We stopped here to kill time before we headed to dinner. Very surprised at the length and how clean this park was for being in the middle of a city. We started at Whipple street entrance and ended up walking 4 miles. The trails are wide and well marked. There is a dam causing two waterfalls that really bring you to nature.

Meetups members for a casual walk. Multiple points to enter from. Trees are starting to turn. Talk, Walk or silence

This beautiful location has been diseased by drug using teenagers from the high school. It's so sad to see and it really makes this park dangerous and unwelcoming. These troubling addicted children also trash the falls, making their presence known. Do not take your children here !!

Wonderful hiking or walking trails right off main highway. Perfect for all levels of activity and ages!

By Christine |

Great place to walk, run, etc, dogs kids and adults alike always seem to enjoy it

By Laurie A |

This park offers a multitude of trails in a beautiful setting. You can get in a good workout either on foot or wheels or take a refreshing stroll in the woods or along the water to clear your mind. It’s a fabulous break from the pavement and noise from the city.
The only downfall is the dog walkers who leave unsightly bags of waste on the sides of the trail or in the woods.

Great area for walks, family time excetra. Depending on area fields for soccer, trail for walking. Dog friendly

How can you believe that there is a huge forested park in the middle of New Hampshire's second biggest and busiest town? Well, there is, and it is magnificent! Filled with both wide and short walking trails where people walk, run, bicycle, and bring their dogs. The Nashua River winds throughout, and there are some very scenic, quiet places where you can spread out and have a wonderful picnic. Some waterfalls to see on side paths. You will have a great time here!

This is a great place to walk year round! Beautiful trails that you can make a short leisurely stroll or extend and go into downtown Nashua.

By Debora Z |

Whether cross country skiing in the winter or walking in the summer, this is a little oasis of beauty in the city. I love running around the lake or walking along the canal. Very easily accessible.

By CoachShelby |

Great running and biking trails. A great way to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet time. It's a little sad that the city is building a highway thru parts of it though. They've disturbed much wildlife and we notice we don't see them as much as we used to.

By jedswims |

I've been walking the trails for many years, Mines falls never ceases to amaze me there is so much wildlife, especially early in the Morning, I've come across Deer, Beaver, countless ducks, Just this morning as I was walking across the bridge from Lincoln park, an eagle flew over my head no more than 10 feet above me, I wonder what will cross my path tomorrow..

Recently upgraded bike/walk/blade trail surfaces are yet another improvement to this historic leafy glade in the heart of Nashua. The park boasts a combination of easy dirt, gravel, and paved water trails that criss-cross the old canal over three bridges and hug the river bank. The trails are also functional bike roads, providing cycling or walking access to the heart of downtown Nashua from several points in the suburbs. If you have a dirt bike, there are a couple of short, challenging trails. with hair-raising grades and hard climbs.

At the Stellos Stadium entrance, 2 boat launches provide access to the canal feeder lake and the upper river, beyond a small Hydro dam. Following the Orange trail up a brook feels like you are hiking the deep woods and trees are numbered for identification. Open soccer fields provide a great place for kids to run around and kick a ball. The ox-bow lake close to Nashua's town center is a haven for birds and other wildlife, and observation decks are provided and well-maintained.

The canal and feeder ponds provide coarse fishing, and my kids pulled their first fish out of the water at this park, many years ago.

The trails are dog-friendly and I find that most owners are considerate of fellow trail users, but I do wish that more folks would clean up after their pets. Just throw the dog-dirt into the deep woods, folks - don't leave it on the trail edge.

The park changes character in winter and becomes a haven for X-C skiers (trails are not goomed) and snowshoers.

With many access points and good parking, Mines Falls is a superb asset to Nashua and might only be improved by installing a Kayak/Canoe launch somewhere below the Hydro falls.

I love this park because it is very reminiscent of the Taff River walkway in my home town of Cardiff, which also ran from the 'burbs to the heart of the city.

The park has many trails that follow the old canal and also has a large recreation area for soccer and softball. A walk along the canal was most enjoyable.

By Jenn D |

I have been going here for years and love it. There are lots of trails in NH, but this one is close to home and has lots of trails to choose from.

By jemp1111 |

Great spot any time of year. Gets you away from it all without breaking the bank, filling the tank and no hassles.
Go take a walk for the "health" of it.

By Gene A |

Nice walking trails. Young kids find a lot of animals to see. Great exercise for them. View the falls, the pond, and canal that once powered textile mills in Nashua.

By Mark R |

This is the place in the area to walk, run, bike, hike and be out with nature. With miles of trails and unlimited views of water, trees, birds, fish, turtles and animals you need to spend a few hours a week here. The fields are great for local sports teams as well. The area is well kept after and gives you the feel that you are much further away from the city than you actually are. A must see and enjoy experience and yet another reason that Nashua was voted 3 times as a top 10 place to live.

By Chuck R |

This was my 20th year running in the park. I run weekly in Spring, Summer, and Fall. When I feel lazy I just walk the trails and check out the flowers and animals. From the bridges the fish, turtles including some large snappers are fun to watch. From the overlooks viewing the ducks and other birds is wonderful. But running the trails is the best. I share the trails with walkers, dogs, and bicycles. It often seems crowded, but everyone is polite and we all enjoy ourselves.

By Cindy P |

Lots of room to roam on your bike, on foot or with the kids. Great fishing, nice trails, and all in reach of downtown or the burbs.

By jaime313 |

Nice place to walk and get exercise. The trails by the baseball field are a bit confusing and not very well marked, as is the section close to the mills. Overall a nice place to go and have enjoyed many an afternoon walk.

By Jill D |

Mine Falls Park is a great place for a long walk along tributaries of the Nashua River. There are many trails, some of which are paved, but all of which are marked. This is the kind of place where you'll encounter many of your neighbors out walking their dogs, or kids on bikes. Some trails are shaded by mixed pine and deciduous forest, and other trails hug the banks of the river. Although this park is well-loved by Nashua residents, it's big enough so that it doesn't ever seem crowded. Unfortunately there are no picnic tables or restroom facilities, but at least there is convenient parking in several locations, such as at the end of Coliseum Avenue past the Stop 'N' Shop.

By DazzleyourPalete |

This is a lovely place to walk, run, bike or even play sports. Filled with trails, it is measured in miles. All year fun, a place to enjoy some relaxing time.

By lolavictrola |

Nashua is lucky to have such a lovely place to walk and ride right by downtown. Definitely a great place to enjoy nature!

By SunnyT148 |

This is a nice trail to walk around, there are a lot of people that come here. You can take your dog here but your dog must be leashed. I heard from numerous people that told me that there is a person that calls the cops and animal control if your dog is off leash there. We didn't know this and when we took our dog some other dog owners let us know. It's a shame that you can't have your dog off leash, because of that we don't come here anymore. It's not a bad place though if you want to walk with people. It's an easy trail, but can get very busy.

By Piper_1961 |

Mine Falls Park ('Wildcat' as it was called back in the '70's) is a little like Nashua's version of NYC's Central Park... It's nice for a long walk through dozens of wooded trails in the woods, alongside the river or reservoir, and across small foot-high grass fields and wooden bridges... Lots of runners, dogs on walks, and kids on mountain bikes. I feel safe when I visit the park, but a couple times I came across a group of teens playing with swords, spears, and engaged in some sort of 'Dungeons and Dragons' thing. I felt weird about it, but they didn't bother me. Sometimes there will be a dog without a leash that runs up to me, but so far no bites... Other than this, I love the nature, beauty, and serenity the park provides and I use it year round...

By maryc9132015 |

I walk in Mine Falls multiple times each week. There are several easy trails, most are wide and paved and accommodate both wheelchairs and strollers. It's a great place to walk, bike or teach your kids to fish. Good for ages from newborn to seniors and dogs!

By annemarieb321 |

Mines Falls Park offers many trails ranging from paved (easy) to hard-packed sand (off-trail, a little more difficult). The trail winds along the canal and basically connects Coliseum Avenue (by the Nashua Mall) to downtown Nashua (by the old mill yard). The trails also branch off to Ledge Street and to Nashua High South. There are also soccer fields, picnic tables, and benches.
Being a Nashua native, I’ve enjoyed these trails for many years for walking, biking, and fishing. I’ve heard many people move to the area and express a concern about being safe on these trails. The trails are patrolled by policemen on bicycles. I’ve never felt unsafe and would often bring my children there. I’ve never been there after dark, however.

Beautiful safe spot to hike, walk, bike and sightsee. Family and dog friendly. Views of lake, bridges, waterfalls, soccer fields and foliage

By wbullseye |

The Mine Falls Park is located in the town of Nashua. It's location provides a respite from the traffic and urban area. There are several different locations to park and trails to take. The trails are easy and anyone should be able to enjoy them. There are several different areas with good views of the water and the surrounding area. There is also a boat ramp for those going out on the water.

If you're looking for someplace to take a stroll, Mine Falls Park is a good choice.

By JFL523 |

Beautiful in the fall! The walking paths along the river are nice and wide and covered by beautiful trees.

By marty344 |

We passed be by the roads so we stopped and looked around the area is a nice place but we would not spend to much time there

By Jane W |

Great for cross country skiing in winter and for a lovely hike any other time of year--and the price is right!

By Graftonthfc |

Nice area for a walk, it was me my wife and our 17 month old. The map says there are a few places that are not suitable for strollers... I can definitely say that there is a lot of the red route coming back from the dam that is really not suitable for strollers! This should be marked on the map as it was a bit of a struggle.

By Sridharhere |

I actually has some work at Nausha and want to spend some of my time here. So visited this place, it was little hard to find. I looked at many sites for GPS address but no where it was clear. so i just searched it by phone and used its directions. This place is well with the city highway and hardly 6 miles from pleseant mall there. Been there for 3 hrs, did a good run of 6.2 km and i guess there are other trials also inside if you go which i cant rate. its just a river across which they maintained trial well for runners or walks. Dogs are allowed here. Good for run , but not a attraction to visit. if you are in city or out of city like me with some work there and want to spend some time , then good for it.

By 0705katherinel |

My husband and I just visited here the other day, as we live nearby and were looking for new places to walk. What we liked is there is plenty of parking and access points. Also another great highlight is that there are multiple paths to take depending on her w much you want to do. We stuck to the yellow path end to end, as there was a marathon the day we went on the other path and didn't want to get in their way. The path was paved and well taken care of, there was no trash that I could see, which was nice. We will definitely be back to try out all the other paths, great find!!

