So many
great gift options here. Go Check it out !!

By stonefinder1 |

We love coming here, some stuff is a little pricey like the Mexican decorations. Most stuff is reasonable, Nice Carpets, snack bars and very clean reastrooms

By Surrey18643 |

Great place to wander around and find products not found together in one spot. A variety of products low to high prices when looking at quality goods. We go back each time we go to the Mesa area. Would recommend at least one trip.

By AZwonder |

I have been hearing about this place for a couple of years. Finally went to see it and it is a great way to spend the day. Lots of things to see and prices are good. Will be going back for sure.

By Bob R |

My sister and I went to the Mesa Market. She was looking for Mexican Vanilla and bought about 8 large bottles. She takes them back for Family. They have just about anything you could want at this place. Go. Visit. Stroll around. You are bound to see something you like and great, great pricing. Remember where you park though cause you can get lost.

By Fsh4Fn |

My wife loves this place. I've been there several times and bought a few things that were interesting and helpful. Major purchases we have made elsewhere due to the cost. The Mesa Market is not inexpensive.

By Becky M |

Wear comfortable walking shoes, and give yourself at least 2-3 hours to mosey your way through this ginormous market. Over 1,500 venders offering items for every room of your home, your yard, car, RV, etc. Lots of fun and unique gadgets. There is a food court that offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items....the chili is delicious!

There is no fee for parking or entrance into the market. Even if you don’t buy a thing, you will definitely be entertained.

By juliebfromindy |

We love the market place! You can get furniture, rugs, clothing, Jewerly and many other items there. You will find knock offs among the real so be careful. There are snack bars and restrooms. You can rent scooters if you need them to view all the booths. You can spend 2 to 6 hours there depending on your hunting skills. Venders will deal with you but many have great prices. Parking is easy and venue is covered but open air.

By Linda A |

We spent about 3 hours walking the many aisles. A lot of the same things, but enough variety to make it interesting and fin. Bathrooms were available and benches for resting.

By traveljunky88 |

Parking is easy and there's plenty of it.
Everything you could want, and quite a few things you never even thought of.
In some cases, prices are close to retail store pricing, but I'm sure those stores will be weeded out- we don't go to a swap meet to pay retail prices, after all...
On the day we visited, because of uncharacteristic high humidity, the vendors were anxious to close, and began closing down 1 hr + before scheduled closing time.
Good music.
Lots of food available so make this a day trip.
Dress for the outdoors, although the venue is covered, and wear comfortable shoes.

By Gara R |

This was enormous! Every vendor seemed well-stocked and there was a huge variety of items available for purchase. The vendors were all very pleasant. We walked around for over two hours and didn’t get everywhere! There was something for everyone.

By Stell M |

Plan to spend several hours here! Many different stalls and wares. Fun, unique, visitors like to go here! Live music is great in open eating area.

By SaskatoonHappy |

Our friends winter here in Mesa and always talked about this place. So we just had to plan to spend the day here on a Saturday; and that we did. I love shopping for bargains. 1.5 miles of shopping with 1600 shopping vendors. Lots of everything you can think of at really good prices. A nice place to eat and listen to music. If you go on line, you can get a coupon for breakfast for $2.00. Hours are from 7 AM to 4PM. Fri/Sat/Sun. Free admission. I bought a couple of really nice tops which I would never find back home. Fenders are very friendly and helpful. All rows are covered so you can shop even if it is raining! Lots of free parking too. Dress comfortable with good walking shoes (concrete flooring). Enjoy!!

By Richard G |

Get a new battery for your watch, eat something and shop for presents for yourself or someone else. One parking spot and many stores to pick from

By Paul |

I plan to be in the area this April. I am wondering if there are any Ham Radio/Amateur Radio electronic vendors at this market ?

By frwty |

Second time there, and found that the prices are better than typical flea markets. Lots of parking, and spots to get something to eat.

By Arlene |

My husband and I walked this amazing Swap Meet Sunday for 2 1/2 hours. It kept going and going. Tent after Tent….. yes repeat vendors….. but that’s cool. A lot of Arizona themed products …you’ll know what you’re looking for when you see it!
We’ll definitely go back.

By Sue981 |

I shop here several weekends during the year. Even if not purchasing, it's a fun place to wander. However, I usually do make purchases. It's great!

By 1207las |

You can find the typical notmal stuff here. No traditional flea market of normal people selling there garage style sale. That’s the only thing missing, otherwise it’s cool enough to check out.

By ILtravel |

Only open on weekends. Large swap meet under tents. (no AC) they have any household gadget and decor you can think of as well as clothes, shoes and jewelry. Good prices. Also a good place to pick up games. Great place if you are looking for an Arizona T-shirt.There are a few food counters throughout as well as live music in the main area.

By palomah1 |

My wife and I along with a couple of friends went to the market a couple of weeks ago in the AM to beat the Arizona Heat, haven’t been there in a while, same Flea Market it has always been, plenty of everything, hard to see all the stalls. Some good Bargins here and there, but you have too be willing to negotiate with the Stall Owners a bit. Won’t wait so long to return.

By Michael_E01 |

We expected more from this place. At first glance, it looks overwhelming but after about 10 minutes or so there comes a realization that the same touristy merchandise is sold everywhere. We envisioned more of a unique vibe and as a result were somewhat disappointed.

By mavarick2018 |

Had an afternoon to kill so stumbled on to this swap meet. I'm not a fan at all of the swap meets that have every piece of garbage someone is trying to get rid of, they are a waste of time but this one looked different and it was for sure. All the booths were very professional and had quality stuff at great prices. The place was very large and well organized. It has a couple snack bars that sell food, pop and beer and the center even has some live music. This was a great trip and I will be back again.

By Kismutt |

Everything and anything at reasonable prices , give yourself at least 3 hours to walk through , really enjoy the shopping experience and the live music at the eating area!

By Brad W |

We really enjoy Mesa Market and make it a point to visit every time we are in Mesa. There is more to see in the winter than in the summer. There are some great bargains for all the bargain hunters out there.

By Chuck E |

Upon arrival at the swap meet with my host, I couldn't believe the size of the place. I have been to large swap meets before and enjoy them but this one is over the top. Most of it is all under 4 separate roofed buildings. No need to worry about the hot sun or rain.
It has nice wide paved aisles which makes it easy to walk through despite the hoards of people going in all directions. There are intersections just like streets and it's easy to get "lost" there.
It was so much fun. We spent about 3 hours there and didn't see every lane and alley but, to be honest, after a while I did begin to notice many duplicate stalls but we forged on because we were afraid we would miss something.
Anyway, I came back with a few treasures: among them was a throw blanket for a sofa in my den and several kitchen gadgets that I was never able to replace because I couldn't find anywhere to buy them.