By Ed |

Wow i think this is the best place in nashua to run and walk. Really good trials. Always clean. I think it needs more signs. Summer time you can bring the whole family. Nice views. Easy acess

By polaraubie |

I visit family in Nashua frequently, but only recently discovered this place for my daily walks. The trails are diverse and go for long and short distances. It feels very safe and offers paved, packed soil, and rough root-strewn options for those who seek natural, rugged trails. The peace of nature, don't pass up this opportunity.

By Christopher M |

Great spot for a relaxing walk or just to relax after a long day of business! Very handy to the highway, yet peaceful and serene!

By Samela |

We have walked this park a lot and never tire of it. There are different ways of doing it, so it stays fresh how ever many times you go.

By 603gracie |

even though one of the entrances for this park is past the turn in for Hannafords, it is a great place to walk, run or bike....one trail goes along the Nashua River for awhile.

I spotted a few rental bikes there, courtesy of City of Nashau

By Tim C |

I have been walking the trails here for years. Very well maintained and never too crowded. It is huge with 325 acres of forest and trails. It is nice because there are a lot of small trails off of the main trails. You can walk down these trails and have a picnic or just sit down on a log or pine grove and listen to the water and the birds. For couples it can be a very romantic spot. When I have friends from out of town, I always take them to Mine Falls and they always love it! It's a great place for families, friends, couples or just a nice walk alone to clear your head. Great Sunset views from -1886 Gatehouse-Hydro Dam! That is my insiders tip!

Mine Falls Park is one of the best reasons to live in Nashua. Over nine miles of trails for walking, running, cycling, kayaking, bird watching and more with multiple access points from various neighborhoods. Historic as well as natural attractions. Most trails are flat, some are paved. Please be courteous to other trail users by keeping your dog on leash (required by law) and by being alert for other trail users, especially if you are wearing earbuds.

By GeoffNH |

The park is a gem within the City and very accessible along the Nashua River and Canal. with well marked and maintained trails, vistas and some new boardwalk type trials for disabled folks to use.

By Lorihu |

Safe and clean with many walking trails. Crosses the middle of Nashua with about five miles of trails.

By Jeff_LFOD |

Went for a run through the park today. We've had some winds and rain in the last month and the city has done a great job cleaning up the trails.

There are many miles of trails for walking, running, biking with a mix of heavily traveled trails as well as some out of the way trails where it is rare to see anyone else.

Trails are a mix of paved, packed microgravel and typical 'back woods' trails.

By Mermaidstimesthree |

The trails within are set up for biking, light hiking, walking, kayaking and running. Come with a friend, a dog or solo and you are sure to find your zen during your time on the trails. There truly is something for everyone in here and you can access it by multiple access points around the city.

By Dunca M |

Great walking trails for people and especially dogs. Lots of wildlife including beaver, blue herons, deer, fox, muskrats, chipmunks, squirrels and lots of fish.

By cobra8884 |

My wife runs nearly every day here and I will occasionally ride my bike. Lots of trails with interesting scenery (woods, river, canal, small animals etc.). We don't have pets, but many people walk their dogs here. Really nice spot!

By Renee H |

Trails are excellent. Clean and family friendly. Great for taking photos! Overall nice area for walks, running, fishing and picnics!

By walkabout1089 |

Friends who live in Nashua took us here and it was very enjoyable. Plenty of well-maintained trails, streams and ponds, big trees and solitude. A real gem!

By Bjbj862 |

Perfect place for a run or a leisurely walk, beautiful scenery walking by the canals.A nice safe place to bring the kids,

By Karenina56 |

there are different areas you can access the park. our favorite is from the YMCA lot. some people hike the entire loop around the canal, over a bridge and back on the opposite side. other people come to fish or just relax.

By NH2CA |

Take a bike ride, walk on the paths, watch a soccer match, walk the dog. Anything you can think of just get out and go>

By LauraSpell8259 |

Great park to go and walk the trails. There are a few different trails and they go along a very pretty route with trees and small waterfalls. In the fall, it is really nice to walk there to see all the pretty fall colors.

By Packers4me |

Great well marked trails with beautiful scenery and nature. Portions of frozen stream was snow shoved for ice skating. Well done Nashua

By Eggroll A |

Mine Falls is a multiuse area for everyone to enjoy. One of the last nature corridors it spans 3 miles between the Nashua River and an old canal system. There are many trails and paths throughout.
I walked my dog every day here. When he was younger we would do the six mike loop.
At the end we would take the shorter loop. We shared the trails with families, joggers and bicycles.
I still wander our trails now alone, remembering all the fun we had meeting the other dogs and their owners.
In the fall the colors are amazing and winter brings out snow shoers and cross country skiers.

By Melpleach |

I was actually in Boston but wanted to find snow, and Nashua had it on the radar! Was glad to find somewhere easy to access and give enough space to comfortably walk around and take in the snowy weather and scenery.

By Denise C |

Mines Falls is a well maintained trail system great for walking, running, biking and Geocaching (if you don't know what this is go to Geocaching.com). They have both paved and well traveled paths that take you along the river. It even has a boat launch for canoes, kayaks and small boats. This is a great asset to Nashua and if you have not been there yet, what are you waiting for? Go for a nice stroll. Take your dog, but don't forget to take your baggie :-). This is a great place for anyone interested in a great place to enjoy the tranquility of the woods and river. Don't forget to check out the waterfall!

By deniselamb |

I love this place and visit here as often as I can. You can walk, run and bike here. During the winter you can snowshoe. Dogs on leashes are allowed, you must pick up after them.

By MullyNH |

Great spot to take a nice walk in the woods. The trails are well marked and wind through the woods and along the water. Very relaxing and peaceful.

By Robin v |

A well maintained park containing many different styles of trails- ranging from paved to "rough terrain" as well as fields for soccer, and baseball. This is a terrific place for walkers, joggers, bikers, strollers to take advantage of the numerous trails that wind and wend through the park. Multiple gates make it easy to get in and out of the park with plenty of parking at most gate locations.

Most trails follow the canals and other waterways that highlight this park, so there are plenty of spots to stop and fish at. Don't forget to stop in and visit the hydro station or perhaps just take your boat out at the launch.

By PVitrano |

First thing I'd like to say is if you've never been, DO NOT take a stroller on the red trail. Our first time there we made that very erroneous decision. It looks smooth enough, but that quickly changes. The red trail is amazing for mountain biking though. There are diverse trails to take and it is a wonderful choice for a nice relaxing day with the family.

By RoadTripRoger |

My wife and I walk three miles a day for exercise and we were looking for a place to do it during our road trip to New Hampshire. Mine Falls Park was a great choice, with plenty of trails you can combine for the right distance for you. Also fine for joggers and bicyclists. Some routes are wide (really packed-dirt roads, but no vehicles), some woods trails. There is a PDF map on the City of Nashua website, but a park volunteer we met said it needs updating and he gave us a better one; still, the online map gives you a good idea. We parked at the end of Whipple Street, took the Blue Trail under Route 3 (it then becomes the Red Trail) and followed this woods path (lots of little ups and downs) along the south side of the canal to the gatehouse. Then we came back on the Green Trail along the north side -- pretty much flat all the way, and wide. So that gave us our 3 miles or so. All in all, nice and pleasant park -- with all the trees, it must be a nice respite from the sun in summer.

By Roxanne G |

Good bike ride for all ages. No hills. Good for walking the dog since the paths are wide. Not very woodsy. Would not call this a forest by any means. The city can be heard from all areas of the park. Not a good idea to go walking here alone at night since it's so close to the city some people maybe using it for sleeping.

By Patricia H |

This park has great trails for walking, biking, running and multiple baseball fields. A track is also located around the baseball fields.

By BeachcrazyBoston_MA |

Fabulous for biking and walking. Quiet and peasant

By Ron R |

Stunning place to spend time at. Beautiful river and pond and a lovely trail to have a walk and enjoy this wonderful piece of nature.

By msPrasanna |

Nice isolated park in between busy highway and Nashua city.. Has a nice pathway for biking and walk around trails

By Victoria W |

So close to downtown Nashua, Mine Falls is a little gem in the city! No real view points but great for all seasons, easy flatter trails for all fitness levels and a beautiful snowshoeing spot in the winter! I love coming here for a breath of fresh air!

By Iqbal K |

This park has beautiful nature trails for walking, jogging or biking.
I love this park everytime I go there.

By KevinL41872 |

What a great place for a fun trail run or walk or just some quiet time. I specifically used the area for a summer trail run series and love the place. My kids run there and go back frequently. I have seen people fishing along the river there and many walking dogs. Always feel safe and recommend to all.

By carolsviews |

My backyard abutted the Nashua River and the surrounding Mine Falls Park. My children rode their bikes across the bridge to school and my neighbor and I walked the miles of trails every morning winter, spring, summer, and fall. In the winter we walked down to the damn to see the ice forming on the falls. In the spring we watched for hatching turtles and young beavers. In the summer we rode our bikes on the trails to downtown Nashua to various festivals. In fall the Blue Heron followed us as we watched the Maples turn to gold. Morning walks here in Dunlap, Illinois cannot compare with our adventures in Mine Falls.

By Miranda M |

I live in Nashua and always enjoy visiting Mine Falls. It is very peaceful and if you know the trails, you can enjoy branching off from the main trails. Whether you are visiting or you are a local, you should definitely visit.

By potti_R |

This park is clean and well kept, and has some great trails thru the woods and along the river. It has one entrance right next to the Nashua YMCA and Stellos stadium. So sometimes I combine both these trips. A jog in the trail followed by some swimming in the Y.

By Jonathan T |

Lots of trails to be explored. You never really know who you're going to run into, which adds all that much mystery!

By Jeff_LFOD |

Ran through about 5 miles of trails last week. Nearly all of the leaves are gone. Still a pretty place. Safe place to bring a family. Some locations are secluded and when generally ok, I would not recommend most people walk it alone simply because of that seclusion.

By Bex M |

Lots of different options for paved paths and dirt paths, walking through the woods or along the river. You do have to walk under the highway which is dark and noisy but the rest of the park is nice. Feels pretty safe with lots of joggers and walkers in the nice weather.