This place has everything !! Next time I'm down in Mesa the swap meet will be first on my list and I'll bring an empty carry on bag for when I fly home .

By Conrad L |

It seems like the tents surrounding the vendors go for miles in every direction. Everything imaginable is for sale here from hand made licorice and jewelry to locally crafted iron patio and porch furniture with ceramic inlays. Throw in live music, food and a festive atmosphere and this place has to be seen to be believed. Don't miss it.

By Greg S |

I went here on a Sunday morning and was not impressed. I found that the items were repeated in every aisle. It is very large and seems to be popular but I just think it’s a glorified yard sale. I doubt I’ll return anytime soon.

By borgmaul |

Plan at least 3 to 4 hours, wear good shoes, and have cash. Can barter better with some folks if you have cash. Lots and lots and lots of items, there is some repetition of items offered, but not too bad. All items I saw were new or handmade, no used junk. Will go to again next time i am in the area.

By ardis t |

Looking for a couple things and found more than expected. A covered shopping experience. A large variety of new items available here.

By Dwight D |

Great place to just hang out, lots of cool stuff, and great prices. If they don't have what you need than it hasn't been made. Gotta go to place....

By Andrea E |

We visit the Mesa Market each year that we come to the Mesa area. It is huge and there is so much to look at. There is a shop we purchase from each year to add to our collection of desert decor we have for our deck back home in Minnesota. It is a lot of the same stuff each year, pretty crowded but it is still fun with our family!

By Reenz |

On vacation we visited with grandparents and had many aisles of different things, food items, clothing options and gadgets. Parking was crazy but park on the back side to get out quicker. Busy at all times. Live entertainment. Cheaper food items and beer at concessions.

By AzUhl |

I go to the Mesa Market Place about once every couple months just to see what is new and interesting and always end up buying something! I don't feel like the name signifies the place. I am from Kansas and to me a swap meet is some place that you go on Sundays and look at items the vendors have made or purchased over the last week, think the old Greyhound Park or Flee Market Flip on HGTV, that is not what this place is. I guess that is why one is called Flee Markets and this is swap meet, but I doubt if any merchant would swap you their product for a basket of tomatoes or a bucket of milk!

This is a lot of merchants buying new products and selling them in a covered area on weekends just like any other mall. Except instead of items you can find in other malls, you can get silk flowers, suite cases, no name watches and T-Shirts. Lots of other items all at reduced prices than what you would find at any discount store. If you can think of needing it, its probably there.

I have bought everything from hats to spotting scopes, from dips to wallets there and have been pleased with everything. I bought my Mom an Arizona styled shirt there 10 years ago and she still wears it from time to time and she says she always gets compliments on it.

By lindykaye |

We managed to cover the whole thing in about three hours. Was pleased to see handcrafted work and antiques mixed in with your typical swap meet items. Very clean and well-organized. Lots of places to sit and people watch should you need to take a break. Lots and lots of parking.

By Implumber |

We've had to come back twice just to see it all and still don't think we are done yet. The music being played in the middle is great, nice place to take a break and relax.

By Don C |

While most folks do not need 99% of what is for sale here, it is still a fun place to go!! Most of the time you find something to drag home!

By Junkgirl2012 |

We went last year so I was excited to visit again when we came back, however was somewhat disappointed. Pretty much every other booth is generic bulk items. Not a lot of unique items. I did buy a cute canvas purse for $20. Will try again next year to see if things improve.

By Bee569 |

Well organized and clean facility. Early morning shopping best as it got very crowded by noon, making it difficult to negotiate aisle with a motorized scooter (disabled shopper). Vendors had business cards with the booth locations that made it much easier to revisit and for reference for future visits.

By MsAustin |

Lots of vendors, mostly of the commercial variety. Not like the swap meets in the southeast but still fun. Great layout, wide aisles, huge selection. The shade and misters are great for the summer!

By 122251 |

You can find jewelry from very inexpensive, such as a $5 for anything Necklaces, earrings etc., (quality not great)
to beautiful hand crafted silver jewelry. The bargains are where you find them, don't expect everything is going to be super cheap. Vendors are getting pretty generous prices on quality goods.
Had a lot of fun shopping with my friends. Found some beautiful Laramar (?) jewelry from Dominican Republic, very nice workmanship on bracelets and necklaces.
Thought parking would be a problem on Friday morning, but people are coming and going , just have to cruise the lot .
There was music and food , hot dogs, hamburgers etc. OK.
Have fun, wear comfortable shoes.

By Mtgal2travel |

Many booths the same stuff. Good place if you are in for a very long walk! Good music! Didn’t have food so can’t comment on that. Good parking.

By Norma Jean R |

It has a great variety of items for locals and tourists. It has food, entertainment and items priced for all budgets. Enjoyed our time there.

By Laurie K |

This was a cool flea market, inside under tent like isles but it's super hot in there. A lot of the vendors have huge fans in their booths. We found some cool things to take home but couldn't buy a lot of the things we wanted as we are getting on a plane to go home tomorrow and it costs too much to ship the larger items.

There are 4 buildings but only 2 were open when we were there but after first building it's all the same stuff over and over. Make sure you check because 1 booth may have item for $19.99 10 booths up same item may be $12.99 so watch your prices. All the booths have the number on the floor in from of their booth like A150

This place has everything from tshirts, rugs, shoes, plants, metal art, jewelry , wallets, belts, toys etc etc it was a cool place and something to do for a couple hours, you can even walk around with a beer LO.

Easy to find right on baseline rd in Mesa you can't miss the huge tents, we had fun browsing.

By Teresa B |

Vendors galore!!! You can spend hours on end in here just browsing!! Found my favorite Rada knives at a couple vendors here and looking forward to going back to shop more. Always a huge crowd, concession stand, and entertainment.

By heleneb141 |

Lots of small shops, great if you want to shop! Takes a couple of hours just to walk around if you don't stop! I prefer going early in the AM, parking spaces are available closer to the entrances and it is cooler weather. If you look for something unusual or just the right little gift for the family back home, this is a good place to go.

By Laura |

If you like flea markets, it is a fun visit. They’ve got food and live entertainment, and plenty of benches where your spouse can wait patiently for you.

By Larry W |

Interesting way to spend a morning or afternoon on the weekend looking at low cost items. A lot of the items are brand new, so you really aren’t looking at other people’s junk it is mostly cheaper type products though.

By grannysharonb |

This is great for a rainy day. 4 large buildings of everything you can think of....clothes, sports gear, toys, jewelry, gadgets, household decor. Wear your walking shoes.

By Travelgal60s |

We visited this swap meet because we were looking for a specific item. It was very crowded. There was a steady stream of cars going in and out. The stalls were average, and it seemed like a lot of them sold pretty much the same stuff. We were not overly impressed, but it is a large meet with everything enclosed in tents. It felt a bit like a crowded maze. We would only visit again if we were looking for something specific again.