By RoarLoudTravel |

Mine Falls is great for walking, running, biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. A regular spot for dog walking and families and soccer games at the fields. I've seen beaver, heron, muskrat, ducks, turtles, pileated woodpeckers, swan, deer and hawk in the park. Some great lookouts and views on some trails. A nice piece of woods in the city.

By Eric B |

Mine Falls Park is a wonderful resource for residents and visitors alike. At the south end, there is a dam and a small electric power generating plant. From there, walkers, runners and cyclists can go north. One shady main trail takes you along the old canal that once diverted water from the Nashua River to power the mills along the river in the downtown area. Another shady main trail takes you along the Nashua River, though it's not so visible from there. In between there are a number of trails very suitable for mountain biking. I have walked and ridden the trail many times. It makes a good alternate route for getting to downtown.

By FoodieNashua |

Mine Falls has been a frequent destination for our family over the years. When our daughter was in middle and high school, this park was our #1 place to run and train for her races. Now, my husband and I still love to walk the park. The trails and walking paths are well maintained and it's lovely to walk along the water. Great option for dogs on leashes.

By Eaterofbirds |

Obnoxious bikers? got you covered!

Hairy, pot-bellied, bald men in spandex shorts hiding behind trees?? got you covered there too!!

Leave the kids at home, and express your 'open carry' rights as you roam along the scenic, murky canals of inner-city Nashua! Factory swill from long gone years still evident, as well as dead sunfish floating to the surface makes this a special day for a summer time walk in the park.

When the sun sets, be sure to have light clothing and your best running sneakers on hand for the sprint to the car!

By CarrieM525 |

My husband went for a run here and enjoyed the trails. No playground but fields. Good for cycling, running, walking, etc. Very peaceful and quiet. A nice oasis in a suburban area.

By mizlgw |

What's not to love about Mine Falls in Nashua, NH? It's got everything!! Walking trails, running trails, bike trails, single-cross trails, picturesque spots to have a picnic, overlooks, a river, wildlife viewing, quiet (or hustle-bustle when you get nearer the highway), etc. It's a great place to come and burn a few calories or just sit and watch people move on by. I love this place and wished I lived closer so I could hike/bike it every day. The trails are well-maintained and I've never had a bad experience here.

By Trcooke |

You don’t have to go far to hike, run or bike these trails. Lots of beautiful nature, quiet and peaceful

By Jason K |

I've lived in Nashua for 35 years, and grew up riding my bike through the trails on this park. A few years ago the city did a great job renovating the park (putting up new signs, clearing and cleaning up trails, etc.)

It is very shady and there are a number trails. It's a great place for morning walks, and bicyclists have a lot of long trails that they can explore (both paved and off-road)

By Tom B |

Love taking our dog here for a nice walk and get our exercise in. We live in Nashua so we dont have to drive far.

By blueskies15-10 |

is a nice park along the Nashua river, use it as a trail running course, the full round is ca. 2 miles, is protected by trees against the sun, dangrerous sections with lots of roots and rocks sticking out of the ground, watching out is essential, fell already twice. IN summer the Nashua striders have a series of races 5 k and 5 miles every monday evening 6.30 p.m., costs 5 $.

By Rob S |

Beautiful place to walk, exercise and get away from the city for a little bit. People ride bikes, jog, fish, kayak, dog walk along pond and canals

By mmmbank |

This park is great for walking, light hiking, and biking. There are miles of trails. Some are paved and some are gravel roads. Ohters are single track trails through the woods. Other trails go around the lake or along the river. There are multipule entrances to enter the park. Once in the park, it is quiet and serene.

By Janice W |

This is a lovely forested park along the river, with nice autumn colour. Very handy for us as it is a few minutes walk from our relatives' home.

By jonquille63 |

Miles of groomed trails, not too crowded, brush cut back so no ticks. Can start/end Downtown with coffee and log an easy 5+ miles. Great views.

By ANN N |

QUIET, scenic place to relax in SOLITUDE; IF THAT'S YOUR CHOICE.OR go w/friends & family if you prefer....parking is only short walk away..Just anotherv oneofNashua's 's hometown places worth enjoying.

By Dani G |

Playing soccer, baseball, fishing or just hiking the trails, this is a great individual and family spot.

By ChrisonVacation2015 |

Great place for a nature walk in the woods along the river. Very safe. Not too crowded depending on when you go. Avoid weekends in the fall if you can.

By NYtraveler110 |

What a pleasant surprise in Nashua! Pulled into parking lot not expecting much. Walked a few steps into another world! Trees, bridge, water, tranquility. Followed one of the many paths on a beautiful day. Found a few other walkers and joggers. Would love to see it with the foliage in the fall!

By Linda R |

Mine Falls is a wonderful woodland park to visit for a walk, jog, bike ride, or dog walk. It is clean, safe and easy to navigate. Take a trip off the main pathways to see turtles, ducks, beaver, deer, an occasional heron, and enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. A refreshing break from life without having to travel far!

By Bowkerfamily |

I love this place you can go there in any season and enjoy the park there is plenty of well established trails to choose from great after a snow storm to hike in your snow shoes

By goldsteinwalsh |

People from this area don't fully understand how lucky they are to have this large, multi purpose green space here.

By MerriMrs |

I embarrassed to say that I lived in the Nashua Area for many years before discovering the wonders of Mine Falls Park. If you love the outdoors MFP is a must.

By KLGB |

Nice place to take a long walk. There are paved and unpaved trails and paths. Some go along the river and some through the woods. Only negative is the lack of rest room facilites.

By Ra201 |

Beautiful park for walking and biking of all kinds but I specially love mountain biking on it’s trails.

By gmboucher |

This area is most relaxing. Walk at your leisure.
Go miles past streams millpond a river old growth forest, all year long.
This sprawling park is a respite from noise, traffic, city life. I've been through these woods for almost 70 years. It is still all here, see for yourself.

By Mikejay68 |

This is great spot given the easy access. Most of the trails are flat and scenic and right in the middle of the city. There were handy bridges, an interesting dam. Some of the trails did have some grades and tight spots, but overall they were managable. Didn't like the power lines running through one area.

By DeeMN421 |

Well groomed walking trails through the woods. Dogs are allowed (you must pick up after them). There are several entrances to the park. Maps are posted near the entrances. Trail map is accessible off the main website below at http://www.nashuanh.gov/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=aGsjhk2X7I4%3d&tabid=344.

A variety of trails, some good fishing, easy parking. You can do a short hike or up to 90 minutes, a lot of options in a well tended park. Walking/running is better than biking as some of the trail is dirt, but still OK for mountain/hybrid cycling

By Max T |

The trails throughout this park are beautiful! It is right by the YMCA so you can park your car there and go for a run. I've seen people kayak on the river through the park. The trail I ran was about 3.5 - 4 miles in one direction, however I'm sure you can take different routes to reach your desired mileage.

By katenscout |

I would come here every day if I could. Been coming here almost every weekend consistently for over one year and there are always new and hidden trails to walk down. You literally can spend hours in this park. My dog's favorite park -- Friendly people, Lots of dogs, runners, XC skiers!! Every day the scenery is different and the park really does evolve with the seasons. Gorgeous pond and river views. Love it!!!

Suggestion: It is hard to find parking using google maps. Park near Conway Arena, Mines Falls Dam, or along Whipple Street for quick entrances to the park.

Mine Falls park is one of the very best things about Nashua. I live very close to it, and walk, run, mountain bike and take my dogs out in it. it is great for all those things, though for mountain bikers looking for highly technical areas, this is not the place. It is very large so there's plenty of room to roam, and home to a variety of flora and fauna, though it does get crowded by running groups late afternoon and early evening.

this is truly one of the best parts of Nashua. Just be sure to 1. carry out what you carry in, and 2) stay to the right, lest you be run over by bikers.

By Vincent M |

Have enjoyed every visit to Mine Falls, a pleasant place to spend an afternoon hiking the many trails and ending up at the lake, river, and falls. Lovely in autumn with all the colors. Very wooded, friendly folks on the trails and lots of rest stops and vistas

By sisojs |

I usually park at near Nashua YMCA and just do short walk with my children. It's quite shaded because of tall trees so when it is hot outside you can feel cooler on the trail. There are many people with dogs :) it's quite flat soft dirt trail so I can easily drive my deluxe stroller. We usually look for fishes in the water and snapping turtles. It's very relaxing even with younger children :) I'm hoping someday would do the whole trails I heard it goes miles and miles.

By Wayne C |

Plenty of soccer going on here when the snow is gone. Also, great bike & jogging trails. Parking is a little issue on soccer days... it's a small hike from the parking lot to the fields. But over 8 fields there to play on. Give it a try if you are looking for a place to start your bike trip or jog.

By Ambassador_Kosh |

Mine Falls has several interconnected trail of differing length, but each is as beautiful as the next. There are man-made lakes, streams and waterfalls, all nestled in an the middle of an otherwise very busy area; however, walking the trails it's easy to forget how near civilization really is (an elevated Route 3 runs right through the place, but you wouldn't notice unless you're walking under it). There are several entrances with lots of free parking. Some entrances have boat ramps (no noisy motor boats though). There are also ball fields, and rest facilities near them. The trails are mostly flat, easy walks. They are always well groomed and suitable for walking, jogging and biking. It's a very pleasant place to spend a few hours.

By pjmcmullen |

Miles of paved, cinder, and dirt trails. Well marked. Great place to walk the dog. This is not a pristine park like The Boston Garden, but a gem nonetheless. Parking (free) at several entrances. Plenty of variety for return visits.

By Cyndi555 |

One of Nashua's gems in all seasons, but especially like the trails through the woods for cross country skiing. Only wish those walking their dogs would make an effort to have them do their "business" off the main trails. There is room for all of us - walkers, dogs, snow shores, and skiers - but consideration for others is required.

By Catherine M |

I love the trails here, come at le 4 days/evenings a week with my husband. A lot of people bike, run, or walk these trails yet never overcrowded or unpleasant. The views of the canal/river while walking helps to go further.

By Paul G |

Mine Falls has great biking trails for all experience levels. Great scenic trails along the Nashua River, including dams, canals, historic waterways and mills.

By memorylane702 |

This magical space is a lovely gem well worth seeing and exploring. Amazing bike trails, hiking trails, waterways and places that are perfect to relax and get in touch with nature. Spend a day--you will want to go back again and again,

By fablesmom |

For anyone who likes to take walks along river banks, I would go here. It's quiet and not too strenuous so that even childreen would have fun.

By Snowbettyxxoo |

While living in Nashua, this was my fav go-to park for running. I could easily do a 2.5 mile loop by parking at the Simon/Whipple parking area (exit 5A for Simon off the Everett Parkway if you're headed North) and heading right over the footbridge to the millyards and back. I could extend it by then heading left over the footbridge to the dam for another loop. It's flat, wide enough to pass the walkers, scenic and shaded in quite a few areas. There's water (not for drinking -- just for enjoying the sights) and I've seen a blue heron, swans, turtles, ducks, geese, and muskrats.
I always feel safe in the park as there most always are people around without being too terribly crowded.

Note also that the millyards end of the park is right in the downtown area and main street is easily accessible from this point.

If you go, just beware of tree roots on the path so you don't do a face plant (from experience) and could you please stay to the right so others can easily pass? Many thanks.

By dmslatts |

Several trails that are great for walking, hiking, biking etc. you can also launch a boat or canoe and take a trip on the river or go fishing. Great for all ages and all levels of ability. Well taken care of trails. Lots of joggers enjoy this park.

By Gabriel M |

It is a beautiful place for a run or walk specially during fall. You can enjoy the leaves falling and the colors, while running/walking next to the canal or the river.

By Tim_Fe |

Especially for young people who can't drive, it is a good way to safely get around in Nashua, with it's expansive network of trails. It is a nice place to relax or have some adventures.

By Jim Van Zandt |

Mine Falls Park has two primary entrances - one on the east side of Route three, at the end of Whipple St., and the other on the west side of Route three, at the end of Coliseum Ave. You can also get there from the Nashua High School South parking lot. Starting from the Coliseum Ave. entrance, there's a bridge across the Nashua River, a short paved walk, and a second bridge across the canal, to the High School entrance. From that point, there's another paved walk along the east or south side of the canal, under Route 3, past the Whipple St. entrance, clear into the center of Nashua. There are also bridges across the canal at the Whipple St. entrance and another mile east, and many unpaved walks. As long as you're between the canal and the Nashua River, it's hard to get lost. It's almost all heavily wooded, except for the ball fields on the east side of Route 3. There are several loops of a mile or two. A great place for a quiet walk.

By nst22 |

We spent the day riding our bikes in the park along the numerous colored trails, and then some. We have hybrid bikes which enabled us to use both the paved and the unpaved paths. Most were easy rides, some more suitable to mountain bikes, like the orange trail. It is a lovely park in the woods, along ponds and canals, and well kept. There are numerous entrances to the park, but we found the easiest parking to be just off 101, behind the Nashua Mall. Take the road passed Hannafords to the end. Only negatives were the infrequent portal toilets and lack of benches, but it was a lovely oasis in Nashua.

By ellenmuckstadt |

Mine Falls never fails to be a great place to walk. Even when it is summer hot and humid, it is pleasant. The tree lined trails provide shelter from the blazing sun and possible shower. The trails are mostly flat but you can find slightly challenging ones as well. Dogs should be leashed and off road bicyclists should watch for walkers.

By Elizabeth C |

Beautiful during fall, great for bike riding, kayaking, running, family time, boat, nice hidden gem, get creative wedding, functions, 5k runs, picnics, explore woods.

By Joe H |

My favorite place for a excellent walk, the park runs east west on the south side of the Nashua River and includes the historic canal built in the early 1800's that supplied water to the Millyard. Plenty of quiet wooded paths with seven entry points, three foot bridges across the canal, and one across the river near park center. Mine Falls, a small hydroelectric dam, the mill pond, the canal gate house, and boat launches are at the west end. The Cove, an oxbow lake is at the east end and is home to a pair of swans. This park is a treasure of nature within the city of Nashua.

By NHjo |

This is a beautiful park, with several walking and jogging trails along the river and canal and in the woods. There's a viewpoint of the falls and lots of little brooks. I used to walk my dog here all the time -- it was his favorite place! It's relatively safe, but it's good to be aware at all times. (A fellow walker once saw a bear).

By Merschief |

Mine falls are many trails used for walking, hiking , exercising..
It has numerous entrances, exits and trails are labeled/color coded to
enable walkers and joggers to be able to exit in the vicinity of where they
began their entrance or to exit in an area that is convenient for them when they
have completed their journey...

By John P |

A nice respite, huge beautiful place to walk, run, relax, and enjoy in Nasua, NH. We often walk our dogs and are able to Tae different routes. Also use able in all seasons, and a great place to snow shoe or x country ski in winter. Both paved and u paved paths and trails. Also good for bicycles. Either road, hybrid, or mountain via different type of pats trails.

By EverythingNE |

I went here a lot as a kid, really nice park!! Nice bike and running trails, not a lot of roots to worry about and some trails are paved! I went here this past summer for their running series! They have a 5k and a 5 mile race. They had it on Monday nights June-August! This place is also dog friendly too, I take my dog here a lot also! There is also a few waterfalls within the park which is cool!

By Donald R |

We went to Mine Falls Park in search of geocaching. We were not disappointed. It was very hot the day we were there, but there are nice shaded trails, bridges over water containing fish and turtles.

By WorldTravelOne |

This park is great for a close to the city center walk/hike in a peaceful environment. Also loved Mine Falls Dam, the look and sound of it.

By Elizabeth I |

Stroll along the canal or walk on a dirt pathway thru the woods..mines falls is a beautiful place to explore in Nashua. With quite a few entrances, its relatively easy to park and hosts miles of trails. For added adventure, walk from one end to the other with a stop thru downtown Nashua for coffee or lunch. Many 5k races are held here and there are also a few geocaches hidden for treasure seekers.

By Lilupa |

This is a breath taking piece of land hidden amidst the hustle and bustle of Nashua town/suburbs. It has a collection of trails for Hiking/Walking/running, Mountain Biking and a canal where people Kayak and Fish. I’m amazed at the number of activities one can on in such a small place.

By Paul M |

Nice place to bike ride. Plenty of trails. A lot of shade from all the trees so it wasn't too hot. Also, nice that you don't have to worry about cars.

By queenPepperellMass |

This walk way is terrific. Lots of different trails, some paved and others just rough ground. Good walk for young and old. Biking is great on paths also. Also used for walking dogs. This is just a peaceful walkway highly recommend. Winter is cross-country trail time also. Small pond for fishing and looking for turtles etc.

Beautiful area for walking bike riding dog walking near the Nashua River
Lovely hideaway within the city of Nashua

By litraveler2015 |

Five of us and a dog spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon walking here. The trails are lovely and well maintained. A big thumbs up to the city of Nashua for creating and preserving this wonderful asset. Pleased to see that all the dog people obeyed the leash law. I did love the sign reminding people to clean up after their dogs.

By Kathleen L |

This is a spectacularly beautiful park with easy walking trails. Obviously as with anything by the water you will face some voracious mosquitoes but if you keep moving fast enough they're not that big a bother.

By grandma1951138 |

Fun places to take the family for a fun hike and great outside fun. so hurry on down to Nashua NH. Put on your sneakers and go for a walk or hike.

By Margaret B |

Went walking here with friends. The trails are well marked. You can be in a wooded area or near different water feature. You can see turtles or swans. There are many access points. We went in near UPS. Have also hiked alone going in near the Y. It is a true piece of serenity in a city.

By Chris R |

Did a great scenic walk along the water. Very pretty, with varied scenery and nice paved & hard packed trails. We did about 3 miles of easy walking. There are ~7 miles of trails total with views of stream, river and estuary. Also has ball fields and lots of room for family recreation. Overall, a very nice park.

By ses-merrimack |

Lovely place to bike, bring dogs (on leash only), have a picnic or just wander around. The trails along the water are especially enticing.

By DLukas |

I'm here so much that I should probably do a review. Great trails conveniently located off of downtown (other entrances with tons of parking as well) Many trails well paved as well as trails through the woods. Suitable for bikes and dogs as well. High platforms to view wetlands everyone should check out

By Sue L |

This is a beautiful well maintained city park. We walk our dog there several times a week. Our children learned to ride mountain bikes there.

By meggiet |

We frequent this park for its beauty year round-its truly a gem in the city of Nashua! Lots of great trails-can kayak and watch the waterfalls.A good level path for biking as well...

By BonnieNimmo |

My daughter & I walked through this park and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The park was very quiet and peaceful with lots of huge shade trees and a wonderful walking path. A nice place to slow down your pace!

By PugwashNH |

A great park for a hike or bike ride. The park is just off Rt 3 and boarders the Nashua river and canal. There are multiple trails of various lengths. The terrain is mostly flat so provides options for folks of any fitness level. The trails are not paved and there are limited facilities here. Nevertheless a great place for an afternoon stroll or energetic bike ride.

By Kerri M |

Great place in Nashua to enjoy nature, run, walk, bike, take the dog, etc. It's beautiful and very peaceful. Nice trails. A hidden gem in a busy city! Love it here!

By hardworkingmommy |

come here regularly. no real playground for kids. more of a walking, biking park. good trails for mountain biking or running.

By H. Scott M |

Pretty place to talk a family walk. Well maintained paths lots of water for scenery. Lot of locals use this as a place for their daily walk and it is easy to see why. See photos on google.

By Rainy64 |

Great little park. Easy to get to and plenty of parking at Lincoln Entrance. Only wish I found it earlier in the week. Better to run on trails than on a treadmill in a hotel fitness center. check it out, very relaxing.

By NHMom67 |

My daughter and I went on Sunday for the first time. We explored the park on our bikes. Lots of scenic trails. This is a great place for families. There were plenty of people walking, jogging, biking and fishing. I look forward to going back to explore more trails.

Do watch out for the dog owners who don't clean up after their pets. There are even free "doggie bags" at the various entrances to the parks, but some folks are just inconsiderate.

By 25LaFleur25 |

Mine Falls Park is a beautiful park in Nashua! I go to the park for my runs and it is great because it has many small paths leading through the woods or along the river. It is quiet despite its close proximity to the highway. In my opinion the park is perfect for jogging / walking.

By Frito2011 |

We absolutely love this place! It has excellant trails for every level of bike rider. There are benches along the way to sit and enjoy the scenery or read a book. It is very well kept and a great place to bring the kids fishing

By NHchinmom |

Lots of well kept trails for walkers, hikers and bikers. Beautiful walks along the canal. In the summer, the turtles are sunning themselves, and you might see a pair of swans.
Only wish that they had trash cans placed at varying intervals so that people could put their trash and puppy poop bags in the cans instead of along the trail.