By 24QueenBee |

Lots of unusual and colorful items for sale in the endless booths. It easily takes more than one trip to see all the offerings. Food booths as well as live plants are available. All sorts of stuff you never knew you needed!

By Susi135 |

family here in Mesa and they recommended this swap meet. Very nice that it is covered/indoor as that helps with the heat here in Arizona. Decided to write this review especially for Kayla (sp?) who sells lots of pretty bracelets, fun stickers, and inspirational magnets, pins, etc. Walking through this swap meet with very nice vendors and interesting merch, we were unfortunately taken a bit aback by some displays of offensive signs referring to democrats and other pro-Trump nonsense. Kayla's stand caught our eye because she had a USA Pride flag predominantly displayed. We have LGBTQ family members, so feeling a little bit of support in what otherwise could be a hostile environment was such a blessing! We made sure to make a purchase from Kayla to show her the support this young lady so deserves. Let's show more support and not hate - that's way to go. Thank you, Kayla!!!

By huggingl |

This is a large “Flea Market” type market, but all the items are new. It is fun, they have music and food and some entertainment. It is a fun morning out.

By KathleenBlount |

This place has a ton of shops but they were pretty much the same things in different rows. I’m sure there were unique things in areas, but they generally looked the same. If you like looking at flea markets, I imagine you’ll enjoy this. All the items appeared to be new. It wasn’t like used items. If you need to kill time, it’s worth it.

By Teabop12 |

It a fun thing to do and free to get in. The things inside you can get almost any where. If you look behind the vendors area most of the boxes say made in China.

By Delbert B |

There is a lot of vendors at this swap meet. Many of them with the same items. they have music and food. They are serious about the now animals allowed policy.

There are just some things that can only be bought at a swap meet. This one will have many of those items. The hours vary by the time of year. Check before you go

By Ronald B |

Prices was ok and the things I need they have. Just too many stalls either closed or vacant. It's a nice place to walk around with family and lots to see.

By Donna B |

Great deals on lots of tourist items and knick knacks. Reasonable prices and located under cover. Go early to aboid the crowds.

By Rob S |

If I have to go to a swap meet because someone else really likes them, then I usually walk around just for exercise, or to see what coffee & treats there are, or to see how many funny people I see. This place has it all. I still wouldn't go on my own, but it's probably the best one to see. I like how it's laid out, fairly neat & clean. I'm usually surprised by the new and innovative things for sale. There are bargains. So every time I'm near Mesa I try and stop in, but of course not alone. I've even bought a few things. Some clothes, things you don't often see.

By Cherylx6 |

If it wasn't so hot 116°, I believe I would really have enjoyed this place. It should be more like an evening shop instead of closed at three maybe open at six and close at 10 when it's a lot cooler. Even the vendors were standing in the middle of the Isles where the misters were. The Mr's were so high up they came down but not enough really to hit you only eventually, this I can understand because it would ruin the merchandise. These are nothing like when you go to Disney World and they have those huge misters everywhere to keep you cool. Lots of merchandise great prices if you were local. There were a lot of items that I would've loved to have purchased and shipped home I'm a sucker for handmade. This is probably a wonderful place to shop during the non-Summer months. If it is a cool day this is a must see place you'll pick up a lot of items and get some local things.

By Chris J |

We were hoping to find a good old fashioned flea market with antiques and kitschy second-hand treasures. Instead, this swap meet is filled with people trying to sell new Crocs, home siding, mass-produced junk and an occasional artisan. After you get through the first isle you’ve pretty much seen everything this swap meet has to offer. Then you can grab a snack in the food court and listen to some live music.

By 192marcyk |

This was an ok thing to check out. Was not impressed on how it was so many rows of the same stuff.

We only went down 3 of the rows.

By Deanna N |

We really enjoyed the time at this place. it was the best place in the west look for the bargain, bring walking shoes for the great time spent.

By Sam H |

Lots of unique stores with art, spices, shirt s and lots of additional stuff. There is a food court with live music. Fridays are less crowded.

By Susanne H |

Perhaps I didn’t read enough, but I was expecting more flea market, vintage offerings. Instead, all new, mostly imported “stuff”. If you wanted cheap tools, yard art, Southwest jewelry of all qualities or t-shirts, blankets, etc. it’s your place. I did buy a bracelet at significantly less than prices in old town Scottsdale.

By tiahrt |

Anything you might want or even things you don’t know you want is here. 4 isles of packed items for sale at a price you never thought possible. Very inexpensive and nice looking. A “Have to go place” while in this part of AZ.

By seattlerita |

I've been here a few times and enjoy it. There are a lot of decor vendors and a lot of vendors selling the same stuff, which I guess isn't so bad so you don't have to walk the entire place. It's huge and no entrance fee. They have misters to help keep you cool, free live music, food and drinks available for sale. I do miss the old style swap meet, though, where you see regular folks (non-vendors) selling their stuff, too. The kinds of things you would see at a garage/yard sale.

By Sheila W |

We had a great day at the Mesa Market. Lots to look at and some really good deals. Fun day shopping!

By Robert T |

I've been here several times, and will go again! You can find anything here...just ask. It is great for gift shopping! Get a bite to eat and drink while you're there; even listen to some live music while you're eating or resting.

By Allan A |

There are all kinds of merchandise to browse for. I was interested in wood work and different rocks like turquoise and I found what I wanted.
One must take the time and see as much as possible. There is some room for bartering, not much though.

By jmwnuk |

Whatever you want or need, you can find here. The misters help on hot summer days with typically only 2 rows open. During the winter months, WOW, 4 rows open and you can be here all day and not get to check everything out. Bring a lunch or buy a lunch, and listen to the great entertainment at no extra charge. A must for your bucket list.

By sunshine2001 |

Lots of fun items to choose from for any type of gift you are looking for. It's a great place just to walk around and people watch too.

By GreelyGirl |

We visit the marketplace every time we come to Arizona. Lots of different things to buy but noticed that the prices are getting higher every year.

By marywyatt2018 |

I take all my visitors to the swap meet. Everyone has a blast. There is four long buildings with hundreds (or more) shops with everything imaginable. Its a great place to spend 2 to 4 hours or more. It has a snack bar in every row and entertainment in the main row. Swarms of people in season and is still open in off season on a limited basis.

By cowgirlnd |

Very large swap meat - not to be missed. Also serves breakfast. You can find almost anything here. Open Friday, Saturday and sundays

By Billy K |

The swap meet was very large and had a lot of different items for sale some of which I thought were a little bit more expensive than what they could be. There was food and refreshments available as well as alcohol for those looking to enjoy it more

By shelleyclair |

This was a fun place to stop but not a destination . Lots of the same things over and over. Found a few interesting items.