By sbr812 |

Well, I was expecting to run a marathon on packed dirt, but found myself running on some rocky surfaces at times with tree roots sticking up a lot. When neither of those were present, I was busy dodging cute chipmunks. However, with an abundance of paths and views, I would recommend this park and it was obvious the locals enjoy its beauty!

By ARF-GF |

I visited Mine Falls Park looking to do a brisk 3-mile walk on a recent summer morning. The walking trails exceeded my expectations: Well maintained, smooth surfaces, nice vistas, helpful maps and interesting routes.

By Missing-Pieces_com |

Great for walking, easy biking, a bit of climbing and mountain biking. Lots of entrances all over Nashua, exit 5, 6, downtown, west and east of the highway.

By KBTM |

Usually walk Mine Falls in the fall. Nice paths. Good for bikers too. Suggest following paved sections if possible.

By ellenmuckstadt |

Mine Falls is a great place to walk, run, bike. It is easy enough for those who might have limitations but has plenty of room for those who need to pass quickly! Great anytime of year and is a lot of fun to blaze trails in the snow.

By Carrie N |

Lots of people running, biking and walking. Love to take my kids there. There are many trails off the beaten path as well and places to explore.

By NHtouristphotographe |

Beautiful place for portraits. Marked trails with waterfalls, bridges, rocks, lush ferns and other plants. So many turtles to see!

By debinnh |

Its not just soccer and baseball fields! This is a natural resouce in the heart of Nashua. The Nashua river and canals run through it with trails on each side, so your trip can be different each time. Be sure to stop at the hydroelectric dam and check out the old gate house. In the summer, kayak on the river or ponds.

By rtsb22 |

This is a really nice place to go running or take a walk. There are a lot of trails and most are very manageable for the average person. There are not too many hills. There are a number of bodies of water with ducks that make it interesting. There are plenty of ways to get on the trail and therefore plenty of places to park.

By TheBrad139 |

I have been many times but just now getting around to review. Great groomed trails for the easy riders/walkers and many off the beaten path trails great for Mt. bikes. I have taken my son here a bunch, we always see tons of wildlife and get son great exercise. I would say our favorite trail is the one right along the river. There are numerous entrances to the park and I have never had a issue with parking, so If your looking for a place for a quick walk or an nature activity, I suggest Mine Falls Park!

By travelingmadness |

The paved and unpaved paths make this a great destination for a walk with friends, family, children, or dogs! Our corgi loves the rolling nature of the hills... nothing too hard. My neice and nephews love the sled dogs hitched to rolling carts, being mushed around the park in the off season, and we loved the fact that this park is near enough to a Hannaford's with a custom stir fry option in their food court to make it a health walk and a yummy lunch afterwards. While there isn't much BUT paths at this park, they're well marked and scenic, wandering past canals, the local high school athletic fields, and in the Fall, gorgeous foliage! Whether via sneaker, roller blades, stroller, or wheelchair, this is a family friendly and busy park, but large enough that you're not ever getting the feeling of being crowded. Free parking, free access and so close to "civilization" that you'll start thinking you should get up and go for a walk every morning!

By Spoomax |

As chairman of the Mine Falls Park Advisory Committee I am in the park on a daily basis cleaning up trash and dog poop left by our visitors. We have rules for the park, Only take photos and only leave footprints. Dogs must be on a leash for the safety of all park users. We are a group of volunteers who seek to provide a safe, enjoyable and interesting park experiences while preserving the natural park environment. We have trail days in the warm months in which volunteers can help in park projects and also have a guided tour of the award-winning 1886 Gatehouse. The park is completely safe. Contrary to what some people have written, no assaults have taken place in the park in the past six years. The main parking area at Lincoln Park is patrolled by the Nashua Police Department. There are terrific views of the river and power canal from several vantage points in which one can get lost in his or her thoughts with the sound of water rushing below them. My advice is to pick up a map of the park at several Nashua locations and soon park users will be able to get a map from an App that will be available at the new entrance signs at the five main entrances. Be sure to take advantage of the newly reclaimed Cove trail and get a close-up view of wildlife including swans, ducks, geese and birds of all varieties., The waterfall on the Orange Trail is also a worth a visit as is the Cheyenne Avenue side of the park on the northern side of the Nashua River at the intersection with Inca Drive. There is a right of way to the park and you can get glorious views of the water going over the dam and upriver views of the , Nashua River. A glorious place to enjoy what nature has to offer. Trail dates this year are April 20, May 18, June 15, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19. We meet at 9 a.m. at the Lincoln Park entrance for registration and project assignments. All volunteers receive a Tee-shirt. If you're a visitor, consider helping to keep the park a gem that it is.

By TravellingBs |

This was the highlight of our afternoon as we were looking for a quiet place to take a walk. The trails here are varied-paved, natural, rough-something for everyone. It's a large enough trail system to not get boring quickly, and the location may not have been the easiest to find but once a local tells you the best way to get there it was easy-peasy.
This isn't a park for sure-it's a place among the urban area to break free and walk, run, or bike alone or with family & friends. Nope-no picnic spot unless you make a turn toward the back end of one of the sports fields there.

By Brad Friedlander |

The park provides lots of trails that are easy to hike (i.e., fairly level) with different areas to satisfy your scenic impulses (e.g., along a canal or through a wooded glade). The dogs love the trails. You may want to bring along water for the dogs as well as yourself--especially if it is hot and sunny.

By smujak |

What a boon for the residents of Nashua, NH and all others who care to visit. This well-maintained park contains, canals, river, waterfalls and a series of well-marked trails (color-coded). Here, you can enjoy leisurely walks, bicycling, kyacking, bird watching, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing! The park has a number of entry points located throughout the city and parking is FREE! Such a great natural environment....and you don't have to drive miles away to enjoy the beauty of Nature throughout all 4 seasons. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

By Andi55_13 |

I was in Mine Falls Park for a race. I thought the trails were very nice and wooded. It was very peaceful. I did not see much in the way of amenities, though. Many dog walkers were there, so I guess it's a good place to walk your dog too.

By PhilippeV392 |

We did the Nashua River Trail (from AllTrails) which is a round trip loop of 5 miles. On a Sunday morning you'll see lots of walkers and joggers. The loop shows you all the nice places of this park. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hike, not too far away from Nashua.

By candacep211 |

You can bike, run or walk in Mines falls. There are a few different routes you can take to make your visit short, long or play it by ear. The paths are pretty clear, so they are ideal for any age to go on. On any given day you will see runners, joggers, strollers and kids on the path. There are a few ways to access the trails ...ideal to get the family involved.

By kristilyn1 |

I've run here and biked here and it's beautiful. Trails are well maintained and there are enough options that it takes a while to feel like you've seen it all. Great place to get kids outside as well.

By NHmama23 |

I have been going to Mines Falls since I was a kid. Walking along the river is beautiful. In the warm weather you can always see the turtles sunning on logs, often you can also see fish swimming along in the river. It is a great place to enjoy nature and burn some calories. We also love walking our dog here - keep them on the leash though.

There are no public bathrooms, but it is very close to a shopping plaza. I would also suggest not being in the park alone when it is dark - not a safe idea.

By kris71888 |

I am new to the area and had no idea that this place even existed! I assumed it was a small park that I could walk the dogs. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised to find the park so big! The dogs absolutely loved it. The place is very clean and great for walks, runs and a little bit of everything as there's even a boat launch. You can bring your kayak or canoe and fish as well. Few things to keep in mind. Dogs are to be leashed at ALL times. Please be sure to pick up after your pets. Trails vary from flat to rugged which is a nice change depending on what you want to do. A definite place to check out as it's great for just a walk alone or to bring the kids for the day! Bring a camera too!

By bobp047 |

great walking trails, nice wildlife photo ops. we saw a blue heron.

By DianeB |

A haven just beyond city traffic. Trail map. Portapotty. Doggie bags sometimes available. Dogs on leash only. A large soccer field and baseball field are at the entrance of this place and there is another (2) off a wide trail in the woods. Cross the bridge and you walk into the woods on a paved path, so it is great for strollers, bicycles etc...and you are in the shade. Stay on the main paths before sundown and the mosquitos are minimal to none. There are different trails...paved and packed dirt trails, trails that are narrow and venture deeper in the trees. To the right are trails along the river on both sides: one side packed dirt and the other dirt with big tree roots where hybrid bikes and hiker types venture. To the left, the trail is dirt/paved. The high school is adjacent where there is a track for runners and 2 more fields! You will find a bench to sit in this area but no benches on the other trails because you are truly in nature, alone with your thoughts in this busy yet quiet place. A sanctuary!

By starzz121 |

i have many times walked around Mine Falls park, and used to taek my dog regulary. Great place to walk, jog, bike around i love the friendly atmosphere here too, everyone says hello.

only gripe... the high school uses it for cross country runs so you get HUGE groups of runners going round always feel like i have to bolt out of the way.

By Jason W |

If we have visitors to our fair city, and I want to show them a nice part of Nashua, I end up taking them to Mine Falls Park. Yes, there are some not nice parts of the park, but over all it is a great place for a walk no matter what time of the year. My favorite areas are near Stellos Stadium and Nashua South. I like that it connects to the downtown area and would love to see it more developed as a commuter option.

By Tim D |

One of the greatest features of Nashua is Mines Falls Park. Separating the Southern half of Nashua from the North this beautiful park was build around a hand dug power canal that sent water downtown to the mills back in the 1800s and early 1900s. The park follows the Nashua River and the Nashua Power Canal from the start at the western edge of Nashua and goes all the way downtown. Walking paths, bike paths, soccer fields, baseball fields, Conway Ice Arena, Stellos Stadium, YMCA, Nashua HS South, abundant wildlife are all found either in the park or on one of the paths off the park. Foot bridges, a waterfall, small hydro powerplant and even the original gatehouse are all there.

If you drive up Route 3 (Everett Turnpike) between exit 5 and 6 look left and right and you will see parts of the park. This park is as beautiful and peaceful in the winter as it is cooling and exciting in the summer.