By Judy L |

I love to go to the Swap Meet. There is soooo much STUFF. They have good food and I love the groups that come and entertain. You can find some really UNIQUE items at a pretty good price and there is plenty of free parking.

By jdn242 |

Huge open-air market with over a mile of booths. If they don’t have it you surely don’t really need it.

By urbanguy |

Tons and tons of dealers. I believe 1500+, which is too many to see in one day. We went around 10 A.M. on a Friday, and the crowd was, well, it was crowded. Lots of Arizona/Desert stuff, lots of t-shirts, and everything else you'd expect. Virtually no "antiques." I can only imagine what Saturdays and Sundays are like. And, lucky us, one dealer told us that March was their busiest monthe, and that's when we were there.

Their website states, "we're all about recreational shopping." I didn't know that shopping was recreational.

By Chris B |

The physical set up of the buildings are really good. The people in the vendors and shops are very personable and are not pushy. Didn’t buy anything. I was disappointed that there were no deals here. Everything was at retail that you would find in store fronts and malls. I was expecting some good local food but all they had was something you get at a high school football game. Go early while it’s cool. I went at the end of October and it was 68°

By Dan G |

You should be able to find anything you might want here
As seen on tv to home made salsa. Fun place to visit

By Cathy20152015 |

Recommended as a fun activity on a rare rainey day in Phoenix- the size of this covered "permanent" swap meet was a big surprise. Hundreds of vendors with semi-permanent booths. All products from hot tubs, golf carts to kitchen utensils and tools and clothes (and everything in between) are NEW. Believe this is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday each week. They have live music, a central food court and food/drink kiosks around the market place. No fresh produce booths (so not a farmers market) - but lots of specialty food booths for things like jellies, jerky, BBQ sauces, etc. Bring a carry bag if you plan to shop. While vendors provide bags a handle carry bag will help to not leave purchases behind. Great place to browse. No entry fee, no parking fee. Vendors were welcoming and friendly, so enjoy!

By 968judyh |

Took a friend to the market for her first time. Looked for purses and she found one. Looked at kitchen gadgets, mens tee shirts, water bottle holders. Found all we needed.
Walked thru the 2 aisles to the west which weren't as busy as the front two.
This is an interesting market with some RV supplies, carpets, games, clothes, golf, dried fruit. Live music and seating in the middle. Fast food for sale.

By Trudy Keller |

We visit every year and enjoy the experience. The free entertainment is great. Also a great place to get ones walking exercise.

By krausclan4 |

For how big this place is it would be great if they would eliminate all the duplicate vendors who sell the exact same thing just in a different booth. Fun for something different.

By wendijade |

This is a snowbird wonderland. The items sold are not innovative or updated. The prices are not such a bargain. The food is regular grandstand food, not for the health conscious. My teens hate coming here but out of state visitors think it’s interesting. I do love the live music, that’s the bomb!!! Do not bother going in the summer months, the booths are sparse and there is no A/C. It’s a great place for the elder crowd but a miss for the rest of the family. It has potential to be so much more.

By Joanne V |

Spent many a Sunday strolling around this swap meet. Usually enjoy a nice breakfast while listening to some country music by a local musician. Always a good bibe and whever my parents came to town the loved it. One stall has the best jerky in town btw...

By Lawrence2300 |

I have seen trash for sale before, but rarely so much in one place. Junk on top of more junk with everything either made in China or Kitch.

By Len U |

As a snow bird, an annual visit is a must.... never know what one may find. Always a good day out! You may also run into some friends from back home!

By Campfiver |

We went there because I was looking for something specific. The place is huge, bring your walking shoes. Prices also differ for the same stuff, so be aware. My friend bought some little "coaster" style mats, cute, but not made in the US, She paid for 4 $3.50 I paid for 4 $5. (I found out later what she had paid. So it is buyer beware. There are some bargains I am sure, but you need to know your prices. It was fun though to walk and see all the stuff. We didn't spend more than an hour there as it was close to closing time. Still pretty busy at that time.

There was a lot to check out so being able to drink a cold beer didn't hurt. Be sure to bring cash. You definitely do not want to go on a really hot day ~ however I'm sure it's easier to negoiate payment when the heat drives away the customers.

By kimandlisa |

About 70% of the items you can find other common online places to shop. None of the prices were extraordinary. There were a handful of booths that had hand crafted items. The place was packed with people on Friday morning.

By _missionbliss77 |

Long corridors of vendors selling almost anything you can imagine. Even if you don't need anything it is a fun place to walk through. Snacks are available but didn't see any vegetarian foods.

By Steve and Sharo... M |

Great area with much to see and do. Fair prices and great people and atmosphere... Be sure you know where you are parked when it's time to leave. 😂. It's a HUGE lot to find your vehicle.

By Taina G |

You can buy almost anything here. They have clothes, rugs, furniture, kitchen items, repair items, sport items, food, etc. there is a food court and live music too. Fun day!

By Denise B |

My husband recently had back surgery, so I went alone. That’s when I saw just past the entrance that they rented scooters, so the next time I went, he came with me and tooled around in a nice scooter... $8.00 an hour and worth every penny! Lots to look at, lots of food vendors, music and clean restrooms. It was a fun day! Highly recommend!

By Lmm1174 |

Most of the stuff is kitchee dust collectors row after row. Most of the vendors are selling the same items.

If you like crowds and looking at the same things over and over and over and over and over, this is the place for you.

By F8688HDcharlesp |

Did not go!!! I don't understand why I have to put unnecessary words when I did not attend any events or places.

By DebRoberti |

I like to buy locally made products. I have found a nice selection at this market place. Food stuff like salsa made in Mesa.

By salsa17557 |

I bought a few things. I thought it was reasonable and clean. Hours of entertainment. Parking was free and so was admission. It was fun. It was for all ages. Would definitely be there a lot if I lived there.

By Thomas B |

Come here prepared to do a lot of walking and browsing. On our first visit, we "rushed" through in about 3 hours, so we missed a lot. We found lots of ideas for landscaping and decorating at the various booths, and also found our go-to spot for local honey in the East Valley. I was personally impressed that there were very few "high-pressure" vendors trying to push us to buy something. Most were courteous and helpful, but willing to let us be "just lookers" throughout our visit. We find something new or different every time we go.

By Bittersweet66 |

What can I say, I like the idea of all the vendors in one place (under a roof) and I love bargaining for a better price (or offer cash for no tax) and I feel (quite often) that I am getting a bargain--which makes me happy. Then you can always take a break in the middle row for a snack, a beer and some live music---what's not to like about that? Really, you need to know your prices because you can be taken here just like anywhere else but there are some bargains to be gotten and some unique items to buy---plus you get a good walk; nearly 2 miles end to end! Hang on to your wallet, go early and have fun!

By Jennifer H |

This place is HUGE. We spent almost four House here and didn’t quite make it through the entire place. It’s not overly crowded like some other swap meets you go to in the United States probably partly in part to how massive it is. Be prepared to walk. A lot. And if you can’t walk a lot it might be better to rent a wheelchair and take it with. This place has over 300 booths easy. The food courts are cash only and most of the venders accept cards but some don’t. So bring cash! Enjoy!

By Taylor B |

My sister would love this place. She has a large stall in an antique store in her hometown and regularly makes weekend trips to flea markets all over the Midwest to find rare and old and exotic and unique merchandise. I'll be sure to recommend a trip to the Mesa Market Place Swap Meet in Mesa, Arizona. Located at 10550 East Baseline Road, off exit 193 at Signal Butte Road near the intersection of Signal Butte Road and Highway 60, the 55-acre space plays host to 1,600 vendors each weekend all year round--it opens daily at 7 a.m. under any weather conditions--under covered breezeways to share new and used merchandise with shoppers within view of the Superstition Mountains. Admission and parking are free. There is a food court and live entertainment. But no pets are allowed, only service animals. Shoppers spend hours browsing and buying everything from antiques to collectibles to clothing to cosmetics to home improvement and building supplies to tools to hardware to books to pottery to silverware to china to jewelry to plants to fishing gear to golf equipment to vitamins to authentic Native American collectibles to rocks, yard decorations, paintings, furniture, sculpture, rugs, hats, shoes, cleaning supplies, even pools and spas and fountains. If it isn't here, it probably hasn't been invented yet. Even if you don't purchase anything, which we didn't, it's fun to browse through the stalls and engage in the lively art of people-watching.

By Rick C |

We walked all the aisles. Thought there would be more unique items. Lots of repeat vendors with the same stuff. Not very ‘flea market’ like. The place that served breakfast was very unorganized between ordering, pick up, and paying. The atmosphere was nice. The weather was beautiful. Not sure I would return again with what was offered. Nice to visit once.

By rmarie0789 |

The Mesa Market Place Swap Meet was huge, and there was a lot to see. It did seem that quite a few of the vendors had the same few items, though.

By deschneider |

When you pull into the parking lot, one is surprised by the sheer size of it. We went unsure of what to expect. This mass of tents contained various vendors offering trinkets to golf carts, all kinds of outdoor patio decor, clothing for the whole family in different taste and styles, sunglasses to car seatcovers. The list goes on and on. It has concession stand with food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is a stage that offers live entertainment. Prices vary from pennies to Hundreds of dollars with some of the vendors willing to negotiate prices. Wear good footwear as you willbe doing a lot of walking to see all that is offered.

By overthehill007 |

We arrived before 8:00am to sample the $3.00 breakfast and then get in a good bit of exercise tramping around the 4 huge sheds of vendors selling "Trinkets & trash"

By Karen S |

Covered shopping stalls so you are out of the sun. Lots of different shopping options. There are also restrooms and refreshments on site.

By Indulgent Samurai |

Not a real swap meet or any unique vendors. Prices aren't great and and they wouldn't haggle on the price.

By royalmotherduck |

We so enjoyed browsing through the entire market, and I found affordable souvenirs for everyone on my list. The luggage store is awesome! Great totes and luggage at unbelievable prices. Inexpensive food, including yummy smoothies and root beer floats.

By Billie B |

Went to visit and returned again & again. Everything you need or want for home, RV or golf. The prices are very reasonable.

By jadehawk |

lots of things to look at and purchase. Most prices are reasonable. I've been going there for years and nothing seem to change very much. The same people selling the same goods, but fun nevertheless to stroll around the many stores.

By Nirisca |

A lady I met recommended me to go there. It’s not a place for me. I wouldn’t go back or recommend anyone to go there.

By gprocyshen |

We like to go early in the morning making it easy to walk thru the aisles. The market is a fun place to spend several hours looking at the unique things. Every season they have different things, admission is free and the parking lot is huge, no problem parking. Everyone we take always fines something.

By Betty193r |

So many things to see and do...band, food, vendors ...you can spend many hours here if you want. But, the locals know, many vendors repeat through out.

By Rose O |

You can do all of your Christmas shopping here with no Hassel...great parking, nice breakfast. And the entertainment is,wonderful. You can enjoy an afternoon without spending a dime. Watch for the $2 breakfast in the paper. A,grear place to take out if town company.

By boater87 |

You don't know what you need until you are there. Then you find out there are dozens of gadgets, food and other consumables you cannot live without. Honestly it was more re of a treasure hunt, never knowing what the next booth would have available. A very enjoyable few hours.

By Birding100 |

Huge market. Crazy long traffic lines to get in and out of the parking lot. Best to park down by Bldg. A, since it’s easier to exit the one way exit. Building A was the best personal shopping. If you live in the area there are a lot of home improvement stops, yard art and home equipment which is to large for out of towners to ship home. Some places to sit if you get tired of walking. Snacks, fast food and drinks available. A lot of the same merchandise in multiple shops. Interesting if your looking for a souvenir.

By Colleen1978 |

A Must Do Once! We spent several hours, walked the entire Market, bought a few things. We enjoyed the day but will be a while before doing that again.

By rotoruacindy |

this is the 3rd time I been here, amazing place, friendly people. great parking ,clean and tidy, lots of things to look at , cheap food , especially breakfast.

By joanaallen |

Fun to walk around and look at the booths. They have things you will see anywhere else. For instance I bought bamboo toast tongs! Can’t find those everywhere. You can also drink beer as you shop.

By Jim N |

Thousands of selections. New stuff - not used. Large variety. Pleasant vkerjs and customers. Went back twice.

By Victorias |

Great way to get your steps. Unique gifts. Open aired buildings. Youngest there if you’re in your 50’s! Stimulating experience!

By Sandra M |

Wow! It's huge and it's all covered! It was filled with all kinds of merchandise to look at, feel, and purchase. There are places for people to sit and have a refreshment at several spots as you are shopping. It would be a great discovery for anyone that likes to bargain hunt!!

By Gina R |

Don’t miss the marketplace during a visit to Mesa Az. Market has things u can’t find in other stores.

By Arizonakett |

We have been going here for 15 years already and keep going back over and over again. They have some great bargains on clothes, purses, food, home and yard decorations, etc., they even have food for sale, breakfast served till 10:30 am and lunch after that. Sit and enjoy the free live entertainment in the center court. You can buy just about anything there plus it is great exercise you have 4 aisles that are about the length of a football field or perhaps larger.

By Dee O |

This place has miles of sales space but its like the same products row after row. Prices are not swap meet like. Very expensive. Not what swap meets uses to be. Its like the tophatter and wish app threw up in every booth.