By Carolyn B |

I love this park. It was some very well worn paths (even a few paved paths) that total about 10 miles. It connects the Clocktower Apartments/mills in downtown, to Nashua High South, to Nashua High North (and pretty close to Hannaford's at Chunky's). It's great for running with dogs, running alone, walking around with kids, and beginner mountain biking. There are even some soccer fields. Very well maintained, the people who use it respect it and don't litter. In the summer there is a low key race series (every Monday for 10 weeks you can choose the 5k or 5m distance for $5 per week).

By sassypt |

There are a lot of trails and can see a lot of wildlife in this park. Last Sunday we got to see the swans with their babies, lots of chipmunks, birds to include two blue heron taking flight just to name few. There is also a lot of wildflowers

By stuntwoman47 |

Fun to walk here alone or with friends; lots of choices and places to relax. Turtle sightings common.

By Donna B |

I visit Mine Falls quite often. It's a great place for snow shoeing, running, and dog walking. It has quite a few trails, one of which passes the falls and others that run by the river. There are also some smaller trails where you rarely run into other folks. In the winter you can feed the Canadian Geese, and sometimes see woodland creatures. Nice park.

By PaulinesChoice |

I started going to Mine falls this year after living in Nashua for 7 years. I decided to exercise more and the nice weather was coming. I haven't tried it on winter because we always saw the trails full with snow, but we never went there to make sure.

Mine falls have lots of trails that crossover at some point. Some are paved, some are not, some are close to the river with nice (sometimes bad) views while others goes into the forest, some are wide while others are just a walking path. Some goes on or under bridges. What I discovered is that some of them are not so nice, you just have to find the ones that you'll enjoy.

There are also lots of entrances around the city, the ones I like most so far are at the Mine falls dam, close to the Ymca, go all the way to the end of the Y parking lot and take your right, and the one on exit 6, passing Hannaford/Chunkys driving all the way to the end of the road. Parking lots are available everywhere.

If you are going for the first time, maybe you should go to where I consider to be the main entrance, cause you'll see a welcoming sign and trails map, also it's where some trails crossover, of exit 5A, taking your left on the stop sign, at the very end of Whipple st, passing the UPS center. Parking is on the street and sometimes is full. Make sure to memorize where you came from and to use bug spray. You'll be able to walk for hours using different trails.

Overall Mine Falls is a nice place, you'll see people exercising or just spending some time outside, also people taking a shortcut for work. Families, dogs, people fishing, etc.

By Joseph C |

Mine Falls (Minas Tirith) is one of our go-to places with our dog. Lots of dog walkers, walkers, runners, bikers and all courteous. Different length walks depending on your desire.

Great outdoor experience in Nashua. Beautiful views and so many ecosystems along the way. I've see swans, turtles, fish and other wild life. Thanks Nashua for a great park to walk and run in...it could be a corporate park!!

By mmbcde |

We took a walk along the beautifully groomed trails along the water, and we loved these twisting paths that followed the canals on both sides, and allow for crossing over. Paved and non-paved (but groomed) trails were very easy to walk and enjoy a long stretch of nature in an otherwise busy, cosmopolitan Nashua. We'll definitely be here again!

By Lilla03054 |

Park is very big and pretty but the folks that hang around the park are sketchy! The park is also not clean - has a lot of druggies hanging around. Idk not my kind of place to bring my dog for a walk Nevermind my children.

By Tricia L |

We love to go biking at Mine Falls. It is woodsy and peaceful. It is great in the fall when the foliage is at peak. It is not a tough trail so it is good for casual bikers and families.

By Tom F |

Awesome park and a great place to walk, run or bike. Trails are clean and well maintained. Great views of the canal and other nature in the area. Highly recommend and can't wait to try it this winter.

By Redpoppy108 |

It was an enjoyable walk. We took one of the paths along the water. Just wish there weren't commercial buildings in sight along some of the way. Surface is flat (at least the trail we took) so no climbing. Great for individuals who want to walk a trail with no rocks or hiking.

By Gary K |

If you like to walk, run, ride, there are some awesome trails connected around this part. A few soccer and baseball field too but the network of miles of trails is worthy of a stop.

By guicide |

We've taken several nice walks in the park. In late May we saw a few lady slippers. Easy parking access on three sides.

By Carolyn A |

Mine Falls Park is a delightful place to go walking/hiking. Most of the trails are pretty much protected from the wind, and there is much shade in the heat of summer. There are several entrances. My preference is to enter from Colosseum Avenue and explore the park on the west side of the turnpike. There are paved trails as well as pine needle covered paths, a dam and waterfalls, some along the Nashua River, others along the mill pond.

By Bden99 |

We had driven by this park on numerous occasions but never stopped. We finally made time to come here for a bike ride and were glad we did. We parked by Stellos Stadium and hit the trails, which are a mix of pavement and dirt. Mountain bikes are best for some of the dirt trails which are rocky with roots in some areas. There is plenty of shade which is nice on a summer day. If you are into fishing there is plenty of access at various points on the trail. There is also a boat launch by the Stellos Stadium access.

This is a large park with meandering trails on the edge of the city of Nashua, NH. It has a raging brook through the center along with offshoots of gentle streams and wetlands. The paths are hilly and largely wooded, but there is also a set of level paths that are on either side of the old canal that was dug to power the mills. It’s a lovely, friendly, and quiet place to walk, cross country ski or snowshoe. Love it there.

By Doug H |

A very good park for a nice leisurely walk in the woods or a nice place for a jog. Bike riding also allowed.

By browneyedgail |

My husband and I go to Mine Falls quite often to take a walk. It is a lovely place to walk. There are many walking paths through the woods and along some canals.

By cmk1948 |

Mine Falls Park is a wonderful place to walk, with or without your dog, bike, roller blade or just relax. It has numerous scenic trails which are well kept and easy to walk on. The views of the river and other scenery are very peaceful and relaxing. My five year old granddaughter was fascinated with the trails and woods and thought it quite an adventure. It's a must.

By Archie |

minesfall park what a great place to have. to walk and run, hike and bike. we following the river path and check out the dam. there have been safety issues so plan for that with cell phones and safety in numbers.

By BlackPlace |

A large state park with nice, easy to walk, trails, mostly shady so even on a hot summers day they are walkable. Can bring your own kayak. Scenery is typical state park; didn't come across any particularly scenic vistas.

By RichTBoston_MA |

Lots of trails that run along the river, this is well-maintained, and suitable for walkers, joggers, and bicyclists (if you do bike there, it's cross-bike or mountain bike). There is parking on either side of the park (one at the ballfield behind Hannafords, and one at the Nashua High School South).

By Bill S |

Mine Falls is a great, family-friendly combination of paves and unpaved trails meandering around water. Mountain bikers, this is not the park you're looking for... it's much better suited to joggers, strollers, casual bikers, and more.

If you're a runner, there's lots of variety and enough company that you don't feel isolated while at the same time you don't feel crowded. There are some easy 5k loops too.

If you're a parent with kids the vast majority is flat, though you can find some hills if you want to. There's a lot of good paved trails, so fine for younger bike riders though watch out for branches and uneven sections if inline skates or scooters are involved.

If you're entering from the High School side (Exit 5) there's a good amount of parking by the tennis courts, and a porta-potty or two. However, if you're looking for real bathrooms or need some snacks for the hike, take Exit 6 and there's a Hannaford's grocery store close to the parking from that side. Oh, and there's both a Starbucks (next to the Kohl's) and a Dunkin Donuts (drive through at the gas station on the other opposite side of the highway) in case you require caffeine before or after.

Simple Place To Get Away With Your Dog and Take a Hike! Down side is not all dog owners respect the park. You will find a lot of plastic bags as you walk filled with dog poop. Otherwise beautiful trails.

By Travelfiend2 |

I love visiting Mine falls to exercise, walk my dog, mountain bike, canoe, or just for some peace and quiet in nature. Its the best secret gem that is accessible from a bustling city community.

By NHGHogan |

This 400 acre park is a gem in the middle of the city. Walking, running, biking, cross country skiing; there are even more possibilities. Enjoy it.

By clairep010215 |

No matter the season, the trails are always fun to hike and some of the views are breathtaking! There is very little rise of terrain, so just about anyone can enjoy a stroll in the park. Lots of body of waters, such as brooks, canal and river, make this park a beautiful area to take the family for a stroll or to picnic on beautiful days.

By jandm54 |

A bit hard to find, but worth the effort if you need a place to while away some time on a nice day. Take path along the canal to the river and find a place to sit with a book under the trees. Only complaint - no benches.

By Caiti J |

There are many nice trails to walk, with a lot of entry points. A nice place to walk and experience nature while staying in town.

By James C |

We recently went to Mine Falls Park in Nashua. It has everything you could ask for. You can fish, hike, bike ride or just enjoy a beautiful walk. Even if it's 100 degrees outside it seems cooler along the river with plenty of shade. This is a definite place that the local Nashuans go to for a relaxing walk on a hot summer day. I have since frequented this place since July 2016 was so steamy. You can pack a nice lunch and enjoy.

By geraldo84 |

we go walking in here a lot, the trails are easy or difficult depending on your ability, we prefer to walk by the river on a spring or summer day, it is very relaxing you can also go fishing ,biking , or jogging ,i would highly recommend it

By Travelertraveler1 |

When visiting my grand-kids this is normally one of the places they want to go. Sometimes they bring their bikes to ride. They love walking along the canal, looking for turtles, fish and other animals. They also like going to the dam and watching the water roar by. You can either stay on a more level path or get some exercise up a couple of hills. The park is great anytime of the year. We sometimes come here and walk by ourselves.

By Martha C |

It is a very relaxing place to walk with friends to catch up. BUT.....even though they have SOME signs for trails, (some missing at cross roads) if you download a City of Nashua map, the names of trails are not on the map. It does has colored coded trails and mileage, and there are signs along the trails that are color coded as well. A lot of side trails, so be careful. It can throw you off if not familiar with the area. Thus, it would help if the map would include trail names. Can be confusing. Saw lots of walkers, young and old, joggers, and bikers. Stay to the right so bikers can pass you safely. Have fun!

By Kenneth I |

If you are in the area and would like to enjoy some wooded landscape dotted with trails, canals and the Nashua River, then this is the place to come for a relaxing time. Many local folks use this area as a "getaway" for peaceful time. And yet it is adjacent to the activities which are enjoyed by younger generations as it is near both local high schools. It is an enjoyable retreat and time well spent.

By Scott B |

I walk here often, and always finding new paths to take. Plenty of room and solitude for all. Beautiful area and setting. Walk, bike, take the dog.....highly recommend.