By paws0810 |

Totally enjoyed our first visit here. Will purchase some fun stuff next week. Just checked it out. Very clean for a flea market and good stuff to purchase. A lot of the same stuff. It that’s ok

By bad92bird |

My wife and I go out here a couple of times a year...sometimes to buy a specific item, other times just to browse. There are a huge variety of products to view and buy from clothing to sports equipment of all kinds. Some merchandise is unique others are available elsewhere such as local stores and shops. Best times to visit is between October and April when the weather is mild. Parking lot is huge and there is no parking fee.

By Pauline D |

Best place to go browse and buy an unusual gift for someone--or yourself! Fun place to take visitors when they are in town. Just glad it is close so we can go often!!

By Renee T |

It's only October 1st, so most of the Winter visitors aren't here yet, and that made for a great experience with little traffic and no crowds. The prices were great and lots to choose from. Go early on a Sunday - we got there before 9am and it wasn't busy at all until we left about 10am.

By Brian I |

4 aisles each about 1/4 mile long. Could probably be shrunk to two aisles if all the repetition was consolidated. Good way to kill a couple of hours getting tourist items and snowbirding “stuff”. Low end products but enjoyable nonetheless.

By Marguerite S |

Spent a few hours yesterday at the giant Swap Market that has everything. Really good variety of clothing, garden/lawn ornaments, wall art, decorative pottery, etc. Had some really good quality items & a lot of their iron pieces, pottery & furniture was of excellent quality. Prices really varied, but they have something for everyone. You could spend hours walking around the displays & find anything you want or need. People were sure buying which was excellent for all the vendors, have items put away as they sell fast. Not a typical flea market with second hand or cheap items, but more of a higher end open market with actual sales & reasonable prices. Pretty well all the vendors are in covered tent/awnings, so can also enjoy during a rainy day. We loved the variety to choose from & some prices were actually cheaper through different locations. It is a massive market to walk & see it all. Have food & restrooms with some music playing in the food court areas. Would love to take in again while visiting the area. Free parking & free admissions.

By diane167 |

Visited the swap meet on a Sunday. It was pleasantly not over crowded. So many vendors and lots of interesting things to see.
Some are very unique and some are the usual. There are some great bargains to be had.
Washrooms and food are available. And there is lots of parking available. You are under cover 95 per cent of the time so if it rains you will stay dry.
Shop around as prices change from vendor to vendor.
Fun day of shopping

By goldentraveler2015 |

Walking through this interesting outdoor shopping place is an adventure in itself. You can find almost anything you might need from dominoes and other games, to dried fruits and veggies, to artwork, Mexican pottery, t shirts, nice clothing, rugs, furniture, kitchen wares, sheets, jewelry, and crystal nail files just to name a few of the items you can purchase. Walking up and down the 4 rows of merchandise that equal 1/4 mile in each row gives you plenty of exercise. There is live music close to one of the food courts where you can purchase a breakfast for $2,00. This is just one place that you need to visit if you are spending any time in the east valley. You won't be able to resist at least one item to purchase!

By Tom M |

Heard about the Market Place swap meet in Mesa, and thought we would check it out. Very expansive, so be prepared to walk. Lots of everything, from kitchen utensils/supplies to Cactus - live and artwork. Some food - unless you get there early with a coupon, pretty average for the price. Some live music, but not sure of the times. You want socks? Check. Used golf balls? Check. BBQ grill mats? Check. Only issue I had was that there were a LOT of duplications. Couldn't tell if the same owner had multiple stalls. I swear there were ten places selling grill mats. As expected, a lot of junk. But lots of jewelry, crafts, art works, etc. Worth the trip, just to see what you might not need.

By Rusty L |

Visited for half a day and couldn’t complete it. Good vendors and good negotiated prices. Adjacent to excellent traditional shopping stores and awesome eating facilities. Purchased some good quality items and enjoyed the setting.

By Rose L |

We brows there every year and love it. It has miles of shopping and everything you can imagine you need or didnt know you needed you can find there.

By jackie B |

I had fun walking around with my friends :) even though it's a little hot. They have so many things to look at!

By KaeSea |

Summertime is not as busy as winter! They do have misters to help beat the heat! You can find anything here!

By M B |

It's a large area, filled with lots of vendors selling a variety of products. Really you can spend a day wandering around the various isles. We have been going there for years and even if we don't buy anything we have a good time. It's hard to describe what is there because of the variety. You are best going to just to see.

By letsgogetlost |

We don't miss the Market when we visit Mesa. We make sure we visit our favorite vendors and it's always good to see what's new. Great way to spend a few hours.

By Gramsreviews |

I have visited this place several times and was shocked there is a political booth. I find this very distasteful and not an appropriate place for this merchandise. Very disappointed. Not sure I will return.

By BARBARA K |

This used to be a great place to browse and purchase great gift items. The last couple times I have been, it was anything but a good experience. The place has become nothing but a campaign rally for Trump. Vendors at these booths are pushy and rude. Too bad such a great place to spend time and money has become so political. I suggest people stay away!!!!!

By Russ V |

essentially, this location is a large flea market. There are several vendors with stalls that are there on a permanent basis. The location is open Friday Saturday and Sunday of each week. It is possible to buy everything from souvenir items, garden plants, clothing items, leather goods and luggage.there is plenty of parking and the location is easy to find. I would suggest that you allow at least 2 hours. There are food venues present and often live music on the weekends.

By LLB104 |

Wear comfortable shoes and go early in the morning to avoid the heat. It's really a BIG place. Plenty to eat and drink too.

By Bettiann P |

This is one of our favorite places to visit. We see items here we don't see elsewhere. Everything you may want for out door living. Golf carts, patio furniture, clothes, cooking utensils etc. This is the best place to look for yard art. There is a vendor for snacks and beverages.
The last reason we love this place is that we can easily get in more than four 10,000 steps a day!!

By Cajeho |

Oh my gosh! How much fun is it to find a place to go that is free to attend, free parking and free live entertainment. Even is you don't find some incredible bargains from over the hundreds and hundreds of booths you can people watch or sit and enjoy the music with friends. It is weather friendly as well, protected by the elements or too much sun. All ages attend and it is a relaxed atmosphere. Where else can you go and have so much fun!

By Mac S |

A great way to spend a few hours and get some exercise to boot. Bring cash and wear comfortable walking shoes. I suggest you go around the “tents” to park on the backside so that your exit will be easier. It is essentially a one way circle that surrounds all the vendors stalls.

They don’t have everything however as I could not find a white ball cap in a one size fits all stretchy material.

The one dollar coffee was pretty good on a cool morning.

By scoop01 |

What a great way to spend the day. Miles of shops. Beautiful southwest decor to everyday items. Highly recommend. Stick with budget or you’ll buy everything like me! Easy to park and easy to find. Great selection of vendors. Some repeat vendor items but very cool place. Highly enjoyable!

By peglegtraveler |

If you enjoy flea markets this is a good stop for you. A good variety of items in a comfortable setting.

By Brando9g |

There's a very wide variety of things to look at and buy, expect a lot of walking! I didn't get much but it was fun to check out. There's a few cool stalls that sell a variety of rare stones that I liked. Just make sure not to fall trap to fake medicines or healings there. There was a few places that looked science-y that really weren't. Also rocks are cool, but they're just rocks, sorry to say they won't heal you

I also recommend going earlier in the day before it gets crowded

By Andrea S |

This is a great place to spend the afternoon. So much to see!!
But Buyer Beware!!! We bought a welcome sign with a signature on the back. We thought this was the artist signature and that meant it was hand painted. The seller did not correct us. We discovered 3 months later it is just a sticker (sticker started to peel off) that was covered in varnish. We were visiting the area so can't return it.
I also purchased a metal hummingbird and flower which was perfect.

By Alex R |

So my wife and I have heard a lot about this place, so we decided to finally go. To our surprise it was so worth it! $3 beers and all the nickknacks you can think of! Found many gems and will be going back again!

By Benita T |

Start your day with the two dollar breakfast. Coupons are readily available.

Then browse with your friends among 100s o vendors offering 0utdoor and indoor decor, food, furniture, tools, games, candles, silk flowers, kitchen gadgets and a multitude of other items. Always clean
but crowded especially during the winter months.

Take a break and listen to live music and enjoy a cold drink or snack. Catch up with friends.

A must stop for visitors. We always bring out of town guests there and they always love the experience.

It is like a mini bazaar in the midst of the desert. Palm trees, but no camels.

Only open on the weekend, so plan accordingly. Come, shop, eat, and sit awhile. You'll be glad you did.11

The mesa market place swap meet is a great way to spend the afternoon. There are many cool items for sale - things we didn't even know we needed. Fun to people watch here. We spent a couple of hours and at the end, everything started looking the same. Cool place to check out. Heads up - during the winter they are only open Friday to Sunday.

By Kelli H |

Wear your most comfortable shoes and bring cash! This is a great way to spend the day shopping for trinkets and souveniers. There is a lady with a small site selling her hand made pottery and its amazing.! HINT.... dont get sucked into thinking you have to park at the start of the market. Go ALL the way around the building to park. Food and beverages are reasonably priced.

By Caltrac15 |

Mesa swap meet is great fun to walk through. Lots of vendors and a good variety of merchandise. Shop around though, many carry similar items and all are not priced the same. They have food, beverages and entertainment. Great people watching as well. Go early morning or early afternoon, mid morning can get really busy. Enjoy

By tonip961 |

Great shopping, semi outdoors under tents, so many different types of people and items to peruse and purchase. Plenty of food stops where you can refuel and get a beer. Love this place!

By 85042 |

During the tourist season, this swap meet is in full swing. House decorations, yard and patio decorations, hot tubs, clothing, accessories, car accessories, pet supplies, watch batteries, Arizona “stuff”, sports equipment, bags, suitcases, tools...... the list is endless. Slows down during the summer months but is still open with many vendors.

By vannus2017 |

there are so many stalls with lots of items. Owners are friendly and prices are reasonable for most items

By Linda Q |

This place is HUGE! I was surprised that in spite of it being the weekend, there was ample parking. If you're up for a long walk and you love to shop, this is your place. There was a nice, cool breeze that made the temperature great! Vendors sell a variety of items. There is something for everyone including clothing, shoes, decorative items for your yard or home, jewelry, and gadgets galore . There are so many ideas for special occasion gift giving. My son enjoyed a great snack of nachos. The live music in the food area was also enjoyable.

By petcherKenosha |

Always go there when we are here.Find really nice and different things to buy. You need to have good shoes as there are four asile to see to shop in.they have live music and food even beer.

By Trevor P |

So many stalls! Although there were many empty ones, there was a lot of selection for items. It seemed that if you couldn't find it here, you didn't need it. It really reminded me of the markets in Asia as well, but with some variety to cater to the local clientele. Definitely something for everyone here.

By Martyandrews |

The Mesa market has everything food live music art furniture plants clothes tools kitchen stuff it’s big it’s fun and they have a little bit of everything

By Leslie J |

We had a great time at the Mesa Mart-- helps to have a bit of idea of what you might want to shop for... whatever it is, Mesa Mart has it. This is a monster market and you may just want to do an aisle or two. Bring water, pace yourself, set a budget, LOL. Some vendors will negotiate, doesn't hurt to ask.

By TJboard56 |

We got hooked on Mesa Market the first time our friends who winter in Mesa took us there. It’s only open Friday-Sunday. Lots of parking. There’s something for everyone. I’ve gotten Arizona souvenir shirts, dream catchers, food/spices, purses, pillows, moccasins, reading and sun glasses, cowboy hats, Indian pottery (I’ve got quite a collection now), screen protectors for our phones including having it put on, gorgeous jewelry and the list goes on. I don’t love shopping but I love shopping at Mesa Market

By litkehaus |

Had a great time on a rainy Saturday. Easy in and out. Lots of parking. Vendors will mostly negotiate on prices.

By Steviemb |

This place goes on and on; you need to visit multiple times to cover it all. Everything you expect at a swap meet is here, and many times over. The variety of merchandise is impressive, and good quality. Wish we’d had a map; there’s so much to see. There were surprisingly few restrooms.

By tom g |

Not the best we've been to but the first in the Southwest. According to my measure there is 1.5 miles of aisle with stuff on both sides of the aisle. Cloths, hats, statuary, cacti, household things and western knick knacks and art.
Prices were not great with little willingness to bargain. Many of the booths have the same item.
All this said its still worth the trip.

By lrchisholm |

If you're looking for a way to spend your day and see everything you can buy in one place
--THIS IS YOUR SPOT-- You can pick up the local AZ salsa, art, deco AND some items you'd even find at a shopping mall...sandals anyone??

I can't say prices are a steal because I simply don't know; but what I CAN tell you is that I discovered some amazing local brands (olive oil, salsa, balsamic) I wouldn't have found otherwise.

I'm looking forward to coming again when it's cooler temps, I came at the beginning of August and it was simply HOT and a lot of vendors aren't set up during this time of year.

There were definitely a few things I got for my home that I love.

Be prepared to spend ALL day here && Take an extra shirt for when you're done...it's HOT in those walk ways and you'll have had a sweaty day and will want a clean dry shirt to ride home in.

By Sabrina H |

Lots of things brought in from Mexico so there’s a ton of souvenirs to bring back.
Great place for home and yard decor too.

By Sandy C |

We are from out of town and this was our first visit. We went on a Sunday morning and it got crowded fast. Found some great buys!

By Sheryl C |

Went looking for outdoor wall hangings. We actually found a great looking kokopelli ornament at a reasonable price. Our winter visitors always make a trip here each year when they visit us it's almost a tradition LOL!