By Robin22 |

Visited Mine Falls Park in Nashua today. Parts of the trail is beautiful. We saw a broad winged hawk perched in a tree, ducks and turtles. Other parts are not as serene because of the traffic noise from the Everett Turnpike. Several spots come very close to athletic fields too. It would be helpful to have printed maps available since we got turned around by all the divergent foot trails and the kiosks were not helpful at all. We had a map from a hiking book but since it was 20 years old, it wasn't accurate. We enjoyed our day but will probably not return.

By Lesliev603 |

My husband and I take our dog to the park and walk the nice clean flat trails. We see joggers, Mom's and Dad's with there young children and older folks all getting there exercise! The river is pretty clean and you can see fishes and sometimes turtles! Mine Falls Park is Nashua's natural gem.

By JackofPBFL |

Mine Falls Park is beautiful. In most of the park, you really feel like you are at one with nature. As long as you stay away from the parts of the park near the turnpike, it is very quiet. There are miles of trails. The Nashua river runs through the park. It is great for walking, jogging and biking as no motor vehicles are allowed on the trails. One can spend a great deal of time there and not walk every trail. It is also good for photography. Each season of the year is special there.

By VistaGirl39 |

Pros: Gentle trails, very good for elderly visitors and kids. The Green Trail loops around for about 3 miles, easy to navigate. Free parking.

Cons: No bathrooms, nearest bathroom is at the Hannaford nearby.

By Realtortim18 |

Right in the center of Nashua is this gem for walking, jogging or biking. Several locations for access and may want to go with a friend

By ANNE J |

Beautiful place to walk . My dogs loved it. We spent a great afternoon here enjoying the early fall foliage.

By R C |

I enjoy walking through the park, looking at the scenery, listening to the birds, watching the fish in the canal, looking at the beautiful foliage in the fall and greeting the other walkers and joggers. Most people are quite friendly. The fresh air and exercise are great.

By robertmY2570DI |

a quiet ares w/some traffic noise in certain places, but a beautiful area in the middle of a city. Many walking and biking trails draw lots of people to the area.

By Andrew S |

The trails here are great and there's lots of them. However, it's not completely safe. My wife's car was broken into and a bunch of stuff was stolen. There are also occasional assaults, including sexual assaults, here.

By Celticmood |

My husband and I needed to visit Nashua for another reason, so we decided to take a walk at Mine Falls Park. It was a beautiful fall day and there was still a lot of color in the trees. We did the loop to the left of the sport fields. It was an easy walk and was mostly well-marked. The bridges were very nice and the waterfall by the dam was impressive and had good flow considering the time of year. We will definitely return to Mine Falls Park again!

By NH Mom |

I love to come here on the weekends and walk the trails. Lots of families and people walking dogs on the paths. Plenty of shade and if you look carefully you may see a beaver or musk rat. Especially beautiful in the fall.

By LocalTourist85 |

Perfect for an afternoon stroll or a more ambitious hike. Lots of shade makes it very comfortable even on a hot day and varying scenery keeps things interesting. Beautiful, well-maintained trails.

By jdms33 |

Great place to visit was very peaceful. Very easy walk on the trails. Lots of wildlife to see. Was not overly crowded but clearly a very popular fishing spot.

By Mark03062 |

These trails from urban Nashua are a quiet break from the buzz of the downtown. Eventually ending up at Mine Falls, it's a refreshing jaunt away from city life.

By Paula H |

There have been to many people at the park and the quality of the Park has gone down. I myself, as a woman, would never go to the Park alone. I personally don't feel safe.

By lyn s |

great walking trails. trails are on fairly level ground so anyone can walk them easily. lots of people around. very safe for anyone. well maintained. great place to fish.

By jfitz1414 |

Take your time and enjoy the outdoors right in the heart iof the city of Nashua! Mine Falls park trails offer an easy and safe hiking experience, very few hills well maintained paths and lots of different things to see. These trails are well populated and easy to navigate, walk from Stellos stadium to downtown and back, take your bike if that is what you are into.

By Mezasu |

I've been coming here for years and I have not seen this entire place yet.
No matter what the season is, this is a beautiful and great place to get exercise, look at nature, fish, or people watch.
There are multiple entrances, and one where you pass a supermarket, so you can grab food and drinks before or after your stroll.
It's dog friendly, kid friendly, young and old friendly.
Walking, running, biking, dog walking...just really nice and quiet and relaxing. You feel like you're in a completely different world at times, even with it being so close to the highway and school.

By Dean H |

Good trails for biking or hiking. It is very easy to get to. Just a couple of minutes off Route 3. Plenty of free parking when soccer tournys are not going on.

By newplacesnewfriends |

Even in the heat of the hot summer days, it's been nice and cool for walking in the park. There are many beautiful trails and the tall trees keep everything cool. We have come across many people jogging, biking, and strolling.

By mlg36 |

Mine Falls Park remains an unparalleled gem in the heart of Nashua. It's an extremely large park, with 4 major areas, divided east/west by US-3, and north/south by the Nashua River.
Dog friendly, kid friendly, walker friendly.

By MtHopper |

Enjoy a stroll or jog of various distances through the park. It's a nice place to unwind after a busy day, or enjoy an early morning visit. Lots of wildlife to enjoy, including Blue Heron, turtles, and maybe even a deer or two.

By Eric B |

Mine Falls is a clean, quiet park with excellent walking trails and scenic views of the river. Parking can be tight at the Simon Street entrance but I never have trouble at the entrance by the YMCA. Many of the walkways are paved, but even the dirt ones are well maintained. Easy to make a nice loop from one end to the other, with paths on both sides of the river.

By André F |

Very nice Park. Scenery is just great. You can easily walk for hours without passing twice at the same place. But unfortunately some people walking with their dogs seem to consider the place like their own et they don't always pick up their dog poo. Need to look where you put your feet if you are going outside the trail. But overall it is generally well maintained.

By Rick B |

My wife & I enjoy walking at Mine Falls Park. We have a favorite loop that gets the number of steps we want, and there are so many alternatives that we can vary it up or down according to how we feel or how much time we have, and sometimes we take my son’s dog.

I love to walk along the canal and scan for fish as I walk. Mostly just little bluegill-type fish, but now and then I catch sight of larger ones. Not sure what. I have heard people catch bass there.

We have seen deer, muskrat, beaver, and blue heron, at different places times.

Paths are mostly shaded by tall trees, so even on the hottest days of summer it is a nice place to walk.

The paths under the highway are cool... literally.

There is an actual waterfall, which is nice, but you have to leave the main path to see it. When the water is rushing you can easily hear it from the main path, as you pass the area.

A very well maintained park. Great bit of nature tucked right in the heart of Nashua.

Watch out for poison ivy along the canal. They do treat for it, but sometimes it is present in the tall grass along the shore.

Caution: I have never had a problem, but I have encountered a few sketchy people over the years, so stay alert. Definitely not safe after dark. Some areas, near downtown, tend to become campgrounds for homeless people.

By susanchadwick924 |

Mine Falls features both paved and dirt trails for walking, biking, carriage pushing and running. Several access points to connect with Lincoln Park, Nashua high school South, and connects to Downtown Nashua along the Nashua River and canals. Huge trees, river canal, rushing rapids near the dam—you would never think you are within the Nashua city lines!

By tokeri51 |

This park is in the middle of the city, yet it is tranquil and relaxing, with plenty of trails for either walking or biking.
The park also has soccer fields and canals for canoeing or kayaking

By Seriously1969 |

I love to walk to many winding trails at Mines Falls Park. There are several trails to walk/jog. The scenery is beautiful, and there are clearly marked paths to let you be a part of nature and feel secure that you won't get lost. I enjoy several long walks/jogs at Mines Falls, especially in the fall when the leaves change.

By Tom_the_Sad_Sailor01 |

This is really an awesome network of trails, and it can be reached by so many areas around Nashua. You can quickly walk from downtown, under the highway, behind the High School all the way to the Police station/rink area, all along the river and canals. There are a few Rec fields along the way too, so a picnic and frisbee are great options too. It's a great place to get away for a couple of hours, but be back home within a few minutes.

By oldwoodboats |

Splendid walking trails; one of North America's longest surviving power canals feeding the downtown mills; great Gate House at Mine Falls Dam; lots of access points and parking

By Paul B |

This is a fantastic park to walk. There are multiple trails that are miles long. The scenery is great. They people you meet are wonderful. The trailers are well described and marked. I highly recommended Mines Falls Park. We have walked over 150 miles in one year at the park and love every step.

By Amber C |

This park is large for a city park with well maintained trails. We pushed a jogging stroller for miles around. Lots of nice water views and wildlife sightings. We saw a Pileated woodpecker, a great blue heron and a Beaver

By Therry NS |

I adore Mine Falls park. I have taken part in the annual MS walk which sometimes takes place here. Woody, the paths are well maintained, there are views of the river. The paths tend to be fairly level, and it is easy to walk here if you are slightly disabled, and it looked as though the paths were wheelchair acessible.

By BobNH93 |

Wonderful large park with a variety of trails from paved paths to narrow trails through the woods. This is really a place for strolling, walking, jogging, or biking. Many miles of trails, nicely wooded. Great for biking although most are on foot. Lots of people with dogs.

By edfc |

We visited the Park during our recent stay at the Nashua Courtyard during Easter weekend. We have stayed in Nashua many times and never visited this park. Im so sorry I missed it all these years.

This is a great park for walking and there are many people enjoying the park. We have never been here and did not have a park map. As a result we took an approx 2 hour walk trying to locate where we parked!! It was very enjoyable but a map would have made for an easier time finding our car!

We will be back to visit again but if you are not familiar with the park it is advisable to bring a map. While you will not get lost you certainly wont know where in the park you are.

By pmat15 |

We came here on a referral from our hotel that this was a nice park to walk the dog. The park itself is nicely maintained and offers lots of scenic views. The wide walking paths along the rivers offered ample room for the many people out walking/exercising. The one downside is the lack of bathrooms, and with all the people around you have no choice but to hold it in.

By Alan S |

I walked around many trails and love the scenic views and riverfront has to offer. Would definitely go again.

By Lakesrider |

Had never been but after an operation was told to walk. A lot. So this place is just down the street from me so I decided to try it one afternoon. Parking was easy. The trail I was on was easy. Not many obsticals. Walked a few miles I think and back to the car. Next time I go I'll bring my camera. I did see two deer off in the distance but they bolted when they heard me. So you might see some wildlife to boot. It was an easy trail....So do it.