By kjkmk |

This was a fun way to spend afternoon. Bring your good shoes you will walk miles and miles. Most of the vendors were very nice.

By Rose M |

We make regular monthly visits through the winter months to this place because 1. It is too big to go through in one visit and 2. The variety of “stuff” is amazing. You can find pretty much anything you might be looking for, from food, to furniture, jewelry, toys, plants and more. Prices range from reasonable to ridiculous. Most vendors accept credit/debit cards as well as cash and some will dicker. Not terribly kid friendly and no pets allowed.

By Terri H |

One of the largest markets I've seen in the US...some (most) REALLY cool stuff, and then there are some of those items that you scratch your head and say "huh?" LOL Great to meander, get inspired, and grab some food. Would recommend.

By LAEricson |

No doubt about it. This place is huge, but finding a "treasure" is like finding a needle in a haystack. There are a lot of repeat stalls and products and there really are not many deals to be had. IMO, you should either plan to give it a quick walk through for the experience or plan to spend the entire day hunting if you want a bargain. There is plenty of parking and multiple entrances, so don't forget to note where you parked and which entrance you came through.

By Karen C |

This market is incredible! It has everything you could ever want. All kinds of treasures can be found. The food court and live entertainment is a great place to sit down and have a little rest.

By Teresa98685 |

So many treasures to be found! Jewelry, home goods, yard art and more. This is a great place to people watch and find a bargain or 2.

By GastroEclectico |

This is one of the Valley of the Sun’s best kept secrets! Be ready for some walking – take really, really comfortable shoes, and water to hydrate! You are sure to find both useful and not so useful things here. Over the years we’ve encountered voluminous products that are fun to look at and admire, and many great things like knife sharpeners, cactus plants, outdoor furnishings, fountains, crafty art, plain junk and just basic miscellaneous items. The Mesa Market Place Swap Meet is more than a swap meet… you’ll experience live events such as music acts, product demonstrations, kiddie shows and many other entertainment events! Plus, you can’t go hungry as they offer typical fair like eats – breakfast, lunch or snacks, including sodas, dogs and such junk yet tasty fare. Oh, by the way, its handicap and pet friendly! Although not all deals are economical, what’s for sure is that you’ll see hard not to find items galore. From artisanals, jewelry and crafts, children’s, men and women’s clothing, shoes, all around home items, décor, kitchenware, art, hardware, tools, you name, they got it. The place is out right fun. You’ll certainly be able to spend the whole day if not at least half the day as a family outing.

By Kathy M |

Spent the entire day the the swap meet. There is so much to look at. I made several purchases. My favorite booth was filled with great quality silver jewelry. The booths were clean and organized. We did try to go back after completing all the booths to locate an item we wish we would have purchased but we couldn't find it so my suggestion is if you want something buy it when you see it. We had a lot of fun. Even had lunch there.

By Paul O |

We visited on Friday afternoon after the Snowbirds had fled North. Any kind of knock-knack you could ask for is available. There is lots of walking but everyone is friendly and there are a couple places to get drinks or food. We found a couple things we hadn't been able to find elsewhere.

By ReginaRoamer |

Lots of cool and unique items but also a lot of mass produced duplicate items. Also has a live stage with good music

By Lou O |

This place is huge with a wide variety of goods. There are hundreds of booths under four massive tents on a concrete slab, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Also, be aware that there is no climate control and so the temperature inside will be similar to the outside temperature. We found it even cooler inside during our December visit as the tents shielded the booths from the warmth of the sun. You can find most anything here from the common to the exotic. There is some overlap in things available at different booths although very little differences in price. A few vendors seemed willing to negotiate but I suspect most will not. Prices on most things that were of interest to us seemed pretty reasonable and so we did not escape with empty hands. There are several food stands throughout with similar hast food type fare. They also provide free live entertainment at the primary food location, which we found enjoyable. It's a fun place to shop and worth a couple hours of your time.

By CarribeanPrincess05 |

A must see for tourists especially in the snowbird season
Aisles upon aisles of everything you could think of souvenirs jewellry southwest arts clothing Mexican imports etc

By DanceMom2003 |

It's a neat place to get souvenirs.
Admission and parking is free. It's a bunch of little shops under a roof. Some prices are too high.

By Kirk Finch |

you want it? This swapmeet probably has it inside. It has a massive parking lot with people guiding you to a parking spot. I went to browse and ended up buying several items.

This is a very interesting & fun place to have a shopping trip at. When we went it wasn't very busy as all the snowbirds hadn't arrived yet. There are lots of little stores in this large market & a lot of them are repeats. Some items are not marked with prices, so don't be surprised if the shop worker starts at a high price only to drastically decrease once you start to walk away. Most shop owners won't give you a deal unless it's after the holidays so I'm told. Kind of reminds me of the markets in Mexico. There are some stores where you can find some great hard to find items you haven't seen for a while. This market is a fun place to check out on a rainy day or do some gift shopping. They take cash or cards. Food is available & even beer. There is even some music entertainment too. If you are not a big shopper, don't go. When I visit Mesa again, I may come back if the opportunity is there to go shopping as you never know what you might find.

We found quite a few treasures at the Swap! Great prices on most things! Some might be overpriced , but we enjoyed it twice!

I just love going to this place when I am in Mesa--so many things to see --- T-shirts, Avon, Garden ornaments, art--you name it they probably have it. We spent all Friday morning there, and I came home with a purse, shirts, and other little items, due to the fact that we were flying home, I could not purchase some of the items unless I wanted to ship them, which I did not do. But it is fun, prices are reasonable and people are friendly!!

Want to do some walking and satisfy you wife's shopping desires. Then this is the place for you. I've personally seen things for sale here that I didn't even know existed. This place is huge and prepare to do some serious walking. In the summer it can also get a little warm under the tents. They do their best to keep the heat under control but considering it is an open environment the heat will be present. If you are from other States or, Countries you may want to stay well hydrated. Suggest you carry some water with you throughout your visit. Money talks and cash offers can get you a cheaper price depending on the time of day. By saying this way I mean the price can go down as closing time approaches and you are offering cash. We, wife and myself, have been to this Swap Meet several times even though it is some distance from where we live. We have never disappointed. The reason for the four (4) rating is because of the heat within the tents. Ron

They have a little bit of everything and prices ranging from very inexpensive to budget busters. Went early to avoid the heat. Evidently some of the vendors start clearing out in April but still lots to look at.

A must do at least once. You will find many vendors with Arizona type art, clothing and food along with a variety of other goods from kitchen wares to rugs and even golf carts. The market is large but a lot of the products are repeated by numerous vendors. Not all vendors were willing to negotiate on prices as at a lot of swap meets. There is a snack bar and live music to enjoy!