By Horstflieger |

I walk through the park weekly and find it peaceful and scenic, if (a very large if) there are few people around. More and more the park is used by running clubs, cross country teams, bikers, and strollers, often in groups, which limit the potential of this urban nature preserve. Some of the abutters to the park, the ice arena and the high school, do not do enough to ensure their detritus is properly disposed. All in all, a positive asset for the community.

By Keith S |

Nashua put a lot of effort into making Mine Falls a top attraction for locals. It's well maintained and generally kept clean. There are several volunteer groups that do clean up that I think keep it cleaner than the city would on it's own.
The boat launch was recently upgraded, which is a major benefit for local anglers. Sadly however, local joggers seem to be too lazy to park in the car parking lot and instead insist on parking in the only two or three spots meant for trucks with boat trailers. There are signs to this effect but our local walkers/joggers ignore them and park so they can exercise as little as possible when exercising- and the police seem uninterested in enforcing reserved parking.
Within the parking area is the ice rink, football field, a YMCA, and public works/DOT facility. So the parking area is often quite full or will have large portions of parking roped off for DOT equipment.
There isn't much else in the immediate area, and despite the police station being a couple blocks away, Mine Falls is remote enough that it's seen some crime occur after dark.

By DebFex07 |

Was looking to take 2 co-workers someplace we could get in a quick walk or run before dinner while on a business trip in the area. Remembered Mine Falls from when I used to live in the area. Perfect place to walk or run. Well maintained trails, and not too crowded.

By Jose' C |

Mines Falls is a lovely "Green Space" in Nashua. There are walk and bike paths that take you through wooded areas and along a small river / canal. There are also softball fields for outdoor sporting activities.

By Renee B |

This is a great to place whether walking the dog, riding bikes or going for a run. We have even taken a canoe, and kayaks through the canals. Nice little nature getaway and you totally forget that your still in a city.

By polaraubie |

This is a very large park that offers miles of woodland trails along waterways and paths that work through towering pines. There are many small side paths that take you through out of the way places in the park too. I have even gotten a bit lost while exploring, but never too lost - always able to get back to where I need to be. Very peaceful and a wonderful place to spend an hour walking.

By alicen19 |

This spot is amazing as it follows the rail trail in Nashua basically, We walk it alot at lunch and suggest bringing a bag to help keep the trash minimal!

By tralfaz1234 |

It's a very scenic hike along the canal up to the mine falls dam. Only issues I'd recommend not traveling alone. It's near city center & it can get kind of "ghetto" at times.

By marshalltsien@gmail.com |

Great park to go for walks in the Fall: multiple entrances, cub scouts has activities here also, multiple soccer fields where kids have classes and tournament.

By Rick W |

This is a park in the middle of a small city with miles of paved and dirt walking trails alongside forests and waterways. It's a great place to get away.

By Eric R |

I take my dog for a walk around Mine falls every few weeks. Relatively flat area right along the river and canal and I always stop and view the falls over the power plant. The pine trees tower over the trails along the water so its always shady even on a hot day.

Please be courteous and always pick up after your dog. I do. There is a poop bag dispenser at the entrance.

By Vintagepair |

This has to be the best inner city hike and bike trail I have ever been on. Take a step or ride down on to the trail from your hectic day...take a picnic, and enjoy this easy access to nature. This is an awesome place to visit.

By Maria Botcheva |

beautiful and serene!
if you walk with kids, dogs - avoid crazy bikers! The place is big enough to feel surrounded by nature and to find walks and trails that are not crowded!

By NEfamily |

This is a nice place to ride. Just be sure to get on the trail you want in the first place.- some are more difficult than others.

By Traveling_ar0und |

We just loved everything about this beautiful park. It was so beautiful. The trails were filled with breathtaking views. We spent over 4 hours walking around.

By eeppiy |

Nice place for a walk/run for you and your dog. Paved and unpaved trails. You can walk right into town at one end all the way to the ice arena at the other. A few soccer fields as well. We also bike some parts although not all trails are suitable. Especially nice to walk near the water.

By Countriebum |

There is no playground. But nature is your playground. My 2 year old loves to explore the woods! Say hi to all the people 😆, and just enjoy the quiet. There are so many trails, and bridges. There are several entrances to the park as well. I have been there a dozen times and I'm still getting a lay of the land. Love this little piece or wooded heaven in the city.

By burkeyjb56 |

I've used the Mine Falls Park hundreds of times. It's centrally located, has miles of trails, it's quiet, and it's dog friendly but they must be on a leash. There are very few hills so it's a good environment for those not in in tip top shape.

By Kevin E |

Brought my niece and grand niece (8 years old) and several others to hike. And though there was still snow on the ground and feet got wet- it was a wonderful experience for everyone. At times it was like we were the only ones there- though we knew we weren't, they way the travels went and the falls we pretty.

By donnot |

Have been going to Mine Falls Park for years. It's a nice city park with miles of walking trails (some paved, some not) along the Nashua River and Nashua mill yard canal that take you to Mine Falls on one end and the mill yard in downtown Nashua on the other end. There are several entry points with free parking, such as behind Nashua High School South or near the UPS warehouse at Exit 5a off of Rte. 3, or at the falls themselves, near the YMCA beside Stellos Stadium. It is safe to walk or bike there although sometimes you can see some characters along the way. I am not a jogger but I would only run there as a woman during broad daylight as the trails are long, most through the woods and it can be isolating. No facilities (except maybe a few porta potties at the soccer fields near the UPS entrance).

By gymmomto3 |

We take our dogs here often and even when you want a nice walk. There are many places to stop and take in nature's beauty.

By Heather D |

Its a huge park area with lots of walking trails and nature to explore. Great for the whole family or just to be alone with your thoughts

By GoryDetails |

I've had many pleasant walks through Mine Falls Park over the years, from casual strolls to geocaching excursions, and it's always a joy. Most recently I saw a great blue heron, and there are wildflowers in season, otters, even the occasional bear. A wonderful nature walk easily accessible from down town.

By MattD1125 |

I grew up going here with my family either riding bikes through the trails or playing soccer. It's a great spot to take your family for quiet day outside.

By Brita S |

Went for a 1-2 hr walk while travelling in the area. It's a very nice park with plenty of walks, but they are not necessarily well marked. We pulled up a map on the phone, which was helpful. Only downside was that it was a little hard to find parking, there is no one entrance, but several small ones. No bathroom either. WE hoped to see some birds, but had no luck. Still recommend stopping!

By BobbieMagee |

Awesome Place Anytime of Year!!! The entire Family enjoy's it & we walk Harry (on a leash) here often... Please be aware this is not a Dog Park. Dogs are welcome which we Love!!! But they must be leashed and picked up after...

By Explore236585 |

I go walking every time I’ve got a couple of hrs. Start at high school and walk to mills and back along the canal. Any season is a good time to go. Not plowed in winter or early spring. Wear proper foot wear.

By ymiheere |

You will actually see turtles basking in the sun on warm days when you walk along the river. Best right after a few days of continuous rain for those that enjoy seeing the small falls along the nature trail. Also breathtaking during fall foliage!

By ellenmuckstadt |

Love walking through Mines Falls in the Fall. The leaves are gorgeous right now! Paths are clear and it's not too crowded. Great walking trails.

By McGallin |

I've ridden bikes through Mines Falls for years with my kids and a convoy of the neighborhood kids. It was a beautiful ride… long paths that went in all different directions connecting to all places within the city. I saw many, many people jogging, including track teams and various sports clubs. Lots of mountain biking fans riding through.

Nice variety of scenery - like you can ride along the Nashua River, and to the spot where it flows over the Mine Falls dam. It is a pretty fun "waterfall" to watch. Along the path you can ride underneath various bridges where the kids like to "yell" as they ride through because it echoes in a really cool way. So it makes it fun to stop along the way and just take in the view and scenery.

And of course the beautiful fresh air.

By tmfoxx |

This is a great place to walk, run, or bike with its miles of trails and its beautiful scenery. It is especially beautiful in the fall! It is safe and frequently patrolled by city police. There are several ways to enter the trails but be advised, parking is limited at most of them. Best entrance for parking is through the industrial area behind UPS. Pets area allowed but must be on a leash. If you're visiting Nashua in the fall for recreation or business, it's a great place to escape the congestion of the city.

By amygorman |

nice oasis in Nashua for escaping the hustle and bustle of work, life, downtown. getting out into nature without having to drive a long distance for a hike. Always leave refreshed

By Laura D |

Mines falls is a great location to bike, jog/run, walk and sightsee. There are many trails for every adventure level. There are also soccer/baseball fields and a playground. Seeing the dam and the falls are also beautiful. I go there all the time to enjoy the trails.

By Sharon L |

Not a very pretty park, but good for a quick bike ride. It's kept clean by the High School kids and they do a good job. The water is stagnant in a lot of places and smell a bit 'funky'. There are no hills for hiking, it's a flat walk for kids, dogs, families with some parts of the trail going under the highway overpass.

By SignoraEmma |

I visited with family and children. It was a nice sunny day in February and I was very pleased with it.

There are what seems like endless trails here. Though you probably will not get lost, you may want to download the trail map before you go (nashuanh.gov/documentcenter/view/2328). We parked in the lot near Stellos Stadium which is near the boat launch and the hydro dam gatehouse and falls. The only thing missing were restroom facilities.

This place is totally awesome. ...great trails and wooded landscape. River meanders through the forest. Great clean and wide open trails. Lots of dog walkers but plenty of room to share. Peaceful and plenty of parking. Bring water for you and your pet, and maybe a snack

I love running here. Trails range from easy carriage roads to mild technical trails. One can easily do everything from small loops to 13 mile loops. The canal is nice to run along or run on in the winter with micro spikes. Peel off and do pick ups on the high school track. Finish at the ymca and hit the pool if you're a member.

Great place to walk, run, bike, snowshoe! Wide trails, multiple entry points, wildlife is abundant. I would highly recommend this park, whether visiting Nashua and the surrounding area, or you live nearby!

This is a public park in Nashua with miles of trails along the Nashua River and canal. The terrain is not challenging and suitable for about anything which has wheels including strollers. The park is clean and beautiful. You will enjoy a visit I am sure!
